  Thanks,

  Marvin.
• 1:20
  Appreciate

  it.
• 1:21
  Yeah.
• 1:21
  Looking

  forward
• 1:21
  to
• 1:21
  our

  tonight.

  And
• 1:23
  you
• 1:23
  know,
• 1:23
  we
• 1:23

  memory.
• 1:29
  Sweet.
• 1:29
  Yeah,
• 1:29
  I've
• 1:30
  got,
• 1:30
  I've
• 1:30
  got
• 1:31
  two
• 1:31
  I'm
• 1:31
  gonna
• 1:31
  share
• 1:32
  with
• 1:32
  you.
• 1:32
  Like,
• 1:33
  kind
• 1:33
  of
• 1:33
  when
• 1:33
  I
• 1:34
  was
• 1:34
  just
• 1:34
  starting
• 1:34
  out
• 1:34
  fishing,
• 1:35
  we.
• 1:36
  We
• 1:36
  had
• 1:36
  a
• 1:36
  little
• 1:37
  backyard
• 1:37
  pond
• 1:38
  where
• 1:38
  I
• 1:38
  grew
• 1:38
  up
• 1:39
  in
• 1:39
  Hudson,
• 1:39
  Ohio,
• 1:40
  and
• 1:40
  there
• 1:40
  was
• 1:40
  plenty
• 1:40
  of
• 1:41
  bass
• 1:41
  and
• 1:41
  bluegill
• 1:42
  and
• 1:42
  stuff
• 1:42
  like
• 1:42
  that.
• 1:42
  So
• 1:43
  I,
• 1:43
  that's
• 1:43
  kind
• 1:43
  of
• 1:44
  what
• 1:44
  gave
• 1:44
  me
• 1:44
  the
• 1:44
  bug
• 1:45
  for
• 1:45
  fishing.
• 1:45
  And
• 1:46
  then
• 1:46
  one
• 1:47
  super
• 1:47
  important
• 1:48
  one
• 1:48
  for
• 1:48
  me
• 1:49
  is
• 1:50
  my
• 1:51
  first
• 1:51
  time
• 1:51
  steelhead
• 1:51
  fishing
• 1:52
  with
• 1:52
  Tim
• 1:52
  Hess
• 1:53
  on,
• 1:53
  on
• 1:53
  Elk
• 1:53
  Creek.
• 1:54
  I
• 1:54
  was
• 1:54
  11
• 1:55
  years
• 1:55
  old
• 1:55
  and
• 1:56
  caught
• 1:56
  my
• 1:56
  first
• 1:56
  ever
• 1:57
  steelhead
• 1:57
  on
• 1:57
  a.
• 1:57
  On
• 1:58
  a
• 1:58
  swung
• 1:58
  fly.
• 1:59
  And
• 1:59
  that.
• 2:00
  That
• 2:00
  kind
• 2:00
  of
• 2:01
  ruined
• 2:01
  me
• 2:02
  from,
• 2:02
  from
• 2:02
  there
• 2:03
  on
• 2:03
  out.
• 2:03
  Yeah,
• 2:04
  it's
• 2:04
  kind
• 2:04
  of
• 2:04
  like
• 2:04
  spring
• 2:05
  turkey
• 2:05
  hunting,
• 2:05
  right?
• 2:07
  Yeah.
• 2:08
  So
• 2:08
  it
• 2:08
  sounds
• 2:08
  like
• 2:08
  you
• 2:08
  kind
• 2:09
  of
• 2:09
  were,
• 2:09
  you
• 2:09
  know,
• 2:09
  you
• 2:10
  weren't
• 2:10
  like,
• 2:10
  you
• 2:10
  know,
• 2:11
  gear,
• 2:11
  bait
• 2:11
  and
• 2:11
  then
• 2:11
  went
• 2:12
  to
• 2:12
  fly
• 2:12
  fishing.
• 2:12
  Sounds
• 2:13
  like
• 2:13
  the
• 2:13
  fly
• 2:13
  fishing
• 2:13
  thing
• 2:14
  was
• 2:14
  pretty
• 2:14
  early
• 2:14
  on
• 2:14
  in
• 2:14
  your
• 2:15
  experience.
• 2:16
  Yeah,
• 2:17
  like,
• 2:17
  kind
• 2:17
  of
• 2:17
  when
• 2:17
  I
• 2:18
  started,
• 2:18
  it
• 2:18
  was,
• 2:18
  you
• 2:18
  know,
• 2:19
  just
• 2:19
  simple
• 2:19
  stuff,
• 2:20
  little
• 2:20
  rooster
• 2:20
  tails
• 2:21
  and
• 2:21
  bobbers
• 2:22
  and
• 2:22
  worms
• 2:23
  and
• 2:23
  whatnot.
• 2:23
  And
• 2:23
  then,
• 2:23
  you
• 2:24
  know,
• 2:24
  I
• 2:24
  found
• 2:24
  fly
• 2:25
  fishing
• 2:25
  pretty
• 2:25
  young,
• 2:27
  very,
• 2:27
  very
• 2:28
  neat.
• 2:28
  So
• 2:28
  who
• 2:28
  are
• 2:28
  some
• 2:28
  of
• 2:29
  the
• 2:29
  folks
• 2:29
  that
• 2:29
  have
• 2:29
  kind
• 2:29
  of,
• 2:30
  kind
• 2:30
  of
• 2:30
  mentored
• 2:30
  you.
• 2:30
  Because
• 2:31
  I
• 2:31
  was
• 2:31
  blown
• 2:31
  away
• 2:31
  when
• 2:32
  we
• 2:32
  were
• 2:32
  fishing
• 2:32
  together
• 2:33
  with
• 2:33
  Dustin
• 2:34
  a
• 2:34
  few
• 2:34
  months
• 2:34
  ago
• 2:34
  at
• 2:35
  how
• 2:35
  young
• 2:35
  you
• 2:35
  are.
• 2:35
  You
• 2:35
  know,
• 2:36
  who
• 2:36
  are
• 2:36
  some
• 2:36
  of
• 2:36
  the
• 2:36
  folks
• 2:36
  that
• 2:36
  have
• 2:36
  kind
• 2:37
  of
• 2:37
  mentored
• 2:37
  you
• 2:37
  on
• 2:37
  your
• 2:37
  fly
• 2:38
  fishing
• 2:38
  journey?
• 2:38
  What
• 2:38
  have
• 2:38
  they
• 2:39
  taught
• 2:39
  you?
• 2:39
  Yeah,
• 2:40
  so
• 2:40
  I've.
• 2:40
  I've
• 2:41
  got
• 2:41
  quite
• 2:41
  a
• 2:41
  few
• 2:41
  people
• 2:42
  that
• 2:42
  have
• 2:43
  kind
• 2:43
  of
• 2:43
  mentored
• 2:44
  me
• 2:44
  and
• 2:44
  I've
• 2:45
  taken
• 2:45
  lots
• 2:45
  of
• 2:45
  advice
• 2:46
  from
• 2:47
  over
• 2:47
  the
• 2:48
  years
• 2:48
  and,
• 2:48
  and
• 2:48
  still
• 2:49
  do.
• 2:50
  Greg
• 2:51
  Senyo
• 2:51
  kind
• 2:52
  of
• 2:52
  helped
• 2:52
  me
• 2:52
  a
• 2:52
  good
• 2:53
  bit
• 2:53
  when
• 2:53
  I
• 2:53
  was
• 2:53
  younger.
• 2:54
  Kind
• 2:54
  of
• 2:54
  kind
• 2:54
  of
• 2:54
  getting
• 2:55
  into
• 2:55
  this
• 2:55
  whole
• 2:55

• 2:58
  kind
• 2:58
  of
• 2:58
  the
• 2:58
  whole
• 2:58

  lot
• 3:15
  of

  that

  really

• 3:18
  me

• 3:34
  now
• 3:34
  work
• 3:34
  for
• 3:34
  Mad
• 3:35
  River
• 3:35
  Outfitters.
• 3:36
  Brian
• 3:36
  Flechsig
• 3:37
  has
• 3:37
  been
• 3:38
  super,
• 3:38
  super
• 3:39
  instrumental
• 3:40
  in
• 3:40
  the
• 3:40
  last
• 3:41
  few
• 3:41
  years
• 3:41
  as
• 3:41
  far
• 3:42
  as
• 3:42
  the
• 3:42
  business
• 3:43
  side
• 3:43
  of
• 3:43
  things
• 3:44
  and
• 3:44
  really
• 3:44
  making
• 3:45
  this
• 3:45
  a
• 3:45
  full
• 3:45
  time
• 3:46
  career.
• 3:47
  And
• 3:47
  then
• 3:47
  the
• 3:48
  Johnsons,
• 3:48
  of
• 3:48
  course,
• 3:48
  who
• 3:49
  I
• 3:49
  work
• 3:49
  for
• 3:49
  up
• 3:50
  in
• 3:50
  Alaska
• 3:51
  at
• 3:51
  Knack
• 3:51
  Neck
• 3:51
  River
• 3:52
  Camp.
• 3:52
  They've
• 3:53
  been
• 3:53
  a
• 3:53
  huge
• 3:53
  help
• 3:54
  for
• 3:55
  a
• 3:55
  long,
• 3:55
  long
• 3:56
  time
• 3:56
  for
• 3:56
  me
• 3:56
  now.
• 3:58
  Very,
• 3:58
  very
• 3:58
  neat.
• 3:59
  And
• 3:59
  so,
• 3:59
  you
• 3:59
  know,
• 3:59
  you
• 3:59
  catch
• 4:00
  that
• 4:00
  first
• 4:00
  steelhead
• 4:01
  with
• 4:01
  Tim
• 4:01
  and
• 4:01
  you
• 4:01
  kind
• 4:02
  of
• 4:02
  got
• 4:02
  the
• 4:02
  bug,
• 4:02
  you
• 4:02
  know.
• 4:03
  When
• 4:03
  did
• 4:03
  the
• 4:04
  light
• 4:04
  bulb
• 4:04
  go
• 4:04
  off
• 4:04
  that
• 4:04
  you
• 4:05
  wanted
• 4:05
  to
• 4:05
  be
• 4:05
  a
• 4:05
  guide?
• 4:08
  Probably
• 4:08
  as
• 4:08
  soon
• 4:08
  as
• 4:08
  we
• 4:09
  released
• 4:09
  that
• 4:09
  fish.
• 4:11
  It
• 4:11
  felt
• 4:11
  like
• 4:11
  something
• 4:12
  that
• 4:12
  I
• 4:12
  knew
• 4:13
  I
• 4:13
  wanted
• 4:13
  to
• 4:14
  pursue
• 4:14
  as
• 4:15
  a
• 4:15
  career.
• 4:15
  You
• 4:15
  know,
• 4:15
  I
• 4:16
  was
• 4:16
  still
• 4:16
  around
• 4:16
  11,
• 4:17
  so
• 4:17
  I
• 4:18
  had,
• 4:19
  I
• 4:19
  had
• 4:19
  lots
• 4:19
  of
• 4:20
  different
• 4:21
  ideas
• 4:21
  in
• 4:22
  my
• 4:22
  head
• 4:22
  as
• 4:22
  you
• 4:23
  know,
• 4:23
  for
• 4:23
  what
• 4:23
  I
• 4:23
  wanted
• 4:24
  to
• 4:24
  do
• 4:25
  as
• 4:25
  a
• 4:25
  career.
• 4:27
  But
• 4:27
  that
• 4:28
  was
• 4:28
  definitely
• 4:29
  top
• 4:29
  on
• 4:29
  my
• 4:29
  list
• 4:31
  at
• 4:31
  that
• 4:31
  time.
• 4:32
  And
• 4:32
  you
• 4:32
  know,
• 4:33
  going
• 4:33
  to
• 4:33
  Alaska
• 4:34
  at
• 4:34
  a
• 4:34
  young
• 4:34
  age
• 4:34
  too,
• 4:35
  you
• 4:35
  know,
• 4:35
  I've
• 4:35
  been
• 4:35
  going
• 4:36
  up
• 4:36
  there
• 4:36
  Since
• 4:36
  I
• 4:36
  was
• 4:37
  16,
• 4:38
  just
• 4:38
  about
• 4:39
  every
• 4:39
  year.
• 4:39
  And
• 4:39
  that
• 4:40
  kind
• 4:40
  of
• 4:41
  seeing
• 4:41
  how
• 4:42
  the
• 4:42
  guide
• 4:43
  game
• 4:43
  works,
• 4:44
  you
• 4:44
  know,
• 4:44
  on
• 4:45
  a
• 4:45
  more
• 4:45
  full
• 4:45
  time
• 4:46
  schedule
• 4:46
  out
• 4:46
  there
• 4:47
  was.
• 4:47
  Was
• 4:47
  super
• 4:48
  cool
• 4:48
  at
• 4:49
  a
• 4:49
  young
• 4:49
  age
• 4:49
  to
• 4:49
  be
• 4:50
  able
• 4:50
  to
• 4:50
  see
• 4:50
  that
• 4:50
  and,
• 4:51
  and
• 4:51
  definitely
• 4:52
  kind
• 4:52
  of
• 4:52
  solidified,
• 4:54
  you
• 4:54
  know,
• 4:54
  that
• 4:55
  I
• 4:55
  wanted
• 4:55
  to
• 4:55
  do
• 4:55
  this
• 4:56
  as
• 4:56
  a
• 4:56
  full
• 4:56
  time
• 4:56
  career.
• 4:57
  Yeah,
• 4:58
  Very,
• 4:58
  very
• 4:58
  cool.
• 4:58
  So
• 4:58
  obviously
• 4:59
  pretty
• 4:59
  hard
• 4:59
  to
• 5:00
  guide
• 5:00
  if
• 5:00
  you're
• 5:00
  on
• 5:00
  a
• 5:01
  bicycle
• 5:01
  and
• 5:01
  you're
• 5:01
  11
• 5:01
  years
• 5:02
  old,
• 5:02
  right?
• 5:03
  Correct,
• 5:03
  correct.
• 5:04
  So,
• 5:05
  you
• 5:05
  know,
• 5:05
  tell
• 5:05
  me
• 5:05
  a
• 5:05
  little
• 5:06
  Bit
• 5:06
  more.
• 5:06
  And
• 5:06
  obviously
• 5:07
  you
• 5:07
  broke
• 5:07
  in
• 5:07
  really
• 5:07
  young.
• 5:08
  If
• 5:08
  you
• 5:08
  were
• 5:08
  guiding
• 5:08
  when
• 5:08
  you
• 5:09
  were
• 5:09
  16.
• 5:09
  Tell
• 5:09
  me
• 5:09
  a
• 5:09
  little
• 5:09
  bit
• 5:10
  about
• 5:10
  kind
• 5:10
  of
• 5:10
  how
• 5:10
  you,
• 5:11
  you
• 5:11
  know,
• 5:11
  broke
• 5:11
  into
• 5:12
  the
• 5:12
  guide
• 5:12
  game
• 5:12
  at
• 5:12
  home
• 5:13
  and
• 5:13
  in
• 5:13
  Alaska.
• 5:15
  Yeah,
• 5:15
  so
• 5:16
  through
• 5:17
  that
• 5:17
  seal
• 5:17
  at
• 5:17
  Alley
• 5:18
  Outfitters
• 5:18
  crew
• 5:19
  mostly
• 5:19
  Greg
• 5:20
  Senyo,
• 5:20
  he
• 5:20
  knew
• 5:21
  the
• 5:21
  Johnsons,
• 5:21
  Jim
• 5:22
  Johnson,
• 5:22
  his
• 5:22
  wife
• 5:23
  Phyllis.
• 5:23
  Um,
• 5:24
  they've
• 5:24
  been
• 5:24
  bringing
• 5:25
  groups
• 5:25
  up
• 5:25
  there
• 5:26
  for
• 5:26
  a
• 5:27
  number
• 5:27
  of
• 5:27
  years
• 5:29
  before
• 5:29
  I
• 5:29
  went
• 5:29
  up
• 5:30
  there.
• 5:30
  I've
• 5:31
  been
• 5:31
  hosting
• 5:31
  groups
• 5:31
  up
• 5:32
  there
• 5:32
  in
• 5:32
  the
• 5:32
  fall,
• 5:32
  I
• 5:32
  think
• 5:32
  around
• 5:33
  September.
• 5:33
  So
• 5:34
  they
• 5:34
  got
• 5:34
  me
• 5:34
  a
• 5:34
  gig
• 5:34
  up
• 5:35
  there
• 5:35
  when
• 5:35
  I
• 5:35
  was
• 5:35
  16.
• 5:36
  Just
• 5:36
  kind
• 5:36
  of
• 5:36
  doing
• 5:36
  random
• 5:37
  camp
• 5:37
  work,
• 5:37
  you
• 5:38
  know,
• 5:38
  packing
• 5:39
  salmon,
• 5:39
  cleaning
• 5:40
  salmon
• 5:40
  gas
• 5:41
  and
• 5:41
  boats.
• 5:41
  Basically
• 5:42
  anything
• 5:42
  that
• 5:43
  was
• 5:44
  needing
• 5:44
  to
• 5:45
  get
• 5:45
  done.
