- 1:54Speaker 2: making sure go to Rouses dot com today, Rouses dot
- 1:57Speaker 2: com yesterday over on moving the Chains, we did an
- 2:04Speaker 2: exercise where we looked at.
- 2:07Speaker 3: I love an exercise.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Okay, oh I hope now it's like, oh, that sucks.
- 2:13Speaker 2: We looked at a team that had a losing record,
- 2:16Speaker 2: so they had to have a losing record last year,
- 2:18Speaker 2: that can make it to the Super Bowl this year.
- 2:22Speaker 5: And you might be like, that's not gonna happen. The
- 2:24Speaker 5: Patriots did.
- 2:25Speaker 2: The Patriots were picking in the top five, they selected
- 2:27Speaker 2: Will Campbell and they made it to the Super Bowl.
- 2:29Speaker 5: So it can happen.
- 2:32Speaker 2: So as you look at the standings, and just as
- 2:34Speaker 2: a refresher, here of the teams that had a losing record,
- 2:39Speaker 2: the Dolphins, the Jets, the Bengals, the Browns, the Colts,
- 2:43Speaker 2: the Titans, the Chiefs, the Raiders, the Cowboys, Commanders, Giants,
- 2:50Speaker 2: the Saints, and the Cardinals. Of those teams, do you
- 2:55Speaker 2: have one that you feel like, realistically can make.
- 2:58Speaker 5: It to the Super Bowl? And if y'all don't have
- 3:02Speaker 5: it yet, I mean I'll start.
- 3:04Speaker 7: I think I think for the exercise in the point
- 3:08Speaker 7: of arguments, I think you kind of got to take
- 3:10Speaker 7: the Chiefs out of this equation.
- 3:11Speaker 5: No, I don't think you do.
- 3:13Speaker 6: I don't.
- 3:13Speaker 5: I don't think the Chiefs are just going to be back.
- 3:16Speaker 6: They have the but they have a chance to like.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Because of their past history. Sure, and if you want
- 3:21Speaker 2: to select the Chiefs, that's fine. I don't want to
- 3:23Speaker 2: take them off the board because they fit into this category.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Their quarterback is coming off of a devastating knee injury. Now,
- 3:30Speaker 2: they did sign Kenneth Walker, you like that. They lost
- 3:33Speaker 2: their top two corners, they lost starting safety.
- 3:36Speaker 5: There's a lot of things that they did lose.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Travis Kelsey is another year older, she writes, I don't
- 3:42Speaker 2: know what his situation is going to be, so there's
- 3:43Speaker 2: still question marks even with the Chiefs.
- 3:45Speaker 5: I think, yeah, I would agree with you.
- 3:48Speaker 8: I don't think the Chiefs are going to be that
- 3:50Speaker 8: good this year. I mean, oh, you lost your two
- 3:54Speaker 8: starting corners. You got mansword Delane back or you got
- 3:57Speaker 8: him in the draft. Great, that doesn't solve your problem
- 4:00Speaker 8: at the other corner because both those boys are now
- 4:02Speaker 8: in uh the LA Rams. That division is only getting
- 4:05Speaker 8: better if but Nick is fully healthy. I expect the
- 4:08Speaker 8: Raiders to be a little bit better. The Chargers aren't
- 4:10Speaker 8: going anywhere. That's a tough division. Chiefs old, Yeah, that's true.
- 4:18Speaker 7: But as far as like the exercise, like if you
- 4:20Speaker 7: are pitting them against any other team with a losing record,
- 4:24Speaker 7: just based on the history itself.
- 4:26Speaker 8: Yeah, I have an answer. But the Chiefs isn't a
- 4:28Speaker 8: bad one.
- 4:29Speaker 5: I've got I've got one.
- 4:30Speaker 2: It's not the Chiefs. Are you gonna Are you gonna
- 4:33Speaker 2: go with the Chiefs? You can go whoever you want.
- 4:37Speaker 6: I'm looking at this, okay.
- 4:38Speaker 7: I mean there's there's only a couple that would ever
- 4:42Speaker 7: have any shot this year.
- 4:47Speaker 6: Go ahead, Taylor, since.
- 4:49Speaker 8: Donati bingals for me and I know a couple of
- 4:52Speaker 8: weeks ago we talked about Burrow a little bit, saying, okay,
- 4:54Speaker 8: this gives off twenty nineteen vibes, like what does that mean?
- 4:57Speaker 8: But I look at the AFC North and I think
- 4:59Speaker 8: it's wide open this year it as ever has been.
- 5:02Speaker 8: I mean, what are the Steelers going to be with
- 5:04Speaker 8: Rogers and McCarthy, like, they're probably going to be a
- 5:07Speaker 8: nine win team because it seems like that's what they
- 5:08Speaker 8: are every single year. The Ravens, yeah, they were eight
- 5:12Speaker 8: to nine last year. But jesse mentor first time NFL
- 5:14Speaker 8: head coach, what's that going to look like? Lamar with
- 5:17Speaker 8: a new OC, I think there's question marks there. I
- 5:20Speaker 8: think the Browns are the Browns. I think they're gonna
- 5:21Speaker 8: be bad. I think Cincinnati has a chance to win
- 5:24Speaker 8: that division, maybe even get a first round by if
- 5:27Speaker 8: the records are good enough, and then boom, you upset
- 5:30Speaker 8: a few teams in the playoffs, you're right there. So
- 5:32Speaker 8: I like Cincinnati because of the division they're in.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Mine was also the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 5:38Speaker 2: That was the team that I had because you have
- 5:41Speaker 2: what you have to have, which is an elite quarterback.
- 5:44Speaker 2: If you have an elite quarterback, you have an opportunity.
