  It's six Eastern.

Three o'clock Pacific from coast to coast and around the world.

There's a very long list of the fraud waste and abuse that doges identifying.
• 0:12
From America Out Loud Talk Radio.
• 0:14
There's no chance that there's not kickbacks or something going on.

It's time for Truth be told with Booker Scott.
• 0:22
You know, seldom am I permitted to speak at Thanksgiving or Christmas holidays.
• 0:27
  You know why?
• 0:28
Because I love talking about politics, religion, spirituality.
• 0:32
So it's just really better for me to keep my mouth shut.
• 0:35
It's better for everyone if I keep my thoughts to myself during those times.
• 0:40
In a way, it's disappointing that we're unable to respectfully share opinions anymore.
• 0:46
  But that's where we are.
• 0:48
Christmas without an abortion discussion or second amendment rights discussion just doesn't seem the same to me.
• 0:55
  But of course I'm kidding.
• 0:57
Joking aside, those two subjects bring the best and the worst out of people.
• 1:03
The abortion issue, it's been settled by giving it back to the states.
• 1:07
But when it comes to the second amendment, some states make laws that infringe on Americans' rights to bear arms.
• 1:15
  In fringe.
• 1:17
  That's an interesting word.
• 1:19
  It's in the second amendment.
• 1:21
And when I've asked people, what does that mean?
• 1:23
I simply get back, it means shall not be infringed, which I didn't really think that we were permitted to use the word to define a word, but that's really all I ever get from people.
• 1:34
When one questions waiting periods for gun purchases, many say that infringes on the right to own a gun.
• 1:41
Where I may counter or others may counter, it doesn't infringe or prevent you from owning a gun, but only from owning a gun today or tomorrow or until a background check is done.
• 1:54
There is another interesting part of the second amendment rights question that many states have made laws around, and some feel it's a huge infringement.
• 2:03
I'm Booker Scott, and this is the truth be told on America Out Loud Talk Radio.
• 2:08
Tonight is a special program because we're going to go behind prison walls to speak to a New York man who has been sentenced to 10 years in prison in October of 2024 for possessing guns.
• 2:22
  His name is Dexter Taylor.
• 2:24
By all accounts, he's been a law abiding citizen his entire life.
• 2:29
  He's 53 years old now.
• 2:31
  He's a smart guy.
• 2:33
  He taught himself computer code.
• 2:35
He made his living that way for over 30 years.
• 2:38
As a hobby, he made guns.
• 2:40
He bought parts from different suppliers and then would assemble them in his home.
• 2:46
None of his guns were ever used in a crime of any kind.
• 2:51
But New York law prohibits people from possessing guns unless they are registered.
• 2:57
  Is that infringement?
• 2:59
Dexter Taylor's guns were not registered.
• 3:03
They are what's called ghost guns.
• 3:05
  No license, no registration.
• 3:08
Taylor claims he has all the license he needs to make and possess firearms.
• 3:16
And that license is the second amendment to the U.S.
• 3:19
  Constitution.
• 3:20
Tonight we welcome on the program from prison, Dexter Taylor.
• 3:24
  Dexter, welcome to the program.
• 3:27
  Thank you, sir.
• 3:28
  Thanks for having me.
• 3:29
Let's start with your story as we start to tell this story.
• 3:33
First of all, you had a long career in IT.
• 3:36
  You're a smart guy.
• 3:37
And as a hobby, you built guns.
• 3:40
That was your hobby, just to build guns and have them in your house.
• 3:44
And I think you also had some aspirations to possibly make the a living out of this.
• 3:50
Sell guns to the Army or the police.
• 3:52
Am I right on that part of the story?
• 3:55
  That's correct.
• 3:56
I mean, guns were one of my many hobbies.
• 3:59
I mean, uh, by the time all this, you know, happened, I had a long kind of secondary career as a shade free mechanic.
• 4:05
You know, I saw the repairs in my own building.
• 4:08
Um, you know, I make my own furniture.
• 4:10
I taught myself how the weld.
• 4:12
Um, you know, I did plumbing and electrical work and and all this business.
• 4:16
Um, even building a data center in my basement.
• 4:21
Um that, you know, I'm a lifelong geek, put it that way.
• 4:24
  Yeah, a nerd.
• 4:25
  Um exactly.
• 4:27
So um, so in um around 2020, uh, I discovered that uh there were these things called 80% receivers, and people were buying these receivers, machining them to completion, adding parts, and failing firearms.
• 4:44
And I was, of course, fascinated.
• 4:46
Um, I've been fascinated with weapons and you know, firearm and what happens ever since I was a kid.
• 4:51
Uh hey, Dexter, Dexter, do you own any guns?
• 4:55
Did you own any guns besides the ones that you're making?
• 4:58
Are these the first guns you had?
• 5:00
  Okay.
• 5:01
  That's correct.
• 5:02
  Yeah, first firearms ever owned.
• 5:04
Um, so I uh, you know, I went online and and bought legal parts from various suppliers uh in my own name, had them shipped to my own home, and machine blowers to completion and added parts and came up with finished firearms.
• 5:21
Um, and I was completely hooked.
• 5:22
You know, um once I made my first one, it was like this is amazing.
• 5:26
So, yeah, I I built maybe uh five or six Glocksaw pistols, and I built eight very sexy AR rifles.
• 5:34
  Um, you're quite right.
• 5:36
Uh, one of the things I got interested in, especially when I started building rifles was um the engineering problems that come along with designing um and assembling gas operated semi-automatic rifles.
• 5:50
So I started uh trying to trying to uh develop kind of theoretical frameworks um and uh prototype products uh that I hope would kind of launch my second career in weapon science.
• 6:04
So I developed the framework called cyclic energy flow for characterizing the behavior of gas-operated semi-automatic rifles um as circuits, as mass flow circuits that that could perhaps be understood using electrical engineering metaphors.
