- 0:07Speaker 1: Kindness goes a long way in the world today, a
- 0:10Speaker 1: simple smile or a helping hand to someone in need
- 0:13Speaker 1: can make all the difference. However, many see kindness as
- 0:18Speaker 1: a weakness and are ready to take full advantage of
- 0:21Speaker 1: those that they can. In today's case, a teenage girl
- 0:25Speaker 1: who's just trying to be kind by being a model
- 0:28Speaker 1: for a friend's photography portfolio would instead become a victim,
- 0:34Speaker 1: and the so called friend photographed her last moments before death.
- 0:40Speaker 1: This is the story of seventeen year old Georgia Williams.
- 0:45Speaker 2: My name's Ben, I'm Nicole, and you're listening to Wicked
- 0:49Speaker 2: and Grim, a true crime podcast.
- 0:53Speaker 1: The following podcast and material intended for a mature audience listeners.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I'm getting on every single one of Nichole's nerves this morning.
- 1:25Speaker 1: She is glared at me several times already, and we've
- 1:28Speaker 1: barely gotten out of bed. You don't say I do
- 1:32Speaker 1: say my apologies, my apologies.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Well, we just have different energy levels this morning, let's
- 1:39Speaker 2: put it at that.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Yeah, we definitely do. And I probably don't need this
- 1:43Speaker 1: coffee that I'm currently drinking, but I'm drinking it and
- 1:45Speaker 1: it's good. It's hitting right and it's helping even more.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Were probably making.
- 1:49Speaker 2: It worse and you're probably making it worse.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yeah, one of the two. It's helping me, it's making
- 1:53Speaker 1: it worse for you.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Oh my goodness. So this case, you shared a teen
- 2:00Speaker 2: tiny bit about it with me. I did like ding, dang,
- 2:02Speaker 2: we're doing it.
- 2:03Speaker 1: A we're doing it.
- 2:04Speaker 2: It's gonna shock the shit out of me. I know it.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Well, we are having a couple doozies of a case
- 2:09Speaker 1: leading up to Halloween week here because we are only
- 2:11Speaker 1: a few days out. So when we have our Friday
- 2:15Speaker 1: episode that kicks off seven straight days, which is Halloween
- 2:20Speaker 1: Week of Weakening, Oh my goodness.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Okay, it's this Friday already.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Yeah. Wow, So Halloween's almost here, pasing just around the corner.
- 2:31Speaker 1: We got lots to plan out and well we've got
- 2:33Speaker 1: all planned it. We've got lots to do, let's put
- 2:35Speaker 1: it that way. So it's gonna be good.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's exciting. I feel like it kind of creeped
- 2:40Speaker 2: up on us this year.
- 2:41Speaker 1: It really has. And we've got lots of stuff of
- 2:44Speaker 1: course over for Patreon as well. Which speaking of Patreon,
- 2:47Speaker 1: we we got to thank our patrons who signed up
- 2:48Speaker 1: this week so thank you to Rochelle, Tony Shadele, I
- 2:53Speaker 1: think is how you say your last name, Lune's, Michelle Freeman,
- 2:56Speaker 1: Laura Goosh and Body the Miniature Azzy love that they
- 3:01Speaker 1: have their dog highlighted there, Kelly Landon, Daniel mcguinnis, and
- 3:06Speaker 1: Ray c. So thank you very much for signing up
- 3:09Speaker 1: on Patreon. You can find the link in the description
- 3:11Speaker 1: if you're interested. Currently, we've been doing a thirty one
- 3:14Speaker 1: days of Halloween movie countdown, and since we are now
- 3:18Speaker 1: officially getting close to Halloween itself, we're starting to make
- 3:22Speaker 1: a shift from like the horror and thriller into like
- 3:25Speaker 1: Halloween specific movies. So but it's been good. This whole
- 3:29Speaker 1: list has been fun to put together.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Yeah, super fun.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Yeah, super fun, super fun. It's not super funny, but
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's super fun. That didn't really work. I tried.
- 3:42Speaker 2: You did for effort. I guess right, Thank you.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Thank you. Effort is what matters the most. Are you
- 3:48Speaker 1: excited for Halloween Week? Are you? What's what are you
- 3:51Speaker 1: most excited for? Actually? No, I'm thinking about it.
- 3:56Speaker 2: That's a doozy of a question.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I know what's been talked about a few times with
- 4:00Speaker 1: some messages on Patreon. People love that we do the
- 4:05Speaker 1: three urban Legends, and I've been tentative over if I
- 4:09Speaker 1: can pull it off year after year, because hey, there's
- 4:12Speaker 1: only so many urban legends that you can actually find
- 4:14Speaker 1: facts on and improve. So with these urban legends, we
- 4:19Speaker 1: usually do like two false ones and a true one
- 4:21Speaker 1: and Nicole's got a guess which is true and false
- 4:24Speaker 1: or two false one true, And so I have found
- 4:27Speaker 1: sufficient cases legends if you will to actually do it
- 4:34Speaker 1: again this year, and it is happening, there you.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Go because last year like this might be the last year.
- 4:38Speaker 1: No, it's I mean, this might be the last year now.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I honestly I think that's what it's going to be,
- 4:43Speaker 1: is every single year it might be the last year,
- 4:46Speaker 1: because I take the entire year to scour and dive
- 4:50Speaker 1: and try and find these good enough cases to actually
- 4:53Speaker 1: do it, to try and fool you. Because when you
- 4:55Speaker 1: actually look up urban legends, there's probably the same twenty cases,
- 5:00Speaker 1: maybe even twenty to thirty cases or stories that just
- 5:03Speaker 1: repeat from article to article. They're all the freaking scene.
- 5:08Speaker 1: So I mean, I can go on like Reddit, but
- 5:11Speaker 1: then it's just you know, well, my uncle once told
- 5:14Speaker 1: me that on his farm this happened. Okay, Well there's
- 5:17Speaker 1: no substantial, substantial evidence or anything, so it's just you know,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I can't report on that.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Well, to answer your question, you're like chatty today.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Sorry, I'm excited for Halloween week and my energy level
- 5:29Speaker 1: is high. I don't having any coffee.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Am I gonna get to answer this question or not?
- 5:34Speaker 2: So anyway? Sorry, No, it's only fine, but you are.
- 5:38Speaker 2: We are definitely different energy levels today. I think that's
- 5:40Speaker 2: the best way to put it. But I would have
- 5:43Speaker 2: to say probably putting out our little photo shoot because
- 5:47Speaker 2: you're holding those hostage from me. I can't make my
- 5:50Speaker 2: profile picture one of those photos you release them, So no.
- 5:53Speaker 1: On Friday, we're gonna put those out.
- 5:55Speaker 2: And I also think they're just so cute, so I
- 5:57Speaker 2: want to share those. I think I like, yeah this,
- 6:00Speaker 2: I'm going to say that.
- 6:02Speaker 1: That's what you're gonna say. You're going to say either
- 6:03Speaker 1: cute and you like them?
- 6:04Speaker 2: Well that my favorite. What I'm most excited about is.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Oh see, I see what you're saying. Gotcha. Yeah, okay,
- 6:10Speaker 1: fair enough, that's a good thing to be excited about. Yeah,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I'm personally excited for the return of jacko.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I did forget about Jacko?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Would you forget about Jacko?
