- 5:16[SPEAKER_07]: And, um, supposed to rain a bit more later today, I believe.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, well, what do we got going on?
- 5:26[SPEAKER_07]: There's the, um, oh boy, a lot of different things.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_07]: You know how in Maine are you any mayors here?
- 5:36[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that was an interesting, uh, speech from Mr. Platner last night.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_07]: I thought it,
- 5:43[SPEAKER_07]: I hadn't heard him speak before I thought he did, you know, excellent speaking well written.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_07]: It was, it was progressive red meat, but Doughwood and the liked it, but it was well done.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_07]: And he got over 70% of the vote in that Democratic primary.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_07]: I think he's going to win that seat.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_07]: I think Susan Collins, 30 years, been there long enough.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_07]: Nice lady, but
- 6:15[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, let's see.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_07]: Somebody just texted me in that whose blakeman's wife is a Supreme Court justice in New York.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_07]: That's nice.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_07]: He did I eat it all right, man.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_07]: She's, oh, look at everything else, trophy wife.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_07]: Got the job, the education, the looks, everything.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_07]: Just so he's not gonna get to move her in on Eagle Street.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_07]: Sorry, 755, 1240, the phone number, if you'd like to, I give us a call.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_07]: And I started a call, I think it was a TU where one of those papers from Chris Churchill, a political correspondent on the Constantino Smullen Race.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_07]: talking about the handshake and whether it means anything and all of that apparently it's become quite the subject of chatter on Facebook and over on eastern side of the district.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_07]: It's kind of one of those things that never really made it pass the news gatekeepers here.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_07]: But that's an interesting race and really the ones who are on the bubble here are state republicans here at Cox and all of these county chairs, Mr. Coon, Mr. Young, Nancy,
- 7:31[SPEAKER_07]: all these county committee people as they've all just about all of them back to small and but the bedding uh... all the bedding apps say that does an 80% chance that constant in a wins but after noon here on the air uh... mayor on the boarding yeah what's the difference between a male and ballot and an absentee ballot is any difference yes and absentee ballot as such we have here is something you request
- 8:00[SPEAKER_07]: of used to be had to have a reason like illness, vacation, work, or whatever.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_07]: Now you don't have to, you can just request one, and then they send it to you.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_07]: You have to fill out and sign an application.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_07]: Mailing ballots are when every registered voter in the constituency is mail the ballot.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_07]: For instance, I was talking to a gentleman this morning who lives out in the Feltz mills area.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_07]: uh... eleven years ago moved here from california he still get some a ballot in the mail now he doesn't vote it or anything but they still keep sending it to them and those things can be harvested by political operatives and it does lend itself not to i'm not saying fraud or corruption but it lands itself to opportunism body explained california well uh...
- 8:52[SPEAKER_08]: taking that long to get a final result, I don't agree with mail-in ballots.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_08]: If you can't make it to the polling place that you're proud of.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_08]: If you're in the military, I've got no problem with the military voting apps here.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_08]: If you're out of the country, you're in the military, I've got no problem.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_08]: If you're in a nursing home, no problem.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_08]: If you're just too lazy if you go to the polls on election day, that's a problem.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_08]: When I was, my parents
- 9:21[SPEAKER_07]: Well, you know, the possibility for abuse, yeah, let's say a bunch of people at a homeless place, we're all registered and got ballots.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_07]: I could go there and round all the rooms and so we got your ballot, why don't you just sign that and I'll fill it out for you and mail it in.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_07]: Is that fraud?
- 9:39[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_08]: Remember the woman in Connecticut that was stopping the ballot box mayor?
- 9:44[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_09]: What happened there?
