- 0:22Speaker 1: But I know a lot of people are on these
- 0:24Speaker 1: social media streets and you're comfortable here. Only thing about
- 0:28Speaker 1: it is that it's a lot of distractions. So if
- 0:30Speaker 1: you want to try to devote some time in the
- 0:32Speaker 1: word of God, I would suggest for you to get
- 0:34Speaker 1: on platforms that have less distractions. So that way you
- 0:38Speaker 1: could really focus in on what we're doing here. But
- 0:41Speaker 1: we're here weekdays in the studio, 5.30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I try my best to get into studio on Mondays
- 0:47Speaker 1: through Fridays, 5.30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. Sometimes life happens
- 0:51Speaker 1: and I can't do that. But praise God we're here today. Amen.
- 0:54Speaker 1: So I thank you so much for coming through. Listen,
- 0:56Speaker 1: if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or any prayer requests,
- 1:00Speaker 1: you could always at us on the social media platforms,
- 1:03Speaker 1: at DJ Sandrock or at Celerator Network, or you could
- 1:07Speaker 1: join us on a live chat. Anytime, whether we're live
- 1:10Speaker 1: or not, the live chat is always available. Questions, comments, concerns,
- 1:14Speaker 1: prayer requests, I would love to pray for you. I'm
- 1:16Speaker 1: a prayer warrior. I pray all the time. Amen. And
- 1:18Speaker 1: I would love to have you prayed for from the ministry. Amen.
- 1:24Speaker 1: So we're going to pray first. but today we're going
- 1:27Speaker 1: to be in Romans chapter two, verse number one, Romans
- 1:30Speaker 1: chapter two, verse number one. And this one's called God's
- 1:33Speaker 1: righteous judgment. I'm going to tell you straight up right now.
- 1:37Speaker 1: We're not all going to be in. My hope is
- 1:39Speaker 1: that we'll be on the same page about judgment, but
- 1:43Speaker 1: I'm going to take it like this. We're going to
- 1:47Speaker 1: kind of like have different views on this different point
- 1:50Speaker 1: of views on this. But I have a question when
- 1:53Speaker 1: we get into it that, um, was posed to me yesterday,
- 1:57Speaker 1: I believe, by Holy Spirit God. Amen? That I never
- 2:00Speaker 1: thought about before. But we'll get there before we get there.
- 2:04Speaker 1: So Father God, I thank you so much for the opportunity,
- 2:07Speaker 1: this opportunity right now to testify of your greatness, your goodness,
- 2:11Speaker 1: your holiness, your righteousness. You are the righteous judge. And
- 2:15Speaker 1: who are we to judge, right? That's what we hear
- 2:18Speaker 1: all the time, Lord God, from people who are outside
- 2:21Speaker 1: of the kingdom. They say, you can't judge me. And
- 2:23Speaker 1: I think they're right. Father God, teach us what is
- 2:26Speaker 1: really true about your word concerning judgment. I pray, Lord God,
- 2:31Speaker 1: that you will enlighten us, teach us, carry us through this.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Lord God, that your Holy Spirit will reign and rule
- 2:37Speaker 1: in our hearts and our minds, and that you will
- 2:38Speaker 1: continue to lead us forward, knowing that we are victorious
- 2:42Speaker 1: in you. In you, we could do all things, Lord God.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Thank you, Lord. But without you, you say we could
- 2:48Speaker 1: do nothing. So we want to be in Christ. I
- 2:51Speaker 1: pray that you will guide us, guard us, protect us
- 2:54Speaker 1: by your ways, Lord God. Protect us, set forth your
- 2:57Speaker 1: archangel angels to protect me, my family, our grandchildren, my
- 3:02Speaker 1: whole entire bloodline, every single person that's listening and watching,
- 3:05Speaker 1: representing their family as well, that you will guide, guard,
- 3:08Speaker 1: and protect them as well. I pray by faith, Lord God,
- 3:11Speaker 1: that we will have an encounter with you, Lord Jesus,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and that you will hold us up and that you
