- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up to Denver's Morning Show.
- 0:02Speaker 2: With Nina and Josh.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Mix 100.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Oh, good morning from Denver's Morning Show with Nina and Josh.
- 0:09Speaker 4: What a weekend.
- 0:10Speaker 1: It was busy.
- 0:12Speaker 4: It really was.
- 0:13Speaker 2: I mean, we kicked it off on Friday together. We
- 0:16Speaker 2: went out to Wash Park and we kind of put.
- 0:20Speaker 4: The people of Denver on... a bit of a scavenger
- 0:23Speaker 4: hunt to find us for some Bruno Mars tickets.
- 0:25Speaker 3: A little bit, and it was so funny to see
- 0:28Speaker 3: the reactions of people and how we didn't have to
- 0:31Speaker 3: wait very long.
- 0:32Speaker 2: No, it was like 25-ish minutes total, I would say.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it wasn't too bad, but we were waiting, waiting, waiting,
- 0:38Speaker 3: and then all of a sudden it just happens all
- 0:40Speaker 3: at once, right? Yeah. And then everybody shows up and
- 0:42Speaker 3: you're like, oh, you know, we only had the one pair,
- 0:44Speaker 3: but it was so funny to see The people sprinting
- 0:48Speaker 3: towards us and see the reactions of the girl that won.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I mean, come on, Tasha.
- 0:52Speaker 3: That was unbelievable. It was such a fun little thing.
- 0:55Speaker 3: I hope we get to do more of that type
- 0:57Speaker 3: of stuff.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 0:58Speaker 2: I'm going to push for that because that was a
- 1:01Speaker 2: lot of fun. And yeah, Tasha, she lived nearby in
- 1:05Speaker 2: Wash Park. And what happened is her friend, Sarah... saw
- 1:08Speaker 2: our contest, and her friend Sarah is like, girl, they're
- 1:12Speaker 2: around the corner from your house. I need you to
- 1:14Speaker 2: run to the park and get these tickets, and we
- 1:17Speaker 2: will go see Bruno Mars on Saturday.
- 1:18Speaker 4: And that's exactly what happened.
- 1:19Speaker 1: It's so cool. She was like, yeah, go now. She
- 1:21Speaker 1: was on the phone still.
- 1:22Speaker 4: She was on the phone, like speakerphone, everything.
- 1:24Speaker 3: When Tasha got to us and was freaking out over
- 1:28Speaker 3: the phone, it was so funny.
- 1:29Speaker 1: We kind of tried to say hi to her. I
- 1:30Speaker 1: don't even know if she heard us over the screams.
- 1:32Speaker 3: It was so funny, but I love seeing what a
- 1:34Speaker 3: good friend Tasha was too, of like literally sprinting.
- 1:37Speaker 1: She's like, okay, yeah, I live here. Absolutely. Let's go, go, go.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:40Speaker 1: And it was awesome to meet her. also meet James
- 1:42Speaker 1: who came later.
- 1:43Speaker 3: And it was just such a fun time to be
- 1:46Speaker 3: able to make someone's weekend, right?
- 1:47Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely. And they had a great time at the show.
- 1:50Speaker 2: They sent us a photo of them sitting in the
- 1:52Speaker 2: bleachers at Bruno Mars and tagged us in a video
- 1:55Speaker 2: as well on Instagram. And it was a great time
- 1:58Speaker 2: all around. And then, yes, Bruno did take over Colorado Springs.
- 2:01Speaker 2: There is So much to unpack from that show. Everything
- 2:07Speaker 2: from on the way there, I have my own thoughts
- 2:10Speaker 2: about that, which we'll get into later. But the show
- 2:12Speaker 2: was incredible. Bruno killed it. That was my first time
- 2:16Speaker 2: seeing him live, and he was so good.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Like he always does, though. The dude's a born performer.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I do have one little thing I want to talk
- 2:23Speaker 3: about the songs that we might not have to get
- 2:24Speaker 3: into right away, but there's one tiny thing after an
- 2:28Speaker 3: amazing performance by him that I want to talk.
- 2:29Speaker 4: About at some point.
- 2:30Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:31Speaker 4: I think around 6.30 we should just break down Bruno.
- 2:33Speaker 1: How about that?
- 2:34Speaker 2: Beautiful.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Let's do it. Break down Bruno at 6.30.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Sounds good. Thank you for waking up with Denver's Morning Show.
- 2:40Speaker 2: We're Nina and Josh. And coming up about six minutes away,
- 2:43Speaker 2: we have your celebrity quickie.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Of course, the MTV VMAs were last night.
- 2:48Speaker 2: And they didn't quite go off without a hitch, and
- 2:51Speaker 2: we'll talk about it soon. Well, the MTV VMAs were
- 2:54Speaker 2: last night, and it did not quite go as planned
- 2:57Speaker 2: from the start. So this was the first time that
- 3:00Speaker 2: the awards aired on CBS, and there was a football
- 3:02Speaker 2: game on right before the VMAs that went a little
- 3:07Speaker 2: bit late.
- 3:07Speaker 4: So it pushed the VMAs back by 20 minutes. And
- 3:11Speaker 4: here's the thing.
- 3:12Speaker 2: The show went on in real life as planned, but
- 3:15Speaker 2: the broadcast was really delayed 20 minutes. So fans watching
- 3:20Speaker 2: online or fans that were watching it live on their TV,
- 3:24Speaker 2: they started seeing spoilers online because in real life it
- 3:28Speaker 2: was 20 minutes ahead. Yeah.
- 3:31Speaker 4: It was a tough thing because people were complaining about it.
- 3:33Speaker 1: I mean, totally. And I understand that completely.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I also feel like in this world where everything is
- 3:38Speaker 3: at least delayed a little bit and leaks happen and
- 3:41Speaker 3: things like that, we should be kind.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Of used to that.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:44Speaker 3: And also, if you know that's going to happen and
- 3:45Speaker 3: you see that a football game is going long, just.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Don't open Twitter. Or X. Sorry, don't open X, you know? Like,
- 3:51Speaker 1: there's ways around that.
- 3:52Speaker 4: There are, but at the same time, they're not.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Like, you'd have to fully stay off the internet the
- 3:57Speaker 2: whole time.
- 3:58Speaker 4: And that a little bit defeats the purpose.
- 4:00Speaker 2: So, Josh, I don't know if you've ever done this before,
- 4:04Speaker 2: but the girlies love to watch something live.
- 4:08Speaker 4: And then you get on the internet.
- 4:09Speaker 2: And whether it's X or something else, you like to
- 4:12Speaker 2: basically live tweet it.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Of course.
- 4:14Speaker 4: And it's so much fun.
- 4:15Speaker 2: It's actually so much fun. The interaction, the back and forth,
- 4:19Speaker 2: the memes, the jokes, everything like that. But because everything
- 4:22Speaker 2: was off by 20 minutes, there was.
- 4:25Speaker 4: A lot of spoilers.
- 4:26Speaker 2: And, oh, my God, this jaw-dropping thing happened with Madonna,
- 4:29Speaker 2: but you're not going to see it for another 20 minutes.
- 4:31Speaker 4: And so it was a little bit frustrating.
- 4:34Speaker 3: I can see that for sure. I get how that
- 4:35Speaker 3: would be a big thing to make people upset. Yeah,
- 4:40Speaker 3: I'm not the type to live tweet something, though.
- 4:43Speaker 1: So maybe.
- 4:43Speaker 3: OK, for me, I guess I don't really care. But also,
- 4:45Speaker 3: are we that incapable of staying off the Internet?
- 4:47Speaker 4: Yes, Josh.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It's 2026.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Okay, you're right.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Hello?
- 4:52Speaker 4: It's not even a conversation right now.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Okay.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Anyway, there were some big winners at the MTV VMAs yesterday.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Madonna won a lot.
- 5:00Speaker 2: She won Artist of the Year over Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande,
- 5:03Speaker 2: Sabrina Carpenter, and everyone was kind of side-eyeing that win
- 5:06Speaker 2: because these are supposed to be fan votes.
- 5:08Speaker 4: And people are like, I'm sorry.
- 5:10Speaker 2: No disrespect to Madonna because, yes, her career and everything
- 5:14Speaker 2: has been ongoing, but, like, how?
- 5:17Speaker 1: I thought that was a little sideways too.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Um, I, I saw that again, I didn't watch it live,
- 5:21Speaker 3: but I saw that and I was like, really?
- 5:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Cause what was she doing to make her artist of
- 5:27Speaker 3: the year? Like nothing against her. I know she did
- 5:29Speaker 3: a lot this last year.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I understand that.
- 5:31Speaker 4: And that's what it was.
- 5:32Speaker 2: And she came out with an album and a couple
- 5:34Speaker 2: of music videos and this and that, but like nothing,
- 5:37Speaker 2: nothing super major.
- 5:39Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I never want to, I never want to question someone's
- 5:43Speaker 3: relevancy i know she's relevant it's madonna again it's madonna.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Like exactly exactly but how did she win artist of
- 5:49Speaker 2: the year.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I don't know i don't know you know what good
- 5:51Speaker 3: for her seriously well question mark good for her we
- 5:54Speaker 3: love that so sabrina carpenter is going to stay in
- 5:56Speaker 3: the news here maybe she was so upset that she
- 5:58Speaker 3: didn't win artist of the year that she's going back
- 6:00Speaker 3: to the silver screen i don't know but she is
- 6:02Speaker 3: going to be playing ginger rogers in an upcoming fred
- 6:05Speaker 3: astaire biopic starring tom holland she's going to be right
- 6:08Speaker 3: across tom holland in this Which is awesome. Director Paul
- 6:11Speaker 3: King announced on Friday that Margaret Qualley is also going
- 6:14Speaker 3: to join the cast portraying Fred's sister in an original
- 6:18Speaker 3: dance partner.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Adele Astaire.
- 6:20Speaker 3: The still untitled film here has been in development, Nina,
- 6:24Speaker 3: get this, for over five years.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Wow.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I know.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I didn't know this, but it's based on Kathleen Riley's biography,
- 6:30Speaker 3: The Astaires, Fred and Adele. And it's been approved by
- 6:33Speaker 3: the Astaire family, which I love, because they wanted Sabrina
- 6:36Speaker 3: to actually play this, right?
- 6:37Speaker 4: Oh, nice.
- 6:38Speaker 1: I think that's really neat.
- 6:39Speaker 3: He says the cinematic challenge to bringing to life these
- 6:42Speaker 3: icons of the 20th century is one that he could
- 6:45Speaker 3: not imagine doing without Tom Holland and Sabrina Carpenter by
- 6:49Speaker 3: his side.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I like that. Obviously, Carpenter has a lot of acting experience.
