Stevie: Hi, I'm Stevie. Lucy: Go ahead, Lex. Lexy: Hi, I'm Lexi! Lucy: Go ahead, El replied. everettindustries: Hi, I'm Everett Industries. Lucy: Go ahead, G Ginger: Bye, I'm Ginger. Lucy: Go ahead, Myah: You saved the best for last. I'm Maya. Aleta: Ha ha ha. Lucy: Yay! everettindustries: Yeah. Lucy: Besties, we are so happy and excited to continue our celebration of the first anniversary of Straight Until He Kissed Me. Today we welcome some guests who have been with us since the beginning. We know that there are so many more OG fans out there, but unfortunately, our podcast program only allows so many guests. We did choose some fans who had watched Straight Until He Kissed Me right when it first released, and were there, and some of them were there for the first live Lexy: Okay. Lucy: of Greg and Evan on September 14th, 2025. If you know, you know. Ginger: Yeah Lucy: So we wanna say thank you to everyone who said yes to us today. And for those listening, please continue to send Besties Do Verticals DMs on Instagram, what Straight Until He Kiss Me has meant to you. And we might read it on future episodes. Aleta: Right. To begin with, we would like to go around the group here today and have each of you introduce yourself and tell the listeners how you got into the fandom. Let's start with Everett Industries. Lexy: And I'm going to be talking everettindustries: Alright, so I got into the fandom because of Straight Until He Kiss Me, of course. I watched it on like a little ad on my phone. I have seen a previous one in the past, it didn't get me hooked, but Straight Until He Kiss Me got me hooked straight on the dot, made me download the ad and Lexy: about the of of Thank Aleta: Ha ha ha. everettindustries: I watched it non stop. I followed Greg and Evan straight away and from then on I'm here. Aleta: That's a very familiar story somehow. Lexi, what about you? Lexy: unfortunately I wasn't there for the first life, but I had watched it and I had the same experience with the ad. I got hooked on the ad basically like straight away, like the first couple of days. So I watched it and yeah, became a fan. And then as Maya would say, I took a cheap version of tech and social media because I hadn't had TikTok and I didn't have Instagram till I was looking for them. Aleta: huh. Ginger, what about you? Ginger: Well, I'm chronically online, I was just Aleta: Ha ha ha. Kairo: Yes. Ginger: like, you know, Instagram, TikTok, all that Lexy: Thank Ginger: stuff. And then I believe it started because I watched, I got hooked by the ads and started, I watched Pool Boy with Declan and Sky, I think first, and that's what really got me there. And then it kind of just, I think started. telling me, if you liked this, you liked this, and then there they were. Aleta: Yeah. The algorithm does its job. Lexy: Thank Stevie: you Aleta: Cairo. Kairo: no, so I Lexy: Thank you. Thank Kairo: apologies. I got into shit until he kissed me because the ads were everywhere on TikTok and I even clicked not interested but those ads would not leave me alone. So eventually I decided to give in and I watched it I think because at that time I was very unwell and I went into hospital for six weeks. I've always been unwell by the way I'm chronically also. Hospitals been my life but anyways. Lexy: So, Thank Kairo: I watched it, I think it was around the 7th of September and that immediately changed my life because I was searching for who the actors were, what does Greg do, what does Evan do and when I discovered that Greg had music, my life, that was it, my life was over, I was hooked there. Lexy: You Aleta: Ha ha ha. everettindustries: Mm-hmm. Aleta: Maya, what about you? Myah: Well, I was part of a different fandom. And in this fandom, there weren't a lot of people that were watching queer content, queer verticals. And I was one of the ones that was constantly talking about queer verticals. So, you know, I prefer queer verticals. And this came up one day, similar to everyone else, like with the, you like this, you might like this. And then I was like, it looks good. Lexy: And I hope that you us in the conversation. Myah: I'll give it a shot. And I realized, yeah, I really liked this one. Now it's one of my new favorites and I was hooked ever since. Lexy: you Aleta: Stevie how about you? Stevie: So, familiar refrain. Aleta: Ha ha ha Kairo: Yeah Stevie: I saw all the ads on TikTok and like my eye... was really, I needed some queer content. And so I downloaded the app and then I have issues with instant gratification so I paid so I could watch the whole Aleta: Ha ha ha ha. Stevie: thing. Eventually I did do the ad thing so now I have the whole thing unlocked and Kairo: you Stevie: can now watch it whenever I want to. But then I searched up the actors and joined their... I guess server things and join the discord and all that and yeah here we are. Aleta: Here we are. All of us chronically Stevie: you Aleta: online. Kairo: You everettindustries: It's Ginger: You Aleta: And all of us sucked in by those ads. Stevie: you Lucy: Maya, were you raising your hand? Myah: Yes, Stevie: I'm Myah: I wanted to add something quickly that I didn't think of that Stevie reminded me, but Lexy: you Myah: how I was brought to the actual fandom. I was looking for a new fandom when I left the old one and then Lexy: you Myah: discovered that Evan had his own chat and Greg had their own private chat and I joined them and was really happy. Actually, I joined Greg's first and I remember one member, I was really seeking a place where I would feel welcomed and One member was like, you're welcome here, this is a safe space and I've never looked back. Aleta: Yay. Lucy: Yes, we love Greg. Greg makes sure Greg and Evan, they both make sure there's safe spaces for sure. And we did all of us, that's how we've all met. As I I know on the first live I saw a lot of your names there, but like it Kairo: Yeah. Lucy: wasn't a full connection until the subscriber chats. So thank you, Evan. everettindustries: Yeah. Lucy: Thank you, Greg, for making those back in October. Aleta: Yeah. Yeah, wow. It's been a while, hasn't it? Kairo: No. Lucy: It has okay guys. I am gonna actually send so go to your phones. I am going to send to that group chat two videos. So we are going to start with Eddie. So Eddie was also in the fandom from the beginning. Huge Evan lover. And he unfortunately is camping this weekend, so cannot be here. But I am very excited to share this beautiful video. Lexy: and I'm be the importance of Kairo: My eyes. Lucy: that he sent. So bear with me. Here we go guys. That is pushing through. Did everyone get to finish it? Aleta: I miss Eddie in the chat. When we everettindustries: Yeah. Stevie: Yep. Lexy: you Aleta: used to when we used to fire sa at Greg's song lyrics back and forth in the chat. it was so Stevie: Yes. everettindustries: Yes. Aleta: fun. Lexy: I couldn't watch it because it Lucy: okay, but I was just gonna say for those who did watch, we miss Eddie. We haven't seen Eddie around for a while, but I really liked what they said about that they loved that Evan and Greg were openly queer. And he was getting to consume queer media with actual queer actors. So that was something that really resonated with me. I think he made a lot of good points. But yeah, so we're gonna pop him in after that. But if anyone else wants to say Lexy: So, I'm Lucy: anything about Eddie's video, now is the time. I'm gonna send one more. So another person that could not be here is Rod Botto. Rod Botto Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: was really amazing when Straight Until He Kissed Me came out was a reason a lot of us had lives to view when they went live. So we're Ginger: Yeah. Lucy: so thankful. Elle and I have a particular soft spot for Rod Botto. So we will be reading since Rod Botto was supposed to be here and cannot. Lexy: So Lucy: We will be reading some information that he gave us, so but I am gonna send this video over to you guys right now. Super cute. Not as long. And then Lexi, this is just an intro video. It doesn't have like the meat and potatoes like Eddie did. Kairo: Okay. Lucy: bro. Aleta: I miss Rodbotto too. Stevie: Me too. Lucy: I know. Good Ginger: Bye. Lucy: old Roe, my goodness. Ginger: I love him. Aleta: Ha ha ha. Lucy: So cute, so cute. so we have a group pre prep chat listeners and just we're all sharing how much Roe Kairo: Yeah. Lucy: was missed. Aleta: Mm. Lucy: so Roe did who was supposed to participate, did send us some text about their feelings on the fandom, how they got in, straight until he kissed me, and so Elle and I are gonna just read those out real quick. If you wanted to start, Elle, I'll k I'll finish. everettindustries: So I still can't believe how much this show, Evan, Greg and this absolutely insane little community have s come to mean to me. What started as a vertical LGBT drama I happen to watch