- 0:00Francis I know this is not going to be a surprise to you because you're in my house and you can see
- 0:18all the boxes but I'm moving and I hate it I like I know oh my god I'm so sorry well I
- 0:25Where are you going?
- 0:29The act of moving.
- 0:30I'm excited to be in a new place.
- 0:32But the act of moving might be the worst thing in the world.
- 0:38It's horrible.
- 0:40I know.
- 0:41Listen, I've moved.
- 0:42I get it.
- 0:42Yeah.
- 0:43Yeah.
- 0:44It's just really, we'll test the bonds of your marriage.
- 0:46Most divorces happen during.
- 0:48Mid move.
- 0:49Cheating and then moving.
- 0:51Hmm.
- 0:52You're right.
- 0:52Cheating would be more fun.
- 0:54Yeah.
- 0:54Because moving sucks.
- 0:55yeah i'm getting nothing out of this yeah um are you doing a lot of the the work no thank goodness
- 1:03good i i mean really it's as far as moving goes i it's very minimal for me so yeah it's it's i
- 1:11don't know why i'm complaining other than it's just it's just kind of general stress levels
- 1:15that's just like and then you like look around and you're like oh my god i have so much crap
- 1:19yeah um that was hard for me too because i moved i've moved like six or seven times
- 1:24as an adult.
- 1:26And every time it's like, why do I own things?
- 1:28Yeah.
- 1:29And then you get settled into a place and you're like, ooh, things.
- 1:33Let's get more.
- 1:34I own many things.
- 1:34Yeah, let's get more things.
- 1:37Yeah.
- 1:37Well, I'm sorry.
- 1:38That's really hard.
- 1:39It's all right.
- 1:40It'll be over soon.
- 1:42Specifically tomorrow.
- 1:43Oh, it's so exciting.
- 1:45Yeah.
- 1:45I can't wait to be there.
- 1:47Yeah.
- 1:50Yep.
- 1:50You have your own room.
- 1:51maybe after you're out of here we should break in here every week even still record yeah like
- 1:58scared of new people yeah just the family that moves in here we'll just they'll have to get used
- 2:04to it yeah i don't know how we're gonna stay funny while also holding guns at people but i do
- 2:09this is great um what sort of housewarming gift should i bring you
- 2:15whatever surprised me i don't want to know okay it'll be a nice surprise okay
- 2:21all right welcome to very fine friends a podcast where friends talk about stuff
- 2:31well you know what's going on my my life francis how are you
- 2:35i'm good good yeah i just dropped a class oh nice yeah let me tell you why okay so a few
- 2:44semesters ago i took an online class but they made you go do tests in person for my online
- 2:49class and I hate going to proctored exams.
- 2:51Yeah.
- 2:52The lady who works there was kind of a big old B.
- 2:55Okay.
- 2:56Okay.
- 2:57So.
- 2:57For those who don't know, B stands for bitch.
- 3:00Yes.
- 3:02No.
- 3:03She wishes she was a boof.
- 3:05She was a biatch.
- 3:06So anywho, as soon as this class started just now, it was like, here's your syllabus.
- 3:12Oh, you'll have to go take proctored exams.
- 3:13I was like, nope.
- 3:15And I just dropped it.
- 3:16Wow.
- 3:17And I picked up another one for next semester.
- 3:19Nice.
- 3:19so yeah cool good for you thanks what if the next one is also proctor what if it's all just like
- 3:26it can't be because the one i'm in now isn't so you just gotta keep going till you find what
- 3:30you're looking for that's good advice listeners don't settle yeah don't settle yeah
- 3:36unless you want to and then do unless you're out of options yeah some of you probably should settle
- 3:44Unless you're soil at a construction site.
- 3:48Yes.
- 3:57Soil at construction site, if you're listening, and we know you are.
- 4:02Don't settle.
- 4:03Or do settle.
- 4:04Do settle.
- 4:05We need to get this done.
- 4:07What if we just empowered a whole bunch of soil at construction sites not to settle,
- 4:11and then now, like, no buildings get built?
- 4:13and there's this huge crisis in construction all over the world.
- 4:18We can't abandon soil now.
- 4:20Oh, well, no, I mean, we're Team Soil for sure.
- 4:22So whatever they decide to do, we're on board.
- 4:25But I like that all work is coming to a halt because of us.
- 4:29Yeah.
- 4:29So sorry.
- 4:30So sorry.
- 4:31This had to happen.
- 4:32Soil's been settling long enough.
- 4:34It's time for Soil to be with someone hot.
- 4:36Yeah.
- 4:38Like me.
- 4:40Yeah.
- 4:41Yeah.
- 4:42Soil, come.
- 4:43I've got a new place, Soil.
- 4:44Oh, you're going to love it.
- 4:45Oh, you're going to love it.
- 4:46It's going to be so great.
- 4:47Quick interruption.
- 4:48Every week on the podcast, we do something where our producer, Joe, gives Francis and
- 4:55I each our own secret word.
- 4:58Throughout the course of the podcast, we need to find a way to slip the secret word into
- 5:03our conversation without the other person noticing.
- 5:07If the other person can correctly guess the secret word, they get a point.
- 5:10and right before we die we add up all the points and then we get a prize whoever has the most points
- 5:19for guessing the most secret words here's joe with today's secret words jenna's secret word
- 5:27is brittle jenna's decoy word is newcomers francis's secret word is slaying francis's
- 5:37decoy word is giveaway all right back to the podcast it's time to get into our first segment
- 5:46which is as always the invention of the week
- 5:51inventions
- 5:55okay all right so this is a little saucy
- 6:02Ooh.
- 6:03I'm going to try to describe it as PG as possible.
- 6:05Okay.
- 6:06But it's not PG.
- 6:07Oh, no.
- 6:08This is an invention for lovers, but it's a two-part.
