Romeo In The Morning 4-30-26 · Romeo & Friends

• 0:00
Speaker 1: That was going on.
• 0:00
Speaker 2: It's Romeo. What did we talk about today? We're Thursday,
• 0:02
We're almost to the weekend. We got into the NBA
• 0:05
a little bit about why I just I can't watch
• 0:07
  it anymore.
• 0:08
  Speaker 1: I try, but I can't.
• 0:09
Speaker 2: We talked about relationships with Michael Bean and then of
• 0:11
  course embarrassing yourself.
• 0:12
Speaker 1: What was your embarrassing moment? Let's get go on. How
• 0:15
did you send me here already?
• 0:16
  Speaker 3: Four?
• 0:17
Speaker 2: Two, five, four or seven to seven? Hey, rome can
• 0:20
you help me understand this? Yesterday I'm at work. My
• 0:23
wife calls me from her job talking about what a
• 0:25
rough day she's having, how hard it's been, she's tired,
• 0:28
  she's frustrated.
• 0:30
Speaker 1: So I take off work a little bit early.
• 0:33
Speaker 2: You know what, I will say this, Sometimes there's too
• 0:37
much and I haven't finished reading this, but I'm Sometimes
• 0:40
there's too much communication. If you were at work and
• 0:43
you get a call from your spouse telling you how
• 0:45
messed up their day is, and you're trying to get
• 0:48
through your day, how you're supposed to handle that anyway?
• 0:53
So okay, I go pick up dinner for us and
• 0:56
the kids so she doesn't have to do anything. When
• 0:59
she gets home. She shows up I got dinner ready.
• 1:03
She's mad at me. She had pulled out some meat
• 1:05
that she was gonna cook. So now I'm the bad
• 1:08
guy for getting dinner and ruining her dinner plans.
• 1:12
Speaker 1: I was just trying to help her out.
• 1:13
  Speaker 3: Room.
• 1:14
Speaker 1: Was I wrong? No, I know you're not wrong. I mean,
• 1:19
  why would you be wrong.
• 1:20
Speaker 2: She's talking about what a rough day she's having, how
• 1:23
she's frustrated and blah blah blah, and so you try
• 1:27
to do what you can to help.
• 1:29
Speaker 1: You know, I'm gonna give this guy credit, because you.
• 1:34
Speaker 2: Know how women always get mad when you try to
• 1:36
  solve their problems for them.
• 1:38
Speaker 1: He could have just as easily.
• 1:41
Speaker 2: Tried to solve her rough day at work with whatever
• 1:44
she was frustrated with at her job. But instead he
• 1:47
just said, you know what, let me go hand her
• 1:49
dinner for us and the kids so that she has
• 1:52
one lesson thing to deal with, and then she comes
• 1:54
home mad at you. No, you didn't do anything wrong.
• 1:58
She was just being in jackass. I mean, she just
• 2:01
took out her rough day on you. And I'll be
• 2:04
honest with you. If I were you, I would never
• 2:06
make dinner again. I would never buy dinner again. I
• 2:08
would never make dinner again. She should have kept her
• 2:11
mouth shut, put the meat and refrigerator, and just enjoyed
• 2:14
the fact that you tried to do something to lessen
• 2:18
  the stress of her day.
• 2:20
Speaker 1: Is what you should have is what she should have done.
• 2:22
Speaker 2: So no, she was one hundred percent wrong, And I'm
• 2:26
just telling you I would never help her out again,
• 2:29
just for the mere fact that she did that to you.
• 2:32
Speaker 1: All right, two for seven to seven. I send me this.
• 2:35
Speaker 2: I thought it was kind of funny, he said, Abraham.
• 2:38
I was hoping you can help me understand. So yesterday
• 2:40
I'm at work. My wife calls me from her job
• 2:43
talking about what a rough day she's having, how hard
• 2:45
it is, she's tired, she's frustrated.
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: So I take a I get off.
• 2:48
Speaker 2: Work a little bit early to go pick up dinner
• 2:50
for us and the kids so she doesn't have to
• 2:52
  do anything.
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: When she gets.
• 2:54
Speaker 2: Home, she's mad. She's mad at me. She had pulled
• 2:57
out some meat that she was gonna cook. So now
• 2:59
I'm the bad guy for getting dinner and ruining her
• 3:02
  dinner plans.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: I was just trying to help rome. Was I wrong? No,
• 3:06
you weren't wrong. Of course you're not wrong.
• 3:09
Speaker 2: How'd you be wrong for trying to help I'm like
• 3:12
that meat can't sit one more day. But you pull
• 3:14
out something you can't have it? Would you happened yesterday
• 3:18
when you can't have it today? I mean, what, why
• 3:23
  would you be wrong?
• 3:25
Speaker 1: Already? Four two, four, seven to seven?
• 3:28
Speaker 2: Hey, Romeo, tell that guy he has to understand what
• 3:32
his wife is doing as a mother of two and
• 3:37
a wife. When I get home, I have dinner plans
• 3:40
ready to go. So when I pull out food to
• 3:43
make when I get home for everybody, it is frustrating
• 3:47
  when nobody wants.
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: To eat it.
• 3:49
Speaker 2: Well, he didn't say nobody wanted to eat it. He
• 3:51
just said he was trying to help her out so
• 3:53
she didn't have to cook, so he provided dinner. What
• 3:57
is wrong with you cannot honestly sit here and say
• 4:00
that this guy was wrong for trying to make his
• 4:03
wife's day a little easier. He can't be that dumb.
• 4:07
There's no way in hell. I mean, that's just her
• 4:10
being a jackass. She had a rough day at work,
• 4:12
came home, took it out on him.
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: That's all.
• 4:14
  Speaker 3: It was.
• 4:15
Speaker 1: Thirty four, two, five, four or seven to seven?
• 4:17
  Speaker 4: All right?
• 4:18
Speaker 2: This is just too funny man. I mean, the guy
• 4:21
says that. This is what the guy sent me.
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: He said.
• 4:24
Speaker 2: He says his wife called him right at work yesterday
• 4:27
and she was talking about her job. It was she
• 4:30
was having a rough day, she was frustrated, she was tired.
• 4:33
Speaker 1: So I guess he got off.
• 4:34
Speaker 2: Work early, so he was gonna pick up dinner for everybody,
• 4:38
for the kids and everybody, so she didn't have to
• 4:40
do dinner. And when she gets home, she sews up
• 4:42
for dinner. She sews up. I got dinner ready already.
• 4:46
She's mad at me. She pulled out some meat that
• 4:49
she was gonna cook. So now I'm a bad guy
• 4:51
for getting dinner and ruining her plans. I was just
• 4:55
trying to help out Roam. What do you think was
• 4:57
  I wrong for that?
• 4:58
Speaker 1: No, you weren't wrong.
• 4:59
Speaker 2: She was just being jackass. I mean, there's no other
• 5:03
way to say it. Already four two pop four seven
• 5:07
to seven. Hey, Rome, that's why these women in Bakersfield
• 5:11
can't find a good man, and they're always complaining that
• 5:14
good men don't exist, because when a guy does something
• 5:17
for him like that, they got to get pissed off
• 5:21
because it wasn't their way. Well, I don't know if
• 5:25
that's true, but yeah, I mean, obviously she had a
• 5:31
bad day at work, so she went and took it
• 5:35
out on her family on Her husband called him at
• 5:38
worked to complain, but then when he tried to do
• 5:40
something nice for her to make her day easier, she
• 5:43
  got mad at him.
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: Bro, I hope she's a good woman.
• 5:47
Speaker 2: I don't know what to tell you already, four two
• 5:49
pop four seven to seven. Hey, Rome, Hey, Rome, it
• 5:55
is his fault if his wife had plans for dinner already,
• 5:59
he called her and asked her if it was okay
• 6:03
for him to do that so it didn't mess up
• 6:06
what she had going on at home. No, that's just stupid.
• 6:12
That's ridiculous. That's ridiculous. Maybe maybe you're right. That's why
• 6:17
these women in Bakersfield are always complaining they can't find
• 6:20
a good man, because when a good man does good
• 6:22
stuff for him, they act like jackasses. Maybe you're right
• 6:26
already four two five four seven to seven.
• 6:29
Speaker 1: So check out what.
• 6:30
Speaker 2: Happened to this dude, This poor guy man. I feel
• 6:32
bad for him. I hope his wife doesn't treat him
• 6:34
like this all the time. He says, Rome, maybe you
• 6:39
can help me out help me understand what this. Yesterday
• 6:43
I'm at work, my wife calls me her job from
• 6:45
her job, talking about what's what a rough day she's having,
• 6:49
how hard it's been, She's tired, she's frustrated.
• 6:51
Speaker 1: So I take off work.
• 6:52
Speaker 2: A little bit early, pick up dinner for us and
• 6:53
the kids so she doesn't have to do anything. When
• 6:56
she gets home, she's dinner's ready. She's at me. She
• 7:00
had to, she says, she pulled out some meat that
• 7:03
  was she was gonna cook.
• 7:04
Speaker 1: So now I'm the bad guy. I ruined her dinner plans.
• 7:09
Speaker 2: Well, did you really or is she just trying to
• 7:12
be a jackass and take out her bad day on you?
• 7:15
Because it's like what that me, can't sit one more day,
• 7:19
  can't make it today?
• 7:20
Speaker 1: I mean, what is it bad? And who cares? You know?
• 7:24
Speaker 2: Sometimes I'm just gonna tell you this, Sometimes when somebody
• 7:28
does something for you, you need to just shut up
• 7:31
and be appreciative. Okay, Sometimes you need to just say
• 7:35
thank you and go about your day, not good, not
• 7:40
be mad because you had something else. Obviously your husband
• 7:44
did not know that, so all you had to do
• 7:48
was not say anything, be appreciative, and make the make
• 7:53
  whatever you're gonna do today.
