- 0:09Speaker 1: Good money, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Idiot's time now for our one on one with the
- 0:15Speaker 1: pro and our bro today and Ailey from Truity Credit Union.
- 0:19Speaker 1: How are you doing today? Good?
- 0:21Speaker 2: Are you what I'm doing? Wonderful you're here?
- 0:23Speaker 3: Yes, I am.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Well, we got a new year going on at the
- 0:26Speaker 1: Truity Credit Union and a lot of people are maybe
- 0:29Speaker 1: looking to make some new changes. I understand that you're
- 0:32Speaker 1: here to talk a little bit about recruiting today.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah, so I'm with our recruiting team.
- 0:38Speaker 4: I particularly kind of invest in our applications, our interviews,
- 0:43Speaker 4: our screening processes, super passionate about just educating people on
- 0:48Speaker 4: you know, how to interview, resumes, all of those things.
- 0:52Speaker 4: So we have lots of open positions right now, so
- 0:55Speaker 4: excited to talk about those in the new year and
- 0:57Speaker 4: the growth that we're having.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Well, let's talk about what do you have hoping?
- 1:00Speaker 4: So currently we do have quite a few in our
- 1:03Speaker 4: Barnisville market. So we have both part time and full
- 1:06Speaker 4: time opportunities available specific to our contact center. So that
- 1:10Speaker 4: helps our members through chat, email, text message, primarily phone call,
- 1:16Speaker 4: but then we also just rolled out video chat last year,
- 1:19Speaker 4: so even get to help those members in a face
- 1:22Speaker 4: to face kind of way.
- 1:23Speaker 2: That's really cool. Yeah, really Georgie.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Jetson, Yeah, it feels really interactive and also kind of
- 1:30Speaker 4: like how does this even happening?
- 1:32Speaker 3: But it's cool that we get to be a part
- 1:33Speaker 3: of it.
- 1:34Speaker 2: It is. You guys are on the kind of like
- 1:36Speaker 2: the cutting edge.
- 1:36Speaker 1: You've got technology at Truity right here in our hometown. Yeah,
- 1:40Speaker 1: not importing this in from someplace else, it's right here.
- 1:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:43Speaker 4: So they're located our contact center member consultants, both our
- 1:46Speaker 4: part time men full time are located in our downtown branch,
- 1:50Speaker 4: so they get to interact with all of us in
- 1:53Speaker 4: the downtown branch and just help our members locally. So
- 1:57Speaker 4: getting to speak with some people probably that you know
- 2:00Speaker 4: through your finances, account, maintenance, products and services things like that.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Well great, you know, it just makes it more friendly,
- 2:09Speaker 1: more more local. When when when that contact is visible,
- 2:13Speaker 1: audio and everything else and right here in your backyard,
- 2:17Speaker 1: that's wonderful.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah, you guys really know how to do right.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Yeah, and kind of speaking to cutting edge technology, we
- 2:23Speaker 4: actually just were able to roll out our interactive teller
- 2:27Speaker 4: machine and Dewey, So yeah, we just did that we
- 2:30Speaker 4: also have a position opening for that, so that once
- 2:33Speaker 4: again is one of our member consultants. We call them
- 2:36Speaker 4: Interactive Teller Specialists. They help facilitate that machine. So if
- 2:41Speaker 4: and when you use that machine, and let's say you
- 2:44Speaker 4: need help or you don't have your debit card with you,
- 2:47Speaker 4: you're able to press a button and see their face,
- 2:49Speaker 4: so they pop up, they help you. They get to
- 2:51Speaker 4: see your account everything that you're seeing. You can make
- 2:54Speaker 4: loan payments, so you can do anything an ATM can do.
- 2:57Speaker 3: So it's pretty neat.
- 2:59Speaker 2: No.
- 2:59Speaker 1: I wish this was around when ATMs first popped up,
- 3:02Speaker 1: because I.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Feel so.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Overwhelming.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I'm not a spring Chicken and I'm looking at this
- 3:09Speaker 2: as take my order.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but but it, you know, eventually figured it out.
- 3:16Speaker 1: But it's nice to know you got somebody behind it
- 3:18Speaker 1: to back it up.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Yeah, And it allows you to use the ATM. ITM
- 3:23Speaker 4: is what we call it, use that without having your card.
