- 1:15press lanes because I don't know about you, but I never get off when
- 1:19I'm supposed to. It's like, on thirty five coming up, I'm in
- 1:23the text press lane because six thirty five was six thirty five, and I
- 1:27try to go thirty five north and it's like, hey, text press is
- 1:30smooth sailing, so I take it. But then it doesn't let me to
- 1:34get off at Round Grove Rove to get to Daddy Rabbits Pub. Yeah,
- 1:37so I end up in corinth I may currently live on an island, but
- 1:42I still know where stuff is here and I know when I'm not in the
- 1:46right suburb. So well, let's go around Dent and come all the way
- 1:49back down. But we made it. You made it. Thank you guys
- 1:51for being here on a Friday and on the holiday week. We appreciate that
- 1:56we've got I believe everyone signed up for the giveaway. Stickers here will play
- 2:00a couple of games coming up to win a couple of Treehouse Roade cups.
- 2:05We've also got strategically placed around the bar, including the bathroom. Guys,
- 2:09there's one in the bathroom. If you're being you can scan the QR code
- 2:13to donate to the foundation. One of the questions we get the most since
- 2:16we've been off the radio is is the foundation still going? Yes, it
- 2:20absolutely is, And I'm glad that you have to ask that, because if
- 2:23you're asking that, that means we haven't had to write a check. Reason.
- 2:28So what I've always told people, well, we've always told people it's
- 2:30an honor to do it, even though we hate to do it, but
- 2:34we're able to do it because of your donation. So we thank you for
- 2:36that. So you can donate to that, and then we have a few
- 2:38of the cups that will be available for sale as well through Venmo. But
- 2:45the rode cups. Are as we get tongue tied for the Road Cup,
- 2:50a portion of that goes into the foundation for sale as well. So that'll
- 2:53be happening today. So thank you for coming. Texpress screwed me up,
- 2:58but we got here. DJ got here for this CBS stolen broadcast equipment.
- 3:01We appreciate that. I'm pretty sure I've already cleared it with your boss,
- 3:05DJ. I don't want to I don't want to wait around anymore. So
- 3:10the last time Ros was on the show, he started, we found out
- 3:13something new about Trey that we didn't know. And we've been sitting on it
- 3:16for like two weeks, and I'm not gonna waste any more time. We
- 3:20have to get to it. When did you get kicked by a horse tray?
- 3:28Multiple times? Actually? Was it a female horse? So the first
- 3:32time, yes, yes, the first time. I was told over and
- 3:38over again, do not get in the stall with the mayor and her full
- 3:45So do you ever watched National Geographic? The one thing you don't do,
- 3:47don't mess with mama's But I think I was. I was young. Anyways,
- 3:52I jumped in there and by the like, I took a kick right
- 3:58here. But I was climbing up the side of the stall and didn't get
- 4:03me like, didn't break a rib, just just bruised real bad. But
- 4:09didn't you have years of like shoulder problems The same sign is that the that's
- 4:15from football and drunkenness. Um. Yes, not to kick from a horse,
- 4:18no, okay, gotcha, And I just love the uh No,
- 4:23it was still time after time, and after getting kicked by a horse and
- 4:27hurting like hell, I still got my ass whip, I had to go
- 4:29get belt by belt. So and then the second time I was My father
- 4:38loved to go to in White right, Texas. They have trade days,
- 4:41kind of like a mini canton, and uh he would always go and pick
- 4:45up on all sorts of things. And one time he came home with a
- 4:47pony. His name was Wildfire. And this is the best story. It
- 4:53was a little little Shetland pony. He really didn't think he had that much.
- 4:57I'm so much better. First of all, what's the name of the
- 5:01town? White right? Texts? White right? Yes, all right,
- 5:04I just wanted about sixty was worth of Dallas. That's wrong, don't answer
- 5:15that. Yeah, yeah, I was gonna say that you got a Shetland
- 5:19pony? Yeah, and um, now really quick, did did your dad
- 5:24buy you the Shetland pony? Or did he? Did your dad bring home
- 5:27the Shetland pony? Dad brought home the Shetland Was there alcohol involved? No,
- 5:30this was a sober purchase. Yeah. He there's something about going to
- 5:34you know, these markets, and I mean that's how we ended up with
- 5:38one hundred and twenty chickens and goats and peacocks and everything else. But yeah,
- 5:43he came home with a little Shetland pony named Wildfire, and all Fire
- 5:46was what was true to his name. Yeah, and uh, so I
- 5:50decided that I would try to get on the horse and ride him bare back,
- 5:55bad bad, just like you said ride Please tell me you were a
- 5:59child? Yeah, okay, because if that was an adult decision, well
- 6:03that might have been his reason to stop drinking. And if it had been,
- 6:10probably a good idea yea. So I'm not sure if you know this,
- 6:14Raj, or if anyone else here is completely aware of this. You
- 6:16know a trey and having known each other for many, many years, but
- 6:18Trey is a product of two vastly different childhood upbringings. Because we all North
- 6:25North Texas pretty well, so the area where Trey is talking about is Leonard,
- 6:30Texas. Right, So, Leonard, Texas is out there. It's
- 6:32out like past south Forward. I mean, it's it's all pasture. It's
- 6:35it's a town of I think it's up to two thousand people. It's grown
- 6:40from sixteen hundred to two thousand people over the last forty years. That's a
- 6:43hell of a boom. Yeah, that's it. And before he lived in
- 6:46Leonard, Trey lived in Highland Park. So imagine the shock of parents getting
- 6:55divorced not being anywhere near the weirdest thing that happened in the matter in the
- 6:59matter of a couple of weeks. So Trey goes from Highland Park, Texas
- 7:01to Leonard, Texas and promptly gets kicked by two horses. Um, and
- 7:09is did did you already know Belt at this point? Oh? Yeah,
- 7:12okay, So I didn't move out there until I was like twelve. Yeah,
- 7:15so, and they moved out there when I was about seven. So
- 7:19yeah, there was you know, I had the back and forth for a
- 7:21while, just you know, custody weekends and everything else. But oh yeah,
- 7:26I Belt and I were old friends at that point. Belt and I
- 7:30continue to be friends until the day. I was probably fifteen or sixteen,
- 7:34and and I said, my father was a big guy. And uh,
- 7:39but when I quit crying, when he spanked me with belt and whipped me,
- 7:44then it became not fun for him. And so Belt got retired like
- 7:48cattle retired or just he just got to hang out. Yeah, he's just
- 7:53got to just enjoy the wall. I like to imagine Belt having a retirement,
- 7:59like like the end of an episode of Fall Guy. He's just sitting
- 8:01there and in a tub overlooking just beautiful bucolic scene, Buckle hanging over the
- 8:07back of so apparently what I imagine, it's very accurate. Where where does
- 8:13Belt reside? Now? You know? That was really one of the great
- 8:16mysteries. When Dad passed away, we looked for it and I do not
- 8:22know. See that's where in my head, like that all happens, and
- 8:24Belt just walking down the road. Belt probably got lonely and found another family
- 8:28where he would be of use, like the Incredible Hulk where he just hit
- 8:31hiking and just looking back at his house is like those were the good days.
- 8:33I actually like I like yours better because in my head it was high
- 8:37it was highway to heaven. Oh, good one. Yeah, but I
- 8:39think I think the Hulk works better because it's looks like deceiving belt. Belt
- 8:45looks like a belt until you make him angry. Yeah, then you won't
- 8:48like him when you're Yeah, I was thinking more Rambo. But yeah,
- 8:50that's I think it's important that it's it's a it's a fluid legend. But
- 8:58it is interesting how you never found it, because when when a parent passes,
- 9:01you have to go through all their stuff and you're thinking, hey,
- 9:03I wonder where that one thing is. But it is very troubling that Belt
- 9:07is missing. That means Belt is out there somewhere, just waiting for a
- 9:13true crime podcast to pick it up, to be the center of attention of
- 9:18a true crime podcast. That's what I mean. I don't I don't think
- 9:20Belt's ready to host. No, I don't. We looked at and that
- 9:26was I don't know, knowing my daddy. Hell, he could have given
- 9:30it away, you know, like some young couple starting out and he just
- 9:33having anything here, you know, solid advice. My boy turned out,
- 9:39Okay, here you go. That is that is really just troubling and traumatic.
