- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show. Well, hey, we'll get to the
- 0:06Speaker 1: mayor oll race in just a second. Look, get to
- 0:09Speaker 1: ice tonight. Yankees game four tonight. It's a little early tonight.
- 0:16Speaker 1: It's gonna be a seven o'clock game Yankee Stadium, and
- 0:19Speaker 1: all this rain out there that's gonna go away. It'll
- 0:21Speaker 1: be dry tonight, so it should be good. We're hoping
- 0:24Speaker 1: it look very very bad for the Yankees. Aaron Judge,
- 0:28Speaker 1: that home run had turned it around. Let's see if
- 0:31Speaker 1: that momentum continues. Let's just listen to it one more time.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Yankees behind men on bass. Aaron Judge comes to bat.
- 0:43Speaker 2: It's a dry down one hoof experiences moments.
- 0:51Speaker 1: All right, a little more of that tonight and then
- 0:59Speaker 1: we're all set. The mayoral race. Well, actually a pretty
- 1:04Speaker 1: interesting morning because right down over there, two blocks that
- 1:09Speaker 1: way is the New York Athletic Club fifty ninth and seventh,
- 1:13Speaker 1: one of the most beautiful, maybe the most beautiful, and
- 1:16Speaker 1: maybe the best private club in New York City. It's
- 1:20Speaker 1: one hundred and something years old. But they have great
- 1:23Speaker 1: events there too, and today was the first event where
- 1:27Speaker 1: all three mayoral candidates were there. It was put on
- 1:30Speaker 1: by cranes, and they didn't debate. They weren't together, but
- 1:34Speaker 1: they each spoke separately. It's a crowd of top business people.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Mamdanni addressed the crowd, then Cuomo and then Kurtis Sliwa.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Mamdanni unveiled an economic plan, no point even going through it,
- 1:52Speaker 1: Mam Donni. Like most socialists, he's what they call used
- 1:55Speaker 1: to call them limousine liberals, but this is something different.
- 1:58Speaker 1: They call these champagnests a very wealthy guy. And what
- 2:04Speaker 1: they do is they kind of tone it down. Now
- 2:06Speaker 1: you got all the top business people in New York,
- 2:08Speaker 1: so he tones down the attacks the rich kind of stuff,
- 2:11Speaker 1: and he talks about affordability and his economic calculator, which
- 2:15Speaker 1: looks ridiculous. So he spoke. Curtis gets up and I
- 2:20Speaker 1: imagine talking mostly about crime, because crime's the key to everything.
- 2:25Speaker 1: You get rid of the crime, everything comes back, people, business, tourists, money, everything.
- 2:30Speaker 1: It just it's like that, what do you say, that
- 2:33Speaker 1: rising tide that lifts all the boats. Cuomo, I imagine
- 2:37Speaker 1: got up and talked very slowly like he always does.
- 2:44Speaker 1: So here's the other thing. People like Mom Donnie, these
- 2:51Speaker 1: Champagne socialists or these people on the left, or the
- 2:55Speaker 1: Bernie Sanders or the just all these people, even the shoots,
- 2:58Speaker 1: they're yelling, tax the rich, tax the rich, billionaires, tax
- 3:02Speaker 1: the rich. It's not about helping the poor. That's why
- 3:06Speaker 1: they never praise. They never put it that way. It's
- 3:08Speaker 1: not about helping the poor. It's about getting the rich,
- 3:11Speaker 1: taxing the rich. They have a hatred for billionaires, a
- 3:13Speaker 1: hatred for the rich deep down. It's like a real
- 3:16Speaker 1: it's that actual hatred because when they look at those
- 3:20Speaker 1: wealthy people that created these empires, it reminds them of
- 3:25Speaker 1: everything they don't like about America. You know, a lot
- 3:27Speaker 1: of these big zillionaire guys that created stuff, they're the
- 3:32Speaker 1: ultimate American story. Most of them started out with very little.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Many of them come from poverty. Many of them, you know,
- 3:40Speaker 1: started out with very little education. You know, there are
- 3:42Speaker 1: all these top guys, Step Jobs, Bill Gates, Bait, they're
- 3:45Speaker 1: all college dropouts. They all started the business in their
- 3:48Speaker 1: garage with nothing and turn it into unbelievable empires. They're
- 3:53Speaker 1: all worth a couple hundred billions. So this is the
- 3:55Speaker 1: ultimate American story. That's why they hate these people so much.
- 3:58Speaker 1: You'll never hear mention anyth about up in the port.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Just tax the rich, get their rich. They'll never go
- 4:04Speaker 1: to any details about anything, and when they do, they're
- 4:07Speaker 1: kind of silly, like free rent, free buses, and as
- 4:12Speaker 1: everybody keeps pointing out, Mom, Donnie would have absolutely no
- 4:15Speaker 1: authority to make the buses free or anything. The subways
- 4:18Speaker 1: or Cuomo has been running around. He's getting hit hard
- 4:22Speaker 1: by Curtis. Curtis running commercials all over the place about
- 4:26Speaker 1: how Cuomo caused the crime wave with his no bail,
- 4:28Speaker 1: no jail. So Cuomo is going on these shows trying
- 4:31Speaker 1: to defend it. I think this is a good day
- 4:34Speaker 1: in New York. His today he's trying to explain why
- 4:35Speaker 1: he did this no bail, no jail, cashless bail. Many
- 4:39Speaker 1: other states did it. The principle is very sound.