• 5:45
  I
• 5:46
  was,
• 5:46
  I
• 5:46
  was
• 5:46
  a
• 5:47
  part
• 5:47
  of
• 5:47
  that
• 5:47
  program.
• 5:49
  And
• 5:49
  then
• 5:49
  just
• 5:49
  kind
• 5:50
  of
• 5:50
  getting
• 5:50
  to
• 5:50
  know
• 5:51
  a
• 5:52
  lot
• 5:52
  of
• 5:52
  the,
• 5:52
  a
• 5:53
  lot
• 5:53
  of
• 5:53
  top
• 5:53
  industry
• 5:54
  folks
• 5:54
  in
• 5:54
  our
• 5:55
  area
• 5:55
  at
• 5:55
  a
• 5:55
  young
• 5:55
  age.
• 5:56
  Definitely
• 5:56
  helped
• 5:56
  me
• 5:57
  kind
• 5:57
  of
• 5:57
  pursue
• 5:58
  this
• 5:58
  career
• 5:58
  when
• 5:59
  I
• 5:59
  was
• 5:59
  younger.
• 6:00
  And
• 6:01
  also
• 6:01
  I,
• 6:02
  you
• 6:02
  know,
• 6:02
  I
• 6:02
  was
• 6:02
  living
• 6:03
  at
• 6:03
  home,
• 6:03
  of
• 6:04
  course,
• 6:04
  during,
• 6:04
  during
• 6:05
  that
• 6:05
  time,
• 6:05
  so
• 6:05
  I
• 6:05
  didn't
• 6:06
  have
• 6:06
  many
• 6:06
  bills
• 6:07
  and
• 6:07
  things
• 6:07
  to
• 6:08
  pay
• 6:08
  for.
• 6:08
  So
• 6:09
  I
• 6:09
  had
• 6:09
  a
• 6:09
  lot
• 6:09
  of,
• 6:10
  a
• 6:10
  lot
• 6:10
  of
• 6:10
  freedom
• 6:10
  to
• 6:11
  kind
• 6:11
  of
• 6:11
  learn
• 6:11
  our
• 6:12
  fisheries
• 6:12
  and
• 6:12
  kind
• 6:13
  of
• 6:13
  learn
• 6:13
  our
• 6:13
  programs
• 6:14
  around
• 6:14
  here
• 6:14
  and
• 6:15
  that
• 6:15
  kind
• 6:15
  of
• 6:15
  stuff,
• 6:16
  which,
• 6:16
  which
• 6:17
  definitely
• 6:17
  helped.
• 6:17
  You
• 6:17
  know,
• 6:17
  I,
• 6:18
  I
• 6:18
  can
• 6:18
  think
• 6:18
  about
• 6:19
  it.
• 6:19
  If
• 6:19
  I
• 6:19
  got
• 6:19
  into
• 6:20
  it
• 6:20
  now
• 6:21
  with
• 6:21
  having
• 6:22
  a
• 6:22
  lot
• 6:22
  of
• 6:22
  bills
• 6:22
  to
• 6:23
  pay
• 6:23
  and
• 6:23
  whatnot,
• 6:23
  it
• 6:24
  definitely
• 6:24
  wouldn't
• 6:24
  be
• 6:25
  as
• 6:25
  easy
• 6:26
  to
• 6:26
  break
• 6:26
  into
• 6:27
  things
• 6:27
  as
• 6:27
  it
• 6:28
  was
• 6:28
  at
• 6:28
  a
• 6:29
  younger
• 6:29
  age.
• 6:30
  Got
• 6:30
  it.
• 6:30
  And
• 6:30
  so
• 6:31
  kind
• 6:31
  of,
• 6:31
  how
• 6:31
  did
• 6:31
  you
• 6:31
  learn
• 6:31
  things
• 6:32
  in
• 6:32
  Ohio?
• 6:32
  Were
• 6:32
  you
• 6:33
  like,
• 6:33
  you
• 6:33
  know,
• 6:33
  shadowing
• 6:34
  like
• 6:34
  Senyo
• 6:34
  and
• 6:34
  Patrick
• 6:35
  and
• 6:35
  those
• 6:35
  guys
• 6:35
  at
• 6:35
  SAO
• 6:36
  or
• 6:36
  kind
• 6:36
  of,
• 6:37
  you
• 6:37
  know,
• 6:37
  kind
• 6:37
  of,
• 6:37
  how
• 6:37
  did
• 6:38
  you
• 6:38
  kind
• 6:38
  of
• 6:38
  figure
• 6:38
  out
• 6:38
  all
• 6:38
  that
• 6:39
  steelhead
• 6:39
  and
• 6:39
  inland
• 6:40
  fishery
• 6:40
  water?
• 6:41
  Yeah,
• 6:41
  yeah,
• 6:42
  definitely.
• 6:42
  Definitely
• 6:43
  shadowing
• 6:43
  those
• 6:43
  guys.
• 6:44
  I
• 6:44
  shadow
• 6:45
  Nate
• 6:45
  Miller
• 6:45
  and
• 6:45
  Tim
• 6:46
  Hess
• 6:46
  a
• 6:46
  good
• 6:46
  bit
• 6:47
  as
• 6:47
  well.
• 6:48
  And
• 6:48
  then
• 6:49
  as
• 6:49
  far
• 6:49
  as
• 6:49
  the
• 6:49
  warm
• 6:50
  water
• 6:50
  stuff
• 6:50
  around
• 6:50
  here,
• 6:52
  when
• 6:52
  my
• 6:53
  good
• 6:53
  buddy
• 6:53
  Dan
• 6:53
  Bennett,
• 6:54
  who's
• 6:54
  now
• 6:54
  in
• 6:54
  Florida,
• 6:56
  when
• 6:56
  he
• 6:56
  was
• 6:57
  still
• 6:57
  here
• 6:57
  working
• 6:57
  with
• 6:58
  me
• 6:58
  at
• 6:58
  sao,
• 7:00
  he
• 7:01
  was
• 7:01
  still
• 7:01
  living
• 7:01
  at
• 7:02
  home,
• 7:02
  you
• 7:02
  know,
• 7:02
  didn't
• 7:03
  have
• 7:03
  many
• 7:03
  bills
• 7:03
  to
• 7:03
  pay
• 7:04
  for
• 7:04
  things
• 7:04
  like
• 7:04
  that.
• 7:05
  And
• 7:05
  you
• 7:05
  know,
• 7:05
  there
• 7:05
  was,
• 7:06
  there
• 7:06
  was
• 7:06
  quite
• 7:06
  a
• 7:06
  few
• 7:07
  summers
• 7:07
  where,
• 7:08
  I
• 7:08
  mean,
• 7:08
  we
• 7:08
  were,
• 7:09
  we
• 7:09
  were
• 7:09
  spending
• 7:10
  five
• 7:10
  or
• 7:10
  six
• 7:10
  days
• 7:11
  a
• 7:11
  week
• 7:11
  for.
• 7:12
  It
• 7:12
  felt
• 7:12
  like
• 7:12
  a
• 7:13
  couple
• 7:13
  months,
• 7:13
  you
• 7:13
  know,
• 7:13
  learning
• 7:14
  our
• 7:14
  warm
• 7:14
  water
• 7:15
  programs
• 7:15
  from
• 7:15
  our
• 7:16
  smallmouth
• 7:16
  to
• 7:17
  our
• 7:17
  pike,
• 7:17
  you
• 7:18
  know,
• 7:18
  whether
• 7:18
  it
• 7:18
  was
• 7:18
  our
• 7:19
  lake
• 7:19
  run
• 7:19
  fisheries
• 7:20
  that
• 7:20
  connect
• 7:20
  to
• 7:21
  Lake
• 7:21
  Erie
• 7:21
  or
• 7:22
  inland
• 7:22
  fisheries
• 7:23
  and
• 7:23
  things
• 7:23
  like
• 7:23
  that,
• 7:25
  you
• 7:25
  know.
• 7:26
  So,
• 7:26
  yeah,
• 7:27
  there,
• 7:27
  there
• 7:27
  was
• 7:27
  a
• 7:27
  lot
• 7:28
  of
• 7:28
  people
• 7:28
  that,
• 7:28
  that
• 7:28
  helped
• 7:29
  me
• 7:30
  in,
• 7:30
  in
• 7:30
  that,
• 7:31
  in
• 7:31
  that
• 7:31
  early
• 7:31
  stage.
• 7:32
  Yeah.
• 7:33
  Interesting.
• 7:33
  And
• 7:33
  so
• 7:33
  with
• 7:34
  the
• 7:34
  SAO
• 7:34
  guys,
• 7:35
  were
• 7:35
  you
• 7:35
  like
• 7:35
  following
• 7:36
  them
• 7:36
  on
• 7:36
  guide
• 7:36
  trips
• 7:37
  or
• 7:37
  were
• 7:37
  you
• 7:37
  kind
• 7:37
  of
• 7:38
  out
• 7:38
  fun
• 7:38
  fishing
• 7:39
  and
• 7:39
  with
• 7:40
  them
• 7:40
  when
• 7:40
  they
• 7:40
  were
• 7:40
  looking
• 7:40
  at
• 7:40
  water?
• 7:42
  Kind
• 7:43
  of
• 7:43
  a
• 7:43
  little
• 7:43
  bit
• 7:43
  of
• 7:43
  both.
• 7:44
  I
• 7:45
  would
• 7:45
  shadow
• 7:46
  those
• 7:46
  folks
• 7:47
  on
• 7:47
  some
• 7:47
  guided
• 7:48
  trips
• 7:49
  and
• 7:49
  then
• 7:50
  I'd
• 7:50
  also
• 7:51
  get
• 7:51
  to
• 7:51
  go
• 7:51
  out
• 7:51
  and
• 7:51
  fun
• 7:52
  fish
• 7:52
  with
• 7:52
  them
• 7:52
  and
• 7:53
  kind
• 7:53
  of
• 7:53
  learn
• 7:53
  some
• 7:53
  of
• 7:53
  the
• 7:54
  programs,
• 7:54
  learn
• 7:54
  how
• 7:55
  they
• 7:55
  would
• 7:56
  rig
• 7:56
  certain
• 7:56
  things
• 7:57
  and
• 7:57
  whatnot.
• 7:58
  And,
• 7:59
  yeah,
• 7:59
  that
• 8:00
  definitely
• 8:00
  helped
• 8:00
  a
• 8:00
  ton.
• 8:01
  Yeah.
• 8:01
  So
• 8:02
  did
• 8:02
  you
• 8:02
  start
• 8:02
  guiding
• 8:03
  in
• 8:03
  Alaska
• 8:03
  first,
• 8:04
  or
• 8:04
  were
• 8:04
  you
• 8:04
  guiding
• 8:04
  at
• 8:04
  SAO
• 8:05
  first?
• 8:06
  Um,
• 8:07
  I
• 8:07
  would
• 8:07
  say
• 8:08
  I.
• 8:08
  I
• 8:08
  started
• 8:09
  guiding
• 8:09
  in
• 8:10
  Alaska.
• 8:10
  I
• 8:10
  got
• 8:11
  to.
• 8:11
  I
• 8:11
  got
• 8:12
  to
• 8:12
  take
• 8:12
  only
• 8:12
  a
• 8:12
  couple
• 8:13
  trips
• 8:13
  up
• 8:13
  there
• 8:14
  when
• 8:15
  I
• 8:15
  was
• 8:15
  16.
• 8:15
  I.
• 8:16
  I
• 8:16
  got
• 8:16
  to
• 8:16
  also
• 8:17
  kind
• 8:17
  of
• 8:17
  shadow
• 8:18
  some
• 8:18
  of
• 8:18
  the
• 8:18
  guides
• 8:18
  that
• 8:18
  have
• 8:18
  been
• 8:19
  working
• 8:19
  up
• 8:19
  there
• 8:21
  for
• 8:21
  a
• 8:21
  while.
• 8:21
  Um,
• 8:22
  but
• 8:22
  I,
• 8:22
  I
• 8:22
  really
• 8:23
  kind
• 8:23
  of
• 8:23
  started
• 8:24
  up
• 8:25
  there
• 8:25
  and
• 8:25
  back
• 8:26
  here
• 8:26
  when
• 8:26
  I
• 8:26
  was
• 8:26
  like
• 8:26
  17,
• 8:27
  18
• 8:28
  years
• 8:28
  old,
• 8:29
  and
• 8:30
  then
• 8:30
  really,
• 8:30
  really
• 8:30
  got
• 8:31
  started
• 8:32
  with
• 8:32
  the
• 8:32
  busyness
• 8:33
  of
• 8:33
  it
• 8:33
  around
• 8:33
  that,
• 8:33
  like
• 8:34
  18,
• 8:34
  19.
• 8:35
  Got
• 8:35
  it.
• 8:36
  Anybody
• 8:36
  kind
• 8:36
  of
• 8:37
  in.
• 8:37
  In
• 8:37
  Alaska
• 8:38
  in
• 8:38
  particular
• 8:38
  was
• 8:39
  really
• 8:39
  kind
• 8:39
  of
• 8:39
  influential
• 8:40
  in
• 8:40
  your
• 8:40
  guide
• 8:40
  development?
• 8:44
  I
• 8:44
  wouldn't
• 8:44
  say
• 8:45
  anyone
• 8:45
  in
• 8:45
  particular.
• 8:46
  What
• 8:47
  I
• 8:47
  love
• 8:47
  about
• 8:47
  that
• 8:48
  crew
• 8:48
  up
• 8:48
  there
• 8:48
  is
• 8:49
  we
• 8:49
  all
• 8:49
  love
• 8:50
  to
• 8:50
  bounce
• 8:50
  ideas
• 8:51
  off
• 8:51
  of
• 8:51
  each
• 8:51
  other,
• 8:52
  and
• 8:54
  we
• 8:55
  really
• 8:55
  have
• 8:55
  formed
• 8:56
  a
• 8:56
  super,
• 8:56
  super
• 8:57
  cool
• 8:57
  bond
• 8:57
  over
• 8:58
  the
• 8:58
  years
• 8:59
  and
• 9:00
  we've,
• 9:00
  we've
• 9:00
  figured
• 9:00
  out
• 9:01
  some
• 9:01
  really,
• 9:01
  really
• 9:01
  cool
• 9:02
  stuff
• 9:02
  and
• 9:02
  it's
• 9:03
  made
• 9:03
  us
• 9:03
  all
• 9:03
  better
• 9:03
  anglers.
• 9:04
  So
• 9:05
  I,
• 9:05
  like
• 9:05
  I
• 9:05
  said
• 9:05
  I
• 9:06
  wouldn't
• 9:06
  pick
• 9:07
  any
• 9:07
  one
• 9:07
  person
• 9:08
  in
• 9:08
  particular.
• 9:09
  It's
• 9:09
  just
• 9:09
  that
• 9:09
  that
• 9:10
  whole
• 9:10
  crew
• 9:10
  that
• 9:10
  I
• 9:10
  worked
• 9:11
  up
• 9:11
  there
• 9:11
  for
• 9:12
  a
• 9:12
  number
• 9:13
  of
• 9:13
  years,
• 9:13
  which
• 9:13
  is
• 9:14
  rare
• 9:14
  in
• 9:14
  that,
• 9:16
  particularly
• 9:17
  in
• 9:17
  our
• 9:17
  area,
• 9:17
  to
• 9:18
  have.
• 9:19
  Have
• 9:19
  crews
• 9:19
  of
• 9:20
  guides
• 9:20
  that
• 9:21
  have
• 9:22
  worked
• 9:22
  at
• 9:22
  One
• 9:22
  Lodge
• 9:23
  for
• 9:23
  more
• 9:23
  than
• 9:24
  like
• 9:24
  two
• 9:24
  or
• 9:24
  three
• 9:24
  years.
• 9:24
  We
• 9:25
  have
• 9:25
  a
• 9:25
  lot
• 9:25
  of,
• 9:25
  A
• 9:25
  lot
• 9:25
  of
• 9:26
  folks
• 9:26
  that
• 9:26
  are
• 9:26
  seven,
• 9:27
  eight,
• 9:27
  you
• 9:27
  know,
• 9:27
  all
• 9:28
  the
• 9:28
  way
• 9:28
  up
• 9:28
  to
• 9:28
  10,
• 9:28
  11
• 9:29
  seasons
• 9:30
  under
• 9:30
  their
• 9:30
  belt
• 9:30
  at
• 9:31
  one
• 9:31
  lodge,
• 9:31
  which
• 9:31
  is
• 9:31
  pretty
• 9:32
  cool.
• 9:33
  Yeah.
• 9:33
  Pretty
• 9:33
  neat.
• 9:33
  And
• 9:33
  so,
• 9:34
  you
• 9:34
  know,
• 9:34
  it's
• 9:34
  interesting.