• 7:54
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 7:56
Speaker 2: People do that all the time. They do it with
• 7:57
flowers a lot. Hear these people. Oh they're flowers. You
• 8:00
bought me flowers, or they're just gonna die. Or people
• 8:03
do stuff your spouse. You do stuff for your spouse,
• 8:07
and instead of just being appreciative, they have to make
• 8:10
some snide remark about it already four two five four
• 8:13
or seven to seven, Yo, Rome, I agree with you, Rome,
• 8:16
appreciate it, Yo, Rome. But sheick had a rough day
• 8:19
at work because her work husband didn't bring her coffee
• 8:22
  and donuts.
• 8:23
  Speaker 1: She's just selfish.
• 8:26
Speaker 2: Yeah, Bro, I would have been uh yeah, I poor guy.
• 8:30
I feel bad for you, Bro, I mean, I really do.
• 8:32
Your wife was just being a jerk, you know. I
• 8:35
hope she's not always like that. Hopefully this is just
• 8:39
I'm hoping, because you asked me about it, that this
• 8:42
is just an odd day, you know, an off day,
• 8:45
that this is not a regular occurrence. Because if it is, Bro,
• 8:48
you got to get a new wife. I mean, and
• 8:53
I would tell you again, don't ever in your life
• 8:56
make dinner, buy dinner for her ever, ever, try to
• 9:00
help her out again. If she's going to treat you
• 9:02
like that. I was telling me that his wife called
• 9:05
him at work and she apparently if she's having a
• 9:08
rough day, she was tired, frustrated. So he thought he'd
• 9:11
tried to help out him a little bit. He gets
• 9:13
off work a little bit early, goes and picks up
• 9:15
dinner for the kids and everybody, and.
• 9:17
Speaker 1: Apparently when she got home she was mad about it.
• 9:20
Speaker 2: Excuse me, she was mad because she had pulled out
• 9:23
some meat, but she was gonna cook.
• 9:24
Speaker 1: Which how old is your wife, by the way, who
• 9:27
  pulls out meat every day?
• 9:28
  Speaker 4: That's just weird.
• 9:29
Speaker 2: I don't mean people still did that, but okay, So
• 9:33
he was just asking me what I thought about it.
• 9:35
Speaker 1: He was just trying to help out and be nice,
• 9:36
and apparently, you know what, I.
• 9:38
Speaker 2: Think that she had a rough day, and I think
• 9:41
that she took it out on you, And I think
• 9:44
that's terrible. Already four two five, four or seven to seven, Hi, rom,
• 9:51
I think you're right. I think she just had a
• 9:53
rough day and took it out on her husband. That's
• 9:57
unfortunate that women act like that. It I used to
• 10:01
do that with my husband when he was just trying
• 10:04
to help me. It took me a little while, but
• 10:06
I finally learned just to kind of just to kind
• 10:10
  of understand what he's doing.
• 10:13
  Speaker 3: Well.
• 10:14
Speaker 2: Is trying to help you wrong? That text message kind
• 10:17
of made it sound like trying to.
• 10:18
Speaker 1: Help you was wrong? Can you help in the wrong
• 10:21
  way like that?
• 10:22
Speaker 2: I guess already for two four or seven to seven. Hey, Rome,
• 10:26
we're looking at it from his perspective. What about her side?
• 10:30
Is it always up to her to cook dinner? Or
• 10:33
does he cook dinner as much as she does?
• 10:36
  Speaker 5: Well?
• 10:36
Speaker 2: I mean it's a fair question. But to be honest
• 10:40
with you, what are you doing? What are you providing
• 10:42
in the relationship? If one person is going to work
• 10:47
every day. What if you flipped it the other way?
• 10:49
What if you said, she goes to work and provides
• 10:52
one hundred percent of the income and all she wants
• 10:56
is to have dinner when she gets home. I don't
• 11:00
think any of you would argue that he needs to
• 11:02
participate in the household. I mean, if if you flip
• 11:05
the if you if you looked at it from a
• 11:07
different perspective and flip the gender roles as so to speak,
• 11:11
or flip the who was doing what? You would say
• 11:14
  he should cook every night?
• 11:16
  Speaker 4: Right?
• 11:20
Speaker 2: But you know what, are you supposed to do? I mean,
• 11:24
you're right, I mean you're right when you say it.
• 11:26
But is he supposed to cook as much? Is he
• 11:28
supposed to go to work all day and provide one
• 11:31
hundred percent of the income and then come home and
• 11:34
do just as much work around the house as she does?
• 11:40
Speaker 1: Is that what's supposed to happen? All right? So here
• 11:43
  we go.
• 11:43
Speaker 2: Scarlett is back from the Ronald McDonald house, and a
• 11:46
val is here for the American Car Show trucks and bikes.
• 11:49
They do it every single year. Good morning, guys, what's
• 11:53
  going on?
• 11:53
  Speaker 4: Good morning?
• 11:54
Speaker 1: Thanks for opening the door and letting me in.
• 11:57
Speaker 2: Okay, So let's talk about the car show value.
• 12:01
Speaker 1: You do it every year.
• 12:02
Speaker 2: The proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald house. It's the
• 12:05
more parts of Bakersfield. And tell everybody what it is.
• 12:08
Speaker 6: Yes, it's what's on our seventeenth year with the Ronald
• 12:11
McDonald house. We're at the Kowa on Wible Road right
• 12:14
there at the Autumn Hall, same place we've been for,
• 12:16
as I say, our seventeenth year, coming and we invite
• 12:21
all make and models of cars.
• 12:23
Speaker 4: Gates open at seven o'clock for cars. Spectators can come
• 12:27
  in at ten.
• 12:28
Speaker 6: There's free parking on the street on Wible all the
• 12:30
way up and down both sides, so you won't be
• 12:32
able to park inside the campgrounds, which you can park
• 12:34
out there free and it's free entrance, and we'll have
• 12:38
lots of custom cars, motorcycles, everything you can think of.
• 12:42
Speaker 1: Every year, it's going on May ninth.
• 12:44
Speaker 2: I believe that's a Saturday, right, yes, sir so val
• 12:48
Can people still sign up with the car show?
• 12:50
Speaker 1: Are you filled up?
• 12:51
  Speaker 5: No?
• 12:51
Speaker 6: You can sign up online, go on more parts of Bakersfield.
• 12:54
There's a website on there you can do. We have
• 12:57
a que code now you can use if you want
• 12:59
to enter that way, or you can print and mail
• 13:02
it to me or bring it down the day of
• 13:04
the show. It's thirty five dollars in advance day of
• 13:07
show forty dollars. And again it's all for Ronald McDonald house,
• 13:10
so the increasing cost is minimum.
• 13:13
Speaker 2: You guys have given over three hundred thousand dollars over
• 13:15
  the years.
• 13:16
Speaker 4: We're actually approaching four hundred.
• 13:18
Speaker 1: Really, that's very impressive.
• 13:20
Speaker 7: So you can come out and celebrate my birthday next week.
• 13:23
Speaker 1: Is that when it's all your birthdays next week? It is, well,
• 13:25
  that's awesome.
• 13:26
Speaker 7: This is the third time I've celebrated in all the years.
• 13:28
Speaker 1: Out there, Am I somebody going to bring a cake
• 13:30
  or something, I'm I don't really care.
• 13:35
Speaker 7: Somehow, but no, it's just so special that you know,
• 13:38
one hundred percent of the proceeds from this event obviously
• 13:42
go back to the Ronald McDonald House. The club doesn't
• 13:43
keep any of it, and it you know, to think
• 13:47
it's a car club, it's not a huge business. And
• 13:50
the more parts of biker sold are actually our largest.
• 13:52
Speaker 1: Donor to the Ronald Mcgillhouse.
• 13:54
Speaker 7: And again, not a business, not an individual, just a
• 13:58
bunch of people that love cars and do this out
• 14:00
of the goodness of their heart every year for us.
• 14:02
Speaker 2: So there could be any maker model out there. And
• 14:04
like I said, it's going on May ninth. Gates open
• 14:06
at seven for the cars. Show starts at ten am
• 14:09
for the spectators. It is at the KOA.
• 14:13
  Speaker 1: What's that? What's that? What's this?
• 14:17
Speaker 2: If you don't know where that is then used to
• 14:19
be the crush driving Yeah, exactly.
• 14:20
Speaker 1: If you don't know where that is, you don't need
• 14:22
to go. And you know, one thing I want.
• 14:25
Speaker 6: To say is if without the support of the people,
• 14:27
we wouldn't be able to raise this kind of mine. Yeah,
• 14:29
so it's very impressive when we'll bring their cars and
• 14:31
enjoy the day. We'll have vendors on site for the
• 14:34
food since the restaurants no longer open.
• 14:36
Speaker 1: Okay, and oh the restaurants no it's closed now. Great restaurant,
• 14:41
  such a great rushaurant.
• 14:42
Speaker 4: Again, we'll have three different vendors there for.
• 14:44
Speaker 1: Food and ice cream and all that stuff.
• 14:45
Speaker 6: And we'll be given out our free water like we
• 14:47
do every year. And you know, it's good sized trees plenty.
• 14:51
It's a unique situation where you have power and water
• 14:54
at every site. So everybody come out and spend some
• 14:57
money and make more money for the romal downhouse.
• 14:59
Speaker 2: And there is there's no better group of people to
• 15:02
hang out with. And I don't know why it is,
• 15:03
but there's no better group of people to hang out
• 15:06
with than car owners guys who like to sit around
• 15:08
and show off their cars. I don't know why. They
• 15:11
just they got great stories. They're so fun to talk to.
