- 0:00Speaker 1: Spoil Dad This Father's Day with the Chemist Warehouse Fragrance Sale.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Shop the huge range of big brand fragrances at the
- 0:06Speaker 2: lowest prices.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Chemist Warehouse, helping you spoil Dad This Father's Day.
- 0:10Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it's Friday. Okay, I love this. The one
- 0:13Speaker 4: texting habit that'll make you look broke. I didn't realise
- 0:17Speaker 4: the way you.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Is it having a green text message instead of a
- 0:20Speaker 1: blue one?
- 0:20Speaker 5: You would have thought it's that, right?
- 0:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 0:21Speaker 5: Yeah, because, oh, they can't afford an iPhone?
- 0:24Speaker 1: I mean, Samsungs are just as expensive, right? But it's just,
- 0:27Speaker 1: I don't know, when I see a green message, I'm like,
- 0:28Speaker 1: what do you want, a Nokia?
- 0:29Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 0:30Speaker 5: Who was that? We had Melissa Leong filling in for
- 0:33Speaker 5: a week. What phone did she have?
- 0:34Speaker 3: She had a Galaxy, but she had one of the
- 0:35Speaker 3: foldable ones. Yeah, and loved it, didn't she? Yeah, some
- 0:38Speaker 3: people are just Samsung users.
- 0:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 0:40Speaker 5: Well, that's not the answer. It's not sending a green text.
- 0:43Speaker 2: No.
- 0:43Speaker 5: According to this dude, Early Walker.
- 0:46Speaker 4: So he's an entrepreneur dedicated to making people not look broke.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Okay?
- 0:51Speaker 5: You might be broke, but you're not going to look
- 0:53Speaker 5: broke if.
- 0:53Speaker 3: You follow his advice. And his name is Early Walker.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Early Walker.
- 0:56Speaker 6: Interesting.
- 0:56Speaker 5: Okay, here's what it is. Let's have a listen.
- 0:59Speaker 8: Rogue people take forever to text back. Successful people respond fast.
- 1:06Speaker 8: They don't necessarily have more time than you. Actually, they've
- 1:12Speaker 8: developed a sense of urgency. Can't answer right now?
- 1:16Speaker 5: Got it.
- 1:17Speaker 8: I'll call you tonight. Don't know the answer? Let me
- 1:20Speaker 8: find out and I'll get back to you. Not interested?
- 1:24Speaker 8: Appreciate you thinking about me, but I'm going to pass.
- 1:26Speaker 8: Some of y'all... aren't being overlooked. You're just too hard
- 1:31Speaker 8: to do business with.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Isn't it really interesting because you'd think someone super busy
- 1:35Speaker 5: and important.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Wouldn't have the time to reply to you.
- 1:38Speaker 4: No, but now I think about it, a lot of
- 1:40Speaker 4: successful people I know, they will write back straight away.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Yeah, even if the message replies, yes. Yeah, okay.
- 1:47Speaker 4: It might be rude or I'll look into it or
- 1:49Speaker 4: come see me later or whatever. Whereas someone who takes
- 1:52Speaker 4: forever to reply... You'd think, oh, they're broke. They're just
- 1:55Speaker 4: lying on the couch watching TV.
- 1:56Speaker 5: Yeah, true. But no, maybe they're lazy and unorganized.
- 1:59Speaker 3: It must come down to efficiency.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Yeah, totally.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And you know that there's a sense of urgency in
- 2:03Speaker 1: things when you, you know what, I'm going to text
- 2:05Speaker 1: our boss here and see how long it takes him.
- 2:07Speaker 5: Which one? We've got four.
- 2:09Speaker 3: The one that I know is up at this time, DB.
- 2:11Speaker 6: Okay.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I'm just going to say, where are you?
- 2:13Speaker 5: Just where are you?
- 2:14Speaker 3: Yep, sent.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Let's see how long he takes. Okay, so that's sent now?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Yep, sent.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Where is he actually?
- 2:18Speaker 9: I haven't seen him.
- 2:19Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 2:19Speaker 10: Is he here?
- 2:21Speaker 5: I don't think we've seen him.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Oh, really? So he's probably asleep.
- 2:23Speaker 2: No, he's definitely awake. He sent me an email already.
- 2:25Speaker 11: Right.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Because I was like, now it actually looks like I'm going,
- 2:28Speaker 3: where are you?
- 2:30Speaker 2: He either gets back to you straight away or you
- 2:33Speaker 2: just don't hear.
- 2:34Speaker 3: That's probably a really weird message to send him as well.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Where are you? See, that works, Bart.
- 2:40Speaker 5: I'm down with that.
- 2:40Speaker 4: So they'll either reply if they think you're important. Or
- 2:43Speaker 4: if they don't reply at all, you're not important to them.
- 2:45Speaker 3: True. He might just not care about me.
- 2:47Speaker 4: I don't know if you're like this. Like, I can
- 2:49Speaker 4: have a lot of unread emails. I can have a
- 2:51Speaker 4: lot of unread, I don't know, DMs on Insta or whatever.
- 2:54Speaker 4: But that notification on the message, I need to have
- 2:57Speaker 4: it cleared. So I will write back. I might have
- 3:00Speaker 4: 700 missed calls. That doesn't bother me. But I've got
- 3:03Speaker 4: to have the text with nothing on there. Does that
- 3:05Speaker 4: make sense?
- 3:06Speaker 3: I can't have any red bubbles.
- 3:07Speaker 12: So, like, emails.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Anything. I have to clear them all.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And I have a system in my messages where if
- 3:13Speaker 1: I haven't replied yet, but I know I need to,
- 3:15Speaker 1: I pin them to the top.
- 3:16Speaker 5: Yeah, you do the pin.
- 3:17Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Well, you don't look broke. I don't look broke. If
- 3:20Speaker 5: you text me, you'll notice I write back pretty well
- 3:22Speaker 5: straight away, don't I? You do.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Sometimes if you're driving, you'll use Siri, though, to respond.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And it doesn't quite say, I think, what you think
- 3:29Speaker 1: it does sometimes.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Yeah, but I'm still writing back. I can't even, even
- 3:33Speaker 4: on the Apple CarPlay, I don't like there being a
- 3:35Speaker 4: line there.
- 3:36Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I mean, there's a certain message I won't respond to quickly,
- 3:40Speaker 1: and that message is like, you know that person you
- 3:41Speaker 1: haven't spoken to for ages and they send you a
- 3:43Speaker 1: massive paragraph?
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yeah, you leave that. You need time to respond to that.
- 3:47Speaker 6: Yeah, great.
- 3:48Speaker 5: All right, is DB written back?
- 3:49Speaker 3: No, so he's broke. DB's broke. Or he doesn't care
- 3:52Speaker 3: about me.
- 3:53Speaker 11: Chelsea?
- 3:54Speaker 2: I have 114 unread text messages.
- 3:56Speaker 3: You are broke. I'm so sorry. 114?
- 3:59Speaker 5: That's why you're still single. They're all guys trying to
- 4:01Speaker 5: take you out.
- 4:01Speaker 2: No, but I was going to say, this is actually
- 4:03Speaker 2: how I know if I like someone or not. If
- 4:05Speaker 2: I want to reply to you, I like you. If
- 4:08Speaker 2: I don't want to reply to you, I clearly don't care.
- 4:10Speaker 3: That's true. You respond to me really quickly. That's because
- 4:13Speaker 3: I love you.
- 4:14Speaker 9: Oh.
- 4:15Speaker 13: Nice.
- 4:15Speaker 1: We send each other voice notes. That's when you know
- 4:18Speaker 1: you really like someone.
- 4:19Speaker 3: It's a voice note.
- 4:20Speaker 5: I hate voice notes.
- 4:21Speaker 4: How many of those unread messages are potential male suitors?
- 4:24Speaker 2: Not many, and I probably don't even have their number
- 4:26Speaker 2: saved either.
- 4:28Speaker 1: How many of them are just like dominoes offering you
- 4:30Speaker 1: a free five?
- 4:30Speaker 14: No, those annoy me.
- 4:32Speaker 2: I will delete them straight away.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Delete them.
- 4:34Speaker 5: I'd love to know who your 114 are then.
- 4:36Speaker 2: A couple from my mum, one from my housemate, Huffy,
- 4:40Speaker 2: our audio producer.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Oh, DB responded. He's in his office. Just in case
- 4:45Speaker 3: anyone was wondering. Oh, morning.
- 4:46Speaker 5: He's just listening anyway. Oh, you do, mate.
- 4:49Speaker 9: Okay.
- 4:50Speaker 3: They called me broke, so writes back straight away. All right.
- 4:53Speaker 5: First calls, 131065. If you want to chat, let's go
- 4:57Speaker 5: to Hayley. Good morning.
- 4:58Speaker 15: Hey, good morning.
- 5:00Speaker 3: What up?
- 5:02Speaker 11: Oh, nothing.
- 5:02Speaker 9: Just.
- 5:03Speaker 11: I heard Nat saying that Kane wanted to get an axolotl.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Yeah, because he really wants a dog. He wants a pet.
- 5:10Speaker 3: And I said, I'm pregnant. I'm going to have a baby.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I don't want a pet. So then he's throwing out
- 5:13Speaker 1: these low effort options. And he suggested an axolotl, which
- 5:19Speaker 1: I've looked up. And in some photos, they look weird.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Other ones actually look really cute.
- 5:24Speaker 5: What do you reckon?
- 5:26Speaker 11: Honestly, like.
- 5:29Speaker 11: It's a bucket list sort of thing. Like, you need
- 5:31Speaker 11: to do it.
- 5:31Speaker 3: At least once in your life.
- 5:33Speaker 9: Why?
- 5:33Speaker 11: They're amazing. Like, they go above and beyond doing absolutely nothing.
- 5:39Speaker 11: You know those, like, statues in fish tanks, like, those, like,
- 5:43Speaker 11: just wood pieces or, like.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Yeah, that you put at the bottom.
- 5:46Speaker 11: Like, just any hiding sort of spot?
- 5:47Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 5:47Speaker 11: Yeah, that you put at the bottom. So, pretty much, like... And, like,
- 5:52Speaker 11: if you don't really like the look of it, that's fine. But, like,
- 5:54Speaker 11: as long as you get, like, one of those plastic
- 5:56Speaker 11: wood things that sit in the bottom, they like to
- 5:58Speaker 11: hide under it.
- 5:59Speaker 13: Oh, cute.
- 6:00Speaker 3: So you never see it.
