- 0:01Speaker 1: All right, we're already going to Rippin' and Roarin'. This
- 0:13Speaker 1: is week seven of the podcast of.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Actually, I'm going to be doing Plano now. So this
- 0:18Speaker 2: is Plano's podcast. Welcome to Mic Drop Plano. Me and
- 0:23Speaker 2: the guest right now, Trix, have just been talking and
- 0:25Speaker 2: going off. So we're just going to continue what we
- 0:27Speaker 2: were saying. Uh, everyone here, here, it tricks your, your, your,
- 0:31Speaker 2: your first.
- 0:31Speaker 3: And foremost, shout out to you for the intro music. Yeah.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I like it smooth. I found it on, uh, on,
- 0:39Speaker 2: it's like one of those copy, a copy for you music, uh,
- 0:43Speaker 2: off YouTube. And I was like, dude, I fucking like this.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Pretty, pretty, um, pretty good choice of music there, bro.
- 0:50Speaker 2: And you're, you're music, uh, uh, uh, enthusiast too, man.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Oh yeah. I used to be, you know, I used
- 0:55Speaker 3: to be a DJ. So, I'm a big 80s. I
- 1:00Speaker 3: love 80s, love 90s. Yeah, my playlist is a very
- 1:06Speaker 3: unique playlist. There's music in there from artists that I
- 1:11Speaker 3: don't even know. Because I'm a sounds guy, right? Once
- 1:15Speaker 3: I hear a sound or a good vibe, then I'll
- 1:19Speaker 3: just download your music immediately. I don't need to know
- 1:24Speaker 3: nothing about it. I'll go down the wormhole. of what
- 1:27Speaker 3: you've done later, but I, my playlist is loaded with
- 1:32Speaker 3: artists that I don't even know, dude. Yeah.
- 1:34Speaker 2: That's fucking dope. And just like, and then, and then they, uh,
- 1:37Speaker 2: like I had a, I had a buddy who would do,
- 1:39Speaker 2: who would make like, uh, he would make CDs just like,
- 1:42Speaker 2: you know, he burned as soon as Napster came and
- 1:44Speaker 2: all that stuff. And like, but, uh, he would make CDs.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I haven't heard that in a while. For real.
- 1:50Speaker 2: He, uh, And he would make the dopest mixed CD mixtapes.
- 1:57Speaker 2: And they were just so eclectic of just like, I
- 2:02Speaker 2: don't even know either. I still have some of them on,
- 2:05Speaker 2: because you know after a while you can transfer it
- 2:06Speaker 2: to iTunes. And I still have some of those playlists.
- 2:10Speaker 2: They don't have any titles, because I don't know the
- 2:12Speaker 2: names of these songs, but they were just such a
- 2:14Speaker 2: good sound. So I totally agree with what you said
- 2:16Speaker 2: about a sounds guy. I didn't even think about that.
- 2:19Speaker 2: I've discovered so much dope. I'm plugging my phone in.
- 2:26Speaker 2: I've discovered, like, I'm a big Jamiroquai fan. Oh, okay, yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Big Jamiroquai fan. But, you know, he was one of
- 2:34Speaker 3: those artists that I discovered, like, randomly, you know, because
- 2:37Speaker 3: I was at a friend's house. And he's playing Jamiroquai
- 2:41Speaker 3: in the background. I'm like, who's this black woman? This
- 2:43Speaker 3: black woman sounds amazing. And he's like, I'm going to
- 2:47Speaker 3: blow your mind right now. Not only is this not
- 2:50Speaker 3: a black woman, this is a white British man. And
- 2:54Speaker 3: I'm like, no, it's not. Bro, when you showed me what, like, JK,
- 2:59Speaker 3: who's the lead singer of Jamiroquai, looks like, I was like,
- 3:01Speaker 3: you have got to be kidding me, bro. Because that's
- 3:04Speaker 3: the same way I felt when you showed me who
- 3:06Speaker 3: Rick Astley was when I first, you know what I mean? Like,
- 3:09Speaker 3: when I heard Never Gonna Give You Up, and then
- 3:11Speaker 3: you showed me who was singing it, I was like.
- 3:16Speaker 3: You're like, no, no. No way, bro.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Or even UB40, or even....
- 3:23Speaker 3: You know what? It's crazy because I was a kid
- 3:26Speaker 3: when I, you know, obviously my dad used to play UB40.
- 3:30Speaker 3: But UB40 had a sound where I was like, okay,
- 3:32Speaker 3: this is not a Jamaican person doing reggae. I don't
- 3:37Speaker 3: know if it's a white person, but it doesn't, I
- 3:39Speaker 3: know it's not a Jamaican person. So when the reveal
- 3:43Speaker 3: of UB40 came about, I was kind of like, okay,
- 3:45Speaker 3: that makes sense.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I get it.
- 3:47Speaker 3: But Jamiroquai and Rick Astley, I was like, okay, this
- 3:52Speaker 3: can't happen anymore.
- 3:53Speaker 2: Kind of like, even also too, like, well, I mean,
- 3:55Speaker 2: the name gave it away, Snow, too. That was another
- 3:57Speaker 2: one that, like, you could definitely tell.
- 3:59Speaker 3: Yeah, but being from Toronto, we know Snow. Oh, yeah.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Darren's a friend. So we just didn't know that he
- 4:10Speaker 3: could do reggae like that. That's funny.
- 4:12Speaker 2: That's interesting.
- 4:13Speaker 3: So, yeah, Snow was a, I could understand for the
- 4:16Speaker 3: rest of the world how Snow was like for the people,
- 4:19Speaker 3: but for us, we were like, Yeah, I just didn't
- 4:22Speaker 3: know Darren could do reggae like that. You know what
- 4:24Speaker 3: I mean? And if you know, like if you see Darren,
- 4:27Speaker 3: he looks like a nerdy white guy, but he's not.
- 4:29Speaker 3: He's a knucklehead and he'll punch your face in. But he's,
- 4:33Speaker 3: just when he started doing the reggae, black people, we
- 4:36Speaker 3: love when white guys are good at, you know what
- 4:40Speaker 3: I'm saying? Yeah. Our culture, something that's cultural with us.
- 4:46Speaker 3: So that's how Darren won over a lot of people, bro. Dude. Yeah.
- 4:50Speaker 2: There's this kid on Tik TOK who is a white dude,
- 4:53Speaker 2: this white kid. And he, he goes to this like
- 4:58Speaker 2: Jamaican lady, you know, and he starts to, he starts
- 5:01Speaker 2: to do all the slang and he starts to like
- 5:02Speaker 2: speak like, and, and this lady is so impressed.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Like, is he from Jamaica?
- 5:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:08Speaker 2: He's from Jamaica, but he's like, but he talks like
- 5:10Speaker 2: he's regular, but then all of a sudden, like he'll
- 5:13Speaker 2: just switch it up and just go deep into it.
- 5:15Speaker 2: I got to send you this clip, but he like,
- 5:16Speaker 2: he fucking kills it. And she's, the mom is impressed,
- 5:19Speaker 2: you know? Interesting.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 2: And he goes, he starts talking about, like, going down
- 5:24Speaker 2: to the store and getting certain items and objects and
- 5:27Speaker 2: stuff like that. And then they were just like, oh, my. Oh, wow.
- 5:29Speaker 3: They were like, yeah. I feel like I know the
- 5:33Speaker 3: white guy, too.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Oh, that's so funny.
- 5:35Speaker 3: There's a white influencer who is from Ghana. So he has, like,
- 5:43Speaker 3: the accent that I do when I make a point
- 5:46Speaker 3: of my dad. He has the same accent. He's a
- 5:50Speaker 3: white kid. And when he speaks, it throws you off
- 5:55Speaker 3: because it's so precise because he's from Ghana. He was
- 5:59Speaker 3: born and raised there. I guess the white family was
- 6:02Speaker 3: there and he was just born and raised there. So
- 6:04Speaker 3: he knows all our lingo, bro. He could actually speak
- 6:08Speaker 3: it better than me. It's unreal. And I'm just kind
- 6:11Speaker 3: of like... Fuck.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that's crazy. Oh, we were saying, too, before this,
- 6:19Speaker 2: we were talking about, you know, comics getting with girls
- 6:24Speaker 2: and then, like, basically moving to the girls' city and state.
