Speaker 1: All right, here we go.
• 1:51
Speaker 1: I'm not taking any orders from no 24-year-old God.
• 2:03
Speaker 1: She's not born yet.
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: Guys.
• 2:13
Speaker 3: Oh, if I was too though I was 70.
• 2:15
  Speaker 1: What is he?
• 2:15
  Speaker 1: 74, 73, 73.
• 2:16
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's gross, that's just weird.
• 2:17
Speaker 1: I always like to try to imagine, like, what bulb coach bobby bowden had.
• 2:21
Speaker 1: Like you know and bowden, but what if oldden at the end of his career?
• 2:25
Speaker 3: What if he was out there?
• 2:26
  Speaker 2: tom chatting yeah.
• 2:28
Speaker 1: I mean just like how.
• 2:31
  Speaker 3: That's weird.
• 2:31
  Speaker 3: She'd be southern.
• 2:33
Speaker 3: She'd be blonde, did you?
• 2:34
Speaker 1: hear what old Mack Brown had to say.
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: I did I read it.
• 2:40
  Speaker 3: Why don't?
• 2:41
Speaker 1: you, tell us, tell you.
• 2:43
Speaker 1: I don't have the quote on it, but he's a little bit sour.
• 2:50
Speaker 1: I would say, yeah, he's whining again, man.
• 2:52
Speaker 1: He's like well, you know they're letting anybody in lowering the academic standards, putting money into it.
• 3:02
Speaker 1: I don't think he wanted to retire.
• 3:05
Speaker 1: They went a younger direction in the form of months.
• 3:12
Speaker 2: Right like eight months.
• 3:16
Speaker 3: Maybe that's why he's out there.
• 3:19
Speaker 1: Apparently this girlfriend wants control of things.
• 3:22
  Speaker 1: This.
• 3:23
Speaker 3: Jordan yeah, it's a train wreck, man, the whole thing.
• 3:26
Speaker 3: She wants to run the show.
• 3:31
Speaker 1: I love it because you don't think it's going to work.
• 3:35
  Speaker 3: No, God no.
• 3:38
  Speaker 1: How could it?
• 3:39
Speaker 1: What do you think there, Justin?
• 3:43
Speaker 2: How, in God's name, can Mack Brown bitch about academic standards when he coached in Texas?
• 3:48
Speaker 2: Right, oh, yeah, yeah, no, I don't think it's going to work either, dude.
• 3:55
Speaker 2: I think this is going to blow up in Belichick and North Carolina's face Because, dude, if you're a 24-year-old transfer portal senior and you see a girl that you could have picked up in the student union, and took home to your dorm room that night guiding your head coach around by the balls.
• 4:20
Speaker 2: How in the hell can you respect what that coach is saying when you're like you're pussy whipped by a B-squad cheerleader that I banged last weekend?
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: All right well.
• 4:34
Speaker 2: And also fuck Belichick, because I'm the Dolphins, yeah just kind of creepy man.
• 4:40
Speaker 3: I mean that's yeah, number one.
• 4:42
  Speaker 3: It's creepy, it's gross.
• 4:43
Speaker 3: Her dad is 49 years old yeah, so it's creepy, it's gross, her dad is 49 years old yeah, so it's just yeah.
• 4:48
Speaker 3: But I think Belichick also Probably teetering on the edge of you know a little bit of some senility there and just being a horny old man, but also really looking at the NFL Doesn't really give a shit about this UNC job, nobody in the NFL is going to.
• 5:05
Speaker 1: Nobody's gonna get nobody.
• 5:06
Speaker 2: He's done after this, yeah, after this, yeah you can't be pussy with like a 15 year old high school guy and expect to command any respect from a locker room full of grown-ass men let's see.
• 5:17
Speaker 1: But if he, what did they come out and win though?
• 5:20
Speaker 2: they won't because winning solves everything.
• 5:22
Speaker 1: That's the ultimate deodorant for everything but yeah, you're putting a lot the exit.
• 5:28
Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna have to do a lot of winning right this is what happens.
• 5:33
Speaker 2: They get, let's say, best case scenario for north carolina.
• 5:36
Speaker 2: They come out, they win the acc.