- 5:46Speaker 2: They have an elite offense. Now they were horrid on
- 5:49Speaker 2: defense last year, but you don't have to be the
- 5:51Speaker 2: best defense. You just have to be somewhere between eighteen
- 5:54Speaker 2: and twenty two. If you're somewhere eighteen to twenty two
- 5:57Speaker 2: with that offense, with the quarterback you have, with your
- 6:00Speaker 2: you have and also I like the fact that they
- 6:01Speaker 2: went and got an insurance policy and resigned Joe Flacco.
- 6:05Speaker 2: They signed Josh Johnson, two quarterbacks that are from the
- 6:07Speaker 2: two thousand and eight draft class, so you got veteran quarterbacks.
- 6:10Speaker 2: So if Joe gets hurt, you're not gonna have Joe
- 6:12Speaker 2: level of play. But you're not going to have this
- 6:14Speaker 2: huge fall off, a cliff fall off, because you got
- 6:17Speaker 2: some veteran guys back there. You sign you know, a
- 6:21Speaker 2: couple of free agents defensively, some older guys including you
- 6:24Speaker 2: know Brian Cook from Kansas City talking about them, boy
- 6:28Speaker 2: MafA from Seattle. You trade for Dexter Lawrence. Dexter Lawrence
- 6:32Speaker 2: is going to be like the key piece to this
- 6:34Speaker 2: make a break. You traded a top ten pick for him.
- 6:36Speaker 2: He's got to be good. But I like you signing
- 6:39Speaker 2: or sorry drafting cash is how in the second round.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Loved him coming out Carrio Davis out of Arizona slash Washington.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Loved him in the third round tall rangy corner. I
- 6:50Speaker 2: very easily can see. And like Taylor said, there's three
- 6:53Speaker 2: new coaches in the AFC North. That's a division that
- 6:56Speaker 2: never has changed, never ever has changed. They got a
- 6:59Speaker 2: lot of Zach Taylor still, Zach Taylor is the only
- 7:02Speaker 2: returning coach who.
- 7:03Speaker 8: Would have thought he would the others.
- 7:07Speaker 3: He was the one with the hottest seat arguably.
- 7:10Speaker 5: And this look, there'll be some time.
- 7:11Speaker 2: You'll take the Steelers players a little bit to figure out.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Mike McCarthy, Jesse Minner will take them a little bit
- 7:16Speaker 2: of time. Todd Monkey will take them a little bit
- 7:18Speaker 2: of time to figure out them. So I think even
- 7:22Speaker 2: early in the season there's benefits for the Bengals.
- 7:24Speaker 7: I think with the Bengals this this season as well.
- 7:28Speaker 7: I mean, obviously you're going to be if you can
- 7:30Speaker 7: stay healthy on offense, your offense should be one of
- 7:33Speaker 7: the tops in the league.
- 7:34Speaker 5: Yep.
- 7:36Speaker 7: And to your point, all you need is a serviceable defense.
- 7:39Speaker 7: You don't need a great one. It would help if
- 7:40Speaker 7: they were I mean good. Obviously you would feel good
- 7:43Speaker 7: about like a you know, preseason Super Bowl pick, but
- 7:49Speaker 7: you also look at your quarterbacks mindset too, like a
- 7:52Speaker 7: lot was you know, it was kind of fun to
- 7:55Speaker 7: talk about his comment comparing this team with the Bengals
- 7:58Speaker 7: to twenty nineteen lsu terrible comparison, but like, Okay, you
- 8:03Speaker 7: want your quarterback to be confident and that's awesome, and
- 8:06Speaker 7: you look at like obviously he's feeling really good about it.
- 8:10Speaker 7: But you rewind like six months it's a really good
- 8:13Speaker 7: I think it's a good sign for the Bengals because
- 8:15Speaker 7: like six months ago people were like worried that he
- 8:17Speaker 7: was going to retire.
- 8:18Speaker 8: Yeah, like just out of the blue.
- 8:19Speaker 6: But now He's like, this is the best team ever.
- 8:21Speaker 7: So there's obviously been a really cool and good change
- 8:24Speaker 7: in the mindset of Joe Burrow going into this year.
- 8:28Speaker 7: So a lot to be excited about for the Bengals fans.
- 8:31Speaker 7: A lot of it has to do with what Jake
- 8:32Speaker 7: said too, like this is this division should be yours
- 8:36Speaker 7: this year just because of all the changeover. You never
- 8:40Speaker 7: you never know. It's the NFL, you never know. But
- 8:43Speaker 7: I look at this list of teams with losing records
- 8:47Speaker 7: last year and I'm automatically just canceling, taking everybody in
- 8:52Speaker 7: the NFC out of the equation, okay to make the
- 8:55Speaker 7: super Bowl. And I get I know the Saints there,
- 8:57Speaker 7: and they're not making the super Bowl. With the Juggernauts
- 9:01Speaker 7: out in the West for the NFC and for that matter,
- 9:05Speaker 7: a couple of jugger Nuts up North as well, Like,
- 9:07Speaker 7: you're not making it to the super Bowl. Some everybody
- 9:09Speaker 7: with a losing record in the NFC, you got no
- 9:12Speaker 7: shot at the super Bowl. You can make a run,
- 9:13Speaker 7: you can make a playoff run. I think the Saints
- 9:15Speaker 7: are going to make the playoffs. They're not making it
- 9:18Speaker 7: to the super Bowl though. Past the Rams, the Seahawks.
- 9:22Speaker 7: But what are you laughing at over there?
- 9:24Speaker 5: Tailor?
- 9:26Speaker 8: Just looking at the teams in the NFC that had
- 9:28Speaker 8: a losing record in every team in the NFC South
- 9:31Speaker 8: had a losing record by year. Yea Panthers won the
- 9:34Speaker 8: division at eight and nine.
- 9:35Speaker 5: Yeah record.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 7: And so for the sake of the exercise, I'm gonna
- 9:40Speaker 7: I'll turn my focus to the AFC.
- 9:42Speaker 6: I've kind of like talked about the.
- 9:43Speaker 7: Ravens this year when we had when we did, we
- 9:45Speaker 7: played the game like a month ago. Which team with
- 9:47Speaker 7: a losing record can improve their record by like five?
