- 0:58Speaker 3: That is the Cowboy Maloney's text line. Let me go
- 0:59Speaker 3: back to this, excuse me, this owner.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Was it the owner of the 49ers?
- 1:06Speaker 3: Why, how many, we've seen several cases of these now
- 1:09Speaker 3: over the years. Excuse me, these well-off, well-to-do owners dabbling in,
- 1:16Speaker 3: Getting popped with prostitution.
- 1:19Speaker 4: Do they really have to do this? Does that make sense? Like,
- 1:22Speaker 4: you're loaded.
- 1:23Speaker 3: You sit in the castle of sorts of the organization.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Why are you getting in trouble for that?
- 1:30Speaker 4: Does that make sense? Why? Do we know why? I mean,
- 1:35Speaker 4: you would think.
- 1:35Speaker 3: They could actually technically get anything they want, in quotes.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Why would they have to go get arrested in a
- 1:42Speaker 3: mugshot for hanging out with the commoners out there?
- 1:46Speaker 4: It makes no sense to me. Oh, mercy.
- 1:50Speaker 3: So Lane Kiffin has taken a beating publicly over all
- 1:56Speaker 3: of this stuff going on with adding players back. LSU's
- 1:59Speaker 3: Lane Kiffin on the Tigers adding former NFL tight end
- 2:03Speaker 3: Daquan Wright. Quote, they're either going to play for you
- 2:06Speaker 3: or they're going to play for someone else around the country.
- 2:08Speaker 4: Is he correct in this?
- 2:09Speaker 3: Like, hey, somebody's going to get them and it might
- 2:12Speaker 3: as well be us, right? And I think he's probably right.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Here's the thing. Lane Kiffin doesn't care. And we know that.
- 2:21Speaker 3: And if he can get two more pieces and fit
- 2:24Speaker 3: them in the puzzle, even if they're not contributing week
- 2:27Speaker 3: one against Clemson, and they may contribute. He's trying to
- 2:32Speaker 3: win now. Have you noticed some of his pictures? He
- 2:35Speaker 3: looks older at LSU. Have you seen this? Like, look
- 2:37Speaker 3: at this photo here of Lane Kiffin. Does he not
- 2:40Speaker 3: like his age since he's got down there?
- 2:43Speaker 4: Yeah, the way that picture looks... I got to think
- 2:47Speaker 4: that's to do with the. The artwork of the photo.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:53Speaker 5: Because he looks way older in that. I think, yeah,
- 2:55Speaker 5: that that's I think that's to do with the artwork
- 2:58Speaker 5: because we were told, oh, we how ridiculous has this
- 3:01Speaker 5: story been that we were we were told so much
- 3:05Speaker 5: about this that it went into telling us about yoga
- 3:10Speaker 5: and showing us pictures of a shirtless Lane Kiffin.
- 3:13Speaker 4: When you think about that, that's pathetic.
- 3:16Speaker 5: But this ties into, so I definitely don't believe that
- 3:20Speaker 5: picture that he looks 20 years older because we were
- 3:22Speaker 5: told that he's this young, oh, yoga saved my life guy.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:28Speaker 4: No, I'm with you on that.
- 3:30Speaker 3: So Ryan Day has sounded off on this whole deal.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Ohio State's Ryan Day on NFL players returning to college. Quote,
- 3:38Speaker 3: if there are teams that have some players out there
- 3:40Speaker 3: who were cut from NFL rosters and that are going
- 3:43Speaker 3: to be on other teams. We have to at least
- 3:45Speaker 3: consider it and look at it ourselves. Do I, do
- 3:49Speaker 3: I like anything about it? He said, uh, absolutely not,
- 3:53Speaker 3: but we've got to do what's right for Ohio state.
- 3:55Speaker 3: I like the way these, I mean, they're not wrong,
- 3:57Speaker 3: but they're now coaches are turning it on themselves. Like, Hey, look,
- 4:01Speaker 3: somebody is going to take them. We've got to look
- 4:03Speaker 3: out for our best interest, which means we're going to
- 4:05Speaker 3: go get them. Now, Dan Lanning had a little bit
- 4:07Speaker 3: different take on this head football, head football coach at Oregon.
- 4:11Speaker 3: He said, uh, quote, you're a professional now, once you
- 4:15Speaker 3: declare for the draft, so to let any of those
- 4:18Speaker 3: players come back, fair or unfair to them, it's unfair
- 4:21Speaker 3: to the sport, and I think it's unfair to the
- 4:23Speaker 3: players that are on current teams for those guys to
- 4:26Speaker 3: be coming back.
- 4:28Speaker 4: And I would agree with that. I would agree with
- 4:30Speaker 4: that wholeheartedly. Let's see here.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Miko, looks like Lane has been drinking quite a bit
- 4:36Speaker 3: from the recent photos. Yeah, and it could be. Kiffin
- 4:40Speaker 3: could be getting back out on that. Florida has named
- 4:43Speaker 3: Georgia Tech transfer quarterback Aaron Filo as its starting quarterback.
- 4:48Speaker 4: And that was expected.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Also, South Florida has named LSU transfer quarterback Michael Van
- 4:55Speaker 3: Buren as its starting quarterback.
- 4:57Speaker 4: You remember where Van Buren started? Mississippi State.
- 5:01Speaker 3: From Mississippi State to LSU, now to South Florida, he
- 5:04Speaker 3: is the starting quarterback for the Bulls of South Florida. Also,
- 5:08Speaker 3: Arkansas has named KJ Jackson. their starting quarterback. So KJ
- 5:12Speaker 3: Jackson will be the starting quarterback. A lot of people
- 5:14Speaker 3: felt like that would be the case. And let's see here. Also,
- 5:21Speaker 3: Nebraska has named UNLV transfer Anthony Calandria, their starting quarterback,
- 5:29Speaker 3: courtesy of Matt Rule. So people naming starting quarterbacks left
- 5:31Speaker 3: and right. Alabama has named Keylon Russell, their starting quarterback.
- 5:35Speaker 3: He was a five-star. And the Patriots are sending wide
- 5:38Speaker 3: receiver Kayshaun Booty, to the Texans in exchange for a
- 5:42Speaker 3: safety Jalen Reed and a 2028 7th round.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Pick, courtesy of Tom Pellicero.