- 9:47[SPEAKER_07]: Nothing.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_08]: Maybe we should start having an IQ test for people going into the boarding book.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_08]: Here's a guy, you don't have a problem with the guy either currently near you with Danny.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_08]: A guy beat up women and you with Danny don't have a problem with that.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_16]: Hmm.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_09]: Treaticulous.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_09]: Another small, well, in the government, that's all we need.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_09]: This guy is going to do nothing.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_09]: The guy's got mental health issues, he should be on the damn balance.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_09]: Somebody percent of main board is voted for this guy.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_07]: Mm-hmm.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_09]: Tritaculous.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_07]: I know, it's crazy, isn't it?
- 10:30[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, and you would vote for me, said the other day, man.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I might, I don't know.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_09]: What do you mean?
- 10:37[SPEAKER_09]: You don't have a problem with a guy who is still a woman's arm, huh?
- 10:40[SPEAKER_09]: And run this back?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_07]: Well... Come on!
- 10:45[SPEAKER_07]: He's a man's man, come on!
- 10:47[SPEAKER_07]: The Democrats like that.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I wouldn't have gotten one, but he did.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_09]: What does Danny Fritz just say go, Danny, just close the guy's a Democrat, doesn't mean you have the full form.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_09]: Have you ever heard Mr. Fritz just criticize a Democrat?
- 11:09[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_09]: Have you?
- 11:11[SPEAKER_07]: Well, no, I haven't.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_09]: I never have.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, we saw it, no.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_09]: A couple of other things, we were on Medicaid.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_09]: If you're on Medicaid, you're going to have
- 11:22[SPEAKER_09]: I was a week if you can't work, you will get Medicaid.
- 11:26[UNKNOWN]: A great idea by the president, may you agree.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 11:30[UNKNOWN]: There's also a little bit more of a drop of frickin' front door.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_09]: You can't be a Medicaid, have a living point, friends.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_09]: Five or six kids, and expect to get our money.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_09]: We're fed up with it.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_09]: There's 500 man in a year going out and prawns from the federal government that he's frickin' broken.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_09]: You're never going to get an American drone.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_09]: We're going to destroy the service programs in this county.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_07]: All over the place, yeah?
- 12:01[SPEAKER_09]: We'll say that your county can't suppose up on that silly street.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_09]: We build a Taj Mahal on Main Avenue.
- 12:09[UNKNOWN]: Is that building on the tag for a mayor?
- 12:11[SPEAKER_07]: No.
- 12:12[UNKNOWN]: Why not?
- 12:14[SPEAKER_07]: Was it owned by a not-for-profit?
- 12:16[SPEAKER_07]: Yep.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I agree with you.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_09]: I'm talking about, we got all these big shots over there, seen how wonderful it is, what's so wonderful about it?
- 12:28[SPEAKER_09]: How's it helping us in the pocket of work?
- 12:31[SPEAKER_09]: I fell up with not profit, it's getting away with this.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_09]: And nobody's got to think about it, they get the same right giant.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_09]: And there's a fire, are we sending it to that building?
- 12:43[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 12:43[UNKNOWN]: The fire charts.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_07]: There's a fire.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_09]: You've got CEOs running these non-profits, six biggest salaries that be putty, they're not doing it for nothing.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_09]: Mm-hmm.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_09]: 35% of this property is tax exempt.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_09]: So raise your issue.
- 13:04[SPEAKER_09]: You wonder where we can't balance the budget.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_09]: Nobody looks at it.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_07]: I know now they want to spend another 12.75 million out of pipe.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_07]: mm-hmm.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_09]: Those are the things you have to take care.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_09]: We don't want the pool shut down in the summer time on the north side.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_09]: We get a fort that.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_09]: That's not what I'm talking about.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_09]: You have to look at manpower.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_09]: That's the issue.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_07]: Well how much do you want caught?
- 13:41[SPEAKER_09]: They're not going to call it anything else.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_09]: What come a little