- 9:50Speaker 7: The Ravens are always my pick, but I'm not picking
- 9:52Speaker 7: them to go to the super Bowl. Like they're a
- 9:54Speaker 7: good regular season team. Lamar is a great regular season
- 9:58Speaker 7: quarterback all he has been, so I think they had
- 10:01Speaker 7: the best chance of improving their record from last year.
- 10:04Speaker 7: I have four or five games. This is This is
- 10:10Speaker 7: a tough one. But just for the sake of the
- 10:12Speaker 7: Cleveland Browns is the answer. I'm not the Cleveland Browns.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Oh my god, you had me. I was like, WHOA,
- 10:23Speaker 2: I thought he said it all up? That was like
- 10:25Speaker 2: w w E villain style. Get on the mic and.
- 10:30Speaker 8: I'm honestly disappointed that you miss the argument for this reason.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Dude, you had me.
- 10:38Speaker 6: I was all in now the just for the sake
- 10:42Speaker 6: of the argument.
- 10:45Speaker 7: And again in my brain, I'm canceling the Chiefs out
- 10:48Speaker 7: because my home has already been in Super Bowl like
- 10:49Speaker 7: a billion times. So yeah, there's always a chance that
- 10:51Speaker 7: Patrick mahonmes is going to go to the Super Bowl.
- 10:53Speaker 7: Always always a chance. I'll say, the Colts they were
- 10:59Speaker 7: rolling to everybody hurt, everybody got hurt him.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Yeah, our got.
- 11:06Speaker 7: Danny Dimes was killing it for somehow, I was playing
- 11:10Speaker 7: good football. Yeah, proven everyone why it was the first
- 11:14Speaker 7: round pick.
- 11:15Speaker 6: So you know why not?
- 11:17Speaker 7: Their their division it does got a little little heat
- 11:20Speaker 7: to it, but it doesn't have heat like the West.
- 11:22Speaker 6: No, so you know why not?
- 11:25Speaker 2: All right?
- 11:26Speaker 6: I like that.
- 11:26Speaker 7: I mean I don't have any specific reason except for
- 11:29Speaker 7: the fact that they were hot last years, like an
- 11:32Speaker 7: m v P.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Like they got Alec Pearce if he comes back from
- 11:34Speaker 2: his injury. They got Johnathon Taylor, one of the best
- 11:36Speaker 2: running backs in the NFL. Tyler Warren was good last
- 11:39Speaker 2: year as a rookie. I think he's gonna be even better,
- 11:42Speaker 2: you know.
- 11:42Speaker 9: I don't hate that pick for the same reasons that
- 11:44Speaker 9: Jake just and for the last time we did this
- 11:46Speaker 9: exercise where we were like which team can get five.
- 11:50Speaker 5: More wins or whatever?
- 11:51Speaker 9: Like, I I think the Colts are good and they
- 11:54Speaker 9: will be good once Danny Dimes comes back and he's
- 11:56Speaker 9: healthy and everything. And the only other team in that
- 12:00Speaker 9: division that I'd be like, okay, maybe not is the Jaguars,
- 12:03Speaker 9: but we don't know what they're going to be so
- 12:06Speaker 9: and the Texans were. They were somehow good even though c. J.
- 12:10Speaker 9: Stroud was asked that that's.
- 12:11Speaker 6: The thing, that defense is so good in Houston, like
- 12:15Speaker 6: they they CJ.
- 12:19Speaker 7: Strod, if you were just a shadow of your rookie year,
- 12:22Speaker 7: y'all are going to the Super Bowl, right, That defense
- 12:25Speaker 7: is so good.
- 12:25Speaker 8: It was worse than that. Matt he got worse as
- 12:27Speaker 8: the season went alone.
- 12:28Speaker 6: He got worse.
- 12:29Speaker 8: He was worse towards the end of the year than he.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Was at the beginning, and Williams got better.
- 12:33Speaker 6: He was the worst quarterback in the NFL last year.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and Tua was in there.
- 12:38Speaker 6: I'm trying to think of who would be worse.
- 12:40Speaker 8: Justin Fields had multiple games way through for like less
- 12:43Speaker 8: than eighty yards from Okay, so he didn't really he
- 12:46Speaker 8: didn't care. Oh, you got to be like an everyday starter,
- 12:49Speaker 8: you gotta be.
- 12:49Speaker 7: Okay, he was the worst franchise quarterback in the NFL.
- 12:53Speaker 8: Okay, yes, absolutely, like.
- 12:55Speaker 7: Established franchise shoe last year. Now his rookie year is great.
- 13:03Speaker 7: So I'm not hating on the guy, just hating on
- 13:07Speaker 7: his play is, you know, objectively bad. He made a
- 13:14Speaker 7: couple of good throws though, says highlight film is probably
- 13:16Speaker 7: pretty good.
- 13:21Speaker 8: So many weapons on offense, Dude, that is not a
- 13:24Speaker 8: team that lacks weapons offensive.
- 13:26Speaker 5: Right, So final answer Bengals Bengals cults.
- 13:32Speaker 9: Yeah, So when I was thinking about it, I was
- 13:34Speaker 9: going to go Bengals for the same reasons. But to
- 13:38Speaker 9: go different, I'll go complete opposite of what Matt said,
- 13:43Speaker 9: and I'll say the Ravens, Okay, we'll make the super Bowl.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Do I fully believe in what I'm saying.
- 13:51Speaker 9: No, But I mean I think you can make the
- 13:53Speaker 9: same argument for them kind of with like they're in
- 13:57Speaker 9: the same division as the Bengals, which is pretty much
- 14:01Speaker 9: up for grabs.
- 14:02Speaker 3: With the exception of those two teams, they have a
- 14:05Speaker 3: new coach.
- 14:06Speaker 9: I think Lamar Jackson's Lamar Jackson, and he's always pretty solid.