- 6:14And the first half could be for just friends.
- 6:16It could be for anyone you know.
- 6:17Okay.
- 6:18Then the next half is for lovers.
- 6:20Whoa.
- 6:21This is a big buildup.
- 6:24Oh, yeah.
- 6:25Oh, yeah.
- 6:25Okay.
- 6:26You know how sometimes you're not in the same place as someone that you want to be with?
- 6:32I do know that.
- 6:33Yeah.
- 6:34You know how you want to go out to dinner with them, but they live in Rhode Island.
- 6:40I do know that.
- 6:41Yeah, and you don't.
- 6:42I know.
- 6:44Well.
- 6:44Well, starting tomorrow, I will.
- 6:45Just kidding.
- 6:45Not moving to Rhode Island.
- 6:48Oh, yes.
- 6:50Good.
- 6:50Because I don't want to have to follow you there.
- 6:54Anyway.
- 6:55Go on.
- 6:56This half of my invention is a holographic device that basically you can go to a restaurant and it projects the other person across the booth from you.
- 7:14And wherever they are, it's projecting you.
- 7:18So yes, you're at a table for one, but it's like you're having dinner with your friend.
- 7:24Okay.
- 7:24Pretty cool, right?
- 7:28Sure.
- 7:30Alright.
- 7:31Should I wait until the end for comments?
- 7:34That's the first half.
- 7:36Alright.
- 7:37Here's where it gets good.
- 7:40Alright.
- 7:41This is when it gets a little...
- 7:42This is for saucy.
- 7:43This is...
- 7:45You'll see.
- 7:46You're gonna love this.
- 7:47Okay.
- 7:49You know how sometimes your significant other is in another state?
- 7:54I do know that.
- 7:57And you're not?
- 7:59Yes.
- 8:00Or they're on a work trip.
- 8:02They're in Rhode Island and you're here.
- 8:03You're here, yeah.
- 8:04But you know how you're...
- 8:06We're...
- 8:10Horny species.
- 8:13I've heard of that.
- 8:15It's hard to...
- 8:16Yeah, that's why there's so many hobbies.
- 8:19Because people have to think about something else.
- 8:22What if I told you?
- 8:23that just because your husband is at a work conference in Rhode Island,
- 8:28you could still, quote-unquote, be marital.
- 8:34Okay.
- 8:35Perform the marital act?
- 8:36Yeah, and here's how.
- 8:37Okay.
- 8:38It's a two-part system.
- 8:40He's got some of the components, and you've got the other at home.
- 8:43And basically, these two components, which are connected via internet and Wi-Fi,
- 8:49communicate to the other device what's happening in the other place.
- 8:55So, the one person...
- 9:03Okay.
- 9:04Let me just put this in PG terms.
- 9:07Let's say you're drinking out of a glass.
- 9:12Yes, okay.
- 9:14In Phoenix.
- 9:15All right.
- 9:15In Rhode Island, the other device feels like it's being drunk out of.
- 9:23Okay.
- 9:25All right.
- 9:26And vice versa.
- 9:27So you can do whatever you want, and the other person knows what's happening.
- 9:32Is there some kind of video interface to this?
- 9:38Or hologram?
- 9:41If you remember the first half of this.
- 9:43Yeah, I was trying to connect those dots.
- 9:46You did it.
- 9:47It's not just for friends.
- 9:49Yes, there is a picture in picture.
- 9:53Okay.
- 9:53All right.
- 9:56Here's my first thought.
- 10:02Could this be accomplished with just propping up an iPad against a seat and just video calling somebody?
- 10:13Okay, I've tried really hard not to be gross.
- 10:18Let me just take one more stab at it.
- 10:20Well, let's address the first part.
- 10:22Okay.
- 10:23Yeah.
- 10:23You're saying you don't need the hologram?
- 10:25Well, I mean, you're saying a hologram projects like they're sitting there with you.
- 10:30Yeah.
- 10:30Couldn't you just prop an iPad up against a chair and so you're seeing like the top half of somebody and then you're still talking to them?
- 10:39Or the bottom half if that's what you prefer.
- 10:42Yeah, depending on how you normally eat dinner with your friends.
- 10:45I'm going to be honest.
- 10:46Yeah, you could.
- 10:48But a hologram is way more interesting, and they look corporeal in front of you.
- 10:55And if they're eating a lamb chop, you're watching it.
- 10:58So it's literally like you're having dinner together instead of I'm on the phone with someone.
- 11:04But the video would do the same thing.
- 11:07You'd see them eating a lamb chop.
- 11:09In 2D.
- 11:09you want oh you want that lamb to be coming right yeah i want to see it's like you're there
- 11:14yeah oh nice you guys have like little food fights and the wait steps like
- 11:21um did that answer your question uh yes the part where you said i'm gonna be honest
- 11:34you could answer my question.
- 11:37Don't you agree that there's
- 11:38value of having someone 3D
- 11:40in front of you?
- 11:42I mean, it depends on how good the hologram is.
- 11:44Do we have that kind of good hologram
- 11:46technology? Yes, it's very good.
- 11:48We're there. And it's proprietary.
- 11:51Oh, good. Thank goodness.
- 11:52Thank God we have the
- 11:54rights to it. We've tweaked it. Ours is
- 11:56slightly better. Okay.
- 11:57They do it now with dead celebrities
- 11:59at, like, concerts. Yeah. No one's
- 12:02complaining about that.
- 12:04No one's in the audience going, why aren't we just using an iPad?
- 12:08Well, I think because they're dead.
- 12:11Oh, yeah.
- 12:12You could really set up an iPad on Tupac right now and have it be this.
- 12:17Have they even tried?
- 12:18Yes.
- 12:20It did not go well.
- 12:21You didn't answer.
- 12:22The estate of Tupac has put a restraining order against me.