- 6:53Speaker 3: She started in the acting world with Disney and then
- 6:56Speaker 3: kind of moved just to music and being like, I'm mature,
- 6:59Speaker 3: I've grown up and all that stuff. And we love that.
- 7:01Speaker 3: But I like that she's getting back to her roots here.
- 7:03Speaker 4: I do too.
- 7:03Speaker 2: And I'm sure she's excited for it and her career
- 7:06Speaker 2: has come such a long way. And so now in
- 7:09Speaker 2: her adult years of acting, who knows?
- 7:12Speaker 3: When she gets to kind of go to the major
- 7:14Speaker 3: screen now, I'm not saying that Disney's not, Disney's obviously huge,
- 7:17Speaker 3: but to get to do a full length feature film
- 7:19Speaker 3: in a movie like this, especially that big of a
- 7:21Speaker 3: movie with Tom Holland, I like to see it. I'm
- 7:24Speaker 3: excited to see her. And also I love her as
- 7:25Speaker 3: a musical artist. So I think it's going to be
- 7:27Speaker 3: it's going to translate really well over to the movie screen.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Yes, the VMAs were last night, but Bruno Mars really
- 7:33Speaker 2: took over Colorado.
- 7:34Speaker 4: In general over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Had two sold-out shows at Falcon Stadium that we have
- 7:42Speaker 2: to talk about. But I got to let you know, too,
- 7:45Speaker 2: that right now we are live on YouTube. Go check
- 7:48Speaker 2: us out and make sure you subscribe at Mix 100 Denver.
- 7:52Speaker 4: It is brought to you by Safeway.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Safeway Pharmacy helps you feel your best this season
- 7:56Speaker 3: with their flu shots, prescriptions, and wellness essentials. You can
- 7:59Speaker 3: learn more at Safeway.com or on the Safeway app.
- 8:01Speaker 4: So at the Bruno Mars show, we went on Saturday.
- 8:05Speaker 2: And while that show was incredible, amazing, was everything I
- 8:08Speaker 2: wanted it to be, I'd never seen Bruno Mars live
- 8:11Speaker 2: in concert before. And yes, he puts on an incredible show.
- 8:14Speaker 2: He made it all worth it. But on the way there, Josh,
- 8:19Speaker 2: I was going insane in the car.
- 8:21Speaker 4: It took me three hours.
- 8:24Speaker 1: For a place that is barely over an hour to
- 8:27Speaker 1: get there.
- 8:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I feel so bad for you.
- 8:30Speaker 3: And I luckily learned my lesson years ago when I
- 8:35Speaker 3: went to the Avs outdoor game and the absolute. rash
- 8:40Speaker 3: fest that was to get in and out of Falcon Stadium.
- 8:43Speaker 1: It's crazy!
- 8:45Speaker 3: It is an active Air Force base camp, okay? So
- 8:48Speaker 3: because of that, their security is incredibly tight, and you
- 8:53Speaker 3: have to check in, and it just goes down to
- 8:56Speaker 3: like a one lane where it's like you have to
- 8:58Speaker 3: swerve through these little areas so that people that are
- 9:02Speaker 3: ever trying to do anything horrible to this country can't
- 9:04Speaker 3: just drive a straight line and be dangerous. It makes
- 9:08Speaker 3: sense But also for a concert venue or for something
- 9:12Speaker 3: massive going on, it is the worst thing ever. So
- 9:16Speaker 3: you either have to leave at 6 a.m. or essentially....
- 9:22Speaker 1: Be okay with missing the opening acts. Like, truly.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Yeah, for real.
- 9:25Speaker 2: And that's kind of what happened with me. So I
- 9:27Speaker 2: left my house. The show is supposed to start at 7.
- 9:31Speaker 2: We knew that Bruno Mars, because we looked on the internet,
- 9:33Speaker 2: that he wasn't going to take the stage until 9.
- 9:35Speaker 2: But I thought Ray was going to be performing, which
- 9:38Speaker 2: she ended up not being there.
- 9:40Speaker 4: So I guess I'm okay with.
- 9:41Speaker 2: missing that because she wasn't there but i would have
- 9:44Speaker 2: also liked to have seen dj peewee aka anderson pack
- 9:48Speaker 2: in his funny wig and doing crazy things on stage
- 9:50Speaker 2: which i missed all of that because it just took
- 9:53Speaker 2: so long to get in so i left my house
- 9:56Speaker 2: at 5.15, hoping.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Giving myself like two hours or so.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Which is, should be totally enough time, right? Which also,
- 10:03Speaker 3: side note really quickly, I'm sorry, is DJ Peewee slash Anderson. Paak, like,
- 10:08Speaker 3: I don't know much about him. I know Silk Sonic,
- 10:10Speaker 3: I understand that. Does he always rock that wig?
- 10:12Speaker 1: I think he has. It's hilarious.
- 10:14Speaker 4: It's so funny.
- 10:15Speaker 2: I think he has just since DJing for Bruno Mars.
- 10:18Speaker 4: They're just like.
- 10:19Speaker 2: They're kind of besties, and they're just goofy, silly, funny,
- 10:22Speaker 2: and I think that's just part of their inside joke.
- 10:24Speaker 4: I don't really know.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Literally having the best time ever.
- 10:27Speaker 3: So for me, Nina, I know you had really a
- 10:30Speaker 3: hell of a time getting down there, but for me,
- 10:32Speaker 3: the girlfriend was on a flight, so she was late
- 10:36Speaker 3: that day because that flight was delayed.
- 10:38Speaker 1: So we ended up leaving.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Literally like 7.15ish from my place.
- 10:43Speaker 4: What?
- 10:44Speaker 1: So, okay, hold on. You think that's going to be
- 10:46Speaker 1: terrible and we're going to get there at like 9.15, right?
- 10:48Speaker 3: No. We end up getting there essentially at the beginning
- 10:52Speaker 3: of the show. I think we got there.
- 10:55Speaker 4: You got there like a few minutes after he started.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:58Speaker 4: We sat by each other.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Yeah, we did not miss much at all. And I
- 11:01Speaker 3: think it's because we were on the tail end. We
- 11:04Speaker 3: did not hit any traffic until … trying to get
- 11:07Speaker 3: into actual, like, Falcon Stadium.
- 11:09Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 11:10Speaker 3: And so, truly, you either have to leave at 11 a.m. or,
- 11:15Speaker 3: I guess, we just learned, leave an hour before the
- 11:18Speaker 3: concert actually starts. Or, really, when the concert is supposed
- 11:20Speaker 3: to be starting.
- 11:21Speaker 2: That's insane, and I'm so mad that you guys made
- 11:24Speaker 2: it on time now.
- 11:25Speaker 1: We were so lucky.
- 11:26Speaker 2: I tried to be so early. And I know it
- 11:28Speaker 2: was because of your girlfriend's flight stuff. It's the technically
- 11:30Speaker 2: work stuff. But, like, I tried to leave so early.
- 11:34Speaker 2: I tried to plan ahead.
- 11:35Speaker 4: I tried to be prepared.
- 11:36Speaker 1: You did everything right.
- 11:38Speaker 4: But it still took just three hours. And it was
- 11:39Speaker 4: just so very, very, very frustrating.
- 11:41Speaker 2: And then because of my experience, and then on the
- 11:44Speaker 2: way out, too, we got lucky because we were in
- 11:46Speaker 2: overflow parking.
- 11:48Speaker 4: So we were kind of on the edge of things already.
- 11:50Speaker 2: And we did leave before the first encore song.
- 11:54Speaker 4: So we left a little bit early.
- 11:56Speaker 1: We all left around the same time.
- 11:57Speaker 3: And because of that, so kind of like you, because
- 11:59Speaker 3: we got there so late, we were in the very
- 12:02Speaker 3: back of the parking lot. So we had to walk
- 12:04Speaker 3: a mile and a half to get to the car.
- 12:05Speaker 3: But that being said, we were like the first ones out. Like,
- 12:09Speaker 3: there was no line that we had to meander our
- 12:10Speaker 3: way through.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It was easier. And I heard people were not able
- 12:13Speaker 1: to get home.
- 12:14Speaker 3: No.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Literally, Lena. What did you, like, till like 2.33 in
- 12:16Speaker 1: the morning, right? Yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 2: It said, people have been saying it took them two
- 12:19Speaker 2: and a half hours to get out. And rideshare was
- 12:21Speaker 2: even worse. Rides canceling on them. People were bribing rideshare.
- 12:26Speaker 2: lift drivers who took the bribe so then they canceled
- 12:29Speaker 2: someone else's trip it was just bad bad bad bad
- 12:32Speaker 2: bad so terrible i don't know i mean so much
- 12:35Speaker 2: love to colorado springs i know it was very exciting
- 12:37Speaker 2: to have a show out there it's just the infrastructure
- 12:40Speaker 2: with the parking and the traffic flow needs to be
- 12:43Speaker 2: a little bit worked on i don't know that i
- 12:46Speaker 2: personally can go to another show there Just me, myself.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Kind of with you there.
- 12:52Speaker 4: It was tough. I hate to say it. I know.
- 12:54Speaker 3: And it's like I've had season tickets for the Falcons
- 12:57Speaker 3: games from my young life. And I'm like, I love it.
- 12:59Speaker 3: I love going down there. It's such a cool event
- 13:01Speaker 3: and a cool venue. But I agree with you.
- 13:03Speaker 2: It's tough.
- 13:03Speaker 4: I just can't do it anymore. It's way too tough.
- 13:05Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 13:06Speaker 2: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 13:07Speaker 2: the office today. Like last week, a woman went viral.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Maybe you saw this video. After the cameras at a
- 13:14Speaker 2: baseball game caught her with a baby carrier on, the
- 13:18Speaker 2: child was all snuggled in. She was carrying a ton
- 13:21Speaker 2: of food, maneuvering over to her seat, and when she
- 13:24Speaker 2: sat down, her husband went straight for his food right
- 13:28Speaker 2: at the top, leaving her hands full, and oh yeah,
- 13:31Speaker 2: she's still carrying that baby, by the way.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and Nina, this wasn't even like just a couple of,
- 13:37Speaker 3: you know, bottles of beer or something like that and
- 13:39Speaker 3: a popcorn. This was like multiple things of food, multiple drinks,
- 13:42Speaker 3: and then the child on top of that?
- 13:44Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Ridiculous.
- 13:46Speaker 2: So people went insane over this video. Moms everywhere got upset.
- 13:50Speaker 2: And the husbands, especially this.
- 13:53Speaker 4: One, he got attacked for not helping more. And now
- 13:56Speaker 4: this woman who did.