- 6:02Speaker 10: Well, sometimes.
- 6:03Speaker 11: But, like, then when you do, it's like, oh, like, so, like,
- 6:05Speaker 11: you might, you.
- 6:06Speaker 9: Know what I mean?
- 6:07Speaker 3: What's the point in having one if it just hides
- 6:09Speaker 3: all the time? It'll come out. Does it?
- 6:11Speaker 1: We were saying before, and we're not sure what it does,
- 6:14Speaker 1: because it's got little legs. Does it just come out
- 6:16Speaker 1: of the fish tank and just roam around the house?
- 6:19Speaker 11: No, but if it had to, then it probably would.
- 6:24Speaker 5: But doesn't it need to live in water? This is
- 6:26Speaker 5: what we're missing.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe it's like a crocodile and it can breathe
- 6:30Speaker 1: underwater and above the water.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Hayley, do you know if it can breathe oxygen? I do.
- 6:38Speaker 11: Not confidently. But I know it breathes.
- 6:45Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 6:46Speaker 11: Yeah, I know that over time or whatever... Well, okay, yeah, no,
- 6:49Speaker 11: there's going to be someone that's going to fact check me.
- 6:51Speaker 3: That's all right, we're fact checking.
- 6:52Speaker 5: They are amphibians, like frogs.
- 6:54Speaker 10: So they can?
- 6:54Speaker 3: Oh, they can. They live in and out of water.
- 6:56Speaker 5: Oh, that's cool.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Okay, what's your axolotl's name, Hayley?
- 7:01Speaker 6: Um, Dream.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Oh, Dream the axolotl. Very cute.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Look, I've got to say, you haven't fully convinced me,
- 7:08Speaker 1: but I just don't... Any pet is maintenance. Like, I
- 7:12Speaker 1: know it's a fish at the end of the day,
- 7:14Speaker 1: but I still got to clean the fish tank.
- 7:16Speaker 7: Oh, yeah.
- 7:16Speaker 5: Could be more effort than getting, like, a dog or
- 7:18Speaker 5: a cat.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Hey, Kelly.
- 7:20Speaker 9: Good morning, guys. How are you?
- 7:21Speaker 6: Good.
- 7:22Speaker 5: What do you want to talk about?
- 7:23Speaker 9: Oh, look, well, first of all, just a big shout
- 7:25Speaker 9: out to all the dads and my dad for Father's Day.
- 7:27Speaker 9: But now I have a question for you.
- 7:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:32Speaker 9: Are you going to celebrate Father's Day with your partner
- 7:35Speaker 9: now that you're having a baby?
- 7:36Speaker 3: That's preemptive Father's Day. No, you know what? You can, yeah.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I mean, it is his last Father's Day without being
- 7:43Speaker 1: a father.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Not his last Father's Day. He's not a father yet. No,
- 7:47Speaker 3: I mean his last Father's Day without celebrating. I get
- 7:50Speaker 3: what you mean, but no.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You know how he can celebrate? He can have some
- 7:54Speaker 1: beers or something, which is something he probably won't be
- 7:56Speaker 1: able to do next year.
- 7:56Speaker 5: Some beers or something. I'm guessing two beers.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Maybe I'll write him a nice little note or something.
- 8:01Speaker 1: What do you suggest, Kelly?
- 8:02Speaker 3: Do you think that I should?
- 8:05Speaker 9: Yeah, look, I mean, you could make it just not
- 8:07Speaker 9: too special because, I mean, next year will be the
- 8:10Speaker 9: big year for him.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:11Speaker 9: Being the first Father's Day. But you could do something
- 8:13Speaker 9: a little special, like, you know, to be, dad to be.
- 8:17Speaker 5: I've never thought of such thing.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Like, do you celebrate Father's Day before you're actually a father?
- 8:22Speaker 3: I think it would be nice to... Do you get.
- 8:24Speaker 5: Mother's Day then? Or you'll have had the kid by then?
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yeah, damn, I missed out.
- 8:28Speaker 1: But yeah, no, maybe I'll just write him a nice
- 8:30Speaker 1: little note saying... I'm looking forward to watching you become
- 8:34Speaker 1: a dad He'll be such a great dad.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Like a mild form of appreciating Father's Day.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah, and he came in the other day and he
- 8:42Speaker 1: changed the nappies and did all the things, and he
- 8:44Speaker 1: seems like he's going to be a great dad.
- 8:45Speaker 3: So maybe he'll get a pre-emptive card.
- 8:47Speaker 5: All right, happy pre-emptive Father's.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Day for you. Day to all the expecting dads out there.
- 8:51Speaker 4: All right, hanging out with Mikey and Nat. Amy Gerard
- 8:54Speaker 4: returns on Monday. We are doing it for Chemist Warehouse.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Now, we were going to interview, well, we still are
- 8:58Speaker 1: going to interview Angus and Julia Stone. They're waiting in
- 9:00Speaker 1: the green room, but we've been inundated with nugget calls,
- 9:03Speaker 1: so we must take some on air.
- 9:04Speaker 6: Very important.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Because everyone seems to be very passionate about where sells
- 9:08Speaker 1: the best chicken nuggets. I think we need to start
- 9:11Speaker 1: by lodging our formal votes, because we've dropped a couple.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Macca's? Are you going to vote for Macca's?
- 9:17Speaker 5: Only because they're really the only ones I know.
- 9:19Speaker 3: And you like the sweet and sour sauce from there?
- 9:21Speaker 5: Oh, that is the superior sweet and sour sauce.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Okay, well, Macca's has one vote from you. I think
- 9:25Speaker 1: I'm going to go a Porto.
- 9:27Speaker 5: I haven't tried them.
- 9:28Speaker 3: I'm going to lodge a vote for a porter.
- 9:29Speaker 5: Are they the ones that are almost like a bit
- 9:30Speaker 5: of chicken?
- 9:31Speaker 3: They're like a really flat, almost chicken schnitzel vibe. I
- 9:33Speaker 3: don't know.
- 9:33Speaker 5: I feel like nuggets should be. I don't know what's
- 9:35Speaker 5: in this. Is it the chicken's foot?
- 9:38Speaker 10: Is it its arsehole?
- 9:39Speaker 3: What is it? That's what makes a good nugget.
- 9:41Speaker 9: All right.
- 9:41Speaker 3: Out there, producers, lodge your votes. What do you want?
- 9:43Speaker 5: I'm going to go KFC.
- 9:44Speaker 3: KFC.
- 9:44Speaker 17: All right.
- 9:45Speaker 10: KFC.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Two for KFC.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Maccas with sweet and sour sauce.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Two for Maccas, two for KFC. The Pom? The Pom.
- 9:51Speaker 5: It'll be some weird diner from England or something.
- 9:53Speaker 3: I don't want to piss on your bonfire here, but
- 9:55Speaker 3: I am vegetarian. Oh. You don't count.
- 9:59Speaker 9: All right.
- 10:00Speaker 10: Is that a good tofu nugget?
- 10:01Speaker 3: Nah, you're out. To my knowledge. We don't care for
- 10:03Speaker 3: tofu nuggets. Nancy.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Tofu nuggets? Although I do like deep fried tofu. That's good. Nancy.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Didn't care.
- 10:09Speaker 5: What is yours?
- 10:11Speaker 9: Good morning, guys.
- 10:12Speaker 18: Yeah, so I'm in the car with my daughter. We
- 10:15Speaker 18: just had this conversation.
- 10:16Speaker 19: So my favourite is Macca's sweet and sour sauce.
- 10:21Speaker 15: But hers is schnitz.
- 10:23Speaker 11: Oh, schnitz.
- 10:24Speaker 18: What's that?
- 10:24Speaker 3: Oh, schnitz. It's like a schnitzel place where you can
- 10:27Speaker 3: get like sandwiches, wraps, schnitzels.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Well, you'd think they'd know what they're doing with nuggets.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Well, I'm going to go then. That's one vote for Macca's,
- 10:34Speaker 3: one vote for schnitz. Thank you, Nancy. All right. Caitlin.
- 10:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:38Speaker 5: Hi, Caitlin.
- 10:39Speaker 15: Hi, my favourite nuggets were actually from Thailand on an
- 10:43Speaker 15: island called Patau from a local lady.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Okay.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Local Thailand nuggets. Hang on, sorry, this is going to
- 10:48Speaker 3: take me a second. Local Thai nuggets.
- 10:49Speaker 5: Can we fly them in?
- 10:51Speaker 3: Potentially.
- 10:52Speaker 1: If anyone's about to board a plane in Bangkok, can
- 10:55Speaker 1: they please bring back.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Where, what beach was it? We need to know the
- 10:58Speaker 3: exact beach. Patong Beach.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Yeah, was it Patong, Holly?
- 11:04Speaker 3: It wasn't Harley. It was Caitlin.
- 11:06Speaker 5: I've hit the wrong one. Where did Caitlin go? Here
- 11:08Speaker 5: she is.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Caitlin. Caitlin, sorry, I need specifics. Where in Thailand?
- 11:12Speaker 13: An island called Koh Chow.
- 11:15Speaker 19: It was at a jungle party.
- 11:17Speaker 11: It was amazing.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Koh Chow jungle.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Or were you just off your face? Was it really
- 11:20Speaker 5: that good? You know what I mean?
- 11:23Speaker 9: We bought them all.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Okay, so we've got three for Maccas and trailing just
- 11:27Speaker 1: behind local Thai nuggets, Koh Chow jungle party.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Harley, now you're on. Hi, Harley.
- 11:31Speaker 5: What's yours? Morning All, I.
- 11:34Speaker 18: Would be a one for KFC if I'm easy to
- 11:36Speaker 18: get to one, but I have to go with schnitz
- 11:38Speaker 18: as well.
- 11:39Speaker 3: They're schnuggets. Another one. Oh, they're called schnuggets?
- 11:41Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 11:42Speaker 5: So what is the difference?
- 11:43Speaker 9: Oh, my God.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Everything at schnitz starts with schnitz. They've got something on
- 11:46Speaker 3: the thing here, and it's schnacks. Oh, right. Wait, go
- 11:49Speaker 3: to their menu. That's amazing.
- 11:51Speaker 18: Their loaded chips are also banging.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Oh, sorry, I didn't ask about chips. No, that's tomorrow's.
- 11:56Speaker 3: That's tomorrow's soda.
- 11:57Speaker 10: We're coming in on Saturday.
- 11:58Speaker 3: We are specifically for that.
