- 0:00Speaker 1: The following program is produced by the tech Talk Radio Network. Hey,
- 0:03Speaker 1: this is Mike Nelson from Mystery Science Theater and rifftracks
- 0:06Speaker 1: dot com and you're listening to the greatest show on
- 0:09Speaker 1: the planet, tech Talk Radio. Welcome to another episode of
- 0:14Speaker 1: tech Talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Sean de Weird,
- 0:18Speaker 1: and I'm justin let me.
- 0:19Speaker 2: That's good to say. Everybody help. He's been a good week,
- 0:21Speaker 2: two weeks in a row.
- 0:23Speaker 3: All here.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Yeah, this is unheard of. And listen.
- 0:27Speaker 3: No thunder, no lightning, no severe weather, no air raids.
- 0:30Speaker 3: So it was cloudless, it was beautiful. I got to
- 0:33Speaker 3: mow the lawn today. There was a good day here.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Now have you gotten the room completely aired out? And uh,
- 0:39Speaker 1: it's it is?
- 0:39Speaker 3: It is dry. I thank god.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Right.
- 0:41Speaker 3: The insurance adjuster did come today. Okay, so, but we
- 0:45Speaker 3: may have to get the entire carpet replaced in the basement.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I bet oh so I did.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Yeah, so we'll see what they say because they only
- 0:53Speaker 3: pulled up half of the basement. For those of you
- 0:56Speaker 3: who are listening that don't know, about two weeks ago,
- 0:59Speaker 3: we had a well failure, well pumped failure in our
- 1:02Speaker 3: closet in the basement where the wall pump is, and
- 1:05Speaker 3: it ejected three and a half gallons a minute of
- 1:08Speaker 3: water for several hours in our basement. So he was
- 1:12Speaker 3: dealing with that. That's why if you're watching the video,
- 1:14Speaker 3: you can just this normally doesn't look this messy. Behind me,
- 1:17Speaker 3: this is the contents of my basement are all jacked.
- 1:20Speaker 3: I made a little hole from my seat right and
- 1:23Speaker 3: otherwise I got stuff everywhere down right around me.
- 1:26Speaker 1: It reminds me, though, like just hearing you describe it,
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm thinking what that had to have looked terrible? Have
- 1:31Speaker 1: you guys noticed more AI generated commercials that are like
- 1:37Speaker 1: of things like this showing a disaster happening, you know,
- 1:40Speaker 1: whereas before they'd have to pay CG. You know, they
- 1:43Speaker 1: have to do a lot of computer graphics to make
- 1:45Speaker 1: it look somewhat somewhat believable, but now they just throw
- 1:49Speaker 1: it into AI. There is one out there and I
- 1:52Speaker 1: app like the commercial comes on and I cannot stand it.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Plexiderm And I'm not knocking the producause.
- 2:00Speaker 1: I don't know what them the products supposed to get
- 2:02Speaker 1: rid of wrinkles and all of that stuff, Like probably
- 2:04Speaker 1: because you watch Hallmark all day long. Dude, that's our
- 2:07Speaker 1: target audience. But it's it is the worst AI generated
- 2:12Speaker 1: video I have seen, you know, the recent holiday commercials
- 2:16Speaker 1: with the Bears, the Coca Cola commercials, So people.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Are going, come on, guys, it's a little too much.
- 2:22Speaker 1: This one is to the point where it's like, and
- 2:25Speaker 1: it's not just that they're using people. So they have
- 2:28Speaker 1: they have, you know, act a guy and two girls
- 2:32Speaker 1: and they're you know, happy about plexiderm and what it
- 2:35Speaker 1: could do. I'm sorry, people, take a look for this
- 2:37Speaker 1: video of Sean's Shawn's Google food in it right now.
- 2:40Speaker 1: But they also have an AI generated song and I'm
- 2:43Speaker 1: listening to him go, this is soon up. I mean,
- 2:45Speaker 1: I'm listening to go. I could tell this is soon
- 2:47Speaker 1: O generated. I'm pretty sure of it.
- 2:50Speaker 3: So you know, I played with Suno quite a bit, yeah,
- 2:54Speaker 3: making some parody songs which turned out pretty pretty great,
- 2:56Speaker 3: pretty great actually, and I was I spent probably thirty
- 3:03Speaker 3: forty hours in their creatic songs listening playing, you know,
- 3:06Speaker 3: spent a couple of good nights of doing it. I
- 3:09Speaker 3: could hear songs that are AI generated, yeah, based off
- 3:14Speaker 3: of rhythm and tempo and some inflection and stuff like this, like,
- 3:17Speaker 3: oh this, especially with the kids radio stuff we do
- 3:21Speaker 3: on Pandora, I'm intrigued. Like it's like it's either I'm
- 3:25Speaker 3: just getting that uncandy valley where it's like this may
- 3:28Speaker 3: sound like AI, it may not. It's weird, but you
- 3:33Speaker 3: can definitely tell there's definitely a rhythm a feel that
- 3:36Speaker 3: you can see and hear that it's it's some of
- 3:39Speaker 3: its AI.
- 3:40Speaker 1: There's more and more stuff being generated, especially on the
- 3:42Speaker 1: pseudo platform too, And now they're saying that they're actively
- 3:46Speaker 1: screening AI generated music for copyrighted material. They just announced
- 3:50Speaker 1: that earlier this month, and they're using something called Music's
- 3:54Speaker 1: Match Sentinel that will look for, you know, generated music
- 4:00Speaker 1: since a copyrighted composition. So the thing with Suno is
- 4:03Speaker 1: and some people don't understand, and I'll be honest with
- 4:05Speaker 1: I've used it. As a matter of fact. I had
- 4:06Speaker 1: a project recently. You know, I shoot video and I
- 4:09Speaker 1: do you know, special video presentations, and I did one
- 4:14Speaker 1: for a guy celebrating his seventieth birthday. And in this
- 4:18Speaker 1: we did interviews with people who talked about this guy
- 4:21Speaker 1: and really nice guy, the whole bit, and at the
- 4:24Speaker 1: end they wanted you know, a photo slide show, and
- 4:27Speaker 1: I can do that, so I, you know.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Put together a photo slide show.
- 4:30Speaker 1: And I said, you know, this might be better if
- 4:33Speaker 1: we had a song. And I told her, I said,
- 4:35Speaker 1: do you want to write a song for your husband?
- 4:38Speaker 1: And she's in the arts, she's an actress, and so
- 4:41Speaker 1: she said, yeah, you know what, let me give it
- 4:42Speaker 1: a try. So she did, and I took the lyrics
- 4:46Speaker 1: put it into Suno and I asked, Suno, can you
- 4:49Speaker 1: generate this? And I told her the style, I said,
- 4:52Speaker 1: what I don't want, what I do want, And it
- 4:54Speaker 1: gave me five different versions of songs that could be
- 4:58Speaker 1: and I sent her all five and there was one
- 5:01Speaker 1: she absolutely loved and it came out great. So it
- 5:05Speaker 1: certainly has I mean, it has a purpose, and it
- 5:08Speaker 1: could be used for really creating Sean. You found that
- 5:11Speaker 1: yourself too. It could be a lot of fun, you know,
- 5:13Speaker 1: pre parody songs. But some people are like this this commercial,
- 5:17Speaker 1: I have to say, I don't know, maybe they aren't
- 5:20Speaker 1: using it, but it surely sounded like it to me
- 5:23Speaker 1: to the point where it's like uh no, no, no,
- 5:25Speaker 1: you know it's like you see those AI posters.
- 5:29Speaker 2: They all look the same.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Well, we're just in that point with AI that it's
- 5:33Speaker 3: just it's so I don't even it's so annoying that
- 5:37Speaker 3: I have to look at every image that I see
- 5:39Speaker 3: or every music songs that I listen to go hmm, is
- 5:42Speaker 3: this or is this not AI? Is this original content?
- 5:47Speaker 3: And it's like, I'm frustrated by that because I don't
- 5:50Speaker 3: want to have to think that, right, I want to
- 5:52Speaker 3: just know that somebody spent their time their energy to
- 5:55Speaker 3: create something beautiful, whether or not that I if it's
- 5:58Speaker 3: my genre or not, right, they spent their time, they're
- 6:01Speaker 3: they're hard earned money on building this music, this art
- 6:03Speaker 3: to express themselves and now we just don't know anymore.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and and now soon it's kind of changed
- 6:10Speaker 1: this platform a bit. I'm not experienced it yet, but
- 6:13Speaker 1: they do have download limits. So for those that you
- 6:16Speaker 1: know are creating songs every day, you know, I just
- 6:19Speaker 1: do it when I need it, you know, if I've
- 6:21Speaker 1: got something I.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Need to use it for. And what is this that
- 6:25Speaker 2: you are showing us? Sean? What what is it? Just?
- 6:28Speaker 2: That's just justin? What is this? Just it?
- 6:30Speaker 4: I literally just did an AI image generation of PLEXIDERM
- 6:35Speaker 4: little video featuring aliens and alligators using plexiderm. But look
- 6:41Speaker 4: at the what you created, you know, and it took
- 6:43Speaker 4: me sixty seconds to do it. Yeah, and it's it's
- 6:46Speaker 4: got this TV quality image right, or this video of it.
