- 0:05My name is Antonio. I am currently thirty years old, but to this
- 0:09day I could not forget the horrible experience I had when I was sixteen.
- 0:15It was something that marked my life and ever since then my greatest fear is
- 0:19witches. On that occasion, my three friends Luis Felipe Martín and I decided
- 0:26to spend a weekend camping on a hill outside our town, in the State
- 0:30of Puebla. The place had a certain reputation for being haunted, but we
- 0:38didn' t care. In fact, that made us even more excited.
- 0:43We packed our things and began the climb to the hill in search of an
- 0:48unforgettable experience. When we get to the top, we find a perfect place
- 0:54to set up our camp quickly we build our tents and prepare a seal.
- 1:00The night was approaching and the air was starting to cool, so we lit
- 1:07the fire, took out the meat we had brought and started making delicious roast
- 1:11meat in the heat of the fire. We began to talk and laugh,
- 1:17remembering old stories and sharing our deepest fears. The music that sounded on our
- 1:23old radio crew kept us lively and entertaining, while the darkness took over.
- 1:30There was no sign of any strange phenomenon and we felt secure and happy in
- 1:37our little bubble of happiness. When our energies began to decay, we decided
- 1:42it was time to go to sleep. We turn off the music, say
- 1:48goodbye and get into our respective tents. Despite the tiredness, I had a
- 1:53hard time falling asleep something in the environment. It kept me alert as if
- 1:59my conscious subcor knew something wasn' t right. In the middle of the
- 2:04night I began to hear strange noises outside my tent. At first I thought
- 2:10they were nocturnal animals, but then I realized they sounded like whispering steps and
- 2:15laughter from women. I tried to convince myself that it was my imagination,
- 2:22but the sounds became stronger and closer. I couldn' t just lie down
- 2:29and do nothing, so I decided to leave my store to investigate. I
- 2:34didn' t want to wake up my friends, so I sneaked out and
- 2:38went into the dark following the strange noises that troubled me. What I didn
- 2:44' t know at the time was that that night would change our lives forever
- 2:49with the heart. I attend a thousand an hour, went into the dark
- 2:53following the strange noises. However, as much as he walked, he found
- 2:59nothing unusual. I started to think that maybe it was just my imagination.
- 3:05Playing a bad game and I decided to go back to my tent. But
- 3:09as I got closer, I noticed something wasn' t right. The atmosphere
- 3:15had changed completely. The air was so cold that my bones were flaking and
- 3:21I felt an unexplained fear that left me icy. It was as if an
- 3:25evil presence had taken over the place. I went back to my shop and
- 3:30got into my sleeping bag but I couldn' t help but feel like something
- 3:36wasn' t right. I felt watched as if an invisible force was stalking
- 3:40me from the shadows. My mind began to be filled with thoughts, sinister
- 3:46and terrifying, images of nightmares and legends that we had shared. During the
- 3:51night. I tried to ignore fear and concentrate on my breathing to calm down,
- 3:58but the cold and terror were unbearable. Suddenly, I heard a whisper
- 4:02by my side, like someone was trying to communicate with me. My eyes
- 4:09opened wide and I was petrified, unable to move. At that moment,
- 4:15a chilling laugh resounded through the night, as if someone were mocking my fear.