- 5:49Speaker 3: And I want to get into some ticket prices, courtesy
- 5:53Speaker 3: of the NFL. 601-885-3776, that is the Cowboy Maloney's text line.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Cowboy Maloney's, 13 locations around the state, online at CowboyMaloneys.com.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Who do you think has the most expensive ticket in
- 6:02Speaker 3: the NFL right now?
- 6:03Speaker 4: If you had to guess.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yeah, like if me and you were going to just
- 6:07Speaker 3: jump in the Fista, and take off to an NFL
- 6:09Speaker 3: game in less than two weeks, who has the most
- 6:12Speaker 3: expensive ticket?
- 6:15Speaker 5: It kind of makes me think that it would be
- 6:19Speaker 5: the most highly valued.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Team, the Cowboys.
- 6:23Speaker 3: They are not in the top 10, which is crazy.
- 6:26Speaker 3: I would have said Cowboys, too, if I didn't have
- 6:27Speaker 3: this list in front of me. The Buffalo Bills, average
- 6:31Speaker 3: ticket price is $ 610. Well, you got to pay for
- 6:34Speaker 3: that new stadium. Eagles, number two, at $ 473. These are
- 6:39Speaker 3: average ticket prices for the 2026 season.
- 6:40Speaker 4: The Bears, $ 472.
- 6:41Speaker 3: The Packers, $ 455. The Seahawks at number five, $ 428. The
- 6:43Speaker 3: Lions at $ 425.
- 6:44Speaker 4: The Broncos at $ 389. The Raiders at $ 368. We can
- 6:45Speaker 4: go see your 49ers for $ 367 a pop. And the....
- 7:06Speaker 3: The Patriots at $ 364 per pop. Isn't that crazy? So
- 7:11Speaker 3: like if four people wanted to go see the bills,
- 7:16Speaker 3: taxes and all, you're looking at three grand.
- 7:19Speaker 4: That's to get in the gate. It's not parking.
- 7:21Speaker 3: That's not food. That's not lodging. That's three grand to
- 7:25Speaker 3: walk in the door. You know, I can remember when
- 7:28Speaker 3: NFL tickets were like a hundred bucks, $ 75. You remember
- 7:33Speaker 3: those days? I mean, colleges used to be $ 25, and
- 7:38Speaker 3: now we're talking about $ 610 for the Buffalo Bills and
- 7:45Speaker 3: everything they're putting out there. All right, let's see here.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Former NFL running back Anthony Hankerson plans to enter the
- 7:53Speaker 3: transfer portal. Hankerson played at Colorado and at Oregon State,
- 7:57Speaker 3: and he was in camp with the Dolphins. I mean,
- 8:01Speaker 3: my God, you can't make that roster and you think
- 8:03Speaker 3: you're going to come back to college? You can't make
- 8:05Speaker 3: the Dolphins roster and you're coming back to college. Let's
- 8:08Speaker 3: see here. Also, SEC presidents and athletics directors will convene
- 8:14Speaker 3: in Birmingham on Tuesday for a two-day meeting scheduled weeks ago,
- 8:18Speaker 3: centering on the exploration of a conference-only governance model. The
- 8:23Speaker 3: focus for now is on self-governance and not a competitive breakaway.
- 8:28Speaker 4: I don't believe that for one second.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Second, I mean, if the ADs and presidents are convening,
- 8:35Speaker 3: if they're all meeting tomorrow in Birmingham for two days
- 8:39Speaker 3: and it's been scheduled, they're talking about self-governance. Don't you
- 8:43Speaker 3: think the breakaway is going to be talked about? They're
- 8:45Speaker 3: tired of this. They're tired of this. They're going to
- 8:49Speaker 3: talk governance, which means, hey, how do we police our
- 8:53Speaker 3: own conference?
- 8:55Speaker 4: But the breakaway will be talked about.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Also, Matt Zenich reporting LSU is expected to add former
- 9:02Speaker 3: New Orleans Saints and Ex-Ole Miss star defensive lineman Zabion
- 9:06Speaker 3: Harris and a couple more as well. The Seahawks plan
- 9:12Speaker 3: to wave running back Anthony Hankerson, and he is going
- 9:15Speaker 3: to hit the transfer portal. This is just insanity. Absolute insanity.
- 9:22Speaker 3: And just looking at some of these reports of these guys.
- 9:26Speaker 4: And look, we're not done. We're not done.
- 9:28Speaker 3: It'll be interesting to see how many guys actually, when
- 9:31Speaker 3: the Raiders cut wide receiver Noah Brown, I don't know
- 9:34Speaker 3: if he was a rookie or not, but if he was,
- 9:37Speaker 3: he'll be out there as well. Also, Alabama's NIL entity,
- 9:42Speaker 3: Yay Alabama, announced Monday that freshman safety Jariah Edwards suffered
- 9:46Speaker 3: an arm injury today and will undergo surgery, but it's
- 9:50Speaker 3: expected to return this season. You know what I find
- 9:52Speaker 3: funny about that? We're getting an Alabama injury report from
- 9:56Speaker 3: their NIL entity, Yay Alabama. We're brought to you by
- 9:59Speaker 3: Live Oaks. Go to liveoaksgc.com. Play some golf. Get you
- 10:02Speaker 3: a membership. Roosevelt's grand opening this week. Get out and enjoy.

- 10:12Speaker 4: Back in a moment.
- 10:15Speaker 1: We got that and a whole lot more around here.

- 11:15Speaker 3: Gutter Masters, 601-503-7755. We'll have Chris Landry coming up at
- 11:21Speaker 3: the top of our number three as we'll go 30
- 11:23Speaker 3: minutes with Chris Landry. Rebel Grave on the Cabo Maloney's
- 11:26Speaker 3: text line. What's going to be crazy is when a
- 11:27Speaker 3: player that came back to college from the NFL gets
- 11:31Speaker 3: a call back from the NFL. needing them to come back. Yeah,
- 11:36Speaker 3: there's a lot of questions with all of this. Can
- 11:39Speaker 3: they reenter the draft?
- 11:41Speaker 4: I don't know. The whole thing is just absolutely, absolutely crazy.
- 11:46Speaker 4: All right.