- 3:27Speaker 4: So I know I have gone up to an ATM
- 3:29Speaker 4: and needed to withdraw cash or whatever my my transaction
- 3:33Speaker 4: might be and not have my card. You know, I've
- 3:36Speaker 4: left it at home or whatever I've done. And this
- 3:38Speaker 4: allows our IM specialists, which we call Interactive Teller specialists
- 3:43Speaker 4: help with that. They get to see you, they they
- 3:45Speaker 4: look at you. You get to scan your ID to
- 3:48Speaker 4: ensure that you're you for safety purposes.
- 3:51Speaker 3: But it's a pretty neat role and it is new
- 3:53Speaker 3: to the Credit Union.
- 3:54Speaker 4: So we have a super small team and we're excited
- 3:56Speaker 4: to hopefully add to that.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Well, that is wonderful. Now we've got young people who
- 4:01Speaker 1: are going to college, some of them just started like
- 4:03Speaker 1: last week or so, yeah, going back and they're thinking
- 4:07Speaker 1: along the long term and they're looking at internships.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Does Truity provide any intern opportunities.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Yes, So we are in the works and planning process
- 4:18Speaker 4: of our internships for this upcoming summer. Okay, so we'll
- 4:21Speaker 4: speak to last year because I'm sure assuming that it'll
- 4:24Speaker 4: kind of mirror last year as well. We had the
- 4:27Speaker 4: opportunity to have eight interns last year and really get
- 4:30Speaker 4: to know the ins and outs of the Credit Union
- 4:32Speaker 4: as a whole, kind of what we do, why we
- 4:35Speaker 4: do what we do.
- 4:35Speaker 3: So it's a nine week paid internship.
- 4:38Speaker 4: We typically open up to any juniors and seniors that
- 4:43Speaker 4: are in high school and then anyone that's in college
- 4:46Speaker 4: as well. So we do have an application process and
- 4:49Speaker 4: we'll be ling out in the next couple of months,
- 4:51Speaker 4: so just kind of encouraging to stay tuned on that
- 4:54Speaker 4: as parents or even students are looking at those internships.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Wow, that's amazing. Yeah, you guys have a great website
- 5:03Speaker 1: and it lists oftentimes all of the opportunities that are
- 5:06Speaker 1: available for employment and for internships. And that website is
- 5:11Speaker 1: TRUDYCU dot org. And I don't know who put that together,
- 5:17Speaker 1: but it's so easy to navigate. Even at person like.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Me can do it.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Yeah, it's been really nice just being able to see
- 5:24Speaker 4: not only the products and services that we offer, but
- 5:26Speaker 4: specific to me, our careers page as well. So it's
- 5:30Speaker 4: on there we get to see the ins and outs
- 5:32Speaker 4: of our previous employees, kind of their growth plans, some testimonials,
- 5:37Speaker 4: as well as all of our benefit information. So if
- 5:40Speaker 4: you want to know the ins and outs of a
- 5:42Speaker 4: role at Trudy Credit Union, you'll learn it on.
- 5:44Speaker 3: Our careers page. That's the best place to learn it.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Boy, I tell you, it's got links to where you
- 5:49Speaker 1: need to go. Oh yeah, you know, get getting back
- 5:52Speaker 1: into the technology thing.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I can do my banking on my phone.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, mobile banking is super helpful, and you
- 5:59Speaker 4: can do it anywhere.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Yeah, it's really nice.
- 6:03Speaker 4: I like a nice walk downtown so that I can
- 6:05Speaker 4: go do my transactions. But when you don't have time
- 6:08Speaker 4: for that or you need something quick, that mobile banking
- 6:10Speaker 4: really steps in and helps you out however might need it.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Igo.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Well, you mentioned one thing about the nice walk downtown.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It is you're building in downtown Bartlesviield is awesome. That
- 6:22Speaker 1: mural is awesome, and the people inside are so awesomely helpful.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I have had nothing but great experiences. If I've had
- 6:33Speaker 1: a question, it's been answered pretty darn quick, and if
- 6:36Speaker 1: it wasn't from the person I originally talked to, they
- 6:39Speaker 1: pointed me into the direction of the person I needed
- 6:41Speaker 1: to speak with and problem solved.
- 6:44Speaker 2: That's just how darn nice it is.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Yeah, and we have a really great training team that
- 6:51Speaker 4: allows for tons of opportunities to cross train job shadowing
- 6:55Speaker 4: opportunities too, so people not only are you know, subject
- 7:00Speaker 4: matter experts in their role and what they do every day,
- 7:03Speaker 4: but also get to get their toes into different things
- 7:06Speaker 4: that we do throughout the Credit Union. Because we have
- 7:08Speaker 4: such a vast array of products and services, it can
- 7:12Speaker 4: be really.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Overwhelming for our members.
