- 0:41Speaker 3: Right, it was wrong in telling you that Florida's going to win the money line.
- 0:47Speaker 3: They outgained Utah, but, man, they just did not look good and we're handled pretty easily.
- 0:55Speaker 3: 24-11 was the final.
- 0:57Speaker 3: We'll talk about that game.

- 1:23Speaker 3: Let's get started.
- 1:29Speaker 3: What's up, man?
- 1:39Speaker 3: What's going on, Jimmy Reno?
- 1:44Speaker 1: 44 passes to Tilt.
- 1:46Speaker 3: I know, yeah, that's 44 passes for the Gators.
- 1:52Speaker 3: I don't know what the hell Run the damn ball that's what Gator fans are thinking.
- 1:58Speaker 4: All we heard, man, was the strength of that running game.
- 2:01Speaker 4: It was going to be the offensive identity Right Montreal.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Johnson got three carries.
- 2:11Speaker 3: That can't happen.
- 2:12Speaker 3: That can't happen.
- 2:14Speaker 3: How can you fall in love with a guy like Graham?
- 2:17Speaker 4: Mertz, maybe he got banged up, yeah man.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Come on 44 QB rating of 30.4 for Graham Mertz on the evening.
- 2:26Speaker 3: Looks like he's been all downhill ever since his first debut at first game at Wisconsin.
- 2:31Speaker 3: But Utah with the win they came out first play of the game.
- 2:36Speaker 3: They're off inside big touchdown pass and Florida just could not get the ball in the end zone when they got in the red zone.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Between the 20s they moved the ball fairly well, man.
- 2:52Speaker 4: There were some plays where they had some wide open guys ate up some chunk yards, but then stalled out.
- 3:00Speaker 3: And Utah was without eight starters.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Yeah, without eight starters.
- 3:05Speaker 3: That's why I picked Florida.
- 3:07Speaker 3: But man Florida looked out of sync, slow and that's the first game on the road Ranked team.
- 3:15Speaker 3: It's a tough game but like you saw that it wasn't there, he hit Pierceall.
- 3:22Speaker 3: They were off.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Communication Tip pass leads to an interception and then gosh, the biggest was that penalty.
- 3:32Speaker 3: We're having two guys with the same number on the field.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that but they're about to punt it.
- 3:39Speaker 4: That can't happen.
- 3:39Speaker 4: No, you got two offensive line coaches and no special teams coach.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I've been hearing about all these dad gum coaches down there and who's coaching special teams?
- 3:50Speaker 4: I believe they have an analyst type of guy that runs it.
- 3:54Speaker 4: I don't know, man, that kind of stuff, if I was a Florida fan, would piss me off a lot more than the play-by and sloppy and things like that Game one a lot of new starters, a lot of new players getting meaningful snaps, but coaches looked unprepared, right, right.
- 4:15Speaker 4: So what the hell you been doing?
- 4:17Speaker 3: I don't know, man, I don't know.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Just give me that picture of Napier walking around Utah before the game alone.
- 4:22Speaker 3: I don't know, maybe he knew what was coming, I don't know.
- 4:25Speaker 3: But like you said, they moved the ball.
- 4:27Speaker 3: They just weren't able to get the big plays when they needed them.
- 4:30Speaker 3: But you didn't, you got to run the dag on ball man, that's the strength of your team.
- 4:33Speaker 4: They're out of their run game, but it definitely felt.
- 4:36Speaker 4: I mean, the stats don't lie.
- 4:38Speaker 4: They abandoned the run game pretty early, right, which seems like a panic move.
- 4:42Speaker 4: I mean, utah only scored 24 points, right.
- 4:47Speaker 3: It was 17, to three at half.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yeah, but they scored in the first play but after that they didn't really do much.
- 4:54Speaker 3: They had second.
- 4:54Speaker 3: I mean, then they kind of floored to allow them to get that lead higher.
- 4:59Speaker 3: By making stupid penalties and then missing a kick, they kind of got themselves behind the eight ball.
- 5:07Speaker 4: And then started throwing.
- 5:09Speaker 4: They just kept throwing.
- 5:10Speaker 4: They abandoned the run game.
- 5:11Speaker 4: They abandoned the run game, didn't have confidence in it, for whatever reason, I don't know it was.
- 5:16Speaker 4: It was confusing.
- 5:17Speaker 4: I didn't.
