Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone, live from the WOR LifeVac studios. Well, hey,
- 0:09Speaker 1: welcome to hour number two. That's right, we start at
- 0:11Speaker 1: nine o'clock now. Now, normally we open with my big
- 0:14Speaker 1: opening 20-minute, well, we're going to move that to later
- 0:17Speaker 1: in the hour. We don't usually do this. We wouldn't
- 0:19Speaker 1: do this for just anybody, but for the very funny,
- 0:23Speaker 1: brilliant Jimmy Fallon, we'll do it. He can't do it
- 0:26Speaker 1: later in the hour, so we'll do him first. And
- 0:29Speaker 1: then we'll get to the opening second. Make sense? No,
- 0:31Speaker 1: but it's worth it. Jimmy Fallon is on WOR every night,
- 0:35Speaker 1: 9 to midnight. It is a really funny, smart, interesting show.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Then on Saturday nights on the Fox News Channel, he
- 0:43Speaker 1: does the best late night show on television with the
- 0:45Speaker 1: best opening monologue anywhere. And he's with us now. Jimmy Fallon,
- 0:49Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 0:51Speaker 2: I'm good, man. Real story. I'm supposed to be on
- 0:53Speaker 2: America's Newsroom in 40 minutes, which means they want me
- 0:56Speaker 2: to get 30 minutes worth of makeup.
- 0:58Speaker 3: That's why we had to move this.
- 1:00Speaker 4: You know this, Mark.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I am standard definition pretty. If you're watching an SD,
- 1:04Speaker 2: I look fine. But if you put me on an HD,
- 1:07Speaker 2: it looks.
- 1:07Speaker 3: Like a carnival attraction. So wish them luck.
- 1:10Speaker 5: And thanks for having me on. I'm fired up.
- 1:13Speaker 1: You know, I never get makeup. Well, there's always like
- 1:19Speaker 1: three or four makeup. you know, people. So when it
- 1:23Speaker 1: comes to me, did you get makeup? Yeah, she gave
- 1:25Speaker 1: it to me.
- 1:25Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I never get it.
- 1:30Speaker 2: But you get away with it.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Nobody ever noticed. They don't notice. Try it one day
- 1:36Speaker 1: without makeup. Nobody will notice.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Well, what happens to me is, and I should do
- 1:40Speaker 2: that because I get in the chair and And if,
- 1:44Speaker 2: you know, if it's the weekend and I was like eating.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Salt and my face is a little, like they.
- 1:48Speaker 2: Hiss, like they get mad at you.
- 1:50Speaker 5: I'm not kidding. I get fat shamed. It's like, I
- 1:52Speaker 5: go to makeup.
- 1:53Speaker 3: It's like a dominatrix. They just call me names.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Like somebody had spare ribs during.
- 1:57Speaker 3: The football game.
- 1:58Speaker 2: I'm like, all right, come on.
- 1:59Speaker 3: I'm trying over here.
- 1:59Speaker 5: I'm a regular guy.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 1: And let's say, we'll know, we're not gonna mention any
- 2:04Speaker 1: names here, but let's be honest. A guy like you
- 2:06Speaker 1: or me, we, we go in, we're in a makeup
- 2:07Speaker 1: chair for five, six minutes. Some of these women, they
- 2:10Speaker 1: go in there like an hour and a half before,
- 2:12Speaker 1: and there's like three people working on them, and it's
- 2:14Speaker 1: like brushes and rollers. What the hell are they doing there?
- 2:19Speaker 5: Looks like a NASCAR pit crew. They're changing the fenders.
- 2:22Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 2:24Speaker 5: What's that pump for?
- 2:25Speaker 3: What is that about? I'm confused.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Blowing them things up.
- 2:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:30Speaker 1: And then, well, anyway, so I don't even know where
- 2:35Speaker 1: to start. Let's start with Mom Donnie. What the hell
- 2:37Speaker 1: was he trying to do yesterday? vigil for Israel. Then
- 2:41Speaker 1: he's at the Palestinian restaurant. He's trying to play both sides.
- 2:44Speaker 1: You can't get away with that, can you?
- 2:47Speaker 2: No, and that's the most insane part about it, is
- 2:49Speaker 2: everybody who saw that Twitter post thought that would be
- 2:53Speaker 2: like his only shame of the day. Obviously, he acknowledged
- 2:56Speaker 2: Israelis didn't say the word Jew, gave that 49 words,
- 3:01Speaker 2: I believe the rest of the, you know, but, you know,
- 3:03Speaker 2: Israel and America and everything else was.
- 3:05Speaker 5: Like another two pages.
- 3:07Speaker 4: So he gave.
- 3:08Speaker 2: What's funny, though, is like he didn't think he had
- 3:11Speaker 2: given those dirtbags enough of a shout out. So he
- 3:13Speaker 2: showed up to their rally last night and found out
- 3:16Speaker 2: they weren't happy either, which I thought was I mean,
- 3:19Speaker 2: I thought the.
- 3:19Speaker 5: Whole thing was hilarious, but so.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Emblematic of what Mom Donnie is. He is a tick
- 3:25Speaker 2: tock influencer who just wants his likes. So you're going
- 3:29Speaker 2: to say the thing about Israel, but you're going to
- 3:30Speaker 2: try to appease the free Palestine nuts. And at the
- 3:33Speaker 2: end of the day, people are starting to see through it.
- 3:35Speaker 2: So I enjoyed it. But I don't know if this
- 3:37Speaker 2: changes his calculus because normally a lot of things he celebrates,
- 3:41Speaker 2: you know.
