- 0:00Because fuck you, that's why is a founding member of the Odd Pods Media
- 0:04Network. What up? Man? What? What up? What's happening?
- 0:46What indeed are the Alps? I don't know if you could tell buyer somewhat
- 0:56laid back intro, but this is going to be a well dessert chill show.
- 1:00We've been running hot for like a month. We've had special episodes,
- 1:06We've had a ton of guesses. We've even snuck just a regular bfy tw
- 1:10that could have been perfectly good chill show. We were like, no,
- 1:11we can do a full show. Let's do it. Ums. We've been
- 1:17on other shows, We've done guest spots. Like it's been a crazy month.
- 1:22And then this week I got beat up at work. Algie had his
- 1:25first full week of work. Yeah. Um, so we're basically all exhausted.
- 1:33We got nothing left. I just played video games all night last night,
- 1:37just completely zoned out, just enjoyed myself. I had a great time
- 1:44revisiting Fear Effect. That's an old favorite of mine, one of my one
- 1:48of my favorite PlayStation one games still to this day. I love that game
- 1:53so much. Um, but we can get into what we're doing, uh
- 1:57in a little bit of course, you know, I gotta do the intro.
- 2:01Uh. My boy, my homie, one of my best friends on
- 2:06this life. Uh he's a veteran and a podcaster. And as it turns
- 2:09out, he's a veteran podcaster. It's Stevie's Yeah, I am get any
- 2:22weird or you don't often run into square shaped assholes? Right? Um?
- 2:28Yeah, that's that's true. It's it's very unique visual. Have you like
- 2:35to check it out? Check out only fast dot com hoops cubes like a
- 2:38wombat. Um, it's so weird, man, it's so weird. Go
- 2:45on a little dice. Oh you loved my little fun fact? There did?
- 2:47Yeah? How do they do that? I have no idea. I
- 2:52have to assume it's a square as something. It's gotta be just the assholes,
- 2:54right, It's it's just how a starfish they poop a little cubes?
- 2:59Want to look? Get up? You go ahead. I mean I don't
- 3:00want you. I'm curious. I'm not googling wombat poop? Uh, Stevie,
- 3:07what's going on? Man? Not too much, man, I'm doing
- 3:09pretty good. Um. Yeah, I always gifted some dooby snacks a friend
- 3:16of I haven't even tried tried. No, it was a friend of ours,
- 3:22one of their acquaintances, gave it to them as a thank you,
- 3:28and this person's like, I know you like it. Here you go.
- 3:30I don't use this stuff, And I was like, all right, So
- 3:32yeah we got we got some cool joint and some medibals and we're gonna be
- 3:36trying in a little bit. Oh boy. Yeah, no idea what's gonna
- 3:38happen. But I'm sure it's gonna be a very good night, oh my
- 3:42goods. Or Aaron will be carrying the rest of the show by himself likely.
- 3:47Yeah, it's always um, but that's fine. I love doing this
- 3:54show so much so I don't care. I'll tap dance for an hour.
- 3:58It's fine. Yeah. Um yeah, so that's Stevie. Let's pieruet to
- 4:04my youngest friend, or he used to be magest friend. Now he's just
- 4:09one of my best friends. It's Augie. He's a guy. Wow.
- 4:39Yeah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring that on you. Um
- 4:43but yeah no, Um, we've been doing this running guest. That's a
- 4:46little sun Naron. We've been doing this running gag where you know, we've
- 4:51just been kind of reductive. Now He's just a friend, he's just an
- 4:55acquaintance. He's just here, just a random bearded guy. Um, you
- 5:00know, the stranger. And it all felt a bit reductive. It felt
- 5:03it felt a little like demeaning a little bit, and I was like,
- 5:06I feel bad about this, so I'm just gonna twist it a little bit,
- 5:11make it nicer. Um. Are you doing, man, I'm doing
- 5:15great. Are you surprised by my sudden term of affection? Yeah, it
- 5:19was just do you prefer I turn it back down? You know, I
- 5:24get more insulting. I don't. I don't want to say I kind of
- 5:29missed the insults. Definitely different that you guys, like fucking maybe a massa
- 5:36kiss. Uh, but you know it's great. But yeah, yeah,
- 5:42I'm doing great. How about you, man, I'm good, Man,
- 5:45I'm good. I had an incredible, uh week, as long as you
- 5:47cut the work part out. Yeah, yeah, it went pretty well.
- 5:51I'm pretty happy with yourself, I assume. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 5:56you're back to work for the first time in a long, whole time
- 6:00week of work. It was tiring, but also extremely satisfying, I would
- 6:03imagine so because I was immediately able to pay my rent and my utility.
- 6:08It's the best feeling in the world. Yeah, do you know it even
- 6:12better? You paid me some money too, so it was really great.
- 6:14Wow, I know. I'm like, oh this is great. Yeah,
- 6:16some go away, leave me a little money, all right, cab fair.
- 6:23We don't need the podcast, right, some time to myself to relax,
- 6:30spank a monkey. Um yeah, that's about it. I don't have
- 6:34anything else. I'm glad you enjoyed your first week. Oh yeah, yeah.
- 6:39That is like a pool slash pond place. Sounds like a fun place
- 6:44to work. Oh yeah, yeah, it's it's kind of like an interesting
- 6:46mix between what I learned in college and what I've learned working in like retail
- 6:50for like last fifteen years. Right yeah, because I mean you're still stolling
- 6:55selling stuff, but now it's you know, um nature, Yeah, sort
- 6:59of specialized, specialized, very special my wheelhouse. Yeah, animal husbandry,
- 7:04that's very very cool. Husband those animals, that's very cool. So,
- 7:09of course, because this is gonna be a chill show, We're just gonna
- 7:12be chilling, hanging out talking about whatever. Hell, whatever interests us,
- 7:15whatever's gotten our gotten our attention. Um, and we've already spent a good
- 7:20like ten minutes to introver. So, um, so I don't know,
- 7:25Um, who wants to go first? Should I go first? Oh?
