- 1:12Speaker 1: just to give a different energy, you know what I mean.
- 1:15Speaker 1: On the court, I come talking crazy and they they
- 1:17Speaker 1: get hyped to play against me and they want to
- 1:20Speaker 1: beat me in. Still, yeah, I was like, I told him,
- 1:26Speaker 1: I'll be trying not to play too serious. I try
- 1:28Speaker 1: to like keep it cool, so I don't really like
- 1:31Speaker 1: run him over. Nobody get hurt like I got hurt
- 1:34Speaker 1: playing y'all coach. But he like, I'm about to dunk it.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I was like, Nah, he's not gonna dunk it. Crazy.
- 1:41Speaker 1: I was like, he's not about to dunk it. I'm
- 1:43Speaker 1: gonna go block it or whatever. But knowing him, he
- 1:46Speaker 1: was gonna fall, so I still was a little nervous, Like, yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 1: I heard him laughing, so like cool. Imagine if wuld
- 1:51Speaker 1: have got to jage duncle Larry Bulls, Oh my god,
- 1:54Speaker 1: I would have. I would have clipped him out there.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I imagine he was running on the break. I would
- 1:58Speaker 1: have clipped him. That's a wow visual anyway, I swear
- 2:03Speaker 1: that's the funny part. I would have loved for him
- 2:05Speaker 1: to go for a rebollagis elbowing.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Doing LB like that. You would have definitely been a
- 2:11Speaker 2: for his first thing, smokeing.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I swear I would have crashed out for I know
- 2:15Speaker 1: it's not close to the same, but the two faculty games.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Niggas used to try to get that ship off on
- 2:19Speaker 1: the teachers. But I used to wish I could play.
- 2:21Speaker 3: That's crazy. I used to have them bro we never
- 2:24Speaker 3: got there. They still do that at part I played. Yes,
- 2:27Speaker 3: the day I played in the last year, I seen
- 2:29Speaker 3: Christian hitting that shot and shot I said, then we
- 2:31Speaker 3: never got that type of love. So that's not like
- 2:33Speaker 3: the homecoming type thing.
- 2:35Speaker 1: No. I mean when I was in high school, our
- 2:37Speaker 1: team we played against like some of the black teachers
- 2:39Speaker 1: as the well I people want to play and like
- 2:41Speaker 1: it was like some pep type ship. Oh okay, that
- 2:43Speaker 1: was cool. Biggs called mis Dobs slipping. People have been
- 2:45Speaker 1: waiting to catch miss middle school. He was like, yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 1: we're finally grown, now get your ass out here. Take
- 2:49Speaker 1: it easy on me.
- 2:50Speaker 2: No, niggas we wait on this year.
- 2:52Speaker 3: That's hard time. That's definitely I know.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I know my boy Antoine would have loved to play
- 2:57Speaker 1: Larry Bullinton. Shout Antoine Collins brother, listen. His senior year
- 3:03Speaker 1: was his junior year, right, he started everything.
- 3:06Speaker 2: His junior year, he played all the time.
- 3:08Speaker 1: He ended up getting cut from the UH the sectional team.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Nobody knows why. Bullington just cut him, like he's not
- 3:15Speaker 1: playing section. So were like what, so everybody like the fuck?
- 3:22Speaker 1: Like he started out throughout the year, this dude started,
- 3:26Speaker 1: so we all confused, like what you do?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Bro? And he made straight a's so he like what
- 3:30Speaker 2: you do? He's like, I don't know.
- 3:31Speaker 1: So we go to practice that day and Tin come
- 3:33Speaker 1: to practice. He on the scout team and Twine stood
- 3:35Speaker 1: the ball three times in a row. First time he
- 3:38Speaker 1: dunked it, he looked at Larry Bollington like, second time
- 3:42Speaker 1: he dunked it, but we still the ball three times
- 3:44Speaker 1: in a row. The last time Larry like the second
- 3:46Speaker 1: time he dunked, he looked at him. Bulletin was like,
- 3:49Speaker 1: if you look at me like that again, get your
- 3:51Speaker 1: ass out of my fucking gym. And Twy I dunked
- 3:53Speaker 1: it again, stole the bitch of hung on the rim
- 3:55Speaker 1: and was like, Bro, cry o, Bro was wrong, and
- 4:05Speaker 1: he was like, get the fun out. I was like,
- 4:07Speaker 1: I ain't going no fun where. He's like, well, the
- 4:08Speaker 1: police will be on her.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Way. I'm out niggas.
- 4:14Speaker 2: That was the last one. I think that no more.
- 4:17Speaker 2: That is crazy, bro man.
- 4:19Speaker 1: He hold that he was really good. That ship was
- 4:23Speaker 1: funny as hell. He put that Nigga off was crying.
- 4:28Speaker 1: That's an example of your coach being in your way though.
- 4:30Speaker 2: That's a fan.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Was definitely Larry Bullingdally Bullyings really fucked up into a hoopy.
- 4:34Speaker 2: You'd be really.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Telling stories like factual ship like that's the prime example
- 4:38Speaker 3: of what nigga.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, he was definitely his way, bro. He didn't He
- 4:41Speaker 2: ain't do nothing wrong.
- 4:42Speaker 1: He had straight as nigga, played hard every time niggas
- 4:46Speaker 1: started some games.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Yeah, he's glad my boy didn't crash out.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Man.
- 4:51Speaker 3: He live in the hell of a life. They got
- 4:52Speaker 3: a beautiful family.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:54Speaker 2: He kept his grades up and kept going to school
- 4:56Speaker 2: and didn't matter.