• 15:14
They're very opening and welcoming and want to show you
• 15:16
everything about their car. So if you're into it, it
• 15:20
is a really great time and supports Aronald McDonald house. Everybody,
• 15:24
Hold on a second, all right, Scarlett. Scarlett's here from
• 15:26
the Ronald McDonald's house. We should talk a little bit
• 15:29
about that before I tell you about vals car show
• 15:30
that it puts on every year with the most parts
• 15:32
  of Bakersfield.
• 15:34
Speaker 1: Scarlett, the Ronald McDonald House. Where's it at?
• 15:37
Speaker 7: The Baker's Arond McDonald House is located directly behind Baker's
• 15:41
Memorial Hospital on thirty fourth Street. But we do serve
• 15:44
all of the local hospitals and outpatient care facilities for
• 15:49
those families that have a child. And we will be
• 15:52
open seventeen years. In about six weeks, June fourth will
• 15:57
be our seventeenth birthday. And it's just it's been an
• 16:00
  amazing journey being there.
• 16:01
Speaker 2: Now Scarlette comes in to talk about all the fundraisers
• 16:04
that she has to support the Ronald McDonald Hospital. If
• 16:07
you just want to donate, if you just want to
• 16:10
support them in your own little way, you can absolutely
• 16:13
do that anytime, any day, as long as.
• 16:16
Speaker 1: They're open, or just drop it off at the front door.
• 16:18
  Somebody pick it up.
• 16:19
Speaker 7: Yeah, you can come by. We're right behind Baker's with
• 16:21
a memorial hospital. You can come in and tour and
• 16:25
it's a short tour. It's a short tour. Yes we
• 16:28
will not, Yes we are not. We are not a mansion,
• 16:32
but we provide that comfort, care and support for families.
• 16:35
Speaker 1: And you can also visit us on the web at
• 16:38
  our mc.
• 16:39
Speaker 7: Sc dot org, backslash Baker's Old and check us out.
• 16:44
Speaker 2: I will tell you something funny before we get the
• 16:46
valve about the Ronald mcd. I live next to this
• 16:48
guy for twelve years and I finally my neighbor finally
• 16:51
  met him at the.
• 16:52
Speaker 1: Ronald McDonald j my neighbor. Hey, hey, we know each other. Yeah,
• 16:59
we see each other at the box.
• 17:00
Speaker 2: Hey. Well, all right, so you've got the most parts
• 17:02
of Bakersfield. You've got the car show going on May night,
• 17:04
that is Saturday. You got all makes and models.
• 17:08
Speaker 6: Yes, they're all make some models we care if it's
• 17:11
  an RV anything.
• 17:12
Speaker 4: If you want to pay the fee, you can go.
• 17:15
Speaker 1: How did they join the car show?
• 17:18
Speaker 4: The car show again.
• 17:19
Speaker 6: We'll be on the ninth from seven o'clock to ten
• 17:22
o'clock for the cars to come in, ten o'clock for
• 17:24
the spectators to come in. There's free parking on the street.
• 17:27
It's courtesy of the city, and we welcome everyone to come.
• 17:31
It's our seventeenth year, as it is her seventeenth year
• 17:34
with the House, and we've raised quite a bit of
• 17:37
money over the years, but only by the support of
• 17:39
the people bringing those cars and showing off their wares
• 17:42
and bragging about what they do.
• 17:44
Speaker 1: Yeah, we're courses of two hundred and fiftieth year.
• 17:46
Speaker 4: We are going to have a lot of the military vehicles.
• 17:48
Speaker 1: Oh nice, Oh that's awesome.
• 17:50
Speaker 6: Olive draft people are going to bring to their vehicles,
• 17:52
so we'll have those up front, and we'll have all
• 17:55
kinds of contraptions on wheel I want to put it.
• 17:59
Speaker 2: There will be food vendors out there. There will be
• 18:02
activities for you guys to go out and check it out. Obviously,
• 18:05
take the kids, take the family, go out and enjoy
• 18:08
a few hours out there checking out all the cars.
• 18:10
It will take you a little while to get through
• 18:12
them all. You can talk to the guys. You can
• 18:14
find out how they built them, you can find out
• 18:15
what they did, you can find out more information before
• 18:18
we all go electric and then will there be electric
• 18:20
  cars out there.
• 18:24
Speaker 4: One thing, too, is our raffle every year is astronomical.
• 18:28
Speaker 6: I mean, we have been very fortunate in getting a
• 18:30
lot of stuff, and we take pride in saying that
• 18:33
it is a very large raffle.
• 18:34
Speaker 4: We have some very unique things thanks.
• 18:36
Speaker 6: To Amazon, and of course this all benefits again the
• 18:40
  Ronal Madonald.
• 18:41
Speaker 1: All right, you guys to go check it out.
• 18:42
Speaker 2: Val Scarlett, thank you guys for stopping by May ninth
• 18:47
over the Koa Campground or what do they call it, Kowa. Yeah,
• 18:53
it's over there off a Wible road across from the
• 18:54
  Autumn Hall.
• 18:55
Speaker 1: You guys go check it out. May ninth.
• 18:57
Speaker 2: The car start showing up at seven spectators. You can
• 18:59
get in ten. It's gonna be a great time. What
• 19:02
do you send me here a room? Have you been
• 19:06
watching the NBA playoffs? I haven't heard you talk about them.
• 19:09
I know you always talk about football, but what do
• 19:11
  you think about the NBA?
• 19:14
Speaker 1: You know, I've been trying. I try.
• 19:19
  Speaker 2: I mean I used to. I used to be a
• 19:22
big NBA fan. We had season tickets. My family had
• 19:25
season tickets to the to the Kings because that's where
• 19:29
they lived. And I actually my first ever basketball game
• 19:33
I ever went to was the Kings and the Lakers.
• 19:38
But the NBA today, first of all, they're playing a
• 19:41
seven game series for the first round of the playoffs.
• 19:44
I think it used to be five. I think it
• 19:47
used to be five, three or five. I mean, it's
• 19:50
just absurd to play seven games like that. Just I've
• 19:55
been trying to watch it, so I have no idea
• 19:57
what's going on with it. But there's nobody appealing. I mean,
• 20:01
there's no characters, there's no real The guys in the
• 20:05
NBA now, I mean that they had a good run. Uh,
• 20:08
Kobe obviously was an amazing Shaq was amazing. I'm trying
• 20:12
to think the newest, you know, Steph Curry was pretty
• 20:15
impressive for a while. But they don't have any real
• 20:22
I mean, Lebron James is was just amazing when he
• 20:26
came out of high school. And now he's kind of
• 20:28
a joke, the way he flops around, and he might
• 20:32
be he's kind of old and should probably have left,
• 20:35
and so he's even become a joke. I mean, they're
• 20:37
just who do you really want to watch? Who do
• 20:40
you really want to see? You know, there's no there's
• 20:45
no appeal to the NBA, not for me anymore. So,
• 20:48
but I keep trying, I do. I keep trying to
• 20:51
watch the playoffs. I mean, I turn it on every
• 20:53
night to try to watch somewhat of the game, but
• 20:55
  they're just I just not I don't know. It's not
• 20:58
the game I want to say, it's not. It's not
• 21:00
the game I grew up with. So it's not the
• 21:02
game I want to watch anymore. You know, things are
• 21:07
just different. It's not appealing to me.
• 21:09
  Speaker 1: But I try. I mean, so I don't. I don't want.
• 21:11
Speaker 2: But I don't know what you were asking if I know,
• 21:13
I don't know anything about it, if that's what you're
• 21:15
asking me, because I try to watch, I can watch
• 21:18
for about five minutes and then I gotta go do something.
• 21:20
Speaker 1: It's just it's not appealing to me.
• 21:21
Speaker 2: So I mean, I guess that's why the NBA ratings.
• 21:24
Speaker 1: Are not as good as they used to be.
• 21:26
Speaker 2: It's not as popular as it once was, even though
• 21:28
it's still pretty popular. So you can't you know, it's
• 21:32
  not a dying sport. But I don't know, I don't know.
• 21:36
I guess there's just no real star in the NBA
• 21:40
that that makes you want to watch, like like Kobe did,
• 21:44
  or like Tiger Woods did.
• 21:46
  Speaker 1: Or like I don't know.
• 21:47
Speaker 2: I mean, the NFL still pumping out you know, still
• 21:50
pumping out superstars, so you still want to watch that
• 21:53
every year, But that's just me. I don't know already
• 21:57
four to pot four, seven to seven. You know, even
• 22:01
even with that show, hey show Otani, it makes uh
• 22:05
makes me want to watch the Dodgers play. And I'm
• 22:07
not a huge I was never a huge baseball fan,
• 22:10
but even why I want to watch him play. So
• 22:12
there's just no nobody in the NBA that really I think,
• 22:16
does that for me. No main superstar that goes, yeah,
• 22:18
I got to check out that guy.
• 22:20
  Speaker 1: All right?
• 22:21
Speaker 2: So so really no, but I keep trying, Like tonight
• 22:25
there are games on tonight. If there's games on tonight,
• 22:26
I'll try to watch them, but it won't you know,
• 22:29
a couple of minutes and I'll be out you.
• 22:32
Speaker 8: You're so right with the NBA. Watched my Lakers last night.
• 22:35
It's just so hard to watch dude, just like and
• 22:41
then like the refs are giving this guy sengoon, this
• 22:44
dude like from Europe on the Hawks team. Guys, this
• 22:48
dude's like the most awkward dudes falling and tripping and
• 22:50
they're giving him. Who are you trying to make a
• 22:56
  star man clumsy?
• 22:58
  Speaker 5: Yeah?
• 22:58
Speaker 2: I mean giving this guy files before Lebron.
• 23:04
Speaker 8: It's like they're trying to bring up any young dude
• 23:06
that got the euro move or something. I don't know, dude,
• 23:09
  it's it's bad.
• 23:10
Speaker 1: It's just there's just something about it.
