- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to Cleaston comfos presented by State Form. Don't
- 0:02Speaker 1: set up for any insurance. Let's it's State Form. What's say?
- 0:05Speaker 1: I'm Brodie? How you doing, bro I'm good man.
- 0:09Speaker 2: You said it got a little bad week, So I'm
- 0:11Speaker 2: cooling for.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Show for show, I'm gonna start to show off playing
- 0:15Speaker 1: a game called Press a release, press meaning false, release
- 0:18Speaker 1: meaning true. So growing up, you and your brother used
- 0:20Speaker 1: to call yourself the teenage Ninja Turtles. How did that
- 0:24Speaker 1: name come about?
- 0:25Speaker 3: We kind of had like a couple of different nick names.
- 0:28Speaker 3: He called himself the teenage teenage mutant Ninja Turtles. I
- 0:32Speaker 3: went by to Jackson five, and that was Michael Jackson,
- 0:35Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. So you know, I got
- 0:40Speaker 3: four other brothers, so those five of us in total,
- 0:42Speaker 3: So Jackson five was what I.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Kind of went with Joe for sell. You were a
- 0:46Speaker 1: five star recruit coming out of high.
- 0:48Speaker 2: School Press Press Press.
- 0:51Speaker 1: What was your recruiting process?
- 0:52Speaker 2: Like?
- 0:54Speaker 3: Uh, I was a three star coming out you know,
- 0:57Speaker 3: South Carolina, like lean the this is like real slow,
- 1:01Speaker 3: like it just started to pick up, so like, you know,
- 1:04Speaker 3: I ain't really get out that many camps. So I
- 1:06Speaker 3: was a three star coming up on twenty four to
- 1:08Speaker 3: seven and like like on three and rivals, I was
- 1:11Speaker 3: like a full star.
- 1:11Speaker 2: But yeah, you know, twenty.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Four seven was like the real with people everybody using.
- 1:15Speaker 3: So I only had one Power five offer, which was
- 1:18Speaker 3: South Carolina. Uh, just because like COVID and I ain't
- 1:22Speaker 3: get out the camp.
- 1:23Speaker 1: So why you chose South Carolina?
- 1:26Speaker 3: I mean, I was really my only offer, But even then,
- 1:29Speaker 3: if I had more offers, I probably still probably would
- 1:31Speaker 3: want to South Caroline just because it was just a
- 1:33Speaker 3: hometown hero route close to home.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Uh. It was just it just felt.
- 1:39Speaker 3: You know, that was my only sec soul, but it
- 1:41Speaker 3: was it was something building there too, like what coach
- 1:44Speaker 3: Bimber was doing. I definitely believed in that direction. And
- 1:47Speaker 3: you know we had a couple of good years when
- 1:49Speaker 3: I was there. So made some history, not for.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Sure for sure, Press and release. You got prank called
- 1:53Speaker 1: during draft night. Press for sure, so you knew you
- 1:58Speaker 1: was going. You knew you would be a Seattle Seahawk
- 2:01Speaker 1: before draft night. Release or the Seahawks the first team
- 2:08Speaker 1: to talk to you before you before the draft.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Mm hmm, nah, I'll say, uh, press.
- 2:21Speaker 1: No, that was that was That was the Yeah, that
- 2:22Speaker 1: was that was the question, Like, uh oh.
- 2:25Speaker 2: That was asked me. Oh.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Now, it was like a bunch of teams, A bunch
- 2:29Speaker 3: of teams kind of like was reaching out to me.
- 2:30Speaker 3: But I knew Seattle was gonna be the one since
- 2:33Speaker 3: because like when I went to my thirty visit.
- 2:35Speaker 2: That was the last visit and that it just brouh.
- 2:39Speaker 3: I went on like six or seven eight, you know,
- 2:41Speaker 3: I don't man the pre draft that was my last visit.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I'm like, bro, ain't the way I got to go
- 2:47Speaker 3: to Seattle? Bro, Like that six hour flight. I'm tied.
- 2:50Speaker 2: So I went there.
- 2:52Speaker 3: And I was, you know, happy I ended up going
- 2:54Speaker 3: because I heard like a lot of other people like
- 2:56Speaker 3: cancel their visit, but I was like, I'm just gonna
- 2:57Speaker 3: go ahead and not this.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I was just enjoy the process.