- 4:57Speaker 3: But he definitely he went.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I would have banged passed for real, don't then just
- 5:02Speaker 1: back of the flippy Offward Broek should have been there
- 5:05Speaker 1: for that, that real would everybody that was on that
- 5:09Speaker 1: team that year, they know damn. That's why I think
- 5:12Speaker 1: he watched the show too. He's gonna probably laugh up that.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Shout out to bro that's the point is you. You
- 5:16Speaker 1: mentioned that before we get sad, funy shit. I wanted
- 5:18Speaker 1: to ask you about this. We had a conversation a
- 5:19Speaker 1: couple of weeks back. You mentioned this about how basketball
- 5:21Speaker 1: can break your heart. And I've been seeing a lot
- 5:23Speaker 1: of kids, like you know, seniors in the road basically
- 5:26Speaker 1: trying to figuret what they're gonna do with those playing basketball.
- 5:28Speaker 1: But I've been seeing a lot of kids like talk
- 5:30Speaker 1: about what they're gonna do, and I keep seeing these
- 5:32Speaker 1: a you announcements for like six graders, is like, please
- 5:35Speaker 1: talk to the people about how basketball is life.
- 5:37Speaker 2: To an extent, but still be fucking kids, please.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean part of being part of playing basket.
- 5:43Speaker 1: It's a kids game, like basketball is a kids game.
- 5:47Speaker 1: That's yeah, it could turn into a job if you're
- 5:51Speaker 1: good enough, you do it right, but it's a kids game.
- 5:54Speaker 1: You're supposed to have fun first and foremost. Like if
- 5:56Speaker 1: it's not fun to you, if you make it a
- 5:58Speaker 1: job at five six years old, you're not gonna love it,
- 6:03Speaker 1: Like who loves working when you five or six years old?
- 6:06Speaker 1: I hated school at five, shix like it was school
- 6:09Speaker 1: was easy. It might came easy to all of us,
- 6:11Speaker 1: but we hate it going, Like you don't want to
- 6:13Speaker 1: go to school on Saturdays. You want to watch cartoon
- 6:16Speaker 1: if you want to be a kid. So you got
- 6:18Speaker 1: to make sure it's still enjoyable. And I think that's
- 6:20Speaker 1: the most important thing. Make sure it's still enjoyable. It's
- 6:24Speaker 1: still a kids game. Make sure he's still having fun.
- 6:27Speaker 1: At a certain point, you might have to choose and pick, like,
- 6:29Speaker 1: pick and choose the sport that you really love, that
- 6:31Speaker 1: you really enjoy playing whatever you like doing. But when
- 6:34Speaker 1: before you get to that age, man, just enjoy playing
- 6:36Speaker 1: the game. Yeah, it's crazy. I'm seeing fucking sixth grade
- 6:39Speaker 1: parents making life decisions.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Bro. Let them be kids, Like, they still got a
- 6:42Speaker 2: lot of time to grow up.
- 6:44Speaker 3: But that's just all because your parent is trying to,
- 6:47Speaker 3: you know, live a dreams after you. That's mad. It's
- 6:50Speaker 3: like ninety nine percent of the time, bro. Like it's
- 6:53Speaker 3: a lot of the Like even great college players, you
- 6:58Speaker 3: see them just sitting down at the game, just watching
- 7:00Speaker 3: their kid. Bro. Like they probably I don't know how
- 7:02Speaker 3: they treatment as far or whatever, but like in the
- 7:05Speaker 3: public eye, it's kind of like they ain't like the
- 7:08Speaker 3: od daddy that just got out of jail, like like
- 7:14Speaker 3: at least really for real, bro, it's really be like
- 7:18Speaker 3: a bunch of single moms at the game. So they
- 7:20Speaker 3: don't know. Bro, they just had a kid. They play sports,
- 7:22Speaker 3: so it should be difficult. No, that's a fact. Like
- 7:26Speaker 3: I had a this is crazy. It was a little kid. Uh,
- 7:30Speaker 3: one of the homies kids came up to us. Him
- 7:32Speaker 3: to me, we played the game last Tuesday, and I've
- 7:36Speaker 3: seen the little kid. I'm like, hey, man, you come
- 7:37Speaker 3: in to Pike like just joking around here, like fifth grade,
- 7:40Speaker 3: fourth grade.
- 7:41Speaker 2: He told me I'm going to a prep school.
- 7:44Speaker 1: And it threw me off, and I was like what,
- 7:48Speaker 1: like you know what I mean, Like I'm gonna go
- 7:49Speaker 1: prep I'm like, damn man, Like that's crazy that you're
- 7:54Speaker 1: kind of gearing your mind up already, be like, yeah,
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'm going prep school.
- 7:57Speaker 2: I get it.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Social media and all that stuff that you're gonna do that,
- 8:01Speaker 1: but people don't understand. You gotta build yourself up, like
- 8:06Speaker 1: your foundation got to be where you're from, Like you
- 8:10Speaker 1: got to kill where you at and then anybody that's
- 8:13Speaker 1: gonna be a good player. I truly believe this. You
- 8:17Speaker 1: gotta be good at making other people better but if
- 8:21Speaker 1: you go to a prep school where it's other great
- 8:22Speaker 1: players and all this other stuff, you never gonna develop
- 8:25Speaker 1: into the player you want to be because you always
- 8:27Speaker 1: got a handicap. Like I got other people, I can
- 8:32Speaker 1: make everybody else, everybody else around be nice too. They
- 8:36Speaker 1: can make my job easier. The goal is to make
- 8:38Speaker 1: your job harder. So when you get in them rooms
- 8:41Speaker 1: with five stars and all that stuff, when it become
- 8:44Speaker 1: easier for you, ah, you're gonna shine like a diamond
- 8:47Speaker 1: because I can do everything.
