- 2:11Speaker 3: that is that February 14th weekend. Now they're rescheduled there.

- 2:20Speaker 3: is at heathermcdoll.net. I will see you there. And that's it.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Let's get going with the show. Hello and welcome to
- 2:30Speaker 3: Juicy Scoop. I have returned guest. Last time she was on,
- 2:33Speaker 3: it was a Zoom, but this is the first time
- 2:35Speaker 3: in person. I'm so excited to bring back star of
- 2:39Speaker 3: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Sutton. Just one word, Sutton.
- 2:45Speaker 3: You're a fashionista. You have your own store. How are you?
- 2:49Speaker 3: Southern belle, bellerina. There's so many things that you are.
- 2:53Speaker 1: The word southern belle is so funny. It sounds antiquated,
- 2:56Speaker 1: doesn't it? But people like to label. So it's fine.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I'll call myself a southern belle because I've never forgotten
- 3:02Speaker 1: my roots.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You know? I will forever be Southern.
- 3:07Speaker 3: I love it. I love a Southern belle.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:11Speaker 3: So I'm really excited that you're here. I am so
- 3:14Speaker 3: excited to be here in person.
- 3:15Speaker 1: It's not pandemic. I cannot believe that it's been that
- 3:18Speaker 1: long since. I mean, I've seen you. You've come to
- 3:21Speaker 1: store events and stuff. You're so great to be supportive
- 3:24Speaker 1: like that. But that's the first time we met was
- 3:28Speaker 1: on a laptop.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:30Speaker 1: My first season- On Real Housewives.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Which I always kind of like getting someone their first
- 3:36Speaker 3: season to kind of get the whole backstory. And that's
- 3:38Speaker 3: when I was like, oh, I didn't know that you
- 3:41Speaker 3: studied ballet. I didn't know that then, you know, like
- 3:43Speaker 3: your whole backstory. Because I feel like definitely it's hard
- 3:48Speaker 3: to get that, you know, when you're just joining the
- 3:50Speaker 3: cast and everything. So now this is what? This next
- 3:55Speaker 3: season will be like your fifth season?
- 3:56Speaker 1: It's my fifth season, yeah.
- 3:59Speaker 3: I mean, like in general. I survived. Like, here you are.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Here's the latest cast. Yeah. So we have your friend.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Jennifer Tilly.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Is going to be, quote, unquote, a friend of the show.
- 4:12Speaker 3: We've seen her a bunch at events. And you guys
- 4:14Speaker 3: go into, like, Dolce & Gabbana and laughing and having fun.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Of course, she's a huge, hilarious actress.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Yeah, she's a great actress.
- 4:22Speaker 3: And then we have this other new girl on the end.
- 4:24Speaker 3: What is her name? Bose.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Bose.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:26Speaker 3: And then everybody else, it's Dorit, Garcelle, Kyle. Erica Jane, you,
- 4:32Speaker 3: and then Kathy Hilton as like a friend too. Yeah.
- 4:35Speaker 3: And I mean, I can't wait. Beverly Hills never disappoints.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Never disappoints.
- 4:39Speaker 1: It's a really good season. We had a lot of fun. Yeah.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And which I think in the, I was like. You know,
- 4:49Speaker 1: doing five years. Yeah. The first three, I was like,
- 4:53Speaker 1: is this how it is? Because it was a bit
- 4:55Speaker 1: dark for a while.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Well, yeah, because you had the Erika Jayne stuff. That
- 5:00Speaker 3: all broke. We had Denise.
- 5:01Speaker 1: We had Erika Jayne. We had everybody piling on Sutton.
- 5:07Speaker 3: So finally— So wait, the first season of Denise, was
- 5:10Speaker 3: that when the rumors— Were going that she and Brandy
- 5:14Speaker 3: had had a little fun in Canada while filming a
- 5:17Speaker 3: Hallmark movie.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess so. And I was like, okay. And
- 5:21Speaker 1: I was very quiet my first season.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Because Jennifer and I were talking about this last night
- 5:26Speaker 1: at dinner. Because Jennifer, you know, she's a big fan.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So she came in thinking, oh, I know exactly what's
- 5:34Speaker 1: going to happen. She had no idea.
- 5:36Speaker 5: She goes, nothing can prepare you for doing this show.
- 5:42Speaker 5: and she said, you know, I come in as an actress, like, oh,
- 5:44Speaker 5: look at me, look at me, you know, and nobody's
- 5:46Speaker 5: looking at me, and I said, well, imagine coming in
- 5:50Speaker 5: as a normal person, and, you know, you have all
- 5:53Speaker 5: of these women who are actresses or models, whatever they are, and,
- 5:57Speaker 5: or they've been on the show for years, I, they're like,
- 6:00Speaker 5: who's that, and didn't pay attention to me, and so
- 6:03Speaker 5: I just sat back and watched, and then all of
- 6:07Speaker 5: this stuff about threesomes is flying around, and I just thought, what?
- 6:14Speaker 3: What?
- 6:15Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 6:17Speaker 5: And why are we yelling at the table? And, you know,
- 6:20Speaker 5: you don't know where to sit. And then I was like,
- 6:22Speaker 5: the place guards are very important, ladies. Let's, you know,
- 6:25Speaker 5: because you never know where to sit.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Right.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Or who to sit with.
- 6:28Speaker 5: And Jennifer felt the same way going in. So it
- 6:30Speaker 5: was funny just talking about that. But yeah, that first
- 6:32Speaker 5: season was crazy. Rome was wild.
- 6:36Speaker 1: And like our reunion was crazy because we did it.
- 6:39Speaker 1: Did you say Rome? Rome. Oh, we went to Rome.
- 6:43Speaker 3: This season.
- 6:43Speaker 1: So we haven't seen it. No, my first season with Denise.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Oh, that's right. It was Rome.
- 6:48Speaker 1: It was Rome. And then our reunion was on laptops
- 6:52Speaker 1: and Denise is throwing papers around.
- 6:55Speaker 5: I don't know what was happening. I'm like, what is
- 6:58Speaker 5: this show? So it's just funny to... have a friend.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Now do it with me.
- 7:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 1: To hear her side. I'm like, oh yeah, that happened
- 7:07Speaker 1: to me too. I remember those feelings.
- 7:08Speaker 3: So with that, how did that really come about? So you,
- 7:11Speaker 3: you know, in, they got to know your life. They
- 7:14Speaker 3: got to know Okay, we've got this woman Sutton. She's divorced.
- 7:17Speaker 3: These are her kids. And we didn't see your kids
- 7:21Speaker 3: because I guess that was an agreement between you and
- 7:24Speaker 3: your ex-husband that they not be on camera.
- 7:26Speaker 5: He was not going to sign the waiver to let
- 7:30Speaker 5: the children be filmed.
- 7:31Speaker 3: And now that they're almost of all of age, we
- 7:34Speaker 3: got to see your daughter that looks just like you
- 7:37Speaker 3: but with brown hair. She's very cute. We got to
- 7:39Speaker 3: see her a little bit last season. How do you
- 7:41Speaker 3: feel about that now? Do you feel like maybe in
- 7:44Speaker 3: the end that was the right decision? Because who cares?
- 7:46Speaker 3: They can be on it if they want to now.
- 7:48Speaker 5: Well, I think even, you know, five years ago, they
- 7:52Speaker 5: would have said, I don't want to do it.
- 7:53Speaker 1: I mean, I can't force my children to do it.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Well, they wouldn't have wanted to do it. Because sometimes
- 7:57Speaker 3: I hear from housewives, Tamara Barney, judge of OC, she
- 8:02Speaker 3: always had an issue with her ex, Simon, not allowing
- 8:05Speaker 3: the kids to be on camera. And she said her
- 8:06Speaker 3: youngest very much wanted to do it. Now we see
- 8:09Speaker 3: the youngest, Sophia. I personally think, and I know Brandy
- 8:14Speaker 3: Glanville always wanted her boys to be seen, but Eddie
- 8:18Speaker 3: Cibrian said no. I'm like, I always think that's like
- 8:21Speaker 3: the gift that even if you didn't want it.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Yeah. Who cares?
- 8:24Speaker 3: Like why? So what? Why do we need to see
- 8:26Speaker 3: you at 13?
- 8:26Speaker 1: I think for me, I have always, I let my
- 8:31Speaker 1: children kind of guide their own lives and they know
- 8:36Speaker 1: what's right and what's wrong and what's right for them.
- 8:39Speaker 5: I think they would have said, I don't want to
- 8:41Speaker 5: do this. You know, and that would have been an
- 8:44Speaker 5: easy decision for them. I don't want to take decisions, decision.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Making away from my children.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 1: So I didn't really enjoy that. That was like adamant.
- 8:56Speaker 1: You know, once I turned 18, then.
- 8:58Speaker 5: There was the conversation. Will you do this scene with me? And,
- 9:05Speaker 5: you know, my daughter Porter is very shy.
- 9:08Speaker 1: She didn't want to do it. And I said, you know,
- 9:09Speaker 1: I think it might be fun.
- 9:11Speaker 5: And so we will forevermore have the first scene that
- 9:14Speaker 5: I did with her was with, um, Lisa Rinna.
- 9:17Speaker 1: And I think we talked about, um, the sorority thing. Yeah. She,
- 9:20Speaker 1: it was her first year of college. And, um, so
- 9:25Speaker 1: we'll always have that. And then when my son turned 18,
- 9:27Speaker 1: I had moved into my new house and we made
- 9:31Speaker 1: chicken salad together. And like, I will always have that.
- 9:35Speaker 3: And, um, Like that moment on film in time. Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 3: I do think that's a lovely part about being on
- 9:42Speaker 3: a reality show is just having that forever, providing it
- 9:47Speaker 3: wasn't a horrific experience for anybody. Providing it wasn't like
- 9:50Speaker 3: a kid crying or acting like a total brat and
- 9:53Speaker 3: now they're embarrassed by it. Like I think people don't
- 9:56Speaker 3: think enough about that, putting their younger kids on the show.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:59Speaker 3: That there is this time in your life when your
- 10:01Speaker 3: brain isn't fully formed and maybe you're being disrespectful or
- 10:04Speaker 3: rude and it gets played for the next 20 years
- 10:07Speaker 3: and people remember that Gina– Kino's son was horrible and
- 10:12Speaker 3: rude to her when she unexpectedly visited him at a
- 10:17Speaker 3: baseball game. And she told me, like she was an
- 10:20Speaker 3: original Real Housewives OC, that that was a really hard
- 10:24Speaker 3: thing for him for the years to come. Now he's
- 10:26Speaker 3: married and I think a father. But, you know, he
- 10:30Speaker 3: just was being a young kid.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Jerk.
- 10:32Speaker 3: And he probably wasn't, he probably had, she just come alone.
- 10:35Speaker 3: He wouldn't have acted like that.
- 10:37Speaker 4: Right.
- 10:37Speaker 3: It's that she surprised him with cameras. Yeah.
- 10:39Speaker 5: Well, and also I think as a parent, you have
- 10:41Speaker 5: to be smart about your choices and, and the predicament
- 10:46Speaker 5: that you put your children in. So, you know, for me,
- 10:50Speaker 5: I've had some really nice moments so far with my
- 10:53Speaker 5: two oldest children. And it's kind of fun to watch
- 10:57Speaker 5: my middle son I've filmed with him like twice now.
- 11:01Speaker 1: And now this season I've filmed with him. And, you know, he,
- 11:04Speaker 1: you know, it's going to be fun to watch those scenes.
- 11:09Speaker 1: I like them.
- 11:10Speaker 5: And I think later they're going to get to watch
- 11:13Speaker 5: them and be like, this is so great that we
- 11:15Speaker 5: got to do this together.