• 5:37
Speaker 2: Jordan gets a job offer yeah she gets the job offer, because everybody knows she's running the show.
• 5:47
Speaker 2: She's running the show, it's Coach.
• 5:48
Speaker 3: Jordan, like that's insane.
• 5:51
  Speaker 3: It really is.
• 5:53
  Speaker 3: That's the offseason.
• 5:54
Speaker 3: She's telling people they're engaged apparently.
• 5:56
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's like what I read and so like once she becomes Jordan Charity events.
• 6:00
Speaker 3: Yeah, once she becomes Jordan Belichick Check.
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: Cheek events.
• 6:07
Speaker 1: Yeah, once she becomes jordan belichick, check cheeky, that's grandpa man.
• 6:09
Speaker 1: She's dating grandpa, all right, well, uh, there you go.
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: There's your off-season.
• 6:12
Speaker 1: We're making a lot of unfair assumptions too.
• 6:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what happened.
• 6:18
Speaker 1: Whatever I mean you're, you know what she's winning this coach and but you don't want to retire.
• 6:23
Speaker 1: This is what you're coming back to do right, I mean you're kind of asking for it, I think you want to talk about assumptions?
• 6:30
  Speaker 2: here's a.
• 6:30
Speaker 2: Here's a deep dive assumption for you.
• 6:32
Speaker 2: It's stock market manipulation and belichick bought a shit ton of viagra stock right before he announced his relationship with jordan.
• 6:41
Speaker 3: There you go yeah, I like it.
• 6:44
  Speaker 3: I like it.
• 6:45
Speaker 3: He's that shrewd though I mean he would anyway all right.
• 6:50
Speaker 1: Well, the shit's gross anyway, enough viagra, talk right um as we speak as this going on the uh end of the season, conference tournaments are happening in college baseball.
• 7:02
Speaker 1: Nothing really big going on there, I would say.
• 7:04
Speaker 1: I mean georgia tech ends up winning the regular season by uh, you know, winning percentage yeah, they got the, they got the one c they don't they got housed by unc at home.
• 7:17
Speaker 1: Big win on sunday, though, to get salvage one and uh get, I think, what will be a national seed.
• 7:25
Speaker 1: We'll find out probably what this next week, once the conference tournaments are over yeah um some big losses baseball tournaments are stupid yeah, it's gonna the only thing I like about they did switch it to where it's just gonna be a simple kind of like, just like the basketball, does it Get some buys?
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: Yeah, single elimination.
• 7:46
Speaker 1: Which, if anyone knows baseball and if you look at the way this conference has been played, even the worst teams in SEC and the ACC I mean aside from like one or two teams in the SEC, but everybody can beat anybody.
• 8:00
Speaker 3: Well, dude, cal's the worst team in the ACC and they just knocked Miami and Wake Forest out.
• 8:05
Speaker 3: Right, they're still alive.
• 8:07
Speaker 1: Tournament is just that's what I was saying Cal's in last place, but they have like 10 wins Right, and they shut out Florida State and they're like they can still win one out of three.
• 8:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's basically, and that could be in a single elimination tournament.
• 8:20
Speaker 1: A team like Cal could have this huge for them.
• 8:22
Speaker 1: I like it in the fact where it gives teams a chance that are out of it Right, and in baseball you can get hot at the right time.
• 8:32
Speaker 3: There's going to be a team that wins it and there's an incentive there for Cal, because if they win it they go to the postseason, Exactly.
• 8:38
Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying If not, it's over.
• 8:40
Speaker 1: And not even just Cal, the teams that are on the bubble or know that they're not going to make it.
• 8:47
Speaker 3: Yeah well, Miami's probably going to get in.
• 8:48
  Speaker 3: Yeah, they're in.
• 8:48
Speaker 3: They're hot streak that put them in.
• 8:50
Speaker 1: But still, it would probably give them a regional if they were able to win the tournament.
• 8:55
Speaker 2: maybe yeah, it wouldn't hurt.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: I think it makes it more fun to watch now, in terms of being fair, I guess, but who cares?
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: Anyway, it's a postseason tournament.
• 9:07
Speaker 1: I think you've got to take it for what it is.
• 9:09
Speaker 3: In an instance like Cal, it calls into question like how big of an impact was the week-to-week travel on their team?
