- 0:02Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning. Welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 0:05Speaker 2: The sun is shining and it means it's Thursday and
- 0:08Speaker 2: it's car Talk Day. We've got Brad Dungeons and he
- 0:11Speaker 2: brought for you morning Tom.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I did.
- 0:13Speaker 3: I've got my good friends Denise Tucker and Melody Cox
- 0:17Speaker 3: from Concern, one of our long term favorite organizations in Bartlesville.
- 0:24Speaker 3: And you guys do such a good work sixty years
- 0:30Speaker 3: and that's pretty amazing. That's a good start, helped a
- 0:36Speaker 3: lot of people through.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Those years we have.
- 0:39Speaker 3: It's one of those things and you have a big
- 0:41Speaker 3: event coming up in a few weeks, the Annual lip
- 0:46Speaker 3: Sync Battle. Five years of that. Now that that's unique.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Some of the different songs that are already picked out.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Some entertainment, the entertainers picked their own songs, and you
- 1:02Speaker 3: just throw okay.
- 1:05Speaker 5: Yeah, we're gonna have a good mix this year.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 4: I think we are too.
- 1:08Speaker 6: I think we've got some Lady Gaga in there and
- 1:11Speaker 6: some fl Mode.
- 1:12Speaker 1: And is it hard to get people to volunteer and
- 1:15Speaker 1: you have to twist arms much time?
- 1:17Speaker 4: So the first year, I think at least my husband
- 1:20Speaker 4: was volunteered.
- 1:22Speaker 6: Did Billy Ray Cyrus that you're breaking Heart, But ever
- 1:26Speaker 6: since then it's pretty much. So we have some loyal
- 1:29Speaker 6: people like Mike. Robert's been in it a few years.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And I bet Tom could do it.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Tom's very talented anyway, but.
- 1:48Speaker 1: They probably don't want me doing it, that's my opinion.
- 1:50Speaker 4: The beautiful part is that you don't actually have.
- 1:52Speaker 1: To see you just yeah.
- 1:58Speaker 3: It is one of those things that you got to
- 2:00Speaker 3: kind of pretend to say, yeah, so you need a
- 2:05Speaker 3: little bit.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Of ham in you. I think probably I got that covered.
- 2:12Speaker 3: At this great event, the Battle in Barlsville is coming
- 2:15Speaker 3: up September twelfth at the Hilton Garden.
- 2:18Speaker 1: End six pm. Get dinner and exciting entertainment.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Going to do a taco bar. Yeah, taco bar and
- 2:27Speaker 4: really no.
- 2:30Speaker 3: That's great stuff, no doubt. And of course back to
- 2:34Speaker 3: concern itself, which is this is this organization he said,
- 2:37Speaker 3: is nearly sixty years old. You know, through my life
- 2:40Speaker 3: I've heard lots of stories about my grandmother and her
- 2:44Speaker 3: involvement and the churches united and bringing it together. And
- 2:50Speaker 3: you know, well you you mentioned just sixty years and
- 2:54Speaker 3: I'm going to see if I can connect you with
- 2:56Speaker 3: my uncle Bob and get him to come and bring
- 2:58Speaker 3: bring some more fact that story.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Someone I remember.
- 3:05Speaker 5: We've got records and we've got all the news articles,
- 3:08Speaker 5: but nothing is like getting sitting with somebody who has
- 3:11Speaker 5: that living memory.
- 3:12Speaker 4: Yeah you can share those stories.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Yeah, those things I know. You know.
- 3:17Speaker 3: It was a bunch of friends, I mean in Bartlesville.
- 3:22Speaker 4: From different churches, different churches. That's the main thing.
- 3:25Speaker 5: That's what's so unique is it's coming together just across denominations.
- 3:32Speaker 5: People saw a neat and they said, let's work together
- 3:35Speaker 5: to take care of the sneaed, to take care of
- 3:37Speaker 5: our neighbors.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And then and what did Concern too? So I tell us,
- 3:41Speaker 1: let's talk about the mission and how you support people.
- 3:43Speaker 4: So we're a food bank.