- 6:52Speaker 4: That's it's crazy getting great skin. Now, what was the
- 6:55Speaker 4: prompt that you used for that? That was pretty I
- 6:57Speaker 4: just said a ridiculous TV ad for plexitter and featuring
- 7:01Speaker 4: aliens and reptiles.
- 7:03Speaker 2: And that's it. That's it.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Oh boy?
- 7:06Speaker 1: But uh yeah back to but but soon when it
- 7:08Speaker 1: comes to the download limits, there's gonna be some download
- 7:12Speaker 1: limits now, so for people who are paying for a
- 7:14Speaker 1: pro plan or whatnot, for those that are just creating
- 7:17Speaker 1: it every day. I have heard some songs that I'll say, wow,
- 7:21Speaker 1: that's a pretty good sounding song. There's one recently called
- 7:24Speaker 1: Rice Slow.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I kind of like it. I like the I like
- 7:27Speaker 2: the feet beat, I like the feel of it.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And then of course I asked, you know, Google, I said, hey,
- 7:33Speaker 1: is this song ai J?
- 7:34Speaker 2: Yes? It AI generated, So you know, don't be afraid
- 7:38Speaker 2: to use.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Your AI to actually have it tell you, yes, that
- 7:42Speaker 1: was created with AI. I've got a funny little story
- 7:45Speaker 1: that happened today.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Okay, So I'm in the.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Car with my son and he wants to listen to
- 7:51Speaker 4: a particular song, and the song I'm like, I don't
- 7:56Speaker 4: I think. I think this song comes from the video
- 8:00Speaker 4: game called Geometry Dash. It's kind of like a side triangle. Yeah,
- 8:04Speaker 4: I bounced a triangle around try to complete it. But
- 8:06Speaker 4: all the music is like it's professionally made. I mean,
- 8:10Speaker 4: these are like actual real music producers that are making
- 8:13Speaker 4: these songs for this. And I'm like, hey, you found
- 8:18Speaker 4: this song on Geometry Dash, didn't you? And he was like, no, no,
- 8:21Speaker 4: I didn't. I swear I did it. And I'm like,
- 8:23Speaker 4: are you sure, and he started crashing out in the
- 8:26Speaker 4: car and he was just.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Like, no, I swear to god, I didn't hear it
- 8:30Speaker 2: on it. I did not hear it on it.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Well, So the thing is is my tesla now has
- 8:36Speaker 4: Grock built in where I can just say really, hey Grock,
- 8:40Speaker 4: and then it interrupts and it will let listen to
- 8:42Speaker 4: my prompts. And I said, Hey, Grock, who is this
- 8:45Speaker 4: musical artist? And it was like this musical artist is.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Blah blah blah blah blahlah bla blah blah blah bah
- 8:50Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah blah.
- 8:51Speaker 4: And then I was like, are any of these songs
- 8:53Speaker 4: featured in Geometry Dash? And he goes like, yes, all
- 8:56Speaker 4: of his songs are featured in Geometry Dad. And I
- 8:58Speaker 4: just looked at Eric and he just was like, I'm like,
- 9:03Speaker 4: you can't lie to me now because I can just
- 9:05Speaker 4: ask the car for the troupe.
- 9:07Speaker 1: God, I had no idea that the Tesla's were doing that.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Now Yep, yep, you actually have onboard AI. With that
- 9:15Speaker 1: on board AI, that's pretty amazing. And I can even
- 9:17Speaker 1: use it to navigate you. I can be like, hey, hey, Groc,
- 9:20Speaker 1: send me to the nearest supercharger. Okay, right, And I
- 9:23Speaker 1: have not yet used Groc, and I know that you like,
- 9:27Speaker 1: I love Groc. Have you used the other ones like
- 9:29Speaker 1: chet TPT or Gemini, yeah, or anthrop Anthropic or any
- 9:33Speaker 1: of that.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I've used I've used pretty much all
- 9:36Speaker 4: of them. Uh, each one of them is good for
- 9:40Speaker 4: you know a particular thing. I mean pretty much, when
- 9:42Speaker 4: you go to Google now and you try to Google anything,
- 9:45Speaker 4: you're just gonna get a Gemini result, Like you're It's
- 9:47Speaker 4: automatically gonna give you an AI result no matter what Claude.
- 9:51Speaker 4: I've found Claude is from Anthropic. I've found that Claude
- 9:54Speaker 4: is extremely good at financial and HR stuff, so we
- 10:01Speaker 4: use a lot of Claude at work. Now we actually
- 10:03Speaker 4: use Copilot. When you have Copilot for business, you can
- 10:07Speaker 4: choose between Microsoft, or you can choose Claude, or you
- 10:12Speaker 4: can choose Chat GPT, and it all falls underneath the
- 10:15Speaker 4: Copilot license. So our finance department will use Claude because
- 10:19Speaker 4: it's really good at analyzing numbers and spreadsheets and things
- 10:23Speaker 4: like that, versus HR might use Chat GPT to come
- 10:28Speaker 4: up with like job descriptions or whatever. I like Grock
- 10:32Speaker 4: because Grock can search real time results from x formerly
- 10:37Speaker 4: known as Twitter, and I use it for a lot
- 10:41Speaker 4: for coding. Now, Anthropics Claud works great for.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Coding as well. I like Grock.
- 10:48Speaker 4: I just I know how to talk to it. I
- 10:50Speaker 4: know what to expect from it, so I know how
- 10:53Speaker 4: to use GROC much better than I do with Anthropics Claud.
- 10:56Speaker 4: And then Gemini being Google, I really just want to
- 11:00Speaker 4: de Google everything.
- 11:01Speaker 1: I've been happy with Gemini, been happy with GPT. You know,
- 11:05Speaker 1: I did the paid version of that and it's helped
- 11:08Speaker 1: me out.
- 11:09Speaker 2: I'll tell you. And I felt the same way about Copilot.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I used Excel quite a bit, and you know, I
- 11:14Speaker 1: had a spreadsheet and normally every month I would go
- 11:17Speaker 1: through and because it was like a monthly expense, I
- 11:20Speaker 1: would go through and I would change a date, and
- 11:21Speaker 1: it was like, and I know there's probably a code,
- 11:24Speaker 1: don't flame me too bad. But I ended up just
- 11:27Speaker 1: asking Copilt it could you please change all the and
- 11:29Speaker 1: it did and it was helpful.
- 11:32Speaker 2: So again, and that's the free version.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Like if you get the paid version of Copilot, it's
- 11:37Speaker 1: much better.
- 11:38Speaker 2: So now if I'm doing Office three sixty five, I'm
- 11:41Speaker 2: not using a paid version. It doesn't come.
- 11:43Speaker 4: No, no, it comes with the free basic version. Co
- 11:47Speaker 4: Pilot for business is an add on. And I want
- 11:49Speaker 4: to say, for us, I think we're paying. I think
- 11:52Speaker 4: it's twenty one dollars a month extra per license.
- 11:55Speaker 2: So well, I did the other day.
- 11:57Speaker 1: My cousin in England found this this picture and she
- 12:01Speaker 1: wanted to know if I could adjust it. She sent
- 12:03Speaker 1: me the digital and I looked at it and I thought, okay,
- 12:07Speaker 1: well I put it in the photoshop first and I
- 12:10Speaker 1: adjusted it, brought it brought up some of the you
- 12:13Speaker 1: know brought up some of the image, did some minor adjustments,
- 12:16Speaker 1: and then I put it into Gemini and I had Gemini.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Clean it up and it did pretty good.
- 12:21Speaker 1: I had a small picture that I scanned, and that
- 12:25Speaker 1: one I scanned it at six hundred DEPI was black
- 12:29Speaker 1: and white, and I honestly thought it was one of
- 12:31Speaker 1: my mom's relatives, not realize it was my mom when
- 12:34Speaker 1: she was God's probably about sixteen fifteen or sixteen.
- 12:38Speaker 2: And so I ended up.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And I found that Photoshop for me works better if
- 12:44Speaker 1: you just take an image and you just throw it
- 12:46Speaker 1: into throw it into Gemini, or you know, one of
- 12:50Speaker 1: the engines to say can you generate a cleaner version
- 12:53Speaker 1: of it? It changes those images. It just it does
- 12:57Speaker 1: just too much adjustment. But if I find if I
- 13:00Speaker 1: put it into Photoshop first, or even light room, and
- 13:02Speaker 1: I make some adjustments like adjusting, you know, doing the
- 13:06Speaker 1: d noise or doing the sharpening or bringing up you know,
- 13:09Speaker 1: the brightness or whatnot them, when when I if I
- 13:12Speaker 1: want to really bring it up and I'll put it
- 13:14Speaker 1: into Gemini, it just gives me a better copy. The
- 13:18Speaker 1: one problem I am having is with polaroids. I am
- 13:22Speaker 1: finding that polaroids, especially you know when they were taking.
- 13:25Speaker 2: This thing right down's path by the way. Yeah, especially
- 13:28Speaker 2: when they're not in the best light.
- 13:31Speaker 1: I have found that you just can't take that polaroid
- 13:34Speaker 1: and put it into Gemini and say can you clean
- 13:37Speaker 1: this up?