• 9:34
  And
• 9:35
  one
• 9:35
  of
• 9:35
  the
• 9:35
  reasons
• 9:35
  I
• 9:35
  really
• 9:36
  want
• 9:36
  to
• 9:36
  talk
• 9:36
  about
• 9:36
  the
• 9:36
  guide
• 9:37
  stuff
• 9:37
  is
• 9:37
  I
• 9:37
  get
• 9:37
  a
• 9:37
  lot
• 9:38
  of
• 9:39
  questions
• 9:39
  on
• 9:40
  the
• 9:40
  podcast
• 9:40
  with
• 9:40
  guys
• 9:41
  that
• 9:41
  are
• 9:42
  maybe
• 9:42
  a
• 9:42
  little
• 9:42
  bit
• 9:42
  younger
• 9:43
  than
• 9:43
  you
• 9:43
  that
• 9:43
  kind
• 9:43
  of
• 9:43
  want
• 9:43
  to
• 9:44
  break
• 9:44
  into
• 9:44
  the
• 9:44
  game.
• 9:44
  And
• 9:44
  so
• 9:45
  you
• 9:45
  are
• 9:45
  a
• 9:45
  legit
• 9:47
  full
• 9:47
  time,
• 9:48
  four
• 9:48
  season
• 9:48
  guy.
• 9:49
  This
• 9:49
  is
• 9:49
  what
• 9:50
  you
• 9:50
  do.
• 9:50
  It's
• 9:50
  not
• 9:50
  a
• 9:51
  side
• 9:51
  hustle
• 9:51
  for
• 9:51
  you.
• 9:52
  And
• 9:52
  so
• 9:52
  I
• 9:52
  was
• 9:52
  kind
• 9:53
  of
• 9:53
  curious.
• 9:53
  We're
• 9:53
  recording
• 9:54
  this
• 9:54
  kind
• 9:55
  of
• 9:55
  Steelhead
• 9:56
  season
• 9:56
  is
• 9:56
  over.
• 9:56
  You're
• 9:57
  chasing
• 9:57
  smallmouth.
• 9:58
  But
• 9:58
  kind
• 9:58
  of
• 9:59
  walk
• 9:59
  us
• 9:59
  maybe
• 9:59
  starting
• 10:00
  like,
• 10:00
  say
• 10:00
  now,
• 10:00
  mid
• 10:01
  May,
• 10:01
  kind
• 10:01
  of
• 10:01
  through
• 10:02
  the
• 10:02
  whole
• 10:02
  kind
• 10:03
  of
• 10:03
  season,
• 10:03
  you
• 10:04
  know,
• 10:04
  of
• 10:04
  your
• 10:04
  guide
• 10:04
  season,
• 10:04
  so
• 10:05
  people
• 10:05
  kind
• 10:05
  of
• 10:05
  get
• 10:05
  an
• 10:05
  idea
• 10:06
  about
• 10:06
  what
• 10:06
  your
• 10:06
  year
• 10:06
  looks
• 10:07
  like.
• 10:08
  Yeah.
• 10:08
  So
• 10:09
  this
• 10:10
  time
• 10:10
  of
• 10:10
  year
• 10:10
  you
• 10:10
  know,
• 10:10
  we're
• 10:11
  in
• 10:11
  full
• 10:11
  swing
• 10:12
  as
• 10:12
  far
• 10:12
  as
• 10:13
  far
• 10:13
  as
• 10:13
  smallmouth
• 10:14
  goes.
• 10:16
  What's
• 10:17
  cool
• 10:17
  about
• 10:17
  what
• 10:17
  I
• 10:18
  do,
• 10:19
  especially
• 10:19
  for
• 10:19
  smallmouth
• 10:20
  is
• 10:20
  I
• 10:21
  have
• 10:21
  multiple
• 10:22
  different
• 10:22
  seasons
• 10:23
  going
• 10:23
  on
• 10:24
  within
• 10:24
  this
• 10:25
  season
• 10:25
  with
• 10:26
  the
• 10:26
  smallmouth
• 10:26
  because
• 10:27
  I,
• 10:27
  I
• 10:27
  have
• 10:28
  fish
• 10:28
  up
• 10:28
  here
• 10:28
  that
• 10:29
  are
• 10:29
  in,
• 10:31
  you
• 10:31
  know,
• 10:31
  along
• 10:31
  Lake
• 10:31
  Erie
• 10:32
  and
• 10:32
  along
• 10:32
  the
• 10:33
  tributaries
• 10:33
  that
• 10:33
  are
• 10:34
  still
• 10:34
  pre
• 10:34
  spawn
• 10:35
  and
• 10:36
  then
• 10:36
  I
• 10:36
  have
• 10:36
  some
• 10:36
  that
• 10:37
  are
• 10:37
  right
• 10:37
  in
• 10:37
  the
• 10:38
  middle
• 10:38
  of
• 10:38
  spawn
• 10:38
  and
• 10:39
  some
• 10:39
  of
• 10:39
  our
• 10:39
  inland
• 10:40
  tributaries
• 10:40
  and
• 10:41
  then
• 10:41
  some
• 10:41
  are,
• 10:41
  have
• 10:42
  been
• 10:42
  completely
• 10:42
  wrapped
• 10:43
  up
• 10:44
  for
• 10:44
  a
• 10:44
  couple
• 10:44
  weeks.
• 10:45
  So
• 10:46
  I
• 10:46
  have
• 10:46
  a,
• 10:46
  a
• 10:46
  wide
• 10:47
  range
• 10:47
  of,
• 10:49
  of
• 10:50
  seasons
• 10:50
  within
• 10:51
  seasons
• 10:52
  to
• 10:52
  mess
• 10:52
  around
• 10:52
  with.
• 10:53
  And
• 10:53
  you
• 10:53
  know,
• 10:54
  when
• 10:54
  some
• 10:54
  fisheries
• 10:55
  are
• 10:55
  busy
• 10:55
  with
• 10:55
  the
• 10:56
  spawn,
• 10:56
  I
• 10:56
  can
• 10:56
  avoid
• 10:57
  them
• 10:57
  and,
• 10:57
  and
• 10:57
  let
• 10:57
  them
• 10:58
  do
• 10:58
  their
• 10:58
  thing.
• 10:58
  And
• 10:59
  the
• 10:59
  pike
• 11:00
  fishing
• 11:00
  is
• 11:00
  great
• 11:00
  during
• 11:01
  this
• 11:01
  time
• 11:01
  of
• 11:01
  year
• 11:01
  as
• 11:02
  well.
• 11:02
  And
• 11:03
  once
• 11:03
  June
• 11:03
  rolls
• 11:04
  around
• 11:04
  and
• 11:04
  the
• 11:04
  carp
• 11:05
  finished
• 11:05
  spawning
• 11:06
  up,
• 11:07
  you
• 11:07
  know,
• 11:07
  we'll,
• 11:07
  we'll,
• 11:08
  we'll
• 11:08
  start
• 11:08
  doing
• 11:08
  some
• 11:08
  of
• 11:08
  that
• 11:09
  in
• 11:09
  June
• 11:09
  and
• 11:10
  July.
• 11:10
  I'll
• 11:10
  go
• 11:11
  up
• 11:11
  to
• 11:11
  Alaska,
• 11:12
  be
• 11:12
  up
• 11:12
  there
• 11:13
  for
• 11:14
  oh,
• 11:14
  probably
• 11:14
  about
• 11:15
  the
• 11:15
  first,
• 11:15
  second
• 11:16
  week
• 11:16
  of
• 11:16
  October,
• 11:17
  get
• 11:17
  back,
• 11:17
  have
• 11:17
  a
• 11:18
  little
• 11:18
  bit
• 11:18
  of
• 11:18
  time,
• 11:19
  maybe
• 11:20
  do
• 11:20
  a
• 11:20
  little
• 11:20
  bit
• 11:20
  of
• 11:20
  smallmouth
• 11:21
  and
• 11:21
  pike
• 11:21
  guiding
• 11:22
  as
• 11:22
  long
• 11:22
  as
• 11:22
  it's
• 11:22
  not
• 11:23
  too,
• 11:23
  too
• 11:23
  crazy
• 11:23
  cold.
• 11:24
  And
• 11:24
  then
• 11:25
  right
• 11:25
  back
• 11:25
  into
• 11:26
  the
• 11:26
  busy
• 11:26
  season
• 11:26
  for
• 11:27
  out
• 11:27
  in
• 11:27
  November
• 11:28
  and
• 11:28
  December
• 11:28
  till
• 11:28
  things
• 11:29
  freeze
• 11:29
  over.
• 11:31
  You
• 11:31
  know,
• 11:31
  sometimes
• 11:32
  we'll
• 11:32
  get
• 11:32
  a
• 11:32
  January
• 11:33
  February
• 11:33
  season,
• 11:34
  but
• 11:34
  it's
• 11:34
  rare.
• 11:34
  Especially
• 11:35
  these
• 11:35
  last
• 11:35
  couple
• 11:36
  years
• 11:36
  it's
• 11:36
  been
• 11:36
  such
• 11:37
  a
• 11:37
  harsh
• 11:37
  winter
• 11:37
  that
• 11:38
  January
• 11:39
  and
• 11:39
  February
• 11:39
  is
• 11:39
  kind
• 11:40
  of
• 11:40
  our,
• 11:40
  our
• 11:40
  off
• 11:41
  season
• 11:41
  and
• 11:41
  then
• 11:42
  we're,
• 11:42
  we're
• 11:42
  hitting
• 11:43
  the
• 11:43
  ground
• 11:43
  running
• 11:43
  again.
• 11:43
  And
• 11:44
  in
• 11:44
  March
• 11:45
  and
• 11:45
  April,
• 11:45
  if
• 11:45
  we,
• 11:46
  if
• 11:46
  we
• 11:46
  do
• 11:46
  have
• 11:46
  a
• 11:47
  season
• 11:47
  in
• 11:47
  January
• 11:47
  and
• 11:48
  February,
• 11:48
  that
• 11:48
  is
• 11:49
  one
• 11:49
  of
• 11:49
  my
• 11:49
  favorite
• 11:50
  times
• 11:50
  to
• 11:50
  get
• 11:50
  out
• 11:50
  for,
• 11:51
  for
• 11:51
  pike
• 11:51
  because
• 11:52
  it's
• 11:52
  their
• 11:52
  pre
• 11:52
  spawn,
• 11:54
  you
• 11:54
  know,
• 11:54
  before
• 11:54
  they
• 11:54
  spawn
• 11:55
  around
• 11:56
  that
• 11:56
  late
• 11:56
  February,
• 11:57
  early
• 11:57
  March
• 11:57
  timeframe.
• 11:58
  But
• 11:59
  unfortunately
• 11:59
  Mother
• 12:00
  Nature
• 12:00
  has
• 12:00
  had
• 12:01
  other
• 12:01
  plans
• 12:02
  for
• 12:02
  the
• 12:03
  pre
• 12:03
  spawn
• 12:03
  pike
• 12:03
  fishing
• 12:04
  these
• 12:04
  last
• 12:04
  couple
• 12:04
  years.
• 12:05
  Yeah,
• 12:05
  much
• 12:06
  more
• 12:06
  conducive
• 12:06
  to
• 12:06
  drinking
• 12:07
  beer,
• 12:07
  eating
• 12:07
  wings
• 12:07
  and
• 12:08
  tine
• 12:08
  flies.
• 12:08
  Right,
• 12:09
  exactly.
• 12:09
  Exactly.
• 12:10
  Yeah.
• 12:11
  And
• 12:11
  so
• 12:11
  I
• 12:11
  mean
• 12:11
  that's
• 12:11
  a
• 12:12
  ton.
• 12:12
  So
• 12:12
  I
• 12:12
  mean
• 12:12
  how
• 12:12
  do
• 12:13
  you
• 12:13
  juggle
• 12:13
  that,
• 12:13
  you
• 12:14
  know,
• 12:14
  particularly
• 12:14
  being,
• 12:15
  you
• 12:15
  know,
• 12:15
  away
• 12:15
  from
• 12:16
  home
• 12:16
  and
• 12:16
  managing
• 12:17
  things.
• 12:17
  I
• 12:17
  mean,
• 12:17
  how
• 12:17
  do
• 12:18
  you
• 12:18
  kind
• 12:18
  of
• 12:18
  juggle
• 12:18
  all
• 12:18
  those
• 12:19
  different
• 12:19
  pieces
• 12:19
  of
• 12:19
  the
• 12:19
  season
• 12:20
  and
• 12:20
  kind
• 12:20
  of
• 12:20
  keep
• 12:20
  it
• 12:20
  from
• 12:21
  driving
• 12:21
  you
• 12:21
  nuts?
• 12:23
  Lots
• 12:24
  of
• 12:24
  caffeine
• 12:25
  definitely
• 12:26
  helps
• 12:28
  and
• 12:30
  like
• 12:30
  honestly
• 12:31
  like
• 12:31
  you
• 12:32
  to
• 12:32
  be
• 12:33
  able
• 12:33
  to
• 12:33
  do
• 12:33
  it
• 12:35
  in
• 12:35
  the
• 12:35
  capacity
• 12:36
  that
• 12:36
  I
• 12:36
  do
• 12:36
  it
• 12:36
  and
• 12:37
  like
• 12:37
  so
• 12:38
  many
• 12:38
  different
• 12:38
  things,
• 12:38
  like
• 12:40
  you
• 12:40
  really
• 12:40
  gotta
• 12:40
  love
• 12:41
  it.
• 12:41
  Like
• 12:41
  once
• 12:41
  you,
• 12:42
  once
• 12:42
  you
• 12:43
  start
• 12:43
  to
• 12:44
  dislike
• 12:45
  it,
• 12:45
  then
• 12:45
  you
• 12:45
  gotta
• 12:46
  pick
• 12:46
  up
• 12:46
  and
• 12:46
  you,
• 12:46
  you
• 12:46
  gotta,
• 12:47
  you
• 12:47
  gotta
• 12:47
  do
• 12:47
  something
• 12:47
  else.
• 12:48
  Like
• 12:48
  I,
• 12:49
  I
• 12:49
  live
• 12:49
  and
• 12:49
  Breathe
• 12:50
  this
• 12:50
  stuff
• 12:50
  and
• 12:50
  wouldn't
• 12:51
  rather
• 12:51
  be
• 12:51
  doing
• 12:52
  anything
• 12:52
  else.
• 12:53
  And
• 12:53
  that's
• 12:53
  kind
• 12:54
  of
• 12:54
  what
• 12:54
  keeps
• 12:54
  me
• 12:54
  going,
• 12:55
  you
• 12:56
  know,
• 12:56
  even
• 12:56
  during
• 12:56
  these
• 12:57
  real,
• 12:57
  real
• 12:57
  busy
• 12:57
  schedules.
• 12:58
  I
• 12:58
  mean,
• 12:58
  there's,
• 12:58
  there's
• 12:59
  times
• 12:59
  that
• 13:00
  I'm
• 13:00
  driving
• 13:01
  15,
• 13:01
  20
• 13:01
  minutes
• 13:02
  from
• 13:02
  home
• 13:02
  for
• 13:03
  a
• 13:03
  guide
• 13:03
  day,
• 13:04
  and
• 13:04
  there's
• 13:04
  times
• 13:04
  that
• 13:04
  I'm
• 13:05
  driving
• 13:05
  two
• 13:05
  hours
• 13:06
  one
• 13:06
  way.
• 13:07
  But,
• 13:07
  you
• 13:07
  know,
• 13:08
  I
• 13:08
  wouldn't
• 13:09
  want
• 13:09
  it
• 13:09
  any
• 13:09
  other
• 13:10
  way.
• 13:10
  I
• 13:11
  love
• 13:11
  what
• 13:11
  I
• 13:11
  do
• 13:12
  and
• 13:12
  I
• 13:12
  love,
• 13:12
  love
• 13:13
  the
• 13:13
  way
• 13:13
  that
• 13:13
  I
• 13:14
  get
• 13:14
  to
• 13:14
  do
• 13:14
  it
• 13:14
  as
• 13:14
  well.
• 13:15
  Yeah.
• 13:16
  Very,
• 13:16
  very
• 13:16
  neat.
• 13:16
  So
• 13:16
  are
• 13:16
  you
• 13:17
  coffee
• 13:17
  or
• 13:17
  monster
• 13:18
  energy
• 13:18
  drink
• 13:18
  guy?
• 13:20
  I
• 13:20
  have
• 13:20
  been
• 13:20
  on
• 13:21
  the
• 13:21
  Celsius
• 13:22
  energy
• 13:22
  drinks
• 13:23
  for
• 13:24
  a
• 13:24
  while.
• 13:25
  I'm
• 13:26
  actually,
• 13:26
  I'm
• 13:27
  one
• 13:27
  of
• 13:27
  the
• 13:27
  few
• 13:27
  fishing
• 13:28
  guides
• 13:28
  that
• 13:28
  doesn't
• 13:29
  drink
• 13:29
  coffee
• 13:30
  at
• 13:30
  all.
• 13:31
  Interesting.
• 13:32
  Vapes
• 13:33
  and
• 13:33
  Zens.
• 13:33
  Cigarettes.
• 13:36
  No
• 13:36
  cigarettes.
• 13:38
  A
• 13:38
  Zen
• 13:38
  from
• 13:39
  time
• 13:39
  to
• 13:39
  time.
