  So I think I'll entitle this, Who Are We to God and Who is He to Us?

  You know, I'm talking to people, mostly strangers every day, mostly people who don't know God.

  And I hear all this information, and sometimes I wonder if the church is just too churchy or too academic or is kind of off subject and not talking about it at all.

  But one way or the other, I mean, God is so simple to me.

  Yeah.
• 0:31
  I've been in it all my life, okay?

  I'm multi-generational.
• 0:34
  I have no excuse.

  Most sides of my family going back to grandparents and what on.

  But I've been taught the message of God and who God is every which way, every which way you could possibly imagine.

  And it's very clear to me.

  It's amazing how this message, and it's so clear, is not understood by most people.

  And I try to, when I'm in church, I try to listen to the message through the ears of somebody who doesn't know God.

  And I kind of get the message, you know.

  So, I don't know.

  I thought maybe I could do a little social media post here that explains God through the eyes of a guy who pedals car wax.

  Yeah.

  You know, who is God?

  I mean, he's eternal.

  Can you understand eternal?

  He always was and always will be.
• 1:26
  Do you understand a God that is so mighty that he's 200 billion light years away from us right now?

  And he's right here.
• 1:33
  And he's with you before you started watching this.

  He's with us always.
• 1:38
  He never leaves us.
• 1:41
  He's so, he's magnificent.

  omnipresent, omnipresent.

  He's everywhere at once.

  Our minds can't even get around that somehow.

  That's how the largeness of God is just overwhelming.

  He's everywhere.

  He's always been, and he spoke the universe into existence.

  He just spoke it.

  Boom.

  That's how big God is.

  By gracious sakes, it's just, how can we begin to comprehend a God?

  And then how can we comprehend the fact that he decided to make us out of nothing, right?

  Forget all the scriptures about all the whyfares and wherefores and it was this and that.

  Just the big picture.

  I'm going to give you a big picture right here.

  He made us.
• 2:38
  And he made us for eternity, right?

  He made us to spend eternity with him.
• 2:44
  Do you understand that?

  Everything I'm saying to you right now is absolutely scriptural.

  And I could take the time with the Bible right now, but this is going to be a cursory education, perhaps, to help you understand quickly who God is.

  He's amazing.

  And love is not just an attribute.

  He is love.
• 3:06
  If we were in the hands of an angry God, he would have wiped us out a long time ago.

  If he wasn't loving, why would he even have made us?

  And if he wasn't loving, why would he put up with us?

  I mean, come on.

  We don't deserve anything.
• 3:23
  But he made us, and he made us in his own image.

  And he made us for eternity.

  This is the important thing.

  Remember, he didn't make us for earth.

  Why would he go through this whole process creating us?

  It was for a hundred years and over.
• 3:35
  He's eternal.
• 3:37
  Why would he do that for a moment in time?

  He wouldn't do that.
• 3:40
  That's just a waste of time.

  So what's earth all about, really?

  And the way I look at it, it's kind of like boot camp.

  And we'll either fail boot camp or we'll graduate out of boot camp.

  And that's your decision.

  Okay.

  Because he gives us enough time in our hundred years or so, whenever we live on this earth, to figure out, to hear who he is and then decide to follow him.

  My pastor, Luke Barnett, on Sunday said, we're either an admirer or a follower.

  Many of you know who he is.
• 4:13
  You know who he is.
• 4:15
  You honor who he is.
• 4:16
  You know he's the son of God.

  But you're not a follower of him.
• 4:23
  You understand, contrary to what most of you think, you can't earn your way into heaven.

  I have so many car guy friends.
• 4:31
  The car guys are the best guys on the planet, man.

  You just can't get any better.
• 4:34
  They're the most caring, generous people around the world.

  I've met them all over the world.
• 4:39
  They're all the same.
• 4:40
  It's an incredible hobby that I'm a part of, the car hobby.

  I love it.
• 4:44
  My problem is in the car hobby that most car guys are so good that,

  compared to most of the people around them, that they can't possibly believe that God would send them to hell.

