- 0:04In this political Coliseum, we slay the rising beast with the fateful sword of truth that transcends hypocrisy and censorship.
- 0:16It's time to unleash yourself from the tyrants of media propaganda on the America Out Loud Talk Radio Network.
- 0:26This is unleashed the political news hour.
- 0:32Welcome to Unleash the Political News Hour.
- 0:34I'm Nate Kane, your host, and we have got a lot to talk about.
- 0:38So much has happened that you're going to definitely want to pull up a chair and grab your coffee.
- 0:44This one's going to run long because the story that's unfolded over the weekend is nothing short of historic.
- 0:52What happened in the dark early hours of January 3rd, 2026 wasn't some reckless cowboy stunt.
- 1:01It was months, no years in the making.
- 1:05Executed with the kind of surgical precision that makes Osama bin Laden's takedown look messy by comparison.
- 1:12Let's set the clock back to about 2 15 a.m.
- 1:16Caracas time.
- 1:18Over 150 U.S.
- 1:20aircraft, F 35s, F 22s, growlers for jamming, tankers stretching all the way back to bases in Florida and Louisiana lit up the sky.
- 1:32Their job, blind Venezuela's aging air defenses, take out radar sites, and clear a corridor straight into the heart of the Capitol.
- 1:44While that air armada did its work, waves of black hawks and tilt rotor ospreys slipped in low under the chaos.
- 1:54On the ground, Delta Force operators from first SFOD, FBI hostage rescue team shooters, and DEA agents who've been chasing the 2020 narco terrorism indictment like it was holy scripture.
- 2:08The target wasn't a barracks or a palace ballroom.
- 2:13It was the private residence inside Fuerte Tiona, the most fortified military complex in the country.
- 2:21Maduro and his wife, Celia Flores woke up to red dots and muffled commands.
- 2:28Less than 20 minutes from the rotor wash to Xville.
- 2:33They were flexcuffed, blindfolded, and walked across their own lawn to waiting helicopters.
- 2:39No shots fired in the bedroom.
- 2:41No American casualties in the snatch itself.
- 2:44By 3 30 Eastern, those Helos were skids down on the flight deck of USS Iwo Jima, cruising a hundred miles off the coast with the Baton Amphibious Ready Group and the Special Ops mothership Ocean Trader riding shotgun.
- 2:59President Trump dropped the mic himself on True Social with that now iconic photo.
- 3:05Maduro in a gray track suit, noise canceling headphones on, looking smaller than anyone ever imagined.
- 3:12Sitting in the hangar bay of a ship named after the bloodiest battle in Marine Corps history.
- 3:19From there, it was a quick hilo hop to a waiting C 17, then straight into New York.
- 3:26Arraignment scheduled for the Southern District, charges that carry life without parole.
- 3:3150 million dollar bounty now officially claimed by the American taxpayer.
- 3:37But folks, that's just the fireworks show.
- 3:40The real explosion is what is coming out in the debrief rooms right now.
- 3:45Sources across the intelligence community are confirming by leaks to Reuters and New York Times and even some true social drops straight from Mar-a-Lago insiders that are saying that Maduro started talking before the plane even left the Iwo Jima's deck.
- 4:01Celia's in separate custody, softer conditions, and she's filling notebooks with what she knows.
- 4:07What they're trading is pure dynamite.
- 4:09We're talking detailed ledgers on how Beijing pumped 20 billion dollars through PDVSA shell companies to build drone assembly plants up in the Andes mountains.
- 4:21Factories that can crack out armed UAVs faster than anything Iran has.
- 4:26Russian Wagner Group logs showing contractors training collectivos, those motorcycle death squads right outside Caracas.
- 4:36Same guys who were escorting fentanyl precursor shipments across the Darien Gap into Texas last summer.
- 4:44Iranian ghost tankers unloading short range ballistic missiles in Maracaibo, the paperwork magically relabeled as coffee beans or farm equipment.
- 4:54And then on the domestic front, there's some other stuff that is hitting like a freight train.
- 5:00Names, dates, wire transfers.
- 5:04So far, leaks are coming out that there are at least two former Democrat senators allegedly on Caracas payrolls through Toronto cutouts.
- 5:13A retired four-star general who sat on border policy boards while Venezuelan oil bonds paid his consulting firm.
- 5:20One household name cable host, whose production company took solidarity grants that trace right back to the Miraflores palace.
- 5:29The money that fueled riot seasons in 2020.
- 5:33Same circuit.
- 5:34Some of those pallets of bricks that magically appeared in cities, bought with petrodollars laundered through Canadian nonprofits.
- 5:43Even the pro-Palestinian encampments last spring, Hezbollah instructors flown in on Mahan Air through Caracas, six-week training courses on barricades, media ops, and how to turn a campus quad into a war zone.
- 5:59But the Crown Jewel, Smart Matic.
- 6:02Celia Flores herself helped write the original code under Chavez back in 2002.