- 5:17Speaker 4: I didn't think the game was going to go like that.
- 5:19Speaker 4: I thought there would be more scoring.
- 5:21Speaker 4: I also thought rising was going to play, but yeah rising did not play, but it didn't, cootie didn't play.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Cootie didn't play either.
- 5:30Speaker 4: The tight end yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 3: They were without eight starters for the game.
- 5:34Speaker 3: And man I'll tell you what man.
- 5:35Speaker 3: That just shows you what kind of program.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Oh crazy man Gosh you see how good this year.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Willingham and he, he looks like a diagram psychopath in a good way, I guess he definitely got the mountain man looked, yeah he does and they're just not.
- 5:52Speaker 3: They don't get a lot of respect.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Two time pack 12 champion.
- 5:55Speaker 3: They're looking like they could make a run of the playoff.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean they, you know.
- 6:02Speaker 3: They beat USC twice last year.
- 6:04Speaker 4: Right, right and honestly, man, outside of that one long play, you know they didn't do a ton offensively.
- 6:11Speaker 4: That was super impressive.
- 6:13Speaker 4: Nate Johnson, that the freshman quarterback, I mean he was as dynamic as a player they got Outside of that, though I mean.
- 6:21Speaker 3: Yeah, the sacks, five sacks.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Yeah, that defense is something yeah.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Montrell Johnson.
- 6:26Speaker 3: But what do you do in Florida?
- 6:28Speaker 3: Why are you just giving the ball to Johnson three times and Trevor ETN only had seven carries for 25 yards?
- 6:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, that's your one-two punch and they get the ball 10 times out of the backfield.
- 6:42Speaker 4: You know, the three times they threw to Montrell Johnson were pretty productive.
- 6:46Speaker 4: They stopped doing that as well.
- 6:48Speaker 4: I just don't know, man.
- 6:51Speaker 4: It was confusing.
- 6:52Speaker 4: They were clearly having issues protecting Mertz when it.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Yeah, so that's to keep throwing the ball Right.
- 6:59Speaker 3: A lot of it is.
- 7:00Speaker 3: I mean, if you look at his stat line, he's 31 to 44, 333 yards, a touchdown and a pick, but a lot of that's between the 20s, without impact plays.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Wasn't a lot of downfield throws.
- 7:12Speaker 4: The touchdown pass was nice, you know.
- 7:17Speaker 4: It was a nice ball that the receiver went up.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Caleb Douglas made a really nice grab.
- 7:22Speaker 4: But that was it, man.
- 7:24Speaker 4: That was the lone highlight, really.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Yeah, you gotta lick your wounds.
- 7:31Speaker 4: It doesn't get any easier.
- 7:32Speaker 3: No, it doesn't.
- 7:32Speaker 3: No, it doesn't.
- 7:33Speaker 3: It's what do you?
- 7:36Speaker 3: Was there anything other to get excited about if you're a Florida fan?
- 7:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, you know, okay, Eugene Wilson's speed is for real.
- 7:46Speaker 3: The freshman.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Yeah, that kind of stuff will get cleaned up, presumably as the season goes on.
- 7:52Speaker 4: They won't have that kind of, you know, boneheaded miscommunication.
- 7:56Speaker 4: You know the running game.
- 7:58Speaker 4: I still think the running game is gonna be really good.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Man, Like they still not, like they don't have good backs.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Right, there's gonna be games like this this year, though I really Jason Odom's kid.
- 8:09Speaker 4: The tight end, I mean he looks like a weapon.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Right, he's not what they had in what's the guy's name, Kyle Pitts a couple of years ago, but he definitely looks like a weapon from the tight end spot, but defensively they I don't know man, they looked like yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Got to clean it up.
- 8:26Speaker 4: I kind of agree with Herb Street they look a little bit slow.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what he had mentioned.
- 8:30Speaker 3: They look big and a little slow.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Looks like they got bigger.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Shamar James at the linebacker spot is good.
- 8:35Speaker 4: He's one of those, one of those throwback Florida linebacker and looking guys man, he can run, he can hit.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Nothing about that game last night changed what my prediction on there went total this season.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Well, I'm not feeling good about anything.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I'm pegged in.
- 8:57Speaker 3: I thought that they were going to come out and they just didn't.
- 9:03Speaker 3: And then, when it was money time, they just they folded.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Yeah, penalties all starts and that summed it up, but that fourth down in the punt, having the two guys the same number, utah was in the end zone two minutes later.