• 6:18
Um I came up with a system called Osiris open shot registration system.
• 6:23
Um I came up with a system called Ember electronic measurement of power residents, because I came to understand that power resonance is a big problem.
• 6:32
It's often measured using very high speed cameras, but I figured out a way to measure it using dirt sheep electronics and software.
• 6:39
So most of short, uh, this was my new kind of uh new session, if you will.
• 6:45
Uh, and I signed up for Rocket FFL to find out how to do this stuff legally, you know, how to how to go you go about applying for an FFL.
• 6:54
Um I passed a criminal background check to become a member in good standing of my local gun range, uh, website lifeline pistol range in Manhattan.
• 7:04
And um I thought everything was going swimmingly um until the SWAT team showed up.
• 7:09
And then we were off to the races.
• 7:11
And that changed things quite a bit in your life, didn't it?
• 7:14
  At that moment.
• 7:15
The SWAT team shows up one morning, and I believe that was in 2022.
• 7:20
Am I right on that, Dexter?
• 7:22
  That is correct.
• 7:23
  April 5th or 6th of 2022.
• 7:25
  April 2022.
• 7:27
And as I mentioned in the monologue coming into this, that New York has a law that says you have to register and license guns.
• 7:36
And your guns were not registered and licensed, were they?
• 7:41
Well, I mean, this is this is uh as I understand it, uh New York insists that you ask the state for permission before you manufacture firearms in your house.
• 7:51
  Right.
• 7:52
We know that new I've known for a while that New York had um so much stringent uh carry laws in terms of carrying weapons around publicly, but of course, none of my weapons ever left the threshold of my house, right?
• 8:05
So um this is something different.
• 8:07
This is saying this is New York uh essentially saying that you do that you before you manufacture a firearm, uh you have to ask the state for permission.
• 8:19
And the problem with that, of course, is that is that uh if that's the case, it's no longer a right, is it?
• 8:26
  No, it's a privilege.
• 8:28
So I I wasn't aware of any transaction where we where just because of the the the kind of geographical area we live in in the continental US, we've kind of given up our basic rights and uh unaccepted privileges in return.
• 8:43
Like that I missed that part.
• 8:45
  Yeah.
• 8:45
So um that but that's more or less the contention, right?
• 8:49
New York insists that that it um that it must um well, New York insists that the second amendment does not protect their right, but merely a series of privileges that the government of New York is free to extend or revoke uh you know as it as it as it chooses.
• 9:06
I think that the second amendment applies in all 50 states.
• 9:09
I think the supremacy clause in the constitution in the uh constitution is pretty clear.
• 9:15
Um we we we're at odds in that sense.
• 9:20
So and the state are not in quadrant.
• 9:22
You you and the SWAT team were you and the SWAT team were at odds with it too, weren't you?
• 9:27
So New York has strict laws.
• 9:29
Uh New York has strict laws regarding ghost guns, and again, ghost guns are firearms without serial numbers, and they're often uh symboled from kits or 3D print parts.
• 9:40
You hear Dexter say that he put them together by buying parts here and there, whatever.
• 9:45
Uh these weapons, they're illegal in New York, and possessing, selling, or manufacturing them, it says they can lead to serious criminal penalties.
• 9:54
  No kidding.
• 9:55
  Dexter got 10 years.
• 9:56
  That's what he's serving.
• 9:58
The state's regulations align with federal.
• 10:00
Federal guidelines that classified uh that classify unfinished frames and receivers as firearms requiring serial numbers and background checks, which is interesting.
• 10:11
So, Dexter, the SWAT team comes in there, April 2022.
• 10:15
They arrest you, and there your journey starts.
• 10:19
Did you get out of jail after they arrested you, or have you been there since April 2022?
• 10:26
  No, no.
• 10:27
No, I I um well, my bail was almost two or uh was almost a quarter of a million dollars.
• 10:32
So my parents uh put their house up to get me out of jail.
• 10:37
And so I bailed out of Rikers about 10 days after the uh initial arrest.
• 10:42
And by that time, I had already uh found a lawyer.
• 10:45
Uh you know, my my ex-wife has found a lawyer for me.
• 10:49
Um and we were already, you know, discussing strategy and things like that.
• 10:54
But uh so I would I was at liberty uh at that time.
• 10:58
Um I would just I would just like to add that um the uh the federal law that I'm not sure about what what may have been enacted uh during Biden's uh term.
• 11:08
This was after I was I was raided.
• 11:11
But I do know that uh according to the federal government, it is not required to serialize serializing a weapon is not required unless you have made that weapon for the purpose of transferring it or selling it or otherwise moving it or any of the woods for commercial purposes.
• 11:28
  But that's the thing.
• 11:28
I didn't make any of my weapons for commercial purposes.
• 11:31
I didn't sell or transfer or even lend any of my weapons to anyone.
• 11:35
Um and the state of New York knows I didn't because they submitted my email, they teased my devices, they looked at my phone records, um, and so on and so forth.
• 11:45
So they know that I'm looking um that I wasn't doing anything like that.
• 11:50
And by the way, the ATF was also in my house on the day of the rain.
• 11:54
And they looked around and said, well, I'm gonna hear goodbye.
• 11:58
Uh yeah, the ATM looked around and said, nothing is he here.
• 12:01
We haven't heard from them since.
• 12:02
So this is all this is all uh uh New York State.
• 12:06
Not I didn't get any federal charge of us.
• 12:09
And we are talking to Dexter Taylor.
• 12:12
You heard there the recording that said you have one minute left.
• 12:15
Dexter, are you going to need to leave or uh are we going to be able to continue this conversation any one photo call is is is capped at 30 minutes, but I can just drop and come back.
• 12:27
So that's now I'll I'll drop the call and reconnect, and I'll talk to you in a second.
• 12:31
  Okay, it sounds good.
