- 0:10>> Good evening. Good morning, everyone. Matt scared me this morning and I'm not
- 0:13happy about it. >> You want to fight? >> I don't want to fight. I'd never want to
- 0:19fight. I'm a violent person. >> Well, you told me. We'll talk about it
- 0:24later, I assume. [laughter] But you told me >> you did almost get into a fight. I did
- 0:29almost get into a fight. I was at the pub last night
- 0:33>> and I was planning to have an early night. Just go there and meet raffle
- 0:36leave. But then every time I went to leave, I met new people. They wanted me to stay.
- 0:40>> You might have to explain what a meat raffle is to people who aren't Australian. But
- 0:44>> what? How a meat raffle is? >> I've never seen one here.
- 0:50>> They might happen. I just since I don't eat meat anymore. Ah, well, a meat
- 0:54raffle is when you go to your local pub or club and on a sort of a Friday
- 0:58afternoon, they'll have a meat raffle. You buy tickets and you can win meat.
- 1:02That's pretty much it. I didn't win. And then, yeah, just ended up staying
- 1:07around. Then there was this there was people dancing, having fun, and then at
- 1:12one point there was this girl walking past me, and this guy was sort of she'd
- 1:16been dancing with this guy, but she was trying to leave. And he kept grabbing
- 1:19her arm, trying to pull her back to the dance floor. And she's, "No, no, no.
- 1:22leave me alone. So I sort of grabbed his arm and went, "What are you doing?" [laughter]
- 1:28>> Yeah. And he did give me a very filthy look and then he walked away. And then
- 1:32the girl came back later and said, "Thank you very much." So that was me
- 1:35nearly getting into a fight. >> A >> saving the day. >> Look at you. You're like a
- 1:42>> girl doesn't want to dance with you. You just You don't grab a bite arm and pull
- 1:46her back. Do you like a red beardy Batman or uh who's your favorite superhero?
- 1:53>> I don't actually have one. I don't think >> you don't like superheroes.
- 1:57>> I don't know if I've got a favorite. They're just all the same cuz there's so
- 2:01many of them. You can't really >> Well, we've got different superpowers.
- 2:06>> There's only one superpower that I would ever want. That's teleportation. And the
- 2:09only superheroes that have that are lame. >> Nightcrawler. >> Yeah, >> he's not lame.
- 2:15>> He's lame. What are you talking about? What's lame about Nightcrawler?
- 2:18>> I don't know. You just I never liked him. >> All right.
- 2:23>> But then I told her if she had any more trouble later, she can come up see me
- 2:27and I will help her out. >> Oh, look at you. Did you grab her arm and force her to
- 2:32dance for you? >> Yes, I [laughter] did. >> No, I would never do that. I would never
- 2:39dance. [laughter] Willingly or unwillingly? With >> Luke does not dance.
- 2:46>> What are you drinking? >> I'm drinking red cordial because I'm
- 2:49very hung over and I just need sugar and liquid. >> I wasn't allowed. >> No more alcohol,
- 2:55>> kid. >> Yeah, >> cuz of the red food coloring. Apparently
- 3:00makes you crazy. >> I don't think it's made me crazy. >> Yeah,
- 3:04>> I just didn't have any. They didn't The shop didn't have any lime. >> A cooler.
- 3:10Lime cooler is the best of all >> I don't know we have I don't know we
- 3:13have cordial here either. >> Oh really? >> Yeah. >> So for American listeners cordial is
- 3:19basically concentrated syrup that you pour water in to make it less
- 3:24concentrated and drink it. >> Yeah. Just looked no stupid questions on
- 3:28Reddit. Do Americans have cordial/squash? Uh and then the answer appears to be no.
- 3:34Never heard of it. Oh. H. >> Well, it's pretty much exactly the same.
- 3:40Well, you do sort of have it. You have syrup. You've got like Coke syrup.
- 3:44>> Yeah. Yeah. It's like the syrup that you make a fountain drink out of, except you
- 3:47just mix water with it. It's not fizzy or anything.
- 3:50>> Not fizzy, not anything. And Yeah. You don't need a special machine to
- 3:53carbonate it or anything. >> It's make your own sugar water. >> Yes.
- 3:58>> Americans would love it. I don't know what why would why do they have it here?
- 4:01Makes no sense to me. >> [cough and clears throat]
- 4:12>> I losing my voice a little bit because of Yeah, >> because of fighting.
- 4:17>> Fighting. Yep. >> Uh, have you been to the movies this week or not?
- 4:21>> I didn't get there. I'm going to go tomorrow, Monday. So, then I'll give you
- 4:27my review of Scary Movie and He-Man. I
- 4:31saw He-Man's got quite a long run time. >> Oh, does it? >> About two and a half hours.
- 4:37>> Oh, all right. I saw [clears throat] it's doing all right, but um Scary Movie
- 4:40is doing better, which I think is amusing. But >> I mean, Scary Movie
- 4:44>> different audience. I don't He-Man >> Scary Movie everyone could go to because
- 4:49it's been around forever. He-Man, while it's been around forever, it's not
- 4:52really been prominent. >> Yeah. I wondered about He-Man just
- 4:57because I mean I know who He-Man is obviously. >> Yeah. Like, but kids probably. Oh, but
- 5:03there was that new series, the Kevin Smith. >> Yeah, but I don't even know if that new
- 5:06series was directed at kids. >> Yeah, >> I think the nostalgia for people our age
- 5:11cuz I never watched it. So, >> yeah. No, I didn't watch it either. [laughter]
- 5:16>> I liked He-Man as a kid. I don't >> not particularly interested in He-Man
- 5:19now. Although like the movie looks pretty cool. It looks [ __ ]
- 5:22>> Yeah. Yeah. We have really come around on how that movie looks from when we
- 5:26first saw it. >> Yeah. I think if Jared Leto isn't into it, it's probably good. >> Yeah.
- 5:32>> But I still don't get Jared Leto because he doesn't watch his own movies.
- 5:38>> I think he's just complaining that he did all this extra stuff that they
- 5:42didn't include. >> I I think it's common for actors not to
- 5:45want to watch their own movies. I've heard lots of people say that.
- 5:48>> Like I don't have that. I mean, not that I'm in a lot of movies, but I'm in I'm
- 5:53in things and I don't mind watching it. I don't know. >> Yeah. In fact, I think it's fun.
- 5:58>> But then maybe the novelty would wear off if you were in, >> you know, a lot of movies.
- 6:03>> Yeah. Because I know a lot of them will go to a premiere and then they'll all
- 6:06just walk out. And I can understand you don't want to see it over and over and over. But
- 6:12>> at least watch it once, wouldn't you? >> Yeah. See, that'd be weird.
- 6:19[cough and clears throat] >> So, how do you know if you
- 6:20>> be in a movie and go to premier not watch? But then again, I'm not in any
- 6:22I'm not in a big Hollywood movie. So, >> look, if you put me and Matt in a big
- 6:26Hollywood movie, we will stay. >> I will watch the movie. I promise you.
- 6:30I'll [ __ ] watch it. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> So, but there just before we started
- 6:36recording, I was watching the new Wolverine gameplay.
- 6:40>> Yes. What do you think about that? >> That game looks amazing. >> Really? Interesting.
- 6:47>> Oh, you didn't think so? >> No, they look kind of boring to me. I
- 6:50don't know. I guess I I was looking at it going, I guess I can understand
- 6:55people will like this, but it's just really doesn't look like it's for me.
- 6:58>> There's a lot of blood. >> Yeah, which is fine.
- 7:02>> They're going to get an 18 rating in a sharia. >> But I was
- 7:07like, people just like, oh yeah, look, it's Wolverine. There's blood
- 7:10everywhere. Yeah. Or is like I don't know. The to me
- 7:14I just don't like these kind of games. I guess it just doesn't look very It just
- 7:17doesn't look very interesting to me. Well, and here's the weird thing. You're
- 7:22going to be the only one that can play it. [clears throat] >> Oh, uh,
- 7:27>> coming PlayStation 5 cuz Sony are horrible people.
- 7:31>> Is it like fully exclusive or is it >> fully exclusive? >> Oh, wow. So, never Xbox?
