- 0:03Speaker 1: Wake up.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Good next.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Kicking off your day in the best way. It's Sonia
- 0:10Speaker 1: and Joakim on the shock circuit. Good morning. Welcome to
- 0:13Speaker 1: the 1st of April, a very dangerous day. But also
- 0:18Speaker 1: we are into the 2nd quarter of 2026. Sonia, can
- 0:22Speaker 1: you believe it? I know it's insane, but regardless, we
- 0:24Speaker 1: hope you have a great start to April. Stay tuned.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Singapore's number one hit music station.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Tony and Joakim here with you, welcoming you to a
- 0:34Speaker 1: brand new month. Be very careful what you consume today
- 0:37Speaker 1: on social media. You never know, it could be a
- 0:39Speaker 1: prank video or a prank picture or whatsoever by beloved
- 0:43Speaker 1: brands or maybe even your online personalities or friends. But
- 0:46Speaker 1: I feel like sometimes when it comes
- 0:48Speaker 1: To April Fools, right, they would have already planted the
- 0:50Speaker 1: seed like a few days ago. Then they revealed today like,
- 0:53Speaker 1: ha ha, got you, it's a joke, you know. I think, uh,
- 0:55Speaker 1: my last April Fool's prank that I played happened 2
- 0:59Speaker 1: years ago. I posted myself being nominated for Star Awards.
- 1:05Speaker 1: What's that?
- 1:07Speaker 1: But people, wait, I thought you were. No, you weren't.
- 1:11Speaker 1: No you weren't. I was never, and I'll never be
- 1:14Speaker 1: nominated for these things. So I put a picture of
- 1:17Speaker 1: myself saying vote for me. Call 1-900-112-0987. That's when everyone
- 1:22Speaker 1: knew it was a joke and people actually called. I
- 1:24Speaker 1: felt so bad I had to put out a clarification
- 1:26Speaker 1: almost immediately saying, guys, I'm not nominated. This is an
- 1:29Speaker 1: April Fool's prank, you know.
- 1:31Speaker 1: It would have been believable because like Justin Ang has
- 1:33Speaker 1: been nominated before from Class 95, so maybe it wasn't
- 1:36Speaker 1: completely unbelievable. Wait, here's a legit question. Have you? No,
- 1:40Speaker 1: I don't. I don't act in any. I've never done
- 1:43Speaker 1: any Chinese related projects, OK lah. But you were featured
- 1:46Speaker 1: recently on Yes Your Son doing some Chinese stuff. That,
- 1:49Speaker 1: that was a joke. That was literally for fun. I
- 1:51Speaker 1: cannot believe you and I said the same thing. We breakdown.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Wow, that sucks, man, and I'm Chinese. I'm Chinese, by
- 2:01Speaker 1: the way. Welcome to the show. Wow, can I just
- 2:04Speaker 1: paint you a picture? What's the picture of yesterday's crowd
- 2:09Speaker 1: at the National Stadium. Oh, so how did it go,
- 2:11Speaker 1: by the way? So Singapore won 1-0 against Bangladesh. We
- 2:16Speaker 1: had about 30,000+ people packed out at the National Stadium. Nice.
- 2:21Speaker 1: And can I just say this, Shahza.
- 2:23Speaker 1: And Imman Fundy take a bow. Did, did they do
- 2:27Speaker 1: like a fantastic job? So Shahza actually performed home before
- 2:31Speaker 1: the players walked out. It was quite epic. It felt
- 2:33Speaker 1: like a haunting, very haunting. Yeah. And then Iman Fundy
- 2:37Speaker 1: did a set during halftime. And then at the end
- 2:40Speaker 1: of the game, there were fireworks to celebrate Singapore qualifying. So, so, OK,
- 2:45Speaker 1: help me understand this. Regardless of the results.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Of this game, they would have qualified anyway. Yes, but
- 2:52Speaker 1: you wanted to, you know. But how does that work? Why,
- 2:56Speaker 1: why is it that they, they still go through? You
- 2:59Speaker 1: must play because it's part of the format. You have
- 3:01Speaker 1: to finish. You have to finish. OK, OK. So kudos
- 3:04Speaker 1: to the 6000 Bangladeshi people that were there yesterday. Oh,
- 3:08Speaker 1: I love that for them. They were loud. I, I,
- 3:10Speaker 1: I saw some news, um, channels.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Do the coverage where actually they had a very warm
- 3:16Speaker 1: welcome to Singapore. Like there were heaps of people just
- 3:18Speaker 1: like waving them and welcoming them. The Bangladeshi football team
- 3:22Speaker 1: were like rock stars. The crowd over there for them
- 3:25Speaker 1: were very loud, and I must say, right, I was
- 3:27Speaker 1: live streaming the 97 TikTok. They were all very friendly, lah. Oh,
- 3:31Speaker 1: so cute. They were just coming into my stream saying, Bangladesh.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Bangladesh is gonna win. They started laughing.
- 3:38Speaker 1: And of course I think the word for bro in
- 3:41Speaker 1: Bangladeshi is baya, right? So hey baya, how are you?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Come here. What's the score gonna be? They are all very,
- 3:46Speaker 1: I would, I'm gonna make this equation, right? I feel
- 3:49Speaker 1: like Bangladesh is like the Scotland of Asia. Everyone just
- 3:53Speaker 1: along with everyone, everyone just likes them.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I love that. Yeah, yeah, no, you're not wrong, I
- 3:57Speaker 1: would say that's so cute though, and congrats to our boys. Yeah,
- 4:01Speaker 1: take a bow. Harry Stewart, by the way, making it
- 4:03Speaker 1: one-nil for Singapore. Let's see how we do and if
- 4:06Speaker 1: the competition happens in Saudi Arabia next year, I really
- 4:11Speaker 1: hope our boys do well. Yeah, and you know what,
- 4:13Speaker 1: they're getting lots of attention and coverage right now, um,
- 4:15Speaker 1: from the kind of magazines that I read the headline is, um,
- 4:19Speaker 1: local footballers are crushing on now.
- 4:24Speaker 1: So sorry I disappeared for a little while. I went
- 4:26Speaker 1: to make my breakfast at the pantry and
- 4:30Speaker 1: And it, OK, Joakim, you, you've known me for quite
- 4:34Speaker 1: some time and you've observed me in the mornings for
- 4:37Speaker 1: like 2, 2-ish years now. Yes. Um, would you say
- 4:41Speaker 1: that hang on, what do you mean 2 years? No,
- 4:43Speaker 1: in the morning. Has it been 4? Oh wait, it's
- 4:47Speaker 1: been 4 years since we switched to the mornings. 3:22
- 4:49Speaker 1: has been 4 years ago, Sonia. Good morning it's been
- 4:52Speaker 1: 2 years. OK. Happy 1st of April to you. Um,
- 4:55Speaker 1: would you say that
- 4:56Speaker 1: I have a very complex routine in the morning when
- 4:59Speaker 1: it comes to like my breakfast and my coffee. Yes,
- 5:02Speaker 1: from 6 to 7 a.m. it's like clockwork for Sonia.
- 5:06Speaker 1: She'll come in, we'll start the show together, we'll say
- 5:08Speaker 1: hello to each other, spill some tea, and then some
- 5:11Speaker 1: tea she'll go to her locker. She'll take out the
- 5:14Speaker 1: coffee grinder. The studio will start smelling like coffee beans.
- 5:17Speaker 1: She will do the perfect Asian squat, and then I'll
- 5:20Speaker 1: hear for 10 seconds, we.
- 5:23Speaker 1: That's my, that's my coffee bean grinder, and she'll go
- 5:26Speaker 1: to the pantry with the barista thing, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 1: and the French press grinder on the other hand and
- 5:31Speaker 1: the packet coffee in the middle, you know, no packet
- 5:34Speaker 1: coffee if I grind my beans, as in, as in
- 5:36Speaker 1: the coffee pack or.
- 5:38Speaker 1: The beans are in the the French press. That's it. You,
- 5:41Speaker 1: you carry three things with you left, right, in the middle.
- 5:44Speaker 1: There's something in the middle. Oh, I'm probably topping up
- 5:47Speaker 1: my water this morning I made a yogurt bowl, so
- 5:49Speaker 1: that's why I took extra long at the pantry. Sorry.
- 5:53Speaker 1: If 987 ever opens a breakfast cafe, people, guess who
- 5:57Speaker 1: is your barrister and your breakfast maker? It's our darling
- 6:00Speaker 1: Sonia Chew. That means I won't be on the show
- 6:03Speaker 1: pretty much most of.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I'll be just there collecting the money. I'll be the casher. Yeah, exactly. Anyway, um,
- 6:09Speaker 1: coming up in less than 10 minutes, we'd love to
- 6:11Speaker 1: open up the phone lines in less than 5 actually. Yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 1: we want to hear from you and we would love
- 6:16Speaker 1: to hear what songs you want to listen to on air, dedications,
- 6:19Speaker 1: what school you're from. Let us know. Time to open
- 6:21Speaker 1: up the phone lines. It's one of our favorite things
- 6:23Speaker 1: to do on the show before you get to school.
- 6:25Speaker 1: So yesterday we had our first university call through. Take
- 6:28Speaker 1: a bow NTU.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Initially, we're like getting a lot of primary schools, secondary schools.
