- 0:00Any questions? This is the Jabba and the Mouth
- 0:04show. He tastes himself.
- 0:06I got the bubble. Gum.
- 0:09That went over like a fart. Another tow job ever going
- 0:13wrong. Like the streets in my bridge.
- 0:28Yes, we are Jabba the Mouth. There's no Jabba tonight.
- 0:32His Internet is horrible over there in Nebraska.
- 0:35Oh, it's a shame, Snowy, disgusting.
- 0:38Mine is 37 or whatever it is in Nebraska.
- 0:41So no Jabba tonight. It's just me and the speedster
- 0:45and the fish. As you just heard him.
- 0:47Remember my name is Errol Marx. I am the mouth.
- 0:50And my Co host tonight, as he always is, is my third Co host,
- 0:54Mr. Speedster. He's producing tonight as
- 0:57always, as he's just a very analytical type type of person.
- 1:02Right, Speedy? Yeah, You indeed.
- 1:03Yes. No, I'm talking about you.
- 1:04I'm not talking about me. Are you giving me?
- 1:06No, I said yes, you were right. Indeed.
- 1:08I stumbled. Yes, you stumbled.
- 1:09Yeah, you always stumbled. 631-672-3108 As we talked to a
- 1:14guy that was getting high in Kenny a little bit earlier in
- 1:17the show, but this guy before we get him in is a guy that's from
- 1:21Long Island. And, and the reason why I said
- 1:23this guy is because this guy is brought to you by our show and
- 1:28our show is brought to you by Omaha Steaks.
- 1:31And they're giving us an extra you extra 10% off if you order
- 1:36any orders of beef, if you're a job in the mouth fan.
- 1:39And how do you do that? Ladies and gentlemen, there's
- 1:41the linksomahasteaks.com/job in the Mouth.
- 1:44Or go to ourwebsite@worldwidesportsradio.com
- 1:47and click the Omaha Steaks logo. If you like your beef thick,
- 1:51juicy, long as Speedy likes them, very long and very thick,
- 1:56Ladies and gentlemen, for 10% off, you can get all the sticks,
- 2:00all the beef, all the juice for Omaha Steaks.
- 2:04All you got to do is click the links.
- 2:07There you go. I like that.
- 2:08It was that was even better than usual.
- 2:10Speedy. I got a little bit of enthusiasm
- 2:12on that one. It always is enthusiasm, but I
- 2:14always kind of blow it out of proportion.
- 2:16But if you like your Omaha Steaks and Speedy likes thick
- 2:18and big in many different ways. I don't want to scare our guests
- 2:21off, but that's that's the way Speedy performs his beef.
- 2:24Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time on JOB in the mouth,
- 2:27we are talking to Las Vegas Raiders running back, Long
- 2:30Island native ladies and gentlemen, Chris Collier.
- 2:34Chris, what's up, buddy? What's good my man?
- 2:37How you doing? Well, I'm a little, I'm my, my
- 2:40personality is a little outlandishly.
- 2:42Crazy. I love it and.
- 2:45If you watch this show, you would know that I dig deep and,
- 2:48and I could dig really, really deep and I don't want to go, you
- 2:51know, if I dig deep, I, I don't want to, you know, I hopefully
- 2:53my girlfriend isn't listening because I do dig deep.
- 2:56Anyways, there is a lot to get into.
- 2:59First of all, with your career and where you come from.
- 3:02Obviously you played for Nassau, right?
- 3:05My, that's right. And you started your your
- 3:08college career playing for Nassau Community College.
- 3:12So what made you play football? Where did you play football
- 3:15first in high school? And then what made you decide to
- 3:18jump into Nassau before you decided to move forward in your
- 3:22college career? So I started football at a young
- 3:26age. I was introduced to it by my
- 3:28father. I was very like unsure at first,
- 3:33but I did have some interest after watching the Super Bowl in
- 3:372000, I believe it was seven. It was the Giants versus the
- 3:40Patriots. It was the helmet catch.
- 3:42Remember watching that. That was my first time I really
- 3:47seeing something of that nature and it just brought me to the
- 3:49game and I was just really, really intrigued by it and I
- 3:51just took off from him. My dad was my trainer early on.
- 3:55He got me into it. Fast forward to college and
- 3:59choosing NASAR. A lot of it came down to in high
- 4:03school my junior year, I was, I was getting a lot of traction.
- 4:06I had a lot of FBSFCS schools contacting me, some throwing
- 4:12scholarships, and I ended up blowing out my knee midway
- 4:16through that year and I lost everything.
- 4:19I ended up only getting like some PW OS back the next year.
- 4:24I the next year I actually did have a breakout season, but it
- 4:27just wasn't enough. You know, like the ACL always
- 4:29had that stigma behind it. And especially as a running back
- 4:32with the knees, they don't really want to play that game.
- 4:35So, you know, I just had to bet on myself.
- 4:37I had to go to Nassau and that's how I ended up there,
- 4:39truthfully. Go ahead, Speedy, before I let
- 4:41you go, I just I, you know, I've been reading a little bit about
- 4:45you. I didn't know much about you.
- 4:46And I've understood. I've, I've talked to a lot of
- 4:50athletes. I've interviewed over 5000
- 4:51people in the last 13 years. Yeah, I've, I've been all over
- 4:55the place and I've, I've interviewed Hall of Farmers,
- 4:57great running backs and, and you and you could be one of the
- 5:00future greats. And I I do.
- 5:01Believe. I absolutely why not It there
- 5:04anything's possible football, you all you got to do is make it
- 5:07and then you go out there and you got to prove it.
- 5:09And it's a it's a crazy story because I was an athlete too.
- 5:13I hurt my knee and that probably made me walk away from the sport
- 5:16of hockey. I was a great hockey player and
- 5:19I, I sprained my 7 ligaments in my knee and that really torched
- 5:25my opportunity. So what happened with me?
- 5:28What happened with me Chris, is I, I had a chance to sign up my
- 5:33letter of intent and I, I was either choosing from Maine, New
- 5:37Hampshire and Niagara University and I chose Niagara because I
- 5:43was only going to play one year of college hockey and I was
- 5:46going to go play pro hockey. I was, I was estimated to be a
- 5:49late first round, maybe your early second round pick at the
- 5:51time. So yeah, I was a good hockey
- 5:53player and I wanted to play one year.
- 5:56I didn't want to be red shirted. And hockey, you know, they
- 5:58usually play the, the juniors and all the way through the
- 6:01seniors. So it was going to be hard.
- 6:04New Hampshire and Maine were the best in the country at the time.
- 6:06So I, I did, they were in the Frozen 4 for like 3 years in a
- 6:10row at the time that I was a kid.
- 6:11So I, I chose to go to Niagara. I didn't sign my letter of
- 6:15intent. I hurt my knee at a Canadian
- 6:16tournament and they didn't want to give me my full scholarship.
- 6:20They decided that they were going to hold on to my and tell
- 6:22me I I'd be a walk on, they'll give me a half a scholarship.
- 6:25And that pissed me off. I walked away from hockey and I
- 6:28never played again. Never played again.
- 6:30Choose Never played again. And real similar.
- 6:33Yeah, yeah, very similar. That's why I wanted to bring it
- 6:36up to you. Go ahead, Speedy.
- 6:37Yeah, I didn't talk about the kind of football exposure
- 6:40because Errol and I cover a youth football team, Long Island
- 6:42Elite here on Long Island. We've done a lot of events for
- 6:44them. And again, we don't think of
- 6:46like football the same way as you would like Arrow playing
- 6:49hockey and lacrosse and baseball.
- 6:50Yeah, guys like that with football.
- 6:52So at all different levels, both with with youth, with high
- 6:54school football you play at Lawrence and now even going in
- 6:57NASA, Like what was the what was the process like with football
- 7:00for you and you growing into a level of sport like you were
- 7:02saying before? Truthfully, it was.
- 7:06It really just came from just all those games that I I think I
- 7:11grew up in a really golden era of football, especially like the
- 7:15late late 2000s, like 2009, two thousand and ten 2011.
- 7:22Like when you're a kid, you're most influenced by whatever it
- 7:25is that intrigues you. And I watched tons of amazing
- 7:28games and I was a huge Giants fan growing up, so I had a real
- 7:32love for Eli Manning, you know, Brandon Jacobs and all that.
- 7:35And obviously, you know, you're a kid and most of my friends all
- 7:38played football, so a lot of it came from that.
- 7:41But then I I started to develop my own love by just, you know,
- 7:44watching high tapes of greats like Reggie Bush, you know,
- 7:47Barry Sanders and trying to emulate their game.
- 7:50I wasn't really the type of dude to really sit there and get on
- 7:53the the footwork ladder and all that, But I'd love to just watch
- 7:57film and just look at these guys and just try to practice the
- 8:00moves in in practice. And then if it worked out,
- 8:02couldn't practice and I'd do it in the game.
- 8:04And that's just how I came to love the game of football for
- 8:08real. Now, obviously, and if anybody
- 8:11doesn't know, we're talking to Las Vegas Raiders running back
- 8:14Chris Collier. Long Island native.
- 8:16Very happy to have him on a show.
- 8:18You were an undrafted player and, and, and you got a
- 8:24three-year deal, $2.8 million contract from the Baltimore
- 8:27Ravens. And like I said, I did my
- 8:29research on you. So I got a chance that I usually
- 8:32I usually don't, but you're a Long Island.
- 8:34I I like to have some fun. You'll see I.
- 8:37I can go. But I, I want you to know that
- 8:40I, I as a player and as a hockey player and as a Long Island
- 8:43native, I love when I hear these stories from Long Island and
- 8:47even New York guys that make it and, and, and do something with
- 8:51their careers in sports. It's not easy to get to that,
- 8:53that next level. It's one of the hardest things
- 8:55to do. So to get to that level, you got
- 8:57to be the best of the best. I don't care what anybody says.
- 8:59There's not many players that get a chance to do what you're
- 9:01doing today. When you got that contract, what
- 9:04was it like? What was it relief?
- 9:06How did you feel? Oh man, it was.
- 9:07It was definitely relief. It was.
- 9:10Most money you've ever seen in your life, obviously.
- 9:12Oh yeah, 100%. But it's funny because you see
- 9:16those numbers, but in reality, that's not what you actually
- 9:19get. What happens is that's the
- 9:22contract if you make the roster. What happened with me was since
- 9:27I went undrafted, you know, you're kind of in this bidding
- 9:30system and you're able to basically choose what team you
- 9:34want to go to, whichever teams are interested.
- 9:36I had about like 25 teams interested and I had my pick.
- 9:40But the Ravens were, funny enough, the first team to
- 9:44actually call me and say, hey, this is how much we're going to
- 9:47give you. And I didn't want to play around
- 9:49with it. You know, all the calls came
- 9:51after the Ravens, but I already signed and I already did all
- 9:53that, so I just went to them. But what they actually offered
- 9:57me was like 5000 guaranteed. That's it.
- 9:59So you see that three-year, $2.8 million contract, but only $5000
- 10:04is guaranteed. So, you know, you go through
- 10:07OTAs, you go through training camp, and you just get like a
- 10:11per diem. So you're not really seeing any
- 10:13type of crazy money. This is for people that don't
- 10:15know how it goes. You may be getting as a rookie.
- 10:17I think I was getting maybe like 1200 a week, but I was getting
- 10:22Maryland taxes. So it was really like $800 a
- 10:24week. But they covered housing and all
- 10:28that. So you don't really have to
- 10:29worry about that. But you know, I go through the
- 10:30preseason. I have an alright preseason.
- 10:33It wasn't as good as I wanted it to be, but they thought it was
- 10:35good enough where they kept me on the team.
- 10:37So now I got on the practice squad.
- 10:39Now that three-year $2.8 million contract is out the window.
- 10:43Now you're making you're, you're on a yearly contract, like a
- 10:46year contract and it's only about like maybe 250,000 and you
- 10:55basically go with that. But you know, I ended up getting
- 10:57elevated 3 games. So I saw that game check and
- 10:59that's when you see that money for real.
- 11:01And when I saw that, buddy, I think I my first game was the
- 11:07Cowboys. And that's a that's no state
- 11:11income tax, No income, no state income tax.
- 11:14Yeah. So you see the full check, but I
- 11:16saw that full check. Oh, my gosh.
- 11:20That's what I had that feeling that you're talking about when
- 11:22you see that money is like the most you've ever seen.
- 11:24But yeah, I was, I was moved. I was had tears of joy and I
- 11:28just kind of wanted to keep fighting.
- 11:30And I ended up getting two more games after that elevator.
- 11:32And then they ended up signing me to the active roster.
- 11:35I played a couple games and yeah, the rest of the rest of
- 11:40his history, honestly. So the guy that's coaching the
- 11:42New York Giants now is the guy that was your coach with the
- 11:46Ravens and John Harbaugh. What was he like as a as a on
- 11:49the off the field personalities as a coach for you in his rookie
- 11:52year? And how do you think he will
- 11:53work over there with the Giants now that he's over there?
- 11:55He'll work a great deal. I'll tell you what, them boys
- 11:58are going to be working. I feel like John Harbaugh and I
- 12:01just feel like the AFC, probably the AFC North in general with
- 12:04their training camps is just so gritty.
- 12:07That's why the AFC North was like that for as long as it's
- 12:10been just gritty, gritty teams. And they will expect a guy who's
- 12:16a very personal player. He's got a lot of faith, which I
- 12:20loved, is very spiritually sound, you know, gave a lot of
- 12:23spiritual knowledge. And he, as long as you, you
- 12:27know, in this business, it's a business at the end of the day,
- 12:30but as long as you do R and your P's and Q's and you're doing
- 12:33what you got to do, he's a real personal guy.
- 12:35He loves to get to know his players.
- 12:37And that's exactly what he did to me.
- 12:38And I was an undrafted guy from AD 2.
- 12:41So, you know, went from him to Lamar.
- 12:44He treated me just just as nice. We are talking to Las Vegas
- 12:48Raiders running back Chris Collier, Long Island native from
- 12:50Hempstead and worked his way up from college.
- 12:54Or I'm talking about Nassau Community College to regular
- 12:57college to obvious be an undrafted player.
- 13:00Then you got a chance to be coached by John Harbaugh and I
- 13:03want to go to your Raider. The last two years, the Raiders,
- 13:06you've had two different coaches.
- 13:07You have had Antonio Pierce, who I obviously a guy that you
- 13:11looked up to, you probably followed when you were a Giant
- 13:13fan. So you got a chance to be
- 13:15coached by a guy that you rooted for.
- 13:17And then Pete Carroll, who is one of the more interesting
- 13:20personalities in the NFL. He really is.
- 13:24And I, I met funny thing, funny story with Pete Carroll is I met
- 13:27Pete Carroll when he was an assistant coach for the New York
- 13:29Jets. I was a kid, I was young and
- 13:32Pete Carroll came from the Patriots.
- 13:34So I remember that. And he wasn't successful as a
- 13:37coordinator. He was actually The Jets coach
- 13:39for a couple of games, but he wasn't very successful as we all
- 13:42know most guys are. And I'm a Jet fan, so I know all
- 13:45about it. So I, I know a little bit about
- 13:48Pete. Pete is a very unique
- 13:50individual. He, he knows his X's and P
- 13:53whatever YS&X's or X's and Q's and he understands how to
- 13:58manipulate the defensive side of the ball.
- 14:00He's very good at that. And he has been a person that
- 14:03I've always thought a very one, very successful coach.
- 14:06He he won two national championships.
- 14:09I know a lot of people want to blame him for cheating or
- 14:12whatever the hell it is. Who cares?
- 14:14I don't care. I don't.
- 14:15To me, they were all doing it. So, USC.
- 14:17And then doing it. Yeah, everybody was doing it in
- 14:19Seattle. He won a Super Bowl, should have
- 14:21won two Super Bowls if he didn't make that terrible call, not
- 14:24giving the ball to Marshawn Lynch, which he's probably going
- 14:27to be tacked for the rest of his life.
- 14:29And now you got a chance with a third coach in three in 2 1/2
- 14:34years. Actually, it's not even three
- 14:35years. Ago.
- 14:36And you don't know who it's going to be.
