- 0:00Speaker 1: Dude, Dude, dude. Fan of the Darky Big Show podcast,

- 0:11Speaker 1: Kezy on your Instagram at Hodaky Big showtun into them
- 0:14Speaker 1: four to seven every weekday on Radio Hadky. Thanks mate.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Do you know what she sees during that opening stain?
- 0:23Speaker 2: I've blocked it out same. I couldn't write it down
- 0:26Speaker 2: for you.
- 0:26Speaker 3: I assume it's listened to The Big Show, yeah, or
- 0:29Speaker 3: seven weekdays.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I just don't listen to it. Isn't it funny
- 0:31Speaker 2: though that you listen to it every single day and
- 0:34Speaker 2: I could not tell you what she says?
- 0:36Speaker 3: Maybe we have like ten different ones that we rotate.
- 0:40Speaker 3: That's noise last year, that's last a couple of years.
- 0:43Speaker 3: It's pretty good in ages. Yeah, yeah, it's been great.
- 0:46Speaker 3: It's done a real service.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Man.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Hey, we're all we're all unshaven today.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yes, I yeah, looking like a circa ship.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Now. I I was going to shave today and then
- 1:01Speaker 1: I went on, now do it tomorrow. There's a spirit man,
- 1:03Speaker 1: you know what I mean? If you want to won't
- 1:05Speaker 1: mind if I've got a bit of hair on the face.
- 1:07Speaker 2: If you want to remain clean shaven, would you have
- 1:09Speaker 2: to shave every day, I reckon, I could probably stretch to.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Days, probably two days, but with the two day things.
- 1:17Speaker 3: So there's like a photo shoot thing I'm doing on Tuesday,
- 1:19Speaker 3: and I have to be clean shaven for it, right,
- 1:21Speaker 3: And so if I shave tomorrow, then that's I'm trying
- 1:27Speaker 3: to do the mass on like how to time it's
- 1:28Speaker 3: that I can shave on the Tuesday morning, right, because
- 1:31Speaker 3: I can only shave if it's long enough, right. No,
- 1:33Speaker 3: So so I've like if I remember, if I have
- 1:36Speaker 3: like one day's growth and then try shave it like,
- 1:38Speaker 3: it gives me a rash.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Ah, No, I get shocked. I used to get shock
- 1:42Speaker 2: in rash and could never work it out. It just
- 1:45Speaker 2: kind of stopped. But I know I'm talking into my
- 1:47Speaker 2: forties right as well, and it wasn't technique, but I
- 1:50Speaker 2: would just have like i'd break out and just get
- 1:53Speaker 2: sort of just on your chin there. It's just so
- 1:57Speaker 2: gna white heads. Oh wow, bad white heads, interesting, horrid
- 2:02Speaker 2: fucking things so much different ship fuck it suck. But
- 2:06Speaker 2: I think maybe my skin is just.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Old enough now, just youthful skin after you've raised it nothing,
- 2:13Speaker 4: And I think that's part of it, because I think
- 2:15Speaker 4: you start putting ship on it, and that's when it starts.
- 2:17Speaker 3: And were you putting stuff on it?
- 2:19Speaker 2: In the end, I found this stuff and it was
- 2:21Speaker 2: I can't remember what it was called, but it burnt
- 2:24Speaker 2: like fucking cure a scene when you put it on.
- 2:27Speaker 2: That's that's why I used brute after and it was yeah,
- 2:30Speaker 2: for that reason, but it was just hit a mess.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I think it was. It was either happening or it wasn't.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Never worked it out.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I always moisturize after I've shaved. I will, I won't
- 2:40Speaker 1: do it straight after. Moisturize every day, but not straight
- 2:42Speaker 1: after a shave. I've just started moisturizing every day. I
- 2:46Speaker 1: was fringing the other day when I was filming just
- 2:49Speaker 1: I shaved the day before because I want to be
- 2:51Speaker 1: clean shaven.
- 2:53Speaker 3: What shows that?
- 2:54Speaker 1: And then the next day when I went into the
- 2:56Speaker 1: makeup chair, they were like, N, that should be fine,
- 3:01Speaker 1: you know what I mean?