- 3:41Speaker 5: The anniversary of the Boston Marathon attacks.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Is he even going to have that party now?
- 3:45Speaker 1: I don't know. And then he puts out this picture
- 3:50Speaker 1: where he's going to the Palestinian restaurant. What the hell
- 3:52Speaker 1: is a Palestinian restaurant? What are they? come out of
- 3:54Speaker 1: the kitchen and massacre you? What is a Palestinian restaurant?
- 3:59Speaker 5: That's funny. If you don't like the food, you can
- 4:00Speaker 5: throw rocks at the waitress.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I mean, what is going on.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Here? We're making jokes because this is that ridiculous.
- 4:07Speaker 5: I mean, the whole free Palestine thing.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And it's something they never talk about is who is
- 4:12Speaker 2: who are you actually freeing it from? If we were
- 4:14Speaker 2: going to get technical because it's run by Hamas. So
- 4:17Speaker 2: they yell free Palestine like we should all be mad
- 4:20Speaker 2: at the Jews. But the Jews aren't there. They're next
- 4:22Speaker 2: door just hanging out, trying to stop.
- 4:24Speaker 5: The rockets from flying into town.
- 4:26Speaker 2: That's how dumb the whole thing is. They free Palestine.
- 4:31Speaker 5: So I don't even get it, man.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:34Speaker 1: So what's going to, Mamdani, it's an amazing, unbelievable, this
- 4:39Speaker 1: would be a hell of a movie. A guy who's
- 4:40Speaker 1: never had a job in his life. He's 12 years old.
- 4:43Speaker 1: He's a TikTok influencer. Suddenly he's the mayor of the
- 4:45Speaker 1: biggest city in the world. It's an incredible story, isn't it?
- 4:50Speaker 5: Yeah, well, yeah.
- 4:51Speaker 2: The movie itself is really a good American tale.
- 4:54Speaker 5: I mean, that's what he should be like. He should
- 4:55Speaker 5: like America.
- 4:56Speaker 2: You come here, and your first job is mayor of
- 5:00Speaker 2: the biggest city in the country? I'd say this is
- 5:03Speaker 2: a pretty tolerant society, you know? I don't ever want
- 5:06Speaker 2: to hear a word about Islamophobia again. It's like you
- 5:09Speaker 2: showed up to our town bashing our country, and we
- 5:12Speaker 2: were like, hey, maybe.
- 5:13Speaker 5: Put this guy in charge, okay?
- 5:16Speaker 2: I'd say it's a pretty opportunistic place.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Well, Jimmy Fallon's on every night, 9 to midnight, right
- 5:22Speaker 1: here on WOR, 9 to midnight. Hey, the midterms, Democrats
- 5:27Speaker 1: running on affordability. You know, it was Donald Trump that
- 5:30Speaker 1: first campaigned on affordability in 2016. They stole his idea.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But are they the ones to run on affordability?
- 5:39Speaker 2: No, that's like my favorite thing in the world. That's
- 5:42Speaker 2: like Lindsey Clancy saying we need better babysitting. It's like,
- 5:45Speaker 2: come on, I don't know if this is your forte.
- 5:48Speaker 2: And they were the ones who jacked up the prices.
- 5:50Speaker 2: So that drives me crazy because you know this. When
- 5:54Speaker 2: the government spends more money, the cost of everything goes
- 5:57Speaker 2: up in the process.
- 5:58Speaker 5: That's what drives inflation. Too many dollars chasing too few goods.
- 6:01Speaker 2: But when they try to go, well, things are too expensive.
- 6:04Speaker 3: So what we're going to do to give you a
- 6:06Speaker 3: break is we're going.
- 6:06Speaker 2: To tax the hell out of these companies. They don't
- 6:09Speaker 2: actually lower prices when that happens. They go, oh, we
- 6:12Speaker 2: got this big tax bill. I guess the pack of
- 6:14Speaker 2: Twinkies is going up another 49 cents. And you know this.
- 6:18Speaker 3: I know this.
- 6:19Speaker 2: But it's crazy because it's people who failed math and
- 6:22Speaker 2: history who but have figured out how to get likes
- 6:24Speaker 2: on TikTok.
- 6:26Speaker 5: And that's essentially what life is now.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Most politicians are TikTok influencers who have a side hustle
- 6:31Speaker 2: in Congress. That's what we're watching.
- 6:33Speaker 5: Wow.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Jimmy Fallon, Krista Pike, she survived two lethal injections. What
- 6:41Speaker 1: do you think? I'd say give her like three sandwiches
- 6:44Speaker 1: from the Carnegie Deli. Let's hear her survive that.
- 6:46Speaker 5: You could take her right out.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I mean, because here's the other thing. People are on
- 6:50Speaker 2: the fence about this because they're like, well, she deserved
- 6:53Speaker 2: the death penalty, but she survived the execution.
- 6:55Speaker 3: That's his own trauma.
- 6:57Speaker 2: So if you take the guilt and the debate away,
- 6:59Speaker 2: what you do is you give her tickets to The View.
- 7:02Speaker 5: She kills herself.
- 7:04Speaker 2: And then nobody has to feel bad. We're all our
- 7:07Speaker 2: hands are clean here. OK, that's the all female execution
- 7:11Speaker 2: team we need. You throw that on.
- 7:12Speaker 5: She's jumping off a building. And there we go.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Hey, you know, every Saturday night you do the show.