• 13:42
  Probably
• 13:43
  don't
• 13:43
  need
• 13:43
  to
• 13:43
  make
• 13:43
  it
• 13:44
  more
• 13:44
  than
• 13:45
  time
• 13:45
  to
• 13:45
  time.
• 13:46
  Um,
• 13:46
  but
• 13:46
  now
• 13:47
  I'm,
• 13:47
  I'm,
• 13:48
  I'm
• 13:48
  pretty
• 13:48
  pure
• 13:49
  as
• 13:49
  far
• 13:49
  as
• 13:49
  that
• 13:49
  goes.
• 13:50
  Right
• 13:50
  now
• 13:51
  I
• 13:51
  got
• 13:51
  you.
• 13:51
  So
• 13:52
  you're
• 13:52
  not,
• 13:52
  you
• 13:52
  know,
• 13:52
  you're
• 13:52
  not
• 13:53
  doing
• 13:53
  those
• 13:53
  like
• 13:53
  mocha
• 13:53
  coffee
• 13:54
  zins
• 13:54
  or
• 13:54
  anything
• 13:54
  crazy
• 13:55
  like
• 13:55
  that?
• 13:55
  No,
• 13:56
  no,
• 13:56
  nothing.
• 13:57
  Nothing
• 13:57
  too
• 13:57
  crazy
• 13:58
  like
• 13:58
  that.
• 13:59
  Yeah.
• 13:59
  And
• 13:59
  so
• 13:59
  I
• 14:00
  think
• 14:00
  probably
• 14:00
  folks
• 14:00
  probably
• 14:01
  have
• 14:01
  a
• 14:01
  pretty
• 14:01
  good
• 14:02
  idea
• 14:02
  of
• 14:03
  kind
• 14:03
  of
• 14:03
  what,
• 14:03
  you
• 14:04
  know,
• 14:04
  steelhead
• 14:05
  guiding
• 14:05
  on
• 14:05
  the
• 14:05
  alley
• 14:06
  is
• 14:06
  like
• 14:06
  and
• 14:06
  what
• 14:06
  fishing
• 14:07
  for
• 14:07
  smallmouth,
• 14:07
  you
• 14:08
  know,
• 14:08
  in
• 14:08
  the
• 14:08
  Midwest
• 14:08
  is
• 14:09
  like.
• 14:09
  But
• 14:09
  you
• 14:10
  know,
• 14:10
  I
• 14:10
  know
• 14:10
  you're
• 14:10
  lucky
• 14:11
  because
• 14:11
  you're
• 14:11
  senior
• 14:11
  now,
• 14:12
  so
• 14:12
  you
• 14:12
  get
• 14:12
  to
• 14:12
  kind
• 14:12
  of
• 14:12
  show
• 14:12
  up
• 14:12
  late
• 14:13
  to
• 14:13
  Alaska
• 14:13
  and
• 14:14
  kind
• 14:14
  of
• 14:14
  complain
• 14:14
  about
• 14:14
  why
• 14:15
  stuff's
• 14:15
  not
• 14:15
  the
• 14:15
  way
• 14:15
  it's
• 14:15
  supposed
• 14:16
  to
• 14:16
  be.
• 14:16
  But
• 14:17
  you.
• 14:18
  So
• 14:18
  that's
• 14:19
  a
• 14:19
  totally
• 14:19
  different
• 14:19
  jam,
• 14:20
  you
• 14:20
  know,
• 14:20
  in
• 14:20
  terms
• 14:20
  of
• 14:21
  the
• 14:21
  season.
• 14:21
  But,
• 14:21
  you
• 14:21
  know,
• 14:22
  talk.
• 14:22
  Can
• 14:22
  you
• 14:22
  talk
• 14:22
  to
• 14:22
  us
• 14:23
  a
• 14:23
  little
• 14:23
  bit
• 14:23
  more
• 14:23
  about
• 14:23
  kind
• 14:24
  of
• 14:25
  how
• 14:25
  that
• 14:25
  day
• 14:25
  to
• 14:25
  day
• 14:26
  grind
• 14:26
  of
• 14:26
  guiding
• 14:26
  in
• 14:27
  Alaska
• 14:27
  is
• 14:27
  different
• 14:27
  from
• 14:28
  being
• 14:28
  at
• 14:28
  home
• 14:28
  and
• 14:28
  guiding?
• 14:30
  Yeah,
• 14:30
  I,
• 14:31
  I'd
• 14:31
  say
• 14:31
  it's
• 14:32
  a,
• 14:32
  it's
• 14:32
  honestly
• 14:33
  just
• 14:33
  a
• 14:33
  little
• 14:33
  bit
• 14:33
  more
• 14:34
  kind
• 14:34
  of
• 14:34
  chill
• 14:35
  and
• 14:35
  laid
• 14:35
  back.
• 14:36
  Not
• 14:36
  necessarily
• 14:37
  laid
• 14:37
  back,
• 14:37
  but
• 14:37
  it's
• 14:38
  on
• 14:38
  a
• 14:38
  little
• 14:39
  bit
• 14:39
  more
• 14:39
  of
• 14:39
  a,
• 14:40
  more
• 14:40
  of
• 14:40
  a
• 14:40
  schedule
• 14:41
  than
• 14:41
  this
• 14:42
  is
• 14:42
  here.
• 14:43
  You
• 14:43
  know,
• 14:43
  my,
• 14:44
  my
• 14:44
  start
• 14:45
  times
• 14:45
  and
• 14:45
  end
• 14:46
  times
• 14:46
  and
• 14:46
  drive
• 14:47
  times
• 14:47
  all
• 14:48
  vary
• 14:48
  when
• 14:48
  I'm
• 14:49
  here.
• 14:50
  Whereas,
• 14:50
  you
• 14:50
  know,
• 14:51
  most
• 14:51
  of
• 14:51
  the
• 14:51
  time
• 14:52
  we're
• 14:52
  on
• 14:53
  the
• 14:53
  dock
• 14:53
  around
• 14:54
  eight,
• 14:54
  you
• 14:54
  know,
• 14:55
  finishing
• 14:55
  up
• 14:56
  our
• 14:56
  fishing
• 14:56
  days
• 14:56
  around
• 14:57
  four.
• 14:58
  And
• 14:58
  then
• 14:58
  there's
• 14:59
  not
• 14:59
  a
• 14:59
  whole
• 14:59
  lot
• 14:59
  to
• 15:00
  do
• 15:01
  before
• 15:02
  going
• 15:02
  out
• 15:02
  on
• 15:03
  the
• 15:03
  water
• 15:03
  and
• 15:04
  after
• 15:04
  getting
• 15:04
  back
• 15:05
  off
• 15:06
  the
• 15:06
  water
• 15:07
  in
• 15:07
  Alaska
• 15:08
  as
• 15:08
  there
• 15:08
  is
• 15:09
  here.
• 15:09
  You
• 15:09
  know,
• 15:09
  there's,
• 15:10
  as
• 15:10
  you
• 15:10
  know,
• 15:11
  for
• 15:11
  most
• 15:12
  of
• 15:12
  the
• 15:12
  guides
• 15:12
  that
• 15:13
  you've
• 15:13
  talked
• 15:13
  to,
• 15:13
  there's,
• 15:14
  there's
• 15:14
  a
• 15:14
  lot
• 15:14
  of
• 15:15
  pre
• 15:15
  and
• 15:15
  post
• 15:16
  work
• 15:16
  that
• 15:16
  goes
• 15:16
  into
• 15:17
  a
• 15:17
  lot
• 15:17
  of
• 15:17
  our
• 15:17
  guide
• 15:18
  days,
• 15:19
  which
• 15:19
  we
• 15:19
  just
• 15:20
  don't,
• 15:20
  don't
• 15:20
  have
• 15:20
  a
• 15:21
  ton
• 15:21
  of
• 15:21
  that
• 15:22
  up
• 15:22
  in
• 15:22
  Alaska,
• 15:23
  which
• 15:23
  is,
• 15:23
  which
• 15:24
  is
• 15:24
  nice.
• 15:24
  You
• 15:24
  know,
• 15:25
  there's
• 15:25
  a
• 15:25
  lot
• 15:26
  of
• 15:26
  back
• 15:26
  to
• 15:26
  back
• 15:26
  days.
• 15:27
  You
• 15:27
  know,
• 15:27
  it's.
• 15:27
  It's
• 15:28
  pretty
• 15:28
  much
• 15:28
  six
• 15:28
  days
• 15:29
  a
• 15:29
  week
• 15:29
  with
• 15:29
  Saturdays
• 15:30
  off
• 15:31
  for.
• 15:31
  For
• 15:32
  three
• 15:32
  months
• 15:32
  straight.
• 15:33
  But
• 15:34
  it's,
• 15:34
  it's
• 15:34
  a
• 15:35
  little
• 15:35
  bit
• 15:35
  more
• 15:35
  like
• 15:35
  a,
• 15:36
  like
• 15:37
  a
• 15:37
  regular
• 15:37
  9
• 15:37
  to
• 15:38
  5
• 15:38
  kind
• 15:39
  of
• 15:39
  schedule,
• 15:39
  which
• 15:39
  is,
• 15:40
  which
• 15:40
  is
• 15:40
  nice.
• 15:41
  Yeah.
• 15:41
  And
• 15:41
  so
• 15:41
  are
• 15:42
  you
• 15:42
  kind
• 15:42
  of
• 15:42
  close
• 15:42
  to
• 15:42
  town?
• 15:43
  So
• 15:43
  you
• 15:43
  can
• 15:43
  kind
• 15:43
  of
• 15:43
  run
• 15:44
  into
• 15:44
  town
• 15:44
  or
• 15:44
  like,
• 15:44
  you
• 15:45
  know,
• 15:45
  how
• 15:45
  do
• 15:45
  you
• 15:45
  deal
• 15:45
  with
• 15:45
  all
• 15:46
  the
• 15:46
  downtime?
• 15:46
  Cause
• 15:46
  also,
• 15:47
  I
• 15:47
  mean,
• 15:47
  you
• 15:47
  got
• 15:47
  generators
• 15:48
  and
• 15:48
  all
• 15:48
  that
• 15:48
  kind
• 15:48
  of
• 15:48
  stuff
• 15:48
  going
• 15:49
  on
• 15:49
  too.
• 15:49
  It's
• 15:49
  not
• 15:49
  like
• 15:49
  you
• 15:50
  just
• 15:50
  get
• 15:50
  to
• 15:51
  sit
• 15:51
  down
• 15:51
  and
• 15:51
  watch
• 15:51
  Netflix
• 15:52
  all
• 15:52
  day,
• 15:52
  right?
• 15:54
  Well,
• 15:55
  10
• 15:56
  years
• 15:56
  ago
• 15:56
  when
• 15:56
  I
• 15:57
  first
• 15:57
  started
• 15:57
  up
• 15:58
  there,
• 15:58
  yeah,
• 15:58
  it
• 15:59
  was,
• 15:59
  it
• 15:59
  was
• 16:00
  pretty,
• 16:00
  pretty
• 16:01
  dismal
• 16:01
  as
• 16:01
  far
• 16:02
  as
• 16:02
  after
• 16:02
  work
• 16:03
  activities.
• 16:03
  But
• 16:04
  we've
• 16:04
  got
• 16:05
  Starlink
• 16:05
  up
• 16:06
  there.
• 16:07
  My
• 16:07
  roommate
• 16:08
  and
• 16:08
  I,
• 16:08
  Josh
• 16:09
  Lafferty,
• 16:09
  we
• 16:10
  just
• 16:10
  put
• 16:10
  a
• 16:10
  TV
• 16:10
  in
• 16:11
  there.
• 16:11
  So
• 16:11
  it's,
• 16:11
  it's,
• 16:12
  it's
• 16:12
  pretty,
• 16:13
  it's
• 16:13
  pretty
• 16:13
  cushy
• 16:14
  nowadays
• 16:14
  after
• 16:15
  we
• 16:15
  get
• 16:15
  off
• 16:15
  the
• 16:15
  water.
• 16:15
  But
• 16:16
  yeah,
• 16:16
  we're,
• 16:16
  we're
• 16:16
  fairly
• 16:17
  close
• 16:17
  to
• 16:17
  town.
• 16:17
  It's.
• 16:18
  It's
• 16:18
  a
• 16:18
  cool
• 16:18
  setup
• 16:19
  and
• 16:19
  that.
• 16:19
  We're,
• 16:20
  we're
• 16:20
  not
• 16:20
  like
• 16:21
  super
• 16:22
  far
• 16:22
  off
• 16:22
  the
• 16:22
  grid
• 16:23
  and
• 16:23
  way
• 16:24
  out
• 16:24
  in
• 16:24
  the
• 16:24
  bush.
• 16:24
  Like
• 16:24
  a
• 16:25
  lot
• 16:25
  of
• 16:25
  these
• 16:25
  other
• 16:25
  lodges
• 16:26
  can
• 16:26
  be
• 16:27
  where
• 16:27
  you
• 16:27
  have
• 16:27
  to,
• 16:28
  you
• 16:28
  know,
• 16:28
  if
• 16:28
  you
• 16:28
  want
• 16:29
  beer
• 16:29
  and
• 16:30
  alcohol
• 16:30
  for
• 16:30
  the
• 16:30
  summer,
• 16:31
  you
• 16:31
  gotta
• 16:31
  order
• 16:31
  it
• 16:32
  at
• 16:32
  the
• 16:32
  beginning
• 16:32
  of
• 16:32
  the
• 16:33
  season.
• 16:33
  And,
• 16:34
  you
• 16:34
  know,
• 16:34
  that's
• 16:34
  what
• 16:34
  you
• 16:35
  get.
• 16:35
  You
• 16:36
  know,
• 16:36
  we're,
• 16:36
  we're
• 16:36
  within
• 16:37
  20,
• 16:38
  25
• 16:38
  minutes
• 16:39
  from
• 16:39
  the
• 16:39
  town
• 16:39
  of
• 16:39
  King
• 16:39
  Salmon,
• 16:40
  and
• 16:40
  they
• 16:40
  have
• 16:41
  everything
• 16:41
  you
• 16:42
  need
• 16:42
  and
• 16:42
  nothing
• 16:43
  that
• 16:43
  you
• 16:43
  don't.
• 16:43
  There's
• 16:44
  an
• 16:44
  airport,
• 16:45
  there's
• 16:45
  a
• 16:46
  grocery
• 16:46
  store
• 16:47
  with
• 16:48
  a
• 16:48
  liquor
• 16:48
  store
• 16:48
  attached,
• 16:49
  and
• 16:49
  there's
• 16:49
  two
• 16:50
  bars
• 16:50
  and
• 16:50
  a
• 16:50
  post
• 16:51
  office.
• 16:51
  It's
• 16:52
  great.
• 16:52
  You
• 16:52
  don't,
• 16:53
  you
• 16:53
  don't
• 16:53
  need
• 16:53
  anything
• 16:53
  more
• 16:53
  than
• 16:54
  that.
• 16:54
  Yeah.
• 16:55
  So
• 16:55
  tell
• 16:55
  people
• 16:56
  like
• 16:56
  how.
• 16:56
  You
• 16:56
  know,
• 16:56
  someone
• 16:57
  told
• 16:57
  me
• 16:57
  like
• 16:57
  one
• 16:57
  time
• 16:57
  how
• 16:57
  much
• 16:58
  a
• 16:58
  bag
• 16:58
  of
• 16:58
  Doritos
• 16:58
  cost.
• 16:59
  Tell
• 16:59
  people
• 16:59
  how
• 16:59
  expensive
• 17:00
  stuff
• 17:00
  is
• 17:00
  because
• 17:00
  it
• 17:00
  has
• 17:00
  to
• 17:01
  be
• 17:01
  flown
• 17:01
  in,
• 17:01
  right?
• 17:02
  Oh,
• 17:02
  yeah,
• 17:03
  it's.
• 17:03
  Some
• 17:03
  of
• 17:03
  it
• 17:04
  can
• 17:04
  be
• 17:04
  pretty
• 17:05
  insane.
• 17:05
  I
• 17:05
  mean,
• 17:05
  the
• 17:06
  gallon
• 17:07
  of
• 17:07
  milk,
• 17:07
  for
• 17:07
  example,
• 17:08
  can
• 17:08
  be
• 17:09
  like
• 17:09
  12
• 17:09
  to
• 17:10
  15
• 17:10
  bucks.
• 17:12
  One
• 17:12
  of
• 17:12
  the
• 17:13
  light
• 17:13
  beers
• 17:14
  that
• 17:14
  we
• 17:14
  drink
• 17:14
  up
• 17:15
  there,
• 17:15
  it's.
• 17:15
  It's
• 17:16
  a
• 17:16
  west
• 17:16
  coast
• 17:16
  beer
• 17:16
  called
• 17:17
  Rainier.
• 17:18
  Um,
• 17:19
  that
• 17:19
  for
• 17:20
  an
• 17:20
  18
• 17:20
  pack,
• 17:21
  you're
• 17:21
  gonna.
• 17:22
  Oh,
• 17:22
  God,
• 17:22
  it's.