- 9:48Oh I would have loved that if Belt was in the will you know,
- 9:52like he got the house. It was just Belt's house now then the
- 9:58tub moved inside? How how so how did that work? Did when you're
- 10:03dead unfortunately passed? It's just everything just go to you type of situation.
- 10:05Or did Belt actually get it all? I think Belt my stepmom split it,
- 10:11okay, and that's all Belt is able to afford the nomadic life there
- 10:15lives now, gotcha? Okay? It really is like see like like my
- 10:20family, we had the paddle so you had you had a named Belt.
- 10:24We just had a you know, like the uh, the old ball and
- 10:26string paddle game that you would play. Yeah, so the one like a
- 10:31ping pong paddle. Yeah, it was like a ping pong paddle but on
- 10:33horse roids. So it was I don't know about one. It's two feet
- 10:39thick. Oh lord yeah yeah. And so so if I got in trouble
- 10:43and then it was like you wait right here, Oh no, I know
- 10:46it's gonna happen. But instead of it dead man walking, it was dead
- 10:50man sitting. So I'd sit there on the edge of my bunk bed and
- 10:52then the walk what happened going to the kitchen? Nice and slow? Here
- 10:58the footsteps going away from you the footsteps going away, ever so loud and
- 11:03soft, get to the kitchen, slowly opened the kitchen cabinet door, which
- 11:07of course creaked just a little bit, and if you listen closely, it
- 11:09would say yay, and then the creek to close it, and then the
- 11:16steps would get louder as they returned back to my room, and then the
- 11:22tears flowed. Obviously, Yeah, were your parents like that rag being forced
- 11:28to grow up in Mesquite? Yes? And I think that's punishment enough.
- 11:35But no, I thought I thought I had it bad. And I'm listening
- 11:37to like sad white people stories. I'm like, you guys, are you
- 11:41guys need help? I'm like, you guys need you guys need therapy.
- 11:43No, I mean it was like Indian households is like my dad just very
- 11:48like I helped make them. Now you raise them, and he's just like
- 11:52he was. His whole job was watching the news and being angry. That's
- 11:56all he liked to do. But at least his role was clearly defined,
- 11:58like he wont to watch the news and be mad and drink scotch. And
- 12:01then my mom was in charge, in charge of discipline, and she had
- 12:07she was creative. I wouldn't say there was nothing with belt or a ping
- 12:11pung, there was the extension cord. That's a good one. Yeah,
- 12:13say somebody see people always get excit. I don't know what it is,
- 12:16but people get excited. It's not excited trauma, it's just it. But
- 12:20it's such an efficient way of parenting a child. It just because it's just
- 12:26mobile and you don't have to get off the couch. Like if you want
- 12:28to, if you want to whoop somebody, you can just be sitting there
- 12:31and you can. It's got the heavy end and so you can just kind
- 12:33of launch it and it just comes right back. So your mom was like
- 12:37Indiana Jone but with an extension Oh, she was just wildly lazy. And
- 12:41so she doesn't wanted to sit on the couch and watch Wheel of Fortune and
- 12:46beat ass and so like that was just it's like and she's like watching Vanas
- 12:50spend the letters and send that thing out that way, And it didn't matter
- 12:52where you moved in a twenty four foot radius. She got you. So
- 12:56like we didn't have anything creative like that. I did live next door to
- 13:00Uh these kids, Uh they could be listeners. I don't know the Smitherman's
- 13:03and they had the paddle, they had the what the holes drilled into it?
- 13:07Yeah, so with a good whistle sound. Yeah yeah. So does
- 13:11that mean their dad was a coach? He was, he was assistant principal.
- 13:13He was. He was a reverend. Uh he was. He was
- 13:16pretty close. Okay, he was. He was a man of God apparently.
- 13:20But then they had one next to it that had like broken glass on
- 13:24it and it said you, like, you know how that says in case
- 13:26of emergency use you break the glass. Oh, I thought he meant there
- 13:28was glass on the paddle. There was, and it says in case of
- 13:31emergency used. And I was like, oh, the glass is already broken,
- 13:35like we figured that out. I'm like, these kids are not healthy,
- 13:37like this is not. This is not And then I when when I
- 13:41would get the extension quarter or anything like. The rolling pin was also a
- 13:46good one. I don't know if anybody ever got I don't know how country
- 13:48you guys are, like with the India, like they have that we make
- 13:50the bread at home to the rolling pin. So that's a that's a different
- 13:54level of beating when you can like get beat with the rolling pin. That
- 13:56also makes the food that you have to eat later. I'm like, oh,
- 14:03those are definitely my tears. Yeah, I can take that's so good.
- 14:07That makes these lentils pop. As being forced to eat lentils wasn't bad
- 14:13enough on it's all right vegetarian, you know, my my dad vegetarian till
- 14:16the day died. My mom kind of ate everything except for uh, she
- 14:20didn't she didn't eat beef. And so when she found out I was outed
- 14:24by my aunt as as a beef beef And there's no there's no metaphor there.
- 14:28It's nope, Nope. That was just like a legitimate like my I
- 14:33was at I was on a date. I was at Chilies, uh in
- 14:37Uptown and the fancy chilies. Yeah, if that's what you want to call
- 14:39it. Uh, And I was, I was on a date and I
- 14:43got the bacon cheeseburger and uh as uh. As i'm as it comes to
- 14:48my table, my aunt is walking by and uh, she's like, so
- 14:52how are you. It's nice to see you, and she's just staring at
- 14:54the food. She's not even looking at me. I get so nice to
- 14:58see you, and I was like, oh, this bitch, she's gonna
- 15:03she's gonna give it all. She's gonna give it all away. And I'm
- 15:05like, I'm like, I thought it would distract her by introducing the white
- 15:09girl that I was on a date with, like maybe that would deflect.
- 15:11But she's like straight at the burger. And then the next day my mom
- 15:15I went over for lunch and my Mom's like, so, how was last
- 15:16night? And I was like I was great, Like you had to date.
- 15:20I was like, yeah, what did you guys eat? I was
- 15:22like, well, she had the chicken salar vitty healthy, so nice,
- 15:26vitty very good proteins, vitty nice. What did you have? And I
- 15:30was like, I know that bitch called and I was like, well,
- 15:33I just I just gotta tell you I had the man. This is gonna
- 15:37be tough. I had the I had a bacon cheese. But it's like,
- 15:41oh my god, does everybody know her? You were gay? We
- 15:54are a daddy rabbit. Let's welcome into the treehouse. Rodney Anderson his phone
- 16:08number nine seven fifty two hundred. His website, with tons of great information,
- 16:14is of course Rodney Anderson dot com. So Rodney, I know we
- 16:17talk a lot about credit card debt. So if someone is sitting there and
- 16:19that credit card debt is piling up and they're having difficulty seeing any end in
- 16:25sight. What are some signs that someone needs to call you for help for
- 16:29a cash our refinance. Well, I call it credit card roulette game.
- 16:33And what you're basically doing is you max out a credit card, then you
- 16:37go get another credit card, and then you max it out, and then
- 16:38you go get another credit card and you max it out. And people do
- 16:42this all the time, and then what happens dan then they go out and
- 16:45take consolidation loans out to consolidate their credit card debt into another loan. And
- 16:52it's crazy right now because the number one thing that brings down people's credit scores
- 16:56is credit card debt. The credit barrels change geolgorithm like six or six months
- 17:02ago or nine months ago, and they put more of an emphasis on credit
- 17:06card debt. And we're having people call us for cash outs. And some
- 17:08people are waiting too long. Their credit card debt is mounted up and their
- 17:12credit scores have gone down too much. So we tell people, you have
- 17:15good to excellent credit, you're sick and tired of being in credit card debt,
- 17:19and you're just making the minimum payments and you're watching your balances go up
- 17:25or you're consolidating them, and high interest are high payments on the credit card
- 17:30consolidation. Pick up the phone and give us a call, and let's talk
- 17:33about a cash out refinance today. So what is the average credit card rate
- 17:38right now? Twenty four and a half percent, and when the Federal Reserve
- 17:42raises rates, it's going to continue to go up. And you had a
- 17:47client real quick, I'll say this. I had a client told me about
- 17:48a week ago and they said, well, we don't want to lose our
- 17:51four percent rate on our hundred thousand our mortgage, but we have one hundred
- 17:55thousand dollars in credit card debt. And I said, your average rates twenty
- 17:56four percent. I said, if you take the four thousand and the twenty
- 18:00eight four thousand that you're paying in the credit cards, I said, you're
- 18:04you're paying twenty eight thousand dollars of interest. We consolid into a cash out
- 18:08refinance and now there their interest is only going to be about fourteen thousand,
- 18:12five hundred dollars a year. So they cut down their interests find fifty percent.
