- 0:01Hey guys, welcome to the live stream.
- 0:02Welcome to the basement. We've got all kinds of fun and
- 0:06interesting things to talk about today when it comes to gold and
- 0:10silver. We got some scary major.
- 0:12Warnings from Jamie Dimon from JP Morgan and some.
- 0:17Incredible data about oil. From the ex head of commodities
- 0:21at Goldman Sachs. That's going to feed right into.
- 0:24What we know. Are going to be much, much,
- 0:27much. Higher prices for.
- 0:29Gold and silver as we navigate the coming months, quarters and
- 0:33years. Together I want.
- 0:34You to be down here in the basement with me.
- 0:36Thank you for being here today. Please subscribe to.
- 0:39The channel give the video a thumbs up.
- 0:41That's all free. And leave a comment in the
- 0:44comment section but. 1st. There's a burning.
- 0:46Question. I get this over and over.
- 0:49Again. So I want to.
- 0:50Address it with you. I think it's something that.
- 0:52All. Silver investors in.
- 0:54Particular are a little bit worried about.
- 0:57Let me actually I have the. Question.
- 0:59I can pull it up and I'm not at all calling.
- 1:02This guy out? His name is.
- 1:04Poochu Kabu. 1860. He left a comment on one of the
- 1:09videos saying I tried to sell 100 ounces of.
- 1:11Silver at. Around $100 and could not find a
- 1:15buyer. The dealer was offering. $85
- 1:18when the price was 100. Even if the price goes to two.
- 1:22100. Who is buying?
- 1:24There's a couple. Key things That's a.
- 1:26Worry. That I get.
- 1:27From a lot of people in the precious metal sector.
- 1:30I've. Never sold any silver but I do
- 1:33know reports like. Poochoo Kaboo just gave us were.
- 1:36Real common number one. One thing to remember.
- 1:40That period. Of time that we had back in
- 1:42January. Where silver.
- 1:43Skyrocketed. Like, unbelievable.
- 1:46OK, it was. Not a silver squeeze, right?
- 1:49We've yet to have the silver squeeze that was.
- 1:52Maybe at most a silver. Squeeze but it.
- 1:56Was a main mania kind of a. Mania.
- 1:58Weird. Period.
- 1:59That broke out in the. Silver Price Silver.
- 2:02Was kind of. Flexing its.
- 2:03Muscles. But what it did was it created.
- 2:06All kinds of imbalances in the refining.
- 2:10Wholesale retail side of silver. Where coin?
- 2:14Shops couldn't like buy stuff and immediately.
- 2:17Sell it like they usually could. It really, truly was a.
- 2:20One off situation. So what I tell?
- 2:22People and what I firmly know to.
- 2:24Be. The reality is that if if we
- 2:27get. When we get.
- 2:28To $100 silver again, even 2. $100 silver.
- 2:33Again, even much. Higher.
- 2:34As you know, we basement dwellers.
- 2:36Believe the silver. Price is going.
- 2:38Once the price stabilizes at one of those areas.
- 2:42You'll have no problem right when Silver's at. 100 and 1000
- 2:46and $20 per oz. You'll have no problem being
- 2:50able. To sell silver near those
- 2:51levels, you just. Have to remember that that.
- 2:54That. Situation.
- 2:55We had in January. While it was fun, it was really.
- 2:58Kind of a brief mania phase and again when.
- 3:01Silver was I. Think just initially.
- 3:03Flexing its muscles, but I want to.
- 3:06Tell you a story because the. Same question.
- 3:09That was posed by Poochu Kabu. Was posed.
- 3:12To ME3. Four years ago.
- 3:14I'll never forget I was a. Friend of mine's wife who
- 3:18watches. Ron's basement.
- 3:20Hello, Deborah. She actually asked me when
- 3:22silver, I think silver was around like 20 dollars, $18.00
- 3:26an ounce. She was like, if silver ever
- 3:28gets to $50, who's going to buy it, right?
- 3:32Well, look. I went out today to my local.
- 3:34Coin. Shop they publish.
- 3:36They're willing. They were willing earlier.
- 3:38To buy silver I think it was like $68 per.