- 7:37>> Yeah. >> Huh. I didn't know. >> Which is why I was sort of bit upset
- 7:41because it's Insomniac and I quite like the games they make.
- 7:45>> Oh, that makes sense. Okay. So, it's like the Spider-Man guys. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Okay.
- 7:52>> Which is another game I'd love to have played. >> They're on PC, but they don't have
- 7:56achievements, so you won't play them, but you could.
- 7:59>> I could, but I won't. It's just not going to happen. >> Um,
- 8:04>> which is a shame. >> I have the Spider-Man games. I haven't really played.
- 8:09>> Do you have the new one? >> Cuz apparently the new one was really good.
- 8:14>> What's the new one? Uh, >> well, what new one I was in a few years ago by these guys?
- 8:18>> New Spider-Man game. >> Spider-Man 2. Probably not. Uh, okay.
- 8:24No, I have [clears throat] You know what? I don't know. I don't do my
- 8:28PlayStation on. [laughter] I think >> you just got it.
- 8:31>> I bet you said that I'm the only one who can play it. I can't play it because I I
- 8:35need in order to play it, I need to remember that I own a PlayStation. >> Yes. >> Um.
- 8:38>> Yep. >> And it's not your go-to. >> No, I've got Spider-Man Remastered. I
- 8:44know I have that. I'm pretty sure I have Spider-Man Miles Morales,
- 8:50>> but uh I don't think I have Spider-Man 2. I'm sure I do. I wouldn't have bought that.
- 8:55>> Yeah. >> The other two I think I got through um sales like >> Yeah. >> at some point.
- 9:02>> And you haven't played them either? I've played a little bit of the of the first one
- 9:06>> and because because um Yria wanted to see it >> because I don't know it came up somehow
- 9:13and that but when I started playing it it's like >> she's used to Spidey and his Amazing
- 9:18Friends which is the kids show. >> They all have big heads and it's all
- 9:21like very wholesome and like there's no violence.
- 9:25>> Yeah. Whereas in at the start of the the Spider-Man game, you're like punching
- 9:29Kingpin in the face and stuff like that. And I just remember her being like,
- 9:32"What is this?" Like, "This isn't Spider-Man." >> Maybe I showed her this a little bit too
- 9:38early. >> Yeah.
- 9:41>> Yes. And uh Doc O is a man in the game
- 9:46and a woman in the show she watches like as in Okay. like in um Across the
- 9:51Spider-Verse where it's >> uh I can't remember her name. It's not
- 9:58Otto. It's Anyway, it's Lady Lady Octopus. >> Yeah. So, she was very confused by it all.
- 10:04>> Yeah. She was just like, I don't really like this. And I was like, yeah, fair enough.
- 10:08>> Yeah. This is not her Spider-Man. >> No, no, it's not cute enough.
- 10:14Um they announced some other stuff including um Alien isol Alien Isolation
- 10:202. I can't >> Yes. So I watched the reveal trailer for
- 10:24that. That doesn't really show anything. >> No, it on a planet.
- 10:28>> It's got some outside stuff which is Yeah. >> different. Um [clears throat] otherwise
- 10:33it looks very similar like >> Yes. In a good way like
- 10:36>> Yeah. Yeah. which I'm sort of I quite like that it's is and it's been long
- 10:41enough since the first one came out that they can do similar and it's not going
- 10:44to be oh it's this again >> cuz that game's what 10 years old now and it I mean
- 10:49>> it [clears throat] still looks good like >> still looks great and I still love the
- 10:52fact it didn't do well at launch >> it was later that people went oh hold on
- 10:58this is a good game >> yeah I never finished it I got the
- 11:01[ __ ] not even the alien the the androids Yeah.
- 11:07>> [ __ ] annoyed me. >> Yeah. I wish you had if you take out the
- 11:10androids, I think it would have been a better game, honestly.
- 11:13>> Well, it's a stealth game and >> yeah, >> like those bits were just I know we've
- 11:19talked about this before. I'm too old. I don't have time for try and retry and
- 11:22try and you know, like and it like you kind of have to do that, I think.
- 11:26>> Yeah. To work out. Yeah. If I do this, they'll be there and then I'll come out here and
- 11:30>> Yeah. It doesn't hold your hand. >> Yeah. Yeah.
- 11:33>> In a way that I'm old and I need now cuz I don't have time.
- 11:37>> And it's not a case of, "Oh, well, they've caught me. I'll just murder them all."
- 11:42>> No, exactly. You can't. >> Yeah.
- 11:47>> But we still got a long time to wait for this one, I think, cuz Yeah. This is
- 11:50just a reveal trailer and it's just You can wishlist it soon is all they say.
- 11:57>> It doesn't even say when, right? >> So, it's definitely not going to be this year.
- 12:03No, but that's all right. I don't have time. Anyway, have you played any more
- 12:08of First Light? 007 First Light. Um, I was playing a little bit and I'm
- 12:13actually starting to get the hang of it a bit a little bit more and then Final
- 12:15Fantasy 7 Rebirth came out and then I was playing a little bit of that.
- 12:20And then I've been playing a lot of other crappy games just to get achievements.
- 12:24>> All right, because I got to I want to play First Light. I just Yeah, I got to
- 12:29buy in the cockbox, I guess. And I don't I just don't have a huge amount of time. >> Yep.
- 12:35>> And that's a lot of money. >> And it is maybe wait for a sale then
- 12:39because it is a lot of >> stealth. >> I know. But it looks good. >> Like I just
- 12:45>> I mean Alien Isolation also looks good. >> I've I've done sort of the first mission
- 12:50where you sort of you have to get enough money to go into an auction. So, you're
- 12:55basically going around trying to do small jobs, trying to work out how to make money to
- 13:00>> get $100,000 so you can go into this auction. And yeah,
- 13:04>> and he's giving you different ways of doing it. And I've lost a lot of money
- 13:08gambling. [laughter] >> I have to Sounds cool.
- 13:13>> Maybe use a guide to see how I can win money. >> And to be clear, when I said Alien
- 13:18Isolation sound also looks fun, Alien Isolation is fun. Yes, I'm just old and
- 13:23hard games are like I can't do it cuz >> Yeah, I'll play >> That's a me problem.
- 13:29>> Yeah, this is not as hard as [snorts] >> isolation. >> No.
- 13:33>> Yeah. All right. Yeah, I got to check it out. Um
- 13:38>> the fighting once you get used to it a little bit more, you got to time your blocks.
- 13:42>> Uh oh, that stuff's annoying for me. >> Yeah, >> I'm bad. I'm just I'm bad at it. So,
- 13:47another game I'm going to talk about has a similar mechanic for the melee. We can
- 13:52talk about it now. Actually, it's in it's right here in the spread in it's
- 13:54not spreadsheet anymore. Right here in in Segway Dune Awakening. >> Yes,
- 14:00>> I'm still playing it. Not as frequently as I was once, but I am still, you know,
- 14:04once or twice a week going doing some missions. >> I'm a little upset that I will be able
- 14:10to play with you, but only if you decide to do start fresh.
- 14:16Yeah. Well, not only that, the So, it's coming to consoles. >> Yes. >> In uh September.
- 14:21>> September. >> Which is uh it's not too far away. Um
- 14:25>> it's coming to Game Pass as well. >> And it's also getting some
- 14:31nice like at the moment you can only play online. >> Yeah. Uh, and
- 14:36whereas when it comes on console, it's going to be more like Conan Exiles where
- 14:40you can just play a little single player game on your own system without
- 14:45>> having to um be in multiplayer at all. But then also, so they have private servers now
- 14:52as well. Um, but I think yeah, in order to play together,
- 14:58uh, I I'll have to either get it probably better to get it on Xbox if we're all going to
- 15:03>> Yeah, there's there's no crossplay. Well, there's sort of crossplay. If you
- 15:07brought the Windows version >> Yeah, that's right.
- 15:11>> Through like the Windows [clears throat] marketplace, you could crossplay Xbox.
- 15:14>> No, I don't have that version. I have the Steam version.
- 15:16>> No, you got the Steam version. H oh well.