between late nights, endless TikTok lives, laughter, drama, screaming at my phone, and some of the happiest memories I've made this past year. Evan and Greg are both such incredibly charismatic and talented people. Greg's music, Evan's amazing range and all the things he can do, but most of all the way they connect with people and make everyone feel hurt. I'll always be grateful Lexy: So. everettindustries: and I got to discover them. and then there's to the fandom, to Lucy, Everett Industries, Alita, Cairo, Maya, Eddie, Zo, Amethyst, and name to name a few more. And everyone else who made this journey so special. Thank you for the friendships, the chaos, the laughs and all the memories. Somehow being so far away, this community has always felt like a home. Kairo: is not wrong about that. Lucy: And that's right. Aleta: Yeah. Lucy: He says we stayed up way too late, sometimes Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: literally hiding from my partner, so I wouldn't get scolded for being awake at ridiculous Aleta: Ha ha ha. Ginger: Uh-uh. Lucy: hours. And I remember him telling me this. he would be like talking to me and he was like, I'm on my side in the bed and I can't Stevie: You Lucy: talk much longer. The light is bothering him. everettindustries: Okay. Aleta: Ha ha ha. Lucy: Just waiting for the boys to go live because just so you guys know, this okay, Evan, we love you, but Kairo: No. Lucy: okay, at the beginning, Aleta: Ha ha ha ha Lucy: and everyone here can understand this. Evan doesn't do schedules. We've known this man almost Aleta: Ha ha ha. Lucy: a year, and he loves to be spontaneous. And so now, Evan, you will know how much Rod Botto and I have suffered because we wanted your lives so bad. We would stay up till two or three in the morning and him and I are on Kairo: Yeah Lucy: like the same z time zone and we both had to like I we had to work and do stuff the next day, but we would stay up and we actually would s like stalk his live schedule just to get those recordings. I won't go into any deeper because it's just crazy. But everettindustries: Mm-hmm. Lucy: our methods worked and we Kairo: you Lucy: had most of those recorded, but we were tired people. But that's what he was talking about, is he's laying in bed, like just Aleta: Ha ha ha Ha Lexy: . Lucy: like, God, is Kairo: you Lucy: he gonna go live when he should be sleeping? So Aleta: Do you remember that live that Evan did when it there was the time change? And I was like in bed, the lights were out, my husband was asleep next to me, and I was just watching Evan's live, and it was just kept going, and then all of a sudden, it was midnight again, so he just kept going for another hour and a half. It was like Lexy: Thank you. Lucy: Anyway. everettindustries: I do have Lucy: I do remember that one. Lexy: So. Aleta: technically 2 30 in the morning, and I'm still watching his live. my god. Yeah. Kairo: I miss Evan. Ginger: Was that the one in hotel Lucy: Me too. Ginger: room? Lucy: the hotel room. I missed that one, but Evan caught it. Or not Evan. Ro caught it. So there is there is there is a there is something for it. Okay. and somehow every single time it was worth it. And it was, Ro. It was. What a year. Aleta: Yeah. Lexy: So. Lucy: So much fun, so much drama. True. So many memories and never a dull moment. Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: Happy first anniversary to all of us and a huge congratulations to the girls behind Besties New Verticals. Thank Kairo: Awwww. Lucy: you, buddy. Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: I absolutely love everything you create. Aleta: Ha ha. Lucy: Here's to the first year of this beautiful madness and hopefully many more. That was so good. Aleta: So sweet Aw we miss you. Stevie: So sweet. Lucy: I know. I really would have loved Eddie and Ro to be here, but Kairo: next time. Lucy: it's okay. It's okay. It's it's all good. Alrighty. Aleta: Alright. So we have a couple of little games to play. to first we're gonna test your succum Kairo: no. Aleta: knowledge with a couple of little trivia questions. you can be very grateful because I had some more and Lucy said that they were too hard. Lexy: So. everettindustries: Okay. Stevie: Ha! Lucy: They were hard. Here, let me let me just say what happened here. She's like, these are just so easy. And I just I think they're just so easy. And we'll just do them for the fandom one. And I'm like, okay. And I look at him and I was like, No. No, no, no, no, no. She's like, what's the color of this obscure thing and this obscure scene? And I'm like, right. And I'm like, people are gonna know that. So we kept it really simple. Myah: yellow. Lexy: What? Stevie: you Lucy: Just as an FYI and we got rid of like most of the questions. So this is this'll be Stevie: No. Lucy: fun and easy. Lexi was ready. Lexy: What? everettindustries: Right. Aleta: Okay, so if you if you know it, just the shout it out. everettindustries: Okay. Aleta: First of all, in what three ways does Amber think that Josh is better than Miles? everettindustries: Hotter, stronger. Ginger: richer than you, stronger than you, and Stevie: He's richer than you. Lexy: Harder than. everettindustries: Richard Olivia, yeah. Ginger: Hotter, Myah: Yeah. Ginger: richer, stronger. Aleta: No? Myah: remember it stronger. Aleta: Richer, taller, stronger. Lexy: thought of. everettindustries: Yeah. What's up? Lucy: A lot of people still remember that. Aleta: Yeah. He's richer than you, he's taller than you, he's stronger than you. Stevie: you and stronger than Kairo: My brain has completely Stevie: you. Kairo: blanked it out. I don't know when I last watched this vertical Lucy: That is okay. That's better it was a while for me too. Aleta: Does anyone Ginger: We like short kings. Aleta: remember the name of the assistant who was fired for drugging Hunter? Yay! everettindustries: Cindy Dragon. Aleta: Cinti Dragon. Myah: What was it? Ginger: Cindy Dragon. Lucy: I did not expect someone to get that so fast. Stevie: I didn't Lexy: It Stevie: know that at all. Lexy: is working. Kairo: L is going to be competition. Aleta: All right, this one's so easy. What job does Miles' father have? Lexy: Replace. Ginger: Yep, pastor. Kairo: us. everettindustries: Please. Stevie: Only the past. everettindustries: So Aleta: Yeah. Myah: yeah, he's a pastor. Kairo: yeah. Aleta: He is. He's an evil Kairo: Okay. Aleta: pastor, but anyway. Ginger: Yes. Aleta: And now, how many times does Miles say some variation of I'm not gay? Kairo: now you're testing. everettindustries: Well, we counted Ginger: like eight. Stevie: Well... Lexy: Was it like 13? everettindustries: I feel like there's seventeen eight Kairo: 13 and a half Myah: I'm just kidding. Kairo: 13 and a half is what I'm going Stevie: Ha ha ha. Kairo: with Lucy: Cairo said thirteen. Lexi, what did you say? Aleta: Cairo is right. Myah: Think 11. Ginger: How much was it? Kairo: 13 and a half. Lucy: Lexi, what did you say? Yep. Aleta: Thirteen times. Thirteen times plus one I'm not into dudes. Kairo: I only know that because I watched Stevie: I'm gonna move your team in a Ginger: Ha ha ha ha ha. Kairo: the video that Evan I think it was Evan posted of him just saying it over and over again Lexy: I also didn't know this part. Aleta: Ha ha. Stevie: you everettindustries: They've missed a few of them. They missed a few in that. I'm just saying. Yeah, Ginger: Like a tally count video Aleta: In the good chat did they? everettindustries: they missed a few in that. Aleta: shoot. I should have gone back and counted myself. everettindustries: Yeah, there there's a missed few. Aleta: okay. Myah: What was the answer? 