- 8:48Speaker 3: You can put me in any position.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I can reapdown the score, I can shoot, I can
- 8:51Speaker 1: do all that stuff because I had to do that
- 8:53Speaker 1: before because I was on a team where we didn't
- 8:56Speaker 1: have all these talented people, so I had to overdo
- 8:59Speaker 1: stuff just so our team could be competitive. I think
- 9:02Speaker 1: Gilbert kind of figured that out too with his son.
- 9:05Speaker 1: His son had to do everything for their team to win.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And now he's shining like a diamond because when he
- 9:10Speaker 1: go to these other places and you get to play
- 9:12Speaker 1: him one on one. He's been playing one on three
- 9:15Speaker 1: his whole time. Now you got to go to one
- 9:16Speaker 1: on one. He looks crazy.
- 9:18Speaker 3: Christmas come on.
- 9:19Speaker 1: But people like to take the easy road, or play
- 9:23Speaker 1: on these super high all these top five kids on
- 9:27Speaker 1: their team on AU teams, and they ain't really getting
- 9:29Speaker 1: no better. They around good players, but they not getting better.
- 9:33Speaker 3: So does prep schools only benefit kids that are already
- 9:38Speaker 3: going to do yukon Nova stuff like that? Like who
- 9:44Speaker 3: does that really benefit?
- 9:45Speaker 2: To me?
- 9:46Speaker 1: Prep schools is fight for kids who maybe you struggling
- 9:49Speaker 1: academic and you need help academic or prep school as
- 9:54Speaker 1: for a kid that's already nationally ranked top ten, yeah, five,
- 10:01Speaker 1: and you trying to get your national rank higher because
- 10:03Speaker 1: you play a nationally ranked schedule. But the thing is,
- 10:06Speaker 1: if you're that good, your high school team will play
- 10:10Speaker 1: a nationally ranked schedule. Because I watched Marcus, my brother,
- 10:14Speaker 1: be the number two player in the nation that pipe
- 10:16Speaker 1: and they got offers to play all these nationally ranked schools.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Facts, So if you that guy, they gonna come to you.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Like the kid going a duke out of Texas next year,
- 10:24Speaker 1: I can't remember his name, his team finally going to
- 10:28Speaker 1: the state championship in Texas, but he lit you know
- 10:31Speaker 1: what I mean. But if you that guy, they'll come
- 10:34Speaker 1: to you. I've seen it too many times, you know
- 10:36Speaker 1: what I mean?
- 10:37Speaker 3: What about the cold kid that he nice, but he's
- 10:42Speaker 3: just like a I don't know, like a Dame Wheeler,
- 10:45Speaker 3: like a CJ. McCullum, like a John Morant. You recommend
- 10:49Speaker 3: them just to stay down till they come up. Or
- 10:52Speaker 3: if you know, you say six six wings. Should I
- 10:56Speaker 3: stay in my school, I don't got that many offers,
- 11:00Speaker 3: or should I go prep? Like I'm nice? I know
- 11:02Speaker 3: I can compete. I just ain't being I'm a late bloomer.
- 11:04Speaker 1: See the thing is, you gotta go where be celebrated, right,
- 11:08Speaker 1: talk about it. If somebody I'm nice, but Weaver State
- 11:12Speaker 1: my only offer, I'm gonna go to Weaver State and
- 11:15Speaker 1: kill like I'm not gonna say I'm gonna go Prep
- 11:18Speaker 1: and go to Duke where it might be seven five stars.
- 11:21Speaker 1: But I wasn't on your radar. Fact I had to
- 11:23Speaker 1: do some extra shit to get on your radar. And
- 11:25Speaker 1: even if I did get on your radar, I wasn't
- 11:27Speaker 1: your first option, right Weber State, I'm your first option.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I want to go where I'm your first option.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I don't want to be your like we told the
- 11:35Speaker 1: story about me Iu, I was an a dude on
- 11:37Speaker 1: the list, Like I don't want to be your ah
- 11:38Speaker 1: pick because you're really not happy with me. You you
- 11:41Speaker 1: like I got in this code. You don't retract much
- 11:44Speaker 1: from me. But Weaver state, if they are your first
- 11:46Speaker 1: option and they love you, you gotta go where you celebrate it.
- 11:49Speaker 1: That's where you're gonna get your best opportunity. Just because
- 11:52Speaker 1: you go to Duke. There's people that sit on the
- 11:55Speaker 1: bench of dude and transfer. Yeah, and transfer that it's
- 11:58Speaker 1: five stars to go to do can sit the bench?
- 12:01Speaker 3: We saw, we saw the high school I just I mean,
- 12:03Speaker 3: I was gonna say, but it's better coming from you
- 12:05Speaker 3: because you've actually been a part of it. But George
- 12:09Speaker 3: Hill went to I.
- 12:09Speaker 2: P U y and went and killed, League, went to
- 12:13Speaker 2: West Kentucky went and killed by the way.
- 12:15Speaker 1: They could have went to I PU are you, Purdue Texas,
- 12:20Speaker 1: all these schools, but they went where they was loved. Yeah, sir,
- 12:23Speaker 1: you know what I mean? That was they was the
- 12:25Speaker 1: first option.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Just never know what who though? Because bro, like I
- 12:29Speaker 3: like I said, of course you played and you've been
- 12:31Speaker 3: doing this. She was legit. But seeing players like just
- 12:33Speaker 3: little Uncle Forer like dominate high school, dominate college like
- 12:39Speaker 3: that ship is crazy to see him not paying out
- 12:42Speaker 3: in the NBA.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Like I ain't gonna say he ain't pan out because
- 12:44Speaker 1: make it to the league. So when we say pan out,
- 12:47Speaker 1: like I mean like he's supposed to just lit kin
- 12:49Speaker 1: Ford was like a skilled big so I felt like
- 12:53Speaker 1: he was he could fit in today's game. I just
- 12:55Speaker 1: didn't know what to drop off was.