- 3:45Speaker 6: Concern originally started a daycare, which we don't have anymore,
- 3:49Speaker 6: but we still do food, We do financial assistance. Now
- 3:55Speaker 6: I feel like I'm thinking of not things. We help
- 3:57Speaker 6: with Christmas toys. We also to Thanksgiving Basket. We serve
- 4:01Speaker 6: around two hundred and twenty five families. Thanksgiving abb supplies
- 4:06Speaker 6: our turkeys and then all the churches. Again, you go
- 4:10Speaker 6: back to the churches, they supplies, They supplies every they
- 4:14Speaker 6: supply everything else.
- 4:16Speaker 4: We also have a representative payee program.
- 4:18Speaker 5: For folks who need a little assistance managing their SSI income.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Okay, well, I mean it is.
- 4:26Speaker 3: It's another example and I say this it seems almost
- 4:29Speaker 3: every week on the show about how Bartlesville has these
- 4:32Speaker 3: great organizations and they fit that need and they find
- 4:36Speaker 3: people to serve. And it's one of the coolest things
- 4:41Speaker 3: about Bartlesville.
- 4:43Speaker 6: Is another really good thing is that most of our
- 4:46Speaker 6: charities here in bartizwell work together.
- 4:48Speaker 3: No, that's what That's part of it, because I mean
- 4:50Speaker 3: I think, no, it's so hard, there's limited resources for everybody,
- 4:56Speaker 3: and fundraising is so critical. And then but and you know,
- 5:01Speaker 3: needs change and evolve. But but you it is kind
- 5:05Speaker 3: of like a puzzle that comes together in Bartlesville where
- 5:08Speaker 3: the different organizations well they you know, it sounds like
- 5:11Speaker 3: they do similar things and they do, but they you know,
- 5:15Speaker 3: they find you know, they find their niche and their
- 5:18Speaker 3: way to find their people they can serve and and
- 5:22Speaker 3: it is one of those uh special things where especially
- 5:26Speaker 3: community our size.
- 5:27Speaker 6: And I think our businesses here like DUNGEU, we couldn't
- 5:32Speaker 6: do what we do if we didn't have sponsors like
- 5:34Speaker 6: you guys, right, you know, like ABM B S Plan turkeys.
- 5:40Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 5:41Speaker 3: And it does take a lot of different organizations and
- 5:44Speaker 3: and you have great sponsors, a lot of the the
- 5:48Speaker 3: names that are on a lot of them, and you know,
- 5:51Speaker 3: so those good A shout out to Truity and DSR
- 5:54Speaker 3: and Conicco, Phillips and we're proud to be sponsors again
- 5:57Speaker 3: and Phillips sixty six or just run here.
- 6:00Speaker 1: But I'm sure.
- 6:01Speaker 6: That those are the those are the bigger sponsors. That
- 6:04Speaker 6: doesn't include some of those smaller rooms.
- 6:06Speaker 5: Yes, we've also got Ascension, Saint John, Jane Phillips, We've
- 6:11Speaker 5: got Gorman Management, and we've got Skyway Honda.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Yeah, awesome.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Again, this is just.
- 6:17Speaker 1: For everybody who wants to help.
- 6:20Speaker 4: There's always a need.
- 6:21Speaker 6: Yeah, and we've always been really blessed with concern that
- 6:24Speaker 6: is between corporate.
- 6:26Speaker 3: And and how do people get involved?
- 6:29Speaker 1: I'm sure.
- 6:30Speaker 3: I mean it takes a lot of volunteers and different
- 6:33Speaker 3: people to help support.
- 6:34Speaker 4: I have been I have been greatly blessed.
- 6:39Speaker 6: When I came in during COVID, I had twenty five volunteers.
- 6:43Speaker 6: I still have almost the exact same volunteers that come
- 6:46Speaker 6: in weekly, not monthly weekly, they come in weekly and
- 6:51Speaker 6: so it's been very they do. So we have we
- 6:55Speaker 6: have people that take care of our intake and our
- 6:57Speaker 6: you know, take care of the clients. Then we have
- 6:59Speaker 6: people that just pack the food, and then I have
- 7:02Speaker 6: people that repackage, so we'll get like a big bag
- 7:04Speaker 6: of sugar and repackage it down the smaller, better cost effective.
- 7:08Speaker 6: And so I have people that come in and do that.
- 7:11Speaker 6: And then we have corporate groups and stuff that come in,
- 7:14Speaker 6: like we've got a day of carry and coming up
- 7:16Speaker 6: tomorrow they're going to repaint some walls and stuff.