- 7:29You gotta do me. Oh that's what I love to do. I was
- 7:30well Saturday, I know, I know, I'm loud, I'm ready.
- 7:36Well, I guess you could also introduce me your host, uh, the
- 7:41Pantless Wonder. You can just call me Pantless Aaron h so good. I
- 8:03love it because it it does. It definitely reminisces of a game show,
- 8:05Like I can see the flashing like those giant bulbs like on the back of
- 8:09Drop just like can I can? I be? Absolutely like. The thing
- 8:13that it makes me think of is like a Saturday Morning cartoon. Really got
- 8:18a real Saturday Morning cartoon vibe? Okay, like the very end, Princess
- 8:22there run and I'm just standing there, you know, in a heroic poet
- 8:26underdog yeah, something like yeah yeah, pants and then the pants all the
- 8:31hot. Maybe more like Mighty Mouse, because the Underdog song is kind of
- 8:35different. I don't know it's worth thinking about. I guess huh mighty Mouse.
- 8:41Okay, definitely mighty Mouse, all right, fair enough, he's pretty
- 8:45cool. I like Mighty Mouse. Um, so now who do we what
- 8:48do we do? Who wants right there? Role it? See what happens?
- 8:54See what happens? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah?
- 9:01Well is it? I got it too, literally, no matter what I
- 9:07said, literally, no matter what I said. What a dick like?
- 9:16Right? I mean, we know you worked for the week, but you
- 9:22had to have at least some downtime. Is there anything you've been enjoying?
- 9:24Yeah? So you know, you always got to make sure you take time
- 9:28for yourself to you know, take your breaks, and when you're done with
- 9:33work for the day, it makes you relax, you know. And I
- 9:35like to relax by playing video games, of course. And what I've been
- 9:41playing a lot recently has been I've been getting back into Paid A two.
- 9:45Yes, even though they've I believe they've announced Pay three A bit back.
- 9:48Yeah, so they're still coming out with new DLC fruit pay two I know,
- 9:54all right, so I'm really interested what the third one is gonna be
- 9:56like. But I digress. U. So I've been getting back into it,
- 10:01and for whatever, for another reason, I'm like, you know what,
- 10:05I haven't really gotten that far. Let me start over. So I
- 10:09reset my progress and I've been starting back over so I lost my prestiges.
- 10:16Wow, yeah you were. You were already the lowest among us. Not
- 10:22not in like stature like in level in the game, yea, in terms
- 10:26of prestige like yeah, to to be clear, like then you can lose
- 10:31your prestige. You you can. You can reset the entire thing if you
- 10:33want. I know, you can do the regular thing to go back to
- 10:37level one after a one hundred or some pink thing, which I'm almost done
- 10:41with the pain. I'm waiting for them. I mean like seventy five or
- 10:43seventy with the pain. So basically the way it works is you get up
- 10:46to level one hundred, You're given the option prestige or you can choose not
- 10:50to. If you choose not to, you build up the pink thing,
- 10:54which is another like I think thirty million experts stupid. It takes forever,
- 10:58it takes a long time to do. But if you let that build all
- 11:01the way up, you can prestige and stay at level one hundred, see
- 11:05and do it again so you don't lose all your stuff. You don't have
- 11:09to start back the base equipment, and you can get access to your guns
- 11:13and stuff right away. But I can like Pink Prestige, Prinks done,
- 11:18and then I can go from one hundred to one. You could theoretically prestige.
- 11:22That's what I want to do because I want to level up again after
- 11:24I just like I did that once, I Prestige and then Prestige immediately again.
- 11:28Yeah, the Pink ones is taking forever. Course that that sets you
- 11:31back to level one. They both take forever. Okay, it's it's roughly
- 11:35the same amount of XP either way. It's just a matter of whether you
- 11:39prefer to keep your good you know, weapons and equipment, or or if
- 11:43you wanted to, as you did, build up to Precesion and Prestige twice
- 11:46in a row. Because the more you prestige, the more bigger XP bonus
- 11:50you get. Yeah, and the faster you'll get. So it was worth
- 11:52doing it twice now because somebody like level three or four and that goes to
- 11:56six and it'll be worth it. That'll be like an extra fifteen percent bonus
- 12:00in fifteen is a big enough jump to be working. And yeah, it
- 12:03builds fast. Like you you you get over to like over one hundred percent
- 12:09double the XP you were getting at the original zero level. Prestige um and
- 12:13also the goodies you get for prestiging are kind of fun. Like a lot
- 12:16of my masks, the ones that I love the most and use the most
- 12:20often, were prestige masks. I'm Prestige level like twenty seven or twenty eight
- 12:24at this point. Wow, Um, Stevie's just like I didn't know you
- 12:28could do it for the longest. Yeah, he stayed at level hundred and
- 12:33didn't precise I've played forever and because I played with you guy, I played
- 12:37the first one and I played with you guys with the second one channel run
- 12:39all that shit, not even knowingly. Oh yeah, I'm dumb. That's
- 12:43all right. Sorry, I'll getting me to hijack your paid a shit.
- 12:45But anyway, So anyway, Stevie was at Prestige level three or four or
- 12:50something like that, and last I remember, Aggie had just reached Prestige level
- 12:54one. Yeah, and you've chosen to just go back and start all over
- 12:58anyway, Okay, I mean you're you're close enough to, you know,
- 13:03a low level that it wouldn't be that big of a d It's not that
- 13:07big of a loss. But why because sometimes you want a fresh start,
- 13:13Like it's like it's like a racing a save file on a game. Yeah
- 13:16it is, and just starting at exactly what you're doing. Yeah, yeah,
- 13:20starting from scratch completely. I mean yeah, sure, I guess.