- 6:09Built from the ground up to flip referendums, tested live in the constitutional vote that gave Chavez God King powers.
- 6:17That exact backend got sold, rebranded, and licensed.
- 6:21It ended up inside electronic voting systems.
- 6:25And I think we're going to find out a lot more about that.
- 6:28Teams in Quantico and aboard Iwo Jima cracked seized servers overnight.
- 6:35And what they're finding is going to be probably one of the largest intelligence dumps of our time.
- 6:50Now let's talk oil because this is where it gets delicious.
- 6:54Venezuela sits on 303 billion barrels proven.
- 7:03Bigger than Saudi Arabia and Russia combined.
- 7:07Right now, they're limping along at barely a million barrels a day because rigs are rusted, pipelines are leaking, and skilled workers fled years ago.
- 7:17Chevron's been the only American player allowed in under sanctions relief, but already the spigots are opening wide.
- 7:26Exxon, Conaco, Occidental, and several others, they're already moving rigs.
- 7:32Trump says 5 million barrels a day within 18 months is the goal.
- 7:37Gas stations back under two bucks by summer, and Russia is suddenly going to have a hard time funding new tanks for the Ukraine.
- 7:51And China's refineries are going to be scrambling.
- 7:54And every extra barrel is going to flow in dollars only.
- 7:58Petrodollar is going to be stronger than it's been since the 70s.
- 8:04And the message to any OPEC plus troublemaker is going to be stray from the green back, and you end up zip tied on a carrier deck.
- 8:13And the border, well, it's been awfully quiet since the start of this operation.
- 8:19Border Patrol logged a 28% drop in encounters the day after alone.
- 8:27Caravans aren't forming when the guy organizing them from Caracas is in a Brooklyn holding cell.
- 8:36Families are staying put because America's investment dollars are about to print schools, power plants, actual grocery stores.
- 8:45No wall is needed when people want to stay home.
- 8:56Election questions finally getting answered and finally seeing daylight.
- 9:07This ladies and gentlemen is what winning looks like when America stops asking permission and starts taking back its own backyard.
- 9:18We're talking a new paradigm for the people of Venezuela and also a new paradigm for the Western Hemisphere.
- 9:27This is a new way of dealing with the problems in the world, not through all out warfare, but through utilizing joint efforts within our various intelligence agencies, military, law enforcement, domestic agencies.
- 9:45This, I believe, is going to be the new way of doing business when it comes to fixing some of these problems that are in our own neighborhood.
- 9:56So God bless America.
- 9:57God bless Donald Trump.
- 10:00There's going to be a lot more that we're going to talk about on this topic.
- 10:04In the weeks to come, maybe even the months to come, as more intelligence is gathered from Maduro and his wife, and as small fish leads to bigger fish, and inevitably we begin to capture other members of the cartel and other members of his administration.
- 10:24I think we're going to unravel things that no one had ever thought possible.
- 10:32I mean, this is really a unique situation where you have a former head of state who is now under lock and key, being interrogated by the U.S.
- 10:42intelligence agencies, and they will get out of him everything that they want.
- 10:47I guarantee it.
- 10:48Because otherwise, it's his life.
- 10:53He is going to deal, and he's going to give over to the United States what they want.
- 10:58I expect good things to come.
- 11:00We'll be tracking every new leak, every court filing, every rig that fires up in the Orinoco Belt.

- 13:52Welcome back to Unleash the Political News Hour as we resume our discussion.
- 13:57Tensions in Iran continue to escalate amid widespread protests driven by severe economic hardship, including soaring inflation, particularly with food, and a collapsing currency.
- 14:12Demonstrations have spread across multiple provinces with reports of clashes and growing calls for change.
- 14:20Joining me now to provide expert analysis of these developments and their broader implications is Dr.
- 14:26Walid Ferris, a renowned foreign policy scholar and Middle East expert.
- 14:31Dr.
- 14:31Ferris, thank you so much for joining us today.
- 14:34Nate, thank you again for your offer.
- 14:36It's always a pleasure to be with you.
- 14:38So, you know, this is these are very exciting times.
- 14:41I mean, we just heard the news about what has happened in Venezuela.
- 14:45Uh, interestingly enough, when you look at what was really kind of leading up to things there, uh, you have also massive inflation.
- 14:54I mean, I think it's like a hundred and fifty percent uh, you know, inflation on food there.
- 14:59Uh, it's very high as well in I think the second highest place that there has been inflation on the area of food has been in Iran.
- 15:08And there's a lot that is going on.
- 15:10Of course, they've been under uh immense uh you know human rights violations from the Islamic regime there.
- 15:18What can you tell us about what has been brewing?
- 15:21Because this isn't the first time they've had riots, but what's different this time than previous times?
- 15:26It's the same route, very long route, uh, multiple decades.
- 15:31Uh last time we spoke, you and I uh we went over a history of an Iranian revolution against the Homainist Islamic regime in Iran, which uh did a coup d'etat in 1979, but as of 1999, it took a couple decades.