- 13:58Speaker 2: The video, who was experiencing the whole thing, she went viral.
- 14:02Speaker 2: She is standing up for her man right now. She
- 14:05Speaker 2: said she got up to use the bathroom. She chose
- 14:08Speaker 2: to bring the baby with her. And she chose to
- 14:11Speaker 2: get food for everyone. She explained that her husband offered
- 14:14Speaker 2: to hold the baby and take food off her lap,
- 14:17Speaker 2: but she was like, no, no, no, I got it.
- 14:19Speaker 2: But I think there's still something to be said about that,
- 14:22Speaker 2: that that mom still handles everything at home.
- 14:26Speaker 4: It sounds to me like.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Does she not trust her husband to carry the baby
- 14:30Speaker 2: for a little while while she goes to take a
- 14:32Speaker 2: bathroom break?
- 14:32Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 14:33Speaker 3: There's layers to this. So obviously when someone... When something
- 14:37Speaker 3: gets caught on camera, there's two sides of the story.
- 14:39Speaker 3: We see the clip that happens, and then we all
- 14:42Speaker 3: make a judgment call on, what, a 10-second, 20-second clip.
- 14:45Speaker 3: We always do that for anything. So I'm sure there's more,
- 14:48Speaker 3: and I'm sure the husband isn't as bad as that
- 14:51Speaker 3: 10-second clip made him out to be. And look, maybe
- 14:53Speaker 3: the wife did say, hey, I'm going to use the restroom,
- 14:55Speaker 3: and I'm going to change the baby as well.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Maybe she offered that, okay? So there's layers to this, but.
- 15:01Speaker 3: It was a bad look, and it does give that
- 15:03Speaker 3: look to, like, the husbands are lazy and the wives
- 15:05Speaker 3: have to do everything.
- 15:06Speaker 1: And that's not a good look. We don't like that, right?
- 15:08Speaker 4: No, we don't. And it just made a lot of
- 15:09Speaker 4: people really upset for her.
- 15:10Speaker 2: But she's claiming he's the best husband. He's the best father.
- 15:14Speaker 2: No one has anything to worry about. Like, leave us alone.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Look, and maybe he is. Like, honestly, maybe he is.
- 15:19Speaker 1: But I agree. Like, when I saw the video at first,
- 15:21Speaker 1: I was like, bro, you've got to do better. You
- 15:22Speaker 1: have to do better. As a husband, you've got to
- 15:24Speaker 1: do better.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Maybe it's not as bad as it looks, and I
- 15:28Speaker 3: hope it's not.
- 15:28Speaker 1: You know what? I hope he is the best husband ever.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Hopefully not, but she is standing by her man.
- 15:33Speaker 3: And we do love that. We love when people stand
- 15:36Speaker 3: by each other. Nina, this is interesting. Permanent daylight savings
- 15:40Speaker 3: could be coming to the United States. Now, this has
- 15:43Speaker 3: been a bill that has been proposed for a long time,
- 15:46Speaker 3: and it's always been pushed off, pushed off.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Well, it's finally.
- 15:50Speaker 3: A major possibility here. There remains the chance that we
- 15:53Speaker 3: could be observing year round daylight savings as now the
- 15:56Speaker 3: bill is just waiting to pass through the Senate, I believe. OK,
- 15:59Speaker 3: so under the Sunshine Protection Act, states that do not
- 16:02Speaker 3: exempt themselves would observe daylight savings time year round. That
- 16:06Speaker 3: essentially means that we would never roll our clocks back anyway.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Right now they're rolled forward, so that's where it would stay, okay?
- 16:12Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:12Speaker 3: And the biggest thing for Denver is that we would
- 16:15Speaker 3: get sunsets not as early as like 3.34 anymore in
- 16:19Speaker 3: the December, January months.
- 16:20Speaker 1: Right.
- 16:20Speaker 3: But we would always have them around the 5 p.m.,
- 16:23Speaker 3: 6 p.m.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Hour, okay?
- 16:25Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:25Speaker 1: So later sunsets.
- 16:27Speaker 3: However, in like the January, February months, we would also
- 16:30Speaker 3: have sunrises around like 8.30.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Oh. Do we like that?
- 16:35Speaker 4: Ooh.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Whereas spring and summer months will always be the same.
- 16:39Speaker 3: So what we just experienced, that'll always be the same.
- 16:41Speaker 3: The early sunrise, late sunset, which we love. An 8 a.m.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Sunrise, though? That feels so weird. What is this, Alaska?
- 16:50Speaker 1: So late. That's what I'm saying.
- 16:51Speaker 3: So for us, the weird thing would be, as radio hosts,
- 16:55Speaker 3: I like the sunset time change because.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I can go to bed at 7 p.m. and not
- 17:00Speaker 1: feel bad about it. It is way late. I can
- 17:02Speaker 1: go to bed at 6 p.m. if I want to.
- 17:04Speaker 3: And I think you and I are always in the
- 17:05Speaker 3: minority about that because we're like.
- 17:07Speaker 4: Our job is different.
- 17:08Speaker 1: It's so different. And we need to go to bed
- 17:10Speaker 1: a little bit earlier.
- 17:11Speaker 3: So for me, I'm one of the people that's like, no, please, please,
- 17:14Speaker 3: please let our clocks fall back.
- 17:16Speaker 1: We love that.
- 17:17Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 17:17Speaker 2: I'm kind of indifferent when it comes to time change.
- 17:20Speaker 2: But at the same time, I do like. when it
- 17:23Speaker 2: changes initially, because it's like, ooh, it's so different from.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Before, you know?
- 17:26Speaker 3: Well, and when it does that for me, I know
- 17:28Speaker 3: it's always, like, halfway through November-ish for us. I love
- 17:32Speaker 3: it because I'm like, okay, we are in the holiday
- 17:34Speaker 3: season now.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Like, this is when the.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Don't you love it when it gets dark at 4.15 p.m.
- 17:38Speaker 3: and all the Christmas lights come on?
- 17:39Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 17:40Speaker 1: No, for real. I know that's so petty, but, like.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Yes.
- 17:43Speaker 1: That's a very real thing to me. So, I don't know.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I guess I can deal with it. It's not the
- 17:48Speaker 1: end of the world.
- 17:49Speaker 3: What it would really affect are the northernmost states, because
- 17:52Speaker 3: those are the ones that would have suns rises at
- 17:54Speaker 3: like 9 in the.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Morning, which would be really weird. I would not like that.
- 17:58Speaker 4: That's so bizarre to me. I don't know how I
- 18:00Speaker 4: feel about it anymore. I've got to think on that.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll see if it impacts us and if it
- 18:03Speaker 1: gets passed.
- 18:04Speaker 4: All right.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Well, the third thing you need to know is New
- 18:06Speaker 2: Mexico is mad at us. So the United States Mint
- 18:11Speaker 2: American Innovation $ 1 Coin Program. It celebrates innovation across all
- 18:15Speaker 2: 50 states, and new coins are released each year for
- 18:18Speaker 2: every state through 2032. And Governor Polis is basically declaring
- 18:23Speaker 2: war against New Mexico because he put the Pueblo chili
- 18:28Speaker 2: on our coin this year.
- 18:30Speaker 4: Claiming it as our own, saying we do it the best.
- 18:34Speaker 2: This represents Colorado's history, heritage, and strong agricultural roots. The
- 18:39Speaker 2: Pueblo chili is simply the very best chili that exists
- 18:42Speaker 2: and a key ingredient in delicious dishes across the state
- 18:45Speaker 2: and country. And New Mexico is livid about this.
- 18:49Speaker 3: I love how Polis essentially is just like, Literally start
- 18:54Speaker 3: throwing things at New Mexico.
- 18:56Speaker 4: Literally. So they're mad. But you know what? We got
- 18:59Speaker 4: a coin and they don't.
- 19:01Speaker 1: In your face. Take that.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Ella Langley. She is headed to Red Rocks. Her show
- 19:08Speaker 4: is completely sold out.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:10Speaker 4: The resale. Is ridiculous.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Like thousands of dollars.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Thousands of dollars to buy a ticket for resale right now.
- 19:17Speaker 1: It's just mean.
- 19:18Speaker 4: I know it is.
- 19:19Speaker 2: So her show, it's coming up quick, too. It's a
- 19:22Speaker 2: week from Wednesday, October 7th.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh.
- 19:25Speaker 4: Isn't that crazy?
- 19:26Speaker 1: I didn't even know that.
- 19:27Speaker 4: You break it down like that.
- 19:28Speaker 2: It's a week from Wednesday, which is insane. So because
- 19:32Speaker 2: this show is sold out and tickets are a hot commodity, obviously,
- 19:36Speaker 2: Mix 100 has tickets to give away.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Because we're the best.
- 19:39Speaker 4: Exactly. So you have to enter the keyword.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Your next keyword for those Ella Langley tickets is going
- 19:44Speaker 2: to be happening right at 8 o'clock.
- 19:47Speaker 4: So an hour from now. Do not miss.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Out because you could go see Ella Langley at Red
- 19:53Speaker 2: Rocks a sold out show with Mix 100.
- 19:56Speaker 3: Which is incredible come on of course seeing Ella at
- 19:59Speaker 3: Red like she's she's on such a rise right now
- 20:02Speaker 3: she might not ever get to play Red.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Rocks again exactly because.
- 20:05Speaker 3: She's going to be doing the stadiums things and like
- 20:07Speaker 3: that so this is like That one chance.
- 20:09Speaker 4: This is kind of once in a lifetime.
- 20:11Speaker 1: And we're hooking you up. Exactly. Come on.
- 20:13Speaker 4: We're the best. So don't mess out. We have three
- 20:15Speaker 4: keywords per day.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Your next one is coming up at 8 o'clock with
- 20:18Speaker 2: Mix 100. And Josh, we got to talk some sports
- 20:21Speaker 2: right now because our Denver Broncos.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Won last night.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Jeez.
- 20:26Speaker 3: I was sweating that one out. So I stayed up
- 20:29Speaker 3: for the entire thing. I just, I love sports so much, Nina.
- 20:33Speaker 3: For me, I don't know if you can do this
- 20:34Speaker 3: or not, but I... I just bleed Denver sports. And so, like,
- 20:38Speaker 3: whether it's a late Avs game, late Nuggets game, Rapids.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Rockies, unfortunately. But the Broncos right now. I just stay
- 20:45Speaker 1: up and watch the whole thing. I love it. So,
- 20:47Speaker 1: the first half was one of the worst.
- 20:51Speaker 4: It was scary.
- 20:52Speaker 1: The worst football I've ever seen played. It was so bad.