- 12:28I am not allowed within 1,000 feet of his coffin.
- 12:33You're brave for talking about it now.
- 12:35Thank you.
- 12:35I wasn't going to ever admit this out loud, but that is the case.
- 12:40Okay.
- 12:41As for the other part.
- 12:43Yes.
- 12:49I would think.
- 12:55There's okay.
- 12:56there's a lot that probably couldn't be replicated by this device
- 13:03is my guess well the first edition is just mostly to get us into market technology will improve over
- 13:16time okay so this is just a kind of first to market proof of concept type invention well yes
- 13:24And, you know, the main thing is you absolutely...
- 13:32You know those devices where someone has a remote and they can control the intensity and the other person has it?
- 13:38Yeah.
- 13:39It's kind of like that, but better.
- 13:43Why not just...
- 13:45Well, it seems like a lot...
- 13:48I mean, there's more than just, like, sipping cups involved, right?
- 13:54uh-huh there yeah yeah so picture this there's a life size
- 14:03doll robot yeah robot yeah you know that's with each person
- 14:11so it's a sex robot
- 14:15that the other person controls
- 14:20think of the cheating this will prevent now people will just be getting divorced because of moves
- 14:33but they're moves that you're initiating 2 000 miles away
- 14:36oh i meant like moves like to a new house
- 14:40from before oh yeah yeah i'm there yeah
- 14:44okay definitely people will buy people definitely this is a moneymaker definitely people will buy
- 14:52this yeah we could even do like a giveaway at the beginning and getting it out into the market first
- 14:59is part of your so you're saying even though the technology will catch up to your idea
- 15:06and so eventually
- 15:08any newcomers
- 15:11to the industry
- 15:12are going to
- 15:14they're going to be like well we weren't here first
- 15:17so our product's not going to be
- 15:19as good. Right and they didn't have the
- 15:21giveaway. Right right
- 15:23I forgot about the giveaway. Yeah.
- 15:25What was the giveaway again?
- 15:27A tote?
- 15:29Yeah.
- 15:36I can't believe I guessed the giveaway right away.
- 15:44Yeah.
- 15:45In a water bottle.
- 15:47Oh, okay.
- 15:48But not a reusable water bottle, just a little Poland Springs water bottle.
- 15:55We don't even change the label.
- 15:57No.
- 15:57Yeah.
- 15:58But hey, one more water bottle than you had before the giveaway, so.
- 16:02Yeah.
- 16:02Stop complaining.
- 16:04You have your sex robot.
- 16:05just shut up
- 16:06enjoy your water
- 16:08oh I'm sorry
- 16:10I didn't mean to cheapen
- 16:13this invention
- 16:14it's for lovers
- 16:16or people who want to eat dinner
- 16:19that Venn diagram is a circle my friend
- 16:26how are these two
- 16:31really related
- 16:32I don't know.
- 16:33This didn't have to be a two-part thing.
- 16:36Because there's a hologram on one side and a robot on another.
- 16:40It's two separate.
- 16:42Well, I figured sometimes you got to dinner before.
- 16:46So what if...
- 16:47Okay.
- 16:50So this is dinner.
- 16:52This is a dinner date.
- 16:54Yeah.
- 16:54Okay.
- 16:55Yeah.
- 16:56What if the robot went to dinner and then the other person maybe just had like a...
- 17:02a face, like,
- 17:04projection of the face on the robot's face,
- 17:07but then because the other person on the other end
- 17:09is controlling the robot, as we know,
- 17:12from the aforementioned lovemaking.
- 17:16Yeah.
- 17:22What if, yeah, then we'll just have it be the robot
- 17:26and no hologram.
- 17:29Because then they could still control it.
- 17:32At dinner.
- 17:35That's asking a lot of the restaurant.
- 17:40You're right.
- 17:42It's just a step too far.
- 17:44Yeah.
- 17:45I think that we just need to see this in practice and then find out what works and what doesn't.
- 17:51Okay.
- 17:52Listeners, if you want to be a beta tester for this, drop us a line on social media at veryfinefriends on all platforms.
- 18:02What are we calling this?
- 18:07You seem exasperated by that.
- 18:08Well, I don't know.
- 18:09I want it to be sweet.
- 18:11Wine me, dine me, and 69.
- 18:13Oh, no.
- 18:14No.
- 18:15No.
- 18:16Then sweet people won't purchase it.
- 18:19Like Cuddlebot.
- 18:20Or like Far and Wide.
- 18:27um
- 18:32feel it
- 18:36no
- 18:36feel it
- 18:39okay
- 18:41cuddle bot
- 18:43it's you
- 18:46no
- 18:46what's a word for
- 18:51distance is the wrong distance
- 18:53right distance
- 18:55relationship
- 18:57Right distance.
- 19:01I guess it'll be okay.
- 19:03Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:06This could be great for prisons.
- 19:09We'll license it to the state penitentiaries.
- 19:12Oh, can you imagine? That's disgusting.
- 19:15No.
- 19:16Prisoners are just going to be...
- 19:17That's all that's going to be happening.
- 19:20We're here for the money.
- 19:21Only if they're good.
- 19:24It's like a conjugal visit.
- 19:25a big branch just flew into my line of sight from out the window it was really distracting
- 19:31yeah it was scary looked like it came from the sky people are see how desperate people are to
- 19:35get this product they're climbing through the trees to come get it hydraulic kiss do we like
- 19:42that hydraulic kiss yeah like a hydraulic press but a kiss uh that just sounds like an industrial kiss
- 19:52i guess it is okay well i can guarantee this will sell because anything even remotely
- 20:05sex related does sell so i'd be a fool not to be on board yeah you need to invest and our what
- 20:13sets us apart from normal of those is that this is a specifically about love oh so you wait do
- 20:19Do people have to prove they're in love to buy it?
- 20:21If they want a discount.