- 11:17Speaker 3: Oh, I think that's really cool. Well, of course, we're
- 11:21Speaker 3: not going to do any spoilers. We're excited to see
- 11:23Speaker 3: the show. I don't want to get you in trouble.
- 11:25Speaker 1: No, I won't get in trouble. I don't get myself
- 11:27Speaker 1: in trouble. Okay.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Okay. So I want to talk about this because this
- 11:30Speaker 3: has caused some controversy. Are you aware of it?
- 11:33Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, I saw– I was with– Let me explain first.
- 11:36Speaker 3: To the people. So of course this week is Fashion
- 11:39Speaker 3: Week in New York and a lot of stars, a
- 11:41Speaker 3: lot of reality stars are enjoying the fashion shows. And
- 11:45Speaker 3: Kathy Hilton was there with her two daughters, Nikki and Paris,
- 11:49Speaker 3: and Tiffany Haddish, the comedian, was next to them. And
- 11:52Speaker 3: it all got caught on film where Kathy is like,
- 11:57Speaker 3: you should go. And walk the runway. And it was
- 12:01Speaker 3: not like a runway on a thing. It was like
- 12:03Speaker 3: you step right out and that's the runway.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:05Speaker 3: So it was a little bit different than like getting
- 12:07Speaker 3: out of your seat and stepping up on a stage.
- 12:09Speaker 3: But still, go and walk the runway. And she's wearing
- 12:12Speaker 3: just like a cool like green pantsuit, Tiffany. And she's like,
- 12:16Speaker 3: do it, do it, do it now. And she does it.
- 12:19Speaker 3: And the crowd seems to be happy. I don't know
- 12:22Speaker 3: that the designer was sad. I think if anything, he's
- 12:24Speaker 3: thrilled it brought attention to his line or her line.
- 12:27Speaker 4: But.
- 12:28Speaker 3: It was interesting because I started to see all these
- 12:31Speaker 3: TikToks and stuff of how people were reacting in a
- 12:36Speaker 3: certain way of like, it was almost like the girls
- 12:41Speaker 3: were kind of bullying Tiffany to do this, like a dare.
- 12:46Speaker 3: And it's almost like, it was reminding people of like,
- 12:49Speaker 3: you're the new girl at school and it's like mean
- 12:52Speaker 3: girls and they're getting to go do something and you
- 12:54Speaker 3: shouldn't have done it because it does kind of take
- 12:56Speaker 3: away from the designers and the fashion. And I personally
- 13:00Speaker 3: think Tiffany is a good girl. She's a nice person.
- 13:05Speaker 3: I don't think anybody, I don't think she thought through like,
- 13:08Speaker 3: this isn't my moment to take.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Right.
- 13:10Speaker 3: And I should tell them not to. I think she
- 13:12Speaker 3: was just in the moment having fun. Right. You know,
- 13:16Speaker 3: But I can see all the different points of view
- 13:18Speaker 3: when you watch it like that. Right.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Well, I've seen parts of it. You know, Kathy is
- 13:25Speaker 1: a jokester. And she loves that. I have heard, and
- 13:30Speaker 1: I don't know for sure, but I've heard that Nikki
- 13:33Speaker 1: and Paris.
- 13:33Speaker 5: Are friends with the designer. And I was supposed to
- 13:38Speaker 5: be at the show and didn't make it. It poured
- 13:40Speaker 5: down rain that day in New York.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 13:43Speaker 1: And....
- 13:44Speaker 5: You know, I think, one, if Kathy was baiting a
- 13:49Speaker 5: little bit, Tiffany has her own. Again, going back to
- 13:53Speaker 5: like the conversation about my children, you can make up
- 13:55Speaker 5: your own mind whether you want to do it or not.
- 13:57Speaker 5: You know, you don't have to do anything. You know,
- 14:01Speaker 5: Kathy's not a mastermind that is controlling people.
- 14:05Speaker 3: You know, but I.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Think Kathy was probably just trying to have a little
- 14:09Speaker 1: bit of fun. And Tiffany probably just said, OK, let's
- 14:12Speaker 1: have some fun. Yes.
- 14:15Speaker 3: That's what I think.
- 14:16Speaker 5: If I had been the designer, I probably would, you know,
- 14:21Speaker 5: it's so hard because you spend so much time and
- 14:25Speaker 5: money on these shows.
- 14:27Speaker 1: And being reverent as a spectator, I think, is important.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Because what if just a regular person had decided to
- 14:42Speaker 1: do that? What would the response have been to that?
- 14:45Speaker 3: Good point.
- 14:45Speaker 1: To that person. I guess that's maybe a better question.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Yeah. The privilege of just being like, oh, I'm a
- 14:50Speaker 3: star and it's fine. And won't it be funny? And
- 14:53Speaker 3: it's like, well, what about the models? What about everybody
- 14:55Speaker 3: that put the show together?
- 14:56Speaker 1: Right.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Now the after it is it's publicity. It's all good.
- 15:01Speaker 3: But I do respect people seeing it and being like,
- 15:05Speaker 3: you know, this is why sometimes you just have to
- 15:07Speaker 3: think and everything's filmed. Every move you make.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Right.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Whether you want to be a little annoyed at someone
- 15:14Speaker 3: at Starbucks or not, it's like you go outside of
- 15:17Speaker 3: your home and celebrity or not, you really have to
- 15:23Speaker 3: be very conscious of how you behave.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Every person. It's so true. You can't like complain at
- 15:28Speaker 1: the grocery store line anymore. If you're a celebrity, like
- 15:31Speaker 1: you cannot do anything.
- 15:32Speaker 5: You've got to be very careful and mindful of your actions,
- 15:38Speaker 5: which actually kind of is a good thing.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Because you're sort of like, Keeps you on your toes.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Yes. I don't know. I'm leaving for Milan on Tuesday,
- 15:49Speaker 1: and the idea of me getting up and walking a
- 15:53Speaker 1: runway without the models, I don't know.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I would never do that. Yes.
- 15:59Speaker 1: But Tiffany is a huge star. She's a huge star,
- 16:04Speaker 1: but also— And she's also a comedian, and she's funny,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and people love her.
- 16:07Speaker 3: I mean, as a comedian, if I was in that
- 16:10Speaker 3: position— I would hope that I would go, no, Kathy,
- 16:14Speaker 3: stop it. I would hope that I would do that. Right.
- 16:17Speaker 3: But I can't 100% say that I wouldn't take that
- 16:21Speaker 3: fun moment. That moment.
- 16:24Speaker 1: To be like, this could be fun.
- 16:25Speaker 3: And, like, I'd probably overly do the modeling, like, do
- 16:28Speaker 3: the face. And I'd probably do it, like, very Zoolander.
- 16:31Speaker 3: And I would probably think it was great. And then
- 16:33Speaker 3: a couple hours later I would see all these TikToks about, like,
- 16:37Speaker 3: how could you do that? You're such an asshole, Heather MacDonald,
- 16:39Speaker 3: or you're the girl that just wants to be in
- 16:41Speaker 3: with the popular people and you're not from Beverly Hills,
- 16:44Speaker 3: you're from the Valley. And like, I could see that happening.
- 16:47Speaker 3: So I can totally see why in the moment, and
- 16:50Speaker 3: someone who's only attended one real fashion show in my
- 16:53Speaker 3: whole life, one or two, like one was the Where
- 16:58Speaker 3: Everyone Wears Red, that charity that everyone wears red. I
- 17:01Speaker 3: got to go to that one years ago in New York.
- 17:04Speaker 3: That's the only New York fashion show I've ever been to.
- 17:06Speaker 3: And one That was for Gucci on the, they shut
- 17:10Speaker 3: down Hollywood Boulevard like.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Two years ago. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:12Speaker 3: Those are the only two like real fashion. All the
- 17:14Speaker 3: rest of them were like National Charity League and, you know,
- 17:18Speaker 3: Valley Debs and like where we put on our own.
- 17:21Speaker 1: That Gucci show was a hot ticket.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that was really cool. But those are the only
- 17:24Speaker 3: ones I've been to that are like you put on
- 17:26Speaker 3: your own fashion show for, you know, your high school
- 17:29Speaker 3: or whatever.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Right. That's it.
- 17:31Speaker 3: So, you know, and I don't, obviously Tiffany was not
- 17:34Speaker 3: raised going to fashion shows. So I think that's what,
- 17:37Speaker 3: The conversation started. But it is interesting because wasn't there
- 17:40Speaker 3: something that I also saw in the news where Kathy
- 17:44Speaker 3: did somehow get on stage of another fashion show?
- 17:47Speaker 1: Mine.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Oh, that was yours?
- 17:50Speaker 1: Well, she was– Kathy, I swear.
- 17:54Speaker 4: I swear.
- 17:55Speaker 1: I love her so much that it's just hard to
- 17:57Speaker 1: be mad at her at anything. Right.
- 18:00Speaker 5: She had come, you know, I had like a small,
- 18:03Speaker 5: you know, I'm not the designer. I have, it's Sutton
- 18:06Speaker 5: Green Label. And so what we do, we were a
- 18:08Speaker 5: circular fashion company.
- 18:10Speaker 1: And so we take clothes that are going to go
- 18:14Speaker 1: into the landfills and we remanufacture them with my label. Oh, awesome.
- 18:18Speaker 1: And it's amazing.
- 18:20Speaker 5: And it helps the environment and helps everybody. And It's
- 18:23Speaker 5: been such a fun project of mine. So we did
- 18:27Speaker 5: a fashion show, and Kathy came backstage, and she went
- 18:32Speaker 5: kind of the wrong way and ended up walking out
- 18:38Speaker 5: right when the music started, when the show was starting,
- 18:41Speaker 5: finding her seat. And my sweet goddaughter, who's an amazing model, Wiz,
- 18:51Speaker 5: came coming out and she is like one of those
- 18:54Speaker 5: models that she's like six feet tall and she blasts
- 18:57Speaker 5: her and there's Kathy finding her seat and Wiz was
- 19:00Speaker 5: very gentle and graceful just kind of patted her on
- 19:02Speaker 5: the back you know find your seat lady yeah and
- 19:06Speaker 5: so you know Kathy didn't she did it.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Then and now here she is at it again I mean.
- 19:14Speaker 3: We're all nobody wants to see her leave the show
- 19:16Speaker 3: she is entertaining whether it's Not totally. I mean, come on,
- 19:20Speaker 3: the hunky dory. I don't believe that she had never
- 19:23Speaker 3: heard a hunky dory. But it did lighten up your moment.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Well, she was trying to lighten me up because I
- 19:29Speaker 1: was so upset. And she said something.
- 19:31Speaker 3: That was the ugly pants. What am I jealous of?
- 19:33Speaker 3: Your ugly pants. To Crystal, who's now your friend. Yeah, yeah.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Crystal called you jealous, and you said, of what?
- 19:39Speaker 6: Of what?
- 19:40Speaker 1: Your ugly leather pants. Seriously, I was like, of what?
- 19:42Speaker 1: But I will say this. I'm in good company.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:47Speaker 1: If Sudden Green Label is in the same company. of Mons,
- 19:51Speaker 1: then thank.
- 19:52Speaker 3: You, Kathy. Yeah, yeah.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but, yeah, the ugly leather pants, that was quite something.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Yeah, here's a photo of her before she did it.
- 20:02Speaker 1: She's so cute.
- 20:04Speaker 3: She's so cute.
- 20:05Speaker 1: One reward.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Endless choice. Skip the hassle, reward the easy way.