• 17:23
  It's
• 17:23
  probably
• 17:23
  over
• 17:24
  40
• 17:24
  bucks
• 17:25
  now.
• 17:26
  Um,
• 17:26
  gas
• 17:27
  typically
• 17:27
  can
• 17:28
  be
• 17:28
  like
• 17:29
  7
• 17:29
  bucks
• 17:30
  a
• 17:30
  gallon,
• 17:30
  something
• 17:31
  like
• 17:31
  that.
• 17:31
  It's,
• 17:32
  It's.
• 17:33
  It's
• 17:33
  pretty
• 17:33
  wild
• 17:34
  how
• 17:34
  much
• 17:34
  the.
• 17:35
  The
• 17:35
  prices
• 17:35
  are
• 17:36
  up
• 17:36
  there.
• 17:37
  Yeah.
• 17:37
  What
• 17:38
  was
• 17:38
  your.
• 17:38
  What
• 17:38
  has
• 17:38
  been
• 17:39
  your
• 17:39
  kind
• 17:39
  of
• 17:39
  dumbest
• 17:40
  or
• 17:40
  most
• 17:40
  extravagant
• 17:41
  splurge
• 17:41
  in
• 17:41
  that
• 17:42
  kind
• 17:42
  of
• 17:42
  realm
• 17:42
  while
• 17:42
  you've
• 17:43
  been
• 17:43
  guiding.
• 17:44
  Oh,
• 17:45
  you're.
• 17:45
  You're
• 17:46
  talking
• 17:46
  about
• 17:46
  up
• 17:46
  there
• 17:46
  in
• 17:47
  Alaska.
• 17:47
  Exactly.
• 17:51
  I
• 17:52
  might
• 17:52
  have
• 17:52
  to.
• 17:52
  I
• 17:52
  might
• 17:52
  have
• 17:53
  to
• 17:53
  think
• 17:53
  about
• 17:53
  that
• 17:53
  one
• 17:54
  for
• 17:54
  a
• 17:54
  minute.
• 17:54
  We
• 17:55
  might
• 17:55
  have
• 17:55
  to
• 17:55
  come
• 17:55
  back
• 17:55
  at
• 17:56
  the
• 17:56
  end.
• 17:56
  All
• 17:56
  right.
• 17:57
  And
• 17:57
  think
• 17:57
  you'll
• 17:58
  be
• 17:58
  like,
• 17:58
  I
• 17:58
  had.
• 17:58
  To
• 17:58
  have
• 17:58
  a
• 17:58
  thing
• 17:58
  of
• 17:59
  Haagen
• 17:59
  Dazs
• 17:59
  and
• 17:59
  it
• 17:59
  was
• 17:59
  50
• 18:00
  bucks.
• 18:02
  Right,
• 18:02
  right.
• 18:04
  I
• 18:04
  did
• 18:04
  splurge
• 18:05
  on.
• 18:06
  We
• 18:06
  got
• 18:07
  off
• 18:07
  the
• 18:07
  beer
• 18:08
  this
• 18:08
  year,
• 18:08
  and
• 18:09
  we
• 18:09
  were
• 18:09
  making
• 18:10
  some
• 18:10
  cocktails.
• 18:12
  We
• 18:12
  were
• 18:12
  making
• 18:12
  some
• 18:12
  Moscow
• 18:13
  meals
• 18:13
  and
• 18:14
  that
• 18:14
  kind
• 18:14
  of
• 18:14
  stuff.
• 18:14
  And
• 18:15
  they
• 18:16
  only
• 18:16
  had
• 18:16
  one
• 18:17
  brand
• 18:17
  of
• 18:17
  ginger
• 18:18
  beer
• 18:18
  up
• 18:18
  there.
• 18:19
  They
• 18:19
  had
• 18:19
  Topo
• 18:19
  Tico
• 18:20
  ginger
• 18:20
  beer
• 18:20
  that
• 18:21
  was.
• 18:22
  Had
• 18:22
  been
• 18:22
  expired
• 18:23
  for
• 18:24
  about,
• 18:25
  I
• 18:25
  don't
• 18:25
  know,
• 18:25
  a
• 18:25
  month
• 18:26
  or
• 18:26
  two.
• 18:27
  And
• 18:27
  it
• 18:27
  was
• 18:28
  14
• 18:29
  or
• 18:30
  15
• 18:30
  bucks
• 18:30
  for
• 18:31
  a
• 18:31
  little
• 18:31
  four
• 18:31
  pack
• 18:32
  of
• 18:32
  those,
• 18:33
  which
• 18:33
  we
• 18:33
  got,
• 18:34
  I
• 18:34
  think,
• 18:34
  about
• 18:35
  five
• 18:35
  drinks
• 18:36
  out
• 18:36
  of.
• 18:37
  So
• 18:39
  that
• 18:39
  was.
• 18:39
  That
• 18:40
  was
• 18:40
  definitely
• 18:41
  splurging
• 18:41
  a
• 18:42
  little
• 18:42
  bit.
• 18:43
  Vodka's
• 18:45
  pretty
• 18:45
  insane
• 18:46
  up
• 18:46
  there
• 18:47
  as
• 18:47
  well.
• 18:49
  It's.
• 18:49
  It's
• 18:50
  hard
• 18:50
  to.
• 18:51
  It's
• 18:52
  hard
• 18:52
  to
• 18:52
  not
• 18:52
  call
• 18:53
  spending
• 18:54
  any
• 18:54
  money
• 18:55
  splurging,
• 18:56
  if
• 18:56
  that
• 18:56
  makes
• 18:56
  sense,
• 18:57
  because
• 18:57
  everything's
• 18:58
  expensive
• 18:58
  up
• 18:59
  there.
• 18:59
  No,
• 19:00
  absolutely.
• 19:00
  And
• 19:00
  so,
• 19:01
  you
• 19:01
  know,
• 19:01
  if
• 19:01
  we
• 19:01
  kind
• 19:01
  of
• 19:01
  come
• 19:01
  back
• 19:02
  to
• 19:02
  kind
• 19:02
  of
• 19:02
  the
• 19:02
  fish
• 19:02
  that
• 19:03
  you're
• 19:03
  chasing,
• 19:03
  do
• 19:03
  you
• 19:03
  have
• 19:04
  a
• 19:04
  favorite
• 19:04
  species
• 19:05
  that
• 19:05
  you
• 19:05
  like
• 19:05
  to
• 19:06
  chase
• 19:06
  on
• 19:06
  the
• 19:06
  fly
• 19:06
  when
• 19:06
  you're
• 19:07
  guiding?
• 19:08
  Hmm.
• 19:11
  I
• 19:11
  definitely
• 19:11
  like
• 19:11
  the
• 19:11
  smallmouth
• 19:12
  just
• 19:12
  because
• 19:13
  it.
• 19:13
  It
• 19:13
  takes
• 19:14
  us
• 19:14
  through
• 19:14
  so
• 19:14
  many
• 19:15
  different
• 19:15
  seasons
• 19:16
  and
• 19:16
  techniques.
• 19:16
  Like,
• 19:17
  that's,
• 19:17
  that's
• 19:17
  why
• 19:18
  I
• 19:18
  love
• 19:18
  them,
• 19:18
  is
• 19:18
  you
• 19:19
  can
• 19:19
  do
• 19:19
  so
• 19:19
  many
• 19:19
  different
• 19:20
  things
• 19:20
  with
• 19:20
  them
• 19:20
  versus,
• 19:21
  you
• 19:21
  know,
• 19:22
  you
• 19:23
  know,
• 19:23
  our
• 19:23
  steelhead
• 19:24
  programs.
• 19:24
  It's.
• 19:24
  It's
• 19:25
  kind
• 19:25
  of.
• 19:25
  It's
• 19:25
  either
• 19:25
  stripping
• 19:26
  streamers
• 19:26
  or
• 19:26
  swinging
• 19:27
  streamers
• 19:27
  or
• 19:27
  it's.
• 19:28
  It's
• 19:28
  the
• 19:28
  indicator
• 19:28
  thing.
• 19:29
  But,
• 19:29
  you
• 19:29
  know,
• 19:30
  smallmouth,
• 19:30
  there's
• 19:31
  dreads
• 19:32
  in
• 19:32
  the
• 19:32
  bottom
• 19:32
  with
• 19:32
  crayfish.
• 19:33
  There's
• 19:34
  fishing,
• 19:34
  you
• 19:34
  know,
• 19:35
  big
• 19:35
  streamers
• 19:36
  early
• 19:36
  in
• 19:36
  the
• 19:37
  season
• 19:37
  and
• 19:37
  high
• 19:37
  water,
• 19:38
  you
• 19:38
  know,
• 19:38
  little
• 19:39
  streamers,
• 19:39
  top
• 19:39
  water.
• 19:40
  There's
• 19:40
  so
• 19:41
  many
• 19:41
  different
• 19:41
  avenues
• 19:42
  that
• 19:42
  you
• 19:42
  can.
• 19:42
  You
• 19:42
  can
• 19:43
  roll
• 19:43
  with
• 19:43
  that.
• 19:44
  Interesting.
• 19:45
  Does
• 19:45
  your
• 19:45
  answer
• 19:45
  change
• 19:45
  if
• 19:46
  you're
• 19:46
  fun
• 19:46
  fishing?
• 19:49
  No,
• 19:49
  not.
• 19:50
  Not
• 19:50
  so
• 19:50
  much.
• 19:50
  I.
• 19:51
  I
• 19:51
  have
• 19:51
  definitely
• 19:52
  gotten
• 19:52
  into
• 19:52
  the
• 19:52
  carp
• 19:53
  game
• 19:53
  a
• 19:53
  good
• 19:54
  bit
• 19:54
  these.
• 19:54
  These
• 19:55
  past
• 19:55
  few
• 19:55
  years,
• 19:56
  these
• 19:56
  past,
• 19:56
  like,
• 19:56
  three
• 19:56
  or
• 19:57
  four
• 19:57
  years.
• 19:57
  And
• 19:57
  that's.
• 19:57
  That's
• 19:58
  been
• 19:58
  super
• 19:58
  fun.
• 19:59
  It's.
• 19:59
  It's
• 19:59
  been
• 19:59
  kind
• 19:59
  of
• 20:00
  a.
• 20:00
  A
• 20:00
  challenge
• 20:01
  that
• 20:01
  I
• 20:01
  really,
• 20:01
  really
• 20:02
  enjoy.
• 20:03
  And
• 20:04
  it's,
• 20:04
  it's
• 20:04
  super
• 20:05
  similar
• 20:05
  to
• 20:06
  the
• 20:07
  salt
• 20:07
  water
• 20:08
  and
• 20:08
  that,
• 20:08
  you
• 20:08
  know,
• 20:08
  you're
• 20:08
  standing
• 20:09
  up,
• 20:09
  you're
• 20:09
  hunting,
• 20:09
  you're
• 20:10
  looking,
• 20:10
  you're
• 20:10
  waiting,
• 20:11
  you're
• 20:11
  not
• 20:11
  sending
• 20:12
  a
• 20:12
  whole
• 20:12
  bunch
• 20:12
  of
• 20:12
  casts.
• 20:13
  You
• 20:13
  know,
• 20:13
  if
• 20:13
  we,
• 20:14
  if
• 20:14
  we
• 20:14
  see,
• 20:16
  if
• 20:16
  we
• 20:16
  have
• 20:16
  10
• 20:16
  opportunities
• 20:17
  in
• 20:17
  a
• 20:17
  day,
• 20:18
  you
• 20:18
  know,
• 20:18
  we're
• 20:18
  making
• 20:19
  10
• 20:19
  to
• 20:19
  15
• 20:20
  casts
• 20:20
  in
• 20:20
  a
• 20:20
  day.
• 20:21
  It's,
• 20:21
  it's,
• 20:21
  it's
• 20:22
  great.
• 20:22
  Interesting.
• 20:23
  Is
• 20:23
  that
• 20:23
  something
• 20:24
  that
• 20:24
  kind
• 20:24
  of
• 20:25
  Dustin
• 20:25
  kind
• 20:25
  of
• 20:25
  nudged
• 20:26
  you
• 20:26
  into?
• 20:30
  He
• 20:30
  was
• 20:30
  definitely
• 20:31
  talking
• 20:31
  about
• 20:31
  it
• 20:31
  a
• 20:31
  good
• 20:32
  bit.
• 20:32
  I,
• 20:32
  I,
• 20:32
  I
• 20:33
  definitely
• 20:33
  have
• 20:33
  messed
• 20:34
  around
• 20:34
  with
• 20:34
  it
• 20:34
  in
• 20:34
  the
• 20:35
  last,
• 20:35
  the
• 20:36
  last
• 20:36
  few
• 20:36
  years
• 20:37
  more
• 20:37
  than
• 20:37
  I
• 20:38
  have
• 20:39
  in
• 20:40
  the
• 20:40
  last
• 20:40
  10
• 20:41
  to
• 20:41
  15
• 20:42
  or
• 20:42
  so.
• 20:43
  Like,
• 20:43
  last
• 20:44
  year,
• 20:44
  we
• 20:44
  had
• 20:44
  a
• 20:45
  ton
• 20:45
  of
• 20:45
  high
• 20:45
  water,
• 20:46
  and
• 20:46
  a
• 20:46
  lot
• 20:46
  of
• 20:47
  our
• 20:47
  smallmouth
• 20:47
  fisheries
• 20:48
  and
• 20:48
  pipe
• 20:49
  fisheries
• 20:49
  were,
• 20:50
  were
• 20:50
  really
• 20:50
  high,
• 20:50
  and
• 20:51
  it
• 20:51
  was
• 20:51
  a
• 20:51
  struggle
• 20:51
  for
• 20:51
  me
• 20:52
  to
• 20:52
  get
• 20:52
  on
• 20:52
  them
• 20:52
  consistently.
• 20:53
  But
• 20:53
  a
• 20:53
  lot
• 20:53
  of
• 20:54
  the
• 20:54
  carp
• 20:54
  fisheries
• 20:54
  were
• 20:55
  pretty
• 20:56
  clear
• 20:56
  and
• 20:57
  running
• 20:57
  at
• 20:57
  a
• 20:57
  good
• 20:57
  level
• 20:58
  to
• 20:58
  where
• 20:58
  we
• 20:58
  could
• 20:58
  do
• 20:58
  that
• 20:59
  a
• 20:59
  lot
• 20:59
  more
• 20:59
  than
• 21:00
  smallmouth.
• 21:00
  So,
• 21:01
  you
• 21:02
  know,
• 21:02
  it's,
• 21:02
  it's,
• 21:03
  it's
• 21:03
  becoming
• 21:04
  something
• 21:04
  that
• 21:04
  I
• 21:05
  can
• 21:05
  kind
• 21:05
  of
• 21:05
  fall
• 21:05
  back
• 21:06
  on
• 21:06
  if
• 21:06
  other,
• 21:07
  other
• 21:07
  things
• 21:08
  aren't
• 21:08
  available.
• 21:09
  And
• 21:10
  it's
• 21:10
  been
• 21:10
  really,
• 21:10
  really
• 21:10
  fun
• 21:11
  to
• 21:11
  dive
• 21:11
  deeper
• 21:12
  and
• 21:12
  deeper
• 21:12
  into
• 21:12
  that.
• 21:13
  Very,
• 21:14
  very
• 21:14
  neat.
• 21:14
  And
• 21:14
  so
• 21:15
  I
• 21:15
  like
• 21:15
  to,
• 21:15
  Josh,
• 21:16
  always
• 21:16
  ask
• 21:17
  guide
• 21:17
  guests
• 21:18
  to
• 21:18
  share,
• 21:18
  you
• 21:19
  know,
• 21:19
  what
• 21:19
  they
• 21:19
  think
• 21:19
  the
• 21:19
  secret
• 21:20
  to
• 21:20
  being
• 21:20
  a
• 21:20
  good
• 21:20
  guide
• 21:21
  is.
• 21:23
  So
• 21:24
  something
• 21:24
  for
• 21:24
  me
• 21:25
  that
• 21:25
  I've
• 21:25
  definitely
• 21:26
  learned
• 21:28
  over
• 21:28
  the
• 21:28
  years
• 21:28
  of
• 21:29
  doing
• 21:29
  this
• 21:29
  is,
• 21:30
  you
• 21:30
  know,
• 21:30
  you
• 21:31
  got
• 21:31
  to
• 21:31
  be
• 21:31
  able
• 21:31
  to
• 21:31
  kind
• 21:31
  of
• 21:31
  cater
• 21:32
  each
• 21:32
  day
• 21:33
  according
• 21:33
  to
• 21:34
  each
• 21:34
  client's,
• 21:35
  you
• 21:35
  know,
• 21:35
  skill
• 21:36
  levels
• 21:36
  and
• 21:36
  expectations.
• 21:37
  You
• 21:37
  know,
• 21:37
  success
• 21:38
  is
• 21:38
  measured
• 21:39
  in
• 21:40
  so
• 21:40
  many
• 21:40
  different
• 21:41
  ways.