- 7:14Speaker 4: So our goal is really to provide education and help
- 7:17Speaker 4: how we can and if we can't help, knowing that
- 7:19Speaker 4: too and passing it along. So our training team and
- 7:24Speaker 4: just the opportunities to train and grow really is something
- 7:28Speaker 4: unique that I had an experience before Truity.
- 7:30Speaker 1: When you recruit people do come to work for you
- 7:34Speaker 1: at Truity, are these folks, maybe several weeks into the job,
- 7:38Speaker 1: kind of amazed at just how much they have learned
- 7:41Speaker 1: about different things as they're doing their day to.
- 7:44Speaker 4: Day Yeah, so I can speak to my experience as
- 7:48Speaker 4: well as we do lots of different surveys throughout your
- 7:51Speaker 4: first couple of weeks of work to really see you
- 7:53Speaker 4: know where you're at, what are you thinking, what.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Can we assist with?
- 7:57Speaker 4: And through those it's really kind of it's so impressive really,
- 8:01Speaker 4: just the kind of knowledge that we get to learn,
- 8:04Speaker 4: and then also the exposure that we get to have
- 8:06Speaker 4: to things that maybe you've never been exposed to, especially
- 8:09Speaker 4: in the financial realm. Now, those folks that come in
- 8:12Speaker 4: with products and service knowledge or have been in a
- 8:14Speaker 4: financial institution and get to continue their career with Truity
- 8:18Speaker 4: Credit Union, they get to learn those the Truty way,
- 8:21Speaker 4: and so I'm biased, but I think that we do
- 8:24Speaker 4: that away like no one else and provide that exceptional
- 8:27Speaker 4: service that helps our members.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Feel, you know, valued and cared for.
- 8:33Speaker 4: And that's what we really look for when we're looking
- 8:35Speaker 4: for new careers and people that want to.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Work at Truity Credit Union.
- 8:39Speaker 1: You have a very interesting culture. It's not a corporate culture.
- 8:45Speaker 1: It's a community culture because not only are you working together,
- 8:49Speaker 1: you're working together as a community, but also in a community.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And everybody is so aware of that. And that's something
- 8:58Speaker 1: that kind of gets past some folks. They figure it's
- 9:00Speaker 1: only confined to their four walls and that's it. I climb,
- 9:02Speaker 1: I'm to go home, but no, Truity is pretty much everywhere.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Yeah, and it really gives us an opportunity to not
- 9:10Speaker 4: only do your job right. We like to go to
- 9:12Speaker 4: work and we like to do our job, but you
- 9:14Speaker 4: also get to invest in the community around you. Most
- 9:17Speaker 4: of us have family, friends, co workers, even peers that
- 9:22Speaker 4: are in our communities that we've seen been impacted by
- 9:26Speaker 4: our products or services or just.
- 9:28Speaker 3: The things that we get to do at Truity. So
- 9:30Speaker 3: it's pretty neat.
- 9:31Speaker 1: It is one of the things that I get a
- 9:34Speaker 1: kick out of Barblesville is a good sized town.
- 9:39Speaker 2: It's a small city, is what it is.
- 9:41Speaker 1: But lo and behold when I'm engaged in maybe going
- 9:48Speaker 1: out to a fundraising event or a community event, or
- 9:53Speaker 1: watching my children participate in school events, by golly, there's.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Somebody from Truity there.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Yeah, somebody I know sharing the same experience of living
- 10:03Speaker 1: in the same community that I live in.
- 10:05Speaker 2: And you know what, that's very reassuring.
- 10:07Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we actually had an experience. It was in
- 10:10Speaker 3: a break room.
- 10:12Speaker 4: So not really feeling that, but one of my coworkers
- 10:15Speaker 4: and I were talking about how we see each other
- 10:17Speaker 4: so often, like you see each other all of these
- 10:19Speaker 4: different things, and before we worked at Trudy, we didn't
- 10:23Speaker 4: even really know each other, so it's been so neat.
- 10:25Speaker 4: And he had said, you know, we're all living the
- 10:27Speaker 4: same life, just in different fonts, And I just felt
- 10:30Speaker 4: like that was so true to kind of our community.
- 10:32Speaker 3: We all are living.
- 10:34Speaker 4: The same things, but just seeing it in different ways
- 10:36Speaker 4: and kind of different timelines.
