- 1:01much. As we share the story of Jesus through
- 1:03the stories of... Mission Sunlight. And this
- 1:06particular episode we call Mission Sunlight Chat,
- 1:08where we're sharing the stories behind mission
- 1:10and ministry, Jordan. And recently... We traveled
- 1:14to the East Central Africa Division back in January
- 1:18of 2026. Some great things happening there. Yeah,
- 1:22exciting stories coming out of that region, specifically
- 1:25from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Which
- 1:29is a place you've been to a few times. I've been
- 1:32there. I used to live across the river in the
- 1:34Republic of Congo as a kid growing up there.
- 1:37My parents worked for the church there and did
- 1:39mission work there. And the differentiation is
- 1:41because they're both Congos. One is considered
- 1:44Congo -Kinshasa or Brazzaville? Kinshasa -Congo
- 1:49and Brazzaville -Congo, that's correct. Okay,
- 1:51and you were on the Brazzaville side? We were
- 1:52on the Brazzaville side. Okay. One is the French
- 1:54side and one is the Dutch side. Okay, okay. And
- 1:59so they were colonized by those two different
- 2:03places and have come out of that and are self
- 2:07-governing now. Okay. Had experience as a missionary
- 2:10kid on the Brazzaville side. We visited on the...
- 2:15Kinshasa side. All right. So tell us about the
- 2:17interviews in that division, which, of course,
- 2:19we're in Kenya, which is where the division is
- 2:21headquartered. Yeah. So we're going to start
- 2:22with the overview. It's kind of an overview of
- 2:26the whole division, what's happening there. And
- 2:28we spoke with Elder Riguri, who is the president
- 2:30of the division. He's actually the longest serving
- 2:33president currently for the World Church of any
- 2:37of the divisions. And he took time out of his
- 2:39schedule to talk to us about what's happening
- 2:41in his division and how the members have. just
- 2:45gotten this desire to be self -sent. They have
- 2:48a burning desire to serve Jesus and tell the
- 2:50story of Jesus to their friends and the communities
- 2:53where they live. And that phrase self -sent comes
- 2:56really into play in our third story, which we're
- 2:59going to get to. But first, let's listen to Dr.
- 3:01Riguri. All right, let's listen to it. The East
- 3:07Central Africa Division is one of the three divisions
- 3:10of the General Conference of Seventh -day Adventists
- 3:12serving the African continent. ECD's ministry
- 3:16spans 11 countries, including the Democratic
- 3:19Republic of Congo, Burundi, Tanzania, and Kenya.
- 3:24Together, the 11 nations are home to more than
- 3:26393 million people. Across the division, over
- 3:304 .2 million members worship in nearly 29 ,000
- 3:34churches and companies. And these numbers continue
- 3:37to grow weekly. God is doing many, many interesting
- 3:40things in some of our countries. East Central
- 3:43African Division has been very vibrant in the
- 3:46areas of evangelism, outreach, and all kinds
- 3:50of... activities that bring people to Christ.
- 3:54For many years, the membership expected and accepted
- 3:57that missionaries came from abroad to work among
- 4:01the Native tribes and people of this division.
- 4:03However, in recent decades, that has transformed
- 4:06significantly, and now they look to themselves
- 4:09to train, disciple, and baptize their neighbors,
- 4:12family, and friends. When it comes to the church
- 4:16members going out themselves, We call them self
- 4:21-sent. Our people have sent themselves. In other
- 4:24words, they do not wait to be agitated by anyone
- 4:29to go out. There was a time we had a big problem
- 4:34to bring an awakening to our people to participate
- 4:38in a mission, in evangelism. No more. That is
- 4:43not our problem anymore. All we need is to come
- 4:46up with a project or a program. This 13th Sabbath,
- 4:51the projects chosen for the offering demonstrate
- 4:53that there is an intrepid group of laity partnering
- 4:56with leadership to move the three angels' messages
- 4:59forward. In the last two decades, the 13th Sabbath
- 5:07offering in the ECD has been directed to many
- 5:13projects, almost 30 projects in the areas of
- 5:17education. health services, and also different
- 5:23other outreaches in the community. Some of the
- 5:26projects that the 13th Sabbath Offering has been
- 5:30directed here in ECD are in Congo, where we had
- 5:36a construction in the university, Goma University,
- 5:40and also in Rwanda, we have the Adventists of
- 5:43Central Africa in Rwanda, AUCA, and also the
- 5:47medical school in Rwanda. We call it a SOME,
- 5:50benefited also from this offering. And also in
- 5:53South Sudan, we had a project for training children,
- 5:57teachers for children. In Tanzania, we had a
- 6:01Mwanza Adventist Hospital. And in many other
- 6:05places, this offering has been very beneficial.