- 3:16Speaker 1: will keep us up and that we will be ready
- 3:18Speaker 1: and stay ready according to your purpose and plan, which
- 3:21Speaker 1: is 100% perfect for our lives individually and corporately. In
- 3:26Speaker 1: Jesus' holy name, I pray this by faith. And those
- 3:28Speaker 1: who agree, we say amen to the amen. Let's get
- 3:31Speaker 1: into this. Like I said, prepare yourself. I think this
- 3:35Speaker 1: is going to challenge the way we think concerning judgment.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And there's two ways of spelling judgment. I literally found
- 3:42Speaker 1: that out yesterday while I was doing the title. And
- 3:47Speaker 1: I thought I spelled it wrong. I'm always spelling judgment
- 3:50Speaker 1: with a J-U-D-G-E. And then I realized in the scriptures,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I read the Berean Study Bible, the BSB, and there
- 4:03Speaker 1: was no E in judgment. So I looked it up
- 4:06Speaker 1: and you can spell it both ways. So God's righteous judgment.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Brother John, I see you. Good morning. God bless you.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Good morning. And yeah, mercy and grace to all. Thank
- 4:14Speaker 1: you for showing up, my bro, my friend. This one's
- 4:18Speaker 1: going to be a little heavy for a morning devo,
- 4:20Speaker 1: but I believe it's necessary, amen, that we talk about
- 4:23Speaker 1: it as believers, right? So Romans chapter 2, verse number 1.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Let's see what we have here. I'm going to ask
- 4:33Speaker 1: you a question I believe that was posed to me
- 4:35Speaker 1: by Holy Spirit God. You, therefore, have no excuse. You
- 4:42Speaker 1: who pass judgment on someone else For on whatever grounds
- 4:48Speaker 1: you judge the other person, you are condemning yourself. Ouch.
- 4:55Speaker 1: That hurts, right? Because you who pass judgment do the
- 5:01Speaker 1: same things. And I believe this part, doing the same
- 5:05Speaker 1: things while you're passing judgment, I think that's the key
- 5:08Speaker 1: to this scripture. I could be wrong. Amen. When I'm
- 5:11Speaker 1: thinking about it out loud right now, live, um, inspired
- 5:16Speaker 1: by Holy Ghost, to figure, hey, if I'm doing the
- 5:19Speaker 1: same thing, how am I judging you for doing the
- 5:23Speaker 1: same thing I'm judging you on? Right? I don't think
- 5:25Speaker 1: that would make any sense, and I don't think that
- 5:27Speaker 1: would be any benefit to anyone. Sister Joanne, I see you.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Good morning. God bless you. Welcome back to the Morning Devo,
- 5:33Speaker 1: my sister and my friend. So, I have a question. Amen?
- 5:37Speaker 1: While I was reading the scripture, you know, sometimes I
- 5:40Speaker 1: try to avoid things, but, uh, I believe Holy Spirit
- 5:45Speaker 1: was like, nah, you ain't getting away with this. The
- 5:48Speaker 1: question was, in this part of scripture, is Apostle Paul
- 5:54Speaker 1: talking to believers or unbelievers here? The reason why I
- 5:58Speaker 1: say that, because if you keep on reading, amen, Apostle
- 6:02Speaker 1: Paul talks about an unrepentant heart. And last time I checked,
- 6:06Speaker 1: and this is the way I think, I'm a thinker.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Last time I checked, if you haven't repented or if
- 6:11Speaker 1: I haven't repented, we're not born again. Right? Right? There's
- 6:15Speaker 1: no salvation without repentance. You're not saved if you never
- 6:20Speaker 1: turned from your wicked ways and turned to the righteous
- 6:23Speaker 1: ways of the Lord and asked Him to forgive you
- 6:26Speaker 1: for your sins. So it's interesting. This scripture is very interesting.
- 6:29Speaker 1: And I know a lot of people like to go
- 6:32Speaker 1: to scriptures like this when they see preachers out in
- 6:35Speaker 1: the street, you know, and they say, you can't judge.