- 7:20Speaker 5: So one of our newer programs is delivering to some
- 7:24Speaker 5: of the senior living facilities. We have these USDA boxes
- 7:28Speaker 5: and so that's another opportunity. We have people who will
- 7:31Speaker 5: come on a Friday morning and gather up and deliver it.
- 7:36Speaker 4: And we deliver about seventy five senior boxes. So yeah,
- 7:42Speaker 4: just yeh food.
- 7:43Speaker 6: We take it to them. We call and get their
- 7:45Speaker 6: orders and then we take it to them on a
- 7:46Speaker 6: certain day in time.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So awesome.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Well, it does take a whole community to make these
- 7:53Speaker 3: things come together.
- 7:55Speaker 1: And I've always been fascinated by the lips in Battle.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It's so it's so unique.
- 8:04Speaker 3: It's one of those one of those things that you've got.
- 8:08Speaker 3: You know, I don't know how you thought of this,
- 8:10Speaker 3: but it's might.
- 8:12Speaker 6: Be I will I will shout this out. Mark Wahlburn
- 8:16Speaker 6: at Truity thought of it. He was on the board
- 8:19Speaker 6: at the time and put it out there and he
- 8:22Speaker 6: performed the first year. So yes, he was the inspiration
- 8:27Speaker 6: and then we've won with it since.
- 8:29Speaker 3: So you know, I knew it had to have an origination.
- 8:33Speaker 3: These things those don't happen. So and do you have?
- 8:39Speaker 3: So you've got already got some performers lined up.
- 8:42Speaker 1: And I think so much.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Seven.
- 8:45Speaker 5: Yes, I think you're waiting to hear on the seventh.
- 8:48Speaker 1: How many does it take to fill it up?
- 8:50Speaker 6: We do six, We've done six to eight.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Eight, it's the highest we want to go.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's a taco or as you said, and
- 9:02Speaker 3: got a little bar going on there.
- 9:05Speaker 6: So tickets are seventy five dollars. That includes your meal
- 9:10Speaker 6: to drink tickets and then of course there's always a
- 9:12Speaker 6: cash bar out and it's like I said, at the Hilton.
- 9:15Speaker 6: So they have pretty good bartenders.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Okay, if you need a.
- 9:19Speaker 5: Drink provided by local bakers.
- 9:23Speaker 6: Yes, So Sugarika is lovely they've donated every year, always
- 9:30Speaker 6: donate cookies and then Melodies usually donates.
- 9:33Speaker 4: So yes, it's very very good stuff.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So and of course Tony, you're on the board or the.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Chair now, yes, I'm the board president.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Okay, and everyone has a little different take on chair
- 9:48Speaker 3: or president. But how how did you get involved?
- 9:52Speaker 1: What?
- 9:53Speaker 5: Well? I originally got involved with the church. Every church
- 9:58Speaker 5: is a member of Concern. We'll send a representative to
- 10:01Speaker 5: serve on the board, and that way the church has
- 10:03Speaker 5: a direct connection to what Concern is doing. And from
- 10:07Speaker 5: that group, then you have an executive committee who helps
- 10:11Speaker 5: with some of the decision making and such. So after
- 10:15Speaker 5: serving as a member for several years, uh, there was
- 10:19Speaker 5: a vacancy for the presidency and I was begged. Did
- 10:22Speaker 5: not exactly beg, but I think there were tears, few tears.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I can't say no.
- 10:33Speaker 4: To these people.
- 10:36Speaker 5: I think that's one of the things when you you
- 10:37Speaker 5: come to work at Concern, whether you're a board member
- 10:41Speaker 5: or a volunteer, you don't want to leave that the
- 10:44Speaker 5: work is too good, the people are too fun. It's
- 10:47Speaker 5: it's just a wonderful way to use what God has
- 10:51Speaker 5: given you to serve others.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Very inspiring it is, and I know we've got people
- 10:59Speaker 3: listening out there. Some know what it is and may
- 11:01Speaker 3: have maybe volunteers, others are just finding out about it.
- 11:06Speaker 3: How do they if they want to help? I mean,
- 11:09Speaker 3: obviously they can come to the battle in Bartlesville, but
- 11:14Speaker 3: what else can they do?