- 12:57Speaker 2: It's just the NBA is so the NBA people.
- 13:00Speaker 1: It's so normal to us, right because we run up
- 13:03Speaker 1: to people every day that's in the NBA and we
- 13:05Speaker 1: talk on the podcast people the NBA. It's not normal,
- 13:08Speaker 1: like not to like be like that by myself, but
- 13:11Speaker 1: this is not normal. Yeah, like you don't run into
- 13:14Speaker 1: NBA players every day. You can now because we more accessible.
- 13:18Speaker 1: But it's so hard to make to the NBA. It's
- 13:21Speaker 1: so many great players that didn't make it to the
- 13:23Speaker 1: NBA and then like to make it you like you're
- 13:27Speaker 1: a special bro, so like you're little for a special
- 13:30Speaker 1: I know, we don't really look at it like that.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So many people can say whatever they want on the
- 13:34Speaker 1: internet YouTube. Everybody got a voice and he said, he
- 13:37Speaker 1: asked he weak. But these dudes is really like one
- 13:41Speaker 1: on ones, Like all these dudes that make it to
- 13:44Speaker 1: the league are really special basketball talents and julut for
- 13:48Speaker 1: like you said, he dominates high school.
- 13:49Speaker 3: College, and I feel like his game fit today's NBA.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Like I said, I feel like you shit, he didn't
- 13:54Speaker 3: get worse. I just did his players like that like
- 13:58Speaker 3: Adam Morrison.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Bro.
- 13:59Speaker 1: You but you gotta think it's like the NBA is
- 14:02Speaker 1: all about opportunity, and sometimes your opportunity can be kind
- 14:08Speaker 1: of fucked up. Like he was the number two pick
- 14:10Speaker 1: in Philly. He's starting, there was almost almost Rookie of
- 14:14Speaker 1: the year.
- 14:14Speaker 2: He was killing.
- 14:15Speaker 1: He was averaging twenty ethere. But you got Joel and
- 14:18Speaker 1: be on the bench, hurt, waiting in the wings. He
- 14:24Speaker 1: gets healthy, he dominates in practice. People like Joel and
- 14:28Speaker 1: Bier is our best player.
- 14:30Speaker 2: You still on the team. Yeah, it's quiet.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Yeah, And he was in a situation like you said,
- 14:36Speaker 1: opportunity is crazy.
- 14:37Speaker 2: That was a trust and process situation.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Bro.
- 14:38Speaker 2: They was all bullshit. It's quiet.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Then you want injury away from it. It's a right,
- 14:45Speaker 1: you know what I mean. So it was just an
- 14:48Speaker 1: opportunity thing and it was kind of messed up. But
- 14:50Speaker 1: what it happens to a lot of people for sure.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I mean, we can go down the list, like Jamal Crawford,
- 14:55Speaker 1: I mean Jordan Crawford. He come to a team with
- 14:57Speaker 1: Jamal Crawford on there. Yeah, you know what I mean,
- 15:00Speaker 1: like one of the few people are trained to Washington
- 15:04Speaker 1: and Bradley be on John Wall. Just the opportunities. It's like, no,
- 15:09Speaker 1: that's true, it's just opportunities. Like, but it's part of life.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I love that point that you said, Like, I know
- 15:14Speaker 1: people joke on inter that we do it too sometimes,
- 15:16Speaker 1: but if you make the NBA, you're successful, Like that's
- 15:19Speaker 1: you succeeded.
- 15:20Speaker 2: You're one of the coach players that ever we did.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Something that millions of people drinking might be the only
- 15:26Speaker 3: pod media outlet that talks about nine through twelve or
- 15:30Speaker 3: nine through fifteen type.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Yeah, about all those people are very successful life. They're
- 15:35Speaker 1: really good at their what they did for their living.
- 15:38Speaker 1: They're really really good at even like maybe one year, Bro,
- 15:41Speaker 1: they did more for their family than a person working five.
- 15:44Speaker 1: That's no shame to nobody, but the people who laughing like, yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 1: he made a million dollars a year.
- 15:47Speaker 2: You may not ever make a million dollars year.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Yeah, in your life, some people don't make a million
- 15:52Speaker 1: dollars in their life and some people just don't even
- 15:53Speaker 1: accomplish it like that, like to do what you have
- 15:56Speaker 1: to do to get to college to be a D
- 15:58Speaker 1: one player, then to kill then to go to the league.
- 16:01Speaker 1: That's one thing I think people need to put more
- 16:02Speaker 1: respect on. You get yourw jersey like raised at the
- 16:04Speaker 1: college and get respected by university. Nigga, No you cold
- 16:08Speaker 1: you are, Like even though dude jerseys upside down, he's
- 16:14Speaker 1: got crazy. Yeah, but I wanted the coaches to walk
- 16:16Speaker 1: through these doors, bro, they would be respecting facts for sure.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Man LaMarcus authors I forgot maybe Chris Haynes report. He
- 16:24Speaker 1: was basically talking about how he wanted to go back
- 16:25Speaker 1: to Portland later years in the career, and basically it
- 16:28Speaker 1: didn't happen for whatever reason. I want to ask y'all,
- 16:30Speaker 1: what's one player on one track y'all wish didn't happen,
- 16:32Speaker 1: and what's one player I think that could have went
- 16:35Speaker 1: back to that team at some point of that career.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I know we kind of talked about with like KD
- 16:38Speaker 2: and like the thunder and stuff like that.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Where United, what's the situation, It don't matter what time
- 16:42Speaker 1: period WASA think would have been dope to see happened.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Well reverse for me because I or rather, I mean
- 16:47Speaker 3: not rather, I would have wanted to see Chris Paul
- 16:49Speaker 3: on the Lakers. Okay, I hate that, you know what
- 16:53Speaker 3: I mean didn't go through. God blessed the dead. I
- 16:56Speaker 3: wish that would have happened. Yeah, they said were about
- 16:57Speaker 3: to sell the state. I really really wanted to see that.