- 6:33Speaker 1: We've yet to get polytechnics, ITE. We haven't got ITE yet, right?
- 6:37Speaker 1: Not yet. Yeah, or any other tertiary institutions. Look, if
- 6:40Speaker 1: you're in school, it doesn't matter which one or what
- 6:42Speaker 1: level you're in, we would love to hear from you.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Is in Singapore. I, I'm curious because we are what,
- 6:51Speaker 1: like just, we're not even a quarter, right? Yeah, but
- 6:53Speaker 1: we have enough time. We're not going anywhere. We do.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Call us right now, 669-11987. Tell us which school you're
- 7:00Speaker 1: from and maybe a song dedication and who's it going
- 7:03Speaker 1: out to. Phone lines are now open. Welcome you to
- 7:06Speaker 1: one of our favorite segments of the show where we
- 7:08Speaker 1: get to hear from you, find out what school you're from,
- 7:10Speaker 1: and maybe what's the best part about your school as well.
- 7:13Speaker 1: But also in the next 30 minutes or so here
- 7:16Speaker 1: on the shock circuit, how about winning $6000 on 987.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Secret. Sounds fantastic. But first, let's head to the phone lines. Hello,
- 7:25Speaker 1: good morning. Good morning, 987. It's Kaylyn. Hello, Kaylyn. How
- 7:30Speaker 1: are you this morning? You sound a little bit sleepy.
- 7:33Speaker 1: We understand, we feel you. Yeah. And Kaylyn, the most
- 7:36Speaker 1: important question, which school are you from? Primary School. Primary.
- 7:41Speaker 1: I think Anne Nicole has been to Roulang Primary before.
- 7:43Speaker 1: I remember her mentioning that. OK, tell us what is
- 7:46Speaker 1: the best part about your school?
- 7:48Speaker 1: Uh, my teachers like are the best, like they are
- 7:51Speaker 1: the best teachers that I have, that have ever taught me.
- 7:54Speaker 1: That's really nice. Kaitlin, can I ask, when Ruang Primary
- 7:58Speaker 1: School has a cross country, do you all do it
- 8:00Speaker 1: at Jurong Lake Gardens? Uh, I don't think so. Oh, OK,
- 8:04Speaker 1: because it's nearby. I will go for a walk every day. OK.
- 8:08Speaker 1: It's across the street. I think, um, Kaitlin and I
- 8:11Speaker 1: are on the same page. We have no idea what
- 8:12Speaker 1: you're talking about.
- 8:14Speaker 1: OK, Kaitlin, what song can I get you today and
- 8:17Speaker 1: who is it going out to? Uh, Blue by Youngi,
- 8:19Speaker 1: and it's going out to all my friends. Alright, that's
- 8:22Speaker 1: coming up for you. Have a great day, OK? Take care, Kaylin.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Thank you. Bye. Thank you. Bye. OK, so I asked
- 8:28Speaker 1: you a question earlier if you can sort of recall.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Do you know what your monthly phone bills?
- 8:33Speaker 1: kind of like and have they changed over the years
- 8:36Speaker 1: in terms of your usage patterns and all that? I mean,
- 8:39Speaker 1: it's only changed because whenever I recontract, I go for
- 8:42Speaker 1: the bundle plans. Sometimes it might go a little bit
- 8:45Speaker 1: cheaper or slightly higher but better performance in terms of
- 8:48Speaker 1: my fiber broadband and all that. OK. So we're talking
- 8:51Speaker 1: for me at least.
- 8:53Speaker 1: 2700. OK, yeah, yeah, I mean that makes sense since
- 8:56Speaker 1: it's a bundle, but some people may find that expensive. Yeah,
- 9:01Speaker 1: because some people only have the phone plan. Yes, yeah,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I just have the phone plan. For me it's my
- 9:05Speaker 1: home broadband, the Singtel MO TV, my, my house phone,
- 9:08Speaker 1: and my handphone as well. You still use house phone.
- 9:13Speaker 1: number. I, OK, I don't. I, in my parents do,
- 9:16Speaker 1: I think, but I'm not sure if it's now discontinued.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I have no idea. But with the rise of scam calls,
- 9:21Speaker 1: I stopped using a land phone. I don't think anyone
- 9:23Speaker 1: calls our home, my home phone anyway, like for my
- 9:26Speaker 1: mom and dad, yeah, in my own personal home, I
- 9:28Speaker 1: don't even have one. unfortunately for this woman here in Singapore, um,
- 9:32Speaker 1: she is trying to dispute a phone bill that shocked
- 9:36Speaker 1: her to the core.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Because they were gonna charge her $1,516 and she's insisting
- 9:44Speaker 1: that she's, she did not use that much data. She
- 9:47Speaker 1: the data roaming. So, now it's being looked into at
- 9:50Speaker 1: this point because um it's a he said, she said,
- 9:53Speaker 1: you know, kind of situation right now. She wants to
- 9:55Speaker 1: raise it, she wants to fight back, you know.
- 9:56Speaker 1: And she said like, I don't game, I don't use
- 9:59Speaker 1: any sort of, I don't stream anything. Um, so how
- 10:02Speaker 1: is it possible that I, I rack up this much
- 10:05Speaker 1: data according to, you know, this statement that she receives.
- 10:08Speaker 1: So she really swears that she doesn't do all this.
- 10:11Speaker 1: She just uses it for like basic stuff, her phone.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Did she say she's been overseas the last few days? Yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 1: so I think, um, I guess that's one of the
- 10:19Speaker 1: things that they're looking into right now. Not a lot
- 10:21Speaker 1: of information has been provided.
- 10:23Speaker 1: But I think um the telco has reached out to
- 10:25Speaker 1: say like we're gonna waive off a percentage out of
- 10:28Speaker 1: goodwill because she's been a longtime customer, but I think
- 10:30Speaker 1: she's quite angry and she insists, no, I want you
- 10:32Speaker 1: guys to look into it. So we'll see what is
- 10:35Speaker 1: the final verdict at the end of the day, but
- 10:38Speaker 1: I think the spokesperson has come up to say that,
- 10:40Speaker 1: you know what, um, we'll look into it and she
- 10:42Speaker 1: is a longtime customer, so we, we also want to
- 10:45Speaker 1: take care of her. I mean, the telco tried, but
- 10:48Speaker 1: It's the kind of thing where if I see my
- 10:50Speaker 1: bill and it's above this amount and I'm shocked. That's
- 10:54Speaker 1: why I'm wondering whether it could be a setting or
- 10:57Speaker 1: like she didn't turn off some sort of roaming. I
- 11:00Speaker 1: don't know, so we'll find out. But it can't be
- 11:02Speaker 1: just suddenly it happened this month or last month, right?
- 11:06Speaker 1: It was apparently it's a one-off thing. So wow, yeah, it,
- 11:09Speaker 1: it only just happened that one time when she opened
- 11:11Speaker 1: the bill and it was like 1,0005.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I mean, I would be shocked too if I saw that.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I'm very invested. I want to know what happened. I
- 11:18Speaker 1: also want to know, um, but I did make a
- 11:20Speaker 1: mistake once. I was overseas and I had to deal
- 11:24Speaker 1: with something back home and I used my phone to
- 11:27Speaker 1: chat for a very long time and my bill shot
- 11:30Speaker 1: up because, you know, it was, um, it was an
- 11:33Speaker 1: urgent situation related to my condo.
- 11:39Speaker 1: And we were calling back and forth and I just
- 11:42Speaker 1: couldn't like, no, there's no like WhatsApp call to the
- 11:45Speaker 1: condo management office. So you know, with regard to home
- 11:48Speaker 1: as a small payment for a lifetime of happiness, yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 1: so clearly did not think at that point and was
- 11:54Speaker 1: quite shocked at my bill after that when it arrived,
- 11:56Speaker 1: but it made sense. So before going overseas, please make
- 11:58Speaker 1: sure you check your e-SIMs, make sure that your phone
- 12:01Speaker 1: is using the eSIM that you purchased. If not, go to.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Yeah, so if you're traveling very soon, make sure you
- 12:08Speaker 1: do a check to avoid such situations. It's funny how
- 12:12Speaker 1: earlier we discussed a phone bill. Yeah. When we come
- 12:15Speaker 1: back here on the show, OK, how about a telco
- 12:18Speaker 1: here in Singapore? You know, when it comes to scams,
- 12:21Speaker 1: sometimes scammers might target you using your phone. They might
- 12:25Speaker 1: call you, they might WhatsApp video call you or even
- 12:28Speaker 1: send you an SMS. Yesterday, if you are with this telco.
- 12:33Speaker 1: You might have received an SMS and you might think
- 12:36Speaker 1: to yourself, hey, this one fake or not. OK, let
- 12:40Speaker 1: me as a customer, come out here and clarify it's
- 12:42Speaker 1: actually legit. It's actually legit. OK, what is it regarding?
- 12:46Speaker 1: Full story coming your way in just a bit here
- 12:48Speaker 1: on the show. Because if I'm not wrong, we use
- 12:50Speaker 1: the same telco. Yes, we do. Clearly I didn't, clearly
- 12:53Speaker 1: I didn't check my messages. OK, so Joe, you brought your,
- 12:56Speaker 1: you brought my attention to a potential message that I
- 12:59Speaker 1: might have missed.