- 6:38Speaker 1: The Bible says don't judge. And you're out here judging, right?
- 6:42Speaker 1: So that's the question I had. Who's... Who's the apostle
- 6:46Speaker 1: talking to? Who is he inspired to talk to? The
- 6:49Speaker 1: Holy Spirit inspired the apostle to write these scriptures down.
- 6:55Speaker 1: He wrote 13 letters to the churches. Who is he
- 6:57Speaker 1: talking to? He's talking to the outsider or to the insider?
- 7:00Speaker 1: He's talking to the believer or unbeliever? Think about it.
- 7:03Speaker 1: But from here, you can't really see who he's talking to.
- 7:08Speaker 1: But if you keep on reading, you will see it.
- 7:11Speaker 1: You will see and you will get a better point
- 7:13Speaker 1: of view. So it's easy to recognize the faults of
- 7:18Speaker 1: others and overlooking the same struggles in our own lives.
- 7:25Speaker 1: It's very easy to do. Oh, look, Sam is doing XYZ.
- 7:31Speaker 1: It's easy to say that. I dare to come on
- 7:34Speaker 1: these social media streets doing lives and Bible studies and
- 7:38Speaker 1: morning devos. So best believe people are going to be
- 7:41Speaker 1: looking through and scrolling through and seeing all the flaws
- 7:45Speaker 1: and trying to amplify, oh, well, he's a DJ, he
- 7:48Speaker 1: plays secular music, so he's a hypocrite, or he does
- 7:53Speaker 1: this and he does that, or he's having struggles in
- 7:57Speaker 1: his home, or this, that, and the other, however they
- 7:59Speaker 1: see it, amen, they're going to point out your struggles
- 8:03Speaker 1: and my struggles, right? But listen, God is faithful. He's
- 8:07Speaker 1: the righteous judge, amen? He knows the whole situation, right?
- 8:13Speaker 1: We don't even know snapshots of each other's lives, to
- 8:15Speaker 1: be honest, right? God knows the whole thing from beginning
- 8:19Speaker 1: to end. So it's easy to recognize the faults of others.
- 8:24Speaker 1: We may criticize someone for their attitude, right? And this
- 8:30Speaker 1: person claims to be a believer, works in a church
- 8:33Speaker 1: and everything, and they have a bad attitude all the time,
- 8:35Speaker 1: always angry, right? I don't want to be that guy.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Hope you don't want to be that person either. Amen?
- 8:41Speaker 1: I realize that You know, this is the only thing
- 8:44Speaker 1: I could think of. Like you see when you see preachers,
- 8:46Speaker 1: they look angry all the time when they're preaching. You
- 8:49Speaker 1: know what I think about that? I think, in my
- 8:52Speaker 1: humble opinion, is that the power of God working through
- 8:56Speaker 1: the preacher, right? It's not for everybody. It's just for
- 8:59Speaker 1: the ones I know. That I know they're not angry.
- 9:01Speaker 1: It's just that I believe the flesh is fighting at
- 9:05Speaker 1: those moments against the preacher. So there's a struggle right there.
- 9:11Speaker 1: There's a war. active live while someone's preaching that's my
- 9:16Speaker 1: point of view of it i don't think the people
- 9:18Speaker 1: are always angry when they're preaching because a lot of
- 9:20Speaker 1: people are loud when they preach they're animated when they
- 9:23Speaker 1: preach when they preach it's not like they're angry i
- 9:26Speaker 1: don't think they're angry it's just that there's a war
- 9:27Speaker 1: going on right there right right now there's a war
- 9:30Speaker 1: going on my flesh wants to me to stay asleep
- 9:33Speaker 1: this morning the flesh was like i just stay asleep
- 9:35Speaker 1: and worry about it no one cares anyway and i'm
- 9:38Speaker 1: like nah man i have a morning devo i dedicate
- 9:41Speaker 1: this time to the lord And people who come on,
- 9:43Speaker 1: we're dedicating this time together to the Lord. So there's
- 9:47Speaker 1: a war going on. Amen? Sometimes I might look angry. Right?