- 14:11Speaker 9: He's gonna continue to be good, even though last season wasn't.
- 14:14Speaker 6: Like I'd like to see him make a playoff run.
- 14:16Speaker 6: Just like the people kind.
- 14:18Speaker 9: Of shut up, right, got Derrick Henry And I know
- 14:21Speaker 9: we don't pay attention to stuff like this because it
- 14:24Speaker 9: doesn't really mean anything.
- 14:25Speaker 3: But they're like third in the FPI to go to
- 14:28Speaker 3: the Super Bowl. Yeah, wow, it's the Rams, the Bills,
- 14:31Speaker 3: and then the Ravens.
- 14:32Speaker 5: Wow.
- 14:34Speaker 9: So I'll say Ravens for argument's sake, but I think
- 14:37Speaker 9: it's the Bengals.
- 14:38Speaker 6: The Ravens have like a wild like season over under
- 14:43Speaker 6: Like when what was it we did twelve? Yeah, it
- 14:46Speaker 6: was one of the highest in the NFL's like twelve
- 14:47Speaker 6: and a half.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Yeah, you know something we don't. I know, that's it. Really,
- 14:53Speaker 5: it's surprising me.
- 14:54Speaker 7: When we did that exercise, I was looking at the
- 14:55Speaker 7: over like the wind totals, and it was like twelve
- 14:58Speaker 7: and a half at the time. For the Ravens, they're
- 15:04Speaker 7: gonna be good.
- 15:05Speaker 5: You know.
- 15:07Speaker 2: The thing that worries me about the thing that worries
- 15:10Speaker 2: me about the Ravens is they're gonna have to have
- 15:13Speaker 2: young players not be young players from day one, like
- 15:16Speaker 2: a receiver, because if they don't, your eleven personnel is
- 15:20Speaker 2: Rashad Bateman, Davontes Walker and the Flowers is awesome.
- 15:25Speaker 5: But you also don't have Isaiah Like he's no longer
- 15:27Speaker 5: on this team.
- 15:27Speaker 8: That's their biggest loss in the all season.
- 15:29Speaker 5: Patch, your records. No longer on this team.
- 15:31Speaker 2: I mean all jokes society as a fullback, but he
- 15:33Speaker 2: was in the game a lot for them. We did
- 15:35Speaker 2: a lot of things for them.
- 15:39Speaker 5: Lucas Scott is their fullback. Isn't that the guy from
- 15:41Speaker 5: One Tree Hill?
- 15:41Speaker 2: It's so Lucascotts.
- 15:49Speaker 6: He's got three names like J T. T. If you
- 15:54Speaker 6: if you got three names, you good.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Looking dude, Sctor Taylor, Thomas Taylor, Michael is attractive.
- 16:03Speaker 6: Brianson Green.
- 16:08Speaker 5: What a pool? What a pool?
- 16:10Speaker 7: You well done, sir. I remember names from my childhood.
- 16:13Speaker 7: But yeah, adulthood, nothing, nothing for you. Only you only
- 16:17Speaker 7: have so much room for the name. It's only so
- 16:18Speaker 7: much room, only so.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Much I can do that. That's one of your best ones.
- 16:23Speaker 2: You'll never be able to.
- 16:24Speaker 5: Top that one. I don't think I don't need to,
- 16:28Speaker 5: don't need.
- 16:28Speaker 3: To, Sarah, does it work for girls. Sarah Jessica Parker.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Is yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, I knew you.
- 16:40Speaker 5: I knew you knew. I'm just saying, maybe.
- 16:44Speaker 3: It does, Sarah Michelle Geller.
- 16:45Speaker 5: Yeah, Michael B.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Jordan's bro, that might be the hottest one.
- 16:53Speaker 5: How about we're just rolling them off there about this.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Joseph Gordon Levitt.
- 17:03Speaker 8: Oh, guys, I got the ultimate I got the ultimate one.
- 17:07Speaker 8: James Earl Jones voice flies voice.
- 17:13Speaker 5: Oh my god.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Matthew Flynn good, Oh man, he tried to throw it
- 17:21Speaker 2: in there too.
- 17:22Speaker 5: He tried to get it right in there. All right.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I gotta reset by telling you about our friends over

- 20:00Speaker 5: Well, I don't know.
- 20:02Speaker 2: We get a little side hustle on the side, a
- 20:03Speaker 2: little footy going. It is American football, American Football Camp.

- 20:19Speaker 2: to give you actual verified laser times, give you a
- 20:22Speaker 2: card with all your verified times. Certainly if you're in
- 20:25Speaker 2: the older group, you can pass that around to potential
- 20:28Speaker 2: suitors there at the next level. So looking forward to that,
- 20:31Speaker 2: I am one hundred percent forcing tricking Matt Flynn in
- 20:35Speaker 2: going being a part of it. I'm going to force
- 20:38Speaker 2: and trick Richard Dick Dixon, Jacob Chair.
- 20:40Speaker 6: I can't be a part of that.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I sign up the only true can I do it?
- 20:45Speaker 2: Because you're over eighteen, But yes you can. Jacob Grichair

- 20:59Speaker 2: done this since shred for a long time. Going to
- 21:01Speaker 2: bring it to Baton Rouge. So looking forward to it,
- 21:03Speaker 2: and I might run a forty. I don't know, so
- 21:05Speaker 2: it goes. I think the coaches should have to run
- 21:07Speaker 2: a forty to see who's still got the fastest time.
- 21:09Speaker 2: You don't want to he still looks like he works
- 21:12Speaker 2: out a lot.
- 21:12Speaker 7: Bro we all have to walk over to Austiner like immediate,
- 21:17Speaker 7: like actually be carried over there.
- 21:19Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 21:20Speaker 5: I think Jake probably still works out. So me and
- 21:22Speaker 5: you are? You and Dick Dixon?
- 21:24Speaker 7: No chance you ever seen someone with three pulled hamstrings.