- 13:00Speaker 1: And I just saw it that it was sent yesterday
- 13:03Speaker 1: because we use the same telco. So you know how
- 13:05Speaker 1: sometimes scammers now can mask their numbers. They might send
- 13:09Speaker 1: you an SMS. They might call you and you might think, oh,
- 13:12Speaker 1: it's a legit local number or a telco company. Want
- 13:15Speaker 1: to say hello to our friends over at SingTel. Look, we,
- 13:18Speaker 1: we know March was a little bit of an interesting.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Interesting month for our friends over at Singtel with a
- 13:23Speaker 1: bit of service disruptions here and there, but you can
- 13:26Speaker 1: trust them to once they fix the problem, they will
- 13:29Speaker 1: also go to the customers and say, hey, look, we
- 13:32Speaker 1: made a bit of a mistake. Here is something for
- 13:35Speaker 1: you and for your next phone bill, maybe.
- 13:40Speaker 1: You'll receive a $10 or rather up to $10 goodwill
- 13:44Speaker 1: rebate on your bill. No action needed, and this will
- 13:48Speaker 1: be reflected on your bill within the next 1 to
- 13:51Speaker 1: 2 billing cycles, and Singtel will continue to enhance their
- 13:55Speaker 1: network and strengthen its resilience. It's a legit.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Message from SingTel and even our news outlets have covered
- 14:02Speaker 1: this text already. Yeah, I think it's it's like sincerely apologize,
- 14:11Speaker 1: we'll continue to enhance our network. Thank you for your understanding.
- 14:14Speaker 1: So maybe, you see, here's the thing, right?
- 14:17Speaker 1: Because people are so wary now of the messages that
- 14:20Speaker 1: we receive, and I think we were just concerned, like,
- 14:23Speaker 1: given the disruptions recently, like, would it be a real message?
- 14:26Speaker 1: To me, it looks legit. It looks legit and I'm
- 14:28Speaker 1: happy to receive the rebate. I'm happy. I think if
- 14:31Speaker 1: you're on SingTel, SingTel plan, it could be a $10 rebate.
- 14:36Speaker 1: If you're on, which is part of Singtel as well, $10. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: it's $5 rebate. There we go. Yeah. Well, just give
- 14:42Speaker 1: it a check.
- 14:43Speaker 1: And if you're the kind that really will comb through
- 14:45Speaker 1: your entire phone bill, then I'm sure you will spot
- 14:47Speaker 1: the rebate there. But firstly, let me applaud you. If
- 14:50Speaker 1: you doubted the legitimacy of the message, well done. At
- 14:53Speaker 1: least you're being vigilant and making sure that, OK, Singtel
- 14:57Speaker 1: sent me a text. Is this real? Let me go
- 14:58Speaker 1: and check. Yeah, I, I don't put it past people
- 15:01Speaker 1: because recently, you know, sometimes you get push notifications for
- 15:03Speaker 1: like your parcels arriving, right? And it just comes from
- 15:07Speaker 1: some random don't reply kind of number.
- 15:09Speaker 1: So recently, I think one of the numbers that sent
- 15:11Speaker 1: me that they actually had a system error or like
- 15:13Speaker 1: maybe they got hacked, I'm not sure, because a weird
- 15:16Speaker 1: message in Thai came through.
- 15:19Speaker 1: And there was a link. So obviously, I don't understand it.
- 15:21Speaker 1: And then a follow-up message came in and it said,
- 15:24Speaker 1: please ignore the previous message. It's likely a system error.
- 15:28Speaker 1: But was it a system error or a hack? I'm
- 15:30Speaker 1: not sure. I was gonna say, weren't you in Phuket recently?
- 15:33Speaker 1: Means I can speak Thai, is it?
- 15:37Speaker 1: 2 days in Phuket, it's Pig Ti. OK. Yeah, bye bye.
- 15:42Speaker 1: That's a legit phrase, by the way. How are you,
- 15:44Speaker 1: $6000 up for grabs. That's happening in less than 15 minutes.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Here is the situation right now. So on 987 Secret Sound,
- 15:54Speaker 1: we finally snowballed and also we've introduced the secret buzzer prize. Oh,
- 16:00Speaker 1: so it could happen at any time during the week
- 16:02Speaker 1: on any show. Uh-huh. So the moment you call us
- 16:05Speaker 1: at 669-119-87, if you
- 16:08Speaker 1: Hear the secret buzzer, that prize automatically going to you already,
- 16:12Speaker 1: which means, you know, quite a bonus, you know, if you,
- 16:14Speaker 1: if you call through, right? Not only do you get that,
- 16:17Speaker 1: you also qualify for the big grand draw, so technically
- 16:19Speaker 1: you win twice. So, for this entire week, the secret
- 16:22Speaker 1: buzzer prize is a $1000 experience at the Pala One
- 16:29Speaker 1: at Sentosa, where the highlights include Hyperdrive, Hydro dash.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Ultra Golf, Splash tribe, plus 12 beach club and the
- 16:38Speaker 1: Palawan food trucks. So basically you've got a whole weekend
- 16:42Speaker 1: out there at Palawan Sentosa settled, covered, covered just for you.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I would say win this prize and then during the
- 16:49Speaker 1: June holidays you use it. Hm, why not, right? So
- 16:52Speaker 1: save that for your family, I suppose. Stay tuned. You
- 16:55Speaker 1: never know when that secret buzzer is going to go
- 16:57Speaker 1: off and you could possibly have the right answer for $6000.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Stay tuned. Sonia and Joki with you this morning, about
- 17:03Speaker 1: to play 987 Secret Sounds. I just realized today we
- 17:07Speaker 1: could potentially be playing for a prize that's above $50,000
- 17:11Speaker 1: you know, seriously, why? I mean, look, we have our
- 17:13Speaker 1: $1000 experience. All thanks to our friends over at Sentosa
- 17:16Speaker 1: for the Pala one. We have $6000 in cash in
- 17:19Speaker 1: 987 Secret Sound. And let's just say you qualify for
- 17:23Speaker 1: the big grand draw and you win maybe say $40,000
- 17:26Speaker 1: in cash.
- 17:28Speaker 1: That's crazy. Why not? Wait, hold on. So for the
- 17:30Speaker 1: big grand draw, we've done this for a couple of
- 17:32Speaker 1: years now. Yeah. Can you just describe the atmosphere and
- 17:35Speaker 1: the experience? OK, so the last one that we were
- 17:38Speaker 1: at was actually 2 years ago over at Suntec City.
- 17:42Speaker 1: It was quite fun. Everybody who tuned into any Mediacorp
- 17:47Speaker 1: radio station, they were fans of it. They were there.
- 17:50Speaker 1: They were cheering for themselves, hoping to win, and for
- 17:52Speaker 1: even those simple goodie bags or tote bags, they were
- 17:55Speaker 1: very happy, right? They wanna win.
- 17:58Speaker 1: So we hope to see you there. Just come spend
- 17:59Speaker 1: a Saturday or Sunday with us. Absolutely. So, uh, that
- 18:02Speaker 1: will happen very soon. Please take a very close look
- 18:05Speaker 1: at all of our socials to find out more. In
- 18:07Speaker 1: the meantime, let's head to the phone lines.
- 18:09Speaker 1: 87.
- 18:15Speaker 1: What's that sound?
- 18:16Speaker 1: Good morning guys. I'm Edwin. Good Morning, Edwin. OK, how
- 18:20Speaker 1: confident are you with your answer today? I am very confident. OK, Edwin,
- 18:26Speaker 1: before anything, congratulations, you've won the one.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Oh, thank you very much. One on one experience just
- 18:33Speaker 1: by getting through because the secret buzzer, of course, played
- 18:36Speaker 1: on our show earlier. So, Edwin, you've tuned in to
- 18:40Speaker 1: almost every show here on 987. You know what not
- 18:42Speaker 1: to say. You are feeling absolutely confident. Are you ready? Yes,
- 18:46Speaker 1: I'm ready. Listen very carefully one more time.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Edwin, for $6000 what is a 987 secret sound? Car
- 18:57Speaker 1: signal sound. OK, so your final answer is the sound
- 19:01Speaker 1: of a car signal. Yes. Let's find out if it's right.
- 19:06Speaker 1: You are incorrect. Your chance to play 987's secret sound continues.
- 19:14Speaker 1: That.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Well, Edwin, even though you are absolutely confident, I must
- 19:20Speaker 1: say this guest has been given before. It is not
- 19:23Speaker 1: the signal stick, but you know what, congratulations anyway. That
- 19:26Speaker 1: Palawan experience with $1000 coming your way, and you've qualified
- 19:30Speaker 1: for our big grand draw. Oh, thank you very much.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Thank you. Alright, see you there.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Down one guess, win big.
- 19:42Speaker 1: What's that sound?
- 19:44Speaker 1: So I saw this video on TikTok and Instagram just
- 19:48Speaker 1: yesterday and I was telling joking about it this morning,
- 19:50Speaker 1: to which she also chuckled, and you had a few
- 19:53Speaker 1: examples of your own as well. Let's go. Now, you know,
- 19:56Speaker 1: with every generation that goes by, right, we have our
- 19:58Speaker 1: own lingo, we have our own.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Things that are iconic to our generation or things that
- 20:02Speaker 1: we grew up to, correct? And in a world where
- 20:05Speaker 1: people are constantly trying to keep up with like the
- 20:07Speaker 1: next social media slang trend or whatever it is that's
- 20:11Speaker 1: relevant to that generation, sometimes we look back at our own.