- 15:47Uh, the civil society of Iran rose, especially the younger students, uh, and it was crushed by the regime.
- 15:55They came back.
- 15:56That's the Iranian population in uh 2009, and you know, performed this amazing green revolution with 1.5 million people on the streets of Tehran.
- 16:08Unfortunately, at the time we could have ended the crisis, had then President Obama not really shifted and tilted towards the regime.
- 16:17So instead of helping the population on the ground, instead of tweeting to the population, he actually delivered a speech and a letter after that to Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, kind of saying, you know, we don't meddle.
- 16:29We don't meddle, and the language of the jihadists is go ahead.
- 16:33They're yours, you can crush them.
- 16:35There were other uh uprisings.
- 16:37Uh the most notable ones were uh one was in 2019.
- 16:41It was under Trump still, but there was uh a lot of pushback by the opposition here.
- 16:47And finally, in nine in 2022, the massive uh demonstration series of demonstrations since then nothing had stopped because of the killing triggered by the killing of Masa Amini, a young Iranian Kurdish uh woman.
- 17:01It has never stopped.
- 17:03But what has happened now, and you mentioned it, the circumstances have changed.
- 17:07The economic situation is terrible.
- 17:09And let me just, if you allow me one two seconds, talk about why the Iranian youth and now the population think it is possible to bring down that regime because please at the end of the uh 12-day war when the regime attacked Iran, uh attacked Israel, sorry, and Israel, you know, hit back, bring in our president to actually terminate the Iran uh program, the Iran nuclear program in three hours.
- 17:38Trump terminated it.
- 17:40But what was as important was after this termination, the Israelis continued to target the militias on the ground, the militias, IRGC, but mostly known as Basij.
- 17:51This is the political militia that goes after the people that suppress them, stop them, destroy, assassinate them.
- 17:58So the Israelis needed five to six more days to finish those militias, and what we see now would have happened then.
- 18:05Uh, unfortunately, uh, because of Qatar influence, you know, now it's the very influential regime, including on our foreign policy.
- 18:14You know, the U.S.
- 18:15government said, okay, we'll give them a chance, we'll give the Iran regime, the Islamic regime of Iran a chance to come back with a deal that would let go of all this policy.
- 18:25Unfortunately, the Khomeinist or the Grand Ayatollah and his militias never responded to Trump, never came back with anything.
- 18:33Instead, they were building back their missile fleet, and they started to go against these populations, and there was an explosion.
- 18:42That's what we've been seeing right now.
- 18:43And for the first time, we can see that Iranians on the streets are courageous.
- 18:49They don't want to go backward.
- 18:51They are going forward.
- 18:53They have seized a number of city halls, police stations.
- 18:56We've also just before that saw a number of officers of the old uh Artesh army of Iran, uh, you know, claiming that they don't want this regime.
- 19:08So it's it's different this time, and I think it's gonna be deeper, but longer.
- 19:13So I've seen a few videos that have come out, um, interesting things that are being said out loud.
- 19:19Uh, one is I saw a video of a military officer, of course, you know, he was um hiding his face, but he was talking about how he does no longer can support uh the Iranian regime that they've started killing civilians.
- 19:34I think he mentioned uh like 70 something civilians have been murdered on the streets, and he won't have no part of it.
- 19:40And he mentioned about how many of the soldiers are going to their bunkers, uh being you know prepared to defend their country, but they will no longer defend the regime.
- 19:49Uh, this is an interesting difference from what I've seen previously.
- 19:52Also, two other things that I think have major impact.
- 19:56One, uh, Trump made a very public statement about.
- 20:00How if the Iranian regime kills innocent civilians who are peacefully protesting that the United States is locked and loaded and ready, you know, to basically wipe them out.
- 20:14The other thing that has happened, and I think I have to imagine that the people of Iran are seeing what is happening in Venezuela.
- 20:22They have seen what has happened.
- 20:24And so has the Iran Iranian regime, the Ayatollah Khomeini.
- 20:29Look, if we can essentially uh you know bring to justice a president and his wife in a foreign country and go straight into their homes and snatch them out of their homes.
- 20:43What does the Ayatollah Khomeini think that we can't do there?
- 20:48So, you know, and when he has without a doubt, pretty much the entire Arab world is against him.
- 20:55Uh, you know, he's got multiple countries, uh, Israel, of course, is against him.
- 20:59Although it's interesting.
- 21:01You had uh Netanyahu the other day was asked about what was going on there.
- 21:04And he said, look, I don't want to say anything or interject myself into this and potentially put any taint on what the people of Iran, he said, other than that we support them, but ultimately, you know, he he basically took a step back, which I think was actually a very smart move because it it takes away some of the propaganda uh you know points that the Ayatollah could, you know, try to use.
- 21:29What are your thoughts on all of that?
- 21:31Let me uh let me start with the last point.
- 21:33It's very important.