• 9:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, If they're out there playing a West Coast schedule, would they have had a resume?
• 9:21
Speaker 3: That would have got them into the postseason as opposed to back and forth pretty much every other week.
• 9:28
Speaker 1: Well, it gives them a shot.
• 9:29
Speaker 1: It gives them a shot, it gives that chance, like NC State did in the ACC tournament basketball just a couple years ago.
• 9:37
  Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
• 9:38
Speaker 1: So I like that element to it.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: We'll find out what happens after.
• 9:44
Speaker 3: If you're a team that's already in the postseason, though, that feels good about it these conferences really are pretty stupid.
• 9:50
Speaker 1: Do you think Florida State will get a national seed?
• 9:54
Speaker 3: I think they will.
• 9:55
Speaker 3: I think winning one game against North Carolina kept it close, I think, hauser being the stadium that it is is also a big deal.
• 10:04
Speaker 3: I think those are your two national seeds from the ACC.
• 10:06
Speaker 1: Clemson watch out, though, no.
• 10:08
Speaker 3: I think Clemson played their way out of it.
• 10:10
Speaker 1: Oh, they didn't fare well this weekend.
• 10:12
Speaker 3: No, I mean they're going right now, but I don't think it matters in the tournament.
• 10:15
Speaker 3: I think they got the national seeds going into the conference tournaments.
• 10:19
Speaker 1: Those will be big to watch out.
• 10:21
Speaker 1: We'll see all that, but in the NBA it's heating up.
• 10:26
Speaker 1: We got the Western Conference Finals.
• 10:28
Speaker 1: The OKC Thunder too much for the T-Wolves in Game 1.
• 10:34
Speaker 1: Eastern Conference Finals will kick off tonight.
• 10:38
Speaker 3: We're doing this show Old school flashback man Pacers Knicks.
• 10:41
Speaker 1: What's fun about this is you really don't know.
• 10:44
Speaker 1: You know Right, you really don't know what's going to happen.
• 10:47
  Speaker 3: I like that.
• 10:48
Speaker 3: Both these teams got some stank to them.
• 10:50
  Speaker 3: Some attitude Right.
• 10:55
Speaker 1: I don't know how this series is going to go.
• 10:56
Speaker 1: The Knicks Pacers I know that you guys like the Pacers right.
• 11:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I'm just going with the Pacers.
• 11:03
Speaker 3: I don't really know either way, I'm just going with the Pacers.
• 11:04
Speaker 3: I don't really know either way, I'm just I'm not picking the Knicks.
• 11:05
Speaker 3: It's going to be a fun series.
• 11:07
Speaker 1: I'm intrigued by it.
• 11:08
Speaker 1: It's something the NBA really hasn't had in a while.
• 11:11
Speaker 1: You know, it's usually some, especially all those years when you had the Warriors-Cavs matchups, where you would always and then last year you kind of knew Boston was going to get through it and it would have both of them not in it and we'll just have like, hey, this is the pacers or the the knicks, both fan bases are hungry, you know, like the knicks fans.
• 11:32
Speaker 3: Oh my god, dude, they have because they haven't won right.
• 11:35
Speaker 2: They haven't won since 1973 bill jackson was like they're starting power, right dude?
• 11:41
Speaker 2: I mean like they haven't like.
• 11:43
Speaker 1: This is the mecca, like everyone says.
• 11:45
Speaker 1: You know the, the knicks.
• 11:46
Speaker 1: This would be huge.
• 11:48
Speaker 1: But I mean, what better rival to come in?
• 11:51
Speaker 1: Uh, reminiscent of back in reggie miller when he battled the knicks in the 90s.
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: It's going to be a.
• 11:57
Speaker 1: It's going to be a dog fight.
• 11:59
Speaker 1: Rick carlisle, coach of the pacers, tom t Thibodeau, coach of the.
• 12:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, jj Breyer's championship coach there it is.
• 12:08
Speaker 1: You got Tom Thibodeau of the Knicks.
• 12:10
Speaker 1: This is going to be a dogfight.
• 12:12
Speaker 1: It starts in New York tonight.
• 12:14
Speaker 1: Goodness man, I I don't know how I'm gonna pick this series.