- 14:13[SPEAKER_09]: He couldn't work for the city because we had a woman city manager and he couldn't take orders from a woman.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_09]: He probably played for his whole town room every week.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_09]: Come out of here.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_09]: Do you remember that there?
- 14:28[SPEAKER_07]: Actually, I don't.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I do.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_09]: He was from Connecticut.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_09]: He couldn't take orders from a woman city manager because he wanted these nutcase foreigners.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_09]: And he quit and we fired him.

- 17:49[SPEAKER_05]: not 39 trillion, it's 50 trillion, and the reason it's 50 trillion is because of millionaires and billionaires, like Trump and Musk and Bezos, they don't pay the fair share of taxes.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_05]: And also, it's also because all these wars we didn't pay for, recently, that's part of the problem, and also for this micron plan that's owned down in Syracuse,
- 18:16[SPEAKER_05]: That's corporation won for an O.N.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_05]: They've been given tax breaks left and right.

- 23:40[SPEAKER_04]: That does not include you.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_07]: Who wants to go to that thing?
- 23:46[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, you know, if it's on TV and you like watching paint dry and watch a little soccer, that's the way I look at it.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_07]: It's hard to believe that then they're opening up all the bars to 4 a.m. for five weeks.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I don't know who's going to reveal themselves of that here.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_07]: The governor put out the release on that yesterday, the local media didn't think it was news, but I don't know if I'd stay open later or not.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_07]: Maybe a little bit on some nights, you know, depends.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_07]: There's probably three or four places in town that were to veil themselves of it.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know where.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_07]: speculate which ones but is there any harm in it?
- 24:42[SPEAKER_07]: Some people think it's terrible.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_07]: You know, did anybody go and ask the substance abuse counsel or anything else or the stop DWI coordinator?

- 25:17[SPEAKER_07]: Now, all the, something so people can watch the soccer games, why can't they watch them anyway?
- 25:26[SPEAKER_07]: I would be willing to bet over the next month.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_07]: And we'll put it on.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_07]: If people want to watch it fine, watch whatever you want.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_07]: We don't have all the TVs on Fox, like some idiot keep saying.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_07]: I don't think you're going to have it on anything you want.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_07]: But I can't imagine that people are that many people are that interested.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_07]: This guy says all bars should be closed on Sundays and it bids night.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_08]: Why is that?
- 26:25[SPEAKER_07]: And what about this overtime thing with a fire department?
- 26:30[SPEAKER_07]: they say it's unexpected but it's not unexpected they get monthly reports on each expense category and what percentage of the total it is whether it's of running your head or behind so it's nothing unexpected now we got a 12.7 million dollar water pipe were told we got a half I mean you know we can go to hell and a hand basket without all these people working at the city and all they do is bring a
- 27:02[SPEAKER_06]: But after doing it on the air and if I was wondering if I'm just cold or out has it can get their price supporters to like not litter all over the square i don't know what's talking about so last night all orange war decided to put a bunch of price flags all the different ones is like 30 different types of flags i have and he's scattered them all through public square
- 27:29[SPEAKER_06]: Littering them everywhere.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_06]: Think goodness a good citizen when they're on pick them all up and threw them away.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_07]: Mm-hmm.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_07]: What'd that be you?
- 27:35[SPEAKER_06]: You didn't want that.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_06]: What's that?
- 27:37[SPEAKER_07]: Would that be you?
- 27:40[SPEAKER_06]: No, there was somebody else that didn't.
- 27:42[SPEAKER_07]: Well, how do you know?
- 27:42[SPEAKER_07]: You aren't even in water town.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_06]: No, I'm not.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_06]: You got a problem with that, Jess.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_06]: Does that bother you, Jess?
- 27:50[SPEAKER_06]: It really bothers you, doesn't I?
- 27:52[SPEAKER_07]: Boy, that's a threatening tone.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_06]: No, I'm just being sarcastic about it.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_06]: Well, because it doesn't matter.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_06]: It doesn't matter if I'm there or not.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I don't know.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_07]: Are there pride flags in market risk again?
- 28:04[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_06]: And if these pride people are going around, littering their trash all through public square, it needs to be dealt with.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_07]: Well, apparently it was.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_06]: Well, not so much in the sense that the law needs to get involved.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_06]: The law doesn't get involved, because the same person,
- 28:24[SPEAKER_06]: has been caught on camera news junkie is shared okay but literally just leaving bicycle tires is for the camps hmm okay there was a news junkie last week that Paul was looking all right i'm not getting into individual spats with people so leave let's leave names out of the same guy that goes on your blog that runs his mouth okay all right

- 28:48[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_07]: I agree people shouldn't put flag.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_07]: People should not put flags up if they're not invited to.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_07]: OK, thank you.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_06]: Well, they shouldn't be putting your own public square.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_07]: Thank you.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_07]: No, you don't put flags on other people's properties.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_07]: Well, anyway, 755, 1240 is the phone number.