- 9:16Speaker 3: I mean, that's your ballgame right there.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Yeah, and I mean it is probably a little bit of overreacting, but again they got a really well, that's what they got.
- 9:26Speaker 3: a brutal schedule they do and you got to start looking at it down the road.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Really looks.
- 9:31Speaker 3: You know that was Richardson's game of his life last year that he pulled off and they missed him because a lot of those plays against Utah last year were.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to be honest with you, man, like I don't know if I mean yeah, I think probably all those sacks that Utah got last night you know most of them are plays that Richardson extends.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Right.
- 9:55Speaker 4: And maybe something positive happens.
- 9:56Speaker 4: Maybe not.
- 9:57Speaker 3: Well, yeah.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Clear difference there at the QB spot.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Some work to do in Gainesville.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Well, I know, yeah, yeah, that doesn't fire you up.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I know what.
- 10:22Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah the big game in Orlando, the game of the weekend.
- 10:37Speaker 2: The only game that really.
- 10:41Speaker 3: LSU FSU.
- 10:45Speaker 3: A battle of two top 10 teams with playoff aspirations, with Heisman hopefuls.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Oh man, whoo Gosh.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Man, that doesn't fire you up, doesn't it?
- 11:03Speaker 3: I mean that, that's just.
- 11:05Speaker 3: I know you're nervous about this game.
- 11:07Speaker 3: Brian Kelly has come out.
- 11:10Speaker 4: He's not nervous.
- 11:11Speaker 3: No, he's not.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Brian Kelly has come out and said he's going to, they're going to whoop Florida State, pretty much right.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Yeah, you're going to beat the heck out of us.
- 11:19Speaker 3: Yeah, and Florida State feels good too.
- 11:21Speaker 3: I know it is going to be an old school matchup.
- 11:28Speaker 3: Both teams are fired up, both teams think that they can win.
- 11:33Speaker 3: I'm nervous about it as, being as a fan, it's just very it's.
- 11:39Speaker 3: It feels good to have being one of these big games again.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Yeah it, you know, as a fan, yeah, yeah, Not as take your just you know, national football fan kind of perspective.
- 11:52Speaker 4: Just it's a really, really big game.
- 11:55Speaker 3: It really is.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Personally I hate it, but it's oh yeah, yeah, I get it.
- 12:01Speaker 3: I get it, but it's here and we're going to talk about it.
- 12:04Speaker 3: We're going to talk about the matchups.
- 12:07Speaker 3: What's going to play out, how?
- 12:10Speaker 3: How can FSU come away with this victory?
- 12:13Speaker 3: What's going to prevent them from getting the W?
- 12:17Speaker 3: We'll see.
- 12:19Speaker 4: I think it comes down to one thing.
- 12:21Speaker 3: What's that?
- 12:22Speaker 4: Can you pass block?
- 12:23Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 12:26Speaker 1: That's simple.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's going to be.
- 12:30Speaker 3: You saw it last year.
- 12:31Speaker 3: I think it's the same thing.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Can you get Jordan Travis to turn the ball over?
- 12:35Speaker 3: If he turns the ball over, that's the only way you can beat it for the state.
- 12:39Speaker 3: When he doesn't, you couldn't really beat him last year and they, I think, improve the talent around him this season If he, if he's able to improve himself, we'll see.
- 12:52Speaker 3: But LSU as well.
- 12:54Speaker 3: If you look at they look.
- 12:57Speaker 3: If you look at the first three quarters of that game on offense last year, they did not look good at all.
- 13:02Speaker 4: No, they didn't.
- 13:02Speaker 4: They looked at a sink.
- 13:04Speaker 3: So they got better all year long.
- 13:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and they've.
- 13:07Speaker 4: You know they replaced a few of those guys that looked at a sink, especially at the wide receiver spot.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:15Speaker 4: We'll see.
- 13:15Speaker 4: I you know, the strength of the offense of both teams is kind of identical.
- 13:21Speaker 4: You know the wide receiver room, the ability of the quarterback to extend plays through the ball downfield.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 13:28Speaker 3: So which wide receiver quarterback duo will be able to get theirs and get their food and eat more, and the game will pretty much decide it.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's man, I mean I, you.
- 13:46Speaker 4: I'd really like to be playing this game at the end of the season.