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: I really don't.
• 12:19
Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna go with the next it's a toss.
• 12:23
Speaker 2: It really is a toss-up series.
• 12:25
Speaker 2: Um, like the, the way both teams play, like like y'all were saying and it should, we said at the beginning of the playoff run for both teams, these are like throwback style.
• 12:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, 90s basketball teams well, it's kind of it's a throwback.
• 12:37
  Speaker 2: 90s basketball team.
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: And it's a throwback 90s rivalry.
• 12:42
Speaker 2: I mean what's not to love if you're a 90s kid like we are?
• 12:45
Speaker 2: Man, I mean this is Reggie Miller versus John Starks and Patrick Ewing Spike Lee, with the choke sign on the sideline the greatest nine seconds in NBA history, with Reggie Miller against me.
• 12:57
Speaker 2: Like what's not to love about this?
• 13:00
  Speaker 1: shit, the headbutt.
• 13:00
Speaker 1: The garden is going to be holistic tonight.
• 13:04
Speaker 1: You got two superstar, I would say, two really good players, halliburton and then Brunson.
• 13:10
Speaker 1: That matchup is going to be great Both teams.
• 13:13
Speaker 1: They didn't credit to the Knicks, credit to the Pacers for not giving up on the team.
• 13:21
Speaker 1: A lot of teams trade and try to get some big move.
• 13:24
Speaker 1: They just got better and added maybe a development.
• 13:29
Speaker 1: It's a good thing to see.
• 13:34
Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to it.
• 13:36
Speaker 1: In the West, though, okc was way too much for Minnesota.
• 13:39
Speaker 1: I'm rooting for the Timberwolves.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: I'm betting forward to it.
• 13:42
Speaker 1: In the West, though, okc was way too much for Minnesota.
• 13:42
Speaker 1: I'm rooting for the Timberwolves.
• 13:43
Speaker 1: I'm betting on the Thunder.
• 13:44
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how I would say that one, but it played out as much.
• 13:51
Speaker 2: Especially last night after Edwards rolled his ankle.
• 13:54
Speaker 2: What was it In the third?
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: quarter, yeah.
• 13:57
Speaker 1: If they don't, yeah, it's not a serious injury, but still, like any, any little hiccup at this level yeah yeah it's just so many guys that okc has like, even when you say the mvp I, I would would not be surprised if they could win the series without him.
• 14:15
Speaker 1: That's how, that's how deep that that team is and they have, and they have, and they play defense yeah.
• 14:20
Speaker 2: They play defense man.
• 14:22
Speaker 2: That's one thing that you know has been lost over the past.
• 14:25
Speaker 2: What 15 years, really?
• 14:27
Speaker 2: Since the Pistons in the early 2000s, man Defense has not been a thing.
• 14:32
Speaker 1: Well, I like the four teams.
• 14:35
Speaker 1: I like that it's getting back.
• 14:36
  Speaker 1: There's so many.
• 14:37
Speaker 1: You know, when they wanted to grow the league they wanted to look at, you know, look at the individual, look at the individual, but it should be about the team and even in, I like even mj was saying that, when you talk about the greatest ever, should be like who's the great, what's the greatest team ever?
• 14:51
  Speaker 1: So?
• 14:52
Speaker 1: Like, if you want to compare players and all that, but how about comparing the greatest teams?
• 14:57
Speaker 2: so I like that well, and we'll save that for what you got and uh and yeah, I was saying uh along with what jordan was saying.
• 15:05
Speaker 2: Jordan knows firsthand how that is, because he was dropping 60 and getting swept in the first round by larry bird and the celtics until he got a team around exactly, yeah.
• 15:15
Speaker 1: So it's about how good you can get, how good you can make your team.
• 15:21
Speaker 1: If you want to talk about that, so I get.
• 15:23
  Speaker 1: What is?
• 15:23
Speaker 1: I like that argument when it was brought up to him when I guess that was when he asked with all this lebron, mj kobe, all this stuff about, and you look about, I look at the bulls teams better than any lebron.
• 15:38
Speaker 1: Maybe the Heat teams could hang with them.
• 15:41
Speaker 1: That would be fun to watch.
• 15:44
  Speaker 2: The Heat dude.