- 6:29Speaker 3: I've lost quite a few friends that are like, yeah,
- 6:34Speaker 3: I'm moving to some buttfuck city.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Wisconsin.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm moving to Ohio. And I'm like, why? Why?
- 6:42Speaker 3: I met a girl and I'm like okay we don't
- 6:45Speaker 3: have to continue this story.
- 6:46Speaker 2: They always move somewhere cold too like fucking really cold I'm.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Like that girl must be a hell of a girl
- 6:51Speaker 3: bro because I'm telling you right now if I ever
- 6:54Speaker 3: come to you Carlos and I'm like yeah man I'm
- 6:57Speaker 3: leaving nice warm busy fun Vegas for Twin Falls Idaho
- 7:04Speaker 3: if you hear me say that it's a hell of
- 7:07Speaker 3: a chick bro hell of a chick.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Yeah, no, like you said, I got lucky, though, too, man, because, like,
- 7:14Speaker 2: my wife, she moved here. I was like, yeah, I
- 7:16Speaker 2: was like, I'm not, I can't go back there.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Carlos' wife's a cheat code. I'm letting everybody who's watching
- 7:21Speaker 3: this know. Carlos locked, I'm going to say locked out because,
- 7:25Speaker 3: you know, we don't get to dictate sometimes who we
- 7:28Speaker 3: fall in love with. But when I say this guy struggled,
- 7:31Speaker 3: not only is your wife a gamer.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Who we all look for.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 7:37Speaker 3: And she's good at video games, and she plays, like,
- 7:40Speaker 3: she's not a gamer, like, oh, I want to play
- 7:41Speaker 3: Nintendo Wii. No, she plays the big games.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Yeah. Today is actually, you know, what's funny is after
- 7:47Speaker 2: I'm done with this podcast, that's what we already planned,
- 7:49Speaker 2: that we're doing about a six-hour just hangout, and we're
- 7:52Speaker 2: going to game.
- 7:53Speaker 3: You better get into Ark Raiders, my friend.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Dude, I am into Ark Raiders. Brother.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Dude. That is a game.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I have every blueprint right now except for the MK safety. Keeper, Augment.
- 8:05Speaker 2: I have everything else.
- 8:06Speaker 3: First of all, I hate you. You're fully more advanced
- 8:10Speaker 3: than I am. I tried playing with Irish J. I
- 8:15Speaker 3: saw him in my lobby. I tried to join his game,
- 8:18Speaker 3: but for some reason, there's a lot of glitches in
- 8:20Speaker 3: the game that I'm sure they're working off the bugs.
- 8:23Speaker 3: So I couldn't talk to him for some reason. My
- 8:25Speaker 3: microphone wasn't working, so he couldn't hear me. So we
- 8:29Speaker 3: never got to play. But yeah, Ark Raiders, anyone who's
- 8:31Speaker 3: watching this, then you love video games. Just put down
- 8:35Speaker 3: the Call of Duty for a second. Yeah. And go
- 8:37Speaker 3: play Ark Raiders. It's like this open world game where
- 8:41Speaker 3: other people can kill you and take your shit. Yeah.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Or you can do the same to people if you
- 8:47Speaker 3: choose to. Some people are friendly. Some people are not.
- 8:51Speaker 3: And the concept of the game is you're up, you know,
- 8:53Speaker 3: Earth is all fucked up and you, you know, you
- 8:55Speaker 3: got to loot and get simple resources to build weapons
- 9:00Speaker 3: and stuff like that. It's a hell of a game.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Dude, we have to connect on it because I'm at
- 9:06Speaker 2: ease on all the PlayStation stuff.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Some of your gamers are back, dude.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's Charlie at ease. But it's like I
- 9:14Speaker 2: shorten it on the thing. Yeah, definitely. I'll send it
- 9:16Speaker 2: to you.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I'll definitely do it with you and your wife. I've
- 9:19Speaker 3: got to play.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Yeah, well, because also, too, I have a ton of
- 9:22Speaker 2: double blueprints that I don't need. And I'm talking like
- 9:25Speaker 2: hard things to get, like the equalizer. Yeah, I got
- 9:28Speaker 2: real into it, man. I put at least 300. 350
- 9:34Speaker 2: hours in um oh wow.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Okay yeah you're yeah i'm definitely gonna holler at you
- 9:38Speaker 3: you might have some stuff that i.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Need yeah and i i um i'm really i was
- 9:43Speaker 2: i'm really i just got done i was that's what
- 9:44Speaker 2: i was doing before this i was like yo i
- 9:46Speaker 2: gotta do the trials because i fuck with the trials
- 9:48Speaker 2: i don't know if you do those.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Oh you um right now i've messed with the progress
- 9:53Speaker 3: is obviously the missions yeah all the traders that have
- 9:56Speaker 3: missions for you and then I'm doing the progress stuff.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I don't know if I've done any of the trials,
- 10:01Speaker 3: but I've done all the miscellaneous stuff, too, like the
- 10:04Speaker 3: stuff that you need to kill 10 wasps or stuff
- 10:09Speaker 3: like that. I do those randomly. Absolutely. And now there's
- 10:12Speaker 3: new arcs. I don't know if you've seen the new update,
- 10:14Speaker 3: but now there's new arcs. Oh, yeah. As if the
- 10:18Speaker 3: old ones weren't enough.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Dude, it's so funny. We're geeking out right now on this,
- 10:22Speaker 2: but it's so much fun. There's a whole... I've been
- 10:25Speaker 2: making clips of my gameplay because it's been so fun
- 10:29Speaker 2: and funny. You've run into some funny people and have
- 10:32Speaker 2: some good... Good times.
- 10:34Speaker 3: It's so cool. Ark Raiders is a reminder that our
- 10:37Speaker 3: world sucks.
- 10:39Speaker 2: That's also true.
- 10:39Speaker 3: And there are some really horrible people. Because if that
- 10:45Speaker 3: was the case for real on Earth, you're getting a glimpse,
- 10:50Speaker 3: not even a glimpse, you're getting a full view of
- 10:54Speaker 3: how people are going to be and how you have
- 10:58Speaker 3: to be really careful because there are some really savage people.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Just some sneak fucks too, man. They'll be your friend
- 11:05Speaker 2: the whole game. When it's time to go back to Speranza,
- 11:10Speaker 2: they'll give you a headshot.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Take your shit.
- 11:13Speaker 2: That's the world we live in. I want to make
- 11:15Speaker 2: a shirt that says Speranza. That shit would be sick.
- 11:20Speaker 2: A black shirt with just the racing stripes of Speranza.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I made it.
- 11:26Speaker 3: It's all you comics out there. If you're not on
- 11:28Speaker 3: our creators, get on our creators, bro.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Yeah, my wife likes that, and we also play– we
- 11:33Speaker 2: do play Call of Duty. And, oh, Little Nightmares. I
- 11:37Speaker 2: used to play that, and they got a new– it's
- 11:42Speaker 2: like this– dude, the art of the game is dope.
- 11:46Speaker 2: It's almost like a nightmare, of course, because Little Nightmares.
- 11:48Speaker 2: But there's part one, part two, and a part three.
- 11:51Speaker 2: I guess the whole creative team left, and so part
- 11:54Speaker 2: three is like not as good as the first two.
- 11:57Speaker 2: But they started this new one that just came out,
- 11:59Speaker 2: and it's called Re-Animal, and you can play it co-op.
- 12:02Speaker 2: And it's dope as fuck. Yeah, it's good, dude. If
- 12:05Speaker 2: you get it, it's only like $ 40. It's really cheap.