- 20:23If they want the tote.
- 20:25And the Poland Springs.
- 20:28Yeah.
- 20:29Okay.
- 20:30So how do they prove it?
- 20:33They submit a video.
- 20:37One from Rhode Island and one from wherever else they are.
- 20:40And they say three things they like about the other person.
- 20:43and then they kiss the crook of their elbow as though it were the person and if the kisses match
- 20:51we know so then we line up the two videos next to each other and then using our proprietary
- 20:58technology you get it it magically melds them together and be like oh that is actually what
- 21:05those two people have clearly made out before and they get ten dollars off okay and what what is the
- 21:11price point of this
- 21:12love
- 21:15robot, love making robot?
- 21:17For the set?
- 21:19Yes. $1,499.
- 21:22Okay, so for
- 21:23if you can prove you're in love, it's $1,489.
- 21:28$1,489.
- 21:29Yeah.
- 21:29Okay. Yeah. This will actually promote
- 21:31people to go in love.
- 21:34Like, oh shoot, I better
- 21:35fall in love because I need that $10.
- 21:37I need that $10, yeah.
- 21:39We could be the next...
- 21:41Like matchmakers of the country.
- 21:45You're welcome, America.
- 21:46Yeah.
- 21:48Subscribe.
- 21:49Yeah.
- 21:51I'm looking at you, lady who proctors exams.
- 21:55Oh, God, I hated that woman.
- 21:58Okay.
- 21:59Well, right distance relationship.
- 22:02Let's see.
- 22:03Hearing it from you, I like it.
- 22:05Yeah.
- 22:06Joe?
- 22:06Yeah.
- 22:08Joe's on board.
- 22:10Okay.
- 22:10Well, we're going to make a ton of money on this.
- 22:16Go to verifiedfriends.com to pick up your own set and to submit your videos to prove that you're in love.
- 22:25Don't worry.
- 22:25We have strong data protection and these videos will not leak.
- 22:28No.
- 22:30We have proprietary data.
- 22:34Something tells me there's going to be a lot of people with moist elbow crooks real soon.
- 22:39Oh, God, I hope so.
- 22:40So what if we're walking around and we just see a bunch of old moist crooks and we're like...
- 22:45Did you get the discount?
- 22:46Yeah.
- 22:46Good for you.
- 22:47Bunch of moist crooks.
- 22:49Yeah.
- 22:51Again, I don't know how the first half and the second half really...
- 22:54I don't think they need to be connected unless it's the same technology, but...
- 22:58It's a discount if you buy them together.
- 23:01If you don't care about going to dinner.
- 23:03What's that discount?
- 23:05And how do you...
- 23:06Do people have to prove that they're using it with friends?
- 23:08It's $11.
- 23:10whoa more for friendship huh i guess when you're in love you don't need as you're just happy to be
- 23:15in love listen as an adult it's harder to make friend true friends than to fall in love yeah
- 23:21love is statistically speaking yeah that that is just true they know it's true everyone knows
- 23:29yeah much much partners are partners but friends are friends that's 10 harder yeah so that's why
- 23:39I get 10% more of a discount.
- 23:42Yeah, you get it.
- 23:43Yeah.
- 23:43So you don't have to, but why wouldn't you?
- 23:46Yeah, I mean, exactly.
- 23:48Don't be stupid, people.
- 23:49Yeah.
- 23:50Ignorami.
- 23:51Nice.
- 23:52Thanks.
- 23:55Good plural.
- 23:57Latin plural.
- 23:58Thank you.
- 23:59That wraps up the invention of the week.
- 24:04it's time for our next segment this just in
- 24:13this just in our next segment is this just in
- 24:20we got breaking news here on the pod uh our producer joe
- 24:27has just
- 24:31oh
- 24:32oh my gosh
- 24:34horrible horrible news
- 24:37we've just been handed a piece of paper from our
- 24:39producer Joe
- 24:40I
- 24:42I even hate to talk about this on the heels of
- 24:45such like what was such a
- 24:46fun fun topic with the invention of the
- 24:49week
- 24:49are you okay
- 24:53I'm okay I can do this
- 24:54I can do this
- 24:55a blimp has exploded
- 25:01the hindenburg the hindenburg
- 25:06is i i can't see how there's any survivors i can't believe this i have stock in the hindenburg
- 25:14i know i got you that stock as a birthday present i was like this is gonna last you
- 25:21as long as our friendship is what you said.
- 25:23Exactly.
- 25:24God, does this mark the end of our friendship?
- 25:26No, it can't.
- 25:27No.
- 25:28No, we need friends more than it.
- 25:29This needs to bring us closer together.
- 25:31Well, I think the ship must have been filled with helium
- 25:37because we all know that's the most incredibly flammable gas.
- 25:43And I just, I hope that this, God.
- 25:48I hope this hasn't changed the future of air travel.
- 25:52How could it not?
- 25:54I mean, look at...
- 25:59I was planning on...
- 26:01I'm going to be honest with you.
- 26:032026 was going to be the year that I flew a blimp.
- 26:06Flew in a blimp.
- 26:08I had it planned.
- 26:10I was going to go to Des Moines.
- 26:14Iowa or Washington?
- 26:15Both.
- 26:16Wow.
- 26:17It was gonna, I was calling it double Des Moines.
- 26:22It was a part of-
- 26:22Sorry, I'm emotional.
- 26:23I know, I know.
- 26:25It's okay, take whatever time you need.
- 26:28But I don't understand how this could happen.
- 26:30This is the safest technology there is.
- 26:33I, if you can't strap what amounts to a large basket underneath a dirigible, what is, what
- 26:44is the point?