• 21:42
  You
• 21:43
  know,
• 21:43
  sometimes,
• 21:43
  like
• 21:44
  my
• 21:44
  view
• 21:44
  of
• 21:44
  a
• 21:45
  successful
• 21:45
  day,
• 21:46
  it
• 21:47
  can
• 21:47
  be
• 21:47
  way
• 21:47
  different
• 21:48
  from,
• 21:48
  from
• 21:48
  a
• 21:49
  customer's
• 21:49
  view,
• 21:50
  you
• 21:50
  know,
• 21:51
  especially
• 21:51
  if
• 21:51
  there's
• 21:51
  somebody
• 21:52
  that's
• 21:52
  just
• 21:52
  starting
• 21:52
  out,
• 21:53
  you
• 21:53
  know,
• 21:53
  catching
• 21:54
  a
• 21:55
  handful
• 21:55
  of
• 21:55
  smallmouth
• 21:56
  and
• 21:56
  learning
• 21:57
  how
• 21:57
  to
• 21:58
  really
• 21:58
  get
• 21:58
  a
• 21:58
  good
• 21:59
  cast
• 21:59
  that's
• 22:00
  30,
• 22:00
  40ft
• 22:01
  can
• 22:02
  be
• 22:02
  a
• 22:02
  huge
• 22:03
  success
• 22:03
  in
• 22:04
  a
• 22:05
  beginner
• 22:05
  customer's
• 22:06
  mind.
• 22:07
  And
• 22:08
  I
• 22:08
  feel
• 22:08
  like
• 22:09
  sometimes,
• 22:10
  you
• 22:10
  know,
• 22:11
  wanting
• 22:11
  to
• 22:11
  get
• 22:11
  those
• 22:12
  big
• 22:12
  hero
• 22:12
  shots
• 22:13
  and
• 22:13
  things
• 22:13
  like
• 22:13
  that
• 22:14
  can
• 22:14
  overshadow
• 22:16
  what
• 22:16
  that
• 22:16
  customer
• 22:18
  really
• 22:18
  wants
• 22:20
  in
• 22:20
  a
• 22:20
  day.
• 22:21
  And
• 22:21
  like
• 22:21
  I
• 22:21
  said,
• 22:21
  that
• 22:22
  success
• 22:22
  can
• 22:22
  be
• 22:22
  measured
• 22:23
  in
• 22:23
  so
• 22:23
  many
• 22:24
  different
• 22:24
  ways,
• 22:24
  and
• 22:25
  being
• 22:26
  able
• 22:26
  to
• 22:26
  kind
• 22:26
  of
• 22:27
  adjust
• 22:28
  accordingly
• 22:28
  to
• 22:28
  each
• 22:29
  customer's
• 22:31
  view
• 22:31
  and
• 22:32
  expectations,
• 22:33
  I
• 22:33
  think
• 22:33
  is
• 22:33
  really
• 22:33
  important.
• 22:34
  Yeah,
• 22:35
  it's
• 22:35
  interesting.
• 22:35
  It's
• 22:35
  always
• 22:36
  amazing
• 22:36
  to
• 22:36
  me
• 22:36
  how
• 22:36
  reluctant
• 22:37
  people
• 22:37
  are
• 22:37
  to
• 22:37
  tell
• 22:38
  their
• 22:38
  guide
• 22:38
  what
• 22:38
  they
• 22:38
  want
• 22:39
  to
• 22:39
  do
• 22:39
  in
• 22:39
  a
• 22:39
  day.
• 22:40
  Right,
• 22:40
  right.
• 22:41
  You
• 22:42
  know,
• 22:42
  it's
• 22:42
  interesting.
• 22:42
  I
• 22:42
  used
• 22:43
  to
• 22:43
  coordinate
• 22:44
  the
• 22:44
  Project
• 22:44
  Healing
• 22:44
  Waters
• 22:45
  program
• 22:45
  here
• 22:45
  in
• 22:45
  Charlotte.
• 22:46
  And
• 22:46
  we
• 22:46
  would
• 22:46
  take
• 22:46
  the
• 22:47
  guys
• 22:47
  out
• 22:47
  and
• 22:47
  I
• 22:47
  was
• 22:47
  like,
• 22:47
  guys,
• 22:48
  this
• 22:48
  is
• 22:48
  your
• 22:48
  day.
• 22:48
  You
• 22:48
  need
• 22:49
  to
• 22:49
  tell
• 22:49
  the
• 22:49
  guy
• 22:50
  what
• 22:50
  you
• 22:50
  want
• 22:50
  to
• 22:50
  do.
• 22:50
  Do
• 22:50
  you
• 22:50
  want
• 22:51
  to
• 22:51
  catch
• 22:51
  a
• 22:51
  couple
• 22:51
  big
• 22:51
  fish?
• 22:52
  You
• 22:52
  want
• 22:52
  to
• 22:52
  catch
• 22:52
  a
• 22:52
  lot
• 22:52
  of
• 22:52
  fish?
• 22:53
  And
• 22:54
  you
• 22:54
  know,
• 22:54
  it
• 22:54
  wasn't
• 22:55
  just
• 22:55
  Project
• 22:55
  Healing
• 22:55
  Waters
• 22:56
  guys.
• 22:56
  It's
• 22:56
  in
• 22:56
  general.
• 22:56
  I
• 22:57
  think
• 22:57
  a
• 22:57
  lot
• 22:57
  of
• 22:57
  times
• 22:57
  clients
• 22:58
  are
• 22:58
  really
• 22:58
  reluctant
• 22:59
  to
• 22:59
  tell
• 22:59
  their
• 22:59
  guides
• 23:00
  what
• 23:00
  they
• 23:00
  want
• 23:00
  to
• 23:00
  do
• 23:00
  on
• 23:00
  the
• 23:00
  water.
• 23:02
  Yeah,
• 23:02
  yeah,
• 23:03
  for
• 23:03
  sure.
• 23:03
  And
• 23:03
  it's,
• 23:03
  it's
• 23:04
  important
• 23:04
  to
• 23:04
  have
• 23:04
  that,
• 23:05
  that
• 23:05
  communication
• 23:06
  between,
• 23:07
  between
• 23:08
  us
• 23:08
  and
• 23:09
  our
• 23:09
  customers
• 23:10
  and
• 23:10
  it,
• 23:11
  I
• 23:12
  think
• 23:12
  it
• 23:12
  forms
• 23:12
  a
• 23:13
  better
• 23:13
  bond
• 23:13
  and
• 23:14
  relationship
• 23:14
  between
• 23:14
  the
• 23:15
  two.
• 23:15
  Yeah,
• 23:17
  yeah,
• 23:17
  it
• 23:18
  just
• 23:18
  makes,
• 23:18
  makes
• 23:18
  days
• 23:19
  easier
• 23:19
  overall.
• 23:20
  Yeah,
• 23:20
  absolutely.
• 23:21
  And
• 23:21
  you
• 23:21
  know,
• 23:22
  what
• 23:22
  do
• 23:22
  you
• 23:22
  think's
• 23:22
  the
• 23:22
  biggest
• 23:23
  misconception
• 23:24
  people
• 23:24
  have
• 23:24
  about
• 23:24
  the
• 23:24
  life
• 23:25
  of
• 23:25
  a
• 23:25
  fishing
• 23:25
  guide?
• 23:31
  I
• 23:31
  would
• 23:31
  say
• 23:33
  that
• 23:33
  the
• 23:33
  biggest
• 23:34
  misconception
• 23:35
  is
• 23:36
  probably
• 23:36
  that
• 23:37
  we're
• 23:37
  living
• 23:37
  the
• 23:37
  dream
• 23:38
  100%
• 23:39
  of
• 23:39
  the
• 23:39
  time.
• 23:40
  There's,
• 23:41
  there's
• 23:41
  a
• 23:41
  lot
• 23:41
  of,
• 23:42
  a
• 23:42
  lot
• 23:43
  of
• 23:43
  things
• 23:43
  that
• 23:44
  can
• 23:44
  happen
• 23:46
  before,
• 23:47
  after
• 23:47
  trips
• 23:48
  or
• 23:48
  on
• 23:48
  our
• 23:48
  off
• 23:48
  days
• 23:49
  and
• 23:49
  things
• 23:49
  like
• 23:50
  that,
• 23:50
  trailer
• 23:51
  trouble,
• 23:51
  car
• 23:51
  trouble,
• 23:52
  you
• 23:52
  know,
• 23:53
  all
• 23:53
  that
• 23:53
  sort
• 23:54
  of
• 23:54
  stuff
• 23:54
  that,
• 23:55
  you
• 23:55
  know,
• 23:55
  that
• 23:56
  it
• 23:56
  sometimes
• 23:57
  can
• 23:57
  make
• 23:57
  you
• 23:57
  question
• 23:58
  why,
• 23:58
  why
• 23:59
  you're
• 23:59
  doing
• 23:59
  this
• 23:59
  and
• 24:00
  things
• 24:00
  like
• 24:00
  that.
• 24:01
  But
• 24:02
  you
• 24:03
  know,
• 24:03
  then,
• 24:03
  then
• 24:04
  we'll,
• 24:05
  then,
• 24:05
  you
• 24:05
  know,
• 24:06
  I'll
• 24:06
  turn
• 24:06
  around
• 24:06
  that
• 24:07
  next
• 24:07
  day
• 24:07
  after
• 24:07
  having
• 24:08
  some,
• 24:08
  you
• 24:09
  know,
• 24:10
  blown
• 24:10
  out
• 24:10
  trailer
• 24:10
  bearing
• 24:11
  or
• 24:11
  something
• 24:11
  like
• 24:12
  that.
• 24:12
  I'll
• 24:12
  be
• 24:12
  on
• 24:12
  the
• 24:12
  water
• 24:13
  with
• 24:13
  some
• 24:13
  good
• 24:13
  customers
• 24:14
  and
• 24:14
  they'll
• 24:14
  be
• 24:14
  like,
• 24:14
  you
• 24:15
  know,
• 24:15
  you're,
• 24:15
  you
• 24:15
  know,
• 24:15
  you're,
• 24:16
  you're
• 24:16
  really
• 24:16
  living
• 24:17
  the
• 24:17
  dream
• 24:17
  doing
• 24:17
  this
• 24:18
  stuff.
• 24:18
  And
• 24:18
  you
• 24:18
  know,
• 24:19
  I
• 24:19
  gotta,
• 24:19
  I
• 24:19
  gotta
• 24:20
  kind
• 24:20
  of
• 24:20
  think
• 24:20
  back
• 24:20
  to
• 24:21
  when
• 24:21
  I
• 24:22
  was
• 24:22
  young
• 24:22
  and
• 24:22
  like
• 24:23
  this
• 24:23
  was
• 24:23
  really
• 24:23
  my
• 24:24
  dream
• 24:24
  and
• 24:24
  now
• 24:25
  I'm
• 24:25
  actually
• 24:25
  living
• 24:25
  it
• 24:26
  and
• 24:26
  you
• 24:26
  know,
• 24:26
  I,
• 24:27
  I
• 24:27
  can't,
• 24:27
  can't
• 24:27
  take
• 24:28
  it
• 24:28
  for
• 24:28
  granted.
• 24:29
  Yeah,
• 24:30
  I
• 24:30
  mean,
• 24:30
  it's
• 24:30
  interesting
• 24:30
  too
• 24:31
  because
• 24:31
  I
• 24:31
  think
• 24:31
  a
• 24:31
  lot
• 24:31
  of
• 24:31
  people
• 24:32
  don't
• 24:32
  realize
• 24:32
  that
• 24:33
  you
• 24:33
  probably
• 24:33
  spend
• 24:34
  probably,
• 24:35
  you
• 24:35
  know,
• 24:36
  four
• 24:36
  hours
• 24:37
  of
• 24:37
  prep
• 24:37
  and
• 24:37
  cleanup
• 24:38
  time
• 24:38
  for
• 24:39
  every
• 24:39
  day
• 24:39
  that
• 24:39
  you're
• 24:39
  out.
• 24:40
  Yeah,
• 24:41
  yeah,
• 24:41
  for
• 24:41
  sure.
• 24:43
  Yeah.
• 24:43
  It's
• 24:43
  interesting.
• 24:44
  And
• 24:44
  so,
• 24:44
  you
• 24:44
  know,
• 24:44
  like
• 24:45
  I
• 24:45
  said
• 24:45
  earlier
• 24:45
  and
• 24:46
  you
• 24:46
  touched
• 24:46
  on
• 24:46
  this
• 24:46
  a
• 24:46
  little
• 24:46
  bit
• 24:47
  about
• 24:47
  being
• 24:47
  able
• 24:47
  to
• 24:47
  kind
• 24:47
  of
• 24:48
  live
• 24:48
  at
• 24:48
  home
• 24:48
  and
• 24:48
  it
• 24:48
  made
• 24:48
  it
• 24:49
  easier
• 24:49
  for
• 24:49
  you
• 24:49
  to
• 24:49
  kind
• 24:49
  of
• 24:49
  break
• 24:50
  into
• 24:50
  the
• 24:50
  guide
• 24:50
  game.
• 24:50
  But
• 24:51
  you
• 24:51
  know,
• 24:51
  for,
• 24:52
  for
• 24:52
  these
• 24:52
  guys
• 24:52
  that
• 24:52
  are,
• 24:53
  you
• 24:53
  know,
• 24:53
  DMing
• 24:54
  me
• 24:54
  on
• 24:54
  Instagram
• 24:54
  or
• 24:55
  sending
• 24:55
  me
• 24:55
  emails,
• 24:55
  be
• 24:55
  like,
• 24:56
  hey,
• 24:56
  you
• 24:56
  know,
• 24:57
  ask
• 24:57
  somebody
• 24:57
  like,
• 24:58
  you
• 24:58
  know,
• 24:58
  what's
• 24:58
  the
• 24:58
  secret?
• 24:59
  Or
• 24:59
  what
• 24:59
  should
• 24:59
  I
• 24:59
  do
• 24:59
  if
• 25:00
  I
• 25:00
  want
• 25:00
  to
• 25:00
  kind
• 25:00
  of
• 25:00
  break
• 25:00
  into
• 25:01
  the
• 25:01
  guide
• 25:01
  game
• 25:01
  and
• 25:01
  be
• 25:01
  a
• 25:01
  full
• 25:02
  time
• 25:02
  guide?
• 25:03
  You
• 25:03
  know,
• 25:03
  what
• 25:03
  advice
• 25:03
  do
• 25:03
  you
• 25:03
  have
• 25:04
  for
• 25:04
  Him.
• 25:07
  I
• 25:07
  would
• 25:07
  say
• 25:07
  definitely
• 25:08
  be
• 25:08
  realistic
• 25:09
  about
• 25:09
  your
• 25:09
  goals.
• 25:11
  And
• 25:11
  you
• 25:12
  know,
• 25:12
  one,
• 25:12
  one
• 25:12
  thing
• 25:12
  that
• 25:13
  I've
• 25:13
  had
• 25:13
  to
• 25:13
  do
• 25:13
  as
• 25:14
  I've
• 25:14
  gotten
• 25:14
  older
• 25:15
  is
• 25:16
  you
• 25:16
  know,
• 25:17
  like,
• 25:17
  like
• 25:17
  I
• 25:17
  mentioned
• 25:18
  living
• 25:18
  at
• 25:18
  home
• 25:18
  when
• 25:19
  I
• 25:19
  was
• 25:19
  younger
• 25:19
  and
• 25:20
  not
• 25:20
  having
• 25:20
  a
• 25:20
  whole
• 25:21
  lot
• 25:21
  of
• 25:21
  expenses
• 25:21
  when
• 25:22
  I
• 25:22
  started
• 25:22
  out
• 25:22
  and
• 25:23
  you
• 25:23
  know,
• 25:23
  I'd
• 25:23
  get
• 25:23
  home
• 25:24
  from
• 25:24
  Alaska
• 25:24
  and
• 25:25
  have
• 25:25
  a
• 25:26
  big
• 25:26
  paycheck
• 25:26
  and
• 25:27
  oh
• 25:27
  man,
• 25:27
  that
• 25:28
  rod
• 25:28
  looks
• 25:28
  nice.
• 25:29
  Or
• 25:29
  you
• 25:29
  know,
• 25:29
  this
• 25:30
  pair
• 25:30
  of
• 25:30
  waders
• 25:31
  and
• 25:31
  boots
• 25:31
  looks
• 25:31
  pretty
• 25:32
  sweet
• 25:32
  too.
• 25:32
  And
• 25:33
  you
• 25:33
  know,
• 25:34
  I,
• 25:34
  I
• 25:34
  blow
• 25:35
  it
• 25:35
  all
• 25:35
  pretty
• 25:35
  early
• 25:36
  and
• 25:36
  unfortunately
• 25:37
  I
• 25:37
  can't
• 25:38
  do
• 25:38
  that
• 25:38
  because
• 25:38
  I
• 25:38
  have
• 25:39
  a
• 25:39
  lot
• 25:39
  of,
• 25:39
  a
• 25:39
  lot
• 25:40
  of
• 25:40
  bills
• 25:40
  and
• 25:40
  you
• 25:41
  know,
• 25:41
  a
• 25:41
  lot
• 25:41
  of
• 25:41
  things
• 25:41
  to
• 25:41
  pay
• 25:42
  for
• 25:42
  and
• 25:42
  stuff
• 25:42
  like
• 25:43
  that.