- 11:48Speaker 3: I know we're just getting started with the season. Week
- 11:50Speaker 3: zero is this week. But there's going to be a
- 11:53Speaker 3: lot of coaches on the hot seat. And there could
- 11:57Speaker 3: be a lot of coaches looking for jobs and a
- 12:01Speaker 3: lot of teams trying to fill you know, positions. Ross
- 12:05Speaker 3: Dellinger reporting on this today said at this time last year,
- 12:07Speaker 3: the experts predicted quite a busy coaching carousel, but even
- 12:10Speaker 3: the most aggressive prognosticators couldn't have seen the onslaught of
- 12:14Speaker 3: the 2025 hiring cycle. More than 30 FBS coaches, coaching
- 12:19Speaker 3: trends that, uh, transitions, including 17 in the power leagues
- 12:24Speaker 3: who had Brian Kelly, LSU, James Franklin, Penn state and
- 12:27Speaker 3: Sharon Moore, Michigan, all getting fired or that Kyle Whittingham
- 12:31Speaker 3: would be pushed aside at Utah and and then land
- 12:33Speaker 3: in Ann Arbor. Or that Michigan State would replace Jonathan
- 12:37Speaker 3: Smith after year two for Pat Fitzgerald. Says, don't expect
- 12:41Speaker 3: this year to be as action-packed. However, we've all learned
- 12:45Speaker 3: to expect the unexpected from the hiring and firing industry.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Dellinger says, our annual coaching hot seat list is assembled
- 12:53Speaker 3: through conversions with those in the college administrative area, search firms,
- 12:59Speaker 3: and the agent world.
- 13:00Speaker 4: It's not our opinion. It's not subjective.
- 13:03Speaker 3: It relies on the expertise and knowledge from industry insiders,
- 13:07Speaker 3: some of whom are already positioning themselves for a search
- 13:10Speaker 3: or expecting one at a particular school. Every cycle has
- 13:16Speaker 3: a blue blood gag or two that, if open, could
- 13:19Speaker 3: create a domino effect of movement. There are two, notably
- 13:24Speaker 3: this year. The two, notably, are USC and Florida State.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Lincoln Riley at USC said, Mike Norvell at Florida State.
- 13:34Speaker 3: There are eight other Power League jobs on that list, too,
- 13:37Speaker 3: and there are plenty of candidates ready to take their place.
- 13:40Speaker 3: The pool of Power Conference coordinators remains a bit shallow,
- 13:43Speaker 3: according to industry stakeholders. In fact, in this world of
- 13:47Speaker 3: athlete revenue sharing, administrators continue to prefer to hire a
- 13:51Speaker 3: proven head coach who's managed the finances of a roster,
- 13:56Speaker 3: even those at the group.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Of six level.
- 13:59Speaker 3: Some of those expected to attract attention this coming up
- 14:02Speaker 3: year are, in no particular order, Dan Mullen at UNLV,
- 14:06Speaker 3: Jason Eck, New Mexico, Sean Lewis, San Diego State, Jason Kendall, UConn,
- 14:14Speaker 3: Lance Taylor, Western Michigan, Matt Entz, Fresno State, or Fresno now,
- 14:21Speaker 3: Ricky Rain, Old Dominion, Jeff Monken, Army, Tyson Helton at
- 14:25Speaker 3: Western Kentucky, and G.J. Kinney, Texas State. There are plenty
- 14:31Speaker 3: of accomplished high-level coordinators, too. Several are expected to receive
- 14:34Speaker 3: attention for gigs in the SEC, Big Ten, ACC, and
- 14:38Speaker 3: Big 12, including Kane Womack, Alabama, Arthur Smith, Ohio State,
- 14:43Speaker 3: Blake Baker, LSU, Buster Faulkner at Florida, Matt Patricia, Ohio State,
- 14:49Speaker 3: Charlie Weiss Jr., LSU, Glenn Schwammen, Georgia, Cade Bell at Pittsburgh,
- 14:57Speaker 3: Andy Kotel Nikki at Kansas and Mike Denbrock at Notre Dame,
- 15:02Speaker 3: along with Shannon Dawson at Miami, Mike Shanahan at Indiana,
- 15:05Speaker 3: and Sheil Wood at Texas Tech. But the head coach
- 15:10Speaker 3: trend is real. Of the 17 power jobs in the
- 15:13Speaker 3: last cycle, 11 of them were filled by a group
- 15:15Speaker 3: of six or sitting power league coaches. Five were power
- 15:19Speaker 3: league coordinators, and one was from the NFL. Quote, head
- 15:23Speaker 3: coach experience is at a premium, said one stakeholder. The
- 15:26Speaker 3: big question with a lot of these jobs is, is
- 15:30Speaker 3: if you fire your guy, do you have a better
- 15:32Speaker 3: one lined up?
- 15:33Speaker 4: It's not necessarily a good pull.
- 15:36Speaker 3: It says, making matters more difficult in a recent trend
- 15:40Speaker 3: that many expect to continue. Coaches like Rhett Lashley, Kurt Cignetti,
- 15:45Speaker 3: both spurned interest from Blue Blood programs to remain at
- 15:48Speaker 3: SMU in Indiana this past year. The unlimited player movement
- 15:51Speaker 3: and compensation made gigs outside of the elite more attractive.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Recruiting great players is no longer contingent on a historic
- 16:00Speaker 3: success or big brand value. So when you start looking
- 16:04Speaker 3: at the list, Mike Norvell is at the top of
- 16:07Speaker 3: this list, Florida State. His buyout right now is $ 45
- 16:10Speaker 3: to $ 50 million. $ 45 or $ 50 million at Florida State.
- 16:16Speaker 3: School administrators thought long and hard about dismissing Norvell last season,
- 16:21Speaker 3: a 5-7 campaign that followed a 2-10 debacle in 2024.
- 16:25Speaker 3: after having a fantastic 2023. The fan uprising was loud
- 16:30Speaker 3: enough that the administration released a statement in support of Norvell.
- 16:34Speaker 3: But let's be real, much of that support is derived
- 16:36Speaker 3: from the cost of such a move. FSU recently spent
- 16:40Speaker 3: $ 400 million on facility renovations. The buyout at the time
- 16:44Speaker 3: was more than $ 50 million as part of a contract
- 16:46Speaker 3: he signed after Alabama flirted with him following a 13-1
- 16:49Speaker 3: season in 2023.
- 16:50Speaker 4: And remember that.
- 16:51Speaker 5: They did.
- 16:51Speaker 4: They went.