- 15:21>> But I am looking forward to actually getting my hands on this finally.
- 15:24>> But if we play it's so you can have a private server and you can when you have
- 15:29a private server you can adjust the settings. So I would probably want to do
- 15:32that because you can >> speed things up a little bit.
- 15:37>> Exactly. you can speed up crafting rates and like resource gathering rates and
- 15:41stuff like that just to make it a little bit less like like cuz I've enjoyed it
- 15:45but I'm like I'm not going to want to spend that much time getting back up to
- 15:50where I am. You know what I mean? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> So,
- 15:52>> no I I completely understand that. So, you're speeding stuff up. There's
- 15:57nothing wrong with that. >> You still get to enjoy the game.
- 16:00>> Yeah. And look, it's a good game. It's very like I've had a lot of fun with it.
- 16:04And then also too like so the end game part of it like there's a big map of the
- 16:09the Haga Basin which is where you do all your missions and stuff to begin with
- 16:13but then once you get an ornithopter you can fly out
- 16:17>> and do missions in the larger world of of Iraqis and then there's the deep
- 16:23desert which is where the big spice ming and uh the the giant sandworms and stuff
- 16:30are. And in the in the online version, the the version the the the normal
- 16:34version, um when you're online, >> you build a base in the deep desert, you
- 16:38go out, you mine spice and stuff, then you've got to bring it back to the Haga
- 16:41Basin because everything in the deep desert gets destroyed, you know, every
- 16:45so often, like there's like a big a big sandstorm or whatever, your base won't
- 16:49be there anymore. So apparently that's not going to be a thing in the >> single player.
- 16:54>> That's good cuz that would just be frustrating. That's just making things
- 16:58hard for everyone. >> It's more like it's like it's like
- 17:01you've got Rust built on top of this other game kind of thing cuz you know in
- 17:07Rust like the whole server wipes and you you get at the start of the wipe and you
- 17:11build up and you play and then it gets destroyed again. It's kind of a different
- 17:15>> way. Okay. [snorts] Yeah. Well, we won't be doing that, >> won't we?
- 17:21>> But >> yeah. Oh, well, I'm I'm going to set up a server, so you'll do what I tell you,
- 17:25mate. [laughter] Anyway, it's a great game. Uh,
- 17:30>> and I've been Yeah, >> hope kind of hoping it's going to be
- 17:35like Coden Exiles as well where once we cuz we'll start playing it and
- 17:41then we'll stop and then once we stop, I can just use console commands to unlock
- 17:45all the achievements. >> Sure. Yeah,
- 17:51>> we'll see. I know >> be nice and loud that again.
- 17:54>> I put so much time into into it. It's going to be weird like leave the safe.
- 17:59But I mean I had fun. So what's what's it matter? [snorts]
- 18:02>> And the thing is you're sort of starting to drop off a little bit now. So maybe
- 18:06but yeah, we're not going to play together. It's not going to happen.
- 18:09>> It feels weird, right? Because >> that >> it feels weird cuz like how many how Let
- 18:15me see how much time have I played this game.
- 18:18Um, and it like it feels weird because if I stop playing, if I completely stop
- 18:25playing, >> Yep. >> my bass and stuff will degrade and disappear. Yes.
- 18:29>> Right. So my if I don't play, my stuff >> Yeah. So even if you do sort of want to
- 18:34go back, it's you're starting from scratch anyway cuz it's going to be gone.
- 18:39>> Yeah. Whereas like if I look at something like Cyberpunk, like I played
- 18:44that tons and tons and tons. Although I did finish Cyber Punk. I haven't
- 18:47technically finished the main story line in this yet, but like
- 18:51>> I'm not going back to play Cyberpunk on that save anyway. Like if I'm going to
- 18:56play Cyber Punk, I play from scratch kind of thing. So, I don't know. It just
- 18:59it just But it feels different knowing that >> like if my Cyberpunk save was going to
- 19:04disappear if I didn't play it every 20 days, I might
- 19:09>> feel compelled to go back in there and just like keep it, you know? It's like
- 19:12it's interesting >> psychological trick they've done. Yeah.
- 19:17>> Let's see. Dune Awakening I have played for 131 hours, [laughter]
- 19:23>> which is quite a lot for me. >> That's a lot for you. >> Yeah.
- 19:29So, and I play it on GeForce now, which
- 19:34means that's active play time because if I go if I stop playing and leave it
- 19:40paused, it kicks me out. >> Yep. So
- 19:45yeah, see for where's my Skyrim? How much Skyrim have I played? Just for
- 19:51comparison. [laughter]
- 19:57Oh, we're going to get sued. Uh, Elder Scrolls. Elder Scrolls. The [ __ ] is it
- 20:03Skyrim under? Elder Scrolls. Elder Scrolls. Skyrim. Yep.
- 20:08>> I have played apparently nothing. It claim it claims I've never played
- 20:14this game. [laughter] That is untrue. Wait, >> have you Have you played on the GeForce
- 20:21Now, though? >> Oh, my review. You've [ __ ] I've played
- 20:26Skyrim for 97.5 hours. Except I have it on the Xbox as well.
- 20:30>> Yeah, like you you you've you've played it a few times. Like you're definitely
- 20:34over 200 on that. >> Yeah, but I played it on PC first. That
- 20:38feels weird that I've played Dune more than I've played Skyrim on here. Anyway, whatever.
- 20:45>> That's weird. >> Yeah, I'm excited to be able to play it
- 20:50with you briefly before we realize we don't have enough crossover time to ever
- 20:54actually play it together and >> together. Yeah. And it'll just us
- 20:57logging in every now and again to see what each other has done.
- 21:00>> Me, I have my tiny little base that I've done for the tutorial. Now,
- 21:04>> you can live in my basement. [laughter] >> Yes. [snorts]
- 21:09So, no, that's that. But then because we had what this is all coming out because
- 21:12of the PlayStation State of Play, hasn't it? >> Mhm. Yes. >> Which has just happened.
- 21:17>> Yes. And there was a few other odds and
- 21:20ends um we've got uh let's see,
- 21:26Jesus, what else is in here? Okay, so there's a new God of War game um which
- 21:30is about uh Loafy. Um >> cool. You won't be able to play that. I
- 21:36don't know much about God of War, >> especially the new ones.
- 21:39>> It's on PlayStation, so Luke doesn't give a [ __ ] >> No. >> Um, Control 2 coming out.
- 21:46>> That's I'm looking forward to see this. I understand why they cuz
- 21:52they've recently moved the Fable launch from this year to next year. And you can
- 21:57really understand why >> the back end of this year, you got a lot of games coming out.
- 22:02>> Yeah. Pretty loaded. >> Yeah. [snorts] But yeah, so in Control, I was reading
- 22:07into this, you don't play as her, you play as her brother. >> Okay. >> You actually,
- 22:13>> cuz remember in the first one, she's looking for her brother.
- 22:16>> Yeah. And he's slight spoilers, he's in Alan Wake 2. >> Mhm.
- 22:22>> Briefly, right? >> Briefly. >> Yeah. >> And then this is going to be about him
- 22:26searching for her, >> but you're actually going to be playing
- 22:30more in the city as well. It's not just going to be in the one building. So,
- 22:34that will be interesting to see how that >> plays out. >> All right,
- 22:41man. So, I I've never really played much Control. I couldn't get into it.
- 22:46>> It's a It's a tough game. You have to commit to it. You can't
- 22:51>> put it down and come back later because >> even though it's one building, it's a
- 22:57complete maze. And >> yeah, >> if you don't remember what you're doing
- 23:00and where to go, it gets frustrating. >> But if you play it
- 23:04>> all in one or as much as you can in one sitting, you start to memorize the
- 23:08layout a little bit. >> Yeah. Yeah. I wonder if
- 23:14like cuz Alan Wake was Alan Wake 2 was so good, >> but like I feel like this is just a
- 23:20different type of game, so it's not really >> Well, it's it's definitely going to be
- 23:24better than their their last game. That multiplayer one.
- 23:28>> That multiplayer one was terrible. >> I don't even remember what it was called
- 23:32or anything about it. Yeah. But I remember that it existed.