- 20:32Speaker 4: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 20:35Speaker 4: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 20:39Speaker 4: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 20:43Speaker 4: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Life is one long lesson of chaos. I'm heading to
- 20:49Speaker 1: the Emmys, and I have police complaints filed against me.
- 20:52Speaker 1: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 20:54Speaker 1: what would you do if it was given back?
- 20:57Speaker 4: Where did that need come from, where you thought that
- 21:00Speaker 4: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 21:02Speaker 3: He said, I have a work dad.
- 21:03Speaker 4: I need a home dad.
- 21:04Speaker 1: What happens next? When I came in, he started crying.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 21:11Speaker 4: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 21:14Speaker 4: happens next.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 21:18Speaker 1: every day was.
- 21:18Speaker 3: You're worth the work.
- 21:20Speaker 1: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 21:22Speaker 3: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 21:24Speaker 4: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 21:27Speaker 4: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 21:38Speaker 3: Okay, now have you heard about this Juicy Scoop?
- 21:40Speaker 1: No, but I love Dave Grohl so much. He is
- 21:43Speaker 1: an animal with those drums. And my secret dream is
- 21:46Speaker 1: to learn how to play the drums. And, you know,
- 21:49Speaker 1: my executive assistant, vice president, king of the household, Avi,
- 21:55Speaker 1: will not let me get a drum set. So I'm
- 21:57Speaker 1: obsessed with him, but I don't know this headline.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Well, this is pretty juicy. Okay. He's been married for
- 22:02Speaker 3: 23 years.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Okay.
- 22:04Speaker 3: And he just came out with this statement on his Instagram.
- 22:08Speaker 3: And the way he wrote it was very interesting. He wrote,
- 22:11Speaker 3: I have fathered a child outside of my marriage. I
- 22:15Speaker 3: plan on being a present father to this little baby
- 22:19Speaker 3: girl and working on my marriage and getting the trust
- 22:23Speaker 3: back from my wife and children. Be respectful of all
- 22:26Speaker 3: the children involved.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Well, I am not the woman that had the baby
- 22:30Speaker 1: as much.
- 22:31Speaker 3: As I would like to have been.
- 22:31Speaker 1: You can still love him.
- 22:32Speaker 3: You can still love him. I just found this. First
- 22:35Speaker 3: of all, he is so well-liked. He's so well-liked. And
- 22:40Speaker 3: part of what made him well-liked, I've got personal juicy scoop.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Okay, so what I.
- 22:46Speaker 1: I'm really like, this is like throwing me for a
- 22:48Speaker 1: loop here because. It's okay. He's one of my crushes. Listen.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I love him.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Listen, a lot of rock stars have. You know, babies
- 22:56Speaker 3: out of wedlock.
- 22:57Speaker 1: A lot of men have babies everywhere that we don't
- 22:59Speaker 1: know about.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Or they lie or they say, it's not mine. And
- 23:02Speaker 3: then the girl is forced to get a DNA test
- 23:04Speaker 3: and beg for child support. So I'm just saying he's
- 23:07Speaker 3: doing the right thing.
- 23:08Speaker 1: He's being the gentleman.
- 23:10Speaker 3: You know, I'm not going to, you know, dishonor this
- 23:13Speaker 3: child who's clearly mine. Now, we don't know how old
- 23:15Speaker 3: the child is. We don't know if it was being
- 23:18Speaker 3: hidden for a while and then it came to lawyers
- 23:20Speaker 3: and everything and they're like, you got to come forth
- 23:22Speaker 3: and maybe she knew. We don't know the back story
- 23:25Speaker 3: of them staying as a couple, her accepting that he's
- 23:28Speaker 3: had a child out of wedlock, whatever.
- 23:30Speaker 1: I mean, good thing there's water in here.
- 23:33Speaker 3: So everyone loves Dave Grohl as a person. He's funny
- 23:36Speaker 3: and a great musician and everything. So when I was
- 23:39Speaker 3: on Chelsea lately, we would have guest hosts. And I
- 23:45Speaker 3: wrote and produced and worked on that show as well
- 23:47Speaker 3: as appeared on it. So they were like, we love
- 23:50Speaker 3: Dave Grohl so much. We're going to give him the
- 23:52Speaker 3: whole week that Chelsea has off. So he did an
- 23:54Speaker 3: entire week of shows. And the staff just loved him. Now,
- 23:59Speaker 3: that week, I happened to be in New York because
- 24:01Speaker 3: I had my second book coming out. And I was like, oh,
- 24:04Speaker 3: I'm so bummed I'm missing this fun week with Dave Grohl. OK,
- 24:07Speaker 3: so here's... The scoop. So there was this one girl
- 24:10Speaker 3: that worked on the show, and she was very into music, very,
- 24:15Speaker 3: very educated about rock and roll music.
- 24:17Speaker 5: I'm sitting on the edge of my seat like we're
- 24:20Speaker 5: getting serious scoop.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Okay. And she was younger than– let me think. He's
- 24:25Speaker 3: about like 55, I think. And this girl at the–
- 24:27Speaker 3: so at the time he would have been like 45,
- 24:29Speaker 3: and this girl was like 30, 31. Okay. Maybe that.
- 24:38Speaker 3: And she was very like hip and very, very attractive.
- 24:42Speaker 3: And I'm not going to say what she does or anything,
- 24:44Speaker 3: but she's hopefully she's listening because I'm like, I need
- 24:47Speaker 3: to get some. And she was just so enthusiastic about
- 24:50Speaker 3: his music, knew everything. And afterwards she was going to
- 24:55Speaker 3: the studio and, and we were like, girl, like, what
- 25:01Speaker 3: is going on? Because he's presenting himself at the show
- 25:04Speaker 3: where I, I had these three kids and he talked
- 25:06Speaker 3: about his wife and people knew people in our circle,
- 25:11Speaker 3: like went to school with them. And I don't have
- 25:15Speaker 3: any facts that it was any, nothing more than him
- 25:18Speaker 3: inviting this young girl to see him play at the studio.
- 25:21Speaker 1: You're killing me right now.
- 25:22Speaker 3: But I remember just being like, I know everyone thinks
- 25:25Speaker 3: he's the exception to the rock star, but You think
- 25:31Speaker 3: it's this girl? No, no, I don't think it's this girl.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I know it's not this girl. But I'm saying— What
- 25:35Speaker 3: are you getting to the point? I'm getting at— I don't
- 25:38Speaker 3: think he was always this clean-cut guy, this exception to
- 25:41Speaker 3: the rule, in my opinion, that he was this rock-and-roll
- 25:45Speaker 3: daddy that everyone— you know, I still think he can be
- 25:48Speaker 3: nice to everybody in his life. I still think he
- 25:50Speaker 3: can tip well. I still think he can be a
- 25:52Speaker 3: responsible businessman who's nice to his landscaper. I'm not saying that.
- 25:56Speaker 3: But I'm saying there was this image that he was
- 25:58Speaker 3: kind of the exception to the rule that he was
- 26:00Speaker 3: this great dad.
- 26:01Speaker 1: That he still liked the groupies.
- 26:02Speaker 3: And I still, yeah, I think this isn't the first
- 26:05Speaker 3: time that he has fucked around.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Okay.
- 26:08Speaker 3: And even if this girl didn't fall for anything because
- 26:12Speaker 3: she knew he was married, I felt that it was unusual.
- 26:16Speaker 3: And I was like. We were like, he's trying to
- 26:21Speaker 3: fuck you. Like, what are you talking about? Why does
- 26:24Speaker 3: he need you to go? Why does he need your opinion?
- 26:27Speaker 3: I'm like, why does he need your opinion on his
- 26:29Speaker 3: latest song? You, this pretty 30 year old girl.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Because she was an expert.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Yes.
- 26:35Speaker 1: That's why, Heather. She was an expert at his music
- 26:39Speaker 1: and she knew better.
- 26:40Speaker 3: So I'm just saying when I heard it, I was
- 26:43Speaker 3: probably one of the less surprised people. Because I think
- 26:48Speaker 3: he's had one of those marriages where, again, he's the
- 26:50Speaker 3: good dad. He is into his wife. But maybe they
- 26:54Speaker 3: had an understanding.
- 26:56Speaker 1: But I want to know what the wife is thinking.
- 26:58Speaker 3: The wife is beautiful blonde and very private.
- 27:01Speaker 1: But what's she saying?
- 27:02Speaker 3: She's not saying anything because she's pretty private.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Is she angry?
- 27:05Speaker 3: We don't know. It's very rare that she would– she
- 27:08Speaker 3: was not– she wasn't the wife trying to launch a
- 27:10Speaker 3: jewelry line. She wasn't the wife trying to be on Housewives.
- 27:14Speaker 3: She was just like a pretty blonde wife that's been
- 27:17Speaker 3: around forever. I think it would be great. Come on, girl.
- 27:22Speaker 3: I think it would be great. You know, I always
- 27:25Speaker 3: say in these situations there are a lot of marriages,
- 27:28Speaker 3: both public and not, with public people and not, where
- 27:32Speaker 3: there is like a don't ask, don't tell situation.
- 27:34Speaker 6: Right.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Where you're like, I don't really care. Just don't get
- 27:37Speaker 3: anyone pregnant. Don't be caught. Don't bring them to the home.
- 27:41Speaker 3: And then something like this happens.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:43Speaker 3: And then as the wife, you're sometimes forced as like, well,
- 27:48Speaker 3: now I have to divorce you, fucker.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Right.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Like, now I don't want people to think that I'm this,
- 27:52Speaker 3: you know, pushover.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Headband wearing Hillary Clinton.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 27:58Speaker 1: She wore that headband. I'll never forget it.
- 28:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Right. And then people can interpret that any way they
- 28:05Speaker 3: want all these years later. They could have been like–
- 28:07Speaker 3: maybe she was like, of course I know he cheats.
- 28:10Speaker 1: I'm going to be president, bitch.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Just watch. Just watch me. We don't know what her
- 28:14Speaker 3: plan was. Just like there's women that are like, I
- 28:17Speaker 3: don't want to fuck him either. I'm thrilled he has
- 28:20Speaker 3: a girlfriend. Like we don't know whatever– but then when
- 28:23Speaker 3: it becomes public– Everyone thinks the normal relationship, which is
- 28:28Speaker 3: you must be totally devastated. Your husband cheated on you.
- 28:31Speaker 3: You poor girl that he lied to. We don't know.
- 28:35Speaker 3: We don't know if she was being lied to.
- 28:37Speaker 1: My jaw is– and let me tell you what. If
- 28:40Speaker 1: I'm Dave Grohl's wife, you're going to hear it from me. Oh,
- 28:44Speaker 1: of course.
- 28:45Speaker 3: I'd be out.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I'd be like out. I don't know if I'd be out.
- 28:47Speaker 1: I'd be like, sir. We're going to have some serious
- 28:51Speaker 1: talking to do and people are going to hear from me.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Because I'm mad at you because you're hot and you're mine.
- 28:59Speaker 3: And now you have this little girl. And I'm not babysitting. Right.
- 29:02Speaker 1: And now. I'm not changing any diapers. And the thing
- 29:07Speaker 1: about when a child. And that baby better be named
- 29:08Speaker 1: after me. Baby Sutton.
- 29:11Speaker 3: You know, it is crazy.
- 29:16Speaker 5: Because that girl is going to be saying my name
- 29:18Speaker 5: every day for the rest of her life.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Come on, baby Sutton.
- 29:22Speaker 3: That's amazing.
- 29:23Speaker 1: It's a good plan.