- 16:55Speaker 2: 13-1.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Nick Saban was leaving. Mike Norvell was at the top
- 17:01Speaker 3: of that list, or at least perceived to be at
- 17:03Speaker 3: the top of the list. Kalen DeBoer was the choice.
- 17:07Speaker 3: And here we are. So they gave him an extension
- 17:10Speaker 3: and a bonus. Says the schedule isn't easy. A very
- 17:14Speaker 3: big game looms on September 7th as the Noles host SMU.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Two weeks later, they travel to Alabama. And there's a
- 17:22Speaker 3: trip to national reigning runner-up Miami in October. So there's
- 17:26Speaker 3: a lot on the line for Mike Norvell. And again,
- 17:30Speaker 3: if they lose week one against SMU, that seat's going
- 17:34Speaker 3: to flame up. And they very well could, by the way.
- 17:38Speaker 3: SMU is a better coach team. I think they're equally
- 17:42Speaker 3: as talented. And I wouldn't be surprised if I'm picking today,
- 17:45Speaker 3: I'm probably picking SMU. They're not going to travel to
- 17:49Speaker 3: Alabama and win that game. they very well could start
- 17:52Speaker 3: out one and two. If they do, that may be
- 17:55Speaker 3: it for him. Literally, three weeks into the season. Luke
- 17:59Speaker 3: Fickle at Wisconsin has a buyout of $ 20 to $ 22 million.
- 18:04Speaker 3: He did wonders at Cincinnati, but he's never gotten it
- 18:08Speaker 3: going in Madison. In part because the university didn't jump
- 18:12Speaker 3: into NIL with both feet. Wisconsin administrator's have acknowledged the
- 18:16Speaker 3: fact that last year they made the decision to invest
- 18:18Speaker 3: in the roster instead of paying Fickle's whopping buyout. Athletics
- 18:22Speaker 3: Director Chris McIntosh, the man who hired Fickle, left in
- 18:26Speaker 3: an unusual move to be Big Ten Commissioner Tony Petitti's deputy.
- 18:31Speaker 3: Former Nebraska and Miami Athletics Director Sean Ekorst is now
- 18:36Speaker 3: presiding over the department, and he'll soon have a difficult
- 18:40Speaker 3: decision if Fickle doesn't greatly improve on his 17-21 record.
- 18:45Speaker 3: We'll learn a lot about the Badgers early. They played
- 18:47Speaker 3: Notre Dame at Lambeau Field on September 6th, the Sunday
- 18:51Speaker 3: of opening weekend. So, you know, if we're, I'm going
- 18:56Speaker 3: to say it's more than a 50% chance that Mike
- 18:59Speaker 3: Norvell is out at Florida State because I just don't
- 19:02Speaker 3: think they're going to have the sauce. I don't think
- 19:05Speaker 3: they're going to have the sauce to make the burger
- 19:07Speaker 3: taste too well this year. Luke Fickle very well could
- 19:11Speaker 3: be out at Wisconsin. I'm going to say we're going
- 19:13Speaker 3: two for two with those two guys. As a matter
- 19:16Speaker 3: of fact, today, August 24th, I'm telling you, Mike Norvell
- 19:18Speaker 3: is not going to be at Florida State after this year,
- 19:20Speaker 3: and Luke Fickle will likely be out of Wisconsin.
- 19:24Speaker 4: Dave Aranda, Baylor. He has a $ 9 million to $ 10
- 19:28Speaker 4: million buyout.
- 19:30Speaker 3: On what seems like a perpetual hot seat for four
- 19:33Speaker 3: years now, Aranda is facing different kind of pressure this year.
- 19:36Speaker 3: He has a new boss who didn't hire him, Athletics
- 19:39Speaker 3: Director Doug McNamee. Similar to fickle, Aranda's stint in Waco
- 19:45Speaker 3: serves as another example of a universally slow-to-transition to NIL
- 19:51Speaker 3: and to the NIL world. It's caused a rollercoaster of
- 19:54Speaker 3: success and failure. Just look at the wins by year.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Dave Aranda, here's his wins by year at Baylor. 2, 12, 6, 3, 8, 5.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Up and down, or down and up. Down and up,
- 20:11Speaker 4: down and up.
- 20:12Speaker 3: This year, the Bears are, quote, brewing with confidence behind
- 20:16Speaker 3: new quarterback DJ Lagway. This is going to be so good.
- 20:21Speaker 3: DJ Lagway, a skater mats guy. The former highly ranked
- 20:26Speaker 3: Texas recruit who seems to have experienced a rebirth in
- 20:30Speaker 3: Waco after struggles in Florida. Now, how do we know
- 20:32Speaker 3: that he's experienced a rebirth? He hasn't played a down yet,
- 20:35Speaker 3: but I like the way they frame this up. Oh,
- 20:37Speaker 3: he's got a new birth. Dave Aranda even said Florida
- 20:41Speaker 3: kept him in a box. They put a straitjacket on him.
- 20:43Speaker 3: They didn't let him play. A big measuring stick comes early.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Auburn and Atlanta on the first full Saturday of college football.
- 20:52Speaker 3: So you've got Florida State taking on SMU. Now, you've
- 20:57Speaker 3: got your big boy games out there. LSU taking on
- 21:01Speaker 3: Clemson and some others. Obviously, big game Ole Miss-Louisville. Mississippi
- 21:05Speaker 3: State's home opener.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Yes, it's big. I know it's Monroe. But it is big.
- 21:11Speaker 3: That's a big game because if State comes out flat,
- 21:14Speaker 3: Jeff Lebby, I almost called him Jeff like I knew him.
- 21:19Speaker 3: That almost happened. But I don't know Jeff Lebby. Jeff
- 21:22Speaker 3: Lebby could be on that seat as well. We're brought
- 21:25Speaker 3: to you by Ranco Transmission, 1460 Old Brandon Road in Flowood, 601-939-9184.

- 23:35Speaker 3: They've been around since 1955. Let them help you today.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Chris Landrieu will join us in 30 minutes, talking all
- 23:41Speaker 3: things college and the NFL. Text us 601-885-3776. Unnamed texter,
- 23:47Speaker 3: just tuned into today's show. We thank you for that,
- 23:49Speaker 3: by the way. If three and only three SEC head coaches...
- 23:55Speaker 3: lose their jobs before the end of the season, who
- 23:57Speaker 3: do you think they will be?
- 23:58Speaker 4: All right, three. I got to give three here. All right.