- 6:10The division has 12 countries and almost everywhere
- 6:13we have been feeling the impact of those. offerings
- 6:18that we have been receiving from the General
- 6:21Church and the World Church. During this second
- 6:24quarter, 2026, there are several projects across
- 6:27this division. A school for lifestyle and traditional
- 6:30education for Maasai youth in Kenya. Health clinics
- 6:33in both Tanzania and Burundi. Two other projects
- 6:37dealing with media and health evangelism are
- 6:40reminders of the recurring focus across this
- 6:42division. the Democratic Republic of Congo's
- 6:45unions have picked up that mantle and complete
- 6:48that focus this quarter. First, we visit Lukenga
- 6:51Adventist University, where they are building
- 6:54a training lab with modern technology for the
- 6:57nursing students. And therefore the students
- 6:59who will go through this education, they come
- 7:02from all walks of life. And therefore, it is
- 7:07a great privilege for us as a church. to equip
- 7:11this institution so that it can meet its needs.
- 7:16So part of the funds that you will be giving
- 7:18this second quarter will be directed to go and
- 7:22rehabilitate that nursery school. Next, we take
- 7:26you to the western portion of Congo to see the
- 7:29plans for media evangelism. Part of the offerings
- 7:33that we will be giving will be directed to Congo,
- 7:36to Kinshasa. where we are building a mega media
- 7:41center. We are building a comprehensive media
- 7:45facility that will allow our union and our neighbors
- 7:48to create content that truly expresses the Three
- 7:51Angels message through media, which we know breaks
- 7:53through barriers to touch the heart. East Central
- 7:57Africa division is characterized mainly by our
- 8:03push. for mission. We leave no one behind. We
- 8:12start with our children, we go to our young people,
- 8:16we go to our ladies of the church, and then we
- 8:19go to our men, our pastors, our church elders,
- 8:22and our leaders at all levels of the church.
- 8:26In both Lukenga University and Kinshasa Media
- 8:29Center, leadership has partnered to begin the
- 8:32projects in faith. They are seeking your willingness
- 8:35to come alongside them to finish the work, and
- 8:38they have grateful and full hearts as you join
- 8:41them. Hear them sing this praise hymn, for like
- 8:44you they know Jesus is coming again. Sabbath,
- 9:29June 27th, is the 13th Sabbath offering for this
- 9:32second quarter, 2026. I want to assure you, your
- 9:36offering is going to accomplish much more than
- 9:39you can imagine. Jesus is calling you to give
- 9:42so that your portion of blessing will make a
- 9:47difference to the life of one of your brothers
- 9:50or sisters in Africa. I thank the world church.
- 9:55I thank everyone of you. who are committed to
- 9:59give for these projects. The offering that we
- 10:02are awaiting from you will help us immediately
- 10:04equip this building. We await your hand and thank
- 10:07you for your support. May God richly bless each
- 10:10and every church member as you participate in
- 10:15giving your 13th Sabbath offering. The East Central
- 10:18African Division is expanding their work in evangelism,
- 10:21making a major commitment through medical missionary
- 10:24work. media missionary work, and through Adventist
- 10:28education. This 13th Sabbath, they're inviting
- 10:30you to join them on this special mission to sharing
- 10:35the gospel of Jesus into all the world. The only
- 10:38question that remains, what will your gift be?