- 13:24Um there's something to be had from that. For sure. Um. I
- 13:28would not do it, especially not the point I'm at now. I put
- 13:33so many hours in to get to prestige level twenty some odd that I'm no
- 13:37that was prestige. I definitely wouldn't know. But I was like only one
- 13:43or low enough that I was like, yeah, why not, I can
- 13:46get that. Um, so that's what all you've been doing? This is
- 13:50playing Pita two. Yeah, I don't know. Well, I well,
- 13:52I played other games too. I played like another game called Deprock Galactic,
- 13:56Yeah, which is fun. This is awesome. Yeah, And now I'm
- 14:00getting recommendations about that game from other people as well, not just not just
- 14:05at work, but another old friend of mine, John John from college,
- 14:09is like, you know, it's it's ten dollars. He's posting on Facebook
- 14:11about it's ten dollars on a Humble bundle, go grab it. And I'm
- 14:15like, all right, I just have to buy the stupid game. It's
- 14:18fun and it's the problem though, and that's why I wasn't going to mention
- 14:22it. It was because it's not cross platform or guy were like, if
- 14:28you're playing it on the Xbox Game Pass PC, you can't play it with
- 14:31somebody with Humble, bunder Bundle or Steam. So it's kind of like it's
- 14:37good game, but it's not very accessible. Yeah, so if if I
- 14:41got an unseam and we wanted to play together, I'd either have to get
- 14:43a game passer. You guys would have to get it on Steam as well.
- 14:46Correct. Well, that's so we're hoping that at some point they just
- 14:50open it up because it gets I mean, it's got great ratings, so
- 14:54I'm assuming at some point they'll hopefully patch it so you can't do something like
- 14:56that. Like I said, word of mouth is crazy because I've heard of
- 15:00this game from two different people, completely unrelated to anything like out of nowhere.
- 15:05My work colleague is like deep rocalactic, check it out. And now
- 15:09an old trend from college is doing the same. Like Jesus, these people
- 15:15are going out of their way to to to tell people how good this game
- 15:18is. There must be a reason it is. Again, it is good,
- 15:20It's just I wish it was you know, better better, I just
- 15:26kind of better in terms of gameplay, just better in terms of, like,
- 15:30you know, accessibility for everybody to play with their friends, regardless on
- 15:33the platform. Like cross platform should be fucking standard by now, Well it
- 15:39should be. It should be, you would assume at least on the like
- 15:41the computer PC side, if it's if it's on game passed, it should
- 15:45be at least be able to be cross platform with Xbox. The fact that
- 15:50that's not, just like that makes no sense to me. There's the same
- 15:52platform that seems insane. It's weird. An all PC formats should be cross
- 15:58platform like it regardless. That's so weird anyway, all right, Well you
- 16:04think that's long enough for section one, Let's take a break then, So
- 16:08we're gonna take a quick break. When we come back, we're gonna talk
- 16:11about more shenanigans we've been up to this week and just have a chill time.
- 16:15I hope you're chilling with us, but we'll see you right after this.
- 16:29I'm Richie aka Midnight Agent Raw. I'm Devin aka Special Delivery Dev.
- 16:33We're the Supermedia Bros. Podcast, and each week we give a comedically informative
- 16:38take on movies, music, television, pro wrestling, and much more.
- 16:44Check us out at Supermedia Bros. Podcast dot Com, Apple Podcasts, Spotify,
- 16:48or anywhere else that you can listen to podcasts shades on We're all hey,
- 17:07welcome back. It's time for part two. Um oh, I forgot
- 17:11to check. Do we have any voicemails or emails? We do have a
- 17:15full sail. Oh sweet, Let's let's take care of that now, as
- 17:19we usually like to go over our voicemails and emails in the second part.
- 17:22So, um, whenever you're ready, go ahead and hit a soggy yet's
- 17:26see first time calor a long time listener Justin from Ontario, Canada. Hey,
- 17:32justin, listen to you guys talk with Jimmy Carr's laugh just talk about
- 17:38fucking infectious Stevie's laughs. Every time I have a laugha just giggle and laugh,
- 17:44just fucking priceless the full Yeah, Justin, I appreciate that. So
- 17:52it is verified. It is that it's an iconic lass. That's crazy,
- 17:56man, you have an iconic lass? Sit, Yeah, it's it's it's
- 18:00definitely nothing, gonna be ashamed of it and I can verify a thousand percent
- 18:03it's not fake like Jimmy Carr's laugh is an affectation. We know this because
- 18:07we've seen him actually laugh right like when he actually corpses when he loses it.
- 18:11It's nothing like his fake laugh. Stevie does not have a fake laugh.
- 18:17I don't know what you hear is what you get. Period. Yeah,
- 18:22that's awesome, Thank you, justin as much. Anytime you want to
- 18:27compliment me, man, anytime, those lines are always open for you.
- 18:33The rest of us, you know, were, I mean, they're here
- 18:34too. We're not um apparently apparently we are. No, No, can't,
- 18:41can't can't hold up against Stevie's laugh. I don't have as good a
- 18:44laugh. I do enjoy laughing, but it's not it's not as your life
- 18:48is good. Well, it doesn't. Doesn't make people laughlete heres does?
- 18:52That's okay, it's a good laugh though, it's you know what, you
- 18:56know what. Nobody's the complete package. That's true. You know, it's
- 18:59fine. Yeah, I'm allowed to have some weeks. You're allowed to have
- 19:02like one flaw, you know, I mean one? I mean god,
- 19:06Now you can put published author on triangle shaped butthole. How do you get
- 19:15it to mold that way? I want to know, what do you do
- 19:18get like a lit You sure it's not like a spear cookie cutter you just
- 19:21stuck up in there. I just put little pyramids, little pyramids. Do
- 19:32you leave him out in the sunset a dry and turn white? I hadn't
- 19:34thought of that, honestly. I bet you could sell us for like a
- 19:37bucket piece. Yeah. Sure, just let him solidify and little little made,
- 19:42homemade, organically made, organic, artisanal pyramids do not eat. So
- 19:56if you got a square ship butthole and you'd like to let us go,
- 20:03oh my god, you're gonna be upod message. Aggie's head is headed in
- 20:12his hands for a disproportionate amount of this episode, ladies. That's what happens
- 20:18when you give me weed. Technically, wasn't his fault. I was leading.
- 20:25Came up with the square end, true son for this weeds fault.