- 12:00Speaker 5: I've decided just to talk about chips.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Okay, so now we've got three for Macca's, two for Schnitz,
- 12:05Speaker 1: two for KFC, one for the local Thai Nuggets, ka-chow,
- 12:08Speaker 1: jungle party.
- 12:09Speaker 10: Ah, hello.
- 12:10Speaker 15: Paddy.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Where are we going? What's your vote?
- 12:13Speaker 13: We're going with schnitz because they use real chicken and
- 12:16Speaker 13: not chicken paste.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I told you I don't want real chicken. I want
- 12:19Speaker 5: a foot. Okay.
- 12:21Speaker 13: Yeah, okay.
- 12:21Speaker 3: So you think that what makes a good chicken nugget
- 12:23Speaker 3: is how much foot's in it.
- 12:24Speaker 5: It's like a hot dog, right?
- 12:26Speaker 3: No one knows what's in a hot dog. That's why
- 12:27Speaker 3: I can't eat them.
- 12:28Speaker 5: Oh, you won't do hot dogs?
- 12:29Speaker 3: I wouldn't be able to stomach a hot dog pregnant.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Well, that's Sunday's show. We're also coming in Sunday.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Are we? For the hot dog edition. So far, schnitz
- 12:36Speaker 3: is in the lead. Ronnie, what are you going to
- 12:38Speaker 3: give us?
- 12:39Speaker 1: Red Rooster cheesy nuggets.
- 12:41Speaker 15: They're like a crumb chicken, you know.
- 12:44Speaker 3: And cheese.
- 12:45Speaker 13: With this cheese oozy out of it.
- 12:47Speaker 10: It's just incredible.
- 12:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Well, Mikey would hate that due to the melted cheese element,
- 12:52Speaker 1: but I'm going to add one.
- 12:52Speaker 3: For Red Rooster. Okay. With our official voting, I think
- 12:55Speaker 3: we'll call it there.
- 12:56Speaker 1: In the lead is both Macca's and Schnitz with three
- 12:59Speaker 1: votes each. Don't forget the local Thai nuggets with one,
- 13:02Speaker 1: but we're going to have troubles getting them through customs.
- 13:04Speaker 5: Big troubles.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I think we're going to have to decide between... Macca's
- 13:08Speaker 1: and Schnitz and we'll have to get a number of
- 13:10Speaker 1: nuggets to make that choice.
- 13:12Speaker 5: Oh, a huge amount. And again, it's content, so the
- 13:15Speaker 5: company will be paying.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Macca's is open. So we need McNuggets and we need Schnuggets.
- 13:20Speaker 5: Yeah, can we get Schnitz?
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll try our best.
- 13:23Speaker 12: Okay.
- 13:23Speaker 11: All right.
- 13:24Speaker 5: And if not, we'll be back here tomorrow.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Oh, they open at eight.
- 13:27Speaker 10: We can do this.
- 13:28Speaker 6: Okay, perfect.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Let's make this happen.
- 13:30Speaker 4: All right, get them here by the end of the
- 13:31Speaker 4: show and we will let you know what the better
- 13:33Speaker 4: nugget is.
- 13:34Speaker 3: We just want nuggets. Big Aussie act.
- 13:40Speaker 4: It is their seventh studio album about to come out.
- 13:43Speaker 4: It's Angus, it's Julia Stone. They are joining us live
- 13:45Speaker 4: in the studio.
- 13:46Speaker 9: Hello.
- 13:46Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 13:47Speaker 16: Good morning.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Welcome, guys.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Now, for those who don't know, you are siblings. What
- 13:52Speaker 1: is it like working with your sibling? Mostly good or
- 13:55Speaker 1: mostly shit?
- 13:57Speaker 16: I would say mostly good. I think like we've gone
- 13:59Speaker 16: through the rough times, but it's 20 years in now
- 14:03Speaker 16: and we're pretty good at working together.
- 14:06Speaker 5: You originally weren't going to work together, right?
- 14:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:09Speaker 16: How did it start? It was sort of like we
- 14:11Speaker 16: were doing open mic nights around Sydney.
- 14:13Speaker 12: Someone from a label came in. came along and saw
- 14:17Speaker 12: us play.
- 14:17Speaker 16: But it was like Angus would do his songs and
- 14:19Speaker 16: I would do my songs.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Separately.
- 14:22Speaker 16: We had our own little demos that we would sell separately.
- 14:25Speaker 16: We'd perform together, but then we'd stand on either side
- 14:27Speaker 16: of the stage and And people would sort of have
- 14:29Speaker 16: to pick.
- 14:30Speaker 10: It's very obvious.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Like, no, I'm going to be my own person. But
- 14:32Speaker 3: your voices blend so well together.
- 14:35Speaker 1: So how did it not like click until earlier that
- 14:37Speaker 1: this is what it was supposed to be?
- 14:39Speaker 16: I guess you just, you know, we grew up together
- 14:41Speaker 16: and I think we wanted to do our own thing.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Of course.
- 14:43Speaker 16: You know, we also wrote differently, like our styles. And
- 14:47Speaker 16: I think it wasn't until we got offered this deal
- 14:51Speaker 16: together that we sort of thought, oh, maybe we should
- 14:53Speaker 16: give it a go, you know, and see what happens
- 14:56Speaker 16: working together.
- 14:56Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 16: We have other projects and we do that in between
- 14:59Speaker 16: working together. And I think that keeps us coming back
- 15:02Speaker 16: to it. You know, it's just kind of like, we
- 15:04Speaker 16: don't know if we'll make another record, but we kind
- 15:06Speaker 16: of end up wanting to.
- 15:07Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Well, you have one now called karaoke bar.
- 15:10Speaker 5: So are you both a big fan of karaoke?
- 15:12Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 15:13Speaker 12: I think what's beautiful about the karaoke bar is you
- 15:17Speaker 12: have all walks of life in there. You know, you
- 15:19Speaker 12: have people that have just had the roughest day to
- 15:22Speaker 12: the people that are just, you know, having a fun night. Um,
- 15:26Speaker 12: And there's a communion... in it. You know, everyone's sort
- 15:29Speaker 12: of there for that, you know, that joy.
- 15:31Speaker 5: And you've got to be drunk. I mean, no one's
- 15:32Speaker 5: doing karaoke sober.
- 15:34Speaker 1: I've done karaoke sober. No, I've done it sober and
- 15:37Speaker 1: it is really hard. As Angus and Julia Stone though,
- 15:41Speaker 1: you must judge people that get up in a karaoke bar.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Like if someone's awful, would you just sit there thinking
- 15:46Speaker 1: pitch off, tempo off?
- 15:48Speaker 16: We grew up in a house with a lot of
- 15:50Speaker 16: live music. So our dad's a wedding band singer. And
- 15:54Speaker 16: so they used to rehearse at the house and, And
- 15:56Speaker 16: we'd bring friends over and dad would always get everybody
- 16:00Speaker 16: in singing. So we're used to like people feeling uncomfortable
- 16:03Speaker 16: and being forced to sing. And so it actually, I
- 16:07Speaker 16: think it instilled in us like a real love of
- 16:10Speaker 16: like people, you know, sharing their voices, good or bad.
- 16:13Speaker 3: And not being embarrassed and ashamed.
- 16:15Speaker 16: And I think it's like a, it's a bit of
- 16:16Speaker 16: a birthright. You know, when we all sing in the
- 16:18Speaker 16: shower or sing in the car, you feel so good.
- 16:20Speaker 7: It brings joy.
- 16:21Speaker 5: But you either have it or you don't, right?
- 16:23Speaker 12: I think the worst is better.
- 16:25Speaker 10: It's like.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Not for your album.
- 16:26Speaker 3: It's character.
- 16:27Speaker 12: I mean, probably not recording and making albums, but.
- 16:30Speaker 3: But auto-tune these days.
- 16:32Speaker 12: I mean, maybe they should pop auto-tune on karaoke nights.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Oh, that's a good idea. Oh, that would be so cool. Yeah,
- 16:37Speaker 3: or you pay only. That'd be wild. So your parents
- 16:41Speaker 3: are musos.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Does that mean like basically it was drilled into you
- 16:44Speaker 1: from an early age that you had to get into
- 16:45Speaker 1: music or do you remember distinctly loving it anyway?
- 16:48Speaker 16: I think it's more that. I think because you see
- 16:51Speaker 16: it bringing joy as a child, I think you're naturally
- 16:54Speaker 16: drawn to it and you sort of start to think
- 16:56Speaker 16: as you're becoming a teenager and you're going through life stuff, oh,
- 16:59Speaker 16: this is a way that I can process things. And
- 17:02Speaker 16: I think that.
- 17:03Speaker 3: An outlet.
- 17:04Speaker 16: Yeah, it becomes an outlet. And I think we're so
- 17:07Speaker 16: grateful to our parents for that because it's, It's been
- 17:10Speaker 16: such a healing thing for us through our lives.
- 17:12Speaker 4: Angus and Julia Stone, yeah, go and get the new album,
- 17:14Speaker 4: Karaoke Bar.
- 17:15Speaker 5: Yep, out now.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Thank you, guys.
- 17:17Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 17:17Speaker 3: It was nice to meet you.
- 17:18Speaker 16: Lovely to meet you too.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Yeah, it's our new dating segment, The Love Vote. So
- 17:22Speaker 1: basically we're about to meet Erica, who's with us in
- 17:25Speaker 1: studio now, and she's looking for love. but she's been
- 17:28Speaker 1: struggling with all the dating apps and finding it in
- 17:30Speaker 1: real life at bars and run clubs and whatever people
- 17:33Speaker 1: are doing now. So she's come in studio and we've
- 17:36Speaker 1: lined up two suitors for her, which she hasn't met.
- 17:38Speaker 1: She hasn't seen them. She doesn't even know what they
- 17:40Speaker 1: look like. She doesn't know their names, in fact, and
- 17:42Speaker 1: she's going to meet them live on air. We're going
- 17:44Speaker 1: to find out a bit about everyone and then we're
- 17:46Speaker 1: going to take your calls to find out who you
- 17:49Speaker 1: think should date.
- 17:50Speaker 5: All right, so get ready to call in and have
- 17:51Speaker 5: your say.
- 17:53Speaker 9: 131065.
- 17:53Speaker 5: Erica, good morning.
- 17:54Speaker 3: It is terrible dating.
- 17:56Speaker 6: Is it not?
- 17:57Speaker 3: Like, what apps are you on?