• 23:13
Speaker 2: And you're right, there's just nobody to root for where
• 23:16
you just go, wow, this is this, you know, like
• 23:18
like I don't know Michael Jordan's he was just so
• 23:21
even when you hated him, he was still you wanted
• 23:23
  to root for him.
• 23:23
Speaker 1: He just there was some there's just no personality.
• 23:26
Speaker 8: I hate the most was Barry Bird dude, because you
• 23:30
know we hated him, but he was so because he
• 23:33
  was so good.
• 23:34
Speaker 1: There's just no personality in the.
• 23:37
Speaker 8: Him, right, And then all of them now are like, oh,
• 23:40
I'm tired, I'm sitting out, you know, just like Katie
• 23:44
yesterday sitting on the bench. Dude, his team's playing and
• 23:46
he's just like, it's just if they get all this money,
• 23:50
all they want to do is sit down, rest and complain.
• 23:55
Speaker 1: All right, thank you're going.
• 23:58
  Speaker 2: I mean, there's and that's what I I mean, that's
• 24:00
why I say I just can't watch the NBA anymore.
• 24:02
I try, I still try. There's just nobody there's just
• 24:05
nobody to love in the NBA. There it's embarrassing, to
• 24:09
be honest with you. If you look at the if
• 24:11
you look at the athletes from the nineties and two
• 24:14
thousands in the NBA's to what you have now, it's it's.
• 24:16
Speaker 1: It's it's just not the same.
• 24:18
  Speaker 4: All right.
• 24:19
Speaker 2: So when it comes to the NBA, somebody who's asking me,
• 24:21
I've been watching the playoffs and I haven't been. I've
• 24:23
been trying to because I was a fan of the
• 24:25
NBA for a lot of years, a couple of decades
• 24:29
growing up, and they just there's just nothing that's appealing
• 24:34
about it today. So I try, I mean I try,
• 24:38
  but it's just.
• 24:39
  Speaker 1: I don't know what.
• 24:40
Speaker 2: Uh, there's no there's no personalities, there's nobody to root for.
• 24:45
There's no one star that you just are two stars go,
• 24:48
oh my god, I gotta watch these guys. These guys
• 24:49
are so great, they draw you in, and they don't.
• 24:52
I mean, it's just not there anymore. Wendby as a star, Well, yeah,
• 24:59
he's a star in the end, but who's that. If
• 25:03
I don't know who he is, then he's not a
• 25:07
global sensation in the way that I don't even I
• 25:10
don't even I've never been a huge baseball fan, but
• 25:16
shoe Otani makes me want to watch the Dodgers because
• 25:20
he's so impressive and he's so like he just draws
• 25:22
  you in.
• 25:24
Speaker 1: Wenby doesn't do that. I don't even know who he is.
• 25:26
Speaker 2: You know, Tiger Woods drew people to golf like you
• 25:29
wouldn't believe people that didn't even like golf or know
• 25:32
  what golf was.
• 25:34
Speaker 1: You know, hey, Roan.
• 25:35
Speaker 2: They need to bring back some physicality to the NBA.
• 25:38
Everybody cries about the fouls. The ref calls everything except
• 25:43
for travel, and the players are always looking at the
• 25:46
refs for a call instead of playing. When I played,
• 25:49
you played until the whistle was blown. I mean, that's
• 25:51
probably fair. You're probably right about that. I mean, but
• 25:55
there's just even with the rule changes and the things
• 25:58
like that, you can if you still had a personality,
• 26:03
if you still had somebody that you you know, you know,
• 26:06
like Burden Magic, you know, they that confrontation made you
• 26:12
want to watch even if you weren't a fan of
• 26:14
  the NBA.
• 26:14
Speaker 1: So just it's just not the same, all.
• 26:17
Speaker 2: Right, eight four two to four seven seven, we're talking
• 26:20
about the NBA. Somebody was asking me if I've been
• 26:22
watching at night. I'm trying to, but I can't. It's
• 26:25
just not appealing. It's not it's not exciting, it's there's nothing.
• 26:30
There's nothing really that makes me want.
• 26:33
Speaker 1: To watch it. But I try. I keep trying.
• 26:36
Speaker 2: A Rome Critics argue the modern NBA feels like a
• 26:41
joke or inferior product due to lack of physicality, excessive
• 26:46
three point shooting, and poor officiating. The league is criticized
• 26:50
for high volume shooting regardless of players skill, excessive load management,
• 26:54
players sitting out, and a focus on superstar calls that
• 26:59
disrupted the game flow. Huh, I think AI just chat.
• 27:04
GPT just sent me a text message. I feel the
• 27:09
same about boxing. It's become a joke. Yeah, boxing has become.
• 27:14
  Speaker 1: A little bit of a joke. You're right, You're right.
• 27:17
  Morrian Holp's going on?
• 27:18
  Speaker 8: Hey, what's up?
• 27:19
  Speaker 4: Room?
• 27:19
  Speaker 3: Hey?
• 27:19
Speaker 4: What are going on?
• 27:21
  Speaker 9: Hey?
• 27:21
  Speaker 10: Man?
• 27:21
Speaker 8: These a lot of these like the big sports They
• 27:23
say Lebron James and everything they ruined the sports bro
• 27:26
like the way they throw their tous on the floor
• 27:27
and start flopping and all that. When you know, with
• 27:30
these TVs you could see everything clear now, you know,
• 27:32
what I mean's not like back in the days you
• 27:33
couldn't see that clear. But even now, the like the
• 27:39
youth kids. We just had tournament over the weekend room
• 27:42
and a little girl with nobody was doing here and
• 27:44
she hit the ground and started flopping like a fish
• 27:46
coming out of the water, you know what I mean.
• 27:49
So did she get take the fun out of the sports?
• 27:52
Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
• 27:53
  Speaker 1: Yeah?
• 27:54
Speaker 8: Yeah, okay, so yeah they need to start. What they
• 27:58
need to do is start pat uh by getting to
• 28:00
give them penalty and stuff for faking it room. That's
• 28:02
what they need to do so they could stop doing
• 28:04
and they could just play the real games.
• 28:05
Speaker 1: Oh, I think they were gonna start. I think they
• 28:07
were good. They were talking about that. I remember.
• 28:11
Speaker 2: I mean, he's not wrong, but Lebron James was, uh
• 28:15
the Lebron James thing now is kind of new, him flopping.
• 28:19
He used to be pretty dominant, pretty uh a really
• 28:23
good basketball player. Now he just you know, looks like
• 28:25
an old man flopping around. But there's just nobody to
• 28:30
like or hate. You know, that's kind of a problem
• 28:34
you have to have. I mean, these sports, the competitive
• 28:38
the competitiveness of it is one thing, but if you
• 28:43
don't have anybody to root for or root against. Then
• 28:49
it's it's not a good product. It's just not so
• 28:55
I mean, but whatever, I mean they're doing NBA. I
• 28:58
know they're losing, losing radio, but they're not I don't
• 29:01
think they're gonna disappear anytime soon. But it's just not
• 29:06
it's just not something to watch, even when you go
• 29:09
to the you know, like yeah, so yeah, but I
• 29:14
keep trying. I'll keep trying, you know, a few minutes
• 29:17
a night. But the playoffs are just.
• 29:19
Speaker 1: God, that's so boring. I don't know why. The game
• 29:23
  is just so boring.
• 29:24
Speaker 2: They say baseball is boring, but my god, the NBA
• 29:27
is just so boring to watch.
• 29:29
Speaker 1: It's hard to watch.
• 29:30
Speaker 2: Thursday, So Michael Bean is here for the Marriaging Family
• 29:33
Center six three two seven fifty one hundred.
• 29:37
Speaker 1: Good morning, Michael, Good morning. How's everything going.
• 29:42
Speaker 3: Hey, I can't complain, can you. I mean, you're pretty good.
• 29:51
Speaker 1: So the other day we're.
• 29:54
Speaker 2: Having a conversation about relationships, and it was it was
• 29:58
  a little bit different.
• 29:59
Speaker 1: It was about people I'm not getting what they want
• 30:01
out of the relationship, and I was just kind of
• 30:05
obviously it's not something that you would do.
• 30:07
Speaker 2: But I was telling people that it's okay to get
• 30:09
out of relationships. And if something you're not getting what
• 30:13
you want and you there's nothing you chose to be
• 30:18
in the relationship, you can choose to leave. Now, let
• 30:21
me preference that now that you're here, people choose to leave.
• 30:27
I believe over things that can be fixed and they
• 30:32
don't think they can fix them. So maybe that's why
• 30:34
they leave, or they just stay.
• 30:38
Speaker 1: There and be unhappy in a relationship.
• 30:42
Speaker 2: But the idea that most things, I mean, there's a
• 30:45
couple of things that obviously we're not going to talk
• 30:47
about that are on very black and white you gotta
• 30:50
get out. But a lot of the things that people
• 30:54
have issues within the relationship that they're unhappy with, I
• 30:59
gotta believe or fitable. You know that there are things
• 31:03
there that you go, well, she doesn't. And I'll give
• 31:05
you the perfect example of what we're talking about. The
• 31:07
guy goes, I don't get enough sex in my relationship. Well,
• 31:11
do you know why that is? Maybe you're not doing enough,
• 31:14
maybe she's not you know, But to me, that's fixable
• 31:18
  for the most part.
• 31:19
Speaker 1: Or chores or economics. I think stuff like that is fixable.
• 31:24
What do you think about that, Michael, I mean.
• 31:27
Speaker 3: There are a lot of things that are fixable, and
• 31:32
nobody really jumps out of a relationship, and let's they
• 31:35
really are convinced that it's beyond repair. There are a
• 31:39
couple of things about us humans that we just want
• 31:42
the relationship to continue. First of all, we are just
• 31:45
a pair making species. We just don't like to be alone,
• 31:49
you know, so we prefer to have a partner. And
• 31:51
the other thing is we like tomorrow to be predictable.
