Speaker 1: Close your eyes and make yourself comfortable. Take a deep
• 0:25
breath in through your nose and slowly and gently breathe
• 0:32
out through your mouth. Again, take a deep breath in
• 0:40
through your nose and slowly and gently breathe out through
• 0:47
your mouth. One more time, Take a deep breath in
• 0:55
through your nose and slowly and gently breathe out through
• 1:02
  your mouth.
• 1:05
Speaker 2: Just relax. Now, imagine that your body feels all floppy
• 1:12
and loose, but very very relaxed. And imagine all of
• 1:18
your body feeling exactly the same way, all floppy and loose,
• 1:26
and you're so relaxed, and you feel so happy right now.
• 1:34
So imagine that you have roots growing out from the
• 1:38
soles of your feet, roots that look just like the
• 1:42
roots of a tree, very long and very wobbly and nobly.
• 1:49
And if you listen carefully, you can hear your roots
• 1:52
growing through the ground. You can hear them as they
• 1:56
push their way through the soft soil, and it tickles
• 1:59
just little bit. Can you feel it? Can you feel
• 2:04
the soil under your feet? Now, imagine that you see
• 2:11
a beautiful white light surrounding your whole body, a light
• 2:16
so bright that you shine much brighter than the brighter star,
• 2:24
and you can see and fear your body filled with
• 2:27
the light and the warmth. You can see and feel
• 2:33
your heart filled with love and light for all beings, people, animals, plants,
• 2:41
for all life. And this beautiful, pure white light is
• 2:47
protecting you always. It's like having your very own force field.
• 2:55
Now I'm going to tell you a little story, and
• 3:00
it begins. The lion was asleep under a tree in
• 3:05
a beautiful jungle, and he wakes up to find something
• 3:09
moving around him, and he gives a big roar and says,
• 3:12
what is this? He holds up a little mouse in
• 3:16
his big paw, and the lion says to the little mouse,
• 3:22
because she woke me up, I will make a nice
• 3:25
little smack out of you. The little mouse trembles because
• 3:30
he really doesn't want to be eaten. The little mouse
• 3:34
says to the mighty lion, Oh, please, please don't eat me.
• 3:39
Someday I may be able to help you. If you
• 3:41
eat me, then I won't be able to help you
• 3:43
if you need it. The mighty lion laughed at the
• 3:47
little mouse. How could a little mouse ever help a great,
• 3:52
big lion like me? The little mouse said, I don't know,
• 3:57
but please please don't eat me. The mighty lion looked
• 4:03
at the little mouse and thought, for a moment, okay,
• 4:07
little mouse, because you made me laugh, I won't eat you.
• 4:11
I will let you go. Oh thank you, thank you,
• 4:15
thank you, said the little mouse. I won't forget what
• 4:19
you've done for me, and someday I will help you,
• 4:22
I promise. The little mouse scampered off. The mighty lion
• 4:28
laughed again and said that little mouse could never help
• 4:32
anyone here is far too small. A week later, the
• 4:39
mighty lion found himself trapped under the same tree. He
• 4:44
was tied up so badly that he could not break free.
• 4:47
I can't get away, he said to himself. I'm trapped
• 4:51
and I don't know how to free myself. Just then
• 4:57
he heard a sound. He heard the words, sh do
• 5:02
you remember me? Who said that? The lion roared, it's me.
• 5:07
The little mouse came the reply, you didn't eat me,
• 5:11
and I said that I would help you in return
• 5:13
if you ever needed it. Yes, I remember you, the
• 5:17
lion replied. But there is no way anyone can help
• 5:21
me now. I am trapped. Sh please stay still, said
• 5:28
the little mouse. I can't help you. I can get
• 5:32
you out of the trap before the hunters come back.
• 5:34
You must stay quiet. How can you help me, said
• 5:37
the lion. Please be quiet, said the little mouse. I
• 5:41
can chew the ropes around you and I will set
• 5:43
you free, but please you must stay quiet. The little
• 5:48
mouse chews through the ropes until they break free and
• 5:52
fall away from the mighty lion. You are free now,
• 5:56
said the little mouse. The mighty lion looked down at
• 6:01
the little mouse and said, you were right. You did
• 6:04
help me. You set me free, and I am very
• 6:08
grateful to you for that. The mighty lion looked at
• 6:13
the little mouse one more time and said, even a
• 6:17
little mouse can be a good friend to a mighty
• 6:19
lion like me. And I am so happy that I
• 6:23
didn't eat you, so am I said the little mouse.
• 6:29
The mighty lion ran off into the jungle, and he
• 6:34
ran so that the hunters couldn't find him anywhere, and
• 6:38
the little mouse scurried off into the undergrowth. Maybe one
• 6:43
day they may meet again. So you see, it really
• 6:48
is a good thing to help others, whether they are
• 6:52
big lions or your friends, because one day you may
• 6:57
need their help too. But really it's a good thing
• 7:02
to help others, just because you can. But now it's
• 7:07
time for you to get some sleep. And your eyes
• 7:11
are beginning to feel heavy, and your eyelids are beginning
• 7:15
to droop, but your body feels so peaceful, so relaxed,
• 7:22
so calm, and so very very heavy. You feel very
• 7:28
sleepy now too, and you can feel a gentle wave
• 7:33
of sleepiness starting at your feet. You can feel your
• 7:39
toes going to sleep, and it feels all warm and
• 7:42
tingling and ever so soft. And you feel a soothing,
• 7:49
gentle wave of sleepiness coming up your calves and your shins.
• 7:55
You can feel it going up your thighs, and you
• 7:58
think your legs have already gone to sleep. You feel
• 8:02
very tired now, so sleepy, but so happy, and your
• 8:07
eyes well, they just don't want to open up at all.
• 8:13
The beautiful wave of sleepiness travels all the way up
• 8:17
your body and down your arms and into your hands,
• 8:22
making your body feel very very heavy, very very tired,
• 8:29
and very very sleepy. And this gentle, warm wave of
• 8:36
sleepiness travels up your face and over the top of
• 8:40
your head, down the back of your neck, and you
• 8:44
feel so tired now, so sleepy, and you feel all
• 8:51
nice and warm and snuggly under your beautiful soft quilt
• 8:57
and very fluffy squidgy pillows. So just have a little