- 14:38So what was it like being coached for from a guy that you
- 14:41looked up to? Antonio Pierce and then Pete
- 14:43Carroll. Antonio Pierce was a real Both
- 14:46of them are players coach, but Antonio Pierce is one of the
- 14:48more those more chill laid back. You know, he was just up and
- 14:52coming into it. I only got there towards the end
- 14:55of the season with him, but he was he was a great dude.
- 14:58I I was only there for about like maybe I think six weeks
- 15:02until unfortunately he got fired.
- 15:05But he did give me my first opportunities.
- 15:06He got me on the roster again after being cut from the Ravens.
- 15:11He gave me a shot. He gave me full faith.
- 15:14He was one of those guys actually talked to you.
- 15:16You know, sometimes there's those coaches that just be about
- 15:18their business, don't really talk to the players.
- 15:20He actually talked to his guys. He talked to me a good amount.
- 15:23And Pete, Pete, I love Pete. He's a he's a character, but
- 15:31he's real to the T, he's to the books.
- 15:33He's intense, but he's a players coach and he has a lot of love
- 15:37for his players. And he was, he showed that every
- 15:39single day. We had a very competitive
- 15:41nature. I mean, OTAs, the way the season
- 15:44went, unfortunately, and just seeing how hard we worked, I was
- 15:49just very surprised and it was very disappointing to see how
- 15:51the season went. But Pete was real about his
- 15:54philosophy, and I know his philosophy did work because it
- 15:58did work with the Seattle Seahawks when he was with them.
- 16:01And, you know, sometimes just clicks and chemistry just don't
- 16:06align. And that's just sad.
- 16:09Part of the game that just has to do with business and
- 16:11transactions that happens with the roster, unfortunately.
- 16:14But he was a great dude. I love Pete.
- 16:16So you had two players that was told to sit at three games at
- 16:20the end of the season because a lot of people believe they
- 16:23wanted that number one pick. And I believe it cost Pete
- 16:27Carroll his job. I I really do.
- 16:29Max Crosby was not happy. He he doesn't care about the
- 16:33first pick. He doesn't care about any of
- 16:34that. And you have, to me, one of the
- 16:36best tight ends in all of football, he's a beast, a beast
- 16:40of a man. And and he was told, both guys
- 16:42were told that to sit out. Now, I don't know what's going
- 16:45to happen with Max Crosby. Some people believe that he's
- 16:47going to ask for a trade. Who knows at that point of the
- 16:51season and you're a player, you're you're the, you're a
- 16:54player. That's not obviously as
- 16:56important to the roster as the way they look at you.
- 16:59When you look at that specific situation, what were you
- 17:02thinking? If if you were a coach and you
- 17:04were told Pete Carroll was told sit those guys as a player, when
- 17:08you have a chance to win those last three games or or two out
- 17:11of the three games, what were you thinking as a player?
- 17:13As a player, I was definitely like I could, I could say a
- 17:17majority, if not all the players were very upset and disappointed
- 17:22because we were all still fighting regardless.
- 17:24We're at the highest level of football.
- 17:26Nobody wants to get clown on TV. Nobody wants to be seen losing.
- 17:29And when you take, you know, some guys that are real
- 17:32detrimental, like Max Crosby, who literally does not come off
- 17:35the field at all, plays every play 100% it hurts.
- 17:40And to see his pain in it, you know, he he was upset for from
- 17:44it. And I could see walking in the
- 17:46building, you know, he was always one of the earliest guys.
- 17:48Even when he was sat out, he was still, you know, early doing his
- 17:52rehab. He knew his knee was messed up.
- 17:54I'm not going to sit here in line.
- 17:55His knee was messed up, definitely was.
- 17:59But he was still attacking her 100%.
- 18:02Same thing with Brock. You know, Brock had that knee
- 18:05thing earlier in the season. I can't really speak too much on
- 18:09it after the fact, of course, because he was playing like a
- 18:11beast. But yeah, that's just stuff that
- 18:16happens in the training room that, you know, I'm not part of
- 18:19those conversations. But unfortunately that's just
- 18:21the way it went down. And all the players just didn't,
- 18:23you know, obviously like it. None of us liked it, truthfully.
- 18:26And I, I truly believe Pete didn't want that either.
- 18:29But you know, sometimes it's just.
- 18:32You got to do what somebody tells you, right?
- 18:34You got to do what the the GM and executives and ownerships or
- 18:39maybe even Tom Brady, Who knows moving on to the your your
- 18:46running backroom, precisely where he most of was a veteran
- 18:49leader that was in that group who's like 33 years old now.
- 18:52He's bumped around the league and done a lot.
- 18:53Obviously Ashton Ginti, the the should have been Heisman Trophy
- 18:56winner in college. Absolutely amid Ashton, that's a
- 18:59pick. And then even a nice guy is
- 19:01actually coming on our show next month.
- 19:02He's actually traveling in Japan.
- 19:03Dylan lobby, lobby or lobby. He's actually coming on the show
- 19:07next month. He's traveling to Japan right
- 19:09now, but he'll be on with us. So that running back room, those
- 19:11those three guys, what have been they've been like for you as
- 19:15most as a as a mentor for you as a veteran guy.
- 19:17Ginti is the flashy veteran of the lobby is another younger
- 19:19guy. I love that room.
- 19:21That is probably in all my years of playing football, that is the
- 19:24most tight knit group I've ever been a part of and that I've
- 19:29ever seen. We just all get along.
- 19:32We all joke around. Meetings were just amazing.
- 19:34Even through the turmoil and like the tribulations and trials
- 19:37we were going through, we just always found a way to make one
- 19:40another smile and laugh, you know?
- 19:42Raheem especially was a great mentor for all of us.
- 19:45He's been there for 11 years. He's been in the league for 11
- 19:47years. And especially when he first got
- 19:50there and I heard his story and I actually got to, you know,
- 19:52obviously research about him and look up his story.
- 19:55I mean, he had a real, real, a lot of trials to go through when
- 20:00he first got into the league. But I feel like that's what made
- 20:03him the player that he is. And he gives so much knowledge
- 20:05about it. And it really helped me out
- 20:07during. As I got to talk to him to see
- 20:11like, you know, see that light at the end of the tunnel, you
- 20:13know, Ashton's a great dude, real humble, just amazing
- 20:16player. Just seeing what he does.
- 20:18I love studying his tape and seeing how he reacts, what he
- 20:21sees, You know, we talk all the time.
- 20:23He tells me how it is what, what could be done in certain
- 20:27situations. He's a great film junkie.
- 20:29And Dylan, Dylan's just a Dylan's a great dude.
- 20:33I love Dylan. He he's a hard worker and you
- 20:36know, when it's time to goof around, he could be a class
- 20:38clown. And he was definitely the
- 20:39funniest guy in our room and he kept all of our spirits high.
- 20:43And you know, Zamir White was definitely one of the quieter
- 20:46ones, but he was always that one, that one solid rock that
- 20:49always had each of our backs and was just a great dude to be
- 20:52around. Very loving, very caring and
- 20:54very genuine and down to earth. We are talking to Las Vegas
- 20:57Raiders running back Chris Collie.
- 20:59All right, now let's get into it.
- 21:00Chris number one first draft pick of this year.
- 21:06In 2026, the Raiders pick who? You know this answer, I think
- 21:13everybody in this country knows this answer.
- 21:17I'm not, I'm not, I'm not in that front office.
- 21:20And I can't really say what I I want to say or could say.
- 21:25I know what? I know what you're going to say.
- 21:27I'll do it for you, all right? I'll pretend I'm Roger the the
- 21:32pain in the ass Adele at #1 The Las Vegas Raiders select Indiana
- 21:40Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
- 21:45That's what's. Yeah, that's what's going to
- 21:47happen. I said it.
- 21:50I said it and you said it. I mean, you got a chance to
- 21:53watch the national championships.
- 21:54You've seen what he this kid has done and all the trials and
- 21:57tribulations. And it's it's fitting when you
- 21:59think of his story, it it's crazy.
- 22:01He grew up in Miami, always wanted to play for the the
- 22:04Hurricanes. And who does he play in the
- 22:05national championship? the Hurricanes.
- 22:07Where does he play it in Miami? And then wins and has that
- 22:11unbelievable run for that touchdown, which is epic.
- 22:14What type of player do you think Fernando Mendoza would be if the
- 22:18Raiders drafted him? If the Raiders.
- 22:22I'm trying to help you here. I'm trying to.
- 22:23Protect you If the Raiders draft him, he would be a great, great
- 22:30asset. He would be a great leader.
- 22:31He's a one thing I love about him and that I've really seen a
- 22:37lot and he makes it known is that he's a man of God.
- 22:39And you know, that story that you just said just seems to be
- 22:42God's time and God's plan and everything that he's got and
- 22:45going on is just part of the journey.
- 22:47And the way he keeps his head on straight, he's destined for
- 22:51success. He he seemed seems like a hard
- 22:54worker. He's obviously proven to be a
- 22:56hard worker with what he's done with that team and getting to
- 23:00that point and winning that big game and it's just I'm very
- 23:04excited to see how his pre draft process goes when he does.
- 23:08He probably won't have to test, but I would love to see him
- 23:11still throw and all that other good stuff and just, you know, I
- 23:14can't wait to see what it's like when he's in the league.
- 23:16But I definitely see a lot of success in the future with the
- 23:18way he's set up his life. I will say this, I'm a Jet fan
- 23:22so they were sitting at 2 and I'm very upset because I I
- 23:26really would have liked to see Mendoza in a Jets green and.
- 23:29White. It's not happening.
- 23:31I know you're smirking, you're laughing, you're giggling.
- 23:33And I know you're a Giant fan, so you don't want to see him go
- 23:36to The Jets either. But as a Jet fan, that's what I
- 23:39wanted to see. But what's amazing about him, I
- 23:42was at his Heisman Trophy dinner and I got a chance to meet him.
- 23:46I asked him a couple of questions.
- 23:47I was one of very few guys that got a chance to answer, ask him
- 23:50questions. And I asked him what would it be
- 23:52like to play in New York? And he says I New York is
- 23:55beautiful. And he says the people here are
- 23:57beautiful. And he says I, I know the fan
- 23:59base. It doesn't matter if it was a
- 24:01Giants or The Jets are sacred to, you know, to the players and
- 24:05sacred to their organizations. And I, he is a, he's a very
- 24:09refined person. I can tell you that about him.
- 24:12Personality wise, I think he can play anywhere and I think he'll
- 24:16be successful. He's not a flashy guy, but he
- 24:19does everything right and he's a great accurate thrower.
- 24:23So I think you guys are going to like him.
- 24:26I also met Ashton Gente in in the year before at the at the
- 24:31other Heisman Trophy dinner, which I thought he got robbed
- 24:34because no way in hell I thought Travis the Gremlin hunter should
- 24:38have won the damn friggin trophy.
- 24:41OK, And that's the truth. I thought he was one of the most
- 24:43overrated Heisman Trophy winners of all time.
- 24:46I don't care if he played too. You know, he played a cornerback
- 24:48position, wide receiver. And I told everybody he was
- 24:50going to fail in the NFL. And I know you, I'm not going to
- 24:54do it in front of you and I'll let you say anything, but Ashton
- 24:57Jetty was the best player in the country.
- 24:59He was the best player in the country.
- 25:01He should have won the Heisman Trophy.
- 25:03He got robbed. And I'll tell you this, I'll say
- 25:06this. Dylan Gabriel was there after
- 25:09the thing. And I remember he was sitting
- 25:10there when they were doing, when he made his final speech,
- 25:13Hunter, he was telling the media during that he says Gente got
- 25:17robbed. And I absolutely agree that
- 25:20agree with that. I met Gente.
- 25:22I had a conversation with him for like 5 minutes and Travis is
- 25:25there. He is there.
- 25:26That's where look, look, I don't think you see it right over
- 25:29here. There's the picture of him right
- 25:30there. You like that?
- 25:32You like that Chris? I mean, come on, he's going to
- 25:36have nightmare. Listen, when you go, when you
- 25:38when you're done with the show tonight, go look up Travis the
- 25:41Gremlin hunter. I'm the one who gave him that
- 25:43nickname. It's all over social media.
- 25:46I gave him that nickname. I even got a jersey in the back
- 25:49that says the gremlin on the back of it.
- 25:51His jersey Jacksonville Jack was the Gremlin and we're going to
- 25:54have somebody on our show in a very few weeks and who we have
- 25:58on Foraya Luke and it was their defensive captain linebacker
- 26:01Foraya Lukein, who's been on a show before he's a great friend
- 26:04of the show and he's one of the best linebackers in the NFL
- 26:07right now. I mean he's he's been that for
- 26:09the last five years. One of the best tacklers.
- 26:12I I'm I'm interested to hear what he thinks about his his
- 26:16buddy Travis Hunter because I don't like him I met him I had a
- 26:19conversation with him and I just didn't like his personnel.
- 26:22I didn't like anything about him.
- 26:23I didn't. And then when and he was
- 26:25telling, he was telling, I think it was, I think it was Ward.
- 26:29He was telling Ward. And I, by the way, if you watch
- 26:31the Ward documentary on what is it?
- 26:36What's that? Timo, Timo, Timo the third, the
- 26:40third episode, when he was at the Heisman, the Heisman dinner,
- 26:43I was there. I actually have a video of me in
- 26:45there. So I was, I was the last guy.
- 26:47Yeah, it's pretty funny. And I was one of the last, I I
- 26:50was the one standing at Ward. I was asking all the questions
- 26:54during during the interview, so it was funny and I asked Ward.
- 26:57I said what do you think about your boy over there who's going
- 27:01to be a well, I didn't know he's going to be a brown, but Shador,
- 27:05and he says I'm better than Shador.
- 27:06Shador is one of the most overrated players.
- 27:09It's so funny because Shadora is now going to be playing in the
- 27:13Pro Bowl. It makes no.
- 27:15Sense. It makes absolutely no sense
- 27:18that a third string quarterback, honestly a fourth string fourth
- 27:22string quarterback before the season even started because
- 27:24Kenny Pickett was there as playing in a Pro Bowl who only
- 27:28played what, three games this year, 4 games?
- 27:30I mean, it's ridiculous. The NFL is just absolutely
- 27:33bogus. I don't understand.
- 27:34But I'm not talking about them. I got to get more into what what
- 27:37I think about you. And so you have a chance now,
- 27:40depending on the coach, you have a chance to win a bigger and
- 27:44more prestige position here with the the Raiders.
- 27:47What are you going to do this offseason to get you to that
- 27:49point? Where you going to to make that
- 27:51next step? Obviously, you know, I got back
- 27:54to it early. I mean, as soon as I got back, I
- 27:56didn't really have any rest period that I need to have
- 27:59because, you know, I didn't really play as much this season.
- 28:03So I got back to it, back on my morning routine.
- 28:06I live in the gym. I love the gym.
- 28:08So do I I love being on the field.
- 28:10Yeah, you'd already know how it. Is I love the.
- 28:12Gym therapy. It's therapy.
- 28:14Dude, I do maybe we have a push up contest.
- 28:16I mean, I do 3000 push ups every single week.
- 28:20I do 12,000. So Herschel Walker has been
- 28:23known to do the calisthenic workout.
- 28:25So I follow a lot of his training, you know, methods And
- 28:28I I'm also I lift. I do that, but I don't lift like
- 28:31I used to. I used to bench like 375.
- 28:34That was the most I've ever benched.
- 28:35I did that, by the way, just so everybody knows, I did 375 in my
- 28:39strong points 7-8 times, so I'm pretty.
- 28:42Strong. I'm pretty.
- 28:43Strong guy, so I'm doing 3000. Push ups.
- 28:47I am I'm a pretty strong guy. I still to this day I do now I
- 28:50made AI made a bet. Who did I make a bet with What
- 28:53would NFL savior Woods savior woods now I said that I told
- 28:57Xavier Woods that he was on a show.
- 28:59I said to him, I said I could do 222525 times off my chest maybe
- 29:04even hit 30 and he says I'd I love to see that.
- 29:06I said how many could you do? I could do 10.
- 29:08I said dude I'll burn 10 easily off my chest 225, So that's a.
- 29:13Different type than. Does yeah, yeah, I told him, he
- 29:16says. I got to see this.
- 29:18I got to see if you could do that.