- 20:16Speaker 1: So is today, let's confuse the Gen Z. Actually, I
- 20:20Speaker 1: think maybe the Gen alphas may not know this. Gen Z's,
- 20:23Speaker 1: I feel like I have a lot of Gen Z friends,
- 20:25Speaker 1: and I think that some of them.
- 20:27Speaker 1: They're still on the cusp a little bit. They still
- 20:30Speaker 1: know some of these things and they might have grown
- 20:32Speaker 1: up a little bit with it. But here's a question
- 20:34Speaker 1: for you today, OK? If you're a millennial, or if
- 20:37Speaker 1: you're above the age of 30,
- 20:40Speaker 1: What are some slangs or even moments that you grew
- 20:44Speaker 1: up with that Gen Zs or Gen alphas will not understand?
- 20:49Speaker 1: And this one was pretty funny because, um, I, I
- 20:52Speaker 1: went to the comments section immediately because the, the, the
- 20:55Speaker 1: caption was write something in comments that Gen Z or
- 20:58Speaker 1: Gen Alpha will not understand. I can predict a phone
- 21:02Speaker 1: call 5 seconds before it comes.
- 21:05Speaker 1: OK, can you please explain to those who don't understand? Um,
- 21:08Speaker 1: if I'm not wrong, it's the, you know, if, for example,
- 21:11Speaker 1: you're driving and somebody calls you and you're while you're
- 21:13Speaker 1: in the car, you hear the the reception thing and
- 21:16Speaker 1: then the phone will ring after 2 seconds or 3 seconds.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Initially I thought it was the dial-up internet thing that
- 21:21Speaker 1: they were talking about. That one is to call, that
- 21:23Speaker 1: one is to dial up to your connection before broadband
- 21:25Speaker 1: became a thing, right? So another one here. I need
- 21:28Speaker 1: to burn these songs into a CD.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Um, picking random names from a phone book and prank
- 21:36Speaker 1: calling them. OK, I think we all did this. We
- 21:38Speaker 1: all did this as kids for sure. Um, someone here commented,
- 21:42Speaker 1: you can't use the internet. I'm on the phone. Yes,
- 21:46Speaker 1: because if you are on the internet and somebody calls
- 21:48Speaker 1: your house, that's it, the line will disconnect. I think
- 21:50Speaker 1: this was like 100% our childhood, right, for sure. Um,
- 21:54Speaker 1: where's the floppy disk? I don't think anyone knows what
- 21:57Speaker 1: that is anymore.
- 21:59Speaker 1: Or someone commented here, going to the library to get
- 22:02Speaker 1: information for a school project. I don't know if anyone
- 22:04Speaker 1: even physically goes down anymore, but I kind of miss
- 22:06Speaker 1: those times. OK. And then there's another one comment that
- 22:09Speaker 1: I burst out laughing at. Go for it. Stacey's mom
- 22:12Speaker 1: has got it going on. And like, you know, it
- 22:15Speaker 1: had like 2000 likes on that. OK, for me, I'll
- 22:19Speaker 1: do two things. I'll list you 6 names. You ready?
- 22:22Speaker 1: Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler, Rachel, and Joey. Hold on, hold on. Actually, right, the,
- 22:28Speaker 1: the Friends phenomenon, as I call it, it has survived generations.
- 22:32Speaker 1: Like for some reason, my Gen Z friends love Friends
- 22:35Speaker 1: as well. And personally, I didn't watch Friends until a
- 22:39Speaker 1: few years.
- 22:39Speaker 1: A few years ago. I didn't grow up with it,
- 22:41Speaker 1: but because Netflix had it for quite a long time on,
- 22:45Speaker 1: on their streaming platform, I started rewatching it from the
- 22:47Speaker 1: top and I was like, oh, actually, I really love it.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Some of the jokes are OK, but most of them,
- 22:51Speaker 1: if you air it now, or if you just release
- 22:54Speaker 1: it now, I think the show might be canceled.
- 22:56Speaker 1: But hey, I miss the time where people weren't so
- 22:59Speaker 1: woke lah sometimes, you know. I'll give you one more, right, Dolly, Ronnie, Denise, Paul.
- 23:05Speaker 1: I think that was our version of friends in Singapore.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I mean it was our very first sitcom. Exactly. Give
- 23:11Speaker 1: us a call 669-11987 or drop us a message 90050987.
- 23:18Speaker 1: If you're most likely in the millennial generation or maybe
- 23:21Speaker 1: you're a late Gen Z, OK.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Call us or message us and tell us something that
- 23:26Speaker 1: maybe the Gen alphas will not understand.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Or maybe even the Gen Zer let's see, let's see
- 23:32Speaker 1: may not understand. Let us know and this could be
- 23:35Speaker 1: bringing you back to your childhood as well. We'd love
- 23:38Speaker 1: to hear from you. In exchange, we've got a lovely
- 23:40Speaker 1: Korean dining experience. This is worth $100. We'll tell you
- 23:44Speaker 1: more about them in a bit. Sonia and Joakim here
- 23:46Speaker 1: with you having some fun this morning.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Came across a video with a caption that said, if
- 23:52Speaker 1: you are a millennial, drop a sentence here in the
- 23:55Speaker 1: comment section that younger Gen Z's and Gen alphas may
- 23:59Speaker 1: not understand. Our messages coming through right now, cracking us up,
- 24:04Speaker 1: taking a walk down memory lane to our childhood. Let's
- 24:06Speaker 1: start with some. Wanna say hello to Hafiz. Hafiz says,
- 24:10Speaker 1: don't waste SMS because you only have like
- 24:13Speaker 1: A limited amount, right? Last time I remember my first plan.
- 24:17Speaker 1: We had like 50 or 100 free SMSs monthly and
- 24:21Speaker 1: we had to be very careful because if not, then
- 24:23Speaker 1: one SMS would be about 10 cents or 5 cents.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Can you, can you imagine that? I mean, OK, back
- 24:28Speaker 1: then I didn't really have the freedom to use a
- 24:31Speaker 1: phone that often, you know, we were just like in
- 24:33Speaker 1: primary school, I didn't have that freedom, right? Can you imagine?
- 24:37Speaker 1: We text like it's free, right? We basically just text
- 24:41Speaker 1: back and forth. We can send 100 messages to the
- 24:44Speaker 1: same person in one day. I mean, your iMessage, your WhatsApp,
- 24:49Speaker 1: your Telegrams, and even back then, to be fair to them, BlackBerry,
- 24:53Speaker 1: the BBM thing, BlackBerry, yeah, it was, uh, it was
- 24:56Speaker 1: like free messaging already. They changed the game, to be
- 24:58Speaker 1: honest with you. One coming in from Jonathan, I need
- 25:01Speaker 1: to find a public phone to return a call.
- 25:06Speaker 1: OK, like this one, I think, uh, my, my parents
- 25:08Speaker 1: used to tell me, this is the reason why they're
- 25:11Speaker 1: so punctual because back then they don't have like cellphones, right,
- 25:15Speaker 1: or smartphones. So, um they had pagers or whatever they
- 25:19Speaker 1: had back then.
- 25:20Speaker 1: You really have to count on the person showing up
- 25:23Speaker 1: at this time and this place like punctually so that
- 25:27Speaker 1: you don't, you don't miss each other. If not, you
- 25:29Speaker 1: got to find the public phone to call. And back
- 25:31Speaker 1: then for me in primary school before phones were a thing, right? Come,
- 25:34Speaker 1: Joakim Gomez, go to the staff room, use the phone
- 25:36Speaker 1: and call your mother now. Oh no, why? Because you,
- 25:39Speaker 1: you messed up, right? Do something naughty at school.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Hey, one more coming in from, um, Hata. Hata, you
- 25:46Speaker 1: say whole family watching growing up together. Yeah, I like that.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I remember Lim Kay Tong Wei Hui, Jamie Yo. Yeah,
- 25:54Speaker 1: she doesn't even live in Singapore anymore, right, does she?
- 25:56Speaker 1: I think she's overseas. Andrew Xia, remember him memories, man,
- 26:00Speaker 1: really memories. OK, well, keep the calls coming through.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Love it. 669-11987. We're gonna get to phone lines in
- 26:08Speaker 1: just a short while. In exchange for your stories, you
- 26:11Speaker 1: could be walking away with a $100 Korean dining experience.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Sonny and Jokim here with you, really just having a
- 26:17Speaker 1: good laugh right now because I, I saw a video
- 26:19Speaker 1: on TikTok and Instagram just last night that got us thinking,
- 26:23Speaker 1: and the, and the caption was,
- 26:25Speaker 1: Dropped something in the comments that the younger Gen Z's
- 26:28Speaker 1: and Gen alphas may not understand. So they had a
- 26:32Speaker 1: really long list of comments that really cracked me up.
- 26:35Speaker 1: We want to find out from you this morning. One
- 26:36Speaker 1: coming in from Luffy, and this is something I did
- 26:39Speaker 1: so much of, Sonia.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Last time when the Sony PlayStation couldn't read the disc,
- 26:46Speaker 1: we just flipped it upside down and it works. And
- 26:50Speaker 1: even if you game on a Sega Mega Drive, right,
- 26:53Speaker 1: if it's not working, you take out the cartridge, blow it,
- 26:56Speaker 1: put it back in, hit it twice and it'll work.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Is it?