• 12:32
That is part of if you've listened, if you've listened to this program very much, you know that from time to time that uh I have had people from inside prison uh that have uh had uh phone calls with me, and we've had Jake Lang from the DC gulag several times, and we went through this at that time.
• 12:51
So right now I am talking and filibustering until Dexter calls me back.
• 12:56
I want to get into this federal gun law, though.
• 12:58
  He brought it up.
• 12:59
I brought it up as well with the New York law.
• 13:01
Federal gun laws require licensing for certain activities involving firearms, but as Dexter just said, not for individual ownership or concealed carry in general.
• 13:14
Federal law requires licensing for those involved in the business of manufacturing, and that's what Dexter just said.
• 13:22
Importing or dealing firearms is what that deals with.
• 13:26
Individuals are known as federal firearms licensees, and that's what Dexter was talking about.
• 13:34
  He is not that.
• 13:36
He is someone that is doing this for a hobby at this point.
• 13:40
Um, and again, uh additional federal guidelines say there are strictions on who can possess a firearm, such as convicted felons, which we probably all know that, and those adjudicated as mentally defective.
• 13:55
Now, here's some key aspects of federal gun laws and licensing.
• 13:59
A license is required for businesses that manufacture import or deal firearms, and this license is obtained through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, the ATF.
• 14:12
Prohibited persons, federal law prohibits certain categories of individuals from possessing firearms, including convicted felons, fugitives, those under indictment for felonies, unlawful users of controlled substances, individuals adjudicated as mentally defective or committed to mental institutions, illegal aliens, those dishonorably discharged from the military, individuals who have announced their citizenships, and those subject to certain domestic violence restraining orders.
• 14:44
And of course, there are also age restrictions when it comes to guns.
• 14:48
You can own a long gun at 18, but for a pistol, you have to be 21.
• 14:53
So there are some infringements put on the gun owners by the federal laws, but the second amendment, as Dexter says, is his license to carry.
• 15:04
Again, Dexter, he was making guns as a hobby.
• 15:08
He had uh I forget how many when he gets back on the phone, we'll find out.
• 15:12
He had, I think, seven or eight AR type of guns.
• 15:16
And then he had uh seven or eight Glock style pistols, and I believe Dexter is back now.
• 15:21
Dexter, are you back with us?
• 15:24
  Yes, sir.
• 15:25
Okay, so I kind of went through the federal law there.
• 15:28
So let's get back into your story.
• 15:30
You're making these guns for a hobby.
• 15:33
  They're not being used anywhere.
• 15:36
You're not selling them, and nobody uh committed a crime with any of them.
• 15:40
The SWAT team comes in, they pick you up, they take you to jail.
• 15:43
  That happens in April 22.
• 15:45
  You go to court.
• 15:46
  When was your court?
• 15:48
I know that you were, I guess, sentenced in October of 24.
• 15:51
  When was your trial?
• 15:53
My trial was in the early part of uh 2024.
• 15:58
Um I think we started around March or thereabouts.
• 16:03
Um yeah, and I was I was uh you know, we we lost the trial.
• 16:10
We the jury came back with a guilty verdict, and the moment the guilty verdict was rendered, um, I was taken into custody.
• 16:17
I wasn't given a chance to post bail pending sentencing, and so I was I was incarcerated from the moment of uh of sentencing, excuse me, the moment of uh uh conviction until I was sentenced shortly after which I was sent uh upstate.
• 16:33
And you were sentenced to 10 years, is that correct?
• 16:37
  Yes, sir.
• 16:38
Okay, so that's where you are now.
• 16:39
Were you offered a deal at all?
• 16:42
Were you offered a plea deal prior to your trial?
• 16:45
I was offered a few uh plea deals prior to my trial.
• 16:48
Um and I turned the whole of them down.
• 16:51
  Tell me why.
• 16:52
What tell me tell me what one uh tell me what the best deal that you they offered you was.
• 16:57
  What was that best deal?
• 17:00
The best deal was an informal deal that my uh lawyer and people in the prosecutor's office had been discussing when he let me know about, which is three and a half years.
• 17:10
Um they started with with offering me at the time we were looking at something like 18 years if he didn't matter on the charges they had they had uh offered, they had preferred.
• 17:19
Um so uh, you know, they offered me eight years, and I said no.
• 17:25
Um they offered five years, and I of course said no, and you know, the three and a half years, uh, you know, that my lawyer came back and said, hey, they're talking about a three and a half year thing, this and that.
• 17:35
I said, Well, no to that as well.
• 17:37
I mean, I I told my lawyer when he when he and one of his partners came to visit me in Rikers before I bailed out.
• 17:44
Um told him first off was I'm not accepting any plea deals.
• 17:49
  Not at all, not ever.
• 17:51
So he knew uh what the deal was, and he was he was on side with that.
• 17:56
We're listening to Dexter Taylor from inside a prison in New York, where he was convicted of making guns, possessing guns, ghost guns that were not registered or licensed.
• 18:08
And he says his license is the second amendment.
• 18:11
  Maybe you agree with Dexter.
• 18:13
Dexter had plea deals, he did not take them.
• 18:16
You just heard there, he could have gotten three and a half years.
• 18:19
  He ended up with ten.
• 18:20
We're gonna continue this conversation in just a minute.
• 18:23
I have some questions about those plea deals, and if he has any regret now, still sitting in a prison in New York having this phone call with me that you're listening to tonight.

We have a the special guest, Dexter Taylor.
• 21:13
He's sitting in prison in New York.
• 21:14
We're getting through this with this phone call from this prison in New York.
• 21:18
Dexter, I'm so glad you're here.
• 21:20
And I do want to follow up with the plea deal, because I believe if it were me with the opportunity to have three and a half years when I could be looking at what, 15, 18 years as a possibility.
• 21:35
  Yes, sir.
• 21:35
18 years was was if you did the math on the charges, that was what we were looking at originally.