- 21:34It's not the first time that those who support the Islamic regime in Iran and other places as well, Hezbollah, have been interacting with some of our academic elites here who suggested to them to use that argument that if America shows up, then it will be accused of provoking this from the outside.
- 21:56Here's what happened.
- 21:58We have been in touch through social media with a large number of young uh males and females from Iran who are on the streets, who are struggling, who are being damaged by this militia and what they're telling us, we want the world, the free world to help us.
- 22:15We're no different from the French resistance when De Gaulle out of Britain was calling for the liberation of France.
- 22:22We're not different from any movement.
- 22:24We're no different from the Americans when uh, you know, when the French came and helped us, help uh the ancestors in freeing themselves.
- 22:33This argument is specifically shaped to stop any support coming from the outside.
- 22:39So the Iranians knows that, but what they told us, and you're mentioning uh this tweet is or this post is extremely important.
- 22:48We need to hear, we need to know that the free world is with us.
- 22:51Just know, don't do what Obama uh has done in 2009.
- 22:56You know, he could have been silent, he just made a tweet and sent a letter to the regime leader.
- 23:02So that really went to endorse what the regime is doing.
- 23:06So now President Trump did something he didn't do before.
- 23:10No other president or official has done before, which is to speak to the Iranian people themselves through Twitter.
- 23:16That's the easiest way he can communicate, actually through through social, and that was reposted by uh by Twitter.
- 23:23And simply he, as you just said, he said, we're with you.
- 23:27So if the regime uses violence against you by the principle of international uh law of obligation of helping a population in distress, we will help you.
- 23:38So that is absolutely in line with with international law.
- 23:42If there is an earthquake and tens of thousands of people are dying, it's the obligation of the international community to go and help, not to impose any regime, not to impose anything, not to do even the Iraq long occupation.
- 23:55That's not what Trump is trying to do.
- 23:57The Iranians will handle that themselves.
- 23:59Now, with regard to the regime and the population, it looks like the population is determined as decided.
- 24:07It looks like uh the president's new policy regarding Iran is now he put a he drew a red line to the regime.
- 24:14And let's see what the regime is going to be doing, and you still have Israel.
- 24:18And you may have Israel and the United States and others who will come and help in the situation, but it's really the Iranian people on the inside, the Iranian diaspora on the outside.
- 24:29And let me make a quick comment on what you have mentioned about Khamenei and the rulers of Iran.
- 24:35That's a big difference with Venezuela.
- 24:37These rulers of the Islamic Republic, quote unquote, Islamic regime, they know that the population is against them.
- 24:44Actually, in the case of Venezuela, there were demonstrations.
- 24:47There were millions of people demonstrating.
- 24:50But guess what?
- 24:50This was under Obama and a little bit under Biden.
- 24:54So nobody helped them for 12 years.
- 24:57Here we have uh President Trump not just helped them, he actually eliminated the regime that is going to go against them.
- 25:05So for the Khomeinists, for Grand Ayatollah and the militias, they feel that there is a race between the population rising against them and a potential Israel US intervention.
- 25:18We may wake up one day and see that the pro-freedom people are already inside the palaces of the rules, even before the Americans or the Israelis will be doing anything.
- 25:28So it has one direction, which is a regime change.
- 25:32We don't know if the regime change will start by the population or maybe by both population and international help, like a Lafayette coming to help them.
- 25:41You know, it's interesting because one of the things that I could see playing out here is we made it very clear that we can own the air space above Tehran.
- 25:55I mean, we did.
- 25:56We took out their nuclear weapons program.
- 26:00Uh we we have technologically we have an advantage uh and we have the cooperation of the Arab states that you know are surrounding uh Iran that don't want to see a nuclear Iran.
- 26:12That has got to be front and center on their minds.
- 26:16And I I think you're right.
- 26:17Uh I think Trump doesn't have to put boots on the ground.
- 26:20He could simply fly some B-2 bombers over and take out military targets to allow the people to take back their government.
- 26:27Exactly.
- 26:28And again, it doesn't put us into a situation of an occupation uh, you know, whereas with Venezuela, it's a very different situation there.
- 26:39In Venezuela, um, you know, that isn't our backyard.
- 26:43That is that is literally become a a launch point for Russia, for Iran, for uh, you know, for the the uh the Chinese uh communist party to basically get into our back door, and I see that as a direct national security threat, and we have to basically make sure that we have a presence there and that we in a sense direct kind of the the remove all of our enemies out of our backdoor, out of our backyard, right?
- 27:14Um Iran's a little different.
- 27:16I think that uh the people will do that themselves, and I think that there will be uh really good relations with their neighbors uh shortly thereafter, without us having to be too much involved there, um, other than maybe bring you know bringing and providing some support uh to you know take out particular military targets that might be used against the people.
- 27:41100%, mate.
- 27:42You're just described a hundred percent.
- 27:44Uh a US slash Israeli, maybe other role in Iran is going to be uh make sure to take out what threatens our national security.
- 27:53That's all.
