- Lucas: Hej och välkommen till Learn Swedish with Fexingo. Jag är Lucas. Luna: Och jag är Luna. Idag ska vi prata om att gå till apoteket. Spännande. Lucas: Yeah, a pharmacy visit can be a bit stressful in a new language. But we'll make it easy. Luna: Good. I've been meaning to learn how to ask for medicine. Let's start with the basics. Lucas: First, you need to find the pharmacy. So the question is: 'Var är apoteket?' Luna: Var är apoteket. Lucas: Good. 'Var' means where, 'är' is is, 'apoteket' the pharmacy. So 'Var är apoteket?' Luna: Var är apoteket. That's clear. Lucas: Now, once you're inside, you might say: 'Jag behöver medicin.' Luna: Jag behöver medicin. I need medicine. Lucas: Exactly. 'Jag' I, 'behöver' need, 'medicin' medicine. So 'Jag behöver medicin.' Luna: Jag behöver medicin. Good. Lucas: If you have a specific issue, like a headache, you can ask: 'Har ni något mot huvudvärk?' Luna: Har ni något mot huvudvärk. Do you have something for headache. Lucas: Right. 'Har ni' do you have, 'något' something, 'mot' for, 'huvudvärk' headache. So 'Har ni något mot huvudvärk?' Luna: Har ni något mot huvudvärk. I like that. Lucas: The pharmacist might give you a prescription or a medicine. They'll tell you how often to take it. The question is: 'Hur ofta ska jag ta den?' Luna: Hur ofta ska jag ta den. How often should I take it. Lucas: Yes. 'Hur ofta' how often, 'ska jag' should I, 'ta' take, 'den' it. 'Hur ofta ska jag ta den?' Luna: Hur ofta ska jag ta den. Got it. Lucas: And if you want something without a prescription, you can say: 'Kan jag få något receptfritt?' Luna: Kan jag få något receptfritt. Can I get something over the counter. Lucas: Perfect. 'Kan jag få' can I get, 'något' something, 'receptfritt' over the counter. 'Kan jag få något receptfritt?' Luna: Kan jag få något receptfritt. That's useful. Lucas: Let's do a quick practice. Imagine you're at the pharmacy. I'm the pharmacist. You come in and say...? Luna: Hej. Var är apoteket? Oh wait, I'm already at the pharmacy. Um... Jag behöver medicin. Lucas: Yes! And I say: Vad har du för symtom? What are your symptoms? Luna: Har ni något mot huvudvärk? Lucas: Ja, vi har paracetamol. Ta en tablett var sjätte timme. Luna: Hur ofta ska jag ta den? Lucas: Var sjätte timme. That's every six hours. And you can get it receptfritt. Luna: Kan jag få något receptfritt? Lucas: Exactly. And I say: Ja, det är receptfritt. So you're all set. Luna: That felt real. I can actually use this. Luna: Hej, har ni något mot huvudvärk? Lucas: Ja, vi har paracetamol. Vill du ha receptfritt? Luna: Ja, tack. Kan jag få något receptfritt? Lucas: Perfect. And how often do you take it? Luna: Hur ofta ska jag ta den? Lucas: Var sjätte timme. Good job. Luna: Tack så mycket. Now I feel ready for my next pharmacy visit. Lucas: That's the goal. We've covered: 'Var är apoteket?', 'Jag behöver medicin.', 'Har ni något mot huvudvärk?', 'Hur ofta ska jag ta den?', and 'Kan jag få något receptfritt?'. Luna: I'll practice these. Tack Lucas. Lucas: Tack själv, Luna. And thank you for listening. Practice these phrases and we'll see you next time. Hej då! Luna: Hej då!