- 26:45is anything safe
- 26:48no
- 26:51I don't feel like I don't know if I could ever travel again
- 26:54this was lauded as
- 26:57the safest invention since
- 27:00bread
- 27:02it was in the newspaper just last week
- 27:05I know
- 27:06not sliced bread that's dangerous
- 27:09I mean it's a good invention but
- 27:11it's dangerous
- 27:12bread cuts it's happening all over the country
- 27:16Bread cuts.
- 27:17Yeah.
- 27:17Yeah.
- 27:18I just wonder, I can't, I wonder how President Kennedy is going to address this.
- 27:23Well, he always keeps his head cool.
- 27:28Yeah.
- 27:29He keeps his head.
- 27:31That was his slogan when he ran for President Kennedy.
- 27:36Why we all voted for him.
- 27:37I keep my head.
- 27:40Oh, thank God.
- 27:42Yeah, we'll be fine.
- 27:43He just needs to address the nation.
- 27:46Wow.
- 27:47One of his trademark fireside chats.
- 27:52Yes, with his wooden teeth.
- 27:56Good old wooden toothed Kennedy.
- 28:00God, I can't believe.
- 28:04God, was it?
- 28:05I think it exploded midair.
- 28:10In the safe, safe air?
- 28:12Wait, wait, no, no, this just in.
- 28:13Oh.
- 28:14This just in.
- 28:16It caught on fire during its landing.
- 28:22Oh my gosh.
- 28:23Oh.
- 28:23Those poor people.
- 28:25I know.
- 28:25Here they were, they were like, oh, they were getting their bags out of the overhead bin.
- 28:29They were like, oh, thank God they turned their phones off of blimp mode.
- 28:34And to have to die in New Jersey of all places.
- 28:37Oh.
- 28:38That's the real tragedy.
- 28:39Moment of silence for Hoboken.
- 28:44And Trenton But not Jersey City No no rough rough day to be a blimp yeah i wonder if blimpy stock will fall
- 28:58oh my god i didn't even think of that i know this is too soon to start going into conspiracy theories
- 29:04but do you think subway had anything to do with this i mean they had their own sandwich and their
- 29:11own mode of transportation oh my god blimp blimps and blimpies i mean that was sweeping the nation
- 29:18well we need to be careful talking about this on air look no hey listeners i i want to be clear
- 29:23this is pure speculation the facts are not in i am not suggesting that i know anything for sure
- 29:29i do think it is worth keeping in mind it is but again i say we we can't be over here
- 29:37insinuating that subway is responsible for the
- 29:41no no no no no no no this is just
- 29:44this is you know this is like this is still raw for
- 29:49this is still raw this is just this is where my mind is
- 29:53going with the speculation and i listeners approach this
- 29:57with caution and with sound judgment
- 30:01do not light subways on fire
- 30:05okay as retribution for what happened you know i'm sure in 50 years when blimpy is still around
- 30:11we'll know that we were wrong about this god i know although we never take a quiznos anymore
- 30:20that mode of transportation quiznos or that sandwich shop true um
- 30:29so this could be the end nothing is sacred i know
- 30:35well god i mean is there any more news
- 30:40i hope not i don't know if i can handle it i know it's just usually i i found that big big news
- 30:48happens in threes god oh my heart yeah but maybe not today bad news guys no
- 30:56You know that ship that they were calling unsinkable?
- 31:01The one that Molly Brown wrote on?
- 31:02It made it safely ashore?
- 31:04Oh, yes, of course.
- 31:04Of course, yes.
- 31:07I hate to be the one to tell you this.
- 31:11It hit an iceberg.
- 31:13It sunk.
- 31:14Right ahead?
- 31:16Straight ahead.
- 31:17Straight ahead?
- 31:18I was supposed to be on that.
- 31:20Oh, don't get the survivor's guilt.
- 31:23That's right.
- 31:23You lost that.
- 31:25card game earlier today yes and you lost your ticket i lost my ticket oh and also i was in the
- 31:33wrong a young starting city but yes well but you had a hologram that was in the right starting i
- 31:40was gonna take i was gonna take a blimp to london and then take the ship to dublin yeah or belfast
- 31:50I can't remember
- 31:51I'm sure that
- 31:53I mean such a big ship
- 31:54I'm sure that everyone
- 31:55Was saved though
- 31:56Yeah I mean
- 31:57At least
- 31:57There was no way that they
- 31:59Didn't properly store
- 32:01Enough life vests
- 32:02And enough lifeboats
- 32:03So thank god for that
- 32:05Yes
- 32:05Guys
- 32:07I hate to be the one
- 32:09To tell you this
- 32:10No
- 32:11What?
- 32:13No
- 32:14The only one that made it out
- 32:16Was an old woman
- 32:17well it was molly wasn't of course it had to be well she's got that great nickname unsinkable
- 32:23i know yeah i you know what listeners out there uh start giving yourselves nicknames right now
- 32:32that's the only way to make it through this i'm gonna be start calling me
- 32:37not flammable jenna because i do not want to be like one of those hindenburg people
- 32:44Unsinkable, not flammable Jenna.
- 32:46Yeah.
- 32:46I'm unkillable Francis.
- 32:48Covers all bases.
- 32:50Yeah.
- 32:50Yeah.
- 32:51Well, at least she made it out.
- 32:52I know.
- 32:53Thank God.
- 32:54And probably all the lobsters.
- 32:58God.
- 32:59That were on board.
- 33:01Yeah, the lobsters, well, they had first class tickets.
- 33:05The rich always make it out.
- 33:07They do.
- 33:07They do.
- 33:09Wow.
- 33:09Wow.
- 33:10The Titanic.
- 33:11I.
- 33:12you gave me stock in the titanic i did for my birthday absolutely it was a real gift of the
- 33:18magi situation and he paid for it using the yields from his hindenburg stock
- 33:23well at least i'm sure that even though the titanic has sunk i bet you
- 33:33it's never going to lead to other people dying because they want to see it
- 33:38no thank goodness yeah guys no no you know that father and son that just wanted to reconnect
- 33:47america's sweet family america's sweet family so they went on that submarine to go look at the
- 33:56titanic and they got good pictures yeah it was a there was such a fast turnaround on that tourism
- 34:02business. I know.