- 13:38Speaker 2: Because it will just go hey wire on you.
- 13:40Speaker 1: And I've tried doing it a photoshop too. Still don't
- 13:43Speaker 1: get that one result.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And number one, I found.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Out that I can't use the fast scanner with a polaroid.
- 13:53Speaker 1: They don't bend, so you have to use a flatbed.
- 13:56Speaker 1: So I have to use the flatbed on that. Yeah,
- 13:58Speaker 1: are you able to use the six's eighty?
- 14:00Speaker 3: I scanned a ton of polaroids in it.
- 14:02Speaker 2: It wouldn't pull. Mine would not scan. I have I
- 14:05Speaker 2: have an epsin as well.
- 14:07Speaker 3: No, I scanned hundreds of polaroids surviden.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I had to use a flatbed and do it.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I turned them sideways.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Oh that's because.
- 14:18Speaker 3: It wouldn't pull. It wouldn't pull over the You know what,
- 14:22Speaker 3: when you take a polaroid, it crushes the film and
- 14:24Speaker 3: squeezes the emulsion over whatever. Yeah, I found that it
- 14:28Speaker 3: would get stuck on those, so turning up sideways and
- 14:31Speaker 3: just pulled them in.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Oh, I'm gonna have to try that. But have you
- 14:35Speaker 1: found a way to make those a little more dynamic before?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Maybe?
- 14:40Speaker 3: I mean I don't edit my phone. I mean I
- 14:42Speaker 3: do very minimum control work on my photos, right, I
- 14:46Speaker 3: do very minimum editing. I'd bare I don't think I
- 14:49Speaker 3: touched any of my polaroids, to be honest, I scanned
- 14:51Speaker 3: them in. That's the That's what I like about polaroids
- 14:54Speaker 3: is it's what you get. That's why I think polaroids
- 14:57Speaker 3: are so unique in why people love them is that, Yeah,
- 15:02Speaker 3: you have to do a lot of work to make
- 15:03Speaker 3: them look really good. Like if you're trying to make
- 15:06Speaker 3: studio quality work with a polaright, you have to do
- 15:09Speaker 3: a lot of lighting, a lot of creative design, right,
- 15:12Speaker 3: But if you're just out in the wild shooting, I'm
- 15:15Speaker 3: loving the light leaks. I'm loving the the errors you
- 15:18Speaker 3: get from the film, getting the film getting crushed weird,
- 15:21Speaker 3: or when it gets you know, when you take the
- 15:23Speaker 3: picture and it slides through and right. I don't know
- 15:26Speaker 3: I find value in those those pieces. I don't think
- 15:30Speaker 3: I edited any of my pol rights. Maybe just some.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Cropping, right if it scanned in.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Funny, when I was original because before I got the
- 15:37Speaker 3: fast photo, I was scanning them four at a time on
- 15:39Speaker 3: my flatbed and if they got cock eyed a little bit,
- 15:41Speaker 3: i'd crop them or whatever. But yeah, I've scanned in Polaroids,
- 15:45Speaker 3: probably as far back as the mid sixties, my mom's
- 15:48Speaker 3: stuff from once she was a kid.
- 15:50Speaker 2: The color is never always that dynamic with no.
- 15:53Speaker 3: No, it's never has been, and it's your The film
- 15:56Speaker 3: is not designed that way. Right, it's not high quality.
- 16:00Speaker 3: I wouldn't say high quality, but it's it's not your
- 16:04Speaker 3: Kodak film, right, it's poor. Right, It's that's the that's
- 16:07Speaker 3: the staple of Polaroid. It's was cheap at the time,
- 16:10Speaker 3: but now it's a little bit more expensive.
- 16:11Speaker 2: It's way more expensive.
- 16:13Speaker 3: I said, you guys a link today if you saw that.
- 16:16Speaker 3: But Pokemon and Polaroid have teamed up.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Wow.
- 16:20Speaker 3: So yeah, Polaroid has unveiled a Pokemon collaboration with nine
- 16:25Speaker 3: special edition pieces, the Polaroid Go.
- 16:29Speaker 2: It's funny, people, the Polaroid Go really well.
- 16:32Speaker 3: That's so they have a Go version, they have a three,
- 16:35Speaker 3: They have a Go so they have a special edition
- 16:39Speaker 3: now Gen three Pokemon design. They have a poke ball version.
- 16:43Speaker 3: So it looks like a poke ball. It's got the
- 16:45Speaker 3: red the white in a poke ball as the shutter release,
- 16:49Speaker 3: a poke Polaroid Go Camera Generation three Pikachu Edition, so
- 16:54Speaker 3: it's yellow, it's tiny, it's compact, it's got a flip up,
- 16:58Speaker 3: flip up Pikachi tail, and then a Polaroid Go Camera
- 17:02Speaker 3: Generation three Sylvion Edition. Sylvia's a Pokemon if you didn't
- 17:06Speaker 3: know that, then they have three new Pokemon tailored art frames,
- 17:13Speaker 3: so like the actual art frame around the actual image
- 17:16Speaker 3: itself they've got. They've got a Starter edition to see
- 17:20Speaker 3: or like a base I'm assuming it's the Base one fifty.
- 17:23Speaker 3: I'd have to look at it a little bit closer.
- 17:26Speaker 3: The Pokemon edition. They have a Pikachu Edition, so all
- 17:28Speaker 3: of the frames are yellow with the Pikachu's on them,
- 17:31Speaker 3: and then they have a Sylvia on one. And every
- 17:35Speaker 3: box of film you get has a has a the
- 17:40Speaker 3: blank screens. When you put the film in for the
- 17:42Speaker 3: first time, it spits out a dark screen, it spits
- 17:46Speaker 3: out a blank basically a blank right in. Each one
- 17:49Speaker 3: of those is going to have a new Pokemon on
- 17:51Speaker 3: it or a custom it's whatever, it's it's the collectibles. Yeah,
- 17:57Speaker 3: I just throw them out because they're blank.
- 18:00Speaker 2: How much of these gonna go for?
- 18:01Speaker 3: Yeah, the yes, the poke Ball version is one hundred
- 18:08Speaker 3: and thirty nine. Oh, the Pikachu edition is ninety nine. Right,
- 18:13Speaker 3: the Sylvian design is ninety nine. And then the film.
- 18:16Speaker 3: The films are about twenty three dollars for probably a
- 18:20Speaker 3: probably a pack of eight, which is what they usually
- 18:22Speaker 3: go for.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Right, all right, am I being a fuddy duddy saying okay,
- 18:27Speaker 2: this is cool. It's a lot of money the film.
- 18:30Speaker 1: I'm sorry, what's a fuddy duddy? An old person like me?
- 18:36Speaker 1: But I'm pretty much it's yeah, it's a hallmark term.
- 18:40Speaker 2: But no, I'm just wondering because you could give your
- 18:43Speaker 2: kid one of these because this is geared obviously the kids.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Excuse me, it's geared at you want, It's geared at
- 18:53Speaker 1: me kids at heart.
- 18:55Speaker 2: I said, I don't think.
- 18:56Speaker 3: I think I said this to about a dozen people
- 18:58Speaker 3: today because I Pokemon was targeted to me right as
- 19:02Speaker 3: a kid, right in the in the early the mid nineties,
- 19:05Speaker 3: Like that was me. I played Pokemon on my original
- 19:07Speaker 3: game boy, Like I've played a lot of Pokemon games
- 19:10Speaker 3: over the years.
- 19:11Speaker 2: So if you walk around campus and notre Dame Stamp
- 19:14Speaker 2: in picture with your Pokemon Polaro.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I could totally imagine that, annoying sean I am.
- 19:22Speaker 3: I told Cal, I'm buying one of these. I'm probably
- 19:24Speaker 3: buying the peakach one. But now it's the Go version,
- 19:28Speaker 3: which is tiny, which is small much smaller, right, the
- 19:30Speaker 3: one that I have, the one that I bought four
- 19:33Speaker 3: years ago.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Already at this point.
- 19:36Speaker 3: Is is the generation is the polar Ate now, which
- 19:38Speaker 3: is a little bit bigger. It's got some more flash controls.
- 19:42Speaker 2: The Go.
- 19:43Speaker 3: The Go is smaller and the film is actually smaller too.
- 19:46Speaker 3: So they're not four inch by four inch or whatever
- 19:48Speaker 3: they I'm trying to look at the size. They're a
- 19:51Speaker 3: little bit the film's a little bit smaller.
- 19:52Speaker 2: So okay. So isn't it better, though, to give your
- 19:56Speaker 2: kid an old smartphone and let him go take pictures
- 19:59Speaker 2: with that?
- 20:00Speaker 3: So I actually bought my boys a digital camera. It's
- 20:03Speaker 3: off to look up the model I bought. But it's
- 20:05Speaker 3: a digital camera. It takes mediocre pictures, right, but it's
- 20:09Speaker 3: I can just hand it to him. It's in a
- 20:10Speaker 3: rubber ied case, and they just every time we go
- 20:12Speaker 3: on a trip, I just handed to him. They run
- 20:14Speaker 3: around take a gazillion picture.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I think camp Snap, which we've looked at before, they
- 20:19Speaker 1: had a pretty good idea and they're still doing. They
- 20:21Speaker 1: actually just put out a video camp Snamp, which I'd
- 20:25Speaker 1: love to get my hands on and take a look.