- 21:28Speaker 7: I've never seen a pull like this.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Your whole back of your legs purple.
- 21:33Speaker 8: Yeah, this thing, this thing really got shredded out there.
- 21:36Speaker 8: What'd you do? I tried fast walking?
- 21:38Speaker 2: Hey, Jonathan, look at this, I've never seen one of
- 21:41Speaker 2: these before.
- 21:42Speaker 3: About to be a case study.
- 21:45Speaker 8: Take pictures, put it on our website.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yeah, so You can go to Elite Training Academy's website

- 22:04Speaker 2: big camps. First one that I'm gonna be doing inside
- 22:07Speaker 2: at Elite. Looking forward to that.
- 22:08Speaker 3: You should do it outside?
- 22:10Speaker 5: Nah bro, Nah bro. Well the coaches are soft.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Me.
- 22:16Speaker 3: What if you've never played football before, they can go.
- 22:20Speaker 5: Absolutely a beginner.
- 22:21Speaker 2: Yes, you don't, you don't. You won't have to have
- 22:25Speaker 2: ever done anything. We're gonna get some times, we have
- 22:29Speaker 2: some fun.
- 22:30Speaker 5: I'm gonna toss the old pigskin.
- 22:31Speaker 6: Around and guarantee your scholarship.
- 22:34Speaker 5: To Elite again.
- 22:39Speaker 2: That's the July twenty fifth, so less than a month away,
- 22:43Speaker 2: so go ahead and get.
- 22:44Speaker 5: Ready to go.
- 22:45Speaker 6: That's a joke about the scholarship. We're not can't care.
- 22:48Speaker 5: We are not guaranteeing those.
- 22:49Speaker 6: We have to be. Yeah, gotta take the what you
- 22:55Speaker 6: learned there and apply it.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Yeah, Uh it is, yes, it is.
- 23:01Speaker 2: It is male female like whatever, because I know we
- 23:04Speaker 2: got some girls out there balling on the flag football field,
- 23:07Speaker 2: no doubt about it. Huck Flynn will be there, Membacester
- 23:12Speaker 2: will be there. They don't know they're going yet, they'll
- 23:14Speaker 2: be there, no doubt. What's the date again, A lot
- 23:19Speaker 2: of twenty fifth. Don't be trying to schedule something over there.
- 23:22Speaker 2: We're just getting back from media day twenty fifth. Yeah,
- 23:24Speaker 2: we're just getting you know, we get back from me.
- 23:26Speaker 6: Today twenty third. Yeah.
- 23:30Speaker 5: Yeah, the whole family can come out, Lacy can come out,
- 23:32Speaker 5: and you spend time with the family.
- 23:33Speaker 6: That's on Saturday.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Yeah, watching this, watching the mental gymnastics of this man
- 23:46Speaker 2: trying to get out of it.
- 23:47Speaker 6: Oh no, no, no, I'm not gonna try to get
- 23:49Speaker 6: out of anything.
- 23:50Speaker 5: Just gonna do it. Oh yeah, Landre, we would fully
- 23:58Speaker 5: embrace you coming and running the four. That's what you're asked.
- 24:02Speaker 9: I'll couldn't do the whole camp, absolutely, I really would.
- 24:05Speaker 9: I love doing stuff like do something like this as
- 24:08Speaker 9: a team.
- 24:09Speaker 5: I think we should and film it. Forty yard dash. Okay,
- 24:13Speaker 5: what do you think your time would be?
- 24:15Speaker 2: Like?
- 24:16Speaker 5: A seven?
- 24:17Speaker 6: No, you could be you could be a seven.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Is is that a four to four fast? I'm not fast,
- 24:23Speaker 3: but you have to understand that I got slow twitch muscles.
- 24:26Speaker 2: It is crazy, like the difference between a four to four.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I guess five flat is big time kind of that
- 24:33Speaker 2: in real life.
- 24:34Speaker 7: I saw you seen Tom Brady run at the compound.
- 24:36Speaker 7: What was his This is like a five?
- 24:38Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe five and a half.
- 24:41Speaker 5: You can get in the six for sure. You can
- 24:44Speaker 5: get in sixes. Yeah.
- 24:45Speaker 7: I remember time in in middle school. I think we
- 24:48Speaker 7: were like seventh grade or something, and.
- 24:53Speaker 5: Oh, dang, so so we're in a five eight? Yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 5: I'll do eight.
- 24:59Speaker 8: Remember it was actually l SU football camp. First time
- 25:02Speaker 8: I ever got timmed in the forty I was going
- 25:04Speaker 8: to the sixth grade. We're in a five five and
- 25:07Speaker 8: I was like, oh dude blazing. I was like, are
- 25:10Speaker 8: my shoes?
- 25:10Speaker 2: Like?
- 25:12Speaker 8: Are they on fire?
- 25:13Speaker 5: Is this when Coach Files comes and offers me.
- 25:19Speaker 8: I did the little track run? Were they stick across
- 25:22Speaker 8: the finish line?
- 25:22Speaker 2: You know?
- 25:24Speaker 3: Your chest?
- 25:25Speaker 5: First?
- 25:25Speaker 8: I looked up. I was like, yeah, where's coach is at?
- 25:28Speaker 6: Where they at?
- 25:29Speaker 5: Y'all may come up there, You'll need.
- 25:32Speaker 8: To returner right here.
- 25:33Speaker 7: This guy, it's all those magic numbers.
- 25:38Speaker 8: So if we went that would be my goal. Five
- 25:40Speaker 8: point that would be that would be Michael am I
- 25:42Speaker 8: as fast as sixth grade self. It would be Michael.
- 25:45Speaker 9: I feel like if I played football, I'd want to
- 25:47Speaker 9: be tight end because they do a little bit of everything.
- 25:50Speaker 8: I think ten best athletes out there this day and age.
- 25:54Speaker 5: There's some of them. I still think block.
