- 0:01Speaker 1: Good Mark on demand by setting a preset for his
- 0:04Speaker 1: podcast on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Now back to Mark Simon on wor.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 0:15Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three to
- 0:18Speaker 1: two one zero seven ten. Let's go to Patrick in
- 0:22Speaker 1: New York City. Patrick, how you doing?
- 0:25Speaker 3: Good? Mark?
- 0:25Speaker 2: And I have a couple of questions. I'm sure we'll
- 0:28Speaker 2: be uh go ahead answered, going going forward? Number one,
- 0:32Speaker 2: which why didn't they kill this guy? This guy fired
- 0:35Speaker 2: on a secret Service agent. In most cases that would
- 0:37Speaker 2: be dead in five seconds.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, first, you don't shoot if you don't have to.
- 0:42Speaker 1: You didn't have to. They were able to tackle the
- 0:44Speaker 1: guy and get him under arrest. And oh, so you
- 0:46Speaker 1: want him, You want him alive because you want to
- 0:48Speaker 1: see was he working with anybody who sent him there?
- 0:51Speaker 1: Is there anybody else involved? You got to know all
- 0:53Speaker 1: that you shoot him?
- 0:54Speaker 2: You makes sense? Number two, just wondering about had people
- 0:58Speaker 2: went to a place like that, twenty five hundred people
- 1:00Speaker 2: went to a room like that, What if somebody thru
- 1:02Speaker 2: and send a party device in there, started a fire,
- 1:04Speaker 2: it would be deadly, deadly.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Well, that's a very good point. You know played that before.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Todd Blanche, Attorney General, said, well, one thing, we know,
- 1:13Speaker 1: the system worked. It worked, It worked, It worked. Yeah,
- 1:17Speaker 1: for one guy, one madman with a gun. It worked.
- 1:19Speaker 1: But you got a good point. What if it was
- 1:22Speaker 1: something else. What if they took a shirt off to
- 1:24Speaker 1: see if he had any explosives, but before they could
- 1:27Speaker 1: do that, or as they were tackling him, if he
- 1:29Speaker 1: had explosives under that shirt, under his clothes, he could
- 1:32Speaker 1: have set them off, taking out some people. What if
- 1:35Speaker 1: he had some kind of poisonous gas. What if he
- 1:38Speaker 1: had some chemical weapon with him? He was close enough
- 1:40Speaker 1: to the ballroom. That's the problem. It worked for one guy,
- 1:44Speaker 1: one gun, although he had multiple guns on him, but
- 1:49Speaker 1: it could have been a lot worse had he had again,
- 1:51Speaker 1: something really dangerous with him. Let's go to Marco in
- 1:54Speaker 1: New Jersey. Marco, how you doing?
- 1:56Speaker 4: Yeah, you're doing just two things. So what about you
- 2:01Speaker 4: know you said two weeks we'll wrap it all up,
- 2:03Speaker 4: gas prices will be back.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Oh you're talking about it?
- 2:06Speaker 4: Ran No you Yeah, when you said that, Yeah, well.
- 2:09Speaker 1: No, I didn't say that. I was quoting the president.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Two weeks. Yeah, he always says two weeks everything is
- 2:14Speaker 1: two weeks.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Yeah, but you said that.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Yeah again, quoting the president.
- 2:19Speaker 4: All right, so what did we give him another two weeks?
- 2:21Speaker 3: No?
- 2:21Speaker 1: I would give him months. You got to remember, well,
- 2:24Speaker 1: first of all, there's no war going on at the moment.
- 2:26Speaker 1: They're in the middle of negotiation, and if they go
- 2:29Speaker 1: back to war, there's not many targets left. So but
- 2:32Speaker 1: whether it's two weeks or eight weeks or twelve weeks,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I don't think you should worry about it. This is
- 2:37Speaker 1: everybody's dream, the dream of every present for years, was
- 2:40Speaker 1: to get rid of this regime. Can you imagine if
- 2:42Speaker 1: we actually pull it off? Now, you're right, it's a gamble,
- 2:45Speaker 1: but it would be the greatest thing we could ever
- 2:47Speaker 1: have happened, to get rid of that regime. Wouldn't you
- 2:49Speaker 1: get drilled?
- 2:51Speaker 4: Well, my other point was, I believe I can't believe
- 2:54Speaker 4: Erica Kirk would be at a place where a man
- 2:57Speaker 4: that's kind of responsible for her husband shot.
- 3:00Speaker 1: You're talking about Obama, you're talking about the fake news,
- 3:03Speaker 1: you're talking about CNN. Who are you talking.
- 3:04Speaker 4: About Charlie Kirk?
- 3:07Speaker 1: No, but who's responsible for his death? CNN? All those people
- 3:10Speaker 1: you're talking about, MSNBC.