- 13:50Speaker 3: As you know, it could happen, yeah, but it's your first game of the year.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Last year it was the second game of the season for Florida State.
- 13:58Speaker 3: They had a tune up game, so that that we'll see, you know, there's, there's, there's something to be said about that being the first game.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely.
- 14:08Speaker 4: So the good news is, man is like we said even you can.
- 14:13Speaker 4: You can hypothetically get blown out here.
- 14:17Speaker 4: If you're either team and still have the rest of your season, you know to dictate what's going to happen.
- 14:22Speaker 4: But I don't see either team really getting blown out in this one.
- 14:28Speaker 3: I don't either.
- 14:29Speaker 3: I don't either.
- 14:30Speaker 3: I mean I see both fan bases thinking they can, which is great.
- 14:34Speaker 3: I mean you have both teams that are pretty similar in our lifetimes in terms of what they've done in the college football landscape.
- 14:40Speaker 3: If you were watching the game last night when they were previewing they showed they put up the graphic through both team, both schools, three national championships since 1990.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Yeah and either fan bases is short on the cocky dismiss.
- 14:52Speaker 4: No, they're going to, you know that's just kind of how they roll.
- 14:54Speaker 4: They think they're going to blow people out both sides.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Right, right, I don't, yeah, I don't see either team getting blown out.
- 15:05Speaker 3: This is going to be it's going to be a slug fest it really is, and who's going to be able to not turn the ball over?
- 15:13Speaker 3: And you've got to protect Jordan Travis and sometimes be able to get down maybe and take a sack or throw the ball away.
- 15:22Speaker 3: You don't have to.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Who's going to try to do too much might decide this one.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I mean it.
- 15:30Speaker 4: You know, for me it's just protection both sides.
- 15:34Speaker 4: You know, it's what it always really comes down there's enough weapons now for Florida State on offense yeah.
- 15:40Speaker 4: If you pass blocks, somebody's going to be open.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 15:43Speaker 3: So the yeah you have to try to.
- 15:45Speaker 3: What are they going to do with Harold Perkins?
- 15:47Speaker 3: That's the big question Everybody think.
- 15:49Speaker 3: What do you think they're going to spy Jordan Travis?
- 15:51Speaker 3: And then I mean how would you counter that if they were to use Perkins?
- 15:56Speaker 4: to spy Travis, you got to do your best to identify it pre snap.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:01Speaker 4: To be able to get him to tip his hand to what he's going to do and play off that.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I don't think they're going to ask him to do one thing throughout the game.
- 16:09Speaker 4: It's going to be a, you know, they're going to put a lot on his plate and you just kind of, I mean you got to got to play that, that, uh, that poker game man right To tip his hand.
- 16:19Speaker 3: And because I think that's where you go, to your new tight ends.
- 16:23Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:24Speaker 3: And you show off that and make if you're going to spy.
- 16:26Speaker 3: And our guy we're going to use the middle of the field all day long.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Without question.
- 16:31Speaker 4: If you're going to, if you're going to use him to spy Jordan Travis, then you're going to have to.
- 16:36Speaker 4: You know, you put the, you put your tight ends right where where Perkins would be Right, you roll them out and then you just slide that tight in right there.
- 16:43Speaker 4: I mean all again, just dictate or try to dictate or or identify rather what he's going to do pre snap.
- 16:52Speaker 4: That's your best, that's your best bet, and sometimes it's going to be, you know, you're just going to have to assume that he's not going to tip his hand and you're going to have to hope nothing bad happened.
- 17:03Speaker 4: And it's, yeah, chest chest match.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Yeah, it is.
- 17:08Speaker 3: It's going to be a chest match, I think.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Man, I really don't know what to think.
- 17:14Speaker 3: I think it's going to be a close game.
- 17:15Speaker 3: I think FSU I got FSU with the win in this.
- 17:19Speaker 3: That's who I picked.
- 17:20Speaker 3: I think that they've improved at key positions and they're going to come out and get a lead, I predict, in this game and hold on similar to last season and hold on at the end.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it, it, you know.
- 17:36Speaker 4: Higher scoring game, though I believe they've improved the roster from last year?
- 17:41Speaker 4: Yeah, I believe, without question.
- 17:44Speaker 3: It's going to be hard to stop both offenses.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Yeah and I, there's just.
- 17:47Speaker 4: there's some, there's some there's some, there's some, there's some.