- 4:43Speaker 3: If you have not been found guilty of anything, you
- 4:46Speaker 3: shouldn't be put in prison, and you shouldn't be sent
- 4:49Speaker 3: to rikers just because you don't have the money to
- 4:52Speaker 3: make bail.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Well you probably should if you're a career criminal and
- 4:57Speaker 1: you got twenty three priors. As many other states did it. Yeah,
- 5:01Speaker 1: there were other states that did it. Every one of
- 5:03Speaker 1: them got a massive crime wave as a result. Anytime
- 5:07Speaker 1: you do it, you got a massive crime wave. And
- 5:09Speaker 1: Cuomo did it here and it caused this big crime wave.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Now Curtis got a big endorsement yesterday Rudy Giuliani. Now Giuliani,
- 5:19Speaker 1: of course, in recent years has a controversy attached to
- 5:22Speaker 1: him with some people, but forget about that. He is,
- 5:26Speaker 1: without question, the absolute world expert on how to run
- 5:32Speaker 1: New York City. There's no greater expert on earth on
- 5:35Speaker 1: how to be the mayor of New York City than
- 5:37Speaker 1: Rudy Giuliani. And he said yesterday he one hundred percent
- 5:41Speaker 1: endorses Curtis Sliwa. He said, Curtis has everything you need
- 5:45Speaker 1: to be Mary mayor. Curtis has everything he could expect.
- 5:50Speaker 1: He went after Cuomo. He said, Cuomo's a total disgrace.
- 5:54Speaker 1: He resigned in disgrace, and he pointed out Cuomo rent
- 5:58Speaker 1: has run a terrible campaign, lost to a thirty three
- 6:02Speaker 1: year old. It's actually, if you hate this, Mam Donnie,
- 6:04Speaker 1: blame Cuoma. Cuoma was so pathetic in those debates in
- 6:08Speaker 1: the primary. That's how Mam Donnie got from zero to
- 6:11Speaker 1: forty five points just by slapping Cuomo around. But Giuliani, big,
- 6:17Speaker 1: big endorsement for Curtis. You know. Also here's the Connecticut governor,
- 6:23Speaker 1: a Democrat, Lowell Wiker, who has really condemned Mom Donnie.
- 6:29Speaker 1: You know, you gotta remember Connecticut has all these suburbs
- 6:33Speaker 1: that are close to New York, and the Connecticut governor
- 6:36Speaker 1: warns that Wall Street is at risk. He really goes
- 6:39Speaker 1: after Mom Donnie and he said, you know, a guy
- 6:40Speaker 1: like Mam Donnie does not understand the importance of Wall Street.
- 6:44Speaker 1: New York City's the financial capital of the world. He
- 6:47Speaker 1: doesn't think, Mam Donnie for a second understands how vital
- 6:50Speaker 1: that is to the economy of New York to all
- 6:53Speaker 1: the things you claim you want to help. It can
- 6:55Speaker 1: only be helped by the revenue coming in from Wall Street.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And he points out that Walston Street can leave. You know,
- 7:01Speaker 1: Texas already has a huge stock exchange. Other states are
- 7:05Speaker 1: opening massive stock exchanges. You know, we think, well, New
- 7:08Speaker 1: York Stock Exchange and a Nasdaq one of them. But
- 7:10Speaker 1: they can't leave. Yeah, they can leave, They really can.
- 7:13Speaker 1: And that's what the Connecticut Governor, Ned Lamont, a Democrat,
- 7:17Speaker 1: is warning everybody about. He also points out the hedge
- 7:21Speaker 1: Fund industry is very important. And you know right there
- 7:23Speaker 1: in Greenwich, Connecticut, you got Ray Dallio. Bridgewater you got
- 7:28Speaker 1: Steve cohenser Point seventy two. And Greenwich, Connecticut, which is
- 7:32Speaker 1: the closest suburb and that's where a lot of these
- 7:34Speaker 1: Wall Street guys live. Greenwich has a mayor, Fred Camillo.
- 7:37Speaker 1: This guy's probably the best mayor of any suburban town around.
- 7:42Speaker 1: He's great, He's endorsed Curtis He's I've talked to him
- 7:45Speaker 1: about it. He very much backs Curtis Lee for mayor.
- 7:48Speaker 1: And one reason is he does want to lose. You know,
- 7:52Speaker 1: these big, big CEOs Wall Street. If they move to
- 7:55Speaker 1: another state, they leave their home too, which in a
- 7:59Speaker 1: lot of cases is great. And by the way, that
- 8:01Speaker 1: Fred Camillo excellent mayor. He's up for reelection. Make sure
- 8:04Speaker 1: you vote for him, you want to re elect him. Also,
- 8:09Speaker 1: Long Island, Bruce Blakeman, you got the best county executive.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Make sure you reelect him. In November. You got a
- 8:15Speaker 1: great district attorney in Long Island and Donnelly, make sure
- 8:20Speaker 1: you vote for her. Hey. Also, there's a big race
- 8:23Speaker 1: here in New York City in November. Besides mayor, it's
- 8:26Speaker 1: for district attorney. This Alvin Bragg, who lets all the
- 8:29Speaker 1: criminals out, is up for reelection. You can knock him
- 8:33Speaker 1: out of office in November. The opponent is Maud Merin.