- 3:42Oz. Even for 10 oz.
- 3:43Bars so the. The same question we have now.
- 3:46About who would ever buy silver? At at 100 or $200 per oz.
- 3:51Well, that's the same question that we had when silver was
- 3:54$18.00 an. Oz.
- 3:56That if it ever got to $50 per oz, who would buy it?
- 4:00People will buy it once the price stabilizes.
- 4:03Now look. When you're dealing with.
- 4:05Coin shops of. Course, there's always going.
- 4:06To be a spread. Between what they will buy from
- 4:09you for. And what they'll sell it back
- 4:11for. But that will.
- 4:13Become very much. Normalized.
- 4:15Right. If I told her three years ago,
- 4:17well, guess what? In three years, you can sell all
- 4:20the silver you want. For $68 per oz I bet.
- 4:23She would have run out. And bought.
- 4:25As much and which is what? I was.
- 4:26Saying back then, right, But remember, I'm not a financial.
- 4:30Advisor, but that. She would have ran out.
- 4:31And bought all. Kinds of silver, I mean.
- 4:34Do you remember that? Let's just talk about that for
- 4:37a. Second, when?
- 4:38Silver was. $20. Per Oz.
- 4:41And yeah. I'm going to repeat myself.
- 4:44The question was posed if, if. Like it would.
- 4:47Never happen. Right.
- 4:48We knew it would, but. Most people didn't think it
- 4:50would if silver wherever to get to. 50 an ounce, Ron.
- 4:54Right, you silver pumper you. US basement dwellers.
- 4:58Who would ever buy that? Silver at 50.
- 5:01Dollars, I think. There's a.
- 5:03Big line of people right now who?
- 5:04Would buy that. Silver.
- 5:05For $50. Let's shift gears and talk about
- 5:08manipulation in the. Markets, OK.
- 5:10I want to pull. This up for.
- 5:12You the 1974 memo, we know. The silver.
- 5:16Market is manipulated, has been manipulated.
- 5:19It's been proven to be manipulated for the last 1050.
- 5:23Years. OK, the.
- 5:24Gold market as. Well, and it's been about.
- 5:27Three months. Since we.
- 5:28Looked at this, but this is always super interesting.
- 5:31And pertinent and proof. This is the proof.
- 5:35That the market. Is manipulate let's.
- 5:37Just pull it up. This was from.
- 5:39WikiLeaks. OK.
- 5:41So this is. Common.
- 5:43Free for people to read. It came out.
- 5:45With the WikiLeaks. It's a 1974 memo between London
- 5:49and New. York about creating the.
- 5:52Futures markets, OK. They said the major impact of.
- 5:55Private US. Ownership limited office use.
- 5:59Only from London. They said the dealer's
- 6:02expectations will. Be that the.
- 6:05Formation of a. Sizable gold Futures market Each
- 6:10of the dealers expressed the belief that the futures market
- 6:13would be a significant proportion and.
- 6:15Physical trading would be minuscule by comparison.
- 6:19Also expressed. Was the expectation.
- 6:22That large volume futures. Dealing.
- 6:25Would create a highly volatile market.
- 6:30And in turn. The.
- 6:31Volatile price movements. Would diminish the initial
- 6:35demand for physical holding and most.
- 6:38Likely negate large long term. Holding by U.S. citizens this.
- 6:43Is right after they took us off. The gold standard.
- 6:46Took silver out of. Our money.
- 6:47Was in 1969 the last? Year we had silver in our money.
- 6:51OK. And talking about how they were
- 6:53going to dissuade American citizens from hoarding the
- 6:57precious metals. It says as.
- 6:59To future demand by US. Citizens for Gold and you can.
- 7:02Throw silver in there as well. Most.
- 7:04Dealers did not foresee demand for physical holding as
- 7:08significant. With the.
- 7:09Exception of an initial surge during the first two to three
- 7:13months. Of the year.
- 7:13Following. Deregulation they did not feel.
- 7:17That U.S. citizens. On the whole.
- 7:21We're psychologically prepared. To switch from small.
- 7:25Scale gold coin purchases to large scale.
- 7:28Long term volume hoarding. Several expressed the.