- 27:54Uh they are rebuilding those ramps, missiles, and they have those militias who are in fact, and that's a missing link, supporting the militias or the terrorist organizations, Hezbollah, Hamas, Hasht in Iraq, Huhis in Yemen.
- 28:09That's our legitimacy.
- 28:10That's our uh point of consideration.
- 28:13We need to take out what is planning, what those who are planning on taking us out, and to add an extension, uh Venezuela was basically a field of uh control and organization for Hezbollah and all the Islamic regime militias uh deployed there.
- 28:32I mean, our agencies knows that ballistic missiles were deployed in Venezuela, will be deployed in Venezuela, had President Trump not taken out Maduro.
- 28:43So it is our national security, raw national security.
- 28:47And on both fronts, both Venezuela and Iran, I think that the population in both countries will liberate themselves eventually, and then that would lead us all to peace and stability.
- 29:00Right.
- 29:01There would no longer be funding for groups like Hezbollah, you know, uh for groups uh like Hamas and uh the Houthis, you know, they would quickly dissolve because they would no longer have the support, the financial support coming uh through the you know, through the uh Islamic uh revolutionary uh groups that are up there.
- 29:21Now, the last thing that I want to mention here, and this is a little piece of information that I've been thinking about today in regards to Venezuela, but it also reminds me of a situation that could occur in the event of uh you know the fall of the Ayatollah.
- 29:36When you think about what's happening in Venezuela, the fact that they captured Maduro alive, I don't think people understand the the intelligence uh implications of that.
- 29:49This is a man who's a dictator, nothing happens in that country without him knowing about it.
- 29:54Um they certainly are going to charge him probably with the death penalty, but in order to keep that off the table.
- 30:00I imagine they're going to tell him you're going to tell us everything.
- 30:03You're going to tell us every financial network, every foreign enemy that was working with you, what their plans were.
- 30:10You're going to tell us every Democrat who was colluding with you.
- 30:13I mean, the implications of this are so massive.
- 30:18And I really do believe that we're going to see some things come out of this that people are not expecting.
- 30:23Do you think that there is the possibility that should the people of Iran take back their government and they capture these guys that they will be able to capture them alive so that we can extract important and valuable intelligence out of them?
- 30:38Absolutely.
- 30:38Whatever you described about Venezuela as first correct.
- 30:45They they arrested is in fact the head of a network of terrorism and drug trafficking.
- 30:52The amount of information he could provide.
- 30:54I mean, you gave a long list.
- 30:56I will add a few.
- 30:57He can provide information about the jihadi, humanist, far left networks in this country.
- 31:05I bet we will learn a lot about those who have been committing violence here, those who have been organizing these uh violent uh protests, including the Hama pro Hamas protests.
- 31:17All of this goes partially through uh Venezuela.
- 31:21Also, remember that the networks uh that he organized in Venezuela went all the way to the cartels on our border.
- 31:29We are going to know, we meaning the government will know about those who actually penetrated the United States.
- 31:34We're talking about tens of thousands of individuals uh who you know cross the Rio Grande or in Arizona or elsewhere who have been funded and pushed and then networks on inside the United States who received them and then organized them and beyond.
- 31:49So this is going to be uh uh magic, a Pandora box.
- 31:53In Iran, it's even more.
- 31:54In Iran, the people who are demonstrating already know a few things, but they are going to trade this.
- 32:01Uh the officials of the intelligence services immediately will trade information versus their lives.
- 32:07Yeah.
- 32:08There would be trials, there'll be prosecutions, but uh uh one thing is if you want to save yourself and you're part of the regime, you're gonna give information.
- 32:16That information will be provided to the United States.
- 32:19And I and I believe that information will be used to bring criminal prosecutions so that we can continue.
- 32:27I think we've seen an I think this is a new paradigm.
- 32:30I think that warfare is changing.
- 32:32We've learned something through this.
- 32:34You know, the the Democrats, they they really don't have a leg to stand on here in terms of trying to claim that Trump acted outside the Constitution because no, uh, this was a law enforcement effort.
- 32:45Uh, in fact, there were DEA agents who were on the mission and military was utilized to assist, but ultimately, this was a law enforcement operation.
- 32:54I imagine if if information is extracted, is what you and I expect will come out of this, which does lead back and point to uh subversion and things like that that were happening against the United States, it will become a matter of law and order, and maybe that will be used as justification to take action uh without it turning into a a quote unquote act of war or a long drawn-out uh military engagement.
- 33:18It will be simply a matter of you know, collecting these people and assisting in the collection of them so that we can extradite them back to the U.S.
- 33:25and gather even more intel.
- 33:29Absolutely.
- 33:29I think that's exactly what's going to happen.
- 33:32And I think that the administration is ready, has been ready.
- 33:35The Congress will support once they see that uh information.
- 33:39We we are entering a new era, a new cycle uh of protection of the national security of the United States.
- 33:45Absolutely.
- 33:46Well, thank you so much, Dr.
- 33:47Walid uh Harry Ferris.