- 3:00Speaker 3: And when I was having meetings with the coaches, I
- 3:02Speaker 3: was like, yeah, like they really liked me, like more
- 3:05Speaker 3: than any other vision that went all. I can tell
- 3:07Speaker 3: like they really definitely was trying to come get me.
- 3:10Speaker 3: And even when I went to my first the Combine meetings,
- 3:16Speaker 3: that was my first team I met with, and the
- 3:18Speaker 3: vibes was good there, So I just knew it was destiny.
- 3:20Speaker 2: Like I had a good feeling like it was gonna
- 3:22Speaker 2: be Seattle.
- 3:23Speaker 1: No for Shure for sure. Like we said before, you
- 3:25Speaker 1: played at South Carolina. You played both linebacker and safety there.
- 3:29Speaker 1: What was it like playing both diseases in college?
- 3:34Speaker 2: I kind of.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Played like when I first coming out a high school,
- 3:38Speaker 3: I played like majority Like I played everything coming out
- 3:42Speaker 3: of high school linebacker, safety, corner, receiver, had like tight
- 3:47Speaker 3: end snaps. So coming in my dB coach Torrian Gray,
- 3:51Speaker 3: who coached Cam Chancellor, he asked me, like, shoot, when
- 3:54Speaker 3: he came to out of school, he was like, what
- 3:56Speaker 3: do you want to play?
- 3:56Speaker 2: Like? You want to play dB?
- 3:58Speaker 3: You want to play linebacker. I was like, man, I'm
- 4:00Speaker 3: a dB bro. Like I ain't trying to you know
- 4:03Speaker 3: what I'm saying. I'm trying to get back in, you know.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Do what I do. Like grew dude, I grew up
- 4:06Speaker 2: doing you know, start off playing corner.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:08Speaker 3: So I ended up playing safety at Sarcolina and then
- 4:11Speaker 3: as I like progressed throughout my career there, I just
- 4:16Speaker 3: ended up playing way more positions. Got a little bit
- 4:18Speaker 3: of nickel safety, Uh, just a little bit of everything.
- 4:21Speaker 3: But I mean that's that's that story.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Yeah, sure, So who is the toughest team you played
- 4:27Speaker 1: against in college? Toughest team and player.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Toughest team? You know how, I ain't gonna say. I
- 4:40Speaker 3: probably say Georgia.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Georgia. Boy, they always been like.
- 4:45Speaker 3: My first year, man, you know, it's Likeclona, like we
- 4:48Speaker 3: ain't got like a real got some type of it's something.
- 4:51Speaker 3: So that first my first year is start Calina bro Georgia, man,
- 4:54Speaker 3: and I'm just coming straight out of high school starting
- 4:57Speaker 3: like second and third.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Game, man, numb boy had Brock Boys.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Lad.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Uh they had a whole team.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Everybody they loaded Darnelle Washington.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I'm like.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I played at Georgia, y'all played at uh scone at
- 5:15Speaker 1: Socclana my first year, Man, Rocket, I know that your
- 5:21Speaker 1: rocket right now?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, it's the games. Game is always gonna be,
- 5:26Speaker 2: you know.
- 5:27Speaker 1: You know, so you played with several people who's in
- 5:30Speaker 1: the league and now Spencer Raalders, they get and plenty more.
- 5:35Speaker 1: What was it like being teammates with those guys?
- 5:39Speaker 2: Man?
- 5:40Speaker 3: Uh, X and Leget, I mean X and Spence. They
- 5:44Speaker 3: are my my last year and my sophomore year. Like
- 5:48Speaker 3: them boys definitely came in and when Spence had committed
- 5:51Speaker 3: to the school.
- 5:52Speaker 2: That joint life was was was lit. You know what
- 5:54Speaker 2: I'm saying. We definitely knew we had we had, we
- 5:57Speaker 2: had something going. But playing with.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Those guys, yeah, bro, them boys really like was with
- 6:03Speaker 3: some ball players and they definitely made make things shape.
- 6:06Speaker 2: But in the league and the boys doing it kind
- 6:08Speaker 2: of doing the thing too.
- 6:09Speaker 3: And I remember my last year last year, my sophomore year,
- 6:13Speaker 3: man like I was like the craziest uh jump of
- 6:17Speaker 3: growth I ever seen.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Like I remember Jay was working like.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Every day boys getting today.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Getting to it every day him is fans working every day.