- 8:38Speaker 1: She's excellent. She's a Republican and if you're a Democrat,
- 8:42Speaker 1: and he said, well, I can't vote for a public
- 8:44Speaker 1: but she's actually been a Democrat most of her life.
- 8:46Speaker 1: He really is kind of a Democrat. But she's tough
- 8:48Speaker 1: on crime. She'd be a much better district attorney than
- 8:52Speaker 1: Alvin Bragg. Well, anybody would, but she especially. So vote
- 8:55Speaker 1: for Maud Marin in November. But the mayor Old debate
- 9:00Speaker 1: is a week from tomorrow. It's next Thursday night. Curtis
- 9:04Speaker 1: has been running commercials all over the place, even in
- 9:07Speaker 1: the Yankee game last night, great commercial against Cuomo and
- 9:14Speaker 1: the whole thing. If it's gonna if there's gonna be
- 9:16Speaker 1: a big shift in the race, it'll come from next
- 9:19Speaker 1: Thursday Night's debate. Next Thursday. It'll be on Channel four,
- 9:23Speaker 1: but you'll see it all over the place. Cuomo is very,
- 9:26Speaker 1: very very weak in debates. Mam Donnie's a great debater.
- 9:29Speaker 1: He's very good in these debates. Whatever you think of
- 9:31Speaker 1: he can debate. Curtis is a professional debater for thirty
- 9:35Speaker 1: five years, so you're gonna have man Donnie and Curtis
- 9:38Speaker 1: two great debaters, and Cuomo talking very slow like he talks,
- 9:45Speaker 1: so he's probably gonna get wiped out in that debate.
- 9:47Speaker 1: He's gonna look very bad there. Hey, you remember that
- 9:51Speaker 1: Greta what her name, Greta Thunberg. That literally she was
- 9:55Speaker 1: like the fourteen year old lecturing us about climate change.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Awful person, a horrible, horrible person. So in the recent years,
- 10:04Speaker 1: the climate change thing kind of fizzled out. Now she's
- 10:08Speaker 1: anti Israel, really sounds very antisemitic at times, so she's
- 10:13Speaker 1: always going after Israel. She's you know, she's like the
- 10:16Speaker 1: kid in Two and a half Men, you know, cute
- 10:18Speaker 1: when they're twelve, and you look at her now she's
- 10:20Speaker 1: like twenty six, not so cute anymore, and she's going
- 10:24Speaker 1: after Israel. By she's showing a picture of a Palestinian
- 10:28Speaker 1: who looks totally emaciated. Look what they did to Look
- 10:31Speaker 1: what Israel did to this Palestinian. Look how he's starving
- 10:34Speaker 1: to death. Look how emaciated he is, a bones pushing
- 10:37Speaker 1: through his Look how awfully looks she's putting this picture
- 10:40Speaker 1: all over the place. Well, it turns out the picture
- 10:43Speaker 1: is of an Israeli hostage that was being held by
- 10:46Speaker 1: hamas a total liar. This s Creta Thunberg. Even the
- 10:51Speaker 1: left I think is kind of done with her. I
- 10:54Speaker 1: think they've had it with her. She's become kind of
- 10:56Speaker 1: useless to them. Hey, there's a great video. This is PBS. Now,
- 11:01Speaker 1: if you say, well, why do we have to defund PBS,
- 11:04Speaker 1: they were begging to be defunded. They've been asking to
- 11:08Speaker 1: be defunded, as Joe Peshi said in Casino, they were
- 11:11Speaker 1: just begging to be made an example of. So they've
- 11:15Speaker 1: been running the most left wing, slanted, biased news for decades.
- 11:21Speaker 1: It's PBS. You're supposed to stay neutral, you're supposed to
- 11:24Speaker 1: do balanced the news, but it's left wing partisan. Now,
- 11:27Speaker 1: he's a funny clip that it's up on my Twitter
- 11:30Speaker 1: if you want to see it. This is thirty five
- 11:32Speaker 1: years ago. It's a PBS news show and they're reporting
- 11:36Speaker 1: that because of climate change, we're going to be wiped out.
- 11:39Speaker 1: And they predicted that by twenty twenty five there would
- 11:44Speaker 1: be no forests left. We have no more forests anywhere
- 11:47Speaker 1: on the earth, and we'd all be underwater. In New
- 11:51Speaker 1: York and Florida, everything would be underwater. The sea level
- 11:53Speaker 1: would rise up and wipe us out by twenty twenty five.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Let me just check. Hang on, let me look out
- 12:00Speaker 1: the window. No, no water, No water out there in
- 12:04Speaker 1: fifty sixth Street. Let's check the other side. Could you
- 12:06Speaker 1: look out down there fifty fifth Street. Just check, make
- 12:09Speaker 1: sure there's no water. And you know, I was in
- 12:13Speaker 1: Connecticut the other day. I saw a forest. Apparently there
- 12:16Speaker 1: still are some forests left. So that PBS reporting all
- 12:20Speaker 1: kinds of crap, and that's why, that's why they get defunded.