- 27:00Speaker 1: Did it really work or is it just like honestly
- 27:04Speaker 1: sheer violence works? We could all have been mechanics back then,
- 27:07Speaker 1: just bang it twice. But here's the thing also, right?
- 27:10Speaker 1: Do you feel like devices back then were a lot hardier? Yes,
- 27:13Speaker 1: you can like drop it, shake it, do whatever you want,
- 27:16Speaker 1: it ends up working. Yeah, anyway, one text coming in
- 27:19Speaker 1: from Ronnie. This one says Hokkien Taka pager.
- 27:24Speaker 1: What's Hokkien Taka? The big, the big, big pager. Yes,
- 27:27Speaker 1: so embarrassing, and I'm Hokkien, by the way, like my,
- 27:31Speaker 1: it's OK. OK. We actually have Henri on the line
- 27:35Speaker 1: right now. Henri, what about you? Uh, Hannah Montana. You
- 27:38Speaker 1: think they don't? Well, I think she made a comeback though, right?
- 27:41Speaker 1: I think with the 20th year anniversary, she might have
- 27:45Speaker 1: introduced Hannah Montana to a whole new generation. I'd rather reintroduce. Yeah,
- 27:48Speaker 1: same for Hillary.
- 27:49Speaker 1: Duff and Lizzie McGuire. True, true. But did you like
- 27:52Speaker 1: religiously follow Hannah Montana when you were a kid? Oh, yeah,
- 27:56Speaker 1: I wanted to be like her. Speaking of wanting to
- 27:58Speaker 1: be like her, have you ever wanted to be like
- 28:01Speaker 1: a character that you saw in a cartoon or something
- 28:03Speaker 1: growing up because I wanted to be Ash in Pokemon.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Hey, you know what, everybody wanted to be Ash, especially
- 28:10Speaker 1: if you're a Pokemon fan. Exactly, um, it was either
- 28:13Speaker 1: that or Buttercup from Powerpuff Girls. So I wanted to
- 28:15Speaker 1: be Buttercup. You're more of Bubbles. No, actually, actually, no,
- 28:19Speaker 1: I'll put you, I'll put you as Blossom. You're more
- 28:22Speaker 1: the team leader. No, you're not so angry. I resonate
- 28:25Speaker 1: with Buttercup. Yeah, she's.
- 28:28Speaker 1: She's like my inner thoughts. OK. Anyway, keep the calls
- 28:32Speaker 1: and the messages coming through.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Um, drop a statement. Let's say if you're a millennial
- 28:36Speaker 1: or a late Gen Z, drop a statement that you
- 28:38Speaker 1: feel the younger Gen Zs and Gen alphas will not understand.
- 28:42Speaker 1: Saw this video that blew up on TikTok and Instagram
- 28:45Speaker 1: and I thought it was hilarious. So let us know
- 28:47Speaker 1: what are your thoughts and tell us in exchange, a
- 28:49Speaker 1: $100 dining experience could be yours. The finesse right here
- 28:53Speaker 1: on 987, Singapore's number one hit music station. Sonia and
- 28:56Speaker 1: Joakim here with you. Thanks for joining us here today.
- 28:58Speaker 1: I guess in an act of, um, I wouldn't say rebellion,
- 29:01Speaker 1: but just humor.
- 29:03Speaker 1: In a way, there was a viral video that went
- 29:06Speaker 1: on TikTok and Instagram where this guy posted a video saying,
- 29:10Speaker 1: if you are a millennial, post something in the comment
- 29:13Speaker 1: section that the younger Gen Z and Gen alphas may
- 29:17Speaker 1: not understand.
- 29:18Speaker 1: So there were a slew of like things that really
- 29:22Speaker 1: took us down memory lane for us when we were
- 29:24Speaker 1: a child. OK, I'm gonna say something. Yeah, bus pass.
- 29:27Speaker 1: A bus pass, yes. Or EasyLink card like your nearest
- 29:30Speaker 1: NTUC bus, before, before, before you had to buy the
- 29:34Speaker 1: little bus.
- 29:35Speaker 1: stamps that you paste on the bus pass, and you
- 29:37Speaker 1: showed the driver every morning. So I didn't use this
- 29:41Speaker 1: because I had a school bus back then, you know,
- 29:44Speaker 1: back and forth and because my parents are quite protective parents,
- 29:48Speaker 1: they were the ones that would drop me at school
- 29:50Speaker 1: like whenever I didn't, yeah.
- 29:51Speaker 1: So I was very, very grateful, very lucky, the princess
- 29:54Speaker 1: of the family. Princess Chu. Wanna say good morning to Jeffrey. Hey,
- 29:58Speaker 1: Sonia and Joakim. Remember the days when we had to
- 30:00Speaker 1: ask our dates to meet at either the first or
- 30:03Speaker 1: last door of the MRT? You start questioning yourself after
- 30:07Speaker 1: a few trains went by if your date's gonna turn
- 30:09Speaker 1: up and you have no way to access to the
- 30:11Speaker 1: public phones on platforms. Oh no. Did you ever experience that?
- 30:15Speaker 1: Yeah, at a time where you didn't have a smartphone
- 30:18Speaker 1: maybe in secondary school, you know, going out with the
- 30:20Speaker 1: girl that you like from secondary school, you know, here's
- 30:22Speaker 1: a fun fact. I never went out with anyone in
- 30:25Speaker 1: secondary school. I was I was very quiet, OK.
- 30:31Speaker 1: I love how it's the reverse of both of us,
- 30:33Speaker 1: in secondary school. Hello, let's go. That's why I always detention. OK,
- 30:40Speaker 1: last couple of messages and uh one more quick call
- 30:43Speaker 1: before we wrap things up here on the show. Um,
- 30:45Speaker 1: and the question was, can you drop something?
- 30:48Speaker 1: That perhaps millennials will understand, but the younger Gen Z
- 30:51Speaker 1: and Gen alphas may not get it. Saying good morning
- 30:55Speaker 1: to Eric, who says, meeting point, Wis fish tank. It
- 31:00Speaker 1: doesn't exist anymore, right? Actually, did they ever reveal like why?
- 31:04Speaker 1: I don't think so, didn't, but if my memory serves
- 31:08Speaker 1: me correctly, the fish tank used to be where the
- 31:13Speaker 1: current Tiong Bahru bakery is, right, right, right, and around
- 31:16Speaker 1: the Ben's cookies area. So did you ever get a
- 31:19Speaker 1: date to meet you at the fish? No, no, you
- 31:21Speaker 1: never did. No, no, no, OK.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Anywhere else that you that you remember or no? OK, it's,
- 31:28Speaker 1: I was a Huron and Sydney Leisure kid. Yeah, because
- 31:31Speaker 1: of the, the CD shop, right? Yes, and also laser
- 31:33Speaker 1: tag dates over at S Leisure. Let's get back to
- 31:36Speaker 1: the messages. Steven Koh saying, hey guys, how about this one?
- 31:40Speaker 1: Exam is coming. Wanna go to the airport and study?
- 31:43Speaker 1: You know what we got.
- 31:44Speaker 1: one message saying that, and I'm not gonna lie, I
- 31:46Speaker 1: did that so much back then. I don't know why.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Why do we always choose the airport? I'm I'm guessing
- 31:50Speaker 1: Terminal 2. Terminal 2 hall. There was a Starbucks. Is
- 31:53Speaker 1: that Terminal 2 as well? It's still there. It's still there,
- 31:56Speaker 1: I think. So it was our go to like overnight
- 31:58Speaker 1: study place, but I think it was just an excuse
- 32:01Speaker 1: for people to hang out with the one, the person
- 32:03Speaker 1: that you like.
- 32:04Speaker 1: And then call it a study session, you know. One
- 32:07Speaker 1: coming in from LY. It's running to the toilet during
- 32:10Speaker 1: commercial breaks because we can't pause the TV shows. Facts.
- 32:14Speaker 1: But now we can. Yeah, so convenient these days. Things
- 32:17Speaker 1: have honestly changed so much, but like great memories though.
- 32:20Speaker 1: So thank you for your messages. Speaking of running to
- 32:22Speaker 1: the toilet, yeah, yeah, just a disclaimer, if you're going
- 32:25Speaker 1: to watch Project Hail Mary in cinemas, don't run off,
- 32:29Speaker 1: make sure you.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Empty your bladders first. OK, I'm gonna watch it. I'm
- 32:33Speaker 1: trying to see if I have time this weekend to
- 32:34Speaker 1: watch it. I've heard so much good things. Please watch
- 32:36Speaker 1: it in IMAX. Do I have to bring tissues because
- 32:39Speaker 1: you told me that I'm gonna cry. You will laugh,
- 32:41Speaker 1: you will cry, you remain silent and you'll be very,
- 32:44Speaker 1: very kept on the edge of your seat. Sounds like
- 32:46Speaker 1: me on a regular day. I go through all these emotions.
- 32:48Speaker 1: So please just don't provide live commentary. OK, I'll try
- 32:51Speaker 1: to shut up. Keep quiet and watch the movie. I will.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Don't spoil it for Jeremy.