- 24:03Speaker 4: Humor me here.
- 24:06Speaker 3: I got to give this text for three coaches that
- 24:10Speaker 3: could be fired before the end of the season.
- 24:15Speaker 4: These are all hypotheticals.
- 24:18Speaker 3: One, South Carolina's Shane Beamer.
- 24:22Speaker 4: It doesn't go well. You know, if you go look at.
- 24:28Speaker 3: South Carolina's football schedule this year, there's so much hype
- 24:31Speaker 3: around South Carolina again. Dark Horse this, Dark Horse that,
- 24:35Speaker 3: Lenore Sellers this, Lenore Sellers that. They play Kent State
- 24:40Speaker 3: to open the season, then they play Towson.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Or Towson. Is it Towson? That's the way we go
- 24:46Speaker 4: with it.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Presented by HendrixCars.com. All right, so they go to 2-0.
- 24:51Speaker 3: They face Mississippi State. Let's say the Bulldogs upset them.
- 24:55Speaker 3: They lose at Alabama. Let's say Kentucky dings them. And
- 24:58Speaker 3: then they go sliding at Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas A
- 25:02Speaker 3: & M. Yeah, this could get bad. So I'm going
- 25:04Speaker 3: to go Shane Beamer and a hypothetical three coaches that
- 25:07Speaker 3: could get fired in the SEC before the end of
- 25:10Speaker 3: the year. Second coach, Jeff Levy, Mississippi State. They go
- 25:16Speaker 3: to Minnesota week two. They lose a close ball game.
- 25:19Speaker 3: They go to South Carolina. They again lose a close
- 25:22Speaker 3: ball game. And then it starts to Roll downhill. The
- 25:27Speaker 3: third one is, man, it gets real dicey at that
- 25:30Speaker 3: point because Texas A & M isn't cutting their coach.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Oklahoma's not cutting out their coach. Florida just got a
- 25:40Speaker 3: new coach. Lane Kiffin's not going anywhere in year one.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Kirby Smart is safe. Arkansas with a new coach. You
- 25:48Speaker 3: would have to look at three places, I think. One,
- 25:54Speaker 3: It's Alabama and Kalen DeBoer. I know they just signed
- 25:57Speaker 3: a contract extension, but let's say this thing goes south
- 25:59Speaker 3: and they go seven and five. Would they fire him
- 26:03Speaker 3: over that? You're saying no, okay? Brent Venables just signed
- 26:08Speaker 3: a new contract. But what if it goes south in Norman?
- 26:13Speaker 3: Would they get rid of him? Or Josh Heupel at Tennessee?
- 26:21Speaker 3: It could go south for him. Out of those three,
- 26:24Speaker 3: I'm giving you three choices. If all three had down years,
- 26:28Speaker 3: if Bama, Oklahoma, and Tennessee all had down years relative
- 26:32Speaker 3: to expectations, all missed the playoffs, would any of those
- 26:37Speaker 3: three coaches get fired?
- 26:39Speaker 1: Heupel.
- 26:40Speaker 4: I think you're right. Because during the break, I was
- 26:44Speaker 4: looking at that.
- 26:46Speaker 5: And I don't think Heupel would get fired, but the
- 26:50Speaker 5: question— specifically States, three coaches.
- 26:54Speaker 4: Two were easy. I came up with Lebby and Beamer immediately.
- 26:57Speaker 4: I was with you on those.
- 26:59Speaker 5: If there was to be a third, I think it
- 27:01Speaker 5: would be between Hypel and Drinkwitz, I think would be
- 27:06Speaker 5: the most, would be the first. But I think Hypel
- 27:09Speaker 5: more so than Drinkwitz. Not that Hypel's been doing bad,
- 27:12Speaker 5: but we had.
- 27:13Speaker 4: To get three. We had to get three in there.
- 27:15Speaker 4: Had to throw three in there. And the Drinkwitz, I
- 27:19Speaker 4: think they're happy with him. I think.
- 27:22Speaker 3: But I'm not, that's one program I'm just so detached from.
- 27:25Speaker 3: I don't know if they're coming or going.
- 27:28Speaker 5: With Tennessee, and the reason for Hypo, the reason I'm
- 27:30Speaker 5: thinking Hypo is because it still feels like that one year, 2022,
- 27:35Speaker 5: 11 wins. It just feels like they're still chasing that.
- 27:40Speaker 5: And it doesn't feel like they're meeting that. I mean,
- 27:43Speaker 5: they've had a nine win season since then. I think
- 27:45Speaker 5: they won 10 since then, but. It just feels like
- 27:49Speaker 5: they can't get back to that last year, because I
- 27:51Speaker 5: think that was Hendon Hooker's last year, wasn't it?
- 27:54Speaker 4: Yes.
- 27:54Speaker 5: I don't... It just doesn't feel like they can get
- 27:57Speaker 5: back to that. So that's the only reason I would
- 27:59Speaker 5: have thrown Hypo on the list.
- 28:01Speaker 4: No, I would agree with that. Let me look at
- 28:05Speaker 4: something real quick.
- 28:08Speaker 3: Jason and Flagstaff, I believe that about Lagway and Baylor,
- 28:11Speaker 3: Billy Napier didn't get much out of Anthony Richardson either,
- 28:15Speaker 3: and Mullen... had that dude looking like Superman straight out
- 28:18Speaker 3: of the prompt. Jason, what football season did you watch?
- 28:22Speaker 3: Do you remember Anthony Richardson looking like Superman? He might've
- 28:25Speaker 3: looked like it getting off the bus. The one year
- 28:29Speaker 3: he played, he threw for 2,500 yards, a paltry 17
- 28:33Speaker 3: touchdowns and nine interceptions and rushing the football 654 yards.
- 28:40Speaker 3: And he was at Anthony Richardson really blew up at
- 28:44Speaker 3: the combine.
- 28:45Speaker 4: You remember that?
- 28:46Speaker 3: He really blew up at the combat. They were like,
- 28:48Speaker 3: he's a can't-miss guy. Can't-miss guy. Look at his vertical.
- 28:52Speaker 4: Look at his 40.
- 28:52Speaker 3: Look at how far he throws it. Look at his
- 28:55Speaker 3: shuttle time. That was Anthony Richardson. He only played in
- 28:59Speaker 3: 15 ballgames in college, I believe.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Let's see.