- 25:58Speaker 7: I will never I will that a corner is the
- 26:01Speaker 7: best athlete on the field because they got no most
- 26:06Speaker 7: of them don't have ball skills. To me, to be
- 26:08Speaker 7: a great athlete, you have to have corners so damn hard.
- 26:12Speaker 7: They're so fast.
- 26:13Speaker 6: It is hard.
- 26:14Speaker 2: It's one of the hardest positions. You're running backwards not
- 26:17Speaker 2: knowing what the guy running forwards is doing. And yeah,
- 26:20Speaker 2: also like you hope the guy's run the right cover
- 26:23Speaker 2: change direction. I'm not saying that they have the highest
- 26:25Speaker 2: football like you, but it like I'm going backwards, an
- 26:30Speaker 2: elite athlete in front of me is going forwards. He
- 26:33Speaker 2: knows where he's going and I don't, and I got
- 26:35Speaker 2: to cover him.
- 26:37Speaker 7: I mean, it brings up a great It brings up
- 26:39Speaker 7: a really great like argument though, and I've had it
- 26:41Speaker 7: with people like what is your definition of a great athlete?
- 26:47Speaker 6: Like and there's there's.
- 26:48Speaker 7: Two like like super fast, can run really fast. But
- 26:54Speaker 7: if you're playing in a again, I've seen this happen,
- 26:57Speaker 7: literally watch it with my eyeballs. What I thought was
- 27:01Speaker 7: an incredible athlete played right field in a charity softball
- 27:04Speaker 7: game and a pop up and his arm is up
- 27:07Speaker 7: to catch it and it lands five feet to his left.
- 27:11Speaker 7: Is that a great athlete to you? Like someone's super
- 27:13Speaker 7: fast but has no ball skills, yeah, or somebody that's
- 27:16Speaker 7: not fat, it might be like, but can play golf, tennis,
- 27:21Speaker 7: can't pick up a ping pong paddle, can't shoot a
- 27:23Speaker 7: shoot a bow and arrow to like any type of
- 27:26Speaker 7: hand eye coordination, coordinated blah blah blah, Like there's two
- 27:30Speaker 7: different types of athletes. To y'all, what would make you
- 27:33Speaker 7: say that's a great athlete right there?
- 27:35Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 27:36Speaker 9: It's a good question. I think that corners are very athletic,
- 27:44Speaker 9: So I guess.
- 27:45Speaker 5: Let me put it this way.
- 27:46Speaker 3: I was gonna say, like, to you, who's the better
- 27:51Speaker 3: athlete a corner? Like an elite corner.
- 27:53Speaker 9: Think about the most elite corner you can think of,
- 27:56Speaker 9: or the most elite wide receiver that you've ever seen.
- 28:01Speaker 6: Wide receiver?
- 28:03Speaker 2: Okay, see the most athletic gad that I ever puts
- 28:06Speaker 2: all together, that I ever played with was Antonio Comartie,
- 28:10Speaker 2: who was a corner.
- 28:11Speaker 6: That's why.
- 28:12Speaker 7: And so Jimba Fisher used to say this, he's like
- 28:14Speaker 7: the most athletic people that play any sport or basketball.
- 28:17Speaker 6: Players because they gotta do best.
- 28:19Speaker 7: They got back all they got to go, and they
- 28:22Speaker 7: have to have hand eye coordination and do all the.
- 28:26Speaker 8: I don't like in the NBA when they're like, hey,
- 28:28Speaker 8: you gotta okay O g Innobi. We talked about him,
- 28:32Speaker 8: he had a great final. Somebody's like he's a two
- 28:33Speaker 8: way player. Well, hell, everybody's supposed to be a two
- 28:35Speaker 8: way player basketball. Seems like he just tries harder defensively,
- 28:38Speaker 8: Like basketball, you gotta be a two way guy.
- 28:41Speaker 7: That's I hate the they can't play defense.
- 28:44Speaker 8: It's like they're not they don't want to.
- 28:46Speaker 6: Luca is just not a good defender. Well because he's lazy.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Yeah, because he wants to drink a beer after this.
- 28:53Speaker 5: Leave him alone.
- 28:54Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, it's fine getting the steps in.
- 29:00Speaker 2: That's it's a m It's one that I think worth
- 29:03Speaker 2: In the text line in the chat two two five
- 29:05Speaker 2: four five, who do we think the most athletic personally,
- 29:10Speaker 2: football field is.
- 29:13Speaker 5: Most athletic position on a football field.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Because, like to your point, every quarterback I know can
- 29:19Speaker 2: play ping pong, can play golf, a lot of them
- 29:22Speaker 2: can shoot a basketball. And I'm not giving y'all the
- 29:23Speaker 2: most athletic out.
- 29:24Speaker 7: There, true I mean true athlete can do it all.
- 29:30Speaker 7: That's kind of why, like the basketball comparison thing is
- 29:33Speaker 7: because they can run, jump, and shoot, which shooting has
- 29:36Speaker 7: all that coordination, coordinator and eye.
- 29:41Speaker 8: If we're just talking football, though, I think it's the
- 29:43Speaker 8: tight end, going back to the original. Like you're especially
- 29:47Speaker 8: this day and age, because you're fast enough to line
- 29:49Speaker 8: up out wide to be a receiver. You come in
- 29:51Speaker 8: into line on the edge of the line. You could
- 29:53Speaker 8: run a route from there. Sometimes you gotta block the
- 29:55Speaker 8: damn edge rusher, which those guys are freaking athletes. You
- 29:58Speaker 8: motion into the backfield sometime you're a fullback, you're a
- 30:01Speaker 8: lead blocker, run a power like those guys. Do a
- 30:03Speaker 8: little bit of everything, and you gotta have good hands.
- 30:05Speaker 8: Like I just I think the tight ends this day
- 30:08Speaker 8: and age do pretty much everything.