- 32:56Speaker 1: It's too late. He signed up for this for life.
- 32:58Speaker 1: About to wrap it up here. We've got so many
- 33:00Speaker 1: messages we didn't even manage to get through. We're so
- 33:02Speaker 1: sorry about that. But we took a walk down memory
- 33:04Speaker 1: lane here today and we want to give this Korean
- 33:06Speaker 1: dining experience to one lucky winner. Actually, one just came in,
- 33:10Speaker 1: which I feel needs to mention. Really? And I'm pretty
- 33:13Speaker 1: sure you've done this before as well, which is Neil Prince. Yeah,
- 33:16Speaker 1: of course. In fact, it's still around.
- 33:18Speaker 1: And they still have photo studios that do that. I
- 33:20Speaker 1: remember in the 2000s, Cine Leisure. Every floor had those
- 33:24Speaker 1: Japanese neo print booths. so cute. Thank you very much, John,
- 33:28Speaker 1: for that text. But for today's winner, let's give it
- 33:30Speaker 1: to something I relate to a lot. Running to the
- 33:32Speaker 1: toilet during commercial breaks because you can't pause or record
- 33:36Speaker 1: the TV shows. L1. Congratulations.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Honestly, you're just based off your profile picture, it looks
- 33:43Speaker 1: like you and your family are gonna enjoy this experience already.
- 33:46Speaker 1: We're taking you to Resorts World Sentosa's weave. Yes, for
- 33:49Speaker 1: Dream Gold Korean Steakhouse. So if you heard of Dream
- 33:53Speaker 1: Dream is like business class for them or first class.
- 33:56Speaker 1: It's gonna be, they're gonna pamper you in style by
- 33:58Speaker 1: giving you a dramatic cave concept that makes it a
- 34:01Speaker 1: unique and memorable dining experience for you.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Right, like you mentioned, that's why this is like the
- 34:08Speaker 1: premium outlet. Dream is at Mandarin Gallery, but Dream Gold, yeah,
- 34:12Speaker 1: it's at at Sentosa. So please follow them up on Instagram, Dreamgold.sg.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Saw this in the news recently. Uh-huh. Uh, it's more
- 34:21Speaker 1: maybe say TikTok video and then it became news posted
- 34:25Speaker 1: on a citizen journalism website where cinema etiquette here in Singapore, it's,
- 34:29Speaker 1: it's scary lah. Why is it getting worse?
- 34:31Speaker 1: Can it get worse? Sometimes I feel as if it's
- 34:34Speaker 1: non-existent because people are talking in cinemas, they're doing all that.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Find out what happened to this couple in just a
- 34:40Speaker 1: bit here on the short circuit, sound good. It's a
- 34:43Speaker 1: bit of pot calling the kettle black. I see. Alright,
- 34:46Speaker 1: all the details and next, OK, before we invite our
- 34:49Speaker 1: guest in, we're actually about to go on TikTok live
- 34:51Speaker 1: right now. We are live already. That's right. Oh, we're live. Hello.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Hi friends on TikTok. Yeah, thanks for joining us.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Uh, cinema etiquette here in Singapore. I don't know whether
- 35:00Speaker 1: it's it non-existent now. Why do we need to address that?
- 35:03Speaker 1: That's the question. So on Sunday when I went to
- 35:06Speaker 1: go watch Project Hail Mary in IMAX here, big cinema,
- 35:10Speaker 1: but unfortunately people were talking during the movie. They were
- 35:14Speaker 1: discussing the movie plot lines. When did this start happening?
- 35:17Speaker 1: I don't know. I mean, I don't know why behavior
- 35:19Speaker 1: is no longer existed. And then on social media, I
- 35:22Speaker 1: saw this video where
- 35:24Speaker 1: There was a man in front of a couple watching
- 35:26Speaker 1: the same movie, Project Hail Mary, and this man would
- 35:29Speaker 1: look back at a couple saying, please shut up. You
- 35:34Speaker 1: think it was valid. The full phrase I can't say.
- 35:37Speaker 1: So according to what the couple said was, I'm a
- 35:39Speaker 1: bit shocked because we were talking very softly during the movie,
- 35:44Speaker 1: and everyone was talking loudly. So this kind of altered
- 35:47Speaker 1: themselves as well. You're not supposed to be.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Talking during a movie unless it's really important like oh
- 35:52Speaker 1: somebody has to go to the toilet or you're not
- 35:54Speaker 1: feeling well. I just wonder, right, do you think the
- 35:55Speaker 1: etiquette has changed over the time of COVID, people were
- 36:00Speaker 1: super used to like just watching movies at home and
- 36:02Speaker 1: you're just yapping amongst yourself, right? And then they kind
- 36:06Speaker 1: of adopt this to the public cinema if you're going
- 36:10Speaker 1: to a public place like the cinema.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Be considerate. Don't do that. No need to talk. It's
- 36:15Speaker 1: just 2 to 3 hours of keeping quiet. I'm sure
- 36:17Speaker 1: you can do it and the rest of your day
- 36:19Speaker 1: when you say that.
- 36:21Speaker 1: OK, wait, but I don't like do commentary really loudly though.
- 36:24Speaker 1: I mean, it's only to the person next to you. It's,
- 36:27Speaker 1: it's to you. I'm sharing the experience with you. Avengers Endgame,
- 36:31Speaker 1: the whole cinema heard her crying over Spider-Man. Excuse me,
- 36:34Speaker 1: you watch movies yourself now, OK? You always complain, Hey,
- 36:36Speaker 1: you want to watch with me, then when I'm not free,
- 36:37Speaker 1: you're like, Oh, OK, I'll watch alone. Miss Sonia Chew,
- 36:40Speaker 1: watching movies alone is my specialty.
- 36:43Speaker 1: So you don't want to be around, is it? Yeah,
- 36:44Speaker 1: it's quiet, nice and peaceful. We just had like a
- 36:47Speaker 1: 5-minute long chat exclusive on TikTok Live. We want to
- 36:51Speaker 1: welcome someone who's been a very passionate endurance athlete for
- 36:54Speaker 1: a very, very long time. Wilfred's journey has taken him
- 36:57Speaker 1: all around the world, as we have learned over the
- 36:59Speaker 1: past few minutes. And how about cycling from Singapore to
- 37:02Speaker 1: KL and back to Singapore again for a good cause.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Tour de Cure as they call it. Say hello to
- 37:07Speaker 1: Wilfred in the studio.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Welcome. Good morning. Good morning. This is definitely not early
- 37:13Speaker 1: for you, right? Uh,
- 37:14Speaker 2: no, this is OK. This
- 37:15Speaker 1: is normal.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I wouldn't say middle of the day, but it's, yeah,
- 37:17Speaker 2: it's still morning.
- 37:18Speaker 1: What time do you usually wake up here in Singapore
- 37:20Speaker 1: to cycle roads before it gets busy?
- 37:23Speaker 2: I mean, enjoy the roads, nice and quiet.
- 37:25Speaker 2: And before the the heat really kicks in, I think
- 37:27Speaker 2: you would have to get up probably about, uh, you know,
- 37:29Speaker 2: 4 or 5 a.m. but uh I do a school
- 37:32Speaker 2: drop-off as well in the morning. So if I do
- 37:33Speaker 2: my training, it will be before that. So uh
- 37:35Speaker 1: yeah. So sometimes when I actually drive into work and
- 37:39Speaker 1: it's already very early, like 5 in the morning, right?
- 37:42Speaker 1: I noticed some people already cycling. You might be one
- 37:45Speaker 1: of them.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Could be, could be,
- 37:47Speaker 1: could
- 37:47Speaker 2: be.
- 37:47Speaker 1: It could be you. OK, so thank you for making
- 37:49Speaker 1: the time to come on down. I know tomorrow is
- 37:51Speaker 1: going to be a big day for you. That's where
- 37:53Speaker 1: you really kick off. Can you tell us a bit
- 37:55Speaker 1: more about what you're doing with uh Twitter?
- 37:57Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. So, um, Tour the Cure is a,
- 38:00Speaker 2: is an Australian cancer research foundation that was founded in 2007.
- 38:04Speaker 2: They do a, a fundraising mainly just for cancer research.
- 38:08Speaker 2: And uh one of my teammates, uh, Jimmy, that will
- 38:10Speaker 2: be joining me tomorrow on that uh big, big ride, um,
- 38:13Speaker 2: he has joined one of their events last year. He
- 38:16Speaker 2: wanted to do that again this year, but due to
- 38:17Speaker 2: work commitments, he couldn't really make it.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Um, and I have, um, you know, sort of now
- 38:22Speaker 2: an extra motivation to join this event because my uncle
- 38:24Speaker 2: is diagnosed with both, uh, prostate cancer and, and lung cancer.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Jimmy's dad is also undergoing chemo as we speak. So,
- 38:32Speaker 2: we wanted to do something and we wanted to organize
- 38:33Speaker 2: our own sort of event and, um, Tour de Cure
- 38:36Speaker 2: was very supportive as well of us organizing our own
- 38:38Speaker 2: fundraising event. So we're gonna cycle from Singapore to KL,
- 38:42Speaker 2: KL back to Singapore.
- 38:43Speaker 2: Uh, in 2 days, so it's 450 kilometers each day.