  And the final thought is, there's no way.
• 4:59
  He's just not going to send me to hell.

  He's a loving God.
• 5:02
  He wouldn't do that to me.
• 5:03
  And he doesn't.
• 5:05
  He doesn't send anybody to hell.

  He made us for heaven.
• 5:11
  God made you for heaven.
• 5:15
  But he gave you this thing called free choice.
• 5:19
  Free choice.
• 5:19
  That means he gives you the choice.
• 5:24
  We're born with a sinful nature.
• 5:25
  We're prone to sin.
• 5:27
  I mean, if you think you don't sin, I think the scripture says, if you say you have no sin, there's no truth in you at all.

  That's a lie.
• 5:36
  But even if you just had one bad thought one time, the fact of the matter is God is holy and pure.

  And heaven is pure.
• 5:44
  And it can't tolerate any sin whatsoever.

  And our sin is legendary.

  I mean, the scriptures defined our sin as, there's none righteous.
• 5:56
  None of us are righteous.
• 5:57
  I can speak for myself.

  I don't know about you.
• 5:59
  There's none righteous, none righteous.

  Another one says our righteousness is as filthy rags.
• 6:06
  One says it's as straight as the law.
• 6:08
  You know, the law of Moses, as straight as the law.

  It's not that we can make it.
• 6:13
  It's meant to show us how crooked we are.
• 6:15
  He came to show us,
• 6:18
  Judaism with all its laws really with the old times how we can't make it in our own we just can't do that it's impossible and then Jesus the Messiah came and he sent his son to die the most horrible death in the history of mankind there's never been a more horrible way to die it's just horrific and he did that giving his blood as a sacrifice as a pardon for our sin do you understand

  He created us for heaven, but you say, well, why didn't he just make me perfect?

  You know, why do we have all this?

  Why do we have all these things going on?

  Why is there so much evil in the world?

  He didn't make evil.

  He made us, right?
• 7:02
  Then he gave us free choice.

  And we're all driven by going the wrong ways.

  And there's a lot of evil in thoughts of men.

  And then there's Satan.

  He allows us to prowl around like an angry lion, seeking who he can devour.

  And he doesn't necessarily do that in horrible ways.

  A lot of times he does it as an angel of light.
• 7:22
  Gee, I think I'll start having car rallies on Sundays.

  That's a good idea.
• 7:28
  I'm going to play.
• 7:29
  I'm going to be religious.
• 7:30
  I'm going to play golf every Sunday morning.
• 7:31
  I'm going to ride my bike every Sunday morning.
• 7:33
  We have all these things we can do.

  Instead of being...

  Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.

  It's one of the Ten Commandments.

  It makes it very clear.

  Don't forsake the assembling of the saints.

  Not just coming together, but as soon as we come together as one...

  That's how we overcome this world.

  He said, don't forsake that.

  You say you love God.

  I love God, but you don't spend any time with you.

  How do you love somebody and not spend time with you?

  I love my wife, but I never with her.

  Oh, and by the way, when you love something, whatever you love, you talk about it a lot.

  I mean, a lot.

  You know, I tell people every day how much I love my wife.

  You know why?

  She's amazing.

  I love her.

  And so I tell people, everybody knows how much I love my wife.

  And I love cars.

  I love shiny paint finishes.

  You know, on and on it goes.

  But you talk about whatever you love.

  If you're not talking about God, you don't necessarily... At least he's not your first love.

  In Revelation chapter 2...

  God speaks to the church.
• 8:42
  People are going to church.
• 8:43
  He says, I know you go to church.
• 8:45
  I know you give sacrifices.
• 8:47
  You give your time.
• 8:48
  You know, good teaching for bad, but I have this against you.
• 8:51
  I'm no longer your first love, but I'm not saying you're not on your way to heaven, but I'm no longer your first love.

  You don't longer, there's something else in your life you love more.

  What do you mean by love?

  I mean, what do you think about?

  What's your passion?

  What do you dream about?

  What do you put your energy into?