35? Aleta: thirteen was the answer from the good chat. Ginger: What you- Myah: Close, I said 11. Lexy: 13. Aleta: Yeah. Lucy: Probably felt like thirty five. Aleta: 13 and then he one time he said, I'm not into dudes, and they only gave that a half point. But I think that's the same, frankly. But everettindustries: That's good. Lexy: So, Lucy: alright, guys. So for anyone who does listen to the podcast, we when we have guests, we like to do Would You Rather. And we really wanted to do that with you guys Succum edition. So, yeah, so I'm gonna round table and call you guys out. Alita and I will participate as well. So, Cairo, Lexy: thank So, thank Aleta: Ha ha ha. Lucy: knowing straight until he kissed me, right, Kairo: Mm-hmm. Lucy: as a whole. Would you rather be Miles or Hunter, knowing what they all went through? Kairo: Why would you do this to me? everettindustries: Yeah. Ginger: Mm. Myah: and I'm gonna go to sleep. Lucy: I'm doing it to everybody. Kairo: I would rather be Miles. Lucy: And why? Kairo: Purely because I get to kiss Hunter at the end of it, but... Lexy: That's it all for this one. everettindustries: I'm close. Kairo: Yeah, I don't have a butt I lied Myah: Yes, I will. Lucy: That's flight I was gonna say that's a full sentence, so Kairo: Yep. Lucy: we're good. Lexi, how about you? Stevie: you Lexy: Actually, would like to be, I'm gonna be annoying. I'd like to be the HR manager. Aleta: I was gonna say I'd like to be Fiona Stevie: Yes. Lucy: That's not those aren't options. They're not options, Hunter Lexy: okay, fine, fine. Ginger: You Lexy: Okay, fine. I'm a hunter. Lucy: or Miles. Aleta: Ha ha. Lucy: Is there a reason why? Lexy: because he's told in reach. everettindustries: Yeah. Lucy: Beautiful. Stevie. Stevie: I'd rather be Hunter, cause, you know, he's rich and also he doesn't get cupcakes smeared on his chest. I just feel like Evan, or Miles gets shit on too much. Aleta: Bullied so much, yeah. Ginger: Wim. Lucy: That's right. Maya? Myah: Okay, if I had to be a boy again, which not really enjoying that, but we'll just say I would rather be Hunter because like Kyra said, he gets to kiss miles. Aleta: Ha ha ha. Lucy: Ooh Well Myah: Myles is cute. Lucy: that's true. That's true. Ginger. Lexy: It's time to Ginger: feel bad because like nobody is saying Miles but I probably Kairo: I'm Ginger: would also say Hunter but Myah: You Ginger: mostly because Hunter comes from like a less traumatic background and he's able to be more confident in finding who he is in a very confident way whereas Miles is kind of gone through a lot of like bullying and probably religious trauma from his father and the closet thing and so he was really terrified to be anything other than what he knew. Kairo: you you Aleta: Mm-hmm. For sure. Lucy: Totally fair. Yes. L Kairo: Okay. everettindustries: Same with everyone else. go with Hunter. Ginger said it pretty well, but most of what Ginger said is what I was gonna say. but even just like having Ginger: haha everettindustries: having power to help Miles as well, 'cause we can help Aleta: Mm. everettindustries: Miles by being higher up. and like coming in to save Miles is always a great great one as well. We come in, save him Aleta: Mm. everettindustries: and then we're all good again. So definitely Hunter. Aleta: Mm. Lucy: And then and it is funny that you said ginger, I felt bad because no one was saying miles, but Cairo said miles, but yeah, Cairo's the only one. It's like kiss hunter. Ginger: Everybody else Stevie: Hehehehehe Kairo: I had to think Ginger: is Hunter, we're all Hunter but- Kairo: on my feet. Aleta: Ha ha ha. Lucy: That's okay. I'm sure I don't know, I'd be curious if Alita w Alita, what would you say? Aleta: Say Hunter for the same reasons. Like, we don't know much about his background, Stevie: Mm-hmm. Aleta: but so he could have trauma. His parents might be horrible, just like all the vertical parents are. But we don't know that. So, you know, Miles has the the horrible pastor father who tortured him and you know, all the bullying. So yeah, I I'd say Hunter for that reason. Myah: I would have Lucy: I will Myah: thought you would have said miles so that you get to kiss Hunter. Lucy: That's what I thought That's Aleta: No. everettindustries: Yeah. Lexy: So. Lucy: what I thought That's what I was saying. Ginger: I mean, honestly, like, they both get to kiss each other, so it's either or. Lucy: Fair, fair. I would say hunter because yes, I want to be rich and I was gonna completely go opposite with like what Kairo: You Lucy: Kyra said. I wanna kiss Miles. So Myah: You're gonna make it. Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: that's a full sentence. Anyway. everettindustries: Mm. Aleta: All right. Lucy: Moving on. Yeah. Would you rather eat mango cake? Lexy: Okay. So, Stevie: Yeah. Aleta: Ha ha ha. Lucy: when you're allergic to mangoes or get locked in this never finished. Or get locked in that's okay. Or get locked in a room that you can't get out of and no hunter is not in there with you. Cairo. Lexy: thank Kairo: Yes. Aleta: Changes the answer. Sorry. Lexy: Thank Lucy: That's right. So you wanna be locked in a room alone that you can't get out of, or do you wanna be eating mango cake when you're allergic to mangoes? Kairo: I would rather eat mango cake but this is purely because I live off of mangoes anyways. Lexy: Okay. Lucy: But what if you were allergic? Kairo: I don't care. Nothing will sacrifice my left from angles. Aleta: Ha ha ha. Lucy: Okay. Fair. Maya. Myah: Yeah, I'm going with Kyra on this. I would rather eat the mango cake. I hate being locked in places. I'm a free spirit. Lexy: Thank Myah: You know, I'm sure there's an EpiPen around. They had an EpiPen in Succum. Lexy: you Myah: So, you know, just give me the EpiPen. Don't trap me though. I don't like to be trapped. Nope. I'll go for the mango cake. Lucy: Fair L. everettindustries: I'm gonna say mango cake because I absolutely love mangoes and nothing's gonna stop me from eating something Kairo: You everettindustries: that I like. And as my there's an epi pen on hand somewhere. So mango Kairo: Cheers a whiz and a peepin. Aleta: Ha ha ha. everettindustries: cake. Lexy: Thank Lucy: Sensor? Lexy: you. Thank Ginger: Yeah, I'm gonna just go along and say the mango cake because like being trapped is like one of like my worst fears. It's like, don't, I hate elevators because I always feel like I'm going to get trapped in an elevator. Like it's my worst nightmare is Kairo: Yeah. Ginger: being trapped in an elevator. So that just reminds me of that. And that's just not okay. So was like, you could call an ambulance and they'll show up and they probably have an epi something. So yeah, everettindustries: Yeah. Ginger: no locking me in or anything. Myah: Mm-mm. Lexy: Thank Lucy: Stevie. Stevie: Okay, so I generally like small spaces, but I don't like the idea of not being able to get out. So I'm going with the mango cake. Even if I'm allergic, I've had enough EMS training, or not EMS, but you know, first aid training to know how to use an EpiPen, so I'll be alright. Kairo: You Lucy: Okay, Lexi. Lexy: I'm gonna say mango cake because you changed the whole thing because Hunter's not in there anymore. Ginger: Yeah, it was like... Lucy: Totally fair. Alita, that's right. That's right. Stevie: I really changed the game. Ginger: Why would you be trapped with no hot guy? Lucy: Right. We'd all be saying we're gonna be trapped then. Kairo: you Lexy: Yeah, right. Lucy: Alita. Aleta: Yeah, I mean I don't want to be trapped alone. So I guess we're all eating mango cake. Lexy: I'm sorry. Stevie: You Lucy: Yeah. I'm very claustrophobic. Stevie: gonna run out of puppy pins. Lucy: Yes, Round of Epi Pens. Yeah, I'm very claustrophobic. I I would have to also eat mango cake. Yes. Kairo: Can I add to my answer? I have also, could, Aleta: Yeah. Kairo: I technically could survive alone in a locked room, but I would get very bored very quickly and I think I'd start clawing at the wolves. So I chose my vocake. Lucy: Fair. Alright guys, last one. Would you rather date Kate the bully or Amber the ex-girlfriend? And whether you're gay or not, you gotta choose. L, you're going first. everettindustries: How many no. Aleta: Ha ha ha. Lexy: Thank everettindustries: I'm gonna go with Amber. I think. I think. I don't know, I just feel like Amber's not a bully per se. She's got some work in her, but she's not a full bully. So we're gonna go with Amber. Yeah. Lucy: Okay. Ginger. Ginger: Edstruff, they're both beautiful, honestly. Aleta: Ha ha. Ginger: But then, there is Kate being a bully, but then there is Amber, who cheated. So, it's just, I mean... I guess just being cheated on and then getting on with it and then getting on with your life would be fine other than like relentless continued bullying. So I guess Amber. Lexy: So, thank Lucy: Okay, okay. Maya Myah: Neither. Aleta: Ha ha ha. everettindustries: That's it. Lucy: You gotta choose. Myah: No, okay. Honestly, the bully one because I can deal with bullies and I'm not a weakling. So if they tried to bully me, I would just be like, no, screw off. Like you can't bully me. I'm not weak in the slightest. So I'll deal with the bully, but I don't deal with cheaters because cheaters are gross and no cheaters in my world. Nope. I'll deal with the bully. Lexy: Thank you. Thank Kairo: You Lucy: Fair. T V Lexy: Sorry. Stevie: I feel like I don't want to choose Kate because she's so mean but Amber's kind of an airhead and I could not deal with that. That's a deal breaker right there. So I guess Kate, is there like a term limit on this? Like when can I bring up with her? everettindustries: Okay. Aleta: There is that. Kairo: So. Aleta: Yeah. Lucy: You could break up with her in a day. Okay. Lexi. everettindustries: What? Stevie: Okay, we're going with gag. Myah: Okay, bye. Ginger: All Lexy: I would go with the bully because, because I believe that, you know, if you've been bullied or are bullied, it, it actually in some ways makes you stronger. So, yeah, I'd prefer to date the bully and then, you know, kick it at the curb the