- 12:26Speaker 1: Oh hey, that Hunter corruption stuff. The Biden family, the
- 12:30Speaker 1: corruption especially in the Ukraine. Hunter Biden, the brothers James,
- 12:35Speaker 1: So the CIA Biden went over there, supposedly as vice president,
- 12:41Speaker 1: supposedly to meet with leaders there to discuss issues. The
- 12:44Speaker 1: CIA report came, this is our intelligence agency CIA. There
- 12:49Speaker 1: was no meetings of anything of substance apparently was over there,
- 12:52Speaker 1: and the CIA said, this looks like total corruption. Hunter's
- 12:56Speaker 1: getting paid a fortune by this barisma the brothers are
- 12:59Speaker 1: getting There's all kinds of deals going on. They're doing
- 13:02Speaker 1: all kinds of corrupt things over there. And then a
- 13:05Speaker 1: word came from Vice President Biden to bury that report,
- 13:10Speaker 1: do not distribute that report, do not put it in
- 13:13Speaker 1: the briefing. Kill the report. They listened to them and
- 13:17Speaker 1: they did it. Now, if you look into this, there's
- 13:21Speaker 1: other stuff. We didn't even know about this. We have
- 13:22Speaker 1: an embassy, of course, over there in the Ukraine. Looks
- 13:25Speaker 1: like Hunter was trying to make some sleazy land deal
- 13:28Speaker 1: to sell off the land. The US embassy has a
- 13:31Speaker 1: lot of land around. Who's trying to sell the land
- 13:33Speaker 1: to some corrupt company. All kinds of stuff in there.
- 13:37Speaker 1: You're saying, I didn't hear about this, Yeah, it's because
- 13:39Speaker 1: you read the New York Times. It's because you watch MSNBC.
- 13:42Speaker 1: They're not reporting it, they're covering it up. Hey, speaking
- 13:45Speaker 1: of MSNBC, people think President Trump will make a lot
- 13:48Speaker 1: of money off them because they've been doing you know,
- 13:51Speaker 1: they're always doing these fake stories, fake news. The fake
- 13:56Speaker 1: news anchor Nicole Wallace, the South Carolina judge who's home
- 14:00Speaker 1: was on fire, burned up her home, was running the
- 14:04Speaker 1: story that it was arson, that the Trump administration did it.
- 14:07Speaker 1: It was a Trump administration saying things about her that
- 14:12Speaker 1: caused an arsonist to burn her home down, and well,
- 14:15Speaker 1: it turns out none of this is true. The police
- 14:17Speaker 1: said she had a faulty toaster that caught up fire.
- 14:20Speaker 1: There was no arson, but it was total fake news.
- 14:24Speaker 1: They're expecting now the Trump administration to go after them.
- 14:27Speaker 1: But Trump himself could be filing a massive lawsuit. He's
- 14:31Speaker 1: made a lot of money sixteen million from Stephanopolis and
- 14:35Speaker 1: ABC thirty million from sixty minutes. This could be another
- 14:39Speaker 1: major victory. A lot of money could be Remember MSNBC
- 14:44Speaker 1: no longer part of NBC. They've been thrown out. They
- 14:48Speaker 1: don't have a lot of money. You could actually bankrupt
- 14:50Speaker 1: this MSNBC. Now, hey, we'll take some calls. Next eight
- 14:54Speaker 1: hundred three to two one zero seven to ten is
- 14:58Speaker 1: the number, eight hundred two to one zero seven.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Ten more, mister New York on seven ten w r.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to blowveout in Florida, blowveout?
- 15:13Speaker 1: How you doing?
- 15:15Speaker 5: Mark some more and I'm okay, how you doing.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Buddy good? What's going on in Florida?
- 15:19Speaker 6: Listen a lot of well it's in the eighties. Still
- 15:23Speaker 6: no hurricane so that's keeping us alive. So it looks
- 15:27Speaker 6: pretty good on the horizon. That's on the horizon for
- 15:29Speaker 6: any kind of hurricanes. But the question I have for
- 15:32Speaker 6: you is the Trump exposed Powell, this guy chairman Powell,
- 15:38Speaker 6: the you know, the said pissing away taxlayer, taxpayer money
- 15:42Speaker 6: on this building, billions and billions of dollars. Is anybody
- 15:45Speaker 6: going to stop him for what he's doing?
- 15:46Speaker 7: Okay?
- 15:47Speaker 6: Correct if?
- 15:47Speaker 1: Mess Now this will end up in court. That's Jerome Powell,
- 15:51Speaker 1: the chairman sec chairman. He's just awful FED governor and
- 15:57Speaker 1: chairman of the FED. But and that FED governor what's
- 16:00Speaker 1: a name, Lisa Cook, totally corrupt, mortgage fraud. He's got
- 16:03Speaker 1: to throw her out. This will all be tangled up
- 16:06Speaker 1: in courts for a while. Powell leaves early next year anyway, And.
- 16:10Speaker 6: Oh okay, okay, we got to stop all the stunday though.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Now you're gonna be stuck with that. It's it's not
- 16:16Speaker 1: and again it's not just a FED. All these government buildings,
- 16:18Speaker 1: they overpay for everything. The FBI has a massive headquarters.
- 16:23Speaker 1: You remember Steve Moore was on a couple of weeks
- 16:25Speaker 1: ago and he said he lives in Washington said he's
- 16:27Speaker 1: been into these federal buildings. Ninety percent of them are empty.