  What do you put your money into?

  Your cars?

  Your sports?
• 9:14
  Your family?

  Your grandkids?

  Your bike?
• 9:19
  I go to church and say, where do I see these guys?

  Same guys?
• 9:23
  Sweating.
• 9:25
  I mean, unbelievable.

  Working up, getting their muscles toned.
• 9:31
  I drive by a golf course every Sunday morning to see out there servicing their God without even thought of being in church.

  God made us from nothing for eternity.
• 9:45
  And we can't even give him an hour in church on Sunday mornings.

  How would you like it if you did that?
• 9:50
  And they just turned their face on you and walked away.
• 9:55
  It's your choice.
• 9:57
  You could choose this world, the things of this world,

  Or you can recognize that God made you and sent a son to die in that cross for you as a pardon to give you.

  The only way you could possibly get into the purity, the holiness of heaven is through what he did, the sacrifice for you with your name.

  You know, he knew your name before the foundation of the world.

  He knit you in your mother's room.
• 10:23
  Do you know he did that?

  this whole abortion issue, it's not about the fetus.
• 10:29
  He knew you before the foundation of the world.
• 10:31
  He had plans for you and where you'd be right now before the foundation of the world.

  I mean, it kind of blows the whole abortion thing out of those smithereens.

  We're fearfully made by God.
• 10:44
  And He's been with you every moment of your life.
• 10:46
  And He's continually worked to bring you close to Him.

  He's given you so many opportunities because He loves you.

  Do you know he knows your every thought?

  There's scriptures to back all this up, folks.

  He knows your every thought.

  Do you know he knows what you're going to say before you say it?

  Do you know his thoughts of you are like the grains of sand?

  That's how much he thinks of you.

  You, not you.
• 11:15
  Not of you like a million people.

  Of you, personally with you.
• 11:20
  That's his desire for you.

  And you can't think of picking up the Bible or going to church or honoring him.

  That breaks his heart.

  There's two places you can go.

  Everybody's going to stand before judgment.

  There's the white throne judgment that judges those who have not accepted him.

  And let me tell you, if that moment, Satan will distract you.

  He wants to distract you to the very end.
• 11:55
  I have so many of you say, I know I'm going to make that decision someday.

  And then boom, and they're gone.

  And I've lost another friend.

  Because they put it off one day too long.

  I have one particular friend, 84 years old.

  I said, do you understand you're 84?
• 12:16
  You're playing with fire.

  I'm not just for yourself.

  Your wife, your kids, your grandkids, they all depend on you.

  Do you realize how desperate this moment is?

  And he walks away saying, yes, I'll think about that.

  Kills me how many friends I have.

  I love that are great.
• 12:40
  They're better than most Christians that I know.
• 12:42
  But it's not about how good you are.
• 12:45
  It's how good he is.
• 12:47
  And he sent a son to die for you on the cross.

  That you can have eternal life.

  Joint heirs.
• 12:53
  He gives you joint heir status.
• 12:55
  He says he's not going to put you in heaven.

  He'll make you a joint heir with this holy son, Jesus Christ.

  Can you believe that?

  For those of you who know me, you see me in public places.

  Why is it whenever I get up on the stage, I'm always talking about God?

  Why is it in every group conversation, I'm always talking about God?

  Why is it when I'm on you 101, I'm going to mention God?

  Because I don't want to lose you.

  It's why I love the cars and the fun and the meals and the vacations and all that.

  I love it all, but it doesn't control me.

  And it's a moment, it's gone.

  Do you understand that?

  It's a point of demand.

  wants to die, and then the judgment.
• 13:48
  And that story decided when you die, you can't argue your way into heaven.

  There's a thing called the Lamb's Book of Life, and when you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, your name's written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

  And then you're a reward for what you've done.

  And you know what?

  When you get to heaven, you know the one thing that's going to matter more than anything else.

  How many other people are in heaven because of your influence?

  So just getting saved in one step.

  But for those of you who are already saved and just going on through life and just probably not even going to church and you're going out and doing the rallies and stuff and think about God once in a while and be good.

