- 2:32Speaker 3: I know it's seen.
- 3:21Speaker 2: I guess it would be nice if I unmuted.
- 3:23Speaker 4: I'm so used to being behind the scenes and being
- 3:26Speaker 4: muted to I don't even even check it when I
- 3:30Speaker 4: come on. But I thank God for the Holy Spirit
- 3:33Speaker 4: for making me be vigilant and look down and check that.
- 3:38Speaker 2: But again, I thank God for being able to be
- 3:42Speaker 2: in the mist.
- 3:43Speaker 4: I just wanted to jump on and share some opportunities
- 3:47Speaker 4: with you, guys that we have here with the Spiring
- 3:50Speaker 4: Authors magazine, The Crew podcast, as well as South Carolina
- 3:57Speaker 4: Book Gal and France. Y'all, So, if you are not aware,
- 4:03Speaker 4: we are now utilizing the billboards in Times Square every month,
- 4:11Speaker 4: twice a month, we are highlighting authors. I know a
- 4:15Speaker 4: lot of people saying, why should I put my book
- 4:18Speaker 4: cover on the billboard? Well, y'all know, thousands and thousands
- 4:22Speaker 4: of people visit that particular area every day from all
- 4:28Speaker 4: over the world. So it gives you an opportunity to
- 4:31Speaker 4: position yourself, your brand, and it gives you an opportunity
- 4:36Speaker 4: to put this on your bios, to put this on
- 4:40Speaker 4: your resumes, to let people know that you have been
- 4:42Speaker 4: featured in Times Square. That opportunity for maybe you can
- 4:46Speaker 4: get sponsorship and different things.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Y'all. We're not out here to break the bank.
- 4:51Speaker 4: We're not out here to charge your arm and the
- 4:53Speaker 4: leg I look at some of the prices for those
- 4:55Speaker 4: that are charging to place.
- 4:57Speaker 2: You on the billboard, y'all.
- 4:59Speaker 4: We're just trying to give you some exposure, trying to
- 5:01Speaker 4: give you some opportunity to get your brand out there.
- 5:06Speaker 4: Know that it's not just a feature on the billboard.
- 5:11Speaker 4: But there's other perks that come along with being featured
- 5:15Speaker 4: on the billboard that you're not gonna get for just
- 5:17Speaker 4: fifty dollars. So I want you, you guys to think
- 5:20Speaker 4: about this as you are passing up these opportunities. Y'all,
- 5:24Speaker 4: don't pass them up. If you are directed to come
- 5:28Speaker 4: through these lives and to come through our platform, know
- 5:32Speaker 4: that there's a reason why you're passing through. There's a
- 5:35Speaker 4: reason why you are getting this information. Know that every month,
- 5:42Speaker 4: the first and third Saturday, we are going to be
- 5:45Speaker 4: featuring authors, book covers, and every month where there is
- 5:51Speaker 4: a holiday, like Mother's Day, we're gonna do a Mother's
- 5:56Speaker 4: Day billboard.
- 5:57Speaker 2: So if you want to.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Create a legacy, create some memories of your mother, this
- 6:05Speaker 4: is a great opportunity for you to share your moms
- 6:11Speaker 4: for Mother Day to highlight her.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Y'all.
- 6:13Speaker 4: You get an opportunity to share these live cams where
- 6:16Speaker 4: people can click on the link and they can actually
- 6:19Speaker 4: see the billboard as it is flashing. We would give
- 6:23Speaker 4: you the times that it's gonna come up so that
- 6:25Speaker 4: you can if you want to have a watch party
- 6:27Speaker 4: with your family, y'all can sit down and y'all can
- 6:30Speaker 4: watch these these flash as they flash across the billboard.
- 6:35Speaker 4: I'll tell you it's nothing like creating memories and letting
- 6:39Speaker 4: your kids know the Hey, mama, grandmama, great grandmama, auntie, brother, sister,
- 6:47Speaker 4: whoever is making a way. It's creating legacy for you guys,
- 6:51Speaker 4: so that you can be featured on these billboards and
- 6:55Speaker 4: things like that, letting our babies know the Hey, if
- 6:58Speaker 4: I can do this, you can this too.