- 11:15Speaker 6: I mean, so there's always so I always tell people
- 11:19Speaker 6: to go to concerncares dot com. You can go on
- 11:22Speaker 6: there and see any volunteer opportunities. We try to keep
- 11:26Speaker 6: that updated. And of course there's like a PayPal and
- 11:28Speaker 6: stuff if you need to do monetary, but we can
- 11:32Speaker 6: always use food. We had a lady in Yeah donations.
- 11:37Speaker 6: We had a lady not too long ago that her
- 11:39Speaker 6: birthday party. She says, I don't need presents, everybody being
- 11:42Speaker 6: her food item. We got two hundred and eighty pounds
- 11:45Speaker 6: of food from her birthday party and it was peanut
- 11:48Speaker 6: butter and you know, canned vegetables and stuff. So you know,
- 11:52Speaker 6: if you don't need anything for your birthday and you
- 11:53Speaker 6: want to have something fun, that was a great idea.
- 11:56Speaker 4: She's one of our lovely ladies that did that.
- 11:59Speaker 3: So that's good. And of course Peggy couldn't be here
- 12:03Speaker 3: this time. I was going to say she's going to
- 12:07Speaker 3: be your grandmother.
- 12:10Speaker 6: She's she's preparing to make the very fast drive Klahoma City.
- 12:14Speaker 3: So all right, well, shout out to Peggy and good
- 12:18Speaker 3: luck with that process.
- 12:19Speaker 1: And yeah, it's it's warm.
- 12:22Speaker 3: As you mentioned at the start of the show, Tom,
- 12:24Speaker 3: you know the the the sun is shining, and it's
- 12:28Speaker 3: the weather report said it's going to be the hottest
- 12:30Speaker 3: weather of the year.
- 12:32Speaker 1: But it seems pretty similar to.
- 12:35Speaker 2: You in the porches. You're pretty much set, and I
- 12:40Speaker 2: think we're gonna be there for a couple of weeks.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Und I won't tell you what it feels like.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I know you can look at your phone and
- 12:50Speaker 3: get that somewhere yesterday. Despite all that, we've been very
- 12:57Speaker 3: busy at the dealership. It's been a great August so far.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Are lots of activity. I don't know, sometimes it just
- 13:03Speaker 3: ebbs and flows, but it's been very busy lately.
- 13:06Speaker 4: And he's enjoying her new Highlander.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Good well, I'm glad to hear that.
- 13:10Speaker 3: I know she she raves about it, and that's good
- 13:13Speaker 3: to hear.
- 13:14Speaker 1: That's our goals.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Have happy customers, keep it simple in the process of
- 13:18Speaker 3: selling cars.
- 13:19Speaker 1: You know, I hear from people it seems like almost
- 13:22Speaker 1: every day now that we're.
- 13:25Speaker 3: Just sticking to that is coming through and the customers
- 13:30Speaker 3: appreciate it. It doesn't need to be complicated that the
- 13:34Speaker 3: old stereotype of a car salesman doesn't doesn't necessarily apply it.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Dounge justs we hope and we want to be very
- 13:41Speaker 3: u you know, transparent and straightforward, help you make a decision,
- 13:46Speaker 3: not put pressure on you. Our team's not paid on commission,
- 13:50Speaker 3: so they're not driven to to you know, squeeze out
- 13:53Speaker 3: the last dime of profit. They want to really serve
- 13:57Speaker 3: our customers and are and be a part of the team.
- 14:00Speaker 3: And you know, it's allowed us to attract different kind
- 14:03Speaker 3: of people into the roles and sales and you know,
- 14:06Speaker 3: and that's where we've been selling cars in Oklahoma since
- 14:11Speaker 3: nineteen twenty nine now my family has and so it's
- 14:15Speaker 3: a long legacy and that you know, that's important that
- 14:19Speaker 3: we we've continued to evolve and and you know the
- 14:24Speaker 3: world is changing and we're not blind to that. We
- 14:28Speaker 3: could try to stay on the forefront of technology and
- 14:32Speaker 3: how how did our customers expect and truly try to
- 14:37Speaker 3: match up to that? And uh, you know that we're
- 14:39Speaker 3: at to sit while we're we lean forward. We also
- 14:43Speaker 3: you know we kind of you know, try to keep
- 14:46Speaker 3: it like it always was. You know, we're a single dealership.