- 7:18Speaker 1: It's on the Fox News channel. It is the funniest
- 7:22Speaker 1: late night show of all. You do the best monologue
- 7:24Speaker 1: in television. It's like 18 minutes of just funny jokes.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Then I watch Jimmy Kimmel. He does like four minutes
- 7:32Speaker 1: of hate speech. That's supposed to be the monologue. How
- 7:37Speaker 1: does that happen on a network? Doesn't somebody say to him, hey,
- 7:40Speaker 1: try making jokes. Try actually being funny.
- 7:43Speaker 2: The problem is the person who's supposed.
- 7:45Speaker 3: To say that, like the head writer, is his wife.
- 7:48Speaker 2: And his wife, for real, his wife is the head
- 7:51Speaker 2: writer on that show. As crazy as that sounds to people.
- 7:54Speaker 2: And what you're really getting through him is like he's
- 7:57Speaker 2: kind of the messenger for her. Because he wasn't really
- 8:00Speaker 2: a comic to begin with. So he's always had writers
- 8:03Speaker 2: kind of steering.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Him in a direction.
- 8:04Speaker 2: But now he has a head writer. who is one
- 8:07Speaker 2: of those women that would be out there cheering for Hamas,
- 8:10Speaker 2: even though Hamas doesn't recognize her right to exist freely
- 8:13Speaker 2: in society. So it's crazy because there really has, there's
- 8:18Speaker 2: never been a dumber time to be alive. The comedians
- 8:21Speaker 2: are now making more serious statements.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Than the news people.
- 8:24Speaker 2: You know, the news people are trying to pretend Trump
- 8:27Speaker 2: wanted to blow up California.
- 8:29Speaker 5: Okay.
- 8:30Speaker 2: What we should be focused on is the fact that
- 8:32Speaker 2: California looks like.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Somebody already blew it up.
- 8:35Speaker 5: That's what we should be concerned about.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Hey, when they do that, Trump says something outrageous, which,
- 8:41Speaker 1: you know, he's got the Howard Stern side to him.
- 8:43Speaker 1: They try to make it a campaign issue. Nobody cares
- 8:46Speaker 1: anymore that he said something crazy. He always does.
- 8:49Speaker 2: No, it's so baked into the cake at this point.
- 8:53Speaker 2: that Trump is a New Yorker, okay?
- 8:56Speaker 5: People talk out of.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Their butts around here.
- 8:57Speaker 5: We exaggerate.
- 8:59Speaker 2: We pick little fights. You know, we have, you know,
- 9:01Speaker 2: our little fits that we throw from time to time.
- 9:04Speaker 2: But the point is that he's just a human being,
- 9:07Speaker 2: and most people have seen him now for 10 years.
- 9:10Speaker 2: So you can't surprise them. This would be like running
- 9:12Speaker 2: a campaign commercial that Liberace dresses loud. We know that.
- 9:18Speaker 2: The rhinestones are just part of the deal now. And
- 9:22Speaker 2: that's their biggest problem, is they're running on a lot
- 9:25Speaker 2: of things the.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Rest of us are used to.
- 9:27Speaker 2: But that's why the socialists have traction, because the socialists
- 9:30Speaker 2: aren't out there pretending Trump is Hitler. The socialists are
- 9:33Speaker 2: out there saying we should just kill the Jews ourselves.
- 9:37Speaker 5: It's crazy.
- 9:37Speaker 2: But that's a lot of the whole DSA movement. And
- 9:41Speaker 2: they were chanting.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Last night, globalize the intifada.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Guys, I mean, that is not, you know, that's the
- 9:47Speaker 2: goal here. And that's the part I have a problem with.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I'm a free speech absolutist. But it's hard to walk
- 9:52Speaker 2: down the streets in our city hearing people chant, we've
- 9:55Speaker 2: got to kill everyone who doesn't agree with us and
- 9:58Speaker 2: feel like we're doing a good thing by letting the
- 10:00Speaker 2: all in, you know?
- 10:01Speaker 1: Well, hey, Jimmy Phil, I know I've got to let
- 10:03Speaker 1: you go because you've got a show to do. Tonight,
- 10:06Speaker 1: 9 to midnight, every weeknight, listen to him. 9 to midnight.
- 10:09Speaker 1: It's a really great show on WOR. And make sure
- 10:13Speaker 1: you watch his Saturday night show. On the Fox News Channel,
- 10:16Speaker 1: 10 o'clock. You're taping it tomorrow night, and people can
- 10:19Speaker 1: come see it?
- 10:19Speaker 5: Yeah, we tape Friday nights.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Tomorrow night, Chris Hansen from Dateline is on.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Oh!
- 10:24Speaker 3: So, I know.
- 10:25Speaker 5: He's got Robert Pattinson playing.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Him in a movie.
- 10:28Speaker 5: That's a big deal. But he's going to be in studio.
- 10:31Speaker 2: If you guys want to come meet Chris Hansen and
- 10:33Speaker 2: any of the Fox people, the tickets are always free
- 10:36Speaker 2: at foxacrossamerica.com.
- 10:38Speaker 5: It's a good hang.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Yeah, Friday evening, and bring somebody. It's free. It's a
- 10:42Speaker 1: great date. FoxAcrossAmerica.com. You can get the tickets there and
- 10:47Speaker 1: listen to Jimmy Fallon tonight. Well, thanks for today, and
- 10:52Speaker 1: we'll talk to you at the normal time next week.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and if they bump me from TV because, like,
- 10:56Speaker 2: Trump gives a weird speech, I'll disguise my voice and call.
- 10:59Speaker 3: In as a caller in a little bit.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Thanks, man.
- 11:02Speaker 1: All right, take care.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 11:04Speaker 1: The great Jimmy Fallon. So, yeah, normally we do a big,
- 11:08Speaker 1: long opening. We'll do that later in the hour. But
- 11:11Speaker 1: speaking of President Trump, hey, big announcement yesterday. Actually, a
- 11:15Speaker 1: big ceremony. This is a great thing he's come up with.
