[SPEAKER_07]: A swarm of earthquakes started at Mount Reneer and a swarm of earthquakes are a grouping of earthquakes that are happening in the same space in close together in time.

[SPEAKER_07]: And so we had an increase in activity in in seismic activity up to about 26 events an hour, which is a pretty good.

[SPEAKER_07]: occur in cycles and so these a lot of these eruptions will be confined to cycles where they're very active through time and then So what causes volcanoes and earthquakes to become active in time?

[SPEAKER_00]: And like we saw with the 1811 and 1812 new Madrid earthquakes, which were devastating, they were a series of intense quakes that began happening in and around the new Madrid region.

[SPEAKER_00]: of the United States and they had like a 7.2 to an 8.2 on December 16th of 1811 followed by magnitude 7.4 aftershock on that same day and these were devastated, devastating to the area obviously in that whole seismic zone right there.

[SPEAKER_08]: Utility work was the focus of this training as firefighters hook themselves up to ropes and simulated a tower rescue.