- 29:19It's like, would you give me 15,000?
- 29:22He says. I'm not going to give you.
- 29:23That out of 30. But, but Xavier Woods is a good
- 29:29dude, man. He was a really good interview
- 29:31and he had a great personality. But, and you're, you're, you're
- 29:33a Long Island guy and, and I love that about you.
- 29:36I love that your your work ethic and and really the understanding
- 29:40of what it takes to get to that next level is special and, and,
- 29:43and to be chosen to play in the NFL and make the roster where
- 29:49there's maybe I think, what is IT250250 players?
- 29:52What is it like? In the.
- 29:54League in the league that get a chance to play every single
- 29:57season you're one of those 250 people that's amazing that's
- 30:02that is something that no even if you never play another snap
- 30:05in your the rest of your career, that's something you can tell
- 30:09your kids that's something. You can tell my grandkids.
- 30:11Yeah, that's something you can tell everybody.
- 30:14What is it like knowing that you're one of the best in the
- 30:17world at your position? Just blessed, man.
- 30:19You know, I, I'm a real humble guy.
- 30:22I don't really think of it in that way, to be honest.
- 30:25Like I always think like I have more work to do.
- 30:28Obviously see the guys in front of me and obviously want to get
- 30:30on that, that field. So but when you put in that
- 30:34perspective, it makes you look back and be like, damn, like
- 30:37this is really a blessing is one of guys, guys grace grabs mercy
- 30:41because of what I've been through in terms of like my knee
- 30:44injury. You know how I have to go to the
- 30:45JUCO route, how when I went D1, it didn't really work out.
- 30:49So I stepped down a level and humble myself, put the pride
- 30:52aside and go down a level and just try to ball out.
- 30:55And he made a way when it just seemed like there was no way
- 30:58honestly. And that's just how I have to
- 31:00look at it. And I thank you for those words,
- 31:04man. No, it's listen, man, I I think
- 31:06what, what's what's so understanding about players and
- 31:09athletes is you only get to do this in a short time and and to
- 31:14work so hard to get to that. The highest level is special.
- 31:18And I, I don't, it was the one thing that I always wanted to
- 31:21do. And and to this day it bothers
- 31:23that. I mean, I screwed my that up,
- 31:25but I got that wasn't my plan from God.
- 31:27My plan from God was to do this. And I believe that one way or
- 31:30another, and I'll say it again, that I'm as good as anybody in
- 31:34this industry for what I do. And, and I believe that I'm
- 31:36going to get to that next level and at the highest level.
- 31:39And I'm going to be considered from, from all those other guys,
- 31:42from the Stephen A Smith's to the Pat Mcafee's to all those
- 31:44jock, jock asses. Or I don't want to say, I don't
- 31:48want to say the other word, but jock asses because I, I'll tell
- 31:51you this man, I don't, I'm not fake.
- 31:53Everything about this show is real.
- 31:55All my guys that are on it from fish.
- 31:57To. Speedy to Jobby, everybody, all
- 32:00the guys, the interns that we have, all the guys that work
- 32:02with us, we all are real. We're we're not, we're not here
- 32:06for the sake of just doing a podcast.
- 32:08Hold your podcast, Darrell. I mean, this isn't a podcast.
- 32:11This is this is a top 200 show in the country.
- 32:13It's been that way for the last six months.
- 32:16We can compete against any one of those guys.
- 32:17And we don't even have the backing the ESPNCBS and the NFL
- 32:21networks have. As a matter of fact, we beat out
- 32:23the biggest NFL podcast in December at 170.
- 32:28We were ranked 117 in the country and we were beating out
- 32:32podcast that the NFL are putting out there and promoting and with
- 32:36all the money behind it. So that's just a lot about who
- 32:39we are and what we do and how hard are we work.
- 32:41So I know what it is to take and what it is 13 years of doing
- 32:44this. And and to this day, I want I
- 32:46want to be I want to be put into the position and you know, I'm
- 32:49dealing with agents and stuff like that.
- 32:51And I think agents are fake. I think they're all fake and and
- 32:54I'm telling the truth. They're.
- 32:56Real fake man. They're real fake.
- 32:58I I could talk to dude I've talked to in the last past three
- 33:03months, I've talked about 10 agents and they're all give me
- 33:06their and I and I, I know what they're going to say to me
- 33:11before they say it. As a matter of fact, I can mimic
- 33:13exactly what they're going to ask me.
- 33:15And you know what it is is you you guys don't want to work.
- 33:19Agents don't want to work. Agents just want to take
- 33:23whatever is there that is already in position and they
- 33:25want to build it up so they can make more money when they don't
- 33:28realize what there's a diamond in the rough.
- 33:30And that's what I look at when I talk to all these different
- 33:32athletes over the years that have eventually become
- 33:34successful is they're a diamond in a rough.
- 33:37They're they're looked at is the small little fish in a sea with
- 33:41big fish and you got to drive as a fish.
- 33:44You, you got to be Nemo and and you got to you got to find your
- 33:48father, But you know, you got to get to that.
- 33:50You got to get to the stop and, and, and make sure that you
- 33:53don't bump into a shark. And that's what I think agents
- 33:55are. They're sharks, They're sharks.
- 33:58And I, I want people to understand that it's not easy to
- 34:01get to the top. You got to work your ass off and
- 34:04you got to go through these trials and tribulations as an
- 34:07athlete, as a radio broadcast. And people ask me, I've been on
- 34:10shows, Chris and they ask me, well, how do I get to that point
- 34:14with you? Like, and I'm, I'm, I'm a, I'm a
- 34:16nobody's like you're my favorite broadcaster.
- 34:19And, and I said what that means a lot to me.
- 34:21And, and, and I, they interview me and they ask me questions and
- 34:24I say, listen, if you ever need help, you ever want to, if you
- 34:27ever have a question, you need anything for me to help you, I'm
- 34:30going to do that. I will do whatever it takes to
- 34:32help you get where you want to go just as well as I, you know,
- 34:36anybody in this industry should do to anybody.
- 34:38But in this, in this industry, it's cutthroat.
- 34:42Nobody wants to help you. Nobody wants to do anything
- 34:44because they're afraid of you. And it's the same thing with
- 34:46you. You're a kid no matter what.
- 34:48You got five guys in that running, running backroom and
- 34:51you're friends with all of them. But you're competing.
- 34:54You're competing for play time. And that's what we do.
- 34:57We compete for obviously analytics, we compete for, for a
- 35:02really, you know, notoriety. And I don't think we get enough
- 35:05of it like we should because I think I'll put us against
- 35:08anybody in the country. If Stephen A Smith ever wants to
- 35:11come on this show and go one-on-one with me, I will burn
- 35:14a hole in his ass and I'll give him 2.
- 35:16Holes. He could be all fishing in the
- 35:18other one. We'll stick a string in one of
- 35:20them so we can tie him to a hook when we're done.
- 35:22Hey, the two holes. Jobless favorites.
- 35:23That's right. That's right.
- 35:25Yes. I got the bubble guts.
- 35:27I have to take a shit as he always says, you know, but I,
- 35:30I'll tell you man, I, I, I appreciate you dude.
- 35:33I, I do and let's stay in touch. I'll have speedy get your
- 35:35information. Let's be in touch, man.
- 35:38I, I, I think it's a great story and we work with a lot of 495
- 35:42elite guys. And then whenever you come, if
- 35:43you ever want to talk and you want to speak to these kids, I
- 35:46can work. I can, I can work on something
- 35:48like that. These some of the the best young
- 35:51Long Island guys that have come. The Jets have a tight end that
- 35:53came from Long Island is. Is.
- 35:56Jeremy Rucker, who's you know from what is it?
- 36:00Lindenhurst, Lindenhurst, Long Island.
- 36:02And he's playing for the team that he rooted for since he was
- 36:05a kid. He was drafted by that team and
- 36:06he played for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
- 36:08So and he's getting a chance and, and he's still on the team,
- 36:11he's still on the roster. So why not root for a Long
- 36:13Islander? I always do.
- 36:15And I, I want you, I want you guys to be successful because if
- 36:18you're successful, people going to look this way and say,
- 36:21listen, this is a place to go. This is a place.
- 36:24Place to get kids. That's right.
- 36:26And work and and train and, and, and get an opportunity to
- 36:29succeed. And like I said, there's a lot
- 36:31of people in this world that will never get into the point or
- 36:35at that point where you're at today.
- 36:37And the OR story behind it is, is unique, special, and you
- 36:42should be really proud of yourself and, and tell your
- 36:44father and your mother that you know, I, I, I don't even know
- 36:47you. I could tell you're a good kid.
- 36:49And I know your father pushed you, man.
- 36:51My father's gone. He's been gone for 10 years,
- 36:53man. And one thing my father told me
- 36:54before, before he passed away, he said, you're great at what
- 36:57you do. And he said he came here and he
- 36:59watched me do it. He said, great, you're great at
- 37:01my father passed away and he rest in peace.
- 37:02And he told me, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 37:06I do this for him every single day.
- 37:09I do this for him every single day because he told me don't
- 37:12ever quit. Go out there.
- 37:13Do do what you do and and and all great things are going to
- 37:17happen. So and that's why I still do it,
- 37:19man. That's why I still do it.
- 37:20So compete be the best. You know that's it.
- 37:24I'm a competitor, baby. Smack that speedy smack that I'm
- 37:29not smacking anything. Well, you like to smack beef,
- 37:31right? No, I don't.
- 37:32You like to eat beef that's different.
- 37:34Well, you like sausages. Yes.
- 37:37You like it dry? White, Black.
- 37:39What? Do you like it spicy?
- 37:40Spicy and what? Dark.
- 37:42There you go. Dark and spicy.
- 37:44There you go. Chris.
- 37:44Can you tell him? Chris, can you tell him?
- 37:46There's a physical difference between smacking something and
- 37:50eating something? I don't know.
- 37:51I mean, there's a lot of ways of doing it if you don't.
- 37:53Oh my. God, there's a lot of Oh yeah, I
- 38:03must have covered up that heist very well.
- 38:04There's no grease on the back. Well, you know, there's many
- 38:10ways you could put grease on it if you know what I've made.
- 38:13I would hope it's not that way, but OK.
- 38:16Anyways, man, we love you, man. Let's stay in touch.
- 38:20And of course, brother, congratulations, man.
- 38:22Have a good season, have a good offseason, and we'll talk.
- 38:25I'll reach out to you. We'll talk.
- 38:27Yes, Sir. Yes, Sir.
- 38:28Yeah, let me know about that. I'd love to do that for those
- 38:30kids. Absolutely.
- 38:31I'll, I'll work. I'll work and I'll talk to Ben.
- 38:33Ben Carrie. He runs 495 Elite and Gerald
- 38:36Filardi, who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and won two
- 38:38national championships at for Penn State.
- 38:41So I'll talk to them. If you're out here.
- 38:44Let's get that going. I'll work on that.
- 38:46Let's do it, man. All right, man, Chris Collier,
- 38:49ladies and gentlemen. Come on.
- 38:51Give him a golf clap, sweetie. Don't pull any sausages out
- 38:54tonight. No sausages.
- 38:56All right, Chris Collier. Chris, we love you, man.
- 38:59Chris Collier, ladies and gentlemen, wonderful, wonderful
- 39:02interview. He is a great kid special and
- 39:06and you could tell that the kid is to me, he has that it factor
- 39:11that you want an athlete to have the the the work ethic in the
- 39:15understanding what it takes to get to that next level.
- 39:17It is it's an amazing story. I was reading a story before the
- 39:19show. I everybody asked me, do you
- 39:21actually read, you know, before you get the yes, mostly never do
- 39:25that, ladies and gentlemen, I don't do it.
- 39:27But when I want to get to know somebody that's from my, my, my
- 39:31town, my, my, my city, my you know, where I'm from, I want to
- 39:36know everything about this kid. And, and to me, I don't care if
- 39:40he never plays another snap in the NFL.
- 39:41To be a part of a roster where there are only 250 players
- 39:45getting picked every single year to play in the NFL.
- 39:48That is an amazing story for a guy that had to work so hard and
- 39:51blew out his knee and to get to that next level, it is amazing.
- 39:54And, and I think he would be an inspirational speech taker to
- 39:59the OR speech maker to these kids.
- 40:01And I, I think I'm going to work on that.
- 40:03I'll talk to Ben, get his number and I'm going to, I'm going to.
- 40:08I'm going to bring Chris Collier over there to talk to the kids.
- 40:11All right, ladies and gentlemen, save your tears.
- 40:13Recap. Mom, what's one thing that you
- 40:17can't talk to me about? My sexual fantasies.
- 40:22Say your sorry. It is not ideal, but if it's
- 40:24what it is, not ideal. But if it is not ideal, but if
- 40:27it is, what mean? You can't treble stamp a double
- 40:30stamp, You can't treble stamp a double stamp Lloyd.
- 40:32You can't dribble stamp a double stamp, but you.
- 40:37Guys, it's time for save your tears because.
- 40:41They don't have. Tongues.
- 40:45Oh God. All right, guys, welcome.
- 40:47To save your tears. Oh, you almost lost your voice.
- 40:50Anyone. I have lost my voice.
- 40:53Let's take this down. I came up with a better way to
- 40:55do this. We're going to put it up in a
- 40:57second. Just want everybody to know that
- 40:59this was the last. Save your tears of the NFL
- 41:04season. Can't really do it with only one
- 41:06game. You need multiple games to get
- 41:07enough guys. We will bring this back for
- 41:10football if you just join us. This is the compliment chorus
- 41:14section of the game. If Tommy, if you're coming.
- 41:17In with the camera. Come on.
- 41:18In we're going to go reveal the winner of the last Savior tears
- 41:23and the first one just like the last one, the winners, the great
- 41:28speedy PD with just the sweep of the season and postseason.
- 41:34I actually eighty place. 83 point O 6 the win.
- 41:40Our guy Ferguson let you down, though.
- 41:43Ferguson had one target. He did not catch it.
- 41:47There were the biggest let down was the booty.
- 41:51Mr. Booty had six. Errol you were talking about
- 41:53earlier inaccuracies from Drake. May 1 catch on 6 targets for
- 41:59Booty for like 6 yards and that's all it gave them there.
- 42:03Devante Adams and Puka Nicole was the way to go.
- 42:06Speedy. Both guys dominated again, just
- 42:10a great offensive display wasn't enough.
- 42:13Errol, you were right to take Kenneth Walker.
- 42:15The third notes. Jack Charbonnet, he got all the
- 42:19carries. What a great performance he had
- 42:22in that win, taking them to the Super Bowl.
- 42:24Sam Darnold just a little bit behind Stafford in the stats.
- 42:27So it was kind of a good use of your money not to take Stafford
- 42:31in that one, but Speedy prevailed nonetheless.
- 42:34Let's go through the compliment chorus.
- 42:36I did absolutely terrible. I will go first that.
- 42:40Was years ago. All right, here we go.
- 42:44Speedy. You know, I don't know what
- 42:48lessons one is to glean from the performance of the ages that you
- 42:55just put on. I would say start to finish,
- 42:58this was like irrelevant If that Patriots team never ran into
- 43:02Michael Strahan and Tom Coughlin's Giants and had a
- 43:06perfect season, just unstoppable.
- 43:09It it it was like, you know what Giselle said Tom Brady couldn't
- 43:13do, which was throw the ball to himself and score.
- 43:16You were able to do that all season long and save your tears.
- 43:20Just a remarkable performance. Congratulations.
- 43:24Not every could be as good as Marcus Mariota throwing the ball
- 43:26themselves and catching. That's not.
- 43:30All right. I think Tommy, you're next,
- 43:35Speedy. Man, you know, I would say it's
- 43:39tiring to come on here every week and have to say my.
- 43:43Kudos to you. For having to get the work done
- 43:46over and save your tears. But then take a shit.
- 43:48I couldn't be happier that it's anybody else as dominant as you
- 43:50were this year. And save your tears man, you
- 43:53really deserve it. You really know your thing when
- 43:55it comes to football. You really know your anal.
- 43:58Picking the guys that know how to how to perform week in and
- 44:01week out. It's loose.
- 44:03I'm glad that you are the one that is reigning supreme.
- 44:06Poor back whore bag. Congrats men.