- 20:33You leave weed out of this anyway. So, um Stevie, what's been
- 20:41going on? Man? Oh my gosh, dude? Stuff? Um Aside
- 20:48from playing Payday and deep Lock Rock Deep Rock Galactic with deep Cock Galactic with
- 20:55Aggie, check out the only fans um uh, I've been streaming more again.
- 21:02I've been jumping on switch and on kick. Yeah, it's all right.
- 21:07I don't know it's different. It's like all the others. Really,
- 21:10there's nothing really different from us. I can tell. They're all They're all
- 21:12even set up practically the same way. Yeah, it's just another venue.
- 21:15So yeah, I've been jumping on there for the call of duty and um
- 21:21we've done some payday streams, some deep rock streams and stuff like that.
- 21:26Um. Other than that, I'm playing on my switch again, my Nintendo
- 21:29switch. Yeah. And speaking of Augie earlier or earlier when Augie said deleting
- 21:34a safe file, I have high Roll Warriors or high roll Legends on there
- 21:38where you go through just beat the shit out of motherfuckers like that's that's all
- 21:41it is, a straight up beat them up with like thousands of motherfucker's corpses,
- 21:45like that's all it is. And when it set the legend of all
- 21:48the Dynasty Warriors series ever, was really right. Another one, the first
- 21:52one came out the Arcade and that game was fucking phenomenal and I got hugged
- 21:56really quick, you know. I was like, especially as an arcade game
- 21:57now when you can play for a while like fifty cents, you know,
- 22:00yeah. When it came out with the Legend of Zelda version to High Rule
- 22:03one, I was like, ah, brain just exploded, and shit,
- 22:07I'm like okay, yeah, and right away, like the first light,
- 22:08you get linked instantaneously, and then if you had a special edition or something,
- 22:11you got some special clothes. Apparently I bought a special edition. I
- 22:15don't remember, but I got special clothes and shit and special swords and it's
- 22:18fucking neat, Like it's been a lot of fun. So I went through
- 22:21and deleted my safe file because I was like, fuck it, let's start
- 22:23over, Mitch, because I haven't played it in like a year, so
- 22:26I was pretty far apparently too, I didn't realize that until I started up
- 22:30and I'm like, oh wow, I have nothing this game. Wow level
- 22:34one and no weapons. This sucks. But I've been going through it just
- 22:38playing for like I think I only played for like three hours this week,
- 22:41but three hours on the switch playing that game was brought back so much joy
- 22:47to me. Dude. It was so cool just going because it's link man,
- 22:49and you get the fucking level him up and shit, like I love
- 22:53throwing the RPG version. I mean, I know, Legend a Zelda was
- 22:56an RPG, but the leveling version of this now onto it, with the
- 23:00ability to get different types of weapons, just made it so much better than
- 23:03me. That was just fun. I'm really enjoying that. Um And aside
- 23:08from gaming and cleaning and getting the freaking stuff ready for the crops this year
- 23:15kind a motorcycle and I've been riding at every nice day we've been getting,
- 23:19which hasn't been a lot. It's only been like seven. It sucks,
- 23:23it's so cold still, but it's nice. Yeah, I got a CF
- 23:26Moto three hundred. It's a naked bike, so not like that one.
- 23:34It doesn't have all the attachments that most motorcycles do. It doesn't have a
- 23:37windshield, doesn't have all the extra of like fairings and the plastic on the
- 23:41top of it and stuff, so it's stripped down with the exception of the
- 23:47LED panel on the front, on the top the display panel. It has
- 23:51a sport mode and eco mode on top of it as GPS on its owner
- 23:55shit, so consider it as a naked bike, has all the owner features,
- 23:59which I will actually use a luck because I don't know where the fuck
- 24:00I am half the time. I used it today to get back home so
- 24:11quietly that did happen. We live in the country. And I took off
- 24:18and I was like, whatever, it's fifty five years so I'm just like
- 24:19going. I'm trying to get used to going fifty five on a motorcycle,
- 24:22specifically one without a windshield. It's it's a lot of wind hit you in
- 24:26the chest and in the face. Obviously, I mean I have a full
- 24:27mask, but still it's a lot of pressure on you when you're going that
- 24:30fast. So I was just going for a while and I was like,
- 24:33all right, well, I'm getting a little tirer from the wind, so
- 24:34let's turn down this road. All right, cool, let's go down this
- 24:37And I'm like, I was like, where the fuck am I don't,
- 24:41like, seriously didn't know where. I mean, I had an idea.
- 24:44I'm sure if I went like straight this way and made a right, i'd
- 24:45be kind of close and I'd probably find my spot. But I was like,
- 24:48all right, let's pull over and try this nap thing. So I
- 24:52pulled over and I grabbed my phone and I gets connected to it and I
- 24:53punched in the address and I put it back in my pocket, pop right
- 24:57up on the screen like fucking turn here like quarter vial I was. I
- 25:00was like, this is fucking neat, dude, so fucking so I got
- 25:06to use my GPS today. Was just made me happy. But it's cool.
- 25:11I'm really I'm really enjoying the bike and I missed the speed man coming
- 25:14from having sports cars and not being able to like drive anywhere, dude,
- 25:19shit, And I'm like, having this freedom just to jump on there and
- 25:22just go is so nice. I'm missing it so much, It's awesome.