- 18:17So that's the sort of thing that Rodney can do for you, But
- 18:19in order for that to happen, you got to give him and his team
- 18:22a call nine seven two nine eight five fifty two hundred nine seven two nine
- 18:26eight five fifty two hundred or of course, Rodney Anderson dot com business online
- 18:30at Treehouse on Air dot com. You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us
- 18:47online at Treehouse on air dot com. That is correct, you are listening
- 18:56and visually enjoying the Treehouse here at Daddy Rabbits bub and Lowbut I would like
- 19:06to point out that I did not have to pipe in extra crowd noise just
- 19:08to make that sound good for anyone that couldn't make it physically to the show.
- 19:11That's actually a whole lot of people in this building. Thank you guys
- 19:15for coming. Uh We're gonna play dumbass Jeopardy here in just a minute for
- 19:18one of these uh Treehouse podcast roadie cups. Before we do that, I
- 19:25want to again thank everyone for coming, and also to prove momentarily that I
- 19:30I don't know if it's really proof or not, but so many wonderful people
- 19:33have come out saying hi today. People we know friends, family, people
- 19:37have brought gifts, we appreciate those and a slight piece of proof that I
- 19:41don't actually live in Oklahoma. Just just just a hang off, just a
- 19:47just a very brief story. Yeah, Saint Tulsa. Yes, so,
- 19:55a handful of years ago, while drinking out a bar in Saint Tulsa,
- 20:00twenty two hundred miles away, Tara and I were hanging out this bar,
- 20:03splace called Woodies, and we ended up meeting someone because everyone in the bar
- 20:07from Texas happened to be there, was like six, five or six people
- 20:11and it's like, oh, roll from Texas. Yeah, so we ought
- 20:12to do a shot together. So we do the shotsky thing all the Texas
- 20:15people do one, and turns out we end up making friends with this semi
- 20:19crazy Texan who did a shot with us at the bar. Her name is
- 20:22Sally. Come to find out, after we exchanged Facebook, you know,
- 20:26friend requests and things. Turns out Sally was from North Texas had moved to
- 20:33Saint John, not St. Tulsa, And she messaged me back and she's
- 20:37like, oh my god, you're that Dan on the alley. My first
- 20:45thought was, what do you mean that one? Is there another one?
- 20:48Is there another one running around doing really bad things. I'm gonna ware of
- 20:52what have you heard? Exactly? So, and she's actually here today because
- 20:56there she is High Sally, So she still has a tide in North Texa.
- 21:03She still has friends and family here. So she actually was moving back
- 21:06here for a little while. So a little piece of my home is now
- 21:08in my old home, so high Salad. So see see I don't live
- 21:15here. Yeah, because you couldn't have met her untilsa, I didn't.
- 21:18What is that it's to move? All right? If you were driving,
- 21:22I'll just do it. I'll do it during the show. I don't care
- 21:23if you're driving an Infinity Q fifty license plate rs N one zero seven two.
- 21:29Would you please move your vehicle? You're blocking to children who need to
- 21:32get home. No, seriously, you'll get to her. No, really,
- 21:36you will get towed. It's kids. Is that you one of my
- 21:41one of my people. Don't let anyone tell you that this is not a
- 21:48full service show. We do it all. You can't you can't bring you
- 21:52can't bring Indian people anywhere. Look at you. It's a one minutes one
- 21:56minimum. That's the one maximum. That's all it could be. All right,
- 21:59let's jump into dumb Ass Jeopardy. So this is one that we have
- 22:03not played. I'm not sure we've ever really played it in this in this
- 22:07version, in this form. So the way this game is going to go
- 22:10is, I'm going to ask you questions. So you guys are our first
- 22:12five contestants. I may have to draw more because if we're going to see
- 22:15how many in a row you can get incorrect. So the whole point of
- 22:19the game is to get as many incorrect questions in a row as humanly possible.
- 22:25And roj is going to help us here here is He's our van of
- 22:26White today. All right, So as we go through this, just keep
- 22:32in mind we're going to start with are you Todd? You're Todd? Right?
- 22:36All right? Thank you Todd. So Todd, we're going to start
- 22:38with you. Just keep in mind the whole point of dumb ass Jeopardy is
- 22:44whatever question I ask you, don't you dare give a correct answer? Every
- 22:48answer you give has to be incorrect. All right? Are you ready?
- 22:52Are you ready? All right? Well, now you're already lost, are
- 22:56you Uh? That was the wrong answer. So unfortunately that actually is a
- 23:03wrong answer. So that's got some sorry. That's how it goes we have
- 23:07some nice parting gifts for you. All right. So next up is Royal.
- 23:11It's a hard game. It's unfortunate, all right, now, yeah

- 25:53dog ever licked your balls where you were having sex with someone? Yes?
- 26:00Hang out? Now I had to think about that was Okay, you're doing

- 28:11Yes, well, I'm sorry I didn't hear the answer. Yes, yes,
- 28:15okay, yeah, how is bluffy? That was his taint not the
- 28:21dog. That may be the next question. Can you believe we got fired
- 28:27from our radio jobs? No? Are you a good person? No?
- 28:34Did you just lose dumb Ass Jeopardy? Yes? Hang on, diddy and
- 28:41yes, no, no, that is correct. Good Jack, you won.
- 28:52Congratulations? You go for for other big roundable Pause to this guy here?
- 29:00What's that? Oh? Do you want to box for it? Is
- 29:03it an empty owner? Is there another one in there? There's another one
- 29:06in here? Oh, we'll just let him take that. We'll find a
- 29:07box for it later. And for the for those two that did not get
- 29:11a chance to actually be like if he didn't grab earlier a sticker, please
- 29:14take another one. I know it's not the same, but it's better than
- 29:17nothing. So congratulations, Charles. That is uh. That is the debut
- 29:26of Dumbass Jeopardy on this show, and it might be the last, you
- 29:30never know, but at least you got to witness it here in person.
- 29:33Now, there's also something very very important that we need to cover, and
- 29:37that is did Trey actually tell us how he got kicked by a Shetland pony.
- 29:42He did not, right, he didn't right? Now, this is
- 29:47uh yeah, we have we have we have questions, tray. So so
- 29:49the big horse that kicked you, we got that. That was you trying
- 29:52to jump into the pen with the horse and in her baby, which was
- 29:56bad. And you learned the very I did jump in the and and quickly
- 30:00jumped ye back out. I don't think you jumped back out. I think
- 30:03she kicked you out. It's it was a split second away from being a
- 30:08really bad story. But well it's a good story now, okay. So
- 30:12now now with the Shetland pony. How how what's the name of the pony?
- 30:18Oh? It's a wild fire, um, because I was trying to
- 30:23ride Wildfire bare back, and you know, little Shetland pony's got a kick
- 30:29to him, and so he bucked me off and then he you know,
- 30:32added insult to injury and kicked me when I was getting up. So you
- 30:37tried to rodeo as Shetland pony a host at some point and I'm just looking
- 30:42I'm just trying to look at the dimensions. But at some point, if
- 30:45you get hit by kicked by a Shetland pony, aren't like you're helping right
- 30:53right? It might like the just how small they are? Like you,
- 30:56how to how old were you? That was I probably ten, so you're
- 31:02twice at sherln pone. I mean he was dead. Yeah, that can
- 31:06be mean, and how I thought they were like the No, that's you're
- 31:10thinking of like a miniature horse Shetland's you're thinking about the miniature horse at the
- 31:14state fair that you got to give tickets to to see. Yeah, I've
- 31:17done that before. Yeah, that guy. But but isn't isn't that tiny
- 31:18horse like behind you know, isn't it protected with security and stuff? So
- 31:22yeah, so little tiny trays don't come up and try to ride it.