- 30:38[SPEAKER_07]: No, I don't know.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_07]: 755, 1240, the phone number.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_07]: Here's a man accused of using a foot fetish website to lure and rape women.

- 30:50[SPEAKER_07]: But what is a foot pad NYC dot com?
- 30:59[SPEAKER_07]: Use it.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_07]: He's trying to recruit aspiring foot models.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_07]: Are there foot models?
- 31:03[SPEAKER_07]: Are there any foot models out in the crowd here?
- 31:07[SPEAKER_07]: And just because you're a foot model,
- 31:11[SPEAKER_07]: You know, at my or good pair of feet doesn't mean you have a foot fetish.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_07]: But after noon you're on the air.

- 31:30[SPEAKER_07]: I think he's an idiot.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, cry baby.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_07]: Cry baby.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_07]: Rise like a little girl.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, cry baby.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_10]: That's what I was thinking.

- 32:38[SPEAKER_10]: I think you could.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_10]: I think you should give it a shot.

- 32:47[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, well thank you.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_07]: I know.

- 33:02[SPEAKER_07]: So that would be the downside.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_07]: You'd all miss me, wouldn't you?
- 33:09[SPEAKER_07]: I think so.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_07]: uh... let's see oh yeah i was telling somebody sent me those all these court papers about uh... that building down to out about the uh... when t-bank was trying to foreclose on it in two thousand twenty four and they were trying to get the court to grant a cash judgment against the lender and not
- 33:38[SPEAKER_07]: because they didn't want the property, because they felt it was too bad a shape.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_07]: So they were trying to wash their hands of it.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_07]: So when everybody washes their hands, whose hands get dirty, the taxpayers.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_07]: But apparently, a lot of these deficiencies were known for a while.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_07]: It's all of a sudden it was a big priority, all of a sudden one day.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_07]: Well, that's the, you know, the bankers, they always do well, the taxpayers, not so well.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_07]: Exactly.

- 39:27[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_16]: Oh, Craig doesn't want you to vote for him.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, I won't.

- 39:55[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_16]: I don't know if I've got any people interested in that.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.

- 40:07[SPEAKER_07]: Absolutely not, well, they can't even put up with us and nobody's I saw some bunting today over water town savings bank out a couple pieces of bunting up and I saw some bunting at a house over on Williams Street, but yeah and as well as on Pearl Street of course.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_16]: Well it's a very patriotic year, it's the 250th celebration, right?
- 40:36[SPEAKER_07]: Well, I heard that, but I, you know, I don't think there's any plans to do anything here in Watertown.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_16]: Well, golly, I don't know, maybe I'll have to go to Washington, DC.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_07]: There you go, that looks like a good time down there.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_16]: Yeah, a lot of cherry blossoms below, right?
- 41:01[SPEAKER_07]: Could be, I don't know, I'm not up on that, but yeah, could be.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, well, Samantha, I got a run.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_15]: All right.