- 29:00Speaker 3: ResDog says, fire Levy today. So ResDog is ready to
- 29:03Speaker 3: get rid of Levy right now. CWR, if Levy is
- 29:06Speaker 3: fired midseason, does Arnett get the interim job?
- 29:09Speaker 4: Can you imagine? Would they do that? Would they make
- 29:13Speaker 4: him the interim coach again? Yeah, I believe they would.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Man wow yeah it's possible dog tired Florence who would
- 29:26Speaker 3: replace any one of those three who would I think
- 29:30Speaker 3: the list is you know we're going through a piece
- 29:32Speaker 3: by Ross Dellinger on what this coaching carousel could look
- 29:37Speaker 3: like and I know we're just getting to week zero,
- 29:39Speaker 3: but you have to think about this because coaches get
- 29:42Speaker 3: fired so much and they get fired so quickly. There's
- 29:48Speaker 3: a lot to what Ross Dellinger is saying here that
- 29:53Speaker 3: teams are hiring established coaches, even out of the group
- 29:56Speaker 3: of five that know how to handle the financing of
- 30:00Speaker 3: and management of rosters. And a lot of them are
- 30:03Speaker 3: coming out of the group of five. If you look,
- 30:05Speaker 3: two new SEC coaches, John Summerall, Tulane to Florida. And
- 30:11Speaker 3: then you look at Alex Golish, South Florida to Auburn.
- 30:18Speaker 3: I think there's several. And Ross Dell on your list
- 30:20Speaker 3: of them. Dan Mullen, UNLV. I don't know that he
- 30:22Speaker 3: comes back to Starville. Jason Eck, New Mexico. Sean Lewis,
- 30:25Speaker 3: San Diego State. And these don't sound like You know,
- 30:29Speaker 3: sexy jobs where guys are coming into the power fight,
- 30:31Speaker 3: but this is where people are going. Jason Candle, UConn.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Lance Taylor, Western Michigan. Matt Ince, Fresno. Ricky Rain, Old Dominion.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Jeff Monken, Army, which I don't believe he's leaving Army.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Tyson Helton, Western Kentucky.
- 30:47Speaker 4: G.J.
- 30:48Speaker 3: Kinney, Texas State. I think you've got to look at
- 30:49Speaker 3: places like that. R.T., now he lists outside and inside
- 30:55Speaker 3: the SEC. He's listing three teams that's going to be
- 30:58Speaker 3: looking for coaches. Texas, I don't believe that for one second.
- 31:01Speaker 4: Do you?
- 31:02Speaker 2: No.
- 31:04Speaker 4: Clemson, you think Clemson's looking? Maybe.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Well, this is already disqualified, though, because that texter asked
- 31:12Speaker 5: specifically for SEC.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Oh, okay. There were rules. We had to pick three coaches,
- 31:17Speaker 4: and they had to be SEC. That's true. That wasn't
- 31:20Speaker 4: the assignment, R.T., He fails just on missed protocol. He
- 31:24Speaker 4: does list Nebraska. Let's see. Rebel Godfather. Sark gets fired
- 31:28Speaker 4: for going 8-4. Would he? You don't think?
- 31:33Speaker 2: No.
- 31:35Speaker 4: I don't think they go 8-4.
- 31:36Speaker 3: I don't think Sark's in any danger this year. The
- 31:39Speaker 3: bottom would have to literally fall, which I guess 8-4
- 31:41Speaker 3: would be the bottom falling out.
- 31:43Speaker 4: Unnamed texter.
- 31:44Speaker 3: If Bama goes 7-5, there's no way DeBoer doesn't lose
- 31:46Speaker 3: his job. The fans will burn Tuscaloosa to the ground.
- 31:51Speaker 4: It'll get dicey. It'll get dicey for him. I think
- 31:53Speaker 4: the buyout saves him. The buyout's way too rich. The
- 31:57Speaker 4: buyout is very rich.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Dave Aranda, we talked about Dave Aranda, because I do
- 32:02Speaker 3: think Mike Norvell will be gone at Florida State. Luke
- 32:04Speaker 3: Fickle's out at Wisconsin after this year. Dave Aranda, I
- 32:11Speaker 3: think he's out. I don't see DJ Lagway saving that
- 32:15Speaker 3: job for him.
- 32:16Speaker 4: Do you?
- 32:16Speaker 5: No.
- 32:17Speaker 2: No.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Nothing, no, nothing about DJ Lagway says to me that
- 32:21Speaker 5: you're going to save this man's job. I know he wasn't, look,
- 32:25Speaker 5: he wasn't the sole reason Napier lost his job. I
- 32:28Speaker 5: didn't agree with Napier from the day he was hired,
- 32:30Speaker 5: but Lagway didn't do him any favors. So this could
- 32:33Speaker 5: be the second coach in a row. You know, what
- 32:35Speaker 5: was that old?
- 32:37Speaker 4: You got Croomed. Shula got Croomed.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Yep.
- 32:41Speaker 5: All that. Napier and then Aranda could potentially, you both
- 32:47Speaker 5: got Lagway'd.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:49Speaker 3: And, you know, when I'm thinking about this, for this
- 32:53Speaker 3: to happen for Baylor, he would have to totally turn
- 32:57Speaker 3: Lagway into what everybody expected him to be originally, which
- 33:01Speaker 3: was an all-world quarterback. Of all the transfer quarterbacks, most
- 33:07Speaker 3: of them have kind of been on par with what
- 33:11Speaker 3: they were. Here's what I mean. When Cam Ward came
- 33:14Speaker 3: out of Washington State, well, first he came from Incarnate Word.
- 33:18Speaker 3: He blew up at Incarnate Word. He went, boom, Washington State.
- 33:22Speaker 3: Had a really good two-year run at Washington State. Left
- 33:26Speaker 3: and went to Miami. Had a really good senior year
- 33:29Speaker 3: off to the NFL, and I know his NFL career
- 33:31Speaker 3: is in question. Carson Beck left Georgia after a nice
- 33:36Speaker 3: Georgia career, and he took Miami to the National Championship game.