• 21:40
So if I'm sitting there and they said, okay, well, you could get 18 years in prison, or here's a deal for three and a half years.
• 21:49
And by that time, you probably have been in jail a little bit.
• 21:53
There might be some time served.
• 21:54
And uh three and a half years isn't long, it's not terrible.
• 21:58
  But you denied that.
• 22:00
And just before the break, you said that you told your attorney, I'm not taking any deal.
• 22:06
Where did that conviction come from?
• 22:08
Why are you so convicted to uh to go to prison, go to trial, go to prison for 10 years when you could have had three and a half?
• 22:19
Well, uh, that's a good question.
• 22:21
I mean, uh, you know, uh first off, um first off, you know, kind of the part of my backstory that that we didn't talk about is that I've been I've been um I've been a conservative for um well since about 20 maybe 2010 or thereabouts, I started doing conservative uh podcasting online about maybe 2015, 2016.
• 22:49
Um so this is this is something that I thought a lot about.
• 22:56
Um, you know, I used to be on the left, I used to be on board with you know so-called gun control until I found out what the origin of gun control was, and then I realized hey, this is this is this is um this is not righteous.
• 23:10
Um, I understood and I still understand that the Constitution is the law of the land, and it applies or is supposed to apply in all 50 states.
• 23:26
The states get to make their own laws, okay, but those laws are not allowed to contravene the Constitution.
• 23:32
Uh the states also, by the way, get to uh make laws and enforce laws governing you know, public carry of weapons.
• 23:40
And the Supreme Court has spoken on that.
• 23:42
And if the you know, those yeah, yes, state permitting laws within limits are valid, you know, and are constitutional.
• 23:49
But this wasn't a case of me carrying weapons around.
• 23:53
This wasn't a case of the police stopping my car and finding weapons in my car or my person.
• 23:59
  This was my home.
• 24:01
And so to me, uh the you know, the the the question was very stark, right?
• 24:07
The question posed by New York State's actions against me.
• 24:10
  It was very stark.
• 24:11
Does the second amendment protect the right to keep in their arms privately, quietly, peaceably, in your own home as a law-abiding citizen.
• 24:23
And what I thought then and what I think now is if the second amendment doesn't protect at least that right, then it's a dead letter.
• 24:30
  Yeah.
• 24:31
Public carry is a separate question.
• 24:33
But if you can't, if you don't have the right to keep arms in your house, then we might as well pack it up and go home.
• 24:40
  Yeah.
• 24:41
  That's the first thing.
• 24:42
The second reason is that you know, I raised my daughter, I have a teenage daughter.
• 24:46
Um, and I raised my daughter um with well, with my values, I raised her to be conservative like me.
• 24:55
You know, raised her to to love her country with her eyes open.
• 24:59
You know, I raised her to um well, you know, to embody the principle of gratitude first, which I think is a fundamental conservative principle.
• 25:10
Um I raised her to know about these things, to know about the civics behind uh things like the second amendment, what have you, and and um go home and look my daughter in the face and say, well, yes, I know I taught you all these things, but you know, I decided to I decided to uh um to change my mind.
• 25:35
Yeah, and to and to confess uh to being a criminal because standing my ground was inconvenient.
• 25:44
  You understand what I'm saying?
• 25:45
  It's it's it just it doesn't scan.
• 25:47
I mean, my daughter, you know, when I when I bailed out of Rikers that first time after after the initial arrest, you know, one of the things the first things I did after I got home was I went um to my ex-wife's place, picked up my daughter, and we had a long walk, and I told her everything.
• 26:01
And uh, my daughter told me she was proud of me.
• 26:08
She said, Papa, I'm proud of you for fighting these people.
• 26:13
So the New York State isn't gonna, you know, show me uh uh uh uh uh you know dangle a sentence in front of me, okay.
• 26:24
  And um and scare me.
• 26:27
It's not on the table, it's not in the cards.
• 26:30
  The answer is no, right?
• 26:32
Um again, this is very simple.
• 26:35
Uh the the our founding document says that we have certain rights that adhere to us as human beings.
• 26:42
They don't come from the state, right?
• 26:44
The second amendment, just like the other amendments, do not confer these rights on us.
• 26:50
  We already have them.
• 26:52
The special thing about this body of law is that unlike most laws that that tell the citizen what he may or may not do, this body of law tells the state what it may or may not do.
• 27:03
And it says the state may not infringe on or that that is that the state may not interfere with the enjoyment of these rights which we already have.
• 27:18
And that's to me is very simple.
• 27:20
I want to go back to something you said just a second ago.
• 27:22
When I asked you the question about, you know, why wouldn't you take three and a half years?
• 27:28
And then you went in to explain that you have this daughter that you have taught your values to.
• 27:36
And I I don't think many people would do what you did, which is you faced a trial because you knew you had eyes that were looking at you of a child that you had raised to be a certain way, and at all costs, even if it cost you potentially another 14 or 15 years in prison, you were gonna go through what you went through to show that daughter that this is what you do when the government oversteps their their bounds.
• 28:08
  Yes, sir.
• 28:10
  Yes, sir.
• 28:10
This is you know, this is um yes, this it it was and is um important for me.
• 28:21
Uh to show my daughter um well to make it understand what what a man is, what a man is supposed to be, right?
• 28:31
  Interesting.
• 28:32
Um and that we're and we're supposed to stand up for certain things and protect certain things.
• 28:39
Um at all costs, at all costs, right?
• 28:43
  That's basic.
• 28:44
  That's called honor, Dexter.
• 28:47
That's a that's called honor, and not many people have that anymore.
• 28:51
If more people had honor, then this country wouldn't be where we are.
• 28:56
  Is it worth it?
• 28:57
  Was it worth it?
• 28:58
When you heard her say those words, Papa, I'm proud of you after you just came out of Rikers.