- 20:27Speaker 2: And it's shaped like the old.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Bell and how eight millimeter, you know, with the grip
- 20:31Speaker 1: and the handle and the whole bit. But I mean,
- 20:34Speaker 1: they had that right idea. But I just wonder. You know,
- 20:36Speaker 1: that's a lot of money for the film, a lot
- 20:38Speaker 1: of money for the camera. And again I'm just thinking,
- 20:41Speaker 1: you give the kids an old smartphone.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I'm not I'm not going. I'm not
- 20:47Speaker 3: giving Max. I'm not giving my five year old Polari camera.
- 20:52Speaker 3: He'd clicked, I did, Yeah, he'd click, He'd click five
- 20:55Speaker 3: shots of the ground or somebody's butt.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Yeah, No, that's what, exactly what, That's exactly what Eric
- 21:01Speaker 1: except it was the cats. But but yes, no, he
- 21:05Speaker 1: wasted like four packs of Polaroid kid. But you know what,
- 21:07Speaker 1: it's so much better than a smartphone. I'm sorry. Yeah,
- 21:11Speaker 1: I gotta draw the line somewhere. I let Eric on
- 21:14Speaker 1: the screen so much. I let him watch YouTube, I
- 21:17Speaker 1: let him. He has his own gaming computer. But there's
- 21:20Speaker 1: certain things like that where I gotta say no, go
- 21:23Speaker 1: go play with dirt. Go, you know, go play with
- 21:25Speaker 1: the old Polaroid camera. Figure that, figure that thing out
- 21:29Speaker 1: how it works. You know, take some pictures, just don't waste.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Them all because I'm not gonna buy anymore. Yeah, I see,
- 21:35Speaker 2: I see your point. I and again we do.
- 21:38Speaker 1: It's so easy for us to say, here, kid, here's
- 21:41Speaker 1: the screen, and you know this maybe will spark a
- 21:44Speaker 1: little more creativity. Is that what you're thinking, Yeah, exactly,
- 21:47Speaker 1: it's more creativity. I just I don't know. I don't
- 21:50Speaker 1: I don't like, I don't know.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Man, I think I'm already I think maybe I'm speaking
- 21:55Speaker 4: from personal experience here, but I think I'm already past
- 21:58Speaker 4: the point of no return with him with digit stuff,
- 22:00Speaker 4: because you know, it's like we were going to gymnastics
- 22:05Speaker 4: a little bit ago, and he had already spent maybe
- 22:09Speaker 4: I don't know, I'll say, forty five minutes, forty five
- 22:11Speaker 4: minutes on his computer playing games, and then I'm like, hey,
- 22:14Speaker 4: get ready for gymnastic. He's like, I'm gonna bring my
- 22:16Speaker 4: switch and I'm gonna play games while I'm waiting. I'm
- 22:19Speaker 4: like dude, you got like five minutes of waiting before
- 22:21Speaker 4: you have to go. No, you're not going to bring
- 22:23Speaker 4: a switch?
- 22:24Speaker 1: Well, I want to because I get portant to go
- 22:26Speaker 1: play with other kids.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Bro.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, like that's the kind of thing I'm talking about.
- 22:31Speaker 4: Like he's so addicted now to screens and that's my fault.
- 22:35Speaker 2: You know. It's it's funny.
- 22:36Speaker 1: There's a lot of companies and you know, we've got
- 22:38Speaker 1: our friend that's been on the show, Sean. You introduced
- 22:41Speaker 1: him us to him that had the book that helps
- 22:43Speaker 1: all the mechanical things.
- 22:45Speaker 3: That move and a matter of fact, here I got
- 22:48Speaker 3: it right here.
- 22:49Speaker 2: This book.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Engineering for Babies. If you ever want to find a
- 22:54Speaker 1: good faith Roberts puts this out. We recommend this book.
- 22:57Speaker 1: There's another one that just came out for Worldwide Buddies,
- 23:00Speaker 1: and you know, we're constantly we want to get the
- 23:02Speaker 1: kids away from the screens.
- 23:04Speaker 2: It's Worldwide Buddies.
- 23:06Speaker 1: And how it works is, you know, you open up
- 23:08Speaker 1: the book and it's it's kind of like Chase's books.
- 23:10Speaker 1: You know, they're thick because they have you know, electronics
- 23:15Speaker 1: inside of it.
- 23:16Speaker 2: And the thing is they'll read.
- 23:18Speaker 1: The goal is get them to read but it has
- 23:20Speaker 1: this little magic wand and they can move over like
- 23:24Speaker 1: certain areas and it will light up, so the kids
- 23:28Speaker 1: can read and then use the wand and find out
- 23:31Speaker 1: what lights up and then move to the next page.
- 23:35Speaker 1: You want to know what's funny about that? But this
- 23:37Speaker 1: is new to you, isn't it? Well kind of relatively, Yeah,
- 23:40Speaker 1: I mean did you have something like this?
- 23:43Speaker 2: No? I didn't. Oh yeah, all right, Lisa had this
- 23:45Speaker 2: when she was a kid. Are you kidding me? Like
- 23:48Speaker 2: we're like, we're like.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Five decades behind Japan and kids to.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Chat swear to God seriously.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Yeah, Mesa's had that kind of book since she was
- 23:57Speaker 4: a kid. Oh that with these magic things where like
- 24:01Speaker 4: you run a pen or something over the book and
- 24:04Speaker 4: it will like read for you, or it'll tell you
- 24:06Speaker 4: what word it is or whatever. Like they have these
- 24:09Speaker 4: Like Eric's got this cool toy. It's like literally a
- 24:12Speaker 4: small convenience store and it has little tiny discs that
- 24:17Speaker 4: not discs, but like little tiny squares that represent different
- 24:21Speaker 4: food products that you could buy at a convenience store,
- 24:23Speaker 4: and they all have NFC tags built into him. So
- 24:26Speaker 4: he just scans it with a little dongle and boom
- 24:28Speaker 4: it rings it up on this little computer that he's got,
- 24:30Speaker 4: and I'm like, is this new She's like, no, it's
- 24:33Speaker 4: been off for like twenty years.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Oh my god, see that I saw this.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Oh this is groundbreaking.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Yeah no it's not. This is just Japanese. This is
- 24:44Speaker 4: like standard book reading stuff in Japan.
- 24:47Speaker 2: All right, listen, we had to take quick break.
- 24:48Speaker 1: We do have a question standing by when we come back,
- 24:51Speaker 1: and Justin, I think you might just be the right
- 24:53Speaker 1: person for that, if you've been thinking about extending your network.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Sean de Weird and I'm Justin.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I mean find us on the web at tech talk
- 25:01Speaker 1: radio dot com.
- 25:03Speaker 2: We'll be right back and now fact to tech talk Radio.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Welcome back to tech talk Radio.
- 25:09Speaker 4: I'm Justin and we got a listener question from Ron
- 25:12Speaker 4: in Tucson. He says, I love your show, guys, listening
- 25:15Speaker 4: to here in Tucson when I can and catch it
- 25:17Speaker 4: on the website, but also wanted to get your thoughts
- 25:20Speaker 4: on a router ooh, thinking of an Eero, but wondering if.
- 25:25Speaker 2: It's any good. He said.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Justin seems to know a little bit about networking, so
- 25:28Speaker 1: could you share?
- 25:30Speaker 2: Uh?
- 25:30Speaker 1: Ron, Uh, Well, eerou who makes Eero. By the way,
- 25:35Speaker 1: I forget, I think that's Netgear. No, you know, I
- 25:38Speaker 1: thought it was too. My kids have Frontier uses it Verizon,
- 25:44Speaker 1: but it's actually owned by Amazon. Amazon basically bought the
- 25:48Speaker 1: company and now the Eroo is put out by them.
- 25:51Speaker 1: So it's like a from what I understand, it's like
- 25:54Speaker 1: a mesh network and the one Ero is a mess
- 25:57Speaker 1: shift one they have is pretty is.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Okay, we're works for them. You know, I had it
- 26:02Speaker 2: set up when they moved in. What do you think?
- 26:05Speaker 1: Okay, well, I like the idea behind the mesh network.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Mesh networks work great. Yeah, However, RB is the one
- 26:12Speaker 1: that I think from another company that's pretty good too.
- 26:15Speaker 4: There's so many different companies that make mesh networks. Now,
- 26:18Speaker 4: I mean, I have a brand new one from TP link.
- 26:22Speaker 4: Here's my problem with Eero and Nest and other ones.
- 26:28Speaker 4: These are made by the big tech companies. So Eero
- 26:31Speaker 4: is made by a subsidiary of Amazon. Okay, so what
- 26:35Speaker 4: you're gonna get with Eero and this can you can
- 26:39Speaker 4: say the same thing about the other big ones that
- 26:41Speaker 4: are made by the tech companies, like like I said,
- 26:44Speaker 4: Nest and I'll have to think about the other ones.
