- 2:39because we got something that's totally different from all the other authors. Because
- 2:45y'all know I love streetlet y'all know that's my thing. Y'all know I like
- 2:49that romance drama. But were going somewhere totally different tonight. So I'm gonna
- 2:55introduce you guys to author Nubias. You a little glimpse shall be. Come
- 3:02on up, girly, Come on up? Hi are you? I am
- 3:08great? How are you? So? We're having a little technical difficulties.
- 3:14But she's still sitting down near you, guys. She is the author of
- 3:16the book called High Frequency. Let's see we can get her to come on
- 3:21back up again. Come on up, girly, I'm back. Look see
- 3:32she played with us, She playing with us to high frequency. You,
- 3:38guys, my first time ever hearing a book along this line. Okay,
- 3:45So I am very excited for you guys to actually meet her and to hear
- 3:51what she has to say. So we're gonna try. You good to go,
- 3:54Girly. I'm not sure what's going on, but I hope this works
- 4:00this time. We're good because we're getting past that point. Thank you for
- 4:06joining us tonight. So first, you have to tell us a little bit
- 4:12about yourself. Absolutely. So, I am twenty seven. I will be
- 4:16twenty eight in November. Second, I have forty seven books published on Amazon.
- 4:24I am super Oh will hold up? Hold up, you're about to
- 4:29be twenty seven, you said, correct, correct, And you got forty
- 4:33seven books. Where do you sleep? So actually I kind of write every
- 4:44week and I get them out there as quickly as I can because I do
- 4:49have school on the side. So I think that's what happened. I'm writing
- 4:55away and publishing. You're like, all right, this is good. Here
- 4:59you go. That's cool. That's cool. That means you keep you keep
- 5:03your readers engaged. I love that so high frequency. First of all,
- 5:12the cover is loving it, loving it, and you guys will see it
- 5:17when I post the blog about her book, but tell us a little bit
- 5:21about high frequency. Awesome. So high frequency is what came together with a
- 5:30dream that I had. It also came together with an idea. So basically,
- 5:36Rayon the main character, he is from Saudi Arabia and this one,
- 5:43this idea that I had, I wanted to showcase the Christ's consciousness twelve D
- 5:49in the physical world because basically twelve D is only found in the spiritual world.
- 5:56So this idea was like pretty interesting to me because I did have a
- 6:01dream about the first part where Rayon was in a room and it was a
- 6:05glowing it was glowing light out of the room and the two people were bound
- 6:12down to the room because it was Yah himself talking to the main character.
- 6:15So to combine that and put it all into that book, it was just
- 6:20amazing for me. So, yes, that is high frequency. Now,
- 6:27didn't I tell y'all this was going to be something that was different. I
- 6:30told y'all, so, and don't be scared of different. Different can be
- 6:34a good thing, you guys. Okay, So who is your target audience
- 6:42for this book? Like, who should read it? I know everybody should
- 6:46read it, but if you can have your ideal reader. Who would that
- 6:49person be? This person will be interested in spiritual fiction, science fiction,
- 6:57and fantasy because it basically compacts all of that in one So if you are
- 7:03interested and that high frecacy is for you. So in library world, you
- 7:10guys, we call this afro futurism. Yes, absolutely, it is one
- 7:15of the new hottest drama genres out there. Because African Americans wasn't big into
- 7:25sci fi, paranormal or young adult we would call a steampunk. They weren't
- 7:31into this, so you brought these new authors that had that. Okay,
- 7:36y'all don't want to I'm gonna give you a little bit of urban fiction,
- 7:41what a little bit of Harry Potter, and we're gonna mix it up with
- 7:45some uh let's see urban fiction, Harry Potter, what a little bit of
- 7:50the whiz and we're gonna get it all sprinkled together. And that's what you
- 7:55get afrofuturism. Okay. And when you reach out to me and we connect,
- 8:01I was like, oh wow, I have to personally say that I've
- 8:03never read an Apple Futures book. I am afraid to read piranormal. Not
- 8:11because I'm scared, it's the fact that I don't feel like my mind can
- 8:15wrap around it. But that is my challenge for twenty twenty four to read
- 8:20outside of my realm. So I, as a reader would appreciate and thank
- 8:24you for writing your book. So when you are writing, do you find
- 8:31an emotional and difficult to write this type of book? Or did it was?
- 8:41Was it just like easy flowing? Kind of both? Easy flowing because
- 8:48I basically expanded my ideas on the draam the main idea and emotional because I
- 8:56kind of I kind of am not in twelve D. So I'm like,
- 9:00well, how do you really, you know, write something like this.
- 9:05So with an inspiration of the big Head scientists he is on YouTube his videos
- 9:11basically like technology wise, you know, spiritual wise. That was a big
- 9:16inspiration, along with the sixteen eleven Bible, a mix of the Muslim culture
- 9:24and information and the Hebrew Israel like information and all of that correlated so well,
- 9:30and I was able to just write it and your head didn't blow up?