• 29:05
Does it make it all worth it for you?
• 29:10
Um I would say it's a it is I wouldn't let me make that question.
• 29:18
  Well, it's a honor.
• 29:19
  One, I wouldn't change anything.
• 29:22
You know, I got to just remind the clock and go back and everything from the moment of the rain.
• 29:29
Okay, the audio quality is really going away right now.
• 29:32
We're gonna see if this clears up because I want to hear what Dexter has to say here.
• 29:36
He I know where he was going, and I want to hear him say this, but as you are listening to this, you know that the audio quality hasn't been spectacular, but it comes and goes, and let's see if we can get him back in here now.
• 29:49
He happens to be in a cell block in a prison.
• 29:51
So it's not the greatest uh uh setup that we have here, but we're trying to bring you this story.
• 29:57
  Go ahead, Dexter.
• 29:58
  I'm sorry for interrupting it.
• 29:59
  It sounds better now.
• 30:01
  That's all right.
• 30:01
Yeah, I just repositioned uh the tablet.
• 30:04
Yeah, so um so we were talking about um about how your daughter felt about was it worth it to you?
• 30:13
Your daughter said I'm proud of you, Pop.
• 30:15
And was it was it worth it?
• 30:16
You could have been out in three and a half years.
• 30:18
  So I'll I'd say this.
• 30:20
It will uh, you know, one, I wouldn't change anything, okay.
• 30:24
  I wouldn't change anything I did.
• 30:26
I wouldn't change my flat refusal to take any plea deal whatsoever.
• 30:30
But the question of is it worth it is a little bit different.
• 30:33
In other words, I think this will have been worth it if it results in New York being compelled to obey the law of the land.
• 30:45
In other words, it I've said this before when I've done interviews and podcasts and so on and so forth.
• 30:51
Um it's only really worth it if it's not only about me.
• 30:56
You know, in other words, like uh like it's not worth it's not worth missing uh Christmas with my daughter.
• 31:05
You know, it's not worth not being able to go on walks with her and and so on and so forth and hang out with her in my recording studio.
• 31:13
It's not worth any of that unless unless it's about something bigger than me.
• 31:19
  Okay.
• 31:19
  So would I change anything?
• 31:22
  No.
• 31:23
  Absolutely not.
• 31:25
  Okay.
• 31:26
But um, it's it's worth it if this type leads to a fundamental change in how uh New York chooses to uh create and enforce laws.
• 31:37
  Let's let's let's talk about that, Dexter.
• 31:39
I want to get into that because I I'm sure that you're going to appeal this uh trial.
• 31:45
You're going to try to probably take this all the way to the Supreme Court because taking it to the Supreme Court could ultimately change New York's laws, which is what really it sounds like you are after here.
• 31:57
  Yes, sir.
• 31:58
  Um, you know.
• 32:00
Uh you know, the the good news is that uh in terms of American jurisprudence and particularly Second Amendment jurisprudence.
• 32:09
The the good news about my case or around my case is that we is that we have is that a new test has been established, right?
• 32:16
But when I say transport, I mean, well, you said before we've agreed that states get to make their own laws, but those laws must not um contravene the Constitution or the Bill of Rights.
• 32:28
Uh the Constitution is the it is supreme.
• 32:31
All judges are bound by it.
• 32:33
  That's the supremacy clause.
• 32:34
  Okay.
• 32:35
Now, in the past, the various states of the union were allowed to use uh a kind of what's sometimes called an interest balancing test to determine whether a law of gun law would be allowed to stand.
• 32:49
Well, yes, we know this law violates the second amendment, but we have a big crime problem.
• 32:57
Yes, we know this law uh uh takes away people's rights or violates people's rights, but there's you know, someone got robbed at some point last week, and we're trying to do this thing.
• 33:07
  Well, okay.
• 33:08
That interest balancing test has been done away with.
• 33:12
That's gone now, thanks to the uh brewing decision uh uh uh rendered by the Supreme Court of the United States.
• 33:20
I think this was in 2022, if I'm not mistaken.
• 33:24
Um the Bruin decision that says among other things that uh the proper tests for whether a state's gun law or gun laws uh must stand or fall, is a very simple one.
• 33:39
A, does this law uh comport with the plain text of the second amendment?
• 33:48
And two, um, is there the does it conform to the history and tradition of the United States?
• 33:55
And that's a very interesting test for us, right?
• 33:58
Because if if you just it's very obvious that that, you know, for a state to say that a person is a felon merely for manufacturing a firearm in his home, but nothing harm in his home.
• 34:09
That is an obvious violation of the plain text of the second amendment.
• 34:13
And you can see also right away that uh it's it's beyond ridiculous to think that we have a history in this country of saying that a person is a felon from manufacturing a weapon in his house from the founding of this republic, maybe even some some some years before that, okay.
• 34:32
Most or all American firearms were created, were manufactured in American homes.
• 34:38
  Yeah.
• 34:38
And that's why, by the way, I don't call them ghost guns, I call them traditional guns because that's what they are.
• 34:43
They're manufactured in the traditional American way inside someone's home.
• 34:47
  Yeah, it's a great point.
• 34:48
Tell us about your court case.
• 34:50
  When will you appeal this?
• 34:53
And again, sorry for the audio.
• 34:55
Uh as you know by now, we are having this discussion with Dexter Taylor.
• 34:59
He is in a prison in New York, and he's been nice enough to come on the program.
• 35:04
  We're almost finished with this.
• 35:05
We're coming up on a break here in a few minutes, but I want to get from Dexter about your court case.
• 35:10
  Where is it now?
• 35:11
  Where's the appeal?
• 35:13
And uh when do you hope to get to the Supreme Court with this?
• 35:17
Oh, uh where right now my legal has already uh uh generated the appeal, they've written the appeal.
• 35:24
Now we have to file it.
• 35:26
Um filing it, like everything else in this process costs money.