- 12:08Speaker 3: But I have to look into it.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Dude, definitely pick it up or buy it. I'll give
- 12:14Speaker 2: you your $ 40 back if you don't like it.
- 12:16Speaker 3: I'm getting a Carlos Rodriguez guarantee?
- 12:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Sick.
- 12:21Speaker 2: It's fun. It's a puzzle game. It's like, you remember
- 12:23Speaker 2: that one that used to, I don't know if, it's
- 12:25Speaker 2: an old game where it was called, what the fuck
- 12:28Speaker 2: was it called? It was like a little shadow kid.
- 12:30Speaker 2: It was a little boy and he was like, it
- 12:32Speaker 2: was all black. It was only a black and white game.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I think Limbo. Was it called Limbo?
- 12:35Speaker 3: Oh, wow. Okay.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Some shit like that. But anyways, the art direction is
- 12:39Speaker 2: dope and you'd like it. You'd be into that.
- 12:41Speaker 3: Okay. But yeah.
- 12:43Speaker 2: All right. Well, so the thing about this podcast is
- 12:48Speaker 2: we also have a trivia for you. And basically you're
- 12:51Speaker 2: going up against all the other comics in the other
- 12:54Speaker 2: comedy clubs on this week. So it's.
- 12:56Speaker 3: Oh, wow. OK, so who am I up against? Do
- 13:00Speaker 3: I know any of them?
- 13:01Speaker 2: It's Battle of the Battle of the King of the Week.
- 13:04Speaker 2: So I'm trying to think for week six in in
- 13:07Speaker 2: San Diego, you're going to be battling Lucy Love. I
- 13:10Speaker 2: don't know if you met her. And I think I
- 13:13Speaker 2: want to say maybe Shang.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Oh, wow. Shout out to my boy, Shang, dude.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Shout out to Shang, man. Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 2: So we're going to do these questions. Let me put
- 13:26Speaker 2: the scoreboard up, get you all set up.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Coming to Plano. I've never done the Plano room, actually. Oh, yeah.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Since it's become Mic Drop. I was keeping it when
- 13:37Speaker 3: it was the other club. But now that it is
- 13:44Speaker 3: Mic Drop, I've never done it. So I'm looking forward
- 13:46Speaker 3: to it.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 13:47Speaker 3: I love Texas, bro. Dude, me too.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Me too, I do. I was in Dallas recently doing hyenas.
- 13:54Speaker 2: And it's really, I really like it. It's fucking nice.
- 13:57Speaker 2: It's fucking nice.
- 13:58Speaker 3: You know what? People say Plano's bougie, but my Plano's cool, man. Yeah.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Plano's cool.
- 14:05Speaker 2: It's funny because I took, so it was me and
- 14:08Speaker 2: Christina Mariani and Heather Keith. We were doing hyenas.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Shout out to Heather Keith.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. She's dope. And it was funny because she–
- 14:19Speaker 2: I was like, we should go check out where JFK
- 14:22Speaker 2: got assassinated. Have you ever been to the plaza?
- 14:25Speaker 3: Is that there?
- 14:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Daily Plaza is in Dallas, yeah. So we went
- 14:29Speaker 2: down there, and it's funny because I'm like a conspiracy theorist,
- 14:31Speaker 2: and I was like, this is where they say he
- 14:33Speaker 2: got shot or this is where it says.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Bro, I was in Memphis. Please don't come for me, people. Okay.
- 14:41Speaker 3: I did not know that was where Martin Luther King
- 14:43Speaker 3: got shot, got killed. The motel there?
- 14:47Speaker 2: The motel, yeah, yeah.
- 14:48Speaker 3: We stumbled by it. No way. Just walking back from breakfast.
- 14:53Speaker 3: And I'm like, why does this place look familiar? But
- 14:54Speaker 3: the way they did it, they turned it into a
- 14:56Speaker 3: civil rights museum, but they left the museum as is.
- 15:00Speaker 3: And then even the two cars that were parked are
- 15:03Speaker 3: still there. What?
- 15:05Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 15:06Speaker 3: So it looks like you're there.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Still in the time.
- 15:10Speaker 3: It's unreal. Unreal. And you could go in the room. Really?
- 15:15Speaker 3: Then he got killed. They turned the motel into a museum.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 3: And then Brandon, was it Brandon Vessel? Shout out to
- 15:23Speaker 3: Brandon Vessel.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Brandon Vessel is fucking hilarious.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Oh my God. His joke about like, he went to
- 15:28Speaker 3: the civil rights museum and spent all day apologizing. So good, man.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Dude, Brandon Vessel is one. It's so funny because he's
- 15:38Speaker 2: that comic. I remember we were talking about it one
- 15:39Speaker 2: time too. He goes, He's like, yeah. He goes, every
- 15:41Speaker 2: time I'm somewhere, you just left. Or every time I'm
- 15:45Speaker 2: going somewhere, you're about to get there. And I go, yeah, dude, same.
- 15:47Speaker 2: And I go, I always big up Brendan Vessel. He's fucking,
- 15:51Speaker 2: he's a good dude.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I just worked with him at the new Laugh Factory
- 15:54Speaker 3: in Vegas. Oh, yeah. He's dope. He's such a cool cat.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Did they have the background yet?
- 16:01Speaker 3: When I did it, no. But when I did it,
- 16:05Speaker 3: I was told it was coming like the next week. Oh, okay.
- 16:08Speaker 2: It's always... That's the story.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Of my life.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Last week, man, was cracking.
- 16:12Speaker 3: I like the room. I like the room.
- 16:14Speaker 2: No, the room's great.
- 16:15Speaker 3: It's fine. Yeah, the room's great.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Good vibe, good feel. No, I'm just saying, like, every
- 16:18Speaker 2: time I do a show or do a gig, it's
- 16:20Speaker 2: always like, man, you should have been here last week.
- 16:21Speaker 2: It was fucking crazy. Or next week, we got it.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Next week, the soda machine will get here. And it's like, fuck, man.
- 16:28Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Really?
- 16:30Speaker 3: So I got to wait a year now to experience
- 16:32Speaker 3: the full perks of the club? The full Monty? Yeah.
- 16:36Speaker 2: But no... So, what was I saying?
- 16:39Speaker 3: You were talking about when you went to JFK.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, no, I'm just a conspiracy theorist. And I
- 16:44Speaker 2: was like, man, it was just... But you can go
- 16:47Speaker 2: up to the book depository to where he shot out of.
- 16:50Speaker 2: I did it before, but they didn't want to go
- 16:51Speaker 2: up there and... But it's a shot that you're like, oh,
- 16:54Speaker 2: I can make this. You're hilarious.
- 16:58Speaker 3: You're hilarious. You went there not to look at history
- 17:04Speaker 3: but to see your sniper rifle skills?
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah, to see my tech. I've been playing a lot
- 17:10Speaker 2: of Ark Raiders, so I'm pretty good. I'm pretty good
- 17:13Speaker 2: with the scope.
- 17:14Speaker 3: That's the problem with Ark Raiders, man. See how you're thinking? Yeah.
- 17:18Speaker 2: And then I took them to where behind the grassy knoll,
- 17:21Speaker 2: I go, this is where they say the other shooter
- 17:22Speaker 2: was at. And then they were like, oh, really? I go, yeah.
- 17:25Speaker 2: And then, you know, just, you know, I'm a big
- 17:27Speaker 2: history buff. So it was interesting. And, you know, I
- 17:29Speaker 2: do like Dallas. They got tons of good food. And
- 17:31Speaker 2: it's just like.