- 9:51Speaker 1: I'm not angry. I'm full of joy. And so are
- 9:54Speaker 1: you if you're born again. And it's not the righteousness
- 9:59Speaker 1: of God. that leads men to repentance. It's the kindness
- 10:02Speaker 1: of God that leads men to repent, right? And it's
- 10:05Speaker 1: also not the anguish, the righteous anger that people say
- 10:10Speaker 1: they have that leads people to the Lord. It's actually
- 10:14Speaker 1: the joy of the Lord, which is our strength. that
- 10:17Speaker 1: people see and they're like, wow, this person's full of joy.
- 10:21Speaker 1: So we could criticize someone for their attitude, their dishonesty,
- 10:25Speaker 1: their anger, or this is the one, the sinful behavior, right?
- 10:30Speaker 1: You see sinful behavior if you're my brother or my sister, amen,
- 10:33Speaker 1: you see me acting wild, you know, pull me to
- 10:36Speaker 1: the side and say, hey, I think you need to
- 10:38Speaker 1: take a break because you're acting crazy. And I will
- 10:42Speaker 1: receive that. Not a lot of believers will receive it,
- 10:45Speaker 1: especially if they They consider themselves in some kind of
- 10:48Speaker 1: high rank in church. A lot of them will be like,
- 10:52Speaker 1: who are you to tell me? But me, personally, I
- 10:56Speaker 1: receive that. I don't want to go in tangents, different
- 10:59Speaker 1: directions all the time, and then come up here like
- 11:03Speaker 1: if nothing is wrong. I have issues going on personally, right?
- 11:08Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean that it's sinful issues. It just
- 11:10Speaker 1: means that trying to figure some things out, asking God
- 11:13Speaker 1: to help. Amen? Amen. asking my brothers and sisters to
- 11:16Speaker 1: keep me accountable. It's all good. But, you know, as
- 11:21Speaker 1: a whole, when we see sinful behavior, make sure that
- 11:27Speaker 1: that sinful behavior that you're going to approach your brother
- 11:29Speaker 1: or sister in love, in love, that you too are
- 11:32Speaker 1: not going through the same or you're not doing the
- 11:35Speaker 1: same things. I think that's what passing judgment, doing the
- 11:39Speaker 1: same things mean. You know, be truthful, be honest to yourself,
- 11:44Speaker 1: before you approach someone else. I think that's what scriptures
- 11:47Speaker 1: are saying. So Romans 2 and 1, Apostle Paul is
- 11:51Speaker 1: delivering a powerful reminder. And I believe he's speaking to
- 11:55Speaker 1: himself as well as he's speaking to the people. We
- 11:58Speaker 1: are not called to sit in God's judgment seat. I
- 12:02Speaker 1: think that's what people mean, especially unbelievers. You can't judge me.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I think what they really, and some of them probably
- 12:08Speaker 1: don't understand what they're saying. They're close to, you know,
- 12:13Speaker 1: what the scripture is saying. We can't sit in the
- 12:16Speaker 1: judgment seat that God sits in. I think that's what
- 12:19Speaker 1: they're saying. Because a lot of times they say only
- 12:23Speaker 1: God could judge me. And they are absolutely 100% correct.
- 12:30Speaker 1: God is the righteous judge and he will judge. Amen.
- 12:35Speaker 1: So we're not called to sit in God's judgment seat.
- 12:38Speaker 1: God alone. Who's the righteous judge that's coming back? Jesus.
- 12:43Speaker 1: God alone sees the heart and the intention of the heart,
- 12:48Speaker 1: and he sees it perfectly. I don't see the intention
- 12:52Speaker 1: of your heart perfectly. I don't see the intention of
- 12:54Speaker 1: your heart at all, to be honest, but God does.
- 12:56Speaker 1: He sees it perfectly. He knows every motive of our heart, right? Also,
- 13:06Speaker 1: he judges with complete righteousness. God doesn't judge unrighteously. God
- 13:13Speaker 1: doesn't judge, you know, just pointing fingers and guessing. No,
- 13:17Speaker 1: he knows. He knows the motives of our heart. He
- 13:20Speaker 1: knows what we're thinking. Guess who don't know what we're
- 13:23Speaker 1: thinking right now? Can only hear what we say. The enemy.