• 25:43
  So,
• 25:43
  you
• 25:43
  know,
• 25:44
  somebody's
• 25:44
  starting
• 25:45
  out
• 25:45
  and
• 25:45
  they're
• 25:46
  around
• 25:46
  my
• 25:47
  age,
• 25:47
  in
• 25:47
  their
• 25:47
  mid-20s,
• 25:48
  you
• 25:48
  know,
• 25:49
  early
• 25:49
  20s
• 25:49
  or
• 25:50
  you
• 25:50
  know,
• 25:50
  wherever.
• 25:51
  You
• 25:51
  know,
• 25:51
  be
• 25:51
  realistic
• 25:52
  about
• 25:52
  your
• 25:52
  expenses
• 25:53
  and
• 25:53
  your
• 25:54
  goals
• 25:54
  and
• 25:54
  stuff
• 25:54
  like
• 25:55
  that.
• 25:55
  And
• 25:55
  you
• 25:55
  know,
• 25:55
  there's
• 25:57
  mother
• 25:57
  Nature
• 25:58
  is
• 25:58
  especially
• 25:59
  around
• 25:59
  our
• 25:59
  area,
• 26:00
  kind
• 26:00
  of
• 26:00
  really
• 26:01
  controls
• 26:01
  when
• 26:02
  you
• 26:03
  can
• 26:03
  and
• 26:03
  cannot.
• 26:05
  Um,
• 26:05
  so
• 26:06
  that,
• 26:06
  that's
• 26:06
  something
• 26:06
  you
• 26:07
  gotta
• 26:07
  kind
• 26:07
  of
• 26:08
  factor
• 26:08
  into,
• 26:10
  you
• 26:10
  know,
• 26:10
  how,
• 26:10
  how
• 26:10
  you're
• 26:11
  gonna
• 26:11
  make
• 26:11
  this
• 26:11
  a
• 26:11
  full
• 26:11
  time
• 26:12
  career
• 26:12
  as
• 26:12
  well.
• 26:12
  Cause
• 26:13
  you,
• 26:13
  you
• 26:13
  can't
• 26:14
  just
• 26:14
  book
• 26:14
  a
• 26:14
  bunch
• 26:14
  of
• 26:14
  days
• 26:15
  and
• 26:16
  you
• 26:16
  know,
• 26:16
  automatically
• 26:17
  expect
• 26:17
  that
• 26:17
  you're
• 26:18
  gonna
• 26:18
  be
• 26:18
  able
• 26:18
  to
• 26:19
  run
• 26:19
  every
• 26:19
  single
• 26:19
  one
• 26:20
  of
• 26:20
  them.
• 26:21
  Yeah.
• 26:21
  And
• 26:21
  I
• 26:21
  know
• 26:21
  you're
• 26:22
  lucky
• 26:22
  too.
• 26:22
  Like,
• 26:22
  I
• 26:23
  know
• 26:23
  your,
• 26:23
  your
• 26:23
  winners
• 26:23
  have
• 26:24
  been
• 26:24
  pretty
• 26:24
  grim,
• 26:24
  but
• 26:24
  by
• 26:25
  being
• 26:25
  a
• 26:25
  four
• 26:25
  season
• 26:25
  guy,
• 26:26
  you
• 26:26
  know,
• 26:26
  you're
• 26:26
  lucky
• 26:26
  that
• 26:27
  you're
• 26:27
  not
• 26:27
  trying
• 26:27
  to
• 26:27
  make
• 26:27
  your
• 26:28
  nut
• 26:28
  for
• 26:28
  the
• 26:28
  year
• 26:28
  in
• 26:29
  like
• 26:29
  90
• 26:29
  or
• 26:29
  100.
• 26:31
  Correct.
• 26:32
  You
• 26:32
  know,
• 26:32
  it
• 26:32
  just,
• 26:32
  it,
• 26:33
  it
• 26:33
  takes
• 26:33
  a
• 26:33
  lot
• 26:33
  of,
• 26:34
  a
• 26:34
  lot
• 26:34
  of
• 26:34
  planning
• 26:35
  beforehand,
• 26:36
  you
• 26:36
  know,
• 26:36
  and
• 26:36
  I
• 26:37
  put
• 26:37
  myself
• 26:38
  into
• 26:38
  some
• 26:38
  situations
• 26:39
  financially
• 26:39
  that
• 26:40
  I
• 26:40
  don't
• 26:40
  really
• 26:40
  want
• 26:41
  to
• 26:41
  be
• 26:41
  in
• 26:41
  sometimes.
• 26:42
  But
• 26:42
  it's
• 26:42
  just,
• 26:42
  you
• 26:42
  know,
• 26:43
  you,
• 26:43
  you
• 26:43
  learn
• 26:44
  from
• 26:44
  mistakes
• 26:45
  and,
• 26:45
  and
• 26:46
  whatnot.
• 26:46
  And
• 26:48
  it,
• 26:48
  it
• 26:48
  definitely,
• 26:50
  it,
• 26:50
  it
• 26:50
  helps
• 26:51
  in
• 26:51
  the
• 26:51
  long
• 26:51
  run
• 26:52
  kind
• 26:52
  of,
• 26:52
  kind
• 26:53
  of
• 26:53
  planning
• 26:53
  things
• 26:54
  out.
• 26:54
  Yeah.
• 26:55
  And
• 26:55
  you
• 26:55
  know,
• 26:55
  another
• 26:55
  hat
• 26:56
  that
• 26:56
  you
• 26:56
  wear,
• 26:56
  you
• 26:56
  know,
• 26:56
  so
• 26:57
  you're
• 26:57
  in
• 26:57
  Alaska
• 26:57
  with
• 26:57
  Knack
• 26:58
  Neck
• 26:58
  River
• 26:58
  Camp
• 26:58
  and
• 26:59
  you
• 26:59
  know,
• 26:59
  you
• 26:59
  guide
• 26:59
  for
• 26:59
  mro,
• 27:00
  but
• 27:00
  you're
• 27:00
  also
• 27:00
  their
• 27:00
  head
• 27:01
  guide.
• 27:02
  And
• 27:02
  so
• 27:02
  I
• 27:02
  was
• 27:02
  kind
• 27:02
  of
• 27:02
  curious,
• 27:03
  you
• 27:03
  know,
• 27:04
  what
• 27:04
  delightful
• 27:05
  administrative
• 27:06
  things
• 27:06
  you
• 27:06
  do
• 27:06
  for
• 27:06
  Brian
• 27:07
  and
• 27:07
  the
• 27:07
  folks
• 27:07
  in
• 27:07
  the
• 27:07
  shop
• 27:08
  in
• 27:09
  that
• 27:09
  role.
• 27:09
  If
• 27:09
  you
• 27:09
  could
• 27:10
  share
• 27:10
  that
• 27:10
  with
• 27:10
  our
• 27:10
  listeners.
• 27:11
  Yeah,
• 27:12
  yeah.
• 27:12
  So
• 27:12
  there's
• 27:13
  not
• 27:13
  a
• 27:13
  whole
• 27:13
  lot
• 27:13
  that
• 27:14
  goes
• 27:14
  into
• 27:14
  it
• 27:15
  on
• 27:15
  the
• 27:15
  back
• 27:15
  end.
• 27:15
  Like
• 27:16
  when
• 27:17
  Dustin's
• 27:18
  home
• 27:18
  from
• 27:18
  Wyoming
• 27:19
  and
• 27:20
  Rob
• 27:20
  Huffman's
• 27:21
  here
• 27:21
  as
• 27:21
  well
• 27:21
  and
• 27:22
  we're
• 27:23
  kind
• 27:23
  of
• 27:23
  running
• 27:23
  our
• 27:24
  busy
• 27:24
  steelhead
• 27:25
  season.
• 27:25
  That's
• 27:25
  definitely
• 27:27
  what
• 27:27
  we
• 27:27
  book
• 27:27
  the
• 27:28
  most
• 27:28
  trips
• 27:28
  for
• 27:30
  there's
• 27:30
  a
• 27:30
  lot
• 27:30
  of
• 27:31
  times
• 27:31
  we're
• 27:31
  running
• 27:31
  six,
• 27:32
  seven
• 27:32
  days
• 27:32
  a
• 27:33
  week
• 27:33
  for
• 27:34
  a
• 27:34
  couple
• 27:34
  months
• 27:34
  straight
• 27:35
  as
• 27:35
  long
• 27:35
  as
• 27:35
  we
• 27:35
  don't
• 27:36
  get
• 27:36
  blown
• 27:36
  out
• 27:36
  by
• 27:37
  the
• 27:37
  weather
• 27:37
  and,
• 27:38
  and
• 27:38
  whatnot.
• 27:40
  So
• 27:40
  it's,
• 27:40
  it's
• 27:41
  a
• 27:41
  little
• 27:41
  bit
• 27:41
  of
• 27:41
  paperwork
• 27:42
  and
• 27:42
  computer
• 27:43
  work,
• 27:43
  kind
• 27:43
  of
• 27:43
  organizing
• 27:44
  some
• 27:44
  things
• 27:44
  after
• 27:45
  we
• 27:45
  get
• 27:45
  off
• 27:45
  the
• 27:45
  water
• 27:46
  and
• 27:46
  make
• 27:46
  sure
• 27:47
  certain
• 27:47
  files
• 27:48
  are
• 27:48
  put
• 27:48
  into
• 27:49
  certain
• 27:49
  folders
• 27:50
  and
• 27:50
  just
• 27:50
  kind
• 27:50
  of
• 27:50
  make
• 27:51
  sure
• 27:51
  the,
• 27:51
  the
• 27:51
  ship's
• 27:52
  running
• 27:52
  smoothly.
• 27:54
  But
• 27:54
  yeah,
• 27:55
  there,
• 27:55
  there's
• 27:55
  not
• 27:55
  a
• 27:55
  whole
• 27:56
  lot
• 27:56
  that
• 27:56
  goes
• 27:56
  into
• 27:56
  it,
• 27:57
  thankfully.
• 27:58
  Yeah.
• 27:59
  And
• 27:59
  so
• 27:59
  are
• 27:59
  you
• 28:00
  like
• 28:00
  running
• 28:00
  the
• 28:00
  guide
• 28:00
  calendar
• 28:01
  for
• 28:01
  the
• 28:01
  shop
• 28:01
  or
• 28:01
  is
• 28:02
  the
• 28:02
  shop
• 28:02
  booking
• 28:02
  trips?
• 28:03
  I
• 28:03
  mean,
• 28:03
  is
• 28:03
  that
• 28:03
  kind
• 28:03
  of
• 28:04
  part.
• 28:04
  Of
• 28:04
  it
• 28:04
  or
• 28:04
  Y
• 28:05
  shop
• 28:05
  is
• 28:06
  booking
• 28:06
  all
• 28:06
  the
• 28:06
  trips
• 28:07
  and
• 28:07
  things
• 28:07
  like
• 28:07
  that.
• 28:07
  And
• 28:08
  then
• 28:08
  you
• 28:08
  know,
• 28:08
  once,
• 28:08
  once
• 28:09
  the
• 28:09
  trip
• 28:09
  is
• 28:09
  built,
• 28:10
  you
• 28:10
  know,
• 28:10
  we
• 28:10
  do
• 28:10
  a
• 28:10
  lot
• 28:10
  of
• 28:10
  things
• 28:11
  on,
• 28:11
  on
• 28:11
  Google
• 28:12
  Drive
• 28:13
  so
• 28:13
  I
• 28:14
  can
• 28:14
  see
• 28:14
  it
• 28:14
  all
• 28:14
  remotely
• 28:16
  so
• 28:16
  I,
• 28:16
  I
• 28:17
  can
• 28:18
  take
• 28:18
  a
• 28:18
  little
• 28:18
  bit
• 28:18
  off
• 28:19
  their
• 28:19
  plate
• 28:19
  and
• 28:19
  you
• 28:20
  know,
• 28:20
  once,
• 28:20
  once
• 28:20
  they
• 28:21
  build
• 28:21
  the
• 28:22
  trip
• 28:22
  and
• 28:22
  it's
• 28:22
  put
• 28:22
  into
• 28:22
  the
• 28:23
  Google
• 28:23
  Drive,
• 28:23
  you
• 28:23
  know,
• 28:24
  I
• 28:24
  have
• 28:24
  access
• 28:24
  to
• 28:24
  be
• 28:25
  able
• 28:25
  to
• 28:25
  kind
• 28:26
  of
• 28:26
  handle
• 28:27
  everything
• 28:27
  from
• 28:28
  there
• 28:28
  on
• 28:28
  out,
• 28:28
  whether
• 28:28
  it
• 28:29
  needs
• 28:29
  to
• 28:29
  be
• 28:29
  rescheduled
• 28:30
  or
• 28:30
  you
• 28:30
  know,
• 28:32
  you
• 28:32
  know,
• 28:33
  all
• 28:33
  sorts
• 28:33
  of
• 28:33
  different
• 28:34
  things.
• 28:34
  So
• 28:34
  you
• 28:34
  know,
• 28:35
  the
• 28:35
  shop's
• 28:35
  busy
• 28:35
  enough
• 28:36
  that
• 28:37
  you
• 28:37
  know,
• 28:37
  when
• 28:37
  the
• 28:37
  guide
• 28:37
  service
• 28:38
  gets
• 28:38
  really
• 28:38
  busy,
• 28:39
  it's,
• 28:40
  it's
• 28:40
  nice
• 28:40
  for
• 28:40
  me
• 28:41
  to
• 28:41
  be
• 28:41
  able
• 28:41
  to
• 28:41
  take
• 28:41
  a
• 28:41
  little
• 28:42
  bit
• 28:42
  of
• 28:43
  work
• 28:43
  off
• 28:43
  their
• 28:43
  hands
• 28:44
  with
• 28:44
  the
• 28:45
  shop
• 28:45
  being
• 28:45
  so
• 28:45
  busy.
• 28:46
  Yeah,
• 28:46
  because
• 28:46
  you
• 28:47
  live
• 28:47
  what,
• 28:47
  probably
• 28:47
  what,
• 28:48
  an
• 28:48
  hour
• 28:48
  and
• 28:48
  a
• 28:48
  half,
• 28:48
  hour
• 28:48
  and
• 28:48
  45
• 28:49
  minutes
• 28:49
  from
• 28:49
  the
• 28:49
  shop.
• 28:50
  Right.
• 28:50
  And
• 28:50
  so
• 28:50
  does
• 28:50
  like
• 28:50
  Dustin
• 28:51
  and
• 28:51
  the
• 28:51
  guys
• 28:51
  that
• 28:51
  are
• 28:51
  guiding
• 28:52
  out
• 28:52
  on
• 28:52
  the
• 28:52
  alley.
• 28:53
  Yeah,
• 28:53
  yeah,
• 28:54
  we're
• 28:54
  all
• 28:54
  about
• 28:54
  2
• 28:55
  hours,
• 28:55
  2
• 28:56
  hours,
• 28:56
  15
• 28:56
  minutes,
• 28:57
  something
• 28:57
  like
• 28:57
  that.
• 28:58
  Yeah.
• 28:59
  And
• 28:59
  so
• 28:59
  interesting
• 28:59
  too.
• 29:00
  And
• 29:00
  I
• 29:00
  mean
• 29:00
  you
• 29:00
  touched
• 29:01
  on
• 29:01
  this
• 29:01
  a
• 29:01
  little
• 29:01
  bit
• 29:01
  earlier
• 29:02
  but
• 29:02
  you
• 29:02
  know,
• 29:02
  talk
• 29:03
  a
• 29:03
  little
• 29:03
  bit
• 29:03
  about
• 29:03
  the
• 29:04
  advantages
• 29:04
  of
• 29:04
  having,
• 29:05
  you
• 29:05
  know,
• 29:05
  it's
• 29:06
  one
• 29:06
  thing
• 29:06
  to
• 29:06
  be
• 29:06
  a
• 29:06
  guide
• 29:06
  and
• 29:07
  you
• 29:07
  could
• 29:07
  be
• 29:07
  an
• 29:07
  independent
• 29:07
  guide
• 29:08
  or
• 29:08
  outfitter,
• 29:08
  but
• 29:08
  you
• 29:08
  know,
• 29:09
  to
• 29:09
  be
• 29:09
  able
• 29:09
  to
• 29:09
  have
• 29:10
  a
• 29:10
  full
• 29:10
  service
• 29:10
  fly
• 29:11
  shop
• 29:11
  like
• 29:11
  Mad
• 29:12
  river
• 29:12
  kind
• 29:12
  of
• 29:13
  behind
• 29:13
  you
• 29:13
  and
• 29:13
  kind
• 29:13
  of
• 29:13
  what
• 29:14
  does
• 29:14
  that
• 29:14
  you
• 29:14
  know,
• 29:14
  mean
• 29:14
  from
• 29:15
  you
• 29:15
  know,
• 29:16
  making
• 29:16
  the
• 29:16
  impact
• 29:17
  it
• 29:17
  has
• 29:17
  on
• 29:17
  your
• 29:17
  guiding
• 29:18
  but
• 29:18
  also
• 29:18
  you
• 29:18
  know,
• 29:18
  your
• 29:19
  clients
• 29:19
  experience.