- 17:02Speaker 1: That first trade was crazy too, Yeah, but they would
- 17:04Speaker 1: have kept that Chris Paul trade.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Yeah, they had to be do that.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I wanted to see that, but that's my.
- 17:12Speaker 2: I'll let give you some time to think.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna go James Harden Okay, See, I wish that
- 17:16Speaker 1: they could have just figured out that little bit of
- 17:17Speaker 1: bread that they was being petty over, because that would
- 17:20Speaker 1: have started dynasty. I know James obviously needed his own
- 17:23Speaker 1: team MVP good enough, but Russ kd rden bro prime
- 17:27Speaker 1: years going forward, Bro, they would have murdered the NBA got.
- 17:30Speaker 3: Another one though, just because you know that's the that's
- 17:32Speaker 3: the family.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Now.
- 17:33Speaker 3: I wish that Martin Rowse could have won one with
- 17:35Speaker 3: Toronto mhm. He needed that for his career. He solidified
- 17:43Speaker 3: in one thousand percent. But I feel like all them
- 17:47Speaker 3: fifty win seasons. He earned that, like Cal Larry, they
- 17:50Speaker 3: were supposed to celebrate that together. That's true. So that's
- 17:55Speaker 3: my about that one.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I probably would have wanted to see.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I don't know. Oh no, I don't go on. I know,

- 36:40Speaker 2: They are real like in Miami. Yeah, it'd be a
- 36:44Speaker 2: good switch.
- 36:45Speaker 1: They could get man and well may think about that
- 36:48Speaker 1: is obviously Marshmadis approach, and we think about all the
- 36:51Speaker 1: college programs.
- 36:51Speaker 2: We talk about historic colleges and the coaches.
- 36:54Speaker 1: Really we never talk about the institutions now, but not
- 36:56Speaker 1: changing all these kids is going, like you said, I
- 36:58Speaker 1: want to be rocking rock out of that now. He
- 36:59Speaker 1: and US sports like Miami, you might change the game

- 39:19Speaker 1: just over look, Bro, even from a high school standpoint.
- 39:21Speaker 1: You getting houndered at your high school. Bro, he was
- 39:24Speaker 1: one of a couple of niggas to walk through these doors.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Man.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I'm I'm hyped for him just because I know his story,
- 39:30Speaker 1: you know, being underrecruited as out of high school, getting
- 39:34Speaker 1: hurt sophomore year, I mean his junior year, he broke
- 39:37Speaker 1: his foot.
- 39:38Speaker 2: My sophomore year broke his foot.
- 39:39Speaker 1: I have to go through all that, going hund drafted,
- 39:42Speaker 1: having a great career in the league, and then you know,
- 39:45Speaker 1: being a guy I wait for so people love being
- 39:48Speaker 1: honest like that.
- 39:49Speaker 3: I'm happy for now he's a problem example like the
- 39:53Speaker 3: Internet keep working.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Yeah for real, bro, Damn, that's real man, he being
- 39:58Speaker 1: people been asking the comments. Man, I know you talked
- 40:01Speaker 1: about a little bit, but you know I said, taking
- 40:02Speaker 1: a hundred experience on road? Man, what will be your
- 40:05Speaker 1: ideal situation as far as if you could book one artist,
- 40:08Speaker 1: one venue, what would you like.
- 40:09Speaker 2: To do with your ship? One artists one of me?
- 40:13Speaker 1: If we could go ahead, wish you to fruition because
- 40:14Speaker 1: people Travis Porter well on April eighteenth.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the that's the concert series. Yeah, good'll clean up, good,
- 40:23Speaker 3: clean up? Okay he was hating last week.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Okay, Vogue, Travis Kemp, hold on Travis and Travis apparently
- 40:33Speaker 2: hold on the VINU.
- 40:37Speaker 3: I would choose would be Dre's and for a hundred
- 40:41Speaker 3: experience my ship so ghetto now. But I don't know, Bro,
- 40:48Speaker 3: I don't know. Probably to change damn so dreas to
- 40:54Speaker 3: change Hendred experience.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Come on, we gotta make it and see if you
- 40:58Speaker 1: hadn't venue, if you could put one like let's say
- 41:01Speaker 1: the being your only fit twelve hundred.
- 41:04Speaker 2: Mm hm, who you get.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Damn yes, as I gotta get artists, you get whatever,
- 41:13Speaker 1: twelve hundred. Give me a chance to think on that,
- 41:17Speaker 1: because obviously we're gonna be backed out anyway. If you
- 41:19Speaker 1: can get a being to yourself to have artists like that,
- 41:22Speaker 1: I mean, of course I would cheating. Oh but that
- 41:24Speaker 1: ain't realistic. I as a hell of a question. I
- 41:28Speaker 1: ain't bringing no artists. I'm going get Ari. I'm going
- 41:35Speaker 1: get the other joint. If you Jada, We're gonna get
- 41:40Speaker 1: this too. Getting I'm getting all them sold out. You
- 41:44Speaker 1: checking the zeus rout zeus zeus me. It's gonna be
- 41:48Speaker 1: let in there because all the niggas want to see them,
- 41:51Speaker 1: and all the girls want to beat them.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Man, that's some which is crazy. It's very true when the.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Loss ratio is nice in that too. So far financially
- 42:01Speaker 1: you only guy pay them. I ain't hating them. I
- 42:03Speaker 1: don't know, but I'm a I used to do parties,
- 42:05Speaker 1: but I used to have a Jeff T weekend. I
- 42:07Speaker 1: know some of them salaries be that flyer so different
- 42:10Speaker 1: now though, Bro, they getting a look, they ain't gonna
- 42:14Speaker 1: get no bag.