- 29:25Speaker 3: I can't remember who was. Oh, you know what? That's
- 29:27Speaker 3: a juicy story. Adam Levine. There was gossip about Adam
- 29:33Speaker 3: Levine a while ago. And this girl that came out
- 29:38Speaker 3: and said she had an affair with him. he said
- 29:41Speaker 3: oh my wife's pregnant and I like you know and
- 29:45Speaker 3: he was saying like he liked her name to name
- 29:47Speaker 3: the kid oh Oh, so then his wife would have
- 29:50Speaker 3: had a baby, but maybe possibly would have had the
- 29:52Speaker 3: name of this girl that his side.
- 29:54Speaker 1: Oh, come on. That's not nearly as much.
- 29:56Speaker 3: Yours is better.
- 29:57Speaker 1: Mine is way better.
- 29:58Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, I mean, it's it's happened before where
- 30:01Speaker 3: then the woman is like there's a there's also a
- 30:05Speaker 3: story that was a very juicy like crime that happened.
- 30:09Speaker 3: There was this woman.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I love this show. I am like getting you don't
- 30:13Speaker 1: read this stuff. So I'm like, what can you tell me?
- 30:15Speaker 3: This is a very juicy crime and people are going
- 30:17Speaker 3: to remember it. There was this woman and she was
- 30:20Speaker 3: like an executive whatever. And she moved– like had money
- 30:24Speaker 3: and sold her company and she was like mid-40s, no kids,
- 30:27Speaker 3: never been married. And she moved to like this quaint
- 30:30Speaker 3: like fisherman town on the East Coast. And she got
- 30:33Speaker 3: pregnant like at 45. And she had her two– she
- 30:36Speaker 3: had a baby. And when the baby was two, somebody
- 30:41Speaker 3: came in and killed her. And the baby lived. Turned
- 30:45Speaker 3: out nobody knew who the dad was, but it was
- 30:49Speaker 3: this local guy that was married and had five or
- 30:53Speaker 3: six kids. And at one time he was a suspect.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Turned out it was just like a random weirdo. It
- 30:59Speaker 3: was like a random weirdo that just like whatever. They
- 31:02Speaker 3: finally found someone through DNA. But it wasn't, you know,
- 31:05Speaker 3: it wasn't him. It wasn't his wife. It wasn't any
- 31:08Speaker 3: of his kids. But. They now raise the child, the
- 31:12Speaker 3: dad and his wife of six kids or five kids.
- 31:15Speaker 3: They raise this child of her, which is, you know, beautiful.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Wow.
- 31:19Speaker 3: This child deserves a family.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:22Speaker 3: Deserve to be with their dad.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Wow.
- 31:23Speaker 3: But it was an indiscretion, you know, or whatever. It
- 31:26Speaker 3: was an affair. And the mom and the wife was like,
- 31:29Speaker 3: she's a saint. So it's, you know, or like you
- 31:31Speaker 3: think about the Tristan Thompson and Chloe and it's just,
- 31:37Speaker 3: and even Wendy Williams. Wendy Williams knew that her husband
- 31:41Speaker 3: had girlfriends and a girlfriend on the side. But once
- 31:44Speaker 3: he got that girlfriend pregnant, that's when she was like,
- 31:46Speaker 3: all right, I'm out. Now I have to divorce you.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Now I have to. So I, it'll be interesting to
- 31:52Speaker 3: see what happens.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Unless you're Dave Grohl.
- 31:54Speaker 3: Well, we'll see. I predict, I predict that she will. Well, yes.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I think she's just like, you know what? This was
- 32:03Speaker 3: the sign I needed. This was the sign. She's probably like,
- 32:06Speaker 3: God showed me a sign. And I'm happy the baby's healthy.
- 32:10Speaker 3: I'm happy, you know, my daughters absolutely can like visit
- 32:13Speaker 3: her or whatever. But I think she'll, it won't happen
- 32:17Speaker 3: right away, but like in like a year. And then
- 32:21Speaker 3: maybe she will become more public. And then next thing
- 32:23Speaker 3: you know, she's on a girl's trip with you.
- 32:26Speaker 1: She should call me.
- 32:27Speaker 3: She should. She would be an amazing, also because we
- 32:31Speaker 3: don't really know her, but she, I don't have a
- 32:32Speaker 3: photo of her, but she's very attractive.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 32:35Speaker 3: And looks young. They've been married 23 years, but she
- 32:39Speaker 3: probably is maybe late 40s, early 50s max.
- 32:42Speaker 1: And she's going to have a lot of baby placenta
- 32:45Speaker 1: to eat. Make those shakes.
- 32:48Speaker 3: So anyway, there you go with the story.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Holy camoly.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 32:51Speaker 3: Pretty juicy there.
- 32:52Speaker 1: That threw me.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Now, Rachel Zoe. Did you hear about Rachel Zoe?
- 32:55Speaker 1: I did hear about this.
- 32:57Speaker 3: So Rachel Zoe and her husband, Roger, after 33 years
- 33:00Speaker 3: together and 26 years married, they have decided the mutual
- 33:03Speaker 3: decision to end. their marriage they have two boys and
- 33:08Speaker 3: when we would watch their they were old school bravo
- 33:10Speaker 3: did you used to watch their show on bravo um
- 33:13Speaker 3: where it was her show then she then with brad
- 33:17Speaker 3: gresky and then and it was so funny like i
- 33:21Speaker 3: remember we did a sketch at chelsea lately where i
- 33:22Speaker 3: was rachel zo and our client was chewy and we
- 33:26Speaker 3: like had two people one person be brad and the
- 33:29Speaker 3: other girl, Jen Kirkman was her other assistant that had
- 33:33Speaker 3: like hair in her face. And it was like, I die,
- 33:35Speaker 3: I die. And then she went on to do like
- 33:38Speaker 3: her own show kind of with him. And then of course,
- 33:41Speaker 3: she built her empire with him in fashion. And a
- 33:43Speaker 3: couple years ago, I interviewed her. I was on her
- 33:47Speaker 3: show because she and her husband were starting a podcast
- 33:49Speaker 3: about great marriages and partnerships. And I remember asking her, like,
- 33:58Speaker 3: she's like, no, like, They met in college. And it
- 34:02Speaker 3: was just kind of interesting because when we saw her
- 34:05Speaker 3: on the show, like, she was just this fashionista girl.
- 34:09Speaker 3: And she was, you know, really thin and chic and
- 34:13Speaker 3: had this husband and had this fabulous life. And then
- 34:15Speaker 3: after that, she gave birth to two boys. And I
- 34:18Speaker 3: was like, oh, okay, I guess what we thought, really,
- 34:20Speaker 3: they're just really this, like, couple.
- 34:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:23Speaker 3: You never know. Whatever marriage is different.
- 34:25Speaker 5: I've known them for years. a while now, like before
- 34:30Speaker 5: I moved to LA even. And Rachel's just so lovely
- 34:37Speaker 5: and sweet.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I like talking to her. Yeah.
- 34:39Speaker 1: And I went one time, years ago, I went to
- 34:44Speaker 1: their offices and I talked to Roger about my business
- 34:47Speaker 1: and what I had all kinds of ideas that I
- 34:50Speaker 1: was trying to put together before I finally did what
- 34:52Speaker 1: I did. And Roger was great with me. And, you know,
- 34:56Speaker 1: he's a businessman.
- 34:58Speaker 5: And so this is really kind of sad news, I think.
- 35:02Speaker 5: And they were such.
- 35:06Speaker 1: A family unit. But here's the thing, you know, so
- 35:10Speaker 1: was I. And I was, you know, I'd known my
- 35:14Speaker 1: husband since I was 13. And they had that kind
- 35:17Speaker 1: of we've known each other, we've grown up together kind
- 35:20Speaker 1: of thing. And I can't really talk about it because
- 35:24Speaker 1: I don't know much, but I'm sure that there's a
- 35:28Speaker 1: lot of sadness going on with this one.
- 35:30Speaker 3: I think where it's really shocking is like younger people.
- 35:34Speaker 3: It like throws younger people off because they're like, what?
- 35:38Speaker 3: like I thought once you made it past this year,
- 35:41Speaker 3: like Leah Remini and her husband just announced after 27 years,
- 35:44Speaker 3: they're getting divorced. Did you see that? And so I
- 35:47Speaker 3: think when people feel like you get past 20 years
- 35:50Speaker 3: or something and they're only like 30 and they're on
- 35:53Speaker 3: their 30 year marriage, it's sort of like, yeah, wait, what?
- 35:57Speaker 3: You know, like I don't get that. And, you know, we,
- 36:01Speaker 3: you know, it just, there is like a big movement.
- 36:04Speaker 3: They call it silver divorce where it's like people in
- 36:06Speaker 3: their mid to late 50s.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I am learning all kinds of things today. Getting divorced.
- 36:12Speaker 3: And it's because we, I think, you know, we live
- 36:16Speaker 3: longer and your kids are gone or were there growing
- 36:22Speaker 3: up and you're like, you never know. I mean, sometimes
- 36:25Speaker 3: it is very mutual. Sometimes it's not, you know, you
- 36:28Speaker 3: will never really know because that's why I think it
- 36:30Speaker 3: must be so hard to be a marriage counselor because there's,
- 36:32Speaker 3: it's not like they're a doctor that they're like, well,
- 36:35Speaker 3: this is how I treat, you know, breast cancer. It's
- 36:37Speaker 3: like they don't know. Every situation is totally different. You're
- 36:41Speaker 3: always dealing with different people and different dynamics and you
- 36:44Speaker 3: just don't know.
- 36:45Speaker 1: And I think also women have changed a lot. And,
- 36:49Speaker 1: you know, my mother.
- 36:50Speaker 5: Was a pioneer of the women's movement and working women.
- 36:56Speaker 5: And even since she did that, I think in the past,
- 36:59Speaker 5: I would say even 15 years, we've seen women really
- 37:03Speaker 5: get strong And so I think relationships have taken a
- 37:08Speaker 5: toll because of that.
- 37:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 37:10Speaker 5: You know, when you– and Rachel and Roger really built
- 37:15Speaker 5: that together.
- 37:16Speaker 3: I know. I think that's what makes it really sad
- 37:18Speaker 3: is because she– even though she was the face of it,
- 37:21Speaker 3: it was a lot– given a lot of credit to him.
- 37:25Speaker 3: And again, like I said, when I interviewed her maybe two,
- 37:27Speaker 3: three years ago, it was like, oh, my God, you've
- 37:29Speaker 3: been together so long. Like, this will never not work.
- 37:33Speaker 3: And– The thing is that people are always changing and evolving.
- 37:37Speaker 3: And sometimes you just really are not changing together.
- 37:40Speaker 5: That's what happened in my marriage. We just we didn't
- 37:45Speaker 5: change together. And it happens a lot. And, you know,
- 37:49Speaker 5: I think people are always looking for the salaciousness or
- 37:51Speaker 5: something that, you know, bad that happened. Sometimes it's just
- 37:56Speaker 5: this natural cause of development that it just didn't.
- 38:01Speaker 1: You just do that.
- 38:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:03Speaker 1: You grow in separate ways and it's okay.
- 38:08Speaker 5: Some people stay together even though they have separated in
- 38:12Speaker 5: their hearts and minds.
- 38:14Speaker 1: They stay together.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Because it is just easier sometimes with homes and financial stuff.
- 38:21Speaker 3: I think they do that until one falls in love
- 38:25Speaker 3: with someone who's like, I'm not okay with this. You
- 38:29Speaker 3: know what I mean? Like, I think there's a lot
- 38:30Speaker 3: of people that do kind of have that separate lives. Like,
- 38:32Speaker 3: I'll be at the lake house, whatever. We're cool. I
- 38:34Speaker 3: don't care. You bug the shit out of me and whatever.