- 41:10[SPEAKER_07]: Good afternoon, Ron.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_15]: I've been thinking a lot about the NX and the MSL building and the fact that it deteriorated this much, and I instantly, when they first described that, a lot of the old tray arm miller building, the day that the front of that came stumbling down onto the sidewalk on the square.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I remember that, the iron block building, yeah.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_15]: with that, how will everybody find their way down town?
- 41:36[SPEAKER_07]: Well, this building, it's a classic example of everybody running away from a problem.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, yeah, for sure, including the owner.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_07]: The owner?
- 41:49[SPEAKER_15]: The owner, whoever.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_07]: The lenders?
- 41:52[SPEAKER_15]: Right.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_07]: And,
- 41:55[SPEAKER_07]: Unfortunately for better words, we live in a world where if the owners can skate, and the lenders can skate, then the taxpayers end up dealing with the end result, which is what's happening.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_15]: I put some of the problem with this on the development agencies also.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_15]: I honestly think sometimes they're too quick to learn money.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_07]: Too quick to lend it, and then
- 42:33[SPEAKER_07]: But an agency, whether it's the IDA or the Watertown Trust, those are public sector agencies.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_07]: These people who get on the board tend to think it's their little loan fund.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_07]: And they should be operating in the public interest convenience and necessity.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_07]: And, you know, to just say that, oh, well, we washed our hands of this, begs the question of whose hands then got dirty.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_15]: to even lend the money, they probably didn't do any kind of marketing, starting to see if the idea would even work going forward that she had.
- 43:08[SPEAKER_15]: Right, and all of the equipment, any background or anything, and the other problem that comes to mind with that one also is that consult energy that owes a whole bunch of money that they've made one payment on and they're supposed to make the rest of the payment in November.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_15]: The one out by the airport that was good.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, I wasn't even, you know, I was, for a good part of that controversy, I was cognitively impaired, and I could tell there was something wrong with that.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, the guy, apparently that also goes all over the country doing that, and my current has the tendency to do that also, so I keep saying, well, in my lifetime, maybe four years down the road, I'll have to laugh and see what happens.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_07]: Hmm.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_07]: Well, yeah, and this,
- 43:57[SPEAKER_07]: Apparently there was all of this equipment for the play escape or whatever it was was still in the building.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah, yeah, well it was.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_15]: It's probably pretty well torn down now, but I don't see how it can be though, because she leaves her space to the hockey people and there's several other people.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_15]: So I don't see how her equipment can still be there.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_15]: I mean, there's a closet somewhere, but you know.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_07]: Well, there were other tenants, but I don't
- 44:25[SPEAKER_07]: Once it was initially, I think it was initially condemned for occupancy in 2020.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_07]: Once that happened, they couldn't rent anybody.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_07]: Right.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_07]: So the fate was sealed at that point.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_15]: But the whole thing just didn't make any sense in it that was such a great building.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_15]: I remember the children's clinic being in there and why didn't they stay and develop it.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_15]: Instead, they moved up next to the social services office.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_07]: Well, that's an interesting point, too, and maybe just buildings have a natural lifespan and society has to pay to get rid of them, but on the other hand, these people are always talking about economic development and they're doing this, and a lot of times it's just shuffling and money around it could have been lent by a traditional bank anyway, or turned down by a bank.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_07]: The reason these loans occur is because banks wouldn't bite.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_07]: Well, they're always in the primary position.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_07]: Usually, they're not as covered and then the agencies take it on the chin, but that's the working theory on this is while you have to, you have to have the government take the risk in order for these certain types of projects to succeed.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_15]: Right.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_15]: I just feel like the agencies need to do better background checks, like way background checks.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_15]: It won't way back, not just in the last year or whatever.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_07]: Well, the fact is if they did, they wouldn't be lending.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_07]: you know back in the days of selling cars people like this used to be called special financing which it was nothing special about it they would deadbeats right right it's not the first time that this has happened that they've done stock with loans either remember the food truck that went to Syracuse yeah yeah they seem to get stuck quite often yeah would you landed if it was your money I don't know right I just
- 46:26[SPEAKER_15]: building that's really old to fall apart like that, it begins to remember that J.R. Miller building.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_07]: No, and we don't know, you know, what's going to happen with this?
- 46:36[SPEAKER_07]: Well, it'll go through the tax sale process.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_07]: The city will end up with title once it's vacant, and then probably neighbors will take it.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_15]: It beats being having bricks fall on your head when you walk by.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_15]: I can remember going to the farmer's market maybe 15 years ago, or more, a little more than that, down on Saturday that they have, and there were signs and barricades at that time that you couldn't walk up a particular pathway you get to the square because- But why would somebody- We're falling down.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_07]: Why would somebody take title to the building if it was seriously deficient?
- 47:21[SPEAKER_07]: with no plan to fix it.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_07]: I guess there are people like I always look at like if there's a problem I want to get it fixed.