- 10:41For the Seventh -day Adventist Church on the
- 10:43African continent, from Nairobi, Kenya, and the
- 10:46Network 7 media missionaries, this is Mission
- 10:50Sunlight. It's always an inspiring conversation
- 10:57when we talk to Elder Aguri. He's very excited
- 11:00about ministry, and he just kind of makes you
- 11:04want to get out there and do more. What were
- 11:07the other places that we went and told stories?
- 11:09So we intended to travel to Likenga Adventist
- 11:12University, which is way in the far northeast
- 11:14of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and
- 11:16see and hear what students are learning there.
- 11:19Specifically, there's a need for a new medical
- 11:21science learning laboratory. So as we got closer
- 11:24to our travel window, We kind of found out that
- 11:27travel there was prohibitive. They were not encouraging
- 11:31us to book plans and they would help us when
- 11:33we get there. It wasn't quite clear. Well, the
- 11:35bottom line was for an American flying from the
- 11:38United States to Kenya, then to Kinshasa, the
- 11:41Democratic Republic capital. then to this eastern
- 11:45city that we were to fly to. Then we were to
- 11:47take a 12 -hour ride that required leaving the
- 11:50Democratic Republic of the Congo on a northern
- 11:53road that's kind of parallel to the border, but
- 11:54it's outside of the Congo, through another country,
- 11:58then back into the DRC and along a very long,
- 12:01narrow bush road. It's pretty complicated for
- 12:05someone who's local, but then with our complications
- 12:08being from another country and having traveled
- 12:09through another country to get to the country,
- 12:11it... It was messy. And they said, wait a second,
- 12:14wait a second. It takes too long to get here.
- 12:16It takes a lot of time. And for an American,
- 12:17a lot of expense. Some may not realize, Jordan,
- 12:20and you and I have experienced this, there can
- 12:22be discrimination in other countries. Sometimes
- 12:25we... maybe tend to think that in America is
- 12:27the only place there's discrimination. But some
- 12:30of these countries we travel through, and I'm
- 12:31not pointing the finger at any one African country,
- 12:33Asian country, European country, just there is
- 12:36discrimination, sometimes because you're an American,
- 12:39sometimes because of the color of your skin,
- 12:40because you're white. Imagine something we don't
- 12:43think about often in America. But there can be
- 12:45discrimination in other countries. Not pointing
- 12:47the finger at anybody or anything in particular.
- 12:49It just happens. Oftentimes where you and I see
- 12:53it is when we go to like a... museum or a park
- 12:56even in a more developing country because they
- 13:02see that they will charge us more there's a non
- 13:06-national fee so that just happens it's it's
- 13:10not you know something that we dwell on But it
- 13:13is everywhere. Discrimination can happen anywhere
- 13:15and everywhere. It's present in some places.
- 13:18So it made more sense for their leaders, in this
- 13:21case, to come to the union to let us interview
- 13:23them. And then they provided some rough footage
- 13:24for us to cover with. And then we completed the
- 13:27package with some of the archive footage, of
- 13:28course, that we have from East African schools
- 13:30and churches. So all that explanation. That's
- 13:33how we got to our next story. Let's check it
- 13:35out. Northeast Congo is one of the most difficult
- 13:40fields to serve God from across the African continent.
- 13:43The terrain makes travel difficult, borders are
- 13:46blurry, and cross -tribal and cross -country
- 13:48conflict creates existential crisis daily. Yet
- 13:52these leaders press on toward the mark for the
- 13:55prize of their high calling in Jesus. Despite
- 13:58of other challenges that the church is meeting,
- 14:00we know that even the days of the Apostle Paul,
- 14:07The church had to face a lot of persecution and
- 14:11other issues. Mission activities are in various
- 14:15categories. Therefore, a North East Congo Union
- 14:20mission is impacting the society with a mission
- 14:25of the church. And that is to go into all the
- 14:28world to make disciples of the kingdom of God.