- 17:49Speaker 4: There's some things.
- 17:50Speaker 4: I want to see on both sides of the ball some new pieces and see how, how quickly they're going to be effective.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Most mostly from the transfers Fisk up front.
- 17:59Speaker 4: I want to see if that's it's really going to have an impact.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it's, you know.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Love it, love it.
- 18:07Speaker 3: We'll be playing.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Yeah, love it, love.
- 18:09Speaker 4: It's expected to be back.
- 18:10Speaker 4: They're going to.
- 18:11Speaker 4: You know they're going to be putting Briggs in there.
- 18:13Speaker 4: It would be nice to have Darrell Jackson, but you didn't have him last year.
- 18:17Speaker 4: I mean it's, I don't know, game one.
- 18:21Speaker 4: It's tough to tell man it is with so many new pieces.
- 18:24Speaker 4: The only thing that is concerning is, you know that the youth in the secondary right for both teams, yeah, for both teams.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Um, you know, I just I hope that our defensive ends are bringing at this game.
- 18:40Speaker 4: You know, I hope that verse the, you know, if he wants to have this be his career game, like, that's fine with me, oh, yeah you gotta put pressure on daniel.
- 18:49Speaker 3: She can't let him sit back there.
- 18:51Speaker 3: Yeah because there's no chance that either secondary is going to be able to stop a quarterback if they're allowed, you know and who's going to be able to when the play breaks down, make the play make the tackle.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Yeah, who's going to talk about it?
- 19:05Speaker 3: We?
- 19:05Speaker 4: talked about it last season, when you know, when they were playing Daniels and when they played Louisville and Lee Cunningham like you just have to expect that he's going to get Chunk yards on the ground.
- 19:16Speaker 4: Just don't let it turn into a 60 yard touchdown.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Run right, make the tackle when you have the chance.
- 19:22Speaker 3: That's true.
- 19:23Speaker 3: He's going to get his.
- 19:24Speaker 3: Even they're gonna.
- 19:25Speaker 3: They're going to get.
- 19:26Speaker 3: They have good players.
- 19:27Speaker 3: You have to limit the damage.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Yeah, and they know how to get, get teams and man covers to where that the middle of the field opens up and he's.
- 19:33Speaker 4: You see, he's showing what he does.
- 19:35Speaker 4: He's perfectly fine running 18 yards and getting down.
- 19:38Speaker 4: You have to expect that to happen.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Don't let it extend into a huge gain, into the end zone or flip field position, anything like that.
- 19:47Speaker 4: Make tackles right.
- 19:49Speaker 4: That's, I think, florida.
- 19:51Speaker 3: State feels last year they left some points on the board.
- 19:53Speaker 3: I know lsu feels that they came out real sloppy.
- 19:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think there's going to be any of those excuses this year.
- 20:01Speaker 3: You have two Experienced quarterbacks.
- 20:04Speaker 3: You have two coaches that are been there before.
- 20:08Speaker 3: They're playing each other.
- 20:09Speaker 3: For what?
- 20:10Speaker 3: Daggum?
- 20:11Speaker 4: three or four straight years in a row, three years in a row.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Now We've opened up with kelly.
- 20:15Speaker 3: So We'll find out.
- 20:17Speaker 3: It's going to be a hell of a game.
- 20:19Speaker 3: Bulletin board material for the Seminoles.
- 20:22Speaker 4: Yeah, well, that just kind of his personality man.
- 20:26Speaker 4: It to me that's a brian kelly at noter dame kind of statement.
- 20:29Speaker 4: You know that that alumni eats that kind of stuff up.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, you know what are you, what are you expecting to say?
- 20:38Speaker 4: Yeah, lsu fans are.
- 20:39Speaker 4: They're not going to be impressed by words.
- 20:41Speaker 4: You're gonna have to win, man yeah.
- 20:43Speaker 4: So we'll see.
- 20:44Speaker 4: We'll see it's gonna be your.
- 20:45Speaker 4: It's gonna be a really good game.
- 20:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:48Speaker 4: Um, like I said I, I think lsu is going to be a team that's around in the end in the in the college football playoff.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Right.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Either way, it's just the first game of the season.
- 20:59Speaker 3: You want to see a good performance.
- 21:01Speaker 3: I hate to say that, but you don't want to get whooped?
- 21:04Speaker 3: No, and I don't think either team will be.