- 44:10All right, I guess Nathan wants to be added in because he always
- 44:12be a compliment from the previous week.
- 44:14A big boob, I can tell you that. Even though I missed last week,
- 44:18I'm still going to give compliments to our guys.
- 44:21You over here, Speedy. First of all, Congrats again.
- 44:25Obviously, I don't know how you do it.
- 44:26I got to learn more from you. Your numbers guy, your stats
- 44:30guy. Breaking news, smell my ass so,
- 44:33but Congrats, breaking news. A lot of hot ladies.
- 44:38Breaking news. Do you want to jerk me off?
- 44:41Breaking news. I got to go back off now.
- 44:46Well I Congrats. Well deserved.
- 44:50There you go. Combination of that plus the
- 44:56soundboard did it. It works.
- 44:58Suck my indo I love Lisa Ann. Oh yeah, that would be perfect.
- 45:09This graphic will be perfect for two segments from.
- 45:10Now I need a blow pop. It's true.
- 45:18Blow my back out. All right, all right, Speedy.
- 45:21All right, Errol, you're up less to go.
- 45:23All right, Speedy, here's what I'm going to say.
- 45:26I, you know, obviously you're my protege, a guy that I've worked
- 45:30with over the years. You've been around for 10 years
- 45:33almost this year will be 11 years.
- 45:35You've been working with me and you've been one of the guys that
- 45:39I've always depended on. Now there are things sometimes
- 45:41that I wonder if you forget things and you're, you're lost
- 45:44in translation. It's, it's amazing your analytic
- 45:46power of understanding and, and you know, you can go back 20
- 45:50years and tell me a score of the game and who had what and what
- 45:53have what, but you know, 2 weeks later you won't remember what I
- 45:56told you. So you're, you're analytically,
- 45:59you're one of the you have one of the best gifts.
- 46:02If you're a sports fan and you want to go to somebody to ask
- 46:05him a question off the head, is the guy to go to anything else
- 46:09Ron for your life? There he is.
- 46:11There's Jabba Jazz. That's that's actually a homage
- 46:14to one of our comments. Robba.
- 46:16I am definitely. Not going to be the best.
- 46:18Kisser Kisser on the show Spencer Guppy 9457 Whoever,
- 46:22whoever you are. I ram you.
- 46:24I would give, I would give that edge possibly to Nithin, who
- 46:26loves his hot ladies as he always says.
- 46:29But I, you know, Speedy, I, you know, everything that you've
- 46:32done, all the work that you put into I, I respect that.
- 46:36And that's one of the reasons why I continue.
- 46:38I tell you this all the time. There are times that I, for
- 46:41years, I wanted to walk away cuz this is a lot of work.
- 46:43I don't think people understand. Everybody does a podcast.
- 46:46This is not just a podcast, it's a lot of work.
- 46:49And when, when you go out there and you, you want to entertain
- 46:51people and, and, and do the work that you do, Everybody can put a
- 46:55podcast out there, But to put a great product out there, it
- 46:58takes time. It takes work, it takes on
- 47:01understanding, on working with a bunch of personalities.
- 47:04It's not easy. And it one at one point, I'm not
- 47:08going to lie to you guys, two years ago, I wanted to walk
- 47:10away. And, and one of the reasons why
- 47:12is I I hate the way this industry works when it comes to
- 47:15treating people. And, and one of the main reasons
- 47:18why I didn't leave and I haven't walked away from this industry
- 47:21is because of him is because I know that all the, all the
- 47:26trials and tribulations I've been through, he's been there
- 47:28and all the work without, without the time and effort that
- 47:32I've put into this and, and where we're going to go in this
- 47:35industry. If I walk away, he loses his
- 47:38opportunity to get there. And that's what pushes me to
- 47:40move forward with this. So I, that's why and that's the
- 47:43truth. And we talk about this all the
- 47:45time, Speedy. So I, you know, I love you.
- 47:47You're a pain in the ass, but I love you and you deserve a lot
- 47:50of credit for all the work that you do Appreciate it.
- 47:54All right, job. Welcome back.
- 47:56What way? We're we're cooking now.
- 47:58We're cooking. That's awesome.
- 48:00You may as well get it. Get it out of the way.
- 48:03You beat only me. That streaks in my britch years.
- 48:07Speedy The. Booty was not the.
- 48:10Speedy ran the gauntlet regular season postseason.
- 48:14I gave up give booty there. We're not going to do any more.
- 48:17Save your tears for football for the Super Bowl.
- 48:20So it's going to have to be basketball.
- 48:21Probably pick up around the All Star break.
- 48:23I'll let you lick my butt with. NBA save that a level that a
- 48:27level the playing the field. I only the only time I ever won
- 48:30the pulled it out of basketball was with the hockey basketball
- 48:32hybrid. Pulled it out of my ass.
- 48:35Yeah, we're going to try to avoid that, but let's let's not
- 48:38avoid this any longer. Java give speedy.
- 48:41Some compliments Speedy coming in and I will, I will piggyback
- 48:46off of kind of what Errol said. You guys have taught me so much.
- 48:51You, you are somebody that I never realized how smart
- 48:57somebody can be in the things that you've done and how it's
- 49:01how it's made this show great. And Errol and I have talked
- 49:03about this and we didn't know if we were going to work.
- 49:06We didn't know how that was going to happen.
- 49:09And we've not only built a relationship as what we are, but
- 49:14we've built it bigger and that's where it's going to go.
- 49:17And Speedy, you, you are a huge backbone of everything that we
- 49:21do. And, and I know you'll never
- 49:23give yourself credit, but understand it's small and we see
- 49:29it and we know it. And we, we want you to
- 49:33understand that that you are a huge conglomerate and a huge
- 49:37component of what we do. And it just goes to show when
- 49:42you kick our ass every time and all these because you are
- 49:47smarter than us and you do so much that will will not get
- 49:52credit for. But we want you to know that and
- 49:56we care for you. And as much as we give you crap,
- 50:02like we love you dearly. And I'm, I'm learning to love
- 50:05you more and more every day and I can't beat you at anything.
- 50:09So I might as well, you know, I might as well give you the
- 50:12praise you deserve because you're going to kick our butt in
- 50:15all of it. So.
- 50:16Big boobs, I can tell you that. Oh.
- 50:19Gosh, I mean, one day we'll have to have like a like a carnival
- 50:24day where we, we literally all get together and like do like
- 50:27dizzy bats. Jabba liked my shrimp cocktail.
- 50:30Like wiffle ball, like knucklers and stuff like that.
- 50:33Really want to see Speedy Wiffle ball off of you or something
- 50:38like that. I think it.
- 50:38Would be 1 of you. Greatest sporting events that
- 50:42nobody ever thought of. And even in that event if it's
- 50:45in. The.
- 50:48Well, thumb up my ass. Luck has nothing to do with it
- 50:50when we talk about our champion Speedy PD.
- 50:53Yes, and you're not allowed to cry about it and save your
- 50:56tears. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 50:59are what what we going to say first?
- 51:00Of all, great segment with Chris.
- 51:02Thank you. Thank you.
- 51:03Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
- 51:05You know, what it is, is when you do this such a long time,
- 51:08everybody asks me. It's funny, everybody has asked
- 51:11me over the years. You've interviewed so many
- 51:13people. How do you do it and how do you
- 51:15do it? It's crazy.
- 51:16It becomes second nature to you when you do it.
- 51:18But you have to do it in a way. You have to be unique and
- 51:21different. And I always try to do that.
- 51:23And that's my personality and the way I work.
- 51:28And Speedy always tells me he's like, I can't do what you could
- 51:30do. But he said, but it, it's not
- 51:32about what you guys can do what I can do, it's, it's you guys
- 51:36got to be that other factor in the interview.
- 51:39And, and that's what Speedy does.
- 51:41And that's what Java does. I don't have to be as good as
- 51:43me. You just have to work with me
- 51:44and be able to work with me. That's it.
- 51:46That's, that's, that's the hardest part of interviewing
- 51:48people is understanding how you, you can make them laugh and make
- 51:52them feel comfortable so they can open up to you.
- 51:53So and that's that's the most important thing.
- 51:56So and that's Chris. Chris was, he could tell he
- 51:59wasn't, he was uncomfortable in the beginning, but he was
- 52:01laughing and then he kind of just felt like he was part of
- 52:04the boys and and that's when you can get so much out of them and
- 52:07you saw that in his personality. So Chris was great and I
- 52:12appreciate him joining us. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 52:15we call this the whip around. The whip, whip, whip around.
- 52:24What a smack it speedy, smack it again.
- 52:27There's a difference between smacking and eating.
- 52:31Yes, there is. There certainly is a difference.
- 52:35My rear end is. But welcome to the whip around.
- 52:39Yes, we got a few stories to talk about in the NFL besides
- 52:43the championship games. We're going to do those pretty
- 52:45quickly here kind of round the table.
- 52:48Steelers that made their decision.
- 52:50Errol, you were super high on Mike McCarthy, very much so this
- 52:54offseason hiring cycle. He is now the new head coach of
- 52:58the Steelers. It looked like it was going this
- 53:01way pretty early on. A lot of people pulled their
- 53:05names out of contention for the Steelers.
- 53:07McCarthy joins them now. The interesting thing about
- 53:10McCarthy joining them is they just let go Tomlin, who has
- 53:14almost the exact profile of McCarthy, who gets to the
- 53:19playoffs every year but loses in the first round, had the one win
- 53:23earlier on, had the great quarterback that helped them do
- 53:26it at the time. What do you think about this new
- 53:29hire for the Steelers? Here's here's a fact, Aaron
- 53:31Rodgers is still there and that could be a factor right there
- 53:34because he understands how to coach Aaron Rodgers.
- 53:37I believe McCarthy, one of the main reasons why he got the job
- 53:40is because I believe the Pittsburgh Steelers reached out
- 53:43to Aaron Rodgers and said said to him and asked him if if this
- 53:46would be a good fit over there before they made this move.
- 53:48I believe Aaron Rodgers is going to be back next year and that
- 53:51was one of the main reasons. This guy is one of the best
- 53:53offensive minds in the NFL. He's been one of the best
- 53:56offensive minds. He's developed Aaron Rodgers, he
- 53:58developed Dak Prescott. This is a guy that can really
- 54:02transform the the Pittsburgh Steelers offense.
- 54:05This has always been an organization for great defenses.
- 54:08They've been up and down with their offensive side of the
- 54:10ball. Now you have a guy that's the
- 54:12mastermind of a lot of offense and and offenses.
- 54:15He comes from a very unique tree of great coaches, and this is a
- 54:20guy that's going to accomplish a lot over there with the
- 54:22Pittsburgh Steelers. It's a slam dunk.
- 54:24I love it. The Giant should have hired him
- 54:26because I think he would have helped Jackson dart better than
- 54:28John Harble. I said this.
- 54:30And this guy, whoever they bring in as their backup quarterback,
- 54:32a rookie quarterback, I could see the Pittsburgh Steelers
- 54:35drafting tie in this draft, letting him sit out for a year
- 54:39or two, let him learn on to him, and he would be a perfect fit
- 54:42over there with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 54:44I think it's a slam dunk. Great move.
- 54:46Yeah. And you also look at the
- 54:47potential, even if it's not a first round quarterback of a
- 54:49second or third round quarterback that might be a
- 54:50little more raw. You got Carson back, Carson back
- 54:52as possible. You get that.
- 54:54You got that kind of thing. Now, granted, Dak Prosko is
- 54:56always some already somewhat developed, but Dak Prosko went
- 54:58to another level with Mike McCarthy.
- 54:59He was probably an average quarterback before that.
- 55:01And now he was top five, top ten and Aaron Rodgers obviously
- 55:04sitting him the same way to under Brett Favre.
- 55:07If Aaron Rodgers does stay there or not, it's a it's a really
- 55:09good move. The other reason I like it too
- 55:10is for DK Metcalf to get another level 2.
- 55:12Mike McCarthy is always great with bigger bodied receivers in
- 55:15Green Bay and Metcalf, while he's good, I think there's
- 55:17something missing in his game. And I think McCarthy, you get
- 55:19this to another. For me, it's a you brought that
- 55:24speedy too. I think it's a little of the the
- 55:27aspect of what Aaron Rodgers had to do from Cal is sit behind
- 55:32Rodgers and become what he is. Do you think that was kind of
- 55:38the thinking of bringing him in if Rodgers is still going to be
- 55:41around and and still productive? Not saying he's the Aaron
- 55:44Rodgers of what he was. Somewhere in between that though
- 55:48he was, he was decent this year but still left a lot on the
- 55:51table and I think obviously his peak is one of the best ever and
- 55:54I think you'll get somewhere in between that now with not Arthur
- 55:56Smith coaching you. Right, but you're now you're
- 55:59going to get a guy that like, OK, you're going to get him, but
- 56:03he's he's going to be able to teach and and see the way that
- 56:06kind of he did thing and sit behind one of the greatest and
- 56:11now him transferring and transpiring and to be one of the
- 56:15greatest now have that kind of dynamic.
- 56:18Do you think that bringing in McCarthy is is the right move?
- 56:23100%? I don't know if it's the sexiest
- 56:25move. I don't, I don't know.
- 56:27It was the sexiest move of all the coaches that are available
- 56:30right now. It absolutely is.
- 56:32And I'm going to tell you this right now, I as much as every
- 56:34Giant fan likes John Harbaugh, this is the guy that can develop
- 56:39quarterbacks. It's proven.
- 56:41It's proven. It's, it's on a piece of paper.
- 56:44John, John Harbaugh, he didn't I, I the development of
- 56:48quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson had those gifts.
- 56:50They built their they built their offense around Lamar
- 56:53Jackson. It's not like he made Lamar
- 56:56Jackson change his game. They built their offense around
- 56:59him. So I'm not saying John Harbold
- 57:01might not succeed, but I think McCarthy was the guy.
- 57:04So I, I, I love this move. This is a great move for the
- 57:07Pittsburgh Steelers. And they look outside of the
- 57:10box. They always hire defensive
- 57:12minded coaches. Go look at the past.
- 57:14Every one of those guys, defensive minded coaches, they
- 57:17finally brought an offensive minded guy that I is, is, is
- 57:20Tomlin's successor and a guy that has experience.
- 57:22That's a slam dunk. Excited about the culture
- 57:24building? I think the Giants need it.
- 57:26I don't think McCarthy is a culture builder.
- 57:28You're wrong. You're wrong.
- 57:29Well, I saw what happened in Dallas.
- 57:31What are you talking about, Dallas?
- 57:32They had three seasons with 12. Wins.
- 57:34I don't know, but when was the last time, When was the last
- 57:37time the Giants did that? At the end?
- 57:38When was the last time? What happened?
- 57:40What? What do you mean?
- 57:41When I see what happened? It happens to teams.
- 57:43They they get trying. They got that had nothing to do
- 57:46with Mike McCarthy. If you know anything about the
- 57:48Dallas Cowboys, it was the defensive side of the ball.
- 57:51There was stuff going on in the locker room with the defensive
- 57:53side of the ball. You're wrong, fish, you're
- 57:55wrong. Look, no ones ever going to
- 57:57question Mike Mccarthys. Offensive skills.
- 58:00I'm just saying as a head coach, just like Tomlin, what has he
- 58:04done in the past decade besides get eliminated every year?
- 58:08What has Harbolt done in the last decade?
- 58:10I'm just. Saying I'm just saying it's
- 58:12just. As a Steelers got a fan, I don't
- 58:15know how excited I'd be about the hire, but I get I think it's
- 58:18I agree. I think it's he's probably the
- 58:20best guy left for the best job there is.
- 58:21It makes a lot of dude. He's the best coach.
- 58:23He's the best coach right now in.
- 58:25The AFC North, hands down. Hands down, hands down.
- 58:29See how good Jesse Minter? I don't care about Jesse.
- 58:31Minter. He's an unproven guy.
- 58:33He's an unproven commodity. This guy's a proven commodity
- 58:36who won a Super Bowl. And because John Horrible won a
- 58:39Super Bowl with not even his own roster, you'll love it.
- 58:43Oh, I love it. Yeah.
- 58:44You're trying to really do move. I can't wait.