- 7:01Speaker 2: So just wanted to throw that out there.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Y'all can see in there's a flyer here that tells
- 7:09Speaker 4: you a little bit about it the billboard, some of
- 7:11Speaker 4: the dates that's coming up. All you got to do
- 7:14Speaker 4: is direct message me or Patrice. She can give you
- 7:18Speaker 4: some information as well. Every first and third Saturday, we
- 7:24Speaker 4: are going to be spotlightening authors book covers on the billboard.
- 7:29Speaker 4: So if you know that you're going to be in
- 7:32Speaker 4: the New York area, or if you live in the
- 7:34Speaker 4: New York area, even if you don't, y'all, there's a
- 7:39Speaker 4: live cam again where you will see you'll be able
- 7:44Speaker 4: to share that link and people can click on that
- 7:46Speaker 4: link and they can see the billboard. We know that
- 7:51Speaker 4: at certain times that the billboard is not clear because
- 7:56Speaker 4: of the lighting and things like that, but y'all, it
- 7:59Speaker 4: is an amazing opportunity for you to get your brand
- 8:01Speaker 4: out there and to share your brand. I have shared
- 8:05Speaker 4: some information and some details about that as well.
- 8:09Speaker 2: We are also.
- 8:13Speaker 4: We are doing again, y'all for the fifth I think
- 8:17Speaker 4: this may be the fourth or fifth year. Patrese is
- 8:20Speaker 4: doing the fifty five States. Well, it's the fifty states
- 8:25Speaker 4: and the five territories of the US. So if you
- 8:29Speaker 4: want to represent your states, it's only thirty six dollars,
- 8:34Speaker 4: and Patrese has some extra purpose that come along with it.
- 8:38Speaker 4: You get a different things that come along with that.
- 8:42Speaker 4: So reach out to her, y'all. Thirty six dollars, you
- 8:45Speaker 4: get a one page feature inside of the magazine. This
- 8:50Speaker 4: magazine is going to drop in August. I think we
- 8:55Speaker 4: said August the first. It's gonna drop on augusta first,
- 8:59Speaker 4: and this going to be a special audition. It's going
- 9:02Speaker 4: to have nothing but the fifty five states, so I
- 9:05Speaker 4: mean the fifty states and divide US territories. So if
- 9:09Speaker 4: you want to really position yourself as someone from that state,
- 9:14Speaker 4: let people know that you are an author and you
- 9:16Speaker 4: representing that state. You get an opportunity to represent that state.
- 9:20Speaker 4: You get an opportunity to represent your brand, shout out
- 9:23Speaker 4: your city, however you want to do it. It is
- 9:25Speaker 4: an opportunity for you to be showcased. And there's only
- 9:29Speaker 4: one author per state, so make sure that you taking
- 9:34Speaker 4: advantage of that. You know, there are a lot of
- 9:38Speaker 4: us out here now, so grab your spot and when
- 9:42Speaker 4: people see you.
- 9:44Speaker 2: In print.
- 9:45Speaker 4: The magazine is available on Amazon and digital, mad Cloud
- 9:51Speaker 4: and digital and print, blurb and print, and it is
- 9:55Speaker 4: a global distribution, so you get an opportunity to be
- 9:59Speaker 4: seen around the world. You get our actual printed copy.
- 10:02Speaker 4: You're gonna get to be able to order you a
- 10:04Speaker 4: printed copy at cost to print, and you're going to
- 10:08Speaker 4: be able to share that. What a way to create
- 10:11Speaker 4: a legacy. What a way to create a legacy, something
- 10:14Speaker 4: that nobody can take away from you. It's in print,
- 10:18Speaker 4: it's in black and white. This is something that is
- 10:20Speaker 4: going to be archive. There's people have been in our magazine.
- 10:26Speaker 4: We are six years, y'all, six years of service. It
- 10:31Speaker 4: ain't something that we've just started, y'all. We've been doing this.
- 10:35Speaker 4: I know a lot of magazines just kicking off, just
- 10:37Speaker 4: starting but we've been doing this for six years. I
- 10:42Speaker 4: know there's a lot of magazines out there now, but y'all,
- 10:45Speaker 4: we've been serving and we have been global for six years,
- 10:49Speaker 4: giving you an opportunity to position yourself, giving you an
- 10:53Speaker 4: opportunity to let people know what you are doing. So
- 10:57Speaker 4: y'all take advantage of these opportunities as they come forth,
- 11:00Speaker 4: so that you can position your brand. No, we're not
- 11:05Speaker 4: gonna guarantee you gonna get a median likes, you're gonna
- 11:07Speaker 4: get a median followers, you're gonna sell one hundred thousand copies,
- 11:12Speaker 4: but you get an opportunity to create and leave a legacy.