- 6:21Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know. Okay, yeah, that's pretty damp.
- 6:25Speaker 2: I mean, gosh, the whole damn week is exciting.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It pretty much is the best. Let's not not lie here,
- 6:31Speaker 1: like Christmas can take a hike, just kidding.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I keep seeing so many means where it's like staying
- 6:37Speaker 2: your loan because Christmas and Halloween now it's like almost competing,
- 6:42Speaker 2: like in stores and like shelfs and stuff, right, which
- 6:45Speaker 2: I just think is so odd.
- 6:46Speaker 1: But I think I think stores should wait for a
- 6:49Speaker 1: holiday to end before putting the uppers up one hundred percent,
- 6:53Speaker 1: Like what's the point.
- 6:54Speaker 2: It would make everyone's life easier because then they don't
- 6:57Speaker 2: have to find all this room too and stuff, right Yeah.
- 7:00Speaker 1: And it would make like getting excited for the holiday
- 7:04Speaker 1: much better because it's like, oh, we're going to go
- 7:06Speaker 1: shop for Halloween candy, Halloween decorations because you know what
- 7:10Speaker 1: it's coming up in a couple of weeks. And then
- 7:11Speaker 1: you go and it's like, oh, well, we're walking through
- 7:14Speaker 1: Christmas stuff while we're in the Halloween mood. So then
- 7:17Speaker 1: when you go to actually go to the store for
- 7:19Speaker 1: looking for Christmas things. You've already seen half of it.
- 7:22Speaker 1: It's already worn off. You weren't excited, like you know
- 7:24Speaker 1: what I mean. Yeah, when you go for Christmas things,
- 7:27Speaker 1: that's when the Christmas thing should be there, not when
- 7:29Speaker 1: you go for Halloween things.
- 7:31Speaker 2: No, totally, But I digress. Okay, let's do this.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Okay, this is a bit of a long intro. Sorry
- 7:37Speaker 1: for that one, guys, We got a little bit. I'm
- 7:38Speaker 1: a little bit chatty today. But let's dive into this case.
- 7:41Speaker 1: So this is the case, the story of Georgia Williams.
- 7:45Speaker 1: So we start in a peaceful countryside in Shropshire, England. Okay,
- 7:50Speaker 1: So would be here that this deep, painful mark that
- 7:54Speaker 1: this case would be would actually make shatter the close
- 7:59Speaker 1: knit community because it's it was a shocking one when
- 8:02Speaker 1: it occurred, to say the least. So this story starts
- 8:06Speaker 1: with the seventeen year old woman by the name of
- 8:08Speaker 1: Georgia Williams, who was full of life. Georgia was known
- 8:11Speaker 1: for her lively spirit and hope for the future, but
- 8:14Speaker 1: hidden underneath her bright personality were challenges that would ultimately
- 8:19Speaker 1: take her down this dark path that we're going to
- 8:21Speaker 1: go go on. Today.
- 8:23Speaker 2: So.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Georgia was born in September of September seventeenth, nineteen ninety five,
- 8:27Speaker 1: in Telford, Shropshire, which is a decent sized city approximately
- 8:31Speaker 1: with the population of one hundred and fifty thousand people.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Georgia grew up in a loving home with her parents,
- 8:37Speaker 1: Lynette and Steve Williams, with her older sister Scarlet along
- 8:40Speaker 1: with her Her family both provided her and of course
- 8:43Speaker 1: her sister as well, with a supportive environment growing up
- 8:46Speaker 1: and from an early age, Georgia adapted from the atmosphere
- 8:49Speaker 1: in her home and showed a very caring and nature herself.
- 8:54Speaker 1: She always went out out of her way and helped
- 8:57Speaker 1: others whenever she could, making sure that people around her
- 9:00Speaker 1: felt happy and included. It was a generous trait that
- 9:04Speaker 1: many admired in her. However, it would be the same
- 9:06Speaker 1: generosity and kindness that would eventually lead to a tragic end.
- 9:10Speaker 1: But before we get into that, we of course need
- 9:12Speaker 1: to continue a bit more into who Georgia was in
- 9:14Speaker 1: her earlier years.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Well, she sounds lovely so far.
- 9:17Speaker 1: It's very caring individual. Yeah, she had a very welcoming
- 9:21Speaker 1: and caring home growing up, and she fed off that
- 9:24Speaker 1: and it nurtured her into who she was now. It's
- 9:28Speaker 1: unfortunate to say, but Georgia also did face a bit
- 9:31Speaker 1: of bullying during her middle school years. Those who are
- 9:36Speaker 1: kind often do because, as I mentioned the intro people,
- 9:39Speaker 1: some people can see kindness as a weakness. But her
- 9:43Speaker 1: transition to high school marked a bit of a positive
- 9:45Speaker 1: change for her, where she found a good group of
- 9:47Speaker 1: friends and she began to hang out with them regularly,
- 9:49Speaker 1: and she even eventually became fairly well liked around the school.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Her leadership abilities developed and became very clear to her
- 9:57Speaker 1: and others as well around her even chosen to serve
- 10:01Speaker 1: as head girl at the school. Now, outside of school,
- 10:05Speaker 1: she pursued her interests in helping others once again by
- 10:08Speaker 1: joining the Air Cadets with the goal of one day
- 10:10Speaker 1: becoming a paramedic in the Royal Air Force. By the
- 10:14Speaker 1: time she turned seventeen, Georgia was working at a local
- 10:17Speaker 1: gas station. It was, by no means a glamorous employment
- 10:21Speaker 1: for Georgia. It was, you know, a way to make
- 10:23Speaker 1: some pocket money, gain some independence, and of course build
- 10:26Speaker 1: up her resume as she entered the workforce. But it
- 10:29Speaker 1: was here at this job that she would meet a
- 10:31Speaker 1: young man by the name of Jamie Reynolds, a twenty
- 10:33Speaker 1: two year old coworker who often seemed isolated and withdrawn
- 10:36Speaker 1: from his coworkers and those around him. Georgia, true to
- 10:40Speaker 1: her caring nature and who she was as a person,
- 10:43Speaker 1: began to reach out to him, wanting to make him
- 10:46Speaker 1: feel included with everyone else. So through her kindness, Jamie
- 10:50Speaker 1: gradually became more involved with his colleagues on the job,
- 10:54Speaker 1: you know, making a bit more jokes, joining in conversations,
- 10:57Speaker 1: completing tasks alongside one another. The kind of situation where
- 11:01Speaker 1: you know, you have a smile on your face, enjoying
- 11:04Speaker 1: your work while you're doing the day is going by
- 11:06Speaker 1: a little bit faster because you're having fun at the
- 11:08Speaker 1: same time. Kind of thing.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Right, Well, she's actually like making a difference in someone's life.