- 20:55Speaker 1: The Broncos.
- 20:56Speaker 3: I saw.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Couldn't do anything right.
- 20:58Speaker 3: No.
- 20:58Speaker 4: I mean, it was ridiculous. I saw the score was
- 21:00Speaker 4: like 10-0, and I was like, uh, I don't know.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Uh-oh.
- 21:03Speaker 1: It was just so bad.
- 21:04Speaker 3: So the Broncos were shut out the first half. So
- 21:06Speaker 3: zero points in the first quarter, zero points in the
- 21:08Speaker 3: second quarter. The Rams, I believe, were up 16-0 at half.
- 21:13Speaker 3: So it's not like the end of the world. And
- 21:14Speaker 3: the thing about this is I am torn. I don't
- 21:17Speaker 3: want to say I'm like the biggest Rams fan in
- 21:20Speaker 3: the world, but I like the Rams. I mean, our
- 21:22Speaker 3: boss owns them. So I like the Rams, and I'm
- 21:25Speaker 3: pulling for them. They're in the NFC, so it doesn't
- 21:27Speaker 3: even matter truly whether I'm cheering for them or not
- 21:30Speaker 3: for the most part because they rarely play the Broncos.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Right.
- 21:34Speaker 3: So... Tonight or last night was a time where I
- 21:37Speaker 3: was really pulling for the Broncos, obviously. But the Cronkies
- 21:40Speaker 3: were at Empower Field. The Walton Penner Group were at
- 21:43Speaker 3: the Empower Field. Like it was a showing of just
- 21:46Speaker 3: important people.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Amazing.
- 21:48Speaker 4: What up, Cronkies?
- 21:50Speaker 1: It was unbelievable to see that.
- 21:51Speaker 3: And I was like, OK, that's really cool that they're
- 21:53Speaker 3: both here and they're shaking hands and being all buddy-buddy
- 21:56Speaker 3: with each other. But then the second half happened and
- 21:59Speaker 3: the Broncos went off. Bo Nix started actually playing football.
- 22:03Speaker 3: It's like, oh, hey, you know what? Let's show up
- 22:04Speaker 3: and play. The Broncos defense was stellar. Talanoa Hufunga is
- 22:09Speaker 3: the Broncos safety. He had a pick six and then
- 22:12Speaker 3: an interception to cap off the entire game. They just
- 22:15Speaker 3: destroyed the Rams in the second half, which you love
- 22:18Speaker 3: to see. Broncos now two and one and looking like, again,
- 22:22Speaker 3: the team that they were last year. And this truly
- 22:24Speaker 3: could have been a very early look at what the
- 22:28Speaker 3: Super Bowl could look like.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Rams in the NFC, Broncos in the AFC.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Those are the two teams that were kind of supposed
- 22:33Speaker 3: to be in the Super Bowl last year, and they
- 22:35Speaker 3: both lost in their respective championship games. So for this
- 22:38Speaker 3: to happen this early in the season and to see
- 22:40Speaker 3: these two teams duke it out, it was so much fun.
- 22:44Speaker 3: It was such a blast to see the Broncos got
- 22:46Speaker 3: the dub. And on top of that, it was just
- 22:47Speaker 3: a good game. It was just a fun game to watch.
- 22:49Speaker 4: That's amazing.
- 22:50Speaker 1: I loved it.
- 22:51Speaker 3: I really think this could be something that we will
- 22:54Speaker 3: see again later on in the year.
- 22:55Speaker 2: And I just want to point something out, Josh. The
- 22:58Speaker 2: Broncos won, and I did wear my orange on Friday.
- 23:02Speaker 3: I know.
- 23:03Speaker 4: I did.
- 23:03Speaker 1: Guess who didn't?
- 23:04Speaker 3: You.
- 23:05Speaker 1: So we have to keep this going. Nina, I'm sorry.
- 23:07Speaker 1: We have to keep it going.
- 23:08Speaker 4: That's fine. We will do that. We'll keep it going. Absolutely.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I'm superstitious.
- 23:12Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 23:14Speaker 2: So Madonna kicked off the VMAs with a performance, and
- 23:18Speaker 2: really the whole night seemed to be for her. She
- 23:21Speaker 2: won seven awards, including Artist of the Year. She had
- 23:26Speaker 2: a bunch of cameos in her performances. There was Sabrina Carpenter,
- 23:29Speaker 2: Charlie XCX, Sombra, Julia Gardner, and for some reason, Seth
- 23:34Speaker 2: Rogen in head-to-toe leather.
- 23:36Speaker 4: But that's a story for another day, I'm sure.
- 23:39Speaker 2: Taylor Swift did win Video of the Year for Ophelia,
- 23:44Speaker 2: and she did praise Dolly a whole lot in her
- 23:46Speaker 2: acceptance speech, pretty much dedicated it to Dolly, which was
- 23:50Speaker 2: very sweet.
- 23:50Speaker 1: It's very sweet, yeah.
- 23:51Speaker 2: And, of course, Taylor Swift then did release the music
- 23:54Speaker 2: video for her latest single as well.
- 23:56Speaker 4: Did you watch it?
- 23:58Speaker 2: A lot going on at the VMAs. No, I had
- 24:00Speaker 2: other things to do because we had the Broncos on.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Amen.
- 24:04Speaker 4: But yeah, VMAs were just kind of all over the place.
- 24:07Speaker 2: We talked about that delay earlier on TV, so that
- 24:10Speaker 2: was unfortunate for the VMAs. It was about 20 minutes
- 24:13Speaker 2: behind in real life versus what was aired on TV,
- 24:16Speaker 2: so people were complaining about that. But yeah, lots going
- 24:19Speaker 2: on at the VMAs, and Madonna was a big, big winner.
- 24:22Speaker 3: I saw the Seth Rogen clip. It didn't make sense
- 24:25Speaker 3: to me, I'll be honest. I get it, he's funny
- 24:28Speaker 3: and everything like that.
- 24:29Speaker 1: But I don't know. I don't know.
- 24:32Speaker 3: I feel like people try so hard to do like outlandish,
- 24:36Speaker 3: memorable things. And again, we're talking about it. So Madonna,
- 24:39Speaker 3: you did it right. We're talking about it.
- 24:40Speaker 1: But I saw him. I was like, what are you
- 24:42Speaker 1: doing there, dude?
- 24:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I think both Madonna and Seth Rogen were like, hey,
- 24:46Speaker 2: let's do something.
- 24:47Speaker 4: And that's what they came up with.
- 24:49Speaker 1: They're just bored. You know what? They're bored. They want
- 24:51Speaker 1: to hang out.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Mary Poppins, the ever loved babysitter going all the way
- 24:56Speaker 3: back to like the 60s, I think, with Julie Andrews.
- 24:59Speaker 3: could be getting a new series reboot. And instead of
- 25:04Speaker 3: a movie this time, it could be a TV series.
- 25:07Speaker 1: But there's a twist.
- 25:08Speaker 3: The twist is that it's going to be notably darker
- 25:12Speaker 3: than the previous film adaptations.
- 25:14Speaker 1: And this is because P.L.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Travers, she is the original writer, the original writer of
- 25:21Speaker 3: the Mary Poppins novels. And the nanny described in those
- 25:25Speaker 3: books were a much darker nanny as opposed to what
- 25:30Speaker 3: Julie Andrews did in the 60s, which is like, hey,
- 25:31Speaker 3: I'm magical and it's bright and sunshine and rainbows next
- 25:34Speaker 3: to me. This is much darker. It said that the
- 25:36Speaker 3: Avengers in the books were magical, surreal, and sometimes even frightening.
- 25:40Speaker 1: And I like this.
- 25:41Speaker 3: So Disney's not even in the talks to be doing this.
- 25:43Speaker 3: It could be a completely different independent film industry.
- 25:46Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 25:47Speaker 1: I want it to be like an A24 film. That
- 25:49Speaker 1: is what I want. I want a horror Mary Poppins series.
- 25:55Speaker 3: And I think it would be really interesting to have
- 25:58Speaker 3: that take on something because we've gotten the Julie Andrews
- 26:01Speaker 3: and then we also got the Emily Blunt that were
- 26:03Speaker 3: both very bright and happy and exciting. I want like
- 26:07Speaker 3: a Five Nights at Freddy's type thing. I kind of
- 26:10Speaker 3: want it to be scary. I mean, they did this
- 26:12Speaker 3: with Winnie the Pooh. They made a Winnie the Pooh
- 26:14Speaker 3: horror series.
- 26:14Speaker 4: There was a Mickey Mouse, Winnie the Pooh. There's going
- 26:16Speaker 4: to be a Hungry Hungry Hippos coming up soon.
- 26:19Speaker 1: That's wild.
- 26:19Speaker 3: I know.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Okay, hold on. That's news to me. I'm going to
- 26:23Speaker 1: watch it.
- 26:23Speaker 3: But I would like to see something that makes it
- 26:25Speaker 3: a little bit more frightening and maybe more true to
- 26:27Speaker 3: the actual series. So I think that would be really
- 26:29Speaker 3: neat if this happens. There's nothing completely set underway. Everything
- 26:32Speaker 3: is still in talks. But count me in if they
- 26:34Speaker 3: go the A24 way.
- 26:35Speaker 4: Yeah, seriously. Evil Nanny. I mean, there are documentaries in.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Real life made about that.
- 26:39Speaker 3: I know.
- 26:40Speaker 1: I would like it.
- 26:41Speaker 2: So a TikToker was walking around and saw Ella Langley
- 26:46Speaker 2: hanging out in a parking garage with a bunch of
- 26:48Speaker 2: her people. And he said, you know what? I'm going
- 26:51Speaker 2: to shoot my shot. So he yelled through the fence
- 26:56Speaker 2: at Ella Langley. And here's what he said. How many
- 26:59Speaker 2: likes to take you on a date? And it was
- 27:01Speaker 2: really hard to hear her in the audio, but she said,
- 27:04Speaker 2: there's not enough in the world.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Okay, see, that's the right response, Nina. That is the
- 27:09Speaker 3: right response, especially because I think it was like last
- 27:11Speaker 3: week that she was spotted with another country artist, Young Buck,
- 27:14Speaker 3: out there.
- 27:15Speaker 2: Yep.
- 27:17Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I applaud the guy for taking his shot, I guess. Yeah, exactly.
- 27:21Speaker 3: What is it, Michael Scott? You miss 100% of the
- 27:23Speaker 3: shots you don't take? Hashtag Michael Jordan.