- 26:47Speaker 4: TP link is not one of them because they're not
- 26:49Speaker 4: made by one of the big tech companies. No, my
- 26:51Speaker 4: point is when you have Eero, what you're doing, unbeknownst
- 26:57Speaker 4: to you, is you're sending every single bit of your
- 27:02Speaker 4: data to Amazon, and Amazon then is going to use
- 27:07Speaker 4: that to target ads towards you, or they're going to
- 27:09Speaker 4: turn around and sell that information because that's what they do.
- 27:13Speaker 4: That's why these things are so cheap, because they make
- 27:17Speaker 4: money on the back end with your data. So do
- 27:21Speaker 4: not go with those kind of things. A little bit earlier, Ron,
- 27:24Speaker 4: if you were listening, I kind of made a very
- 27:27Speaker 4: quick analogy to not analogy, but just a reference to degoogling, okay,
- 27:33Speaker 4: getting rid of Google, getting rid of your Gmail address.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Like everything you do in Gmail, everything you do on Amazon,
- 27:41Speaker 4: everything you do on Facebook, all of that is being
- 27:44Speaker 4: used to target ads towards you. And I'm done with it,
- 27:49Speaker 4: and so are millions and millions of other people. They're
- 27:52Speaker 4: tired of the big ten companies.
- 27:53Speaker 1: So real quick, justin you know, when you think about it, though,
- 27:56Speaker 1: let's face it, we've all done this where you googled something,
- 28:01Speaker 1: you're looking for something Amazon and you're looking for something,
- 28:07Speaker 1: and you'll notice that your ad feeds on made up
- 28:11Speaker 1: or some of the other sites that are out there.
- 28:15Speaker 1: You'll start getting those ads based on the product you.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Were looking for. No, not even that.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I can be sitting at my desk at work with
- 28:21Speaker 1: my phone turned off, the screen turned off, just sitting
- 28:25Speaker 1: there on my desk, and I might mention something, and
- 28:28Speaker 1: all of a sudden, now I'm getting targeted ads for this. Now,
- 28:30Speaker 1: I've told this story many many times on this show.
- 28:33Speaker 1: Way back in the day, I want to say, probably, gosh,
- 28:37Speaker 1: close to ten years ago.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Now I tested this.
- 28:40Speaker 4: I had an Amazon Echo and I had a Nest,
- 28:43Speaker 4: but at the time it was Google Home or maybe
- 28:46Speaker 4: now it's home, I don't know whatever. And I walked
- 28:48Speaker 4: around the house and I kept saying the words Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini.
- 28:57Speaker 4: I kept saying it over and over and over again,
- 28:59Speaker 4: and all well of a sudden, on Facebook, I started
- 29:03Speaker 4: getting ads for Lamborghinis and Ferraris and other high end vehicles.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Your phone is always listening, so Apple is not immune
- 29:12Speaker 4: to this. Google Pixel phone Samsung runs on Android, which
- 29:16Speaker 4: is owned by Google. All of that they're all listening
- 29:19Speaker 4: to you. If you're not paying for your product, and
- 29:23Speaker 4: I don't count buying the hardware, that's piece of it.
- 29:25Speaker 4: If you're not paying for it, you are the product.
- 29:29Speaker 1: So when you buy an EO, yeah, you might spend
- 29:31Speaker 1: a couple hundred dollars, but that a couple hundred dollars.
- 29:35Speaker 1: That thing's worth a lot more if it wasn't tied
- 29:38Speaker 1: to Amazon or other companies where they're going to take
- 29:41Speaker 1: all of your data on the back end and sell it.
- 29:43Speaker 1: So my recommendation would be to go with a company
- 29:47Speaker 1: like Unify. Now you're gonna have a little bit more
- 29:51Speaker 1: of an investment into that Unify, But the Unifi is closed,
- 29:55Speaker 1: it is not your data is not being sold to
- 29:57Speaker 1: any other company. It is a US based companypany or
- 30:01Speaker 1: you can go with tp link. Now you look up
- 30:03Speaker 1: tp link, you're gonna be like, well, hold on a thing,
- 30:04Speaker 1: and that's a Chinese based company. No, tp link got
- 30:08Speaker 1: sold to a United States company. So anything tp link
- 30:12Speaker 1: branded in the US is a US based company. Tp
- 30:17Speaker 1: Link USA.
- 30:18Speaker 3: Sure about that?
- 30:19Speaker 1: Yes, I looked this up beforehand. Oh all right, if
- 30:22Speaker 1: you go outside the USA, you're getting stuff from China. Now,
- 30:26Speaker 1: the tp link hardware is still manufactured in Taiwan, but
- 30:30Speaker 1: it goes through a rigorous process when it comes to
- 30:33Speaker 1: the United States. And I know people are already rolling
- 30:35Speaker 1: their eyes at me, but it does go through a
- 30:37Speaker 1: rigorous process to say we do not have any Chinese
- 30:41Speaker 1: spyware on our devices or whatever. It might be, right, right,
- 30:44Speaker 1: So I would say unify top of the line tp
- 30:48Speaker 1: link next.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Don't really like Eero.
- 30:51Speaker 1: One of the things I found out I did a
- 30:53Speaker 1: little research after reading Ron's question to us, and I
- 30:56Speaker 1: thought this was interesting is the Eero doesn't allow you
- 31:01Speaker 1: to log into it, like you can't you don't. Oh
- 31:05Speaker 1: heck no, the linksys you have a web interface, so
- 31:08Speaker 1: you can log into it. You could set parameters.
- 31:11Speaker 2: B link, I can log into it. Yeah, the Ero
- 31:14Speaker 2: doesn't allow you to do that. It's a web app driven.
- 31:17Speaker 1: So it's because it's on your smartphone or your tablet
- 31:20Speaker 1: if you want to if you want to do anything
- 31:21Speaker 1: with it, what you can do you would have to
- 31:24Speaker 1: do on your your device rather than being able to
- 31:27Speaker 1: do it via the via your your computer, which made
- 31:31Speaker 1: me feel a little funny.
- 31:32Speaker 4: Yeah, and also they completely lock it down because they
- 31:35Speaker 4: don't want you to be able to block them from
- 31:38Speaker 4: doing what they truly want to do, and that is
- 31:40Speaker 4: stealing your data.
- 31:43Speaker 1: All right, So you would suggest to Ron maybe look
- 31:46Speaker 1: at a unified Why what do you think about linksis?
- 31:50Speaker 1: I mean I have always used linkss and I like them.
- 31:52Speaker 1: But you know that they it's a Chinese company. Yeah,
- 31:56Speaker 1: so I mean Cisco technically owns links.
- 31:59Speaker 2: This I get that.
- 32:01Speaker 1: Cisco is a is a is a US based company.
- 32:04Speaker 1: They do own links to so they might go through
- 32:06Speaker 1: the same process as as TP link does now where
- 32:09Speaker 1: you know, the devices are manufactured in Taiwan or in China,
- 32:11Speaker 1: but then they go through that process to make sure
- 32:13Speaker 1: they don't have any you know, back doors. But you
- 32:16Speaker 1: know what, honestly, putting on my tinfoil hat right now,
- 32:19Speaker 1: it doesn't really matter what you've got because the CIA
- 32:22Speaker 1: can always get in.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Now we have wi Fi seven.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Is wi Fi seven something that people should go ahead
- 32:28Speaker 1: and make the move to from Wi Fi six If
- 32:30Speaker 1: they've got that.
- 32:32Speaker 4: You can support it, yeah, yeah, oh yeah, yeah, huge
- 32:35Speaker 4: difference in Wi Fi seven Wi Fi actually yeah, yeah,
- 32:38Speaker 4: wi Fi six and it was it was pretty good.
- 32:41Speaker 4: Wi Fi seven is even better. Not a lot of
- 32:45Speaker 4: devices supported I mean, the latest smartphones will support it,
- 32:48Speaker 4: the latest computers will support it. Desktop computers, you know,
- 32:52Speaker 4: really don't.
- 32:53Speaker 1: The thing about Wi Fi seven is, you know now
- 32:54Speaker 1: that we've got some of these ISPs that are offering
- 32:58Speaker 1: multi gigabit connections, right, you gotta upgrade not only just
- 33:03Speaker 1: your Internet service, but then you got to upgrade if
- 33:06Speaker 1: you have any type of you know, linksis switches or
- 33:09Speaker 1: net gear switches or even just your desktop computers network
- 33:14Speaker 1: card has to support multi gig in it. So, like
- 33:19Speaker 1: if you got a one gig switch that's behind your modem,
- 33:25Speaker 1: even though you might pay for two point five gig service,
- 33:28Speaker 1: that one gig switch is limiting your stuff down to
- 33:31Speaker 1: one gig, so you're never gonna see the benefits of it.
- 33:33Speaker 1: So when you upgrade to things like Wi Fi seven,
- 33:36Speaker 1: which can support multi gig, yeah, you need to make
- 33:40Speaker 1: sure that your devices and the rest of your network
- 33:42Speaker 1: and equipment can support it.
- 33:44Speaker 2: All right. Well, I'll hope we helped you out Ron
- 33:46Speaker 2: with that.
- 33:47Speaker 1: If you ever have a question, feel free to drop
- 33:49Speaker 1: us align tech guys at tech talk radio dot com. Sean, Well,
- 33:52Speaker 1: what is your experience with some of this stuff as
- 33:55Speaker 1: far as routers and and the like.