- 11:13Speaker 1: She is, and Jamie really began to open up and
- 11:16Speaker 1: he started to feel like he was, you know, like
- 11:18Speaker 1: like part of a team at work rather than just
- 11:20Speaker 1: punching the clocks. Now. Over time, Jamie began to develop
- 11:25Speaker 1: a little bit of feelings for Georgia, viewing her as
- 11:29Speaker 1: that one person who truly saw him like he felt
- 11:33Speaker 1: like a lot of people saw through him or looked
- 11:35Speaker 1: past him, but she saw him and that was a
- 11:38Speaker 1: big thing for Jamie. So despite his demeanor, he he
- 11:43Speaker 1: was somebody to her right and the person who truly
- 11:48Speaker 1: showed kindness to him was you know, the person that
- 11:50Speaker 1: he also gravitated to. So he grew, he grew to
- 11:54Speaker 1: have a lot more feelings for her, and Jamie hoped
- 11:56Speaker 1: that maybe she might have a bit more feelings for
- 11:59Speaker 1: him too.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Okay, So one day Jamie built up the courage to
- 12:04Speaker 1: approach her and told her about the feelings and how
- 12:07Speaker 1: he felt about her, and he kind of asked her out,
- 12:10Speaker 1: you know, yea, But it didn't go as he planned.
- 12:15Speaker 2: She did not have those same feelings.
- 12:17Speaker 1: She did not, but I mean, once again, true to
- 12:19Speaker 1: her good nature, she was very mindful of his feelings
- 12:22Speaker 1: and she kindly declined as politely as she could. She
- 12:25Speaker 1: told him that she was she really valued their friendship,
- 12:28Speaker 1: but it just wasn't interested in taking things any farther right. Yeah,
- 12:33Speaker 1: Jamie seemed to take it rather well. He told her
- 12:35Speaker 1: he understood and it was all okay. However, that was
- 12:39Speaker 1: only on the surface. Underneath all the calmness that he
- 12:42Speaker 1: showed Georgia there was something else entirely going on.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Oh oh man, hey, so he's not taking he's not
- 12:50Speaker 2: going to take this well, which is terrible, terrible, Yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 2: because he can't. Just like he has this feeling or whatever,
- 13:00Speaker 2: and like just because he does doesn't mean someone has
- 13:03Speaker 2: to also have it, right, And she's been so kind
- 13:06Speaker 2: to him, and then okay, well I'll just keep listening here.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Yeah, no, it's you're one hundred percent right. I mean,
- 13:12Speaker 1: she helped him. And now, of course there's the potential
- 13:17Speaker 1: of the story and how I'm kind of preluding it
- 13:20Speaker 1: that he's going to do something horrendous. But and if
- 13:25Speaker 1: that's the case, I mean that's a that's a that's
- 13:28Speaker 1: a dirty move. Yeah, someone was nice and showed kindness.
- 13:31Speaker 2: I was pretty cautious because I was like, I'm kind
- 13:33Speaker 2: of thinking maybe Jamie, Maybe we don't like Jamie. So
- 13:37Speaker 2: when I was listening to the story, But okay.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Well let's continue on the story and you can you
- 13:43Speaker 1: can make the decisions for yourself and we'll tell you
- 13:45Speaker 1: how this played out. So one day, while they were
- 13:48Speaker 1: both working together with their shifts at the gas station,
- 13:51Speaker 1: Jamie opened up to Georgia about his dissatisfaction with life,
- 13:56Speaker 1: you know, punching the nine to five, going to work
- 13:58Speaker 1: day in, day out, the rat race sort of situation.
- 14:02Speaker 1: He talked about wanting to leave the job and chase
- 14:05Speaker 1: something a little bit more meaningful. He knew exactly how
- 14:08Speaker 1: Georgia would react when he was saying this. He knew
- 14:11Speaker 1: how kind hearted she was, and he knew that she
- 14:15Speaker 1: would encourage him to chase whatever dream it was that
- 14:17Speaker 1: he had, and that's exactly what she did. Jamie mentioned
- 14:21Speaker 1: to Georgia that he had an interest in photography, and
- 14:25Speaker 1: Georgia supported the idea of him becoming a professional photographer
- 14:29Speaker 1: with the utmost enthusiasm. She's basically like, Yeah, I think
- 14:33Speaker 1: that's great. You should do that. That would be amazing,
- 14:35Speaker 1: good for you, Like, you have a dream, chase it.
- 14:38Speaker 2: He's just playing her, I feel like.
- 14:41Speaker 1: And Jamie was really excited about this, you know. So
- 14:45Speaker 1: he then asked her if she would help him build
- 14:48Speaker 1: his portfolio, and he asked her to be his first
- 14:52Speaker 1: model for a shoot. Now again, Georgia, with her kind
- 14:56Speaker 1: heart and good nature, was always wanting to help others,
- 15:00Speaker 1: so she.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Agreed, Well, yeah, also kind of like flattering, maybe too right,
- 15:04Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, sure.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Of course, which I mean she probably already knew that
- 15:09Speaker 1: he kind of like thought she looked really good, because
- 15:12Speaker 1: because he kind of already opened up being like, hey,
- 15:15Speaker 1: want to go out, So it's probably no surprise to her.
- 15:20Speaker 1: But at the same time, yeah, of course it is flattering.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Right. Well, she'll maybe get some dope photos and stuff.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Right, exactly right. So the TUDA discussed a few details
- 15:30Speaker 1: and they arranged a photoshoot for Sunday, May twenty sixth,
- 15:33Speaker 1: twenty thirteen, at Jamie's parents' house. And there was gonna
- 15:38Speaker 1: be a few mutual friends there, you know, a couple
- 15:40Speaker 1: I don't know, just hanging out or whatever. There's gonna
- 15:42Speaker 1: be more than just the two of them there, gonna
- 15:44Speaker 1: do a photo shoot. It's gonna be great sort of situation. Now,
- 15:47Speaker 1: as the weekend began to roll around, it's getting nearer
- 15:50Speaker 1: and nearer, Georgia found herself in a bit of a
- 15:53Speaker 1: situation as far as scheduling goes. See, her family had
- 15:57Speaker 1: now planned a barbecue for that very same day, and
- 16:00Speaker 1: her grandparents, who she hadn't seen in a long time,
- 16:03Speaker 1: would be attending. Okay, so she was stuck between helping
- 16:06Speaker 1: a friend chase a dream, or visiting her own family
- 16:09Speaker 1: for more selfish reasons, right.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Well, also like her grandparents. I'm sure want to see her.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Oh of course, of course, but it is more selfish reasons,
- 16:17Speaker 1: like I want to see my grandparents. Yeah, right, So
- 16:21Speaker 1: canceling the shoot was something she considered, but in the end,
- 16:24Speaker 1: she couldn't bear to let Jamie down. She said that
- 16:27Speaker 1: she was going to help him, so she was going
- 16:29Speaker 1: to help them.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Wow, what a good person.
- 16:32Speaker 1: She'd promised him, So she was going to help him
- 16:35Speaker 1: chase that dream. So she talked with her family and
- 16:39Speaker 1: she assured them that she would still attend the barbecue.