- 38:51Speaker 1: I don't know if that's their priority. I'm not sure
- 38:54Speaker 1: if food is priority at this point.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Food will be, I mean, we have to think about
- 38:58Speaker 2: our hydration and and refuel and there'll be definitely a
- 39:01Speaker 2: lot of stops, but we'll try and make some good pace.
- 39:03Speaker 2: That's why we start really early in the morning as well,
- 39:05Speaker 2: and ride a lot in the, in the morning before
- 39:07Speaker 2: the the sun comes up.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Um, but yeah, we really wanted to do something for our,
- 39:10Speaker 2: our family members, and I'm pretty sure that everyone in this,
- 39:13Speaker 2: in this studio, but, you know, that you know, would
- 39:15Speaker 2: have somebody that has been impacted by cancer. Hopefully through
- 39:18Speaker 2: raising a lot of funds, and I think we're currently
- 39:20Speaker 2: at about $6500. We're trying to get to $20,000. Um.
- 39:25Speaker 2: We can raise a lot of funds for for cancer
- 39:27Speaker 2: research and hopefully in the future, help a lot of
- 39:28Speaker 2: people try and kick out this um this terrible disease.
- 39:31Speaker 1: Yeah, no, I, I will say that, uh, when I
- 39:34Speaker 1: knew about this and I just want to give a
- 39:36Speaker 1: big shout out to our friends at MG who are
- 39:37Speaker 1: one of your sponsors as well, and I think, I
- 39:40Speaker 1: believe they will definitely have people there cheering you on
- 39:43Speaker 1: at the start line, at the finish line and everything. Um,
- 39:45Speaker 1: I want to
- 39:46Speaker 1: Some love to my dad who actually went through cancer
- 39:48Speaker 1: treatments just over the last couple of years. It's not easy,
- 39:52Speaker 1: but beyond the person dealing with it, it is also
- 39:56Speaker 1: about the people around that person and the caregivers. So
- 40:00Speaker 1: what would you say, like, aside from the person going
- 40:03Speaker 1: through this terrible disease, do you want to say anything
- 40:05Speaker 1: to the caregivers out there?
- 40:07Speaker 1: I think,
- 40:07Speaker 2: I mean, a massive thanks to everyone that is involved
- 40:10Speaker 2: in trying to help people through this journey. I think
- 40:12Speaker 2: it's not easy. Um, of course, you know, it's, you know,
- 40:15Speaker 2: you have the doctors that help you, you have the nurses,
- 40:17Speaker 2: you have the caretakers, you have, um, all those good
- 40:20Speaker 2: people trying to do the best they can to, to
- 40:22Speaker 2: help people and support the people. I think the other
- 40:24Speaker 2: really important thing for me as well, as you can
- 40:25Speaker 2: see on my arm as well, um, the tattoo Jia
- 40:28Speaker 2: obviously it stands for family. Family, I think is also very,
- 40:31Speaker 2: very important and
- 40:32Speaker 2: I think what we've seen through this journey, um, MG
- 40:34Speaker 2: has stepped up really in a big way um to
- 40:37Speaker 2: help us um and through the Eurocast Group as well,
- 40:39Speaker 2: but I think the other really uh big um support
- 40:42Speaker 2: for us, I guess, is, is the, the wider family
- 40:44Speaker 2: and the wider community. Pretty much everyone has, has, has
- 40:47Speaker 2: um backed us as well and, and specializes come in
- 40:50Speaker 2: a big way.
- 40:51Speaker 2: To support us. They've been a long, longtime sponsor of
- 40:53Speaker 2: the team. Um, but they've really gone over and beyond
- 40:55Speaker 2: to try and help out, make sure we have all the,
- 40:57Speaker 2: the needs and the, you know, supplies and the support
- 40:59Speaker 2: that we need in the car. If anything goes wrong, we,
- 41:01Speaker 2: we have support. Um, so, yeah, I think, you know,
- 41:04Speaker 2: not just the caretakers, but family as well is very important.
- 41:07Speaker 2: It's the pillar, right? It's the people you lean on
- 41:09Speaker 2: and the
- 41:10Speaker 2: They probably feel very helpless. It's a, it's a, you know, you,
- 41:12Speaker 2: you wanna do something but you don't know what you
- 41:14Speaker 2: can do. And that's I think one of the things that, that, um,
- 41:17Speaker 2: I think I've realized now through this journey and trying
- 41:19Speaker 2: to raise funds is the, the community is just so, um,
- 41:23Speaker 2: touching and important, right? So I think, yeah, massive thanks
- 41:25Speaker 2: to everyone that's been involved because
- 41:27Speaker 2: Without them, it wouldn't have been possible.
- 41:31Speaker 1: What's the packing because firstly, I perspire a lot. So
- 41:35Speaker 1: I think when I run, I got to take loads
- 41:37Speaker 1: of electrolytes and my gels and how do you keep
- 41:39Speaker 1: your passport dry?
- 41:41Speaker 2: I think that one will be as soon as we
- 41:43Speaker 2: cross the border, chuck that in the car so we
- 41:45Speaker 2: don't have it with us, yeah, it's it's a massive car,
- 41:51Speaker 2: so we have a lot of uh um extra gear there,
- 41:53Speaker 2: but I think.
- 41:54Speaker 2: So my teammate Jimmy, he's a, he's a, yeah, he
- 41:56Speaker 2: sweats profusely, so he needs a lot of extra jerseys
- 42:00Speaker 2: and a lot of extra bibs, but we have a
- 42:01Speaker 2: lot of extra jerseys
- 42:02Speaker 1: yeah.
- 42:03Speaker 1: I mean,
- 42:08Speaker 2: a lot of sun protection, yeah, yeah. So like I said, right,
- 42:10Speaker 2: I love the sun but it doesn't love me back
- 42:11Speaker 2: in the same way, so I need to wear a
- 42:13Speaker 2: lot of sun protection, but um so we'll have a
- 42:15Speaker 2: lot of extra.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Uh, long sleeve, uh, gear as well, so our current, um, um,
- 42:19Speaker 2: jersey sponsor is Atteca, which is an Australian brand. They
- 42:22Speaker 2: obviously take their sun protection very seriously.
- 42:25Speaker 2: And they've also been really good in sending us additional
- 42:27Speaker 2: jerseys to wear with with long sleeves specifically made for
- 42:30Speaker 2: the the heat in Malaysia and Singapore. So that's been
- 42:32Speaker 2: also fantastic and obviously that will help us a lot
- 42:34Speaker 2: on the
- 42:34Speaker 1: way. I mean, since we're on the topic of gear, right,
- 42:37Speaker 1: Joakim and I were just having this conversation yesterday. How
- 42:40Speaker 1: do you stay on the bike for so long? Is
- 42:43Speaker 1: it not uncomfortable? I know you probably have your special,
- 42:46Speaker 1: you know, cushions or gear, your hamstrings, how do you
- 42:51Speaker 1: do it?
- 42:52Speaker 2: A lot of, a lot of uh chamois cream, so
- 42:54Speaker 2: that one will be very much helping as well. I
- 42:57Speaker 2: brought in a few extra tubes.
- 42:59Speaker 1: Is it do runners use
- 43:01Speaker 1: that too?
- 43:02Speaker 2: Runners, runners, cyclists, they know the drill. It's yeah, but
- 43:05Speaker 2: that one would have to be replenished quite a bit, yeah.
- 43:07Speaker 2: So
- 43:07Speaker 1: in the studio, of course, taking part in Tour de
- 43:09Speaker 1: Cure from Singapore to KL and back to Singapore again,
- 43:12Speaker 1: we have Wilfred, and I want to ask another fun question.
- 43:16Speaker 1: You know, I think for people who are doing high
- 43:19Speaker 1: rocks and 2 time this weekend, you would know that
- 43:22Speaker 1: when you train, you invest so much in your jerseys
- 43:24Speaker 1: and running shoes. Wilfred, how much have you invested in
- 43:27Speaker 1: your bike so far already?
- 43:28Speaker 2: Uh, well, actually, a big shout out to Specialized. They, uh, again,
- 43:32Speaker 2: they are one of our big sponsors and they, um,
- 43:34Speaker 2: asked me what bike am I gonna use and the
- 43:36Speaker 2: bike that I have is, um, is slightly older model.
- 43:38Speaker 2: I still love that bike a lot. Um, but I
- 43:41Speaker 2: guess it was, it would be a bit of a
- 43:42Speaker 2: harsh ride because it's really a race-specific bike. So for
- 43:45Speaker 2: that long journey, uh, probably not ideal. So, um, they
- 43:48Speaker 2: quickly said, what about we get you a brand spanking
- 43:51Speaker 2: new bike and spec it as, to make it as
- 43:54Speaker 2: comfortable for you as possible.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Um, which is a, it's a specialized Rube SL8, which
- 43:59Speaker 2: is one of the newest models that they have. Um, and, um, yeah,
- 44:02Speaker 2: that's been amazing and, and one of the good things
- 44:04Speaker 2: as well is that, I'll be using that on the,
- 44:06Speaker 2: I'll be using that on the ride and then after
- 44:08Speaker 2: the ride, we'll be, um, or specialized we'll help sell
- 44:10Speaker 2: that off and part of the proceeds will go to
- 44:12Speaker 2: the charity as well. So it's
- 44:13Speaker 1: it's a very,
- 44:15Speaker 2: but uh
- 44:16Speaker 1: yeah. So you've received the bike. Yeah,
- 44:19Speaker 2: I've ridden it a bit, so I rode uh some
- 44:20Speaker 2: miles making sure that it's comfortable so it's.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Uh, you know, the, the worst thing you can do,
- 44:24Speaker 2: like any runner or any endurance athlete will say is, oh,
- 44:26Speaker 2: use new stuff just
- 44:28Speaker 1: before the race. It's a big
- 44:28Speaker 1: no
- 44:31Speaker 1: no.