- 27:25Speaker 2: I think that's what he said at the end.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Of the video, actually. Okay, so there you go. Whatever, dude.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 27:31Speaker 3: There's no way in heck you're going to be getting
- 27:34Speaker 3: a shot with her.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Not at all.
- 27:35Speaker 2: And the thing is, is that he posted a video
- 27:37Speaker 2: afterwards offering her flowers.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Like, nah, bro. Gotta give it up. What the heck, dude?
- 27:42Speaker 1: You do not stop.
- 27:43Speaker 4: He's really, really trying, but he's got to give it up.
- 27:46Speaker 4: I'm so sorry.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Josh, we were just talking off the air, and this
- 27:49Speaker 2: is like crazy to me, breaking news almost, and I
- 27:53Speaker 2: feel like the people need to know about it because you... Infamously,
- 27:58Speaker 2: working on a morning show, don't drink coffee like a weirdo.
- 28:02Speaker 1: At all. I do not drink it. It doesn't touch
- 28:03Speaker 1: my lips.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Which I don't understand how you're able to do this
- 28:06Speaker 2: every morning without coffee. But you just told me, which
- 28:09Speaker 2: I think this is kind of breaking news, you're considering
- 28:13Speaker 2: switching to coffee?
- 28:14Speaker 4: Yes.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yes.
- 28:16Speaker 1: And I hate Nina. I hate myself for this. And
- 28:19Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 28:20Speaker 3: I just– I'm not– this isn't a religious thing. I
- 28:22Speaker 3: just don't drink coffee. I don't want to become– Like
- 28:25Speaker 3: the morning show host that's addicted to coffee and like
- 28:28Speaker 3: everybody else in the world, okay? So I've just always
- 28:30Speaker 3: not wanted to. However, yesterday I went to a new restaurant.
- 28:33Speaker 3: It was called Call Your Mother. Have you ever been
- 28:36Speaker 3: to– it's a bagel shop.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Have you ever been there before? No. There is a
- 28:39Speaker 1: brand new one that opened in Denver. My girlfriend went.
- 28:42Speaker 3: We went together, got an awesome breakfast, everything bagel with bacon, egg,
- 28:45Speaker 3: and cheese.
- 28:46Speaker 1: And they threw a little hot honey on there.
- 28:47Speaker 2: Ooh.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Holy smokes.
- 28:49Speaker 4: That sounds good.
- 28:49Speaker 3: First of all, so good. However, she got a coffee.
- 28:53Speaker 3: And it was like the most simple order ever. I
- 28:55Speaker 3: think it was an ice vanilla latte thing, whatever. Yeah.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Again, I don't know how to order this stuff, so
- 29:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 29:01Speaker 4: You don't know. It's too complex for you. That's okay.
- 29:03Speaker 1: No flipping clue. That being said, she always does this
- 29:06Speaker 1: thing where she's like, you get the first sip, you
- 29:08Speaker 1: get the first taste. I'm like, oh, it's coffee. I
- 29:10Speaker 1: don't know. Yeah, yeah.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Anyway, I try it and- You loved it. I loved it, Nina.
- 29:18Speaker 3: I was like, this is hitting. What is this?
- 29:21Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 29:22Speaker 2: So the drink that changed your mind on coffee entirely
- 29:26Speaker 2: was a vanilla latte, Josh?
- 29:28Speaker 1: I've never had it. Genuinely, I've never had it. I know. Apparently, okay.
- 29:34Speaker 1: So I also got made fun of. It's like the
- 29:36Speaker 1: most simple thing ever, is it not?
- 29:37Speaker 3: It is.
- 29:38Speaker 4: It's the most basic drink. you could possibly get.
- 29:41Speaker 1: I'm a basic white girl. Okay. No, literally.
- 29:43Speaker 4: That's what you're telling me right now. Like, that's the
- 29:46Speaker 4: drink that.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Is making you change your mind on coffee is a
- 29:49Speaker 2: vanilla latte.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Do I have the taste buds of like a high
- 29:52Speaker 3: school girl right now that just gets an eye?
- 29:55Speaker 1: Before English class? No, literally.
- 29:57Speaker 4: There are high school girls in the passenger seat.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Their parents are driving them to school, but they're stopping
- 30:02Speaker 2: at Starbucks on the way.
- 30:03Speaker 4: And that's exactly what they are getting is a vanilla latte. Wait,
- 30:06Speaker 4: iced or hot?
- 30:07Speaker 1: Iced. Iced vanilla latte. Of course. I've never had it.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I've never had it, Nina. I've never had it. Okay?
- 30:14Speaker 4: You're such a basic girly.
- 30:17Speaker 3: I cannot express to you how the rest of the
- 30:21Speaker 3: morning I was like, hey, can I get another sip?
- 30:22Speaker 1: Let me get just one more. And then also, hold on.
- 30:25Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever felt. A caffeine rush from coffee.
- 30:31Speaker 3: I love Dr.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Pepper. This is a different one. My head felt like
- 30:35Speaker 1: I was floating. I can't. I was like, what is happening?
- 30:38Speaker 4: I cannot with you right now.
- 30:40Speaker 3: I was experiencing so many firsts yesterday that I think
- 30:45Speaker 3: I'm going to dabble.
- 30:46Speaker 1: I really do.
- 30:47Speaker 2: You're going to dabble in the iced vanilla latte world.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I can't, Josh. Well, now I'm embarrassed. Is this embarrassing
- 30:52Speaker 1: for me?
- 30:52Speaker 4: You should be embarrassed, yes.
- 30:54Speaker 1: As a male in my 30s?
- 30:58Speaker 2: Really quick, before we get into No Before You Go, Josh,
- 31:00Speaker 2: you're getting a couple texts on the text line.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Some people saying, no, stay away from coffee, don't do it.
- 31:05Speaker 3: I know.
- 31:06Speaker 4: And other people saying, listen.
- 31:08Speaker 2: I'm 30 and my favorite coffee is an iced vanilla latte.
- 31:11Speaker 4: I don't care.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Okay, I like that. That's good. I don't know. I'm
- 31:15Speaker 1: so torn. I probably have to try it another time. Nina,
- 31:19Speaker 1: it was good.
- 31:20Speaker 4: We were just talking about it, too. So we'll perfect
- 31:22Speaker 4: your order. Don't worry, Josh.
- 31:23Speaker 1: OK, please. I need help. I feel like I'm 15
- 31:26Speaker 1: years old. It's fine. All right.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 31:29Speaker 2: the office today. I need to talk about Falcon Stadium.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I mean, so much love to everyone down in Colorado
- 31:34Speaker 2: Springs for Bruno Mars. And I know it was very
- 31:37Speaker 2: exciting having Bruno Mars down in Colorado Springs.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Huge show in your.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Town instead of you guys having to come all the
- 31:44Speaker 2: way up to Denver for But us Denverites had some
- 31:48Speaker 2: issues getting down to the springs at Falcon Stadium. People averaging,
- 31:52Speaker 2: myself included, three hours to get in and get parked.
- 31:57Speaker 2: And then two and a half hours to get out
- 32:00Speaker 2: after the show.
- 32:01Speaker 4: And I know that they're trying.
- 32:03Speaker 2: I just think that there is some more work to
- 32:06Speaker 2: do when it comes to parking and traffic flow over there.
- 32:09Speaker 3: And it's a bummer because it is not the first time.
- 32:12Speaker 3: This isn't the first time.
- 32:13Speaker 1: So you'd think... that they would learn, I guess.
- 32:17Speaker 3: You would think. But honestly, I don't know, because the
- 32:19Speaker 3: way that it is constructed, and again, I've said this
- 32:22Speaker 3: time and time again, and I'm sorry I sound like
- 32:23Speaker 3: a broken record. It's an active military base.
- 32:26Speaker 4: It's not supposed to be easy to get into.
- 32:28Speaker 1: It's not.
- 32:28Speaker 3: And like, I've even known this just from going to
- 32:30Speaker 3: Air Force Falcons games, which again, you're still fitting thousands
- 32:34Speaker 3: of people in there.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:35Speaker 1: You just have to get there early.
- 32:36Speaker 3: That's why Air Force games are so much fun to
- 32:39Speaker 3: tailgate out because you are there seven hours early.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Like you just are.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Cause you have to get there and tailgate. That's what
- 32:45Speaker 2: I've learned from this entire experience.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Or show up at the second quarter or the second act,
- 32:49Speaker 3: you know, like it's, It's just the way it is.
- 32:52Speaker 3: I'm sorry, but again, you're on an active military. Would
- 32:54Speaker 3: you rather be safe or not?
- 32:56Speaker 4: I don't know. Well, 100%, yes, yes, yes, which I
- 32:58Speaker 4: understand that.
- 32:59Speaker 2: But then if that is the case, maybe we don't
- 33:01Speaker 2: have these huge concerts there is all I'm saying.
- 33:05Speaker 4: I don't know. It needs to be figured out either way.
- 33:07Speaker 2: But a lot of people, it wasn't just me, a
- 33:10Speaker 2: ton of people really had difficulties getting in and out,
- 33:14Speaker 2: and it was an issue, and especially for rideshare.
- 33:16Speaker 4: I feel so bad for people getting rideshare.
- 33:18Speaker 2: People were not getting home until 2 and 3 o'clock
- 33:20Speaker 2: in the morning, and the concert ended at 11.
- 33:22Speaker 1: No, that's horrible.
- 33:23Speaker 4: Yeah, that was too much.
- 33:24Speaker 1: You've got to find a better way.
- 33:25Speaker 4: And it was cold outside, people waiting outside. It was bad.
- 33:28Speaker 3: I was thinking about this, and this might be a
- 33:32Speaker 3: way to do it, but the busing system. Somehow from
- 33:36Speaker 3: Denver to Colorado Springs, there's got to be a way
- 33:39Speaker 3: to get a busing system down there.
- 33:41Speaker 1: And then maybe.
- 33:43Speaker 3: near the base is where you can do a ride
- 33:45Speaker 3: share thing and then people can.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Then the buses just get stuck in that same traffic.
- 33:50Speaker 3: Yeah but if you if you get enough people on
- 33:52Speaker 3: buses and maybe it's free or comes with the tickets
- 33:55Speaker 3: that you buy or something like that if they know
- 33:57Speaker 3: they're gonna do this they can add you know maybe
- 33:59Speaker 3: an upcharge of 15 bucks or whatever but they know
- 34:01Speaker 3: they'll get us down there it'll be less cars on
- 34:03Speaker 3: the road so it's just less cars out there being
- 34:06Speaker 3: transported and Other than that, I mean, you literally have
- 34:08Speaker 3: to parachute in if you want to not be late.
- 34:11Speaker 1: It was just an issue.