- 17:32Speaker 3: Oh, my God. The barbecue, dude. Barbecue is Texas barbecue
- 17:36Speaker 3: is by far. You're not going to go wrong. And
- 17:40Speaker 3: I've been fortunate enough to make friends with some people
- 17:42Speaker 3: that have told me like where to go. And you'll
- 17:45Speaker 3: get that one comment that's like, okay, if you want
- 17:47Speaker 3: good barbecue, you got to go to the hood. Is
- 17:51Speaker 3: that right? And then you go to just like, I
- 17:54Speaker 3: remember someone took me to like, it would almost, it
- 17:57Speaker 3: almost looked like country. It was away from the city.
- 18:00Speaker 3: And it was, it was hood. It was like some
- 18:04Speaker 3: black dude with a smoker. Yeah. thugs, a dude with do-rags.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I was like, where did you take me? It was
- 18:14Speaker 3: the best barbecue, bro. Was it?
- 18:16Speaker 2: It was.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Seasoned.
- 18:20Speaker 3: I'm like, okay, we got culinary chefs who happen to
- 18:23Speaker 3: be thugs, which is awesome. Dude, the ribs, sausage links.
- 18:30Speaker 3: I mean, they were. It was unreal, dude. And I
- 18:34Speaker 3: was like... Put it on those Dixie plates.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I was going to say. The Dixie plates. Yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 2: that had the little sections. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's how
- 18:43Speaker 2: you know.
- 18:44Speaker 3: Looked super ghetto, but probably the best barbecue you've ever
- 18:47Speaker 3: had in your life.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Dude, there was this DVD way back in the day.
- 18:51Speaker 2: It was called Hood to Hood. And it was just
- 18:54Speaker 2: this camera crew of fools, and they just kept going
- 18:56Speaker 2: from hood to hood. And they landed in, I want
- 19:00Speaker 2: to say it was Memphis. or something like that, but
- 19:03Speaker 2: they did. They went to the projects and got himself
- 19:05Speaker 2: a plate of, and I was on Dixie, like a
- 19:07Speaker 2: Dixie plate for plate. They go, let me see, let
- 19:09Speaker 2: me see. He took the foil back, and it had steam,
- 19:12Speaker 2: and it just looked hella good. He was like, mm-hmm, mm-hmm.
- 19:14Speaker 3: That's how you do it, bro. That's how you do it, bro.
- 19:17Speaker 3: I was like, I'm not, trust me, I'm ignorant. I
- 19:23Speaker 3: don't pick the hood to go to when I go
- 19:26Speaker 3: to these cities first. So if I'm going for barbecue,
- 19:30Speaker 3: you know that I love my barbecue. I'm willing to
- 19:32Speaker 3: put my life at risk. Yeah. Because some of these
- 19:35Speaker 3: places are scary, sketchy looking by culinary geniuses.
- 19:43Speaker 2: They stick with it with the seasonings.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Amen.
- 19:46Speaker 2: It's a season of the sickness. Yeah.
- 19:48Speaker 3: I don't mess.
- 19:50Speaker 2: So here we go so all right so the uh
- 19:52Speaker 2: the the questions are um they're gonna be random they're
- 19:54Speaker 2: all over the place uh their history sports fucking entertainment
- 19:58Speaker 2: yada yada yats is there anything to do with comedy
- 20:01Speaker 2: um yeah actually some of them are there's i have
- 20:03Speaker 2: one in here there's a comic one right now um
- 20:05Speaker 2: okay okay so number one uh The Liberty Bell is
- 20:09Speaker 2: located where?
- 20:11Speaker 3: In Philadelphia. Boom.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Fuck yeah. One of those things that I would definitely
- 20:15Speaker 2: go check. Oh, I did check it out, actually.
- 20:17Speaker 3: That's pretty good for a Canadian, because.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I'm... Yeah.
- 20:21Speaker 3: I think I learned that on an episode of Fresh
- 20:23Speaker 3: Prince of Bel-Air.
- 20:24Speaker 2: That's hilarious. That's so funny.
- 20:27Speaker 3: I'll take the win.
- 20:28Speaker 2: You performed in Philly, though?
- 20:30Speaker 3: I just did Philly, yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, okay. That's what I was going to say.
- 20:33Speaker 2: I was like, that sounds like.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Saw the Rocky statue and everything.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Oh, dope, dope, dope. What was it? What was those
- 20:44Speaker 2: dudes did? They did a prank on the Rocky thing.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Did they put like a pumpkin on the head or something?
- 20:48Speaker 2: They made, they did like this whole operation. Yeah, they
- 20:53Speaker 2: put up this whole operation and they like even documented
- 20:57Speaker 2: on how they made the head of the pumpkin big enough.
- 21:00Speaker 2: I don't know if it was a pumpkin though. I
- 21:01Speaker 2: can't remember what it was, but they had it. They
- 21:03Speaker 2: had like, Do a stealth and get up there and climb.
- 21:07Speaker 2: It's harder than we thought, guys. You're brave. Oh, you
- 21:10Speaker 2: guys are brave.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Oh, no. I ain't messing with Rocky. Hell no.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Okay, so here's the entertainment. Here's kind of a deep
- 21:17Speaker 2: cut movie entertainment. Saving Private Ryan lost Best Picture Oscar
- 21:22Speaker 2: to what movie?
- 21:25Speaker 3: Say that again?
- 21:26Speaker 2: Saving Private Ryan, they lost the Best Picture Oscar to
- 21:30Speaker 2: what movie? Because, I mean, I... Actually, this is a
- 21:34Speaker 2: personal question because, like, I only know this guy.
- 21:36Speaker 3: Eric and Beauty?
- 21:37Speaker 2: No, no, no. They lost to Shakespeare in Love.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Really?
- 21:42Speaker 2: Yeah. It's such a fucking travesty.
- 21:44Speaker 3: You know? I just took a guess because I don't
- 21:46Speaker 3: really watch the Oscars like that. So, unless black movies
- 21:50Speaker 3: are nominated, am I an asser? Like, I'm watching this
- 21:53Speaker 3: year because I'm, like, rooting for Michael B. Jordan and
- 21:55Speaker 3: I'm rooting for Sinners. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, that's a, wow,
- 21:59Speaker 3: Shakespeare in Love? Okay.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's such an unre-watchable flick to me. But yeah,
- 22:05Speaker 2: Saving Private Ryan is so good, man.
- 22:08Speaker 3: I heard it's good. I never saw it, though.
- 22:10Speaker 2: You've never seen it?
- 22:11Speaker 3: I'm not a horror movie guy.
- 22:13Speaker 2: It holds up.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I'm not a horror movie guy.
- 22:14Speaker 2: It's one of the best. And then I watched 1917
- 22:17Speaker 2: recently again, and I was like, these are really.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Really good. Saving Private Ryan, is that Tom Hanks in there?
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Okay.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Dude, I implore you to watch the first 20 minutes.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Just give it the first 20 minutes and then turn
- 22:33Speaker 2: it off if you can.
- 22:34Speaker 3: I'm re-watching Interstellar right now.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Dude, that's my favorite.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Here's the thing. I watched Interstellar when I was younger
- 22:42Speaker 3: and wasn't really paying attention anymore. Do you understand? Because
- 22:47Speaker 3: it's a really good movie when you know the premise
- 22:49Speaker 3: and you know where the story is. It's a great movie. Actually,
- 22:53Speaker 3: because I think Inception is my favorite Chris Nolan movie.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Oh, that's an awesome movie, too. That's so good.
- 22:59Speaker 3: But Interstellar, after a rewatch and understanding of the movie,
- 23:05Speaker 3: it's up there.
- 23:05Speaker 2: It's fucking great.
- 23:06Speaker 3: It was a great movie.
- 23:08Speaker 2: I'm rebuying all my physical media, and I bought Interstellar,
- 23:11Speaker 2: and I found this like... 10 year gift pack and
- 23:16Speaker 2: I bought it for 100 bucks. I was like, I
- 23:18Speaker 2: need to, my wife bought me a signed script from
- 23:22Speaker 2: Interstellar of Chris Nolan, Michael Caine, Matt Damon. She's awesome.
- 23:26Speaker 2: She's fucking great.