- 30:11Speaker 7: There's outliers, certainly, there's there's corners, but there's corners with
- 30:15Speaker 7: great hand eye, like great ball skills. There's running backs
- 30:18Speaker 7: like Bjeon and like that. There's some you can pick
- 30:21Speaker 7: out the best athletes in the NFL, right.
- 30:23Speaker 8: And I'm talking about the teams that run like this
- 30:25Speaker 8: is our blocking tight end, this is our receiver. No,
- 30:27Speaker 8: I want one guy in there that's like, yeah, George
- 30:30Speaker 8: Kittle like that. That guy's an athlete.
- 30:32Speaker 7: I would say receiver to me specifically, like the really
- 30:36Speaker 7: big slot receiver. Those, to me are always really good athletes.
- 30:42Speaker 7: I mean, everybody's a really good athlete, but those are
- 30:45Speaker 7: slot receiver.
- 30:46Speaker 6: I'm gonna go with that one.
- 30:48Speaker 5: I actually love this debate.
- 30:50Speaker 2: I actually think Taylor's onto something too, like George Kittle's guys.
- 30:56Speaker 5: A mauler on the line. Yeah, run every route has
- 30:58Speaker 5: great hands.
- 31:00Speaker 2: It might be on something. I mean, it's all we
- 31:03Speaker 2: all know. It's Mike all stop. But I love yeah.
- 31:05Speaker 6: I mean current players, current players for sure.
- 31:10Speaker 2: All Right, we'll take a break more O t B
- 31:12Speaker 2: when we come back here live from the Raisin Kines studio, Off.

- 32:17Speaker 7: All right, we're trying we kept the discussion going at
- 32:19Speaker 7: break there about like what makes a good athlete? In
- 32:22Speaker 7: your mind? What is you know, what's the definition of
- 32:26Speaker 7: a good athlete? Is it somebody that's really fast? Is
- 32:30Speaker 7: it somebody that's got good hand eye coordination?
- 32:32Speaker 1: Like?
- 32:32Speaker 7: What is your definition? So we're trying to like find
- 32:35Speaker 7: two extremes of what we're talking about and the best
- 32:38Speaker 7: way to pose the question and through this out there
- 32:41Speaker 7: we can massage it on here. But we're gonna make
- 32:42Speaker 7: it will We come up with a little bit of
- 32:44Speaker 7: poll question, right, Hey, what do you consider what is
- 32:49Speaker 7: more athletic to you? An Olympic sprinter? Yep, So let's
- 32:54Speaker 7: just go one hundred meters the Olympic sprinter or a
- 32:58Speaker 7: professional top tier NHL goalie, completely opposite things. Goalie doesn't
- 33:05Speaker 7: have to move a lot, but hand eye coordination has
- 33:07Speaker 7: to be flexible, reflexes have to be on well. Of course,
- 33:10Speaker 7: an Olympic sprinter has to run incredibly fast. So that
- 33:17Speaker 7: was what I posed to y'all as our question. How
- 33:20Speaker 7: do we feel about it? Is that kind of like
- 33:23Speaker 7: define what we're trying to get at here, what we're
- 33:26Speaker 7: talking about, because there's a bunch of different types of athletes.
- 33:29Speaker 7: Somebody that has really fast reflexes can pick up any
- 33:33Speaker 7: club paddle ball and pick it up really fast and
- 33:39Speaker 7: be effective at it, but maybe not the fastest runner
- 33:42Speaker 7: or just to come on this really fast and it
- 33:44Speaker 7: doesn't have like the hand eye coordination.
- 33:46Speaker 8: So far, the pole disagrees with me. I'm going hockey goalie.
- 33:50Speaker 8: I think having reflexes like that is incredible, Like could
- 33:54Speaker 8: I train to be an Olympic sprinter?
- 33:56Speaker 1: No?
- 33:56Speaker 8: But I mean, you know what I mean, Like, if
- 33:57Speaker 8: you're fast, you can train and all that. I think
- 34:00Speaker 8: having a hot I think being a hockey goalie there's
- 34:02Speaker 8: some natural ability there as well. Like you just theo's reflexes.
- 34:05Speaker 8: You either got it or you don't.
- 34:06Speaker 5: They're incredibly athletic.
- 34:08Speaker 8: Yeah, I think a hockey goalie is more athletic.
- 34:10Speaker 7: We thought about doing the like a hockey player, but
- 34:12Speaker 7: I think that one hockey that's the winner.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Though.
- 34:16Speaker 3: You can train, but I don't think you can train
- 34:18Speaker 3: to like Olympic level, right.
- 34:20Speaker 6: Oh for a track yeah, oh yeah, I mean you
- 34:22Speaker 6: gotta be special for sure.
- 34:26Speaker 3: I think for me what I said in the break
- 34:28Speaker 3: is the better.
- 34:30Speaker 9: Example is like a tennis player, like because you have
- 34:34Speaker 9: to have the explosiveness of as a sprinter and also
- 34:39Speaker 9: coordinate like Serena Williams is an athletic freak.
- 34:44Speaker 8: Good matchup would be hockey player outside of goalie tennis player,
- 34:48Speaker 8: Like both of them do a little bit of everything.
- 34:54Speaker 2: It's it's it's one of those conversations and I might
- 34:57Speaker 2: even I'm not even sticking up for football players, like
- 35:00Speaker 2: I'm just talking about it. It's it's incredibly tough to
- 35:04Speaker 2: kind of figure out who's like is there a right
- 35:07Speaker 2: and is there wrong right? Because like what do they
- 35:09Speaker 2: always say is the hardest thing to do in sports?
- 35:13Speaker 8: I your quarterback all the time.
- 35:14Speaker 5: Okay, I hear that. Okay, I also hear hitting.
- 35:17Speaker 8: Hitting a baseball.
- 35:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean.
- 35:23Speaker 3: It's scientifically proven that hitting a softball is harder.
- 35:25Speaker 2: I saw a ten year NFL veteran receiver have forty
- 35:29Speaker 2: swings at a ninety five an hour hour pitching machine
- 35:33Speaker 2: and not touch a ball.