- 33:58Speaker 3: So I have a your Nighthawk h what. I've had
- 34:03Speaker 3: that since I moved into the house in twenty nineteen,
- 34:07Speaker 3: and it's been good. Actually, it was gonna ask you
- 34:10Speaker 3: guys what you would recommend for a WiFi router.
- 34:12Speaker 1: The t T B link DICO d E c O
- 34:16Speaker 1: is what I got. It's a three. You can get three,
- 34:19Speaker 1: you can get five, you can get seven different mesh units,
- 34:24Speaker 1: and so you've got the main router downstairs, and then
- 34:26Speaker 1: you put the mesh units throughout the house and they
- 34:28Speaker 1: all connect to each other, and then you've got Wi
- 34:30Speaker 1: Fi throughout the house. I love T B link DICO.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:32Speaker 3: I you had mentioned Unifi, which unifies the best I've
- 34:36Speaker 3: looked at doing. So I can do some stuff with
- 34:39Speaker 3: tailscale and some exit nodes and things like that. So
- 34:42Speaker 3: I'm a little bit of a whole notes are you
- 34:45Speaker 3: a dark Web?
- 34:46Speaker 2: No?
- 34:48Speaker 3: Are you?
- 34:49Speaker 2: He's like, I just want to do some stuff with
- 34:50Speaker 2: do you know exit nodes?
- 34:52Speaker 4: You know, running the silk Road, you know now that
- 34:55Speaker 4: Ross's and jail and stuff.
- 34:56Speaker 2: You know. No, if you's the business flowing, I.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Just want to start upgrading my my WiFi and stuff
- 35:04Speaker 3: like that too, not that my kids are going to
- 35:06Speaker 3: be getting onto it. But I want to start separating
- 35:08Speaker 3: some stuff onto some.
- 35:09Speaker 2: VLANs if you can afford it.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Unify so will allow you to uh to manage the
- 35:15Speaker 1: the you know, different IP addresses.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I can do that.
- 35:20Speaker 3: I can do that now. I can do all that
- 35:22Speaker 3: Layer two, all the Layer two stuff now, but I
- 35:27Speaker 3: just haven't dug two deep into it. But I want
- 35:29Speaker 3: to start separating some of my stuff so that I'm
- 35:31Speaker 3: not eating up the not sharing my eyep pool with
- 35:34Speaker 3: all my Wi Fi cameras and all that stuff.
- 35:36Speaker 4: What what I love about Unify is you got the
- 35:39Speaker 4: Unified dream Machine that is like an as a basically
- 35:43Speaker 4: a network server that that that that all it does
- 35:47Speaker 4: is is manage your network. But it is a server class.
- 35:50Speaker 4: It's literally a rack mount device that will I'll sit
- 35:54Speaker 4: in your network. And the Unified dream Machine does so
- 35:59Speaker 4: much stuff.
- 36:00Speaker 2: It's amazing.
- 36:00Speaker 1: It is enterprise grade made for consumers.
- 36:05Speaker 3: I looked at I looked at getting one of those.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I don't have too many containers i'd want to put
- 36:09Speaker 3: on it those, so it's like it doesn't really suit
- 36:11Speaker 3: what I wanted.
- 36:12Speaker 2: A pie hole put.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Your I'm trying to figure out what I can migrate
- 36:17Speaker 3: from my current home lab into make it a little less.
- 36:22Speaker 2: I don't know I would ever join us again.
- 36:25Speaker 1: He's got a whole Unified dream machine at his house
- 36:27Speaker 1: and he's got Unified running through the whole thing.
- 36:29Speaker 2: He can talk for hours about that. It is up
- 36:31Speaker 2: to his eyeballs and network stuff. So we understand that.
- 36:35Speaker 1: But what about pricing on Unify if somebody wants to
- 36:37Speaker 1: look into that and.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Can is this something?
- 36:39Speaker 1: Can you walk into best Buy or Costco and say
- 36:43Speaker 1: I'm looking for Unify, No, this is something micro Microcenter
- 36:46Speaker 1: maybe Microcenter, or just go to UI the Ubiquity store.
- 36:50Speaker 1: It's online, they have their own store. They sell direct
- 36:53Speaker 1: a consumer. A Broadway on the show has worked with
- 36:57Speaker 1: Ubiquity for years. Yeah, that's Unifying Abiquity Unify.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Well he was in a unique scenario on his farm
- 37:03Speaker 3: where he had to do point to point to get stuff.
- 37:05Speaker 2: That's what makes really special. Yes, so you can.
- 37:08Speaker 3: Buy the Unified bridge and a couple other pieces and
- 37:11Speaker 3: so like ookay, for instance, like Ron, let's look, let's
- 37:14Speaker 3: go back to Ron.
- 37:15Speaker 4: What what what happens if Ron has that situation where
- 37:18Speaker 4: he's got a garage that's detached from his house. But
- 37:21Speaker 4: he's got a little man cave in there. How can
- 37:23Speaker 4: he get internet over there without having to trench a line,
- 37:26Speaker 4: put condo it in and run an Ethernet cable Boom, Ubiquity, Unify,
- 37:31Speaker 4: point to point, perfect wireless dish.
- 37:34Speaker 1: All right, and is there a website for Ubiquity if
- 37:36Speaker 1: our listeners want to do I dot com, UI dot com.
- 37:39Speaker 2: All right, we go to take another quick break. We
- 37:41Speaker 2: come back with more of tech Talk Radio.
- 37:43Speaker 1: You gotta tell you a story about something I did
- 37:45Speaker 1: Saturday that terrified me and maybe you guys have your
- 37:49Speaker 1: thoughts and you can help.
- 37:51Speaker 2: This person in the future. I'm Indy Taylor, I'm Sean
- 37:54Speaker 2: de Weird, and I'm justin.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Let me send us an X at tech talk Radio.
- 37:59Speaker 2: We'll be read back.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Now back to tech talk Radio.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Hey, this is Harolan, and you listen to the geeks
- 38:04Speaker 2: on the radio tech talk Radio.
- 38:07Speaker 4: All right, So last week we talked about prepping, you know,
- 38:10Speaker 4: preparing for a disaster and all the you know, bad
- 38:13Speaker 4: stuff that might never happen.
- 38:16Speaker 2: So I went ahead.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I did purchase a few things, and one of the
- 38:19Speaker 1: things I purchased was a Noah radio N o a
- 38:22Speaker 1: a hand crank solar powered lithium ion battery on board radio,
- 38:29Speaker 1: and it does FM, AM and it does all the
- 38:32Speaker 1: weather bands. And so I had it in my car
- 38:35Speaker 1: because I took it to work and I wanted to
- 38:36Speaker 1: show my coworkers and little really I wish I had
- 38:41Speaker 1: it down here, but I don't. But it's a very small,
- 38:44Speaker 1: hand hand crank radio. It does have a lithium ion
- 38:48Speaker 1: battery on board, It does have a solar panel for charging.
- 38:50Speaker 1: It does take Triple a's in case you want to
- 38:52Speaker 1: use Triple a's. But anyway, I had it in my
- 38:56Speaker 1: car and I picked up Eric, my son from school.
- 38:59Speaker 1: And during that time when I picked him up that
- 39:02Speaker 1: particular day, it was a lot of storm clouds around,
- 39:05Speaker 1: like we had some some thunderstorms coming through the area.
- 39:10Speaker 1: And in the car as we were driving, all of
- 39:13Speaker 1: a sudden, we heard bam ba.
- 39:18Speaker 2: And I'm like, okay, they.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Normally do this right around this time on.
- 39:21Speaker 2: The radio station, you know.
- 39:23Speaker 1: I was like, oh, oh, We're sitting at a stoplights.
- 39:26Speaker 1: I was like, oh, grab the Noah radio. Turn it
- 39:28Speaker 1: onto the weather band. And he's like, oh okay, So
- 39:31Speaker 1: he turns it onto the weather band. Real quick, and
- 39:33Speaker 1: all of a sudden, again you hear that bam bam.
- 39:37Speaker 4: But this time you hear at the end of it.
- 39:42Speaker 4: And I'm like, oh my god, this is real. This
- 39:43Speaker 4: is real, right, And he's like freaking out. He says
- 39:46Speaker 4: freaking out. He's like, oh my god, oh my god,
- 39:48Speaker 4: my god, oh my god, what's happening. What's happening?
- 39:50Speaker 2: And he was like, you're kid on another.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Flash flood warning for the following counties Bluss County, of
- 40:01Speaker 1: Jefferson County. And he's freaking out and I'm like, oh,
- 40:05Speaker 1: it's just flash floods, dude.
- 40:06Speaker 2: He's like, oh, we can have floods. I don't like
- 40:09Speaker 2: this thing.
- 40:10Speaker 1: And he goes and he tries to throw the Noah
- 40:13Speaker 1: radio out the window of the car, and I'm like, no, no, no, no,
- 40:18Speaker 1: don't do that.
- 40:20Speaker 2: He's like, I don't like emergency alerts. I don't like them.
- 40:24Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, they do it, and he goes, why
- 40:26Speaker 1: do they have to use such a weird tone and
- 40:29Speaker 1: why do they have to use such a weird voice.