- 14:33The church is growing. and therefore it is meeting
- 14:37its mission, despite of other challenges that
- 14:40the church is meeting. DRC, the Seventh -day
- 14:44Adventist Church, has many schools. Education
- 14:47in that union is being considered as a key for
- 14:53enhancing evangelism in that part of the country.
- 14:58In fact, currently we can say that North East
- 15:02Congo Union Mission has The largest percentage
- 15:06of students in the entire East Central Africa
- 15:12division. And therefore, it attracts a lot of
- 15:16needs and therefore a lot of commitment from
- 15:20the church. Almost 70 % of the students for the
- 15:24entire division come from Northeast Congo Union
- 15:27Mission. The Adventist University here, since
- 15:30its inception, has been an education leader in
- 15:33the nation of Congo. Lukanga Adventist University
- 15:36is a church institution that started in 1996
- 15:46and this institution started very very slowly
- 15:53and now it is becoming bigger and bigger. Lukanga
- 15:57is the first university in DRC. The nursing school,
- 16:04starting with 39 students in 2012, has now 400
- 16:12students as of today. The impact of university
- 16:16graduates has even reached into the Congolese
- 16:18government. The Lord is blessing the Adventist
- 16:23University of Lukanga. The institution is growing.
- 16:27It is impacting the whole country. You know now
- 16:32we have more than now I think we can count the
- 16:36four members of the parliament that have gone
- 16:39through Lukanga. The sedition is growing and
- 16:43we praise God that the impact is being felt.
- 16:47In second quarter 2026, your 13th Sabbath World
- 16:51Mission offering overflow will bring the Lukanga
- 16:54campus a modern nursing laboratory and simulation
- 16:57classroom for nursing students to practice their
- 17:00learning life skills, similar to what we see
- 17:03here at their sister institution, Southern Adventist
- 17:07University's School of Nursing in the United
- 17:09States. Lukanga Nursing School is an institution
- 17:14that started to solve a problem. Students are
- 17:20coming out of, you know, look of the nursing
- 17:24school and they are doing wonders wherever they
- 17:27are going. The only problem that we have, you
- 17:30know, nursing schools, they need expensive materials,
- 17:35expensive laboratory, expensive simulation materials.
- 17:43So the clinic being also equipped will also help
- 17:48impact the community at the same time help the
- 17:52student for the training. When we want to do
- 17:56the internship for students, we are compelled
- 18:00to send them very far, even out of the country.
- 18:03Thirteenth offering for that university will
- 18:06help so much because From there, it will impact
- 18:11the entire country. They need that nursing school
- 18:15of Lukanga for their training so that they can
- 18:18become medical missionaries from that school
- 18:24being trained to serve the entire DRC and even
- 18:27outside the DRC. The nursing school will also
- 18:31help the mothers in terms of nutrition of their
- 18:34children. And the impact will be very, very great.
- 18:39The 13th Sabbath offering will help the nursing
- 18:45school to operate well, helping students to have
- 18:50good training. You know, we are preparing our
- 18:54students to be missionaries, medical missionaries.
- 18:58Leadership reminds us of the true evangelistic
- 19:01purpose of the university and its nursing school.
- 19:04Jesus was preaching and healing. So we would
- 19:09like to use this school in all our means to advance
- 19:12the mission, to impact the life of people, teach
- 19:17them about the love of God, and prepare them
- 19:20for the soon return of Jesus Christ. The medical
- 19:25mission work is our entering wedge for sharing
- 19:27good news. This 13th Sabbath, you can join these
- 19:31students. as they become gospel -bearing medical
- 19:33missionaries. I would like to thank all our leaders
- 19:37for such a thing. We appreciate so much, not
- 19:40only us who are working in the church, even the
- 19:43community outside the church appreciates so much.