- 16:30Speaker 1: They're just these massive buildings that are empty. They don't
- 16:34Speaker 1: even need them. They got one hundred people working there
- 16:36Speaker 1: and building that can hold three thousand people. Let's go
- 16:39Speaker 1: to Alan Yonkers Al, how you doing.
- 16:43Speaker 5: Hey good, Mark, thanks for taking my call. You know,
- 16:45Speaker 5: I wanted to say, not too long ago, you had
- 16:48Speaker 5: Greg Jared, the lawyer author on your on your radio broadcast,
- 16:53Speaker 5: and I just wanted to say, you know, I read
- 16:56Speaker 5: his book Trial of the Century with Clarence Darrow, and
- 17:00Speaker 5: that's three time presidential campaign presidential candidate William Jennings Bryan,
- 17:06Speaker 5: and I just wanted to say it was a great read.
- 17:07Speaker 5: And if you didn't read it, I hope you pick
- 17:09Speaker 5: it up.
- 17:10Speaker 1: No, I have it. I have it. It's one of
- 17:11Speaker 1: the greatest books ever written on any If you love
- 17:14Speaker 1: legal books, the Trial of the Century, get it. It's
- 17:17Speaker 1: Greg Jared's book. Let's go to Roger in Astoria. Roger,
- 17:21Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 17:24Speaker 3: Yeah good? How are you doing good? So I would
- 17:29Speaker 3: love to hear Curtis come under the following.
- 17:36Speaker 1: It talks slower than Cuomo, Joe Biden talks faster than you.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Speed it up a little, Okay, it's the truth. So
- 17:43Speaker 3: with this cashalt bail, I'd love to see Curtis say,
- 17:47Speaker 3: you know what, there is a certain principle behind it. Okay,
- 17:52Speaker 3: the four people can't afford to pay bail, So why
- 17:56Speaker 3: don't we do the following a compromise. You get one
- 18:00Speaker 3: get out of jail free card, so that well.
- 18:04Speaker 1: That's not a bad idea. The problem is this no
- 18:06Speaker 1: bail note jail. You see these guys that kill somebody
- 18:08Speaker 1: and it turns out they had twenty seven priors and
- 18:10Speaker 1: they were released. Every time. That's one get out of
- 18:15Speaker 1: free card. Put a limit of one on it. The
- 18:17Speaker 1: best thing is to get rid of this no bail note jail.
- 18:19Speaker 1: But you're right, not a bad idea. If you have to,
- 18:22Speaker 1: if you're stuck with it, put a only one time only,
- 18:26Speaker 1: because if you're getting arrested more than what something must
- 18:28Speaker 1: be wrong. Let's go to Vincent in Brooklyn. Vincent, how
- 18:31Speaker 1: you doing?
- 18:32Speaker 7: Good morning, Mark? I'm okay, Good morning, Mara. Mark. I
- 18:36Speaker 7: believe that Curtis is making inroads with the Democratic voters
- 18:41Speaker 7: because yesterday I was at the Superbarket and I met
- 18:45Speaker 7: this woman. She's a retired city work she's a Democrat,
- 18:50Speaker 7: her husband's a Republican, he supported Trump, and she was
- 18:55Speaker 7: just wailing on Mandami and on Cuomo. Her husband's uncle
- 19:03Speaker 7: died in the nursing home scandal. And she saw right
- 19:08Speaker 7: through Mandami saying that all of this stuff is Boloni
- 19:13Speaker 7: and also what he said yesterday, coming on the heels
- 19:16Speaker 7: of the second anniversary of the attack in Israel and
- 19:22Speaker 7: Mandami's coming out supporting Hamas and all the terrorists in Gadza,
- 19:28Speaker 7: And she was just that I'm fed up. And this
- 19:31Speaker 7: woman is a lifelong Democrat, and she was just as
- 19:37Speaker 7: Mike from Florida says, putting the stink on Cuomo and
- 19:41Speaker 7: also putting the stink on Mandami. I mean a lot
- 19:44Speaker 7: of Curtis's blows making contact.
- 19:48Speaker 1: Yeah. Another thing, Well, a lot of people to think
- 19:51Speaker 1: the polls are under counting the Democrats who are against
- 19:54Speaker 1: Mom died, A lot of Democrats who are still common sense.
- 19:57Speaker 1: They don't like Mom. Donni. It's a supermarket. Why an't
- 20:01Speaker 1: you just shopping? What are you having political discussions in
- 20:03Speaker 1: the supermarket for?
- 20:04Speaker 7: Well, no, she's I was near a veggie section and
- 20:07Speaker 7: this woman I was going there to get some letters,
- 20:09Speaker 7: and she just started talking to me.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Because do you think she was hitting on you?
- 20:13Speaker 7: No, No, I knows. Husband's a nice guy and everything,
- 20:18Speaker 7: neighborhood guy. But she's a retired and she worked for
- 20:22Speaker 7: the Department of Education. How much more liberal didn't you
- 20:25Speaker 7: get then than that? And she was just wailing. Especially
- 20:30Speaker 7: a lot of the women are still very angry about
- 20:34Speaker 7: the fact that Cuomo was like an octopus with all
- 20:37Speaker 7: these sexual harassment cases he had against him, and also
- 20:42Speaker 7: the thing about her husband's uncle died in the nursing
- 20:46Speaker 7: home scandal.