• 15:45
Speaker 2: This is your Miami guy here.
• 15:47
Speaker 2: Dude, those Heat teams would have got boat raced by the 98 Bulls.
• 15:52
Speaker 1: Yeah, All right, well what?
• 15:53
Speaker 3: about Speaking of MVP.
• 15:56
Speaker 3: It's announced tonight it's going to be Sage.
• 15:59
Speaker 1: Yield or Sal Alexander, you think it's?
• 15:59
Speaker 1: I mean, I think you could give it's.
• 15:59
Speaker 1: Announced tonight it's going to be Sage Yildiz Alexander, you think it's shot?
• 16:01
Speaker 1: I mean, I think you could give it to the Joker.
• 16:04
Speaker 1: I mean he averaged another triple-double, If you really want to say hey, the most valuable damn player, it's the Joker.
• 16:12
Speaker 1: You take him off the Nuggets.
• 16:14
Speaker 1: They suck Like they're terrible.
• 16:17
Speaker 3: You take Sage Yildiz Alexander off the Thunder they could still win the series and go to the finals.
• 16:22
Speaker 3: But it's recency bias, man.
• 16:23
Speaker 3: You've already seen them do it yeah they've seen them do it.
• 16:25
Speaker 1: You're giving it to the best player on the best team with the best record.
• 16:29
  Speaker 3: It's his time.
• 16:30
Speaker 3: So it's between those two.
• 16:31
Speaker 3: You don't think Giannis has a chance?
• 16:33
Speaker 1: No, I think that it's going to go to say Gildress Alexander, he'll get the vote, but I see some people voting for the Joker just because he is.
• 16:44
Speaker 1: It's kind of like one of those things where MJ could have had it all those years where they gave it to Collar Malone or they gave it to Charles Barkley.
• 16:51
Speaker 3: At this point, it's not an MVP.
• 16:53
Speaker 3: It's what's going to make you a Hall of Famer, so that'll be your reward.
• 16:57
  Speaker 1: You keep consistency.
• 16:58
  Speaker 3: It's a regular season award.
• 16:59
Speaker 1: Yeah, and NBA is a postseason the NBA playoffs.
• 17:04
Speaker 1: They should come up with a most valuable player in the playoffs.
• 17:08
Speaker 1: I guess that goes to the final whatever, but they need to have, don't?
• 17:11
Speaker 1: They have that in hockey.
• 17:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like the cons might.
• 17:14
Speaker 1: Yeah, I like that.
• 17:15
Speaker 1: They should have something like that in basketball.
• 17:17
Speaker 1: You know, I think that's more of.
• 17:22
Speaker 1: I'd like to give that, that's more of a chance of who was the best when the best players were playing their best players with, you know, actually trying with all.
• 17:31
Speaker 3: The best of the best of the best you know.
• 17:34
  Speaker 2: And the strategy.
• 17:35
Speaker 2: I mean there's such a big difference in the way the game is played when you get to the playoffs, because it's one day off same team, One day off same team.
• 17:44
Speaker 2: It really comes down to coaching and the guys that are going to step it up when they are being specifically targeted with a game plan against them.
• 17:53
  Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
• 17:55
Speaker 2: So a playoff MVP would carry so much more weight, in my opinion than a regular season MVP.
• 18:00
  Speaker 2: I agree.
• 18:00
Speaker 2: Everybody just goes out there and does their own thing.
• 18:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, you can start it right here.
• 18:06
  Speaker 1: We did it.
• 18:07
Speaker 1: We're going to change that, and then we're going to get rid of the lottery and we're going to make the end of the regular season a battle for another kind of like.
• 18:18
Speaker 1: We'll call that another tournament, and that's going to be the battle for another kind of like.
• 18:21
Speaker 1: We'll call that another tournament and that's going to be the battle for the number one pick, and it will be actually yeah.
• 18:26
Speaker 2: By abolishing the conferences.
• 18:27
Speaker 1: I mean, can you imagine, though, Like think about that, Like you have Cooper Flagg on the line here and it's like teams playing for it.
• 18:34
  Speaker 1: I mean, I think that's.
• 18:35
Speaker 1: It's like what the Heat did.
• 18:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's another level.