• 31:55
We want to wake up with the same people in
• 31:57
our lives, you know. And if we get out of
• 32:00
a relationship, that gets rid of a lot of predictability.
• 32:03
And so because of at least those two things, probably
• 32:06
other things, but at least those two things, now we
• 32:09
do we wait until we're just really discouraged, we're convinced
• 32:13
that the same can't be changed, before we'll before we'll
• 32:17
  leave a relationship.
• 32:19
Speaker 1: Would you agree with like I would?
• 32:21
Speaker 2: Probably would you agree that most things, almost everything in
• 32:25
a relationship, if you guys are really want to be
• 32:28
with each other, that most things are fixable with communication,
• 32:33
with help from a therapist, with somebody that can or
• 32:38
just wanting to do it and be with that person.
• 32:43
  Speaker 11: Well.
• 32:44
Speaker 3: I have seen in working with my clients that there
• 32:48
are many things that are fixable that people did not
• 32:51
think that they were at all. I've also seen that
• 32:56
fixing it can look really different than the people thought.
• 33:00
You have an idea in your mind of the solution
• 33:02
for a problem. It's not working, but you keep trying it.
• 33:06
It's not working. Well, there may be other solutions, you know.
• 33:09
So just because you keep beating your head against the
• 33:12
wall doesn't mean you can't move a little bit to
• 33:14
the left. Yeah, but you can kind of go through,
• 33:18
you know, continuing to beat your head against But no,
• 33:21
we do. We continue to keep doing things that aren't working,
• 33:24
and we become convinced that, oh, this is just an
• 33:27
  intractable problem.
• 33:29
Speaker 2: And when you and like you said, we keep doing
• 33:32
things that aren't working. Somebody might leave a relationship over
• 33:37
something that if they were to have just talked with somebody,
• 33:41
it could have helped them and gotten to another relationship,
• 33:43
and now a few years down the road they're having
• 33:45
the exact same problem that they were in the previous relationship.
• 33:50
Speaker 3: Very true, Sometimes your partner needs to hear it from
• 33:55
a third person who they can tell it cares about
• 33:58
the relationship, but kind of as an unbiased person when
• 34:03
they hear it from you, I don't know, there's this
• 34:06
kind of thing that is just like, well, that's your opinion.
• 34:11
Speaker 8: I mean we do.
• 34:13
Speaker 3: We tend to kind of discount it in some way
• 34:15
because we think, well, I hear what you're saying and everything,
• 34:19
I just can't kind of see it like that. And
• 34:21
then we hear it from this third person and all
• 34:23
of a sudden like, oh, you know that makes sense.
• 34:26
The partner just looks at them like.
• 34:29
  Speaker 1: Am telling you.
• 34:32
Speaker 12: All of a sudden, I don't know what.
• 34:33
Speaker 3: It is about that, but that can really help. And
• 34:35
then the other thing is, yeah, just coming up with
• 34:38
a different solution than you pictured in your mind, just
• 34:40
looking at the problem a little bit differently, seeing it
• 34:43
from a different point of view. You as the person
• 34:47
might need to change how you're going about trying to
• 34:50
solve it too. So either one of those two things
• 34:53
can make it just really helpful to talk to somebody.
• 34:56
Speaker 2: I want to talk about that next Michael. Michael Being
• 34:58
is here for the Marriaging Family Center.
• 35:00
  Speaker 1: I want to talk a.
• 35:01
Speaker 2: Little bit about what people are doing in the relationship
• 35:05
to help get what they want out of their partner.
• 35:08
Speaker 1: That might sound that don't Yeah, we'll talk about it.
• 35:10
Speaker 2: Michael Being is here from the Marriage of Family Center
• 35:13
and that six six one three two seven fifty one
• 35:16
  one hundred.
• 35:17
Speaker 1: Good morning, Michael, Oh, good morning, this idea.
• 35:22
Speaker 2: Sorry, Michael and I were talking about the air and
• 35:24
I just said, people are stupid.
• 35:26
  Speaker 1: Because people are.
• 35:27
Speaker 3: Stupid, I get just a little bit amazed at your
• 35:32
low opinion of humanity. Sometimes I see people doing the
• 35:37
same things and I and I am curious about it, and
• 35:40
I'm interested in it. I sometimes have compassion for it.
• 35:43
I'm like, oh, these poor people are but I don't's
• 35:46
just kind of go to so stupid.
• 35:48
  Speaker 8: Well, I don't know.
• 35:50
Speaker 2: I just sometimes maybe it's just because I've been talking
• 35:53
to you for so many years, I feel like I'm
• 35:54
just so much smarter than all these idiots in their
• 35:57
relationships fighting over the dumbest things that very irrelevant. And
• 36:01
then when you start to look at your life and go, man,
• 36:04
I just I want to be happy.
• 36:06
Speaker 1: I want to enjoy my life with somebody.
• 36:08
Speaker 2: I want to have dinner, I want to have sex,
• 36:10
I want to talk, I want to do these things.
• 36:13
Speaker 1: You know, run errant. But people get so damn I
• 36:17
don't know what it is, Michael.
• 36:19
  Speaker 2: They just I don't know, if they're afraid they're going
• 36:21
to be taking advantage of by by going to grocery
• 36:25
shopping with their wife or holding their purse, or she.
• 36:28
Speaker 1: Doesn't if she actually you know, has.
• 36:30
Speaker 2: To make dinner one night that she's being you know,
• 36:34
some thrown in the kitchen, or all these ideas of
• 36:37
things that people want out of each other that all
• 36:41
have to get done anyways, they just want to fight
• 36:44
  about it.
• 36:45
Speaker 1: They just want to Oh.
• 36:46
Speaker 2: I mean, it's almost like they're both puffing their chests
• 36:49
out at each other to find out who's going.
• 36:50
  Speaker 1: To control everything.
• 36:52
Speaker 2: But when you're in a relationship, you would think that
• 36:56
would be the one person you're not trying to battle.
• 37:01
I see, I see these people. That's why I say
• 37:03
they're so stupid. You know, I just don't know.
• 37:07
Speaker 3: My god, Well, you definitely have some stuff figured out.
• 37:12
Speaker 12: But I also want to point out that when you,
• 37:13
when I first started talking eleven hundred years ago or
• 37:16
whenever that was, you really taught things needed to be fair,
• 37:21
and if they weren't, you know that it's just you
• 37:23
had to address that and if you weren't, you weren't
• 37:26
being a man, or you had all these kind of
• 37:28
different things that Sure, now you've really kind of come
• 37:31
around and kind of seeing that, Wait.
• 37:32
Speaker 3: A minute, maybe there's more. Maybe there's more important things
• 37:35
  I could worry about.
• 37:36
Speaker 1: Once again, once again, my age.
• 37:39
Speaker 2: Why I'm smarter than everybody in Beggarsville Because I'm capable
• 37:43
of changing for the better. That's why I'm smarter than them. Also,
• 37:47
  they're so stupid.
• 37:49
Speaker 3: That's that's fine. But some compassion for some of the
• 37:53
people who haven't quite gotten there yet. No, it's true.
• 37:57
We do. We dig our heels in in all the
• 37:59
wrong times. We kind of feel like we have to
• 38:01
make an issue of things that maybe we don't have
• 38:03
to make an issue up. But maybe there's other things
• 38:06
that need to be addressed that I'm making. Those shoes
• 38:09
that are being left on the floor seems so important.
• 38:12
You know, I'm not mad about the shoes that are
• 38:14
on the floor, but every time I see them, I
• 38:16
remember how disrespected I feel or whatever whatever thing is
• 38:21
going on in a relationship that's not needfulfilling.
• 38:24
Speaker 1: Now, you're right about that.
• 38:26
Speaker 2: Now, let me just give you something that came up
• 38:28
the other day, Michael, a guy said, as his wife
• 38:32
called he was at work, she was just having a
• 38:35
  bad day.
• 38:36
Speaker 1: Called to say she was frustrated, she was tired, blah blah.
• 38:38
Speaker 2: Blah, whatever it was, right, So he says, you know what,
• 38:40
let me let me get off work a little early.
• 38:42
I'm going to go pick up dinner for the kids
• 38:44
and the family so that she doesn't have to do anything.
• 38:47
  Speaker 1: Right.
• 38:48
Speaker 2: Yeah, Apparently she got home and was pissed off because
• 38:51
she had pulled out something for dinner and now she
• 38:54
didn't have to. Her plan was messed up for dinner
• 38:57
because he went and tried to do something nice she thought, was,
• 39:01
you know, gonna help her take a little load off
• 39:03
her plate, and she was pissed off about that. So
• 39:06
we kind of concluded that she was just having a
• 39:08
bad day and took it out on him, which happens, right,
• 39:13
But why do we do that? Why do we why
• 39:20
little things that help in the relationship and people just
• 39:27
want to fight about it. They just want to, like
• 39:29
you said, dig their heels in over something that is
• 39:32
so irrelevant in the big scheme of things of our
• 39:36
lives and our relationships and our humanity.
• 39:39
Speaker 1: To be honest, with you.
• 39:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, I know, I know. In that moment, it feels like, wow,
• 39:48
this is the thing I just absolutely have to focus
• 39:50
on in the bigger picture. You know, maybe not. But
• 39:55
how do I change these habits? That's another thing we
• 39:57
  haven't talked about.
• 39:58
  Speaker 11: You know.
• 39:58
Speaker 3: We pick up habits sometimes than just in the families
• 40:01
we grew up in, and we carry those forward into
• 40:03
our relationships. They don't work at all. We just don't
• 40:06
get our needs met in a long term, or if
• 40:08
they do, it's super temporary. And yes, I get my
• 40:13
damn sandwich right now, but in the future, you're not
• 40:17
looking to see how you can maybe, you know, do
• 40:19
something nice for me. You're just trying to keep your
• 40:20
distance a little bit, yeah, and protect your sense of
• 40:23
you know, kind of just I don't know, respect, you know.