- 58:48Move. On Like Bart Scott once said,
- 58:50let's go to somebody who is an established commodity.
- 58:53Errol. He might end up being the
- 58:55defensive coordinator for the New York Jets.
- 58:57I love it, Mr. Wink Martindale, former.
- 58:59Giants. Giants defensive coordinator.
- 59:03That was so. Excited to draft Deonte Banks a
- 59:07few years ago, if I remember correctly well, and got into a
- 59:11fight I think for a season and a half, but stabbing in the back
- 59:15of Brian Dabel and his guys, winks guys.
- 59:18Then he went to Michigan. They didn't really win there,
- 59:21but the defense was good. Nobody thought it wasn't.
- 59:24Everyone knows Wink is a unique defensive play caller.
- 59:28Man coverage, press up on guys. I don't care if it's like late
- 59:32in the game, I'm not going prevent.
- 59:34I'm still bringing it. Try to beat me.
- 59:36I'm my guys are going to play this defense no matter what.
- 59:40I mean, it seems to fit with the attitude of a guy like Aaron
- 59:45Glenn and it might make a lot of sense.
- 59:48Back in New York for a second time, just this time in the
- 59:50other locker room, I love Wink Martindale I.
- 59:54Love them, I love them with the Giants.
- 59:56It just so happens him and Dabel couldn't get along and it wasn't
- 1:00:00Wink Martindale. If anybody knows the back end of
- 1:00:02the story, it was all Dabel. It couldn't get along with any
- 1:00:04of his coaches. They fired three coaches after
- 1:00:07the second season because he couldn't get along with them
- 1:00:10after that. So.
- 1:00:11Unfortunately, it wasn't Wick Martindale's fault that they
- 1:00:14parted. They parted ways to have them in
- 1:00:16the Giants. But if you look at the Giants
- 1:00:18and the success of the Giants defenses when he was there, they
- 1:00:21were very successful. He's a blitz savvy coordinator,
- 1:00:24likes to call blitz packages. He's one of the probably one of
- 1:00:28the best in the league when it calls, when it comes to that
- 1:00:30package, those kind of packages. And he comes from the Baltimore
- 1:00:33Ravens type of style. If you think about it, you talk
- 1:00:36about McDonald's, you talk about all the great coaches.
- 1:00:38Wick Martindale's a little bit older than McDonald's.
- 1:00:40He'll never be a coach. The NFL, I don't know if anybody
- 1:00:43will hire Wink because of his personality, but if Aaron Glenn
- 1:00:46wants to bring in a guy that gives The Jets that personality
- 1:00:49he's looking for, that's the guy.
- 1:00:52That's the guy. And that's why I think I know a
- 1:00:54lot of people think that The Jets don't have options.
- 1:00:56They got options. Wink Martindale has been there
- 1:00:59two or three times and they love his interviews.
- 1:01:01They're going to hire him. Wink is definitely a slam dunk
- 1:01:04move for The Jets. Yeah, it's a 3 four man blitz
- 1:01:07type defense. And you were talking about
- 1:01:08Deonte Banks earlier. I told you this on the phone or
- 1:01:10on the phone or with Leaf when we were out on Friday.
- 1:01:14Deonte Banks had a pretty good rookie year because of Wink
- 1:01:16Martindale's scheme. He wants to get those corners
- 1:01:18more physical. The Jets obviously they traded
- 1:01:20Sauce Gardner, but do have some bigger corners.
- 1:01:22They're going to draft a corner. They can.
- 1:01:24Yeah. The kid from Clemson, they
- 1:01:25definitely, yeah. That's AJ Terrell's younger
- 1:01:27brother too, which he's a good corner.
- 1:01:28I think a lot of people think that that's where The Jets are
- 1:01:31looking. So there's definitely a lot of
- 1:01:32options that they could go in that way.
- 1:01:34But yeah, I think it's another good thing for Will McDonald to
- 1:01:37He was better as a three, four guy in college.
- 1:01:39He's good at obviously in the NFL so far in four three too,
- 1:01:42but I think he has a better chance in that.
- 1:01:43And then Jermaine Johnson, if they do keep him, then he was
- 1:01:46more of a three, four guy too. I I I think.
- 1:01:51You you guys know this better. Than I do, but do you think
- 1:01:55culture wise and kind of what he's done and being in the
- 1:01:58market before it is is going to help in his dynamic of what he's
- 1:02:02trying to create with here here's here's what I'm going to
- 1:02:04say. Wink Martindale.
- 1:02:06They need a personality in that locker room.
- 1:02:09Aaron Glenn's more of a calm, collective guy and he has this
- 1:02:13persona about him that he just likes to be who he is.
- 1:02:17This guy doesn't give a crap. He goes out there and tells you
- 1:02:19how it is and he's going to tell these guys if you don't play for
- 1:02:23me, you're not going to play on this roster, you're not going to
- 1:02:25play on this team. That's what The Jets need.
- 1:02:26They need a drill Sergeant because they didn't have that
- 1:02:29this past year. He's that kind of drill
- 1:02:31Sergeant. That's why I think in the next
- 1:02:33take, why me and Fish are probably going to go back and
- 1:02:35forth on where The Jets go at this other position, but I I
- 1:02:38think it's a slam dunk move and drop a yes, I think he's a
- 1:02:41culture changer. Absolutely.
- 1:02:43The other players eat it too because they had the quite the
- 1:02:45opposite before that with now Tennessee Titans head coach
- 1:02:47Bambi Sala. Oh, please.
- 1:02:49And I heard that if Dabel doesn't get that Buffalo Bills
- 1:02:52job, he is going to be the offensive coordinator for the
- 1:02:54Tennessee Titans. That's why would that be
- 1:02:55hilarious? That's what I heard.
- 1:02:57Just so you guys know, that's what I heard, Schefner said
- 1:03:01that, well, there's before we move away from The Jets.
- 1:03:03I didn't make it a separate. Graphic for it.
- 1:03:05Yeah, that's fine. I thought, Errol, that the most
- 1:03:07important thing that The Jets were missing this year was that
- 1:03:11captain of the defense, that CJ Mosley position doesn't have to
- 1:03:15be, you know, like a 35 year old veteran playing in the middle
- 1:03:20that calls the defense. It should be a guy that can do
- 1:03:23it. Now I know Anzaloni is a free
- 1:03:25agent from Detroit, one of the best lines.
- 1:03:27He's already a fit to go there. We're hearing that like that's
- 1:03:31like almost like a done. Deal like the first day of free
- 1:03:34agency, as soon as they're allowed to sign.
- 1:03:37If they could do that and bring in a guy like Wink, that would
- 1:03:41start to do that. Attitude changing, in my
- 1:03:44opinion. And the other thing that we keep
- 1:03:46hearing is that Jets are toying, and this is where you kind of
- 1:03:50get worried as a Jets fan toying with changing the role.
- 1:03:55Of. Their offensive coordinator to
- 1:03:58maybe one of those assistant head coach positions.
- 1:04:01I think it's a good move kind of promoting up and out and finding
- 1:04:05a different play caller for Speedy.
- 1:04:08I forget the name, it's a Tanner Eggstrom.
- 1:04:10Eggstrom, Eggstrom. So that that's something that's
- 1:04:14going on. I don't just wanted to run that
- 1:04:16stuff. I don't think that's bad.
- 1:04:18I don't think first of all, Anzalone.
- 1:04:19If they get Anzalone, it's a slam dunk for The Jets.
- 1:04:22He's the best one of the best defensive players available this
- 1:04:25offseason. And if he goes to The Jets, that
- 1:04:28automatically makes the offseason perfect.
- 1:04:31You need that guy. You need that general.
- 1:04:32You need that guy that understands the defense,
- 1:04:34understands how to make reads at the at the point of attack.
- 1:04:37That's the guy. That's the guy The Jets need to
- 1:04:40go after. Go all in on Anseloni and get
- 1:04:42him as far as the offensive coordinator position and moving
- 1:04:45down. This kid, he's never had
- 1:04:47experience at this at a high level.
- 1:04:49And and and Aaron Glenn is on the hot seat right now because
- 1:04:52of The Jets fans as The Jets fans pushed out Sam Donald more
- 1:04:55XS and OS are culture. No, I don't think it's.
- 1:04:58XS and OS I think Aaron Glenn understands.
- 1:05:00That because of The Jets fans and The Jets organization and
- 1:05:03the way The Jets work, he's on the hot seat.
- 1:05:06So he needs to bring in a guy that's been in this position
- 1:05:08before and has been successful making the right play calling.
- 1:05:12And if they're they're probably going to bring in a veteran
- 1:05:14because there's no rookie quarterbacks that's going to go
- 1:05:17where The Jets are sitting at #2 unless The Jets trade down,
- 1:05:20which could happen. So I I honestly believe that
- 1:05:23they're the fact here is is they're going to bring in a
- 1:05:26veteran. They need the right guy in
- 1:05:27position that's going to get him to that next level.
- 1:05:29So I think this is if this is the right move for The Jets, if
- 1:05:32they decide to do this, I'm all in on it.
- 1:05:34I understand what Aaron Glenn's trying to do.
- 1:05:37Yeah, I would say Jabba, there's different.
- 1:05:39Levels of. XS and OS there's like being
- 1:05:42great at it. Like on paper, you know, like
- 1:05:46they they've been naming Davis Webb former Giants traffic.
- 1:05:49There's another guy that's been floated around is like a 30 year
- 1:05:53old guy who might be head coach like McVeigh, just like this
- 1:05:56great on the just knows all the XS and OS.
- 1:05:59But if you remember Davis Webb the player, Davis Webb the
- 1:06:02player couldn't do anything. Yeah, I didn't have the arm
- 1:06:05strength. Even if he knew what he was
- 1:06:07supposed to do, it didn't matter.
- 1:06:09And I think sometimes it's very similar with coaches.
- 1:06:11You get one of these young coaches who may be great in the
- 1:06:14classroom, could tell you everything about the game of
- 1:06:16football, about cover 2 versus Cover 3, how we're going to run
- 1:06:20the play against this defense versus that defense.
- 1:06:22Look at the right side of the field for cover four.
- 1:06:24Look at the left side of the field.
- 1:06:25If it's man, you know what I mean?
- 1:06:26Like he could tell you everything, but when he has to
- 1:06:29call the plays on the field and has to make the adjustments and
- 1:06:33has to do it, it's not the same thing.
- 1:06:35So I feel like there's XS and OS and then there's, you know, the
- 1:06:38guys who can call the plays under pressure and be
- 1:06:41innovative. You know, when I as a kid, I
- 1:06:43always loved Bill Parcells because I knew he was going to
- 1:06:46give you something innovative under pressure at a key moment.
- 1:06:50It would just wow you every time.
- 1:06:52Oh my God, what a play call. And you don't have a lot of
- 1:06:55coaches that do that anymore. I for me, like as a kid
- 1:06:58ourselves, a lot of a lot of like the X's.
- 1:07:00And O's and being that. But can you as a coach sometimes
- 1:07:05get out of your own way knowing what X's and O's are, but then
- 1:07:09have a feel for what the game is going on?
- 1:07:11I want to say something and everybody and fish.
- 1:07:13I never. Really got a chance to tell you
- 1:07:15I think might get this job and, and I The Jets have been going
- 1:07:19after him for years and he doesn't look like he's getting a
- 1:07:22head coaching job. That's Cliff Kingsbury.
- 1:07:24That's the guy that I think The Jets are gunning for.
- 1:07:28And I've heard through the Grapevine when you told me today
- 1:07:31I was investigating it. That's the guy I think The Jets
- 1:07:35are going to ask to sit down and then have a conversation with
- 1:07:39Aaron Glenn and his coaching staff.
- 1:07:40So that is a slam dunk. If they get Cliff Kingsbury in
- 1:07:44in that locker room to work with Wink Martindale and Aaron Glenn,
- 1:07:48I think that is that's that's the coaching staff that you
- 1:07:50want. I think Jabba is just with
- 1:07:52experience. Sometimes you're too cute.
- 1:07:54You know, and I think a guy like Kingsbury in his first run, you
- 1:07:57know, with Arizona may have been a little too cute with some of
- 1:08:00the stuff he did. You know, when they had chances,
- 1:08:03I think they kind of choked a few games away.
- 1:08:05And I think sometimes you make like, I remember as a kid, like
- 1:08:07my as a, the first big dumb mistake I made as a football
- 1:08:11coach was I called a like a like a double reverse on the goal
- 1:08:15line because I was like, oh, it's going to work.
- 1:08:17It worked every time in practice, but I should just ran
- 1:08:20the stupid freaking ball in, you know, running power.
- 1:08:23And of course they fumble it and they take it the other way
- 1:08:26literally for a touchdown right before the half.
- 1:08:28And I feel like the dumbest idiot of all time.
- 1:08:31But it's an easy way to learn a lesson.
- 1:08:32By the way, you know what I mean?
- 1:08:33By the way, I want to tell everybody the.
- 1:08:35Islanders got another shutout. Sarokin got another shutout.
- 1:08:38This guy is hot. And by the way, Tony D'Angelo is
- 1:08:42hot as he's been one of the best defenseman in the NHL in the
- 1:08:46last past month and 1/2. What does that smell, Ranger
- 1:08:48fans? Smells like crap.
- 1:08:51Everything smells. Terrible for.
- 1:08:53Ranger fans right now. Like everything I'm wearing my
- 1:08:56my. Adam Fox.
- 1:08:57Jersey just because I don't know if I can wear it anymore in a in
- 1:09:01a week or two it might. He might be gone.
- 1:09:03I hope he's not. But he has.
- 1:09:06Value if we're retooling, you know.
- 1:09:08Anyway, retool digress. FYI, Tyler Harrison was the.
- 1:09:12Tony D'Angelo, lover of the Rangers.
- 1:09:13Oh, I know Josh, and I hated him.
- 1:09:15I, I don't know why he's been, he's been sensational.
- 1:09:17I've heard so many great things he's doing right now in that
- 1:09:20locker room and helping Shaffer really grow as a young player.
- 1:09:23I, I love it. I love the story behind the
- 1:09:25whole D'Angelo. Everybody in the NHL doesn't
- 1:09:27like him, just like the kid from Washington.
- 1:09:30They don't like D'Angelo because he starts a lot of problems.
- 1:09:32But he has been a great leader for this, this really young,
- 1:09:37young Islander team that's really transforming right in
- 1:09:39front of our eyes. So it's a great story.
- 1:09:41All right, let's get to the Giants.
- 1:09:44Oh God. Who did hire Denard?
- 1:09:46Wilson as. Their new defensive coordinator,
- 1:09:49Denard Wilson, responsible for that.
- 1:09:52Not this past season. The Titans were absolutely
- 1:09:54terrible. They were absolutely terrible
- 1:09:55the year before, but they had the second ranked defense.
- 1:09:57You know, all of football you might remember, still pretty
- 1:10:00decent this year just gave up a lot of points because that
- 1:10:02offense put them in a lot of bad spots.
- 1:10:05I would argue still very strong defense.
- 1:10:08Again, this is now the second straight Tennessee Titans
- 1:10:11defensive coordinator we're bringing over here after Shane
- 1:10:14Bowen to do this. But I, I think Denard Wilson, he
- 1:10:18had some experience with Harbaugh back with the Ravens,
- 1:10:22if he's thought of as one of the better secondary guys and if
- 1:10:25there's anything the Giants suck at and need someone who's good
- 1:10:28at, it's the secondary. So I'm very hopeful.
- 1:10:31And they also were able to grab Harbaugh's long time special
- 1:10:35teams coordinator, Horton from the Ravens, although the Ravens
- 1:10:40originally said they weren't going to let him interview with
- 1:10:42Harbaugh. I think as soon as they hired
- 1:10:44Mentor, Mentor said I have my own guy and they let Horton go.
- 1:10:48Well, I'll say this, I don't know.
- 1:10:50Much about Wilson, I, I do know him as a player.
- 1:10:52I I remember I remember when he was defensive coordinator over
- 1:10:55there with the the Tennessee Titans.