- 23:28Speaker 3: It's so unfair how Carlos has the best wife in
- 23:30Speaker 3: the world.
- 23:30Speaker 2: That's not even the best. The best thing she gave me,
- 23:33Speaker 2: it's not even in here right now. I took it
- 23:34Speaker 2: out because I didn't want to get damaged. She bought
- 23:36Speaker 2: me because she knows I'm a big Call of Day
- 23:39Speaker 2: Tombstone fan. She got me a– because I have that joke, too,
- 23:44Speaker 2: that I talk about him in. And it's a picture
- 23:47Speaker 2: of him, you know, I've got two guns, one for
- 23:49Speaker 2: each of you. And I've got two guns, one for
- 23:52Speaker 2: each of you.
- 23:53Speaker 3: That's a pretty good voice.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's signed.
- 23:55Speaker 3: That's going to be good.
- 23:56Speaker 2: It's signed by him, and it's signed with that quote.
- 23:59Speaker 2: And I was like, that's fucking– I was like, where
- 24:00Speaker 2: did you get this? And she was like, I can't
- 24:02Speaker 2: tell you, but it's da-da-da-da. And I was like, that's awesome.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Okay, sorry people, we're taking long during the trip.
- 24:08Speaker 2: I know, I know. But that's what the questions are
- 24:09Speaker 2: supposed to do. We're supposed to just fucking kick it
- 24:10Speaker 2: and hang out. Because I didn't want the podcast to
- 24:13Speaker 2: always be like just comics on comics talking sometimes. I
- 24:15Speaker 2: was like, all right.
- 24:16Speaker 3: Well, I'm learning. Well, I'm learning shit because I had
- 24:19Speaker 3: no idea. Now you made me, you sold me on
- 24:23Speaker 3: Saving Private Ryan.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 3: I won't watch that. Because I've always read good things.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Just not a war movie guy.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Yeah, just 20 minutes. You're like, whoa. Oh, but real quick,
- 24:32Speaker 2: just one quick anecdote, too. No, to your point, too,
- 24:35Speaker 2: about how good Interstellar is, that I didn't know, too,
- 24:38Speaker 2: that I'd seen something different after I watched it. But
- 24:40Speaker 2: I showed it to my wife and her daughter. And
- 24:44Speaker 2: as I watched it with them, I started realizing, oh,
- 24:47Speaker 2: this is not only about a movie that I got
- 24:49Speaker 2: gravitated towards because of certain things that I did, but
- 24:51Speaker 2: it's a father-daughter movie.
- 24:53Speaker 3: There's a few storylines in there that are pretty... I just,
- 24:57Speaker 3: after re-watching it, I have a different appreciation for it.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Didn't get it. For sure. But the anecdote that I
- 25:02Speaker 2: was going to say is I seen it at the theater,
- 25:04Speaker 2: and it was one of those movies that it just
- 25:06Speaker 2: kept sticking with me, and I kept just thinking about
- 25:07Speaker 2: it more and more. And I was eating at this place.
- 25:11Speaker 2: I was over hanging out in San Francisco, and we're
- 25:13Speaker 2: in the Mission District, and it's this place called Foreign Cinema.
- 25:15Speaker 2: And during the day, it's like this swanky cafe thing.
- 25:19Speaker 2: We got in because someone knew the chef, and I
- 25:21Speaker 2: was like, all right, cool. We're not supposed to be there,
- 25:23Speaker 2: but we were there, that type of shit. And I'm
- 25:27Speaker 2: just talking to my– Emily Van Dyke is a comedian,
- 25:32Speaker 2: and she had her friend that we got through there.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And I was like, yeah, I went and seen Interstellar yesterday.
- 25:36Speaker 2: I was like, it's so good. I was like, I'm
- 25:38Speaker 2: still thinking about things, and how did that work? And
- 25:40Speaker 2: then it started, it's really putting together. And I go,
- 25:42Speaker 2: I'm still thinking about this movie randomly. And I go,
- 25:44Speaker 2: that's how I know the movie's good. And then the
- 25:46Speaker 2: guy goes, you're just saying that, right? You're just saying that.
- 25:48Speaker 2: And I'm like, why would I just be saying that?
- 25:50Speaker 2: He was like, because he's right there. And I go, who?
- 25:53Speaker 3: Who's right where?
- 25:54Speaker 2: And he goes, the director. And I was like, where
- 25:57Speaker 2: the fuck is the director? And he goes, he's sitting...
- 25:59Speaker 2: He's sitting at the table next to us, but I
- 26:02Speaker 2: didn't notice because he had a beard. Because I know
- 26:04Speaker 2: what Christian Nolan looks like. And I was like, oh, shit.
- 26:06Speaker 2: And I look at him, and he looks at me,
- 26:07Speaker 2: and I'm just kind of like, you know, I didn't,
- 26:09Speaker 2: I was like, I'm not, and I just, I just
- 26:11Speaker 2: nodded to him, and he nodded back. And I was like, okay,
- 26:12Speaker 2: I'm not bothering you. And I was like, I'm sorry,
- 26:14Speaker 2: I'll stop talking about it. But I was like, that's
- 26:17Speaker 2: not what I was going to do. But it was it.
- 26:19Speaker 2: I was crazy. That was my little Chris Nolan running moment. But, yeah,
- 26:23Speaker 2: we're going all in.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Okay.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Oh, here's a comic question. Here's number three.
- 26:26Speaker 3: Oh, oh.
- 26:26Speaker 2: What was it? Yeah, question number three. Who was the
- 26:31Speaker 2: first comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden?
- 26:35Speaker 3: Holy fuck. Was it Steve Martin?
- 26:41Speaker 2: No, no, no. I'll give you one.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Go, go.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Try another one. Try another one. First comic to ever
- 26:49Speaker 2: sell it all out. In between. I want to say
- 26:53Speaker 2: they're in between that era. George Carlin. No, Andrew Dice Clay.
- 27:00Speaker 3: He was the first?
- 27:01Speaker 2: He was the first one to sell out.
- 27:03Speaker 3: I know he sold it out, but he was the
- 27:04Speaker 3: first one, really?
- 27:05Speaker 2: The first one, yeah, to ever sell it out. That's
- 27:08Speaker 2: a big claim to fame, yeah. This game.
- 27:14Speaker 3: But I'm learning.
- 27:15Speaker 2: You're learning. That's the great thing about this podcast.
- 27:18Speaker 3: I did not know he was the first to sell out.
- 27:20Speaker 3: That's unreal.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Question number four. Name an NFL team that hasn't
- 27:27Speaker 2: won the Super Bowl. There's like eight, I think.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Carolina Panthers.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Yes, Carolina Panthers is on this list. Boom, you got it.
- 27:39Speaker 2: So there we go. Who are the other seven? I
- 27:43Speaker 2: wonder if there are seven. So it's Detroit Lions, the Bills,
- 27:48Speaker 2: Vikings haven't won, Bengals haven't won, Atlanta Falcons haven't won,
- 27:53Speaker 2: Carolina Panthers haven't won. Browns, Jaguars, Texans, Cardinals, oh shit, Titans,
- 28:02Speaker 2: and Los Angeles Chargers. So that's what 12 teams have won.
- 28:06Speaker 3: Yeah, I could have guessed the Bills too. I could
- 28:10Speaker 3: have guessed the Bills. Detroit Lions is a shocker. I
- 28:13Speaker 3: didn't know that. Wow, okay. That explains the real love
- 28:21Speaker 3: that fan base has given them because they're so close.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Yeah, they're so close, and they're just so far, but
- 28:27Speaker 2: it's like fucking hell. And then we got rid of Crosby.
- 28:30Speaker 3: He's gone now. Bruh. Dude. I know he was a
- 28:34Speaker 3: Raider fan. He was a Raider fan. Must be crying
- 28:36Speaker 3: right now.
- 28:36Speaker 2: I was upset, and then I go, you know what?