- 6:26Speaker 3: And I remember like going into that my sophomore year,
- 6:28Speaker 3: his last year, them boys just had a connection that
- 6:31Speaker 3: was undeniable. Like from the first game to the last game,
- 6:34Speaker 3: the boy was just making plays together. And so that
- 6:36Speaker 3: just jumped out to day, you know, going into the
- 6:38Speaker 3: NFL career being the first round picks, but.
- 6:40Speaker 1: You know, not off sure. So you also played with
- 6:43Speaker 1: Leonora Sellers, who would be drafted next year. What did
- 6:48Speaker 1: you like about this game.
- 6:50Speaker 2: In high school? Too? Crazy story?
- 6:52Speaker 3: Like my last year in high school, I think what's
- 6:56Speaker 3: like his his junior year real my last.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Year I played him like third game and he beat me.
- 7:01Speaker 2: But the thing was.
- 7:05Speaker 3: We had COVID that year, so our third we didn't
- 7:08Speaker 3: get to play with the first two games, but they
- 7:10Speaker 3: played their first two games.
- 7:11Speaker 2: So our first game was a third game.
- 7:14Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying That our first game games,
- 7:17Speaker 3: some boys came in the help. So playing him that game,
- 7:23Speaker 3: that's when I realized, like that man is special. And
- 7:25Speaker 3: then uh, he was committed to Syracuse. And I remember,
- 7:28Speaker 3: like my coach told him, like you need to get
- 7:30Speaker 3: this kid a call, like he real deal, Like try
- 7:31Speaker 3: to like get him a flip a little bit or
- 7:33Speaker 3: so I got them the phone, talked to him and
- 7:35Speaker 3: I was just like putting stuff in his ear, just
- 7:37Speaker 3: wanting to make him, let him make the best decision.
- 7:39Speaker 3: He end up coming to South Carolina, and like I'll say,
- 7:41Speaker 3: like he definitely developed, but like man, he definitely got
- 7:45Speaker 3: the shade of like Cam Newton Anthony Richardson type, but
- 7:49Speaker 3: like way more, way more calm, and like he definitely
- 7:53Speaker 3: be a ball player in the league soon.
- 7:55Speaker 1: So not for sure for sure. You know, your rookie
- 7:59Speaker 1: season was, as we talked about, you play linebacker in safety,
- 8:02Speaker 1: Like did you want to play safety in the league
- 8:06Speaker 1: or you rather play linebacker.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I feel like I ain't got no no.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You kind of playing like you kind of play like
- 8:14Speaker 1: you kind of play like Nickels safety like kind of like,
- 8:18Speaker 1: uh well when we when I play that South Carolina,
- 8:20Speaker 1: they call like the spur that kind of like go
- 8:23Speaker 1: all like play all over the field type.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I kind of do like that's I only got
- 8:29Speaker 3: no because like label on my position, I'll say, like
- 8:32Speaker 3: I play Nickel. But the stuff I do, like you
- 8:35Speaker 3: don't see a lot of Nicholas doing what I as
- 8:37Speaker 3: far as like the coverage aspect. And then sometimes I
- 8:40Speaker 3: go down on the line of scrimmage and Blitz went on,
- 8:42Speaker 3: want to tackle. I'm listening like and I'm doing all
- 8:45Speaker 3: types of stuff kind of like you know what what
- 8:48Speaker 3: people seeing Kahan do on the Ravens with the same
- 8:51Speaker 3: you know, our head coach is the defense DC over there,
- 8:54Speaker 3: so kind of like that type of role.
- 8:56Speaker 2: But you know, as I grow next year, looking to
- 8:59Speaker 2: just do.
- 8:59Speaker 3: More stuff, probably getting that backfield a little bit more,
- 9:02Speaker 3: playing the back end, just the players.
- 9:04Speaker 1: So so what was what what was your welcome to
- 9:08Speaker 1: the NFL moment?