• 40:27
Speaker 1: Let me ask you this real quick, Michael. If I
• 40:29
do something nice for you and you go and it's
• 40:32
  something that.
• 40:35
Speaker 2: You don't how do I say this, Not that you
• 40:37
don't think it's nice, but it's not really what you want?
• 40:40
I say, Okay, Yeah, shouldn't we just shut up and
• 40:43
  say thank you?
• 40:45
Speaker 1: He tried. She tried.
• 40:46
Speaker 2: It wasn't really what I wanted, but they were trying
• 40:49
to do something nice for me in a positive way.
• 40:52
But it seems like a lot in our relationships. We'll
• 40:55
sit there and make a snide comment, well, I don't
• 40:57
  like that. Flowers just die.
• 40:58
Speaker 1: Why do you buy me flowers? They just die?
• 41:00
Speaker 2: When you're going, well, I just thought it'd be nice
• 41:02
for you buy some flowers, say thank you, shut up,
• 41:05
you move on with your day.
• 41:06
Speaker 1: You know. Yeah, we do that a lot.
• 41:10
Speaker 3: Yeah, there's there's the attempts that we make, and then
• 41:12
there's there's how it lands. You know, this is my intent,
• 41:15
this is what I want to do, but then there's
• 41:17
how it actually hits. And uh yeah, sometimes we get
• 41:21
it wrong and we need to fess up and kind
• 41:23
of go. You know, if i'd have thought that through
• 41:24
a little bit more, I might have realized you could
• 41:26
have made plan, maybe communicated it a little bit better,
• 41:29
and maybe thought of a different way than I could
• 41:31
have helped. Because she usually does get something out for
• 41:34
dinner or yeah, you know something maybe, but I kind
• 41:39
of like the way you said it. You know, she
• 41:41
was just having a bad day. Why maybe there wasn't
• 41:44
anything that he could have done for I don't know.
• 41:47
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, exactly exactly nothing would have been better than trying.
• 41:52
  Speaker 1: I guess, I don't. I don't know. I just it
• 41:55
  seems like in relationships.
• 41:58
Speaker 2: They people just become so bative and so competitive, and
• 42:01
so I don't get it, Michael, and I don't understand.
• 42:05
I just I can't do that for you because my
• 42:07
friends will make fun of me if I hold your
• 42:08
person them all, Well, that's your wife, who the hell
• 42:11
care you just sitting there home? Look first, what does
• 42:13
that really mean? Means nothing except she likes it, you know,
• 42:17
  or vice versa.
• 42:18
  Speaker 8: You know.
• 42:19
Speaker 1: I just I don't understand how we get there.
• 42:22
Speaker 2: But that's why, once again I say people are stupid,
• 42:25
because it's pretty obvious when you and I talk about it, right,
• 42:28
we're not We're not, you know, reinventing the wheel.
• 42:31
Speaker 1: We're not solving world hunger.
• 42:33
Speaker 2: We're telling you, exactly, be nicer to your spouse, and
• 42:36
your spouse may be nicer to you.
• 42:38
Speaker 3: Well, we're also not in this relationship where we've chronically
• 42:41
not gotten our needs, Matt, where we've been trying to
• 42:44
kind of assert ourselves in some important ways to us
• 42:46
and it hasn't worked. So I just want to have
• 42:49
compassion for these people who are hearing this and doing
• 42:52
these guys just don't understand. You know, this is this
• 42:55
is my life is way more complicated than they're making
• 42:58
  it seem.
• 42:59
Speaker 2: Well, you have compassion, and I'll call him stupid. All right,
• 43:01
Michael Beats here for the Marriage and Family Center. All right,
• 43:04
Michael beat Us here for the Marriage and Family Center.
• 43:07
Six one three, Tier seven fifty one.
• 43:09
Speaker 1: Good morning, Michael, Well, good morning. We talked a little bit.
• 43:14
Speaker 2: About relationships, and I was saying the other day, Michael,
• 43:17
I think most things are fixable. You know, most things
• 43:20
that people do they can fix in a relationship if
• 43:24
they really want to, if they truly want to, you know,
• 43:27
And I think I think about eighty percent of the
• 43:30
things that we fight over in relationships are nonsense, not
• 43:36
nonsense to the other person, but are kind of nonsense
• 43:40
in the big scheme of things.
• 43:42
Speaker 1: And there's no real reason.
• 43:43
Speaker 2: To be unhappy if you've decided, Oh, I got to
• 43:47
  talk about that, Michael.
• 43:48
Speaker 1: He just thought of something else too. I gotta focus.
• 43:57
Speaker 2: But anyway, I think that we give up before and
• 44:04
really don't understand that the nonsense that we broke up
• 44:08
over was fixable, and then we go to the next
• 44:11
relationship and we have the same problem, and we go
• 44:14
see it was them, No, it was you. It's the
• 44:18
same problem you left this relationship over, which was totally
• 44:21
fixable if you has had a conversation and a little
• 44:24
  bit of help, right.
• 44:25
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, good point, good point. And I'm right down
• 44:28
that other idea you had. I am right now, right
• 44:32
now while we're talking. But yeah, you know what you said,
• 44:37
if they really want to fix it, and I would
• 44:39
add one one other thing to that, if they believe
• 44:42
they can. You've got to really want it, and you've
• 44:45
got to believe as possible. And sometimes going to that
• 44:48
third neutral party and talking about your relationship can open
• 44:53
your eyes to maybe a possibility that you weren't looking
• 44:56
at before that maybe maybe it could be fixable. So
• 45:01
be careful before you determine that something isn't fixable. A
• 45:05
couple of things are just really really difficult. Maybe one
• 45:09
of them impossible to fix. The really difficult one is
• 45:12
if you've broken trust with each other multiple times. It
• 45:15
is really really difficult to regain trust when it's been
• 45:18
broken multiple times. If you physically harmed each other, or
• 45:22
if you've cheated on each other. You know, if it's
• 45:24
just really gotten, you've just crossed lines multiple times. It's
• 45:28
going to be very, very difficult to trust yourself or
• 45:31
that other person in that relationship. That's really tough. It's
• 45:34
not impossible, but you've got to start really small and
• 45:38
progress looks very different than you think it might, and yeah,
• 45:42
it's really tough. And the other one is that about
• 45:45
three to seven percent of Americans are true narcissists. They
• 45:52
just don't have it in them to have compassion for
• 45:55
other people. They just kind of can't see from someone
• 45:57
else's point of view. They just can't do it. It's
• 45:59
all about them. A lot of these people tend to
• 46:02
kind of have a sort of a criminal mindset where
• 46:04
it's what I can get away with, you know, or
• 46:06
there's one over on someone else. But about yeah, about
• 46:10
somewhere between. Well, they kind of estimate that in women
• 46:14
is about maybe up to five percent, per men is
• 46:16
up to maybe seven percent. So there's some number in there. Uh,
• 46:20
there is a percentage of people who just lack the
• 46:22
ability to have compassion. Brothers, that's going to be a
• 46:25
really difficult relationship. If you want to have a relationship
• 46:27
with somebody who can actually have some give and takes
• 46:29
who can see things from your perspective. That's going to
• 46:32
be really tough with a narcissist.
• 46:34
Speaker 1: So when we talk about these things that are fixable.
• 46:36
Speaker 2: And things that are a couple of things you brought
• 46:38
up that the trust, the giving, I don't think those
• 46:41
  are fixable.
• 46:41
Speaker 1: And I don't care if you fix that or not.
• 46:43
Speaker 2: That's not I just see there are some things from
• 46:48
one side where you just go, you know what it ended.
• 46:50
You made a mistake, a bad mistake. There's no coming
• 46:54
back from it, and there really shouldn't be. Move on
• 46:55
to somebody else who's going to treat you and never
• 46:58
do that to you better. I just see these little
• 47:01
things where you're arguing, like you said, we've always done
• 47:04
so getting old. The shoes he comes home, he leaves
• 47:07
the shoes on the ground, are in the you know,
• 47:09
in the living room every day, or she comes home
• 47:11
and throws the kicks her shoes off in the living room.
• 47:13
  Speaker 1: It just I don't like it. It's dirty, it's messy,
• 47:16
it's whatever. We find about that every.
• 47:17
Speaker 2: Day for you know, a year, and now all of
• 47:20
a sudden it turns into we always argue, Well what
• 47:25
do you always argue about? What we argue about everything. No,
• 47:29
you really just argued about the shoes. And you've always said, Michael,
• 47:34
they you know, they both have a point. But to me,
• 47:37
that's stupid and fixable. But now it turns into this
• 47:40
bigger issue of we're always arguing and now it's more combative.
• 47:46
When the idea was if you understand each other, then
• 47:50
we don't have to go there.
• 47:53
Speaker 3: Yeah, argument gets so tough, especially when there's defensiveness. Couple
• 47:58
say that when defensiveness it's into the argument, their number
• 48:02
one feeling is hopelessness. They just feel like this is hopeless.
• 48:07
Once you get into that kind of well, now we're
• 48:10
not even listening to each other, we're just trying to
• 48:11
not be wrong. Oh, it's discouraging. It's just it's just
• 48:15
so discouraging when you get into that. So, yeah, overcoming
• 48:20
those habits of argument, it's just really really important. You're
• 48:23
gonna have disagreements. It doesn't mean you have to agree
• 48:25
on everything. In fact, you'll figure out how to disagree
• 48:28
and get along just fine, but you do have to
• 48:31
figure out how to not get into that cycle of
• 48:35
escalating arguments where all of a sudden that other person
• 48:37
  becomes the enemy.
• 48:38
  Speaker 4: Yeah, all right.