- 11:16Speaker 4: How many people have thought about being in a magazine,
- 11:20Speaker 4: never thought that they would be able to be in
- 11:21Speaker 4: a magazine, yet alone being recognized, y'all, I counted all
- 11:28Speaker 4: joy because last this past summer, well last year, I
- 11:33Speaker 4: had an opportunity to be a part of It's Lit
- 11:38Speaker 4: Lit Awards. Y'all, our magazine was nominated along beside Essence
- 11:46Speaker 4: and Ebony, had an opportunity to meet the guy from
- 11:51Speaker 4: Essence that came and accepted hit the award for them.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Out of all the magazines in the world, y'all, we
- 11:59Speaker 4: were able to sit on a platform with Ebony and
- 12:03Speaker 4: Essence and be recognized as a magazine. So if nothing
- 12:10Speaker 4: else that I am proud of that. If nothing else happens,
- 12:14Speaker 4: if we don't get no more recognition, we don't get
- 12:16Speaker 4: no more awards, It's something that's gonna go down in history.
- 12:20Speaker 4: It's something that's gonna go down a part of my
- 12:24Speaker 4: legacy that I'm gonna be able to leave that.
- 12:28Speaker 2: It's gonna carry on in my family.
- 12:29Speaker 4: They gonna know that, Hey, my auntie had a magazine
- 12:34Speaker 4: and she was recognized alongside Ebony and Essence, which are
- 12:38Speaker 4: some amazing magazines. So y'all take opportunity to position yourself.
- 12:44Speaker 4: You never know what God is setting you up for.
- 12:48Speaker 4: You never know who he's aligning you with and what
- 12:52Speaker 4: connections you can make because of a connection or because
- 12:55Speaker 4: of what somebody see. You never know who may be
- 13:01Speaker 4: watching you, never know who God may be aligning you
- 13:06Speaker 4: through opportunities that come forth. So y'all take advantage of
- 13:10Speaker 4: these opportunities. They may seem small, they may seem little,
- 13:14Speaker 4: but take advantage of them every chance I get. I'm
- 13:18Speaker 4: telling you, y'all, I'm taking advantage of it.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Shout out to Poetry in Motion.
- 13:26Speaker 4: I'm telling you because I have had an opportunity to
- 13:30Speaker 4: publish some of my poetry, y'all.
- 13:32Speaker 2: I didn't even think that.
- 13:33Speaker 4: I was never thought that my poetry would be being
- 13:38Speaker 4: selected to be in different books and different things.
- 13:41Speaker 2: I just write from experience. I just write from my heart.
- 13:44Speaker 4: I just write because there are things that are being
- 13:48Speaker 4: laid on my spirit that I want to get out.
- 13:50Speaker 4: And every time somebody say, Okay, we want to publish this,
- 13:55Speaker 4: we want this to be a part of something that
- 13:56Speaker 4: we're doing, y'all, it just opened the door for more things.
- 14:00Speaker 4: And every time I get an opportunity, know that I'm
- 14:03Speaker 4: gonna pass it down to you guys, because that's what
- 14:05Speaker 4: we do.
- 14:06Speaker 2: That's what we do over here.
- 14:07Speaker 4: That's fired an office magazine, the Crew podcast in South
- 14:11Speaker 4: Carolina Book Gap. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to
- 14:16Speaker 4: be able to work. Me and Patrice's been working together.
- 14:18Speaker 4: She has been a part of this magazine since the
- 14:21Speaker 4: magazine started. She is the director of book reviews, anything
- 14:27Speaker 4: got to do with books inside of the magazine.
- 14:30Speaker 2: She is that she's in charge of that. She does
- 14:33Speaker 2: book reviews.