- 38:37Speaker 5: Or sometimes you just have to be honest with yourself
- 38:40Speaker 5: and say, you know what?
- 38:41Speaker 3: We've had a good run. Yeah.
- 38:44Speaker 1: But I don't want to do this.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Anymore.
- 38:47Speaker 1: I want to.
- 38:48Speaker 5: Because even if you can do the lake house and
- 38:51Speaker 5: you're here, maybe you want to live a different.
- 38:55Speaker 1: Life that brings you joy. and happiness a second round. Yeah.
- 39:02Speaker 1: You know? Yeah. That's okay.
- 39:04Speaker 4: Right.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Well, because I'm saying, like, you live so long that,
- 39:06Speaker 3: I mean, you could have a whole nother second marriage that's,
- 39:10Speaker 3: you know, longer than your first.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Right.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Like, who's just, why shouldn't you? And so, yeah, I
- 39:16Speaker 3: think it's really interesting. I think that's the reason why
- 39:19Speaker 3: we are so fascinated by Real Housewives because we get to,
- 39:23Speaker 3: we really relate, especially like my, you know, being a
- 39:27Speaker 3: woman demographic, we relate so much. I think to other demographics,
- 39:31Speaker 3: it's just pure entertainment. And then to people like me,
- 39:36Speaker 3: it's like, oh my God, I know what this friendship's about.
- 39:40Speaker 3: I know what this deception's about. I've lived it myself
- 39:43Speaker 3: or with a friend. And that's why we get so
- 39:46Speaker 3: involved when you guys share, you know, these big things
- 39:50Speaker 3: about your life. And then to other people, it's like, oh,
- 39:52Speaker 3: my God, I like the outfits, you know, and I
- 39:55Speaker 3: throw the drink.
- 39:56Speaker 1: There has to be a mix, I think, of both
- 39:59Speaker 1: of those things because if all we did was, you know,
- 40:03Speaker 1: the really vapid clothes and drinks and that– That would
- 40:09Speaker 1: only last so long.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 40:11Speaker 5: We can only watch that for so long. There has
- 40:13Speaker 5: to be some depth to it.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 40:14Speaker 5: We have to give something of ourselves in order to
- 40:19Speaker 5: balance that. I think that's how the show works.
- 40:21Speaker 3: Now, after five years, what has been, like, you know,
- 40:26Speaker 3: when you decided to do this and now five years later,
- 40:30Speaker 3: what has been, like, the greatest surprise about it that you, like,
- 40:35Speaker 3: a positive surprise that you wouldn't have expected?
- 40:38Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, I think every season is different. And
- 40:45Speaker 5: I learn something different about myself every season. And I
- 40:50Speaker 5: keep growing because I'm on this show.
- 40:52Speaker 3: That's really cool. It seems like we focus more on
- 40:56Speaker 3: the people whose lives just seem to crumble and don't thrive.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Well, you know, my life isn't perfect.
- 41:03Speaker 5: And there's a lot of struggles that I'm always.
- 41:08Speaker 1: um, working on. Um, but I like to learn and, um,
- 41:14Speaker 1: and I, and I like the sort of the, the,
- 41:18Speaker 1: the unexpected, um, Kyle and I, I did a live yesterday.
- 41:22Speaker 1: I'm an ambassador for NAMI, which is a mental health organization.
- 41:26Speaker 3: I saw that, um, post of yours and, you know,
- 41:29Speaker 3: I said suicide prevention yesterday was, um.
- 41:32Speaker 5: World suicide prevention day. And, um, And I asked Kyle
- 41:35Speaker 5: if she would join in on my life.
- 41:37Speaker 1: And she did because her very best friend committed suicide
- 41:41Speaker 1: and my father committed suicide.
- 41:42Speaker 5: And, you know, I said to Kyle, one of the greatest,
- 41:46Speaker 5: coolest things about being on this show is that I
- 41:50Speaker 5: get to talk about this. And it's something that I
- 41:53Speaker 5: never talked about before. Not with my family, rarely with
- 41:57Speaker 5: my friends, really rarely with myself. And all of a sudden,
- 42:01Speaker 5: I'm talking about suicide and strange position to be in.
- 42:04Speaker 5: And I'm an ambassador for NAMI. So that part is,
- 42:08Speaker 5: to me, very rewarding. And as many trials and tribulations
- 42:13Speaker 5: as I have been through doing this.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Show, that's so rewarding. So I love that.
- 42:18Speaker 5: And, you know, talking about marriage, you know, when I
- 42:20Speaker 5: started the show, I was like, I will never get
- 42:22Speaker 5: married again.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Absolutely not. And now I'm like, maybe. I've softened. About men,
- 42:31Speaker 1: I'm not as scared of men.
- 42:32Speaker 5: And I think like I'm open to love, which when
- 42:37Speaker 5: I started, I think I was really maybe a little
- 42:39Speaker 5: bit bitter and scared and not willing to listen to men.
- 42:47Speaker 1: And now I am. So all of these things have
- 42:51Speaker 1: come up. And that's why I love doing it.
- 42:54Speaker 3: What is one of the negatives that you didn't expect?
- 42:58Speaker 3: and when you said yes to being on the show?
- 43:00Speaker 1: I think the negatives have been I didn't know that,
- 43:06Speaker 1: and I can include myself in this, that women can
- 43:12Speaker 1: be so cruel to women.
- 43:14Speaker 5: And I include myself in that. I didn't know that
- 43:18Speaker 5: I had that capacity. I didn't know that I was
- 43:22Speaker 5: able to throw.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Cruelty As quickly as I have done.
- 43:32Speaker 3: I have surprised. That's very big of you to say that.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Well, you know.
- 43:39Speaker 3: I don't know that I've ever heard a housewife admit
- 43:43Speaker 3: that they've been on the other side and not just
- 43:46Speaker 3: the receiving side. It seems like a lot of women
- 43:49Speaker 3: are like, I was bullied and da, da, da, da, da, da, da.
- 43:51Speaker 3: And it's kind of weird to see like women in
- 43:53Speaker 3: their 50s talking about being bullied. But we do see it.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever bullied, but I have, you know.
- 44:00Speaker 3: But, no, I like that you say, you know, I've
- 44:02Speaker 3: said things that, you know, were cruel.
- 44:03Speaker 5: I've said things I've regretted. And they've come out of
- 44:06Speaker 5: my mouth. And I've gone home thinking, who are you?
- 44:12Speaker 5: I don't say it.
- 44:15Speaker 1: You know, I don't do that.
- 44:16Speaker 3: That's not me.
- 44:17Speaker 1: But it makes you. look at that.
- 44:22Speaker 5: Part of yourself that has been living in there somewhere.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Yeah. That emerged.
- 44:29Speaker 5: And, you know, so that part isn't fun. And it's
- 44:33Speaker 5: not fun to receive so much. I went through a
- 44:37Speaker 5: couple of seasons where it was really difficult to show up.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Yeah. I feel like there was a time where it
- 44:44Speaker 3: did feel a little like what was the whole Fox
- 44:47Speaker 3: Force Five?
- 44:48Speaker 1: I don't know. I always get the name wrong. I
- 44:51Speaker 1: don't know why.
- 44:52Speaker 3: I think I'm saying it wrong.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Where did that come from? Why is it a fox?
- 44:55Speaker 1: I know.
- 44:56Speaker 3: And the Fox Force Five was Dorit, Kyle, Erica.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Lisa and Teddy.
- 45:03Speaker 3: Lisa and Teddy. Yeah.
- 45:04Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 45:05Speaker 1: All right.
- 45:06Speaker 3: And Lisa and Teddy are.
- 45:07Speaker 1: No longer on.
- 45:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 45:08Speaker 1: It wasn't the nicest.
- 45:09Speaker 3: And I think when you know that there's a Fox
- 45:11Speaker 3: Force Five, I would assume that the producers got wind
- 45:14Speaker 3: of that and didn't like it. You know, how are
- 45:16Speaker 3: you supposed to actually like be part, it almost felt
- 45:20Speaker 3: like We're the cheerleaders that went from, you know, we're
- 45:25Speaker 3: the senior cheerleaders and you guys are just joining the
- 45:27Speaker 3: teams as junior. And we're going to summer camp. Yeah. And,
- 45:32Speaker 3: you know, you're not going to be able to come
- 45:34Speaker 3: into our dorm room after practice. Like, it felt a
- 45:36Speaker 3: little like I remember being like, what is that? Because
- 45:39Speaker 3: I feel like that's why you and Garcelle were like,
- 45:41Speaker 3: what the fuck is like? What?
- 45:43Speaker 5: I think that, you know, Garcelle and I didn't really
- 45:46Speaker 5: bond until the end of. our first season together. And
- 45:51Speaker 5: it was actually, like, in Rome, we had a dinner
- 45:54Speaker 5: right before we went to Rome. And we just started laughing.
- 45:57Speaker 5: We just realized that we were funny.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Like, we thought we were funny.
- 46:02Speaker 1: And so then in Rome, we really, like, just were
- 46:07Speaker 1: hanging out together. I think it was hard for us
- 46:11Speaker 1: to kind of infiltrate because those women had known each
- 46:15Speaker 1: other for so long, which I understood. But then it
- 46:19Speaker 1: was really after that that it started to get a
- 46:21Speaker 1: little bit more mean and then it got a lot
- 46:23Speaker 1: more mean and a lot more meaner towards me. And
- 46:27Speaker 1: I didn't quite know how to defend myself. I was
- 46:31Speaker 1: bad at it and it was very hurtful to me
- 46:36Speaker 1: a few times. I didn't quite know. I just was
- 46:43Speaker 1: so meek.
- 46:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 46:46Speaker 1: I was.
- 46:46Speaker 5: And You know, I had been through a really painful
- 46:50Speaker 5: divorce and, you know, I'd sold my house.
- 46:54Speaker 1: You know, I just felt real broken.
- 46:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:56Speaker 1: And so I was not good at sticking up for myself.
- 47:03Speaker 3: And then would you regret those moments that then were,
- 47:05Speaker 3: you know, sketched in time? And let me tell you,
- 47:08Speaker 3: if there was a camera following me every time, I
- 47:10Speaker 3: might have pull to Sutton too, where when I heard
- 47:13Speaker 3: about Dorit, if I was going through something crazy too,
- 47:16Speaker 3: I might've inadvertently, you know, I think the biggest thing
- 47:20Speaker 3: that they do about these shows, they always get you,
- 47:22Speaker 3: stop making it about yourself. And it's like, well, sometimes
- 47:25Speaker 3: it just happens that you just say something or you say,
- 47:29Speaker 3: I lost a pet too. Why are you making it
- 47:30Speaker 3: about yourself? Well, shit. Like, I don't know. Isn't that
- 47:33Speaker 3: being like, I'm trying to relate.
- 47:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:36Speaker 3: So you were, so you, that was a moment when
- 47:38Speaker 3: it's isolated, doesn't look great. Dorit, you know, was robbed
- 47:42Speaker 3: at gunpoint.
- 47:43Speaker 1: That was a bad, bad moment for me.
- 47:44Speaker 3: And Kyle came over and you were like, yeah, I'm like,
- 47:47Speaker 3: my Paris designer is like stuck in customs or whatever.
- 47:49Speaker 3: So awful.
- 47:50Speaker 2: And.
- 47:51Speaker 1: It was really, that was not good.
- 47:52Speaker 3: But what do you, I mean, but when it's caught
- 47:54Speaker 3: on tape and there forever, how do you just. Yeah. Go, yeah.
- 47:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:59Speaker 3: Like, I guess that's what you have to do. Yeah,
- 48:00Speaker 3: I said it. Like, I said it. I regret it.