- 3:03Speaker 3: Just on the edge this particular character you're playing what
- 3:06Speaker 3: he can't be, you know what I mean. Let's say
- 3:09Speaker 3: his job was to be a waiter at a restaurant.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Is a waiter at a restaurant might be slightly unshaven
- 3:14Speaker 3: one day.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Not from one scene to the next.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, continuity, so it's easier. Keys.
- 3:21Speaker 2: He just.
- 3:23Speaker 1: To shave and every time I film be clean shaven.
- 3:26Speaker 3: Right, do they have a color here?
- 3:28Speaker 1: But I will it's doing my head and I'm desperate
- 3:31Speaker 1: to do something with my hair, but I can't.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Do what with you here?
- 3:36Speaker 3: He wants to do short sides of it and the
- 3:38Speaker 3: sick color color. Yeah, and he just ignored it and
- 3:42Speaker 3: talked about something else because yeah, that's the show though.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Yeah, cool, what I have noticed? I love gray here.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Can't you see on the sides the keys he there's
- 3:57Speaker 1: pretty plenty of gray there, mate. Yeah.
- 3:59Speaker 3: No, I'm just wondering if they're like, oh, this particular character,
- 4:02Speaker 3: this waiter at this restaurant doesn't have gray hairs in
- 4:05Speaker 3: the other seasons, but it doesn't matter if the character
- 4:06Speaker 3: ages right.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Well, obviously it's another season. No, I mean, it could
- 4:11Speaker 1: be a year on from the last season.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I was so pissed off just and I almost called
- 4:15Speaker 3: you Lucy, which is my wife, which is my natural.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Could be two years on, right, you talk to your wife.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Although today we're intentionally pretending to be.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Grumpy like that at one another pretend we do that too.
- 4:33Speaker 1: It's quite a lot of fun. It is fun actually,
- 4:36Speaker 1: or just when I board, I just ship steer horrifically.
- 4:39Speaker 1: I mean, I know you guys find that hard to imagine,
- 4:41Speaker 1: though I can be a ship steerer sometimes.
- 4:44Speaker 3: I feel like if you, if you would a list
- 4:46Speaker 3: my hobbies, right, it would be like, I like gaming,
- 4:49Speaker 3: I like watching NRL. I like old cars and murtorbikes
- 4:52Speaker 3: and stuff. I think your hobby, your first one that
- 4:54Speaker 3: would come up is being a pain in the arts,
- 4:56Speaker 3: like well darts. Annoying people is your favorite thing in
- 5:01Speaker 3: the world.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Possibly at home.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I don't think so, not near though, Yeah, I.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Mean we get on. I don't.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I don't like annoying you feels well, you do, though,
- 5:13Speaker 3: and I can imagine you're annoyed, but you're annoyed by him.
- 5:16Speaker 2: I'm not. I don't think he's actively annoying you because
- 5:18Speaker 2: you have to know that's right, yes.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Because but his wife who chose to marry him, that
- 5:26Speaker 3: your wife chose to marry you, so she's not annoyed
- 5:28Speaker 3: by you, which means you have to.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Then start she gets annoyed by me, don't worry about that, Okay,
- 5:35Speaker 1: she got it, genuinely annoyed with me the other night,
- 5:38Speaker 1: right true story this we we made.
- 5:42Speaker 2: That's the name of your your absolutely true story.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Thanks mate.
- 5:52Speaker 3: That's an acyc thing.
- 5:55Speaker 1: But anyway, we had fishburgers and she said, do you
- 5:59Speaker 1: want aoli on your fishburger? And I went, and she went,
- 6:04Speaker 1: what about sauce? And I said, I'll just have sweet
- 6:07Speaker 1: tie chili on it. And she was like, for fuck's sake,
- 6:11Speaker 1: every meal I cook you smother and sweet chili. Do
- 6:15Speaker 1: you act well this week? I must it met Apart
- 6:19Speaker 1: from last night's meal, I've had sweet chili sauce with everything.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Because that just happened to be.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It's just a side dish I like for my food.
- 6:31Speaker 2: My wife puts top sauce on everything.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Yes, and I often will you know, chuck and dry
- 6:39Speaker 1: chili on my meal as well, even if it's like
- 6:41Speaker 1: a creamy pasta, I'll chap dried chili spicy pasta.
- 6:45Speaker 4: So good.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Boy.