- 31:26Yes, Yeah, I was just wondering like how because yeah, I'm just
- 31:30wondering about got a friend of mine her her family they're the little people and
- 31:37uh she said that her her dad was the disciplinarian. I'm like, man,
- 31:41if you if you caught an ass weapon, at some point, you're
- 31:45helping from a little person. Yeah, at some point you're helping. So
- 31:48it's same with a shell like if you're you're you. I didn't really I
- 31:51thought it was this thing. Am I wrong? What's the That's not a
- 31:53miniature horse, that is a Shetland pony. No, that's a miniatures your
- 31:56horse. So I'm not white. I don't know these things. I don't,
- 32:00I don't know. Stop using that as any excuse. You grew up
- 32:02in Mesquite some of this Indian cowboys, you guys out or whatever. So
- 32:08so you you wanted the Shetland pony to kick you on some level, I
- 32:13think so, you know, I know, I don't really think I had
- 32:16any desire. I just thought I was gonna be cool because Shetland pony wildfire
- 32:22had long flowing Maine and you know it, just jump on it and hang
- 32:25right around the passion. Is it just, Peter? Does this sound like
- 32:28a really awkward romance? I just try to you know, I don't.
- 32:32I don't want to hear any more of your excuses. As I'm starting to
- 32:35feel really uncomfortable. I'll get some food. You're in the treuse visit us

- 33:23we get to it because you know, it's hot out here, so
- 33:25we don't want to be prolonging some of the inspections that we need to do

- 33:32being a roofer is not nine to five, it's it's it's getting up on

- 35:15I wanted to point out a couple of other friends that have showed up
- 35:17today that you may be somewhat familiar with. We have hiding in the corner,
- 35:23and I said hydro in just a minute ago, I said, hiding
- 35:28loosely, our dear friend, Big Stacy. Yea, So Stacy, me
- 35:38and Trey we go back many, many years. We have stories upon stories
- 35:44about things that happened backstage trash parties that to this day probably couldn't and shouldn't
- 35:49be shared. Maybe sometime, and there's not a microphone in front of me,
- 35:52we might share a few of those. But those were great days.
- 35:55So Stacy, it's great to see you. Love that you're doing well.
- 35:59Also, Jacqueline from from Brooks Plumbing is here, and in addition to being
- 36:07a kick ass plumber Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com, she's also she's also a
- 36:13horse girl, and she wanted you to know Trey that tomorrow she will be
- 36:16washing her twelve hundred pound horse. In case you want to hang out.
- 36:24You have a miniature pony name mister Waffles. No no, no, no
- 36:29no no. I want Trey to meet mister Waffles. Because it's mad enough
- 36:34to say you got kicked by mini horse, but if you say the horse
- 36:36was named mister Waffles. Yeah, I'll go, Dan, but you and
- 36:40Tara have to go too, because let's just make it a trip. Yeah,
- 36:45why does this sound like punishment? All you're saying is I get to
- 36:46come watch you get kicked by horses. That's fine, but I think the
- 36:50mini horse thing will How about Waffles kicked by mister Waffles. I think you
- 36:55might end up with a miniature horse. No, that's not happening. No,
- 37:00no, no, no, Joe, you two cats, two chickens,
- 37:01two cats, two dogs, and eight island chickens. Now, I
- 37:05don't need any mini horse. You absolutely need a mini horse. No,
- 37:08a little mini donkey. I'm gonna drown you in the Caribbean if you keep
- 37:13it up. Also, another friend of ours, in case you noticed here,
- 37:15we have Kaylin from Posina City is joining us. So I'm gonna do
- 37:24you a favor. Kaylin number one, everyone loves you because because you were
- 37:28now associated with Posinas City. But you're also associated with birthdays. Oh yeah,
- 37:34which for some reason these weirdos love. So before we get to a
- 37:37few birthdays, what can you share with us from Posinas City? So we're
- 37:43actually gonna feature two dogs today. I'm doing some a little bit different.
- 37:46Um, I'm going to be talking to all about a couple that we've had
- 37:50for a while. They're two senior dogs. M I'm gonna go ahead and
- 37:52show you a picture of the first one. His name is Pugsley. Real
- 37:59quick, is why you have to come to the road show so you can
- 38:01see pugs leave. I'll give you so. His foster even got him like
- 38:06belittle shirt. Oh I think it's safe to say this is my favorite pugs
- 38:10Yeah. Oh he's thank you, thank you, thank you. Like six
- 38:15people got that there. But he's about fifteen pounds. We don't know if
- 38:22he's good with kids. He's super low energy, so we're really looking for
- 38:25somebody who can adopt that. I was really looking for a cuddle buddy.
- 38:29He's great with other dogs, not only the dogs in his household. His
- 38:32foster, Crystal, was saying that he loves the neighbor dog too, so
- 38:37he's he's just a giant cuddler. He's very smart as well, so he
- 38:42knows come, shake, leave it, stay, and he has learned too
- 38:45high five. Oh yeah. Now, I don't know if y'all have seen
- 38:52like the viral TikTok video of the baby frenchie who kind of like chirps at
- 38:55their owner, like kind of gives a little bad attune that. Yeah,
- 38:59so he does that. He definitely is um. He's very sweet, but
- 39:01he's he's a little sassy. He's opinionated, so he will talk to you.
- 39:08Is he like, like when you say opinionated, we're talking politics or
- 39:12just life lessons in general? Is it like a relationship advice dog? You
- 39:15know, you've got to ask him. I don't know how it feels about
- 39:17Texas politics. Neither do we know how old is he. We think he's
- 39:23about ten. He's only about fifteen pounds. So if you're not like super
- 39:29familiar with the smaller breeds, typically they can leave live anywhere from fifteen to
- 39:31twenty years. So so he's just in for a chill, cush life at
- 39:36this point. Yeah, well, very nice. Sorry. So that is
- 39:38Pugsley. And if you want more information on Pugsy and can go to Pause
- 39:40in the City dot org photos that you can obviously see right now, and
- 39:44then obviously on the website you can get more photos of pugsh My goodness,
- 39:47look at that underbyte. I don't care what you say. Dogs and sweater
- 39:52are adorable. Oh absolutely, that is the oddest thing to be really all
- 39:57in about. Right, Yeah, that was probably the coolest heckle I've ever
- 40:04heard. Hell yeah, all right, can't disagree. Oh look at this
- 40:08guy. This guy's got a story. Oh yeah, So this is Muggsy,
- 40:14Um, Pugsley and Bugsley. Yeah Muggsy sorry, Um, but he's
- 40:20about twenty pounds. He's also senior. Yeah. Is that a cat call
- 40:24for a dog. I'm just saying, like that dog looks like he will
- 40:28scream for you to get off his lawn. That is the most adorable.
- 40:31That's the most adorable thing I've ever seen. Bugsy like us. So,
- 40:38uh he is special needs? Ohne uh he is blind. Um. You
- 40:46know, if you're a long time listen and show, you know Russ had
- 40:50a doctor special needs his death and he said that was the absolute best hock
- 40:52he'd ever had. Um. It really seems like the dogs that are special
- 40:55needs really have a great understanding of like how lucky they are to be where
- 41:00they are when they get rescued. Um. So he's he's no different.
- 41:04But he's a terrier mix. Um, he's he's just he apparently is just
- 41:09happy all the time. His Foster was saying that, um, you know,
- 41:15he just always has a positive outlook. He is super sweet and again
- 41:20just a big cuddler. We think he's about eight years old. Um,
- 41:22so he's like a Terrier Schnauzer mix. He's great with kids, cats and
- 41:27other dogs. Okay cats, another dog, kids, cats and other dog.
- 41:37Um. Obviously, since he's blind, probably not a great dog to
- 41:39have if you have a pool unless you have like a kiddi gate around it.
- 41:43Um. But he's he is like amazing at you know, listening to
- 41:45k mans and again, just a big cuddlers. So if you if you
- 41:50have a home where you think that that is something that could really add to
- 41:52your family, we are really excited to have you meet him. And that
- 41:57is Mugs is also a lable for adoptions. Yes at Pausiti City dot org.