  But never think about the people around you.

  Your friends, your best friends are lost.
• 14:33
  They're lost.
• 14:36
  And they're blinded.
• 14:37
  Satan blinds their eyes.

  They see good is evil and evil is good.

  That's why these kids are marching in the streets.

  They're lost.
• 14:45
  They're not evil.

  They're lost.

  Satan has them confused.

  The people don't go to church.

  You're going to stay lost until you, you and I, we get them unlost.

  Everybody tell you how much God loves them.

  That's what we're called to do.

  That is the Great Commission.

  God loves you.

  The God Almighty who made it all.

  Look at the stars.

  He spoke that in existence.

  And he made you for eternity.

  You act like there is no hell.

  First off, you think you won't go down.

  Secondly, you don't even hardly believe in hell.

  Do you know there's more scriptures on hell than there is on heaven?

  Yeah.

  Let me put it this way, I'll close.

  If there's anything he put in our hearts is good and bad, and more importantly, rewards and punishments.

  You tell your child, you do this, you're going to get grounded.

  If you do that, I'm going to ground you for a year.

  We get that there's different levels of severity of punishment, don't we?

  So just to give us the ultimate incentive plan, God created a hell that only God could create.

  You say, why would God create a hell like that?

  He didn't create it for you.

  He created it for Satan.

  Satan.

  And his legion of demons, that's why he created it.

  It's the worst possible thing.

  If you haven't read it, I mean, the fire, the darkness, the loneliness, and the shrieking, and the worms, I mean, it goes on and on and on.

  And the worst part of it, it never ends.

  Do you understand?

  It never ends.

  If I've just been put in a dark room, alone, all by yourself, and that was it.

  We didn't have any of that horrible stuff, the shrieking and the demons and all that.

  I just had a room by myself.

  I can't stand that for a day.

  How about for the rest of your life?

  Can you imagine being in a dark room by yourself for the rest of your life?

  And the worst part is it's forever.

  Do you understand?

  Eternity is what we're talking about.

  And we're worried about cars and having fun and being a good dad.

  We need to do all that.

  It doesn't mean you can't go on rallies and stuff.

  I love cars.

  But put it in perspective, this is eternity.

  You talk about your friends and your family, your grandkids.

  being in hell forever because you didn't stand up and make that commitment and then decide you're going to get everybody you can into heaven?

  Eternity.

  Amazing grace, this song, when we've been there, meaning in heaven, 10,000 years, we've only just begun.

  Do you realize that could just easily be when we've been there 10 million years?

  Or 10 billion years who have only just begun because it is.

  There's no end to eternity.

  And when you're in heaven, you think what you have, sure.

  He gave you the ultimate reward and the ultimate punishment, both.

  To keep you from going the wrong way.

  Yet the scripture says very clearly, the masses, most will go to the broad opening, to the gates of hell.

  And only few will go through the narrow gate.

  Few will find it.

  That doesn't have to be them.

  That can be you.

  Don't miss heaven.

  And I pray you settle that now.

  Please, I beg you, Holy Spirit, convict people listening to me right now.

  I've had hard hearts to realize they're going to live, you're going to live for eternity somewhere.

  But there we go in an instant.

  And by the way, we can work for our government and we should do that.

  It goes well for us if we persevere and uplift our company for godly reasons and do all the right things.

  In a moment, it's not going to matter if you're American or Chinese or Ukraine or whatever.

  That's not going to be what's going to be asked.

  Did you accept Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior?

  That's the only thing that will matter.

  It's that, it's just between you and God.

  He sent his son, Jesus, to die the horrible agony of that cross for you, knowing your name, so that you can make it to heaven.

  It's a gift, but it's not your gift until you receive it, and I pray.

  Oh, I pray, holy God, that those listening to me right now that have not made that decision will make it now.

  for all of eternity, so I could be with you in eternity forever.

  Guys, this is the greatest, it's the single most important decision for you to make in your entire lifetime.