- 6:49Speaker 1: But you but having talking of annoying, you find mogi
- 6:52Speaker 1: annoying A.
- 6:53Speaker 3: In the car, absolutely, But in the cars the only
- 6:58Speaker 3: reason I find it annoying, it's like a funnynoying. It's like,
- 7:00Speaker 3: oh my god. And to be fair, it's both of
- 7:02Speaker 3: you Yeah, it's just the noises. Yeah, that's the only time.
- 7:07Speaker 3: It's the same at our office as well, because they've
- 7:10Speaker 3: got me and my other work mate. Yeah, she's got
- 7:12Speaker 3: turettes as well. She's constantly talking to herself, which one, uh,
- 7:18Speaker 3: the one you deal with, Okay.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Constantly talking to I'm like, who are you talking to
- 7:22Speaker 2: She's like me, it's like fucking But then I'm sitting
- 7:26Speaker 2: there like today gain five thick the an eight like
- 7:30Speaker 2: twenty times and just going you guys getting on it
- 7:34Speaker 2: this weekend. You guys getting on it. You were getting
- 7:36Speaker 2: that ten times. And so between me and my mate,
- 7:41Speaker 2: that's pretty annoying for the third person in the room,
- 7:42Speaker 2: I think. But she's got a couple of kids, so
- 7:44Speaker 2: she can tune us out.
- 7:45Speaker 3: They hang on imagine, So you're doing that. Yeah, she's
- 7:48Speaker 3: doing the same thing, and then Tinker is sitting on
- 7:50Speaker 3: the couch.
- 7:56Speaker 2: I big to saying that it would be the whole
- 8:04Speaker 2: Big Show week.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Days from four on Radio Hurarchy, they Big Show Podcast.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I talk to myself all the time. My wife. My
- 8:16Speaker 1: wife will often who are you talking to me?
- 8:20Speaker 3: What are you doing?
- 8:21Speaker 1: Or I just make weird noises.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Oh my god, this is such a revelation, Jason.
- 8:26Speaker 1: It feels like we talk about this twice a week,
- 8:27Speaker 1: which is which is used to drive my mates mad
- 8:32Speaker 1: at school.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Oh my god, I've heard the story itself, and you
- 8:34Speaker 2: can't keep saying that.
- 8:37Speaker 1: We've got You're just born at the podcast, Bogie.
- 8:40Speaker 2: No, I love the podcast. But the podcast is the
- 8:43Speaker 2: funnest But is that I think so, isn't it? I
- 8:46Speaker 2: like it funnest, but for me like it because it's
- 8:48Speaker 2: non stop talking. Yeah, you just the funnest.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Now.
- 8:51Speaker 3: The funnest part for me is when we got like
- 8:53Speaker 3: a you know, a liner to read.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Again, a guesst, a gust in the studio. You like that,
- 8:59Speaker 2: A couple of breaks, Yep, I like that.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I find when I have a guess, especially if it's
- 9:03Speaker 1: a well known guess, my my stress levels go up
- 9:06Speaker 1: a bit.
- 9:06Speaker 3: Yeah, it's because you know that you're not the big
- 9:08Speaker 3: dog on the show anymore, because the well known guest
- 9:11Speaker 3: is in.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I do you know what?
- 9:14Speaker 1: You know?
- 9:14Speaker 2: What? As I compare it to, is because I, you know,
- 9:17Speaker 2: listen to Matt and Jerry from very early on, yes,
- 9:20Speaker 2: and then becoming aware that they you know, you've heard
- 9:24Speaker 2: this story old grand Air coming out all the stories
- 9:29Speaker 2: that you've heard, and I'm so scared of getting to that,
- 9:32Speaker 2: which we will. There's no way you can avoid it. Yes,
- 9:34Speaker 2: that you are just saying the same things over and
- 9:36Speaker 2: over again. It's like when you get together with your mates.
- 9:39Speaker 2: And this started happening to me quite a long time ago,
- 9:42Speaker 2: where you initially you would just get together and you
- 9:45Speaker 2: just get on it.
- 9:46Speaker 1: That was it.