- 9:12Speaker 3: To be honest, I ain't really you know, I ain't
- 9:15Speaker 3: really had that for the you know, regular got the
- 9:17Speaker 3: playoffs since whatever, but for the regular season, I haven't
- 9:20Speaker 3: really had that like personal, ah, this the league moment,
- 9:23Speaker 3: but for like football NFL.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Wise, like just team wise, I'll.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Say, like playing like the Rams, you know, like every
- 9:32Speaker 3: time we play them, it's like it's real. It's real,
- 9:36Speaker 3: Like it's real, like it's real smoke like it's like
- 9:39Speaker 3: they boys play hard, we play hard.
- 9:41Speaker 2: The games be hard, the divisional games.
- 9:43Speaker 3: It's probably kind of like my look to the league moment,
- 9:45Speaker 3: like it's games to be tight and it'd be tough.
- 9:48Speaker 1: So yeah, I was in you know, I was in
- 9:50Speaker 1: the same frame for the past, like for my last
- 9:52Speaker 1: for the past six years. But every time we went
- 9:54Speaker 1: out there, y'all came over there, it was just like bro,
- 9:57Speaker 1: like the game going to the end.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Right here, you feel me last possestion of just some
- 10:02Speaker 3: crazy stuff happening like.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Last us and they played, y'all boy tight end caught
- 10:07Speaker 1: the ball and uh uh caught the ball in back
- 10:09Speaker 1: of the end zone and the scramble player that was crazy.
- 10:12Speaker 1: You know, y'all recently just had the game. Y'all boy
- 10:14Speaker 1: played a really good game you know, got number one seed.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Some congrets on that. Uh yeah, boy, I know you're
- 10:20Speaker 1: a rookie boy. This this season long, this season long,
- 10:23Speaker 1: you've been playing ball. You've been you've you've been football
- 10:26Speaker 1: doing stop you feel me?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Hey?
- 10:30Speaker 3: When we thirteen came around, I'm like, man, hey, we
- 10:34Speaker 3: need a bite.
- 10:35Speaker 2: We probably getting ready for ball practice.
- 10:36Speaker 1: So we just done. But you got.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Men and most But yeah, but when you winning though,
- 10:43Speaker 3: you kind of don't really it just be flying by
- 10:46Speaker 3: like you winning, we be fourteen or whatever.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Speaking of the Seahawks, you know, y'all having a pretty
- 10:51Speaker 1: good season so far. What do you like most about
- 10:54Speaker 1: this team? Uh?
- 10:59Speaker 3: I say the winning, like we gotta win, the culture,
- 11:01Speaker 3: and we got some dogs like people can't say, you know,
- 11:05Speaker 3: we can win as many games. And the way we've
- 11:07Speaker 3: been dominating. We're not people not dominating. How we dominate.
- 11:10Speaker 3: So that's what I love about this team for real,
- 11:12Speaker 3: Like we we really were taking. We're taking we're taking
- 11:15Speaker 3: games over and stuff.
- 11:16Speaker 1: So not for sure for sure, three three defensive Pro
- 11:21Speaker 1: Bowlers including Witherspoon. What's the dB room like and what
- 11:26Speaker 1: makes youall defense so special?
- 11:30Speaker 2: Man? Like?
- 11:30Speaker 3: If you you know we got we just got stars
- 11:32Speaker 3: all over the defense, you know, from the d line
- 11:35Speaker 3: to linebackers to the secondary. Like I can just name
- 11:38Speaker 3: dudes all, which I ain't even got too because I
- 11:40Speaker 3: know I'm already. But uh, the dB room specifically, like
- 11:43Speaker 3: you know, we got Reap wheeling pro bowler Deverwis won.
- 11:47Speaker 3: I think this is third or fourth time going to
- 11:50Speaker 3: the Pro Bowl back back to back to back whatever.
- 11:52Speaker 3: But Julian Love, Kobe Bryant. Uh, like we got a
- 11:56Speaker 3: deep room. Like our room is super deep and even
- 11:59Speaker 3: if it's Dre Diggs shock, we got a deep room
- 12:03Speaker 3: with just experience and just ballers.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Dudes that done did it before the high level.
- 12:06Speaker 1: So no, for sure. A tweet enviral about the Seahawks recently. Uh,
- 12:11Speaker 1: the last two times there were new pope see Alto
- 12:14Speaker 1: made it to the Super Bowl. A new pope got
- 12:15Speaker 1: elected this year. Why does this team have what it
- 12:19Speaker 1: takes to make it there?