- 42:04Any events coming up for pausing the city that we know of that we
- 42:07need to mention. Yeah, Actually next Saturday, so July the fifteenth,
- 42:10we're gonna be at Holy Grail and Plano. Um that's eight two four zero
- 42:15Preston Road and Plano. We're gonna have drink specials and of course some some
- 42:19I was gonna say puppies. We call them all puppies. We're gonna have
- 42:21puppies and drinks. Come cus, that's a good Saturday. Oh yeah,
- 42:28oh my gosh, I am so sorry. Um t Roger Ryan, you
- 42:32know I started. Um that's what you get when you ride all over the
- 42:36paper and signaling under bill points. Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing. I'm sure we
- 42:39all know her name. She Um. We've talked to her before, but
- 42:44she announced about a week ago that for her birthday, she does not want
- 42:47guests. She wants to have donations to pause in the city, so visit
- 42:52our website pausisty dot org. She's two hundred and thirty two dollars away from
- 42:57her goal. If you want to help us out with that, that'd be
- 42:59all um. But she's here with us, so I wish her a happy
- 43:02early birthday. Yeah, instead of guess she wanted twenty seven dollars or twenty
- 43:07seven people to donate twenty seven dollars because her birthday is the twenty Yes,
- 43:12so um, and I'll go if you want, because because Jaqueline, your
- 43:15birthdays on the twenty seventh, right, and and not to be you know,
- 43:20going for the spotlight too. Much. But Tray's birthdays the day before,
- 43:23so so yeah, so Trey, you'll be held forty nine. So
- 43:30he'll need forty nine kicks from horses, forty nine kicks, forty nine kicks
- 43:36in the nuts from mister Waffles, and we'll cover the two hundred and thirty
- 43:42two right now. No, we won't. We're not doing that. You
- 43:47guys donate that. Well, we'll figure it out off the year. Yeah,
- 43:52in the meantime. So, so that's the event you got cut up.
- 43:55You got you got Muggsley and pugs Muggsy and Pugsley of a for adoption,
- 44:00plus all the other dogs available for adoption and that need fostering through Pause
- 44:06in the City as well. Yes, we're always open to new fosters.
- 44:09Part of what we do we don't take in a ton of dogs all at
- 44:13once because we really focus on the outcomes for the dogs and the fosters.
- 44:16So if you're interested in doing that, please reach out our website. We
- 44:21have a link. It is very easy to get to as soon as you
- 44:22go to that website, Pause and City dot org. It's on the front
- 44:25page, it's on the menu, fill out a form. It doesn't take
- 44:30very long, maybe five minutes, but you know, fill out, fill
- 44:34out our little questionnaire and we will be happy to you know, do what
- 44:39we can to get you set up. We don't want somebody to come in
- 44:43and just foster all the time and get burnt out, because that is part
- 44:45of the problem in the foster community. So, like I said, in
- 44:47focusing on those outcomes for the dogs and the fosters, it is when you
- 44:52can foster, let us know. We will get you set up with a
- 44:54dog, and you know when that dog gets adopted. If you want to
- 44:58foster again, great, if you want to take some time, you know
- 45:00that's hard. A lot of us are foster feels. Jacqueline foster feels good.
- 45:07That just means you kept the dog, nothing wrong, Oh oh yeah,
- 45:08oh yeah, thank you. My family's full of foster feels. So
- 45:14if you are interested in taking a look at that or anything else you can
- 45:16do, We're really focusing on events right now. So some of you may
- 45:21know, and I believe it's in April, we had Vermifest in memory of
- 45:25our good friend Mark Verma If that happened because one of his friends was like,
- 45:30hey, I want to do something centered around helping the dogs for Mark
- 45:32and his name. So we did Vermifest and it was a huge success.
- 45:36We raised like twenty thousand dollars. So if you guys, yeah, so
- 45:43if you would like to help out and you just don't know how, reach
- 45:45out to us. We again, the links are on our website. Reach
- 45:49out, let us know, we can figure something out. We will work
- 45:51with you and and we'll get that tink care of. Very cool, thank
- 45:53you. Kay you want to hang out for birthdays? Sure? I didn't
- 45:57see I'm sorry, Yes, this is not Jeopardy right, No, no,
- 46:00no, all right? Now both got it wrong? Then, well
- 46:06give me a second here because this is part of the live version of the
- 46:08show that I'm not gonna have, you know, exactly slicked out because I
- 46:13added new sound effects to my machine over here this morning, so I'm not
- 46:16familiar with all of them yet, so bear with me. I'll fix this
- 46:20on Monday. Maybe I just need to find where the news sounder is because
- 46:23I haven't played it since September. So I, hang on, I guess
- 46:29I can find this thing. No, that's not it. No, No,
- 46:38that's that's the wrong bank. Hang on, my bad, Uh bardon,

- 47:09right, So nope, that's not it. Oh there's that sweets all right,
- 47:22I gotta do that again. I haven't done it in September. I
- 47:23want birthdays, all right, in case you missed it, Today is Fridade
- 47:38July seventh, twenty twenty three. Time for birthdays. Dylan Sprayberry does anybody
- 47:45know who that is? It's a good thing I found out. Uh did
- 47:49you know they rebooted Teen Wolf? So I guess. He plays Scott's friend
- 47:53Liam on the rebooted TV show Teen Wolf. So anyway, Dylan Sprayberry is
- 47:59twenty five and bas is off to a very lackluster start. He also played
- 48:05Olivia's brother Henry on Light as a Feather. Whatever that is. Moving on.
- 48:08Maddie Marlowe turns twenty eight. She is half of the country duo Maddie
- 48:13and Tay. Okay, so we actually kind of know who that is.
- 48:15That's a good one. Ashton Irwin is twenty nine. She is the drummer
- 48:21from five Seconds of Summer. There's one five seconds a summer fan? Yeah?
- 48:27Or the other part of five seconds of Summer? Is it a five
- 48:30piece band and each one is a second? Don't? That's a genuine question.
- 48:35It's on me being anabled From Fifth Harmony. Ali Brook is thirty.
- 48:39Now this one. You may or may not really recognize her name, but
- 48:44your dad you know. So this is Eve Howson. She is thirty two
- 48:47today. She's an actress. She played maid Marian in the Jamie Fox Robin
- 48:52Hood movie. She was also a nurse named Lucy on the Nick, and
- 48:57she's probably best known as the daughter of Bono from You Two. Here's it.
- 49:04Bono bono, bono bono. I can never keep them straight. It's
- 49:08bono no bono, but it's one end b o. N Oh, it
- 49:13should be bono. On one's the lead Sinner's one means free pro bono,
- 49:19pro bono. I don't know if you I think I think you can be
- 49:22bono ros you're a stand up comedian. You're throwing out Latin read the room,
- 49:28all right, So I'll say you're moving on birthdays. So from Avenge
- 49:30Sevenfold the lead guitarist, Sinister Gates, is forty two, so I didn't
- 49:37look it up because I didn't want to be accurate. Ye, I really
- 49:43hope his name is actually sinister. Yeah, that would be awesome because at
- 49:47that point, do you have to kind of live up to your your namesake,
- 49:51right, Like your name can't be sinister and you grew up to be
- 49:53an accountant or the most badass accountant ever for a point. Yeah, but
- 50:00he does spell it s y n Y s t e R, So I
- 50:04don't know if that's like, that's the actual spelling I supposed to, you
- 50:07know, senators with eyes. So yeah, I don't know. I'm just
- 50:09thinking out loud. Also, figure skater and Olympic silver medallist Michelle Kwan is
- 50:14forty three. So she played Freddy on A Different World, which I used
- 50:20to watch that show back on the day, but it's been so long that
- 50:22I really don't remember most of that cast. But she played Freddy on a
- 50:27Different World, and she's mostly been doing voice acting for cartoons. She was
- 50:31the voice of Penny on An Inspector Gadget, which I think we all know.
- 50:36She is also Susie Carmichael on the Rugrats, Ye and Foxy Love un
- 50:40Drawn together. Cree Summer, that's her name. She is fifty four today
- 50:46and this one this was this one's up Roger's Alley, so where I found
- 50:51the birthdays today. They listed this man as comedy God, which I think
- 50:54is a pretty strong label. Comedy God, and he's fifty seven to If
- 51:00you want, I can give you a more specific clue. That's fifty seven
- 51:02today, Comedy God. It's still alive. I'm guessing yes, seven today,
- 51:08Comedy Gun. Is it Chappelle? It is not Chappelle. Okay,
- 51:15I'm gonna give you the I'm gonna give you the clue, all right,
- 51:19Hot pockets. Oh, Jim Gaffigan, got is correct. Jim Gaffigan is
- 51:22fifty seven today. Turning sixty four today is a man by the name of
- 51:29Billy Campbell. He starred in a show that I can't believe. I actually
- 51:34watched this in college with my roommate. Okay, it was a melodramatic ABC
- 51:38thing. It was Billy Campbell along with Cla Ward, who was popular for
- 51:44thirty something. So I'm a college student, my roommate and I watched this
- 51:46super melodramatic two divorced parents getting it on, and it's like it's sort of
- 51:52like, um, what was it? It's basically two divorce families having to
- 51:57meld together while the parents are off screwing in a car someplay. I watched
- 52:00that in college, Seventh Heaven. If Seventh Heaven was on Skinnamax, then
- 52:09yeah, no, this is the He's from the show Once and Again with
- 52:14Seal Award, but he's probably best known as the Rocketeer. Did you ever
- 52:19see the Rocketier for Once You're Lucky? Okay, so I think the Rocketier
- 52:24was supposed to be a like a good comic book at some point, but
- 52:29he doesn't really have a superpower. It's just a guy with a jetpack in
- 52:32a helmet. Oh wasn't that Wes Anderson that made that movie? You know,
- 52:37I kind of wished he had, but I have no idea who directed.