- 11:17Speaker 1: You won't see it anywhere in the news because it's
- 11:20Speaker 1: too positive. They will make sure not to mention this.
- 11:23Speaker 1: But they set up those Trump accounts. And it's every
- 11:27Speaker 1: kid that's born gets an account. And the government will
- 11:31Speaker 1: put $ 1, 000 into the account. And then it goes into
- 11:35Speaker 1: a fund, like an investment fund that's very, very safe.
- 11:39Speaker 1: They'll invest in the S & P 500, the safest
- 11:42Speaker 1: and best investments. So you start when you're born with $ 1, 000.
- 11:47Speaker 1: And by the time you're ready to go to college,
- 11:49Speaker 1: it'll have grown to like $ 100, 000 and it'll pay for college.
- 11:53Speaker 1: It's a great idea. And a lot of the corporations
- 11:57Speaker 1: are donating to it and giving money to it. And big,
- 12:01Speaker 1: big congratulations to a real hero. And this is Michael
- 12:04Speaker 1: Dell and his wife, Susan. They're going to give $ 250
- 12:08Speaker 1: into the accounts for 25 million kids. It's going to
- 12:14Speaker 1: cost them about $ 3 billion, but they're going to do this.
- 12:17Speaker 1: And as they say, some of the biggest companies in
- 12:19Speaker 1: America are giving hundreds of millions. This week, they got
- 12:24Speaker 1: 70 million kids signed up for this. You got to
- 12:29Speaker 1: have a social security number. You got to be under 18.
- 12:33Speaker 1: But when you're born, they'll put you into this program.
- 12:37Speaker 1: So far, they've put about almost $ 5 billion into these accounts.
- 12:40Speaker 1: $ 5 billion. So the president had a big ceremony yesterday. Now,
- 12:45Speaker 1: any child born during Trump's second term will receive a
- 12:48Speaker 1: thousand dollar contribution. And again, by the time you're in college,
- 12:52Speaker 1: it'll grow to about a hundred thousand. It'll pay for
- 12:55Speaker 1: your education or if you want to start a business
- 12:57Speaker 1: or whatever. President Trump yesterday. I urge all parents.
- 13:01Speaker 6: To download the official Trump account app to claim their
- 13:05Speaker 6: children's account or begin managing and contributing to it today.
- 13:09Speaker 1: It's really amazing. Yeah, it's a great thing. And Mrs. Dell,
- 13:13Speaker 1: Susan Dell, said, for every child across America, these accounts
- 13:17Speaker 1: are for you. We believe in you. We want you
- 13:19Speaker 1: to dream big. We know you can make your dreams
- 13:22Speaker 1: come true. It's a great thing. So everybody should take advantage. Now,
- 13:27Speaker 1: a parent or guardian must claim the account in order
- 13:30Speaker 1: to manage it, allow others to contribute to it, and
- 13:34Speaker 1: for children to receive all of this. A parent has
- 13:38Speaker 1: to be involved in this. Hey, when you... send your
- 13:41Speaker 1: kid to college. He said, what the tuition? Why is
- 13:44Speaker 1: it so much for this tuition? These colleges, somebody really
- 13:50Speaker 1: needs to look into them. Exactly what the costs are,
- 13:53Speaker 1: exactly why they're charging so much money. Take Yale University,
- 13:58Speaker 1: maybe one of our finest universities, Yale University. They just
- 14:03Speaker 1: spent 30 million at Yale. Now you're saying, oh, they
- 14:08Speaker 1: must have put in the state-of-the-art computers and They spent
- 14:13Speaker 1: $ 30 million renovating the golf course. Now, golf doesn't take
- 14:22Speaker 1: 10 minutes. You play golf, it's three hours. Aren't you
- 14:28Speaker 1: supposed to be studying or going to class or doing something?
- 14:30Speaker 1: You're not supposed to be on the golf course for
- 14:32Speaker 1: three hours. And how much does it cost to renovate
- 14:36Speaker 1: the golf course? Hire a couple of landscapers. Let them,
- 14:39Speaker 1: you know, mow the grass or something or fix the
- 14:44Speaker 1: sand trap. 30 million on renovating the golf course? That's
- 14:49Speaker 1: why your tuition is so much. 30 million. Now, when
- 14:53Speaker 1: your kid calls you from school, how is it? Oh
- 14:55Speaker 1: my God, it's so tough. The study? No, the fourth hole.
- 15:00Speaker 1: They made the fourth hole longer and they narrowed the fairway.
- 15:03Speaker 1: I mean, 30 million on the golf. This is not
- 15:05Speaker 1: to build a golf course. It's just to renovate the
- 15:07Speaker 1: golf course. Absolutely ridiculous. So we'll get back to Crazy
- 15:12Speaker 1: Mom Donnie. We'll get to AI. Is it really going
- 15:15Speaker 1: to kill everybody? We'll get to Iran and a whole
- 15:19Speaker 1: lot more coming up. We'll take some calls too. 800-321-0710
- 15:21Speaker 1: is the number. 800-321-0710. Also, we'll get to these people
- 15:24Speaker 1: in Congress. You won't believe how they're actually robbing you now.
- 15:27Speaker 1: We'll get to this coming up. Mark Simone here on 710WOR.
