- 0:00Speaker 1: Something special is brewing. Fourteen in a row. Good morning
- 0:03Speaker 1: bearer and hated Young from the mighty Nickers.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Good how are you, young mate? Congratulations, as Smiley said,
- 0:09Speaker 2: fourteen straight wins. No other West does the sporting team
- 0:13Speaker 2: has ever done that. I played him when we won
- 0:16Speaker 2: twelve times. Now, don't give me the one game at
- 0:19Speaker 2: a time thing. You're allowed to enjoy this one. How
- 0:21Speaker 2: are you feeling really.
- 0:23Speaker 3: Oh, there's certainly a good feeling amongst the group. Yeah. Yeah,
- 0:27Speaker 3: it is hard in the moment because we certainly haven't
- 0:30Speaker 3: achieved anything well what we want to achieve really, but
- 0:33Speaker 3: it is It's great for our fans. I'm sure everyone's
- 0:36Speaker 3: really enjoying it. We're enjoying it as players. And jay
- 0:39Speaker 3: I did speak about it after the game. He did say, like,
- 0:41Speaker 3: you got to in this moment, we have to enjoy
- 0:43Speaker 3: it and then you know, during the week that's when
- 0:45Speaker 3: we can turn our attention to the next game. But
- 0:48Speaker 3: certainly after the game we all sort of sat around
- 0:50Speaker 3: in a circle and enjoyed the win with everyone, and yeah,
- 0:53Speaker 3: you have to enjoy these moments when you are playing
- 0:56Speaker 3: well and the team's going well and the fans are
- 0:59Speaker 3: enjoying it. Our families are enjoying it, So yeah, you've
- 1:02Speaker 3: got to enjoy those moments.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I'll tell you what could sneak up on you is
- 1:06Speaker 2: you know, you go from cheez, we're playing well to geez,
- 1:10Speaker 2: we could be the best team in the comp You
- 1:12Speaker 2: know this could be a big year.
- 1:13Speaker 1: You start.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You're trying not to think like that, don't you, But
- 1:16Speaker 2: it's very hard. You're just human.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I don't think that's a bad thing. I
- 1:20Speaker 3: think that's good to have belief. And I think the
- 1:23Speaker 3: way we're playing at the moment, we certainly know that
- 1:25Speaker 3: if we play our way, we are better than any
- 1:28Speaker 3: other team in the competition. It's just about doing that consistently,
- 1:31Speaker 3: which we've been doing well. But we can't drop the
- 1:33Speaker 3: ball on that. We've got to keep running up and
- 1:36Speaker 3: keep playing our way because we do well. The evidence
- 1:39Speaker 3: shows that when we play our way for long periods
- 1:41Speaker 3: of time that no other team can go with us.
- 1:43Speaker 3: So we've got to keep reinforcing that and keep doing
- 1:46Speaker 3: each week.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Now, what about singing the song for the fourteenth time
- 1:49Speaker 2: in a row. I reckon, because I've been in this situation.