- 25:27I'm like a lot after this. Yeah, I know a lot of people
- 25:30I know who bike say similar things like that, it's just a it's a
- 25:34symbol of freedom, so to speak. Um and yeah, yeah, it's
- 25:40it's not really my thing. When I was in my twenties, I kind
- 25:44of wish I had a bike riding experience because a lot of acting employment was
- 25:49looking for it at the time. Yeah, it actually makes sense. Yeah,
- 25:52but sadly this is nah Son No, I mean, I get it,
- 25:57but I don't know. It's it's nice and it's cheap and it gets
- 26:00harder. Nate miles a gallon, so fuck yeah, but I don't think
- 26:04I do gallons all right, And I guess last to go over what they've
- 26:11been doing is me uma. As frequent listeners to the show will know,
- 26:15I'm in the middle of publishing my first novel. I'm still waiting for my
- 26:18publishing company to get set up in their new location before we move forward with
- 26:23contracts. But everything's looking good, so it definitely looks like this is going
- 26:30to happen. It's just a matter of time. And the meanwhile, I've
- 26:33been working real hard on novel number two, Awesome, which it u one
- 26:41of the biggest characters in that novel is going to be the character that I
- 26:47based on Stevie from the first novel. So if this one also goes to
- 26:52audiobook, you're gonna be putting a lot of fucking works on. Deal,
- 26:56sir, deal. But I guarantee you are going to have even more fun
- 27:00voicing this version of that character than the first one. The first one has
- 27:06a lot of fun. There's a lot of good stuff. Yes, there's
- 27:10he's got he's got all the best there's range, he's got, he's got
- 27:12all the best jokes. But he also has some emotional moments that are gonna
- 27:17be It's gonna be interesting to see you act out because I've never seen you
- 27:21do act seriously in a dramatic manner. But having said that, I know
- 27:26you can do it, so I am excited to see that. Having said
- 27:30that, this second book, your character is something special, I don't I
- 27:38don't want to ruin it. I don't want to ruin it. But it
- 27:42might be the most fun you've ever had playing a role in your life.
- 27:47Serious, serious, Yeah, it's this should be a lot of fun.
- 27:55And I'll explain in more detail at a much later date, but as as
- 27:59we're still in the early I've written like six chapters plus the prologue. I'm
- 28:03still very much in the early stages. But yeah, I'm excited you're gonna
- 28:10love I'm fairly certain. Yeah. Um. And other than that, which
- 28:15I sadly can't talk about too too much more, Um, I've just been
- 28:18just been chilling and relaxing, trying to put together new shows, trying to
- 28:22put together plans. We've got a trip planned yea, which is gonna be
- 28:26super fun. I really looking forward to it. I cannot wait for a
- 28:30vacation. I hate my jobs so much. I'm sorry. Um, And
- 28:34eventually I'll be free of it one way or another, But for now,
- 28:40A vacation is desperately desired. So at the end of the month, start
- 28:44of next month, for a little birthday present, I'm taking myself and Stevie
- 28:47down to Philadelphia. Yes, and we are going to have ourselves a great
- 28:52time meeting some new friends. I say new, um, but Caroline from
- 28:57the Ultra I hope girls gonna hang out with her. That is going to
- 29:00be an absolute blast. I guarantee it. Super excited about that. Probably
- 29:06going to be recording a bunch of stuff while we're at it. Yes,
- 29:08Uh, we're planning. We're planning to show ourselves and Augie's got a plan
- 29:12for a show while we're away. Yeah. I'm really looking forward to see
- 29:15what he comes up with. I can't wait for it either. Finally,
- 29:22he's like control the show and both of these idiots to have the power.
- 29:30Watch it be the smartest episode. Like the show, it's gonna be the
- 29:33unfunniest. Yeah, everybody loves it and we're like like the whole time.
- 29:42I mean it makes sense we're the old hands all year. As a new
- 29:48host, we still want some part of it. I'm not I'm not doing
- 29:53that to him. You just just started full time again for the first time.
- 29:57How long. That's hard. It's hard, So I let him do
- 30:02his thing. Um. But anyway, as far as anything else I got
- 30:07up to this week, I basically mentioned before we started recording, I just
- 30:12when I knew we were doing a chill show this weekend, I was just
- 30:15like, fuck, just relaxed, just take the edge off, enjoy because
- 30:18work was particularly hard on me this week, and I just I just zoned
- 30:25out and I dove into a game I haven't played in several years called Fear
- 30:30Effect for the original PlayStation. Yes, now you may remember this game from
- 30:34the ads. The ads were the most controversial thing about it because they were
- 30:41honestly immature as shit. Um And it was even worse for the second game,
- 30:47which was really deeply disappointing because here we have like one of the first
- 30:53video games that I can think of with an openly gay protagonist so or or
- 31:03at the very least bisexual rum And it's a really fascinating story. Delving into
- 31:11um, like the Chinese afterlife and their beliefs and how afterlife works is a
- 31:18huge part of the story of that game. So that game is actually really
- 31:22good and really intelligent and really progressive and forward thinking and it's fun, and
- 31:30people avoided it because the ads were like, she got big boobs, she
- 31:37got big boobs, she got a lesbian friend. They both gotten the big
- 31:41boobs, enjoyed a big mooms please, and people were like, no,
- 31:45that looks dumb as hell, and they gave it a pass, even even
- 31:47though it even though it was popular enough to get a sequel like I Feel
- 31:52like and the sequel is also got a really deep story, but it delves
- 31:56more into Chinese mythology than the afterlife, so it's more of a market kind
- 32:00of thing, but the marketing kind of misrepresented the hell out of the game.
- 32:06Yes, there is a bit of sexiness in the game itself. Any
- 32:10actual overt you know, sex x No, nothing explicit, nothing is shown.
- 32:15Um, the two girls flirt like that is pretty much the most of
- 32:20it. So yeah, like like like and yes, they are built like
- 32:25brickshit houses. They are built like porn stars. Yes, because all the
- 32:30PlayStation games were doing that, with the exception of Parasite eb I guess.
- 32:35But like if you if you scratch the surface of that game, you don't
- 32:42just get more surface. There's a lot going on. There's a lot going
- 32:46onto these games, so I love them. I genuinely, open heart,
- 32:50with no apologies, genuinely loves these games. And I was digging back into
- 32:54it last night and having an absolute blast doing it. So if you have
- 33:00the means to check it out yourself, I do give a recommend. I
- 33:05might give the the the most recent sequel, Fear Effect Sedna a bit of
- 33:09a pass um because it is not as good. It was made by an
- 33:15entirely different company. They basically bought the rights from the originals UM, and
- 33:20it's more of a strategy RPG than it is a like like survival horror actioner
- 33:29stealth actioner is what what what? The first two games were more like UM,
- 33:34but the the third game switched perspectives to like an overhead and it's it
- 33:39doesn't have the same wit, it doesn't have the same voice actress, doesn't
- 33:43have the same writing, it doesn't have the same cool story. It's just
- 33:46kind of it's kind of a let Fear Effect Sedna was a letdown on pretty
- 33:52much all fronts UM, which is unfortunate, but uh, you know,
- 33:57I was just glad to see the game come back in some form. Hopefully
- 34:00it comes back again at some point, but in something much more true to
- 34:04the original source material. But you know, who knows if that will ever
- 34:08happen. Who knows. But I think we've done enough for part two.