- 16:42Speaker 1: She's deciding to balance them out. She told them that
- 16:45Speaker 1: she would only be gone for a short time. Since
- 16:47Speaker 1: Jamie's house was just a five minute drive away, she
- 16:50Speaker 1: could help out her friend, then pop back over to
- 16:53Speaker 1: see everyone with plenty of time to spare.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Okay, so she's making it work to do both.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Exactly, She's making it work to do both. Going to
- 17:00Speaker 1: help out the friend, keep her word, help them chase
- 17:02Speaker 1: a dream, come home see your grandparents so they can
- 17:05Speaker 1: see her, and she can see them and have fun
- 17:08Speaker 1: with the family and probably enjoy some good barbecue food. Yeah,
- 17:11Speaker 1: that's the plan. So when the day came, Jamie and
- 17:16Speaker 1: Georgia were doing their thing. You know, they're getting ready
- 17:19Speaker 1: for the date. Jamie's probably getting this camera gear together
- 17:21Speaker 1: and Georgia was getting ready for being in front of
- 17:23Speaker 1: the lens. She styled her hair nicely, did her best
- 17:27Speaker 1: makeup look, and dressed in jeans and a leather jacket.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Oh wow.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Now she came out of her room and headed out
- 17:32Speaker 1: to the front door with her new look. Of course, right,
- 17:35Speaker 1: her father quickly gave her a compliment, telling her how
- 17:39Speaker 1: she looked beautiful and reminded him of Sandy from the
- 17:42Speaker 1: movie Grease.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, yeh, that's so sweet, I know.
- 17:47Speaker 1: They shared a moment of words of encouragement before she
- 17:50Speaker 1: walked out the door, never to be seen alive again.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Gosh kay, but also like so nice that I don't know,
- 18:01Speaker 2: how do you even word this because a lot of times,
- 18:03Speaker 2: you know, in cases like this, you leave and it's
- 18:05Speaker 2: just like cay see you later, like not but like
- 18:08Speaker 2: the dad actually like you know, didn't realize that was
- 18:11Speaker 2: the last time, but took the moment to like share
- 18:13Speaker 2: a compliment with her, right, which is kind of nice
- 18:16Speaker 2: it is.
- 18:17Speaker 1: And honestly, like we've had this discussion a few times
- 18:19Speaker 1: recently out in public, Like I try and compliment like strangers. Yeah,
- 18:25Speaker 1: I don't know it just a compliment can make someone's
- 18:27Speaker 1: day so much brighter and everything right. And in a
- 18:30Speaker 1: little moment like that, Yeah, they didn't know it was
- 18:33Speaker 1: gonna be the last time they'd ever see each other.
- 18:35Speaker 1: But because he took that small moment, that moment was
- 18:40Speaker 1: a good one.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Yeah, his last like little memory with her. Yeah, oh man,
- 18:44Speaker 2: my heart.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Oh so, George's family expected her to return shortly. She
- 18:49Speaker 1: said she wouldn't be long and was intending to still
- 18:51Speaker 1: visit the barbecue after all, right, Yeah, But as the
- 18:54Speaker 1: hours ticked past without any sign of her, their concern
- 18:57Speaker 1: slowly began to grow. At first, her mother wasn't too worried,
- 19:00Speaker 1: thinking Georgia might have just lost track of time during
- 19:03Speaker 1: the photoshoot or was just kind of hanging out with
- 19:05Speaker 1: friends or whatever, but she she sent her a quick
- 19:08Speaker 1: text to check in, asking you know when she would
- 19:10Speaker 1: be coming home Georgia. She received a text back from
- 19:14Speaker 1: Georgia said the photoshoot had ended earlier and that she
- 19:17Speaker 1: was spending time with friends. She also mentioned that she
- 19:21Speaker 1: might be home late, signing off with her message with
- 19:23Speaker 1: her usual like three little kissy face emojis. Okay, yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 1: now it was against the original plan, but we've all
- 19:32Speaker 1: been in a situation where we're hanging out with friends,
- 19:34Speaker 1: you know, it kind of like, oh, we're having some
- 19:35Speaker 1: really good time or whatever, like another half an hour,
- 19:38Speaker 1: you know, I'll hang out just for a little bit longer.
- 19:40Speaker 2: You kind of just like lose track of time.
- 19:41Speaker 1: And yeah, exactly these things kind of happened. So her
- 19:44Speaker 1: mother wasn't too worried. So her mother, you know, reassured
- 19:47Speaker 1: the family that she got this message, and yeah, that's
- 19:52Speaker 1: about it. Even if plans had changed, you know, that's that.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Yeah, it doesn't it. Also, I wonder if it was
- 19:58Speaker 2: like a little bit out of care though too, right,
- 20:00Speaker 2: because she did say she'd be back, and.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Yeah she did, so it could have potentially been out
- 20:05Speaker 1: a character, but yeah, for sure, I mean, Georgia had
- 20:09Speaker 1: always been very responsible, but there was no reason to
- 20:12Speaker 1: suspect anything. But as the night stretched out, her parents
- 20:15Speaker 1: went to bed and there was still no sign of Georgia.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Worry was beginning to set in a bit, but they
- 20:21Speaker 1: assumed that they would wake up in the morning to
- 20:23Speaker 1: their teenage daughter at home, you know, asleep in the bed, right,
- 20:26Speaker 1: oh man. However, when they woke up the following day,
- 20:30Speaker 1: they realized Georgia still was not home. The reality finally
- 20:36Speaker 1: set in. Her mother text again at six thirty am,
- 20:39Speaker 1: asking why she hadn't come home and where she was.
- 20:42Speaker 1: There was no response, not until an hour later, anyways,
- 20:45Speaker 1: when a text finally came back from Georgia saying that
- 20:47Speaker 1: she had stayed the night at a friend's house and
- 20:49Speaker 1: her phone battery was running low. She told her mom
- 20:52Speaker 1: that she didn't run to respond again, it was because
- 20:54Speaker 1: her phone battery had died. Now, to us, I think
- 20:58Speaker 1: it's probably obvious that something's going on here, and that's
- 21:01Speaker 1: because I mean, of course, hindsight's twenty twenty. We're sitting
- 21:04Speaker 1: here discussing a tragic event. So we have our you know,
- 21:09Speaker 1: our vision ready, we're looking for these things.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Our spidy sense is already high, exactly.
- 21:14Speaker 1: But for George's family, they were left scratching their head
- 21:16Speaker 1: and trying trying to believe their daughter. You know, like, Okay,
- 21:19Speaker 1: she's usually pretty responsible. She is seventeen, she's a teenager.
- 21:24Speaker 1: She's becoming an adult. She's allowed to kind of do
- 21:27Speaker 1: these things a bit more now, you.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Know, well, and she is answering them right, like exactly,
- 21:32Speaker 2: and maybe, you know, in being seventeen, maybe she's a
- 21:34Speaker 2: bit more defiant at this age.
- 21:36Speaker 1: So it's new territory for them, and they're believing their daughter.
- 21:41Speaker 1: They're like, Okay, we'll just figure this out when we
- 21:42Speaker 1: get home. We'll discuss boundaries if she wants to be
- 21:45Speaker 1: out later or if we need her home or communication boundaries.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Who knows, but they're believing her daughter, their daughter. Yeah,
- 21:51Speaker 1: and that's kind of that. They're waiting just for her
- 21:54Speaker 1: to come home so they can figure it out now.