- 13:27Speaker 1: So don't think the enemy could read your mind. That's
- 13:29Speaker 1: why in spiritual warfare, when you're approached by a demon-possessed
- 13:34Speaker 1: person or a witch or someone who's trying to, you know,
- 13:38Speaker 1: distract you, or encourage you to sin, you know, in
- 13:42Speaker 1: your mind, in your mind, if you don't want to
- 13:46Speaker 1: come all out to the person or offend them, in
- 13:49Speaker 1: your mind, you could pray to the Lord. He hears
- 13:51Speaker 1: your prayers that are in here, and he will help
- 13:54Speaker 1: you through that situation. I know that for a fact.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I've been in a lot of situations where I say,
- 14:00Speaker 1: I better be praying, right? Because this activity around me
- 14:05Speaker 1: is demonic, right? So in my mind, I could pray. Now,
- 14:08Speaker 1: as soon as you speak it out of your mouth,
- 14:10Speaker 1: the enemy will pick that up. The demons will pick
- 14:13Speaker 1: that up and be like, oh, that's what he wants
- 14:16Speaker 1: or that's what she wants. Yeah, let's try to disrupt that.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Even though we win all the time. In Christ, we win.
- 14:24Speaker 1: But I think that's a strategy we could be using
- 14:27Speaker 1: since we know that God can hear our thoughts. The
- 14:30Speaker 1: enemy can't. So we have a secret way to speak
- 14:35Speaker 1: to the Lord. without the enemy even knowing what we're saying.
- 14:39Speaker 1: So this doesn't mean we should ignore sin. Because I
- 14:44Speaker 1: know I have to balance this out too myself. Ignoring sin.
- 14:50Speaker 1: For years I would look at situations in churches and
- 14:57Speaker 1: I'd be like, nah, can't be. It's none of my business.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Let me walk the other way. I was ignoring sinful
- 15:04Speaker 1: behavior because I felt What about me? How about if
- 15:08Speaker 1: I fall into that or, you know, I'm not perfect?
- 15:10Speaker 1: Be careful with that, right? We are responsible. We are
- 15:15Speaker 1: responsible people. We can help one another in these areas
- 15:20Speaker 1: to get up and get out of those situations. And God,
- 15:23Speaker 1: of course, gives us a path of escape, a way
- 15:27Speaker 1: to escape temptation, sinful behavior, right? Bad attitudes. He can
- 15:31Speaker 1: adjust those things if we allow His Spirit to adjust
- 15:36Speaker 1: it in our hearts. So this doesn't mean that we
- 15:38Speaker 1: should ignore sin or pretend that right and wrong don't exist.
- 15:46Speaker 1: The world says, that's your truth, Sam. It's not my truth.
- 15:51Speaker 1: That's right for you. That doesn't mean it's right for me.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Let's not get into that. We're believers in Christ. Christ
- 15:57Speaker 1: Jesus is the righteous judge. He is the righteous one, right?
- 16:03Speaker 1: We have no excuse as believers to continually walk in
- 16:08Speaker 1: sinful behavior, to continually walk in darkness. Right? But we
- 16:13Speaker 1: have to show grace to the people who are outside
- 16:15Speaker 1: of the kingdom. Just like when we were outside the kingdom,
- 16:19Speaker 1: people had grace on us and they prayed for us.
- 16:22Speaker 1: They included us in church services, right? Even though we
- 16:25Speaker 1: were enemies of God. So I'm mindful of that stuff.