- 19:47I want to thank you all for your donations that
- 19:53will help to enhance the Three Angels message
- 19:58through the medical or activities and I believe
- 20:04and trust that God's work will be also will improve
- 20:10in this part of the world. So we are excited
- 20:14that the World Church is prepared to meet the
- 20:19needs of Lukanga University and more specifically
- 20:24the School of Nursing. The equipment which will
- 20:27be there will transform the university. On Sabbath,
- 20:32June 27, you can assist in training the next
- 20:35generation of medical missionaries with modern
- 20:38medical equipment in Central Africa. What are
- 20:41you planning for your 13th Sabbath offering gift?
- 20:44From the Network 7 Media Missionaries and the
- 20:46Lukenga Adventist University in Northeast Congo
- 20:49Union Mission, this is Mission Sunlight. What
- 20:58a great bunch of guys sharing what's happening.
- 21:00These leaders have some excitement happening
- 21:04on their campus, and they're excited for that.
- 21:06And, of course, some of those leaders are from
- 21:07the union. And as we said earlier, they traveled
- 21:09over to meet us in Kinshasa. And you probably
- 21:12didn't know it, but in the background of some
- 21:14of those shots is a new. ministry that's happening
- 21:18in Kinshasa. And that, of course, leads us to
- 21:20our to our next story. Yeah. So as as we talked
- 21:24about earlier, Elder Aguri was talking about
- 21:26how the members are self -sent or self self -organized,
- 21:31self -motivated, self -activated to do ministry.
- 21:34And they are just excited to tell what God is
- 21:38doing for them and their lives. And so in our
- 21:40next story, our final one for this month, this
- 21:43quarter. One of the episodes we learned about
- 21:47the Adventist Media Center and how they started
- 21:49in a studio about the size of ours here. It's
- 21:53our studio. This one that we're working in right
- 21:56now is about five feet by nine feet or two meters
- 21:59by three meters. And the goal is to expand or
- 22:03they have expanded into a larger studio. It's
- 22:07still not very big. It's only. 25 feet by 25
- 22:10feet. So for studios, that's pretty small. But
- 22:14you can do amazing things in small spaces too.
- 22:15So that's like 7 to 8 meters for those using
- 22:18the other measuring system. That's a very small,
- 22:21tight space. Many of our living rooms in the
- 22:25U .S. are bigger than that. But they're doing
- 22:30amazing things. And so let's look and see what
- 22:33their story is and what they're doing in that
- 22:37space. Okay. Kinshasa is the capital and largest
- 22:44city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
- 22:46It's one of the world's fastest -growing megacities
- 22:49with an estimated 18 .5 million residents. Kinshasa
- 22:53is the third largest metropolitan area in Africa
- 22:56and fourth most populated capital city in the
- 22:59world. The city stretches along the southwestern
- 23:03shore of the Pool Malabo on the Congo River.
- 23:05Across the river lies Brazzaville, the smaller
- 23:08capital of the neighboring Republic of the Congo,
- 23:11forming the world's closest pair of capital cities
- 23:14despite being separated by a two -mile -wide
- 23:17unbridged span of the Congo River. This 13th
- 23:20Sabbath, you will be invited to join the West
- 23:23Congo Union Mission leaders in Kinshasa as they
- 23:26outfit this brand -new media facility. built
- 23:30in the heart of the city with all new media tools
- 23:32to broadcast to Kinshasa, DR Congo, Central Africa,
- 23:37and the world. The work to reach the people across
- 23:41Congo is greatly complex, and the distance to
- 23:44the fields is far. Eighty percent of the Adventist
- 23:47members are actually in the central and eastern
- 23:50part of our country because the work began on
- 23:53the easier border by missionaries coming from
- 23:55Rwanda. and then to the south. Here in the west
- 23:58in Kinshasa is the largest French -speaking city
- 24:01in the world with 18 million residents here.