- 35:35Speaker 7: Yep, and multi and multiple pro bowler players strike out
- 35:42Speaker 7: and slope pitch of softball.
- 35:43Speaker 9: Yes, I do think that baseball is like underrated in
- 35:47Speaker 9: this conversation because I think that's.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Another one where you have to have all of it.
- 35:51Speaker 9: Like you don't have to be fast, but it helps
- 35:54Speaker 9: a lot for you to be fast, but you do
- 35:55Speaker 9: have to have like the fast twitch like fast reaction
- 35:58Speaker 9: to if a hard hit ground ball gets hit at you.
- 36:02Speaker 9: That's like a really fast reaction that you have to have,
- 36:04Speaker 9: especially if you play something.
- 36:05Speaker 3: Like third base or shortstop.
- 36:07Speaker 5: For sure, like the play shortstop in center right, like
- 36:11Speaker 5: Trey Turner, I just first on went putting.
- 36:13Speaker 2: My man, He's not going out there and running a
- 36:15Speaker 2: bang eight and catching it over the middle. So it's
- 36:18Speaker 2: like you could have the argument, like, I think hitting
- 36:20Speaker 2: a baseball, I personally think that might be, outside of
- 36:23Speaker 2: playing quarterback, the hardest thing to do, But like, what
- 36:28Speaker 2: else could they do.
- 36:29Speaker 8: Well in pair of that pair of the hitting the baseball?
- 36:32Speaker 8: With everything Laandra just said about your reaction time in
- 36:34Speaker 8: the field, you gotta do both.
- 36:35Speaker 6: You do, Yeah, you do.
- 36:37Speaker 2: You gotta be quick, I still think and not no
- 36:39Speaker 2: credit to this dude is next to me playing quarterback.
- 36:43Speaker 2: The pressure that comes with playing quarterback in the NFL,
- 36:45Speaker 2: the expectation that comes with playing quarterback, having to know
- 36:48Speaker 2: what every body else, not just on offense, you got
- 36:52Speaker 2: to know what those team guys are doing. You got
- 36:54Speaker 2: to know what the eleven on defense are doing as well,
- 36:57Speaker 2: and you have about, what would you say, four seconds
- 36:59Speaker 2: to decide for that. As you walk to the line
- 37:01Speaker 2: of scrimmage and you're gonna have a running back, Hey
- 37:04Speaker 2: what do I got? And you're like, hey, you got
- 37:05Speaker 2: fifty six to thirty seven and you got an M
- 37:07Speaker 2: route and you're still trying to think about what the
- 37:10Speaker 2: coverage is, what the disguise is, and oh yeah, there's
- 37:14Speaker 2: at minimum typically for people with bad intentions trying to
- 37:18Speaker 2: come knock you out.
- 37:20Speaker 7: Yep, it's a tough position to play.
- 37:24Speaker 3: I think boxers are freak athletes too.
- 37:26Speaker 6: Let me tell you this.
- 37:27Speaker 7: The hardest sport that I think I can put myself into.
- 37:31Speaker 7: To play water polo, treading water red and water and
- 37:38Speaker 7: having to throw and like having people like wrestling, I
- 37:40Speaker 7: would drown so fast. Probably not the greatest athletes, but
- 37:49Speaker 7: probably really good at I.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Mean, I still think like a hockey player, Like you're
- 37:52Speaker 2: going full speed on skates.
- 37:54Speaker 5: You have to have balance, you have pads on.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Somebody's trying to hit you as well, and you have
- 37:58Speaker 2: to have a puck on your stick, and you have
- 38:01Speaker 2: to kind of look at the goal.
- 38:03Speaker 5: You can't look down at the plugets Yep.
- 38:07Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, if you don't think they're athletic, pair
- 38:10Speaker 7: of skates your nearest galleria.
- 38:13Speaker 5: Yeah it goes for.
- 38:14Speaker 6: Yeah, see how that goes for? You go skate at
- 38:16Speaker 6: that bottom floor of that mall.
- 38:20Speaker 8: Yeah, Hockey's plus you gotta worry about geting slammed up
- 38:22Speaker 8: against the glass every time you're skating down the ice.
- 38:25Speaker 8: With all that.
- 38:28Speaker 6: Oh yeah, let's just just fight.
- 38:31Speaker 8: Yeah, you gotta learn how to fight.
- 38:33Speaker 6: Ye, do it all? It be one tough.
- 38:36Speaker 3: Ombre as a third basements have it?
- 38:45Speaker 5: Yeah, third basement stuff.
- 38:47Speaker 9: They don't call it the hot corner for nothing, But
- 38:51Speaker 9: that's that's.
- 38:52Speaker 6: That's another reason to the argument.
- 38:53Speaker 5: I might finally answer this, I might say a hockey player.
- 38:57Speaker 7: Yeah, so your last is kind of the argument too.
- 39:02Speaker 7: On the baseball field, who's a better athlete third base
- 39:04Speaker 7: or center field? Center Field usually faster? Yeah, third base
- 39:07Speaker 7: has to have faster reflex, right, which which one is
- 39:10Speaker 7: the better athlete?
- 39:11Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 39:13Speaker 3: Super fun shortstop because they have to have both first.
- 39:16Speaker 2: I've always thinks are the best too, though, we get it, Bro,
- 39:19Speaker 2: you got a cool eyeblin.
- 39:20Speaker 3: I'm biased get third base.
- 39:24Speaker 5: I mean what about catcher anyways?
- 39:27Speaker 3: All right, you're squatting the whole time. Well, they don't
- 39:29Speaker 3: really squat much anymore.
- 39:30Speaker 6: But soccer goaliees. I think soccer goalies are athletic.
- 39:39Speaker 5: Did you just say something nice about soccer?
- 39:40Speaker 6: Only people that don't think injuries?
- 39:42Speaker 5: WHOA? All right?