- 33:41Speaker 3: You can go down this line, transfer guys. If you
- 33:44Speaker 3: bust at one school and you transfer to another school,
- 33:46Speaker 3: normally you bust at that school and you go to
- 33:48Speaker 3: a different school. It's either you're going across the board
- 33:55Speaker 3: where you were good, you transfer, you're good, or you're bad,
- 34:01Speaker 3: and then you continue to be bad. There's only one
- 34:05Speaker 3: quarterback that I can think of that was marginally And
- 34:11Speaker 3: transferred up or across, up meaning to a bigger school
- 34:15Speaker 3: or across to an equal platform.
- 34:19Speaker 4: And blew up.
- 34:20Speaker 3: Do you know who that guy was? One quarterback who
- 34:25Speaker 3: was very marginal and went, Fernando Mendoza. Did you know
- 34:32Speaker 3: who Fernando Mendoza was last year?
- 34:33Speaker 2: Nope.
- 34:34Speaker 4: Me either.
- 34:35Speaker 3: And nobody else did unless you were a Cal fan
- 34:39Speaker 3: or an Indiana fan.
- 34:40Speaker 4: And you did research. Nobody knew Mendoza. He's the one guy.
- 34:45Speaker 3: So, Aranda would have to have a Fernando Mendoza-like making
- 34:52Speaker 3: of DJ Lagway to go from average to great to
- 34:57Speaker 3: save his job. And I don't think that's going to happen.
- 34:58Speaker 3: We're brought to you by Mississippi Blood Services. Please give

- 35:16Speaker 1: That's entertaining.

- 35:20Speaker 1: Now we're talking. Live and local on ESPN 105.9 The
- 35:23Speaker 1: Zone and online at TheZone1059. com.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Taking you through your Monday brought to you by Clinton
- 36:02Speaker 3: Body Shop, 601-924-2159, OEM factory certified. All the manufacturers you
- 36:08Speaker 3: trust at Clinton Body Shop, also down in Richland, as
- 36:11Speaker 3: Chris Landry will join us in the next segment.
- 36:13Speaker 4: We've got a lot of texts.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Let me get caught up over here in the Cowboy
- 36:15Speaker 3: Maloney text line. Unnamed text for Charlie Weiss Jr. to
- 36:19Speaker 3: Florida State in seven months or less.
- 36:21Speaker 4: Charlie Weiss Jr.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Is definitely going to be one of these coaches, and
- 36:24Speaker 3: he's listed here by, and if you're just joining us,
- 36:27Speaker 3: we're talking coaching hot seat.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Yes, we are.
- 36:30Speaker 4: It is a thing.
- 36:31Speaker 3: There's a lot of coaches that could be on the
- 36:33Speaker 3: way out. Could definitely be on the way out. Charlie
- 36:36Speaker 3: Weiss Jr. is a guy who has made a name
- 36:39Speaker 3: for himself, obviously notably in Oxford. And if LSU has
- 36:43Speaker 3: a big year offensively, he'll get a lot of credit
- 36:45Speaker 3: for that. Unnamed texture. What happens to Lincoln Riley if
- 36:48Speaker 3: USC doesn't make the playoffs?
- 36:49Speaker 4: He may be gone. He is on this list. And again,
- 36:53Speaker 4: the coaching pendulum....
- 36:56Speaker 3: Or the triangle at the very top of the triangle
- 36:59Speaker 3: is two coaches this year. Mike Norvell, Florida State. Lincoln Riley, USC.
- 37:05Speaker 3: If those two pop off the top, then it's going
- 37:09Speaker 3: to create a ripple effect. Three hump camel. Just says
- 37:13Speaker 3: Bo Nix. What about Bo Nix?
- 37:18Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 37:19Speaker 4: That's right.
- 37:19Speaker 5: You were talking about quarterbacks who... were pretty much down
- 37:25Speaker 5: and then they transferred.
- 37:26Speaker 4: And just exploded.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 37:28Speaker 4: That's a great call there.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 37:30Speaker 3: I was talking about, because of DJ Legway, I could
- 37:32Speaker 3: only think of one quarterback in the transfer portal era. Typically,
- 37:36Speaker 3: if you're what you are at school, a is about
- 37:39Speaker 3: what you'll be at school B. If you're not real good,
- 37:41Speaker 3: you transfer and you're not going to be real good.
- 37:43Speaker 3: You rarely see a marginal go up. That's, that's, that's
- 37:46Speaker 3: a good recall. Bo Nix is absolutely one of those.
- 37:48Speaker 3: I said for Fernando Mendoza, Bo Nix did do that
- 37:51Speaker 3: because he went into Auburn and to Oregon. I rolled,
- 37:54Speaker 3: I talked to, but we talked about it here. I
- 37:55Speaker 3: was like, he's not going to do anything. And his
- 37:57Speaker 3: first game was against Georgia and he didn't do much.
- 38:00Speaker 3: But then after that, he did, he did do a lot.
- 38:05Speaker 3: So that's a great recall there by three hump camel
- 38:07Speaker 3: res dog. What's worse losing the crew and getting fired
- 38:12Speaker 3: or beating Levy and getting fired. Hmm. Did somebody beat
- 38:17Speaker 3: Levy and get fired? I don't remember that. Probably beating
- 38:24Speaker 3: Levy and getting fired.
- 38:25Speaker 4: CWR. If Aranda gets fired, he would be a top
- 38:28Speaker 4: five D.C.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Coordinator candidate if he wanted to move down to that spot.
- 38:32Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely. Yeah, he would get picked up in a heartbeat. Smitty. Mendoza.
- 38:38Speaker 4: What about Joe Burrow? Good recall. Good recall. Yes. Thank you.
- 38:46Speaker 4: And again, my brain doesn't fire Smitty all the time,
- 38:48Speaker 4: and you know that. Thank you.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Yes.
- 38:49Speaker 5: Yes.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Joe Burrow was a– now, this is– remember, I'm thinking
- 38:55Speaker 3: transfer portal 2021 forward. Joe Burrow did transfer from Ohio State,
- 39:02Speaker 3: and he was– we didn't know anything about him other
- 39:04Speaker 3: than he was a four-star quarterback out of the state
- 39:07Speaker 3: of Texas, went to Ohio State, or wherever he was from.
- 39:10Speaker 4: Is he from Texas?
- 39:13Speaker 5: Burrow?
- 39:15Speaker 4: Burrow's from– Maybe he's from Ohio. Okay, he's from Ohio. So, yes,
- 39:20Speaker 4: good call.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Luvier, marginal transfer who blew up Joe Burrow from Ohio
- 39:26Speaker 3: State to LSU and won the natty as a Heisman
- 39:28Speaker 3: just a few years before Mendoza.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Yes.