next day. Ginger: Mm. Lucy: Cairo. Kairo: I would pick Kate and that's really because I don't support cheaters and I would never want to be a cheater. Lucy: Fair very fair. Alita Aleta: Yeah, I don't know. I guess Kate too, for the same reasons everyone else said. I've been cheated on, it was not fun. Kairo: Same. Same. Aleta: So, you know, let's let's not Ginger: don't know if I have. Aleta: revisit that. Lucy: I'm gonna say Kate, but just cause she's hot and I can fix her. I can fix her guys. I can change her, okay? Lexy: you Aleta: You can't you Kairo: You Aleta: cannot fix them. Kairo: can't fix them. No. Stevie: you Lucy: I can fix her. Ginger: She is hot, though. Lucy: I actually every time I watch Straight Until He Kiss Me, I just love her more and more. And not in terms of like she's a good person, but I'm just like, you're so fucking sassy. And you're such a bitch! I know. Ginger: Yeah... Despite all of her faults, she is quite, like, clever and witty. Stevie: Yeah, that is true. Kairo: I mean, she is the reason those shirts exist. Lucy: Thank you. There's some like hair flips and some sauntering. That's right. Stevie: That's true, she did say twinkle links. Ginger: You're a twinkle ink. You frickin' twinkle ink. Lucy: Wink a link. And then you guys probably know the backstory. They her Aleta: The muggers. Lucy: and Evan worked that out together, it sounds like. Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: Which is really cute. Well, thank you guys for Aleta: Why? Lucy: playing that one. I think we have one more game. Aleta: Yes. So this one is a little different. Wrong answers only. So Kairo: here we go. Stevie: God. Aleta: what's the next line after this and whatever funny thing pops into your head? When okay, first one is when Kate tells Miles to get her into Hunter's bed fast and then she whispers in his ear, what did she say? Lucy: Alright, I'll say it. She says I like peanuts. And that's it. Aleta: Peanuts or Lucy: Peanuts pe nuts Stevie: you Lucy: with a T enunciating peanuts. Aleta: dear. Okay, these Ginger: you Aleta: ones might be too hard. Kairo: Yeah Aleta: The second one is what business are you gonna make everybody do it? Lucy: Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa don't don't be moving on. You have a whole bunch of other people to ask. Yes, this is a round robin. Stevie: No, there's no need for that. Lucy: We are hanging out. my gosh, Lexy: Okay. Lucy: Alita's Alita's not going with the flow. So Ginger, what wrong answer only. Ginger: I would say... And no, you're not invited. Kairo: Thank you. Lucy: What does he s what does she say? Lexy: Whoa! Myah: Thank Aleta: good Lucy: I like Aleta: one. Stevie: That's good. Lucy: it. Stevie: That can't be topped. We need to just move on with our day. Lucy: She might have really said that though. Aleta: Ha ha That cannot be typed. Lexy: Random approval. Lucy: Yeah. Maya. Myah: I need his semen to take six months leave in my cavern. Lucy: I've really said that. Kairo: Maya! Lucy: We can say this, we're an explicit podcast. Just Stevie: No! Lucy: know Evan and Greg might watch this. You're allowed Myah: I should have asked, we allowed to say things like that? Lucy: to say whatever the hell you want. Stevie: Yeah Myah: Okay. Ginger: Okay. everettindustries: Three. Aleta: We we are explicit. Kairo: You Myah: So I should have said nine months leave. Lucy: No Ginger: them. Lucy: Cairo, do you have something that's a wrong answer? Kairo: The first thing that popped into my head was I like mangoes so there we go I guess. Lucy: I like mangoes. I like your mangoes, Miles. Lexy: Thanks. Stevie: you Myah: I think Miles likes Greg's mangoes. Kairo: No! Lucy: That's right. Ginger: Jesus! Stevie: Hahahaha Kairo: you Myah: Pinterest mangoes. Lucy: Hunters, hunters, Vegas. Stevie: Okay, Lucy: Stevie Stevie: god, no, I this was coming. Kairo: you Stevie: want my eggs fertilized. Lexy: Bye. Myah: This is the most I was thinking along the lines of... Ginger: I mean, yeah. would be a way to trap him. Stevie: my god, yeah that's Maya's fault. That's Maya's fault, I was gonna Lucy: That's okay. Stevie: say something different, but... Lucy: Kate really could have said all these things. It's very true. Alita. Aleta: Don't worry, you can go next. Lexy: Thank Lucy: Wow. Kairo: Okay! Stevie: Wow! Lexy: Thank Lucy: Okay, okay. That's right. Ginger: That would be so nice of her. Lexy: Thank you. Aleta: so generous. good. everettindustries: I've got mine now. I've got mine now. Lucy: All right, let's do it. everettindustries: The abbreviation for straight until he kiss me suck him. Ginger: Suck it! Lucy: That is so good. It's so good. These were some good ones and Alita was trying to move us on past this like tea, like this perfect opportunity. Kairo: I feel hurt. I feel hurt. everettindustries: Yeah. Lucy: Yeah, that's right. So Alita, you keep going, Stevie: You Lucy: but I'm just saying, like, let's talk to everybody. Aleta: Okay, all right. Well sure. Lexy: I thought I won! Stevie: Yay! everettindustries: Looks same. Lexy: The assistant manual can't help. Lucy: Me? Aleta: Ha Ginger: Ha Aleta: ha ha. Ginger: ha ha. Myah: Okay. Lucy: I like it, Lexi. We did miss somebody. Stevie: Well done. Lucy: We didn't miss anybody else, right? We got everyone? Aleta: Did get ginger? everettindustries: Yeah. Ginger: Yeah, I said you're not invited. Aleta: Yeah, okay, good. yeah, yeah, good, good, good. Lucy: Yeah. Yeah, that was good. That was good. Stevie: No. Lucy: All right. All right, guys. We're gonna go on another round table here and ask you two questions. So let this marinate in your mind as we go through. What is your favorite moment from Straight Until He Kissed Me? And what do you love about Evan and Greg? And I think we should start with Elle? everettindustries: my favorite part I think is just at the very last scene is when you can finally tell they're happy, you know, they've gotten all the worst parts out of the way, they're smiling, just fully in love. I think that was the best scene. Lexy: Okay. Lucy: Aww. and what do you love about Greg and Evan? Kairo: I think what everettindustries: I think I love how genuine they are. Like they're not afraid to be themselves. and how genuine they are with us as well as a fan like fandom. I think they're just very, very kind. They understand, I think, from both a fan perspective and from a perspective, like how interacting goes, like, you know, there's lots of people that don't interact with their fans and we're very, very lucky that they do. so I think that's probably my favorite thing is Lexy: Thank you. everettindustries: like they are very genuine, like they just are incredible and yeah. Lexy: you Lucy: Stevie, what's your favorite moment of suck and what do you love about Greg and Evan? Stevie: So my favorite moment in Succum is in the car after the cupcakes when they blow out the candle. I think it's like... a really great moment for the two of them because they had both been so adamant previously that they don't like men but you can you can like really see the spark in that in that moment and then what i like best about greg and evan is like a couple things how they embrace the fandom they I think they really realized what they had been able to accomplish with this show and and saw what it meant to all of us and they really I guess took it and run with took it and ran with it and really embraced us and you know gave us a place to get together and talk about it and just be a community. And then also how well they took what could have been like a really silly script. Like it had like a lot of potential to just be like a throwaway, you know, just like a classic, you know, ad vertical that like just gets made and then, you know, people watch it and then you forget about it. I think they portrayed the characters so well and I just yeah... I hope that makes sense. Lucy: It makes sense. It makes sense. Maya. Myah: Okay, so I think kind of like Cairo, it's kind of a general like overall, how much they support each other throughout, like even at the beginning, like, they're just always supporting each other, but then it of does go into a specific scene. So the scene in the closet when they get locked in, and he starts panicking and you see Greg like hold him and like comfort him and like, you know, it ends up leading to a make out session, but it's just so real and like, you know, that support and that love and that care, it's, just such a touching thing to see. And it was really well acted. Like I, I truly believed that he was having a panic attack and they were channeling some real things there. Aleta: Mm. Myah: and what I like about them, they're both just so supportive of people and just really like genuine and kind. And I mean, Specifically with Greg, he's made it very clear like how much he supports his trans fans, which I think is amazing. You know, and