- 17:57Speaker 7: Oh, it is absolutely shocking out there.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Yeah, you're on Hinge and you're on Bumble.
- 18:01Speaker 7: Look, I go on there just to, like, browse. It's
- 18:03Speaker 7: kind of like window shopping, I guess.
- 18:04Speaker 5: Yeah, but you don't find anyone good?
- 18:06Speaker 9: No, no.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Nat was saying the other day when you were on there...
- 18:08Speaker 3: All the men are rubbish.
- 18:10Speaker 6: Oh, 100%.
- 18:10Speaker 7: But it's like good entertainment, I guess, to look at
- 18:13Speaker 7: people's profiles.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I actually find when I was on there, it
- 18:17Speaker 1: made me more depressed.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Because I was like, this is what I've got. This
- 18:21Speaker 3: is all the world has to offer.
- 18:22Speaker 6: So maybe.
- 18:23Speaker 3: What are you looking for?
- 18:24Speaker 5: What's your ideal man?
- 18:26Speaker 7: Oh, I would love someone that's adventurous.
- 18:28Speaker 5: Okay.
- 18:29Speaker 7: Very, like, funny, goofy kind of guy.
- 18:31Speaker 3: I love laughing.
- 18:31Speaker 7: I'm laughing all the time with my friends.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Okay.
- 18:34Speaker 7: And then, yeah, just someone that really wants to have
- 18:36Speaker 7: an open mind.
- 18:37Speaker 10: Yeah, awesome.
- 18:38Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 18:38Speaker 6: What are you into?
- 18:39Speaker 7: What are you offering?
- 18:40Speaker 3: So some facts that we've got about you here.
- 18:42Speaker 1: You're 29. You work in finance, which is the opposite
- 18:45Speaker 1: of a fun job. And you've been single for seven years.
- 18:48Speaker 7: Yeah, by choice.
- 18:50Speaker 5: By choice.
- 18:51Speaker 7: Okay.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Is it really by choice?
- 18:52Speaker 7: Look, let's just go with that. Okay.
- 18:54Speaker 3: All right, so have you been in a long-term relationship before?
- 18:58Speaker 7: Yeah, so I was in about a four-year relationship when
- 19:01Speaker 7: I was originally back in my hometown. And then, yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 7: it just kind of didn't work out, didn't really align.
- 19:06Speaker 7: And then he kind of flew off to America. And, yeah,
- 19:08Speaker 7: I'm just here, decided to stay.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Looking for a guy.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Now, on your Hinge profile, it says there is a
- 19:14Speaker 4: key to your heart.
- 19:15Speaker 11: Yes.
- 19:16Speaker 3: What is the key to your heart?
- 19:18Speaker 7: Look, I'm a simple girl.
- 19:19Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 19:19Speaker 7: It's a Cali burrito from GYG.
- 19:21Speaker 18: Okay.
- 19:23Speaker 5: Oh, we should take votes on that.
- 19:25Speaker 3: I do like it, Kelly. That's some of the chippies
- 19:27Speaker 3: in it, isn't it?
- 19:27Speaker 7: Yeah, it's an absolute smash.
- 19:29Speaker 3: That's really easy.
- 19:30Speaker 11: Okay.
- 19:31Speaker 5: I reckon we should meet our men.
- 19:32Speaker 9: What do you reckon?
- 19:33Speaker 3: I reckon we should meet. Let's do this. Souter number one.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Come on in. Okay, let's bring in.
- 19:37Speaker 4: We have Jared, who is 24, works as a Sparky,
- 19:44Speaker 4: and Jared has.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Been single for two years.
- 19:48Speaker 6: Hello.
- 19:48Speaker 5: Good morning, mate. Hi, Jared.
- 19:49Speaker 10: How are you going?
- 19:50Speaker 5: Hey, we're good, mate. What are you looking for in
- 19:53Speaker 5: a lady?
- 19:54Speaker 3: Oh, firstly, Jared, meet Erica. Come meet Jared. I'd love
- 19:57Speaker 3: to meet you.
- 19:58Speaker 5: What are you after, mate? What are you looking for?
- 20:00Speaker 10: One, like a chick that's very ambitious, has some goals
- 20:03Speaker 10: in life.
- 20:03Speaker 3: Okay.
- 20:04Speaker 10: And, you know, family orientated.
- 20:07Speaker 3: You want kids?
- 20:08Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 20:08Speaker 3: You want all that? Do you want kids, Erica?
- 20:10Speaker 7: Eventually, yeah.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Okay. And are you family orientated?
- 20:14Speaker 7: That's important to you? Yeah, I'd say so.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Now, Jared's a little bit younger than you. He's 24,
- 20:18Speaker 1: you're 29. What would be the cutoff age-wise for you?
- 20:21Speaker 3: Would you be open to dating a 24-year-old?
- 20:23Speaker 7: Look, I'd give it a shot, but we would have
- 20:25Speaker 7: to see.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Okay. And I want to know on first look, appearances,
- 20:29Speaker 3: are you each other's type?
- 20:30Speaker 10: Yeah, she's pretty good, yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 3: She's pretty good. Do we more?
- 20:34Speaker 4: What do you reckon your best traits are, Jared? What's
- 20:38Speaker 4: so good about you? You've got to sell yourself.
- 20:40Speaker 11: Here, mate.
- 20:41Speaker 10: I have some pretty goals in life.
- 20:43Speaker 5: I'm motivated.
- 20:45Speaker 10: Family orientated.
- 20:46Speaker 6: Yep.
- 20:46Speaker 5: What, have you got a big goal to own a
- 20:48Speaker 5: big business or something like that? What's the deal?
- 20:50Speaker 10: Well, I just bought my first house, so I'm trying
- 20:52Speaker 10: to build up that.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Congratulations. That's you.
- 20:55Speaker 5: That is, that is, like, that's a big tick, is
- 20:57Speaker 5: it not?
- 20:57Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 10: Well, I'm trying to build up that portfolio, so.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Oh, so you want, like, a full property portfolio.
- 21:02Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 21:03Speaker 11: Love that.
- 21:03Speaker 1: And what would be your ideal first date? So if
- 21:06Speaker 1: you and Erica end up going on a date, where
- 21:08Speaker 1: would you take her?
- 21:08Speaker 3: What would you do?
- 21:09Speaker 10: Probably have a dinner, pretty basic.
- 21:12Speaker 3: What kind of, what cuisine would you have?
- 21:14Speaker 10: Oh, I like a good steak.
- 21:16Speaker 7: Oh, yeah?
- 21:16Speaker 3: Do you like steak, Erica?
- 21:17Speaker 7: Smash, yeah.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Okay, what about, like, how do you like your steak cooked?
- 21:21Speaker 7: Oh, definitely medium rare.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Oh, perfect.
- 21:23Speaker 6: Done.
- 21:23Speaker 3: All right. They're clicking on that. They're a match on food.
- 21:25Speaker 7: Do we even need number two? No.
- 21:28Speaker 4: Don't say that yet. Let's bring in suitor number two, Christian.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Christian is 19.
- 21:33Speaker 3: How are you, Steve?
- 21:36Speaker 5: Take a seat, mate.
- 21:37Speaker 3: He's very confident.
- 21:38Speaker 5: Yeah, he is. You work for your parents and he's
- 21:41Speaker 5: been single for about a year. What do you do
- 21:42Speaker 5: for your parents, man?
- 21:43Speaker 3: Oh, I do construction. They own a construction business.
- 21:45Speaker 5: So you're going to inherit that business?
- 21:47Speaker 3: Yeah, well.
- 21:48Speaker 10: She's going to inherit it.
- 21:51Speaker 16: Too.
- 21:51Speaker 3: She's a smooth talker.
- 21:52Speaker 7: She's sweeter than candy.
- 21:53Speaker 3: You guys need to meet. Erica, meet Christian. Christian, meet Erica.
- 21:57Speaker 11: How are you?
- 21:58Speaker 3: Now, on first look, because.
- 21:59Speaker 1: You said you both, Christian, sorry, Jared and Erica liked
- 22:03Speaker 1: the look of each other.
- 22:04Speaker 3: What about you?
- 22:05Speaker 10: You're beautiful.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Oh, thank you.
- 22:06Speaker 7: Tell me more.
- 22:08Speaker 10: She knows it.
- 22:09Speaker 5: What about Christian? He's a tall, good-looking guy. He's going well.
- 22:12Speaker 3: What are you looking for in a woman, mate?
- 22:14Speaker 10: Mate, her.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Just her.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Is there a point where it becomes like the smooth
- 22:18Speaker 1: talk is too much?
- 22:20Speaker 3: Nah, nah, nah. Relax.
- 22:21Speaker 10: Be real. Be real.
- 22:22Speaker 14: She's a good looking girl. She's small, which I like.
- 22:25Speaker 14: I like small girls. I'm 6'3, so when it's small,
- 22:29Speaker 14: it's nice.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Can you actually stand up, mate?
- 22:30Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm like 5'4, so let's do this.
- 22:33Speaker 14: Oh, man.
- 22:34Speaker 1: That's a big height difference.
- 22:38Speaker 10: I'm a man.
- 22:38Speaker 11: Yeah, right.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Apart from physicality, what are your best traits? What do
- 22:42Speaker 4: you bring to the table?
- 22:43Speaker 10: I got the looks.
- 22:44Speaker 3: I got the height.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Physicality again, yeah.
- 22:48Speaker 10: I like to work.
- 22:48Speaker 3: I like to make money. You know what I mean?
- 22:51Speaker 3: I'm motivated.
- 22:51Speaker 14: I go gym.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Yeah. How often do you go to the gym?
- 22:54Speaker 10: Mate, every day.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Is it important to you that your partner also stays
- 22:57Speaker 1: fit and goes.
- 22:58Speaker 3: To the gym?
- 22:59Speaker 14: Yeah, nah, like I would like it, but... It's not
- 23:01Speaker 14: the end of the world. You know what I mean?
- 23:03Speaker 3: Do you go to the gym, Erica?
- 23:04Speaker 7: I do Pilates.
- 23:05Speaker 9: Oh, yeah.
- 23:05Speaker 11: Pilates.
- 23:06Speaker 7: Reformer? Reformer, yes.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Hey, man, what would you do if you got to
- 23:10Speaker 4: take Erica on a date?
- 23:11Speaker 3: What are you going to do with her?
- 23:12Speaker 14: So I'd take you out, pick you up, pick you up,
- 23:14Speaker 14: take you on a nice ride.