- 33:49Where can people follow you on social media?

- 36:01Welcome back to Unleash the Political News Hour.
- 36:04We now shift our focus to one of the most critical geopolitical and technological challenges of our time.
- 36:12The rapid development of artificial intelligence and its transformation into a modern arms race amongst global powers.
- 36:22Joining me to explore the strategic implications, the risks of falling behind and why the United States must secure dominance in this domain is Patrick Wood, a prominent author, researcher, and leading voice on technology, the technocracy and emerging technologies.
- 36:42Patrick, thank you so much for joining us.
- 36:44My pleasure.
- 36:48You know, this uh, of course, it has been a couple of really exciting days in the news cycle, and um, you know, what has just happened uh, you know, a couple of nights ago, uh, of course, uh we're talking about the very successful operation that has occurred in Venezuela.
- 37:09And I kind of want to start our conversation about this, and then we can move, you know, move into deeper topics on the subject.
- 37:15But it's very interesting when you look at the press briefing that was given after the successful operation, uh Operation Absolute Resolve uh that took place in Venezuela.
- 37:29Uh, the portion of it where General Dan Cain, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, provided detailed briefings on the operations execution, included the involvement of over 150 aircraft, precise air strikes to disable air defenses, real-time monitoring of Maduro's movements via human intelligence assets and the rapid uh extraction by Delta Force and law enforcement personnel.
- 37:58Uh his report started by cautioning uh that he was going to limit his comments to avoid revealing sources and methods, uh, you know, which of course aligns with standard practices for safeguarding advanced technology technological edges, uh, particularly those in intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance domains.
- 38:17Given the operations reliance on exquisite intelligence, tracking you know, Maduro's habits, his location, uh, his security in real time, combined with cyber effects, drone support, coordinated multi-domain actions.
- 38:35Uh, they talked about how they took down basically the power.
- 38:39Um, I think that was something that kind of slipped from you know Trump when he was talking.
- 38:44The most plausible unrevealed element really of this operation, I think, has got to be extensive use of AI for ancillary but critical functions.
- 38:55Uh, what are your thoughts on that?
- 38:57Yeah, absolutely.
- 38:57Absolutely.
- 38:58There's no reason not to.
- 38:59They've been using this uh very successfully uh and war warlike uh conditions in Ukraine, for instance, and Gaza as well.
- 39:10This has been perfected, I think, at this point, the targeting aspect of AI, they're able to fuse multiple data sources into one composite feed, if you will, to identify somebody and track them, uh even when the lights go out, so to speak.
- 39:29Yeah, and I think I'm sure this is what they what they did.
- 39:32I I can't believe there's anything else uh except that.
- 39:36Well, the fact the fact that he didn't make any mention of AI, not even once, right, in the entire speech, nobody did.
- 39:44But the fact that you look at the spending, right, that's going on right now, um, investments right now include significant expansions of Project Maven, uh, which is an AI initiative for processing vast amounts of surveillance data, uh, object detection.
- 40:00uh targeting support we're talking about right now they've raised the contract ceiling to nearly 1.3 billion dollars through 2029 and that's primarily for Palantir's Maven smart system exactly exactly they had to and and and I think that's so this really the reason I wanted to kind of start with the topic was because it it ties in directly to what's going on right now um we saw success like nothing we've ever seen before right um I think earlier you know predictions of of how an operation like this might happen uh you know had like basically 20 to 30 percent success rates and now you know it's approximately 60 to 80 percent uh in supporting roles um i i really think that this is what we're you know what what really gave us an edge uh probably more than than any other time in history and i think this changes the paradigm or the future of how we run operations and i think that's why it's so critical that we're going to have to invest heavily and win the war uh the arms race if you will on ai yeah it's gonna be interesting to see how much of a r race it is and in the end i'm not sure about the uh the the race aspect this this sells product for sure it uh it's uh creates a sense of urgency to get stuff done for sure but in fact I look at what China's done and what uh we've done in Silicon Valley I see the interplay between people in Silicon Valley and China there seems to be a revolving door going back and forth uh the technocrats in in Silicon Valley apparently love the technocrats in China and they're they're willing to you know collaborate with them on all kinds of stuff so there's the there's kind of a false narrative in my opinion about this the race at this point the race if you will we had this uh same the concept came up uh in the first uh trump administration when he was um uh unleashing 5G at that point 5G was a new technology at the time and the rollout uh across America was based on beating China not you know the in other words rolling out our technology somehow that would beat China rolling it out in their country or maybe in our country I'm not sure what it was but the race aspect uh contributed to the rollout of 5G that's all I'm saying so there's there's that aspect however we're the source Silicon Valley basically is the source of everything related to AI at this point.
- 43:01It was invented there it was developed there all of the sh uh the the the basic offshoots have been in that from that area.