he's like posted on his Instagram about like, you know, trans women are women and you know, I'll go to bat for my trans fans and stuff. So like that means a lot to me as a trans woman for someone to like be willing to fight that much and stuff and to post that in a public forum. Without getting too deep into it, I think that if it's it's safe to do so that if you have a public forum, you should try to support bands that are different, you know? And Evan's just not as vocal about supporting trans fans, but I do know that he does welcome everybody and he's just very inclusive. So I appreciate that about him. And you know, I've never felt ostracized or anything. yeah. Lucy: Love it. Ginger. Ginger: actually have like the same favorite scene as Maya, that closet scene, like the storage room I mean, specifically because, it was a very like raw moment, because I have really bad panic attacks and I just saw myself. Lexy: Thank Ginger: in Evan's portrayal and just that was very like meaningful to me personally and then like What I like about, cause I know they put like all of themselves in that moment and, and Evan, said himself that he put himself in a specific, Lexy: Thank Ginger: like memory to just push that through. And then at, at the end of it, he had to do his self-hypnosis to reground himself. So like mental health. Lexy: Thank Ginger: is a very important thing to me. and Greg and Evan both have been phenomenally kind to me and to everyone I feel like, who has been going through anything mental health wise or otherwise, just very like helpful, like with, Lexy: And I'm going read it out loud. everettindustries: Okay. Ginger: compassion and tips like with Evan and his hypnosis and just trying to make sure everybody feels included and it's just been a very like comforting experience to be a part of this fandom and I Lexy: Thank you. Ginger: can't thank them or any of you enough for what it's done for me. Lucy: Ginger. we love you. Aww Ginger: love you guys. Lucy: Lexi, do you have something now? Lexy: I do. I thought about it bit more. I'd have to say definitely the last part when they're sitting on the chair, the desk, and you know, they're both so happy and Evan has his angel baby girl moment. The smile. then Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lexy: yeah, the lift up onto the desk. That was probably my favorite. hmm. So I the boys because just like before I... came into the sort of the fandom and everything. I never really had a lot of the social media aspect of everything. It was mostly just Facebook. And when I realized that they were very, you know, interacted with their fans and like the cameos are amazing. Like I've had one from each of them. I had a birthday one from Evan, which was just amazing. And I had an anniversary one from Greg, which was just awesome and I re-watch them occasionally, you know, I'm not feeling the best or just need to pick me up and just yeah and to and the fact that they brought in such a big, you know, big fandom for this Lucy: Yeah. Lexy: show was just amazing and I just love all you guys so much because it's just brought such a different community and I feel so loved. So thank you. Lucy: So Alita. Aleta: Okay. Well, I was going to say the scene in the car, but then also the scene after the car when Hunter takes him back to his house and he carries him in, which Ginger: Yeah. Aleta: and he just shows like it it's really clicked in his head how much he cares and he's so worried about Miles. yeah, I really like that scene and also it's very Yeah. Anyway. It's very that one scene where he runs his hand down Miles's chest gets used a lot in edits. but yeah, no. He really shows his his that that switch has been made in his head and how much he how much he really truly cares about him. So I like that. and I dunno what don't we like about Greg and Evan. They are such s like everyone said, such kind, compassionate people. It's really so important to both of them to have created this community that's so inclusive and welcoming and of everyone. And yeah, they're just they're fantastic. We love them. Lucy: They we do love them. my favorite so I have a lot Aleta: Sure. Lucy: of favorite scenes, but the one I was gonna mention on this podcast Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: was when Miles is giving Hunter so Miles is Lexy: Thanks. Lucy: giving Hunter the checkup. And to be honest, I just love the intense eye contact. Lexy: So, thank Lucy: I loved Aleta: Mm. Lucy: the way the camera angles went for those scenes. Aleta: Mm. Lucy: I just I don't know. It was just really well done. So kudos to Die, the director, too. That's probably one of my top favorite moments. And yes, gets used a lot in edits because you can't help it. It's too good. and then what do I love about Greg and Evan? Exactly like Alita said, it's hard to find something to dislike about them. They like a few people have said, They have done something a lot of other actors have not. So their fan engagement was top notch right away from the beginning. They were really responsive to people's questions. They Evan has never denied anybody advice. So if you've been on his lives and you had something going on, that man will talk about you and like for you and give you advice for like twenty damn minutes. So Lexy: Thank you. Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: these are just the type of people. that Greg and Evan are. so we're just we're thankful for Greg and Evan for all of the kindness that they've shown all of us as fans. And of the highs and the lows that have happened this past year, they've been kind of knee deep in it with some of that as well. So the fact that they still want to interact with us as fans and they still love us and they're still there for us. We're just really thankful. So those are some of the reasons I adore them besides Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: their work, of course. Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: You know. Aleta: There's also that that part of that Lucy: Kyra's there. Aleta: scene that that you mentioned, Lucy, I really Kairo: you Aleta: love the shot through the bookcase when Miles goes up to take the book and Hunter appears behind him and that's just really beautifully done. Lucy: Super good. It is. Cairo, you in a good place? Kairo: Yeah. Lucy: Okay. Do you wanna just repeat what your f well, you don't have to repeat if you don't want to what your favorite Lexy: Thank Lucy: 'cause I can probably fit that in. But do you wanna Kairo: Okay. Lucy: say what you love about Greg and Evan? Kairo: The thing that actually is OK if I just read you my answer. Aleta: Yeah. Lucy: Please go for it. Kairo: Okay, so what was the Lexy: Thank Kairo: questions again? Lucy: The questions were what was your favorite moment from Straight Until He Kissed Me? And what do you love about Evan and Greg? Kairo: So my favorite moments from Straight into the New Case Me was I think it was kind of when Hunter was starting to realize that yes, he did have feelings for Miles and the change that happens within him because he starts to become a lot more caring towards Miles. And at the end scene, I think Elle has mentioned this, but at the end scene you could tell that they had overcome everything. They were so happy. And it's like nothing could stop them again. And my favourite thing about Greg and Evan is mostly that they created the subscriber chats and just the way that they are because... And I think a lot of it is down to how Greg and Erin are just in general. The way they interact with us all the time, no matter what happens, they'll never let anyone feel as if they're just a fan. They'll always try the best to include every single person. And obviously my rivalry with Greg is probably my favorite song. So yeah, it's just if Straight Into A Kiss Me never happened and if Greg and Evan hadn't have made the subscriber chats I don't think a lot of things in my life would have gone the way they were if that didn't happen. Lucy: Yeah. Kairo: So. Lucy: Absolutely. It's beautiful. Aleta: None of us would know each other. We wouldn't be here having this Kairo: And this podcast wouldn't exist. Aleta: yeah. Lucy: No. No desire to do a podcast until Alita started babbling about it. And I was like, fine. that was beautiful though, Cairo. right? Aleta: Like we could do this. Stevie: did. Lucy: Cairo, are you in a pretty good place to move to the next segment? Okay. Alright, guys. So Cairo is completely correct that a lot of things would Lexy: So, I'm Lucy: Have been very different for us if it wasn't for Greg and Evan making the decisions that they've made. And I have said this to both of them as many times as possible, and I will probably continue to say it to them. Lexy: to Lucy: So before we get into our final segment, we would like to take a moment to honor one of our fellow Twinkle Links