- 15:37Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show. Now 9 till noon weekdays. 710WOR. Hey,
- 15:39Speaker 1: we'll take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 15:41Speaker 2: 800-321-0710. So, you know, they've caught a lot of illegal immigrants.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Trying to vote. Lots of illegals. Trying to vote. They've
- 16:04Speaker 1: been caught. States have admitted to it. You know how
- 16:08Speaker 1: much coverage it's been getting on network TV, ABC, CBS, NBC?
- 16:13Speaker 1: There's an organization that studies this. The exact number of
- 16:19Speaker 1: minutes it's been covered by ABC, CBS, and NBC is.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Zero.
- 16:24Speaker 1: That's the number. Zero. No coverage of it at all.
- 16:30Speaker 1: President Trump apparently, reportedly weighing new Iran strikes before the midterms. Now,
- 16:36Speaker 1: we know after the midterms, once it's over, Iran is
- 16:39Speaker 1: just going to get wiped out, just completely wiped out. See,
- 16:41Speaker 1: they think good strategies wait for the midterms. And then
- 16:46Speaker 1: if the president loses the midterms, the new Democratic Congress
- 16:51Speaker 1: will stop the war. I don't think they calculated into this.
- 16:57Speaker 1: Right after the midterms, let's say the Democrats win. They
- 17:01Speaker 1: don't take office until January. Trump would have two months
- 17:04Speaker 1: to wipe out Iran. But apparently there have been meetings,
- 17:07Speaker 1: preparations by the Pentagon, just in case they may launch
- 17:11Speaker 1: a massive amount of strikes against Iran before the midterms,
- 17:17Speaker 1: just to make it look like something's going to turn
- 17:20Speaker 1: in Iraq. Now, some of this is being reported by Atlantic,
- 17:23Speaker 1: the Atlantic, which has now become about the most unreliable
- 17:27Speaker 1: publication in the world. But we'll see what happens. Hey,
- 17:32Speaker 1: let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. Let's go
- 17:37Speaker 1: to Bill in Idaho. Bill, how are you doing?
- 17:40Speaker 6: Hey, Mark. How are you today?
- 17:43Speaker 1: I'm good. What are you, in a tunnel right now?
- 17:46Speaker 4: No. Well, sort of.
- 17:48Speaker 7: You know, I live in Cordon Lane, Idaho.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Yeah, we ask that callers get within 50 feet of
- 17:54Speaker 1: the phone. How far away are you from the phone?
- 17:58Speaker 4: Oh, not too far away.
- 17:59Speaker 1: All right, you want to be like that? All right, wait,
- 18:01Speaker 1: hang on. I'm going to go back here. I'll talk
- 18:03Speaker 1: from here. How's that?
- 18:06Speaker 2: Okay.
- 18:06Speaker 1: We'll both sound.
- 18:07Speaker 6: Like we're far away.
- 18:08Speaker 4: I got my closer now.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Yeah, how about go right up to the phone?
- 18:14Speaker 5: Okay, I'm up to the phone right now.
- 18:16Speaker 1: See, now we can hear you.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Okay.
- 18:20Speaker 6: You know, you said the only problem with living in
- 18:22Speaker 6: Idaho is you're living in Idaho.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Yeah, well, they.
- 18:25Speaker 3: But.
- 18:28Speaker 6: But here's a fascinating fact that you might want to know.
- 18:31Speaker 1: All right.
- 18:35Speaker 6: In this small county, there are more doctors than there
- 18:38Speaker 6: are in Boston or Johns Hopkins or the Mayo Clinic.
- 18:43Speaker 4: And you know why?
- 18:44Speaker 2: Why?
- 18:46Speaker 6: Because all of Canada comes down here and gets their
- 18:50Speaker 6: medical stuff because socialized medicine is.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Well, I understand, but if you're from Canada and you
- 18:57Speaker 1: come here for help, why wouldn't you go to New
- 19:00Speaker 1: York or the Mayo Clinic? Why would you go to Idaho?
- 19:02Speaker 6: Because you've got to pay taxes. You don't have parking space.
- 19:07Speaker 6: There's no taxes here. There are three casinos.
- 19:12Speaker 7: Where the old lady can go to.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Uh-huh.
- 19:15Speaker 4: You know, it's all owned by the.
- 19:19Speaker 6: Indians, by the way.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Well, it sounds like a hell of a place to live.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Sounds like a lot of fun. Three broken-down casinos and
- 19:26Speaker 1: lots of parking spaces. That's a great selling point.
- 19:29Speaker 6: Yeah, but I think Trump and, you know, the Republicans
- 19:33Speaker 6: use this that the failure of the Canadian health system
- 19:37Speaker 6: is driving.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Well, they have used it. They've used it millions of times. But, Bill,
- 19:42Speaker 1: we've got to go talk to... Anybody else, thanks for calling.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Take care. Let's go to Joanne in Glendale. Joanne, how
- 19:50Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 19:52Speaker 7: Good. Love your show, Mark.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 19:55Speaker 7: I just wanted to make a comment about the woman
- 19:59Speaker 7: who called from Brooklyn.
- 20:01Speaker 1: The one who would only pay cash in the supermarket
- 20:03Speaker 1: and won't use her credit card.
- 20:05Speaker 7: Yes, that's me. So I agree with her. It's a
- 20:10Speaker 7: great way to budget. I even pay cash for my
- 20:12Speaker 7: gas and I do pump my own gas. So I'm
- 20:15Speaker 7: with her in paying cash.
- 20:17Speaker 1: But you have a credit card, right?
- 20:21Speaker 7: Yeah, I do. I have two.
- 20:23Speaker 1: So you all have credit cards. What do you think
- 20:24Speaker 1: it's for? This is what it's for.