• 35:29
So we've been we've been um kind of boosting our fundraising efforts um in the last week so that we can raise enough money to actually file the appeal.
• 35:40
Um once we file that appeal, it's it's uh mostly a process of heart of it away because of course first we have to go through all the the appeals courts in the state of New York, in which we probably won't get any second amendment relief.
• 35:53
  Right, right.
• 35:54
Um and then and then end up in the federal court system where we may get some relief, but may have to go to the Supreme Court.
• 36:00
Um I will add that we might get some uh relief in state courts, state appeals courts, uh based on kind of the uh well, the the numerous irregularities in my trial.
• 36:12
Let's let's put it that way.
• 36:14
  All right.
• 36:15
Um we might get some relief on that basis, but not on not on the two-way basis.
• 36:18
So that's that's the legal strategy.
• 36:20
Our political strategy is just to keep making more and more noise about this, to keep uh alerting more and more people to what's happening, um, and and eventually become a big enough political embarrassment that we might get some relief in some uh some other way.
• 36:35
For example, the BOJ taking New York State to court, which would be which would be uh peachy in my opinion.
• 36:43
Well, uh, you said you need some help on trying to get some money to get these appeals filed.
• 36:49
Would you tell people where they can go to help you on that?
• 36:53
  Sure.
• 36:53
Um my uh go, it's called I think the name of the gifts and go is called Dexter Taylor two-way legal.
• 37:06
Uh if you're on Twitter, um there is a um uh yeah, my Twitter ID is future radio cast.
• 37:14
Um, and on my Twitter page, there's a link to the gifts and go.
• 37:19
Um I have a link tree that's called uh I believe the name of this Carbon Mike.
• 37:27
If people use Link Tree, they can they can search for that.
• 37:30
Um should be a picture of me on the link tree or a picture of my insignia, my microphone insignia.
• 37:36
Um, because again, that's when I did the you know uh conservative media as carbon mic, and um there should be a link to the gifts and go uh entry as well.
• 37:47
Um, Dexter, thank you so much for doing this.
• 37:51
I appreciate you coming on the program.
• 37:53
  We wish you well.
• 37:54
You said your mom likes to listen to conservative right side uh broadcast and program.
• 38:00
So I hope you get this to her and let her listen to you on here.
• 38:04
But Dexter, thank you so much.
• 38:05
  Hang in there.
• 38:06
Good luck with the appeals, and hopefully, for the sake of you and your daughter, you get some relief, and you get back home and you can watch her grow and have Christmas with her.
• 38:16
  Thank you, sir.
• 38:17
  Really appreciate it.
• 38:18
  Take care.

• 40:14
That Dexter Taylor story is very interesting.
• 40:17
The guy had very strong convictions.
• 40:20
I I think I would have taken a three and a half year deal if I was up against 18 years.
• 40:26
So it really speaks to him and what type of man he is, I believe.
• 40:30
It was so important for him for his daughter to see that he stood against government when he feels that they have overstepped their bounds.
• 40:41
What do you think about that?
• 40:42
I would I would love to hear your thoughts on it.
• 40:45
  What would you do?
• 40:46
Would you take the three and a half years or would you be there for 10 years?
• 40:50
Would you take the plea deal if you believe so strongly in something?
• 40:54
It's an interesting interesting uh subject to think about.
• 40:59
And the other part of that is what do you think about the ghost guns?
• 41:01
Do you believe that that is actually infringing on the second amendment?
• 41:06
When uh state makes a law that is different than the second amendment, as Dexter says, he thinks that his license to carry a gun is the second amendment, and the state has taken away that right and overstepped their bounds.
• 41:19
  It's an interesting subject.
• 41:20
  It really is.
• 41:21

• 41:54
This segment is the Schiff segment.
• 41:57
Adam Schiff, the senator from California, who used to be in the House of Representatives, was on the J6 committee, obviously.
• 42:05
And most people know what he did during the Russian collusion hoax.
• 42:09
He was coming out of meetings almost daily, getting in front of the cameras and say he would say that there was uh clear evidence.
• 42:18
The evidence was plain and simple.
• 42:19
It was easy to see that Donald Trump colluded with Russia, and we know that that was not the case.
• 42:26
It wasn't the case back then.
• 42:27
  It isn't the case now.
• 42:29
We're seeing the information coming out from Tulsi Gabbard, the DNI, who has now referred this to the DOJ.
• 42:36
The DOJ is opening investigations, and Adam Schiff is one of those that uh is in their crosshairs and for good reason, I would say.
• 42:45
  He was pardoned.
• 42:47
Everybody on the J 6 committee was pardoned, and then that makes me wonder does that pardon would it include the things that he is being investigated for now?
• 42:57
And those things would be the Russian collusion hoax.
• 43:01
  I mean I'm not sure.
• 43:02
I don't know how that works really on that pardon if it was just for January 6th, or if these other things like the mortgage fraud that he's also being investigated for.
• 43:13
Let's go to John Solomon, who has done an incredible job reporting on this.
• 43:17
Let's listen to what he had to say to Steve Bannon about the information that's coming out about Adam Schiff because someone who worked for him, who worked for him in the House of Representatives, a staffer, went to the FBI multiple times to tell them that Adam Schiff was releasing leaking classified information to the press.
• 43:38
And that continued to propagate the lie that was the Russian collusion hoax.
• 43:44
Here is John Solomon of just the news.
• 43:47
The FBI has known since 2017 that Adam Schiff uh uh was accused of leaking classified information by one of his own staffers, a longtime Democrat staffer on the House Intelligence Committee went to the FBI four times between 2017 and 2023 to say that Adam Schiff, starting when he was ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, leaked classified information.
• 44:10
In fact, he was uh in a meeting.
• 44:13
He was in a meeting where uh Schiff authorized the leak of information.
• 44:17
Obviously, Schiff wouldn't do it himself.
