  I know I mentioned before that I was going to add something a bit

  different to the podcast, and to be truthful, God has really been

  speaking to me about this for a while.

  And that is to come on here and share some biblical truth with

  you that I'm learning along the way and walk through some of the

  realize that I could personalize a verse by my name within the

  verses. So this is how it's going to go.

  I'm going to walk you through a verse taken from my contentment
• 1:03
  section of the journal, and we are going to personalize it.

  Then we're going to journey through the verse together a
• 1:11
  little deeper, almost like a mini Bible study.

  And I just hope you will come away with your faith
• 1:19
  strengthened and you're encouraged by God's powerful
• 1:23
  living word. That's my prayer over this solo
• 1:27
  episode. So for today's scripture, I'll
• 1:31
  be leading us through the message version of Matthew 634,
• 1:35
  or I'll also share it in the NIV version as well.

  And it says give your entire attention to what God is doing
• 1:43
  right now and don't get worked up about what may or may not
• 1:47
  happen tomorrow. God will help you deal with
• 1:50
  whatever hard things come up when the time comes.
• 1:55
  Now let's take this verse and replace that word you and insert
• 2:01
  your name within the verse so it will say give Jamie's entire
• 2:06
  attention to what God is doing right now and don't get worked
• 2:11
  up about what may or may not happen tomorrow.
• 2:15
  God will help Jamie deal with whatever hard things come up
• 2:20
  when the time comes. Now your turn.

  Let's place your name inside the verse.
• 2:27
  So say give and then put in your name entire attention to what
• 2:32
  God is doing right now. And don't get worked up about
• 2:35
  what may or may not happen tomorrow.
• 2:38
  God will help put in your name. Deal with whatever hard things
• 2:43
  come up when the time comes. So how does that make you feel
• 2:48
  when it's personalized with your name?
• 2:50
  I know for me it creates this strong personal directive to
• 2:55
  take hold of this authority of his truth in my life, and it it
• 3:00
  brings intimacy to know that God is my helper and I'm personally
• 3:04
  giving God attention by focusing on Him.
• 3:08
  And when I do, I won't get worked up with worry.
• 3:12
  So you might be more familiar with the NIV version, which says
• 3:17
  therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will
• 3:22
  worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of
• 3:26
  its own, so there's this great section that just surrounds this
• 3:32
  verse, right from verses 25 to 34 in chapter 6 of Matthew,
• 3:37
  where Jesus teaches us about worry and Jesus teaching us here
• 3:40
  to have an anxiety free existence of trusting in God for
• 3:45
  our provisions. And it gives us this powerful
• 3:47
  illustration of what it's like to live without worry by how God
• 3:52
  continuously feeds the birds and beautifully keeps the lilies of
• 3:57
  the field. And then he continues to assure
• 4:00
  us in verse 30 of chapter six that we have greater value to
• 4:06
  God than a blade of grass. And yet he cares for the grass.
• 4:10
  So how much more will he take care of his beloved children?
• 4:14
  That's us, you and me. And in verse 33, right before
• 4:19
  the verse 34 that we just personalized, Jesus says seek
• 4:23
  God's Kingdom 1st and His righteousness, meaning living in
• 4:27
  an upright relationship with Him and everything else we need will
• 4:32
  be provided. And I know sometimes we can
• 4:35
  often though, have a hard time differentiating between worrying
• 4:42
  and planning for our tomorrow. And this is how we know we are
• 4:46
  worrying when we are constantly thinking about it and it's
• 4:50
  interfering with our trust in God.
• 4:53
  When Jesus says don't worry, it means don't do it.
• 4:58
  Worry is not an option. Whenever God says don't and we
• 5:02
  do, it's called disobedience. And when we could say, well, I'm
• 5:06
  human, yes, we're human, but Jesus didn't pay the price for
• 5:10
  our sins. So we can go through this ebb
• 5:13
  and flow of worrying in life. That worry life will only lead
• 5:17
  us further from his plans and purpose for our lives.
• 5:22
  Because with worry it only gets worse and it often turns into
• 5:26
  fear as it lives long enough in US.
• 5:29
  And when we're looking at the second-half of this verse with
• 5:32
  today's trouble is enough for today, it's simply saying, hey,
• 5:38
  we'll have opposition and testing in our lives.
• 5:41
  Trouble is coming. But the good news is that we
• 5:43
  have a manual God's word to help us know what to do when the
• 5:48
  opposition of worry comes. Here it is in Romans 10/7.
• 5:53
  It says faith comes from hearing and hearing the word of God.
• 5:57
  We build our faith, strengthen our faith through hearing the
• 6:02
  word of God to release our faith, we are to speak out God's
• 6:07
  word over our specific need, Jesus said in Mark 1123.
• 6:13
  Truly, truly, I tell you, if anyone says this mountain, go
• 6:17
  throw yourself into the sea and does not doubt in their heart,
• 6:21
  but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for
• 6:26
  them. Speaking the promises and faith
• 6:29
  over our lives gets us through insurmountable obstacles.
• 6:35
  Jesus is telling us there's power in our words as we speak
• 6:39
  out His word to our specific need.
• 6:42
  Hebrews 412 says God's Word is living and active.
• 6:46
  It has the power to transform our minds and hearts, Proverbs
• 6:50
  1821 says. The tongue has the power of life
• 6:54
  and death. Now, when I began to declare
• 6:57
  God's word over my need, I began to see a shift, an absolute
• 7:03
  miracle of things happening in my life.
• 7:06
  And what we speak takes shape in our lives.
• 7:09
  It may seem a little odd or a bit uncomfortable to start
• 7:13
  vocalizing God's word over your situation, but I really believe
• 7:18
  that the enemy wants us to feel that way because the enemy can't
• 7:22
  read our thoughts, but he can see our actions and hear what we
• 7:27
  say out loud. The enemy knows his time is
• 7:31
  coming to an end and when we speak God's word we are
• 7:35
  resisting the enemy and he has to flee according to God's word.
• 7:41
  So if we are worried about finances, we say out loud Jesus,
• 7:45
  You said that you will supply all my needs in Jesus name.
• 7:49
  If we are worried about our children, we could say God in
• 7:53
  your word. It says you are a rock and
• 7:55
  shield. Thank you for protecting them
• 7:57
  and surrounding them with your love, power and a peaceful mind.