- 20:28Speaker 7: Only if I'm buying something big, like furniture or something
- 20:33Speaker 7: big that I don't have a lot of cash. But otherwise, no.
- 20:37Speaker 7: I like to pay cash for everything.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Why?
- 20:42Speaker 7: I guess it's just that I've always been like that.
- 20:45Speaker 7: And like I said, it helps me budget. I take
- 20:48Speaker 7: a certain amount of money out of the bank, and
- 20:50Speaker 7: that's my money for the next two weeks. And that's
- 20:53Speaker 7: what I spend.
- 20:54Speaker 4: All right.
- 20:54Speaker 1: That makes a little sense. But use a credit card
- 20:56Speaker 1: once in a while.
- 20:58Speaker 7: And, you know, I met you about 20 years ago.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Must have been exciting, huh?
- 21:04Speaker 7: Well, you know, I was so intimidated.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Oh.
- 21:09Speaker 5: It was you.
- 21:10Speaker 7: It was Mark Levin and Sean Hannity in that bookstore
- 21:16Speaker 7: in Huntington.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Remember that bookstore in Huntington? Oh, my God.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Yeah, we did a book signing out there. It was
- 21:21Speaker 1: so unbelievable. 7,000 people showed up and gridlocked the entire
- 21:26Speaker 1: town of Huntington.
- 21:28Speaker 7: Well, I was one of them.
- 21:30Speaker 4: Oh.
- 21:31Speaker 7: Anyway, I miss that place, and I miss all the
- 21:33Speaker 7: book signings.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Yeah, there was a great bookstore called Book Review, Huntington,
- 21:37Speaker 1: Long Island. I'm trying to remember. I think it was
- 21:40Speaker 1: Mark Levin's book that had come out, but we all
- 21:45Speaker 1: promoted on the air. It was me, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity,
- 21:49Speaker 1: and Curtis Sliwa was there.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Yes.
- 21:52Speaker 7: Yes, Curtis Sliwa with his son. His son was little.
- 21:55Speaker 1: And you will testify.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Yes.
- 21:58Speaker 1: That so many thousands of people showed up. There were
- 22:00Speaker 1: like 3,000 outside that couldn't get in, and the whole
- 22:02Speaker 1: town of Huntington was gridlocked all day.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Oh, absolutely.
- 22:06Speaker 7: Well, I got there hours early.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:09Speaker 7: I made sure I was in. There were people lined
- 22:15Speaker 7: up for blocks.
- 22:16Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 22:17Speaker 7: No, that was a great day. I miss those days.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Actually, if you go on my Instagram and scroll back
- 22:23Speaker 1: a few, I think it was a month or two ago,
- 22:24Speaker 1: I put up a picture from that day.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 22:28Speaker 1: Yeah. Because you see how everybody looks different 20 years ago. Yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 1: I know. All right. And you live in Huntington?
- 22:38Speaker 7: No, I don't live in Huntington. I live in Glendale, Queens.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Very good. So see, people came from all over.
- 22:44Speaker 7: I did grow up in Huntington, though.
- 22:47Speaker 4: All right.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Thanks for calling, Joanne. Take care. Let's go. Speaking of
- 22:51Speaker 1: paying cash, let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how
- 22:54Speaker 1: you doing?
- 22:55Speaker 4: Mark, I'm calling you. You were chiding that gentleman yesterday
- 23:00Speaker 4: who didn't want to use the credit card in his iPhone.
- 23:03Speaker 4: These two women calling you about only using cash. Mark,
- 23:07Speaker 4: that's all I use. Sometimes I use the credit card
- 23:11Speaker 4: when I have a big medical co-pager to pay. In fact, Recently,
- 23:16Speaker 4: I had to go to the dentist and I fill
- 23:20Speaker 4: out all my personal information. So the receptionist says, oh,
- 23:26Speaker 4: you didn't fill out the information about your credit card.
- 23:29Speaker 4: So I says, what for? She says, so that if
- 23:31Speaker 4: you miss an appointment, we could dox your credit card.
- 23:35Speaker 4: I says, look, first off, I'm not going to miss
- 23:37Speaker 4: an appointment. And secondly, unless you're going to do something
- 23:41Speaker 4: really big on me today where I have to pay
- 23:44Speaker 4: for a crown. I'm not going to use a credit card.
- 23:49Speaker 4: I pulled out the broccoli roll.
- 23:52Speaker 1: Broccoli roll means a big wad of cash, and they
- 23:54Speaker 1: take the rubber band from the broccoli, that big rubber band.
- 23:57Speaker 4: Right, the Andy Boy, the pink rubber band. So she says, well,
- 24:01Speaker 4: I don't know if we can serve you. She says,
- 24:03Speaker 4: I've got to go speak to the boss, the dentist.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Did she know who she was dealing with?
- 24:08Speaker 4: Well, Mark, as you well know, Johnny Cash is still king.
- 24:13Speaker 1: All right, but Vincent, some people, there are reasons they
- 24:18Speaker 1: want to use cash. We understand that. Some harmless old lady,
- 24:21Speaker 1: they don't need to use cash.
- 24:24Speaker 4: I know, Mark. Well, she went in to see the dentist,
- 24:27Speaker 4: and the dentist poked his head out, and he said,
- 24:30Speaker 4: no problem, because you know where that cash went? It
- 24:34Speaker 4: didn't go into the cash box. It went right in
- 24:38Speaker 4: his pocket. And a lot of times when I'm in
- 24:41Speaker 4: Europe and I go to a hotel.