- 21:06Speaker 3: There's too much fight on on fsu.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Even if they were to get down, I think they're going to show signs of life.
- 21:12Speaker 3: I'd look.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Look, if florida state wins this game, who's the player of the game for you?
- 21:21Speaker 4: if florida state wins the game, yeah.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Obviously jordan travis probably.
- 21:25Speaker 3: I mean who's a guy?
- 21:26Speaker 3: That step has a huge game.
- 21:28Speaker 3: That.
- 21:29Speaker 4: I got to look forward to to have a huge game.
- 21:32Speaker 4: If I'm gonna be honest with you, I'm gonna say uh jaheem bell.
- 21:37Speaker 3: I like it.
- 21:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that there's gonna have to be a lot of of safety valve type plays and I think he's a guy that that you know, working that middle of the field, working the slot.
- 21:47Speaker 4: That's a guy that it's gonna kind of come down to.
- 21:49Speaker 4: But yeah, I mean, I you know jordan travis is the.
- 21:53Speaker 4: He's the safe pick.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Yeah, he is a safe pick, but I am going to Put destin hill out there for me.
- 22:01Speaker 3: I think this is his coming out party.
- 22:03Speaker 3: He's playing against his home state.
- 22:05Speaker 3: He's been off for two years.
- 22:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean he's, I'm gonna put him in a spot where you have, he's gonna get some real chances.
- 22:12Speaker 4: You're gonna have chances because you have.
- 22:14Speaker 3: Coleman, you have Wilson.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Wilson on the outside you have jaheem bell, a tight end you have, and you could stick him out there and boom.
- 22:25Speaker 3: So he can hit it real quick, similar to what poke Wilson did last year.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's.
- 22:33Speaker 4: You know they held a, they held a spot for him for two, two years for a reason, and it's not to just sit on the sidelines, man.
- 22:41Speaker 4: They know this kid can play.
- 22:43Speaker 4: I, you know, I agree with you, man.
- 22:45Speaker 4: I think he's gonna get some serious chances in this game, man, it's gonna be awesome and it's gonna be Primetime Sunday night.
- 22:54Speaker 3: The only game on well, there's only the only game on tonight really is Miami, miami and Miami.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Miami, All right you know there's not really a Miami man.
- 23:05Speaker 3: I did it's.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Uh, you're up there and yeah, it's Oxford.
- 23:08Speaker 4: I've actually spent quite a bit of time there.
- 23:10Speaker 4: It's a very nice little town during the uh, the warm season, spring and summer, um, cradle of coaches.
- 23:18Speaker 4: Man, that's.
- 23:19Speaker 4: That's some old school football down there.
- 23:21Speaker 4: The guys that they go there to play football, they got a screw loose.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Well, we're gonna talk about that game Real quick here with Justin, our Miami contributor.
- 23:32Speaker 4: I would hate to have to open up with them, but I I don't think Miami's gonna lose that game Miami.
- 23:37Speaker 3: So you think Miami covers 16 and a half.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I think the canes will cover.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I do too.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Um, but let's hey, it's, it's, they're gonna have to.
- 23:44Speaker 4: They're gonna have to fight for it, though.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Yeah, well, we're gonna take, we're gonna pat, we're gonna take a little break and we'll come back with the Miami versus Miami preview and we'll be right back after that.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Well, it's Miami versus Miami to see where the real Miami is.
- 24:11Speaker 3: And we got our Miami contributor, justin, with us.
- 24:16Speaker 3: It's not basketball season quite yet, but Nigel Paxton looking good in camp.
- 24:23Speaker 3: We'll get there.
- 24:24Speaker 3: I'm sure you'll.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Hopefully you'll be waiting for that sooner than later.
- 24:28Speaker 3: But uh, miami takes the field tonight in the opener against Miami of Ohio.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Uh, with a real Miami stand up.
- 24:35Speaker 3: Um, we'll find out.
- 24:38Speaker 3: The quarterback for Miami, brett Gabbard, brother of Blaine Gabbard, is saying, is saying that the real Miami is in Ohio, oxford, ohio.
- 24:52Speaker 2: The real Miami's in Oxford Ohio, not Miami of Ohio, Got it.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Yep, um sorry, this wraps out Miami.
- 25:01Speaker 3: If they didn't need motivation, which they probably might have they.
- 25:05Speaker 3: It's a big.
