  about the challenges in Jacob's growing family

  and how jealousy can cause hurt feelings. But

  we also saw that God's love is bigger than our

  struggles. Today, Jacob is making a big decision.

  It's time to leave Haran and go home. But Jacob
• 0:28
  has unfinished business waiting for him. Do you

  remember his brother Esau? What will happen when
• 0:36
  they meet again after all these years? Let's

  find out. Jacob had lived in Haran for many years.

  God had blessed him with a big family, many animals,

  and plenty of servants. But one day, God spoke

  to Jacob. He said, Jacob, it is time for you
• 1:10
  to return to the land of your fathers. I will
• 1:14
  be with you. Jacob knew it was time to go home.

  But remember, when Jacob left his home, Esau
• 1:23
  was very angry because Jacob had taken his blessing.

  Would Esau still be mad? Even though Jacob was
• 1:31
  afraid, he trusted God. He gathered his family,
• 1:36
  his servants, and all his animals, and they began
• 1:40
  the long journey home. But as Jacob's family
• 1:45
  packed their things, Rachel made a secret decision.

  She took something that did not belong to her,
• 1:53
  her father Laban's household idols. These small
• 1:57
  statues were false gods that Laban worshipped.

  So why did Rachel take them? Maybe she thought
• 2:07
  they had power, or maybe she just didn't want
• 2:10
  her father to have them. Whatever her reason,
• 2:14
  Rachel hid the idols without telling Jacob. After
• 2:18
  Jacob's family left, Laban found out that they
• 2:21
  had left and that his idols were missing. He
• 2:25
  was furious. He chased after Jacob, caught up
• 2:30
  with him on the way and asked, Why did you leave
• 2:34
  without telling me? And why did you steal my
• 2:38
  household gods? Jacob was surprised. He didn't
• 2:44
  know Rachel had taken them. He replied, I did
• 2:50
  not steal anything. If you find anyone with your
• 2:54
  idols, that person will not live. Jacob did not
• 2:59
  realize his words were dangerous. Rachel was
• 3:02
  the one who had them. Laban searched through
• 3:10
  all of Jacob's tents, but when he came to Rachel's
• 3:14
  tent, she was sitting on a camel's saddle where
• 3:18
  she had hidden the idols. She said, Father, I
• 3:23
  cannot stand up right now. So Laban never found
• 3:28
  them. But this part of the story teaches us an
• 3:34
  important lesson. We should trust in God alone,
• 3:37
  not in things made by people's hands. Laban thought
• 3:42
  his idols could protect him. but they were powerless
• 3:45
  and were stolen just like that. It was God who
• 3:49
  had blessed Jacob and taken care of him. Let's
• 3:54
  pause for a moment and think. Do people today
• 3:58
  still put their trust in things instead of God?

  Sometimes people trust in money, lucky charms,
• 4:08
  or even other people more than they trust in
• 4:11
  God. But this story reminds us that only God
• 4:15
  has real power. When we trust him, we don't need
• 4:19
  anything else. Let's continue our story. Even

  though Laban never found his idols, he and Jacob
• 4:29
  still had to settle their argument. After a long
• 4:33
  discussion, they made a peace agreement and promised
• 4:37
  not to harm each other. Then Laban returned home.

  And Jacob continued his journey. But there was
• 4:46
  still Esau. As Jacob got closer to home, he heard
• 4:51
  some scary news. Esau was coming to meet him.
• 4:55
  And he had 400 men with him. Jacob was afraid.

  Would Esau attack him? That night, Jacob prayed
• 5:13
  to God. He reminded God of his promise and asked
• 5:18
  God to protect him and his family. Jacob also
• 5:22
  decided to send gifts to Esau, goats, sheep,
• 5:26
  camels, and donkeys, hoping to show that he wanted
• 5:31
  peace. Then, something amazing happened. As Jacob
• 5:36
  was alone that night, a man appeared and began
• 5:40
  wrestling with him. They wrestled all night long.
• 5:45
  When morning came, the man touched Jacob's hip,
• 5:49
  and suddenly, Jacob's leg hurt. But Jacob held
• 5:54
  on tight. He said, I won't let go until you bless
• 6:00
  me. Then the man said something surprising. He
• 6:04
  said, Your name will no longer be Jacob. From
• 6:11
  now on, you will be called Israel because you
• 6:15
  have struggled and overcome. Jacob realized he
• 6:20
  had been wrestling with God's messenger. Even
• 6:23
  though he was afraid, God had given him strength
• 6:26
  to face the challenges ahead. The next day, Jacob
• 6:33
  finally saw Esau. Worried, he bowed seven times
• 6:38
  as he approached him. Would Esau be angry? Would
• 6:42
  he fight? Instead, something unexpected happened.
• 6:47
  Esau ran to Jacob and hugged him. Tears filled
• 6:52
  Jacob's eyes. Esau had forgiven him. After all
• 6:58
  these years, instead of anger, there was love.

  Jacob had feared the worst, but God had healed
• 7:06
  their relationship. This story teaches us that
• 7:10
  even when we are afraid, God goes before us and
• 7:14
  makes a way. It also shows us the power of forgiveness.

  Esau chose love instead of anger and because

  of that, both brothers found peace. Let's think