- 23:15Speaker 3: What car do you drive? I drive a Merc.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 23:18Speaker 3: I drive a Merc. Calm down, guys. Calm down. It's
- 23:21Speaker 3: only a Merc.
- 23:22Speaker 15: Nah, nah.
- 23:23Speaker 14: I'll take her on a nice date. We'll probably go
- 23:26Speaker 14: get some nice food, go to the beach. do something
- 23:29Speaker 14: nice you want to see her in a bikini yeah
- 23:31Speaker 14: yeah fuck yeah.
- 23:39Speaker 5: Yeah no swearing.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Bud yeah we're gonna have to go to a song
- 23:42Speaker 1: here um so or do we have an ad break.
- 23:44Speaker 4: No we got an ad break we're gonna take your
- 23:46Speaker 4: calls it's all good uh we got a little bit
- 23:48Speaker 4: of uh nonsense going on there but we are live
- 23:50Speaker 4: right now 13 1065 that's our number.
- 23:52Speaker 1: So we need you to call in with who do
- 23:55Speaker 1: you think Erica should date?
- 23:57Speaker 3: Souter number one, which was Jared. We met him first.
- 23:59Speaker 1: He's the 24 year old Sparky who's just bought his
- 24:01Speaker 1: first property. And then we've got Souter number two, Christian,
- 24:05Speaker 1: who just said a naughty word. He's 19, works for
- 24:07Speaker 1: his parents, drives a Merc and is very confident.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Who do you think Erica should go on a date with?
- 24:11Speaker 1: Call us now 131065 and we'll take your calls next.
- 24:14Speaker 5: All right, we will decide who you're dating coming up,
- 24:16Speaker 5: all right? Stand by.
- 24:17Speaker 3: The Love Vote Nat. Yeah, we're doing that this morning.
- 24:20Speaker 3: We met Erica. She's a 29-year-old single girl looking for love.
- 24:24Speaker 1: Now, we've arranged for two single men to come in
- 24:27Speaker 1: studio and meet her, and we spoke to them just before.
- 24:30Speaker 1: We've got Jared, 24 years old. He's a Sparky, and
- 24:33Speaker 1: he seems to have his stuff together in life. He's
- 24:34Speaker 1: bought a house. He's got big ambitions for the future.
- 24:37Speaker 5: At 24, man, you've already bought a house, and you
- 24:39Speaker 5: want to have a portfolio of properties.
- 24:42Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 24:42Speaker 10: That's the goal.
- 24:43Speaker 6: All right.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Well, and then on the other hand, we've got Christian.
- 24:46Speaker 3: He's 19. He works for his parents. Also big ambitions.
- 24:48Speaker 1: But I've got to say, you seem like more of
- 24:51Speaker 1: the fun playboy kind of character.
- 24:53Speaker 12: I am.
- 24:54Speaker 5: I am.
- 24:54Speaker 4: You drive a Merc. You're going to inherit your parents' business.
- 24:58Speaker 4: So you're just sort of coasting until you get that.
- 24:59Speaker 3: But you said not only will you inherit it, Erica
- 25:01Speaker 3: will too because if she's your partner.
- 25:03Speaker 10: Exactly. That's right.
- 25:04Speaker 1: He does want to look after you in a different
- 25:07Speaker 1: kind of way.
- 25:08Speaker 15: Exactly.
- 25:09Speaker 1: We asked you to call through on 131065 because this
- 25:11Speaker 1: decision isn't.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Actually up to Erica. It's up to the listeners. So
- 25:14Speaker 3: let's get the votes. Well, it is the love votes. Okay,
- 25:18Speaker 3: here we go.
- 25:18Speaker 5: Ali, you're on.
- 25:19Speaker 3: Who are you voting for?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Christian.
- 25:22Speaker 5: Christian, why?
- 25:23Speaker 3: One vote for Christian.
- 25:25Speaker 15: He's young, he's got strong ambitions, he works, and he
- 25:29Speaker 15: also seems like he doesn't take life too seriously.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Oh, I'd say that. I mean, let's get it clear.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Jared also works. I think she just likes Christian's vibe
- 25:37Speaker 1: a little bit better, but that's okay. One vote for Christian.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Let's go to Tennille. Yeah, go for it, Tennille.
- 25:43Speaker 15: So I want to vote for Jared. He seems really
- 25:46Speaker 15: driven and he just seems like a really nice guy. Christian,
- 25:50Speaker 15: he also seems like a nice guy, but he seems
- 25:53Speaker 15: more focused on himself and looks.
- 25:55Speaker 3: I think that's true.
- 25:57Speaker 1: You did only really mention Erica's looks before, but that's OK.
- 26:00Speaker 3: That's one vote each so far. Eloise, who do you
- 26:03Speaker 3: want to vote for?
- 26:04Speaker 13: I want to vote for Christian. I think he's tall,
- 26:07Speaker 13: he's funny, he's actually got a personality, and he can.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Have a funny conversation.
- 26:11Speaker 13: And he seems like a carer and a sharer.
- 26:14Speaker 4: I don't know about carer or sharer, but he certainly
- 26:17Speaker 4: has a personality, right?
- 26:19Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 26:19Speaker 3: Has anyone ever called you too cocky?
- 26:22Speaker 10: No, no, no.
- 26:23Speaker 3: Do you struggle with picking up girls at all?
- 26:26Speaker 10: No.
- 26:26Speaker 3: And are you on any of the apps yourself?
- 26:28Speaker 14: Nah, but I'm very picky. It's not like I'm... What
- 26:31Speaker 14: are you picky about? Like, I don't go for anything.
- 26:34Speaker 14: I'm not like that.
- 26:35Speaker 5: Give me something you're picky about.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Like, what's a deal breaker for you?
- 26:40Speaker 10: Putting me on the spot.
- 26:41Speaker 6: Probably, like, hair.
- 26:42Speaker 14: If I see hair on their arms or, like, they
- 26:44Speaker 14: have a little mow, I can't... Right.
- 26:45Speaker 5: So they've got to be completely hairless like a seal.
- 26:46Speaker 3: Oh, you must be hairless at all times, Erica.
- 26:49Speaker 12: Done.
- 26:49Speaker 3: OK, so we've got two votes for Christian. Melissa. One
- 26:53Speaker 3: for Jared. Melissa, who do you want to vote for?
- 26:55Speaker 7: You're on.
- 26:57Speaker 9: I will vote for Jared.
- 26:58Speaker 15: I just feel that the vibe between them is a
- 27:01Speaker 15: bit better, a bit more maturity there that would suit
- 27:04Speaker 15: Erica at this.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Time in her life. That's true.
- 27:06Speaker 1: No, there is definitely a different vibe between each of them,
- 27:09Speaker 1: but Erica did say she.
- 27:10Speaker 3: Wanted fun earlier. She said she was adventurous and wanted fun. Well,
- 27:13Speaker 3: that's true.
- 27:14Speaker 5: But let's not forget there is an age difference as well. So, Jared,
- 27:17Speaker 5: you're 24, yeah?
- 27:17Speaker 3: Yeah, but Christian's 19. 19, I know, and you can
- 27:19Speaker 3: kind of tell.
- 27:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:22Speaker 10: But I like a cougar, so... He.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Likes a cougar. You're 27, yeah? I'm 29. What am
- 27:28Speaker 3: I to him, a grandma? What is she to you?
- 27:32Speaker 14: Nah, she's cute, she's cute.
- 27:35Speaker 10: In a friendly way.
- 27:36Speaker 3: In an older lady way? Yeah, like, in a respectful way.
- 27:39Speaker 3: I'm engaged and pregnant, it's fine. Yeah, you don't have to, mate. Alright,
- 27:42Speaker 3: that means, sorry, this is our last vote. And actually, Erica,
- 27:47Speaker 3: your cousin has called through. Oh, my gosh. Which is
- 27:49Speaker 3: someone who knows you very well. Sarah's your cousin?
- 27:51Speaker 1: Sarah is going to make the decision here because we've
- 27:53Speaker 1: got two votes for Christian, two votes for Jared.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Okay.
- 27:57Speaker 5: Hello, good morning, Sarah, Erica's cousin.
- 27:59Speaker 10: How you doing?
- 28:00Speaker 3: Are you just listening to this going, what is she doing?
- 28:03Speaker 15: No, I love it.
- 28:04Speaker 3: Love it.
- 28:04Speaker 9: Go, Erica.
- 28:05Speaker 19: Also, Christian, sorry, mate, you're out.
- 28:08Speaker 9: Oh!
- 28:08Speaker 15: Jared, you are an absolute legend.
- 28:11Speaker 9: This girl deserves to be treated.
- 28:12Speaker 15: Like a queen and I reckon you can do that.
- 28:14Speaker 3: So you're locking in Jared as your vote?
- 28:16Speaker 9: Period.
- 28:17Speaker 13: Yep, Jared, 100%.
- 28:18Speaker 9: Christian, see you later.
- 28:21Speaker 3: Well, your cousin knows you and it's brutal.
- 28:23Speaker 7: Guess he ain't coming to Christmas.
- 28:25Speaker 1: That means we have a winner and going on a
- 28:27Speaker 1: date with Erica is Jared.
- 28:30Speaker 3: Well done, man. Congratulations, guys. There is one more thing
- 28:34Speaker 3: left to do. There is a little bit of a twist.
- 28:36Speaker 4: So, Erica, during our break there, we asked you to
- 28:39Speaker 4: write down which guy you.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Wanted to take out. We've sealed it in an envelope.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Nat has that, so this could be awkward.
- 28:49Speaker 10: It could be.
- 28:49Speaker 7: Drumroll.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Yeah, here we go.
- 28:52Speaker 1: So, yeah, look, I haven't seen it yet, but I
- 28:56Speaker 1: will open it and reveal this is the person that
- 28:58Speaker 1: Erica wanted to go on a date with, despite what.
- 29:00Speaker 3: Our callers said. But she, even if it's the wrong guy...
- 29:03Speaker 3: It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. Their love story could
- 29:06Speaker 3: be over before it begins.
- 29:08Speaker 18: This is.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Oh, I'm nervous. Okay, here we go.
- 29:12Speaker 1: So just to be clear, the one who won the
- 29:14Speaker 1: date was Jared. Christian, you're not going on the date.
- 29:17Speaker 1: The person Erica wanted to go on the date with
- 29:19Speaker 1: was Christian.
- 29:21Speaker 7: Let's go.
- 29:24Speaker 9: Oh, no.
- 29:25Speaker 14: We can still go on a date.