- 47:28[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_07]: And you have to do it within a budget.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_07]: You can't do everything it wants.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_15]: Nobody's that wealthy, but you know, it becomes a personal tax rate off or something.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_07]: And I'll tax rate it.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_07]: That's an overused phrase.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_07]: It's still money that has to be spent.
- 47:42[UNKNOWN]: True.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, that means nothing.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_07]: But yeah.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_07]: I mean you put properties in the hands of people who have a very poor record of stewardship on properties and then wonder why it didn't work out.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_15]: It doesn't make sense at all.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_07]: But it goes on in every city town in village in the land.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_15]: Of course it does.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_07]: Because there's a whole cottage industry in it.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_07]: There's all these.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_15]: I know.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_15]: It's too bad because it really hits here because if you go over to Kingston, they have beautiful buildings.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_15]: What?
- 48:20[SPEAKER_15]: and they use them for useful things.
- 48:22[SPEAKER_15]: I think downtown in Kingston there's a staple from one building, a small Walmart store and there are trees and things that are all outside here, they've made an effort and no ability to move them down down.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_07]: Well, there are a lot of people who have done things downtown don't get me wrong.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_15]: Oh yeah, yeah, but, and some of these buildings were
- 48:45[SPEAKER_15]: department stores in their age when huge department stores were popular and they put annexes on and they didn't remember the old days that themselves it'd go in and nicely dressed woman at the cosmetic counter and all of that stuff yeah these have a big Christmas thing in the annex down in the back uh-huh Santa Claus and all the trees and all that stuff was yeah you know old women store their
- 49:16[SPEAKER_07]: Nobody has a fur coat anymore.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_15]: No, no, I wouldn't think so, and if they do, I don't know what they do with it, because they don't think there's cold storage anymore.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_07]: Did you have a fur coat back then?
- 49:28[SPEAKER_15]: I did it one time, but if either belonged to my mother or my grandmother or... Like a mink coat or... No, no, no, no, no.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_15]: I think there was a park raccoon or something where you're like that.
- 49:38[SPEAKER_15]: I don't know, must wrap.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_15]: That's what it was.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, okay.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_15]: Yeah.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_07]: All right.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_07]: Sounds good.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_07]: Have a good day.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_07]: All righty, interesting days and downtown years going by, um... Yeah, or what else is going on it?
- 50:00[SPEAKER_07]: Well, somebody sent me, did send me that information on the, uh, crackdown on, uh, e-bikes.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_07]: It's kind of interesting.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_07]: I guess I don't really know what they're going to do.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_07]: You guys spend some on advertising.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_07]: I call Kerry and said, but I'll get in on that.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_07]: Let's see.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_07]: I can't find it.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know what they're going to do about these bikes.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, 755, 1240, it's the phone number.
- 50:51[SPEAKER_07]: It'd like to give us a call to be on the show of show is today, it's got it.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_07]: Somebody texted, it's the Plaza Hotel still in Kingston.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_07]: I think it's got a different name now.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_07]: That was on the corner of Princess and something else, yeah.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_07]: Right in here, Rod.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_07]: I think it was right around the corner from Channel 11 right up the street or something.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_07]: But yeah, Kingston is a pretty town.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_07]: Remember when they had the Plaza Hotel, the Commodore and the Lake View Manor?
- 51:29[SPEAKER_07]: What a vacation spot that was.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 51:34[SPEAKER_07]: If somebody texted in my mother had a fur coat, she left it themselves.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I guess a lot of people did.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_07]: Nowadays, you've got to make coats.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_07]: They're going to throw yellow paint on you.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_07]: The liberals don't, you know, we're going to do that to you.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_07]: So you're better not.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_07]: You're better not.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_07]: I'll say they've got, I don't know, there's other kinds of coats.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_07]: You don't need a fur coat.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_07]: Don't really need one.

- 57:00[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, people just whether it's Trump's arrangement syndrome or something else.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_07]: They just don't care or anything else these days.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_07]: I don't care if it's Trump's birth day, it doesn't float my boat one way or the other.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_07]: It's flag day.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_07]: You don't have a flag out on flag day, there's something wrong with you.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_07]: And yet, oh, after home, street after street, business after business, well, I have no flag to Saturday.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_07]: You don't have a flag out on flag day, there's something wrong with you.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_07]: And yet, oh, after home, street after street, business after business, well, I have no flag to Saturday.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_07]: I love all these people who run around saying, oh, they're from both the troops back to blue, they got a buzzword for everything, but they don't have a flag on their house.

- 59:06[SPEAKER_07]: I'm already.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 59:16[SPEAKER_07]: You know, it's still pondering that one, but some places well, I'm sure, some places will.
