- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:30coop. So today we're talking about
- 0:32reassessing things. So I had some really specific
- 0:35ideas of some things that I wanted to do on the farm at the
- 0:38beginning of the year and here we are into the middle to the
- 0:43end of February, middle ish February.
- 0:46And I'm already reassessing and I wanted to bring up the pattern
- 0:51of reassessing because I think it's so important to remember
- 0:54that it's part of a process, it's part of growing, it's part
- 0:58of building. Reassessing is a constant and
- 1:00never ending deal that we do in order to get things to be
- 1:05better, in order to get things to the place that we say we want
- 1:08them. Which I laugh while I'm saying
- 1:10it because is anything ever really done.
- 1:13And this for this term of reassessing is you know used a
- 1:18lot in my world because I'm constantly doing it and I know
- 1:22it drives my husband crazy. Like he will say things like is
- 1:25it ever done. Can't we ever just let it be
- 1:27done. And we are very different
- 1:30creatures. He is more analytical and I am
- 1:32far more creative. So when you you know, have those
- 1:36two worlds collide, it's it's always interesting because while
- 1:40I do take an analytical stance on some things, nine times out
- 1:45of 10, it's always built with the flavor of having that
- 1:48creative balance with it. And I think that often times we
- 1:53really mess with ourselves because we don't want to
- 1:56reassess things. We think we have to just go and
- 1:59say, OK, this is exactly what I intended and then we have to
- 2:04leave it like that. So my point is reassessing as
- 2:08you grow, it's a constant and never ending process that you're
- 2:13going to grow as a person. Your mindset's going to change,
- 2:15your ideas are going to change. The way you see the world
- 2:18changes. The person you are at the
- 2:20beginning of this podcast is not the person you will be at the
- 2:22end of it. It's just we are constantly
- 2:26evolving. It might be in the smallest of
- 2:28small ways, sometimes it's by big giant leaps, but it is
- 2:32evolution. It in it.
- 2:34And it is a constant process that you cannot get away from.
- 2:38You cannot get away from it. And what's important to remember
- 2:41is in the reassessing, you got to let yourself have that right
- 2:46to do it. You can't beat yourself up for
- 2:48it. You can't say, oh this is
- 2:50terrible. I can't believe I'm I'm doing
- 2:52this again. I can't believe I have to do
- 2:54this again. It doesn't work like that my
- 2:57friends. The way that you should kind of
- 3:00allow yourself to go with this is this is where I am right now.
- 3:03And maybe in a couple weeks I will think something different
- 3:07and I will think something different.
- 3:08I would have never, when I planned this pharma originally,
- 3:12I would never have thought I would have already gone through
- 3:15two chicken coops that would not have happened in my world.
- 3:18I would never have thought that. I would have thought, Oh no, I'm
- 3:21still with my original 10. No, it's fine.
- 3:24I can make that work. I got a big enough one.
- 3:26Well, guess what? I didn't.
- 3:28And I had to reassess what my plans were with chickens.
- 3:31And then I had to say, OK, I'm going to get another chicken
- 3:34coop. I mean, this is, this is a a
- 3:39real enlightening process into how much you're willing to allow
- 3:44your imagination, your creativity, your abundance to
- 3:48go. So the reassessing factor of
- 3:51that's happening on the farm right now is me looking at what
- 3:55I want to grow, where I want to grow it.
- 3:57How I see this moving in more in with the flowers, putting
- 4:02flowers into a position where because there's such a great
- 4:06metaphor and they're so beautiful and they shift energy
- 4:10and everything about a flower makes people smile.
- 4:14There isn't. I mean, people just see flowers
- 4:17and they smile and being surrounded by them is lifting
- 4:21up. So as we do more and more things
- 4:24on the farm, I'm recognizing that I have to incorporate those
- 4:28things in and I have to, I have to put into into the play that
- 4:33more and more people will be visiting.
- 4:35I have to put into the aspect that I want.
- 4:40I want my farm to feel a certain way.
- 4:43I want it to look a certain way and I want it to perform a
- 4:47certain way. So I've got my, my, my pillars
- 4:51don't really change of the outcome of it, but what does
- 4:54change is the vehicles of how to get there.
- 4:56What does change is the the way I go about making it happen.
- 5:02So where you look at this and reassess is being honest with
- 5:06yourself and saying do I like this, do I not like this, Does
- 5:09this, does this work for me? Does it not work for me?
- 5:12Very simple, basic language. I know I've got to reassess the
- 5:15entire vegetable garden because we have a real issue with weeds
- 5:20and no matter what strategy we try.
- 5:23And I won't use chemicals, so that's not even on the book.
- 5:26So anyone who's going to message me and say get a chemical, I
- 5:29won't do it. So this is all about organic
- 5:31farming and saying, OK, how can I do this best with Mother
- 5:34Nature and how can I make this work in a way that gives me the
- 5:38result that I need and reassess without making something toxic.
- 5:43So we're working on that with the garden right now.
- 5:45We're figuring it out this year where I believe as of today and
- 5:49I say that, you know, gingerly as of today, we are probably
- 5:54going to use some fabric on the ground to make sure that it's
- 5:58protected from the weeds. So the plants have every
- 6:01opportunity to go and be as grand as they can be.
- 6:05But again, allowing for reassessing, I'm still taking it
- 6:08all in. The next two weeks are really
- 6:11deep in the weeds for that. No pun intended for me to get in
- 6:15there and say, OK, what will work and what won't work?
- 6:17So do some reassessing, See where you are, because I promise
- 6:21you it's OK and I promise you it feels fantastic when you start
- 6:25to do it and allow your creative brain to go off.
- 6:29All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I'll
- 6:31see you tomorrow. Bye.
