  pads come out? Because I think you've seen this too, sir.

  Are certain guys who speed their play speed changes once

  they get these bulky pads. And then there are certain

  guys who are just like j Brown, doesn't matter pads

  come out. He's a Corvette, you know, no matter what.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, the the urgency ratchets up a little bit when

  the pads come on. So yeah, there's no no, I

  know they're not hitting, but we got the thud, you know,

  they've only had three practices. But we got intel on

  some interesting situations shot something we actually have not talked

  Speaker 1: I want to get just some of your own perspective

  from because the last time we did a podcast, I

  had been to a practice, Andrew had been to all
• 7:19
  of them, and now you've been to one.

  Speaker 4: What caught your attention?

  Speaker 3: I mean I'd heard some you know. I always gathered
• 7:24
  information from people and you know, getting and I make
• 7:27
  my own judgments or evaluations when I'm there and then
• 7:30
  follow up with other people.

  Speaker 2: But he and I know people, Oh, Hurts had a
• 7:35
  bad day. He didn't have a bad day on Saturday.

  That First of all, you have to have context. This
• 7:40
  is the problem when some media go to practices. A
• 7:43
  guy missed his forethroats, so he's had a bad practice.

  He didn't have bad practice. He had a couple that
• 7:47
  were deflected.

  Speaker 3: He had won.

  Speaker 2: And I again, they didn't drop that. I would argue

  because it happened right in front of me. There was

  a there was a there was a nine route from

  Hurts to aj Brown. Brown had leverage on Ringo, but

  it was sort of a moon ball. It was a

  high arching ball. I thought Ringo ran in a Brown.

  No flag was called. The rest are there or at

  every practice, I think just about they hadn't call it.

  I would have called it, because again I saw it,

  they didn't call it. I thought Ringo got away with something,

  now did he? He had a couple inaccurate throws. That's

  going to happen. Here's what I did. Like this is important.

  There are and we saw this also, if you saw

  Tanner McKee there, he did this as well. There were

  a number of inside the numbers throws. Because we know

  that it's true. Is the fact is the tape shows it.

  Hurts is not. He's not inside the numbers thrower. And

  this is this offense to me is it's not. They're

  running a lot of the same stuff in last year,

  but Patullo's offenses. Someone to work with him told me

  might be a little bit more West Coast based. And

  again this is only one practice, but I like the

  timing routes got. It was very active.

  Speaker 3: I liked seeing that and running after the catch which

  he's he's standing at.

  some big time tight winterer FROs. It's kind of stuff

  them first, all of a sudden, he's not doing well.

  You gotta be careful with what you see and who's

  Speaker 1: Yeah, if this is an intentional thing, because this was

  the same observation I made in the practice I went

  to he threw he threw a ball to Dallas Goddard

  along the left scene between three people that if it

  was not put where it was at the time that

  it was, it would have been either deflected or intercepted

  or maybe.

  it's a it's a part of the game he wants

  to improve on or work on, I think that that's fantastic.

  And the fact that I wasn't there for the next

  me think that maybe it is a part of his game.

  He's trying to do more starting at training camp. Andrew

  de Cheko brought up a great point. We've seen things

  at training camp. We've seen things repetitively happen at training

  camp and then just completely disappear in the regular season.

  So I also don't want to put too much stock

  into it, but it's it's been a pretty good development

  to see and something that we can continue to follow throughout.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, and remember as we talked about a couple of

  years ago. We were all there, me, you and Andrew

  were at training camp and Swift was catching. It's seemingly

  like ten passes at practice. We're got all right, it's

  definitely happening. Yeah, this is why they trade for Gandre

  Swift and then doanndree Swift as a cure high in

  carriage and yards as a rusher and not as a
• 10:38
  pass country.

  Speaker 3: But it's barely used.

  Speaker 2: Right, Like you said, like you can only go by

  what you see, and it's only three practices. But as

  We just go by what we see. And we got

  full two years ago and met it. We you could

  say we missed on.

  was just it seemed like to be every practice Swift

  was catching. In fact, he caught some downfield passes. I

  saw some checkdowns. Colin McCord has a pretty good feel

  It's way too early to call it's way too early

  to call that that that battle McCord versus DTR, way

  too early. We only have three practices. I know some

  people are like, could they really keep four quarterbacks? Well,

  they kept seven friends of tackles to start. Uh, this

  was it seven two years ago?

  I almost thought it's it's unfair, not unfair.

  Speaker 4: Listen, the coach wants to.

  Speaker 1: Put a player in position to succeed, but they ran

  a whole lot of I don't know if it's RPO

  or his zone read, but he ran the ball quite

  a bit and look in a design manner, which is fine.

  Speaker 4: That's if you if you're using DTR, you want to

  do that.

  Speaker 1: But how do you then compare him, Like when do

  you when you want to keep a quarterback over a

  guy that you're throwing the ball with one hundred percent

  of the time. Eventually, you have to let dtr throw

  the ball too. But again, he may it might be

  an RPO, maybe there may be the opportunities there, but

  he's dialing his own number.

  who gets to go to the training camp practice, which

  you're generally season ticket holders or business clients, or if

  you go to the night practice, the one practice the link,

  watch Tanner McKee get the ball of his hands quickly
• 14:41
  and you'll see the run after the cash yardage because
• 14:47
  he processes quickly. And for the second straight off season,
• 14:53
  he's moving pretty well. He moves better than you think
• 14:55
  because he looked like a statue in his first training
• 14:58
  camp two years ago. But not he starts seeing him
• 15:01
  move better and more mobile, and he can move better,
• 15:03
  and you think, and he's a big dude with an
• 15:06
  absolute cannon for an arm, and that it's funny because
• 15:10
  you see hurts, hurts could hurts could wellin twenty yards
• 15:14
  that ball comes out like he comes out really powerful
• 15:16
  right in front of you. But obviously McKay Keane McKee
• 15:21
  is a giant. I mean, he's a really tall dude.

  Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, tall, big strong arm, and you can see

  the mobility gets sort of get better by the year
• 15:29
  as he gets more comfortable with the offense.

  Speaker 4: He's not a statue, as we know.

  Speaker 1: He's also not you know, uh, Steve Young, but he

  can get around the pocket a little bit there.

  lot of dink and dunk there there. I think the

  one person who kind of caught a pass and got able.

  when you were there Terrist Marshall sort of starting to

  find a nice little rhythm with Hurts.

  You're seeing his size. He's in his six three range.

  He's well built, he stands out.

  and it's applying himself. It's a brout, I'm told, bringing

  energy every practice throughout the practice, not for half of

  it so far. He's got good energy, he's bringing it

  so far. He's on his third team, he's been cut before,

  so he knows at some point you're gonna run out
• 16:40
  of chances. So he's definitely his urgency and there's a

  real chance here to make this football team. There's no

  question about it.

  Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, the one thing I gleaned while just

  watching him at training camp was you can see why

  he was a top I think fifty pick right or

  hundred in the row. The way he runs, I mean,

  he's he's got a lot of natural abilities, you know,

  like the old Greg co.

  caught myself wondering, man, like, what is his what is

  his ceiling? If he really does maintain focus all camp

  long and puts it all together because he's the type

  of guy you can see Jalen Hurts trusting because he's big,

  strong end can run.

  pretty impressed.