- 4:21The laughter seemed to come from all directions as if I were completely surrounded
- 4:28and I couldn' t help but scream at my friends waking up. The
- 4:31screams of my companions joined mine and all of a sudden we were all awake
- 4:35and paralyzed by terror. The cold and fear had taken over our camp and
- 4:43we did not know how to face the unknown. Although we were together,
- 4:49we felt that we were being attacked by a supernatural force that we could neither
- 4:56understand nor control. That night, the darkness had wrapped us in its terrifying
- 5:00embrace and the real horror was just beginning. We gathered around the campfire that
- 5:06was still smoking trembling with cold and fear, unable to speak. Each of
- 5:12us seemed to have experienced something frightening but we did not want to give voice
- 5:17to our fears. However, we could not ignore what had happened and looked
- 5:23for comfort in the company of others. I told my friends what I had
- 5:29heard and how I had gone out to investigate, but I had found nothing
- 5:33out of the ordinary. As I recounted my experience, I saw their faces
- 5:39getting more and more pale. One of them, Luis, shared that something
- 5:45had awakened him in the middle of the night, feeling as if a frozen
- 5:49hand touched his foot, but when he opened his eyes, there was no
- 5:56one there, and Philip and Martin had also experienced something similar. Both had
- 6:00heard chilling whispers and felt an intense cold, as if an evil presence was
- 6:06stalking them in the dark, we realized that we could not sit by allowing
- 6:12fear to dominate us and decided to join and explore the surroundings, looking for
- 6:18any hint of what was terrorizing us. Armed with our flashlights and determination to
- 6:27face the unknown. We walk through the hill in the dark, inspecting every
- 6:31corner and listening attentively to any unusual sound. But as much as we seek,
- 6:39we find nothing to explain to the terrifying experiences we had experienced. Exhausted
- 6:45and discouraged. We returned to our camp, although we had not discovered anything
- 6:51in our search, we could not shake the feeling that something stalked us in
- 6:58the dark we decided to try to sleep again, but we agreed that if
- 7:02one of us heard or felt something strange, he should wake up the others
- 7:06immediately. We got into our tents and tucked ourselves into our sleeping bags trying
- 7:12to hold on to the illusion of security they provided. But as the night
- 7:18progressed, we could not help but feel that we were at the mercy of
- 7:24forces that we could not understand or control. And deep down in our minds,
- 7:29we knew the worst was yet to come. After a long time fighting
- 7:34the fear that invaded me, I finally managed to fall asleep. However,
- 7:40instead of finding shelter in the arms of a morpheus, I plunged into a
- 7:45horrible nightmare. In my dream. I was in a long dark hallway with
- 7:50an oppressive atmosphere that filled me with terror. On both sides of the corridor
- 7:57were numerous doors, each as n or rastra as the next. Suddenly,
- 8:01a woman with no hair, dressed in black, appeared next to me.
- 8:07His face showed no expression, but something in his eyes gave me chills.
- 8:13In that the woman took my hand and we began to walk towards one of
- 8:18the doors. With every step we took, I felt my heart beating stronger,
- 8:24anticipating a bad omen. We finally got to the door and the woman
- 8:28opened it slowly. On the other side of the door I could see our
- 8:35camp, the tents, what was left of the camp and the darkness around
- 8:39us, but something was not right, because as I looked closer, I
- 8:43realized that another woman also without hair, was standing next to our tents.
- 8:52His pale skin contrasted with the darkness of the night and his feet were stained
- 8:56with blood. But the scariest thing of all was his evil smile, which
- 9:01seemed to make fun of me. The woman began to approach the shops and
- 9:07in an instant opened mine. I saw myself sleeping completely alien to the horror
- 9:13hovering over me. The woman bowed over my sleeping body, watching me with
- 9:18a malicious look. At that moment terror invaded me completely and I screamed in
- 9:24my dream, waking me from the nightmare. But the horror didn' t
- 9:30end there. As I opened my eyes, I saw a shadow coming to
- 9:35my tent as if the nightmare had come true. My cry of fear awakened
- 9:41my friends, who came out of their tents worried about what was happening.
- 9:46My friends, hearing my screams, quickly came to my tent. I told
- 9:54them about the terrible nightmare I had had and how the shadow in my tent
- 9:58seemed to have made it happen. We were all scared, but my friends
- 10:03tried to calm me down. We looked at our watches and realized it was
- 10:09three o' clock in the morning. We decided that it would be best
- 10:13to wait until dawn before leaving the camp, as leaving at that time could
- 10:18be dangerous. In that, Luis proposed that we stay awake and alert until
- 10:24dawn in case anything unusual happened. Again, we all agreed with his plan,
- 10:30so we rekindled the fire and sat around it to distract ourselves from the
- 10:35fear that gripped us. We began to talk about our childhoods and the fun
- 10:41things we used to do together, as we shared our stories, our laughter
- 10:48filled the air and momentarily forgot the terror that had brought us there. However,
- 10:54while one of my friends told one of their stories, I couldn'
- 10:58t help but keep my thoughts from wandering towards the legends we had heard about
- 11:03that hill. I remembered how my uncle had told me that witches used to
- 11:09gather there to perform their rituals and sacrifices. According to him. The witches
- 11:15sought the energy of the hill to feed their spells and curse those who dared
- 11:20to interrupt their practices. As I thought of these stories, a chill ran
- 11:26through my back as if an iced finger was caressing me. I wondered if
- 11:31our camp was located in one of the witches' gathering sites and if,
- 11:37in our ignorance, we had unleashed their anger by invading their sacred territory.