- 23:35>> Yes. I don't Yeah. Don't remember what it's called. I just know I played it and
- 23:39did not like it. >> Yeah. I just I know this is not going to
- 23:42be like Alan Wake 2, which is a shame just because I love that game, but I
- 23:47mean it makes sense. Um >> Yeah. >> I still wonder I haven't heard anything
- 23:52on their Max Pain remakes. >> Oh yeah. I don't know.
- 23:58>> They sort of Yeah, but there's that. And then there's Until
- 24:04Dawn 2, which is a game I would love to play, but it's PlayStation only.
- 24:08>> Yeah, that's a theme. Um, >> cuz I like these types of games. The
- 24:12sort of they're not really games and such. They're more >> interactive movie.
- 24:17>> Yeah. And I actually don't mind that. >> Yeah. I feel like that's one I should
- 24:21play to be honest. Um, >> for some reason I always think Until
- 24:26Dawn is a science fiction
- 24:30game, is it? It's not, is it? No. I don't know why I think that.
- 24:35>> Oh, I think it's also monster game, I think. >> Yeah. Oh, Ramy Malik.
- 24:40>> Huh? Yeah. I don't know. I should play this. Yeah. I don't know why I think.
- 24:44What is the uh It doesn't matter. I thought it was a um
- 24:50science fiction game. Doesn't matter. Um, I don't know what I'm thinking of,
- 24:56>> but no. Yeah, this will be a this would be a good game if I could play it.
- 25:00>> Yeah. All Marathon season two. >> Okay. >> I played that for about 5 minutes and
- 25:07could not get into it. >> It's an extraction shooter. I don't care. >> Yeah.
- 25:13>> I mean, yeah. I wish >> people seem to be liking it, but they're
- 25:16not liking. Evidently, season two did not kick off well.
- 25:19>> Oh, really? Why? And they've given sort of an apology gift to people because it
- 25:24just went bad for some reason. I don't know what happened, but I know it wasn't good.
- 25:28>> Oh, okay. >> Uh, Ace Combat 8. >> I'm looking forward to that. I don't
- 25:35mind those games. >> Oh, really? I've never played one of them.
- 25:39>> Yeah. No, they're actually quite fun. So, that'll most likely come to Xbox as
- 25:43well, so I'll look forward to playing that. >> Very cool. >> Yep. >> Um, let's see.
- 25:49Sil a new Silent Hill. >> Mhm. >> Um
- 25:55Oh, Nushima Way of the Sword. >> No, that doesn't jump out at me.
- 26:00>> Let's see. Some dinosaur [ __ ] Tomb Raider reboot.
- 26:06>> That I'm interested in. I don't know what Don't know if it's going to be like what
- 26:12we if it's going to be like the old ones that we recently just got or if it's
- 26:16going to be trying something new. I'm looking at the video and Yeah. No, it
- 26:21looks like just a remake of the game we were playing recently.
- 26:26>> So, it's like the original >> No. Yeah, it's like the original outfit
- 26:30and stuff and there's dinosaurs and stuff again, but it looks like it's
- 26:33going to be the gameplay of >> Right. Right. So, it's Yeah. The the
- 26:37first the first first Tomb Raider game remade in the style of the new ones.
- 26:42>> Yeah. Yeah, that's what it's looking like. So, I'm all in for that. Yeah. I
- 26:45got to I got to finish the last one, the Inca one.
- 26:49>> Yeah, cuz I remember the the problem you had is you you played them back to back.
- 26:54>> Yeah. Well, I did the same thing each time though, right? I played the first
- 26:57one and I loved it and then I started the second one and then I was like, too much.
- 27:01>> Yeah. Cuz it's just the same thing. >> Yeah. And then I took a huge break and
- 27:05then I went back and I finished it and then and then I started the third one
- 27:09>> and then now I've done the same thing. I've taken a huge break. Maybe now is
- 27:13>> now's the time. >> Instead of buying First Light, I should just go back in and finish.
- 27:18>> It's a good game. >> Yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Shadow of
- 27:21the Tomb Raider was the last one, right? Third one. Yeah.
- 27:24>> Yeah. It's not that I didn't like it. It's just that I was like, man, I've
- 27:26been doing a lot of >> Yeah. It's just a lot of the same. This
- 27:31mechanics don't really change at all. >> Yeah. >> But that's not to say it's a bad game.
- 27:36It's just she can get >> No. And look, she's nice to look at. I'm
- 27:39not going to not going to lie. >> Yeah. I think she's from what I just saw
- 27:42on the trailer very quickly here. She's still very nice to look at. I think
- 27:45she's wearing the shorts now. >> Oh, very good. [laughter]
- 27:49I We talked about this. I've the [ __ ] sometimes YouTube shorts,
- 27:55right? Or is it YouTube shorts or some I don't know. It'll be like a clip of like
- 28:00how to get this um collectible in um Tomb Raider. >> Yeah.
- 28:06>> Shadow Shadow of the Tomb Raider or whatever like that. And then it's like
- 28:09it looks like it's normal gameplay, but then she runs to the side and they've
- 28:12obviously got a mod on cuz she's got these [ __ ] enormous tits. And
- 28:15[laughter] I'm like, what is this? Like,
- 28:20what is wrong with people? So weird.
- 28:26Um, and then the rest >> say something else about Tomb Raider. I
- 28:30can't remember. Yeah. Yeah. The rest >> rest are sort of when you go down the
- 28:34list. told the Rayman Legends Retold, depending on what >> Oh, yeah. >> one that is.
- 28:41>> Rayman Legends. I think that's the one I had on the 3DS.
- 28:46Is that the one that's uh got that really cool musical level?
- 28:51>> Yeah, I'm hoping it is. I'm not sure, but I really hope that musical
- 28:56>> that level was [ __ ] ridiculous. >> That was awesome. Was it Black Betty?
- 29:00>> Well, yeah, exactly. Yeah, all the goblins or whatever singing Black Betty.
- 29:04That was [ __ ] amazing. >> Yeah. If it's that, I'm all in. If it's not, I'm out.
- 29:09>> Yeah, that was good [ __ ] >> Yeah. And then the rest are sort of eh. But
- 29:15next week we'll be talking about the Xbox Sunday game. >> Right. Right.
- 29:22>> Cuz that's on this Sunday. [snorts] >> Oh, cool. All right. Tomorrow.
- 29:27>> Yep. >> Very cool. Um Oh, yes. And sorry, there
- 29:32is another Tomb Raider game. That's what I was going to say when I got distracted
- 29:34by the tit story. Um, there is a it's not part of this news, right? But they
- 29:41mentioned it here, which is why Yeah. Sorry. Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis. Sounds good.
- 29:45>> Yep. >> I love Atlantis. >> Hopefully, it's got Graham Hanok in it.
- 29:50>> Hopefully, we'll see. >> I would love that. Unironically, I would
- 29:54love that if this game if they [ __ ] got Graham Hanok to be to be in the game
- 29:59and to like voice himself. I would love >> I highly doubt it, but it would be very
- 30:04>> I also doubt it, but I think that would be very very cool.
- 30:07>> We don't have long to wait. It's got a February release, so it's another one of
- 30:11these games that's sort of trying to steer clear of Grand Theft Auto 6.
- 30:16>> Yeah. Well, I'm also trying to steer clear of that. >> I just don't care.
- 30:22>> There's going to be a lot of people who are going to be playing it.
- 30:25>> Oh, I know. I know. It's Yeah, it's going to be a It's
- 30:30probably going to be big game game of the year straight away.
- 30:34There's no competing against it. >> Play it first, guys. Come on. I mean, it
- 30:38could be [ __ ] >> It could be, but I guarantee you it's
- 30:41everyone's everyone knows it's going to outsell anything else that comes out that month.
- 30:46>> I don't question that. I just Yeah. Yeah. >> I mean, I'm sure.
- 30:50>> Where are other Game Awards? Because I guarantee you it's going to win.
- 30:57Well, it's 2026. >> December 10th. >> Okay.