- 34:04Yeah, they left not but five minutes ago.
- 34:07Oh, but they're
- 34:08fine, right? Yeah, they're okay. And they're bonded.
- 34:10They're slowly dying underwater.
- 34:13What? No.
- 34:14No.
- 34:15They were all that was keeping us going as a country.
- 34:18They were the glue that kept this country
- 34:20together. They were the
- 34:22helium.
- 34:24Oh, and the Titanic
- 34:26was the match.
- 34:27Oh, no. This is a hard day for
- 34:30news in America.
- 34:32Well, one thing's for sure.
- 34:36If you are having a child's birthday party, start using hydrogen in those balloons.
- 34:41They're going to have to.
- 34:42I know.
- 34:43God, Jenna, at least we can still smoke Marlboro Reds without worrying about our health.
- 34:51Thank God for that.
- 34:53I'm having one right now.
- 34:54I'm having two.
- 34:58Guys.
- 35:00Come on.
- 35:02I can't take any more
- 35:04I think we've gotta
- 35:05wrap it up
- 35:07it's not like one day no one will believe
- 35:10the news
- 35:11no god I hope not
- 35:14that was
- 35:16just in
- 35:17well I
- 35:21I don't even know if we should
- 35:24continue the podcast
- 35:25it's really hard for me to even breathe
- 35:27just try
- 35:29that's probably not
- 35:31You sound like that father and son trying to look at that Titanic.
- 35:34Oh, too soon.
- 35:35You're right.
- 35:36It happened but five minutes ago.
- 35:38Oh.
- 35:40Well.
- 35:41I'd still ride a blimp.
- 35:42You know what?
- 35:44Good for you.
- 35:45You know, they do say the safest time to fly in a blimp is right after a blimp accident.
- 35:49There can't be two.
- 35:50I know.
- 35:50What are the odds?
- 35:52You know what?
- 35:53Why don't we both board a blimp to the big question?
- 35:58Ooh.
- 35:58the question is very big okay um the big question are you ready for it i don't know
- 36:10i i i feel like that roller coaster that we just went on is kind of made me ready for
- 36:18almost anything i don't know i'm still feeling very raw i'm very like my feelings are really
- 36:25brittle right now be careful with them that's all i have to say i will always be careful with
- 36:29your feelings your feelings are special to me thank you and if you were ever in the middle of
- 36:35back pain and expressing it i'd never call it annoying okay well thank you i appreciate that
- 36:44yeah yeah so here's the big question okay you know how there's heist movies i do know how there's
- 36:51heist movies if you had to do a heist did you see the thing in the louvre the other day i did
- 36:57you know they're saying and by they i mean just random internet people yeah they're saying that
- 37:03like this is like a rich person's like request because you can't sell that stuff yeah i i know
- 37:11yeah who's gonna unless you like break it down so it's some like shysty billionaire like wanted
- 37:17this stuff. Did the Louvre get heisted?
- 37:20Oh yeah. Napoleon's Jewels.
- 37:23Napoleon's Jewels.
- 37:24That sounds made up.
- 37:26It sounds like an exclamation.
- 37:27Napoleon's Jewels!
- 37:31Yeah.
- 37:32It was like a good old
- 37:34fashioned heist. They sold
- 37:35like a lot of stuff.
- 37:38Yeah, like a lot of stuff.
- 37:40But then they dropped a crown in the street. Did you see that?
- 37:42Yeah.
- 37:43They're probably not going to get paid now.
- 37:46Oh, that was like the one thing.
- 37:48Yeah, it's just like in Gone with 60 Seconds.
- 37:49He brings the Shelby back all mangled.
- 37:52Gone with 60 seconds?
- 37:53What did I say?
- 37:54Gone with 60 seconds?
- 37:58Gone with the wind.
- 38:00Gone with the 60 seconds.
- 38:01Yeah, you know what I meant.
- 38:02Yeah.
- 38:03Anyway.
- 38:04It's like that movie, Get Out of Here Minute.
- 38:06so i need you to um
- 38:16build a heist team okay and tell me how you would um steal the mona lisa
- 38:27oh that's a tough one because she's got so much attention on her well it wasn't gonna make it easy
- 38:35for you this ain't no louvre that's okay hey me and my team we like a challenge yeah yeah okay
- 38:41um first things first i would uh hire or i would get i would get someone um who's really good at
- 38:50folding into tight spaces oh that more for fun i don't know if that's gonna come i would like to
- 38:58see that yeah mostly because i like i think it would be fun to have that kind of a person around
- 39:02Like, what if you're just, like, in the kitchen and you just, like, go in to get some tea out of the cabinet?
- 39:07And it's like, oh, he's in the cabinet.
- 39:08Oh.
- 39:09You need a morale booster.
- 39:10Yeah.
- 39:10It'd be fun.
- 39:11Just, like, as a way to just be like, Derek.
- 39:17That's good because most, like, we should all be more like that because most people who try to descend chimneys die in the chimneys.
- 39:23Really?
- 39:24Yeah.
- 39:25Does that happen a lot?
- 39:26It does.
- 39:27So we all need a little Derek in our lives.
- 39:29We do.
- 39:30Okay.
- 39:30So first I'd get a Derek.
- 39:31Okay.