- 42:15Speaker 2: But it's always a pay scalp for reasons. I always
- 42:20Speaker 2: need a bag.
- 42:21Speaker 3: Al arian Ari and Jada just let alone though, just
- 42:25Speaker 3: enough to just yeah, I don't care what city you win.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Yeah, you're gonna win. That's the interesting part.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Now, I know they're talking about for some years now,
- 42:35Speaker 1: but like, quote unquote what their influencers now, Like we
- 42:38Speaker 1: have more people who more fans of rappers in their
- 42:41Speaker 1: family life than they are the actual rapper themselves.
- 42:43Speaker 3: And that's it's crazy, but influencers are bigger than rappers,
- 42:48Speaker 3: Like I ain't gonna lie.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Is bigger than a lot of rappers. Yeah, bigger than
- 42:56Speaker 2: not bigger than anybody, every rapper, him and them.
- 43:00Speaker 3: They just that that ore is different because they do
- 43:02Speaker 3: got a bunch of kids one hundred percent, but when
- 43:05Speaker 3: they walk in like the clubs and ship, it'd be different.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Bro, Like, no shame Herbal, I love you Herbro. You
- 43:12Speaker 1: know that's I wish you could do the show. But
- 43:15Speaker 1: shout to hear about people more interested in his his
- 43:19Speaker 1: life is you know, moms and stuff more than they
- 43:22Speaker 1: are probably his raps. Oh yeah, because he look he
- 43:26Speaker 1: looked like if you look at that that episode a
- 43:28Speaker 1: half with his you know, two past situations. Yeah, that
- 43:31Speaker 1: ship in the mill very frequently as they look, I'm
- 43:34Speaker 1: sure I ain't shame, but if he dropped a mixtape,
- 43:37Speaker 1: it's gonna take a little second get You don't know
- 43:39Speaker 1: if it's gonna get.
- 43:39Speaker 2: To a meal.
- 43:40Speaker 1: As fast as that got to a minute, we love
- 43:42Speaker 1: messing ship. Nobody was really interested about what was happening,
- 43:44Speaker 1: just like, how could this go wrong? Yeah, like what
- 43:47Speaker 1: they're gonna say?
- 43:48Speaker 3: So yeah, because g Herbal is definitely still with but
- 43:50Speaker 3: that moment right there made him iconic in that world.
- 43:53Speaker 1: You know my mom shouting about basic legend and two Games.
- 43:58Speaker 1: I was like, you Herbo, you you you want like
- 44:00Speaker 1: you you live?
- 44:01Speaker 2: You the one bro. That's that's even like when he
- 44:05Speaker 2: did uh what's shorty name? Uh did he Christian place?
- 44:11Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 44:11Speaker 2: Yeah, when he did that, it was like, look, that.
- 44:13Speaker 3: Was far for sure. That sit down was definitely far.
- 44:16Speaker 1: And the in bring that point up because you say, like,
- 44:19Speaker 1: especially on her too, she don't right for Yeah, most
- 44:24Speaker 1: definitely we went to her party. That's when he was
- 44:27Speaker 1: a sausage talent. Saction man stopped now because people gone,
- 44:34Speaker 1: I was just saying it was.
- 44:36Speaker 2: CP up on his It was just different over there
- 44:40Speaker 2: for the real it was Caresian and friends. Jeff was
- 44:43Speaker 2: with the friends. I'm glad we hear we talked about
- 44:49Speaker 2: this is this is why we hear.
- 44:50Speaker 3: And you know this, nigga, the show loved me numerous case.
- 44:54Speaker 2: I was with my wife.
- 44:55Speaker 3: But this is how a bunch of a decade he
- 44:57Speaker 3: was being that we live in our He's like, nah,
- 45:00Speaker 3: I got my whole ship.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Nigga, you told the story was my wife, Yes, with
- 45:08Speaker 2: my wife, were just having to be.
- 45:12Speaker 3: He kept walking a nigga, I see what smoking must
- 45:15Speaker 3: walking into Nigga.
- 45:18Speaker 1: I told you I was standing over there. I just
- 45:20Speaker 1: want my wife as were to sit shout to the
- 45:23Speaker 1: cool age and she would goes sit over there. I'm like, nah,
- 45:28Speaker 1: I can't do that.
- 45:30Speaker 3: No, I was.
- 45:31Speaker 1: It just was uncomfortable, like nah, before we got here.
- 45:36Speaker 1: I want to ask how y'all felt about this? See
- 45:38Speaker 1: Gil errenas on first take, killed that ship. See mellow
- 45:41Speaker 1: gett some broadcasting opportunities. The way that they're talking about
- 45:44Speaker 1: the way the NBA is covered, they kind of hated it.
- 45:46Speaker 1: They're trying to get to the point where people are
- 45:48Speaker 1: celebrating basketball more than like picking it apart. How do
- 45:50Speaker 1: y'all feel about that as obviously former player in US.
- 45:52Speaker 1: As far as consumers like the way that basketball is
- 45:55Speaker 1: portrayed because we love it how the NBA and we
- 45:57Speaker 1: get the jokes.
- 45:57Speaker 2: But a lot of people hate that ship.