- 9:47Speaker 2: But then at a certain point something happens where you
- 9:49Speaker 2: start talking about all the stuff that all your stories
- 9:52Speaker 2: from the things that you used to do, and you
- 9:54Speaker 2: actually stop generating new stories or you're going to sit
- 9:57Speaker 2: around and talk about what you used to do.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Because you're catching And now is it because that's happened
- 10:02Speaker 3: to me now right, it happens to me with all
- 10:05Speaker 3: my mates, who are you still live in the same
- 10:07Speaker 3: city with them. Whenever we catch up, that happens. Yeah,
- 10:09Speaker 3: the reminisce. But when I catch up with like Maniah
- 10:11Speaker 3: and people in Auckland, it doesn't happen.
- 10:14Speaker 2: No, it's probably right, it's probably a catch up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:16Speaker 3: As opposed to it's Saturday on board, let's get on
- 10:19Speaker 3: the person.
- 10:19Speaker 1: You can really wats on to that with twenty six
- 10:22Speaker 1: years of marriage. Yeah, man, and I'm constantly pulling myself
- 10:26Speaker 1: up on that. No, I'm not going to tell that story.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Because I do wonder because what's really important is that
- 10:33Speaker 2: you go off and you do things alone or separately, yes,
- 10:37Speaker 2: so that you've actually got shipped to talk about when
- 10:39Speaker 2: you come back together. I think my wife and I
- 10:40Speaker 2: are guilty of like, well, if we can't get a
- 10:42Speaker 2: babysitter and both go, then neither of us go, which
- 10:45Speaker 2: means we stay in the house and we've got no yarns. Yeah,
- 10:49Speaker 2: the next thing, you know, it's fuck sake, Lucy. You've
- 10:52Speaker 2: got work stories, and.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Our stories are last generally every night about three minutes.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Well, there's where you go home and how was workers?
- 11:01Speaker 2: The same?
- 11:01Speaker 3: Don't say it's the same old about the big chase
- 11:07Speaker 3: I've started. My wife and I do it too, But
- 11:10Speaker 3: she like will tell a funny story from her childhood
- 11:12Speaker 3: to me, and then I'll finish the story for her.
- 11:14Speaker 3: I'll just interrupt finish the story for her, and I
- 11:16Speaker 3: can see it. She's just like real gutted about it
- 11:18Speaker 3: because she's really excited to tell it. But I know
- 11:20Speaker 3: everything about her.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yeah, still that she hasn't heard before, which is good.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Same, I tell her she hasn't here, But you, guys,
- 11:28Speaker 3: but tell the audience yearns every day that they've never
- 11:31Speaker 3: heard before.
- 11:31Speaker 1: But having said that, you track her though, so you
- 11:34Speaker 1: do know? You do know what I mean?
- 11:36Speaker 2: I forgot about it.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Have you got audio recordings on your phone as well?
- 11:39Speaker 3: I've heard?
- 11:40Speaker 1: Should I hope? By the way, should I hope not?
- 11:43Speaker 3: I'll try. I tried to catch me and Jason were
- 11:45Speaker 3: chatting about the Warriors Mike.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Tracking devices a bakesy.
- 11:49Speaker 3: And me and me and Jace were chatting about the
- 11:52Speaker 3: Warriors out in the office, and I tried to record
- 11:55Speaker 3: him bagging them because he was and then.
- 12:00Speaker 1: It's just annoying.
- 12:01Speaker 3: But if they win the last three games, no.
- 12:05Speaker 2: They won't, so what you just hop off the badwig.
- 12:08Speaker 3: And as soon as I start losing. But he was
- 12:12Speaker 3: really ripping into them before that, and he walked off
- 12:16Speaker 3: trying to get it out of him.
- 12:17Speaker 1: And that's the other thing, too, is finishing each other's
- 12:19Speaker 1: sentences like cush and I began my wife and I
- 12:23Speaker 1: began to do that a little bit, and it's like, no,
- 12:26Speaker 1: this needs to stop right now. Why Well, because that's
- 12:31Speaker 1: when you're with other people when you're finishing each other's
- 12:33Speaker 1: sentence and it's not good.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Oh like in acute way. No, you're just over your
- 12:39Speaker 2: partner's voice. You're not in the hurry up, so you
- 12:41Speaker 2: finish it. Yeah, that's sort of thing. But yeah, it
- 12:45Speaker 2: is interesting, And I meant my wife and I often
- 12:48Speaker 2: have that yea where it's like, do we even need
- 12:51Speaker 2: two of us?