- 1:54Speaker 2: There is a chance because you don't mail it in
- 1:56Speaker 2: but there is a chance that you know, it's not
- 2:00Speaker 2: just becomes like routine. I thought you guys were a
- 2:02Speaker 2: bit low key.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it does get a bit like that. I think
- 2:06Speaker 3: one thing we have done well is we we always
- 2:08Speaker 3: get someone to start the song and depending on who's
- 2:11Speaker 3: had a good game or like on the weekend, Sean
- 2:13Speaker 3: Darcy return, So we got Sean to start the song
- 2:16Speaker 3: and sometimes I can give us a little bit of
- 2:18Speaker 3: a we get up and about about that. Sean Darcy, Yeah,
- 2:22Speaker 3: he started off the song and it was quite funny
- 2:24Speaker 3: because he obviously hasn't sung the song in a while,
- 2:26Speaker 3: so he started off and I think he missed the
- 2:28Speaker 3: first note and then we had so everyone changed it
- 2:32Speaker 3: up a bit, haven't we've changed it? We've seen the
- 2:34Speaker 3: first verse and Sean, I don't think he's sung it yet,
- 2:37Speaker 3: oh not for a while, so he kind of missed
- 2:40Speaker 3: the first line or didn't say that, so we all
- 2:42Speaker 3: had a bit of a laugh. It is funny, but yeah,
- 2:45Speaker 3: I mean he's.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Popular, isn't he popular? Darcy winning kicked the goal, mate.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I didn't realize how popular it was. I was sawhim
- 2:50Speaker 2: at the hospital yesterday actually with any Brashaw and calyps
- 2:53Speaker 2: wrong visiting the you know, the sick kids, and he
- 2:56Speaker 2: was teaching the kids to dance.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Mate, it's just seen that.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Anyone else but Sean Shawn's dance man is probably not
- 3:06Speaker 3: the ones to copy. But it's good. It's good that
- 3:09Speaker 3: they go down to the Starlight and see those kids. Mate,
- 3:14Speaker 3: he's so committed. Yeah, yeah, it is great, but no,
- 3:16Speaker 3: we do love Sean. He's a valued member of our
- 3:19Speaker 3: team and has been hard see him miss a lot
- 3:21Speaker 3: of footy and particularly this year, and it's great to
- 3:25Speaker 3: see him back.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yeah, your team song. It's like hearing Mariah Carey at
- 3:28Speaker 2: Christmas now a bit saying that many times. Hey man,
- 3:34Speaker 2: we're running out of times, so I just do some
- 3:36Speaker 2: quick questions here. Who's the most underrated footballer at Free
- 3:40Speaker 2: ad You reckon.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Would be?
- 3:44Speaker 3: Yeah, well Carl Warner I've spoken about, but I feel
- 3:46Speaker 3: like he's he's getting gradition he deserves.
- 3:50Speaker 1: He's one of the best when he.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Was Heath Chapman. I think it's very underrated. He's won
- 3:55Speaker 3: He's one of our Trademark Award three times this year,
- 3:57Speaker 3: which is the most I think. So he's highly valued
- 4:01Speaker 3: within the four Walls and I thought he was terrific
- 4:03Speaker 3: on the weekend, but yeah, I don't know. It could
- 4:06Speaker 3: be a number of players. I feel like we've just
- 4:08Speaker 3: got so many contributors, which is great.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's amazing.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Which teammate has the worst music taste?
- 4:15Speaker 3: It be Alex Pearce.
- 4:17Speaker 1: It's really alternative.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Yeah, it's very alternate. And whenever he gets on the
- 4:22Speaker 3: ox cord in the gym, everyone for planes and tails
- 4:24Speaker 3: him to turn it off.
- 4:27Speaker 1: A couple more before we go. Best kick at the
- 4:29Speaker 1: club is that you? Yeah?
- 4:31Speaker 3: Me or Toby Wan Actually he's another left footer really
- 4:34Speaker 3: so yeah, he's coming from my throne, which is great. Wow,
- 4:37Speaker 3: So I've been I've been loving watching him play. He's
- 4:39Speaker 3: a silky left footer. Best trainer, oh, best trainer Patty
- 4:43Speaker 3: Voss really.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Yeah, best hands, fastest over forty.
- 4:49Speaker 3: It's actually right Luke who you might not know, but
- 4:51Speaker 3: he's a young feller. He's rapid. But Michael Frederick's another
- 4:54Speaker 3: one who's very quick.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Funniest teammates, yeah, worst dresser Alex pears And you know
- 5:02Speaker 2: when you hit some of those kicks of yours through
- 5:04Speaker 2: the middle, do you ever go who this is going
- 5:07Speaker 2: to have to be good?
- 5:07Speaker 1: Or who I'm not doing this one. Do you just bang?
- 5:10Speaker 1: You pull the trigger?
- 5:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I usually pull the trigger and then it's a
- 5:13Speaker 3: sense of relief sometimes when it comes off, because.
- 5:15Speaker 1: It just clears the opposition.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Literally sometimes it's very close, so make a bit of relief.
- 5:20Speaker 3: You're going so well, brother.
- 5:21Speaker 2: So now you're in Canberra, I think it's I looked
- 5:23Speaker 2: at the forecast four degrees minimum maximum of eleven, so
- 5:27Speaker 2: about what it is outside.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Now pack your bernie, brother.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it's going to be fresh, but we're looking forward
- 5:31Speaker 3: to it.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Good Man,