- 25:06Speaker 3: This is a big season for Mario Cristobal.
- 25:08Speaker 3: How do you see this game?
- 25:14Speaker 2: I'm kind of nervous because of what the Cane's going to do last year, so I am a little nervous.
- 25:20Speaker 2: We got the game at home, but since Miami fans are Miami fans a Friday night game against a Mac team from Ohio I don't know that the crowd's going to show up.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Yeah, well, yeah, I could tell you that they're probably not.
- 25:36Speaker 3: I mean, it's Miami.
- 25:38Speaker 3: They usually don't.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Yeah, no, unless it's a big game, unless it's.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Florida State or a big game, rivalry game, but the players have to be fired up.
- 25:47Speaker 3: This is a chance.
- 25:48Speaker 3: I know they have some good guys on defense, so I would not have chose those words.
- 25:54Speaker 3: You're already a 16 and a half point dog.
- 25:56Speaker 3: I think Miami comes out, throws a, beat down Shannon Dawson's offense.
- 26:03Speaker 3: I think it works well with TVD and the fact that it's up pace, not a lot of thinking, not to say that TVD is a thinking, not a thinking man, but I think he plays better in up tempo, just kind of like draw it up, go, go, go.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Yeah, it's almost got like a little Brit farve in him.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Yeah, well, this will be similar to Lashley's offense.
- 26:26Speaker 3: So I know Miami fans miss Lashley.
- 26:28Speaker 3: And then you have a new.
- 26:31Speaker 3: There's a new decoordinator too, so a lot, a lot to look forward to for Miami fans.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's, it's.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Hello, he's speechless.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Are you there?
- 26:50Speaker 3: Well, we lost Justin.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I hit the mute button with my cheek, my back.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Well, there it is.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't, I'm sure you missed my brilliant analysis.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sure it was probably the smartest thing you've ever said.
- 27:08Speaker 2: Smartest thing anybody's ever said in the history of mankind, man Play-doh.
- 27:12Speaker 3: Yeah right, Play-doh.
- 27:14Speaker 3: What were you trying to say, man?
- 27:18Speaker 2: Oh, what I was saying is that, like, like, as you were saying, with the new, with the new coordinators, I'm going to be more interested in watching how the systems are implemented and how we're using certain players in these systems, more so than the actual outcome of the game, because with as bad as we were last year, like I really need to see something more than just like putting up points.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Right.
- 27:47Speaker 2: You know, I want to see how, like how the offensive line is playing.
- 27:49Speaker 2: I want to see you know different schemes on defense.
- 27:52Speaker 2: I want to see you scheming it up with TVD, getting Restrepo open and maybe getting some of the young guys out there, and more so than the outcome of the game, because I mean, like when we went through the picks for the season earlier, you know, I mean I don't have high expectations for the Canes.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I got a winning record, but I'm going to be that early guy.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't mess around.
- 28:14Speaker 3: You got to take care of business.
- 28:15Speaker 3: I think they do.
- 28:17Speaker 3: I think they come out.
- 28:19Speaker 3: They can't.
- 28:20Speaker 3: They're not going to underestimate this team based on what they did last year.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Middle Tennessee State came in there and smoked them, so they got to be ready.
- 28:30Speaker 3: They have.
- 28:31Speaker 3: I mean Brett Gabbard helped them by putting it bulletin board material up for him.
- 28:35Speaker 3: He's an experienced player.
- 28:37Speaker 3: He's his fifth year player, so they better be ready.
- 28:42Speaker 2: And his brother was a hell of a quarterback in college and they've got that nice like wide open throw it around the yard type offense.
- 28:51Speaker 2: So our safeties, who are getting all the hype this year coming in Cam, Kinshawns and Williams they're going to be put to the test early in this game tonight because they're going to run five wide receivers out there and really pressure the secondary all night long.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Well, I would say that they have you know.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I know you're nervous, you're nervous.
- 29:20Speaker 2: I am dude, I am.
- 29:23Speaker 3: What do you think Miami wins tonight?
- 29:26Speaker 2: I can't say otherwise.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I got us think that that the Keynes pull it off at home against a Mac.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Did they?
- 29:32Speaker 2: cover?
- 29:33Speaker 2: I don't think they cover 16 and a half.
- 29:36Speaker 2: I think it's going to be an alebiter man.
- 29:38Speaker 2: I think I'm going to be drinking way too many beers tonight due to stress.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Okay, well, hey, hang in there.