- 24:44Speaker 4: I never pay with a credit card. I pay with
- 24:46Speaker 4: cash because what happens then, the concierge steals the money,
- 24:52Speaker 4: and then they make your account disappear. You were never
- 24:54Speaker 4: in the.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Hotel because they took the money.
- 24:58Speaker 7: They don't want a record of it.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Vincent Travel Guide.
- 25:01Speaker 4: It serves two purposes, Mark.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Good call, Vincent. Excellent. Thanks for calling. Use a credit card.
- 25:09Speaker 1: The only time you need cash when you're bribing the
- 25:11Speaker 1: maitre d' or somebody, that's when you use cash. Anyway,
- 25:14Speaker 1: we've got a lot to get to. Don't go away. 710WOR.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Mark Simone.
- 25:21Speaker 5: On 710WOR.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Well, hey, a lot to get to. This crazy anti-Semitism
- 25:33Speaker 1: that is all over the place, all over the world.
- 25:36Speaker 1: It's all over New York. Yesterday, now it's the third
- 25:38Speaker 1: anniversary of October 7th. the massacre of Jews, the Holocaust
- 25:43Speaker 1: launched by Hamas. The protesters were all over the place.
- 25:47Speaker 1: It was absolutely disgusting. These anti-Israel, really, really anti-Semitic protesters
- 25:54Speaker 1: all over New York City, Columbia, NYU. Students walked out
- 26:00Speaker 1: on the October 7th anniversary. They walked out. And again, Columbia, NYU,
- 26:05Speaker 1: just horrible, horrible places filled with anti-Semitism now. And the
- 26:10Speaker 1: students yelling, keep the Intifada alive. Resistance is justified. And
- 26:16Speaker 1: they're all yelling from the river to the sea, which
- 26:19Speaker 1: means eliminating Israel, which is absolute out and out anti-Semitism.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Absolutely disgusting. These are Columbia NYU students. They're all wearing
- 26:29Speaker 1: all that stuff. And they're holding banners calling for NYU
- 26:34Speaker 1: to divest, shutter its Tel Aviv campus. They were chanting,
- 26:40Speaker 1: long live the Intifada from the river to the sea.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Palestine will be free. This is a river to the
- 26:45Speaker 1: sea means eliminate Israel. Just wipe it out. So they're
- 26:49Speaker 1: talking about Holocaust here. They're cheering for Holocaust. Andrew Ross,
- 26:55Speaker 1: he's a professor at NYU's American Studies program. He's part
- 27:00Speaker 1: of the faculty and staff for justice in Palestine. Now,
- 27:03Speaker 1: this guy, this is an NYU professor. justified Hamas's bloody
- 27:11Speaker 1: invasion on October 7th. Now remember, what Hamas did on
- 27:13Speaker 1: October 7th was a holocaust. It was genocide. It was terrorism.
- 27:19Speaker 1: It was disgusting. It was an awful attack that involved
- 27:23Speaker 1: slicing the throat of babies, raping women. Andrew Ross, NYU
- 27:29Speaker 1: professor of American studies, justified the attack. Justified it. He
- 27:35Speaker 1: called it very tragic, but he went on to spread
- 27:39Speaker 1: this stupid conspiracy theory that the Israeli defense forces killed
- 27:43Speaker 1: some of their own citizens to make it look worse.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Absolutely disgusting stuff. This is what goes on at NYU, Columbia.
- 27:52Speaker 1: We know what goes on at Cornell, I mean, and
- 27:55Speaker 1: how they handle it. You know, a lot of people
- 27:59Speaker 1: proudly tell you they went to Columbia. It's an embarrassing
- 28:02Speaker 1: thing to admit now. I know people had a Cornell,
- 28:05Speaker 1: you know, up on their wall. You've got to take
- 28:07Speaker 1: that down now. Who wants to even mention anything about
- 28:10Speaker 1: these places? All right, now listen to this. This is
- 28:15Speaker 1: really disgusting. Members of Congress, congressmen, senators, congresswomen, they don't
- 28:23Speaker 1: get paid a lot. I mean, it's $ 174, 000 a year.
- 28:27Speaker 1: That's kind of a lot of money for most people.
- 28:29Speaker 1: $ 174, 000 for a lot of people would be a hell
- 28:31Speaker 1: of a lot of money. But if you're in Congress...
- 28:35Speaker 1: You feel like you're one of the most powerful people
- 28:37Speaker 1: on earth, that you should be making millions. They pushed
- 28:40Speaker 1: for a raise. They've been unable to get a raise
- 28:43Speaker 1: for years. Now, one thing about if you're in Congress
- 28:47Speaker 1: with the Senate, it is a little tricky in that
- 28:50Speaker 1: you do have to have two residences. Let's say you're
- 28:53Speaker 1: Chuck Schumer. You have to have a house to live
- 28:55Speaker 1: in in New York, and you've got to have a
- 28:57Speaker 1: place to live in Washington, D.C. So that's an expense
- 29:01Speaker 1: most people don't have. Now, what a lot of the
- 29:03Speaker 1: Congress people do When they go to D.C., they'll become roommates.
