all the rest of the bull—he must take outside the camp to a ceremonially clean place where the ashes are poured out, and there he must burn it on a wood fire on the ash heap. — Leviticus 4:12

Jesus became the cursed outcast so we could be brought near to God. His crucifixion outside the gate shows that all God's judgment on our sin fell completely on Him. Because He was rejected for us, our own suffering in His name carries a share of His glory that far outweighs any loss.