- 12:22Speaker 2: Uh? Yeah, I don't know nothing about with that with
- 12:23Speaker 2: the pope stuff, but.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Uh but I think I think we got enough. I
- 12:30Speaker 3: think I think we got enough to make it all
- 12:31Speaker 3: the way we handled business, keep sticking to our process,
- 12:36Speaker 3: doing what we do. It's just a feeling know, you
- 12:38Speaker 3: got that feeling everybody bought in into the everybody bought
- 12:42Speaker 3: into like the same goal in the building. You know
- 12:44Speaker 3: it's undernigable at that point, but you know you still
- 12:46Speaker 3: got to go out there and play football. Ain't nothing
- 12:48Speaker 3: everyone like really.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Given to you?
- 12:49Speaker 1: So no facts? Facts?
- 12:51Speaker 2: Uh?
- 12:52Speaker 1: Speaking of Super Bowls, Cam Chancellor won with the Seahawks.
- 12:55Speaker 1: You did the celebration in the game earlier this era.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Why did you choose to pick his celebration?
- 13:02Speaker 3: I think I think it was just I mean, how
- 13:06Speaker 3: can younot like at that point, you know, I just
- 13:09Speaker 3: hit somebody and it was just just for pay. Yeah,
- 13:16Speaker 3: just for fun, just you know, throwing it out there,
- 13:18Speaker 3: just just to do it, like you know, the fans
- 13:19Speaker 3: is going joy.
- 13:21Speaker 2: It was just a fun thing to do. Why not?
- 13:23Speaker 1: Non facts? The defense when Cam play was called Legend
- 13:26Speaker 1: of the Boom. This year Seattle defense with yourself has
- 13:30Speaker 1: been named the Dark Side. What are some similarities between
- 13:33Speaker 1: the two different defenses?
- 13:37Speaker 2: M Taking over games?
- 13:40Speaker 3: Uh, holding people to no points or three points or
- 13:45Speaker 3: whatever it's called. Just dominating football games and just taking
- 13:49Speaker 3: over Like yeah, we suffocating offenses like they can't really
- 13:53Speaker 3: go nowhere and feel like they got a play.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Or something like it's always gonna be someone in that.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Area or gonna get hit, or if you're not getting hit,
- 14:02Speaker 3: you gonna get hit the next time.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Or so No, that's just what it is.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Staying on the team, on the office inside JS and
- 14:09Speaker 1: having a career year, career high and catch his yards
- 14:11Speaker 1: and touchdowns and what does he mean to that team?
- 14:15Speaker 2: Uh?
- 14:17Speaker 3: I mean, I think he offense player of the Year,
- 14:19Speaker 3: So I think that kind of speak for himself in
- 14:20Speaker 3: his own I think he he kind of like proved
- 14:24Speaker 3: proved it doubt is wrong where it was doubting him,
- 14:26Speaker 3: I wasn't really dalking him.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I've seen what he was doing in the camps.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I knew he was gonna go off.
- 14:30Speaker 1: But uh he you know a.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Lot of a lot of stuff in the off season
- 14:34Speaker 3: about you know, getting rid of the receivers and trade
- 14:36Speaker 3: pieces and people don't really know what he could do
- 14:38Speaker 3: and stuff. But he put all that to hush. He
- 14:41Speaker 3: made he made he made that happen. So he definitely
- 14:45Speaker 3: one of the ones.
- 14:46Speaker 1: He wanted the ones for show. Sam Donald in his
- 14:48Speaker 1: first year with SIA also having a good year. What
- 14:51Speaker 1: had he what has he brought to the team.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Uh, I think Sam ain't like Sam been bothering bro,
- 14:58Speaker 3: Like he's definitely been. He'd be dealing that quarterback like
- 15:02Speaker 3: you know, the stuff the throws, He'll be making the
- 15:05Speaker 3: process he has in practice, like he definitely been dealing
- 15:08Speaker 3: like he underrated and he get a lot of like
- 15:11Speaker 3: you know, backlash or whatever.
- 15:12Speaker 2: But I don't think he paid attention to that stuff.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Like I think Sam one of the ones for show,
- 15:17Speaker 3: Like he definitely make the team go and he handled
- 15:19Speaker 3: the situations and do what we gotta do to win.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Non facts. Mike McDonald in his second year as head coach,
- 15:26Speaker 1: he's up for Coach of the Year. What shit? Why
- 15:28Speaker 1: should he win coach of the Year award?