- 34:12Should we come back and part three after a break? All right, so
- 34:17we'll see you in a few right after this, let's get to weed.
- 34:35Hey. I'm Lauren and I'm John and we host the beard All Podcast,
- 34:38the podcast where we talk about two of the greatest things in the world,
- 34:42beer and weird al and a lot of other things. We're funny. Yeah,
- 34:46that's basically what I told him to say. Good job with yay,
- 34:52but no, seriously, we try and care of beer weird ol song and
- 34:58talk about both things and go the conversation takes us. It's fun. I
- 35:01promise you'll like it. Yeah, I mean if you like talking about random
- 35:07things as well as you know, fine craft beers and some wonderful craft music.
- 35:23Hey man, welcome back. It's time for part three of our chill
- 35:29Show. Um, as we've already covered all the stuff that we've been doing
- 35:32lately, we don't really have anything planned for part three, so we're just
- 35:37gonna play some no more bastards. Oh shit, fucking all right, So,
- 35:44uh long time fans of the show will remember. The way this works
- 35:47is something of a They call it a gentleman's game in England, and it's
- 35:53it's it's taken more or less from the game No More Jockeys, played famously
- 35:59by Alex Horn, Tim Key and Mark Watson on YouTube, and it is
- 36:05a very very simple game. You simply mention a person, whether real,
- 36:08fictional, live dead, whatever, doesn't matter. Name a person, and
- 36:14then name a category that they belong to that nobody else is allowed to name
- 36:20a person from ever again for the rest of the game. So for example,
- 36:24I could say, I could say Stevie, No more podcasters, so
- 36:30no one would be allowed to mention anyone who does a podcast. But if
- 36:35somebody mentions the name and you think they might have done a podcast, you
- 36:37can challenge that answer, challenge you, and then you immediately look up to
- 36:43see whether or not that person has done a podcast in the past, and
- 36:46if it turns out they have, the person who named that person is eliminated
- 36:51from the game, and we keep playing until there's only one player standing.
- 36:53So for three players typically doesn't last very long, but it's usually good enough
- 36:58for a section of our show. Let's hope. So uh so, yeah,
- 37:02we're gonna get straight into it. There are a couple more rules,
- 37:06but they're pretty incidental. Um. It's things like if you name a category
- 37:10that the others field doesn't really fit that person, they can challenge that and
- 37:15force that person to come up with a new one. But it doesn't cost
- 37:17them anything. It doesn't remove them from the game. They just have to
- 37:20change the category they used. You're also not allowed to use extremely wide categories,
- 37:27things like people who breathe, all men, all women, all you
- 37:32know, all dead people would be the fucking lot. So yeah, so
- 37:39anything that cuts off fifty percent of the population or more about is not an
- 37:46acceptable thing, right. Uh. This is specifically designed to make the game
- 37:52last a reasonable amount of time and also just just not be unfair. Right,
- 37:59Just sorry, everybody you were thinking of you're done. People who have
- 38:07existed at some point, Yeah, that would be an illegal thing. Anyway.
- 38:12Uh, shall we get to it. I don't remember who won last
- 38:15game, does it? Agu one last would alight? Then Augie will go
- 38:20first, one of you two. Um, I'm perfectly fine with saying it's
- 38:25Aggie. Okay, so Augie, you get free rein literally anybody. I
- 38:31can choose any anyone at all and name any category one and we'll get started.
- 38:43Now do I say something that just immediately fucks myself. I start easy
- 38:51the minute it comes back around. Dude, start easy, That's what I'm
- 38:52doing. Okay, Batman, Okay, okay, Batman. No more comic
- 39:00book heroes, Okay, no more comic book heroes. Well, you sort
- 39:06of a bitch. You actually got rid of mine now because technically he was
- 39:08of a comic He's a comic book. Comic book, he said, Comic
- 39:13book heroes. Yeah, yeah, I'm not taking a chance, not now.
- 39:19I'm not losing after the first characters, I said, heroes. There,
- 39:24can you show a comic book villain? Yeah, but if they ever
- 39:28came over to the good size, I'm not fucking around with that. S
- 39:31okay, So no comic um man, it actually fucked up a lot of
- 39:37the shit I was hoping the plan for what's going with Oh no, he
- 39:43was like a motherfucker A surprising amount of people. Um, I'd say,
- 39:51not fifty percent of the population though, No. Um So I'm gonna allow
- 39:54it. Yeah I will too. I'll go a little Alex Horn like little
- 40:00Alex Horn. Yes, pretty sure he hasn't been in a comic It's pretty
- 40:04sure, all right, but I'm not gonna I'm not gonna challenge that one.
- 40:08I'm like coal, Um, go ahead, no more? Can we
- 40:15go with co hosts? Is that too broad? I like co hosts because
- 40:22it's not the main It means you can still name someone who is a soul
- 40:28host of a show, but anyone who hosts a show with anyone else or
- 40:31any amount of other people would be bad. So yeah, no, I
- 40:36like that. Cool? Cool? Do you want to go with that?
- 40:37No more cost no more no more comic book heroes, and no more co
- 40:43hosts. Well that eliminates my answer. Wow, how fast it already?