- 21:57Speaker 1: The date at this point is May twenty seventh, following
- 22:00Speaker 1: day right, and George's parents expected her to come home anytime,
- 22:05Speaker 1: but it never happened. By the next morning, on May
- 22:08Speaker 1: twenty eighth, Georgia Wow. Georgia had a driving lesson scheduled,
- 22:12Speaker 1: one that she was really excited for in fact, and
- 22:14Speaker 1: she needed to be home so she can get to
- 22:16Speaker 1: it in time, and she never made it home in
- 22:18Speaker 1: time for that driving lesson. Her parents were left extremely
- 22:23Speaker 1: worried and honestly at this point scared. Well, yeah, they
- 22:26Speaker 1: waited up all night for her, but there was still
- 22:29Speaker 1: no sign of her. Desperate for answers, they started contacting friends, family,
- 22:35Speaker 1: hoping someone had heard from her, some sort of sign
- 22:37Speaker 1: knowing anything, but unfortunately, no one had seen or spoken
- 22:40Speaker 1: to her in the previous few days. Her parents now
- 22:44Speaker 1: knew something was terribly wrong and immediately reported her missing
- 22:48Speaker 1: to the police.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Oh, man, like, I I mean, yeah, they just expected
- 22:53Speaker 2: that she would be coming home. It's crazy that much
- 22:55Speaker 2: time kind of went on though. Hey, but I mean
- 22:57Speaker 2: you're always like, no, like, she'll just be here. She'll
- 23:00Speaker 2: be here like the next hour, the next hour, yep. So,
- 23:03Speaker 2: and it makes sense.
- 23:04Speaker 1: And they are texting her, right, they are getting text
- 23:07Speaker 1: from her, right, She's been gone for what, like, I
- 23:09Speaker 1: think it's on the cusp of two and a half
- 23:11Speaker 1: days or so approximately when they finally call the authorities.
- 23:14Speaker 1: They were texting her for the first twenty four hours,
- 23:16Speaker 1: So it's only been probably about twenty four hours a
- 23:19Speaker 1: now or so around the right. That's a rough estimate.
- 23:21Speaker 1: But yeah, so of course, I mean if they didn't
- 23:25Speaker 1: hear back from her much sooner, I'm sure they would
- 23:28Speaker 1: have contacted police. Sooner. But they're being reassured by their daughter.
- 23:31Speaker 2: Yeah, or so they thought was their daughter, they thought yep.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Now, Unfortunately, the family couldn't tell authorities much about her disappearance,
- 23:38Speaker 1: but they were able to tell the authorities about the
- 23:42Speaker 1: photoshoot that Georgia was going to at a coworker's house,
- 23:46Speaker 1: a co worker by the name of Jamie Reynolds. But
- 23:50Speaker 1: from there they had no idea what happened. The police
- 23:52Speaker 1: took down the information and wasted no time launching a
- 23:55Speaker 1: full out investigation into George's whereabouts. The police quickly he
- 24:00Speaker 1: had it to Jamie's residence to ask him a few questions.
- 24:03Speaker 1: They approached his door and they knocked, but there was
- 24:09Speaker 1: no response. It was concerning for a moment, but the authorities,
- 24:15Speaker 1: since this could actually pose a threat to someone's life inside,
- 24:18Speaker 1: this is basically a welfare check, right, like someone's missing,
- 24:22Speaker 1: the police didn't hesitate to force their way into the home.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Oh, okay, they just did it.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, they just went in anyways. Good, but inside
- 24:29Speaker 1: there was neither Jamie or Georgia to be found. A
- 24:33Speaker 1: man hunt to find them was officially on, and it
- 24:36Speaker 1: was as it was unfolding investigators began digging into Jamie's history.
- 24:42Speaker 1: They were trying to find out what kind of person
- 24:43Speaker 1: they were dealing with, what kind of person he was,
- 24:45Speaker 1: or who they were looking for, and police were able
- 24:47Speaker 1: to uncover a few unsettling things from his background. In
- 24:51Speaker 1: two thousand and eight, Jamie had already come under police
- 24:54Speaker 1: scrutiny for attempting to strangle a local teenage girl. Despite
- 24:58Speaker 1: the say of severity of this situation the attack, there
- 25:02Speaker 1: was no criminal charges and the authorities let him off
- 25:05Speaker 1: with a warning, allowing him to walk free.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Holy shit, and that would have been a few years
- 25:10Speaker 2: prior to like this. It's been in.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Twenty thirteen when this is occurring, and this occurred in
- 25:14Speaker 1: twenty eight, two thousand and eight. They also learned from
- 25:19Speaker 1: coworkers at the gas station where they both worked at
- 25:22Speaker 1: that neither Jamie or Georgia had shown up for their
- 25:24Speaker 1: recent scheduled shifts. Jamie's parents, who were on vacation at
- 25:30Speaker 1: the time of this all occurring, were shocked at this
- 25:33Speaker 1: whole revelation, but thankfully they were able to help the
- 25:36Speaker 1: police a little bit by providing them with some key
- 25:39Speaker 1: details about the registration on the vehicle he drove a van,
- 25:42Speaker 1: and I assume it was kind of more so about
- 25:44Speaker 1: the license plate, like his license plate number. They gave
- 25:46Speaker 1: the police right but they were able to give some
- 25:48Speaker 1: details and with this information, authority sent out alerts nationwide
- 25:53Speaker 1: urging law enforcement to be on the lookout for Jamie's vehicle.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Okay, I just have to say, of course the parents
- 25:58Speaker 2: were on vacation because you had said earlier that the
- 26:02Speaker 2: photoshoot was at like his parents' house.
- 26:04Speaker 1: Correct.
- 26:04Speaker 2: She was like, how the fuck does that work? But okay,
- 26:07Speaker 2: that's how that works.
- 26:08Speaker 1: That's how that works. So it didn't take long before
- 26:11Speaker 1: police were able to actually track him down. It was
- 26:16Speaker 1: in Glasgow, Scotland, over two hundred and eighty miles from
- 26:19Speaker 1: his home in Shropshire. They found him on May thirtieth.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Glasgow police arrested Jamie at a small hotel on the
- 26:27Speaker 1: suspicion of kidnapping Georgia. He was immediately taken into custody
- 26:31Speaker 1: and of course questioning ensued right away, but Jamie held
- 26:35Speaker 1: onto the facade of innocence and he remained tight lipped,
- 26:39Speaker 1: denying any knowledge of Georgia's whereabouts what soever. Despite his
- 26:46Speaker 1: proclaimed innocence, Jamie was brought back to home. So there
- 26:51Speaker 1: at home they began further interrogation. So they went from
- 26:54Speaker 1: Scotland brought him back right, Yeah. So police also began
- 26:57Speaker 1: an intensive search of his house in hopes of finding
- 27:00Speaker 1: any sorts of evidence that could lead to George's recovery
- 27:04Speaker 1: or where she was or anything. And among the items
- 27:07Speaker 1: authority sees during the search was a camera and inside
- 27:10Speaker 1: it contained an SD card. Now, unfortunately that card had
- 27:15Speaker 1: been formatted, which if you know cameras at all, it
- 27:17Speaker 1: means you're basically deleting and wiping the card. But I
- 27:21Speaker 1: knew you were going to get ahead of me on
- 27:23Speaker 1: this one. If you're also unaware when you format a card,
- 27:28Speaker 1: files can still be recovered from it. The card still
- 27:32Speaker 1: contained some little bit of information that forensic experts quickly
- 27:37Speaker 1: got to work recovering. So you can actually recover deleted
- 27:41Speaker 1: files from a formatted card. You can't always recover all
- 27:44Speaker 1: of them, but.
- 27:45Speaker 2: It's especially easy too, because it sounds like like if
- 27:49Speaker 2: something was rewritten over the card, like another photo shoot.
- 27:52Speaker 2: I'm not sure how easy it would be to recover,
- 27:56Speaker 2: but it sounds like it wasn't.