- 39:32um then um there's like the really common like okay you'd think you're like oh i want a safe
- 39:41cracker or i want someone that's really good at surveillance technology or whatever no this is
- 39:46what i'm getting i'm getting mrs de millo's first grade class is that a teacher you had no
- 39:57it's not but i've been scouting oh okay and it just so happens mrs de millo's first grade class
- 40:06is gonna fit the bill perfectly okay okay the whole class the whole class it's got to be the
- 40:11whole class because you need the perfect field trip diversion it's a field trip diversion yep
- 40:17now some of the people in the class
- 40:22this is what's weird about her class this is why they're so perfect have been held back several
- 40:29years so they're still part of the class does that mean she's a bad teacher don't okay she's
- 40:35got a lot under plate okay okay teaching's hard all right she went through a move now she and her
- 40:39husband are getting divorced it's it's a whole thing well i know if they had a right distance
- 40:46relationship. They'd still be here.
- 40:48They'd still be together. But anyway,
- 40:51so you're too late for Mrs.
- 40:52DeMillo's marriage.
- 40:55Thank you very much.
- 40:56And we don't sell the divorcees, but go on.
- 40:58No. In fact, if you try
- 41:00and buy it, we charge you $10 more.
- 41:02Yes, that's how it works. Yes.
- 41:05Anyway, I get
- 41:06this gaggle of young kids.
- 41:09Luckily, the people that she's held back,
- 41:11it was
- 41:12so demoralizing
- 41:15for them, it stunted their growth. So they
- 41:16still look like first graders they still looks like six to seven year olds yeah but they're
- 41:22actually like 12 to 13 so they are capable of doing things that six to seven year olds are not
- 41:30so there's this big class right they're on a field trip they all have little backpacks i don't know
- 41:38if you know this about the mona lisa she looms large in her hearts but it's actually quite small
- 41:43tiny woman it's not a it's not a big she's a real derrick yeah yes exactly she's got bde big derrick
- 41:51energy anyway um so this class uh it's a regular field trip we're set mrs de mille is taking them
- 42:06to the louvre uh and this is like great field trip every parent's gonna sign off on this like
- 42:12yeah my kid gets to go to the louvre is that where mona lisa is yeah they're not having a good month
- 42:18i know well uh security at the louvre if you're listening and just turn this off i was wondering
- 42:26why when jenna said oh you're gonna make it hard for me with the mona lisa you're like yeah i'm
- 42:32not giving you a louvre well now you know i'm an idiot i'm so confused all right back to your
- 42:41teenagers yes yes so they're on their field trip it's a regular field trip right i'm there
- 42:51i so they the field trip that so they start to get to the area of the mona lisa
- 42:57right and so meanwhile the secret 12 to 13 year olds are doing some scouting
- 43:04i create some kind of aid i there also not with them i create some kind of diversion slash distraction something that they need to shut down the museum for the day Right
- 43:21Yeah.
- 43:24And so it's like, oh, no, everybody leave.
- 43:27Oh, Jenna just threw up everywhere.
- 43:33I gotta clean the whole place, everybody out.
- 43:36So then the kids are all really, like, sad,
- 43:39and they start crying.
- 43:42Right?
- 43:42Yeah.
- 43:43And the museum curator is like,
- 43:46No, little kids, don't cry.
- 43:51You will come back tomorrow, of course.
- 43:53You will get to see the Mona Lisa.
- 44:02You get to see the Mona Lisa.
- 44:04seeing those crying
- 44:08first grade teenagers really brings out
- 44:10his Italian heritage
- 44:11also the Bonalisa is Italian
- 44:14right it's always
- 44:15literally you are not allowed to curate
- 44:18art
- 44:20unless you are that nationality
- 44:22so
- 44:23yeah that's well known
- 44:25yeah
- 44:26so
- 44:27so the kids they calm
- 44:32down and
- 44:34the museum curator feels really guilty about all this especially because and you know and then i'm
- 44:40like i'm so sorry like i you know and then i make it seem like this was just like i feel terrible
- 44:44this is all my fault um let me come back tomorrow and i will i will buy these kids whatever they
- 44:52want from the gift shop and then the museum curator is like yeah yeah um so he's like of
- 44:58course yeah you can come back and uh mrs de mille is happy because she has her eyes on some things
- 45:02in that museum.
- 45:03As happy as she can be.
- 45:04Yeah, well, I know, under the circumstances.
- 45:06She wears a lot of brown.
- 45:08She's not a very, I know.
- 45:09Mrs. DeMillo.
- 45:10I know, a little frumpy.
- 45:11Yeah.
- 45:12Anyway, so the next day, the kids come back.
- 45:19They are now the museum curators there to welcome at the door, like,
- 45:23Oh, Mrs. DeMillo, bring your class.
- 45:25Bring, come on.
- 45:27Oh, bambinos.