- 20:46Speaker 1: And are very good points. Kurt Cuomo is going to
- 20:50Speaker 1: have a very very rough time in next week's debate.
- 20:52Speaker 1: It could be the end of him in next week's debate.
- 20:55Speaker 7: I hope it is, and I hope a lot more
- 20:57Speaker 7: Democrats are coming to the senses, you know, Like I
- 21:01Speaker 7: heard Larry Mente say on the show that unfortunately a
- 21:05Speaker 7: lot of self hating Jews in Upper Manhattan are gonna
- 21:08Speaker 7: still vote for Mandani. I mean, what's the matter with
- 21:11Speaker 7: these people? Didn't they hear what he said about yesterday?
- 21:15Speaker 7: He goes on the stump and he's talking about the
- 21:18Speaker 7: poor people that died in Gaza. Well, they wouldn't have
- 21:21Speaker 7: died if they didn't attacked Israel first.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean what you give excellent call, Thanks for
- 21:27Speaker 1: calling out. Traditionally you go back and check the record.
- 21:30Speaker 1: A lot of New York City mayoral races totally turn
- 21:32Speaker 1: around in the last few weeks. It's something unique to
- 21:35Speaker 1: New York in the last four or five weeks. They
- 21:37Speaker 1: could just totally turn around. That could happen in next
- 21:39Speaker 1: week's debate. Cuomo will get wiped out. Mamdannie could have
- 21:44Speaker 1: a rough time from Curtis. He easily be Cuomo in
- 21:47Speaker 1: both debates. Curtis is a little different. That's where he
- 21:50Speaker 1: could have problems. Hey, when we come back and culture
- 21:53Speaker 1: will be with us next on seven to ten.
- 21:56Speaker 2: W R Marximu Showers.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Who are well and Culter, the best selling author the
- 22:04Speaker 1: great columnists. Make sure you follow her on Twitter. And
- 22:06Speaker 1: don't forget Substack that's even better Substacks. He's got columns
- 22:09Speaker 1: and videos and interviews and podcasts, all sorts of stuff.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Go to and Culter dot substack dot com and Culter.
- 22:17Speaker 4: How you doing fantastic, Mark Simone, the Yankees won last night.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I to know you were a big Yankee fan.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Yes, yes, and I was not was not expecting it.
- 22:27Speaker 4: They have blown out the first two games, but yy
- 22:30Speaker 4: were roaring back. Now Hey, oh and I met a
- 22:33Speaker 4: fan of yours.
- 22:34Speaker 3: At the game.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Oh you were at the game?
- 22:37Speaker 4: Yeah, yay. Bill Tuckey, big fan of yours and Bill
- 22:40Speaker 4: O'Reilly's and mine, probably a lot of them are. But
- 22:44Speaker 4: happened to meet him.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Well, Bill O'Reilly was there last night at the game.
- 22:48Speaker 4: He was. He was claiming that he had heard he
- 22:50Speaker 4: was going to be there.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, he was there last night.
- 22:53Speaker 4: So the fan, Oh okay, yeah, he was right a picture.
- 22:56Speaker 1: He was a Yankee fan.
- 22:57Speaker 4: But I guess that makes sense in southern Connecticut. Southern
- 23:01Speaker 4: Connecticut is Yankees. Northern Connecticut is Red Sox and rivals.
- 23:06Speaker 1: So hey, I was telling you the you know, the liberal.
- 23:10Speaker 1: You know there's angry old women that live on the
- 23:12Speaker 1: Upper west Side and Upper east Side the well, yes
- 23:15Speaker 1: I do, the angry Democrat. I was telling them they
- 23:18Speaker 1: got to start seriously pacing themselves. You got three and
- 23:21Speaker 1: a half more years of this, you have to pace yours.
- 23:28Speaker 4: No, you're totally right. I mean it's hard to watch
- 23:31Speaker 4: MS and ME without laughing out loud, this one from
- 23:35Speaker 4: the real banger from Chris Murphy last night. Uh, he's,
- 23:39Speaker 4: I guess the senator from from my former state of Connecticut.
- 23:43Speaker 7: Uh.
- 23:44Speaker 4: And I mean it's the same thing we've been hearing
- 23:46Speaker 4: every day, but particularly hysterical last night about how Trump
- 23:49Speaker 4: is going to cancel elections and he's he's creating an
- 23:54Speaker 4: authoritarian government and I think he's going to lock up
- 23:58Speaker 4: lock up liberals, which I don't know. It all sounds
- 24:00Speaker 4: great to me, but maybe a teensy bit overwrought. It
- 24:05Speaker 4: was the saying I've been hearing the same thing now
- 24:08Speaker 4: since basically he won his first election in twenty sixteen.
- 24:14Speaker 4: Do even their viewers think, I don't know, maybe this
- 24:18Speaker 4: is the boy who cried wolf. I think I've heard
- 24:21Speaker 4: that before.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Yeah, what is it about Connecticut? You got the two
- 24:24Speaker 1: dirtiest senators this crazy Chris Murphy and Blumenthal, two really
- 24:29Speaker 1: awful senators. How did that happen?