- 12:52Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 12:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but you'll get your going somewhere and we're dressed
- 12:55Speaker 2: with get dressed separately obviously without knowing what the other
- 12:58Speaker 2: person's wearing, and we dressed the same. I've got a
- 13:00Speaker 2: cutre with you know, yes she's sir, you say the
- 13:05Speaker 2: same ship.
- 13:05Speaker 3: I don't know, but the problem is, yeah, but if
- 13:09Speaker 3: you if you get into a whole, do we even
- 13:11Speaker 3: need two of our situation? Yeah, we're going to keep
- 13:14Speaker 3: going to be the first to go, like ninety nine
- 13:16Speaker 3: times out of one hundred.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Yeah, well we do the thing. We had it today
- 13:20Speaker 1: and my wife went, do you want to go and
- 13:21Speaker 1: see this film with a maide of mine? And I said,
- 13:24Speaker 1: oh yeah, and then she said I'll get two tickets anyway,
- 13:29Speaker 1: and I said, oh no, I'll come, and she said, oh, well,
- 13:31Speaker 1: if you don't want to then I've got fucking ask
- 13:33Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. And
- 13:35Speaker 1: she does that with everything she books now because I go,
- 13:38Speaker 1: oh yeah, yeah, yeah, and then she obviously goes, well,
- 13:41Speaker 1: we'll see on the day whether you actually do it
- 13:43Speaker 1: or not. Most of the time I do. But she's
- 13:46Speaker 1: very good at But you're trying to be better, aren't you.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I am trying to be better at that. We're doing
- 13:51Speaker 1: more social Why don't we hang out?
- 13:53Speaker 2: Okay with who? That's all of us? What, let's all
- 13:56Speaker 2: hang out. I spend more time with you than I
- 13:59Speaker 2: do with my wife, and that's no ship and my kid.
- 14:04Speaker 2: That's straight out doesn't that. But you still it's true.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Would you look at me?
- 14:07Speaker 2: It's probably true.
- 14:08Speaker 3: You spend more time with me and Jason.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Well, there's a two hours prepped before the Charley yep,
- 14:14Speaker 1: then the three hour show.
- 14:15Speaker 2: What are in the morning? And the hour debrief, yeah,
- 14:18Speaker 2: debrief after certainly my wife had be running close. Yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 2: but you like next to her unconscious every night most
- 14:24Speaker 2: of the time mostly I'm unconscious. I wake up heaps.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Last night fucking oh no, I had the worst sleep.
- 14:32Speaker 2: You're like hanging out with my toddler man.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Chest. Hey, but it's fifteen minutes, good content.
- 14:42Speaker 2: We're so excited that it's Friday and we don't have
- 14:44Speaker 2: to see each other tomorrow.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Jason's got cotton ball head and an itchy chest. Cotton
- 14:50Speaker 3: ball head and it was a bit weird the just
- 14:54Speaker 3: so you're aware, cotton ball head.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not happy, man?
- 15:00Speaker 2: What the fuck is cotton ball head?
- 15:02Speaker 1: You know where you feel like your head's full of
- 15:04Speaker 1: cotton wolves?
- 15:05Speaker 2: No, it's kind of do you feel a bit just
- 15:09Speaker 2: like zoned out, but it's like a cold's coming on. Well,
- 15:12Speaker 2: it's like put a pressure in the head or not.
- 15:14Speaker 1: No, not pressure. It's just a kind of wooziness.
- 15:19Speaker 2: So Jason's woozy, right't feeling a bit woozy? Yeah, let's
- 15:23Speaker 2: standard Jesus.
- 15:23Speaker 1: And my next saw my shoulders, I saw my chest.
- 15:27Speaker 2: So we should find out. We should find out from
- 15:30Speaker 2: the listeners what our bingo card of same old, same
- 15:33Speaker 2: old yarns?
- 15:33Speaker 1: As sure?
- 15:34Speaker 2: Wouldn't that be interesting? I'll be interested to know what
- 15:37Speaker 2: I bang on about. Sleep for sure, fitness honkers, I
- 15:42Speaker 2: don't I don't have a what, but like the remember
- 15:45Speaker 2: when this happened because old Grandpa coming down the stairs
- 15:48Speaker 2: is different too. Hey, guys on going to the gym.