who has passed away. Amethyst was one of us, and she was particularly special to Cairo. Lexy: So, thank Thank you. Lucy: So Cairo, I know there was something you wanted to share about your girl. Kairo: I mean, if you had asked me to talk about Amethyst, think I would never let you guys get off this podcast because she meant so much to me and she was just the best girl ever. She always, it was like if she walked into a room, she would have eyes on her and she enjoyed it. She was the type of girl that you'd speak to one time. Lexy: I'm to Kairo: and she changed your entire life just in one conversation. Nobody hated her and she was just the kind of girl that you needed in your life and I am so grateful that I got to love her for the time that she was here because I will never forget Lexy: Thank Thank you. Kairo: her. Lexy: Thank you. Lucy: We won't either. I'm with you, Cairo. We were going to say go ahead. Kairo: and There was something by Greg, actually, that he put in the chat that I wanted to read if that was okay. Lucy: Please, please do. Kairo: This is going to make me cry anyways. This was sent, I think it was just after New Year's. But he says, hi besties, happy New Year. I just want to take a moment to acknowledge how heavy my heart is to learn about Amethyst's passing. I didn't know them personally, but they were such a beautiful presence in our community. Such a light through all the comments and interactions brightening up a world that can often feel like such the opposite, especially for the more marginalized. And then he goes on to speak and he says, I can't tell you how grateful I am for this community and how much it means to me to feel your support and see you come together around things that matter most. I love you all and will do everything I can to make the world a little bit brighter just like I'm the love Gregor's, which was actually the nickname that she came up with and he started calling himself that and then it became a thing. And then Lucy, do you want to expand on the Gregor's government? Lexy: Thank Aleta: Mm. Lucy: Well, I I was just trying to come up with the damn name. So it was supposed to I was I was like, hey guys, let's Stevie: Thank you. Lucy: be Greg's little monsters. And here comes Courtney. She's like, no, that is Lady Gaga's. And so then we just I was like, fine. I wanted to be a monster. So Aleta: Ha ha Lucy: we were gremlins and it's just derailed. And then just for those that are not in those chats, there is some infighting, jokingly. Because Alita was like, No, we're Duffies. And so there's Duffies versus Gremlins. But Greggel's Gremlins Kairo: you Aleta: Greg said we're Duffies. I just I just follow our illustrious leader. Lucy: very much he said he loves Gremlins. He loves Gremlins. And Stevie: Yeah. Lucy: Amethyst was so on board with Greggel's Gremlins, damn it. So I'm just saying. Aleta: Ha ha ha. Ginger: Ha Aleta: Greg loves us arguing about it. Lucy: Cairo, think Yeah, he does. Lexy: Thank Thank Stevie: Yeah. Kairo: Yes. Lucy: Cairo, that was beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing that and reminding us how Greg chose to honor her and continues to choose to honor her. Both Greg and Evan, you know, were very aware of what happened to one of their twinkle links, and they are always there to honor her in lives and in DMs and on subscriber chats. So we're so thankful, and that's just the type of people they are. Kairo: she'll continue living on through me no matter what and no matter how difficult it gets I know that she's always standing by me. Lucy: Cairo, are you in a good place for me to ask if anyone else has anything they want Lexy: And that's why I'm so happy to be today. Lucy: to say? Yeah. Does anyone have anything else they want to say? I know a lot of us knew amethyst, but this would be the time to jump in. Stevie: I just want to say I still miss her... her gift blasts in the chats. And just coming back to chat and finding like 20,000 gifts and being like, I don't know what happened. But Amethyst was here. We always knew when Amethyst was here. Yep. Yep. And she was... she was so... Lexy: I'm going to start the presentation. Aleta: Mm. Kairo: Yes. Lucy: Yep. Notifications blew up. Kairo: Thank you. Aleta: Mm. Stevie: She was so full of life, you know what I mean? Like, she was always... Yeah. Lucy: Really was. Stevie: said. Ginger: I say sh- Lucy: Does anyone else have Lexy: So, Lucy: the yeah, ginger. Myah: you Ginger: I would say that she was always very welcoming. she was very sweet, always the first person I feel to say hi and just like greet everybody and kind of like sided to have everybody around. And that was very like important to me because I always feel kind of like, ooh, people Kairo: you Ginger: are just putting up with me. or like, ooh, I don't know if I belong here. And she was one Kairo: Yes! Ginger: of the people that first made me think, I, somebody does care that I'm here, you know? And so, and that was important. And I think that, again, Kairo: Okay. Ginger: mental health and this community to support each other is very important. And... Lexy: Okay. Kairo: Okay. Ginger: helpful and I just... She is definitely... Miss. Lucy: Absolutely. Myah: just going to say that first off, Ginger, you absolutely belong. Lexy: you Myah: Anyone who makes Ginger: haha Myah: you feel like you don't belong isn't worth Kairo: you Myah: your time. What? Stevie: you Aleta: Send them our way. I said send them our way if they make you feel like you don't belong. Myah: Exactly. We will show them wrong because you do belong. Stevie: Bye. Myah: And about Amethyst, there's two Ginger: Thank you. Myah: things. One was her dirty mindedness rivaled even my own, which is saying Stevie: Yeah. Aleta: Ha ha ha. Myah: a lot because I'm pretty dirty minded. But Amethyst was Stevie: you Myah: probably the dirtiest mind I've ever met and I loved Aleta: Mm-hmm. Myah: her for it. Yeah. Kairo: That's my girl. Myah: And the second thing was she never put up with anyone's crap. She told it like it is. And sometimes bluntness is Lexy: Thank Thank Myah: absolutely what the world needs. Someone didn't just be like, no, Kairo: you Myah: that is not true. And you're causing everyone to be sad. So you can just go, there's the door. I loved her for that. Like she would never Kairo: you Myah: put up with people being bullies and stuff. And it was wonderful. Kairo: Ciao. Lexy: The G-list chat will always be known as G-Spot Lucy: Great. Lexy: chat today. Aleta: Mm-hmm. Stevie: You Lucy: That's right. The G spot chat. Kairo: you Myah: Yep. Stevie: Thank Lucy: We need Greg to actually change it to the G spot chat. I've been waiting for him to do it. Aleta: Ha ha ha ha. Myah: Thank you. Stevie: laughs Ginger: hahahaha Kairo: I'm pretty sure if I ask him he will do it. Lucy: You probably would. You probably would. everettindustries: I was just gonna say that I think she was the light in all our chats. Like I mean I was spammed with those gifts while I was at work and I could feel the vibration on the side of my It was definitely Ginger: just buzzing in your pocket zzzz everettindustries: It was definitely a crazy time. but she made everyone feel welcome no matter who they were. Even when they were starting things, she'd still be nice to them the next day. Like, you know, she was Lexy: So, thank Aleta: Mm-hmm. everettindustries: A c a kind goal, always. Lexy: Thank you. Lucy: Absolutely. Yes. Aleta: She always brought the party. Stevie: Yes, you did. everettindustries: Yes. Lucy: Alita. Lexy: Thank you. Aleta: Well, yeah. She yeah, she just always brought fun and light and laughter and Kairo: Thank Aleta: I'm not gonna say what she used to call me. You are not gonna say it. Kairo: Hi. Thanks. Ginger: Mm. Lucy: I'm gonna say it, so you better say it. Yes, I am. I was already planning on it. everettindustries: Yeah. Aleta: But Ginger: Hmm. Aleta: yeah. Yeah, she was a sweetie. Lucy: So she calls her mommy poodle. Kairo: Okay. Aleta: You don't need to do that. Ha Lucy: Yes, we need to do that. And when she wanted to torture Alita, she would blast poodle gifts like Kairo: you Stevie: you Lucy: constantly just to antagonize her. Aleta: Ha ha Stevie: you Lucy: And what was so cute with Cairo and Amethyst is it was like this slow build of like grabbing parents in the chat. And eventually it was just like this permanent thing of like Alita is mom. And it was just really cute. It was just Kairo: Okay. Aleta: Yeah. Lucy: This is a good relationship. And and I was gonna say with Amethyst, what was so amazing about her is exactly what Maya was saying. I I am a very dirty-minded individual as well. And so just having she felt like a kindred spirit to me. She reminded me a lot of what I was like in my 20s. I was very, very similar. There was a lot of worrying about Amethyst. Kairo: Thank Lexy: Sure. Thank Ginger: Hehehe. Kairo: Yes. Lucy: Because Amethyst enjoyed t enjoyed partying. She enjoyed that part of her Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: life very much and would share her escapades with us. And, you know, the us old ladies in the chat would be like, my gosh! Be careful. That's right. So definitely like it just firework, that is for sure. And it was really beautiful. I think something that I think about a lot with Amethyst was Lexy: Thank Stevie: you Myah: Let us know when you get home safe. Stevie: Damn. Aleta: Yeah. Lucy: You not a I think we talked about it maybe on one other podcast episode, but Kairo: Thank Lucy: a love story did bloom because of Succum. You know what I mean? If Evan and Greg had made the choices that they made, Cairo and Amethyst wouldn't have been able to build such a great relationship and love and we got to build friendships, but Cairo got to build this amazing relationship and know this human being in such a wonderful way. And we were so lucky, I think Lexy: Thank you. Lucy: The world was better because she was there. Myah: Thank Kairo: My world was definitely Lucy: And that's Kairo: better when she was here. Lucy: Exactly. Exactly. So thank you guys for taking that time to talk about our lovely amethyst and how amazing she definitely was and touched our lives. So we appreciate that. We appreciate you, Cairo. Kairo: And thank you guys. And thank you guys for giving me that time. And like, thank you for speaking about her because I think at this part of my grief, in my journey of grief, I needed that. Like I haven't really got the opportunity to talk about how much except for with her best friends. And I think just having that right now just really made all the difference. So thank you guys so much. Stevie: Thank you. Lucy: We love you. We adore you. Ginger: She was an important Kairo: I hope you guys too. Ginger: part of our fandom's history. Lucy: Ginger, say that again? Ginger: She was an important part of our Kairo: you Ginger: fandom's history. Lucy: Absolutely. Absolutely. Alita, do you want to jump into the next segment and then Kyro can jump on with the question? Aleta: Sure. All right. And we'd love to hear what Straight Until He Kissed Me means to each of you. Maya, let's start with you. Myah: Okay. well, it means that like it's the, someone said it earlier, but we're not for that vertical. We would not have met. We would not have connected. I wouldn't Lexy: Thank Myah: have made such amazing friends. you know, then continued on like finding common interests and learning more about each other. And honestly, for all the Lexy: Thank you. Myah: other things that came with it. Just meeting all of you was like worth Lexy: So. Myah: it to like go through whatever else had to happen. Like the work came out of it was so amazing. also it just, was another queer thing. Like it was one of the first queer verticals, not the first, but one of the first. And it really just opened up a lot of doors for more queer verticals and more queer actors to start. doing verticals and it just opened up so many doors for other people and just made people like me, a trans lady from Canada, feel more included and feel more like, you know, celebrated and just, yeah, it did a lot for a lot of people. Aleta: Lexi, what about you? Lexy: yeah, the same, the same type of thing. Like if it hadn't been for, straight until he kissed me, like I wouldn't have met all you wonderful people. And just having that, I suppose, you know, not, not so much a separate from like real life that you can sort of like, you know, it's as, it's as same as a book really, even though that you're real. Like, you know, you have that other life that you can dive into and really sort of like connect and, you know, talk about what you like and that because, you know, you have your real life life where, you know, I have my family and all that, but it's nice to be able to kind of tear away from that for a while and just connect with, you know, people that enjoy what you enjoy. it's, I mean, Strangling 50 wasn't my first, queer vertical, like it was my second, but, yeah, it was, something that I really, you know, we all enjoy and if I hadn't been for it, I wouldn't have met all, everyone. So thanks. Aleta: Mm-hmm. Stevie, what about you? Stevie: So big picture, Sukhum is like, and it's such a great example of how queer media can be. It can be like campy and fun and happy and it doesn't have to be like, bury your gaze, you know? And then smaller picture, just even in my own life, I don't know what I would do without you guys. Like I know I've been like sort of in and out. for a little bit, but like when all the drama was happening in June with my job and all of that, guys, our group chat was literally the first, you guys Myah: you Stevie: were the first people I told, like this was, you guys were the first people in my life that I was like, I know they'll be able to help me and comfort me in this crazy, crazy time. I just have to thank the universe and Greg and Evan and Director Dai and you know, Aleta: Mm-hmm. Stevie: good short for you know, and all of you guys for bringing this to me. I'm being over-calmed. Talk about yourselves. Lucy: God. I Aleta: Ha ha. Lucy: know. Aleta: Ginger, what does it mean to you? Ginger: Well, this vertical as well as this BL community is really important and has been made me more comfortable with my own sexuality because I am bisexual and it was kind of always just in the back round of who I was, I didn't really talk about it, didn't fully actualize it, and it took me a long time to get there and be more comfortable with being outright with it Lexy: you Ginger: because I am in Lexy: Thank Ginger: a heterosexual relationship at the moment so I'm like, it doesn't even matter, you know? But then this helped me realize that it does matter, because it's a part of who I am. And what really got me was one of those lines where it was like, if you really like someone, gender shouldn't matter at all. And that really stuck with me, because that just reminded me that it is important. to fully actualize who you are and how you feel. And that was a game changer for me. I'm 29, so it took me a long time to get there. And this community just helped me so much in getting to just... fully be who I am. And that is just something that I am so, so grateful for. And that's what it means to me. Lucy: It's beautiful. Aleta: Everett Industries everettindustries: I think as an ally I have enjoyed watching people f figure out themselves and find comfort in the show to help them figure out themselves. and then outside of just the show in general is of course meeting everybody. Lexy: you everettindustries: I wouldn't have met any of you if it wasn't from Strain Tully Kiss Me. And someone who doesn't have any friends who like all the BL things. I loved having friends that I could talk about BL everything about, and finding my people who can talk to about that. but yeah, obviously I haven't been around as much full time job and stuff, but I know I always have you guys always Aleta: Always. Lucy: Yep, a hundred percent. Lexy: Thank you. Aleta: Lucy Lucy: What does straight until he kissed me mean to me? Well, I think a lot of you guys touched on it. What it really, I think, means to me is it sounds weird, but hope, right? Like something Eddie said really stuck with me. He's like, I didn't see a whole lot of queer media with queer actors, right? And so that really stuck with me when we did learn that Evan. is a queer man, you know, he's gay. Greg is gay. And I feel Lexy: Thank Lucy: like that's why Straight Until He Kissed Me resonated with so many Lexy: you Lucy: of us in different ways than other BL have, right? Because Lexy: Thanks. Lucy: we've seen BL. They're very clearly straight actors doing BL. You know what I mean? And you can tell most of the time. So to have something that would felt so genuine and like they put They obviously cared about it, right? Like this was not something that was just a job for them. Like they were like, No, we want to tell this story. And they worked hard to make sure that the script that they were given was at the end of it after filming Lexy: Thanks. Lucy: was something that could be consumed. And I feel like Straight Until He Kiss Me is one of the most rewatched BLs. You know, it also means a found family because I, you know, I know a lot of us. Don't always get to chat about what we're going through, but I had the craziest last two years of my life. And I have been continuously held above water just by the love of this community. And again, Lexy: to come. Thank you. Lucy: that's all Greg and Evan. I I whatever decisions they made to get them there, whoever wrote the script, however the universe came together, this is the result of it. You know, good short, die. The writer of Straight Until He Kissed Me, Greg and Evan, this is the result of it. A bunch of fans, a lot of us, not they're not all even here. They love Straight Until He Kiss Me. They love you. They love BLs. And there's Lexy: Thank Lucy: a lot of love in this fandom for each other. And that's all you guys. So that's and and I did want to touch on the the bisexuality gender. Lexy: So. Lucy: So I am I am pansexual and it's Lexy: Thanks. Lucy: so hard you don't realize how odd it can be to navigate that part of yourself, especially in the queer community. So I do hope you don't think if you would have to navigate it and it would be hard, but it actually is. There's a lot of biphobia and I hope that more BLs will address that, right? We we all assume Miles is actually bisexual. And so technically we had some bisexual representation. Which was kind of nice. But yeah. Ginger: That was very nice, I think. And... Lexy: Thank you. Ginger: It's just really important, I think, for this, hopefully, vertical space to continue helping people and just like... to represent different sexualities. Lucy: I agree. Ginger: in this very like... positive way. Aleta: Mm. Lucy: Yeah. And we do we've talked about it a few times, but we would love to see trans representation as well. Non binary representation. That's right. We'd love to see it all. Aleta: Yeah. Myah: Yes. Lucy: Alita, do you wanna read Cairo's response? 