- 28:39Speaker 2: I go, he wanted to get out of here, and
- 28:40Speaker 2: he did it.
- 28:40Speaker 3: To the Ravens?
- 28:42Speaker 2: Yep. He did it in a sneak dick way, too,
- 28:44Speaker 2: and that's what I don't like. I don't like that.
- 28:46Speaker 3: They traded him. Didn't they trade him?
- 28:48Speaker 2: They traded him, but from what it looks like, from
- 28:51Speaker 2: what he did as I'm looking at it, he was
- 28:54Speaker 2: playing chess and everyone was playing checkers. I get it.
- 28:56Speaker 2: So he didn't say that he wanted to trade because
- 28:59Speaker 2: he didn't want the fan base to get wrecked. And also, too,
- 29:01Speaker 2: it's good.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Kind of what Giannis is doing in Milwaukee. Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 2: I'll just go to the media and tell them that
- 29:08Speaker 2: they're seeking a trade. And then people will be like, well,
- 29:11Speaker 2: if you're thinking about it, we'd give you this. And
- 29:14Speaker 2: now I'm hearing offers. And it's like, oh, well, that's
- 29:16Speaker 2: what I would get for him? Well, okay, well, I
- 29:19Speaker 2: kind of want this. If I don't get this, then
- 29:21Speaker 2: I won't trade him. So he pushed them in a
- 29:24Speaker 2: sneak dick way to get the talk started. When he
- 29:27Speaker 2: could have just shut it all down and been like, yo,
- 29:29Speaker 2: I'm not trying to get traded. I want to stay here.
- 29:30Speaker 3: He deserves to play for a contender. So I'm not mad.
- 29:34Speaker 2: Some old bitch-ass, pussy-ass shit.
- 29:36Speaker 3: That's the Raider fan. That's the Raider fan in you.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Yeah, but I do like what we got back for him.
- 29:41Speaker 2: I do like that we got two first-round picks, and
- 29:45Speaker 2: we got younger. We got a whole lot younger. Yeah,
- 29:47Speaker 2: we got to be true, man. Yeah, they tried to
- 29:49Speaker 2: extend his health because they shut him down for two
- 29:51Speaker 2: weeks at the end of the season to extend his
- 29:56Speaker 2: NFL career, but with that being said, he also extended
- 29:59Speaker 2: the Raiders NFL, like, you know, because we just got
- 30:03Speaker 2: a whole ton of younger, so much better.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Sidetrack, how do you feel about DJ Moore going to
- 30:08Speaker 3: the Bills, bro?
- 30:09Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, that's something. Well, they needed a receiver. They
- 30:11Speaker 2: needed somebody.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Unreal, right? Yeah. I didn't think the Bears would give
- 30:14Speaker 3: him up after the year they had. Yeah.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Right?
- 30:19Speaker 2: I don't know what's going on over there, but I guess,
- 30:20Speaker 2: what's his name, the guy from, the coach now, he's,
- 30:24Speaker 2: what's his name? Ben Johnson?
- 30:27Speaker 3: Johnson, yeah, yeah. No, no. The Lions coach?
- 30:31Speaker 2: No, he was the Lions OC, right? And then Ben Johnson,
- 30:34Speaker 2: he went to Chicago.
- 30:35Speaker 3: To be there. Ben Johnson is Bears.
- 30:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Dan Campbell is the head coach of Lions.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. No, Ben Johnson used to be the OC
- 30:44Speaker 2: of the Lions.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Now he's Bears. But I was just saying, he's such
- 30:49Speaker 2: a good OC. He's probably like, I can make, kind
- 30:51Speaker 2: of like.
- 30:51Speaker 3: A, He's a great coach. Look what he did in
- 30:53Speaker 3: his first year.
- 30:54Speaker 2: He's like, I can make another one. I can make
- 30:56Speaker 2: another good receiver.
- 30:57Speaker 3: A little sidetrack here. I think Stephon Diggs is having
- 31:01Speaker 3: a horrible week. Horrible 2026, bro. How do you go?
- 31:08Speaker 3: How do you go, bro, from being on the hottest team?
- 31:12Speaker 3: You have one of the hottest girlfriends, right? You're smashing
- 31:16Speaker 3: Cardi B. Yeah. And after one Super Bowl game, it's
- 31:21Speaker 3: just all gone, bro. Gone. Gone.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Lost Super Bowl. Lost Super Bowl. Lost the girl.
- 31:28Speaker 3: After Super Bowl, you lost her.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Might even lose the freedom because all of a sudden
- 31:31Speaker 2: he's going to jail, they said maybe, or some shit.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Jesus, what a turn of events. This poor guy.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Like, why are you living my life? Like, what's going on?
- 31:39Speaker 2: What the fuck's going on?
- 31:40Speaker 3: This guy went from an NFL superstar to a comic.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Like, real quick.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Yes.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Wow.
- 31:47Speaker 2: All right. Question number five. Name two countries that are
- 31:53Speaker 2: involved in the Louisiana Purchase. It's some U.S. history again.
- 31:58Speaker 3: Jesus Christ.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Yeah, sorry about that.
- 31:59Speaker 3: In the Louisiana Purchase? You say two countries?
- 32:02Speaker 2: Yeah, two countries that were involved. The two countries that
- 32:05Speaker 2: were involved for the Louisiana Purchase. We just gave you
- 32:08Speaker 2: one because I said it's U.S. history.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Okay, so it's U.S. history. So, well.
- 32:14Speaker 2: What is the U.S., yeah.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Yeah, America would be one.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Yeah, who they buy Louisiana from, do you know? Because
- 32:22Speaker 2: Louisiana used to be, like, it was a whole territory.
- 32:26Speaker 2: It wasn't just the little state. When they first bought it,
- 32:30Speaker 2: they cut it up. It went all the way up
- 32:31Speaker 2: to Canada. Like, Louisiana was that big.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Well, then I'll guess Canada, because I don't know.
- 32:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but close, though. But it was, like, France. They
- 32:41Speaker 2: bought it from France.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. And I was going to say Europe, but, like,
- 32:44Speaker 3: which country?
- 32:46Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 32:47Speaker 3: And you know what? I'm stupid because you should know
- 32:49Speaker 3: that New Orleans has definitely some French fucking roots in there.
- 32:54Speaker 2: It's the only city that has, yeah, the quarters and
- 32:57Speaker 2: stuff like that and all that. So that's definitely.
- 32:59Speaker 3: You've been to New Orleans? It looks like you're in
- 33:00Speaker 3: old France. Yeah. It has a French feel to it. Mm-hmm.
- 33:04Speaker 2: And that's what they bought, yeah. I'm with you. So, yeah, learning.
- 33:08Speaker 2: We are learning, huh?
- 33:10Speaker 3: Yeah, Canadian kid, bro. Never went to American school, huh?
- 33:12Speaker 3: These are all American questions.
- 33:14Speaker 2: I know. I'm sorry about that.
- 33:15Speaker 3: If it makes you feel better, I would suck at
- 33:17Speaker 3: the Canadian questions, too.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Do as well.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 33:22Speaker 2: Okay, question number six is, what does the RICO Act
- 33:26Speaker 2: stand for?
- 33:28Speaker 3: Isn't that to do with, like, RICO? Isn't that to
- 33:30Speaker 3: do with, like, trafficking and drugs and....
- 33:36Speaker 2: They can use it in those instances because.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Because Diddy's in a RICO case.
- 33:42Speaker 2: That's all I know.
- 33:44Speaker 3: And I've been paying attention to this shit. Yeah, isn't
- 33:49Speaker 3: a RICO... Yeah, isn't like... I don't know. I don't
- 33:54Speaker 3: watch enough Law & Order.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Yeah. It stands for Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Yeah, and I don't have anything to do with any
- 34:04Speaker 3: of that.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. So it's pretty much like when... Sounds like.