- 29:28Speaker 3: That's all I'm going to say.
- 29:31Speaker 6: No, no, no.
- 29:32Speaker 3: They're going on a date and Jared now knows that
- 29:34Speaker 3: she didn't want to go on a date with him.
- 29:36Speaker 10: That's all right.
- 29:36Speaker 9: That's all right.
- 29:37Speaker 3: You can convince her, can't you?
- 29:40Speaker 10: It's okay?
- 29:42Speaker 3: Yeah. How are you feeling, Erica?
- 29:45Speaker 7: Yeah, flattered, guys.
- 29:46Speaker 5: Right, so you've got two guys to pick from. Wow.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Sarah's still on the line.
- 29:51Speaker 1: Sarah, what do you think of the fact that your
- 29:53Speaker 1: cousin picked Christian?
- 29:55Speaker 7: She's going to hate me.
- 29:56Speaker 13: I actually felt in my gut that she would actually
- 29:58Speaker 13: pick Christian.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Why do you say that? Is it something that's the
- 30:02Speaker 3: kind of guy she seems to go for? A little bit, yeah. Yeah,
- 30:06Speaker 3: she always picks the wrong guy.
- 30:08Speaker 8: But in my heart, I wouldn't say Jared because I
- 30:12Speaker 8: think that she could go amazing places with Jared.
- 30:15Speaker 9: But Erica, why didn't you go on a date with
- 30:17Speaker 9: both of them?
- 30:17Speaker 1: Should you see who you've got chemistry with and maybe
- 30:19Speaker 1: give a little peck to each guy?
- 30:21Speaker 11: Ah!
- 30:22Speaker 3: If you're interested, I'm no force in that. I need
- 30:25Speaker 3: to see these guys now. This is so unhinged.
- 30:27Speaker 7: I'm kind of here for it. I'll leave you one too.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Jared, do you want to do a little peck?
- 30:31Speaker 10: Yeah, let's do a little kiss here.
- 30:32Speaker 3: A little kissy kiss. First off, Jared's going to do
- 30:35Speaker 3: a little kiss. Here we go.
- 30:36Speaker 7: This is just a kiss, right? It's not like a
- 30:38Speaker 7: full make-out.
- 30:38Speaker 16: No, no, no.
- 30:40Speaker 3: Whatever you want. I'll leave you one too. Oh, that
- 30:45Speaker 3: was sweet. Christian, you want it? For me, we save
- 30:49Speaker 3: it for the date.
- 30:50Speaker 10: Wow.
- 30:52Speaker 3: There is no date, remember?
- 30:53Speaker 7: Who guaranteed the date here?
- 30:56Speaker 3: We're going on a date.
- 30:57Speaker 7: All right.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Well, congratulations, I think. We wish you well.
- 31:02Speaker 17: Thanks, guys.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Good on you guys. Thanks, Erica. I'm up the duff, preggers. Yeah.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Expecting my first child. I actually have a scan today
- 31:11Speaker 3: that I'm quite nervous for.
- 31:13Speaker 9: Why?
- 31:14Speaker 1: I'm sure most women that have been pregnant can relate
- 31:17Speaker 1: where you just, you want everything to be okay and
- 31:19Speaker 1: you want the baby to be healthy. So like just
- 31:21Speaker 1: before a scan, like I'm like, oh, like, I don't know, is.
- 31:25Speaker 3: She still in there?
- 31:25Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I get you.
- 31:26Speaker 1: Because I'm not at the point yet where I can
- 31:28Speaker 1: feel kicks or anything like that. So it's kind of,
- 31:30Speaker 1: I'm just relying on the fact that I have a
- 31:33Speaker 1: baby in there, which is so strange to me.
- 31:35Speaker 5: That'd make sense. But hopefully all good today.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Hopefully all good today.
- 31:38Speaker 5: What's her name?
- 31:39Speaker 3: I'm not telling you.
- 31:41Speaker 1: Um, so one thing I've noticed at the moment is
- 31:43Speaker 1: even when I'm looking ahead to this weekend, I'm kind
- 31:46Speaker 1: of thinking of my plans and what I'm going to do.
- 31:48Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay, yeah, I'll wake up and go
- 31:50Speaker 1: for a nice little sunrise walk and things.
- 31:52Speaker 3: After I finished that walk, I have nothing to do.
- 31:56Speaker 3: I'm not kidding. So maybe we'll get breakfast, right? Then what?
- 32:00Speaker 3: Then what?
- 32:01Speaker 1: Like, unless it involves like going and meandering around the
- 32:04Speaker 1: shops and buying things that cost me a lot of money,
- 32:06Speaker 1: what can I genuinely do?
- 32:08Speaker 3: Cause I don't have hobbies. Like pregnancies made me realize
- 32:11Speaker 3: I'm not a very well-rounded person. I've got work.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Well, I've got work Monday to Friday and yeah, most
- 32:17Speaker 1: of my weekends revolved around like we'd go to lunch,
- 32:19Speaker 1: but I'd have a drink and then we'd go home
- 32:22Speaker 1: and like have some more drinks together. Like my partner
- 32:24Speaker 1: and I really enjoy having a drink together on the weekends.
- 32:27Speaker 1: We don't drink during the week. But it is something
- 32:29Speaker 1: that we enjoy doing together.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Yeah, now you're pregnant. Now I'm pregnant. We can't do that.
- 32:34Speaker 5: Isn't this funny?
- 32:34Speaker 4: Because if you grow up and when you start going out,
- 32:38Speaker 4: your culture becomes about drinking.
- 32:40Speaker 5: Once you can't drink, there's not a lot going on.
- 32:44Speaker 1: To do well that's the thing I'll go for the
- 32:46Speaker 1: walk and sure that'll I can even stretch that out
- 32:49Speaker 1: for a couple of hours but.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Then you're done then I'm done and.
- 32:52Speaker 1: I sit there and I'm like what can I do
- 32:53Speaker 1: with my day I hate being when it's nice weather
- 32:55Speaker 1: particularly I hate sitting indoors and doing.
- 32:58Speaker 5: Nothing how good would a nice lunch and a drink be.
- 33:00Speaker 3: That's all I want.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Like even last night I went to dinner. Everyone's having cocktails. Oh,
- 33:05Speaker 1: here I am sipping on a mocktail.
- 33:07Speaker 3: It sucked.
- 33:08Speaker 5: So what do you need? Some hobby ideas?
- 33:10Speaker 3: Is that what you're saying?
- 33:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel, I don't know, like not everyone's as
- 33:14Speaker 1: dependent on alcohol-related activities as I am. So surely- other
- 33:20Speaker 1: people have some ideas of things that I can do
- 33:22Speaker 1: that don't cost me an arm and a leg, or
- 33:25Speaker 1: maybe you were really alcohol dependent and then you found
- 33:27Speaker 1: something that you enjoyed just as much when you were pregnant.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Because I don't have kids at the moment, so I
- 33:31Speaker 1: can't even take the family to the park or have
- 33:34Speaker 1: a little picnic or whatever.
- 33:35Speaker 5: 131065 if you've got an idea, because when I catch
- 33:40Speaker 5: up with my mates, all we do is drink. I
- 33:41Speaker 5: don't know what else I'd do, but I do have
- 33:43Speaker 5: one idea for you.
- 33:44Speaker 6: What?
- 33:45Speaker 4: Because I love a drink too, and if I couldn't drink,
- 33:48Speaker 4: I don't know what I'd do. But you love that walk.
- 33:51Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Why don't you extend it with a swim like I do?
- 33:55Speaker 4: I do the walk, then I do the swim. It's
- 33:57Speaker 4: starting to warm up.
- 33:58Speaker 3: It's spring. It's not warm enough for me yet.
- 34:00Speaker 4: You could come and swim with me every morning and
- 34:02Speaker 4: do laps in the ocean pool.
- 34:04Speaker 9: Nuts.
- 34:05Speaker 3: I'm there for you. No, I don't want to swim
- 34:07Speaker 3: with you. Get in. Just do it. Come and have
- 34:12Speaker 3: a swim. No, I don't. And you know what?
- 34:14Speaker 1: Summer actually makes it a lot easier because I'm happy
- 34:16Speaker 1: to kind of chill on the beach all day.
- 34:18Speaker 3: But until it's weather. You won't go in the water?
- 34:20Speaker 6: No.
- 34:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I will.
- 34:21Speaker 3: But I'm not going in the water with you, you weirdo.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Come for a swim, then. I need a swimming mate
- 34:26Speaker 3: in the morning. I'm not swimming with my work colleague.
- 34:29Speaker 3: Why not? No. It's weird.
- 34:32Speaker 5: All the offers there.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Thank you very much.
- 34:34Speaker 5: You can wear a full suit thing.
- 34:36Speaker 3: What are we going to do? Paddle next to each
- 34:38Speaker 3: other and not love this? Yeah, we'll do laps together.
- 34:40Speaker 3: Isn't that a good activity? We live in the same area.
- 34:43Speaker 3: I shouldn't have shut you down. I really appreciate the offer.
- 34:45Speaker 5: Come and do laps with Mikey.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Let's get Red Pubes on. He's giving us a buzz
- 34:49Speaker 3: on 131065.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Hey, Red Pubes, what do you think.
- 34:52Speaker 6: I should do? Hey, Nat.
- 34:53Speaker 7: Congratulations.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Oh, thank you, legend.
- 34:56Speaker 18: What you can do is what everyone else in the
- 34:58Speaker 18: show does and take up Pilates.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Hey.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Why are you doing Pilates? Guess what? You can't when
- 35:03Speaker 3: you're pregnant.
- 35:04Speaker 6: Oh.
- 35:04Speaker 17: Well, you can.
- 35:04Speaker 3: You have to do a specialist like pregnant Pilates. But
- 35:07Speaker 3: I started Pilates and then found out I was. And
- 35:10Speaker 3: a lot of the ab related stuff you can't do.
- 35:12Speaker 5: Pregnant Pilates.
- 35:13Speaker 3: It's a thing.
- 35:14Speaker 6: I know.
- 35:14Speaker 5: It's not a bad idea.
- 35:15Speaker 3: I can.
- 35:15Speaker 1: But again, like it's exercise. How much exercise can one
- 35:18Speaker 1: woman do?
- 35:19Speaker 5: Hey, a lot of people are calling through. Should we
- 35:21Speaker 5: go to a song and take some more calls?
- 35:22Speaker 18: Yeah, sure. Yep.