- 31:02>> So, be able to play it for a month. >> Didn't we all think Starfield was going
- 31:06to win until we played it? >> Yes. >> I think I think Todd Howard certainly
- 31:11thought it was. >> Yeah. >> I haven't gone back and played it since
- 31:15the updates and the DLC and stuff, but >> I never finished it and played in
- 31:21[ __ ] ages. It like not it was bad or anything. It just wasn't good enough. Like
- 31:25>> there wasn't >> enough to sort of do like with Skyrim
- 31:29that and Fallout and all of those >> you walk when you're walking along
- 31:34exploring you always there's oh there's this oh go there or go there there's
- 31:38something always happening >> but because of this it's just you're
- 31:41landing on a planet and it's procedurally generated. There's not
- 31:44really much to do and it's you do come across something it's the same thing over and over.
- 31:50>> Yeah. Most of the planet is just nothing. >> Yeah. Like it reminds me of Mass Effect
- 31:55one with the Mako which I know you like. >> I love that Mo.
- 31:59>> But that Mako made playing on hard very easy for some stuff,
- 32:05>> right? >> Could you just roll up, shoot them, back up that I can't shoot you back, go
- 32:10forward, shoot them. I want I want the achievement for playing it through hard.
- 32:15>> It's not cheating if the game lets you do it. >> Exactly. >> With Luke's motto. >> Mhm.
- 32:21>> Yeah. What have you been playing? You play anything? You play obscure games?
- 32:26>> I've been playing a lot of not interesting. I've just really been
- 32:30playing games to get achievements like Colorful Boy 2 and >> Colorful Boy 2
- 32:36>> to Anubis Dungeon. There's a new [clears throat]
- 32:42>> The [ __ ] is Colorful Boy 2? >> It's just a little jumping game, but the
- 32:482D platformer. >> Yeah, I see it. All right. Um, there's a
- 32:52new genre of game that's come out that's very easy to get achievements on [laughter]
- 32:57>> going. >> And it's basically spot the difference games. [laughter]
- 33:03>> And yeah, >> to get the achievement on this game,
- 33:06you're meant to spot the difference. But because it's made for children, there's
- 33:10a button you can push that will skip the level >> and you just get the achievement
- 33:15>> and you get the achievement. So, I'm just getting that skipping it. Yeah.
- 33:20>> So you I mean I could if I slapped one of these together make some money.
- 33:27>> Yes. >> Yes. >> I'd hate that though. What What's this game called?
- 33:32>> Uh that was the last one I played was Shop and Spot Avenue.
- 33:37>> Shop and Spot Avenue. >> Yep.
- 33:43>> Shop and Spot Avenue. Oh, this looks like AI generated slop.
- 33:48It is. Look at this. Jesus Christ. >> And I'm gonna play through it three
- 33:52times. >> Yeah. Oh my god. And there's a new one
- 33:58coming out, Summer Seaside Search. That's coming out in June. I'll be
- 34:02playing that as well. Three times.
- 34:07>> Absurd. I need the achievements. >> Yeah.
- 34:12>> Oh man. This is all AI generated images. They just said, "Okay, now generate the
- 34:17same image and make five differences." And they just slapped it together. Like
- 34:22>> I wish I wasn't so [ __ ]
- 34:26>> If only I had less morals, [laughter] >> I could be taking advantage of people
- 34:31like you. >> I'm going to make five million by >> How much did you pay for that game?
- 34:38>> $5.
- 34:41So I'll get $15 out of me.
- 34:46Yeah. All right. All right. [clears throat and cough]
- 34:50I mean, honestly, that $5 that you've made your budget back. I don't think it
- 34:54cost very much to make that game. [snorts] >> Well, there's also the thing. It's I
- 34:59don't know if they actually sell that well either >> because it's a [ __ ] Unity. I
- 35:04guarantee it's made in Unity. They bought a [ __ ] template. Or not even
- 35:07bought. They just went to bought a got a [ __ ] game template, slapped their own
- 35:11art in. Whatever. I'm unreasonably annoyed about this [laughter]
- 35:17>> because on the >> because because I could do it but I
- 35:20won't. That's what annoys me about it. >> On the true Achievements uh site only 60
- 35:26people have completed the game. >> Well, that's good. >> The Windows version at least
- 35:32>> calc 60 times five 300 bucks and they wouldn't have got all of that. So, all
- 35:39right, good. >> And then 60 on the Xbox One version.
- 35:45and then 66 on the Series X version. So,
- 35:49>> so 186 total, I think, times five, >> it's like a,000 bucks. $930.
- 35:55>> It only came out a few days ago. >> Ah, all right. Fine. Anyway, whatever.
- 36:01It's easy money. >> Easy money. >> I'm saying that now. And the person who
- 36:07made that game is listening and they're like they're like [laughter] it's all
- 36:10they literally handdrew all this artwork and it's like labor of love and they're
- 36:14just like devastated that I'm [ __ ] on it. >> Johnny Lobster Interactive is the name
- 36:21of the publisher and developer. >> Johnny Lobster. >> Jolly Lobster.
- 36:25>> Jolly Lobster. Jolly Lobster
- 36:28Interactive. Where are you based?
- 36:32Full list of Xbox games published by Come on. [laughter]
- 36:39[gasps] >> They've released quite a few. >> Yeah. What are these [ __ ] games?
- 36:43Marshmallow Marvin. >> Finished all of them.
- 36:48>> Okay. Ah, man. See, I It's hard to tell, right? Here we go. Jolly Lobster Interactive.
- 36:55>> Who are you, Jolly Lobster? [laughter] Like
- 37:01I don't know, maybe this person really just does want to make good games. I
- 37:06don't know. And they found a games that work for them.
- 37:12>> Yeah, it's tough out there, I suppose. >> Yeah. And like look, so here's a game
- 37:17that came out a little while ago, Curious Copycats, which is one of the
- 37:22matching games. Like what's Spot the difference? >> Sure. Um, >> again
- 37:28>> on the Series X version that sold at least 656 copies.
- 37:34>> Again, no human drew this artwork. This is
- 37:40>> 500. >> This is just AI generated art. I mean, I think
- 37:47>> I think could be wrong. They're making money
- 37:53and I can get all the achievements in five minutes.
- 37:57>> I could be wrong about that. Maybe I'm being overly judgmental. Anyway, [snorts]
- 38:02[sighs] >> that's what I've been playing. >> Fun. >> Don't judge me.
- 38:08>> I can see why you like GTA 6. [laughter] >> I could probably load my Xbox up now and
- 38:14get all the achievements in one of those games while talking to you and you
- 38:17wouldn't even notice. I would because your Xbox you go because you
- 38:21>> Yeah, apart from turning it on. >> You always do that. All right,
- 38:26>> we've got some followup. >> Do you know why this is followup?
- 38:31>> I don't know if you've seen this up here. We were talking about how we were
- 38:36excited that a certain filmmaker was going to come back to do a sequel to
- 38:41House of the Dead, >> but apparently he's already back >> because >> what?
- 38:46>> Despite the fact that he had Uber Bowl had this [ __ ] rant a few years ago
- 38:53>> uh and quit, he's back and he's got a new movie out. It's called Citizen Vigilante.
- 38:59And I mean, I'm going to I want to watch this, but uh it it was originally called
- 39:05The Dark Knight. >> Mhm. >> Uh the Warner Brothers [laughter] sent him a letter and said,
- 39:11>> "No, it isn't." >> No, it's not. >> You sure about that?
- 39:15>> So, he [laughter] changed it to the Citizen Vigilante. Uh, and it's it stars
- 39:20Army Hammer, who uh, you may recall was accused of cannibalism at one point and
- 39:26kind [laughter] of got cancelled for being I don't want to get sued, but
- 39:31wasn't there like um, wasn't he accused of being an abusive or something like
- 39:36Hang on. Army Hammer allegations. What? Sexual assault allegations. I'm
- 39:42not saying he did anything. I'm just saying he was accused of doing stuff.
- 39:44That's all I'm That's all I'm saying. >> Yep. Accused. Not us.
- 39:47>> I don't know what he say anything. >> Right. So, he disappeared for a long time.
- 39:51>> So, anyway, he's in this uh he's the star of this and
- 39:56>> I mean this trailer looks it looks ubery. Let's say
- 40:02>> I think he needs to go back to computer games.