- 11:43I did not want to share my fears with my friends, but the restlessness
- 11:48grew within me, making every sound, every shadow in the night seem a
- 11:54omen of impending horror. As everyone laughed and shared stories, I felt the
- 11:58waves getting more restless, unable to join their joy. Then, all of
- 12:05a sudden, the silence took over the camp. We all stopped talking at
- 12:09the same time, as a sound scorched our blood, as a woman hummed
- 12:15a lullaby in a dark way. It was a melodic sound, but strange
- 12:20that seemed to resonate in our bones. In that we look at each other
- 12:26trembling with fear. Martin suggested calling his father, but Luis argued it was
- 12:31a terrible idea. He reminded us that if our parents discovered the truth,
- 12:37they would scold us and we couldn' t risk them. If there was
- 12:41really some danger, we decided that we had to be brave and face the
- 12:48situation ourselves. It was time to get out of that cursed place and we
- 12:54quickly picked up our stuff. Keeping our belongings in our backpacks with painful hands
- 12:58of fear. Every second that happened, the lullaby became more intense and disturbing,
- 13:05as if the invisible woman were approaching us as we rushed to pack.
- 13:13We could not help but feel that we were being watched, as if the
- 13:18darkness had a thousand eyes that stalked us once we were ready, put on
- 13:24our backpacks and prepared to leave the camp. But despite our determination, fear
- 13:31kept us paralyzed, unable to take the first step toward the unknown. What
- 13:37horrors would await us in the dark. It was worse to face the unknown,
- 13:43to stay in the camp and wait until dawn we faced a crossroads and
- 13:50time was running out, contemplating the shadows around us. I realized that maybe
- 13:56it wasn' t such a good idea to get into the dark. We
- 14:01could get lost or worse still find ourselves with something far more frightening than what
- 14:05we had already experienced. Despite my shame, I proposed to my friends that
- 14:11we pray our father, hoping that if there was something evil between us,
- 14:15prayer could take him away. Although none of us was particularly religious at the
- 14:22time it seemed to be our only choice. My friends nodded and we all
- 14:28held hands in a circle. We began to recite our father quietly, our
- 14:35words hesitant at first, but ever stronger, as we advanced. However,
- 14:43instead of improving our situation, it seemed that we were making things worse,
- 14:50as the air became even colder, as if an icy breeze enveloped us and
- 14:54we felt an oppressive weight on our shoulders. The humming or for a few
- 15:01moments giving way to a brief silence, but suddenly, a guttural and horrible
- 15:07voice. It resounded at night it was the same woman, but now she
- 15:11seemed to be cursing us, twisting our words into a cacophony of hatred and
- 15:18contempt. The trees seemed to whisper their curses and the wind groaned with their
- 15:24fury. Terror invaded us, making us forget our differences and unite in a
- 15:28collective embrace, we could not believe what was happening, but we knew we
- 15:35should do something. Before it was too late, we looked around for some
- 15:41sign that the curse was manifesting in the physical world, but all we saw
- 15:46was darkness and all we heard was our own heartbeats accelerated by fear. Our
- 15:54minds ran trying to find a solution to the increasingly desperate situation we were in.
- 16:02We had to run and risk getting lost in the dark or facing the
- 16:07curse and fighting the unknown. Indecision kept us in a state of paralysis as
- 16:12time ran away from us and the fury of the invisible woman grew more and
- 16:18more. Suddenly, everything was quiet. The cold and fear that had tormented
- 16:23us seemed to fade away and everything returned to normal and for a brief moment
- 16:32we dared to believe that it was all over and that we were safe.
- 16:37But that brief breath didn' t last long. We heard footsteps and a
- 16:41woman screaming in the dark, asking if there was anyone there, if we
- 16:45were okay. His voice sounded worried and kind, which gave us a glimpse
- 16:49of hope. In that we looked into our eyes and decided to approach the
- 16:56woman who seemed to want to help us. We set off following the sound
- 17:02of his voice. When we finally got to where the woman was, we
- 17:07were paralyzed by horror, because there was a grotesque figure in front of us.
- 17:14An extremely fat, pale bald woman, with her feet bloody in her
- 17:21arms. He carried what seemed to be a plastic doll that imitated a baby.
- 17:26The woman hummed lullabys as she watched the doll with a strange mixture of
- 17:32tenderness and madness. Time seemed to have stopped. As we watched her unable
- 17:37to move a muscle or turn her eyes away from the hideous scene. Then
- 17:44the woman raised her head and stared at us. His eyes were empty as
- 17:49if there was no soul inside him. An evil smile formed on his lips.
- 17:55As he looked at us and we realized that we had fallen into a
- 17:59trap. At that time we understood that the kindness and concern we had perceived
- 18:04in his voice were only a façade, a deception to draw us to it.
- 18:11We were trapped in their net and we didn' t know what horrors
- 18:15were waiting for us. Then, in the face of the terrifying appearance of
- 18:18the woman, we screamed and ran out in different directions driven by panic.