- 52:39But he was the Rocketeer and he's sixty four today, which I still
- 52:43think is it's not really I think I think they're playing fast and loose with
- 52:46Superhero because again, it's it's a guy with a jetpack and it's an origin
- 52:52story, so half the movie is him flying into a barn. You know,
- 52:54into a side of a barn the Greatest American Hero? Did you see
- 53:00my list? So the guy who sang the theme song to Greatest American Hero
- 53:07today as his birthday. Oh does everybody do? Do you all know the
- 53:12words? Who does? Huh? Well? I don't think what should we?
- 53:20No, I'm not. I don't know it. Believe it or not?
- 53:25Bucking keep going? You started this? Most music you get out of
- 53:32me? Oh my god, we almost had an entire bar singing it.
- 53:37I know that was odd. Do you remember Rockport? And? Uh,
- 53:42we've got two more? Jack Nicholson's wife in The Shining. She also played
- 53:45Olive Oil and Popeye. Shelley Duval is seventy four. Yes, And it's
- 53:51weird because she's got like this Hollywood controversy that I've heard about. It's like,
- 53:53for a number of years people thought that she was suffering from mental illness,
- 53:58that's why she hadn't done anything. But then I also heard the other
- 54:00day, you know, because Internet, that she really doesn't. She's just
- 54:04like, you know what, Kubrick really messed me up. I'm good on
- 54:06movies? Which could you blame her? No, Kubrick, that seems very
- 54:12plausible. Uh And finally, just because I'm gonna be a good boy right
- 54:15now. It's the birthday is not today, It was actually yesterday. Yesterday
- 54:22was my mom's birthday. Hi Mom. So there you have it. That
- 54:29is Birthday's in the Treehouse for today. Along with Calen from Pause in the

- 57:07Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing is running around here somewhere like there. She's at
- 57:10the bar that makes sense and uh, in case you missed it earlier.
- 57:15For her birthday coming up with the twenty seventh, she's doing a little foundation
- 57:19uh, a charity drive for donations to Pause in the City. You can
- 57:23do that at Pausing the City dot org. Can I can I plug my
- 57:28I brought some DVDs of my special um and if h you guys want to
- 57:32If you guys want to take one's wherever you want sking them asked me,
- 57:36Well, I've already asked you. I'm telling them if you want to fine,
- 57:38it's fine. If you guys want to pick one up, I'll fifty
- 57:43percent of it all goes to the foundation. So awesome. Yeah, if
- 57:45you want to pick one up, it's whatever you want to pay. If
- 57:47you had a good time at the show, whatever you feel like giving donates
- 57:51and uh, and we'll give it to the foundation. And where where are
- 57:52those? They're in my backpack right here. Uh, let's see. There
- 57:57we go. It's making sure you you weren't reaching down to pick up a
- 58:00python. Snake ladies over there, No, Susan is here. So,
- 58:05Susan, you raised a ball pythons, you said, so she was,
- 58:08that's your that's your DVD. It's fancy. Yeah, wow is your face
- 58:13on it? Oh? Look at that it is? Yeah, so you
- 58:16can grab that proceeds to go to the foundation. Susan was showing us,
- 58:20so she actually has I guess, because we're all animal lovers here and we
- 58:22all love different types of animals. Susan raises ball pythons. And she came
- 58:25up and couldn't wait to show Trey a photo of a ball python wearing a
- 58:30sweater. Yeah, that's a did not expect that. Yeah, what Our
- 58:35listeners come from all walks of life, but they do. Uh. And
- 58:39I was like, aren't they cold blooded to begin with? So a sweater
- 58:44would be kind of kind of productive the snakes, not the listeners. Yes,
- 58:46that's true, Okay, I just I'd like to make sure we're very
- 58:51clear. I don't want to insult them. They came and showed up and
- 58:53they're eating and drinking here at Daddy Rabbits Pub and Lewisville hanging out. So
- 58:57you got Raj's DVD. Yeah, we got the QR codes up on the
- 59:00walls. If you want to donate to the Listeners Foundation, which is still
- 59:04going strong. We still we still have that running. I do want to
- 59:07mention the date today. It is July seventh. That means that was twenty
- 59:15seventeen July seven or twenty sixteen, nine twenty sixteen. July seven, twenty
- 59:20sixteen was the day that the shooter took out five police officers in Dallas who
- 59:25were protecting peaceful protesters in downtown Dallas. Four Dallas officers, one Dart officer
- 59:31paid the ultimate sacrifice for all of our safety on this day in twenty sixteen.
- 59:37So we remember them and we appreciate their sacrifice. And if you would
- 59:40like to help future families that have to go through that unfortunate situation, you
- 59:45can donate to the Listeners Foundation. And if for some reason you're not sure
- 59:50exactly how the foundation works. After nine eleven, it was started because there
- 59:54was no real resource for North Texas police officers and firefighters for their families to
- 1:00:00be taken care of in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy. At that time,
- 1:00:06right after nine eleven, two thousand and one, the countries Unifiedly,
- 1:00:09it's not so much sense, but at that time it was we all rallied
- 1:00:14into one common thing, and people also rallied behind the police officers, firefighters,
- 1:00:20port authority officers, ems workers, all the people that sacrifice so much
- 1:00:25trying to save lives on nine to eleven, And that was when it was
- 1:00:30realized there really wasn't anything in place for if someone a police officer or firefighter
- 1:00:35dies in the line of duty to help their family right after that happens,
- 1:00:38because insurance benefits and all those things can sometimes take months to kick in.
- 1:00:44So the foundation was created to be the stop gap in between. So and
- 1:00:49this has happened, families would not lose their homes, they would not have
- 1:00:52to worry about buying food for their kids, anything. They had nothing to
- 1:00:57worry about until those insurance benefits could kick in. And so that's why the
- 1:01:00foundation was started, and that's why we keep it going today, and we
- 1:01:04do that thanks to your generous donation. So thank you for that. Thank
- 1:01:07you guys so much. And it's it is remarkable when you think about it,
- 1:01:13because the first check we wrote for the foundation was for twenty five hundred
- 1:01:15dollars and then what was the last check for checks now get written for forty
- 1:01:20thousand dollars. That's thanks to you all. So we're obviously very proud to
- 1:01:29be the stewards of the foundation, and that's what we are. We basically
- 1:01:30just take the money you generously give and then we make it go to where
- 1:01:35it needs to go. So thank you again for that. Trey was instrumental
- 1:01:38in getting that started back in two thousand and one, and then I think
- 1:01:42it officially became an official entity in O two after I had joined the show.
- 1:01:45So obviously it's very dear to us and dear to you, and we
- 1:01:49appreciate it. You mentioned remarkable. I'm gonna do a hard, hard one
- 1:01:53eighty because in my twenty four years of radio I learned many things, but
- 1:01:59one is how to grab the steering wheel and do a hard segue. So
- 1:02:04we're gonna talk about something remarkable, and that is the fact that Cornhole is
- 1:02:07on television right now. Yah yah, yeah. And and I'm not making
- 1:02:14this up. You go to any sports bar anywhere, and again I don't
- 1:02:15like to brag about this, but even on the island of Saint Thomas,
- 1:02:19I will sit at a bar and I am watching cornhole because there's nothing else
- 1:02:24sporting wise until football season. But it does beg the question is there a
- 1:02:29whitter sport than cornhole? Is there is there a white sport? The white
- 1:02:32sport golf used to be it used to be a tennis, used to be
- 1:02:37um. But now I'd say cornhole's pretty much Yeah, the most Caucasian of
- 1:02:43sports, right I was. I just wanted to correct you guys real quick.