- 40:31Speaker 1: I'm like, they do that by design. They want you
- 40:34Speaker 1: to pay attention, so they're gonna create something that's going
- 40:37Speaker 1: to make you pay attention. Well, I'm gonna.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Sue the noah.
- 40:44Speaker 3: But well, so for those people that that don't know
- 40:47Speaker 3: why they use those tones, right, they're specifically designed to
- 40:50Speaker 3: trigger the EAS alert systems via tone ADO at the
- 40:54Speaker 3: TV station, so it triggers the crawl and all that
- 40:57Speaker 3: stuff so automatically. So for those of you who are
- 40:59Speaker 3: know that's that's why.
- 41:01Speaker 1: But also those specific frequencies they use to generate the
- 41:05Speaker 1: DAN DAN those are three frequencies combined together that are
- 41:12Speaker 1: only able to be produced by the EAS system. Nobody
- 41:17Speaker 1: else is allowed to produce those tones.
- 41:20Speaker 2: If you there was a song that had used that and.
- 41:23Speaker 4: Yes and they got oh yeah, they got sued. Yeah,
- 41:25Speaker 4: so you are not allowed to use those combination of
- 41:29Speaker 4: the three tones put together in any type of media
- 41:32Speaker 4: format by anyway. And so you know, me just going
- 41:36Speaker 4: you know, obviously is not good enough to generate those tones.
- 41:40Speaker 1: But you get the point in my life, so you
- 41:42Speaker 1: get the point. Yeah, Well, I mean I was in
- 41:44Speaker 1: Radio two. I remember all those days of how to
- 41:46Speaker 1: do that.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Well, I'm gonna tell another funny story here too to
- 41:49Speaker 3: combine with years. So when I worked at ABC here
- 41:52Speaker 3: in South End, right, I was the engineer a call
- 41:55Speaker 3: during the day during the newscast and I'm just have
- 41:58Speaker 3: the news on. I'm listening to it, and all of
- 42:01Speaker 3: a sudden, I heard the tones and I was like,
- 42:03Speaker 3: oh god, there's an alert, Like I got what's going on?
- 42:06Speaker 3: And I was like, wait, they were just in a package.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Just they're just playing a package. And I was like,
- 42:11Speaker 3: I was like, oh no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 42:14Speaker 3: no no no. So the reporter had put in the
- 42:18Speaker 3: emergency alert tones in her package to to talk about
- 42:21Speaker 3: whether or and other things like that, and I was
- 42:23Speaker 3: like I heard. I marched down to the news director's
- 42:26Speaker 3: office and said, you have to pull that out of
- 42:29Speaker 3: the Like I don't care, because this is like at
- 42:30Speaker 3: five o'clock, right, so it was gonna air again at
- 42:32Speaker 3: six and six whatever. I was like, that cannot air again.
- 42:36Speaker 3: That cannot She's like, what do you mean. It's like
- 42:38Speaker 3: that that's legal, Like we are going to like they will,
- 42:40Speaker 3: we are going to get fined if that airs again.
- 42:43Speaker 3: And she's like, no, that's you can't tell me to
- 42:45Speaker 3: pull something out of a newscast. Like I was like,
- 42:49Speaker 3: I don't care. That cannot air again. I I like, I.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Just was very I was like, I will probably peer.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Probably the most aggressive I've been about it because I
- 43:00Speaker 3: know how serious it is. And then the next day
- 43:02Speaker 3: I got an email from our corporate like our corporate,
- 43:05Speaker 3: our corporate people saying like you made the right call
- 43:07Speaker 3: by telling them not to do that. But like, but
- 43:10Speaker 3: it was like it was like one of those things,
- 43:12Speaker 3: Like it caught my attention right away because I was like,
- 43:14Speaker 3: why is there an a tone going on boom?
- 43:17Speaker 2: Which is the whole point, That's the whole thing.
- 43:19Speaker 3: But I had to fight because I was like, nobody
- 43:21Speaker 3: knew that that was against the law.
- 43:23Speaker 2: I don't know what it is, but I will.
- 43:26Speaker 1: We get you know, we get the monsoon storms here,
- 43:28Speaker 1: so we get the alerts, we get the flash flood warnings,
- 43:31Speaker 1: and they serve a purpose.
- 43:33Speaker 2: But I will it will always happen.
- 43:35Speaker 1: When I have the headphones cranked and I'm enjoying a
- 43:38Speaker 1: song that we're playing here at kgv Y, and it
- 43:41Speaker 1: go off, it's like, oh, it's not good in your health.
- 43:46Speaker 3: We talked about how a lot of the shows we've
- 43:50Speaker 3: I've been under severe weather, right and you and I
- 43:52Speaker 3: have done plenty of shows where my weather radio starts
- 43:54Speaker 3: going off in the background. And you guys share what's
- 43:57Speaker 3: that noise?
- 44:00Speaker 1: So yeah, so that that be we yeah, that thing
- 44:02Speaker 1: right there. I didn't notice this, but yes.
- 44:04Speaker 4: When when when I have my Noah radio turned on,
- 44:08Speaker 4: and if I get an EAS alert while listening to
- 44:11Speaker 4: the Noah radio, it triggers the so os sound on
- 44:15Speaker 4: the Noah radio, which is a very loud like siren.
- 44:20Speaker 1: It's like and I'm like, oh my god, how do
- 44:23Speaker 1: I turn this off? Now back to the main point.
- 44:25Speaker 1: If you get in this Noah radio, they're not that expensive.
- 44:29Speaker 1: For these are really good to have. The idea that
- 44:33Speaker 1: remember we all carry transistor radios and you know we
- 44:36Speaker 1: moved from transistor radios to carry smartphones with Spotify and
- 44:39Speaker 1: you know, our our web stream or whatnot. The thing
- 44:42Speaker 1: is having a transistor or having this this Noah radio
- 44:46Speaker 1: is even more important because again, in a in a
- 44:49Speaker 1: situation where stations are maybe knocked off the air, you're
- 44:53Speaker 1: gonna be able to receive these alerts and that's super important.
- 44:57Speaker 1: And it's not just weather. This is this is I mean, yes,
- 45:00Speaker 1: you're listening to the Noah weather broadcast, but these are
- 45:04Speaker 1: literally the federally licensed stations that are typically just simply
- 45:11Speaker 1: uh letting you know what the weather forecast is. But
- 45:14Speaker 1: they are designed to be for all alerts. So if
- 45:18Speaker 1: there was World War three breaks out, boom, you're gonna
- 45:21Speaker 1: hear it on that channel. You remember, four years ago
- 45:24Speaker 1: we all started getting into shortwave. Oh and you know
- 45:28Speaker 1: we got shortwave amateur radio. Sean was the only one
- 45:30Speaker 1: that was successful about it. Sean I talked about I
- 45:33Speaker 1: got my license, I have my you know, yeah, I
- 45:36Speaker 1: gotta end up get my.
- 45:37Speaker 2: License, and I caught my radio. I catch up.
- 45:39Speaker 1: I have not tuned in and listened. I get the
- 45:42Speaker 1: notifications that they're doing stuff. I just haven't.
- 45:45Speaker 3: And you know, it's it's interesting because this is actually
- 45:49Speaker 3: irrelevant to today. When when I got you guys into it,
- 45:53Speaker 3: I was talking about the linked repeaters on GMRS, right,
- 45:56Speaker 3: So the smaller band of frequencies available to more peace
- 46:00Speaker 3: both for a lower cost, lower entry barrier. So the
- 46:03Speaker 3: linked repeater system technically was not legal under the SEC rules.
- 46:08Speaker 3: So you cannot internet link to GMRS repeaters together. Now
- 46:12Speaker 3: ham radio stuff is different because that's all licensed banding
- 46:14Speaker 3: and there's more available. And you got your technician right, yeah,
- 46:17Speaker 3: I have nuh general. So I went I went to
- 46:20Speaker 3: two levels up. So I was talking to people all
- 46:25Speaker 3: the time throughout Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Wisconsin and stuff
- 46:30Speaker 3: because we linked a couple guys in this group linked
- 46:34Speaker 3: repeters together in these areas and created this wide network
- 46:37Speaker 3: of lenked gm REST repeaters. The problem was, again it
- 46:41Speaker 3: wasn't legal, So the FCC said, hey, we don't read dearly.
- 46:44Speaker 3: We don't want you guys doing this anymore, so they
- 46:46Speaker 3: shut down that. So I went from talking daily to nobody.
- 46:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Yeah, so I kind of got lost interest in the
- 46:54Speaker 3: GMRS side of stuff. There was another group down in
- 46:57Speaker 3: Georgia called Northern Georgia gm OR group that was still
- 47:02Speaker 3: doing this and linking up multiple repeaters until like earlier
- 47:06Speaker 3: in August, and the SEC contact of the guy who
- 47:09Speaker 3: was leading this said, you've got thirty days to figure
- 47:12Speaker 3: it out. You can respond to this letter whether or
- 47:14Speaker 3: not you're going to take your link repeaters just offline.