- 45:59Speaker 1: I think everybody ship on basketball and just get to
- 46:01Speaker 1: the point the players just like I'm talking to me
- 46:03Speaker 1: about this ship because I gonna do is hate anyway. Yeah,
- 46:05Speaker 1: I ain't never really been offan of that. I just
- 46:07Speaker 1: think they was funny. But I thought them not even
- 46:11Speaker 1: talking about basketball was funny. Like when they just be
- 46:13Speaker 1: like laughing at each other, Chuck be falling off sleep
- 46:16Speaker 1: or some ship.
- 46:16Speaker 3: Kenny walking up.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought all that was funny. I think to me,
- 46:20Speaker 1: I think Kenny get really good insight on the game.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I could tell Kenny watch the game, Chuck, don't give
- 46:26Speaker 1: it damn about the game. Shock you're waiting for the
- 46:29Speaker 1: shock in the full moment. Yeah, he don't care about
- 46:32Speaker 1: the game. But Kenny really give you a good insight.
- 46:34Speaker 1: I love Ernie and I love all them though for
- 46:36Speaker 1: who they are, like they both all of them was
- 46:38Speaker 1: great athletes and Shack is a great entertainer. You do
- 46:41Speaker 1: what you do.
- 46:42Speaker 2: But as far as insights to the game. I ain't
- 46:44Speaker 2: ever really look at them for that.
- 46:47Speaker 3: They honestly, to me, Bro, it was like a podcast.
- 46:51Speaker 2: Yeah, literally.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Talking ship, doing all type of events, got random people
- 46:57Speaker 1: coming on, shooting shots with them, just having a good time.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Was more of a show than like looking for real
- 47:02Speaker 1: insight for basketball. Like I watch NBA TV. I think,
- 47:05Speaker 1: like Sam Mitchell and some of them guys like you know,
- 47:08Speaker 1: some of the people that was on there give you
- 47:09Speaker 1: real basketball ship and.
- 47:11Speaker 2: I used to get that from them. But yeah, NBA
- 47:15Speaker 2: tn T that.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Was just always waited for Shack the John on ship,
- 47:19Speaker 3: I mean, or Versus's waiting for you know what I mean,
- 47:24Speaker 3: chuck up somebody name, mess up. This may uncomfortable and
- 47:29Speaker 3: that's all that was literally for real basketball. But aut
- 47:34Speaker 3: your mind, it ain't because they literally just man niggas.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it was uncut real.
- 47:41Speaker 1: If it was HBO Max, Oh, it would be the
- 47:43Speaker 1: all time because they just be like he trashed, like man,
- 47:48Speaker 1: what we watching man?
- 47:49Speaker 2: And they kind of do it anyway.
- 47:50Speaker 1: They just do it pr way. Yeah, but for real
- 47:53Speaker 1: inside on basketball do that. But it's cool to see
- 47:55Speaker 1: like guys who are really fans of the game. And
- 47:57Speaker 1: I think they fans of the game. They're probably not
- 47:59Speaker 1: fans of the product now because they grew up in
- 48:01Speaker 1: a different era. But like got younger guys who just
- 48:04Speaker 1: still appreciate the game because we grew up in a
- 48:06Speaker 1: pickup ball era.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Yes, sir right.
- 48:08Speaker 1: We love going to the gym and just seeing people
- 48:10Speaker 1: playing pick up and like people getting to it. We
- 48:13Speaker 1: talk about people got bags and so people didn't have
- 48:15Speaker 1: bags back They didn't say that back then at all,
- 48:19Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like, we ain't say Charles
- 48:21Speaker 1: Barkley had a bag, but he is good. He'll post
- 48:25Speaker 1: you up, you're gonna get to a spot, don't pull
- 48:27Speaker 1: up on you. But Chuck had bag. So having these
- 48:31Speaker 1: new young guys coming in talking basketball, the way they talking,
- 48:34Speaker 1: like Jamal.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Crawford is great, great, great, They one of the best.
- 48:38Speaker 1: I swear, Like, when I listen to him, I'm like, damn,
- 48:42Speaker 1: that's how I look at basketball too. And I can
- 48:45Speaker 1: listen to him, I can relate. So it's gonna be
- 48:46Speaker 1: cool to see Mellow do it, who was the three
- 48:50Speaker 1: was on first take, he was going crazy. Yeah, gel
- 48:52Speaker 1: good at it, really good job of first take.
- 48:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:54Speaker 1: So it's just funny because it's just like they get
- 48:56Speaker 1: mad at that. But it's like, NBA, this is what
- 48:58Speaker 1: I pushed for longest time. Y'all took all the people
- 49:00Speaker 1: who were really good at analyzing the basketball away from
- 49:02Speaker 1: people who are entertaining, and then you got mad at
- 49:04Speaker 1: the product. And then you look at the All Star
- 49:05Speaker 1: Game and you have Kevin Hart Holston and now we
- 49:08Speaker 1: got the W here, and then everyboce mad because Kevin
- 49:10Speaker 1: Hart's hosting over Mike Apps. It's like, Okay, that's a sidey,
- 49:13Speaker 1: but y'all pushing entertainment over basketball and then get mad
- 49:16Speaker 1: NBA shit too.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Yeah, damn man, they ain't learned from the NBA. Like,
- 49:21Speaker 2: but over Mike Indiana, that's crazy.
- 49:26Speaker 3: Wow, that's respectful.
- 49:28Speaker 2: I get it.
- 49:29Speaker 1: I get it putting an eyeball, I do. I get
- 49:33Speaker 1: it from putting the eyeballs on the game. Like Kevin Hart,
- 49:36Speaker 1: he brings his own audience. Oh you know, he got
- 49:39Speaker 1: his own fan basically brings a big audience for the W.
