  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think everybody on the planet that watches football for any amount of time during a given season can tell you the Jack Wars receivers are pretty good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's a wild thing to think about, how much talent Trevor Lawrence has to throw to.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think one of the storylines that has potentially slept on a little bit in my opinion, is Parker Washington and the emergence of Parker Washington.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, but obviously, you know, James Gladstone with the trade mid-season, Britain strange coming back and helping them lock things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: TLDR on Brian Thomas Jr. towards the end of the season last year, he was a legitimate field stretching target that was showing good efficiency and explosiveness wasn't putting the football on the ground and wasn't a high volume target.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was helping the offense down the stretch after he came back from injury.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, getting into Parker Washington, you want to talk about somebody helping the offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was unbelievable in the biggest games of the season for the Jaguar's down the stretch.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Against the Denver Broncos, in Denver, sick catches on nine targets, 145 yards, and a touchdown.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Honestly, he was the only Jagger's Siever, wider Siever, that really stepped up in that game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: All right, and he had seven catches on 10 targets for 170 yards and a touchdown.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He might be, I mean, if you're talking about who you're getting on the field together, 11 personnel is going to be

  [SPEAKER_00]: probably the Jaguars most utilized personnel package on off, which is three titans, three titans.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're having to decide between Jacobi and Brian Thomas Jr. and Parker Washington and Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's a good problem to have, but I kind of think you can't take Parker off the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and look, I'll be the first to admit it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: After a Parker Washington only caught four of 10 targets against the Los Angeles Rams, I was one over here saying, even though I had been a huge Parker Washington fan, his whole career and even going back to Penn State, I thought he should have been a third round pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, dude, he can't be your go-to target.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can't.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think really,

  [SPEAKER_00]: it was he can't do it by himself.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He showed you down the stretch, he could handle 10 targets, he could handle 9 targets, each of the Jaguar's last four games he had at least 9 targets.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He turned in a 145-yard performance against Denver, 115-yard performance against Andy, 87-yard performance against the Titans, which could have been more, but that game was an absolute blowout, and a hundred seven and a touchdown, three touchdowns total in that four-game

  [SPEAKER_00]: is he the jackwars receiver that has to be on the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can play in the slot, he can play outside.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, he might be.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I love to Kobe Myers and what he brings to the offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's averaging 14.7 yards per catch, coming down with contested catches like a madman, going up and getting the football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: it was wild to see uh... the way he was playing i mean he caught sixty five percent of his contested catch targets which it wasn't just a couple it was nineteen of twenty nine he was also a yac threat he has the ability to to be that guy moving forward he's awesome

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm fired up to see the next step, right, for Parker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then yeah, you do have Jacobi Myers as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Who I think was a godsend for the Jaguars at the time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, Britain's strange was injured at the time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Parker Washington is trying to do everything by himself out there, internship Kobe Myers, and just a stabilizing force, caught nearly 70% of his targets.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Never had like huge games outside of, like, I mean, he had 90 against Tennessee, and a game that he didn't need to have that much.

  [SPEAKER_00]: but it was just steady consistent performances for Jacobi, stabilizing the offense, giving them a possession receiver, somebody who can go over the middle, somebody who has incredibly reliable hands.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And somebody who can also come down with some contested catches and route people up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're very good route runner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you've got Parker working, short, intermediate, deep.

  [SPEAKER_00]: working short to intermediate for the most part.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And in the middle of the field and on the outside, you've got Brian Thomas Jr. as this vertical threat on the outside.

  [SPEAKER_00]: All these skill sets complimenting each other and then Britain strange who when he's on the field you don't know if he's gonna kick your linebackers but in a blocking scenario, one on one in space or a safety or a corner or he's going to

  [SPEAKER_00]: get wide open, partially thanks to his own athletic ability and development as a route runner, partially thanks to Liam Cohen and his play design, but Britain Strange was fantastic for the Jaguar last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you talk about Parker Washington.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's entering his four seasons in the league in 2026.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He will be in December, but there's just so much talent here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's your bread and butter from last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now you can definitely go for a wide too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And get all four of their receivers, Jacobi Parker, BTJ, and Travis Hunter on the field at the same time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: where I think Britain's strange and Nate Borkacher, look, I think Nate Borkacher can be an effective third, fourth, fifth target in a progression, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Check down target, underneath target, sit in the zone type of target, and you get Britain and him out on the field at the same time and that's tough to deal with.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, I just think that this passing game,

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, the receivers is what we're focusing on here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the receivers are more than good enough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to sit here and say, I think BTJ is about to turn in another unbelievable season like his rookie year, but I'm also not going to say it's not possible.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We saw that talent and we saw the consistency and the efficiency uptick down the stretch.

  [SPEAKER_00]: More comfortable in this offense, more comfortable with Trevor Lawrence, et cetera.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Are we going to sit here and say that Travis Hunter can't be a wide receiver one?

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not willing to say that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, there's enough, in my mind, potential to have a wider receiver one here, combined with the fact that you do have four really talented wider receivers, at least one really talented tight end.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then, that's not even mentioning, you know, you're going to get cozyle who is a prolific receiving tight end.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think you can do a lot of things from the slot for you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You go get Josh Cameron and CJ Williams, who I think are both going to be upgrades at the back end of the roster at wide receiver compared to what you had last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're looking pretty damn good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I give the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Within the context of the current NFL, I give their wide receiver room in a.

  [SPEAKER_00]: within the context of the NFL over the last 20, 30 years, probably an A minus, but it could easily be an A plus.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, try to see where I'm including Britain's strange.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If Travis Hunter takes a step forward in consistency, if BTJ can take a little bit more higher volume.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If Parker Washington just continues playing the way he was playing,

  [SPEAKER_00]: If only one of those ifs come true, this is not a lead-wide receiver room like historically.