- 40:08>> That's that's what he's good at or bad and good at.
- 40:13this trailer right looks like half competent.
- 40:19>> I don't mean and I love Bol just because I think he's really interesting but and
- 40:25I just think he definitely thinks this
- 40:30is a good movie. >> Yes. And but when I like I said, you watch
- 40:35the trailer and it's just so like janky and you can just tell it's like I don't
- 40:41know. He's just not he doesn't quite get it. You know what I mean?
- 40:45>> Even with his rant, he was talking about his movies like should be
- 40:50>> at the cinemas alongside >> like his movie Spider-Man like
- 40:56>> Yeah. his movie Ashwitz comparing it to Schindler's List and he's just like
- 41:00Yeah. Yeah, he's he's a funny guy. Like >> I mean cuz I think he's serious. I don't
- 41:05think he's like >> being silly. I think he he's genuine. I
- 41:09like this doesn't look bad, but >> the trailer is just like you can just
- 41:15tell it's like >> it's not it's not there. You know what I mean?
- 41:19>> You can see why it's a straight to streaming. >> Yeah. Um so anyway, I'd like to watch
- 41:25this just to see what he's up to. >> Uh and like I said, I do like him. I
- 41:29just think he's very I think he's so interesting. I don't understand his
- 41:34choices sometimes, but you know, I just I like the world with him in it. >> Yes.
- 41:40>> You know, >> like he just amuses me. >> Well, with the fact that he's made this,
- 41:47there's more of a it's more likely that we're going to get that sequel to House
- 41:52of the Dead. >> I wonder how how do you get the money to do this? So, because
- 41:58the the reason he used to be able to do the reason he's famous is because he
- 42:03there was a tax loophole in Germany where he he could just pay people a [ __ ]
- 42:09ton of money because he get these investors in Germany and it was just
- 42:12massive tax write off for them. Yeah. >> So, invest in a film. That's my
- 42:15understanding. I'm not a lawyer or a accountant or anything like that. That's
- 42:18my understanding. So, the reason he was able to get all these big names like
- 42:22when he did the Dungeon Siege movie, he had like Jason Staithm and Cla Fani and
- 42:27[ __ ] just uh Ray Leotaa and like just all you you
- 42:32go, "Oh, this has actual actors in it." Like, >> yes. You got real It's not just a
- 42:38getting anyone off the street. He's getting names. >> Yeah. And like Alone in the Duck had
- 42:41Christian Slater in it and uh and Yeah.
- 42:44So, so there was a reason he was getting notices because he had
- 42:50these bign name actor Ron Pearlman was instame actors because he could give them a lot
- 42:55of money. >> Uh, and then he would make this movie
- 42:58and then everyone would be like the [ __ ] is this [ __ ]
- 43:00>> Um, but but it went on for a long time. But I think they fixed that. Like they
- 43:05didn't fix that. I think Germany got rid of that. And so, uh, yeah. So, I just
- 43:10wonder how he's managing to pull this off now. [laughter]
- 43:15>> Yeah. Well, he's got to have someone investing >> because
- 43:20they know who he is. >> Yes. >> Surely, right? And they know this is like a
- 43:26>> still got that name behind him. >> Yeah.
- 43:30>> But I don't know. Look, I'm just Please make House of the Dead.
- 43:36>> Yes. Here's another one. >> I guess the the kindest thing I can say
- 43:39about Citizen of Vigilante is based on the trailer, it looks fine.
- 43:42>> Fine. Yep. I skimmed it. It's not a movie for me. >> No,
- 43:47>> it looks like just one of these guy just has to run around and shoot at people to
- 43:53try and save something for some reason. >> It follows a man called Sanders, a
- 43:57wealthy American businessman living living in Zagreb. Zagreb who I can't I
- 44:01don't know how to pronounce that city. Zagreb I think is right. who has
- 44:03inherited a massive real estate empire. Intelligent, isolated, and emotionally
- 44:07scarred, he transforms into a feared underground vigilante. Targets violent
- 44:12criminals, rapists, and corrupt judges who escape meaningful punishment through
- 44:14the legal system. He's Batman. >> Yeah. >> But with a gun.
- 44:20>> But I emotionally scarred. Like, yeah, he is just Batman, but it
- 44:27just sort of seems weird. I've just inherited all this money and now I'm
- 44:30just going to go and fight violent criminals for some reason. >> That's Batman.
- 44:35>> Yeah. >> In a city has >> And that's why it was called The Dark
- 44:40Knight until they said, "No, it's not." [laughter] >> Yeah.
- 44:46>> Yeah. I I I'm going to be skipping this one. >> Yeah.
- 44:52Oh, yeah. In the comments. So, he's the Punisher without the tragic backstory.
- 44:55And then someone else says, "Or Batman without the costume." [laughter]
- 45:00>> Mhm. >> Anyway, >> Citizen Vigilante. And then hopefully, >> although
- 45:07>> everybody go out, everybody go out and watch Citizen Vigilante so that he gets
- 45:10to make House of the Dead 28, >> no 28 years later, Castle, 27 years
- 45:16later, Castle, whatever the [ __ ] his stupid name he's come up with. [laughter]
- 45:20I was actually just about to say that. Like, let's let's actually watch this
- 45:24>> because that's insane. It's clearly a ripoff of 28 years later, but like
- 45:29>> I don't know if he realizes how nuts it sounds or if he's sincere. You know what
- 45:35I mean? >> I think he knows what he's doing there. >> I can't tell with him.
- 45:38>> I just can't tell.
- 45:44>> When he remember when he beat the [ __ ] out of Lotex and like all those film
- 45:47critics, like he literally challenged them to a fight and they thought it was
- 45:51a joke and it wasn't a joke. >> No, [laughter] he wouldn't dare to shoot them.
- 45:56>> Punched the [ __ ] out of them in a in a boxing ring. He said, "I he
- 46:00said, "You hate my movies? Step into a boxing ring and say it to my face."
- 46:04[laughter] And then he organized this whole big stunt and they all thought
- 46:07this will just be a fun joke and he beat the [ __ ] out of them.
- 46:13>> Yeah, cuz it wasn't a joke to him. That was >> That's what I mean. I just don't I I
- 46:18just like I'm just happy that he's around, you know? He amuses me endlessly.
- 46:26>> All right, so what else do we have? Oh, we've got the Lego the Lego drama.
- 46:32>> This thing this [ __ ] confuses me. And this article, I got to say this is a
- 46:35terrible article, but I tried to get through it. This is on uh Tech Dirt
- 46:40because I was like, "Oh, Tech I, for some reason, I was like, "Oh, that's a
- 46:42good website." This article is very confusing. Um,
- 46:46>> oh my god, this article goes forever. >> Yeah, and I understand because it's this
- 46:50is a convoluted, complicated situation. >> It's all It's really weird cuz I've been
- 46:57following it a little bit and >> Yeah. And I agree with what cuz lawyers
- 47:03are now starting to do reviews on saying everyone should have just engaged in a
- 47:07lawyer at the very start of this and we would not be here.
- 47:10>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, the pro my problem with this article is this that it it
- 47:13like it it tries to squeeze it's it's such a long complicated thing and then
- 47:17it just starts mentioning people by surname without having ever mentioned
- 47:20who they are before. And I just had to go back and forth to to pass this all
- 47:24out, but basically what's happened is and if you haven't heard about this,
- 47:26there's basically a a Lego uh issue happening at the moment on the internet.
- 47:33And it's because, and you could correct me if I'm wrong, I'll do a quick summary. Right.
- 47:38There's an elderly man >> somewhere in the world, somewhere in the
- 47:41US, who in the '9s realized Star Wars Lego was probably going to be valuable,
- 47:48so he started buying it all every time. >> And I I actually hate him for that
- 47:52because he took it away from people who wanted to build it.