- 24:31Speaker 4: Now? It's very strange, I know. And plus, as you know,
- 24:35Speaker 4: without meaning to destroy his chances, but the Democratic governor
- 24:41Speaker 4: Ned Lamonts is a pretty sane Democrat.
- 24:44Speaker 7: I mean he is a.
- 24:44Speaker 4: Democrat, but he imposed I think the largest tax cut
- 24:48Speaker 4: in Connecticut history. He's not crazy, but the senators are
- 24:51Speaker 4: utterly embarrassing. I don't know. It happens to a lot
- 24:54Speaker 4: of good states.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, but again you got to pace yourself. Look
- 24:58Speaker 1: at this John Stewart last night, Monday night, he said
- 25:01Speaker 1: ICE is a para, well funded paramilitary group. There zip
- 25:06Speaker 1: tying grandmothers and children. What is he talking about.
- 25:10Speaker 4: It's it's odd that the one set of federal laws,
- 25:16Speaker 4: the Democratic Party officially thinks that it's it's their moral
- 25:20Speaker 4: duty to say should not be enforced. Are are the
- 25:25Speaker 4: immigration laws? I mean, there's are laws on the books.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Why not? Why don't they go protest outside when e
- 25:32Speaker 4: p A administrators are are are are stopping a company
- 25:37Speaker 4: from throwing pollutants into a river. Why don't we have
- 25:41Speaker 4: Antifa out there blocking e p A agents, ramming their
- 25:44Speaker 4: cars into e p A agents, Or when Giuliani was
- 25:49Speaker 4: arresting the insider traders. No, no, no, we're going They're
- 25:56Speaker 4: utterly shameless about it. And and you know that that
- 26:00Speaker 4: ridiculous creature on MSNBC something sober Off, who is the
- 26:05Speaker 4: we must transform America into Ecuador immediately reporter. They just
- 26:11Speaker 4: they casually say no, all these people they're not criminals, well, okay,
- 26:17Speaker 4: but if they're here illegally, they gotta go. That's the law. Okay.
- 26:23Speaker 4: Maybe Trump's ICE isn't going to be concentrating on them,
- 26:27Speaker 4: but they act like this is you know, how dare you?
- 26:32Speaker 4: These are federal laws? And these are federal laws. I mean,
- 26:34Speaker 4: it's not like Stephen Miller and Trump invented these laws.
- 26:39Speaker 4: These laws were passed over the last fifty years by
- 26:42Speaker 4: Republican and Democratic presidents, signed into law, passed with Republicans
- 26:47Speaker 4: and Democrats in the Senate, in the House banging out compromises,
- 26:51Speaker 4: and these are the laws in what's that thing? They love?
- 26:55Speaker 4: Democracy created laws on the books, and and they're indignant.
- 27:00Speaker 4: I think they have some moral high ground for saying, no,
- 27:03Speaker 4: how dare you enforce federal law?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Hey, here's some numbers. ICE has already deported four hundred
- 27:10Speaker 1: and ninety three thousand illegals, and they believe one point
- 27:15Speaker 1: six million have left voluntarily self deported. It's pretty good. First.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember when they made fun of Romney for
- 27:24Speaker 4: the self deportation. I get, of course they're going to
- 27:26Speaker 4: self deport, but you gotta start making it, making it uncomfortable.
- 27:32Speaker 4: I mean remember that line they used to use that,
- 27:35Speaker 4: you know, oh, the poor illegals, they're living in the shadows,
- 27:38Speaker 4: living the well, yeah, breaking the law is supposed to
- 27:42Speaker 4: be uncomfortable. I'm sorry. I'm sorry you're uncomfortable breaking our
- 27:45Speaker 4: laws illegals. But no, that isn't really our problem. To
- 27:49Speaker 4: make sure you were not quote, living in the shadows
- 27:52Speaker 4: as they are appearing on the cover of Time magazine
- 27:55Speaker 4: and getting shows on MTV.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know about that, living in the shadows.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Every time in a restaurant, they I'm right over to
- 28:00Speaker 1: your table. They're the bus boy, They're on the streets
- 28:02Speaker 1: selling candy bars, are there everywhere living in the shadows.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Okay, the candy bars, you're right, The bus boys, I think.
- 28:09Speaker 4: I think, mister elitist Mark Simone, you are wrong. I
- 28:13Speaker 4: bet you. Most of them are legal.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Okay, well, nowadays all the restaurants are. They do have
- 28:17Speaker 1: legal employees, but uh, the illegals.
- 28:20Speaker 4: My point with that is, if I could interrupt you
- 28:24Speaker 4: or me to say this, this idea that suddenly every
- 28:28Speaker 4: Mexican restaurant is going to disappear, No, I promise you
- 28:31Speaker 4: we are chocked full of Mexicans legally legal.
- 28:35Speaker 7: There's lots of them.
- 28:37Speaker 4: No, you'll still have You'll still have your greens on
- 28:40Speaker 4: the golf course, mark Simo. They will be. It will
- 28:45Speaker 4: be neatly trimmed. They're still your pools will be crystal clear,
- 28:49Speaker 4: not even a little bit of slime. And it will
- 28:52Speaker 4: all be done by legal immigrants.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I don't forget the car wash and the.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Car wash, but these, however, those slimy tomaine field fruits
- 29:03Speaker 4: and candy bars that they're selling on the street, clogging
- 29:07Speaker 4: up the sidewalks, violating New York City laws, by the way,
- 29:11Speaker 4: in addition to federal immigration laws. You can't just sell
- 29:15Speaker 4: stuff on the street like that. But but it's pretty awful,
- 29:18Speaker 4: all these Venezuelans they've dumped on the city.