• 48:39
Speaker 2: Michael Bean is here from the Marriage in Family Center
• 48:41
six six one three two seven of fifty one hundred.
• 48:45
Speaker 1: Michael Bean is here from the Marriage and Family Center.
• 48:48
Speaker 2: That's Marriage Family Center six six one three two seven
• 48:52
fifty one one hundred. Hey Michael, Yeah, okay, I just
• 48:56
wanted to bring something up about the narcisstics.
• 48:59
  Speaker 1: Not everybody's.
• 49:00
Speaker 2: Just because you and your your spouse have an argument
• 49:03
  doesn't mean they're a narcissistic person.
• 49:05
Speaker 1: It could just be a bad day or a bad whatever.
• 49:07
  Speaker 3: I don't people, Oh that's so important.
• 49:10
Speaker 2: I mean absolutely, you know, I think most people know
• 49:15
when they're and would you say three to five percent
• 49:17
or five to seven percent of people men and women.
• 49:20
You know, we all know, right, we know, we know
• 49:22
  our friends who are narcissistic.
• 49:24
  Speaker 1: We know.
• 49:24
Speaker 3: The time you yeah, the time you don't know is
• 49:27
when you're in an unhappy relationship Because when you're in
• 49:30
the middle of this relationship just sort of pleading for
• 49:33
your needs to get met and they're not being met,
• 49:35
they could maybe not not be being that for a
• 49:37
lot of reasons. Yeah, but all of a sudden, you're
• 49:39
looking at your partner through these different these different lenses
• 49:44
that are convincing you that, well, it just must be
• 49:47
their character or they change, they're not the person they
• 49:50
pretended to be when we were going out, or maybe
• 49:53
I mean, it's possible that they're sort of covered up
• 49:55
there narcissism. But do get a second or third or
• 49:58
coment on that us. They can really look like you're
• 50:02
with a narcissist when when you're not getting your.
• 50:04
Speaker 2: Needs met, when you're not and there there could just
• 50:06
be other things going on that you just don't really
• 50:09
know about. Maybe we should talk about that one sometimes
• 50:13
one time, Michael, over the next few weeks. Is people
• 50:15
going through relationships and not understanding why their spouse is changing.
• 50:20
It may be for you know, work may have changed
• 50:22
or something they're not telling them that just might be
• 50:25
causing issues that have nothing to do with with them
• 50:29
being narcissistic or with them being or anything to do
• 50:33
with the spouse. I mean, how many times does that happen, Michael,
• 50:36
Where a guy just doesn't want to talk about what's
• 50:38
going on at work, so it's causing problems at home
• 50:40
  and you're going, well.
• 50:41
Speaker 1: What's going on here? Is it me? No, it's you
• 50:43
  know something some outside.
• 50:45
Speaker 3: Factor, yeah, or some relationship dynamic that you haven't recognized,
• 50:49
but it's sort of playing itself out that way a
• 50:51
lot of times. That's what's happening.
• 50:53
  Speaker 9: All right.
• 50:53
Speaker 1: Michael Being is here for the Marriage of Family Center.
• 50:55
Hold on something to four point one.
• 50:56
Speaker 2: Michael Being is here for the Marriage and Family Center
• 50:59
six six one three Team seven.
• 51:01
Speaker 1: Fifty one hundred. Good morning, Michael, Good morning. Oh sorry, Michael.
• 51:06
  Are you there now?
• 51:07
  Speaker 3: Good morning?
• 51:08
Speaker 1: Oh there you are, all right, Michael. I want to
• 51:11
tell before we get you out of here about this
• 51:13
idea of what we do in our relationship.
• 51:18
Speaker 2: We get married, we live together, maybe if we both work,
• 51:22
If one of us works, one of us stays home.
• 51:25
Traditionally there's these roles that said, Okay, if I go
• 51:28
to work all day, you stay at home and take
• 51:30
care of the kids, or do the we clean the
• 51:32
house and cook dinner or whatever.
• 51:36
Speaker 1: How do we figure that out as a couple. We
• 51:40
  don't talk about it.
• 51:41
Speaker 2: I mean, I'd love to hear one one couples say,
• 51:45
you know what, when we got together, we said this.
• 51:48
Speaker 1: Is what I'm gonna do, this is what he's gonna do.
• 51:50
Speaker 2: And we're gonna, you know, go from there. I don't
• 51:53
people believe people do that. I think they just hope
• 51:56
  it happens.
• 51:59
Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of our lives kind of mesh a
• 52:01
little bit when we're becoming a couple. You know, our
• 52:04
social lives kind of start to mesh a little bit,
• 52:07
but we still have kind of a separate, a little
• 52:09
bit separate social life than our partner. And then we
• 52:12
have a different work life, usually from them, and a
• 52:16
lot of that kind of gets sorted out in the
• 52:17
beginning of the relationship. Oh, I see, you're going to
• 52:19
be away during this time. I'm going to be away
• 52:21
during this time. And yeah, sometimes those things aren't very
• 52:26
compatible for the relationship. Sometimes, Hey, I work at night,
• 52:30
you work during the day. We never see each other.
• 52:31
You know, we wave at each other as we pass.
• 52:34
That's almost much of a relationship. Yeah, so yeah, I mean,
• 52:38
those things they do have to be worked out. They
• 52:40
usually are in that partnering phase well, but they don't.
• 52:45
Speaker 1: Work about Michael, you know, you've seen it happen over
• 52:49
the year. You probably, I'm sure you've seen it happen.
• 52:51
Speaker 2: The guy who you know, she marries, the guy who
• 52:53
works ten hours a day because he's such a hard worker,
• 52:57
he's going to provide for the family because he's you know,
• 53:00
and he will. And then a five years in she's like,
• 53:03
you're never home. You don't never see you. Well, that's
• 53:08
because I'm over here trying to provide this life.
• 53:10
Speaker 1: That you want it.
• 53:12
Speaker 2: Not in a negative way, but you you signed up
• 53:14
  for this and now.
• 53:16
Speaker 1: You're not about it.
• 53:18
Speaker 3: Yeah, or even maybe more common five years later, she says,
• 53:21
you know, I'd like to go back to school. I
• 53:22
started studying this thing and I actually like to kind
• 53:25
of finish up that degree or whatever. And he's like, well,
• 53:27
wait a minute, but I married somebody who wanted to
• 53:30
be at home. So we talked. We talked off the
• 53:32
air about this idea of you know, people change over
• 53:35
time and how much change should be, okay, should be
• 53:39
how much change should we sort of expect to have
• 53:41
to go along with and when is it something that
• 53:45
we didn't sign up for? And that is an important
• 53:48
question that a lot of couples have to kind of
• 53:49
  work out.
• 53:51
Speaker 1: The more couples work that out than not, Michael, and.
• 53:55
Speaker 3: More couples work it out than that. My fear is
• 53:58
that a lot of couples sort of settle, uh, they
• 54:02
just you know, things, things aren't as good as when
• 54:05
as before, and I guess we just have to put
• 54:08
up with it. Instead of figuring out how to actually
• 54:10
turn it into a positive for their relationship, they just
• 54:14
they just kind of said, well, Okay, I'll just go
• 54:16
along and yeah, go along with.
• 54:18
Speaker 1: It, don't the boat? Are we that afraid of being alone?
• 54:23
  Michael is human beings?
• 54:26
Speaker 3: Well, like I said, we have those compelling reasons of
• 54:30
wanting to partner up and also wanting our lives to
• 54:33
be predictable to stay in relationships. Okay, but if you're
• 54:37
going to stay in the relationship, why not put the
• 54:39
effort into it that you need to to make it
• 54:41
a need fulfilling relationship. Well, one of the reasons, like
• 54:45
we've talked about all during this whole discussion today, is
• 54:49
because I become convinced that I can't, because I become
• 54:52
convinced I'm just not going to get all my needs met,
• 54:55
so I just have to lump it. Maybe maybe you
• 54:59
haven't tried every Maybe you haven't tried some things in
• 55:02
a way that would even work. Maybe you've tried it,
• 55:05
but you didn't implement it in a way that your
• 55:07
relationship paid it to. Please go to an expert, get
• 55:11
that second opinion or third and kind of explore that, because, yeah,
• 55:16
moving on is tough, and particularly when there are kids involved,
• 55:21
they they don't want that disruption for them. It feels
• 55:25
like their world is being torn apart for us adults,
• 55:28
and that's fine. We can move on, we can make
• 55:30
our decisions or whatever, but then we end up dragging these.
• 55:32
  Speaker 4: Kids through it.
• 55:33
Speaker 3: Then that's just not fair to them.
• 55:35
Speaker 1: All right, Michael Bean, I appreciate you coming on this morning.
• 55:38
Speaker 2: The Marriage of a Family Center six x one three
• 55:41
  two seven fifty one hundred.
• 55:44
Speaker 1: All right, what did you text me here?
• 55:46
Speaker 2: Let me get to them already four two for seven
• 55:49
to seven eight Romeo, I got to tell you this.
• 55:52
It was so embarrassing. Yesterday I got home early from work.
• 55:57
I was taking care of business and my my wife
• 56:01
actually came home early from work as well and caught me.
• 56:06
I was so embarrassed. I was mortified. I didn't know
• 56:09
what to do. I thought she was going to be upset,
• 56:12
but she wasn't. She just kind of laughed it off,
• 56:15
but I couldn't believe it. She said, that's what guys do,
• 56:20
and then we ended up Okay, Well, I mean it
• 56:23
worked out for you. But I was so embarrassed. I'm
• 56:29
still embarrassed. I was still embarrassed this morning when I
• 56:33
saw my wife before we left for work.
• 56:36
Speaker 1: Okay, well, I mean.
• 56:39
Speaker 2: Your wife obviously, if your wife didn't care, I mean,
• 56:42
  why would you care?
• 56:43
Speaker 1: Already for two five, four seven to seven.