- 34:11Speaker 4: That's all I'm saying. It was a bit of an issue.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Well, Nina, I want to talk, and this is hilarious.
- 34:17Speaker 3: I did not mean to do this. You and I
- 34:18Speaker 3: just talked about how I am now being introduced to coffee.
- 34:21Speaker 4: Yes.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Denver's being put on the map as one of America's
- 34:25Speaker 3: best coffee cities.
- 34:27Speaker 1: I love this.
- 34:28Speaker 3: This makes me so happy. Denver was put on at
- 34:31Speaker 3: the number 15 spot, okay? And we know Starbucks, coming
- 34:35Speaker 3: from Seattle, put Seattle at the number five spot.
- 34:38Speaker 1: So Starbucks is like top five.
- 34:40Speaker 3: But Denver's now top 15.
- 34:42Speaker 1: And I like this.
- 34:43Speaker 3: And it's all because of the mom and pop shops
- 34:46Speaker 3: that are here. They know their coffee. They really understand
- 34:51Speaker 3: out of a– I'm trying to look at this. It's
- 34:53Speaker 3: a 100-point system. that Denver's overall score was about 60
- 34:58Speaker 3: out of 100, which puts them at the number 15 spot.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Number 14 was Los Angeles. Right before we get Los
- 35:03Speaker 3: Angeles probably has hundreds of thousands of those little coffee shops,
- 35:07Speaker 3: you know, hole-in-the-wall spot. But other than that, Denver also had,
- 35:10Speaker 3: or Colorado as a whole, also had Colorado Springs and
- 35:14Speaker 3: Aurora on that list for the least expensive cappuccinos as well,
- 35:19Speaker 3: which we really like that because— Aurora, this is funny,
- 35:22Speaker 3: Aurora went from the most expensive to the number two
- 35:26Speaker 3: overall cheapest for the cappuccinos.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Okay.
- 35:28Speaker 1: And as a brand new coffee drinker, I love that
- 35:31Speaker 1: we're getting cheaper out here. That makes me very happy.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Because I don't want to pay a hand over fist.
- 35:36Speaker 1: For just a cup of coffee.
- 35:37Speaker 4: Right, exactly, exactly.
- 35:39Speaker 3: And that's what everybody's complaining about is how expensive they are.
- 35:41Speaker 3: So if they're going down, I love it.
- 35:43Speaker 4: And shout out to all the mom and pop coffee
- 35:45Speaker 4: shops out there.
- 35:46Speaker 1: We love you guys, seriously.
- 35:47Speaker 3: And the way that they set up their shops and
- 35:50Speaker 3: you can just, you know, do homework or have a
- 35:52Speaker 3: good conversation with friends.
- 35:53Speaker 1: I just love it. I love the ambiance.
- 35:54Speaker 4: For sure.
- 35:55Speaker 2: And the last thing you need to know is the
- 35:57Speaker 2: NFL has been handing out a lot of fines centered
- 36:00Speaker 2: over beer. So instead of like dancing, because they've really
- 36:04Speaker 2: cracked down on the touchdown celebrations, there are beer related
- 36:09Speaker 2: touchdown celebrations now that are getting fines. So the 49ers,
- 36:14Speaker 2: there was a player there that got hit with a $ 14, 000
- 36:16Speaker 2: fine for.
- 36:18Speaker 4: For pretending to chug a beer after scoring.
- 36:21Speaker 2: And then Cowboys tight end got the same treatment, $ 13, 000
- 36:24Speaker 2: fine for imitating shotgunning a beer after a touchdown. And
- 36:28Speaker 2: a Colts player was issued a fine of over $ 8, 000
- 36:31Speaker 2: for a similar gesture of drinking beer, pretending to drink beer.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Can I go off for one second? Go ahead. One second.
- 36:38Speaker 1: This pisses me off. The NFL is called the No
- 36:42Speaker 1: Fun League for so many reasons.
- 36:44Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 36:45Speaker 1: And it is because of this.
- 36:46Speaker 3: They make billions of dollars off of beer ads, beer commercials.
- 36:52Speaker 3: I'm talking ads like at the actual stadium. The amount
- 36:55Speaker 3: of beer they sell at stadiums.
- 36:56Speaker 1: True. The commercials on TV. Bush Light, Bud Light, Coors Light.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Uh-huh. Nina, first of all, I know the player you're
- 37:02Speaker 3: talking about for the 49ers. His name is Kyle Juszczyk.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Juszczyk.
- 37:05Speaker 3: It's a very hard name to spell, but people call
- 37:07Speaker 3: him Juice because of the way his last name is spelled.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Okay. You can say whatever you want. He did the
- 37:13Speaker 1: little tip it back thing.
- 37:14Speaker 3: However, he said, he goes, I have been known as
- 37:16Speaker 3: juice my entire career. I was drinking juice, whether it
- 37:20Speaker 3: was juice or a pretend beer. The NFL makes so
- 37:24Speaker 3: much money. Why are you finding players?
- 37:25Speaker 4: You're so right. You're so right. You're so, you're getting red.
- 37:29Speaker 4: You're flustered over there. You're getting mad.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Okay.
- 37:32Speaker 3: I can't even get my words straight because of how
- 37:34Speaker 3: upset this makes me. What I love is that there
- 37:37Speaker 3: are beer companies around the nation right now. I know
- 37:40Speaker 3: one specifically in California has raised money and said, we're
- 37:44Speaker 3: going to pay all the fines every single year. Every
- 37:46Speaker 3: single time he chugs a beer, a fake, some juice,
- 37:49Speaker 3: they're going to.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Pay the fine. I love it. I love that beer
- 37:51Speaker 1: companies are putting their names out there as well. It's fantastic.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Well, good. Yeah, the No Fun League. I like that.
- 37:56Speaker 1: That gets me so mad.
- 37:58Speaker 2: So Miss Reba McIntyre opened up about the final call
- 38:03Speaker 2: she received from Dolly Parton, and she actually missed that
- 38:06Speaker 2: phone call. So this happened at the end of July,
- 38:09Speaker 2: and Reba says that she was in a meeting. She
- 38:12Speaker 2: missed Dolly's call, but she saw... that Dolly Parton was
- 38:15Speaker 2: trying to call her, and Reba actually tried to call back,
- 38:18Speaker 2: but she never got through, never.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Got connected to Dolly.
- 38:22Speaker 2: And then when the news hit on August 25th that
- 38:25Speaker 2: Dolly passed away, she realized that that was her final
- 38:29Speaker 2: phone call from her friend, and she missed it.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Really heartbreaking, to be honest.
- 38:35Speaker 3: Honestly.
- 38:35Speaker 1: And Reba's also one of those.
- 38:37Speaker 3: ladies that is just like the nicest lady in the world.
- 38:39Speaker 1: Like she always seems so happy.
- 38:41Speaker 3: And it's such a bummer that for whatever reason, meetings, whatever,
- 38:45Speaker 3: she was just unable to get that call and then
- 38:46Speaker 3: never get in touch with her again.
- 38:47Speaker 2: You know, it's so, so sad and heartbreaking. I mean,
- 38:51Speaker 2: Reba and Dolly have been friends for years and years
- 38:53Speaker 2: and years, but yeah, it's just so sad that it
- 38:56Speaker 2: happened that way.
- 38:56Speaker 4: And Dolly, she, she hid the fact that she was sick.
- 39:00Speaker 2: From most people. So I don't even think Reba realized
- 39:02Speaker 2: she was sick. And was calling her, you know, on
- 39:05Speaker 2: one of.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Her final phone calls.
- 39:07Speaker 3: Well, I think Reba said she'll, like, she tried to
- 39:09Speaker 3: call back, obviously didn't get the answer. So I think
- 39:10Speaker 3: she said, like, there wasn't a message left. She said,
- 39:12Speaker 3: I'll never know what her reason for calling was.
- 39:14Speaker 1: Yeah. And I hate that. Like, that, it's not the,
- 39:18Speaker 1: I don't know, the closure, I guess, that you don't get.
- 39:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:21Speaker 1: It's heartbreaking.
- 39:22Speaker 3: It is.
- 39:22Speaker 1: It really is.
- 39:23Speaker 2: It really, really is. I mean, we miss Dolly every
- 39:26Speaker 2: single day. And actually, yesterday at the VMAs, there was
- 39:29Speaker 2: a Dolly video. Parton tribute.
- 39:31Speaker 4: It was very, very beautiful.
- 39:32Speaker 2: It was performed by Kacey Musgraves, who did a great
- 39:35Speaker 2: job at the VMAs yesterday with it.
- 39:37Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 39:38Speaker 3: As one should, you should give her the tribute because
- 39:40Speaker 3: she is such a mega star in the country and
- 39:43Speaker 3: just in the world not just even the VMAs in
- 39:45Speaker 3: the country world but in the world she is such
- 39:47Speaker 3: a massive star we're going to keep it at the
- 39:49Speaker 3: VMAs Taylor Swift obviously she is a perennial all star
- 39:53Speaker 3: there She has taken home so many different VMAs. Well,
- 39:57Speaker 3: she took home the inaugural Artist Director Honors on Sunday night.
- 40:02Speaker 3: And it has made her the most awarded artist in
- 40:05Speaker 3: VMA history. She has been tied with Beyonce for that
- 40:09Speaker 3: title with 30 VMAs.
- 40:11Speaker 1: I know, you gasped.
- 40:12Speaker 4: Beyonce!
- 40:13Speaker 1: They both had 30 VMAs.
- 40:15Speaker 3: And then she did break the record as this new
- 40:18Speaker 3: award is meant to recognize artists whose work behind the
- 40:20Speaker 3: camera is has expanded the possibilities of music video and
- 40:23Speaker 3: advanced the art of visual storytelling. And I believe that
- 40:26Speaker 3: does actually show Taylor's ability.
- 40:29Speaker 1: To do that.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Is that because Taylor directed the music video?
- 40:32Speaker 1: Yes. So it's the behind the scenes thing.
- 40:35Speaker 3: And look, Taylor has opened doors for music videos and
- 40:38Speaker 3: women in music videos and things like that for years
- 40:40Speaker 3: and years and years now. So I believe that is
- 40:42Speaker 3: deservedly so going to her.
- 40:44Speaker 1: For sure. But I don't know.
- 40:46Speaker 3: Are you okay with her breaking? I know you're a
- 40:48Speaker 3: Beyoncé stan.
- 40:50Speaker 2: I am.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Are you okay with her breaking?
- 40:52Speaker 4: I'm part of the Beehive. You roll your eyes at me. No,
- 40:55Speaker 4: I'm not. I do like Taylor Swift. I love her
- 40:58Speaker 4: a lot.