- 15:31Speaker 3: I mean, we got all type of players and coaches
- 15:36Speaker 3: and stars on this team, Like it's crazy. We got
- 15:39Speaker 3: offense Player the Year, coaching, yeah, the potential defensive Rickety, yeah,
- 15:43Speaker 3: everything you know, like everything lining up. But I mean
- 15:47Speaker 3: it works for itself for him too, Like the type
- 15:50Speaker 3: of coach he is, he came in and instantly changed stuff,
- 15:52Speaker 3: Like instantly everything flipped around and like the defense went
- 15:56Speaker 3: from whatever to like top three, number one, Like his
- 16:01Speaker 3: record on the road fourteen and three in the second season,
- 16:04Speaker 3: Like he just you know what I'm saying, he making
- 16:07Speaker 3: history as in his own way, he's paving his own way,
- 16:09Speaker 3: making the standard, making the coach.
- 16:11Speaker 2: And uh we just we just leading behind him and
- 16:14Speaker 2: following him.
- 16:14Speaker 1: So not facts, because it's definitely his second straight season
- 16:18Speaker 1: with ten plus wins under coach. Finished fourteen and three
- 16:22Speaker 1: this year, uh Seahawks, Rams, forty nine ers, all these
- 16:27Speaker 1: teams with ten wins. Is the NFC the hardest division
- 16:32Speaker 1: in football?
- 16:34Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, no doubt. And I ain't really realized.
- 16:37Speaker 3: I ain't really realize it because I ain't you know, yeah,
- 16:40Speaker 3: playing the league. But now, yeah, NC West was so hardest, hardest,
- 16:46Speaker 3: hardest division. We got the Rams Niners that can show.
- 16:49Speaker 3: They ain't got the Cardinals who got good players too.
- 16:51Speaker 3: They're just figuring stuff out whatever, but they gonna give
- 16:54Speaker 3: you a game. But the Rams and the Niners for
- 16:56Speaker 3: show like they head coaches uh Shane.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Hand In McVeigh.
- 17:01Speaker 3: They defense is what they do like they It's definitely
- 17:04Speaker 3: it's crazy, Like I think we made history. It's just
- 17:06Speaker 3: division too, Like don't think the division has ever had
- 17:09Speaker 3: like some some or some I don't know, there.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Be so many. It be so many records and stuff
- 17:13Speaker 1: you never heard of. They never think about it to
- 17:15Speaker 1: pop up. But as I as I said earlier, you know,
- 17:18Speaker 1: you lost to the Nineers and were going at home
- 17:21Speaker 1: beat the Niners on the road to like in the
- 17:23Speaker 1: number one seed. Describe the feeling of being your division
- 17:26Speaker 1: rival in the winning and also have the number one seed.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Uh, it feels good. I ain't like that first game.
- 17:35Speaker 3: You know, it's just a lot of a lot of
- 17:37Speaker 3: weird stuff that happened. I have heard things just ain't
- 17:39Speaker 3: going out. It's just NFL Week one type stuff. But
- 17:43Speaker 3: you know, we definitely had definitely I definitely had this
- 17:45Speaker 3: game circle.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I think some other dudes had this game circle.
- 17:47Speaker 3: But we you know we uh we won a division
- 17:52Speaker 3: one the number one seed from I mean, there's no
- 17:54Speaker 3: better way to knock off your rival and just take
- 17:56Speaker 3: it from them. Uh, you know that's that's that's in
- 18:00Speaker 3: its own like not good at night.
- 18:04Speaker 1: You had a good game. You had seven combined tackles,
- 18:06Speaker 1: one tackle for loss, one QB hit. What was it
- 18:08Speaker 1: like to play in a huge part and the shut
- 18:10Speaker 1: down a top ten offense in this league?
- 18:15Speaker 2: I mean that's that's you know, as a defense.
- 18:18Speaker 3: We don't we don't get too hot from that because
- 18:19Speaker 3: that's what we kind of do, like we're not you know,
- 18:21Speaker 3: we gonna take take our praise and take take whatever
- 18:24Speaker 3: we get from it.