- 3:14Speaker 3: You're ridiculous, bro.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You see, this is what I'm saying. Don't argue with
- 3:17Speaker 1: these people. You can't argue with them. They're just delusional.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Nobody has been a bigger supporter or praise Charlie Kirk
- 3:27Speaker 1: more than President Trump. Nobody's been a better friend. But
- 3:30Speaker 1: to this guy, he's responsible for her death. Now, in
- 3:33Speaker 1: that room, you had all the CNN, MSNBC people, New
- 3:37Speaker 1: York Times, you had all the fake news people who
- 3:40Speaker 1: for the last ten years have been screaming that Charlie
- 3:43Speaker 1: Kirk is a Nazi, a threat to democracy, he hates
- 3:47Speaker 1: gay people, he's a racist, and screaming this for years,
- 3:50Speaker 1: and as we know from the shooter, that's what got
- 3:53Speaker 1: him killed. That's what got him killed. And you do
- 3:56Speaker 1: bring up a good point. Why would she go near
- 3:59Speaker 1: the fake news who basically got her husband shot by
- 4:02Speaker 1: demonizing him. It's a good question. Let's go to Rich
- 4:05Speaker 1: and Myrtle Beach. Rich, how you doing?
- 4:08Speaker 3: And thanks? Mark? You can't stick stupid. That's all there
- 4:10Speaker 3: is about the guy.
- 4:11Speaker 1: You could hear from the way the guy talks. This
- 4:13Speaker 1: is an important point. No, you could hear from the
- 4:15Speaker 1: way he speaks. He's not a stupid guy, very well spoken,
- 4:18Speaker 1: our tickets, sound like a smart guy. But they're just fixated.
- 4:21Speaker 1: They've got that.
- 4:23Speaker 3: We'll say it's delusional instead. Okay, like some of my
- 4:27Speaker 3: family members. You know, afterwards, when Trump gave a speech
- 4:30Speaker 3: that night after the attempt, uh, he was very gracious
- 4:34Speaker 3: to meet. He wall unified. You know, everybody was together,
- 4:37Speaker 3: you know, blah blah blah. He's such a magnanimous and
- 4:40Speaker 3: a gracious person. Because anybody else, myself included, I would
- 4:43Speaker 3: have blasted him because it's all this nazi and racist
- 4:46Speaker 3: and pedophile and all this stuff that's driving these people
- 4:49Speaker 3: to it. And we knew it was only going to
- 4:50Speaker 3: take a day or two for the for the lamestream
- 4:53Speaker 3: media to go back to do it all over again.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Some of the guys this morning, some of the shows
- 4:57Speaker 3: now in their defense.
- 4:58Speaker 1: In their defense, they did pause all that for ten hours.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Give him credit for that. There was a ten hour pause.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Now they're back to it. Yeah, you know, the president's
- 5:07Speaker 1: actually a very gracious guy. There's nobody that's worse to him,
- 5:10Speaker 1: no bigger enemy than Jonathan Carl, that ABC News Weasley guy,
- 5:15Speaker 1: Jonathan Carl. But do you know the next morning, the
- 5:17Speaker 1: President called Jonathan Carl, who had he heard Jonathan Carl
- 5:21Speaker 1: was in the middle of all that chaos, almost got
- 5:23Speaker 1: trampled listening to Jonathan Carl. He said, at first he
- 5:25Speaker 1: was President calls him seven in the morning. He said,
- 5:28Speaker 1: at first he was calling to see if I was
- 5:30Speaker 1: okay with what happened last night? Are you okay? And
- 5:34Speaker 1: then he reiterated many of the things he said in
- 5:37Speaker 1: his press conference last night. Yeah, he called to see
- 5:39Speaker 1: if he's okay. How many people would do that. Let's
- 5:41Speaker 1: go to Jerry in Grantwich, Connecticut. Jerry, how you doing
- 5:45Speaker 1: very well?
- 5:45Speaker 3: Thank you too much, good morning. I'm worried about Iran
- 5:49Speaker 3: and stole him for the meetings and this and that.
- 5:52Speaker 4: You know, probably they're going to finish the bum and
- 5:54Speaker 4: they're going to reuse it.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Well, they can't finish it. They got to enrich that uranium,
- 5:59Speaker 1: and I can't do that in the middle of all
- 6:01Speaker 1: this bombing. Now that's really what this was all about.
- 6:05Speaker 1: They were close to getting a nuclear material again. Now
- 6:08Speaker 1: they said they had nuclear material, but it was for
- 6:10Speaker 1: commercial purposes, for energy purposes. First of all, when you're
- 6:15Speaker 1: that oil rich, you really don't need some nuclear energy
- 6:17Speaker 1: But the other thing is any nuclear material that you
- 6:20Speaker 1: know to use for commercial purposes, you enrich it to
- 6:24Speaker 1: about twenty twenty percent. If it gets to about eighty
- 6:28Speaker 1: or ninety percent, you got a nuclear weapon. They had
- 6:31Speaker 1: enriched all the way up to about sixty five percent,
- 6:34Speaker 1: so they were very close to getting it enriched enough
- 6:38Speaker 1: to be a nuclear weapon. That's the reason we had
- 6:40Speaker 1: to go when we went. Hey, when we come back,
- 6:43Speaker 1: we'll talk to Michael Goodwin. Lots to talk to him about.
- 6:47Speaker 1: And coming up, we'll get to King Charles. He visits
- 6:50Speaker 1: Washington to day, and then he's coming to visit Mom Donnie.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I'm sure he'll be very impressed with Mom Donnie.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Uh.
- 7:00Speaker 1: And we got a lot more to get to. We'll
- 7:02Speaker 1: get we'll get to Iran. We'll go over everything going
- 7:04Speaker 1: on there and more coming up on seven ten w
- 7:07Speaker 1: O R.
