  Speaker 1: complex the other day, and as he got in the car,

  Speaker 1: I asked him what was going on. And he said,

  Speaker 1: my wife is having a baby as we speak. I said, wait, what?

  Speaker 1: Apparently his wife had gone into labor and been taken
• 0:27
  Speaker 1: to the hospital by ambulance. but they wouldn't let Cason
• 0:31
  Speaker 1: ride along. So there he was in the back of
• 0:33
  Speaker 1: my Uber trying to get to the hospital while his
• 0:37
  Speaker 1: wife was in the process of having their baby. Let
• 0:42
  Speaker 1: me tell you, dude was nervous and excited and probably
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: experiencing about every emotion a person could have at this time.

  Speaker 1: As we talked, I learned he was going to have
• 0:56
  Speaker 1: his first child in seconds. It's Cason's first kid. And
• 1:02
  Speaker 1: then for some reason, I don't even know why, I asked,
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: does your wife have any other children? He said a few,
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: and he kind of smiled. I said, a few? What
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: does that mean? Ten. I said, what? Ten. Yep, ten.

  Speaker 1: This would be number 11 for his wife, but number
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: one for Cason. I couldn't help but smile. Here was
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: a man about to become a father for the very
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: first time while his wife was already a veteran at this.

  Speaker 1: But for him, everything was new. The excitement, the nerves,
• 1:39
  Speaker 1: the anticipation, the uncertainty of what was happening at the
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: hospital while he was sitting in my car's back seat.
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: As we got closer, I reached for one of my
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: little mini Jesuses, as I always do, and I handed
• 1:53
  Speaker 1: it the case and I said, here. Take this with you.

  Speaker 1: Think about this as you're walking in there. Hold it
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: tightly as you open the door. A little reminder, he
• 2:04
  Speaker 1: wasn't walking in this hospital alone. So before we got out,
• 2:08
  Speaker 1: we had to do one more thing. We prayed. We
• 2:10
  Speaker 1: prayed for his wife, for the baby, for a safe delivery,
• 2:13
  Speaker 1: of course, and for peace for this brand new dad.

  Speaker 1: I prayed that God would calm his nerves and give
• 2:21
  Speaker 1: him confidence that as he stepped into this new chapter
• 2:25
  Speaker 1: of his life. Cason was moved by the prayer. And
• 2:29
  Speaker 1: as I was moved by the whole experience, I can
• 2:31
  Speaker 1: tell you, I mean, think about it. This young man
• 2:35
  Speaker 1: was on his way to meet his first child, one
• 2:39
  Speaker 1: of the biggest moments of his life. And just for
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: a few minutes, I got to be a little part
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: of it. I don't know whether The baby arrived by
• 2:47
  Speaker 1: the time he got there and walked through the doors.
• 2:50
  Speaker 1: But I know he was excited. He was jacked up.
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: He was anxious. And he had a little Jesus in
• 2:56
  Speaker 1: his hand. As for me, I really think I was
• 2:59
  Speaker 1: as excited as he was. Number 11 for mom. Number
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: one for dad. And one more reminder that you never