- 47:55>> Yeah. So, he would buy Star Wars Lego to put away because he was going to use it
- 48:00to pay for his kids' college in the future. He was going to sell it and use
- 48:03the money to pay for his kids' college. That's my understanding of it. And then
- 48:08he's in his what 80s now? >> 80s 83 I think. >> And he
- 48:14I think up to 10 years ago. >> Yeah. But like a while ago, like 10
- 48:19years ago maybe he went to this place, but you may have seen them around if
- 48:23you're in the US. There's one in here in in Rhode Island. It's called Bricks and
- 48:27Miniigs, and it's a Lego reseller basically, right?
- 48:32>> They sell like all the kits secondhand, and I think new as well, right? It's a
- 48:36Lego store. >> Yeah. >> Third party Lego store.
- 48:39>> He went to them and for many years now they've been selling them on consignment
- 48:45for him. >> Yes. >> So they put them in the store. >> It's slightly different to how they
- 48:49normally work. Normally they would buy the Lego off you. >> Right.
- 48:53>> And then it's theirs. But this one they've done on consignment. And the
- 48:57deal was done with his son because his son wants to pay his medical costs with it.
- 49:01>> Right. Right. >> So on consignment the deal was they
- 49:04would sell it. They would give him 65% and then they would keep the rest.
- 49:09>> Wow. It's a good deal for them. >> Yeah. >> Seems to me. I don't know how
- 49:12consignment normally works, but I mean, I know how it works, but but like I
- 49:16don't know how much money they usually get. Yeah. So, basically, they put it in
- 49:19the store, they advertise, they sell, >> and they take cut of the profit. >> Yep.
- 49:25>> Uh, so that's been going on for a long
- 49:27time now. But then in uh in was it
- 49:33Trump's second election? Uh Trump got elected the second time and apparently
- 49:38the the owner of the store is married to
- 49:43a guy who publishes some Antifa related. >> Oh, I didn't know that.
- 49:49>> Right. So yeah. So that's what I'm saying. This whole story is so [ __ ] convoluted. So
- 49:54>> So this is a franchise, right? This bricks and mini figs is a franchise. the
- 49:58the the lady who owns it or owned it, her husband was involved in something
- 50:04that was a problem for the given the fact that that that Trump was a
- 50:08president and they Antifa was, you know, like a terrorist organization, blah blah
- 50:13blah. They got worried and they were like, "We need to leave the country." >> Yeah.
- 50:16>> And so she said to Bricks and Minifigs, I'm giving up. I'm selling the
- 50:22franchise. >> Yeah. >> And uh because of this. And that they
- 50:26said I guess freaked out and they said well no we're taking it off you.
- 50:32>> Yes. And they did it sort of immediately like >> and they sent people out and said it's
- 50:37their franchise now. >> Yeah. >> And the short version is that now there
- 50:43they've said well we don't know what we know anything about this arrangement
- 50:46with this guy. That's our Lego. >> Yep. >> The Star Wars Lego. Even though they
- 50:50were told there's video of them being told when she was getting kicked out
- 50:53like hold on there's a list of this is this guy's Lego and
- 50:57>> yeah that's and the problem with all of this is that like [laughter]
- 51:02[cough] [ __ ] filming things recording conversations doing all stuff nobody has
- 51:07ever talked to a lawyer. >> No. And then >> so so there's been this big dispute
- 51:13going on between them and they've been
- 51:17recording things and then this YouTuber >> uh [ __ ] what's his name?
- 51:22>> Reckless Ben. Reckless Ben has involved himself and he's been doing stunts like
- 51:27yes going to the bricks and minifigs office and demanding to speak to the CEO
- 51:31and like getting arrested in the lobby of the office and
- 51:36>> driving around to their house giving out their home addresses on on um live
- 51:41streams and then people have been harassing them all this kind of stuff
- 51:43and he's been arrested a bunch of times >> for that and then bricks and mini figs
- 51:48sent a cease and desist to Patreon to try and get [gasps] reckless. Love the
- 51:53response that Patreon gave. >> Yeah. So, Jack Gy from Patreon did a
- 51:56video where he said, "Yeah, look, we're very concerned about this and we just
- 52:00want to say, "Fuck you. We're not taking his page down." [laughter] >> Yes.
- 52:05>> Yeah. So, >> see, the problem is is Yeah. Everyone >> convoluted
- 52:12>> handled this wrong. And now like even Rick Spenn is going like there's a
- 52:15conspiracy because [snorts] the people who took over the ownership are Mormon
- 52:19and the police are Mormon. So it's a whole conspiracy with them. >> Oh, cuz it's in Ohio.
- 52:24>> Yeah. So they're all like it's a whole conspiracy why they doing Sorry. Utah.
- 52:28>> Utah. Yeah. >> Is it in Utah? >> Utah. >> Yeah, it is.
- 52:32>> Whole conspiracy with that. Um. >> Huh. >> And then the problem is
- 52:39>> cuz no one's because they've gone about it this way with the video and the doing
- 52:43all these stunts and everything without talking to lawyers. [laughter]
- 52:47Yes. And the fact that like the people who bought it, everyone's pointing the
- 52:51fingers at everyone else. >> Yeah. >> They're saying like, "No, the original
- 52:56owner sold it and kept the money." >> Um or she kept some of the Legos and she
- 53:01did have some of the Legos at her house. >> Oh, really?
- 53:05>> And that she brought them back. I think it was because they've been breaking so
- 53:08she was trying or there was just too much >> again. It's so complicated. Like what?
- 53:14>> But she's returned them. Um they've reckless been trying to serve them
- 53:19papers to go to court and the police just kept rocking up and
- 53:26now Bricks and Minigs have now taken franchise off those two owners. >> Oh, the new guys.
- 53:32>> Yeah. Okay. >> Because they're going like, "You've
- 53:37handed this horribly and it's starting to give us a really bad name."
- 53:41>> Yeah, man. And it's affecting other franchises who have nothing to do with
- 53:45it because it is a franchise. >> Cuz I Googled it and I was like, "What
- 53:49is this place?" And I was like, "Oh, there's one in Warwick." Like,
- 53:51>> and I'm like, "I wonder if people are mad at them."
- 53:54>> Yep. But people are starting to write terrible reviews. It's starting to
- 53:57affect the other franchises. So, I think they've closed down that bricks and
- 54:03minifigs for the time being. >> Far out, man. So convoluted. But then there's other
- 54:10things like reckless band and this is where he's sort of going like it's a
- 54:13whole conspiracy like he got pulled over and was told oh we were told you had
- 54:18heroin in the car. Yeah, I heard I saw that >> and then did a big search and everything
- 54:23and >> it seems like the police have been following him around which is
- 54:26>> yeah is unusual like it's >> and there was also
- 54:31>> I don't know if you saw this there was they were all arrested at their Airbnb
- 54:35>> because allegedly the owner or something heard something they were talking about
- 54:40stolen Legos. >> So they got a warrant and went in with guns out
- 54:47>> in case they throw Lego at them or something >> and their reason was to arrest them for
- 54:53stalking charges and to look for stolen Lego. >> They're not doing that type of thing
- 54:58with a normal stalker. >> Yeah. >> Like it's they the way the cops have
- 55:04seem to be reacting seems to be over the top with what they would normally be doing.
- 55:08>> It see but then like devil's advocate he is out there wasting their time a lot at
- 55:13the moment. >> Yes. But then at the other side of it is
- 55:17all they the cop was go look I'll take the papers and I'll serve him
- 55:21>> and he went no I don't want them and he went no he doesn't want them and it's
- 55:25like he could have just gone you're served and that's it pro that whole thing 3 seconds
- 55:30>> over >> and would have shut that down
- 55:36>> so it's still going but I think everyone's got to the point where like
- 55:41yeah people just should have engaged lawyers at the very start.
- 55:45>> Yeah. Yeah. Because now, like I said, it's just such a me and like this, like
- 55:49I didn't even know that bit about, you know, she'd taken bits of the Lego home
- 55:52because there were breakins. It's like there's so many things in it where it's just like
- 55:56>> [ __ ] hell, man. >> It's just so complicated now
- 56:00>> because people have just been doing all this weird [ __ ] >> Yeah.
- 56:03And because the internet's now involved, they're going out and they're review
- 56:07bombing all these other sites and calling other stores that have nothing
- 56:13to do with it. You got So, it's actually affecting other people's livelihoods for
- 56:18no reason. >> And it's like the Lego is worth a couple
- 56:21hundred grand. It's not like millions of dollars or anything.