- 45:28so then they're being ushered through and um
- 45:37as like he's bringing them through right uh they get they finally get to the mona lisa they're like
- 45:47oh wow mona lisa and then the museum curator is like telling them facts about you know oh she uh
- 45:54she's got a slight smile she always looks like she's looking at you um she's a tiny
- 46:00then the museum gift shop employee so at this point in time i'm in the gift shop
- 46:14and i've given them my credit card
- 46:18little do they know it's a bad credit card like i know that there's like no money on it
- 46:25so they i was like oh yeah don't worry go ahead pre-run this it'll it'll totally work
- 46:31it doesn't obviously and i say this is an outrage this i know this card is good as it's
- 46:38it's a platinum card it's titanium card even get the museum curator in here so then the museum
- 46:47curator well then the gift shop employee runs to get the museum curator and so mid tour he's
- 46:55gotta like come take care of this situation so then the little kids he's like little kids you
- 47:00wait here and uh so the little kids wait there the museum so i'm dealing with the museum curator
- 47:12this whole time right so and in the gift shop meanwhile the little kids with their tiny little
- 47:18nimble fingers they're also not suspected of anything because who suspects six to seven
- 47:22year olds of anything right nobody does right but these 12 to 13 year olds are wily they break
- 47:29into the glass they i mean i've already got a pretty good replica set up like giving them so
- 47:35they pull it out of their backpack they're allowed to have backpacks they're little kids
- 47:38other people can't get away with such a thing because you know no one suspects a little kid
- 47:43of trying to steal art because what are they going to do with it right right so then they put the
- 47:48replica in there um then they put the real one in one of their backpacks meanwhile the museum
- 47:56curator isn't there to see any of this he's with me so i also have an alibi now because the museum
- 48:02curator is like i was with her the whole time she didn't do it right but anyway let's jumping ahead
- 48:08so finally it all gets worked out the museum like i'm just like this is unbelievable i'm gonna have
- 48:15this place shut down you're treating me terribly and the museum curator is all flustered and it's
- 48:22taking a really long time and so finally miss de millo can't wait anymore so she comes with her
- 48:28class to the gift shop while the museum curator is still there so he can't even he hasn't even seen
- 48:32the mona lisa yet um and and because he's the curator he's the only one with the good eye that
- 48:37could actually notice it so then so the other people are walking by and they think they're just
- 48:43seeing oh look the mona lisa oh beautiful um and then so then mr millow's class comes by and i say
- 48:51kids this is an outrage i'm not gonna buy you anything in this this piece of crap louvre let's
- 48:57go get some gelato across the street instead and the kids are actually like very happy about that
- 49:02they'd rather have ice cream then and they're also in on it well no only the 12 to 13 year old
- 49:07The six to seven year olds are just living their little idiot lives.
- 49:13Oh, yeah.
- 49:13Okay.
- 49:14I'm there.
- 49:15Yeah.
- 49:17And yeah.
- 49:19And so then by that time, we're all successfully on my private blimp on our way out of there.
- 49:25Well, I'm on my private blimp.
- 49:27The 12 to 13 year old has given me the backpack.
- 49:31I trade him an exact backpack like the one he was wearing.
- 49:35Yeah.
- 49:35So that it doesn't look suspicious that he suddenly doesn't have a backpack.
- 49:38Yeah.
- 49:39People are none the wiser.
- 49:41And you let them live?
- 49:42Yeah, I let them live.
- 49:44Yeah.
- 49:45That's nice of you.
- 49:46Thank you.
- 49:46Yeah.
- 49:47Let them live.
- 49:48Ha ha!
- 49:48Yeah, let them live.
- 49:50Ha ha!
- 49:51Ha ha!
- 49:52I love it.
- 49:52Sugar crush.
- 49:53Sugar crush.
- 49:55Great plan.
- 49:56So, yeah.
- 49:58Nicely done.
- 49:58I've actually already done this.
- 49:59They haven't noticed that it's not the real Mona Lisa there.
- 50:02I'm surprised you didn't ruin the vision of the curator.
- 50:05if he's the only one who could see it well if i ruined his vision then he'd be like he'd be like
- 50:12why would she have done why would she have done that and then if someone then eventually figured
- 50:17it out he'd be like right when my vision was ruined oh you're right you're the you're the
- 50:23heist expert instead i'm just some asshole who demanded better service yeah and threatened to
- 50:29get the Louvre closed down. Yeah.
- 50:31Alright. I think
- 50:33you're my lady. You're my heist lady.
- 50:36Thank you.
- 50:38How would you do it?
- 50:39Or what kind of a team would you assemble?
- 50:43The museum
- 50:44curator.
- 50:46The museum janitor.
- 50:49The estate of Da Vinci.
- 50:52And we would
- 50:53just wait until the museum was closed
- 50:55and they would use their keys
- 50:56to get it out.
- 50:59That's not really a heist.
- 51:02That's just like having permission to do something.
- 51:05Hey.
- 51:07You're just mad because you didn't think to use the museum staff.
- 51:10Maybe Francis is only getting away with this because he already heisted the curator's heart.
- 51:16So he has him under his thumb.
- 51:19Now who's getting the discount?
- 51:20And then he says, ah, Francis, I cannot help but heist the Mona Lisa for you.
- 51:25we need a right distance relationship
- 51:30I have the code
- 51:33I can get us
- 51:33I don't know why I'm Italian too
- 51:34you take on the qualities of the person you're with
- 51:38yeah

- 52:11heights yeah it's a new way of saying heist
- 52:16yeah they'll never catch us now
- 52:19because they don't know the new word yeah i think my heist song would be that one
- 52:25is it called

- 53:15uh yeah did you say yours i did i said i said my secret word and my decoy word
- 53:23listeners in case you hadn't heard we're now doing decoy words if we have a fake secret word

- 53:40all right all right you want me to guess first yes was your word speculation
- 53:46no and it wasn't it it was not my decoy word i have oh i don't really want to say this next one
- 53:53because I'm worried it's a decoy.
- 53:55Ooh, I'm nervous.
- 53:56That's the whole point of the decoys.
- 53:57Oh boy, I'm nervous.
- 54:00Is it titanium?
- 54:04No, it's not my decoy word either.
- 54:06Okay, then it wasn't platinum either?

- 54:16Wow.
- 54:17Yeah.
- 54:18I said my feelings are brittle.
- 54:21Damn.
- 54:21Be careful with them.
- 54:22I will. Oh, I was so anxious to like protect your feelings. I didn't even notice.
- 54:27I appreciate that. I was counting on that. My decoy word. Yeah. I tried to say it awkwardly,
- 54:34but you didn't catch on. No. It was newcomers. I tried to kind of like force it in in a weird way.
- 54:41I was like, because so we get this technology out first. So any newcomers to the scene.
- 54:47that was your decoy that was my decoy i'm glad i didn't pick up on it
- 54:53god i thought you were going to because it was real awkward there was not a real there was no

- 56:03Multiple times.
- 56:05But I don't think there's anything for saying the decoy word.
- 56:08It's only guessing the decoy word.