- 14:50Speaker 3: We're not a part of a big corporate chain. We
- 14:53Speaker 3: have it's a family throughout the company and lots of
- 14:58Speaker 3: long term employees, people that started there and you have
- 15:02Speaker 3: stayed there their whole careers. And in the body shop
- 15:05Speaker 3: and service and parts, people move around. My Joe Dylan
- 15:11Speaker 3: and a lot of people know Joe. He's been there
- 15:14Speaker 3: over fifty five years.
- 15:15Speaker 4: And now I was about to say.
- 15:19Speaker 3: My car, Yeah, I know Joe is He's great. He
- 15:22Speaker 3: didn't uh it doesn't work on the cars anymore. Run
- 15:26Speaker 3: the body shop. He's done.
- 15:27Speaker 1: He's worked in every department and through the years.
- 15:30Speaker 3: But now he he helps shut all customers around and
- 15:34Speaker 3: does some inventory work and and I had cooks cookies
- 15:37Speaker 3: and popcorn for our customers every day.
- 15:43Speaker 6: It's the fun part when you get to be you know,
- 15:45Speaker 6: you've been there long enough you can.
- 15:46Speaker 4: Just kind of do yeah, a little bit of a
- 15:48Speaker 4: little everything.
- 15:49Speaker 3: But it's part of the you know, having that kind
- 15:51Speaker 3: of a family legacy business and.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Try and keeping it keeping it simple.
- 15:56Speaker 3: You know, it's about values and and what we can
- 16:00Speaker 3: do together as a team, not unlike what what'd you
- 16:03Speaker 3: guys do it Concern And I know it's a little
- 16:07Speaker 3: different in the car business, but at the same time
- 16:10Speaker 3: we're still people and and and how we relate to
- 16:14Speaker 3: each other as in the organization into our customers.
- 16:18Speaker 1: And that's kind of.
- 16:19Speaker 3: The inspiration of Concern when it comes down to it.
- 16:22Speaker 3: That way the churches came together and uh and and
- 16:27Speaker 3: it's so cool that it continues that way and that
- 16:31Speaker 3: you guys that on the board all come from those churches.
- 16:35Speaker 6: And well, it's still amazing that the churches that we
- 16:37Speaker 6: still have that started. You know, we have a few
- 16:41Speaker 6: that we've had a couple of clothes that were original,
- 16:43Speaker 6: but you know, we but they even the legacies when
- 16:47Speaker 6: the churches closed, so we've been blessed and you know
- 16:51Speaker 6: they were like we sold our buildings, so there's some
- 16:54Speaker 6: of them.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Yeah, that's so such a I could say, inspiring story.
- 17:01Speaker 3: And once again, your event is September twelfth at the
- 17:07Speaker 3: Hold and Garden end the Lip Sync Battle in Bartlesville.
- 17:11Speaker 3: It's a casual event, come out, have fun, eat tacos, where.
- 17:17Speaker 4: Your jeans because I will be I'm not just enough.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Hopefully it'll cool off a little by then, right, And
- 17:25Speaker 3: you know, there's what else any other events is this year?
- 17:29Speaker 1: What other fundraisers?
- 17:31Speaker 4: This is the only one we have done this year.
- 17:35Speaker 6: Next year we're probably looking at some different fun things
- 17:39Speaker 6: for the sixtieth, so stay tuned for that. On the
- 17:44Speaker 6: new we kind of everybody's trying to get social media
- 17:49Speaker 6: up and running, and we had a couple of Facebook
- 17:51Speaker 6: pages so we've kind of switched down to just one
- 17:53Speaker 6: at Concern.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Concern of Bartlesville is our new Facebook page.
- 17:57Speaker 6: And I can't tell you the Instagram bad I don't
- 18:00Speaker 6: do Instagram, but yeah, concerncares dot com always has our
- 18:05Speaker 6: updated stuff and we'll be keeping stuff updated, especially with
- 18:11Speaker 6: people like you who has been giving.
- 18:13Speaker 4: To Concern and doing things for Concern for sixty years.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Yeah, so important that we keep this going and make
- 18:21Speaker 3: sure that everybody in town knows about it.
- 18:24Speaker 1: So everyone go get your tickets to the battle in Bartlesville.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Let's support Concern and and bring this, you know, help
- 18:32Speaker 3: raise up our community. It just is, it's a continual
- 18:35Speaker 3: process and for sixty years, that's that's really amazing.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I'm proud of that.