- 27:58Speaker 1: The more times a card is formatted. The more difficult
- 28:01Speaker 1: it becomes. The more times there's photos rewritten over top
- 28:04Speaker 1: of that previous existing information, the more difficult becomes. But yeah,
- 28:08Speaker 1: it was in this situation like there's they basically just
- 28:12Speaker 1: plugged it into a program, hit recover, and let it
- 28:14Speaker 1: run for a few hours. It's pretty much all they'd
- 28:16Speaker 1: have to do.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Oh no, okay.
- 28:19Speaker 1: So when they did that, what they managed to uncover
- 28:21Speaker 1: would deliver an absolute chilling revelation to what happened to Georgia.
- 28:27Speaker 1: The files they recovered included several photographs from the photoshoot
- 28:32Speaker 1: with her, and at first, the images showed her in
- 28:35Speaker 1: ordinary poses, confirming that she had actually been at this
- 28:37Speaker 1: house as reported. You know, the photoshoot occurred. She appeared
- 28:41Speaker 1: relaxed and didn't seem like she was in any danger,
- 28:44Speaker 1: But as the investigators continued scrolling through the photos, the
- 28:47Speaker 1: tone took a very horrifying turn. The following images revealed
- 28:52Speaker 1: Georgia now in a state of distress. She had been
- 28:55Speaker 1: stripped nude and was standing on a red recycling bin
- 28:58Speaker 1: with her hands bound behind her back.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Holy shit.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Above her head, hanging from the rafters of the home
- 29:06Speaker 1: was a noose that was wrapped around her neck. The
- 29:10Speaker 1: images police were looking at now showed the moments right
- 29:15Speaker 1: before that bin was kicked out from underneath George's feet.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Hey, this guy.
- 29:23Speaker 1: Now to make matters even worse.
- 29:26Speaker 2: Whoa?
- 29:26Speaker 1: There was a video file that showed Jamie recorded the
- 29:31Speaker 1: entire incident. He coldly held the camera in his hands
- 29:36Speaker 1: and recorded as Georgia hung in front of him and
- 29:39Speaker 1: slowly fell motionless. It unfortunately did not end there. The
- 29:48Speaker 1: photo showed that Jamie took George's body down from the
- 29:50Speaker 1: rope after she had passed away, and he violated her
- 29:54Speaker 1: lifeless body in various rooms of the house, including his
- 29:58Speaker 1: parent's bed.
- 30:00Speaker 2: What do you mean exactly by like violated? Like sexually?
- 30:04Speaker 1: Yes? Oh, sexually assault?
- 30:06Speaker 2: Gosh, this guy is a complete disgusting piece of shit.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Yes, he sexually assaulted Georgia after she was deceased. So necrophilia?
- 30:17Speaker 2: Oh man, okay?
- 30:19Speaker 1: So he documented his actions through hundreds of photographs, positioning
- 30:25Speaker 1: her body in dehumanizing ways. He removed her jewelry and
- 30:31Speaker 1: kept them as trophy pieces for his crime. The police
- 30:35Speaker 1: continued combing through his home for more evidence and uncovering
- 30:39Speaker 1: and uncovered a staggering collection of sixteen thousand, eight hundred
- 30:44Speaker 1: graphic photographs and seventy two highly disturbing videos. These all
- 30:49Speaker 1: portrayed acts of violence, including sexual assaults and quote snuff
- 30:53Speaker 1: films that depicted torture and murder. Now, if you don't know,
- 30:57Speaker 1: snuff films or adult films that depict someone being murdered
- 31:01Speaker 1: in the climax of the film. So it's basically porn
- 31:05Speaker 1: with murder.
- 31:06Speaker 2: Hmm.
- 31:08Speaker 1: And that's where these images and videos were all depicting.
- 31:12Speaker 2: Hm. Oh, it is so hard to even know what
- 31:16Speaker 2: to say because this is there's so much out there too.
- 31:19Speaker 2: But like photographers, you know, going to like places or whatever,
- 31:24Speaker 2: and they're kind of in danger. But I guess like
- 31:26Speaker 2: the you know, the other way of it too, is there, right,
- 31:30Speaker 2: because he very easily got her there.
- 31:32Speaker 1: You all to do this rightly, So it could be
- 31:35Speaker 1: the model or it could be the photographer that's in danger.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Oh boy, what a light that's just been taken away
- 31:41Speaker 2: from this world.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, when authorities uncovered these photographs and videos and
- 31:48Speaker 1: the ones that he had already had stashed away, that
- 31:51Speaker 1: he'd saved from the Internet or whatever, right, they realized
- 31:54Speaker 1: that Jamie had been a viewer of this type of
- 31:56Speaker 1: content for an extremely long time. I mean, he had
- 31:59Speaker 1: a stash of sixteen thousand plus images that he'd saved
- 32:03Speaker 1: that he liked, that he was his collection, right, Okay,
- 32:06Speaker 1: And it's clear that he had aspirations to produce a
- 32:09Speaker 1: snuff film of his own and recording George's final moments.
- 32:14Speaker 1: He had fulfilled his sick fantasy.
- 32:18Speaker 2: Huh Okay. I mean, gosh, like she was so nice
- 32:23Speaker 2: to him. I wonder if this also he'd made this
- 32:26Speaker 2: decision too after like she turned him down. Then if
- 32:30Speaker 2: she didn't turn him down, would you have still made
- 32:32Speaker 2: this decision? You know, I'm assuming not. I don't know, though,
- 32:36Speaker 2: who knows.
- 32:36Speaker 1: We've got a bit we can talk about that here
- 32:38Speaker 1: in a little bit, so don't worry about that. That's
- 32:40Speaker 1: that's kind of coming up.
- 32:41Speaker 2: Okay, Okay.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Now, the evidence against Jamie was extreme, to say the least.
- 32:49Speaker 1: You'd think, like, there's no denying it. Right, there's video
- 32:52Speaker 1: and photos of him with Georgia's body, specifically, and when
- 32:56Speaker 1: his parents actually learned the full extent of this and
- 32:59Speaker 1: their son's actions, they rushed home from vacation to actually
- 33:01Speaker 1: meet with authorities about it all, But that's I digress
- 33:04Speaker 1: on that.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Well.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Yeah. The one thing they did disclosed during their conversation, though,
- 33:09Speaker 1: was that Jamie had actually been exposed to violent and
- 33:11Speaker 1: extreme pornography from a young age, from a long for
- 33:13Speaker 1: a long time, as young as fourteen, and while it's
- 33:16Speaker 1: possible his exposure actually started even earlier, when he was
- 33:19Speaker 1: even younger. They tried to block access to this type
- 33:22Speaker 1: of contact or content by getting in touch with their
- 33:25Speaker 1: Internet provider, but of course, where there's a will, there's
- 33:29Speaker 1: a way, and Jamie of course found a way.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Okay, but he like did it kind of on his own,
- 33:34Speaker 2: his own, Yes, he did this on his own.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Yeah. No, No, he was on the Internet and found
- 33:38Speaker 1: this sort of content. They discovered he was being I
- 33:42Speaker 1: was like.
- 33:42Speaker 2: How is he being exposed? Okay? I see.