- 47:17Speaker 3: And now they're fighting back saying we've been doing it
- 47:21Speaker 3: long enough that we should be able to keep doing it,
- 47:24Speaker 3: and they're trying to They basically trying to commandeer most
- 47:27Speaker 3: of the Georgia Northern Georgia area and maybe spread around
- 47:31Speaker 3: there a little bit, right, But they're taking the GMRS,
- 47:34Speaker 3: which is also if you go to Walmart or whatever
- 47:36Speaker 3: and buy those blister pack radios. GMRS uses the same
- 47:41Speaker 3: frequency channel plan as the FRS radios Family Radio Service.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Like when you think of FRS, you're thinking of those
- 47:48Speaker 1: as cheap little walkie talkies.
- 47:50Speaker 3: There's twenty two channels that they can talk on, and
- 47:54Speaker 3: they're limited to like a half a WAT per channel
- 47:56Speaker 3: or something. GMRS allows you to expand on that to
- 47:59Speaker 3: a higher powered and actually use the repeater function. It's
- 48:03Speaker 3: like instead of a single tower, instead of a simplex, right,
- 48:08Speaker 3: you're doing a duplex. And people are abusing that at
- 48:14Speaker 3: those levels, and it's interfering with FRS the ability for
- 48:18Speaker 3: other people because now they're connecting. Now they're connected through
- 48:21Speaker 3: multiple states and multiple regions, so those frequencies are being
- 48:24Speaker 3: used at a higher capacity and people are complaining that, well,
- 48:28Speaker 3: I can't use my f for US radios because we're
- 48:30Speaker 3: linked up and we're hearing the repeaters and we're hearing
- 48:33Speaker 3: all this stuff. So there, it's an active case if
- 48:36Speaker 3: you're interested in looking it up, if you're a hand
- 48:37Speaker 3: radio users.
- 48:40Speaker 1: The Green Valley Amateur Radio Operators Club. They'll be able
- 48:43Speaker 1: to get more infold at that too. A new game
- 48:45Speaker 1: I'm playing. You know, I played tune Blast for years.
- 48:49Speaker 1: I'm at level like over twelve thousand, right, and I
- 48:52Speaker 1: love it.
- 48:52Speaker 3: It's over nine thousand.
- 48:55Speaker 1: It's gotten to the point where it's like, yeah, so
- 48:59Speaker 1: I've moved to this game and I don't know why.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Remember I try Bubble Pop for a while on your smartphones.
- 49:05Speaker 1: This one is called a Maze dot Go.
- 49:08Speaker 2: And what doesn't exist, well, it's it's the app. It's
- 49:12Speaker 2: the game is called You find it on your.
- 49:13Speaker 1: App store, no website, but you just move little arrows
- 49:18Speaker 1: and try and build yourself out of a shape or
- 49:21Speaker 1: a box.
- 49:22Speaker 2: I hate the ads. There's ads there too long for
- 49:26Speaker 2: the same.
- 49:27Speaker 1: The company makes another product called something Match, but it's
- 49:31Speaker 1: still kind of fun. If you want to give it
- 49:33Speaker 1: a try. It's called again, a Maze dot Go. Look
- 49:36Speaker 1: for it in your app store if you want to
- 49:37Speaker 1: give it a try and try it out. Somebody somebody
- 49:40Speaker 1: also put this in here in the show notes. There's
- 49:44Speaker 1: this thing called hop dot Earth. Yeah we have it's interesting.
- 49:48Speaker 2: We will take a break, we come back.
- 49:49Speaker 1: I want to tell that story about this past Saturday,
- 49:52Speaker 1: but we'll do that when we come back with tech
- 49:54Speaker 1: talk Radio.
- 49:54Speaker 2: I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Sean de Weird, and I'm justin.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Let me send us an email tech guys at tech
- 49:59Speaker 1: talk video dot com.
- 50:01Speaker 2: We'll be right back and now back to tech talk Radio.
- 50:05Speaker 1: It's past Saturday. I got a phone call that somebody's
- 50:09Speaker 1: computer was not working. The fans weren't spinning and it
- 50:14Speaker 1: wasn't coming up, and so I said, okay, well you
- 50:17Speaker 1: want to bring it over. And they brought it over
- 50:19Speaker 1: and they left it while they went back to work.
- 50:21Speaker 1: They had to work on that Saturday. And I opened
- 50:24Speaker 1: up the case and it was like a.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Carpet of dust.
- 50:30Speaker 1: The CPU and I'll put a picture of it on
- 50:32Speaker 1: our blog blog dot tech talk radio dot com. The
- 50:35Speaker 1: CPU cooler that takes you know, the CPU and cools.
- 50:39Speaker 1: It has a fan on top of it. That fan
- 50:42Speaker 1: would not move and it was like in between the
- 50:46Speaker 1: blades was nothing but dust.
- 50:49Speaker 2: There was a fan on the front of the case.
- 50:50Speaker 1: It was an old HP that also had c's and
- 50:54Speaker 1: there was dust inside of that.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Kind of living conditions are they?
- 50:57Speaker 1: I don't know, I asked, I said, you know, it's
- 51:00Speaker 1: she said it was on the floor. They keep it
- 51:02Speaker 1: on the floor, they have a dog. The room gets
- 51:05Speaker 1: kind of hot, and I will no wonder because your
- 51:08Speaker 1: computer's heating up the room. Basically, so I was able
- 51:12Speaker 1: to luckily remove the fan. The fan still spun. Once
- 51:16Speaker 1: I got the dust carpet out of there, got the
- 51:19Speaker 1: CPU itself, the cooler cleaned of all the dust.
- 51:22Speaker 2: The other fan was a no go. That one just
- 51:25Speaker 2: would not spin.
- 51:26Speaker 1: I sprayed some electric contact cleaner in the bearing hole
- 51:29Speaker 1: was able to get it to move. But I thought,
- 51:31Speaker 1: you know what, I have another fan. I'll just put
- 51:33Speaker 1: that in there. And they were good to go, but
- 51:35Speaker 1: had had to do a pretty good cleaning. It's a
- 51:37Speaker 1: good reminder if you keep your computer on your floor,
- 51:40Speaker 1: you have animals, cats, dogs, whatever, make sure you give
- 51:45Speaker 1: it a good cleaning once in a while. Sean, you
- 51:47Speaker 1: showed me that that blower that is good for getting
- 51:50Speaker 1: dust out of computers. I have the same one, but
- 51:54Speaker 1: I also have a vacuum that.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Works pretty good for you. It's these are great. Where
- 52:00Speaker 2: do you get that? You get that on Amazon? Right? Yeah?
- 52:02Speaker 3: Amazon. It's called a a at ng or a ng.
- 52:07Speaker 3: I don't know. It's a Chinese brain.
- 52:09Speaker 2: Right, But it works great.
- 52:11Speaker 3: It's powerful. The kids love playing it and blowing in
- 52:13Speaker 3: their hair.
- 52:14Speaker 1: I mean, you're gonna clean dust off of cpu fan
- 52:17Speaker 1: or a dust fan or whatever. Just make sure you
- 52:20Speaker 1: hold down that fan and make sure it's off. Don't
- 52:23Speaker 1: be don't know what it's on. Yeah, but make sure
- 52:26Speaker 1: you hold that fan before you give that a spray.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Same thing goes with a canned air. A lot of
- 52:31Speaker 1: people like to use canned air. That can blow too
- 52:34Speaker 1: much stuff. If you get too close, you get liquid
- 52:36Speaker 1: on it. I recommend what Sean had gotten and that
- 52:39Speaker 1: just works out great. All right, So hop earth you
- 52:42Speaker 1: mentioned that before the break? Can you quickly tell us
- 52:45Speaker 1: what this is all about?
- 52:46Speaker 2: Yeah, apparently it is.
- 52:48Speaker 4: Kind of like a video game inside of a web browser.
- 52:50Speaker 4: It generates roads and terrain in real time using open
- 52:54Speaker 4: street map and satellite elevation data, letting you drive through
- 52:58Speaker 4: locations almost any in the world without downloading anything. So
- 53:03Speaker 4: you kind of just jump in. You pick your location,
- 53:05Speaker 4: your person parachutes down to the roads, and it generates
- 53:09Speaker 4: the roads and it generates the map, and you're kind
- 53:12Speaker 4: of placed where you want to be, and then you
- 53:15Speaker 4: can summon a car get in the car and start
- 53:18Speaker 4: driving around and it's kind of like old school GTA.
- 53:21Speaker 2: Or that's really loud. Yeah.
- 53:25Speaker 4: I think he's driving a Tesla Model Y right there too.
- 53:28Speaker 4: You're listening to it is like death metal. It's whatever
- 53:32Speaker 4: death E d M or something. I got into the car.
- 53:35Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 53:36Speaker 1: Yeah, anyway, that's kind of cool.
- 53:38Speaker 2: It's free.
- 53:38Speaker 4: It's free to play. Hop dot earth is the website.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Hop dot Earth. Hop dot Earth.
- 53:45Speaker 1: Love the music, although i'd have probably have the Engelbert
- 53:48Speaker 1: maybe some Tom Jones playing while I'm driving down the
- 53:50Speaker 1: street as I drive usual well to.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Please don't ever do that again. All Right, that's it
- 53:59Speaker 2: for this week talk Radio. I'm Andy Taylor, I'm Shot
- 54:02Speaker 2: the Weird, and I'm Tom Jones. We'll see you next
- 54:05Speaker 2: week talk about as usual.