- 24:04There are only 20 ,000 Adventist members, so
- 24:06it is a new field of work here in the city. West
- 24:10Congo Union Mission is home to intrepid Adventist
- 24:13laity working to maximize the use of media to
- 24:17share the truth as it is in Jesus with their
- 24:19neighbors near and far. This 13th Sabbath, you
- 24:23are invited to join them to complete this four
- 24:25-story media center to begin broadcasting from
- 24:28radio, television, and internet here and around
- 24:31the world. The Adventists love the gospel and
- 24:34are happy to work for Jesus. They volunteer to
- 24:37serve in missions and giving up salaries elsewhere.
- 24:40Here you can see the current media facility.
- 24:42It's about 25 feet by 25 feet, housing both the
- 24:46joint Adventist World Radio and Hope Channel
- 24:49Studio and the control center for both broadcast
- 24:52entities. Through our small budget and volunteers
- 24:55on a subsidy, we've built the work here, including
- 24:58the media center, reaching people with the local
- 25:01radio and television channels that we have. As
- 25:03you can see, it is very small and inadequate.
- 25:06Yet we have been able to grow the church with
- 25:09the leading of the Spirit. It has been astounding
- 25:11in a short time to see people come to know Jesus
- 25:14and even some other denominational pastors have
- 25:17come to love Jesus in the Adventist message and
- 25:20have brought their entire churches too. The church
- 25:22wanted to start a radio station so they set aside
- 25:25the funds to start a radio station using a license
- 25:28that had been inactive. They began in a small
- 25:31studio and continued for many years. Then the
- 25:35church started the television station and the
- 25:37result was this small media center. We lacked
- 25:40means to operate them separately so they were
- 25:43in cooperation with each other. It was important
- 25:46to reach the population of this vast city. The
- 25:49church is small here. The idea we had here, we
- 25:53had a team working together for radio and television
- 25:56starting in a very small house a studio that
- 26:01we had you you could see maybe in other videos
- 26:04here but now we bless the lord because you see
- 26:08with this big major center which is coming up
- 26:12we are able now to to work we will not separate
- 26:16people but we will work together as a family
- 26:18to spread the gospel Despite this humble setting,
- 26:22the nearby new building will open soon to adequately
- 26:26house Adventist World Radio, Hope Channel DRC,
- 26:30and the Adventist Media Center. We were quite
- 26:33surprised when the World Church saw what we were
- 26:35doing and offered this building behind us. It
- 26:38is a gift of the General Conference, the Hope
- 26:40Channel, Adventist World Radio, and the East
- 26:44Central African Division. Our union, conference,
- 26:47and local members' role was to provide the laborers
- 26:50and also the new equipment for recording. This
- 26:53seems like an easy task, but many of our workers
- 26:56are already volunteering for free. They don't
- 26:59have much, if anything, more to give. But our
- 27:03members gave some, and as God promises us, He
- 27:07met us where we were. This project has been funded
- 27:10by the GC Adventist World Radio. Hope Channel
- 27:14International and the East Central Africa Division.
- 27:20The church members have also contributed to this
- 27:24project. We are opening the media center on faith.
- 27:27The World Church and Division have allowed us
- 27:29to build an adequate building. Our local members
- 27:32have put their shoulders together to work too.
- 27:34This 13th Sabbath, we know we have done all we
- 27:37can. Now, we are asking you to join us. We are
- 27:41just waiting on your hands to help us equip this
- 27:44building with cameras, cables, microphones, switches,
- 27:47and all the studio accessories. Equip our studios,
- 27:51not only the studios, also we have media boxes
- 27:56whereby we need technology equipment to be used.
- 28:03And also... to equip our tower. They are doing
- 28:09a great deal with so little. Your gift this quarter
- 28:13will mean so much. People very committed here
- 28:16were performing miracles and doing their best
- 28:20to create contents and stream good programs.
- 28:26It is important to understand that the work is
- 28:29not just affecting the church growth in the city.
- 28:31We connect through satellites and the internet.