- 33:44Speaker 1: They tried to put a stop to it by you know, firewalls,
- 33:48Speaker 1: blocking passwords, all this sort of stuff, but Jamie secretly
- 33:51Speaker 1: arranged his own private Wi Fi connection, yeah, which allowed
- 33:57Speaker 1: him to continue consuming this material without his parents knowing.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Mm hmm okay, wow, I mean I guess that would
- 34:05Speaker 2: be kind of easy to do because especially his generation
- 34:08Speaker 2: would be more tech savvy than them. Right, so definitely so.
- 34:13Speaker 1: When Jamie's parents first caught him watching these videos, they
- 34:16Speaker 1: reported it to police and child protective services. However, they
- 34:19Speaker 1: were informed that no legal action could be taken, as
- 34:22Speaker 1: simply viewing the content wasn't a crime in itself, right,
- 34:27Speaker 1: but it's a It's clear now that things were going
- 34:31Speaker 1: to be escalating far past simply viewing the content. So
- 34:36Speaker 1: investigators found a collection of forty stories that were written
- 34:40Speaker 1: by Jamie. So like handwritten stories, right, each was filled
- 34:45Speaker 1: with violent fantasies centered around harming, assaulting, and killing women.
- 34:52Speaker 1: One of the stories was titled quote Georgia Williams in Surprise.
- 35:00Speaker 1: It mirrored the events that unfolded almost exactly. The story
- 35:06Speaker 1: describes him watching her body quote dance as she died
- 35:11Speaker 1: by hanging.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Just sitting there watching this, say yeah.
- 35:16Speaker 1: It became clear that Jamie had likely planned George's murder
- 35:19Speaker 1: for months in advance, which, of course, crafting this poorly
- 35:24Speaker 1: written narrative became a horrifying reality. They found that he
- 35:30Speaker 1: had begun writing the story in January and completed it
- 35:34Speaker 1: just three weeks before he actually killed her, suggesting that
- 35:37Speaker 1: her death was part of a very calculated plan designed
- 35:41Speaker 1: to bring this sick fantasy to life. Now. I'm unaware
- 35:45Speaker 1: on when Jamie asked out Georgia and when she declined,
- 35:50Speaker 1: but he had been writing this story about her for months.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Yeah, so I mean, even if she did accept it,
- 36:00Speaker 2: still very much still could have happened.
- 36:02Speaker 1: It most likely would have because he had these fantasies already.
- 36:05Speaker 1: He was going to harm her, He was going to
- 36:09Speaker 1: do something if they were in a relationship.
- 36:12Speaker 2: Well, and he was waiting for like the right time too,
- 36:14Speaker 2: within his parents being away and yep, I don't know
- 36:17Speaker 2: how often they go away, but yeah, I don't know either.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Well, so Jamie knew he was caught. He stubbornly, though,
- 36:25Speaker 1: refused to provide any information about the location of George's
- 36:28Speaker 1: body and continued to insist he was innocent.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, at some point you have to just
- 36:34Speaker 2: be like, you know, they got me.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, right. This gave investigators no choice but
- 36:41Speaker 1: to instead of you know, getting a story from him,
- 36:44Speaker 1: they meticulously retraced jamie steps in the days following George's murder,
- 36:49Speaker 1: so they had to get all detective and figure out
- 36:52Speaker 1: the storyline instead of him telling them. Their search began
- 36:55Speaker 1: on the Monday morning after her death, starting at the
- 36:58Speaker 1: gas station where surveillancege captured Jamie refueling his van. Now,
- 37:04Speaker 1: unbeknownst to anyone at the time, George's lifeless body was
- 37:07Speaker 1: actually hidden in the back of that van. While refueling
- 37:11Speaker 1: and after filling up the van, Jamie drove about sixty
- 37:13Speaker 1: miles to a movie theater. Here he left George's body
- 37:18Speaker 1: in the back of the van, locked up, and walked
- 37:20Speaker 1: inside the theater. And here inside he went and watched
- 37:24Speaker 1: a movie.
- 37:25Speaker 2: He fucking actually went and just watched a movie.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Yeah, he went and watched a movie. It's messed up.
- 37:30Speaker 1: But what gets even more messed up is there some
- 37:32Speaker 1: psychologists who agree and believe that this was actually a
- 37:36Speaker 1: twisted attempt for him to fulfill his fantasy of taking
- 37:40Speaker 1: Georgia out on a date ah as if they were
- 37:44Speaker 1: seeing a movie together as a couple, even though she's dead.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Oh gross, Hey, isn't that fucked up?
- 37:50Speaker 2: Yeah? That really is so.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Unfortunately, after Jamie left the theater, law enforcement lost track
- 37:57Speaker 1: of his movements. But what they did do instead was
- 38:00Speaker 1: they issued a public appeal for any information from anyone
- 38:04Speaker 1: who might have seen this van around that time. And
- 38:07Speaker 1: it quickly paid off. Several people reported seeing Jamie's van
- 38:12Speaker 1: near the Nantigarth Mountain Paths, which is a heavily wooded
- 38:16Speaker 1: area near Wrexham known for its muddy and kind of
- 38:19Speaker 1: rough roads and terrain. There's one particular memory that stood
- 38:23Speaker 1: out among locals. One particular report that came in a
- 38:27Speaker 1: group of good Samaritans had helped Jamie get his van
- 38:29Speaker 1: out of the mud after he had gotten stuck, so
- 38:33Speaker 1: they were able to say, yes, he was there, his
- 38:35Speaker 1: van was in this area, this is where he was stuck. Right.
- 38:40Speaker 1: So police armed with this information focused their search around
- 38:44Speaker 1: that area, and before long, in this remote and secluded area,
- 38:50Speaker 1: the officers discovered George's deceased, unclothed body.
- 38:54Speaker 2: In the woods, buried or just like lay in there
- 38:57Speaker 2: or what I just discover arded gosh.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Her remains were carefully transported back to Shropshire, where a
- 39:07Speaker 1: post mortem examination revealed the cause of her death as
- 39:10Speaker 1: being exphyxiation, likely from ligature being applied to her neck,
- 39:14Speaker 1: which is no surprise.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Yeah, they kind of already knew that, I guess.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Additionally, there was bruising found in her back, which indicated
- 39:21Speaker 1: that Jamie had forcely pressed his knee down onto Georgia,
- 39:27Speaker 1: likely during the struggle leading up to her being bound
- 39:29Speaker 1: and put on the bin with the news. Yeah so.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Through the investigation and subsequent soul subsequential legal proceedings, Jamie
- 39:40Speaker 1: still maintained his innocence, denying any involvement in Georgie's murder. However,
- 39:48Speaker 1: his stance took a sudden and unexpected turn. On the
- 39:51Speaker 1: first day of his trial in December of twenty thirteen,
- 39:56Speaker 1: without any warning, Jamie stood up in court and pled
- 40:00Speaker 1: guilty to all charges against him.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Okay, took long enough.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Yeah so. During the trial, more disturbing details about Jamie's
- 40:09Speaker 1: past would actually come to light. In two thousand and eight,
- 40:12Speaker 1: he sorry he had been under scrutiny once again with
- 40:17Speaker 1: the police. He had confined a young girl that was
- 40:21Speaker 1: just sixteen in his home. Although he received what was
- 40:26Speaker 1: described as quote a final warning from authorities, no further
- 40:30Speaker 1: action was again taken from the incident. Unfortunately, Jamie's escalating
- 40:37Speaker 1: pattern of extremely dangerous behavior ultimately went unchecked, and it
- 40:42Speaker 1: culminated into the tragic murder of Georgia Williams. As a
- 40:47Speaker 1: result of his crimes, Jamie was sentenced to a whole
- 40:50Speaker 1: life term. Now this quote whole life term is the
- 40:54Speaker 1: most severe sentence in the UK criminal judicial system, and
- 40:58Speaker 1: it means that the offender will spend the rest of
- 41:00Speaker 1: their life in prison without the possibility of parole.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Okay, I like that.