- 1:02:45It's um professional cornhole, thank you. These guys have given up their
- 1:02:52amateur status to go pro. Yeah, that's exactly what they did. They
- 1:02:58gave up the college degree, you know, cornhole to But haven't we all
- 1:03:02wondered who Bush Beans sponsors? Uh? There you go, it's those guys.
- 1:03:07It's those guys. Although, to be fair and all the cornhole I've
- 1:03:12actually not watched but just kind of looked at on TV because it's a bright
- 1:03:15shiny light when I'm sitting on a bar. I think they sponsor everybody,
- 1:03:20like everyone's got the Bushes Baked Beans. It's like NASCAR, except Bushes Baked
- 1:03:22Beans owns every shirt and then and then you get the little spots around them.
- 1:03:28But then Johnsonville Broughts gets the sweet spot in the middle of the actual
- 1:03:31cornhole board. So I mean, like the boards the bun and they're writing
- 1:03:37in the middle. Yeah, but I actually I saw I saw a story
- 1:03:39the other day. It's the two fastest growing emerging sports in the United States.
- 1:03:46And I'll open this up to you guys. Obviously we're mentioning cornhole.
- 1:03:49Cornhole is one of the millions of dollars being invested into it. Can you
- 1:03:52name the other one? God, damn, you guys are good. Yes,
- 1:03:57it is pickleball. Pickleball is I also read like with pickle ball is
- 1:04:01going in into all the bed bath and beyond that are being vacated. They're
- 1:04:05taking over malls. There was a story today they have taken over like a
- 1:04:10two hundred thousand square foot mall in New Jersey and have turned it into nothing
- 1:04:14but pickaball. And before it's even open, they have two hundred and fifty
- 1:04:17members and they're expecting to play like every day, just packed. So what
- 1:04:25so what then? Happened. Hold on, what was it? What was
- 1:04:27the what was the cheer that was? I was thinking Valley View because his
- 1:04:33Valley View is still kind of it now been raised. It's sat there like
- 1:04:38it's sat there kind of like a ghost mall for like ten years, and
- 1:04:41it was supposed to be redeveloping then that fell through. So yeah, now
- 1:04:44let's just making Colin Greet Mall is gone. To all the good malls we
- 1:04:46grew up with, they're now going to turn into pickleball malls. But the
- 1:04:49wood but the one not good mall still there. Yeahs forever. Uh,
- 1:04:58Stones weren't gonna want to get a Mesquite to play pickleball? No, no,
- 1:05:01come on, that would actually be a good reason to go to Mesquite.
- 1:05:05No. Still, no, that's a rough crowd. Okay, So
- 1:05:10pickleball, Okay, pickleball is just tennis, right, but it's tiny tennis.
- 1:05:14It's it's actually it's not so tiny that it's table tennis. It's not
- 1:05:17ping pong, Okay, but I actually it's They even have celebrity tournaments now
- 1:05:21because again they played this on in Bars and I live in Bars, so
- 1:05:25I see the stuff on TV. I saw and I'm making this up.
- 1:05:28I saw a pickle ball match match, a match between tennis legends John mcinrow,
- 1:05:33No, you did not, I did, and Andre Agassi. I
- 1:05:38was glued to the TV. I was glued and and yes, and I
- 1:05:44don't know if he was, if he meant it, if it was real,
- 1:05:45or if he was just doing it as a bit. Mcinrow did yell
- 1:05:47at at the umpire and the referee he got. He screamed at everybody the
- 1:05:50way he did when he played tennis back and then how how bad does your
- 1:05:55career have to get to where you're the pickleball umpired, like like you know,
- 1:06:01like what is that story at the boy? You know I was at
- 1:06:03Wimbledon once, like all right, well let's get back out to towny small
- 1:06:08real quick, good god? And this is just I don't this is just
- 1:06:13so I quick. This just justifies alcoholism. That's what this does, is
- 1:06:15the pickleball turns. That's what I'm telling you. The reason we have these
- 1:06:19barbecues. I can go pro there. There are there are hundreds of small
- 1:06:25towns around Texas where this gives. You know, you could go Friday night
- 1:06:29town Square. You could find a team and you're you're just they're looking at
- 1:06:34that and going, that's inspiration. Yes, that right, there is hope
- 1:06:38and possibility to become a quote unquote professional athlete. That is this. I
- 1:06:44don't know why I'm dogging it. This is my one chance to go pro
- 1:06:46and I haven't even started playing yet, but at least that I might have
- 1:06:48a chance. And I think that's why it's it's well, I think that's
- 1:06:53why people like it is because he gives all of us, you know,
- 1:06:55simpletons, you know, hope. I think anywhere where you can get the
- 1:06:58starter kit at a five low, Uh, shouldn't shouldn't spark inspiration? Now,
- 1:07:05that's not fair. You can get a basketball at five below? Yes,
- 1:07:10you sure, how the hoop might be a little harder. That's more
- 1:07:13of like the hoop that goes over the trash can. But I mean it's
- 1:07:15a start. Yeah, But this is uh did you know that? Actually?
- 1:07:20Uh? There is a professional cornhole celebrity attachment. So everyone remember how
- 1:07:29Arnold Schwarzenegger was doing his housekeeper for many years and it ended up leading to
- 1:07:32his divorce from Murray Shriver because because he had a kid with the housekeeper.
- 1:07:36That kid's name is Joseph, and Joseph is a professional cornhole player. Wow,
- 1:07:43how heavy is the bag? It is? It is? It is
- 1:07:47kind of an odd flex when his when his bean bags look like you know,
- 1:07:51uh, you know, like manure bats. I'm just like, you
- 1:07:56know, back in, back in like the eighties, that were groupies.
- 1:08:00Now, I wonder if like this is happening with the cornhole circuit. So
- 1:08:03you're wondering if there are cornhole groupies, if there are cornholers. I don't
- 1:08:06know what they're called, but no, I think you got that sounds like
- 1:08:12the right name, like corn cornholers. I don't know what would you call
- 1:08:17yourselves. I don't know if there's anybody here that corneholios. Yeah, that
- 1:08:25cornhos, I got it cornholes from Yeah, I'm a cornhole. All right,
- 1:08:30that's it. That's it in the corn host they should have shirts.
- 1:08:35They're cornholes brought to you by Bush. I'm sorry that don't clap for that.
- 1:08:42That was crap. That was really that was really bad. I'm gonna
- 1:08:45save myself though, because I'm gonna do a tease. Could the answer?
- 1:08:47BC is coming up next here from Daddy Rabbits, Bob and Lives. Yeah,
- 1:08:53you're listening to the Treehouse because it goes online that Treehouse on Air dot
- 1:08:59com. Listen to us online at Treehouse on air dot com. Slick,
- 1:09:16you're in much better. That's how you come back from a commercial break on
- 1:09:27a podcast that is not actually live on the podcast right live in person at
- 1:09:33Daddy Rabbits Pub here in Louisville. Wanted to make a quick mention. We
- 1:09:41do have if you didn't get a chance to win one, which means only
- 1:09:44two of you one once everyone else, we do have a few of these
- 1:09:46h Treehouse Podcast roadie cups that are available for sale fifty dollars, proceeds going
- 1:09:50to the foundation. Trey is hiding them over here. You have any idea
- 1:09:55how many of those you got left? Three? Great, you got three
- 1:09:57laps, so I actually no, we have what we're gon to give another
- 1:10:00one away? No oh yeah, yeah, right, we're giving one more
- 1:10:01away right now, so we'll have two. And Rage is selling his DVDs.
- 1:10:05If you want to buy one of those, proceeds also go to the
- 1:10:08foundation. We'll do that after. Is that a tip or is that just
- 1:10:13for oh you're buying a cup now? Okay, fair enough. I was
- 1:10:15gonna say that though, thank you. I was gonna wait say wait till
- 1:10:18after the show. But that's that's show some initiative. That's awesome. I'm
- 1:10:21not gonna hate on that. I just thought I was gonna have to do
- 1:10:24something funny for you. Still might. That's ten dollars more than the actual
- 1:10:30cup. So the one last thing we have to do before we're done here
- 1:10:35at Daddy Rabbits Pub in Louisville is we need to play a quick game if
- 1:10:40could the answer BC one? Because I love playing it, so rage grabbed
- 1:10:44your your microphone there, I'm going to draw one name out of the bend.