- 34:08Speaker 3: A fancy way of saying comedy clubs.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Yeah, almost. You know, like, let's say that we're, like,
- 34:14Speaker 2: me and you are drug dealers, so all we do
- 34:15Speaker 2: is we just pull all of our money together and
- 34:19Speaker 2: go buy more drugs, and we just keep doing that.
- 34:21Speaker 2: So if you get arrested, and I definitely get arrested,
- 34:24Speaker 2: and then On top of that, the thing about the
- 34:26Speaker 2: RICO Act is there's no statute of limitations, by the way.
- 34:29Speaker 3: All those hours watching The Wire, and I gain no knowledge.
- 34:33Speaker 2: I go knowledge to any of that. Yeah.
- 34:37Speaker 3: I suck at this game. I'm down 4-2. This is bad. Oh, yeah.
- 34:40Speaker 3: How many questions are there? Do I get a chance
- 34:42Speaker 3: to finish? There's 10. Okay, so I can kind of
- 34:44Speaker 3: finish 500?
- 34:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because the last question is Final Jeopardy, so
- 34:49Speaker 2: you can wager points. So, number seven is... Question number seven.
- 34:55Speaker 2: Who was the current host of Wheel of Fortune?
- 34:59Speaker 3: The current host?
- 35:00Speaker 2: Yeah, the current. I didn't even know. I didn't know
- 35:04Speaker 2: this until I had to look it up.
- 35:05Speaker 3: I don't watch Wheel of Fortune. Listen, I only know
- 35:09Speaker 3: one original host. And he's the only host I'll ever know.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Ever since when he passed, I don't watch Wheel of Fortune. So,
- 35:17Speaker 3: I do not know that. Unless it's... Unless it's still
- 35:21Speaker 3: Pat Sajak, I do not know who the host of
- 35:23Speaker 3: Blue La Fortune is.
- 35:24Speaker 2: No, yeah, it's not Pat Sajak. It's Ryan Seacrest.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Is it?
- 35:29Speaker 2: He took over from Pat Sajak. I didn't know that
- 35:32Speaker 2: either because I was like.
- 35:32Speaker 3: And you know what? I feel good not knowing that.
- 35:36Speaker 2: I'm proud.
- 35:37Speaker 3: I feel good that I don't know that shit.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Absolutely not. All right, so question eight. Which state was
- 35:43Speaker 2: the first to... Oh, this is going to be a fucking...
- 35:45Speaker 2: You know what? I'm going to do a whole other question, actually.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Let's do this.
- 35:50Speaker 3: I'm learning shit, bro.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Let's do this, because that's U.S. history. Fuck U.S. history
- 35:54Speaker 2: on your part. I don't mind. What is the name
- 36:00Speaker 2: of DMX's first album?
- 36:08Speaker 3: It's Dark and Hell is Hot.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Boom, let's go. Fuck yeah.
- 36:12Speaker 3: If I don't know hip-hop, just fucking... Bro. And that's
- 36:17Speaker 3: one of my... And that's one of... the greatest hip-hop albums.
- 36:21Speaker 2: That shit's so hard i played it.
- 36:22Speaker 3: For my daughter so good.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Deaf daughter man and she was like what is this
- 36:26Speaker 2: because she shows me all of her new hip-hop that
- 36:28Speaker 2: she listens to and i was like oh and you
- 36:30Speaker 2: know she thinks i'm soft because i don't i don't
- 36:32Speaker 2: really listen to music anymore i listen to you know
- 36:34Speaker 2: probably i was like you don't even know what i
- 36:35Speaker 2: listen to you don't even know what i like i
- 36:37Speaker 2: go you want to hear i go this is i
- 36:38Speaker 2: go brother lynch hung you ever heard of brother lynch
- 36:40Speaker 2: hung and she was like no and i go all
- 36:43Speaker 2: right i'll suck you off on dmx and she was
- 36:45Speaker 2: like what is this i was like you ain't never
- 36:46Speaker 2: heard damien i was like oh we started first.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Of all and that was and that was the standout
- 36:52Speaker 3: track too one of my favorite songs was like um
- 36:55Speaker 3: i loved um stop being greedy i was one of
- 36:57Speaker 3: my favorite because he was like doing two personalities in
- 36:59Speaker 3: the song yeah that's what i knew this guy was
- 37:01Speaker 3: just different dude damien even that concept of that record
- 37:04Speaker 3: i'm like this guy's different you.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Know what's funny is like he doesn't only does it
- 37:08Speaker 2: one time he does it on three different tracks in
- 37:10Speaker 2: that album like he plays god at one point Yeah,
- 37:13Speaker 2: he plays God at one point, and then he plays,
- 37:15Speaker 2: you know, the devil, too. There's Damon, and Damon was
- 37:19Speaker 2: ready to meet him, and then there's Damon, and then
- 37:21Speaker 2: the way he said, stop being greedy. And it's just like,
- 37:23Speaker 2: what the hell?
- 37:24Speaker 3: Dude, he's... Yeah, he's... We're not getting another DMX for
- 37:27Speaker 3: a while. Yeah. He was a talent.
- 37:29Speaker 2: He was so good, and then I was like... He
- 37:31Speaker 2: was so good. I told her, I was like, he
- 37:33Speaker 2: put out a second album in the same year, and.
- 37:35Speaker 3: It's... Yeah, Blood of My Blood, Flesh of My Flesh.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Flesh of My Flesh. That shit was dope. I go,
- 37:40Speaker 2: all that shit was good, man.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Um.
- 37:42Speaker 2: But yeah, no, it's funny because.
- 37:43Speaker 3: Two number one albums in one year. Unreal. Two platinum
- 37:46Speaker 3: albums in one year. Platinum albums. He was fucking killing it.
- 37:50Speaker 2: It was funny because I was telling her about that.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Because on these questions, I'll have hip-hop album names. People don't...
- 37:58Speaker 2: One of them was, what's Tupac's first album title or name?
- 38:04Speaker 3: I wouldn't even know that one.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Oh, really? Oh, yeah.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Yeah. But in my defense, I wasn't a big Tupac
- 38:11Speaker 3: fan until, like, I was more biggie than Tupac. And
- 38:14Speaker 3: I didn't hate Tupac. I loved Tupac more as an actor.
- 38:18Speaker 3: But a lot of these guys that are, like, Tupac fans,
- 38:22Speaker 3: only because when he passed, then all of a sudden
- 38:24Speaker 3: they were Tupac fans. But there's a lot of, like,
- 38:28Speaker 3: in terms of diehard Tupac from, like, the beginning, I
- 38:31Speaker 3: would be lying if I said that I was.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 38:34Speaker 3: I learned to appreciate him afterwards. Mm-hmm. If I'm being honest.
- 38:37Speaker 3: So I wouldn't know. I know All Eyes on Me,
- 38:40Speaker 3: which is a phenomenal album. And Me Against the World.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Those are the two albums that I know. And Machiavelli, obviously.
- 38:46Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it was Tupacalypse Now was the first album.
- 38:49Speaker 3: That's the first one?
- 38:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the one with I Get Around and shit.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Great song, by the way. Yeah. Can we do all
- 38:55Speaker 3: hip-hop questions?
- 38:58Speaker 2: Well, then the other one I had, I go, what's
- 38:59Speaker 2: Outkast's first album name, title?
- 39:02Speaker 3: Oh, I can't even pronounce it. Yeah, because it's... I
- 39:06Speaker 3: know that album. I just can't say it.
- 39:07Speaker 2: You know who got it? Jenny got it. And I
- 39:10Speaker 2: was like, that's crazy.
- 39:11Speaker 3: Southern Playalistic something.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Cadillac music.
- 39:13Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. And it's a classic. Yeah. Classic album.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Dude, all that shit. I know, you know, I should
- 39:21Speaker 2: do that. I should do more music in some of
- 39:24Speaker 2: this stuff. Yeah. Actually, you know what? The next question is.
- 39:27Speaker 3: A music question. I don't know shit about the Louisiana Exchange. Clearly.