• 18:40
Speaker 1: I think it's something that would change the game in a way that no other sport has done.
• 18:46
Speaker 1: I think they should jump into something like that.
• 18:48
Speaker 1: I think it's a good idea, you couldn't do it in football.
• 18:52
Speaker 1: You could never do it in football because of the physicality of it, but basketball you could do it and there's too many games and too much just like resting and sitting out and all that.
• 19:03
Speaker 1: I mean it would just bring such a level of intrigue for teams, for every team in the league, throughout the season and that brings value to your ticket at the stand, when that's what really matters really is you're going to take kids a game and you get the game and kind of get the july baseball feel out of the nba yeah yeah, it's like I mean, like baseball should could actually do something where, like they, they could do something draft wise, it would make it just have something intrigued, especially when you have like a phenom of a prospect out, out for yeah, but baseball does like 25 rounds.
• 19:39
Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, basketball's the one to do it.
• 19:43
Speaker 2: And you're going to boost TV ratings, because now, when you're stuck with that crappy game, all of a sudden it's the game for Cooper Flagg, right right.
• 19:52
Speaker 2: You know, and it's two shit-ass teams playing each other.
• 19:55
Speaker 2: But now you want to see they're going to be playing super hard and they're going to be playing for something Right, and they're going to be playing for something.
• 20:00
Speaker 2: I mean, you suck still, but you're playing for the next LeBron, the next Giannis, right?
• 20:04
Speaker 2: You're going head-to-head for it, right.
• 20:07
Speaker 2: It would be so much better way to end the season.
• 20:11
Speaker 1: Man, I'm getting excited just talking about it, man.
• 20:14
Speaker 3: Yeah, hell yeah, hell yeah.
• 20:23
Speaker 2: Ah, oh man what.
• 20:24
  Speaker 3: Portal Combat.
• 20:28
Speaker 1: That's what it is.
• 20:28
Speaker 1: That's what the sport is.
• 20:32
Speaker 1: It's Portal Combat Portal.
• 20:34
  Speaker 1: Portal portal.
• 20:35
Speaker 1: Just wanted to bring up Florida.
• 20:37
Speaker 1: Got the best player in the portal in basketball Best remaining player.
• 20:49
Speaker 1: They got what's the name of?
• 20:49
Speaker 1: Boogie boogie from the bronx, boogie plans, the guy bringing boogie from the bronx man, he's gonna be good maybe.
• 20:53
  Speaker 1: I mean yeah, but it's just I.
• 20:55
Speaker 3: I, whatever he wasn't that good last year.
• 20:57
Speaker 1: yeah, he's all right, he's, he was alright, he was a freshman Dude.
• 21:03
Speaker 3: We don't need to be worrying about Florida basketball as FSU fans.
• 21:05
Speaker 3: Two different leagues, man, that's true.
• 21:08
Speaker 3: Two different classes right now.
• 21:11
Speaker 1: Well, it's just a portal combat and it's a game where recruiting doesn't matter.
• 21:16
Speaker 1: It's all about the checkbook and I would feel good if I was a Miami fan, because you're paying.
• 21:24
  Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, but it's, I mean, it's it.
• 21:27
Speaker 1: You're paying this that recruit we talked about.
• 21:30
Speaker 1: He's making more than the first pick of the second round.
• 21:33
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why Quinn Ewers was dumb to go into the draft Right.
• 21:38
Speaker 1: yeah, I think you're correct on that.
• 21:39
Speaker 2: He's going to make a couple hundred grand.
• 21:42
Speaker 1: I mean, he's going to be real class down in Miami, cam Ward this last year.
• 21:44
Speaker 1: That was a bit.
• 21:46
Speaker 2: He made himself $20 million.
• 21:48
  Speaker 2: Oh yeah, easy.
• 21:49
Speaker 1: Even if he wouldn't have like, had a great season and been the number one pick.
• 21:53
Speaker 1: It would have been more beneficial to come back to mind at that.
• 21:56
Speaker 1: The way you, the money you can make in the nil game, is changing the game there well he.
• 22:03
Speaker 1: He was out of eligibility no, you have the first pick in the second round.
• 22:07
Speaker 1: Right, making less money than a kid who is a senior in high school?