- 29:46Speaker 3: It's a long season, but I think you'll find out a lot tonight.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Just don't have a play what's changed.
- 29:54Speaker 3: You want to see progress.
- 29:55Speaker 3: You want to see differences, a different way to play.
- 29:59Speaker 3: You'll have to see something, yeah.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I don't want to see a third and eight.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I don't want to see a third and eight run up the middle.
- 30:06Speaker 3: All right.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Well, like we saw all year last year, yeah.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Well, it's on tonight and we'll talk to you next week.
- 30:14Speaker 3: React to it.
- 30:15Speaker 3: How's that sound?
- 30:17Speaker 2: Oh, you know, I'll have opinions.
- 30:18Speaker 3: All right man.
- 30:19Speaker 3: All right man.
- 30:20Speaker 3: Good luck and enjoy the game.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Yes, sir, all right.
- 30:24Speaker 1: We had to go.
- 30:30Speaker 3: Well, we gotta get on out of here.
- 30:31Speaker 3: I'd like to thank Justin coming on.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Thank you, Jimmy.
- 30:36Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 30:38Speaker 3: It's here, man.
- 30:38Speaker 3: I can't wait.
- 30:42Speaker 3: Can't wait, man.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Can't wait.
- 30:44Speaker 3: He's nervous about the Keynes man.
- 30:46Speaker 3: He's nervous about him, yeah.
- 30:48Speaker 4: He should be.
- 30:48Speaker 4: I mean, you know, in.
- 30:51Speaker 3: Red.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Hawks In Red Hawks.
- 30:53Speaker 1: We're coming down there.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Is it really Blank Ambridge's little?
- 30:55Speaker 3: brother it is.
- 30:56Speaker 3: He's talking trash.
- 30:57Speaker 3: He's got over 6,000 rear passing yards in his fifth year, so I don't think it's a good idea to do that.
- 31:05Speaker 3: But we'll find out tonight.
- 31:07Speaker 3: But the big game is Sunday night.
- 31:11Speaker 3: I can't wait.
- 31:13Speaker 3: Who's winning, north Carolina or South Carolina, though?
- 31:16Speaker 1: Tonight.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Saturday night who's winning that game?
- 31:19Speaker 1: I got the Cox man, yeah, yeah.
- 31:22Speaker 3: I'm going to be a Duke, upsetting Clemson, that's right, I do.
- 31:25Speaker 1: But other than that that's great, you don't just walk into Wallace Wade Stadium with a new offensive coordinator, a new starting quarterback against a Mike Elko defense.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:39Speaker 3: That's it.
- 31:39Speaker 3: There's really no other good matchups.
- 31:42Speaker 3: I like the Boise State Washington game.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I mean Colorado TCU is going to be.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Colorado TCU will be.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Yeah, the eyes on that Coach Prime has for him.
- 31:54Speaker 1: They might be able to beat Nebraska this year.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Jeff Sims.
- 31:57Speaker 3: We saw it Jeff Sims looks terrible and Nebraska found a way to lose it.
- 32:00Speaker 3: They seem to find a way to lose every single close game they play in the last few years.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Jeff Sims, throw the ball, man.
- 32:07Speaker 3: I mean they threw the ball right to the guy in the end zone.
- 32:09Speaker 1: They did it at Georgia Tech.
- 32:10Speaker 1: I don't know why they're letting them do it there.
- 32:12Speaker 3: Minnesota was able to come up with the late win and keep the boat rowing for now.
- 32:20Speaker 1: That was another game, yeah it was a big 10 game.
- 32:23Speaker 1: It was a big 10 game.
- 32:24Speaker 3: It's an Iowa special.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's how you do it.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Yeah, oh man.
- 32:29Speaker 1: That's the kind of football that's worth like hundreds of millions of dollars.
- 32:35Speaker 3: Right?
- 32:35Speaker 3: Well, we'll see who wins all the games.
- 32:39Speaker 3: We're going to react to them all next week.
- 32:42Speaker 3: Enjoy all the games, be safe if you're traveling to the games, have fun out there and we'll talk to you next time.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Enjoy that Labor Day weekend.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Yeah, man, we'll talk to you next time right here on the North Florida Sports Network.
- 33:05Speaker 2: We had so much fun Our ride was here.
- 33:08Speaker 2: We got a shuttle A shuttle.