- 16:29Speaker 1: I'm always trying to help the newbie. in the church. Amen.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I'm drawn to the new believers because I know how
- 16:36Speaker 1: it is when I was a new Christian. Amen. I
- 16:39Speaker 1: would hear certain things that people were hurling my way
- 16:42Speaker 1: and not realizing. I don't think they realized. I didn't
- 16:46Speaker 1: understand what they were talking about. For instance, when I
- 16:49Speaker 1: first got saved, some men of God would say, well,
- 16:53Speaker 1: let's see how long your Holy Spirit is going to
- 16:55Speaker 1: last when life really hits. And I was like, I
- 16:58Speaker 1: had no clue what that was. So I ignored it
- 17:01Speaker 1: and I was like, I don't know what they're talking about,
- 17:03Speaker 1: but Holy Spirit, God's going to help me through whatever
- 17:05Speaker 1: comes my way. That was my attitude. But if I
- 17:09Speaker 1: was distracted by that or if I took that to heart,
- 17:14Speaker 1: it would have kind of threw me off course a
- 17:15Speaker 1: little bit in the beginning. So I'm mindful of that
- 17:18Speaker 1: just because of my experience. So I tend to help
- 17:22Speaker 1: out the newbie a lot. So God's word calls us
- 17:25Speaker 1: to have discernment, right? To... before we correct to make
- 17:31Speaker 1: sure that we're doing it in love and also make
- 17:35Speaker 1: sure that, you know, we're not doing the same exact
- 17:38Speaker 1: things according to scripture, past judgment, when we're doing the
- 17:41Speaker 1: same things. Right? Very important. Love is very important when
- 17:46Speaker 1: you approach this. Correction, right? Accountability. Me personally, I'm not too,
- 17:54Speaker 1: I'm not too into accountability partners. The reason why, this
- 17:58Speaker 1: is just me, you know, you, You don't have to agree.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I'm just saying because in order for you to be accountable,
- 18:05Speaker 1: you have to agree, number one, and you have to
- 18:07Speaker 1: be truthful. How about if one day you're my accountability partner?
- 18:11Speaker 1: This is just an example. Amen. This is just an example.
- 18:16Speaker 1: It's not true. I'm not going to say this never happened.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Imagine Brother John was my accountability partner and he called
- 18:23Speaker 1: me and I'm having the worst day of my life.
- 18:25Speaker 1: I just don't want to talk about it. Brother John
- 18:27Speaker 1: would ask me, hey, how's your day? How's this situation
- 18:31Speaker 1: in your life? Are you okay? He's holding me accountable
- 18:35Speaker 1: to some things that we were sharing amongst each other.
- 18:37Speaker 1: This never happened. I'm just using Brother John as an example.
- 18:41Speaker 1: And I could literally lie and say, yeah, everything's good.
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm okay. I'm good. Right? So that's why, you know,
- 18:47Speaker 1: to me, accountability has to work both ways. And we
- 18:51Speaker 1: have to be honest. Right? Sometimes people are not honest
- 18:55Speaker 1: when they're being held accountable. So there's a difference between
- 19:00Speaker 1: lovingly correcting someone and condemning someone when they do something wrong.
- 19:06Speaker 1: We know that God, there's no condemnation for those who
- 19:09Speaker 1: are in Christ Jesus. So there should be no person
- 19:13Speaker 1: approaching you or me who says they're in Christ Jesus
- 19:17Speaker 1: condemning you or me. Very simple, logical way of thinking, right?
- 19:25Speaker 1: So there's a difference between lovingly correcting someone condemning someone
- 19:31Speaker 1: and when people usually are having that condemning spirit that
- 19:35Speaker 1: pointing finger is usually because they have a proud heart
- 19:39Speaker 1: or hypocritical heart if you think about it amen this
- 19:43Speaker 1: might be a little bit internal for believers so unbelievers,
- 19:46Speaker 1: excuse me for a minute. Amen? This might be just
- 19:49Speaker 1: a message for the church or for believers right now,
- 19:53Speaker 1: what I'm saying. But if you read Romans chapter 2,
- 19:57Speaker 1: the whole chapter, I want you to ask yourself a question.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Is it possible when he talks about unrepentant heart, can
- 20:04Speaker 1: a believer have an unrepentant hard heart? Just a question. Amen.