- 29:21Speaker 1: And what is it with the candy bars? They're trying
- 29:23Speaker 1: to kill us with fen Now they're trying to kill
- 29:24Speaker 1: us with candy bars.
- 29:26Speaker 4: Uh, No, one of those hideous mango things they have.
- 29:31Speaker 4: I would like I would like some some reports on
- 29:35Speaker 4: emergency room admissions from poisoning from those things.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Well, but midterms, what do you think Democrats? I think
- 29:46Speaker 1: are just digging themselves into a hole here. It's not
- 29:48Speaker 1: going to be good in the midterms.
- 29:50Speaker 4: Well, the reason, the reason I keep pautioning, uh, that
- 29:58Speaker 4: that we made may not be a good year for
- 30:01Speaker 4: Republicans is because historically that has been the case, and
- 30:05Speaker 4: Democrats have this sneaky little trick or they allow America
- 30:08Speaker 4: each side will just cheerlead for its own team. I've
- 30:11Speaker 4: noticed this one. I see conservatives on TV before an
- 30:15Speaker 4: election saying, oh, yeah, we're gonna win. We're gonna win,
- 30:17Speaker 4: when everyone knows we're about to lose, but each side,
- 30:21Speaker 4: I guess it's a way of of, you know, creating
- 30:24Speaker 4: morale on your side. What Democrats to do, even if
- 30:28Speaker 4: they're about to have a very narrow victory, is allow
- 30:30Speaker 4: Republicans to go out and say, oh, we're gonna crush,
- 30:33Speaker 4: We're gonna kill, there's gonna be a landslide. And then
- 30:35Speaker 4: when well, Republicans only pick up a few seats or
- 30:39Speaker 4: actually lose seats, Democrats will turn around and say, you see,
- 30:43Speaker 4: this is a complete repudiation of everything you've been doing.
- 30:47Speaker 4: They have done this historically, so just keep I think
- 30:52Speaker 4: the Democrats are nuts, I think they deserve to lose.
- 30:55Speaker 4: I hope most Americans aren't as crazy as these people
- 30:58Speaker 4: are but gloricalle The party out of power has more
- 31:03Speaker 4: energy and gumption and enthusiasm and people. Also, America is
- 31:10Speaker 4: just instinctively like divided governments, even when one half of
- 31:14Speaker 4: that divide is out of its mind. So I think
- 31:19Speaker 4: the just keep in mind the odds are that we
- 31:21Speaker 4: will lose seats.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Oh all right, well, hey, everybody follow and Culture on
- 31:26Speaker 1: Twitter and her substack is great. There's all kinds of
- 31:29Speaker 1: stuff there, podcast, interviews, videos, You go to a culture

- 32:09Speaker 1: iHeartRadio app.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Now back to Mark Simone on wor.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Well Hey, as far as New York City looks like
- 32:17Speaker 1: the rain is over, it's done. The weather will be
- 32:20Speaker 1: great tonight for the Yankee game. Seven o'clock. You know
- 32:24Speaker 1: who died? This is how you if you're in Florida
- 32:27Speaker 1: and the old people, this is how they start a conversation.
- 32:29Speaker 1: You know who died? Actually a great man, sauls z Bar,
- 32:33Speaker 1: ninety seven years old. He's the guy behind zay Bar's
- 32:36Speaker 1: Upper West Side landmark. Although this, you know, it was
- 32:41Speaker 1: so unique for so many years, z Bars. But now
- 32:43Speaker 1: there's like a million competitors, I mean whatever it is bagels, salmon,
- 32:48Speaker 1: and there's a million other places. But still one of
- 32:50Speaker 1: the great institutions of New York. Saul z Bar, ninety
- 32:53Speaker 1: seven years old. Anyway, Yankees tonight, seven o'clock. Quite a
- 32:59Speaker 1: lot of momentum, just for good luck. Let's listen to
- 33:01Speaker 1: it again. This is Aaron Judge comes to bat on.
- 33:03Speaker 2: A strike pitch. It's a time downline hoof experiences. Moment
- 33:11Speaker 2: it's time.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Now that turns everything around, turn the game around, could
- 33:22Speaker 1: turn the whole series around. So anything can happened tonight,
- 33:27Speaker 1: So be watching the game. Also watch last night in
- 33:29Speaker 1: the middle of the game. There were some courteous lee
- 33:31Speaker 1: with commercials. Watch for them again tonight. Those are good.
- 33:34Speaker 1: That's good ad placement. Don't go away. Buck and Clay
- 33:38Speaker 1: are coming up next with an excellent show. I'm here
- 33:40Speaker 1: every day ten to noon, or you could listen to
- 33:43Speaker 1: the show anytime you want, day or night. Just get
- 33:45Speaker 1: the podcast. That way you can hear it anytime you want.
- 33:49Speaker 1: But I'll be back tomorrow ten. I'll talk to you
- 33:51Speaker 1: then on seven to ten wor