- 39:33Speaker 2: But you did get that, so I'm going to give
- 39:34Speaker 2: you that point. The next question, too, is a music question,
- 39:38Speaker 2: but since you have an eclectic version of.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Let's tie it up here.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Name the Eric Clapton song he wrote for his son
- 39:46Speaker 2: that passed away.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Oh, I know this song, too.
- 39:52Speaker 2: If you could sing it, then I'll even give you
- 39:53Speaker 2: the point.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Um... Fuck. Is it Stairway to Heaven or something like that?
- 40:02Speaker 2: No, Stairway to Heaven is... You're close, but it's... Stairway
- 40:06Speaker 2: to Heaven is, I think... No, no.
- 40:08Speaker 3: But Zalango's like, oh, fuck. I know the song. I just... Uh.
- 40:17Speaker 3: That's that song, right? Yes.
- 40:18Speaker 2: I just don't know the name.
- 40:22Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, shit. I don't know the name of the song.
- 40:27Speaker 3: I know the song, though. It's a great song, too.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Would you know my name if I saw you in heaven?
- 40:36Speaker 3: I knew heaven. It's a freaking title.
- 40:39Speaker 2: I give it to you. I give it to you.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Fuck it.
- 40:40Speaker 3: Yes. I knew the song. It's Tears in Heaven.
- 40:44Speaker 2: Tears in Heaven.
- 40:45Speaker 3: Tears in Heaven.
- 40:47Speaker 2: That's Tears in Heaven. Come on, bro.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Everybody knows the song he wrote for us. It's a
- 40:54Speaker 3: beautiful fucking record.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:57Speaker 2: So good. Okay, so here we go. Actually, this is
- 41:01Speaker 2: week six. Actually, this is week six for Plano. I
- 41:03Speaker 2: got to say that because I said week seven earlier,
- 41:05Speaker 2: but this is week six.
- 41:06Speaker 3: I got a lot wrong.
- 41:08Speaker 2: All right, so here we go. Final Jeopardy. This is
- 41:11Speaker 2: all the marbles.
- 41:13Speaker 3: We draw the points.
- 41:15Speaker 2: This is a sports question.
- 41:18Speaker 3: Oh, God.
- 41:19Speaker 2: And you got five points. You can wager them if
- 41:21Speaker 2: you'd like.
- 41:22Speaker 3: Is it a sport that I know? Can we start there?
- 41:26Speaker 2: It's football.
- 41:26Speaker 3: Okay.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's football.
- 41:31Speaker 3: In the spirit of competition, let's just wager all the points.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Okay, fuck it. Let's run it.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Bet big, win big.
- 41:38Speaker 2: I'll even give you the team that it's from. Who
- 41:47Speaker 2: was the first Latino NFL coach and quarterback to win
- 41:51Speaker 2: two Super Bowls? Say it again. The first Latino duo,
- 41:58Speaker 2: NFL head coach and QB, to win the Super Bowl
- 42:02Speaker 2: not only once but twice.
- 42:05Speaker 3: Why do I feel like there's a Rivera in there?
- 42:08Speaker 2: It's a Raiders. I'll give you that hint.
- 42:12Speaker 3: It's Raiders.
- 42:13Speaker 2: The Raiders, yeah. The Raiders won two Super Bowls with
- 42:16Speaker 2: a head coach that was a Latino and their quarterback
- 42:19Speaker 2: was Latino as well, which is the only time that's
- 42:22Speaker 2: ever happened.
- 42:22Speaker 3: Carlos would give me this question.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Well, I knew, hey, I'm rooting for sinners on the Oscars,
- 42:28Speaker 2: so you got to stay on gate with the Latino.
- 42:32Speaker 3: You know what? I'm going to get this wrong. I'm
- 42:34Speaker 3: not going to get this right, but I'm glad you
- 42:36Speaker 3: asked the question because I'd love to know the answer
- 42:38Speaker 3: to that.
- 42:39Speaker 2: It's Tom Flores and Jim Plunkett. They were the ones
- 42:42Speaker 2: that won the.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Would have never guessed that. Okay, now who's the quarterback?
- 42:46Speaker 2: The quarterback, his name was Jim Plunkett, but he's Mexican.
- 42:49Speaker 3: Jim Plunkett? Yeah. He's Latino?
- 42:51Speaker 2: Yeah, he's Latino. He came from Boston.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Jim Plunkett was Latino, and Flores is clearly Latino. Wow, really? Yeah.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Did they win two together, or they only won one?
- 43:01Speaker 2: They won both together. They won two together. The Raiders
- 43:04Speaker 2: beat the Eagles in the Super Bowl, and they also
- 43:06Speaker 2: beat the Washington Redskins in the Super Bowl. We also
- 43:11Speaker 2: beat the Vikings in the Super Bowl once.
- 43:14Speaker 3: As you all are watching, it's not good trivia.
- 43:19Speaker 2: That's all right. That's all right, because you know what?
- 43:21Speaker 2: You did a lot better than most comics have done
- 43:23Speaker 2: on this before. So far, I've done at least, I think,
- 43:25Speaker 2: almost 10 episodes.
- 43:27Speaker 3: I'd like to thank you for the layup hip-hop question.
- 43:33Speaker 3: So that I can at least be knowledgeable in something, bro. Jeez.
- 43:38Speaker 2: This is so funny because you can tell comics are gamblers, man.
- 43:42Speaker 2: We're high-risk, high-reward type of people because everybody is. risks
- 43:46Speaker 2: everything at the end they're like fuck it let's go
- 43:49Speaker 2: i'm like.
- 43:49Speaker 3: Radius dude of course i mean yeah and but the
- 43:52Speaker 3: thing is i'm glad i like that because i learned
- 43:55Speaker 3: quite a few things today so if i ever if
- 43:58Speaker 3: i ever have to do trivia again and somehow some
- 44:01Speaker 3: of those questions mysteriously creep up again.
- 44:04Speaker 2: Or even icebreakers for a conversation you know like did
- 44:07Speaker 2: you guys know like i found this out yesterday that's
- 44:09Speaker 2: fucking crazy i did not know it was a tim
- 44:11Speaker 2: flores uh uh no uh um Tom, Tom Flores.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Tom Flores and Jim Plunkett.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 44:19Speaker 3: First Latino head coach quarterback duo.
- 44:22Speaker 2: You mixed two of the names together. You made it
- 44:23Speaker 2: Tim because it's Tom and Jim. Hilarious. But yeah, right on,
- 44:28Speaker 2: right on. Well, thank you for coming out. Also, too,
- 44:30Speaker 2: plug your dates because I want the people to know
- 44:32Speaker 2: where you're going to be at when you're going to
- 44:33Speaker 2: be there.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Oh, dude, I'm going to be at the Plano mic
- 44:38Speaker 3: drop for the first time. I've never been there, which
- 44:40Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to. April 29th, man. It's a whole
- 44:44Speaker 3: Texas run. And then I'm in Houston the next day.
- 44:46Speaker 3: So I'm going to have a lot of Texas. I'm
- 44:49Speaker 3: going to get fat. I'm going to be a lot
- 44:51Speaker 3: of Texas barbecue. A lot of Texas barbecue, bro. Oh, absolutely. Yeah,
- 44:55Speaker 3: come on out, man. Mic drop. Plano, April 29th. One
- 44:59Speaker 3: night only. I know a buddy of mine who is
- 45:02Speaker 3: an insurance broker. And anybody who's seen my page. I
- 45:05Speaker 3: don't know if you've seen the clip where he asked
- 45:07Speaker 3: me what would happen if you told Africans about how
- 45:12Speaker 3: can you sell insurance to Africans? And I was like, well,
- 45:14Speaker 3: just don't tell them how much money they're going to
- 45:15Speaker 3: get because they'll kill their spouses. And it got like
- 45:19Speaker 3: 2 million views. And he lives in Plano or Dallas,