• 22:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, that's that.
• 22:16
  Speaker 1: That is.
• 22:16
Speaker 1: That is that's changing.
• 22:20
Speaker 3: There's, I would say, hundreds of players.
• 22:24
Speaker 1: But there's no agreement, there's no salary cap, there's no structure.
• 22:26
Speaker 1: So what's going to happen?
• 22:31
Speaker 2: It's just going to keep going up.
• 22:32
Speaker 2: Right Now, the market corrects itself.
• 22:33
Speaker 3: My man yeah it'll eventually bust and correct itself.
• 22:36
Speaker 1: But not in what, though?
• 22:38
Speaker 1: It'll correct it to a high, to where it's still high.
• 22:43
  Speaker 2: I just don't like it.
• 22:44
Speaker 2: It's what you can command on the market, what your skill set commands.
• 22:48
Speaker 2: Bro, this is economics.
• 22:51
Speaker 1: Oh, I understand that as a player, and that's what the battles between the player and the league and what the league is is a bunch of universities now that are going to form together based on just the agreement that we don't want to have to pay these players.
• 23:08
Speaker 1: So it's actually the only motivation that there might ever have to maybe coming up with a solution, because they're not going to be able to do it by a conference at a time or, or a school at a time there's no more going to have to make a lead to because they're not going to be able to do it by a conference at a time or or a school at a time.
• 23:21
Speaker 3: There's no more going.
• 23:22
Speaker 3: You have to make a league to where we're not paying players.
• 23:24
Speaker 2: That's oh, I know that but to where?
• 23:26
Speaker 1: you put a cap on it right and something that the nfl has a structure salary cap, because in the end, you're going to lose fans.
• 23:35
Speaker 1: You're going to lose fans because, I'm just telling you right now, your fans are going to be like who cares?
• 23:42
Speaker 1: We don't have a chance to beat this team anyway.
• 23:44
Speaker 1: Have you looked at the the like, what the rosters are like?
• 23:48
  Speaker 1: It's coming.
• 23:49
Speaker 1: What's the point of investing?
• 23:51
Speaker 2: we didn't have that.
• 23:52
Speaker 1: But now you have it though now you know, but it was under the table you had.
• 23:55
Speaker 2: That I'm just saying at on the surface you never had it like that Did Vanderbilt ever think they stood a chance in the SEC?
• 24:03
  Speaker 1: No, no but.
• 24:05
Speaker 2: No, dude, this is just a different form of unfair that allows other people that don't have a booster base of 30 million freaking people.
• 24:14
Speaker 2: That gives other smaller schools a chance that they can raise some money and get a good player in.
• 24:19
Speaker 2: It's a way better system than the unfair system we had before.
• 24:23
Speaker 1: There's two unfair systems.
• 24:24
Speaker 1: No, no, no, I didn't say that.
• 24:25
Speaker 1: I'm not comparing it to that.
• 24:26
Speaker 1: I'm not trying to go backwards.
• 24:30
Speaker 1: I'm saying are we going to stop tiptoeing around it and make it like a professional league and actually have like where you, where it benefits you from making the right moves, instead of just keep?
• 24:45
Speaker 1: You can make mistakes over and over and over again and just throw money, money, money, and it kind of takes the essence of the competing part out of it.
• 24:54
Speaker 1: That's what I'm arguing, I think we always had that problem.
• 24:59
Speaker 2: I mean how many, right.
• 25:01
Speaker 1: But now that it's- yeah, but now that it's all like legal, you're gonna have like I'm just saying that that's gonna be the fight.
• 25:08
Speaker 1: I'm sure they're talking about it right now like they're.
• 25:11
Speaker 1: But I just don't, we can't but they're saying well, we put a salary cap on it.
• 25:16
Speaker 1: Well, because some player is going to sue and or some someone's going to be like that's not fair, you can't do that.
• 25:21
Speaker 1: And then schools don't want to waste money battling that issue in court, so that's why they're going to have to form together in some sort of league and try to do it that way, where it's like well, you can't go anywhere else, I guess you can go to the NFL if you're good enough.
• 25:39
Speaker 3: No, you can go play at Vanderbilt Right, because Vanderbilt won't be in that kind of league.