  Whatever it is, speak God's word over your specific need as it
• 8:07
  releases your faith to begin seeing it as if it were there.
• 8:12
  This helped me so much to see for what I was believing.
• 8:17
  Believing for to become a reality in my life and speaking
• 8:21
  out God's Word to our situation is making our situation
• 8:26
  compliant with what the Word of God says.
• 8:30
  When we speak His Word, it becomes personal to us.
• 8:34
  We tap into the power and the authority that God's Word holds.
• 8:39
  We see in Isaiah 5511 that His Word will prosper, be fruitful,
• 8:44
  and will never return void. So when every situation arises
• 8:49
  where worry starts knocking at the door, remember that by
• 8:53
  quoting Scripture, we can shift our perspective to see what God
• 8:57
  sees. We can live worry free, but it's
• 9:00
  going to take our part to inject his word into our specific
• 9:05
  situation. If we all did this, I truly
• 9:10
  believe we'd live so differently we'd stop lamenting over how
• 9:13
  things are and start speaking as conquerors in Christ.
• 9:18
  Romans 10/8 says the word is near you.
• 9:21
  It's in our mouth and hearts. So let's give all our worries,
• 9:27
  all our worries and inject God's truth by vocalizing what He's
• 9:32
  already done for us. And in the Serenity Journal, I
• 9:35
  have the words to speak over you and places to process your
• 9:39
  thoughts on trusting a God and surrendering areas of your life
• 9:43
  to his care. So I would just love to conclude
• 9:46
  right now. Will you just join me right now?

  I want to lift you up and speak life in your heart as we

  conclude. Heavenly Father, I just thank
• 9:55
  you so much for each woman that is listening.

  Lord, you know exactly where they're at what their needs are.

  Lord made this just just put a stamp on their heart.

  Lord, to remember to speak out your truth over the their
• 10:11
  specific need in their life. Lord and just thank you that we
• 10:15
  have your promises. We have your word to combat
• 10:20
  worries of life, Lord, to to resist the the enemy that comes
• 10:26
  at us Lord, with fear and anxiety.
• 10:29
  And so I just thank you and proclaim your your word over
• 10:34
  each and every woman here listening.
• 10:36
  Lord, bless their life, guard their mind and hearts with your
• 10:40
  truthful Lord. And we just thank you and praise
• 10:43
  you for your faithfulness in Jesus name.