- 1:10:58They're they better hope this this works because John Harbaugh
- 1:11:03ever since McDonald left that organization with the Ravens did
- 1:11:06his defenses were were not good. And you usually bring in the
- 1:11:10guys that have been successful working under you over the
- 1:11:12years, guys that understand how you like to run your your
- 1:11:16defense. I don't know if this is a slam
- 1:11:18dunk for the the Giants, but hey, the Giants are going to go
- 1:11:21and do what horrible wants. And this is who he wants to
- 1:11:24bring in and his coaching staff. So you got to ride or die with
- 1:11:27it. I just, I, I don't know if I
- 1:11:29would have went this route. There are other guys he could
- 1:11:30have brought in. That's just my opinion.
- 1:11:32Yeah, I'm more encouraged with the special teams higher because
- 1:11:34the Ravens have always had good kickers outside of that one year
- 1:11:37of Billy Cundiff where he was just awful.
- 1:11:39They had Stover, they had obviously Justin Tucker and they
- 1:11:41always had good kick returners too.
- 1:11:42But the defense, yeah, it's tough to tell if that were.
- 1:11:44I remember Wilson as a player. I think with the Rams, it was
- 1:11:46all right, Jeff Fisher defense, Yeah, he was one of those like
- 1:11:48platoon linebackers. So again, maybe they get some
- 1:11:51influence from Fisher, some influence from Hobart where he's
- 1:11:53been around good coaches. Don't you think this is a little
- 1:11:55reach? It's AI think it's a it's a for
- 1:11:57this early in the process. Yeah.
- 1:11:59I would have been more patient. Yeah.
- 1:12:00I think this is a reach for the what do do you think Harbaugh
- 1:12:04had any any say? In that, of course, of course
- 1:12:06it's his guy, but that's why I'm saying his guy.
- 1:12:09Of course, with the pass rush talent that the Giants should
- 1:12:11have on paper, like you would think there would be better
- 1:12:14coordinators that you could have waited on for this job, even if
- 1:12:16it meant paying a little more. I think this is like it's the
- 1:12:19first time DC has been with the team, with Rabel, that with
- 1:12:22Bowen that already just failed. I wouldn't have went this route.
- 1:12:25I I would have waited a little bit longer.
- 1:12:26There were other guys that are definitely a better fit.
- 1:12:29Again, the Giants went that route.
- 1:12:31I hope it works out for them. I'm not.
- 1:12:32I don't hate the Giants as much as everybody thinks.
- 1:12:35I just hate Giant fans. That's all I'm going to say.
- 1:12:37But I you know how it works though.
- 1:12:39Errol like these coaches, they. Hire guys that they used to work
- 1:12:43with. I got it.
- 1:12:44I understand that's he worked with them.
- 1:12:46He was his D BS coach I got in 2023.
- 1:12:48He'd been with him a couple other times.
- 1:12:50He probably members him as a player because Harbaugh been
- 1:12:52around forever. Anyway, the Giants, it can't be
- 1:12:56worse, right? I mean, it can't.
- 1:12:58It can't be worse than it's been.
- 1:13:00I don't know. At least we'll see you.
- 1:13:02You would know better than all. Of US fish, so can it.
- 1:13:04Can it be worse or is it better? They they they can be worse.
- 1:13:08They can trade Dexter, Lawrence and.
- 1:13:09Then have the worst run defense in NFL history, possibly.
- 1:13:12And now, But here's another thing, they don't even know what
- 1:13:14they're doing with Dexter Lawrence.
- 1:13:15And if I was Dexter Lawrence, I would be asking for a trade
- 1:13:17because of the way the Giants have really exposed him over the
- 1:13:20last couple of weeks. Oh, we don't know if we could
- 1:13:23afford them. Oh, we might trade him.
- 1:13:25Oh, we might get this. Just, you know what Shane does,
- 1:13:28Joe Shane's a. Moron and they should have fired
- 1:13:30his. Ass we don't know what Joe Shane
- 1:13:32does fish. He's an idiot.
- 1:13:34I I am not this Lulu in that statement.
- 1:13:37All right, let's get into. Real quick one, I wanted to get
- 1:13:41him. He dropped out of the race,
- 1:13:44which obviously he wasn't going to get this job.
- 1:13:46But the Bills interviewed Philip Rivers.
- 1:13:49Love it for their head coach opening.
- 1:13:51I thought that was. Something we should bring up, I
- 1:13:53think, you know, there were other names that were put out
- 1:13:56there. Obviously, Philip Rivers coming
- 1:13:57out of retirement to play the three games with Indianapolis
- 1:13:59this year really impressed everyone with just the ability
- 1:14:02to still just, I don't know how you'd be able to do.
- 1:14:06It physically, obviously he wasn't the same.
- 1:14:08Guy physically at 44 as he was when he was younger, but
- 1:14:11understands the game at such a high level was still able to
- 1:14:14facilitate the ball. They didn't win any of those
- 1:14:16games, but he wasn't the reason why they lost in any of those
- 1:14:20contests. Guys, Josh Allen to me.
- 1:14:23Is one of the best, if not the best quarterback in the NFL and
- 1:14:27to get a chance to just interview and see if you can
- 1:14:30persuade the Buffalo Bills to hire you to coach that guy, He's
- 1:14:33going to make everybody around him look better.
- 1:14:36I don't care what anybody says. I put a story out over the
- 1:14:39weekend. Well, not over the weekend, over
- 1:14:41the week. Last week, I think it was Friday
- 1:14:42or Thursday about Josh Allen, how special he is and the type
- 1:14:46of person that he is. He puts everything on his
- 1:14:48shoulders and the fact that Phillip Phillip Rivers was the
- 1:14:51kind of kind of the same player. He didn't cry and he didn't show
- 1:14:54emotion, but he showed emotion on the field.
- 1:14:56He had heart. He he would yell at the
- 1:14:58referees, he would yell at the players.
- 1:15:00He would give you everything. He would show you that he really
- 1:15:03wanted to win. That's Josh Allen and I think
- 1:15:06that's to me what you you look for your next head coach.
- 1:15:09I don't know if tables the right answer, but obviously Josh
- 1:15:11trusts him. But the the fact that you hear
- 1:15:14Phillip Rivers is interested in that job and only that job he
- 1:15:17could interviewed on any other job he wanted to interview for
- 1:15:20the Buffalo Bills only tells you why he believes that this team
- 1:15:24might be the best fit for him. I love it.
- 1:15:27Good for Phil. And I think Phil will eventually
- 1:15:29be, I believe he will be a coach in the NFL, one at one point of
- 1:15:33his career. He just needs to learn as an
- 1:15:35offensive, offensive coordinator what the position entails.
- 1:15:40It's not the same as the quarterback position, but I
- 1:15:42think he'll be an unbelievable coach in this league if he gets
- 1:15:45an opportunity to do that. Yeah, I could definitely see a
- 1:15:47good QB coach to start and then a head coach maybe five years
- 1:15:50from now, something like that. Because he already coaches his
- 1:15:51son's team and there's a big reason he came back.
- 1:15:54He's connected with a lot of these younger coaches too.
- 1:15:55Just again, I don't know how much familiarity has with the
- 1:15:57Bills coaching stay in Indianapolis.
- 1:15:59Yeah, I thought that, yeah, maybe just judge develop Riley
- 1:16:02Leonard. And if Riley Leonard doesn't
- 1:16:04work out, if they draft another quarterback in two years, then
- 1:16:05you dread developed him. Don't hurt our guy.
- 1:16:07Hurting our guy. Don't hurt our.
- 1:16:09I said if come on. I said if I'm Rudy, I'm on the
- 1:16:13show yet. I know, I know.
- 1:16:15I'm going to reach out to. Him, I'm going to reach out to
- 1:16:17him in the next week or two, but which with the Bills, I think I
- 1:16:21agree with you. I'm be skeptical if they're
- 1:16:23bringing just bringing Dabel. If you just want to get
- 1:16:24familiarity, just promote Joe Brady and just make him the
- 1:16:26coach at this point. The guy I liked I mentioned last
- 1:16:28week is Brian Flores. I think they need some defensive
- 1:16:30play. Brady's taking the Vegas job.
- 1:16:32Yeah, seems that way. That's what I'm hearing.
- 1:16:34He's taking the Vegas job. That means you're either going
- 1:16:36to have to take it Be beware. I think by Thursday you're going
- 1:16:39to hear that the the Raiders have hired Joe Brady.
- 1:16:41I it, why would he go coach a guy in Josh Allen who's already
- 1:16:46been developed and go over there and have a chance to coach
- 1:16:48Mendoza? I mean, I go that route.
- 1:16:51I know the Vegas Raiders are not a smart organization, but you
- 1:16:54get you get the quarterback of of this year's great season and
- 1:16:58a guy that you're really going to like.
- 1:17:00And, and as you heard Collier say that it's, it's going to be
- 1:17:03fun to get a chance to get to know him in person.
- 1:17:04So that's that's why I think the Bills need an experience guy.
- 1:17:07Josh Allen, I think is just scheming quarterback proof at
- 1:17:09this point. He's going to do his thing and
- 1:17:10still play great. That's why I think Flores would
- 1:17:12be a good fit over there. But again, I don't know if he'll
- 1:17:14get that job, but Brian Davis, we'll see Ryan Dabel will look
- 1:17:17good no matter what because he has Josh Allen no Saturday.
- 1:17:20He'll make everybody look good. He's that good.
- 1:17:24Well, and I I think too, it's like even the.
- 1:17:27Entertaining the fact of like having that is like what Phillip
- 1:17:31Rivers understands. Like, yeah, you brought up
- 1:17:34obviously coach with Sun team, whatever, but that's high
- 1:17:37school. Like it, it's a little different
- 1:17:39now if you if you can get in, But I I think you guys are 100%
- 1:17:43or like he needs to either be a quarterback coach or whatever
- 1:17:47and shoot, he's 43. It's like you can still be a
- 1:17:50head coach by the time you're 50 with the pedigree that he has.
- 1:17:54And there's a lot to be said about that there.
- 1:17:57I mean, obviously the Harbaugh family, we look at what they've
- 1:18:00done and that their lineage is in football.
- 1:18:03That's what they've done. They both played and obviously
- 1:18:06being coaches as as their father and all the other stuff.
- 1:18:09So I think there there's something to be said and I think
- 1:18:13more so than anything, it was kind of getting his just feet
- 1:18:18wet a little bit to see kind of what the Prophet did and what he
- 1:18:21has to go through to get to that point.
- 1:18:24I don't necessarily know if it was really the logistics of it
- 1:18:28more so than him just understanding, OK, this is this
- 1:18:31is a part of it. This is kind of what I got to go
- 1:18:34through and and see what works and what fits.
- 1:18:38I think he's going to be a great coach at some point, but I think
- 1:18:41you guys are 100% right where he's got to go feel what these
- 1:18:46certain aspects of the game. Because when you're the
- 1:18:49quarterback, you lead the team, but now you lead from a
- 1:18:53different level and he's obviously LED from a different
- 1:18:56level because he's got 10 kids. So he's LED from that that
- 1:19:01perspective, so he gets it, but I think this was more so just to
- 1:19:05get his feet wet and have it something that that makes us
- 1:19:10excited about where fish is not a panty dropper in a.
- 1:19:14Direction and. He has never done so.
- 1:19:18He he wanted to just be OK. Let me just put my name in the
- 1:19:23coffers and see what happens. And, and now when I get to the
- 1:19:27real point, I understand what it is because I know I can leave.
- 1:19:32I've done it on the field. I've done off the field.
- 1:19:35Now let me let me run this shit. Take every interview, guys.
- 1:19:40That's what I always tell like you.
- 1:19:41Know they just take the interview, get the experience.
- 1:19:43You never know, might impress somebody, you might meet
- 1:19:46somebody. It's important even if you don't
- 1:19:49get the job. Now last one.
- 1:19:51Speaking of getting the job, this story fascinates me to no
- 1:19:55end. Now the Cleveland Browns very
- 1:19:58often not considered to be one of the destinations anybody
- 1:20:03really wants to coach at. They just fired Kevin Stefanski.
- 1:20:06He was two time coach of the year.
- 1:20:08There weren't able to get over the hump.
- 1:20:10Obviously the Shawn Watson contract, I don't know.
- 1:20:14You wouldn't. I don't think you would.
- 1:20:15Think they would have high moral?
- 1:20:16Standards. But apparently the Browns have a
- 1:20:20very sophisticated and very rigorous hot set of hiring
- 1:20:25practices. I'm going to read this to you.
- 1:20:26This is from Tom Pellicero on the Rich Eisen show.
- 1:20:30The Brown search process and interview process they have run
- 1:20:33a number of times is unlike any other in the NFL, and it plays
- 1:20:37to certain types of candidates. They are a data-driven operation
- 1:20:40in Cleveland, so they spend an extraordinary amount of time
- 1:20:43gathering data on their coaching candidates.
- 1:20:46You're talking about taking a personality test, you're talking
- 1:20:50about writing an essay, you're talking about completing
- 1:20:53homework assignments going into both the 1st and 2nd rounds of
- 1:20:57interviews. It plays towards the types of
- 1:20:59candidates they have in the mix, which is very, very smart
- 1:21:02people. In a lot of cases that just
- 1:21:04happen to be tall, thin guys that came from Ivy League
- 1:21:08schools, though that is certainly not a requirement.
- 1:21:11That's the type of candidate generally that is going to fit
- 1:21:14in a data-driven environment. Chris, are you saying that the
- 1:21:17Browns are holding out for Kyle? You check when he.
- 1:21:19Retires to become their next Hi coach Ryan's fit Ryan
- 1:21:21Fitzpatrick There you go. Ryan Fitz Fitzy.
- 1:21:25I don't. It's just kind of hard to.
- 1:21:27Fathom that the Browns just keep shooting themselves right in the
- 1:21:32foot. All right, there's I'm not going
- 1:21:35to get too. Long into this this Browns
- 1:21:37thing, because the Browns, I mean their colors are what I
- 1:21:40expect this organization to be. Doo Doo as as Niffit says, Doo
- 1:21:44Doo as we all know. That's why Shador Sanders is
- 1:21:47there. That's why Watson is there.
- 1:21:49Mr. Hand Job himself. I mean, this is an organization
- 1:21:51that doesn't know what they're doing.
- 1:21:53So I'm a Jet fan, so I know all about organizations that are up
- 1:21:56and down with obviously thoughts and dreams and admirations.
- 1:22:00Here's the facts. This is an organization that is
- 1:22:03going to sit back and they're going to make up these these
- 1:22:07different unique ways of hiring because they think that they're
- 1:22:11spinning the wheel and making the deal and changing the grid.
- 1:22:14There's nothing about this that makes any sense.
- 1:22:17And here's another thing. If I was any coach right now
- 1:22:20looking for a job, I wouldn't take that job.
- 1:22:23I have no quarterback. I have a great defensive lineman
- 1:22:26that has maybe 2-2 years left at the top level and and everything
- 1:22:31about that offensive side of the ball is horrible.
- 1:22:33They got no running game, they have no wide receivers, they got
- 1:22:36nothing. So to honest, honest to God,
- 1:22:38whoever takes that job, whoever gets that job is up as you call
- 1:22:43Doo Doo Creek. So why would I even want to
- 1:22:47interview, take a test, write an essay or even get into the
- 1:22:51conversations on taking this what you call Brown's job?
- 1:22:56Doo Doo. Yeah, Doo, Doo, Doo, Doo, Doo.
- 1:23:00I don't know how long this job process has gone, like going
- 1:23:03back further. But if you look at Romeo
- 1:23:05Cornell, Rob Chaczynski, Mike Patton, like, look at all these
- 1:23:08coaches. Like, you forget about that Mike
- 1:23:10Patton. They had Patch.
- 1:23:11What a wonderful guy. Yeah.
- 1:23:13Like, Stefanski was the one good one they had.
- 1:23:15He was the one who ratted on Rex Ryan and why Rex Ryan had, you
- 1:23:19know, the whole parting ways with the New York Jets.
- 1:23:22His defensive coordinator was the one that ratted on him.
- 1:23:24Yeah. So that's ridiculous, mysterious
- 1:23:27list of recent head coaching history.
- 1:23:28I don't even know who it was before that.
- 1:23:30But like, Stefanski was the best one you had, and then you get
- 1:23:33rid of him and now you're going to go for all these standards of
- 1:23:36these coaches. Yeah.