• 44:18
He'd asked some of his people downstream from him.
• 44:21
That staffer told the FBI he considered Schiff's instructions to be illegal, unethical, and treasonous.
• 44:29
And that's what many people are saying now that this is treason.
• 44:32
So does the pardon that Joe Biden gave him with the autopin, by the way, it was an auto pen.
• 44:38
  It wasn't Joe Biden.
• 44:39
Joe Biden probably didn't even know what he was signing or having someone sign.
• 44:44
  He said that he did.
• 44:46
He knew all of them, he said, but I doubt that that's the case at all.
• 44:50
Someone was behind the scenes using the auto pen to give Adam Schiff and everybody on the J6 committee a pardon.
• 44:58
I don't know that treason would be included in that pardon.
• 45:02
And does this rise to treason as John Solomon says?
• 45:06
  I'm not sure.
• 45:08
But Adam Schiff is uh he's up to his eyeballs in this right now.
• 45:12
Despite having four interviews with this gentleman and getting very specific information from the way, he was a career national security officer who got assigned to the House Intelligence Committee.
• 45:23
He leaned Democrat, he was a Democrat by self-identification.
• 45:26
  The FBI did nothing.
• 45:28
And I think that that is well, you how many times did we hear, oh, we're taking these leagues seriously?
• 45:33
We can't run them down in this case.
• 45:35
  They ran it down.
• 45:36
They could show from an eyewitness that Adam Schiff had approved the classified leaks.
• 45:41
They chose uh the Justice Department chose not to bring a prosecution.
• 45:46
And that would have been the Justice Department of Bill Barr, Donald Trump's Justice Department, because this goes back to 2017 and 18.
• 45:55
It was that department that decided not to do anything with Adam Schiff releasing all of the classified information that he allegedly has released.
• 46:06
The result of that was that the press made the Russian collusion hoax a reality for most of America.
• 46:12
And to this day, so many people still believe that it is true.
• 46:16
I would put that number at 40, 50 percent still, because so many people are not Uber political.
• 46:23
They're not plugged into the news like we are.
• 46:26
You're listening to this program, I'm doing this program, so we know what's happening, we know what has happened, but so many people don't.
• 46:34
And I would tell you that's one another reason to share these shows, share the information that is on America Out Loud Talk Radio and Talk News.
• 46:42
You can go to AmericaOut Loud.news to do that and find all types of shows that bring you the truth, and that's what you we need help on doing is is get these shows out to people so that they hear the truth because so many people in America still believe this Russian collusion hoax because Adam Schiff ran around uh releasing classified information that uh was only to uh you know extend his narrative, the narrative that he wanted.
• 47:11
  And is this treason?
• 47:12
The other part about this that I think about is uh Christopher Ray, the FBI director.
• 47:18
When he was asked, uh, you know, can you can you give us some information?
• 47:22
Can we want information on this?
• 47:25
And Christopher Ray says you have everything.
• 47:27
  He said it multiple times.
• 47:29
The FBI was withholding information, and obviously they were the ones that changed the assessment to begin with back to 2016 into 2017.
• 47:40
That was the intelligence community assessment that was done December 8th.
• 47:45
Obama said, let's change it, and where it looks like it's Russian and uh Trump having collusion together, and then they came back in January 2017, just before Trump took office, and that is what the assessment said.
• 47:59
So that's what happened there, and the FBI is the one that changed their part of the assessment by direction from James Clapper and John Brennan, and that's where all of this investigation is going.
• 48:11
In the middle of that sits Adam Schiff.
• 48:14
Not only does this get Adam Schiff in uh uh some trouble up to his eyeballs, but also his mortgage.
• 48:22
He has uh a primary residence, according to Bill Poulty, and Poulty referred uh Schiff and also Letitia James for criminal referral to the Department of Justice and Pam Bondi over the application.
• 48:36
  So it's a fraud.
• 48:38
Adam Schiff allegedly, according to Poulty, he says that he has a primary residence in California, so he can be a senator from the state.
• 48:47
He would have to be that.
• 48:48
You know, you can't live in California and uh and live somewhere else as a primary residence and represent the people of California, and that's what has happened here, because he bought a house in another state near Washington, D.C.
• 49:00
And on that application, according to Fulti, he says that he was this would be his primary resident.
• 49:07
And uh just like Letitia James, that gets you a lower interest rate, lower down payment, a favorable loan compared to a second home, which requires more down payment and a higher interest rate.
• 49:19
So he by lying and committing the fraud on an application, and I don't know that the uh the the pardon that Biden gave him is gonna cover him on this.
• 49:30
We'll have to see how this investigation goes.
• 49:33
In the middle of all of this, Adam Schiff continues to be Adam Schiff.
• 49:37
It doesn't matter what they're investigating, he continues to run his mouth, and he was doing it on Tuesday.
• 49:44
  Here's Adam Schiff.
• 49:45
So you're probably tracking this, but Texas wants to gerrymander their maps again.
• 49:49
  Do a mid decade.
• 49:51
So you're probably tracking this, but Texas wants to gerrymander their maps again, do a mid decade reapportionment, and why?
• 49:58
  Because Donald Trump is.
• 50:00
Terrified, he's going to lose the majority in the House of Representatives.
• 50:03
And they're going to lose it because of that big, ugly bill that massively cut health care for millions of people.
• 50:08
That's going to dramatically raise health insurance premiums, the food they took from hungry families, the tax cuts they're given to Richard.
• 50:16
Listen to the fear that he creates and the lies that he continues to tell.
• 50:20
It is time for Adam Schiff to be held accountable for his lies.
• 50:25
Finally, he needs to be held accountable.
• 50:27
He's doing the same thing here that he did for the last eight to ten years.
• 50:32
He wanted to be CIA director.
• 50:35
That's that's what this was about.
• 50:37
He thought he was going to be the CIA director if Hillary Clinton won.