- 41:06Speaker 1: This made him the forty sixth person in UK history
- 41:09Speaker 1: to receive this sentence of punishment. He was also the
- 41:14Speaker 1: youngest in history at the time to receive it.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Well, I mean you had mentioned that he has like
- 41:19Speaker 2: forty other stories, right, Like, I mean I don't think
- 41:22Speaker 2: he had written Yeah. Yeah, Like I don't know if
- 41:24Speaker 2: he was going to be if he didn't get caught
- 41:25Speaker 2: with this, he probably would have done it again.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Oh definitely.
- 41:29Speaker 2: And this is also something like it's been quite a
- 41:31Speaker 2: long span of time. I don't know, it would take
- 41:35Speaker 2: time to rehabilitate that out of your system. I guess
- 41:39Speaker 2: if you even.
- 41:40Speaker 1: Get you can ken. Yeah. Well, I mean there's stories
- 41:44Speaker 1: of like child predators trying to be rehabilitated and they're like,
- 41:49Speaker 1: I can't, Like it's just it's like I was ingrained
- 41:52Speaker 1: on this. Yeah, Like they were fucking born with this sick,
- 41:55Speaker 1: fucking thing in their head. Yeah, So I don't know
- 41:57Speaker 1: if you can always learn these things.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Yeah, Now in twenty fourteen, Jamie would appeal his sentence,
- 42:07Speaker 1: but he was unsuccessful, and thankfully Jamie will forever rot
- 42:13Speaker 1: behind bars. And that is the story of Georgia Williams.
- 42:17Speaker 2: You know. And this whole time too, I've just been
- 42:19Speaker 2: sitting here thinking like, if she oh Man wouldn't have
- 42:24Speaker 2: been the person that she was, she would have you know,
- 42:27Speaker 2: just been at that barbecue.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Yep.
- 42:29Speaker 2: But then also to the photo shoot, probably would have
- 42:32Speaker 2: gotten you know, postponed and something else like it would
- 42:35Speaker 2: have just been inevitable most likely.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Right, Yes, No, Jamie had been planning it for months,
- 42:41Speaker 1: so it culminated to this, this photo shoot. If she
- 42:44Speaker 1: declined or was unable, he would have figured out another way.
- 42:48Speaker 1: So it's he had his sight set on a target.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Yeah he really did. Wow, that is just like such
- 42:57Speaker 2: a wild story. Hey, And to just go about photographing
- 43:02Speaker 2: and documenting all of.
- 43:03Speaker 1: That, I know. And he recorded her last moments as
- 43:08Speaker 1: she's hanging and struggling to breathe and the life is
- 43:12Speaker 1: draining from her and he's he calmly did it.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Yeah, And he'd at no point thinks like what the
- 43:18Speaker 2: fuck am I doing. Nope, nothing harries on with it
- 43:21Speaker 2: for like, yeah, hm.
- 43:25Speaker 1: So yeah, that's fucked up.
- 43:26Speaker 2: That's super fucked up.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Yeah. When I actually came across this case, I told Nicole,
- 43:32Speaker 1: I think what I told you was something along the
- 43:34Speaker 1: lines of, oh, I found a case of a photographer
- 43:38Speaker 1: and you're like oh. And then, because you're always like, oh,
- 43:40Speaker 1: I go out in dangerous situations with strangers or whatever,
- 43:43Speaker 1: and you're like, oh, do they get killed, I'm like, no,
- 43:45Speaker 1: they're the killer. And they recorded themselves hanging someone or
- 43:50Speaker 1: something like that. I can't remember. Yeah, yeah, And that's
- 43:53Speaker 1: what I told you. And as soon as I discovered
- 43:56Speaker 1: the story, I'm like, yeah, yeah, we got to cover it.
- 43:58Speaker 1: That's fucked up and how relatable, right well.
- 44:02Speaker 2: I just can't believe too that this person just X
- 44:05Speaker 2: thought that they would actually be able to get away
- 44:07Speaker 2: with this, you know, I.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Know, and how they're still denying it even though there's
- 44:12Speaker 1: literal photos and videos like yeah, is that not you
- 44:18Speaker 1: like holding this camera that belongs to you that was
- 44:22Speaker 1: found in your parents' place while she's hanging and dying, Like,
- 44:26Speaker 1: is that not you? Look at the reflection That fucking
- 44:29Speaker 1: meta right there, that's you holding it.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Like you almost wonder if he regretted doing the guilty
- 44:33Speaker 2: or pleading guilty there, since he went about like appealing
- 44:37Speaker 2: it later on, or maybe he was just appealing the
- 44:40Speaker 2: life's Yeah.
- 44:41Speaker 1: That's what that's what he was appealing. He wasn't appealing
- 44:45Speaker 1: the conviction. He was appealing the sentence.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Huh. And so his parents knew His parents knew that
- 44:52Speaker 2: something wasn't quite right with him.
- 44:54Speaker 1: They did, but yeah, and they couldn't do anything.
- 44:56Speaker 2: But yeah, what are they supposed to do because.
- 44:58Speaker 1: They did actually take a like they reported it.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Yeah, which I was a bit like surprised there. So yeah,
- 45:04Speaker 2: you would only you know, most likely do that when
- 45:08Speaker 2: you've what's the wording.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Like exhausted all resources or of thing. Yeah yeah, but uh,
- 45:13Speaker 1: I mean they're they're like, yeah, we caught our kid
- 45:16Speaker 1: like rubbing one out to some fucking murder shit online,
- 45:19Speaker 1: Like what the fuck? God, we got a future dahmer here?
- 45:24Speaker 2: Oh right there. It's just like, yeah, I think I'm
- 45:28Speaker 2: good not having kids because I'm not really sure how
- 45:32Speaker 2: you would deal with that situation because you just know,
- 45:36Speaker 2: sh it's gonna go Shit's going down. Yeah, Oh and
- 45:39Speaker 2: it doesn't I don't know. I don't really know if
- 45:41Speaker 2: if if they if his upbringing brought on this in
- 45:45Speaker 2: any way, but I'm thinking not.
- 45:47Speaker 1: So by the sounds of it. It didn't. By the
- 45:49Speaker 1: sounds of it. He simply discovered a certain type of
- 45:53Speaker 1: pornography online and it enveloped him.
- 45:58Speaker 2: Huh, Hey, I think we're good. I think we're good
- 46:01Speaker 2: with our dogs.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Dogs are pretty awesome.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Yeah. I can't see something like that happen with the dogs.
- 46:07Speaker 1: So no, no.
- 46:09Speaker 2: Okay, well done that. That will be on my mind
- 46:12Speaker 2: for the rest of this day.
- 46:13Speaker 1: So enjoy that. Hopefully you guys enjoyed the case. Thank