- 1:10:47This is way simpler than dumb ass jeopardy. Yep. And that's not
- 1:10:51a trick, it really, it's just really is the answer is c Is
- 1:10:55Carlos still here, Carlos or Rosco, Carlos brother. All right, I'm
- 1:11:04going to explain this game to you, Carlos and everyone here at Daddy Rabbits
- 1:11:09Pub in Louisville. This is the easiest game probably ever to win. If
- 1:11:14you lose this game, then you're gonna need help. So the game is
- 1:11:18simply called could the answer be c That means the answer is always going to
- 1:11:25be C note tricks nothing, you got it, got it, you got
- 1:11:28it? All right? Get the mic a little bit closer to you.
- 1:11:31All right, So are you ready? Carlos? There you go? Thank
- 1:11:36you, DJ the Engineer. All right, you y'all set? Okay?
- 1:11:39Could the answer BC? Here? We you go. Everyone pay close attention
- 1:11:42because this game is is very, very intense. Trey's love life could best
- 1:11:48be described as a volatile b boring or see the decompressed Titans up, Oh,
- 1:12:05shut up, they're not here to complain. You get into a metal
- 1:12:13death tube and you don't get out? Are you really shocked? It is
- 1:12:17sad? It is sad, But still do you have an answer? I
- 1:12:21think that is correct. There you go, number two of the easiest game
- 1:12:30ever to win? Could the answer BC? Number two? Damn? That's
- 1:12:32me. I really want to do a Yes weekend because hey, it's my
- 1:12:39chance to get my wife to play video games, specifically Call of Duty.
- 1:12:44She already kicks the crap out of me in Mario Kart, so that's just
- 1:12:46not fair. I want to do a Yes weekend because B there's nothing I
- 1:12:51love more than making my wife happy. Or is it C? I'll finally
- 1:12:56be able to make a concrete decision like a goddamn man. I think it
- 1:13:02might be seen Carlos Trey, will you mark that so I can bleep it
- 1:13:11on for Monday? They all right, I'm kidding. Number three, Even
- 1:13:15though Trey has been sober for years now, he still manages to get kicked
- 1:13:19out of bars, because hey, he keeps asking people, did you know
- 1:13:25you can have fun without alcohol? Is it be he keeps asking people,
- 1:13:30do you know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? Or is it c because
- 1:13:35he keeps asking people, do you want to see photos of my little Chihuahua?
- 1:13:41It's definitely that is correct, very good. Number four, Rosh Charmat,
- 1:13:48you're not, I mean you're in the barrel with okay. So Rosh
- 1:13:51Charmat has never seen National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Yeah, yeah, good,
- 1:14:00Yes, the Hindu who's never seen Christmas Vacation. How many of you see
- 1:14:05I've seen Hindu Vacation. He's a whole known Chevy Chase movie. I'd actually
- 1:14:12watched that, all right. So rog has never seen rage, has never
- 1:14:15seen Christmas Vacation or Goonies, but he has miraculously seen a Jesus b success
- 1:14:24in comedy. See that's not a slam, it's real god. Uh see
- 1:14:30boobs. Oh that is correct, very yes though, and Den's are nice.
- 1:14:40That's the best part. Thank you. Welcome Bud. It keeps the
- 1:14:43spark alive and you compliment me. Number five. Let's move off from that
- 1:14:46very quickly. Number five. Netflix is doing a new special on serial Killers
- 1:14:50that will feature a John Wayne Gacy, b Richard Ramirez. Or see The
- 1:14:56Titanic, The Titanic. It's a compressed series. This close to going home
- 1:15:10on that one, this close to going home on owe. But I've got
- 1:15:14like seven more on this, all right. Number six. If ninety seven
- 1:15:17one was to change formats again, they should change the logo to a the
- 1:15:23Eagle to hearken back to the days of a great radio station, be a
- 1:15:28phoenix to rise out of the ashes of a dumpster fire, or or see
- 1:15:32that gift of Elmo struggling on the toilet. That is also corrected. Job,
- 1:15:40you've yet to make me use the buzzer. I appreciate that. Everett
- 1:15:42Newton unfortunately couldn't be here today. He sends his regards, but he still
- 1:15:46could the answer BC. Everett Newton can often be found at a the courthouse,
- 1:15:51be a music studio, or see Scarborough Fare because where else can he
- 1:15:57find other oddballs who are also interested in Falcon Andrian Blacksmith. Yeah, that
- 1:16:04is a very good job. Now we're back to raj Okay rash Charmat narrowly
- 1:16:13escaped death when he a was diagnosed with a mystery illness. B went skydiving,
- 1:16:19or c tried to eat the same number of water burger Takedo's as me.
- 1:16:28Yeah, very good. Number nine a brand news social media app debuted
- 1:16:32recently called Threads. This is great news because A it's fun to watch billionaire's
- 1:16:39fight, B competition is a good thing, or c yet another soul sucking,
- 1:16:45toxic hellscape of de humanization is just what we need. There is one
- 1:16:54other person I've not said hi to that really needs to be said hi to
- 1:16:57today, and that is dear sweet Joe see the bartender. Hi Josie.
- 1:17:04So quick backstory before we get to number ten here, because Josie's the focus
- 1:17:10of it. So our first road show at Toady's in Bedford, that was
- 1:17:14like three months ago, right, Josie was the bartender that day. She
- 1:17:18had no idea. We were coming and all of us a holes stormed upon
- 1:17:24this bar and she was by herself. They had to call in the night
- 1:17:27bartender because we're all, you know, drunks. Little did Josie no up
- 1:17:30until a few days ago that we are back. She moved to a new
- 1:17:36bar, I'm assuming because she didn't want to be in the same place with
- 1:17:40us ever again. Jokes on you, Josie. But Josie the bartender Number
- 1:17:46ten. Josie the bartender worked at Toady's when we did the road show there.
- 1:17:50Then she got a job here at Daddy Rabbits Pub, and here we
- 1:17:54are doing the show again. We are not stalkers. We just really enjoy
- 1:17:59a hipping her. Well be her taste in bars or see watching her Sleep
- 1:18:13number eleven. Similar to swamp as we told you about gooch grease in a
- 1:18:16previous episode. Now, gooch grease is defined as a the disgusting smelling mixture
- 1:18:24of sweat, poop, crusties, and LNT that forms along the inner gooch,
- 1:18:27forming a slime like substance, be treated by using maxipads or see the
- 1:18:34nickname we gave the Couch in the ninety seven one studio it's gonna be.
- 1:18:43You're doing really well. Carlos's two more can you hang in? I think
- 1:18:46I got it all right Number twelve. On the latest episode of The Treehouse
- 1:18:49podcast, Rebecca Black formerly of k Love, unveiled a massive secret held by
- 1:18:55women everywhere. So if you haven't listened that episode, you should really get
- 1:18:58on that. That secret held by women everywhere is a nothing is ever fine?
- 1:19:04B do not say calm down. See, they didn't know they didn't
- 1:19:11want to eat at that restaurant until their husband recommended it. It's going to
- 1:19:15be. And just for proof, I want to make sure you guys get
- 1:19:23to hear this. This is what she said in that previous episode that Blue
- 1:19:26Tray's mind. So here's the thing. Ladies know what we don't want.
- 1:19:29So you need to keep throwing out ideas. You throw out one restaurant,
- 1:19:31we're gonna shoot it down, throw out another one, shoot it down.
- 1:19:33Eventually you'll get to one that sounds good to us. Yeah, but why
- 1:19:36can't you just say on the front end, I don't want pizza Chinese?
- 1:19:41And because nine times out of ten I don't realize that they don't want it
- 1:19:45until you say it. There you have it, so that's a secret there
- 1:19:50and now finally the final question and could the answer b C are Here we
- 1:19:57go. Trey is currently trying to make amends with all of his exes by
- 1:20:04he giving them cash money, be giving them cars or is it c giving
- 1:20:15them an all expenses paid trip to see the Titanic. That is correct,
- 1:20:23congratulation it's Carlos, you have one. Could the answer b C? Here
- 1:20:28is your prize A Treehouse Podcast Roddy Cup, Thank you so much, Budd.
- 1:20:40We'd like to thank Daddy Rabbits Bubb for hosting us here today. Thank
- 1:20:44you Josie, thank you to Brad Hawkins for getting us out here today.