- 39:31Speaker 4: Y'all are helping us out here, helping me out here.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Unnamed texter. It was two.
- 39:36Speaker 3: Will Howard did it, too, and possibly Sanders. Will Howard
- 39:42Speaker 3: was pretty darn good, though, at Kansas State. I mean,
- 39:46Speaker 3: he had a really good run at Kansas State. Is
- 39:49Speaker 3: he talking about Shador? I mean, I guess you could
- 39:52Speaker 3: put Shador in there. He did get drafted. But, I mean,
- 39:56Speaker 3: what he was, I mean, he was good at Jackson State,
- 39:59Speaker 3: and he ended up being pretty good at Colorado. Dog-tired
- 40:01Speaker 3: Florence says Bo Nix blew up at Oregon. Opposite Jackson Arnold,
- 40:05Speaker 3: he flamed out at Oklahoma and Auburn, now battling for
- 40:07Speaker 3: a spot at UNLV.
- 40:09Speaker 4: Yes, he is.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Possum Neck Joe. I'm going to start some junk Jake
- 40:13Speaker 3: and Beave. Remember when Art Briles was fired over the
- 40:16Speaker 3: sexual misconduct allegations against Against team members, personally, I thought
- 40:20Speaker 3: Art Briles was railroaded. Supposedly, four coaches were aware of
- 40:25Speaker 3: the allegations. One of the four, Jeff Levy. But I think,
- 40:30Speaker 3: isn't Levy in that family somehow? So, yeah, I don't,
- 40:34Speaker 3: you know, I think that's been brought up. But I
- 40:37Speaker 3: don't know that there'll ever be any smoke on Jeff
- 40:38Speaker 3: Levy for that. And by the way, Art Briles is
- 40:40Speaker 3: back coaching in Division II here. The real unnamed texter.
- 40:44Speaker 3: Money talks louder. And sent a... Snapshot from Chris Lowe.
- 40:49Speaker 3: It's a lot of irony here. Harris ripped Kiffin after
- 40:52Speaker 3: the Sugar Bowl last year and told on three among
- 40:55Speaker 3: other things that Ole Miss saw, quote, how a real
- 40:57Speaker 3: head coach is supposed to be after Pete Golding took over.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Harris said Kiffin's departure felt like a, quote, slap in
- 41:03Speaker 3: the face and was especially upset upon hearing Kiffin was
- 41:07Speaker 3: interested in joining the ESPN broadcast during the game. Harris fumed, quote,
- 41:13Speaker 3: that's what Kiffin tried to do. He tried to be
- 41:15Speaker 3: a dang announcer. trying to be a troll. We are
- 41:19Speaker 3: going to troll him. We got something for him. He
- 41:23Speaker 3: was just trying to steal our shine. That's all he
- 41:26Speaker 3: tried to do. That's all he's been trying to do. And,
- 41:29Speaker 3: of course, now he's headed to LSU. Money talks, right?
- 41:34Speaker 4: Money talks.
- 41:35Speaker 5: Let's talk just basically how the man's garbage. But seven
- 41:40Speaker 5: months later, when I have failed in the NFL, I'm
- 41:44Speaker 5: going to go back to him.
- 41:45Speaker 4: Yeah, you stink. You suck. You're no good. Get out
- 41:48Speaker 4: of my face. How about $ 4 million? Okay, can we
- 41:50Speaker 4: be friends? There you go.
- 41:53Speaker 3: Rebel Godfather. Lincoln Riley gets fired at USC. Sark gets
- 41:55Speaker 3: fired at Texas. Lane leaves LSU for USC and takes
- 41:59Speaker 3: Eddie O and Sark with him. The cocaine cowboys ride again. Look,
- 42:05Speaker 3: anything in this wild, wild west that's college football is possible, right?
- 42:11Speaker 4: Unnamed texture. All Jaden Daniels did was transfer and win
- 42:14Speaker 4: the Heisman. Thank you.
- 42:14Speaker 3: Another good recall. So see, y'all are helping me out here.
- 42:19Speaker 3: I forgot Jaden Daniels was not, I mean, he was
- 42:23Speaker 3: average at Arizona State. He wasn't great, but that's another
- 42:27Speaker 3: good one. So I've got Mendoza. We've got Burrow, Daniels,
- 42:34Speaker 3: and Bo Nix as quarterbacks who transferred out of one
- 42:40Speaker 3: school and then really shot up the ladder, so to speak,
- 42:44Speaker 3: at the next school. And this is brought on because
- 42:46Speaker 3: can DJ Lagway do the same thing? Can he help
- 42:51Speaker 3: Dave Aranda save his job at Baylor? RT, Luke Altmyer,
- 42:56Speaker 3: Garrett Schrader, Illinois and from Ole Miss. Garrett Schrader didn't– now, look,
- 43:02Speaker 3: here's the thing. Garrett Schrader played pretty well at Mississippi State,
- 43:05Speaker 3: didn't he?
- 43:05Speaker 2: No.
- 43:06Speaker 4: You don't think so?
- 43:07Speaker 2: No.
- 43:08Speaker 5: The only thing I remember from him is– look, that's–
- 43:13Speaker 5: The teams were so down. It's like these Mississippi State fans,
- 43:19Speaker 5: like when Van Buren was there a couple years ago,
- 43:22Speaker 5: and they were so terrible that they looked at Van
- 43:27Speaker 5: Buren like, well, he didn't quit. Played as well as
- 43:29Speaker 5: he could. Ricky Schroeder, when he was there, remember he
- 43:34Speaker 5: got thrown up in the air like a helicopter and.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Spun around, and they're like, oh, that kid's tough. He
- 43:41Speaker 4: just loves playing.
- 43:42Speaker 5: It was highly mediocre, and the team sucked.
- 43:47Speaker 4: You're right.
- 43:48Speaker 3: He did propel at, no pun intended, at Syracuse, and
- 43:53Speaker 3: Luke Altmyer definitely did at Illinois. We're brought to you
- 43:55Speaker 3: by Taylor Power, Taylor Sudden Service. Go to taylorsuddenservice.com, 601-922-4444.
- 43:58Speaker 3: Chris Landry coming up next.
- 44:11Speaker 5: We'll be right
- 44:25Speaker 2: Back.