- 20:10Speaker 1: And I don't have enough time to get on to
- 20:12Speaker 1: all the details. But I had to read this because
- 20:15Speaker 1: I was like, wait, who's the apostle talking to? It
- 20:18Speaker 1: was the first time I ever thought about it that
- 20:20Speaker 1: way when I was going through this study. Right. Through
- 20:24Speaker 1: this morning Devo prior to today. So just something to
- 20:28Speaker 1: think about. Jesus taught us to examine ourselves for sure,
- 20:31Speaker 1: for sure, for sure. Right. Matthew chapter seven, verses three
- 20:35Speaker 1: to five. Read it for yourself. Jesus taught us to
- 20:38Speaker 1: examine ourselves before pointing out another person's faults. He never said,
- 20:46Speaker 1: don't judge. I know a lot of people say, Jesus said,
- 20:49Speaker 1: don't judge. He said, do not judge or you too
- 20:52Speaker 1: will be judged in the same measure you judge somebody else.
- 20:55Speaker 1: He didn't say, don't judge. Of course, it's going to
- 20:58Speaker 1: be judgment. And he's the righteous judge. So it would
- 21:03Speaker 1: be hypocritical for the Lord Jesus to tell us not
- 21:06Speaker 1: to judge when he himself is going to judge. Think
- 21:09Speaker 1: about it. Just a logical way of thinking. Amen. I
- 21:11Speaker 1: know this is a morning devo, but we could think
- 21:14Speaker 1: in the morning. I hope you could think in the morning. Amen.
- 21:17Speaker 1: So Jesus taught us to examine ourselves. So I guess
- 21:23Speaker 1: that's another internal message for believers. Amen. Because unbelievers, think
- 21:29Speaker 1: about it, don't have Holy Spirit God teaching them these principles.
- 21:32Speaker 1: That's why grace is very important. Love and kindness is
- 21:36Speaker 1: very important when we approach someone with these type of matters.
- 21:40Speaker 1: And now, I think personally, we're not supposed to be
- 21:43Speaker 1: judging outsiders. Judgment comes first to the house of the Lord,
- 21:47Speaker 1: the Bible says. People who are outside of the kingdom
- 21:50Speaker 1: of God don't even know that they're in bondage to sin.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Did you know that you were in bondage to sin
- 21:55Speaker 1: before Christ Jesus saved me? I didn't know. I thought
- 21:58Speaker 1: I was just going with the flow. You couldn't tell
- 22:01Speaker 1: me I was doing anything wrong when I wasn't saved.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I was just doing everything everybody else was doing. I
- 22:06Speaker 1: was doing the same things that everybody else was doing. Amen?
- 22:10Speaker 1: So I think we couldn't even judge each other at
- 22:13Speaker 1: that point when we were lost. So, Jesus is the
- 22:19Speaker 1: key here. So before you criticize someone today, pause. Selah.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Have a Selah moment. Pause and ask yourself, am I
- 22:29Speaker 1: struggling with the same thing myself? So before I approach
- 22:34Speaker 1: So and so with this, am I struggling with the thing?
- 22:37Speaker 1: And if I am, I should release myself from that correction.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Go to a brother, right, and say, hey, I need
- 22:45Speaker 1: to pray for myself. Don't start gossip praying, you know.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I don't want to, you know, I shouldn't be saying this, whatever,
- 22:52Speaker 1: but let's pray for something. Pray for me because I'm
- 22:56Speaker 1: in a situation, right, that I'm seeing things. But if
- 22:59Speaker 1: I'm struggling with the same area, help me. Let's go
- 23:03Speaker 1: to the Lord together so you can help me figure
- 23:05Speaker 1: this out. Am I struggling with the same issue? So
- 23:09Speaker 1: before you criticize someone else, ask yourself, are you struggling
- 23:13Speaker 1: with the same issue? Or am I speaking out of
- 23:17Speaker 1: love or pride, arrogance? A lot of people don't realize
- 23:23Speaker 1: that they speak down to you. I'm one. If you
- 23:27Speaker 1: want to know one of my touch points, Speak down
- 23:31Speaker 1: on me and you're going to find out. I think
- 23:33Speaker 1: we should be speaking to each other. I don't think
- 23:36Speaker 1: there's anybody above or below us. We're all the same here.