- 40:58Speaker 2: And I know that her fandom is major. Same with
- 41:02Speaker 2: the Beehive for Beyoncé. and they have kind of a feud,
- 41:05Speaker 2: the fandom.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 41:07Speaker 2: Yeah, they really do, and I think it's silly, and
- 41:10Speaker 2: I personally don't like to be part of it just
- 41:12Speaker 2: because I like both.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Is this fandom feud, or is this a feud between
- 41:15Speaker 1: Beyonce and Taylor?
- 41:16Speaker 2: No, so Beyonce and Taylor tried to calm it down,
- 41:19Speaker 2: being like, hey, y'all, we're friends.
- 41:21Speaker 4: You guys need to chill out, but the fandom.
- 41:24Speaker 2: They've kind of run amok themselves, and they're very against
- 41:27Speaker 2: each other.
- 41:27Speaker 4: And I don't know. I don't condone it, but that's
- 41:30Speaker 4: what it is.
- 41:31Speaker 1: So is it just because of these VMAs?
- 41:34Speaker 2: Just so many comparisons, and they feel Beyonce's been treated unfairly,
- 41:39Speaker 2: even though she's been in the industry longer than Taylor
- 41:41Speaker 2: Swift has, and different things, and whatever.
- 41:43Speaker 1: I mean, treated unfairly, she also has 30 VMAs. I mean,
- 41:46Speaker 1: she does. She does. She does.
- 41:48Speaker 2: And I will say, Taylor Swift, her being the most awarded,
- 41:52Speaker 2: it's because she... releases these music videos and these movies
- 41:56Speaker 2: that have her full concert up on stream. And like,
- 41:59Speaker 2: I love Beyonce, obviously, but she holds that close and
- 42:01Speaker 2: then she.
- 42:02Speaker 4: Locks it up.
- 42:03Speaker 2: We still can't see the Renaissance film again.
- 42:05Speaker 4: And I'm so mad about it.
- 42:06Speaker 3: And, and, but I think that makes it all the
- 42:09Speaker 3: more special where I think Taylor is a fantastic storyteller.
- 42:14Speaker 3: And I'm not saying Beyonce is not, but Taylor does
- 42:15Speaker 3: this thing where she will go and give you looks
- 42:18Speaker 3: that Probably no other artist pulls back the curtain like that.
- 42:22Speaker 3: And so because of that, there might be a bias
- 42:24Speaker 3: in giving her these awards because they're like, hey, look,
- 42:26Speaker 3: you're letting us into your life.
- 42:27Speaker 1: You're right. Totally. So maybe that's kind of giving her
- 42:31Speaker 1: the leg up right now.
- 42:32Speaker 4: I can agree with that.
- 42:33Speaker 1: But I love you, Beyonce. Don't be mad at me.
- 42:35Speaker 4: There you go.
- 42:36Speaker 2: So Ray did not perform at the Bruno Mars shows
- 42:39Speaker 2: this weekend because she was at the MTV VMAs. With
- 42:42Speaker 2: her boo thing, she and Michael B. Jordan were seen
- 42:46Speaker 2: making out on the red carpet.
- 42:48Speaker 1: The Michael B.
- 42:48Speaker 4: Jordan? Yeah. And so I'm.
- 42:50Speaker 2: Actually really mad about this because they wanted to pretend
- 42:53Speaker 2: like they were friends hanging out at a theme park
- 42:55Speaker 2: when they were spotted months ago.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Oh.
- 42:57Speaker 4: And everyone's like, oh, you guys are dating. This is
- 42:59Speaker 4: a date.
- 43:00Speaker 2: And they were like, no, two friends can just hang
- 43:02Speaker 2: out at the theme park.
- 43:03Speaker 4: Like, please.
- 43:05Speaker 2: And now you're going to be making out on the
- 43:06Speaker 2: red carpet in front of everyone at the VMAs?
- 43:08Speaker 3: Uh-uh.
- 43:09Speaker 4: I'm mad about it.
- 43:10Speaker 1: Yeah, that's an interesting couple. Isn't he quite a bit
- 43:13Speaker 1: older than her?
- 43:15Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Which, I mean, is fine. Like, who cares? Whatever.
- 43:17Speaker 4: Age is just a number, baby.
- 43:19Speaker 1: Especially in Hollywood.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Coming up soon, I mean, we're nearly into October.
- 43:25Speaker 4: We're basically there.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Which is insane. Yes.
- 43:28Speaker 2: And not that long ago, Josh, we went into Spirit
- 43:30Speaker 2: Halloween to start looking at costumes. This is something that
- 43:34Speaker 2: everyone needs to start thinking about. And make your plans
- 43:37Speaker 2: to head over to the Elitch Gardens Pet.
- 43:40Speaker 4: Parade with Mix 100. I'm so excited for this.
- 43:43Speaker 2: This is the first time we're teaming up with Elitch
- 43:45Speaker 2: Gardens for the Pet Parade. And it's going to be
- 43:47Speaker 2: on Saturday, October 10th from noon until 3. They're letting
- 43:52Speaker 2: you bring the doggos into Elitch Gardens, which is exciting.
- 43:56Speaker 2: And we want you to dress up your little furry
- 43:59Speaker 2: friend for the costume contest. There is going to be
- 44:02Speaker 2: a puppy costume contest to win some awesome prizes and
- 44:06Speaker 2: see the cutest little creatures in Colorado. You can sign
- 44:10Speaker 2: up your best friend at Mix100.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Com. And you have to think about what you're going
- 44:14Speaker 4: to dress them.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Up as because with this costume contest, I mean, it
- 44:18Speaker 2: gets competitive.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:21Speaker 1: They want to win too, little doggos.
- 44:22Speaker 4: They do.
- 44:23Speaker 2: And I just want to say that I have, I
- 44:26Speaker 2: guess my formal announcement is I have been asked to
- 44:29Speaker 2: be one of the guest judges at the Elitch Gardens
- 44:33Speaker 2: Pet Parade.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:35Speaker 3: I got a case of the peanut butter and jellies.
- 44:38Speaker 1: I'm so jealous. That's awesome.
- 44:39Speaker 3: What?
- 44:40Speaker 2: It's going to be Saturday, October 10th. I'm so excited
- 44:42Speaker 2: for it. And I can't wait to just see. I
- 44:45Speaker 2: love creative costumes.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 44:47Speaker 4: But seeing any pet in a costume just makes me
- 44:51Speaker 4: jump for joy. I love it so much.
- 44:52Speaker 1: Automatically. I love those. I love the little ones.
- 44:55Speaker 3: It's like, I don't know, if you have like a
- 44:56Speaker 3: little wiener dog or whatever, you can dress them up.
- 44:58Speaker 3: And I've seen it so many times as a little Chucky.
- 45:01Speaker 3: So a little Chucky doll. And it looks like their
- 45:03Speaker 3: front legs are his legs. And he's got a little
- 45:05Speaker 3: knife and he's running around trying to get you. The
- 45:07Speaker 3: cutest thing ever. Because Chucky's like a scary doll. When
- 45:10Speaker 3: it's a little schnauzer, it's adorable.
- 45:12Speaker 1: I love it.
- 45:12Speaker 4: Then it's cute. And then it's cute.
- 45:14Speaker 1: It is. That's right.
- 45:15Speaker 4: There's a lot of people, though.
- 45:16Speaker 2: There's this divide between people on dressing up your pets.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Is it okay or not? I know a lot of
- 45:23Speaker 2: people are like, yeah, it's fine. They like it. My
- 45:26Speaker 2: dog likes, you know, like a thunder coat. They like
- 45:28Speaker 2: to have something on. It makes them feel more comfortable.
- 45:30Speaker 2: But then a lot of people are like, no, don't
- 45:32Speaker 2: dress up your pets.
- 45:34Speaker 4: It's mean.
- 45:34Speaker 2: They obviously don't like it. So it's interesting, the discourse.
- 45:38Speaker 2: And I'm curious your thoughts on it. Text us, 303-691-1MIX.
- 45:43Speaker 2: Is it okay to dress up your pets?
- 45:45Speaker 1: Yeah, that. And hold on. And if you have dressed
- 45:47Speaker 1: up your pet, send us pics.
- 45:48Speaker 4: Oh, absolutely. Because we want to see it.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Please send us what you've dressed up your little dogs
- 45:51Speaker 3: and cats or horses or whatever you have. I don't know,
- 45:54Speaker 3: your emotional support lizard. Whatever you guys have. I think
- 45:56Speaker 3: they're so cute.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't think it's wrong.
- 45:59Speaker 4: I don't either.
- 46:01Speaker 2: I mean, they hang out with you all day. You
- 46:03Speaker 2: let them sleep on the couch one time.
- 46:05Speaker 4: Like, it's fine. They get over it.
- 46:06Speaker 3: Like, that whole thing, too, is like, you know, I
- 46:09Speaker 3: had a family with many kids. We had five kids
- 46:11Speaker 3: in the family. And then we also had pets and
- 46:13Speaker 3: any type of dog and cat, too. And us as
- 46:17Speaker 3: young kids, we're pulling on the ears. We're playing with them. We're,
- 46:20Speaker 3: you know, grabbing onto their fur. And there's so many
- 46:22Speaker 3: other things that you'd think they'd hate. And yet they
- 46:24Speaker 3: all loved us as little kiddos. So I don't think putting...
- 46:26Speaker 3: you know, a little cape on a dog is going
- 46:28Speaker 3: to be the end of the world.
- 46:30Speaker 2: And there's also different, I guess, extremes in dressing up
- 46:34Speaker 2: your pet.
- 46:35Speaker 4: You know, sometimes it's basically just a sweater and it's fine.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Or if your pet is okay with having more stuff
- 46:42Speaker 2: on it, then you add the headpiece and little sunglasses
- 46:45Speaker 2: or whatever it is.
- 46:46Speaker 3: And you can tell usually because they'll start trying to
- 46:48Speaker 3: take it off if they don't like it.
- 46:49Speaker 1: My favorite thing, and I don't know if this is
- 46:51Speaker 1: cruel or not. I don't think it is. I really don't.
- 46:53Speaker 3: But my favorite thing still is to try to watch
- 46:56Speaker 3: The pets walk when you put booties on them, when
- 46:59Speaker 3: you cover their feet, and they just cannot get it correct.
- 47:02Speaker 3: And each leg is moving in a different direction. They're like,
- 47:05Speaker 3: I don't know how to do this.
- 47:07Speaker 4: So, so cute.
- 47:08Speaker 1: So good.
- 47:09Speaker 4: I love it.
- 47:10Speaker 3: I love it.