• 50:42
So he was going to do everything he could to help her win.
• 50:45
And then he did everything he possibly could to discredit Donald Trump.
• 50:49
  Here's Adam Schiff.
• 50:56
So we will have to go forward.
• 50:58
I hope at the end of this that we have a national redistricting reform that ends the gerrymander all across the country that would simply require an active Congress.
• 51:09
We should have done it during the first two years of the Biden administration, and we damn well are going to need to get it done.
• 51:14
No, we shouldn't, because we are a republic.
• 51:17
We are not a big nation.
• 51:20
  We have independent states.
• 51:22
We have 50 states, and according to the Constitution, our elections are run by states, not by the federal government.
• 51:29
And so Adam Schiff is using what's happening in Texas, with, by the way, Beto Aurorque is back in the news.
• 51:35
  Did you see this?
• 51:37
Attorney General Ken Paxton may be going after him to arrest him because he is again trying to raise money.
• 51:45
  He's not supposed to.
• 51:46
But that's what he's using, what's going on in Texas with the Democrats fleeing the state, not creating a quorum so that they can uh gerrymander is what they're doing.
• 51:55
They're going to get back some seats.
• 51:58
  Eventually they will.
• 51:58
The Democrats are going to have to come back.
• 52:00
They can't stay in California or Illinois or wherever they're fleeing to.
• 52:05
  They can't do that forever.
• 52:06
As Matt Palumbo said on Monday, it's not a great paying job to be in the state house or state assembly or state senator.
• 52:14
  It's basically a part-time job.
• 52:16
You have to have a full-time job, and these people have been out of the state for a while.
• 52:20
I'm not sure who's paying them.
• 52:22
  Somebody's paying them.
• 52:23
They have to be paying them.
• 52:24
That may be the story in all of this.
• 52:27
  Who's who's behind that?
• 52:28
  Is that Soros, Pritzker?
• 52:30
Who's paying for them to not go to work?
• 52:34
And also possibly face jail time.
• 52:36
They must be getting paid pretty well.
• 52:38
I wouldn't do that unless I was getting paid well.
• 52:41
I I wouldn't do it anyway, but I it would take a lot of money, I would think, to get someone to do this.
• 52:54
Every two to four years he's running for an office.
• 52:56
That's what he does for a living.
• 52:58
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Donald Trump, as we expected, he says we're going to clean up Washington, D.C.
• 53:05
  Crime is out of control.
• 53:06
And the left is saying, well, actually, it's down.
• 53:10
  That's only violent murders.
• 53:12
There have been 170 this year compared to 183.
• 53:16
So you're down 13 dead people.
• 53:19
That's not necessarily saying that violent crime is down because it isn't.
• 53:24
There was a press conference where Donald Trump talked about bringing in the National Guard to clean up Washington, D.C.
• 53:31
  The U.S.
• 53:31
  attorney, the new U.S.
• 53:33
attorney, Judge Piero, was there, and here's what she had to say.
• 53:37
Here are the individuals who were shot and killed under the age of 20, all teenagers in 2025.
• 53:49
And the number here is 16.
• 53:52
  Again.
• 53:54
All members of the minority community here.
• 53:57
I don't know how many of these cases have been solved, but what I can tell you is again, it's guns on the streets.
• 54:06
It's individuals who are not concerned about accountability, who don't have any reason to fear law enforcement.
• 54:16
I am here today to tell you that on behalf of all of these victims, all of these families, that they're going to be accountable, that we are going to make a difference, and that we are going to make sure that law enforcement is focused on these innocent, now silent victims of crime in the district.
• 54:37
  And hopefully, Washington, D.C.
• 54:39
  can be cleaned up.
• 54:41
  It should be cleaned up.
• 54:42
My daughter is going to take a field trip there next spring.
• 54:45
As a parent, you worry about your kids going to Washington, D.C., and it shouldn't be that way.
• 54:49
We should have complete confidence that our nation's capital is safe, and it hasn't been for a long time.
• 54:56
And this goes back way before Biden.
• 54:59
  Washington, D.C.
• 55:00
has not been safe for a long time.
• 55:02
So it's not necessarily political, other than the people that run Washington, D.C.
• 55:07
have been careless with their laws and enforcement of them.
• 55:10
And I think that is the problem.
• 55:13
And then you also have the socioeconomic problem of Washington, D.C., which is a whole other story.
• 55:19
  But hopefully, Washington, D.C.
• 55:21
is going to get cleaned up.
• 55:22
That would be the hope here.
• 55:23
And I really have confidence that Donald Trump and his administration is going to do just that.
• 55:28
I have no doubt about it.
• 55:30
Everything that Donald Trump has been doing seems to be having success.
• 55:34
July numbers came out for inflation.
• 55:36
They were low again at about 2.7%.
• 55:40
That means that the tariffs, which have generated about 200 billion dollars, they're not causing inflation.
• 55:46
  The tariffs aren't.
• 55:48
Everybody said that that was going to cause inflation.
• 55:51
  That hasn't happened yet.
• 55:53
For three months in a row now, there have been zero illegal immigrants allowed into the country.
• 55:59
  Zero.
• 56:00
Zero have checked in and been allowed into the country.
• 56:03
That's an amazing stat that the Trump administration has done.
• 56:07
They are continuing to deport illegal immigrants.
• 56:11
That is what the American people voted for.
• 56:13
That was the mandate that Donald Trump took to the White House in January, and so far he's done a great job with it.
• 56:20
  I'm Booker Scott.
• 56:22
Thank you so much for joining us here tonight and every night.
• 56:25
Don't forget, you were told two thousand years ago that you are the salt of the earth.
• 56:29
And salt without flavor has no value.
• 56:31
So whatever you do, keep being salty.
• 56:34
  Unleashed the political news hour.
• 56:36
  It starts next.
• 56:37
  Have a great night.