- 10:39Speaker 1: So in the way the Truity gets out into the community,
- 10:42Speaker 1: Truity is a big sponsor of a lot of our
- 10:45Speaker 1: community events and a lot of the people who work
- 10:49Speaker 1: at Trudy also engage in the special events too, very visibly.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And it's not like.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Everybody's going out there beating on there chess saying look
- 10:57Speaker 1: at us.
- 10:58Speaker 2: It's just very kind of.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Cool and with the smile saying Hi, good to see you,
- 11:02Speaker 1: thanks for being around, you know, And it's that kind of.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Culture that's really kind of sets you apart from a lot.
- 11:08Speaker 4: Yeah, it's really neat to be a part of it
- 11:10Speaker 4: and be a contributor of that. Something that we offer
- 11:12Speaker 4: as well is we do have paid vacation or paid
- 11:15Speaker 4: volunteer time excuse me. So it allows us to not
- 11:19Speaker 4: only invest in something that we care about community wise
- 11:23Speaker 4: with our time or our sponsorship, but also allows the
- 11:27Speaker 4: credit Union to invest in us, to invest in community
- 11:30Speaker 4: who invest in Credit Union. So it's just kind of
- 11:32Speaker 4: this whole circle of how can you care for someone else?
- 11:35Speaker 2: Wow? And it speaks volumes, it really does. It really does.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Now once again, you're looking for recruits and if they're interested,
- 11:45Speaker 1: we need to get them to go to the website first,
- 11:48Speaker 1: maybe to get a little bit familiar before they start
- 11:50Speaker 1: making calls.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Right yep, yep, So careers at dot Trudy, see you
- 11:55Speaker 4: at dot org.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Excuse me, that's going to be the best way to
- 11:58Speaker 3: get in touch with us.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Also right off of our truity page as well, so
- 12:03Speaker 4: you can find our careers on there.
- 12:05Speaker 3: That'll take you to our careers page.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Within that, there's lots of different contact information. Jobs at
- 12:11Speaker 4: trudycu dot org is a great email to get in
- 12:13Speaker 4: chuch with us as well, so we're happy to help
- 12:16Speaker 4: answer any questions or walk through any of our current
- 12:19Speaker 4: openings or maybe even our future openings.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Well, that's that is just absolutely wonderful, beautiful building downtown.
- 12:27Speaker 1: You can't miss it. And the one on the south
- 12:30Speaker 1: West Washington Boulevard.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Yes, that's an artsy kind of looking thing. I like it. Yes,
- 12:36Speaker 2: it's beautiful.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:37Speaker 3: I loved it with the Christmas lights on too.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. And then of course you can go to
- 12:43Speaker 2: Dewey to the I.
- 12:45Speaker 4: Correct, we're calling that I Yes, and it just got
- 12:48Speaker 4: a fresh wrap and it is gorgeous too, so it's
- 12:51Speaker 4: really really neat and hitfully.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Will help serve our doy members as well.
- 12:55Speaker 2: My goodness sakes true. He's been around for a long
- 12:57Speaker 2: time and if.
- 12:59Speaker 1: You people want to look at the history, you can
- 13:02Speaker 1: find it on the website, but it was founded right
- 13:04Speaker 1: here in Bartlesville, a bunch of ladies working at Phillips
- 13:08Speaker 1: trying to help each other out.
- 13:09Speaker 2: How do we save money?
- 13:10Speaker 1: How do we well, here, let's start this little thing.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And this little thing turned into a little credit union.
- 13:17Speaker 1: In this little credit union turned into a great, big
- 13:20Speaker 1: community credit union where not only are you a customer,
- 13:23Speaker 1: you do are a shareholder.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Yep, definitely. So all of our members are members.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Of the credit union, so you get to say and
- 13:31Speaker 4: what we get to do, and it really just allows
- 13:34Speaker 4: for us to be able to see what works best
- 13:37Speaker 4: for you and how can we best serve you. What
- 13:39Speaker 4: are the products that are going to benefit our communities
- 13:42Speaker 4: the most, that's really important to us just as a whole.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I tell you what. It's so invaluable to
- 13:48Speaker 1: our community. Haley, you always bring good news when you
- 13:51Speaker 1: drop you know that. She comes in with a big spile.
- 13:54Speaker 1: She goes, guess what we've got jobs?
- 13:56Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, people are Yeah, I've got to be that person.
- 14:00Speaker 3: I'm honored to be that versa.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Well, well, very good. It's always great to have you
- 14:03Speaker 1: on board. Thank you very much for being in with