- 18:25Speaker 2: But that's what we're supposed to do.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Uh, And that's what kind of like the routine we're
- 18:29Speaker 3: trying to get, especially when to win the Super Bowl,
- 18:31Speaker 3: Like that's what we gotta do to go out and win,
- 18:33Speaker 3: Like that's what I gotta play, like, go out and win.
- 18:35Speaker 2: That's what other PA players gotta play, like, go out
- 18:37Speaker 2: and win and to continue to win. So that's routine,
- 18:40Speaker 2: like I ain't you know, it's what we do.
- 18:43Speaker 1: Nah fast. So you got a bye week coming up,
- 18:46Speaker 1: Seahouse fans, for the Seahouse fans out there, what is
- 18:49Speaker 1: the focus like during the bye week to get ready
- 18:51Speaker 1: for this playoff win?
- 18:54Speaker 3: A lot of people probably take this take this by
- 18:56Speaker 3: week is like a break, but I mean it's a
- 18:58Speaker 3: break physically, but mentally it's not a break.
- 19:02Speaker 1: You know.
- 19:02Speaker 3: That's that's kind of like how we treating it. Like
- 19:04Speaker 3: we you know, we know what we got a state.
- 19:06Speaker 3: It's not the offseason, so you know, we ain't trying
- 19:09Speaker 3: to lose focus we're trying to got there.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Last time I had a first uboy went to the
- 19:13Speaker 1: Zoper Bowl. Bro, so y'all boy, Like I said, y'all boy,
- 19:17Speaker 1: playing real good ball. You playing real good ball. Not
- 19:20Speaker 1: even gonna lie to me, Bro, not gonna lie to you.
- 19:22Speaker 1: I didn't really know, you know. I used to come
- 19:24Speaker 1: to the side Calne all the time watching the get play.
- 19:26Speaker 1: You know, took him on the wing and you know
- 19:29Speaker 1: he came out there and training. Don't watching it. I'm like, Bro,
- 19:30Speaker 1: who is the dude? Keep picking all these you know,
- 19:33Speaker 1: like like you you had to pick every week. It's
- 19:35Speaker 1: all like uh, you know in the league, like how
- 19:37Speaker 1: it's gonna transfer over brou You you've been that dog, bro,
- 19:40Speaker 1: Like you've been a dog. Like like you're having a
- 19:42Speaker 1: great season. Uh you know, take this week, get your
- 19:45Speaker 1: mind body right now. It's time for the don't sell
- 19:47Speaker 1: A segment presented by State for him, we talked about
- 19:50Speaker 1: JSN earlier being an elite receiver in this league. Who
- 19:54Speaker 1: are some elite wideouts you played against so far and
- 19:56Speaker 1: what makes them different from other wild outs?
- 20:00Speaker 2: Mm hmmm, who we played?
- 20:04Speaker 3: I probably say I probably say Nico Collins from the
- 20:13Speaker 3: Textans definitely, Like I mean, he didn't really do it.
- 20:15Speaker 2: He ain't do it nothing, but he a good player.
- 20:17Speaker 3: So like he he definitely have respect Pooka. He a
- 20:21Speaker 3: good receiver.
- 20:22Speaker 2: He played. He had like a little game against us,
- 20:24Speaker 2: but you know.
- 20:25Speaker 1: It's pool be getting to it.
- 20:28Speaker 2: He definitely he a good receiver for show, a good receiver.
- 20:33Speaker 3: He can't take that away from who else. They won't
- 20:38Speaker 3: too many I don't know, weren't too many receivers that
- 20:41Speaker 3: kind of I've seen that kind of like did something
- 20:44Speaker 3: to us on defense.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I can be like no, and I really look at
- 20:47Speaker 1: the defense crazy.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Yeah we we we we played some some high lovel receivers,
- 20:54Speaker 3: but I don't I'm.
- 20:56Speaker 1: You know, so there are some elite dbs in this league.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Who with some elite dbs that you like in the
- 21:01Speaker 1: league and what you like about their game.
- 21:06Speaker 2: For Shure, Yeah, dbs started with my boy j C.
- 21:10Speaker 2: For so, I think.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Best in the league right now as far as like
- 21:15Speaker 3: definitely stepping into his game overall.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Like you know, he go out there and lock up
- 21:19Speaker 2: every week.