- 7:31View that the. Demand for coins after the
- 7:33initial. Surge would most likely be such.
- 7:36That it could be met from within should the.
- 7:39US decide. To mint gold coins for those.
- 7:42Purposes. So that's the WikiLeaks leak.
- 7:45That came out. That explains to.
- 7:47Us what the. Government was up to when they
- 7:50were when they were. In.
- 7:52Favor of creating. The futures.
- 7:54Markets which were. Then in turn.
- 7:56Some people speculate. This is all, of course, just
- 7:59speculation. While some.
- 8:01People speculate. That the metals.
- 8:03Prices have been. Managed or manipulated and
- 8:07explains why they. Wanted to put.
- 8:09And think about the volatility. Think about the volatility in
- 8:12silver in particular. OK, remember back to the end of
- 8:16January. When the silver.
- 8:18Price crashed from 120 down to what, 8075 in one day?
- 8:24Right. That washed out a lot of people,
- 8:26right, That did right. It was there was the mania like
- 8:29we talked about earlier. We were going into kind of a
- 8:32mania phase, not. Really.
- 8:34The silver squeeze yet? Don't worry, that's yet to come.
- 8:37But it worked. It it it it dissuaded some
- 8:40people. Doesn't matter, we're still on a
- 8:43great. Road for the silver and gold.
- 8:45But it's important. We remember.
- 8:47Right. That these things are real.
- 8:49Right. That, that, that what?
- 8:51We know. In our hearts about silver and
- 8:53gold. And the protection that it
- 8:56provides. US as a store of value versus
- 8:59what? What the futures markets are
- 9:02trying to do? That it's real and then what?
- 9:04We're doing is real and that. What?
- 9:06What we? Are doing.
- 9:08Will indeed I believe. Again, I'm not a financial
- 9:11advisor. But I believe.
- 9:13Be a smart. Decision when it it comes to
- 9:15protecting wealth. And oh what?
- 9:18Here you want some more. Proof that it works.
- 9:20Check this out this. Is incredible, OK.
- 9:23Gold wins silver. Wins.
- 9:26Wait till you see. This one.
- 9:29From bar chart they shared. The gold is destroying the US
- 9:35stock. Markets this.
- 9:37Entire century take. A look at this this chart.
- 9:42OK on this. Chart.
- 9:43The gold price is gold OK, the blue.
- 9:49Line right. Here is the S and.
- 9:52P500. This starts at the.
- 9:54Beginning of the century. The Year 2. 1000 through today.
- 9:59And you can. Clearly.
- 10:00See. Who's winning when you compare?
- 10:03The price of gold to the. Performance of the.
- 10:06S and PS and P500 from the beginning of the century, and
- 10:11it's. Not just that, because we know
- 10:12these incredible. Statistics about the value of
- 10:16gold like. Since they since. 19, 71.
- 10:19The gold, gold, gold, the value of gold versus the dollar that
- 10:22the dollars lost. I don't.
- 10:24Know I hear 90%. To be conservative.
- 10:26Other people say 95%. I've even heard AS.
- 10:29High as 90. 8 and 90. 9. Percent it is working.
- 10:33It is. Real and now we're going to talk
- 10:35about Jamie Dimon that had puts out.
- 10:38Massive, massive warnings about what's?
- 10:40Happening out there? And this.
- 10:42Will be very good for the price of gold and silver along with
- 10:46oil. Before I do that, I want to say
- 10:48say thank you to channel sponsors Brixton Metals.

- 11:21Lot lately. But the five?

- 11:47Upstairs, Susie. Chiming in, that's her.
- 11:49Favorite thing? It is cool.
- 11:51It's like a little. I don't know.
- 11:52How to describe it? It's just perfectly sized.
- 11:55It feels good. I hear some people.
- 11:57Call them candy bars. It's like one of those little,
- 11:59like the size of one of those little.
- 12:01Hershey's candy bars. Anyway, great prices.
- 12:04Great selection. Great.
- 12:05Service you guys. Love them, I love them.
- 12:08Thank you First Mint, for sponsoring Ron's Basement.
- 12:12Let's talk about Jamie Dimon. Jamie Dimon's the.