• 56:46
Speaker 2: Hey, but we all have embarrassing moments, right, what was
• 56:49
your most embarrassing moment? Apparently this guy had his most
• 56:52
embarrassing moment yesterday when his wife came home and caught
• 56:55
him handling business without her, so least he wasn't cheating,
• 56:59
right already? Four two five, four seven to seven. Let's
• 57:02
talk about your most embarrassing moment. Let me think what
• 57:06
my most embarrassing moment was. Wow, that's tough. Oh that
• 57:13
is that's tough. Do you guys have one that stands
• 57:17
out where you were just so embarrassed?
• 57:20
Speaker 1: Hmm, that's tough. That's a tough question. Answer already? Four
• 57:25
two five, four seven to seven? What was yours? What
• 57:27
was yours? You got an embarrassing moment?
• 57:29
Speaker 8: Bro, I'm not nasty?
• 57:31
Speaker 13: What is how the hell you get off work early?
• 57:34
Speaker 5: And the first thing that comes to his head is
• 57:36
going the house and play with his hilm.
• 57:38
Speaker 3: He could have took out the trash.
• 57:40
Speaker 8: He could have fit, he could have done so many
• 57:44
  other things.
• 57:45
  Speaker 1: Romo, I don't know.
• 57:48
Speaker 14: He should be embarrassed of itself.
• 57:50
Speaker 4: That's nasty, all right, all right?
• 57:53
Speaker 1: Well, yeah, what's going on?
• 57:56
  Speaker 8: What's room?
• 57:57
Speaker 1: This is the hawk Loo, what's going on?
• 58:01
Speaker 5: I have a little embarrassed moment.
• 58:02
Speaker 9: I wanted to bring it up.
• 58:04
Speaker 5: What happened while we were in a Presno kind of
• 58:08
bar hopping. And I went to this place called a
• 58:13
splash bar in Presnel and I was eating some hot
• 58:17
cheetos and I was getting towards the end of the bag,
• 58:21
so I had all that cheetle dust on my fingers
• 58:26
and I just started licking them off my fingers. Man,
• 58:30
and I make eye contact with this guy and he
• 58:35
comes over and offers me his drinks and I'm like okay,
• 58:42
and he then he asked me, why were you, you know,
• 58:46
sucking on your fingers looking at me, And I was
• 58:50
so embarrassed. My friends made fun of me. I was like,
• 58:53
oh no, man, you know I have hot cheetle dust
• 58:56
on my fingers, so you know, I got a free
• 58:59
  drink out of it.
• 59:00
Speaker 4: But well, that's embarrassing room.
• 59:03
Speaker 2: All right, all right, yeah, that one of my embarrassing moments.
• 59:09
  Speaker 1: Just one.
• 59:10
  Speaker 4: Huh.
• 59:10
Speaker 2: I have a feeling a lot of them are gonna
• 59:12
have to do with sex, right alright? E four two, five,
• 59:14
four seven to seven A Romeo. I was out one
• 59:19
night with my friends drinking. I ran into my baby daddy.
• 59:23
We got drunk, we were hanging out. We went back
• 59:26
to my place, you know, jumped in the sack. The
• 59:30
next morning he was passed out. Our son came in,
• 59:35
jumped on us like we were a happy family, and said, Daddy,
• 59:40
you're here. I was absolutely mortified because my uh me
• 59:47
and him had been broken up for like two years.
• 59:50
There was no way I wanted my son to see that. Yeah, well,
• 59:54
I mean it happens. I don't know why he would
• 59:58
be embarrassed. So like, what did your you know, what
• 1:00:01
  did your son think? Like?
• 1:00:03
Speaker 1: What did he? Yeah?
• 1:00:05
Speaker 2: All right, I mean the worst things could happen to you, right,
• 1:00:08
all right? Eighty four two, five, four, seven and seven?
• 1:00:11
Like I said, you got an what is your most
• 1:00:12
  embarrassing moment?
• 1:00:16
Speaker 1: Good morning out? What's going on?
• 1:00:18
  Speaker 3: An embarrassing moment?
• 1:00:19
  Speaker 1: Yeah? What's up?
• 1:00:20
Speaker 13: Man? So all my fifteen years old.
• 1:00:23
Speaker 9: I do a high school as a player.
• 1:00:25
Speaker 3: You know, I went through.
• 1:00:28
Speaker 13: I went to the boying. I leave with my sister,
• 1:00:30
brother in law, cousins, a bunch of us like panted universe.
• 1:00:34
There was a group of girls next to us, so.
• 1:00:37
Speaker 9: I'll checking them out there checking me.
• 1:00:39
Speaker 13: I was like, you know what I want to you
• 1:00:41
know kind of I think the city walk in front
• 1:00:44
of them, the pretty good man. I want to go
• 1:00:48
  try and.
• 1:00:48
Speaker 3: Full a strike and I struck out bad.
• 1:00:50
Speaker 9: I passed out there on nine.
• 1:00:51
Speaker 13: And when he gets fIF free, he.
• 1:00:52
Speaker 9: Ran on my ass. Oh my god, I was the
• 1:00:56
  worst thing ever broke.
• 1:00:58
Speaker 13: I got my crap. They're all that mean if.
• 1:01:04
Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's There is nothing worse than embarrassing
• 1:01:08
yourself when you're trying to be cool, although you should
• 1:01:13
be embarrassed for calling yourself a player at seventeen. But okay,
• 1:01:20
all right, Ben, thanks for colling. I gotta tell you
• 1:01:25
there's a lot of situations to be embarrassed. I mean,
• 1:01:28
embarrassing situations that we've all been in. But one of
• 1:01:33
the worst is when you're trying to be cool and
• 1:01:36
you just you embarrass yourself. That's one of the worst.
• 1:01:39
Already four two five four seven is seven? All right,
• 1:01:42
your most embarrassing moment. What do you got a four
• 1:01:44
to two five four seven to seven? Let's see, Hey, rom,
• 1:01:48
I was out with friends and I wanted to go
• 1:01:49
home early as I'm not a big drinker, so I
• 1:01:52
knew I had to fake drunk so I could leave early.
• 1:01:56
So I begin to pass out, and my friends were like, uh,
• 1:02:01
take her home, Oh, take her home. And suddenly one
• 1:02:04
of my friends comes up to me and says, I
• 1:02:06
  got you all virgin drinks.
• 1:02:08
Speaker 1: What are you doing.
• 1:02:14
Speaker 2: I looked at her and smiled. I was so embarrassed.
• 1:02:17
I said, you know, it's time for me to go home.
• 1:02:22
Oh that's pretty funny. That's pretty funny, hey, rob. I
• 1:02:25
went on a cruise years ago. I got a cute
• 1:02:28
dress from a vendor. I wore it and was walking
• 1:02:31
up the stairways to the next level. The wind hit
• 1:02:34
me so hard it went all the way up to
• 1:02:37
my armpits. There was a whole row of old people
• 1:02:41
the top of this at the top staring at me,
• 1:02:44
and I said, I hope you didn't see anything.
• 1:02:46
Speaker 1: They said, we saw it all. I died laughing.
• 1:02:52
Speaker 2: I thought that only happened in the movies where the
• 1:02:54
dress got blown up like that. Wow, that's hilarious. Already
• 1:03:01
four two five four seven to seven. What's your most
• 1:03:04
embarrassing moment? Already fourteen fab four seven seven A.
• 1:03:08
Speaker 1: Romeo. Some friends of mine we went to Vegas for
• 1:03:12
  the weekend.
• 1:03:14
Speaker 2: We were drunk and I took I accidentally had my
• 1:03:19
friend's room key instead of mine. Somehow they got switched.
• 1:03:24
So we were out partying one night. I came back
• 1:03:27
to the room, thought I was walking into my room.
• 1:03:30
Ends up, I was walking into her room. She was
• 1:03:34
going at it with some dude. I was so embarrassed.
• 1:03:37
I couldn't believe it, and I just you just took off. Well,
• 1:03:44
why are you embarrassed? If you walked in on your
• 1:03:46
friend having sex with somebody else? Why?
• 1:03:49
  Speaker 8: How?
• 1:03:49
Speaker 1: Why would you be embarrassed? I mean, shouldn't she be embarrassed?
• 1:03:53
I'm not really sure about that, but okay, I could
• 1:03:57
see that. I could see that.
• 1:03:58
Speaker 2: I mean, now, maybe if you walk I didn't know,
• 1:04:00
on your parents having sex. I could see you being embarrassed.
• 1:04:03
But your friend, I don't know. Already fourteen five four
• 1:04:07
seven to seven. Nay roam a pretty embarrassing thing. Happened
• 1:04:11
to me while I was working. I work outside and
• 1:04:14
go door to door. I was crossing the street and
• 1:04:17
didn't realize the curb I was about to step on
• 1:04:20
was higher than normal and totally eight.
• 1:04:24

• 1:06:57
Speaker 2: I just ran back into the room, grabbed my clothes,
• 1:07:02
and took off. Later on, I found out when I
• 1:07:05
talked to her that they were just living together.
• 1:07:08
Speaker 1: Because they couldn't afford to separate.
• 1:07:18
  Speaker 3: Wow.

her roommates came out while we were on the couch.
• 1:07:50

• 1:10:47
being married, and then I divorced him fourteen years later,
• 1:10:51
and then we really didn't even separate. We only separated
• 1:10:54
for like two three months. But our obviously divorce went through.
• 1:10:59
Speaker 15: So we got married again and we had our, you know,
• 1:11:01
our second little ceremony, and come to find out that
• 1:11:04
one didn't go through, so we had to get married

  cowboy boots, you know.
• 1:12:28
  Speaker 4: Okay.
• 1:12:29

  husband for me?
• 1:12:34
Speaker 16: And I'm like, yeah, what is he wearing?
• 1:12:36