- 18:41Speaker 6: Yes, it's well, like you said, your grandma was part
- 18:44Speaker 6: of the beginning and so it's you know, your generational now.
- 18:49Speaker 4: If you look at it that way.
- 18:51Speaker 1: So cool.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Well, and you've got so much other stuff to talk
- 18:57Speaker 3: about the car dealership. I want to I do want
- 18:59Speaker 3: to mention that we've got one of my guests from
- 19:04Speaker 3: next week showed up that looked like but he maybe
- 19:06Speaker 3: he had a different time. But the baseball team has
- 19:09Speaker 3: done really well this season, the Dungeons, Toyota Indians, it's
- 19:13Speaker 3: what they're called these.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Days, state champs, state champions.
- 19:17Speaker 3: They won for the first time in many decades, about
- 19:21Speaker 3: sixty years. Yes, it's awesome, and you know, so that
- 19:28Speaker 3: we'll have them on. Tony will be on next week.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Hopefully he can come back, and we've got you know,
- 19:36Speaker 3: it's just that that's another part of the legacy, of course,
- 19:39Speaker 3: is being able to sponsor team the team like that
- 19:42Speaker 3: for so long. Yeah, we were honored by Guinness Records
- 19:47Speaker 3: a few years ago for being the longest corporate sponsor
- 19:50Speaker 3: of a sports team in the world.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Wow, isn't that a wild That's really cool, you know, and.
- 19:57Speaker 3: That you think about that's from nineteen forty one, so
- 20:01Speaker 3: it's from the day they got to Bartlesville, my grandparents
- 20:05Speaker 3: they'd come from moved from Tonkaware before over here and
- 20:11Speaker 3: started sponsoring things and starting to help things organizations like
- 20:15Speaker 3: Concern eventually.
- 20:18Speaker 1: So there's more to that story.
- 20:22Speaker 3: A couple other things I wanted to mention while we
- 20:24Speaker 3: still have a few minutes, We've got, for the first
- 20:27Speaker 3: time in a while now a few Toyota certified vehicles.
- 20:30Speaker 3: So this is a special type of vehicle. Certified vehicle.
- 20:35Speaker 3: These are Toyotas that are just a year or two
- 20:39Speaker 3: old up to three or four. They come with a
- 20:43Speaker 3: two year limited warranty, a comprehensive warranty, and then a
- 20:48Speaker 3: seven year hundred thousand mile powertrain warranty, seven year one
- 20:52Speaker 3: hundred thousand mile roadside assistance. So it's a really great
- 20:57Speaker 3: warranty and it all goes from the date of sale.
- 21:01Speaker 3: So you've got a lot of value in those vehicles.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Of course, with Toyotas, it's just a lot of peace
- 21:07Speaker 3: of mind anyway, they're so well made. We've got a
- 21:12Speaker 3: twenty twenty five Toyota Corolla Cross that vehicle when we
- 21:16Speaker 3: has nineteen thousand miles, We've got a twenty twenty four
- 21:20Speaker 3: RAB four Limited all wheel drive with just eighty.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Eight hundred miles, really low mile RAV four, Toyota Tundra.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Twenty five model with SR five Crew Max four wheel
- 21:36Speaker 3: drive with is sixteen thousand miles, and also a four
- 21:41Speaker 3: runner to Towyitto Premium I Force, which is the turbocharged
- 21:49Speaker 3: engine with just ten thousand miles.
- 21:52Speaker 1: That's also a twenty five.
- 21:53Speaker 3: So those all come with those additional warranties.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Somewhere right here I have that. We'll just leave that.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Come check out those vehicles. They're they're very nice. We
- 22:07Speaker 1: got to also have.
- 22:09Speaker 7: Right now a twenty fifteen Lexus small little Lexus RC
- 22:16Speaker 7: three fifty all wheel drive with just forty one thousand miles.
- 22:21Speaker 3: It's a eleven twelve year old vehicle. It's been very
- 22:25Speaker 3: well maintained. It's a beautiful car.
- 22:29Speaker 1: It looks like new car.
- 22:32Speaker 3: It was a local car, which sometimes you know, you
- 22:35Speaker 3: live in Bartlesville, you don't really drive that much and.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Tool around ten you find everything you get to eat.