- 9:33Girl, I'm sorry, what did you say? Your head didn't blow
- 9:37up from all those ideas just the Muslim in the human girl? It did
- 9:43not. Actually, I usually listened to meditation music while I write, So
- 9:50this inspiration and meditation music helped the words just come on. So I was
- 9:54just right the way and I was able to publish. So what other type
- 9:58of of genres do you write in? So I'm mainly writing romance. I
- 10:05love romance, I love fantasy. I also have a lot of science fiction.
- 10:11And I just wrote a fan fiction. This is kind of new that
- 10:16I've brought together. So yeah, that's another new one. Fans fiction is
- 10:20a long one or short. This one is a bit two hundred pages.
- 10:26I understand a lot of people have different views on what's long or short,
- 10:31but if you are in the mix, I would say it's medium. It's
- 10:37a medium page pridges, that's that's that's a good that's a nice size.
- 10:43That's a that's a nice little meat potatoes type book right there. Right.
- 10:46So you have someone to just ask you a question in our chat and they
- 10:50said, do you research what you're right? Yes, I do. It
- 10:56is the name, the character names, is the research of the different places.
- 11:01Because I'm mainly based in Chicago, Illinois, so I'm not like really
- 11:05out there in those other countries, so I definitely research what's going on out
- 11:09there. So I can write that in my book. I also research the
- 11:13culture, like what is going on that's different from where I live, And
- 11:18so that's basically how the books come about and that's how I make them.
- 11:24So yeah, okay, so I guess my next question would be, you
- 11:31say you dream your books. Do you do like other authors and they have
- 11:35the characters talking to them or you get into the mind of the character.
- 11:43I mean, how do you work your characters in your books? So mainly
- 11:48with my dreams, it does be the main event, like the big idea
- 11:52of the book. And with the characters, I like think of them kind
- 11:58of later, like I put them in the book later, Like if there
- 12:01is dialogue in the book, I will make that up as I go.
- 12:05So I'm like a flower type of writer, and I expand on the idea
- 12:09of the dream. So yeah, courage, You're good. You're good.
- 12:15You guys, We're gonna take a little break. We got some commercials we
- 12:18gotta play, but we're gonna come back because the second half is the fun
- 12:22half. That's the half that we really get to know you and you get
- 12:28to know more about you. We already talked about the book. Okay,
- 12:31cool, Now we get to know about you. So you guys, we're
- 12:33gonna hit these commercials real quick, stay tuned. Are you tired of the

- 13:45ways. So stop procrastinating, un Let's get started with writing their book.
- 13:54So you guys, we are back, and y'all know the second half is
- 13:58we really have some fun. So these questions I don't send to my authors
- 14:03because I want y'all to think off the cusp. Okay, so your main
- 14:09character, what is his name again, Rayon? So describe Rayon in the
- 14:22terms of a football team. If he could be any football team, who
- 14:33would he be and why? Okay, I'm kind of not well versed in
- 14:41the sports genre, I will say, so, okay, do you do
- 14:45music? Yeah? Everybody does? Okay, So okay, rap or or
- 14:54R and B rap? Who would he be as a rap singer, a
- 15:01rap artist? And why? Someone that's out already or someone that's just coming
- 15:09up. He's the one you choose. Okay, awesome, So he will
- 15:13be someone that's coming up. He will be an independent type of person,
- 15:18type of rapper, and he will basicly basically make conscience based music. This
- 15:24will get the attention of people like Kendrick Lamar J, Cole jay Z,
- 15:31you know, stuff like that, because this is who he is about.
- 15:35He's about the most high So of course you know, we that type of
- 15:41she she called out all the names. Okay, and let's see if he
- 15:50was from the south where I am Charleston, South Carolina. But if he
- 15:54was from the south, where would he be from? That's a hard question.
- 16:03A little bit that I've read I got I got two different ones,
- 16:11but they're very close. I got him from Charleston, but then I got
- 16:15a New Orleans swing tom. Okay, I didn't have those two. Who
- 16:19do you get That's a hard question because off the top of the dome it's
- 16:26hard to remember, like you know, the names of the streets. But
- 16:30at the same time, he would be from south south side Chicago, you
- 16:37know Chicago. Okay, see, that's what I work. So how does
- 16:42your where you're from come through in your character? Because I basically stay on
- 16:52the hood side, you know, seventy nine Dilomas. That's basically where all
- 16:56of the you know, the the happenings happened. Okay, Okay, I
- 17:02see you, I see you. So I try to like implement the action
- 17:06part basically not you know, necessarily what's exactly happening, but something that's you
- 17:12know, different, but at the same time it's relatable, like you know,
- 17:18this would happen. Maybe it's shootings, maybe it's selling drugs, maybe
- 17:25it's people on a corner gang stuff like that. It's kind of crazy how
- 17:32that is, how what I'm seeing on my side of street. But at
- 17:36the same time, I know it's better out there, so that's all that
- 17:40matters. And you're just writing from what you see. And a person like
- 17:42me, I love books like that. I love when the author can take
- 17:47me away from my home and bring me in their home and I feel comfortable
- 17:51because they're like literally it's like or reading VR experience. You know what I'm
- 17:57saying that I am caught up in the book. So reader questions, what
- 18:07book is on your night stand? Who? So right now, it's a
- 18:12lot because you know, my two we read list is always feeling up.