- 1:23:37When you have no moral standards of of bringing in Deshaun Watson
- 1:23:39with all the crap that he did off the field of giving him the
- 1:23:41highest paid contract in NFL history.
- 1:23:43And fish, the analytic stuff that you're talking about, guess
- 1:23:45what they brought in in 2019? Guys from the Mets, They clearly
- 1:23:47don't know what they're doing. And I want to say something,
- 1:23:49Stefanski. Stefanski was happy to get the
- 1:23:52hell out of there. Are you kidding me?
- 1:23:54He gets to go to the Atlanta. He's got a young quarterback in
- 1:23:58Michael Pennix. He's got offensive weapons.
- 1:24:00He's actually got an offensive line and good defensive.
- 1:24:03I mean the guy is set. He can win a Super Bowl next
- 1:24:05year. He honestly could so and they're
- 1:24:08winning that division next year. Good luck to the Buccaneers.
- 1:24:11They're winning that division next year.
- 1:24:12They've got tons of money and they got tons of draft stock.
- 1:24:15Not this year in the first round, but everything after this
- 1:24:18year, they're going to have tons and tons of draft stock.
- 1:24:21I I'm, I'm absolutely we staying.
- 1:24:24I'm so happy for Stefanski. He's going to be an accomplished
- 1:24:27coach and maybe a Super Bowl champion one way or another.
- 1:24:30Not with that Browns crap. What a stupid, ridiculous.
- 1:24:33We've always talked about it and it's like, what?
- 1:24:36What are the Browns doing? Like we never have an answer for
- 1:24:40what the hell they're trying to do.
- 1:24:42And this just like what rhyme or reason?
- 1:24:46Like we're obviously not in the front office, we don't know.
- 1:24:49But none of it makes sense, like none of anything that they do
- 1:24:54makes sense. And they've obviously been a
- 1:24:57garbage can for a while. Boy, that's being nice.
- 1:25:00That's being I mean, I sometimes you can just out.
- 1:25:04Think yourself. It's like, there's no way is
- 1:25:07that what you call this out thinking yourself well.
- 1:25:10I look Errol I've I've. Taken things like that for jobs
- 1:25:15in my life but if in no point in time we're one of those for
- 1:25:20football coach dude that's not a thing you do to hire a football.
- 1:25:24This is a one in a million job and and the.
- 1:25:27First thing you're going to do is you're going to ask these
- 1:25:29guys that are working for organizations and worked hard to
- 1:25:32get where they are to write essays.
- 1:25:34I tell you to go F yourself. I am not doing that.
- 1:25:37I'm not in college. I'm not I'm not trying to, you
- 1:25:40know, trying to write an essay and trying to explain myself and
- 1:25:42what I'm trying to do. How about you just interviewing
- 1:25:44me? And if you, me, you like me, you
- 1:25:46don't tell me to get the hell out.
- 1:25:48Tell me to hit the road, Jack, and don't you come back.
- 1:25:50I don't want to write an essay. I have no interest in writing a
- 1:25:53paper for you to understand who I am and what I want to do.
- 1:25:57You're an idiot. And I'll tell you ownership over
- 1:25:59there needs to go and sink his head in the water or go to a
- 1:26:02friggin massage parlor with friggin Watson, because I don't
- 1:26:06want to hear any more about this essays and what they need to do
- 1:26:09to get there. It's, it's, it's pathetic.
- 1:26:11I, I, you know, it would be funny.
- 1:26:13Nobody takes this job and they're going into the season
- 1:26:15with no coach. That's what's going to happen
- 1:26:17because I, I'm definitely not taking this job.
- 1:26:20If I was Miles Garrett today, I tell him, get get me the hell
- 1:26:23out of here. I don't want to be here.
- 1:26:23Which means they'll eventually hire Deion Sanders.
- 1:26:26That's that's where it's probably looking.
- 1:26:31It makes a lot of. Sense, by the way.
- 1:26:33Well. If that happens, we will report
- 1:26:35it on. Boy, we will ever start playing
- 1:26:38the O1. 17 parade. Oh my God, please.
- 1:26:41I'm just lost here. Shut the music, Speedy, I, you
- 1:26:46told me this story before the show and I was like, what?
- 1:26:50And I was looking at this story and if I was any coach, any
- 1:26:55coach at any position or any, any, you know, from college to
- 1:27:00high school, and I want to interview for that job.
- 1:27:02I wouldn't even waste my time having a conversation with
- 1:27:04ownership statistics and, you know, and understanding what I
- 1:27:08need to do to get you to think that I'm the perfect fit for
- 1:27:11your organization. It's ridiculous.
- 1:27:13It's dumb, it's stupid and it shows you how dumb.
- 1:27:16I'm a Jet fan and I I know a lot of dumb things that Jets have
- 1:27:19done. This might be the dumbest, OK,
- 1:27:22the dumbest story I've ever heard.
- 1:27:24So I could see see why you put it in the whip around here
- 1:27:27anyways. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:27:29we call this all righty, then all righty, then.
- 1:27:34All righty all. Righty.
- 1:27:39All righty. Then all right ladies, and.
- 1:27:40Gentlemen, I don't know if you know how to play this well.
- 1:27:44This segment is very interesting and I'll let Fish explain it.
- 1:27:48All righty then, Errol. We will talk about this segment.
- 1:27:52All right then, very simple. Errol is really becoming a
- 1:27:56pretty proficient writer. I've been working on using
- 1:27:59sports articles. That you can go see on.
- 1:28:01Worldwide new one coming out to dot com yes our website with
- 1:28:04also. A lot of our clips that.
- 1:28:06You can find from our show that are from YouTube.
- 1:28:09Please go and subscribe and check out all of our stuff and
- 1:28:13especially these articles. These are what we're going to do
- 1:28:15is read a portion of Arrow's article, this time on the Mets
- 1:28:20and their general manager, Mr. Stern.
- 1:28:23How many downloads? I mean how many reads speedy?
- 1:28:26That was in needy, you have the data that was in the 7000 range
- 1:28:29for this one. OK, all right.
- 1:28:30So in the 7000 range and there are quite a number.
- 1:28:33Of people on Reddit who comments, Speedy's going to put
- 1:28:35up a bunch of those comments after I read this excerpt.
- 1:28:40Here we go for all righty then. Here's the name here and I share
- 1:28:45the screen for you. This is the one we want up, not
- 1:28:48that one. There we go.
- 1:28:50The Mets spent the farm for a one year race, a downward trend
- 1:28:54outfielder, and said bye to Nimmo.
- 1:28:57Welcome to 2026. There's our buddy Stearns.
- 1:29:01Let's breakdown the latest David Stearns master class in Mets
- 1:29:05roster construction, also known as the Hold My Wallet tour.
- 1:29:09The Mets just traded 2 top prospects, Brandon Sproat and
- 1:29:13Jet Williams for Freddy Peralta and Tobias Myers.
- 1:29:15Peralta is a two time All Star coming off a huge 2025.
- 1:29:19But here's the real buzzkill. He's a rental pitcher.
- 1:29:21He has free agency after this season.
- 1:29:23Yep, one year the cost Highly rated prospects who could have
- 1:29:27been long term difference makers.
- 1:29:29Myers is a fine arm, but basically the side of ranch
- 1:29:32dressing with this trade. So what does that mean for
- 1:29:35Terek? School rumors.
- 1:29:36Before this blockbuster, some fans were fantasizing about a
- 1:29:39school for the ages scenario. A young you could sign long
- 1:29:43term, but after giving up real future value for a one year
- 1:29:46rental, all that fantasy money has turned into Peraltas bar tab
- 1:29:52scrolling down a little bit. Don't.
- 1:29:54Here's going into the Luis Robert trade for minor leaguers
- 1:29:57Luis Angel Acuna and Truman Pauli.
- 1:30:00Don't get it twisted, Robert Junior's a freak athlete.
- 1:30:03But here's the hilarious bit. His best season was 2023.
- 1:30:06Over the last two seasons, his production dipped.
- 1:30:09He's 28 and owed $20 million with a club option for 2027.
- 1:30:14Yeah, you heard that right. The Mets traded for someone
- 1:30:16whose absolute peak was two years ago.
- 1:30:19Why the clocks back David? This party showed up after the
- 1:30:23cake was cut and then moving on to Nimmo wasn't a perfect but
- 1:30:27what wasn't perfect. But he was a career Met, a
- 1:30:30leader in OBP and consistent offensive producer and adored by
- 1:30:34fans. Marcus Simeon, who they traded
- 1:30:36for him. A veteran with a big love and
- 1:30:38passed All Star seasons, but 35 older and coming off a quieter
- 1:30:422025 S In men's world, you trade a beloved current contributor
- 1:30:47for an aging defender, then trade away future pieces for a
- 1:30:50one year rental ace and call it championship mode.
- 1:30:53Let that sink in while you check Peralta's contract speedy.
- 1:30:59All right, so we'll start. We'll start.
- 1:31:01With this one from. Mysterious Draw 2510.
- 1:31:05So they said no he did. He disagrees with that sprout.
- 1:31:07They believe in the other young arms in the farm system and the
- 1:31:10and the coming up in the minors and Williams because he hasn't
- 1:31:12transitioned to outfield well and his block in the infield.
- 1:31:14He also I couldn't extend it all in this to a 200 character
- 1:31:17comment. He also mentioned the Steve
- 1:31:18Gelbs interview. They were the Mets organization
- 1:31:20was OK giving up with sprout and they also gave up took a chance
- 1:31:24for Robert at a small price. Mysterious thank you for giving
- 1:31:26us your opinion. Here's here's why I think your
- 1:31:29opinion is a little up and down. I look at Sprout.
- 1:31:32He's a guy that a lot of people think could be an ace and you
- 1:31:35decided to move it away for for a guy like Peralta.
- 1:31:39Now, I'm not saying Peralta is not going to be good.
- 1:31:41And I think if the Milwaukee Brewers are asking for Sprout,
- 1:31:45obviously they know something that we don't.
- 1:31:47Every time the Milwaukee Brewers make a trade and they trade one
- 1:31:49of their better players, they get more out of the guys that
- 1:31:53they traded for. I think this is an absolute slam
- 1:31:56dunk getting Williams and Sprout, two guys that were in a
- 1:31:59top 10 for the New York Mets. Sprout, who's in the top five,
- 1:32:02he's better. A lot of people think that that
- 1:32:04he was going to get cold up this year that he he was going to be
- 1:32:06better, maybe a better pitcher than Tong.
- 1:32:09We haven't even seen this kid in the Major League level yet.
- 1:32:11But what he's done in the minor league is it's been absolutely
- 1:32:14sensational. I think this is a slam dunk move
- 1:32:17from Milwaukee and I think the Mets are going to because I
- 1:32:19don't even know if they're going to be able to reside Peralta.
- 1:32:22And if they don't before the the next season, they're going to go
- 1:32:26on strike and the Mets might not get Peralta when when they when
- 1:32:29the strike is over. I think this might be a bad move
- 1:32:32for the New York Mets and losing 2 top prospects.
- 1:32:34You brought up a great point when the Brewers do something.
- 1:32:38We've seen what they've done, getting rid of a Corbin Burns
- 1:32:41and guys that they've got on the back end that have turned into
- 1:32:45something and I think they they have a rhyme or reason.
- 1:32:49Sometimes we look at these teams and we're like, what the heck
- 1:32:52are they doing? But the Brewers we've seen and
- 1:32:55it's been a track record of what they've done and what they've
- 1:32:58received on the back end because like you just said, we haven't
- 1:33:03seen him at the big league level.
- 1:33:04We don't know. But now it's like, OK, you had a
- 1:33:08young guy that you've seen a little bit in McClain and what
- 1:33:11he's done, but you had that guy and now you're giving up pieces.
- 1:33:16And the Brewers are like, OK, well, if we can get that piece
- 1:33:18of the puzzle because we know what he's going to be.
- 1:33:22But the. Brewers have have.
- 1:33:23Shown that why they've gotten rid of some guys and made
- 1:33:27acquisitions to where they've seen what could happen and what
- 1:33:33they've built. Why are they there all the time?
- 1:33:35Why is their farm system always there?
- 1:33:37Like, it's because they understand.
- 1:33:39It's like, yeah, I may have to get rid of this for a minute,
- 1:33:43but I got something on the back end where now I have control of
- 1:33:46him for six years. Jabba, we can see where we go.
- 1:33:49Jabba the Brewers. Are the rays.
- 1:33:51Of the National League, yeah. No, I I don't disagree.
- 1:33:55Everything you said was spot on. And it's you.
- 1:33:59You look at it and it's where where are the Mets missing that
- 1:34:04part? And it's like, hey, yeah, yeah,
- 1:34:06it is a rental. And like you said, are we going
- 1:34:08to be able to even sign him if we have a 2027 season?
- 1:34:12Yep. All right, we'll move on to this
- 1:34:14one. Or are we going to get him big
- 1:34:15league? Ready and now.
- 1:34:17We see what we can get, move on to this one.
- 1:34:21Kind of. Kind of a similar theme, current
- 1:34:25Barbara 360 kind of mentioned the same kind of things, Two
- 1:34:27guys that won't have impact because Jets blocked
- 1:34:28positionally, but Spro consider the 4th best pitching prospect
- 1:34:31in the organization. Mentioned McClain Tong and
- 1:34:33Christian Scott, who's currently hurt but pitch well in 2024.
- 1:34:37And then they ultimately they have two important chips, but
- 1:34:40guys are not expecting the impact of the team both in 2026
- 1:34:42and also 2027. Current Barbara, thank you for
- 1:34:46writing to us and we really appreciate it.
- 1:34:48First of all, how do you know? How do you know Sprout won't be
- 1:34:50called up? How do you know Sprout won't be
- 1:34:52a great pitcher? Just because he's the fourth guy
- 1:34:55on the list doesn't mean he's not the best guy.
- 1:34:57How do you know what? That's the problem with Met
- 1:34:59fans. They want to predict what they
- 1:35:01think that they know. They don't know this guy was a
- 1:35:04highly regarded young pitcher in the Mets farm system, one of the
- 1:35:08best in their farm system. And because, oh, they got Tong,
- 1:35:11they got McClain, they got this guy.
- 1:35:12He can't be better than him. How do you know?
- 1:35:15You haven't seen a pitch in the American League, You haven't
- 1:35:17seen a pitch the National League.
- 1:35:19You haven't seen a pitch in the major leagues, so how would you
- 1:35:21know? This guy is a great minor league
- 1:35:24player and he's not going to be called up this year.
- 1:35:26How do you know? How do you know?
- 1:35:28So that's it makes me so angry when I hear Matt fans say, well,
- 1:35:33you know, he's probably not going to be called up this year
- 1:35:35and Williams might not be called up here.
- 1:35:37How do you know? How do you know?
- 1:35:39Are you AGM? How do you know?
- 1:35:40How do you know? Shake hands.
- 1:35:43I don't want to shake your hands, but thank you.
- 1:35:45Thank you, current Barber. We love you.
- 1:35:48I had to do that. Go ahead, John.
- 1:35:50Next one, Speedy. All right, so we'll go to this
- 1:35:52one. Night time number.
- 1:35:54One, you got an ace starting pitcher that led the National
- 1:35:56League and wins in a fantastic defensive outfielder with
- 1:35:58offensive upside. Both these trades adjusted
- 1:36:01issues though were the two biggest needs on the team was
- 1:36:03the extended comment and we needed an ace starting pitcher
- 1:36:06and outfielder at all costs. All right, night time, thank you
- 1:36:09for giving us your opinion, but your opinion is not warranted.
- 1:36:13Here's the reason why I don't care again, going back to your
- 1:36:17pitcher and, and, and what you're what you're looking for.
- 1:36:20If you're not, this guy has one more year left on his contract
- 1:36:23and he is a free agent. And if he wants to sit and say,
- 1:36:26you know what, I'm going to wait till next season or if there is
- 1:36:30a season to get my big money because I can get more money in
- 1:36:34the offseason, then sit here and take the money that you're going
- 1:36:37to offer me. Why would I?
- 1:36:39Why would this be a good move? You're losing 2 prospects during
- 1:36:41your top ten, one of your best pitching prospects in your farm
- 1:36:44system, and as far as is your newly improved outfielder, what
- 1:36:49has he done offensively in the last two years?