- 22:43Speaker 3: She ended up getting a brand new RAB for and
- 22:47Speaker 3: so we've been selling more and more of those the
- 22:50Speaker 3: year's gone on, where we have a whole new model
- 22:53Speaker 3: WRAP for and as the year's gone on, we've we're
- 22:56Speaker 3: getting getting more. They're still not staying on the ground
- 22:58Speaker 3: right now. I was looking in the inventory this morning
- 23:01Speaker 3: and all but one of the ones we've been allocated
- 23:04Speaker 3: has been pre sold, but there's still one available and
- 23:07Speaker 3: there's about eight there. So that's how quickly they're turning.
- 23:12Speaker 2: So great, Brad, you told me a story once upon
- 23:15Speaker 2: a time that you had some vehicles coming in and
- 23:19Speaker 2: a couple of them weren't pre sold, but the moment
- 23:22Speaker 2: the tire touched the asphalt, the fellows started writing the check.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Well, let's face it, some people don't want to buy
- 23:28Speaker 3: a car they can't see or.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Well they saw it, imagine it going forward, and they
- 23:35Speaker 2: wrote the.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Check right there.
- 23:37Speaker 3: Well it's that you know, people often ask, what where's
- 23:39Speaker 3: your inventory, and it's it's just this way in Toyota
- 23:43Speaker 3: right now, it's across the entire country. Uh, you got
- 23:47Speaker 3: everybody's turning in our region about ninety of the cars
- 23:51Speaker 3: they have on the ground every month, high hide demand,
- 23:58Speaker 3: low supply, or.
- 24:00Speaker 1: We just can't build it up. Really, And you know,
- 24:03Speaker 1: with the.
- 24:05Speaker 3: The great hybrid systems that we have great fuel economy,
- 24:09Speaker 3: great quality of vehicle.
- 24:11Speaker 1: They definitely last a long time.
- 24:14Speaker 3: They have a great value proposition too, because they maintain
- 24:17Speaker 3: their value so well that even when you're.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Done with them, you know, they're worth more than a
- 24:24Speaker 1: lot of other vehicles and they last forever and they do.
- 24:28Speaker 3: That's it's it's great to see them coming in that way,
- 24:32Speaker 3: and that's you know, and we want to like like
- 24:35Speaker 3: our customers, we don't want your cars to break.
- 24:38Speaker 1: So that's why we're glad to be associated with Toyota
- 24:42Speaker 1: and so you.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Know, and when they are perfect, of course, sometimes they
- 24:45Speaker 3: do have issues, but Toyota stands up to the issues.
- 24:49Speaker 4: And is and they're quick to fix it.
- 24:51Speaker 1: It's quick to fix it.
- 24:52Speaker 3: They do it before they're forced to by recall and
- 24:56Speaker 3: government systems.
- 24:58Speaker 1: They they do they just attack the problem.
- 25:02Speaker 3: And because they're they're they're focused on people and safety. Safety,
- 25:07Speaker 3: And yeah, that's a that's a good point because it
- 25:10Speaker 3: is about safety.
- 25:11Speaker 6: And sometimes it's not necessarily safety issue, but when it's
- 25:14Speaker 6: your breaks, they make sure it's fixed quickly because of
- 25:17Speaker 6: safety issue.
- 25:18Speaker 1: That's right.
- 25:18Speaker 3: And and the whole vehicle is and there's cars now
- 25:21Speaker 3: are so uh, the technology is there to help you
- 25:24Speaker 3: drive your car and sometimes I'm surprised at how much
- 25:28Speaker 3: it can do and all the different things sensors it has.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Line, it will help you stay in line.
- 25:37Speaker 3: It will tell you there's a pedestrian coming from over here,
- 25:42Speaker 3: or or something behind you when you're backing up, and
- 25:45Speaker 3: it's really.
- 25:46Speaker 6: Evolved, which is a person that can't back up, that's
- 25:48Speaker 6: back at Cambros or the best it can be helpful.
- 25:51Speaker 3: We're seeing different kinds of work in the body shop
- 25:55Speaker 3: than we used to with less of that stuff. And
- 25:57Speaker 3: you know, still have things like acts dance that happened,
- 26:01Speaker 3: storm damage and stuff.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Like that, and deer that like to dance. You're in
- 26:06Speaker 1: the We're getting into that scene. Boys.
- 26:09Speaker 4: We say, last night I saw about twelve coming home.
- 26:11Speaker 1: So getting into that season. I'm sure they're warm and