- 23:40Speaker 1: We're all on this same broken, fallen world. And if
- 23:44Speaker 1: you're born again, we all have the same spirit. The same.
- 23:48Speaker 1: No different spirit. No different measure. Your Holy Spirit is
- 23:53Speaker 1: more powerful than my Holy Spirit. I don't think that's
- 23:56Speaker 1: the case. We have the same spirit that rose Jesus
- 23:59Speaker 1: from the grave. So together, we're better. Separate, divided, we
- 24:05Speaker 1: are not good, right? This is not like the, you know,
- 24:10Speaker 1: we have a united family of God, not a divided
- 24:13Speaker 1: family of God. So am I speaking out of love
- 24:17Speaker 1: or pride? Or you could ask yourself, am I seeking
- 24:20Speaker 1: to restore this person or simply to prove them wrong?
- 24:25Speaker 1: You could go ahead, prove me wrong all day. I
- 24:29Speaker 1: don't know. what that would benefit anyone. Wouldn't benefit me,
- 24:32Speaker 1: wouldn't benefit you. But some people move that way in
- 24:36Speaker 1: their life. I'm going to prove that person wrong. I'm
- 24:39Speaker 1: going to expose this person. I'm going to expose that person.
- 24:42Speaker 1: And they move that way. Really, who benefits from that?
- 24:47Speaker 1: The only time I think exposing should be something that
- 24:50Speaker 1: we should key in is if we see that there's
- 24:53Speaker 1: a leader representing the church of Christ that's sending people
- 25:00Speaker 1: in the wrong direction. We should expose that to help
- 25:02Speaker 1: those other people that are in this kind of hypnosis.
- 25:06Speaker 1: I don't know how else to explain it. Help them
- 25:09Speaker 1: out of there, right? But to expose people's sin, we
- 25:14Speaker 1: can do that all day, every day. I could stop
- 25:16Speaker 1: doing morning devos and dedicate the rest of my life
- 25:19Speaker 1: to exposing sin. Sin is everywhere. It's very easy. But
- 25:23Speaker 1: how about how to deal with sin according to how God,
- 25:27Speaker 1: as a righteous judge, deals with sin? That's something different, right?
- 25:32Speaker 1: So instead of spending your day, your nights, scrolling, exposing
- 25:37Speaker 1: someone else's failures, why don't you allow the Holy Spirit
- 25:41Speaker 1: to reveal areas where we need growth, where I need growth. Amen?
- 25:47Speaker 1: I think about this often. Amen? So remember, God is
- 25:50Speaker 1: not asking you to be someone else's judge. He's calling
- 25:54Speaker 1: us to walk in truth, to walk in humility. That's key,
- 26:00Speaker 1: I think, and to reflect the character of our Lord
- 26:03Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. So I know there's a lot here. Read
- 26:05Speaker 1: the whole chapter for yourself. We were in Romans chapter two,
- 26:08Speaker 1: verse number one. Amen. Judgment is a big, big issue
- 26:13Speaker 1: concerning the church and how we should be moving when
- 26:17Speaker 1: it comes to this areas, right? So I don't have
- 26:19Speaker 1: all the answers, but let's go to the one who
- 26:21Speaker 1: does have all the answers, the Lord Jesus Christ and
- 26:24Speaker 1: his word. So I'm out of time. Thank you so much.
- 26:26Speaker 1: I know this was a little heavy. Amen. than usual.
- 26:29Speaker 1: I was a born in Devo. Judgment is a big topic. Amen.
- 26:34Speaker 1: But I believe that that's where the Lord led me.
- 26:36Speaker 1: So I believe that's where he wanted me to go today. Amen.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Brother John, wishing you and your family a blessed day
- 26:42Speaker 1: as well. God bless you, my brother, my friend. So
- 26:44Speaker 1: God bless you all. God keep you all. Remember always
- 26:49Speaker 1: that God is good. Peace.