- 40:49Just it's fucking nuts. Um m m man, I am going to go
- 41:04with um yeah, let's go with uh Sam from Cheers? Uh no more
- 41:20bartenders? Cool? All right. So now we've done a full cycle,
- 41:28I'm gonna do this is the only time I'm gonna do this. We're gonna
- 41:30do a rundown of the categories that have presented. So okay, no,
- 41:35mor no, this is the only time we're gonna do this time. No
- 41:37more comic book heroes, no more co hosts and no more bartenders. Um.
- 41:44The reason I bring this up is because we're probably stepping into challenge territory.
- 41:46And there's one more rule I forgot to mention. Each player has two
- 41:51free challenges, meaning they can challenge, and if it turns out that challenge
- 41:55is incorrect and the person survives, uh, they lose one of their free
- 42:00challenges and they get too because if they challenge a third time and they're wrong
- 42:06again, at that point you are out of the game. So instead of
- 42:10them getting gone, you get gone, right, So it forces players to
- 42:15think carefully about when they decide to challenge. Um. So, anyway,
- 42:21now that I've said all that, Augie, you are next up. Shit.
- 42:25Oh man, Now I really think who was in what and did where?
- 42:34Shure ah Um, It's very difficult, I know, right, I'm
- 42:38like trying to choose just someone. Um frick ah. I know it's very
- 42:53difficult to pick anything out now. Oh uh no, that would work,
- 43:06dang it. Uh. I can't remember the name of that judge's name.
- 43:13Freak. I am drawing so many blanks are funny anymore. You just need
- 43:19a name. I just need a name. Give her name. Just give
- 43:22her name. Oh, God, I can't even use um. Fuck yeah,
- 43:30I knew this was gonna go south for me real quick. It always
- 43:34does, no matter how comic book heroes. Sir. Right, I'll tell
- 43:44you when if I remember what it is later. Okay, So, oh,
- 43:51fucking drawing blanks on everybody? Uh, Secretary Anthony blinken Um? No
- 44:00more? Uh? Government agents? Government agents? A federal agents, I
- 44:12don't Secretary anthe Lincoln secretary Defense, secretary of Defense. So he's not really
- 44:19an agent. What's the word I'm thinking he's he's he's he's ahead of an
- 44:23agency head of an agent ahead of it. No more agency heads. Okay,
- 44:34I can accept that. I can accept that. That's fair Jesus,
- 44:37all right, dominic the Christmas donkey fuck y'all. I know I took me
- 44:49hour. He gets that in like two seconds? God damnit. No more
- 44:52songs or no more people that have songs? Is that too broad? No
- 45:01more? Okay? I guess it would be characters that are from songs.
- 45:10How's that? So they're they're like Rudolph would be from a song. No
- 45:15more characters derived from something? Yeah like that? Okay, cool, cool,
- 45:20all right, it's hard to word that. One probably I'm gonna go
- 45:24with Sean Bean. Sean Bean. I know Jan He's gonna say, you
- 45:30don't know what John Bean is. I don't know a lot of people were,
- 45:34Um he was boro Mere, Lord of the Rings. Um he is
- 45:40famous for dying on screen a whole lot. Yeah really, I think because
- 45:45he was. He was net Stark in Game of Thrones as well. Oh
- 45:47no shit, oh yeah that guy. I might challenge you do it though,
- 45:53Yeah, free one fucking let's get this game interesting. Let's challenge Aaron
- 45:58on the grounds that what's his nuts name? Can? I have to look
- 46:00up his name here, Sean Bean, it's really easy. A N S
- 46:04A N b E A N s. Yeah, they think they think he's
- 46:08currents would have been like, no, it's pronounced sheen Bean. Google anything.
- 46:15You have to tell me what your challenges. I'm challenged him, as
- 46:20you ever co hosted Saltman, I'm gonna say, Saturday Night Live? Can
- 46:23you have co hosts on Saturday Night Live? They're hosts and they're all co
- 46:27host right, there's no lead host. Nah. I would argue that.
- 46:31I would argue that unless he hosted Saturday Night Live with someone, he's the
- 46:36solo host. On Saturday, all of them. They also always referred to
- 46:38them as hosts that co host yeah okay first, yeah, yeah, damn
- 46:45okay, but I mean he still could have co hosted. He's still could
- 46:50have co hosted somewhere, but definitely I'll just do it quick, all right,
- 46:54He's doing it. It's an official challenge. Sean Bean has co hosted
- 46:59something. So there's a theory saying I don't believe he has. He always
- 47:02dies in his films because his name should should rhyme, but it doesn't.
- 47:07Oh no, no co star yeah, co starring. Yeah damn. I
- 47:22really thought I was gonna get it. What the fuck he said in a
- 47:23live thing. That's why I did that. I mean it was just a
- 47:29free basis. Yeah, let yeah okay, So that's one free challenge gone
- 47:35from TV. He's got one left. Um. Yeah. I was pretty
- 47:38sure he'd only ever. I didn't think he'd ever actually hosted something, but
- 47:42it turns out he did host the Waterloo special for History UK. Um.
- 47:46However, he was a solo host, so cool cool um. But yeah,
- 47:52that's the only thing I can find that that mentions him hosting anything.
- 47:55So yeah, that's done. Uh, and we will move on, and
- 48:00I'll give a category for sean Bean. People whose names look like they should
- 48:04rhyme but don't. Yeah, I love people whose names look like I should
- 48:10rhyme but don't. Have fun. I love introducing a little word and grammar
- 48:21ones because it makes Cev's heads positively smile. Man, it's like I think
- 48:28of a name that I had to do math and letters. All right,
- 48:31Augie, you're up next, Augie Doggie. And he gets away with it.
- 48:39Oh, he doesn't challenge. Okay, okay, is a co host?
- 48:45Is he Aggie Doggie as a co host? Do you not introduce Aggie
- 48:47Doggie. I'm the host of this show, Sarah. Let me no,
- 48:52no, no, let me specify. Guy, I was talking about Augie
- 48:57Doggie as in the cartoon character Aggy Doggy. No, I'm Augie Doggy zero
- 49:01eight. I figured you just met you, like I would say, I
- 49:05was going to say, even so I would probably fight you on that.
