- 1:54Speaker 1: it's elevated from what you started out doing to where
- 1:56Speaker 1: you're at now, where you're not just the owner of
- 1:59Speaker 1: this business talent as well, but you can still use
- 2:02Speaker 1: relationships that you've had from your previous engagements with them.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Yeah. Absolutely, I mean relationships are everything. And you know,
- 2:09Speaker 2: I didn't really realize that, you know, when I was
- 2:14Speaker 2: when I was on the interview side and the media side,
- 2:17Speaker 2: I was just hustling right trying to get interviews with
- 2:20Speaker 2: every hip hop artist I could possibly think of. I
- 2:24Speaker 2: didn't know how much it was going to translate into
- 2:26Speaker 2: the live space, you know, until I started to like
- 2:31Speaker 2: I needed contacts at Live Nation, you know, I needed
- 2:34Speaker 2: contacts at AG to book these venues. Like the live
- 2:38Speaker 2: space is almost like even more closed than the recording space,
- 2:45Speaker 2: right because in the recording side of the music industry,
- 2:47Speaker 2: or on the media side of the music industry, right,
- 2:49Speaker 2: anybody can pick up a camera, anybody can plug up
- 2:52Speaker 2: a microphone, and then you can just upload your music
- 2:55Speaker 2: or your video and you can reach a lot of people.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:58Speaker 2: If your stuff cannet, then you have the ability to
- 3:02Speaker 2: connect with a huge audience. The thing that's so different
- 3:04Speaker 2: in a live space is that, like you have to
- 3:09Speaker 2: rent out a venue. You can't get around like being
- 3:12Speaker 2: somebody a gatekeeper essentially being like do we want this
- 3:17Speaker 2: show in our room or not, you know what I mean.
- 3:19Speaker 2: And so a lot of the relationships that I had
- 3:22Speaker 2: in the live space really came from, you know, when
- 3:26Speaker 2: I was interviewing artists and I would be on the
- 3:28Speaker 2: road with artists and I would say, Hey, you know,
- 3:30Speaker 2: I need this connect to get to here. I need
- 3:33Speaker 2: this connect to get to this room because I know
- 3:35Speaker 2: you guys have toured and played in them, and once
- 3:38Speaker 2: I got like a few venues down, then I would
- 3:42Speaker 2: start to get to the national person. And now the
- 3:45Speaker 2: national person is how I'm able to book all these
- 3:47Speaker 2: different rooms, you know, like from all these different large companies,
- 3:52Speaker 2: but not just that. It's like the relationships are one thing,
- 3:56Speaker 2: but it's like showing up and really like not dropping
- 4:01Speaker 2: the ball, you know. I know you guys know so
- 4:03Speaker 2: much about this, but it's like a lot of times,
- 4:07Speaker 2: you know, we're pioneering stuff, you know, like UBS Arena,
- 4:12Speaker 2: I don't think like we did our first show with them,
- 4:15Speaker 2: shout out to UBS Arena. I got on the New
- 4:16Speaker 2: York Islanders had, but we did our first show with
- 4:19Speaker 2: them and they hadn't had like a DJ, like like
- 4:24Speaker 2: an R and B or even I would say, like
- 4:26Speaker 2: hip hop like a DJ driven event, you know, with
- 4:29Speaker 2: like no traditional talent like before us. You know, so
- 4:33Speaker 2: they're like, all right, we're taking a chance on this,
- 4:37Speaker 2: and you know, you can't drop the ball on that
- 4:40Speaker 2: because it's like for the next people like like what
- 4:43Speaker 2: about when a Caribbean show wants to come in there,
- 4:45Speaker 2: or you know what I mean, what about when like
- 4:47Speaker 2: afrobeat show wants to come in there, or what about
- 4:50Speaker 2: when you know Reggae thone show wants to come in there,
- 4:53Speaker 2: It's like at least they have us as a reference
- 4:55Speaker 2: point to say, oh, yeah, we know how R and
- 4:57Speaker 2: B only does it, and you know they an amazing job,
- 5:01Speaker 2: and so you know a lot and that's how the
- 5:03Speaker 2: game works too. A lot of time. Now, I'm kind
- 5:06Speaker 2: of like a young og in this like live space.