- 43:12So it's interesting you see when when you talk about Palantir for instance um Palantir is a military slash intelligence contractor on one hand they provide there's there's their sophisticated targeting uh systems for instance to other countries around the world including NATO the UK uh our military Israel has it as well and other allies have it so you see however palantier entering into the mix in Washington DC to capture the overview of all of the data that was sprung during Operation Doge which uh lifted all the data from these agencies into the cloud so Palantir get could get their hands on it.
- 44:10Well you have you there's a race here for sure the military is bake making great advantage on AI and Palantir.
- 44:20But now Palantir is entered into the civilian side if you will with taking over operations in Washington DC this uh concerned with running the the country this seems to me to be kind of a uh a threat at this point uh it it isn't explicit for sure but there's a threat here aimed at people like you and me out here around the country uh if they can in other words if they can if they can identify somebody like Madura who who supposedly was sleeping at his bed when he was snatched and there was heavy heaviest security around him somehow they got through that and they snatched him out of his bed hello wake up you're coming with us sort of thing um if that actually was what happened this is this this speaks uh they know where you are at all times at this point so you know anybody it's a bit scary in some sense and in the other sense I'm I'm relieved that we send we tend to be leading the way in this right but but I have concerns too yes and I I've brought these up and voiced these concerns many times especially over our intelligence gathering capabilities and their misuse under the Biden administration and the Obama administration uh and quite frankly even Trump's uh you know first term uh when he really didn't have any control over the uh the FBI they were misusing these surveillance tools all the time against American citizens yes you're absolutely right now we have probably three or four magnitudes of orders orders of magnitude beyond that the tools they had in say 10 years ago or even eight years ago there's so much more sophisticated today just based on the the advance of the advancement of AI in the first place.
- 46:18It's it basically it's doubling about probably every four or five months at this point.
- 46:22That's that's huge.
- 46:24Now one thing I haven't heard I don't think I've heard anybody talk about this yet but I think that this is a I don't think that that our involvement in Venezuela is a simple thing.
- 46:34I I don't think it's a one issue that drove us to get involved I think that it's very nuanced and probably you know you hear all the talking heads talking about all these different reasons as to why we're there and I think they're probably all right you know I think there's probably truth in in just about everything being said.
- 46:53I think it is about oil.
- 46:55I do think it's about the you know continuing to uh prop up the petrol dollar and stop BRICS nations from destroying our economy.
- 47:03I think it's also about uh you know the the stopping the the the drugs that are flowing into our country um I do think it's about also sending a signal to the world that hey we can come snatch you out of your bed so don't mess with us you know F around and find out as our our uh Secretary of war said in the press conference I think it's all of those things but one thing that I again I I did not hear brought up and I think this is probably is a big part of it you know as well as anyone that that in order to accomplish the things that are wanting to be done by you know our people in the technology world um you know the by the technocrats by our government for that matter uh in industry to to get the to leverage be able to leverage the kind of AI that they want it's gonna require massive amounts of power power that we currently cannot support on our current grid yes uh this means you know this means that we're talking about fossil fuels oil uh you know we're gonna have to generate energy in massive scales uh like nothing we've ever done before and and uh I think that's part of the reason that that the Green New Deal is is uh which I think was a terrible idea to be get you know to begin with I think that's part of the reason that is dead uh I think we there's a recognition even by those that are in in very you know very powerful positions economically uh that we're going to need as much power as we can get and I think that securing the Venezuelan oil fields uh I think is going to be a critical part uh even if it's uh even if it's just a matter of securing it from the Chinese which interestingly enough the Chinese delegation was there literally the day before in fact they were still there in country when the US invaded and um I can only imagine what those guys must have been thinking in their hotel rooms.
- 49:11I I I think that yeah I think there's something I think there's a lot more to this and and I think that part of it is about securing energy and ensuring that our enemies don't have unlimited access to it.
- 49:23Yeah that unmistakably so and don't don't forget there's silver in massive quantities that's right the same same country and so that's right in fact there was illegal uh and that's something else too that I think that's come out is that the Chinese were involved in trying to you know basically get their hands on uh a lot of the you know the the silver and gold and other resources there in Venezuela to get those uh you know shipped out of that country into their you know to their country and uh and that's that's obviously all of that has been stopped.
- 49:56Yeah we we need silver to to build
- 50:00Chips, basically.
- 50:01A lot of it.
- 50:02Now that's another thing too.
- 50:04And I think we've talked about that before, but there's been a huge shift away from depending on Taiwan, which has always been a very contentious issue, right?
- 50:17You know, with the U.S., we had an agreement at one point to where we would defend the Straits of Taiwan and defend you know uh Taiwan from an invasion from China.
- 50:28The last couple of administrations, I think going back to Biden and and now even Trump, there's been kind of a step back away from that and saying, hey, you know, we're not so much involved in that anymore.
- 50:40Now, granted, that agreement had expired a long time ago.
- 50:44And uh, but I think it was in our national security interest that we had to protect Taiwan because they were the only place that we could get chips, you know, in any large scale that weren't infected by Chinese malware.
- 50:55Where are we at with that now?