- 44:31Speaker 2: I had to, had to, I had to use it.
- 44:32Speaker 2: So I went for a longish ride on, on Sunday
- 44:34Speaker 2: on the bike and it's been really, really good. I
- 44:36Speaker 2: think it will help a lot on this journey.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's a beautiful bike as well. So for
- 44:40Speaker 2: anyone who is listening or seeing it in in some
- 44:43Speaker 2: of the footage in the coming days, if they're really keen,
- 44:45Speaker 2: go to the, go to the store and have a
- 44:47Speaker 2: look once it's, uh, once we finish the ride, and, um,
- 44:50Speaker 2: and it will be available, but it's a, yeah, it's
- 44:52Speaker 2: a great bike. I
- 44:53Speaker 1: can feel that, you know, your reaction when you open
- 44:56Speaker 1: up the bike for the first time might be very
- 44:58Speaker 1: different from the reaction you're on right now. You might
- 45:01Speaker 1: have been like a.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Oh, this is so cool. I like a kid
- 45:05Speaker 2: in the candy store I buy a new
- 45:05Speaker 1: pair of running shoes, I will sniff it.
- 45:10Speaker 1: You will sniff your showcase. Thank you for letting us
- 45:12Speaker 1: know that you can sniff your running shoe and it's
- 45:15Speaker 1: brand new because after the first run, that's it. Please don't, yeah. OK,
- 45:18Speaker 1: so take us to um the event starting tomorrow. How's
- 45:22Speaker 1: it gonna be like? Lead us through it and then
- 45:24Speaker 1: how do we support as people who may not be
- 45:26Speaker 1: able to be physically there. Yeah, exactly.
- 45:29Speaker 2: So, uh, I mean, again, uh, the MG has been
- 45:31Speaker 2: really good in providing the follow vehicle with all the
- 45:34Speaker 2: needs that we that we need on this, on this journey.
- 45:36Speaker 2: It's Amazing. So we'll flag off and start at 3 a.m.,
- 45:39Speaker 2: which is a bit early. So for those that can't join,
- 45:41Speaker 2: no worries.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, please, yes, please.
- 45:45Speaker 2: So we start at 3:00 a.m.,
- 45:46Speaker 1: um,
- 45:47Speaker 2: uh, from the MG showroom at Langy Road, um, and,
- 45:51Speaker 2: uh
- 45:53Speaker 1: Alexandra.
- 45:54Speaker 2: So then hopefully we get to the border at, uh, at,
- 45:56Speaker 2: you know, in about 40, 45 minutes to an hour's time, um,
- 45:59Speaker 2: and then, uh, hopefully get as many miles in before
- 46:01Speaker 2: the sun.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Comes out, so hopefully by about midday we'll be at
- 46:06Speaker 2: uh Malacca, hopefully, um, we'll be stopping over there at
- 46:09Speaker 2: the at the MG showroom as well, so that'll be
- 46:11Speaker 2: nice to refuel, uh, recharge the car cause it's an
- 46:13Speaker 2: electric car, so we need some more juice. We need
- 46:17Speaker 2: to refuel as well, so we get some meal and
- 46:19Speaker 2: uh and uh yeah, we can drink some uh some
- 46:21Speaker 2: um some isotonic, electrolytes, etc. and then we're on our
- 46:25Speaker 2: way to uh to KL and then um at the hopefully.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Evening time we'll arrive, then the morning after we'll be
- 46:31Speaker 2: uh leaving again about 4 a.m. to uh again beat
- 46:34Speaker 2: the traffic, beat the heat, uh, and then make our
- 46:36Speaker 2: way to, to Singapore will be
- 46:38Speaker 1: streamed,
- 46:41Speaker 2: I think, uh, you know, there'll be some shots on
- 46:44Speaker 2: our uh SG Mavericks or the Mavericks my team. They will,
- 46:47Speaker 2: they will do some jersey.
- 46:49Speaker 2: We'll do some, uh, some footage, uh, I think, um,
- 46:52Speaker 2: the Eurocast group and both MG will also probably have
- 46:54Speaker 2: some shots here and there. Lovely, um, and, um, I'll
- 46:57Speaker 2: take my Apple Air tag as well so we have
- 46:59Speaker 2: a live location we can share and say, hey, this
- 47:02Speaker 2: is where, where, where they are now and how they're going.
- 47:04Speaker 1: This might be a question for me it's the weekend,
- 47:08Speaker 1: it might be quite jammed at the Causeway.
- 47:10Speaker 1: Because it's a long weekend, Singapore. I think they're leaving
- 47:22Speaker 1: at an early enough timing.
- 47:23Speaker 2: It's
- 47:23Speaker 2: early enough on Thursday Thursday is still a school day
- 47:25Speaker 2: and a work day, so I think it's OK. And
- 47:29Speaker 2: then Friday on the way back in should still be
- 47:29Speaker 2: OK because everybody wants to go out.
- 47:31Speaker 1: OK,
- 47:31Speaker 1: so tell us, how can we help you?
- 47:33Speaker 1: with the fundraising, for example, you said you have a
- 47:35Speaker 1: goal of $20,000. Is there a site you can share
- 47:38Speaker 1: with us? We have a link
- 47:39Speaker 2: uh that uh I, uh, I will share as well
- 47:42Speaker 2: where people can donate. It's super easy. I think it's
- 47:44Speaker 2: probably one of the best user experiences that I've ever seen.
- 47:46Speaker 2: It's 3 clicks and you, you can donate. You don't
- 47:48Speaker 2: have to even think about the currency because it's an
- 47:51Speaker 2: Australian charity, but you don't have to think about it.
- 47:52Speaker 2: You put $100 Sing dollars, it will do everything else
- 47:54Speaker 2: for you.
- 47:55Speaker 2: Um, so it's very easy. That link can be shared, uh,
- 47:58Speaker 2: and we'll be sharing that across our journey as well,
- 47:59Speaker 2: so people can hopefully donate as much as possible and,
- 48:02Speaker 2: and support this great cause.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Nice. Really hope that you achieve everything you want to achieve,
- 48:06Speaker 1: maybe even, um, surpass $20,000 out there. Fingers crossed. Thank
- 48:10Speaker 1: you for doing what you're doing and a big shout
- 48:12Speaker 1: out to your key sponsors, Specialized, our friends over at
- 48:15Speaker 1: MG Eurocars as well.
- 48:17Speaker 1: And many, many more I'm sure that are coming on
- 48:18Speaker 1: board to partner. Anything else, last words that you want
- 48:21Speaker 1: to add in before we let you go on your
- 48:23Speaker 1: two-day long journey?
- 48:24Speaker 2: Uh, no, just thanks everyone for their support. Really, really
- 48:27Speaker 2: appreciate it and uh yeah, let's make this a big
- 48:29Speaker 2: community event and and get behind this. So yeah,
- 48:31Speaker 1: thanks for everyone and thank you guys for
- 48:33Speaker 1: having me. All the best. Thank you, you love.
- 48:38Speaker 1: So we are less than 6 hours away from posting
- 48:41Speaker 1: a major Disney adventure giveaway. We wanted to wait till
- 48:43Speaker 1: you're back in school to celebrate you coming back and
- 48:46Speaker 1: you know, hey, long weekend and everything, right? Why not? Yeah,
- 48:48Speaker 1: so it's his or her bundle. Yeah, his or hers.
- 48:52Speaker 1: We had $500 in budget, but of course both of
- 48:56Speaker 1: us cannot count. It burst. Yeah, I was, I was saying.
- 48:58Speaker 1: That we didn't quite count anything. I just, I was
- 49:00Speaker 1: just dumping stuff into the bag and like leaving. Yeah,
- 49:03Speaker 1: for me, I more or less went shopping for myself,
- 49:06Speaker 1: but the gifts are going to win. Yes. So just
- 49:10Speaker 1: to give you a little hint, um, for Joakim, he's
- 49:13Speaker 1: covering more of things from like the Marvel universe, from
- 49:15Speaker 1: Toy Story and things like that, right? For me, I'm
- 49:18Speaker 1: covering more of the Disney.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Disney classic stuff and also Duffy and Friends, my new
- 49:23Speaker 1: favorite friends. Sonia actually bought for herself a Stella Lou doll. No, no, no, no, no,
- 49:28Speaker 1: that's in the bundle. But what's your daughter? Dy Duffy,
- 49:31Speaker 1: she's hugging it at night. Yes, every night. I have
- 49:33Speaker 1: a picture of you hugging it, by the way, while
- 49:35Speaker 1: we're doing our OB outside. Oh, it's my, um, it's
- 49:37Speaker 1: my support stuff toy. Oh, there we go, OK.