- 35:23Speaker 3: I want really fun suggestions. I want to do something
- 35:25Speaker 3: fun this weekend.
- 35:26Speaker 5: Yeah, like come for a swim.
- 35:28Speaker 3: I'm not swimming with you, you freak.
- 35:29Speaker 4: 131065, give her a fun non-alcoholic suggestion if such thing exists.
- 35:35Speaker 4: We'll take your calls up next on KISS. All right, Nat,
- 35:38Speaker 4: you need a hobby because all you did to party, well,
- 35:41Speaker 4: all you did on the weekend was drink.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Yeah, basically like a big part of my lifestyle was
- 35:46Speaker 1: enjoying a drink with my partner, going to lunch, having
- 35:49Speaker 1: a cocktail.
- 35:50Speaker 3: And then when I found out I was pregnant, that's
- 35:52Speaker 3: come to a very abrupt end. It's all over.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Yeah, so I've been trying to fill... My weekends with things.
- 35:58Speaker 1: I mean, I can go for a walk. Maybe I
- 35:59Speaker 1: can drag that out two hours. Sure, I can go
- 36:01Speaker 1: for a breakfast afterwards.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Then what? What am I supposed to do with my day?
- 36:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I just feel really lazy sitting inside watching TV
- 36:10Speaker 1: when there's so much to do on the weekend after
- 36:11Speaker 1: a long week of work.
- 36:13Speaker 4: All right, what can Nat do instead of drinking? It's
- 36:16Speaker 4: a challenge because I don't know what I'd do.
- 36:17Speaker 3: 131065.
- 36:19Speaker 5: Hello, Tony. You got an idea for Nat?
- 36:22Speaker 3: Nat, PlayStation. PlayStation. Oh, I've got a PlayStation. Oh, there
- 36:26Speaker 3: you go. Yeah, but I mean. Become a gamer, Nat.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Again, that just feels like it's on the same level
- 36:31Speaker 1: as sitting at home playing Netflix.
- 36:33Speaker 3: What am I going to be, a gamer?
- 36:34Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I am excited for the new GTA 6 to come out.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I'll give that a go, but that's not till November.
- 36:38Speaker 5: That's something to do. Rochelle's on.
- 36:40Speaker 6: Hi.
- 36:41Speaker 5: Well, what's your idea for Nat?
- 36:43Speaker 19: Hello, guys. Congratulations. I started a business.
- 36:46Speaker 6: Oh, there you go.
- 36:47Speaker 3: What kind of business did you start?
- 36:48Speaker 19: Yeah, I started my own business. So it's actually an
- 36:51Speaker 19: energy drink for, surprisingly enough, gamers called the Gamer Realm.
- 36:56Speaker 19: And it's, yeah, my partner and I actually started this
- 36:59Speaker 19: business and that really kept me going.
- 37:02Speaker 4: You know, that's funny because you waste a lot of
- 37:04Speaker 4: time if you go out drinking or you're hungover or whatever.
- 37:06Speaker 5: You could use that time to start a side hustle.
- 37:09Speaker 3: Really constructively, yeah. That's a really good idea. Thank you, Rochelle.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Bay Ray.
- 37:14Speaker 5: Hey, Bay Ray.
- 37:15Speaker 6: Beret.
- 37:16Speaker 15: Beret.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Like the French hat.
- 37:19Speaker 11: A beret.
- 37:21Speaker 9: Hello.
- 37:21Speaker 3: What do you think I should do?
- 37:23Speaker 15: Honestly, I love kayaking personally, and I haven't done it
- 37:27Speaker 15: in years.
- 37:28Speaker 3: There you go.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Kayaking.
- 37:29Speaker 5: Yeah, and a pregnant woman can kayak, right?
- 37:31Speaker 3: There's no problem. Beret, I can kayak, right?
- 37:35Speaker 15: Yeah, why wouldn't you?
- 37:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's low impact. It's not like I'm on a
- 37:38Speaker 1: jet ski. How quick do you think I can paddle?
- 37:41Speaker 5: And it's warming up. You're not far from the water.
- 37:44Speaker 3: How much is a kayak?
- 37:45Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 37:45Speaker 3: What can you get a kayak for, Beret?
- 37:47Speaker 5: A couple of hundred?
- 37:48Speaker 3: Oh, you can just hire it.
- 37:49Speaker 6: Yeah, true.
- 37:50Speaker 3: But you can buy it.
- 37:51Speaker 5: My dad kayaks. I'll ask him.
- 37:52Speaker 3: He's got all the kit. Well, I get real big,
- 37:54Speaker 3: muscly shoulders from kayaking.
- 37:55Speaker 5: Yeah, you'd be like a big, built swimmer chick.
- 37:57Speaker 16: Oh, yeah.
- 37:58Speaker 3: A bit of muscle never hurt anyone. Jodie.
- 38:01Speaker 17: Hey, how are you going?
- 38:02Speaker 1: Good.
- 38:03Speaker 3: What do you think I should do now with all
- 38:04Speaker 3: my free pregnant time?
- 38:07Speaker 17: Well, I think, Nat, that you should get into swimming
- 38:09Speaker 17: and float around like a big fish because I'll tell
- 38:11Speaker 17: you what happens when you're swimming. Your baby absolutely loves
- 38:14Speaker 17: it and it's so good for your body. It feels
- 38:15Speaker 17: relaxing and amazing and it's the best thing to do.
- 38:18Speaker 17: You can go out and see all the other mums
- 38:19Speaker 17: of their kids and all the other people in the
- 38:21Speaker 17: pool and they're all having fun.
- 38:22Speaker 4: I did offer her to come and do ocean swimming
- 38:25Speaker 4: with me every weekend.
- 38:25Speaker 3: I don't want to spend the weekends with you. I'd
- 38:27Speaker 3: rather be with my fiancé.
- 38:28Speaker 5: He can come in too. We could join a swimming club.
- 38:32Speaker 3: You, me, him, my girlfriend. What's the swimming club called?
- 38:35Speaker 9: Uh.
- 38:36Speaker 5: The radio's swimming peeps.
- 38:37Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 38:38Speaker 5: We'll come up with something.
- 38:41Speaker 3: I already want to leave the club and I'm not
- 38:42Speaker 3: in it. It's a good idea though, Jodie, swimming.
- 38:47Speaker 1: No, I've already thought about the fact that I'm due
- 38:49Speaker 1: early March, so I'm going to be heavily pregnant in
- 38:52Speaker 1: summer and I'll be hot, sweaty and bothered. So I
- 38:55Speaker 1: will be laying mostly in like a bed of water.
- 38:59Speaker 3: Right. Some sort of foul bath. I can't even have
- 39:02Speaker 3: baths when you're pregnant.
- 39:03Speaker 6: What? What?
- 39:04Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't have hot baths because you could melt
- 39:06Speaker 3: the bed.
- 39:06Speaker 5: Oh, you could start doing ice baths.
- 39:10Speaker 3: No, you can't do that either. Can't do extreme temperatures.
- 39:12Speaker 5: What can you do?
- 39:12Speaker 9: I know.
- 39:13Speaker 3: I know. Mental.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:15Speaker 5: Lucky I'll never be pregnant.
- 39:16Speaker 8: I know.
- 39:17Speaker 3: And that's the thing. The man's life continues as normal.
- 39:20Speaker 5: Oh, if you've got some ideas, why don't you keep
- 39:23Speaker 5: hitting us up?
- 39:24Speaker 1: Or anything you want to say. We're going to do
- 39:25Speaker 1: your last calls next. Anything that's on your mind, just
- 39:28Speaker 1: give us a buzz.
- 39:29Speaker 11: 13106.
- 39:30Speaker 3: And we'll speak to you next.
- 39:31Speaker 5: Renee's on. Hi, good morning, Renee.
- 39:33Speaker 13: Good morning.
- 39:34Speaker 9: How are you?
- 39:35Speaker 6: Good.
- 39:35Speaker 5: What do you want to talk about?
- 39:37Speaker 15: I was just going to say to Nat that she
- 39:39Speaker 15: should start baking.
- 39:40Speaker 5: Oh, so Nat needs a hobby.
- 39:41Speaker 3: I need hobbies that don't involve alcohol.
- 39:43Speaker 5: Because she's pregnant.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I'm pregnant, can't drink, and I realise that my life
- 39:47Speaker 1: has been very one-dimensional up until now. All my hobbies
- 39:50Speaker 1: involve alcohol, aside from my walks in the morning.
- 39:53Speaker 5: Well, you can even do them with a drink if
- 39:55Speaker 5: you want.
- 39:56Speaker 1: We actually sometimes used to stop in the middle and
- 39:58Speaker 1: there's a restaurant down by the water.
- 39:59Speaker 5: We'd walk by and we'd just have a drink. You
- 40:01Speaker 5: can't do any of that. So what are you saying?
- 40:04Speaker 9: Baking.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Baking.
- 40:05Speaker 15: Baking biscuits, cakes, cupcakes.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, but then I'll just get really fat.
- 40:10Speaker 5: Well, you're eating for two.
- 40:11Speaker 3: That's not a thing. Apparently, that's not a thing.
- 40:14Speaker 18: Really?
- 40:14Speaker 3: I wish it was, yeah.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Like, you do get a bigger appetite, which is why
- 40:17Speaker 1: they say it, but you don't need to eat more.
- 40:20Speaker 1: People take it the wrong way and think you have
- 40:22Speaker 1: to eat for two people.
- 40:23Speaker 5: Or is it just, you know, you're putting on weight anyway,
- 40:25Speaker 5: so you might as well just, like, throw the diet
- 40:27Speaker 5: out the window.
- 40:28Speaker 4: You could bake treats and bring them into work. You'd
- 40:30Speaker 4: be one of those people coming with cupcakes and sourdough.
- 40:34Speaker 3: If I was going to bake anything, I'd probably try
- 40:36Speaker 3: and make a good sourdough. I love sourdough.
- 40:38Speaker 5: All right, bring in the bread.
- 40:39Speaker 3: But that's not easy. You've got to have that weird
- 40:41Speaker 3: starter that's like alive. It's like a fungi.
- 40:43Speaker 5: You've got the time, though. You've got nothing else to do.
- 40:45Speaker 3: I'll spend this weekend nailing my sourdough starter. Andrea, hello.
- 40:50Speaker 15: Good morning. I think you should try Aqua Driving Range.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Aqua Driving Range? Oh, like you hit the golf ball
- 40:56Speaker 3: into the water.
- 40:56Speaker 9: You hit the golf ball.