- 56:25>> No. So, I mean, not that like not that a couple hundred grand is nothing, but it
- 56:30does seem silly for all this drama. Like, >> and I was watching um Legal Mindset is
- 56:35one of the lawyers I watch every now and again, and he's basically saying, look,
- 56:38there would have been plenty of lawyers around that would have taken this on
- 56:41free at the start, go and will will agree on a percentage that I get once
- 56:46everything's sorted. >> Is it legal mindset the guy who you
- 56:51know, we don't have to I should double check before I say this. >> [sighs]
- 56:56>> I'm not aware of him doing anything. >> Oh, I'll uh I'll send you something if
- 57:01this is the right person. [laughter] >> Well, he's still on YouTube, so
- 57:06>> Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, it's nothing that he did that was like
- 57:09illegal. It's okay. I I'll uh >> Okay, >> I I'll follow up. We'll follow up on that.
- 57:14>> I'll go with Legal Eagle then. I watched him >> Legal Eagle. As far as I'm aware, Legal
- 57:18Eagle is is above board. [laughter]
- 57:22But it's just been a in crazy thing
- 57:28and yeah, I just could have been sorted out so easily.
- 57:35Yeah. Yeah, it is the same. It is the person. All right, I'm going to send you
- 57:39this anyway later. I'll send it later. >> Okay. [laughter]
- 57:43>> I'm interested to see. >> Uh yeah. So anyway, stay tuned for Lego
- 57:50more Lego. It just I remember seeing stuff about it
- 57:55a few weeks ago and then it's just been growing and growing and growing to this.
- 58:01>> Yes. >> All the time >> and like I said, I tried to find an
- 58:04article that summarized it. I mean, this article tries, but like
- 58:07>> it's [snorts] it even loses the plot inside of itself. So, I'll link to it
- 58:13because it's got the good thing about this article is it's got a lot of the
- 58:15videos embedded in it so [clears throat] you can you can follow along. But it's just like
- 58:20>> I I think they tried to put far too much in here. [laughter]
- 58:24>> They they needed to summarize this. >> Yeah. Well, it's I think they did.
- 58:28That's why I think I think they've written this and then they've tried to
- 58:31like strip it down. But then there's bits where like in there's a paragraph
- 58:34down here where they start talking about um they they okay so it says here in
- 58:39November 2024 as you may have heard Donald Trump was elected Crystal's
- 58:44partner Ben Gman and I was reading this I was like who the [ __ ] is Crystal? So I
- 58:47did a search copy paste Crystal. That is the first time that name comes up.
- 58:52>> She's the owner. [laughter] I had to like figure that out because like I
- 58:57said, I think they must have at some point earlier in the article explained
- 59:01that and then like get rid of this, get rid of this, get rid of this. Like too
- 59:05much information. But then they've lost the bit where they said who the [ __ ]
- 59:08Crystal was. >> So anyway, yeah. >> Complicated.
- 59:14>> It's very complicated for >> for something so stupid. >> Yes.
- 59:18>> And I just feel bad for this old man. Like just give him his money. Give me
- 59:22his money or his Lego back. >> Yeah. Well, he doesn't want the Lego. He
- 59:26wants the money. That's the whole He bought the Lego. He wanted the money.
- 59:28Give him the money. >> There's also there's allegations that
- 59:30Yeah. that it's not worth that much money. That's just a figure that they've >> Oh.
- 59:36>> said. >> Well, it's worth what anyone will pay for it, I guess. >> Yeah.
- 59:39>> That's what my dad always used to say. >> Like, but there's some I've got I'm It's
- 59:44crazy. Like, there's an incredible rare cloud city set that's worth more than
- 59:48$10,000. Who's paying $10,000 for Lego? You would if you had the money.
- 59:53>> Yeah, but I'd build it. It would be worthless. >> That's [laughter] Sorry, I didn't I
- 59:58didn't specify what you were going to do with it. I just said you'd buy it.
- 1:00:01>> No, I I'm still I'm upset with this man that this man went in just had them
- 1:00:06sitting there for years when I could have been building them. >> It's an investment.
- 1:00:11>> It shouldn't be. They're children's toys. It's like Pokémon cards.
- 1:00:16>> I found out I've got a delayed birthday present on the way. Ooh.
- 1:00:20>> Hopefully it's going to happen because I think it's sold out so I don't know. But
- 1:00:24it's Lego and it's >> Is it a rare Cloud City set? >> No, no, no. It is space. It's from a
- 1:00:30recent movie. Is the Hail Mary. >> Ooh. >> And I really want that, but I think I
- 1:00:36don't know. I don't know if it's going to happen because I got given uh a
- 1:00:41placeholder cuz apparently they're waiting for more of them, but I don't
- 1:00:44know if there's going to be any more of them. >> No, that LEGO's pretty good with this
- 1:00:47type of stuff. >> Oh, okay. Well, hopefully >> I'll let you know. But I want to build
- 1:00:52it because it like rotates and everything. Like you got a little
- 1:00:55spinner you can write. It looks sick. >> I'm very excited.
- 1:00:58>> If you're going through the Lego store, they're normally pretty good with the
- 1:01:04>> It's from what they do. >> Yeah. Yeah. It's on back order, so I
- 1:01:08could I could still order one right now. >> All right. Well,
- 1:01:12I've been given a placeholder, and I'm just very excited.
- 1:01:16>> Yeah. Actually, I might buy it as well. It's not that >> crazy.
- 1:01:20>> No, no, no. [clears throat] It's got a little Rocky and a little Grace. >> Yeah.
- 1:01:25>> Yeah. Looks sick. I'm excited. And like Yeah. You turn It starts in like travel
- 1:01:31mode and then you can like switch it to like what do you call it? You know,
- 1:01:34rotating. What do you call >> rotating? Gravity, [snorts]
- 1:01:38>> right? It's got a name. Can't remember it. Centrifugal mode. Something like that.
- 1:01:44Oh, and if I was to buy it, I'd get a gift with this purchase.
- 1:01:48>> What's the gift? You don't know. >> Um, it would be I get gift with this
- 1:01:53purchase, too. I get a Star Trek type 15 shuttle pod.
- 1:02:00>> And get your dawn as a gift with your purchase of Lego. What?
- 1:02:05>> So, you This reminded me a little while back. I think I sent this to you guys.
- 1:02:10Somebody I'm going to put this in the uh in the in the in the in the show notes. Um,
- 1:02:15uh, I'll put under followup for now. >> Yep.
- 1:02:21>> Fetching item name. Come on. Oh, it
- 1:02:24didn't work. All right. Uh,
- 1:02:29somebody put in the Lego ideas. It's the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Lego set.
- 1:02:33>> Oh, yes. Where the front of it is the library and the back is the bronze. Uh,
- 1:02:37and it's got all the characters and it looks sick and it uh got enough supporters
- 1:02:42>> supporters that they'll look into it. >> Yeah, it says they're reviewing it. So,
- 1:02:46I don't know. Hopefully that that uh that pans out cuz I would buy that.
- 1:02:50>> I would buy it as well. And the thing is it's not going to be a crazy expensive set.
- 1:02:55>> I wouldn't think so. It's quite small. >> Yeah, >> but yeah, it's got
- 1:03:01>> remind us that Xander is dead. Um, well,
- 1:03:07we've got some other unfortunate Buffy news, but that is for the afterparty.
- 1:03:12>> Oh, well, how can people get to hear that? >> If they head to patreon.com/multiple
- 1:03:17nerdgasm, they can support the show financially, which is always greatly
- 1:03:22appreciated because it's not free. >> I mean, we would do it for free, but we
- 1:03:26wouldn't be able to do it this way for free because this particular method of
- 1:03:29recording it cost money. >> It cost us money. It's better in the red.
- 1:03:34>> Yeah. patreon.com/moggasm. Uh for $1 a month you can support the
- 1:03:37show and we would really we really appreciate it. You get the show early as
- 1:03:40a result and you also get to join the Patreon community and uh if you sign up