- 5:09Speaker 2: So there's a lot of people that are coming up,
- 5:11Speaker 2: and I'm always on the phone. I take zoom calls
- 5:13Speaker 2: all the time with like the young men and women
- 5:16Speaker 2: that are out here trying to make a wave with
- 5:19Speaker 2: live events because it's just so different, and a lot
- 5:22Speaker 2: of times you do need that code sign and you
- 5:24Speaker 2: do need just some direction to even point you in
- 5:27Speaker 2: the right way, because in this space, it's like you
- 5:31Speaker 2: you could you could take a bath man, you could
- 5:34Speaker 2: lose a lot of money quickly putting on a show
- 5:37Speaker 2: and not really knowing you know, the sort of like
- 5:42Speaker 2: ups and downs of it, you know what I mean.
- 5:43Speaker 2: And I think that, yeah, it's like like everything relationships
- 5:48Speaker 2: are are are like half the game. And then just
- 5:51Speaker 2: like execution and really like really really really making your
- 5:56Speaker 2: mark and like you know, showing people that you got
- 6:00Speaker 2: you've got something to prove and you're supposed to be here.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Is like the other.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Part really quickly, what platform are you using to collect
- 6:07Speaker 4: the data? Because I know when we leave on show
- 6:09Speaker 4: msg ticket maps, wasn't the most favorable shot the ticket
- 6:12Speaker 4: mass and all the amazing shareholders there? Yeah, yeah, yes,
- 6:18Speaker 4: I love you guysers. What form did you use to
- 6:22Speaker 4: be able to collect the data?
- 6:25Speaker 2: So there's there's two sides to it. And so because
- 6:28Speaker 2: for us we're not only are we collecting data from
- 6:33Speaker 2: the ticket sales, but this is a pro tip for
- 6:36Speaker 2: anybody throwing events. You want to also collect what we
- 6:41Speaker 2: call like pre registrations or leads something so that people
- 6:46Speaker 2: can sign up. You can customize this however you want,
- 6:50Speaker 2: right and you're letting people know, hey, this thing is
- 6:54Speaker 2: about to drop, right, but I need your data to
- 6:58Speaker 2: incentivize you for maybe like as counted ticket or early
- 7:01Speaker 2: access pre sale. And so we use a platform called
- 7:04Speaker 2: type form for that because it's highly customizable. But if
- 7:08Speaker 2: you just you know, literally just Google form submission, you
- 7:15Speaker 2: know what I mean, like platforms for form submissions, right.
- 7:18Speaker 2: But I think that's the biggest thing that people in
- 7:20Speaker 2: the live event space. UH still to this day are
- 7:24Speaker 2: underutilizing is like that type of like pre registration. UH.
- 7:29Speaker 2: And then on the ticketing side, we shout out to
- 7:33Speaker 2: Live Nation and Universe and Ticketmaster because we're sort of
- 7:36Speaker 2: all in the family together by using their self service
- 7:40Speaker 2: platform which is called Universe, and they've been really good
- 7:44Speaker 2: to us. We also we also rock with event right.
- 7:47Speaker 2: We use event right for ticketing, and we're kind of
- 7:50Speaker 2: like toying around with other companies too. But you know,
- 7:55Speaker 2: it's it's hard to have your you know, it's hard
- 7:58Speaker 2: to have like a singular and then say, hey, the
- 8:01Speaker 2: tickets are here, the tickets are here, the tickets are here,
- 8:03Speaker 2: the tickets are here. You know you kind of you
- 8:05Speaker 2: kind of want to have not not too many different
- 8:08Speaker 2: experiences for like a checkout process, but all of those
- 8:13Speaker 2: tickets that we you know, sell then funnel into our
- 8:17Speaker 2: CRM platform, and we use a platform called uh Tradable Bits,
- 8:22Speaker 2: which is really really big in like the sports world.
- 8:26Speaker 2: So a lot of like professional NBA teams, MLB teams
- 8:30Speaker 2: use that company to you know, understand data about their
- 8:35Speaker 2: ticket buyers. So yeah, those are kind of like that's
- 8:38Speaker 2: kind of our tech stack with when it comes to data.
- 8:42Speaker 3: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 8:45Speaker 3: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 8:49Speaker 3: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 8:54Speaker 3: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 8:58Speaker 3: some of the heinous migrant criminal caught because of President
- 9:01Speaker 3: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 9:05Speaker 3: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 9:10Speaker 3: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 9:13Speaker 3: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 9:17Speaker 3: are here illegally, your next you will be fine nearly
- 9:21Speaker 3: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and deported, you will
- 9:25Speaker 3: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 9:28Speaker 3: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Do what's right, leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 9:37Speaker 3: border and families will be protected.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