- 21:20Speaker 3: I think he got like five interceptions. He had like
- 21:22Speaker 3: two to one hand inter sessions. Like he definitely he
- 21:25Speaker 3: definitely feel himself. He definitely in that in that in
- 21:28Speaker 3: that CB one conversation. But you know, also say Pat
- 21:32Speaker 3: two just one defensive player of the year recently, so
- 21:36Speaker 3: he he definitely dB I respect. And then gotta go
- 21:40Speaker 3: with Spoon and Reep. You know them boys go out
- 21:44Speaker 3: there and play ball. I see they process firsthand, so
- 21:48Speaker 3: definitely get them up to them.
- 21:51Speaker 1: So for this segment, you're gonna choose which dB in
- 21:54Speaker 1: the league is best matchup for this receiver. So we
- 21:59Speaker 1: go just than Jefferson.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Jetta's I'll say, yeah, I like Rip because it's his
- 22:11Speaker 3: his length, speed, Jet's kind of crafty. He not like
- 22:15Speaker 3: really a burner, but I think I think Ric really,
- 22:18Speaker 3: you know, he can sit on a lot of stuff,
- 22:21Speaker 3: so he ain't got to be threatened too deep with
- 22:23Speaker 3: speed and stuff.
- 22:23Speaker 1: So all right, we go Jamar Chase.
- 22:28Speaker 3: I'll say j C uh because Jason kind of like
- 22:30Speaker 3: a big corner physical, you know Jamar Chase game, he
- 22:33Speaker 3: kind of like a bigger receiver.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Uh.
- 22:35Speaker 3: He kind of like you know say, he kind of
- 22:37Speaker 3: like built like a running back. But I ain't never
- 22:39Speaker 3: played him, but that's what they say. But ja C
- 22:41Speaker 3: kind of big, he physical and he could run I
- 22:43Speaker 3: think that match up would be a good match.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Up there, Uh Cede lamb.
- 22:50Speaker 2: CD, I'll go. I like I like Queon Mitchell Eagles too.
- 22:57Speaker 2: I like Quean Mitchell.
- 22:58Speaker 3: He definitely crafty, and he he moved different and he
- 23:02Speaker 3: he he definitely got that dog in him. So I
- 23:04Speaker 3: think that'd be a good match up right there.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Uh Tyr Hill.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Damn every day usually.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Got that tight speed keep.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 23:21Speaker 3: We'll shoot uh mh Probably go pack too, because Pat
- 23:28Speaker 3: you know he yeah, he definitely you know, he got
- 23:30Speaker 3: that link and he can run too, and he big big,
- 23:34Speaker 3: he can run.
- 23:36Speaker 2: He got good feet and uh he here a technician
- 23:39Speaker 2: for show. So I'll go pack. Uh A J Brown
- 23:44Speaker 2: a J big by the receiver too and he can run.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Let's see. I go Jay Brown.
- 23:52Speaker 3: I know he's kind of playing safety right now, but
- 23:54Speaker 3: I just like Jay Brown game overall. Like I still
- 23:57Speaker 3: think he can get outside on the island and go
- 23:59Speaker 3: give people. So I'll say Jay.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Brown, all right, pooping the col.
- 24:05Speaker 3: I got my dog, spoon spoon the dog. I think
- 24:08Speaker 3: Spoony him and Quinon kind of got the same.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Type of boom energy player.
- 24:14Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. I think Spoon. He no
- 24:17Speaker 3: matter what, go and go down Spoon or is the
- 24:19Speaker 3: same dude.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Get gonna run, fag gonna play hard.
- 24:24Speaker 2: You feel me? So a lot of dudes ain't never
- 24:26Speaker 2: really seen seeing seeing the corner like Spoon.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Like he really his energy. Really it's really through the rule,
- 24:31Speaker 3: like you said. So he he'll go out there and
- 24:33Speaker 3: just and put on the show. What if it's you know,
- 24:37Speaker 3: he'll Poogle makes some plays, he'll make some players, but Spoon.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Will put out that fight.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Good luck in the playoffs. You have an outstanding season,
- 24:44Speaker 1: your team playing well. Thanks for tuning in the Season
- 24:46Speaker 1: two of Cleat and Congos presented by State Farm. Don't
- 24:49Speaker 1: set up for any insurance unless it's state farmed Hm.