- 12:14CEO of JP. Morgan, he dropped some bombs
- 12:18and then we're going to talk about the I don't want to say.
- 12:20Bombs dropped some. Very surprising.
- 12:22News. And also we've got some more.
- 12:25Surprising news. About oil.
- 12:27And what is happening out there right now?
- 12:30First, we'll run out here to Binance.
- 12:33Who shares with us that JP Morgan CEO criticizes?
- 12:38U.S. Banking.
- 12:38Regulations and warns. Of private credit market risk
- 12:42this has to do with. Private credit.
- 12:44But then we go here again, Bar chart shares.
- 12:47This and this came from the Financial Times just then.
- 12:51All right, private credit losses will be larger than previously
- 12:55feared. Warns.
- 12:56Jamie Dimon, OK. This private credit thing is a
- 12:59big, big issue. That could.
- 13:01Create major issues. In the.
- 13:03Market, OK. Hold on, I want to read this to
- 13:07you Now What, Jamie? Said he says there's a skunk.
- 13:11In the room. I should.
- 13:12Have led with. That he says.
- 13:14Quote UN quote. There's a skunk at the party.
- 13:18And it could be. And it could happen in 2020.
- 13:21Six that. Would be inflation slowly going
- 13:26up big? Reason why this is good for us
- 13:28as gold and silver investors as opposed to slowly.
- 13:32Going down, so he's talking. About. 2026 inflation going up
- 13:37instead of slowly going down, Diamond said that, noting that
- 13:41the combination. Of rapidly increasing.
- 13:44Oil prices. And.
- 13:46Inflation is viewed. As among the main.
- 13:49Causes of major recessions. In 1970.
- 13:53Four What happened? To the price of gold and silver
- 13:55in the 70s. Think about.
- 13:57That and 19. 82 The skunk at the party.
- 14:01High inflation, guys. That is we we we are dealing
- 14:06with a lot of short. Term noise right now inflation.
- 14:09Will absolutely drive the price. Of gold and.
- 14:12Silver extremely higher. In my view.
- 14:16In the coming. Year.
- 14:18Right, the coming decade and maybe even longer because as
- 14:22inflation. Goes higher and higher and
- 14:25higher. Doesn't matter what they do with
- 14:29interest. Rates OK, the real interest.
- 14:31Rate will become more and more negative.
- 14:34Because to calculate real interest rates, you subtract the
- 14:37inflation rate. From the prevailing.
- 14:39Interest. Rate and is.
- 14:40Inflation goes. Higher and higher.
- 14:43Jamie Dimon is talking about it, but it gets.
- 14:45Even crazier. And we have.
- 14:47Charts and data. That we're going to look at next
- 14:49when it comes. To oil, this is some big.
- 14:52I mean, there's a. Reason why just.
- 14:55Speculation that. That there's this.
- 14:59Keen interest in ending the war in Iran.
- 15:03Right, because this. Oil situation is.
- 15:06Serious. We're asleep.
- 15:07Right now, Jeff. Curry used to.
- 15:09Be the head. Of commodities at Goldman Sachs.
- 15:11Now he's with some other firm. We're going to we're going to
- 15:14listen to what? He has to.
- 15:15Say about how? How crazy and critical.
- 15:19The situation is. Right.
- 15:20Now this comes from our friend. Mark with oil, this is Jeff.
- 15:25Curry and. Hold on here, let's get him up
- 15:30and let's listen 25 seconds and hold on.
- 15:34Share. This tab now I got you up.
- 15:36Sorry, guys. That's Jeff.
- 15:38Curry. Now you see him on your screen
- 15:40and listen. I am now.
- 15:42Thank you, Susie. They don't price the future,
- 15:45they price the now and the supply and demand has.
- 15:48The price has to clear supply and demand today.
- 15:50We're not in a shortage today. We're going to be a shortage
- 15:54mid-april. That's when the market has to
- 15:56clear. And so if anyone, I think buy
- 15:58the rumor and really buy the fact here, because that's when
- 16:02it's going to become quite explosive, is when you have to
- 16:05actually clear the mark. What he is.