- 29:07Speaker 1: They'll be like seven congressmen living in one apartment, one
- 29:11Speaker 1: big apartment. Or they'll all get a house together. Kind
- 29:14Speaker 1: of a Golden Girls kind of deal. They do do
- 29:17Speaker 1: a lot of that. But what they're doing and what
- 29:19Speaker 1: they've been doing for years, I don't think people are
- 29:22Speaker 1: aware of this. Since they can't get a raise, members
- 29:26Speaker 1: of the House are using their expense accounts to pay
- 29:30Speaker 1: for everything. All their meals, their rent. all kinds of
- 29:35Speaker 1: stuff they're abusing it like crazy it's been going on
- 29:39Speaker 1: for years Just charging everything to taxpayers. You won't give
- 29:45Speaker 1: us a raise? We'll get our raise. We'll just bill
- 29:47Speaker 1: you for everything in our life. Now, some of them,
- 29:50Speaker 1: I just got one guy, Lance Gooden. He's a Republican
- 29:54Speaker 1: from Texas. He kind of claims the record. He billed
- 29:59Speaker 1: the taxpayers $ 73, 000. $ 73, 000. He charged his lodging, his meals, everything. Actually, no,
- 30:03Speaker 1: wait a minute. $ 73, 000 for lodging, for his rent.
- 30:04Speaker 2: $ 73, 000.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Also charged $ 8, 000 in meals. So it's about $ 81, 000 that
- 30:07Speaker 1: he charged the taxpayers. $ 81, 000 in expenses. Now, you can
- 30:09Speaker 1: go all over the place. There's 37 lawmakers from New York.
- 30:28Speaker 1: New Jersey, and Connecticut that claimed almost $ 700, 000 in housing
- 30:35Speaker 1: food reimbursements just last year. Here's Long Island Representative Nick Lolota,
- 30:42Speaker 1: Republican in New York, sought most of the group. $ 30, 000
- 30:47Speaker 1: in reimbursements. $ 30, 000 on his expense account. This is what
- 30:52Speaker 1: they do, these congressmen and women. They just bill us
- 30:55Speaker 1: for everything. Who do they think they are? The Clinton Foundation?
- 30:58Speaker 1: Billing everybody for their food and meals and lodging. The
- 31:03Speaker 1: White House? They're going to announce the Nobel Peace Prize tomorrow.
- 31:09Speaker 1: The Nobel Prize is the most ridiculous, biased award in
- 31:13Speaker 1: the world. It's a very, very, very biased left-wing award.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Do you remember that Barack Obama got the Nobel Peace Prize?
- 31:24Speaker 1: For nothing.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 31:25Speaker 1: He got elected president. The next day, they gave him
- 31:28Speaker 1: the Nobel Peace Prize. He hadn't even started the job yet.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Hadn't even taken office yet. How could you get a
- 31:33Speaker 1: peace prize when you haven't even started for absolutely nothing? Now,
- 31:38Speaker 1: as President Trump likes to point out, he's already settled
- 31:40Speaker 1: like seven wars around the world. He's freed like two countries,
- 31:44Speaker 1: Venezuela and other. No peace prize. No peace prize. In fact,
- 31:48Speaker 1: a woman that won it last year, the Venezuela leader,
- 31:53Speaker 1: felt so guilty. She took her Nobel Peace Prize and
- 31:56Speaker 1: gave it to Donald Trump. He has it now in
- 31:58Speaker 1: the White House. But who's going to get it? It's
- 32:02Speaker 1: only for left-wingers, only real left-wing people. They're the only
- 32:07Speaker 1: ones eligible for a Nobel Prize. So some think the
- 32:10Speaker 1: new Pope, Pope Leo, is very left-wing. Some people think
- 32:15Speaker 1: Prime Minister Mark Carney of Canada will get it.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Why?
- 32:18Speaker 1: Because he's fighting with Trump. He's a left-wing guy, and
- 32:21Speaker 1: he's a big Trump opponent. Mrs. Navalny, remember Navalny, the
- 32:32Speaker 1: Russian guy that was put in prison? He was a
- 32:34Speaker 1: political opponent. They imprisoned him. They think his wife, the widow,
- 32:38Speaker 1: might get it. Melania Trump is being praised for her
- 32:42Speaker 1: work all over the world. I'm sorry, her name is Trump.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Not eligible. Not eligible. But again, Trump has settled a
- 32:48Speaker 1: number of wars. He got all the hostages back. He
- 32:53Speaker 1: got all the hostages returned. Nobel Prize?
- 32:56Speaker 6: Nope.
- 32:57Speaker 5: Nope.
- 32:58Speaker 1: They gave out the Nobel Prize in Literature today for
- 33:01Speaker 1: a Canadian poet. And you can keep reading about this woman,
- 33:05Speaker 1: trying to figure out what the hell did she do
- 33:06Speaker 1: to get a Nobel. It says she translated the classic
- 33:10Speaker 1: Greek poem. I got a Google translator. I'll do that
- 33:13Speaker 1: for you in half a second. She translated Greek, a
- 33:16Speaker 1: classic Greek poem. You get a Nobel Prize for that?
- 33:20Speaker 4: You're kidding.
- 33:21Speaker 1: You're kidding. Used to call that plagiarism, didn't they? I mean,
- 33:25Speaker 1: you're translating somebody else's work. I'm sure she's a good poet.
- 33:28Speaker 1: I'm sure she's very smart. But Nobel Prize in literature.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Don't be fooled. Hey, you know who has a Nobel Prize?
- 33:34Speaker 1: The world's worst economist. The world's most slanted, biased, one
- 33:39Speaker 1: of the dumbest guys on earth. What's his name? That
- 33:41Speaker 1: bug-eyed weirdo. Paul Krugman. Remember the New York Times economist?
- 33:46Speaker 1: He's famous for one thing as an economist. Everything he's
- 33:49Speaker 1: ever predicted has been wrong. Literally everything he ever predicted.
- 33:52Speaker 1: The opposite happened. He's a complete idiot. Nobel Prize in economy. Hey,
- 33:57Speaker 1: we got a lot coming up. Don't go away. Don't
- 34:00Speaker 1: forget at noon, Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. And then