- 47:10Speaker 2: Well, yes, I am going to be one of the
- 47:12Speaker 2: guest judges at the Elitch Gardens Pet Parade. It is
- 47:15Speaker 2: next Saturday, October 10th. You can go sign up your
- 47:18Speaker 2: pet right now. To participate and win some prizes, just
- 47:22Speaker 2: go to amix100.
- 47:23Speaker 4: Com. And remember, I'm going to be the judge. So
- 47:27Speaker 4: I don't know if you just like dress up your
- 47:29Speaker 4: pet as Beyonce or something.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Instant win.
- 47:32Speaker 4: Winner!
- 47:33Speaker 2: And coming up, we got Cider Days in Lakewood. It's
- 47:37Speaker 2: going to be the 50th Cider Days, which is exciting.
- 47:40Speaker 4: Isn't that crazy?
- 47:41Speaker 1: That's awesome. And I've been to Cider Days. It is
- 47:43Speaker 1: a must-go-to.
- 47:45Speaker 3: If you have not been there before, the event they
- 47:47Speaker 3: put on, it is so well done.
- 47:49Speaker 1: I love it. The drinks, the food. Fantastic event.
- 47:52Speaker 4: Yes. No, it really is.
- 47:54Speaker 2: It's great for fall. It's great for the kids. It's
- 47:56Speaker 2: great for date night, hanging out with your friends, like
- 47:58Speaker 2: whatever it is, because it's just such like fall vibes.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Because like you said, they have the food. They have
- 48:04Speaker 2: the apple cider. They have all of it.
- 48:07Speaker 4: And on top of that, they have a full schedule
- 48:09Speaker 4: full of stuff. That they do.
- 48:11Speaker 2: They'll have different, like, they'll show you how to do
- 48:15Speaker 2: things the old timey way, you know?
- 48:17Speaker 3: Yes.
- 48:17Speaker 4: Very important for agriculture and things like that. But it
- 48:20Speaker 4: is fun.
- 48:21Speaker 2: So it's happening Saturday and Sunday, October 3rd through the 5th, actually.
- 48:27Speaker 2: at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park. So go and check that out.
- 48:30Speaker 2: And yes, they do have a beer garden as well.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Yeah, duh, obviously. Obviously.
- 48:35Speaker 3: You know, Nina, speaking of something that made me want
- 48:37Speaker 3: to start drinking cider last night, for the first half,
- 48:41Speaker 3: that Broncos game. Now, I don't know if you watched
- 48:42Speaker 3: the entire game, but A lot of people– it was
- 48:44Speaker 3: a later game. It was the nightcap game yesterday. And
- 48:47Speaker 3: obviously you and I get up at the crack of dawn. Right.
- 48:49Speaker 1: All that good stuff.
- 48:50Speaker 3: So I forced myself to stay up for these games
- 48:52Speaker 3: because I just– I'm.
- 48:53Speaker 1: A sports addict.
- 48:54Speaker 3: You did?
- 48:54Speaker 4: Wait, so you watched the whole thing last night?
- 48:55Speaker 3: The entire thing. Oh, yeah.
- 48:56Speaker 1: I did not. I probably fell asleep because– hey, spoiler alert.
- 48:59Speaker 1: The Broncos ended up winning. Yeah.
- 49:01Speaker 3: I probably fell asleep at around midnight because after that, Nina,
- 49:05Speaker 3: I got so hyped up.
- 49:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I was laying in bed like, go to sleep, go
- 49:08Speaker 1: to sleep, go to sleep, go to sleep. And I
- 49:09Speaker 1: could not. I couldn't sleep.
- 49:10Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 49:11Speaker 3: I just get so excited about this. I'm a diehard
- 49:13Speaker 3: Denver sports fan. I cannot help it.
- 49:15Speaker 1: It's in my blood, Nina. Right. And so I'm watching
- 49:18Speaker 1: the game last night. The first half was... horrendous.
- 49:21Speaker 4: Yeah, it was not looking good. I was like, man,
- 49:24Speaker 4: it was.
- 49:24Speaker 1: It was awful.
- 49:25Speaker 3: Like, that's the only way to describe it. I was like,
- 49:27Speaker 3: let me get some of that cider.
- 49:28Speaker 1: But then, of course, the.
- 49:29Speaker 3: Second half happens and I don't know how they do this.
- 49:32Speaker 3: But the Broncos just start freaking playing football. Yeah, it's
- 49:36Speaker 3: just good. The way they do it is so much
- 49:38Speaker 3: better in the second half than it is the first half.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I don't know why.
- 49:41Speaker 4: They just needed to get warmed up. That's all.
- 49:43Speaker 3: Okay.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Well, you're killing me. Like, literally, you're killing me. So,
- 49:47Speaker 1: that's fine. It is what it is.
- 49:48Speaker 3: The Broncos end up winning on two interceptions from Talanoa Hufunga,
- 49:52Speaker 3: number nine for the Denver Broncos.
- 49:53Speaker 1: Yes.
- 49:54Speaker 3: One was a pick six, which was awesome. Bo Nix
- 49:56Speaker 3: did just enough to get it done. The Broncos' D
- 49:59Speaker 3: was immaculate, and they beat what could be a Super
- 50:02Speaker 3: Bowl favorite team right there in the LA Rams.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Yeah. And also... That's our boss. Right. It's Mr. Cronky. Whoopsies.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Sorry to you. We had nothing to do with it.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 50:11Speaker 1: Go Avs.
- 50:12Speaker 3: But no, it was just a fun game to watch.
- 50:14Speaker 3: The Broncos are now riding that hot streak, and they're
- 50:15Speaker 3: going to absolutely... Take it into next week, God willing.
- 50:19Speaker 3: We'll see what happens. You and I have to wear
- 50:20Speaker 3: the exact same outfits on Friday, okay?
- 50:22Speaker 4: Okay, deal. I mean, if you are this superstitious, I
- 50:25Speaker 4: will do it just for you, Josh. Just for you.
- 50:28Speaker 1: I hate myself.
- 50:29Speaker 2: So Josh, we're wrapping things up here and it is
- 50:32Speaker 2: time to admit our wrongs.
- 50:35Speaker 4: What do you got?
- 50:37Speaker 3: I had zero clue that I am talking to a
- 50:39Speaker 3: famous celebrity right in front of me. Nina, we talked
- 50:43Speaker 3: earlier about how we were at the Bruno Mars concert
- 50:45Speaker 3: on a Saturday night and you got a video of
- 50:49Speaker 3: what are the.
- 50:49Speaker 1: His, uh, the angel babies.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Yeah. Right. So we fantastic video. It was funny for
- 50:54Speaker 3: everybody there, but you caught the moment.
- 50:57Speaker 1: I did.
- 50:57Speaker 2: And I locked eyes with, uh, very well-endowed woman.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Yes, thank you for saying it.
- 51:03Speaker 4: You're welcome.
- 51:03Speaker 3: And you put that video out there, and you're like, hey,
- 51:05Speaker 3: this is a funny moment in the show.
- 51:07Speaker 1: It was great. You're at like six million views on
- 51:10Speaker 1: this thing right now.
- 51:11Speaker 4: I think it's reaching six million today.
- 51:13Speaker 1: And you are famous.
- 51:15Speaker 3: People are reaching out to you. They want the full
- 51:17Speaker 3: unedited version. They're like, we need to.
- 51:19Speaker 1: Talk to Nina.
- 51:19Speaker 3: We need to see more of Nina. We need to
- 51:20Speaker 3: get this from her. And I'm like, I'm in the
- 51:22Speaker 3: presence of a celebrity. Aww.
- 51:24Speaker 1: No clue.
- 51:25Speaker 2: I wouldn't go that far, but yes, I did go viral.
- 51:27Speaker 2: You're like, but yes.
- 51:31Speaker 4: But yeah. 5.8 million views currently.
- 51:33Speaker 2: It's definitely going to make it to six by the
- 51:35Speaker 2: end of the day because it's continuing. I have 275,000
- 51:38Speaker 2: likes on this video.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Bro.
- 51:40Speaker 4: That's crazy. Those numbers are insane.
- 51:43Speaker 3: Nina.
- 51:44Speaker 4: My social media is, like, after this, though, like, this
- 51:46Speaker 4: is my peak. And that's never going to be.
- 51:49Speaker 1: It's all downhill from there. It is all downhill.
- 51:50Speaker 3: I mean, Lena, I'm excited when I get 100 likes
- 51:52Speaker 3: on a post. So 200 and plus thousand that you
- 51:54Speaker 3: just said.
- 51:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Ridiculous. Hats off to you. Good for you, girlfriend.
- 51:57Speaker 4: Thank you. If you want to check out the video,
- 52:00Speaker 4: you can follow me at the Nina Blanco.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 52:03Speaker 3: All right.
- 52:03Speaker 1: What did you get wrong? Celebrity over there.
- 52:06Speaker 2: I got wrong that my even though I am a celebrity,
- 52:09Speaker 2: my plan to retire and sell my Beanie Babies, it's
- 52:12Speaker 2: just not happening. So Beanie Babies are worthless. Most collections
- 52:16Speaker 2: are worthless. And I was thinking about it. Modern day
- 52:19Speaker 2: collections are like the surprise boxes. Yeah.
- 52:24Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Yes. The squishies. Yes.
- 52:26Speaker 4: Well, any squishy or any.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 52:30Speaker 4: It's just I'm drawing a surprise in the boxes.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:33Speaker 2: But I think those are the collectibles right now. And
- 52:35Speaker 2: people do collect because there's like, oh, there's five total
- 52:38Speaker 2: and you never know which mystery box you're going to get.
- 52:41Speaker 1: Yes, they have like the Fuglies, right? Like those types
- 52:43Speaker 1: of things.
- 52:44Speaker 4: All sorts of them.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 52:46Speaker 2: So those are the modern day Beanie Babies and they
- 52:49Speaker 2: are going to be worth nothing later on.
- 52:52Speaker 3: Yeah, you just you got to go cry yourself to
- 52:53Speaker 3: sleep in your pile of Beanie Babies right now because
- 52:55Speaker 3: truly they will give you I mean, you can maybe
- 52:58Speaker 3: go buy.
- 52:58Speaker 1: A lunch after selling all of them.
- 53:00Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe.
- 53:01Speaker 3: Which is so sad because they really had the they
- 53:03Speaker 3: had booklets that would tell you how much they're worth.
- 53:05Speaker 4: Beanie Babies had us all in a chokehold in the
- 53:07Speaker 4: 90s for sure.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Good for them. I wonder how much they made off
- 53:10Speaker 1: of us.
- 53:11Speaker 4: Dude, for real.