- 40:57Speaker 11: It's nothing more satisfying. You get the pregnancy hormones out
- 41:01Speaker 11: of the way. It's low impact. You can aim for
- 41:03Speaker 11: the little baskets, get rewards.
- 41:05Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 41:05Speaker 18: And it's great.
- 41:06Speaker 3: I can really smack the ball to get my anger.
- 41:08Speaker 3: I do have a set of golf clubs.
- 41:10Speaker 5: There you go.
- 41:10Speaker 3: I might try that. Thank you, Andrea.
- 41:12Speaker 4: That'd still go better with a drink after you.
- 41:14Speaker 3: I wouldn't adjust. They always say the 19th hole's the
- 41:17Speaker 3: best one. Luke, you're on air, mate.
- 41:20Speaker 10: Hello.
- 41:21Speaker 11: Hey, Nat.
- 41:23Speaker 18: I reckon you should get into some furniture flipping. I
- 41:26Speaker 18: buy secondhand pieces off Facebook Marketplace for relatively cheap, like
- 41:29Speaker 18: max $ 20, $ 30, and then I put a fresh lick
- 41:32Speaker 18: of paint, some new hardware on, and then I sell
- 41:35Speaker 18: it for upwards of $ 200, $ 250.
- 41:36Speaker 9: Wow.
- 41:37Speaker 18: Furniture flipping.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Good on you with your little hobby.
- 41:41Speaker 1: I see this stuff on TikTok, and I always think
- 41:43Speaker 1: to myself, huh, that kind of looks fun, but then
- 41:45Speaker 1: when I think about it and actually doing it, I'm like, ugh.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I couldn't be bothered.
- 41:50Speaker 5: You couldn't be bothered sanding back furniture?
- 41:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:52Speaker 1: I mean, it just feels like it requires a lot
- 41:55Speaker 1: of effort. And also, I need a space to be
- 41:57Speaker 1: able to like spray.
- 41:58Speaker 3: Paint and things. I'm in an apartment. I don't know
- 42:00Speaker 3: where I'd do that. Yeah, but it's in a communal space.
- 42:02Speaker 3: I'm not going to be able to just spray paint
- 42:04Speaker 3: in the, you know what I mean?
- 42:05Speaker 16: All right, mate.
- 42:05Speaker 5: She poo-pooed your idea. Gabby's on.
- 42:06Speaker 2: Hi, Gabby.
- 42:06Speaker 3: I'd really like your idea for.
- 42:07Speaker 16: You, though.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Gabby.
- 42:09Speaker 9: Hey, Gabby.
- 42:10Speaker 11: Hi, guys.
- 42:11Speaker 13: Congratulations, Nat. How many weeks are you now?
- 42:14Speaker 1: About to hit 14. I'm still pretty early, but yeah.
- 42:17Speaker 19: Oh, yeah.
- 42:18Speaker 11: Early days.
- 42:18Speaker 18: Beautiful.
- 42:19Speaker 13: I'm a midwife and I was just calling because I
- 42:22Speaker 13: was surprised that you were saying you couldn't have a
- 42:24Speaker 13: bath and do Pilates.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I know you can do Pilates, but it's
- 42:28Speaker 1: like you have to do it. You have to avoid
- 42:30Speaker 1: certain things like you can't do any intensive ab work
- 42:33Speaker 1: and things. But the bath, I've definitely been told you
- 42:35Speaker 1: can't have a hot bath because you can't have extreme
- 42:38Speaker 1: temperatures that alter your core body temperature.
- 42:41Speaker 5: Is that not right, Gabby?
- 42:42Speaker 13: Yeah, but you can still have a bath. Like most
- 42:44Speaker 13: people wouldn't have extremely hot baths. Do you normally have
- 42:47Speaker 13: like extremely hot baths?
- 42:48Speaker 1: I mean, if Kane gets in my shower after me,
- 42:51Speaker 1: he's like, ah, like it burns his skin.
- 42:53Speaker 5: So she's going to have a lukewarm bath?
- 42:55Speaker 13: I would still give it a go. Like it's not
- 42:57Speaker 13: even cold. So if we do a water birth, the
- 43:01Speaker 13: temperature is between 34 34 to 37 degrees, which is
- 43:04Speaker 13: just the standard bath. That's a nice warm bath.
- 43:07Speaker 1: So, okay, maybe I need one of those ducky thermometers.
- 43:10Speaker 1: But so how hot is too hot? Like my skin's
- 43:13Speaker 1: burning and turning red is too hot.
- 43:14Speaker 18: Yeah, so if.
- 43:16Speaker 13: Your skin's turning red, you're getting really sweaty, you're getting
- 43:18Speaker 13: extremely thirsty, you're getting dizzy, that's too much.
- 43:21Speaker 5: So what did you say?
- 43:22Speaker 13: You can definitely still have a bath a few times
- 43:24Speaker 13: a week.
- 43:25Speaker 3: If she drew a bath, 34, is that what you're saying?
- 43:27Speaker 6: 34 degrees? Yes.
- 43:28Speaker 13: 34 to 37 degrees is safe.
- 43:32Speaker 1: I have another question for you, Gabby, because I feel
- 43:34Speaker 1: as if a lot of these pregnancy rules that have
- 43:36Speaker 1: floated around online and that people give to you, are they.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Being really overly cautious?
- 43:43Speaker 1: Because the things I can't eat and stuff like that,
- 43:45Speaker 1: I'm so over it.
- 43:47Speaker 13: So listeria is a serious one. That's because it can
- 43:52Speaker 13: go through the placenta, which your baby doesn't have protection to,
- 43:55Speaker 13: which can cause miscarriage, which we.
- 43:57Speaker 11: Don't want, obviously.
- 43:59Speaker 13: So food is like you definitely double check things like that.
- 44:02Speaker 13: But where it comes to exercise and things that you enjoy,
- 44:07Speaker 13: half the time people are over exaggerating and you don't
- 44:09Speaker 13: need to quit these things.
- 44:10Speaker 3: I have one more question for you.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I was looking at going away on a holiday and
- 44:14Speaker 1: one of the places I was looking at or two
- 44:16Speaker 1: of the places I was looking at is Fiji and
- 44:18Speaker 1: the Cook Islands. And both of them apparently have like
- 44:20Speaker 1: a high presence of Zika virus in the mosquitoes over there.
- 44:25Speaker 1: So when I was looking into it, I was literally
- 44:26Speaker 1: about to book and someone's like, don't do it because
- 44:28Speaker 1: of Zika virus and it's a serious risk to your baby.
- 44:31Speaker 1: Would you say you wouldn't take the risk or it's
- 44:33Speaker 1: such a low risk that most pregnant women would go
- 44:36Speaker 1: and be fine?
- 44:37Speaker 3: Me personally, I wouldn't.
- 44:38Speaker 13: Me personally, I would not take the risk just because
- 44:41Speaker 13: if you look into Zika virus, you don't ever want
- 44:43Speaker 13: to have to experience that.
- 44:44Speaker 5: Why do all the other stuff well and then risk that?
- 44:47Speaker 1: And that's the thing. I was like, imagine if something
- 44:49Speaker 1: happened to my baby just because I wanted to go
- 44:51Speaker 1: on a trip. Yeah.
- 44:52Speaker 3: Good on you, Gabby. Thank you, Gabby. Very informative.
- 44:54Speaker 5: All right, last call for the week. Ben, what do
- 44:56Speaker 5: you want to chat about, Ben?
- 44:57Speaker 10: Hey, guys.
- 44:58Speaker 6: I just want to have a chat about Father's Day
- 45:00Speaker 6: and Father's Day presents.
- 45:01Speaker 3: Sunday.
- 45:02Speaker 1: You're celebrating tomorrow, but Father's Day Sunday. What did you
- 45:05Speaker 1: want to say, Ben?
- 45:06Speaker 6: Wade, oh, they still have the little father. You know,
- 45:09Speaker 6: at school, you used to be able to get a
- 45:10Speaker 6: couple of dollars and pick, like, a paperweight or something
- 45:14Speaker 6: for your dad. Do they still do that at the schools?
- 45:16Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 45:31Speaker 6: Yeah, they still do it. Like you give the kid $ 10,
- 45:33Speaker 6: he spends $ 2 and pockets the $ 8, you know.
- 45:36Speaker 3: Yeah, gets a pizza pocket from the canteen.
- 45:38Speaker 10: Oh, that's good.
- 45:39Speaker 4: So you don't care about what's spent on you. You
- 45:41Speaker 4: just want a nice crappy present and the kids.
- 45:44Speaker 11: Around, yeah?
- 45:45Speaker 6: Yeah, I just want the most crappiest present. I've also
- 45:47Speaker 6: got actually socks which are painted with texture as well
- 45:50Speaker 6: from Amazon. So I can't wait to actually wear those
- 45:52Speaker 6: and have the texture actually go through my feet. That's
- 45:54Speaker 6: going to be amazing.
- 45:55Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 45:55Speaker 1: You know what they say, though? They always say, oh,
- 45:57Speaker 1: you just want to spend time with the kids. But
- 45:58Speaker 1: in all honesty, Ben, you said you're a father of four.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Would you not want the day to just be left
- 46:02Speaker 1: alone and not have to be a dad.
- 46:05Speaker 3: For a day?
- 46:05Speaker 6: No. At the end of the day, I said, hey,
- 46:08Speaker 6: they're little versions of me. I said, you love it.
- 46:10Speaker 6: I said, hey, and it feels good to be special.
- 46:12Speaker 6: It feels special.
- 46:13Speaker 3: See, don't you hear that, Mikey? And don't you just
- 46:15Speaker 3: want to pop a kid out?
- 46:16Speaker 5: I'm not, like, bursting the seams to do it, but
- 46:19Speaker 5: I'm going to do it. I'm also pregnant.
- 46:21Speaker 3: There's my announcement. You personally, not your partner. You're pregnant.
- 46:26Speaker 5: Yeah, you've seen the movie Junior.
- 46:27Speaker 7: Okay.
- 46:28Speaker 3: No, I haven't.
- 46:29Speaker 6: Oh, really?
- 46:29Speaker 3: You've just assumed. Yeah, you've seen. No, I haven't. Arnie
- 46:33Speaker 3: gets pregnant. Arnold Schwarzenegger is pregnant.
- 46:36Speaker 7: Yes.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Of all actors, I'm pregnant. Yeah, it's so stupid. Hey,
- 46:42Speaker 3: that is it. Hey, stick around.