- 48:02Speaker 3: And like, whatever. I'm sorry.
- 48:04Speaker 1: That was probably the lowest moment of my life. What
- 48:11Speaker 1: I said, you know.
- 48:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Especially because my father actually did take a gun and
- 48:16Speaker 1: put it in his mouth and blew his brains out. So,
- 48:23Speaker 1: you know, for me to say that.
- 48:25Speaker 3: Right.
- 48:25Speaker 1: Flippantly. What was I thinking?
- 48:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:30Speaker 1: It was terrible.
- 48:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Terrible moment for me.
- 48:33Speaker 3: So that's, I mean, you know, big of you to, again,
- 48:36Speaker 3: to like admit that. And then when we had the
- 48:41Speaker 3: moment that did turn very comedic, which was the name-em.
- 48:45Speaker 3: I don't even remember what she, so Kyle came over
- 48:48Speaker 3: and she was like, you're acting, you've acted strangely.
- 48:52Speaker 1: It was after.
- 48:53Speaker 3: What was she asking you?
- 48:54Speaker 1: It was after Las Vegas.
- 48:56Speaker 3: Oh, Las Vegas with the magic mic.
- 48:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:59Speaker 3: Yeah. Yes.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Again, see, when I'm going through something, I am not focused.
- 49:06Speaker 3: And you were going through the fact that your husband
- 49:09Speaker 3: was saying that he wanted the youngest to come live
- 49:10Speaker 3: with him in London?
- 49:12Speaker 1: And me. And me.
- 49:14Speaker 5: And I was like– and I had just learned it before,
- 49:19Speaker 5: like right before getting on the plane to go to
- 49:21Speaker 5: Vegas and you know he's a very formidable ex and
- 49:29Speaker 5: I just thought this this really could happen to me And.
- 49:34Speaker 3: You might have to leave the show and leave your life.
- 49:36Speaker 5: Leave the show, leave my business, leave my house, you know,
- 49:39Speaker 5: leave my horse, leave my dogs.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Leave my cats and, you know, leave my life.
- 49:44Speaker 3: Right.
- 49:44Speaker 1: And I just and I lost it.
- 49:48Speaker 3: Right.
- 49:48Speaker 1: I lost it.
- 49:50Speaker 3: Do you have any desire to go back?
- 49:52Speaker 1: To see Magic Mike?
- 49:53Speaker 3: And yeah, and split and spread your legs and have them.
- 49:57Speaker 1: I didn't like the spreading of the legs. I just didn't.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I just, I'm sorry. I know. The show is actually
- 50:07Speaker 1: really good. Yeah. It's just that moment. I was like,
- 50:10Speaker 1: I'm out.
- 50:11Speaker 3: Right. And I also think when you are going through something,
- 50:15Speaker 3: now emphasize it by you're at a girls weekend. And
- 50:19Speaker 3: I think we've, like what I loved about that Vegas weekend. Oh, God. Is,
- 50:23Speaker 3: I just want to say.
- 50:24Speaker 4: Oh.
- 50:24Speaker 3: I thought it was so relatable where you're on a
- 50:27Speaker 3: girls' weekend, whether it's a birthday or a bachelorette or something,
- 50:30Speaker 3: and someone is kind of– Did.
- 50:32Speaker 1: I say I liked this show because I'm really starting
- 50:35Speaker 1: to– I'm just kidding. No, no, no.
- 50:37Speaker 3: But I'm saying– well, I'm going to give you a
- 50:39Speaker 3: compliment or make it relatable. I think people have been there. Yeah.
- 50:43Speaker 3: They've been on that girls' trip where one person– is
- 50:46Speaker 3: just a little off and then have, you know, a
- 50:49Speaker 3: couple of drinks and a little bit emotional. And it's like,
- 50:51Speaker 3: I just, I just want to leave. And it can
- 50:52Speaker 3: happen a lot in Vegas. It's those Vegas weekends can
- 50:56Speaker 3: be really great or, you know, or they can go sideways.
- 50:59Speaker 3: And there's this stress to have fun. You gotta have fun.
- 51:03Speaker 1: I was like, I don't feel like having fun.
- 51:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:05Speaker 3: You weren't feeling like having fun.
- 51:06Speaker 1: And then you were just like, you know what?
- 51:08Speaker 3: I mean, I have had those moments, too, where I'm like,
- 51:11Speaker 3: someone says something wrong, and I'm like, you know what?
- 51:12Speaker 1: I'm out.
- 51:13Speaker 3: Like, I'm out.
- 51:14Speaker 6: But there's one funny thing that, you know, I was
- 51:17Speaker 6: so— I was not in the right state of mind, and
- 51:22Speaker 6: now I look back and it's so funny when I said.
- 51:24Speaker 3: It is not about the pants.
- 51:26Speaker 1: It's just so funny.
- 51:29Speaker 3: Because you did wear the pants and you're supposed to
- 51:31Speaker 3: wear the pants if you want to be brought up
- 51:33Speaker 3: on stage.
- 51:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 51:34Speaker 3: And so they were like, you're sad that you were
- 51:36Speaker 3: brought up on stage. I was not sad.
- 51:37Speaker 1: I was just like, I'm not going up on the
- 51:40Speaker 1: stage next. That's not happening.
- 51:44Speaker 3: Oh, okay. So after you saw what's happening, you were like,
- 51:47Speaker 3: I definitely want out. Got it. I'm not doing that.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Okay. I don't want anything to do with this.
- 51:52Speaker 3: Got it. Yes. It was not about the pants. Let's
- 51:55Speaker 3: talk a little bit about The Golden Bachelorette.
- 51:58Speaker 4: Okay.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Are you familiar? It's coming out soon. This is Joan. She's,
- 52:04Speaker 3: I think, about 60.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Okay.
- 52:06Speaker 3: Fit, pretty blonde, and she is the first golden bachelorette.
- 52:09Speaker 1: Okay.
- 52:10Speaker 3: Did you ever watch any of the golden bachelors? I didn't.
- 52:13Speaker 1: I didn't. It's the worst.
- 52:15Speaker 3: No, no, it's fine. But, you know, the bachelorette as
- 52:19Speaker 3: a franchise, according to this LA Times article, which I
- 52:22Speaker 3: know that you like to read entire articles.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Well, yes, maybe not on the.
- 52:27Speaker 3: Golden bachelorette, but yes. But you have a, you know,
- 52:29Speaker 3: you get the LA Times.
- 52:30Speaker 2: I do.
- 52:31Speaker 3: So this, I have not read this whole article, but
- 52:33Speaker 3: it's basically, it says, can the... Golden Bachelorette, Joan Vasos,
- 52:38Speaker 3: help restore the luster of Bachelor Nation. So they just
- 52:41Speaker 3: recently they just had a, you know, a young Bachelorette
- 52:44Speaker 3: go through. And I I used to cover The Bachelor,
- 52:48Speaker 3: The Bachelorette and stuff. And I feel like as a franchise,
- 52:52Speaker 3: it's it's, you know, loss is momentum. It's been around forever,
- 52:55Speaker 3: you know.
- 52:55Speaker 1: And I have to admit something else. I've never watched
- 52:58Speaker 1: The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.
- 53:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 53:01Speaker 3: That's fine.
- 53:02Speaker 1: No, I feel like I've been missing out on life.
- 53:04Speaker 3: So now there's the golden, and I think it's brilliant
- 53:06Speaker 3: because it's a TV show, it's once a week, and
- 53:10Speaker 3: a lot of young kids don't watch traditional TV anyway.
- 53:13Speaker 3: So they should be catering to an audience that still
- 53:17Speaker 3: enjoys watching regular TV on a weekly basis, not in
- 53:21Speaker 3: a binge. And so she's going to go meet, and
- 53:26Speaker 3: I saw some of the guys, they all, like, Are
- 53:29Speaker 3: they handsome? Yeah, they're like handsome and put together.
- 53:31Speaker 1: I mean, where do the remnants go?
- 53:34Speaker 3: Where do the what?
- 53:35Speaker 1: Her remnants go.
- 53:36Speaker 3: Her remnants?
- 53:37Speaker 1: Her remnants, the things that get tossed.
- 53:39Speaker 3: Oh.
- 53:40Speaker 1: I don't know what you're talking about. Heather, keep up.
- 53:42Speaker 3: The ones, I don't know. So then maybe they'll, one
- 53:45Speaker 3: of them will probably be chosen to be, if they're
- 53:47Speaker 3: very popular, will probably be chosen to be the golden bachelor.
- 53:49Speaker 1: I am asking for myself.
- 53:50Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. So then you could, that's what
- 53:53Speaker 3: could be exciting is that you'll have access to these people.
- 53:56Speaker 3: I'm sure they'll all have Instagram. Okay. And you can
- 53:59Speaker 3: find them. She was one of the bachelor, she was
- 54:03Speaker 3: one of the girls that the that the golden bachelor
- 54:06Speaker 3: male didn't choose. And I had, I had predicted her
- 54:09Speaker 3: way on that she would get it. Really? Yes. Because
- 54:13Speaker 3: I thought she was, you know, pretty enough and hip enough, but, um,
- 54:19Speaker 3: that they could do a variety of guys, a few younger,
- 54:22Speaker 3: a few older. And also she, but she didn't last
- 54:25Speaker 3: long because she had to like leave her daughter needed
- 54:28Speaker 3: her or something. So she didn't stay like till the
- 54:30Speaker 3: end because normally they pick one that's like the reject,
- 54:33Speaker 3: like the final two usually gets the reach, like the
- 54:36Speaker 3: runner up. And so the guys look attractive and like
- 54:42Speaker 3: put together and hip and kind of a variety of men.
- 54:46Speaker 3: And so I'm wondering, we got to see you go
- 54:49Speaker 3: on some dates on the show.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:54Speaker 3: Where are you in your dating life? And would you
- 54:56Speaker 3: ever go on like, you know, what they're doing with Luann?
- 55:02Speaker 1: I'm on Juicy Scoop is where I am with my
- 55:05Speaker 1: dating life.
- 55:05Speaker 3: That's all you need. That's about it. That's all you need. Yeah, because,
- 55:10Speaker 3: you know, there's always a situation like this, which I
- 55:14Speaker 3: feel like they're kind of doing a version of this.
- 55:17Speaker 3: It sounds like they're doing the Golden Bachelorette meets, you know,
- 55:20Speaker 3: Love Island right now on Peacock. And they just arrived
- 55:23Speaker 3: in Cabo with, Shannon Bedore and Luann.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 55:28Speaker 3: And Giselle and Ashley from Real Housewives of Potomac. Oh, God.
- 55:32Speaker 3: And they're going to all date.
- 55:35Speaker 1: Oh, God.
- 55:36Speaker 3: Now, you wouldn't want to do that.
- 55:38Speaker 1: You know, I would think about it. Okay. May I
- 55:44Speaker 1: choose the cast?
- 55:46Speaker 3: Oh, that you'd be with?
- 55:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 55:48Speaker 3: Who would you want to be? Let's just say, who
- 55:49Speaker 3: would you want to be with?
- 55:50Speaker 1: I'd want to go with Garcelle.
- 55:51Speaker 3: Okay. Garcelle. You, Garcelle.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Me, Garcelle. You get two more. I get two more.
- 55:57Speaker 3: And then you have to be single.
- 55:59Speaker 1: Well, like, I'm like me, Garcelle, Erica.
- 56:02Speaker 3: Okay.
- 56:03Speaker 1: Because, actually, I like hanging out with Erica. I love that.
- 56:06Speaker 3: I mean, here's the thing.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I like Erica, too. I've got me, Garcelle, Erica. I mean,
- 56:13Speaker 1: how bad can I set myself up for failure? It's like.