- 18:18Oh my, you know what. It's won by Joy Deja Kine called Bad
- 18:23Bitch. She is the main urban fiction writer that inspired me. So I'm
- 18:30like, look, that's the one I'm reading next. I gotta tell you
- 18:36my Joy d King story. Okay, I work at a library. I've
- 18:40worked in a library for eighteen years. Okay, never picked up a book
- 18:44before. Okay, So it was like maybe a couple of months in the
- 18:48working in the library. Young lady calls and I'm gonna leep out the word,
- 18:52and I'm gonna say the word everybody. She said, I'm looking for
- 18:56the book. B hold up, let's try this again. How can I
- 19:04help you today? I'm looking for the book. B mmm hold on.
- 19:14So I got my mentor God bless her soul. Cynthia heard and I used
- 19:18to call her sin. I said, son, there's this lady on this
- 19:21phone who's cursing me out. She got one more time, and y'all about
- 19:26the fire. She's like, okay, let me handle it. How can
- 19:30I help you? I was just talking to another lady and I was looking
- 19:33for the book. B Oh, okay, click click click like oh by
- 19:38door, Daisy Joy King, Oh we got in and the system this mean,
- 19:42hold up, that's a book. She's like, yeah. I said,
- 19:48y'all got books like that, so I did. That wasn't the first
- 19:52one I read. I'm just shocked that that book was like that title was
- 19:57in a library, like out there and open and I'm like, no,
- 20:03they can't be. And it was the B the Baddest B the another one.
- 20:08It's like a five book series. That's my that's my DJ King.
- 20:15I did not know after that it was on because the first book that I
- 20:19read was Thugs and the Women who Loved Them The Girl that a good one,
- 20:26that's a great one they needed. Well he the clock. I'm gonna
- 20:33need you to make that to a movie. We've seen Dutch, we've seen
- 20:40what's the other one? Uh, there's another one that always be on b
- 20:44et. Plus I'm gonna need you to make Thugs and the Women who Loved
- 20:48Them a book to a movie clariod. All right you So, so if
- 20:57you can collaborate with any other author, who would it be? Absolutely Joy?
- 21:03I would. I would say Joy das you came because she was the
- 21:07first one who I saw. She was the on the cover of all of
- 21:12her books, and it was such an inspiration. I'm like, I want
- 21:15to do that. But then I looked back, I said, oh,
- 21:18I ain't got the budget for that. I'm going, but I would collaborate
- 21:26with her and I will actually be on that because then I will have the
- 21:29budget. Okay, But you know a lot of them actually started their their
- 21:37journey. They actually asked family they didn't have the budget for their books.
- 21:44Who was it? I cannot remember the name because it's a lot of them.
- 21:47One of them actually went to jail wrote the book, came home,
- 21:52started working for a lawyer's office, and then proposition her family to give her
- 21:57money and she took off. I want to say that might have been Keith
- 22:02Shrvan. So hey, I have a lot of friends who have covers.
- 22:07Now. They just go do a photoshoot and put the put you on the
- 22:11back of their book or into their book so that the readers can actually see
- 22:15who there who their favorite new author is. Okay, So one more question.
- 22:23If your life can be written by any author, who would you want
- 22:30to write it? And what would the title be for this one? I
- 22:37would say Toy Styles, and I would you hadn't hit with the Tea Styles
- 22:42absolutely, because first of all, I gotta say this, she is doing
- 22:48something that I want to do. Is my dream. Actually, she's turning
- 22:51her books into movies and that's what I want to do. Now. The
- 22:56title would be, though, uh, since it's about my life, Yeah,
- 23:02it'll probably be Forget the Bs. I want to say the cuss word,
- 23:11but I can't say the cuss word, so I say forget you know
- 23:14what I'm trying to say? Oh my god, So I bet you you've
- 23:18been with t Style them back in the Triple Crown Ages. Huh girl,
- 23:22yes, I First of all, she wrote I would say a thousand books
- 23:27by that because it's like she got a huge catalog. Girl, you're just
- 23:34definitely coming down. You got the content, you got the the movie set.
- 23:38I'm like, look, I love the way she writes her books along
- 23:44with Joy, So you know, these two are my favorite authors. Right
- 23:47now, I'm trying to find more time to read because I am like hectic
- 23:52with my school stuff, work and stuff. I'm like, look, TBI
- 23:56is just padding up. Girl. If you can only see my phone,
- 24:00I had so much screenshots of books on my phone, Like I'll be sitting
- 24:06up there in the middle of night like, oh, tat, you gotta
- 24:08get this one, gotta get this one. Be on the computer like this
- 24:12a We're like treats another book. So but I see you. You you
- 24:21the Triple crown eerror. Like me, That's what I don't tell about.
- 24:25When Irvin was just starting, it was pretty greedy, like they didn't hold
- 24:30annything back. Okay, we are winding down, and we always want to