- 16:08Saying is we have not seen anything yet when it comes to
- 16:13this. Oil crisis that's.
- 16:14In the world, it won't be until mid-april.
- 16:18OK. That's not too far away.
- 16:20OK, right now. What he's saying and it makes
- 16:23sense. Right.
- 16:24The the supplies that were out there already are able to
- 16:27provide basically what. People need but.
- 16:29That the world isn't going to feel this oil crisis, really.
- 16:34Right for another. Couple.
- 16:35Weeks. Well, guys, I know you're.
- 16:37Probably. Probably as.
- 16:37Old as I am. Two weeks flies by faster than.
- 16:41Anything but we're. Already starting we.
- 16:44What we're feeling right now. Could just be the start.
- 16:48And I do. Have some?
- 16:48Charts we're going to look at, but let's watch this from.
- 16:51Mario Nawfal. That tells us just how critical.
- 16:56This situation is starting to be.
- 17:00Here's a little short. One minute video.
- 17:02About how oil is already. Impacting things at home, and
- 17:07here we go. For the economy here at home,
- 17:10our Brian Chung reports on what could be the summer of
- 17:12surcharges connected to spiking oil prices, costing you money.
- 17:17Gas prices today hitting a new high since the war with Iran
- 17:20began $4.09 a gallon as US crude oil has surged over $111.00 a
- 17:25barrel. It's outrageous and it it hurts
- 17:28in the. Pocket The ripple effects of the
- 17:29war now reaching deeper into the US economy.
- 17:32Amazon joining UPS, FedEx and the US Postal Service in
- 17:34announcing shipping surcharges. Amazon saying due to elevated
- 17:38cost in fuel logistics, it will apply a 3.5% surcharge to the
- 17:41independent sellers who make up more than 60% of the retail
- 17:44giant sales. Amazon saying when costs remain
- 17:46elevated, we implement temporary surcharges to partially recover
- 17:49those costs. Costs are also soaring in the
- 17:51skies. Ticket prices up as much as 15%.
- 17:54Airlines scrambling to deal with the rising price of jet fuel.
- 17:56United now joining JetBlue and bumping up bag fees as much as
- 17:59$10 and with diesel prices nearing.
- 18:03OK, so that's what we have to look.
- 18:05Forward to and it hasn't even really hit.
- 18:08Yet. But what's crazy is.
- 18:11This next data point we're going to look at when it comes to the.
- 18:15Rate. Of change in oil prices and how
- 18:18it coincides with. Major market crashes,
- 18:22corrections. You, you decide for yourself,
- 18:26but here we go. This came from Jack Prandelli.
- 18:31Every hold on here. There we go.
- 18:36Yep. OK.
- 18:37Every major market. Crash since 1987.
- 18:41Was preceded by. One signal and 1 signal only.
- 18:46That's oil's 12 month rate of change hitting 100%.
- 18:51So when the 12. Month rate of change.
- 18:53In the oil price. Hits 100.
- 18:54Percent. Every time since 1987 we've had.
- 18:58A market crash? Right now, we're not at 100.
- 19:01Percent. But we are.
- 19:02At 91. Percent 1987 crash.
- 19:06Right, 1990 crash.com bust. Same thing, right?
- 19:10You can see the rate of. Change in oil price 2008
- 19:14financial. Crisis.
- 19:16And the 2022 bear market every single time.
- 19:20And he says today, Hormuz closed.
- 19:23Right. Obviously, we know.
- 19:24That the market's been down a little.
- 19:25Bit, but here's the chart right here and as you.
- 19:29Can see. Right here's all.
- 19:32Here's all the crashes with the. Blue arrows all.
- 19:36Right. And that blue line.
- 19:38That goes across, That's the rate.
- 19:41Of change in the oil. Price right over here you can
- 19:44see. 100. And right there.
- 19:47In the red in the red zone is right.
- 19:49Where we are. Right now so.
- 19:51Be prepared, OK? Be prepared.
- 19:54For what? Could come because we're going
- 19:57to get high inflation and I don't want to keep repeating
- 20:00myself. Although I will.
- 20:02High inflation will. Be good for the price.
- 20:06Of gold and silver in this. Chart.