- 56:19Speaker 1: This is the worst idea I've ever had. Just pick
- 56:22Speaker 1: one more.
- 56:23Speaker 3: Pick one from a different city. From a different city,
- 56:25Speaker 3: not from Beverly Hills.
- 56:26Speaker 1: Okay. Who else is out there in the world? Who
- 56:30Speaker 1: else is single that's a housewife? Give me one. Okay.
- 56:35Speaker 3: Well– But they're all– see, they're– Well, we have from OC.
- 56:39Speaker 3: All these girls are taken right.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Now on OC. But they all look like that. And
- 56:43Speaker 1: so everybody's going to.
- 56:44Speaker 3: You look beautiful, though. You're a hot piece of ass.
- 56:47Speaker 1: Well, but see, here's the thing. I am not well endowed,
- 56:51Speaker 1: and I think men can be very shallow.
- 56:53Speaker 3: How about your boobies?
- 56:55Speaker 1: Well, they like boobies, I think.
- 56:57Speaker 3: You don't want to get a boob job? You never
- 56:59Speaker 3: want to get a boob job?
- 57:00Speaker 1: I don't want to get, you know, a tetanus shot.
- 57:03Speaker 3: Oh, you don't want to get— oh, okay. No, I'm not
- 57:06Speaker 3: encouraging it. I'm just saying in Beverly Hills, maybe you're
- 57:10Speaker 3: one of the few housewives that don't have— A.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Facelift and boob jobs and all kinds of stuff like that.
- 57:16Speaker 1: I like, you know— You know, like, I'm an intellectual.
- 57:20Speaker 1: I like to talk about smart stuff and art.
- 57:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:24Speaker 1: Yeah. So we'd have to go somewhere.
- 57:25Speaker 3: I think you'd be funny. If they do another version,
- 57:28Speaker 3: they'll cast it for you.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Funny?
- 57:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you're funny.
- 57:32Speaker 1: I would be seriously looking for a man. This is not.
- 57:35Speaker 3: I know, but I'm like, you're funny to watch. So
- 57:38Speaker 3: let's talk about Real Housewives of OC. You are watching it,
- 57:41Speaker 3: you said.
- 57:41Speaker 1: I am watching it, yeah.
- 57:43Speaker 3: And what are your initial thoughts of what is happening
- 57:46Speaker 3: this season with Shannon and Alexis and Tamara.
- 57:50Speaker 5: Well, my favorite part so far has been my dog
- 57:53Speaker 5: that got out of, she, my dog, I was on
- 57:56Speaker 5: one scene.
- 57:57Speaker 3: Oh, that's right.
- 57:58Speaker 1: And my dog was on, was, made her debut and
- 58:01Speaker 1: she's just hilarious.
- 58:03Speaker 3: Oh, because you know, Katie.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I have met Katie.
- 58:08Speaker 3: Oh, that's right. Katie, the new girl you knew prior.
- 58:11Speaker 3: How did you guys know each other?
- 58:13Speaker 1: So, the golf world.
- 58:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:17Speaker 5: And Katie had reached out to me and asked me
- 58:22Speaker 5: to be in a celebrity golf tournament, which if you
- 58:28Speaker 5: want to see something comical, that's really what you should watch,
- 58:30Speaker 5: me playing golf. And so I did that and I
- 58:33Speaker 5: got to know her and her husband sort of in
- 58:35Speaker 5: the golf world. And she was living in San Diego
- 58:39Speaker 5: and she's from Georgia. So I got to know her
- 58:42Speaker 5: that weekend. We went to dinners and stuff like that.
- 58:45Speaker 1: So she, you know.
- 58:46Speaker 3: And was she interested in being on Housewives back then?
- 58:49Speaker 5: She mentioned something, you know, like, I've always thought about it.
- 58:54Speaker 5: And I said, well, I hope you've got a second
- 58:59Speaker 5: set of skin because you're going to have to go
- 59:00Speaker 5: put it on because it's tough work. And so I
- 59:06Speaker 5: went and I filmed with her.
- 59:07Speaker 3: So then she went forward with it. Got it.
- 59:10Speaker 1: And then she asked when she was going through the
- 59:12Speaker 1: interview process. I don't know if I was like I
- 59:15Speaker 1: wrote about her or something. I helped. Like, yes, I
- 59:18Speaker 1: know her. Right. You know, they're good people.
- 59:22Speaker 3: It's like a sorority recommendation.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess so.
- 59:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:27Speaker 1: And but now. Watching this season, I find it very
- 59:35Speaker 1: difficult to watch and what they're doing to Shannon Bedore.
- 59:41Speaker 5: I found it, to be quite honest, disgusting and overboard,
- 59:50Speaker 5: not necessary, not fun to watch. I'm unclear why they
- 59:58Speaker 5: fund it. why these women want to do that to her.
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: I just, I think it's a button beyond.
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: I really think it was just a complete misestimation on
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: Tamara and Alexis' part of what this would result in
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: with the fans. I think they thought, you know, the
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: fans will never forgive Shannon for her DUI and therefore let's,
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: you know, let's get you on the show. Let's, you know,
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: make everyone love Johnny J. And the thing is.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: It's just hard to watch. Right.
- 1:00:39Speaker 3: And the thing is, is that it was like, in
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: Shannon's defense, she did not talk shit about her boyfriend,
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: John Jansen, ever on the show with cameras. She did not. She,
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: off camera... would share and vent to who she thought
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: were her girlfriends. Emily, Heather Dubrow, Tamara, whatever. And at
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: one time we were close, and from our generation, we
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: talk on the phone, we vent. That's what women, Gen
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: X women do, okay? And her personality is like, let
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: me tell you, let me share. And I think sometimes
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: to get some sympathy, to be a little dramatic, that's
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: just her personality. And I think, so she shared... These
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: things of her concerns about the relationship, meaning like, I
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: do pay for all these things or he isn't that
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: nice to me or whatever she said. And then they
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: started talking about it. And she even said, like previous episodes,
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: previous season, she was like, what are you doing talking
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: about my relationship? Now my relationship is over. He'll be furious.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: So she, in her mind, I think she thought she
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: was protecting him. him in the relationship because she did
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: not speak negatively him on camera. She did not go
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: to coffee and rip on John. But then they talked
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: about it and then it got out. And now he feels,
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: oh my God, the world thinks I'm this asshole who
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: talks about her weight and didn't pay for things when
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: that's not me at all. Look how lovely I am
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: to my new girlfriend, Alexis Bellino. And in fact, I
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: gave her this money, you know, for this facelift and
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: I want it back. And then it becomes this weird,
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: gross legal thing. And yeah, the way it's, the audience
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: is a hundred percent, it appears, 95 pro Shannon, because
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: you're like, why, why, why is this being brought up,
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: you know? And, but when you bring it up on camera,
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: then it.
- 1:02:37Speaker 5: Listen, I mean, it's, it's no holds barred, you know, once,
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: once it's, Once you say something on camera.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: And that's why I want to ask you, because I
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: think one of the other thing people don't realize is
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: like when they're like when someone does say something, you know,
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: on whatever show it is. And they're like, I heard
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: a rumor that, you know, whatever. Jenny's boyfriend is seeing
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: guys at the gym. Then they're like now. If you're
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: privy to her saying that, then it's almost like now
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: you feel like, right, I better go tell Jenny that
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: this has been said on camera yesterday because otherwise she's
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: going to see it years later and be like, how
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: could you sit there and not warn me? So I
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: better warn them, but I better warn them on camera
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: to not piss off the producers, right?
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Well, I think that this is a reality show. It's
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: not scripted.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: And so women– are going to do what's natural. And
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: I don't think that producers come into it, at least
- 1:03:41Speaker 5: not in my brain. I think that you protect yourself as.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: You need to.
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: But you also have a choice in what you want
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: to say and also in your actions. You don't have
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: to do these things. You can make different choices.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: And so... if somebody says something, you don't have to
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: jump on it.
- 1:04:06Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: You can just say, you know, and just say, I
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: wish you hadn't said that and go home and go
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: to bed and wake up the next day.
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: But then do you feel like if something was said
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: salacious rumor or not about a fellow housewife that you
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: are close to, do you feel like it's sort of
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: your moral obligation to then let them know that now
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: this is probably part of the season. And I better
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: let you know that they're chatting about this. I feel
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: like your show hasn't had it as much as like
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: New Jersey and things like that, where then someone says
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: it and then they're like, and in this case, they're like,
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: we're all talking about this video of Shannon supposedly acting
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: horribly on a ring camera at John's house. It's got
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: to get out there. She's got to know. Otherwise, it's
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: like she's walking around and, you know.
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, that didn't bother me that they told
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: Shannon that they're talking about that.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: No, I think that they should have.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: That seems like the admirable thing to do.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: You have to. That's what I'm saying. I feel like
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: you have to after a certain amount of time. I
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: feel like they feel.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Like we've got to let her in on that.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: Yeah, so that she is not completely blindsided. God, it's
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: just so awful.
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: It's just so awful to watch and That's why I'm
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: glad she's in Cabo with Luann.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Yeah, having fun.
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: And hopefully like getting some attention and being funny and
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: away from this. And of course this was, you know,
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: filmed like, you know, whatever, nine months ago or whatever.
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: So it's like, I think she's definitely like in a
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: better place. But yeah, it really, it's just like, yeah.
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: It's like when somebody steps on your foot and it hurts.
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: That's how I feel like when I watch it sometimes.
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: But I like the other parts.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: Like, I love, like, Katie's kind of funny. Yeah. And
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: I think Gina's really funny.
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: And Emily's hilarious. And, you know, I love Heather Dubrow.
- 1:05:58Speaker 5: She's a friend of mine, and I love her.
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: She's just so.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: Now, there was always talk that she might jump over
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: and join Beverly Hills because she has a home in Beverly.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: Hills or two homes.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: And, you know, which they rarely do that.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: Yeah. And.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: But, I mean, I was pushing for it. I thought
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: it would have been good. I love Heather.
- 1:06:20Speaker 5: I think she's great. And Terry, they just came to
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: a store event that I did. And just supportive and, like,
- 1:06:27Speaker 5: good people.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: And she's funny, too. Yeah. I mean, and Heather and
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: I are very oddly alike. We're kind of– Very like.
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: I can see that.
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Like we are very.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: High strung and we like things the way we like them.
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: So I like, you know, I like that part. And,
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: you know, I have met Tamara several times and I
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: like her.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:06:50Speaker 5: Because I'm like, stop doing this. You know, can we
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: just give Shannon a break maybe?
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: Yeah. I think Tamara still. I think Tamara went down
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: this road because I think she was still really hurt
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: that when they. didn't ask her back for two years,
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: I think she felt like Shannon kind of blew her off.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: When she wasn't on the show, I think she felt,
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: and it's a fact, Shannon wasn't communicating with her. And
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: then when she came back, then they, you know, had
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: their fun on the show. But I think it was almost,
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: I think it's kind of like, you know, no, that
- 1:07:25Speaker 3: was uncool because, you know, Tamara was the first one
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: on it. I mean, Tamara, I met Shannon because Tamara
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: was like, called me and was like, oh, I saw
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: that you tweeted that you want to go to the
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: USC-UCLA game. The new girl on our show has tickets.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: Do you want to come with us? So that's how
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: I met Shanna Bedore.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Did she go to USC?
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: Yeah, she did. And so I think Tamara, you know,
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: is that girl that feels like I was a really,
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: really good friend to you for such a long time.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: But this plan is just not... It went sour, yeah.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: It went really, really bad. And now they're engaged, Alexis
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: and John Hanson. And, you know, I'm sure she'll come.