- 50:57Because there's been a lot of talk about onshoring chip development here in the United States.
- 51:04Yes, absolutely so.
- 51:06The the biggest uh chipmaker in Arizona right now, this they're about uh 50% done with their plant.
- 51:14It's going to be a huge plant in North Phoenix.
- 51:18Um there's nothing like it in the world.
- 51:21If they're successful, they haven't they haven't opened yet, but they said they're really close on the first unit and they have more units behind it.
- 51:29That'll this will be basically replaced anything Taiwan could do in the first place.
- 51:35Same company, it's Arizona now.
- 51:38So, you know, there's efforts to uh to shift this uh to America.
- 51:44Um, but we we also we we have with was I think we're gonna see a more strategic intentional alliance with China at some point.
- 51:57Um I I can't uh quantify that at this point, but since my and my thinking that there's going to be some shift of of alliance, like for instance, before World War II, Japan was our arch enemy.
- 52:15And now they're we love them.
- 52:17You know, they we adjusted our attitude and they adjusted their attitude.
- 52:21Now we're friends and they've been beneficial to us, etc.
- 52:25Uh, it's not a conceivable to me at this point, considering all the inner interplay you have but uh between China technology wise, but to which between China and the United States, that there would be some meeting of the minds on all of these uh geopolitical issues.
- 52:42At this point, however, I have to say Trump just kicked the Chinese in the teeth, basically.
- 52:48Without a doubt.
- 52:50Without a doubt.
- 52:50I mean, they they have invested billions in uh Venezuela now.
- 52:54All that investment is pretty much uh at the mercy of the Trump administration.
- 52:59Um by the way, consider the the the domino effect that's taking place right now in Iran.
- 53:08I was just, yeah, yeah.
- 53:09I just my previous guest, in fact, uh, that's what we were talking about.
- 53:13Um I had on uh Dr.
- 53:14Uh Walid Ferris, and we were talking about what's happening right now in Iran.
- 53:19Yes, yes.
- 53:20So that this is this this could be enough to push the people over the top in Iran.
- 53:27Wow, that would be such a blessing to see this.
- 53:30Think free.
- 53:30I know this this is this is I think an intended consequence of this, one of the intended consequences of this.
- 53:37I would be glad to see that regardless of what happened, what happened with this, whether it's illegal, unconstitutional, it doesn't matter.
- 53:45The people in Iran have been begging to get control away from these mullahs because they're just a scourge on humanity.
- 53:54Well, and it and it brings up another, you know, another issue that I think what we are likely going to see here is uh, you know, I think a breaking out of South America being able to really support themselves.
- 54:10If we could get rid of these corrupt dictators, which basically hold these uh, you know, these nations in poverty because they're basically ripping off the people from their wealth and not creating jobs.
- 54:24It would be a good thing for everybody around the world.
- 54:27Uh, I think uh oil starts flowing.
- 54:29Just imagine, you know, what that would what that would do for uh lowering the price of oil and energy, which ultimately would allow us to do more with it.
- 54:38There's there's something to be said about you know opening up these markets and freeing them up.
- 54:43I do worry a little bit about you know, there's a while there's always this constant back and forth between you know the the US hegemony in the world and and the Chinese communist party's attempts at that.
- 55:00And I really think we're the only two contenders really going for that in the world.
- 55:05I do think that there is a third party, which has been at work, largely, you know, they've had their foot in Europe and in the US and uh honestly in China probably too.
- 55:16And that is the technocracy.
- 55:17This is you know, the world's elites, uh, the Davos uh types that have you know tried to rule uh you know, through, you know, basically having influence over elections and having influence, you know, over these world leaders and over their economic situations.
- 55:37But I think maybe this opens the door, you know, to to create a situation where we hold some of the you know the controls of some of the levers.
- 55:50The only problem is is who's the next government going to be in the United States and and will all of that change in in one election.
- 55:58Exactly so.
- 55:59Exactly so.
- 56:00Yeah.
- 56:00Well, this has been a very enlightening discussion, and we're we're just about out of time.
- 56:04But I I wanted to ask uh before we uh close things up, where can people follow you?
- 56:10Where can they uh check out your books and uh you know, please tell us?
- 56:14Technocracy.news is all my website and everything I have is offered there, the boot camp, this premium subscription, all of my books.
- 56:23If you like audiobooks and uh Kindle versions, you can go to Amazon.
- 56:29They're all they're all there for your you to buy on Amazon.
- 56:33And by the way, we just uh just last week released the audio book for my uh latest book written with Courtney Turner called The Final Betrayal, a cautionary uh tale, how technocracy destroyed America.
- 56:51So that's uh that's there also now.
- 56:54Oh, I'm looking forward to getting that.
- 56:56I definitely uh I do a lot of books by audio, so when I'm taking my long drive, I can I can catch them.
- 57:01So that'll be great.
- 57:02I'll send you, I'll send you a marketing copy.
- 57:04I can do it right now.
- 57:05Awesome.