• 25:43
Speaker 3: It will be the schools and the programs that can sustain that.
• 25:47
  Speaker 2: It's coming, it's coming.
• 25:49
Speaker 2: It's the only way it can work Right.
• 25:51
Speaker 2: What else is coming?
• 25:54
Speaker 2: It's going to be a different version of the power five.
• 25:56
  Speaker 2: Quote, unquote.
• 25:57
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be the same type system uh, what?
• 25:59
Speaker 3: oh, I mean, it was always, it was always people just spending whoever spent the most money, yeah well, we got an arms race for decades go or rides here.
• 26:11
Speaker 1: Oh, you hear it, there he is, he's coming, hey all right, I'll be all right.
• 26:17
Speaker 3: Well, they didn't ban the Tush Push.
• 26:19
Speaker 3: Oh, we knew that, brotherly show, they didn't.
• 26:23
  Speaker 3: They did not.
• 26:24
Speaker 3: Wow, they didn't get enough votes.
• 26:26
Speaker 3: Yeah, they shouldn't ban it.
• 26:28
Speaker 3: I was torn on that.
• 26:29
Speaker 3: No, I don't want them to ban it until they try my idea.
• 26:31
  Speaker 3: What Front?
• 26:32
Speaker 3: Seven of 350-pound linemen Collapsing on it.
• 26:37
Speaker 1: What was the vote?
• 26:38
Speaker 1: I don't know, but it didn't get enough.
• 26:41
Speaker 1: Huh, didn't get enough, wow.
• 26:48
Speaker 3: Well, Matt LeFleur was the one that brought it up.
• 26:49
Speaker 3: Yeah, well, he's an idiot.
• 26:52
Speaker 1: Good coach, like why doesn't everybody do it?
• 26:54
Speaker 1: You know like that's a great argument, even though I don't like the play.
• 26:59
Speaker 1: But the best argument it has is like why doesn't everybody do it?
• 27:03
Speaker 1: And you saw it last year with the Bills game.
• 27:06
Speaker 1: If the Bills knew how to, they couldn't do it.
• 27:10
Speaker 1: They might have had the best team in the league, but they couldn't get a damn foot when they had to multiple times.
• 27:16
Speaker 1: So the Eagles have perfected it and they've drafted for it.
• 27:22
  Speaker 1: They've practiced that.
• 27:23
  Speaker 1: So I don't like it.
• 27:27
Speaker 3: But They've designed it to fit their QB's skills.
• 27:31
  Speaker 1: Right, but I don't think it's.
• 27:32
Speaker 1: I think pushing somebody, though, I think coming from behind as the running back and pushing the quarterback is not football Well, at one time that I think coming from behind, as the running back and pushing the quarterback, is not football.
• 27:41
Speaker 3: Well, at one time that was a penalty to assist the runner.
• 27:45
  Speaker 3: It should be.
• 27:46
Speaker 1: It's Reggie Bush at Notre Dame.
• 27:47
Speaker 1: It was right up until Reggie Bush.
• 27:50
Speaker 3: Yeah, the old push-push man.
• 27:52
  Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's just, it's rugby.
• 27:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's rugby, I mean it's just the defense, stops them.
• 28:01
Speaker 3: And then the guy's like nope, I'm going to climb over somebody.
• 28:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's why you keep driving your legs, man.
• 28:09
Speaker 3: So my thing is what if we start getting back yeah, a little faster.
• 28:13
Speaker 1: You got to stop them from getting down there and you got to outscore them.
• 28:16
Speaker 2: Get lower, yeah you get lower and drive your legs.
• 28:20
Speaker 1: We'll see what uh we'll find somebody bucks can do and they drafted you know the gators like massive sumo wrestler.
• 28:26
Speaker 1: Right, I got some sumo wrestlers out there.
• 28:29
Speaker 3: You stick him in the in the nose and then line up like three or four more defensive tackles.
• 28:34
Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, a couple guards back there watch where they put the seeds the regional hosts, super regional hosts.
• 28:41
Speaker 1: We'll see the NBA playoffs.
• 28:42
Speaker 1: We'll react to it all.
• 28:53
Speaker 3: And we'll talk to you next time right here on the North Florida Sports Network.