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: I'm sure they'll have them back on the show. And
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: I'm sure they'll make Alexis a cast member and they'll
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: have a wedding. And Tamara will be a bridesmaid.
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Here's a true story.
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: About myself.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: So I'm in a small friend group and there's just
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: four of us. And It finally came out that my
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: ex-husband has been dating one of the girls in my
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: friend group. And to the other women, we were like,
- 1:08:42Speaker 5: are there not any other fish in the sea? Like,
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: can you not date somebody else?
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: You know, it's a small group. It's a, you know,
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: there's other women to date. So that part, I'm.
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: Like, really?
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Whatever his name is. Is his name John? I don't know.
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: Yeah, John.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: You know, can you not date a housewife?
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: Maybe.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Just think about that one for a second.
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: I mean, I will say Shannon and Alexis were not friends.
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: They were not like on the show together at the time.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. We're all in a family together.
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: Right, right. Yeah.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: We just are. It's like unwritten rule. Right. But, you know.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: So how do you feel about that girlfriend that's now
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: dating your ex?
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Well, she's no longer a girlfriend.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: Oh.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: But, I mean, that's just weird. It's just weird. No.
- 1:09:28Speaker 3: And so did the two other girls have to break
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: it to you that she was dating?
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: No, my children broke it to me, actually. And I
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: broke it to my girlfriends. You know, it's fine. We're
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: all adults.
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: But it's just a weird thing. It is weird, but
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: it happens a lot because I think it is familiarity.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: And you know each other. And if this girl's your friend,
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: she's probably similar to you.
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: She doesn't want to be.
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: To you.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: But I mean, you know what I mean?
- 1:09:57Speaker 3: Personality wise, like it's like, and I think that's why
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: people go, oh my God, I can't believe, you know,
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: you often hear, oh, you know, and then he married
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: my mom's best friend. Like that isn't like that uncommon.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: Well, I'm not dead. Yeah. Yeah. That does happen when
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: people die.
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: Well, I want to jump to one last thing before
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: I let you go because I am watching– oh, first
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: of all, let me just say this. You watch Real
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: Housewives of Miami at all? This guy was the plastic
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: surgeon married to Lisa.
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: And he– That one is?
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: With the hat on?
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: I mean that's very filtered. Here's another photo of them.
- 1:10:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: Uh-huh. And then this girl used to come to their
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: sexy Halloween parties. And then he left his wife of
- 1:10:49Speaker 3: 14 years with two kids.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I want to thump my forehead on the microphone. Sexy
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Halloween parties. God.
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: And then they were together and they got engaged. And
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: now they're not getting married anymore. And she was already
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: like already posted a photo of her on a boat
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: with some younger guy. And. So everyone's just like, oh,
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: my gosh, you know. Okay. Good. I'm glad it didn't
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: work out because they were like 30 years apart. Yeah,
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: of course. But there was video of them like about
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: two weeks ago that someone got of them like waiting
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: for their car or something at a restaurant. And the
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: body language was like, oh, these two hate each other.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Or she hates him for sure. And he doesn't know
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: what to do. So they're done. Now, this is this
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: beautiful girl, Chelsea. She's on Selling Sunset. And I know
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: you're not watching it, but I want to tell you
- 1:11:39Speaker 3: why I find this super interesting. It already has come
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: out that she and her husband are getting divorced.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Okay. Well, she looks 12.
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: She's gorgeous.
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: She's gorgeous and she's English and she actually does really
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: sell real estate. Okay. So, and she had this husband
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: who was, you know, rich, but look wise, not in
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: her league, but whatever. He was featured on the show.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: And what's really interesting about this season, and I encourage
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: people to watch it because I think it's really juicy.
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: is this other girl that, you know, the thing about
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: Selling Sunset, it's kind of like Housewives, except with tinier outfits.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Except they have jobs. And they kind of have jobs.
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: Jobs are exaggerated as realtors. I think they have their license,
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: but the tiny twins that run Oppenheimer Group, they just
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: give them listings, which never happens in real life real estate.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: Nobody gives you a listing. So, you know, and then
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: they're like, it's $ 8 million, and they walk around.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: But.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: It's a very entertaining show because you see all this
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: beautiful real estate in L.A. Like real estate porn. Yes. Girls, girls.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: That's why I call it real estate porn, fashion porn.
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: The girls are pretty. But then they have these relationships
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: and this really juicy thing like unfolded on camera, which
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: is this one girl, Brie, goes and has lunch with
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: her friend. And the friend is like, my friend texted
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: me and said that they saw Chelsea's husband in the
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: W Hotel making out with a woman. And now it's
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: on camera. So then that girl, Bree, felt I got
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: to tell her, but she told her on camera. So
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: there is this moment where it is so real that
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: she has, she's like, I knew there was a disconnect,
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: but I had no idea, you know, that I didn't,
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: I had no, I didn't suspect cheating, but I knew
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: we were having a little disconnect. And she's like, the
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: problem with our marriage happened in the last two years
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: when she became famous, like being on the show. Like
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: he wasn't– she calls it work. But we know the
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: work really means not having an open house on Sunday.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: It means being famous on TV, you know, and doing
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: all the stuff that comes along with being on TV.
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: And so that's where I was kind of saying about
- 1:13:51Speaker 3: saying the things on camera because then there's discussion of
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: like this girl should have called her. Privately. Privately, yes. Yeah.
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: Because it is such a big deal.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: And it did– it definitely resulted in she's divorced or
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: getting divorced.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: And I think it– so I thought it was just
- 1:14:10Speaker 3: such an interesting thing. But I also think take TV
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: out of it. There's always the old question of if
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: you knew your husband– your friend's husband was cheating, do
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: you tell? Because then if they get back together– then
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: guess what? They're never going to want you to be
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: in their life. They're going to blame you for telling.
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: And that's exactly what's happening. She's starting to blame the girl, Brie,
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: for telling. And it's like, because told it on camera,
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: but still it's like, don't shoot the messenger. Like, do you,
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: have you ever been in the position where you're like,
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: you know, cause I do think that's, you always think
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: you're doing the right thing. You tell your girlfriend, your
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: girlfriend's like, you're the best friend ever. Thank you for
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: telling me. But then it's, Unless they divorce their cheating
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: husband or break up with their cheating boyfriend, somehow if
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: they get back together, somehow it seems oftentimes the guy goes,
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: it was your friend that ruined this. Or they're so
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: embarrassed that they stay with the cheating asshole that they
- 1:15:11Speaker 3: really can't be friends with the girl that broke the
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: news to them. Do you know what I mean?
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Well, I would definitely tell my friend.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: Have you ever had to tell your friend?
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: No.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: No.
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: It's a really hard position to be in. I think
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: it's a really– it's always one of those advice questions
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: where you're like, I don't know. Because if you tell– But.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: Would I want to know?
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: On the other side, I would want my friend to
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: tell me.
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: Yes. But as you– as a person who has the info,
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: I think people don't realize what a hard position– It
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: is to have the info for what could happen. Your
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: initial thought is like, girl, you know, or like, God forbid,
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: you see it with your own eyes.
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Back to Tiffany Haddish and in that movie, Girl's Trip.
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: I'm her with a bottle of wine, breaking it open,
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: running over to the husband going, what are.
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: You doing with that girl?
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: You know, I would be more angry and I would
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: confront my friend's husband in public.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: I would do that in one million years.
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: If you went to a restaurant and saw him.
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: Every day for the rest of my life, I would
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: do that.
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: I'd be like, hello. Who is this? Yeah, I'm right here.
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: Are you going to tell her or am I?
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: Because that's what's about to happen right now.
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: You don't want to mess with me too much sometimes.
- 1:16:44Speaker 3: I actually think that you hit the nail on the head.
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: I actually now think if you're ever in this position,
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: you need to contact the husband, whether it's by phone
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: or in person, and say, I know you're fucking around
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: on my friend. If you're going to end it, great.
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: I don't care, but you got to tell her. You
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: got to tell her or I am. So let me
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: know when you're going to tell her because then it
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: does come from him and they can deal with it
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: and you're not the one that's like, bearing the bad message,
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: but he knows. You still may lose both your friends.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: They still might get together and he may convince her
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: that you're the problem, but if he is the one
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: coming and confessing... It will all come out in the wash.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: It will all come out in the wash, Heather.
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: But I think that is the better thing to do,
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: is make him do the whole thing. Either you're telling
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: her or I am. And it should really come from you.
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: It'll be less humiliating... If it comes from you, privately,
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: your husband.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: You dirty lion dog.
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: Warning to all of my friends' husbands. Yes.
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: I agree. Sutton, you're so cute. So tell everybody, like,
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: what is going on with you, how they can get
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: your clothes, follow you, everything.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: So I know everybody's like, oh, she's gone out of business.
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: Wait, what was that? You just moved locations? Or what
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: was that about?
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: So what we're doing, I don't have a storefront anymore.
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: It's all online. And, you know, I've been working on
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Sutton Brands, which is my second company. And I have
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: a business partner who's in Houston, Texas. And that's what
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: we do, all of our circular fashion, which is all sustainable.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: And so that's excess returns and excess inventory that we
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: remanufacture with my label, SuttonGreenLabel.com.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: So you look for... style that matches your, how do
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: you pick the items?
- 1:18:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Well, some of them are returns. So he is in
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: the return business. with Retail Reworks. And so some of
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: them are actual returns. And then some are excess inventory.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Both of these things, there's so much out there.
- 1:19:02Speaker 3: And is it designer or across the gamut?
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just some are designers that we know. But
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: this is all above board. Everybody knows what we're doing
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: and what our company does.
- 1:19:14Speaker 5: But they're going to get put on boats and sent
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: to landfills, not in this country but in other countries.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: And it's a huge problem.
- 1:19:25Speaker 5: Fashion is the number two pollutant on our earth.
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: What's number one, the planes?
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: Probably stuff like that. And I should know that answer.
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: I know. But it's, you know, pollutants that have been
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: around for a long time. And so I want to
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: be a part of the solution and not part of
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: the problem. And so I've really been focusing on that.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: So I'm taking all of like my boutique is going
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: to be online and then all of the circular fashion
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: is online. So it's just easier. I don't need the
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: storefront for it. I don't have the room for it,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: to be honest.
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: And I think that, you know, we've been doing live shopping.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: That's kind of the wave of the future for shopping.
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: That's what people do. It's fun.
- 1:20:09Speaker 5: I've been doing a few of them and it's fun
- 1:20:11Speaker 5: to go live and shop and shop with me.
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: Right. So we're doing that. And Cynthia Bailey has a
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: line with me under certain brands. So it's the Cynthia
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: Bailey collection. And that's all you can find it on SuttonGreenLabel.com.
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: So it's just gotten bigger.
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: And so it's more of a success than anything. In
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: the back of the courtyard where my storefront was, I
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: have a beautiful office back there where people can go
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: by appointment. And I'll have, you know, my samples will
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: be there. And I'll still do like pop-ups in my
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: courtyard and do my events that I love to do.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: So alive and kicking and actually kind of killing it. Good.
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: I love it. I think that's great.
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: It's really fun and it's more, I think, modern.
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: And not as old-fashioned shopping. Yeah. But I'll have my
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: jewelry displays and all that. So it's really pretty. And
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: we'll have chances to– you can come back and see
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: the space when I do my events and things like that.
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: So it's fun. It's really fun.
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: Well, thank you, Sutton. You're always such a juicy delight.
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: You are a juicy scooper. Thank you. Guys, I hope

- 1:21:31Speaker 3: of course, I talk all about this and everything that
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: I didn't get to this week, personal and in the news.