- 49:42Speaker 1: I can see that for W but for the NBA,
- 49:45Speaker 1: they ain't need that.
- 49:46Speaker 5: You don't think Kevin Hart brings Mike Epps to those
- 49:49Speaker 5: events or gets him involved with all though probably probably,
- 49:52Speaker 5: But I ain't beefing heavy no more. No, they probably
- 49:56Speaker 5: moved Mike. Mike was on the breakast and saying, now
- 49:58Speaker 5: they cool, they talked everything. I am feeling a way
- 50:01Speaker 5: about it, so hopefully he does as Mike.
- 50:04Speaker 1: I mean, even because people in Indianapolis kind of made
- 50:06Speaker 1: a little outrage about it, like a little, you know,
- 50:10Speaker 1: a little thing about it. So I'm sure Kevin Hart
- 50:13Speaker 1: maybe he didn't see, maybe he did, but I think
- 50:14Speaker 1: probably cool things.
- 50:15Speaker 2: But I got my guy. Mike gave too. You know,
- 50:18Speaker 2: he's the guy from the city.
- 50:20Speaker 3: So well, let Mike do it and bring Kevin as Like,
- 50:23Speaker 3: I don't know, man.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Kevin brings too many eyeballs, man, I ain't saying like Kevin.
- 50:30Speaker 2: It's just even look at the tour.
- 50:31Speaker 3: This is a little Wayne super Bowl Mama for us,
- 50:35Speaker 3: a real ship, bro, Like, I don't know, I guess
- 50:40Speaker 3: it's definitely not as big as Kevin Hard. I understand that.
- 50:43Speaker 3: I understand logistics, but damn for the city should have
- 50:47Speaker 3: kind of been like, I'm gonn duff up for the
- 50:49Speaker 3: w because they need the eyeballs. They need that extra Yeah.
- 50:55Speaker 2: They need that push.
- 50:56Speaker 1: They needed Kevin Hart at the All Star Game, you know,
- 51:00Speaker 1: obviously feel how you feel about the conversation. Those wrong,
- 51:02Speaker 1: no wrong, But I think the part about it is
- 51:04Speaker 1: the NBA keeps trying to punish people, but y'all doing
- 51:06Speaker 1: more entertainment stuff. Everybody else's like, just from the standpoint
- 51:10Speaker 1: of All Star Weekend, y'all pushing entertainment, entertainment, And then
- 51:12Speaker 1: you get mad when you're analysts and all these networks
- 51:14Speaker 1: you're trying to cater towards that and they're talking about
- 51:16Speaker 1: the purity of basketball, talking about basketball again, y'all fight
- 51:18Speaker 1: on those people. If that's the case, ya would kee journalists.
- 51:21Speaker 1: It's ug But I don't no shade to the journalists. Cool,
- 51:26Speaker 1: but I just don't respect they. I ain't gonna say
- 51:28Speaker 1: not respect it because you can have a you can
- 51:30Speaker 1: have when it could be good. You can be really
- 51:32Speaker 1: good at your job and you can see the game
- 51:34Speaker 1: and be great at the game. You don't have to
- 51:35Speaker 1: play the game and be to understand the game and
- 51:37Speaker 1: be a good coach or whatever it is. But the
- 51:41Speaker 1: perspective that she wants from somebody who's been there, but sure,
- 51:45Speaker 1: Ernie Shag, Charles, they've been there or whatever.
- 51:49Speaker 2: They all had their job for years. But they didn't
- 51:51Speaker 2: grow with the game. Valid point.
- 51:54Speaker 1: So it was just you just need some fresh new
- 51:56Speaker 1: people who grew with the game. They didn't grow with
- 51:58Speaker 1: the game. They still stuck in. Oh man, why they're
- 52:01Speaker 1: gonna throw the ball in? He got this baby on
- 52:04Speaker 1: the well. People don't post up no more because seven
- 52:05Speaker 1: footage got handles, now you know what I mean.
- 52:09Speaker 2: So they just didn't grow with the game. They would
- 52:11Speaker 2: have grew with the game.
- 52:11Speaker 1: Nobody look here like if they started like, hey, y'all,
- 52:14Speaker 1: let's push Winby is different. Kevin Durant is not gonna
- 52:17Speaker 1: ever post up. Yokis is an untraditional big man. He
- 52:20Speaker 1: can do it pretty like, and they just started championing that.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Nobody will ever say nothing. But they just didn't grow
- 52:25Speaker 1: with the game. Kenny did, but the rest of them didn't.
- 52:28Speaker 3: Bro They need to have just put two entertainers and
- 52:32Speaker 3: there are two people that really are serious about boss
- 52:34Speaker 3: who you have a balance they.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Should have like they can have that show. But they
- 52:40Speaker 1: should have just started incorporated in some younger pieces like
- 52:43Speaker 1: they did when they start putting Raymond on there. But
- 52:45Speaker 1: they like to put controversial people on there that made
- 52:48Speaker 1: you like, I'm gonna watch it but if they would
- 52:53Speaker 1: have added Jamal Crawford to a regular show, like and
- 52:58Speaker 1: let him and Kenny really talk on the ball and
- 53:01Speaker 1: shocking them chiming, now.
- 53:02Speaker 2: You're really weak and they're like nah shack and they
- 53:05Speaker 2: can have a crazy dynamic. But whatever. For sure, like
- 53:09Speaker 2: you said, Jamark Propper, Cannis park a really really good dition.
- 53:11Speaker 3: So for sure, Yeah, Cannons Parker really do a good job.
- 53:14Speaker 3: So she holded down for the job for sure.
- 53:17Speaker 1: More to come, Man March Madison, the White Save tune Man,