- 14:34Speaker 4: She do author of the month she highlighted author of
- 14:38Speaker 4: the month. She do the the the reads what she
- 14:44Speaker 4: called it must reads the Musk read. Every month she
- 14:48Speaker 4: puts a list of books to read. And I tell you,
- 14:53Speaker 4: I truly enjoy working with her and having her part
- 14:59Speaker 4: of what we're doing. Y'all, don't let these opportunities pass
- 15:03Speaker 4: you by. Don't let these opportunities pass you by. Take
- 15:07Speaker 4: advantage of them. We have twelve slots every first and
- 15:15Speaker 4: third Saturday. So if you know that you want to
- 15:19Speaker 4: be a part of one of the months, go ahead
- 15:23Speaker 4: and secure your spot. They are first come, first served,
- 15:27Speaker 4: and once the twelve slots are booked, then I submitted
- 15:33Speaker 4: to the billboard and then they would give us our
- 15:35Speaker 4: time slot. So how it works is I know a
- 15:40Speaker 4: lot of us we have been We have been blessed
- 15:45Speaker 4: for the last three times to get six the sixth
- 15:51Speaker 4: minute on every hour. But the very last one on
- 15:54Speaker 4: April the eighteenth, we was the twenty seventh minute of
- 15:57Speaker 4: every hour. So every minute they're gonna tell you you get,
- 16:04Speaker 4: they'll tell you your time slide. It may be the
- 16:07Speaker 4: third minute of every hour, the twelfth minute of every hour,
- 16:11Speaker 4: whatever they tell you it's gonna be that every hour
- 16:14Speaker 4: from midnight until eleven, the eleven o'clock hour, so you
- 16:21Speaker 4: get an opportunity to be seen about twenty two times
- 16:24Speaker 4: throughout the day within a twenty four hour period. A
- 16:28Speaker 4: great opportunity, A great opportunity, A great opportunity. Again, if
- 16:35Speaker 4: you have any questions, and you can always email us
- 16:39Speaker 4: at Aspiring Authors A A A L A C at
- 16:44Speaker 4: gmail dot com. Again, that is Aspiring Authors A A
- 16:50Speaker 4: A L A c at gmail dot com. And or
- 16:56Speaker 4: you can direct message my set Angela Thomas Smith or
- 17:02Speaker 4: Patrice Grimball, South Carolina Book Gal. You can direct message
- 17:08Speaker 4: us and we definitely will get back to you. If
- 17:11Speaker 4: you know our email address, just email us. We will
- 17:14Speaker 4: get back y'all. We have so many opportunities for you
- 17:17Speaker 4: to get your brand out there, for you to share
- 17:19Speaker 4: your brand. We're gonna get back to doing virtual book showcase.
- 17:25Speaker 4: I gotten away from it because we were doing so
- 17:30Speaker 4: many other things, y'all. Twenty twenty seven, we're gonna get
- 17:33Speaker 4: back to getting out there. The Chasing your Dream Book
- 17:36Speaker 4: tour is going to be back and full of fat
- 17:39Speaker 4: in twenty twenty seven. We are looking for ambassadors that's
- 17:43Speaker 4: wanting to work with us to help bring us to
- 17:47Speaker 4: your city. We want to. What we do is we
- 17:52Speaker 4: bring authors and small business owners together and we highlight
- 17:57Speaker 4: we showcase your brand where you get a table you
- 17:59Speaker 4: can display your brands, your books, and we bring it
- 18:03Speaker 4: in speakers. We bring it in people that can host workshops,
- 18:07Speaker 4: people that can help you with branding, marketing, promoting different things,
- 18:15Speaker 4: how to come up with multiple screens or income from
- 18:20Speaker 4: your books and things like that. We've had individuals that
- 18:23Speaker 4: came in to talk about how to turn your book
- 18:25Speaker 4: into a play, how to turn your book into a movie,
- 18:28Speaker 4: just different things, y'all.
- 18:30Speaker 2: So we try to find people.
- 18:32Speaker 4: That are in that area, whatever area we're going to,
- 18:36Speaker 4: we try to tap into the local individuals that are
- 18:41Speaker 4: doing things in that area so that we can truly
- 18:44Speaker 4: connect that we can truly put your brands out there.
- 18:47Speaker 2: So again, opportunity, opportunity, opportunity, opportunity. Do not let these
- 18:54Speaker 2: opportunities pass you back. Again.
- 18:58Speaker 4: I am super lighted for all of the opportunities that
- 19:03Speaker 4: we are providing and putting out there. If you have
- 19:07Speaker 4: not had an opportunity to check out the magazine, y'all
- 19:10Speaker 4: can go over to blurb Aspiring Author's magazine and click
- 19:14Speaker 4: on the magazine and flip through the page and just
- 19:16Speaker 4: flip through.
- 19:18Speaker 2: It costs you nothing to flip through. You don't have
- 19:20Speaker 2: to leave a review.
