to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. — Hebrews 12:24The blood of Jesus speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. Abel's blood cried out for vengeance from the ground; Christ's blood cries out for mercy. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. He was slain from the foundation of the world, and His one offering has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