- 18:25One of my friends stood still, trembling with fear, but I pushed him
- 18:30and yelled at him to run somehow. We all ended up meeting again at
- 18:36the camp, where we made the unanimous decision to leave immediately, regardless of
- 18:41the consequences. We ran in a hurry listening to something or someone chasing us
- 18:48and as we ran, we looked up at the sky and saw some balls
- 18:52of fire. Running through the night immediately I remembered what my father had told
- 18:57me fireballs were witches. A chill swept through my body before that revelation and
- 19:04fear seized us even more. We didn' t stop to think about what
- 19:11might happen if we were caught or if it was really witches chasing us.
- 19:17We only knew that we had to escape at all costs and put as much
- 19:22distance as possible between us and that cursed place. Our legs were burning and
- 19:26our lungs were begging for air, but terror drove us forward. We did
- 19:33not know how long we could maintain that frantic rhythm, nor that fate would
- 19:37separate us at the end of our flight, but we did not stop.
- 19:41We could not stop as the fireballs continued to illuminate the night sky and the
- 19:48shadow of the bald woman and her evil intentions pursued us in the darkness.
- 19:52As we ran, one of my friends stumbled upon something on the ground and
- 19:57fell to the ground with a deaf blow. By helping him get up,
- 20:03we discovered that he had stumbled upon a pig' s head. The vision
- 20:07was so grotesque that one of my friends couldn' t help but vomit.
- 20:11Despite the horror that this discovery had caused us, we continued to run until
- 20:17we saw a light in the distance behind some trees. We approached cautiously and
- 20:22what we saw below far exceeded. Anything we would have imagined in our worst
- 20:29nightmares. There, in the middle of a light lit by torches, there
- 20:34were six women, including the one we had seen ruffling the doll. They
- 20:40were all bald, pale, naked and bloody feet, forming a circle and
- 20:47laughing hysterically and wildly. Suddenly, they all began to recite incomprehensible words in
- 20:53an unknown language as they put their feet in buckets full of blood or,
- 21:00attest, of the decapitated pig. We were paralyzed by the shock, unable
- 21:04to turn our eyes away from the macabre scene that was unfolding before us,
- 21:11it was evident that we were witnessing some sort of rite to the dark and
- 21:15evil and the idea that those women could have supernatural and sinister powers. It
- 21:21filled us with unimaginable fear when the witches turned to us smiling wickedly, we
- 21:27did not waste time and we began to run again desperate to escape. The
- 21:33laughter and the murmurs followed us, but we didn' t stop. Suddenly,
- 21:38we met an older man who was carrying a flashlight and a machete and
- 21:45seeing us scared. He asked us what had happened at first. We didn
- 21:51' t trust linen. We wanted to answer, but he insisted and one
- 21:56of my friends, crying in fear, finally told him everything we had witnessed.
- 22:02The man named Martin told us that he lived at the foot of the
- 22:07hill and had seen the fireballs in the sky knew they were the damn witches
- 22:11and had gone out to face them. Ready to cut off their legs.
- 22:17He assured us that we did not have to worry, as we were near
- 22:22the end of the hill and invited us to his house, where his wife
- 22:26would offer you warm and bread to calm our scare. His words gave us
- 22:30some relief and before we went our way, Martin shouted to the witches to
- 22:34threaten them with facing them himself if he did not. As we walked towards
- 22:41Martin' s house, he told us that the witches had stolen his pig
- 22:45for their horrible rituals and that not long ago, he had caught one of
- 22:49them and burned his feet. Although his account was frightening, we were grateful
- 22:57to have found someone s s s s s s s s or to protect
- 23:00us from those terrible creatures. We arrived at the house of Martin and his
- 23:04wife, who welcomed us with open arms. We spent the rest of the
- 23:11night talking to them, which helped us feel better and safer. As the
- 23:15hours passed, the sun began to appear on the horizon announcing the sunrise with
- 23:21the sun shining in the sky. We said goodbye to Martin and his wife
- 23:26and returned to our homes still unbelieving for everything we had lived. We promised
- 23:33each other not to tell our parents what happened and we swore never to return
- 23:41to the hill again. However, after that terrifying experience, nightmares often tormented
- 23:45us, for witches appeared in our dreams, making us relive the fear we
- 23:51felt that night. Even on some occasions we heard strange murmurs outside our homes,
- 24:00reminding us that what we had lived on the hill had not simply been
- 24:04a hallucination. Although we never returned to the hill, the memory of that
- 24:11horrible night remained with us forever, leaving us with a constant sense of restlessness
- 24:17and fear towards the unknown. Anonymous account