- 1:36:52I don't care how great defensively is.
- 1:36:54You just lost MO in your outfield who's a very talented
- 1:36:57offensive player and can do all the things that you're missing
- 1:37:00out in the outfield. Now you're adding it with this
- 1:37:02guy who can only play defense, maybe still here half the time,
- 1:37:05but guess what? He can't get on base.
- 1:37:07And if you can't get offense in the center field position, how
- 1:37:10does this benefit the Mets? Bad move by the Mets.
- 1:37:13I like it, I like Peralta. They need an to help McClain
- 1:37:16grow, but this move, this move might cost him and that move
- 1:37:19definitely will cost him hats. It's not a slam dunk.
- 1:37:22Wrong again. Night time take a ditch.
- 1:37:27Yeah, I, we, we kind of touched on this with.
- 1:37:29With the football side of it, like I don't and I don't know
- 1:37:33him. I don't know Peralta from a from
- 1:37:35a culture side. And if you want to teach the
- 1:37:37younger generation, I don't know what he what he brings to a
- 1:37:42clubhouse, don't know that. But also I don't want.
- 1:37:46To lose what I. Have and I already had these
- 1:37:49guys and you're giving up rentals is what is what you're
- 1:37:53doing. And if if he was a clubhouse guy
- 1:37:57and it was, it was somewhere we can't, we couldn't even argue
- 1:37:59that fact. But we've never heard anything
- 1:38:02other than the fact what we see on the field.
- 1:38:04And we don't know that. We're obviously not the front
- 1:38:06office. We're we're not in the clubhouse
- 1:38:08and we don't, we don't see that. But I don't know really what
- 1:38:12he's going to do from the context of is is.
- 1:38:16He going to grow these. Young kids.
- 1:38:18But if you've got a young dude that's there and you bring young
- 1:38:24guys up. It's kind of a.
- 1:38:25Crutch you lean on because when you come up with a younger guy
- 1:38:30you kind of gravitate toward because you you're kind of
- 1:38:33scared of the other guys because they've been there, they've done
- 1:38:35it. So you don't really lean on them
- 1:38:37very much, but you got a young guy that's already done it.
- 1:38:40He's proven it. Now you can be able to to lean
- 1:38:44on him a little bit and now you bring somebody else in that now
- 1:38:48it's like, hey, what's he going to create?
- 1:38:51What did? What is he going to do for this
- 1:38:52clubhouse that makes us better since we lost huge dynamics of
- 1:38:57the clubhouse. Yeah, you have Frankie, you have
- 1:39:00what it is. And obviously the reports of
- 1:39:04Seeger and Simeon didn't like each other.
- 1:39:07I don't know if you guys read that.
- 1:39:09Yeah, I'm just like. Well.
- 1:39:12All right, well, if that's. The way it is, yeah.
- 1:39:14Simeon's on the field all the time, we get it.
- 1:39:17But is he necessarily a clubhouse guy?
- 1:39:20Because Seeger's a baseball dude.
- 1:39:22He knows what a clubhouse means to players.
- 1:39:26So if if you want to keep the clubhouse, it's hard sometimes
- 1:39:30because it's very intimidating to come into a clubhouse as a
- 1:39:34young guy. But if you got young dudes to
- 1:39:36lean on and be like, damn, you know, this is a lot different
- 1:39:40than I thought it would be. But you got a guy that's doing
- 1:39:44the same thing and kind of in your same boat.
- 1:39:47But what is he doing that that is going to add value not not
- 1:39:51only on the mound because I think it goes different and you
- 1:39:57got to create the. Clubhouse to win.
- 1:39:59And I don't really know what he brings to that aspect.
- 1:40:02All right, well, all righty then it.
- 1:40:07Is. Is there one more?
- 1:40:09Question is there anybody? Else because I want to give him
- 1:40:12an opportunity anymore. All right, we'll do give me one
- 1:40:14more. I will do one more give me one
- 1:40:16more. I just want to I'll just answer
- 1:40:18because I feel bad. This one is rusty wheel 17.
- 1:40:21He says Stearns has been working on both these trades for quite a
- 1:40:23while meant Louise Roberts since the trade deadline last year and
- 1:40:26then Peralta. Obviously it's with the
- 1:40:27connection since winter meeting so he feels like he got a
- 1:40:30bargain based on his negotiation.
- 1:40:32By the way, thank you Rusty quickly I'll give you my answer
- 1:40:34to this. You might be right.
- 1:40:35Maybe he has been working, maybe he has been really reaching in
- 1:40:38his bag of, you know, candy or you know, toys.
- 1:40:42Here's the facts. You don't have Peralta.
- 1:40:44Peralta's there for one more year and then you go on strike.
- 1:40:47He could sit out and say I'll wait until the strike season is
- 1:40:49over and get all the money I possibly can.
- 1:40:52This guy is still 28 years old. He's going to get a lot of money
- 1:40:54and and I'm especially if he wins 1718 games with the Mets.
- 1:40:58As far as again, the outfielder, you, you know what this kid is,
- 1:41:03he can't hit for crap. The guys right now in the last
- 1:41:06two years is is hitting 200. That's not good.
- 1:41:10And and you're getting that center field.
- 1:41:11That's an important offensive position that you need to get
- 1:41:14something out of and you're not getting any offense.
- 1:41:16So it's not a good move. And Rusty, thank you for giving
- 1:41:19us your take. But I I disagree with you and
- 1:41:22that's it. Roberts always hurt. 200 games
- 1:41:25in the last that's. Another thing too.
- 1:41:26That's another thing too, which I didn't mention.
- 1:41:28He's never healthy. And, and again, I, I love you
- 1:41:30guys, all the Mets fans. I know you guys want to see a
- 1:41:33win and you want to see a championship. 1986 was the last
- 1:41:36time you seen. I know I'm a Jet fan.
- 1:41:37I haven't seen a championship ever.
- 1:41:39I'm a Knick fan. I haven't seen a championship
- 1:41:41ever. But I've been a Yankee fan for
- 1:41:43many, many years of my life and I've seen a lot of
- 1:41:45championships. So I know what it is for one of
- 1:41:47my teams teams to win. I was an I, I was a Ranger fan
- 1:41:50when I was a younger kid and then I grew into an Islander
- 1:41:53fan. It's a long story.
- 1:41:55I never got a chance to see the Rangers win Well, and then when
- 1:41:57I did, I wasn't a Ranger fan. I was it was a year and then and
- 1:42:01as an Islander fan, I was too young to understand what the
- 1:42:04Islanders were doing. So I honestly, the only team
- 1:42:07that I ever saw that wins won a championship of this time is is
- 1:42:11the Yankees. So it says a lot on
- 1:42:14understanding what it takes to win championships, especially
- 1:42:16here in one of the hardest cities to really deal with media
- 1:42:20work and all the other stuff that the backlash that you can
- 1:42:22add, as Jabba would tell you, he knows all about about it.
- 1:42:25It's not easy working. It's not easy dealing with the
- 1:42:28media out here. So that's all I'm going to say
- 1:42:30about that. All right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:42:33we call this Tic Tac. No right in the butt.
- 1:42:41We get the prizes cheap. Because they're stolen.
- 1:42:44No. No, no.
- 1:42:47No, no, no. All.
- 1:42:52Right, ladies and gentlemen, the.
- 1:42:55Game that will make you cross eye, dude, Speedy.
- 1:43:03All right, so we'll start it off.
- 1:43:04We mentioned before that the Patriots and Broncos AFC
- 1:43:07Championship was the second lowest scoring of all time.
- 1:43:10The lowest scoring of all time was in 1982 when one team beat
- 1:43:14the other 14 and nothing. These are two division rivals.
- 1:43:17Name the winning and losing team again.
- 1:43:19You get 2 guesses, each 19. 82 I'm going to guess I wasn't
- 1:43:29alive yet. Philadelphia.
- 1:43:31And the Giants? Nope, Giants were not good in 82
- 1:43:34I'm. Guessing.
- 1:43:38Is it the? Bills.
- 1:43:40Nope. Not the Bills.
- 1:43:43Give me the Dolphins. Yep, and.
- 1:43:51Patriots. One of those is.
- 1:43:55Right, one of those one. Of those is wrong, so that means
- 1:43:59there's only one possible answer.
- 1:44:02Because we said that they're division rivals.
- 1:44:04And we've named the other two teams.
- 1:44:05In the division. So we're talking about The Jets
- 1:44:08then? Yep.
- 1:44:10Wonderful figure. That one out, yeah, All right,
- 1:44:15got that one so. The Dolphins.
- 1:44:16Beat The Jets 14. Nothing.
- 1:44:17Thank you. Thank you for pissing me off
- 1:44:20even more. Well, we knew that.
- 1:44:22We knew The Jets didn't. Win that game.
- 1:44:25Yeah. Well, what else is All right?
- 1:44:26I'll take the middle to start off our streak.
- 1:44:30Errol. Get a smile on your face.
- 1:44:32We got it right. It had to be The Jets.
- 1:44:36Another. AFC title game.
- 1:44:37Hey, I don't write the questions Speedy.
- 1:44:40'S face in that thing is. Makes me laugh every time.
- 1:44:45Yeah, he loves it. He loves when he when The Jets.
- 1:44:48Are on the back end. Anyways, go ahead.
- 1:44:51All right, so we'll do this one because it's the anniversary of
- 1:44:53Kobe Bryant's unfortunate death. Kobe Bryant scored 80 points in
- 1:44:57a game, one of two Lakers that have ever scored 70 in a game.
- 1:45:00Name the other 70 in a game. Yes, 70 in a game, Kareem.
- 1:45:11Nope. 17 new or. Old school, older.
- 1:45:26I mean, there's an obvious name, but.
- 1:45:29He was older by then. I'm going to guess, but yeah.
- 1:45:32Will Chamberlain? Nope.
- 1:45:34That's what I was. That's the one.
- 1:45:35He never did it with the Lakers. That's that's what I was.
- 1:45:38Going to say you know what the? If it's older.
- 1:45:43Oh, there's a name. Elgin Baylor.
- 1:45:45No Java gets. It.
- 1:45:47Wow, yeah. There's a famous Elgin Baylor.
- 1:45:51Game so Wilt Chamberlain. Did do it five times, but he
- 1:45:54never did it with. The Lakers All right, let's.
- 1:45:58Bring it back Java. Where do you want?
- 1:45:59To go, we'll go bottom, left, bottom.
- 1:46:02Left it is what? In what year did El because?
- 1:46:07I remember the game. 1971, I believe, was the year.
- 1:46:13Yeah. Sounds about right.
- 1:46:16All right, Speedy. You're going to have to stop us.
- 1:46:18On this one, All right, so we'll go to Carlos Beltran, who just
- 1:46:21got a duck that. Into the Hall of Fame Tideford
- 1:46:23all time with 21 runs scored in a single postseason tied with
- 1:46:28somebody that was his teammate at one point in his career named
- 1:46:31this player God I hate you speedy for this say that again
- 1:46:34like there's a. There's a random name in.
- 1:46:36My head. So the question is, Carlos
- 1:46:38Beltran had 20. One runs scored in a single
- 1:46:41postseason, which is time for the MLB record.
- 1:46:44The guy he's tied with, what's his teammate at one point in his
- 1:46:46career? It's so I have such a random
- 1:46:49name. Lance Berkman.
- 1:46:50Nope. All right, that's a That's a
- 1:46:52good one. I.
- 1:46:53I. 1. I don't know why, but Johnny.
- 1:46:59Damon comes to mind. Now I'm going to take a guess.
- 1:47:06I don't even know if he. Played with him but it's a
- 1:47:08guess. Albert Pools no.
- 1:47:12So it was actually an Astro but it was an Astro.
- 1:47:14More recent Astro and it's Altova, yes.
- 1:47:20I freaking hate 20. One did it did.
- 1:47:22It did 21 in 2021. And then they'll did it with the
- 1:47:26Astros in four. I'm assuming.
- 1:47:29You want to go for the block. Speedy.
- 1:47:30Yes, indeed. All right, all right, next.
- 1:47:33Question. Let's go for.

- 1:48:17Nope. Really.
- 1:48:18No, it was someone that's actually still playing in the
- 1:48:21league right now. It's Malkin.
- 1:48:24Oh my God. Oh my God.
- 1:48:27I think Mcgilly was right in that cluster.
- 1:48:28Too with Fedorov, I think he was at 4:53 or something like that.
- 1:48:32I'm not a surprise Federal didn't have 500, I could have
- 1:48:35sworn. He did.
- 1:48:36All right, Speedy, where you going?
- 1:48:37All right, Where's where's my other I'm.

- 1:48:42Top left. Top left it is.
- 1:48:48All right, next question. All right, so we'll go back.
- 1:48:49To some football. Here so JSN.
- 1:48:52Had 153 receiving yards, which is second in Seahawks playoff
- 1:48:55history, only behind DK Metcalf, who did it in his rookie year in
- 1:48:592020. Against what team?
- 1:49:02In the playoffs? In the playoffs.
- 1:49:07Over 150 yards. Yeah, 160.
- 1:49:09Yards, so JSN got one. 53 So he just missed the JSN.
- 1:49:13Just missed that one. In the playoffs, 160 yards.
- 1:49:20Yes, and. The worst part is, is 2020.
- 1:49:23It's the. Pandemic year.
- 1:49:24So it's like, yeah, it was two months before the world changed.
- 1:49:29Yeah. I'll take you.
- 1:49:41I mean, you might as well guess. Arizona.
- 1:49:45Nope. I'm going to say.
- 1:49:51Green. Bay.

- 1:50:37rounds. That means speedy.

- 1:50:50How wonderful. There it is.
- 1:50:53Congratulations, Speed. You want my cream pie?
- 1:50:56I get more. Girls than.
- 1:50:58Scoops thank you to all the fans on all the platforms from.
- 1:51:01Spotify and Apple TikTok, Instagram X YouTube, Jabba in
- 1:51:07the mouth and all the different platforms that we're on.
- 1:51:09We really appreciate you guys and stay tuned for some great
- 1:51:13shows this year and great opportunities to see what we're
- 1:51:16going to be doing and and I believe sometime this year we're
- 1:51:19going to be positioned into maybe a huge announcement.
- 1:51:24So just looking forward to a great year and I hope everybody
- 1:51:27enjoys our show. We put a lot of time and effort
- 1:51:29and work into this and it's not you're just going to throw slop
- 1:51:33on the and hopefully it sticks. It's not like that.
- 1:51:36This show is not like that. It's hard work, dedication, all
- 1:51:38the guys, speedy and fish and all the guys that work on the
- 1:51:43back end to help this show really, you know, become
- 1:51:46something of a not only just a, you know, I believe one of the
- 1:51:50best shows in America, but one of the shows that I think people
- 1:51:54are copycatting and and trying to make their own, which is
- 1:51:58pathetic. And, and you know who I'm
- 1:52:00talking about. I don't even have to mention it.
- 1:52:02All you people out there that are trying to copycat us because
- 1:52:06you're just shamefully shameful enough to know that you have no
- 1:52:11create, create creativity, ability to go out there and, and
- 1:52:16put the, the time and effort into working and figuring out
- 1:52:19how you could be yourselves. So that's all I'm going to say.
- 1:52:22I almost stuttered on that, but that's it for our show.
- 1:52:24Speedy, who do we have on tomorrow, Thursday, time to be
- 1:52:27determined. Still on, but he is coming.
- 1:52:28Come on. He just converted two hours ago.
- 1:52:30He's be good to go. Our friend Mr. Foyer, Luke and
- 1:52:32Jaguars line back. All right, Foyer is going to be
- 1:52:34joining us. We'll talk about the Jaguars,
- 1:52:36their season. Obviously, you know Travis
- 1:52:39Hunter, the Gremlin, you know, his quarterback that's had a
- 1:52:43pretty good second-half of the season.
- 1:52:45So a lot to get into it with Foyer.
- 1:52:46I'm sure he's going to laugh as he always does when he comes on
- 1:52:49the show. All right, that's it for a show.
- 1:52:51Ladies and gentlemen, we'll see you Thursday.
- 1:52:52Goodnight. You're listening to the
- 1:52:55Worldwide. Sports Radio Network.