- 49:07I don't think Aggie's ever co hosted this show. I know he hosted it
- 49:13once. Well, what about these ones where we just hang out and ship?
- 49:16Well, I'm still the leader of the back. Oh no, he's
- 49:20still listening on the site as a co host. Well, I can take
- 49:23it away if you want. If I'll take it away, if you put
- 49:25it, you're just part of the show. Well, considering he wasn't talking
- 49:30about himself, I'm not gonna take it right right unless you decide to challenge
- 49:35for Augie Doggie the cartoon. Oh, let's see right away. But Augie
- 49:42Doggie and Daddy Doggie? Were they? Dog? Looks doggy Daddy? I
- 49:50don't know. You're in a comic book and a comic strip. Done?
- 49:54Done done? Are you going to This is a tough one. No,
- 49:58I'm not this one alone. Nothing jumps out of me, so I'm gonna
- 50:02leave it. A comic book is a possibility, but it's it seems a
- 50:06little distant. So I'm like, I'm probably not gonna touch that. Mm
- 50:09hmm. Okay, Stevie's still thinking about it. Cole book hero can't do
- 50:16that? Does he want to challenge? Oh? No, I said,
- 50:20no, said Aggie. No more cartoon animals. Cartoon animals? Well you're
- 50:29a dick. Good Okay, you have cartoon humans? Yeah? All right,
- 50:37Uh, Stevie, you're up shredder shredder m from the intertals. Okay,
- 50:51Okay, ll not hero Rye. His name is only one, so
- 50:57I don't have to worry about that shit. Yeah, but has he ever
- 51:01tended a bar? Any guys want to try about? Do drink? The
- 51:06secret of the ooze is his last name? Kneader? Oh my god,
- 51:15yes, shredder eater sera Japanese name. Um kind of giant ardillo. If
- 51:23you're asking me, I'm not challenging, cool cool. I can't think of
- 51:28anything. No, no, okay, uh no more comic villains. There
- 51:36you go. I got the other half. Okay, suck a bitch.
- 51:43Um. The problem is, I don't know if there was a comic book
- 51:46with them. It's so hard to figure that part out. He said,
- 51:50comic and the comic book he said, comic book. I WoT with that,
- 51:52and so I didn't do comic strip, So there is that difference.
- 51:57I think it's entirely possible, son of a bitch. Now what uh uh
- 52:14No, I can't, I can't. Um, let's just go with Let's
- 52:23go with Chiana from Far Escape. Okay, uh and I'm gonna say no
- 52:32more monochromatic characters. Back and white. She is her entire body is one
- 52:42color. Yeah. M hmm that's she didn't host karaoke, night host or
- 52:51anything. Britta. Sure not. Not a bartender, not a tender on
- 52:55the ship. She's she's been to a lot of bars. Don't think she's
- 52:59ever ten one. Do you think there's a Far Escape comic book? No,
- 53:01damn, but yeah I didn't think so either. We got the extra
- 53:06challenge it pretty sure I would have heard about that. There is all right,
- 53:09three full rounds down. I'm sorry, h No more monochromatic characters.
- 53:17Characters who are only one cop? Oh man, you do, hoggy,
- 53:27you're up? Yeah? Her hair and her skin are all white. Oh
- 53:34yeah, that one. I know who she? Okay? Cool? A
- 53:37robot? No? You sure? What the fuck? It doesn't want to
- 53:47like the ships alive? Yes, okay, cool? I figured something new.
- 53:52Something I was star Escape Far Far Escape. Stars genuinely feel bad for
- 54:00you that you've never experienced. First, everybody bad because it ended all quick
- 54:05and shit. No oh, we wanted them to get a you know,
- 54:09a finish for it, because it did kind of at the end of season
- 54:13four. But they did a miniseries called The Peacekeeper Wars and it ties up
- 54:16everything beautifully. Oh well, fantastic, Okay, then I guess it wouldn't
- 54:21be bad to watch, but I was just like, I wouldn't want to
- 54:22watch. I was like, everybody bitched about this when I watch, we
- 54:27bitched about it, and they eventually made an ending. Also, okay,
- 54:30so trying to remember all the fucking things you were already Yeah, I know,
- 54:36good luck. I was like trying to drop both of you out for
- 54:37like the last two minutes. Uh oh god, Um, what would be
- 54:44safe to say now? Nothing? Nothing? Nothing safe? Yes? Pass
- 54:52no um. Roger from American Dad. He one Color challenge. He's an
- 55:02al, he's gray, he's all great. I thought, ah, yeah,
- 55:07Roger, very well. Yeah, I wanted this end. Sorry,
- 55:10no, it was a good shot. I was sitting here going out for
- 55:15some reason. I was thinking that was the name of the data out American
- 55:17Data Alas not one Color, and then said I'm like, oh shit,
- 55:22yeah he is. Sorry dude, he is good call, good catch.
- 55:25Yes it is share hey bucket term back to challenge. She's co hosted something
- 55:37I'll bet, I'll I'll bet almost anything. So there is a sunny and
- 55:43share. She wasn't on the view. Here's somebody different in case you missed
- 55:57it, legendary singers. Share was the co host on The Kelly Clarkson Show
- 56:00on Friday December third, twenty twenty two. Oh that's bowl right word in
- 56:10nineteen seventy four, although they appeared as co hosts of another television show in
- 56:15nineteen twenty six and seventy. That's the Encyclopedia Britannica entry on Sunny and Share.
- 56:22The Real Share died like forever ago, No, no, sorry,
- 56:25you you lose. You're eliminated, and I fucking win each shit trying to
- 56:37wrigle out of it, and you're like, I want this to be over,
- 56:39Like, no, you don't. If you're fighting back, you're right.
- 56:44You wanted to be over, but you wanted to win. There's a
- 56:45difference. I want bulls. Yeah I was. I was running out of
- 56:50ideas. Thank god. That was stressful. I was like, why why
- 56:53does it get so cutthroat so fast? It's because it's the end of the
- 57:00episode two, and it's we should try it at the beginning once and see
- 57:05what happens and try to wind down from it. Let's see what happens.