- 20:08Really. Shows it from Luke, our friend
- 20:10Lucas Ukawumi. Inflation.
- 20:13Today. Versus the 1970s.
- 20:16He says people. Assume inflation just.
- 20:18Spikes up. But it comes in.
- 20:20Waves with every. Downward correction people think
- 20:23the pain is over just to be smacked in the face by the next
- 20:27inflationary surge. Those who knew what's coming
- 20:30made life changing money while. Those who failed to do so lost.
- 20:34Fortunes and I. Remember this OK?
- 20:37Seeing this. Chart OK this.
- 20:39Is inflation today? Which is.
- 20:41The red line versus inflation in the 1970s, Which?
- 20:46Is the white. Line as you can.
- 20:48See, we are about right here, right?
- 20:52Now, OK, they. Overlay almost perfectly.
- 20:56I. Remember being back.
- 20:58In this zone when inflation came down and just like.
- 21:01He said I. Thought.
- 21:02Oh. It's not going to go back up
- 21:04again. It's not going to.
- 21:06Because you would look at this. Chart from the 1970s guys, we
- 21:09are in. It's coming in my opinion.
- 21:13As I see it, this. Big inflation is coming.
- 21:16Well, Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JP Morgan, agrees.
- 21:20I don't know how. You feel.
- 21:21About it, but it is absolutely. Coming this next.
- 21:25Wave right? That would.
- 21:26Put our red line. Back up here.
- 21:29Of inflation. Which might.
- 21:31Explain why. There's this almost level of
- 21:34desperation on a worldwide. Basis to get the.
- 21:38Straits of Hormuz open to get the oil price back down, but we
- 21:42got to remember 1 big. Critical.
- 21:44Thing and that is during the 1970s.
- 21:48The price of. Gold and the.
- 21:50Price of silver had returned like we've never seen.
- 21:53Before OK. And it happened at the end of
- 21:57the day, no matter how you want to.
- 21:59Describe all these. Different factors.
- 22:01Everything else. But it really.
- 22:02Happened because of super high inflation.
- 22:06Silver went from under a. Dollar fifty an.
- 22:08Oz in the 1970s to. 50. Dollars $1.50 to $50.
- 22:15By the end. Of the decade.
- 22:17So when we hear. People like Michael Oliver talk
- 22:20about the fact that we could have silver at 305 hundred
- 22:23dollars. Don't, don't get.
- 22:24Mad at me I'm. Not putting out the crazy see I
- 22:28think we can get 600 but none the.
- 22:30Less These numbers, while they seem outrageous, aren't that far
- 22:35out of the. Realm of.
- 22:36Possibilities. OK.
- 22:39Let's look at. Japan.
- 22:40Just just. To show like.
- 22:42What is going on in our world right now?
- 22:45Now Ash Crypto points out this. The Japanese 10 year bond yield
- 22:49has now. Reached its highest.
- 22:51Level. In 29 years.
- 22:53That's the result. Of monetization of debt.
- 22:56That's the result of of the. Japanese government basically
- 22:59printing money, debt monetization does not work and
- 23:04one final data point to look at in the United States right now
- 23:09again from. The bar chart.
- 23:11Don't, don't. Fear, right?
- 23:12The US. Government is.
- 23:14Creating more money. Our Federal Reserve.
- 23:18Creating more money by the day. Our USM 2.
- 23:21Money supply. Which is the.
- 23:23Broader measure of money supply and bank accounts money.
- 23:26Markets all that. Is now jumped to a new all time
- 23:30high of $22.7 trillion, whether you want to call it.
- 23:36Inflation. Whether?
- 23:37You decide to. Call it money.
- 23:39Printing whether whatever. You however.
- 23:41You want to slice. It or dice it, it's really all.
- 23:44A bunch of. Smoke and mirrors, right?
- 23:46You know that I know that you can't print this stuff.
- 23:52OK. There's a limited amount.
- 23:54Of silver, there's a. Limited amount.
- 23:56Of gold. And they have.
- 23:58Been the. World's Reserve.
- 23:59Currencies from day one and they will continue to be.
- 24:04The world's reserve. Currencies, thanks for.