'Cause Aleta: Sure. Lucy: I think we hit everybody but you and Cairo. Aleta: So Cairo said the moment I found straight until he kissed me, I didn't know how my life would change. This vertical series was my first one and I truly didn't imagine I'd end up in the position I am in today, surrounded by the people Myah: . Aleta: I love and they love me. Second will always be that vertical drama to me because I was admitted to hospital around six days later, and honestly, having that fandom space was I was able to distract myself from the reality around me at the time. Time went on, things got worse, but I still had you guys, even when I had my heart torn out of my chest when Amethyst left. I've been distant from the community a little with what I've been through, but the community has never let me feel like I've missed anything. This vertical created a safe fandom space that I can always come back to no matter what. Thank you, Greggles and Evan, for everything, and I thank my friends for everything they've done for me. And most of all I thank Amethyst for the love she gave me when she was here, and continues to. Lucy: Aww. Thank you, Cairo. Think you're last, Alita? Aleta: So ha I'm lost. Well I just I think Strange Tilly Kiss Me just I just love the love story and and you know, I as as a s as a straight person I don't get the same things that other people may get from it. But as a parent I think that the representation is so important. All of the boys have spoken about how they wish they could have seen this when they were young, you know, they wish that they had had this content and this, you know positive example of what could be, you know, because unfortunately we're we're still in a world where a lot of queer youth don't feel like they Lexy: Thank Aleta: are safe. They don't feel like they can see themselves in everettindustries: Okay. Aleta: in the shows that that are out there. So I I really as a parent I think that's so important. And yeah my life would be very different and a lot quieter Lexy: Thank you. Aleta: and I wouldn't wouldn't be doing a podcast with Lucy. Lucy: Ha ha ha. Aleta: and yeah, everyone has just come to mean so much to me in Lexy: See. Aleta: such a short time, really. I I feel like it we just all got very close very quickly in a way that you don't necessarily outside of of this sort of a group and I really appreciate all of you and all of the other people that we Lexy: Thank Aleta: know and love in the fandom because it's just a little little corner of us here today but there are Lexy: Thank Aleta: so many more and thank you all for making me I I was Lexy: Thanks. Aleta: very concerned when I first joined Greg's subscriber chat that I didn't fit in because or that I shouldn't be there. because I'm straight which I know it's silly, but everyone just made me feel welcome and you know that as as an ally ally I had a place there as well. So I appreciate that. And I'm just gonna ramble for far too long. So that's me. I love you guys. Lucy: Mm-hmm. That's beautiful, Alita. All right, guys. So we are gonna start wrapping up. We really wanted to incorporate some of the fan responses that we got fan submission re submissions recently of what Straight Until He Kissed Me meant to others as well. And we did ask the guests here today Lexy: Thank Lucy: if they would at least read one each. So I would like to start with Maya. And then if you could say the person who gave the submission and what they said. Myah: Okay, before I read that, I just wanted to add one thing to Lucy: Mm. Myah: what Alita was saying, how much like with her being straight, she didn't feel like she belonged. For similar, like being trans, I also didn't feel like I really belonged in the community. But all of you from the get go, having had experiences with other communities that were very transphobic, All of you made me feel very welcome. And like you were saying earlier, Mel, like that needs to be, there needs to be more inclusion of trans people just in the verticals and in general media, but were it not for this space and all of you, Lexy: you Myah: my journey wouldn't be as easy as it was. And I love you for all of that. Okay, so the first comment is from Rainbow Vibes. They say, Straight Until You Kiss Me is a really special series to me because it tells a story full of emotion, vulnerability, and a genuine connection. I really enjoyed seeing how the relationship between the characters grows and changes throughout the story and how it manages to combine romance, deeper feelings, and personal growth. It's a story that has left a lasting impression and that I still remember fondly. Lucy: Awww That's sweet. my gosh, this is good. Everett Industries, could you read yours? everettindustries: Stella Davis said Straight Until He Kiss Me was one of my f first exposures ever to the evolution of BL verticals and it made me excited for what was to come. Greg and Evan Evan were just bonuses. Lucy: Great bonuses they were everettindustries: Okay. Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: and are. Ginger, what is yours? Ginger: This fan is Becky Yato and they said, straight until he kissed me, to me means so much. It made me feel like I can be my true self. It was my first BL vertical and queer content. It was so important so we can be our true selves and not feel ashamed of it. This vertical will always have a special place in my heart. I adore Evan and Greg so much. I love them both forever. Lexy: you everettindustries: Mm. Lucy: Lexi, what about yours? Lexy: Diamond shared I just watched it recently for the first time and I really loved Evan and Greg's chemistry and how they balance each other out. What Shuka means to me is love is just love doesn't matter what gender. Lucy: Darn Tootin Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: Stevie Stevie: All right, Alaina says, Straight Until He Kissed Me means the absolute world to me. At the time the show came out, I was really struggling with myself and figuring out who I was. But watching Straight Until He Kissed Me helped me realize that it's okay to be myself and love who I want and not to mention Greg and Evan are truly the most incredible humans. Not only did this vertical change my life, but so did many of the shows they have both done without this vertical and these beautiful humans who knows where I would be. Lucy: Aww. And then mine is from Romina. Hey girl. I can't believe it's already been a year since Straight Until He Kissed Me dropped. I originally knew Greg from The Prince's First Love, and that will always be a special place in her heart. But this series made me fall in love with both of them. Evan and Greg are such amazing actors and people, and their chemistry is pure gold. Lexy: Thank Lucy: Happy first anniversary, Twinkle Links and Besties. Proud to support you and all the BL boys sending so much love from Germany. Aww, thank you guys. Thank you everyone for reading all of those. Aleta: Mm-hmm. Lucy: And there will be more to come, so send in more, whoever has not. We will we Aleta: Hm. Lucy: will be using them. Aleta: Alright, I guess that about wraps it up, besties. Thank you for joining us for this very special Straight Until He Kissed Me fan friend episode. Next week we'll have another special episode for you, so stay tuned. Until then, bye besties. Lexy: Bye. Aleta: Bye, besties. Stevie: Bye, Christine. Myah: Bye, besties! Ginger: Bye besties! Lucy: Besties everettindustries: Yeah. Lucy: That was actually really good. Aleta: Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Stevie: my god.