- 28:34We have many radio and television licenses in
- 28:37the country, more than 20. And we are reaching
- 28:40thousands, even millions. And then you can see
- 28:43with the internet that we are unlimited to reach
- 28:45those in French and English languages in Africa
- 28:48and around the world. Your 15 Sabaf offering
- 28:51will help us to equip this building with a good
- 28:55quality of equipment and be able now to work
- 29:00and bring out the message we have. to reach out
- 29:02to millions of people in the city and frog out
- 29:05Africa and frog out the world because we will
- 29:08not work only for Kinshasa or for DRC but also
- 29:12for all French -speaking Africa and all the French
- 29:15-speaking world. We will equip with modern quality
- 29:18of equipment and our media team will reach far
- 29:22beyond these walls with the messages of the three
- 29:25angels. We will be able to lead many people to
- 29:28Jesus through the French language, Ngala, Chaluba,
- 29:32and Swahili dialects too, to have the maximum
- 29:35impact. This is just a new building, nearly complete,
- 29:39and very soon, with your gifts, it will be equipped
- 29:42to share the Three Angels messages across the
- 29:44internet, AWR and Hope Channel, in the East Central
- 29:48Africa Division, and beyond. We acknowledge the
- 29:52world church members in their Sabbath pew. This
- 29:55offering will save many. You are impacting the
- 29:58kingdom, have no doubt. This project behind me
- 30:01is a blessing from the World Church to our union,
- 30:07not only to our union, but to Africa as a whole.
- 30:12We are thankful that Mission Sunlight is here
- 30:15and that through them you will hear our story.
- 30:18Please contribute with what you have and together
- 30:21the kingdom will grow. We want to thank all of
- 30:25you that is supporting us. Kinshasa can move
- 30:30the world and can do many things through this
- 30:33building you can see. The time for the 13th Sabbath
- 30:36is now. What will you give to finish the work
- 30:39here at the new Adventist Media Center in Kinshasa?
- 30:43For the Seventh Day Adventist Church in East
- 30:45Central Africa Division and the Network 7 Media
- 30:48Missionaries, this is Mission Sunlight. So a
- 30:56lot is happening in that space. It's great to
- 30:58see them moving into the larger space and being
- 31:00able to utilize that. Some people may not have
- 31:02caught, but Hope Channel is housed in that new
- 31:05studio and AWR. And so the Word of God is actually
- 31:11being... broadcast out of there to the region,
- 31:14and a lot is being done in that little space.
- 31:16So this new building is going to be extraordinary
- 31:17for their ability to just carry on production.
- 31:20We think of television, Hope Channel, we think
- 31:22of radio, AWR, and of course they're using the
- 31:25internet. And not only that, we don't think about
- 31:27it so much in the U .S., but they use WhatsApp.
- 31:29They send episodes and stream on WhatsApp and
- 31:33other messaging applications. The work that those,
- 31:38it's not just television and radio, the work
- 31:40that those two are producing is going out in
- 31:42extraordinary other venues and ways. And being
- 31:46able to reach people in a personal way, not just
- 31:48they hear it over the radio, but you have a relationship
- 31:51with people if you have their WhatsApp number,
- 31:53and so you have a relationship, you can send
- 31:54that to them, and you're actually making contact
- 31:56with people that you may know. And so as we sit
- 31:58here and record this, it's summer 2026, they're
- 32:01actually beginning to produce content from that
- 32:04new building now. I've just been in touch with
- 32:06the... treasurer from the union there and looking
- 32:08forward to seeing how all of this develops. Jordan,
- 32:10thanks so much for being a part of our program
- 32:12today, front and center here as we talk about
- 32:14the stories from the inter -European division.
- 32:18Not the inter -European division. I'm jumping
- 32:19ahead on another project we're working on, the
- 32:21East Central Africa division, which, by the way,
- 32:26next quarter we'll be talking about that inter
- 32:28-European division. They all kind of merge together.
- 32:30When you're working on two, three, four at a
- 32:32time, they run together. So we're looking forward
- 32:34to sharing those stories. It's been a blessing.
- 32:36to share these stories as well today. Thank you
- 32:39so much to our listeners and our viewers who
- 32:41have been a part of the program today and are
- 32:43a part of the program every week. drop a new