- 19:20Speaker 4: You can just flip through and see what the magazine
- 19:23Speaker 4: look like. I'm gonna share with you guys, the magazine
- 19:29Speaker 4: for the Poetry Awareness magazine. I have a couple that
- 19:39Speaker 4: I'm gonna be So this is our poetry Awareness magazine
- 19:44Speaker 4: that dropped on April first, and Keisha McGray is our
- 19:53Speaker 4: poet of the Year.
- 19:56Speaker 2: And y'all, when I tell you quality, it ain't non.
- 20:03Speaker 2: It ain't known.
- 20:05Speaker 4: It's the paper. Quality is good. You can see what's
- 20:11Speaker 4: on the pages. The pictures are not blurred. You can
- 20:16Speaker 4: actually see.
- 20:18Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 20:20Speaker 4: If you have not taken the opportunity to check out
- 20:23Speaker 4: the magazine, I want you to check it out.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Go over to blurb. There's a link.
- 20:29Speaker 4: If you're checking me out on Facebook, there's a link
- 20:32Speaker 4: on Facebook where you can just look at it. But y'all,
- 20:37Speaker 4: this is an opportunity and it ain't no thin. It
- 20:42Speaker 4: ain't no thin magazine, y'all.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Every month. The magazine is about sixty to seventy pages.
- 20:50Speaker 4: It retails for thirty dollars, but when they first drop,
- 20:54Speaker 4: they're only twenty dollars, which is cost to print.
- 20:58Speaker 2: And usually it's like that for seven days.
- 21:00Speaker 4: So the first seven days you can get it for
- 21:03Speaker 4: cost to print, and sometimes they will allow us to
- 21:09Speaker 4: put it back up if they're not selling good or
- 21:13Speaker 4: if you want to run a promotion, they'll allow you
- 21:16Speaker 4: to put it back down at cost to print. So
- 21:19Speaker 4: if you did not get your copy, you can grab
- 21:22Speaker 4: your copy of this magazine for twenty dollars until Sunday.
- 21:29Speaker 4: The link is posted on my page, So y'all, grab
- 21:32Speaker 4: you a copy and allow your brand, allow people to
- 21:38Speaker 4: see your brain.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Y'all can put this on your coffee table, and it
- 21:42Speaker 2: can be a conversation piece, a conversation piece, y'all. What
- 21:51Speaker 2: else I got for y'all? I think that's it. Oh,
- 21:56Speaker 2: women are worse.
- 21:57Speaker 4: If you know a woman that is the deserving a recognization, y'all,
- 22:02Speaker 4: We're gonna be giving out.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Fourteen awards in December. We're going to be highlighting these women.
- 22:10Speaker 4: These women have Oh I'll tell you, I have come
- 22:12Speaker 4: across so many amazing women that testimonies are amazing. We
- 22:18Speaker 4: have an opportunity to highlight them to allow people to
- 22:22Speaker 4: know who they are on, what they what they stand for,
- 22:26Speaker 4: and the journey that they have been on in the
- 22:29Speaker 4: lane that they're in, because everybody has their own different walk.
- 22:33Speaker 4: But I'm excited. We are working on the event. We
- 22:39Speaker 4: haven't decided if it's going to be virtual or if
- 22:42Speaker 4: it's going to be in person.
- 22:45Speaker 2: If we garner enough.
- 22:50Speaker 4: Awareness and attention and the requests, we definitely will love
- 22:56Speaker 4: to do it in person. It will be here in
- 22:58Speaker 4: Murder Beach December the fifth. Otherwise we will be doing
- 23:04Speaker 4: it virtually, but you will get an opportunity to We'll
- 23:09Speaker 4: let you guys know. Hopefully we'll have it solidified by Algus.
- 23:13Speaker 4: So if you're planning to travel, you'll have plenty enough
- 23:16Speaker 4: time to plan your travel. You have August, September, October,
- 23:20Speaker 4: November to get your traveling arrangements together. And still you
- 23:25Speaker 4: have now until August. It's April, so you got May, June, July.
- 23:30Speaker 4: We got about four more months and then we will
- 23:34Speaker 4: be announcing if it's going to be virtually or here
- 23:37Speaker 4: at Murder Beach. But meanwhile, y'all go ahead and keep
- 23:41Speaker 4: those nominations coming in. If you know a deserving woman
- 23:47Speaker 4: that needs to be recognized for her work. Go ahead