• 29:21
  Yeah.
• 29:21
  So
• 29:22
  it's,
• 29:22
  it's
• 29:22
  always
• 29:23
  nice
• 29:23
  to
• 29:25
  have
• 29:25
  somewhere
• 29:26
  you
• 29:26
  can
• 29:27
  send
• 29:27
  your
• 29:27
  customers
• 29:28
  that
• 29:28
  you
• 29:28
  know
• 29:29
  is
• 29:29
  going
• 29:29
  to
• 29:29
  be
• 29:29
  reliable
• 29:30
  and
• 29:31
  you
• 29:31
  know,
• 29:31
  not
• 29:31
  just
• 29:32
  carry
• 29:32
  a
• 29:32
  whole
• 29:33
  bunch
• 29:33
  of
• 29:33
  gear
• 29:33
  for
• 29:34
  a
• 29:34
  bunch
• 29:34
  of
• 29:34
  different
• 29:35
  fisheries.
• 29:35
  But
• 29:36
  you
• 29:37
  know,
• 29:37
  you
• 29:37
  can
• 29:37
  have
• 29:38
  that
• 29:38
  customer
• 29:38
  call
• 29:39
  or
• 29:39
  walk
• 29:39
  into
• 29:39
  that
• 29:40
  shop
• 29:40
  and
• 29:40
  you
• 29:40
  know,
• 29:41
  know
• 29:41
  they're
• 29:41
  going
• 29:41
  to
• 29:41
  be
• 29:41
  well
• 29:42
  taken
• 29:42
  care
• 29:42
  of.
• 29:44
  You
• 29:44
  know,
• 29:44
  we
• 29:44
  have
• 29:46
  an
• 29:46
  insanely
• 29:47
  Good
• 29:47
  staff
• 29:48
  that,
• 29:48
  that
• 29:48
  works
• 29:49
  for
• 29:49
  our
• 29:49
  shop
• 29:50
  that
• 29:51
  are
• 29:52
  talented
• 29:52
  in
• 29:53
  so
• 29:53
  many
• 29:53
  different
• 29:53
  ways.
• 29:55
  Customer
• 29:56
  service
• 29:56
  wise
• 29:57
  and
• 29:57
  fishing
• 29:57
  wise.
• 29:58
  That
• 29:59
  is.
• 29:59
  It's
• 29:59
  super
• 29:59
  cool
• 30:00
  to
• 30:00
  have
• 30:00
  that
• 30:00
  behind.
• 30:01
  Behind
• 30:01
  our
• 30:02
  guide
• 30:02
  service.
• 30:03
  Yeah,
• 30:04
  it's
• 30:04
  an
• 30:04
  amazing.
• 30:04
  I
• 30:04
  had
• 30:04
  an
• 30:05
  opportunity
• 30:05
  to
• 30:05
  go
• 30:05
  in
• 30:05
  the
• 30:05
  shop
• 30:06
  after
• 30:06
  I
• 30:06
  fished
• 30:07
  with
• 30:07
  you
• 30:07
  guys
• 30:07
  and
• 30:07
  I
• 30:07
  mean,
• 30:08
  dude,
• 30:08
  it's
• 30:09
  an
• 30:09
  operation,
• 30:09
  isn't.
• 30:09
  That's
• 30:10
  an
• 30:10
  understatement.
• 30:11
  Yeah.
• 30:12
  And
• 30:12
  it's,
• 30:12
  it's
• 30:13
  every.
• 30:13
  Everybody's
• 30:14
  got
• 30:14
  a
• 30:14
  role
• 30:14
  and
• 30:15
  everybody
• 30:15
  does
• 30:15
  that
• 30:15
  role
• 30:16
  extremely
• 30:16
  well.
• 30:17
  Yeah.
• 30:18
  And
• 30:18
  so,
• 30:18
  you
• 30:18
  know,
• 30:18
  we
• 30:18
  had
• 30:18
  mentioned
• 30:19
  before
• 30:19
  we
• 30:19
  started
• 30:19
  recording,
• 30:20
  we
• 30:20
  were
• 30:20
  talking
• 30:20
  you
• 30:20
  had
• 30:21
  just
• 30:21
  gotten
• 30:21
  back
• 30:21
  from
• 30:21
  a
• 30:21
  White
• 30:22
  river
• 30:22
  trip.
• 30:22
  But
• 30:22
  I
• 30:22
  know
• 30:22
  one
• 30:23
  of
• 30:23
  the
• 30:23
  things
• 30:23
  that
• 30:23
  you
• 30:23
  do
• 30:23
  at
• 30:24
  MRO
• 30:24
  is
• 30:24
  you're
• 30:24
  kind
• 30:24
  of
• 30:25
  the
• 30:25
  guy
• 30:26
  doing
• 30:26
  like
• 30:26
  the
• 30:26
  muskie
• 30:27
  schools
• 30:27
  and
• 30:27
  all
• 30:27
  these
• 30:28
  kind
• 30:28
  of
• 30:28
  little
• 30:28
  destination
• 30:29
  travel
• 30:30
  schools
• 30:31
  around
• 30:31
  the
• 30:31
  country
• 30:31
  for
• 30:32
  mro.
• 30:32
  You
• 30:32
  want
• 30:32
  to
• 30:32
  talk
• 30:33
  a
• 30:33
  little
• 30:33
  bit
• 30:33
  about
• 30:33
  that?
• 30:34
  Yeah.
• 30:35
  Yeah.
• 30:35
  So
• 30:35
  I,
• 30:35
  I
• 30:35
  get
• 30:36
  to
• 30:36
  do
• 30:37
  the
• 30:37
  muskie
• 30:37
  school
• 30:38
  with
• 30:38
  Blane
• 30:38
  Chocklett
• 30:39
  and
• 30:39
  the
• 30:39
  crew
• 30:40
  at
• 30:40
  Virginia
• 30:40
  Trophy
• 30:41
  Guides
• 30:41
  down
• 30:41
  in
• 30:41
  Roanoke,
• 30:42
  Virginia
• 30:42
  Every,
• 30:43
  every
• 30:43
  January.
• 30:44
  That's,
• 30:44
  that's
• 30:45
  been
• 30:45
  super
• 30:45
  cool.
• 30:45
  I
• 30:46
  think
• 30:46
  we've
• 30:46
  done
• 30:46
  it.
• 30:48
  I
• 30:48
  think
• 30:48
  this
• 30:49
  year,
• 30:49
  2026.
• 30:50
  I
• 30:50
  think
• 30:50
  that
• 30:50
  was,
• 30:51
  I
• 30:51
  think
• 30:51
  this
• 30:51
  is
• 30:51
  our
• 30:52
  third
• 30:52
  season
• 30:52
  doing
• 30:53
  that
• 30:54
  and
• 30:54
  it's,
• 30:54
  it's
• 30:55
  always
• 30:55
  been
• 30:55
  super
• 30:55
  cool.
• 30:57
  I
• 30:58
  had
• 30:58
  always
• 30:58
  wanted
• 30:58
  to
• 30:59
  do
• 30:59
  a
• 30:59
  hosted
• 31:00
  group
• 31:00
  down
• 31:00
  there
• 31:01
  with
• 31:01
  my
• 31:01
  buddies
• 31:01
  that
• 31:02
  work
• 31:02
  for
• 31:03
  Virginia
• 31:04
  Trophy
• 31:04
  Guides.
• 31:04
  And
• 31:05
  you
• 31:05
  know,
• 31:05
  the
• 31:05
  shop
• 31:05
  has
• 31:06
  always
• 31:06
  worked
• 31:06
  super
• 31:06
  closely
• 31:07
  with
• 31:07
  Blaine
• 31:08
  over
• 31:08
  the
• 31:08
  years
• 31:09
  and
• 31:10
  we
• 31:10
  kind
• 31:10
  of
• 31:10
  meshed
• 31:11
  it
• 31:11
  into
• 31:11
  a
• 31:11
  school
• 31:12
  and
• 31:12
  a
• 31:12
  trip
• 31:12
  all
• 31:13
  in
• 31:13
  one
• 31:13
  and
• 31:13
  it's,
• 31:14
  it's
• 31:14
  a
• 31:14
  really
• 31:15
  unique
• 31:15
  offering
• 31:16
  in
• 31:16
  that,
• 31:16
  you
• 31:17
  know,
• 31:17
  most
• 31:17
  of
• 31:17
  these
• 31:18
  hosted
• 31:18
  groups
• 31:19
  that
• 31:19
  you
• 31:19
  go
• 31:19
  on,
• 31:20
  you
• 31:20
  know,
• 31:20
  you
• 31:20
  show
• 31:20
  up,
• 31:21
  you
• 31:21
  eat,
• 31:21
  you
• 31:21
  drink
• 31:21
  and
• 31:22
  you
• 31:22
  fish.
• 31:22
  But
• 31:22
  this
• 31:22
  one
• 31:23
  is,
• 31:23
  you
• 31:23
  know,
• 31:24
  muskie,
• 31:24
  as
• 31:25
  we
• 31:25
  all
• 31:25
  know,
• 31:25
  is
• 31:25
  a,
• 31:26
  is
• 31:26
  a
• 31:26
  different
• 31:26
  caliber
• 31:27
  species
• 31:27
  and
• 31:28
  it
• 31:28
  takes
• 31:28
  a
• 31:29
  different
• 31:29
  type
• 31:29
  of
• 31:29
  person
• 31:30
  to,
• 31:30
  to
• 31:31
  be
• 31:31
  able
• 31:31
  to
• 31:31
  do
• 31:31
  it
• 31:31
  and
• 31:32
  be,
• 31:32
  be
• 31:33
  successful
• 31:33
  at
• 31:33
  it.
• 31:34
  So
• 31:35
  having
• 31:35
  a,
• 31:35
  having
• 31:35
  a
• 31:36
  one
• 31:36
  day
• 31:36
  masterclass
• 31:37
  and
• 31:38
  on
• 31:39
  the
• 31:39
  front
• 31:39
  end
• 31:39
  of
• 31:39
  things,
• 31:40
  followed
• 31:40
  up
• 31:40
  by
• 31:40
  four
• 31:41
  days
• 31:41
  of
• 31:41
  fishing
• 31:41
  is,
• 31:42
  is
• 31:42
  a
• 31:43
  super
• 31:43
  cool
• 31:43
  program
• 31:44
  and
• 31:45
  everybody
• 31:45
  that's
• 31:46
  come
• 31:46
  on
• 31:46
  it
• 31:46
  has,
• 31:47
  has
• 31:48
  always,
• 31:48
  always
• 31:48
  taken
• 31:49
  something
• 31:49
  away
• 31:50
  from
• 31:50
  it,
• 31:51
  which
• 31:51
  has
• 31:51
  been
• 31:51
  super,
• 31:52
  super
• 31:52
  cool.
• 31:53
  And
• 31:53
  then,
• 31:53
  yeah,
• 31:53
  I
• 31:54
  get
• 31:54
  to
• 31:54
  do
• 31:54
  some
• 31:54
  other
• 31:55
  travel
• 31:55
  trips.
• 31:55
  I
• 31:56
  get
• 31:56
  to
• 31:56
  do,
• 31:57
  get
• 31:57
  to
• 31:57
  do
• 31:58
  the
• 31:58
  White
• 31:58
  river
• 31:58
  every
• 31:58
  year
• 31:59
  down
• 31:59
  in
• 32:00
  Flippin
• 32:00
  and
• 32:01
  Cotter,
• 32:01
  Arkansas
• 32:02
  with
• 32:02
  Ben
• 32:02
  Woodard
• 32:02
  and
• 32:03
  his
• 32:03
  crew
• 32:03
  at
• 32:03
  the,
• 32:04
  at
• 32:04
  the
• 32:04
  White
• 32:04
  River
• 32:04
  Trout
• 32:05
  Club.
• 32:05
  That's
• 32:05
  always
• 32:05
  a
• 32:06
  super
• 32:06
  fun
• 32:06
  one.
• 32:06
  We
• 32:07
  did
• 32:07
  caddis
• 32:08
  this
• 32:08
  year.
• 32:08
  Did.
• 32:10
  I
• 32:10
  think
• 32:10
  we're
• 32:10
  going
• 32:11
  to
• 32:11
  go
• 32:11
  back
• 32:11
  and
• 32:11
  we're
• 32:12
  going
• 32:12
  to
• 32:12
  do
• 32:12
  some
• 32:12
  sulphurs
• 32:13
  maybe
• 32:13
  in
• 32:14
  June
• 32:14
  next
• 32:14
  year.
• 32:15
  So
• 32:16
  yeah,
• 32:16
  I
• 32:16
  get
• 32:16
  to
• 32:17
  get
• 32:17
  to
• 32:17
  do
• 32:17
  a
• 32:17
  good
• 32:17
  bit
• 32:17
  of
• 32:18
  stuff.
• 32:18
  It's
• 32:18
  super
• 32:18
  fun.
• 32:19
  Interesting.
• 32:19
  Any
• 32:20
  other
• 32:21
  kind
• 32:21
  of
• 32:21
  schools,
• 32:21
  destination,
• 32:22
  things
• 32:22
  you're
• 32:22
  involved
• 32:23
  with
• 32:23
  other
• 32:23
  than
• 32:23
  the
• 32:23
  Muskie
• 32:24
  School
• 32:24
  and
• 32:24
  the
• 32:24
  White
• 32:24
  River?
• 32:26
  Nothing.
• 32:27
  Nothing
• 32:27
  right
• 32:28
  now.
• 32:29
  Got
• 32:29
  some
• 32:29
  other
• 32:29
  things
• 32:30
  in
• 32:30
  the
• 32:30
  works
• 32:30
  for
• 32:30
  the
• 32:31
  future
• 32:31
  that
• 32:32
  will
• 32:32
  hopefully
• 32:33
  pan
• 32:33
  out.
• 32:34
  But
• 32:35
  yeah,
• 32:35
  I
• 32:36
  keep
• 32:36
  a
• 32:37
  pretty
• 32:37
  busy
• 32:37
  guide
• 32:38
  season.
• 32:38
  That's,
• 32:38
  that's
• 32:39
  definitely
• 32:39
  where,
• 32:39
  where
• 32:40
  most
• 32:40
  of
• 32:40
  my
• 32:41
  income
• 32:41
  comes
• 32:41
  from.
• 32:42
  But
• 32:42
  it's,
• 32:43
  it's
• 32:43
  always
• 32:43
  fun
• 32:43
  to
• 32:44
  be
• 32:44
  able
• 32:44
  to
• 32:44
  get
• 32:44
  away
• 32:44
  and,
• 32:44
  and
• 32:45
  host
• 32:45
  these
• 32:45
  other
• 32:46
  like
• 32:46
  the
• 32:46
  Muskie
• 32:47
  School
• 32:47
  and
• 32:47
  the
• 32:47
  White
• 32:48
  river
• 32:48
  and,
• 32:48
  and
• 32:49
  things
• 32:49
  like
• 32:49
  that.
• 32:49
  Yeah.
• 32:50
  And
• 32:50
  I
• 32:50
  guess
• 32:50
  if
• 32:50
  folks
• 32:50
  are
• 32:51
  interested
• 32:51
  in
• 32:51
  either
• 32:51
  of
• 32:52
  those,
• 32:52
  I
• 32:52
  guess
• 32:52
  what
• 32:52
  the
• 32:52
  best
• 32:53
  place
• 32:53
  is
• 32:53
  probably.
• 32:53
  I
• 32:53
  wouldn't,
• 32:54
  it
• 32:54
  would
• 32:54
  not
• 32:54
  surprise
• 32:55
  me
• 32:55
  if
• 32:55
  the
• 32:55
  dates
• 32:55
  aren't
• 32:56
  already
• 32:56
  up
• 32:56
  for
• 32:56
  2027
• 32:58
  to
• 32:58
  go
• 32:58
  to
• 32:59
  the
• 32:59
  MRO
• 32:59
  website,
• 33:00
  right?
• 33:01
  Yep,
• 33:01
  yep.
• 33:01
  You
• 33:02
  can,
• 33:02
  yeah,
• 33:02
  you
• 33:02
  can
• 33:03
  go
• 33:03
  to
• 33:03
  our
• 33:03
  website.
• 33:04
  You
• 33:04
  know,
• 33:04
  you
• 33:05
  can
• 33:05
  always,
• 33:06
  always
• 33:06
  message
• 33:07
  me
• 33:07
  on
• 33:07
  Instagram,
• 33:08
  Facebook,
• 33:08
  things
• 33:08
  like
• 33:09
  that
• 33:09
  if
• 33:10
  you
• 33:10
  want
• 33:10
  to
• 33:10
  find
• 33:10
  out
• 33:10
  more
• 33:11
  info
• 33:11
  and,
• 33:12
  and
• 33:12
  things
• 33:12
  like
• 33:13
  that.
• 33:14
  Yeah.
• 33:14
  And
• 33:14
  I
• 33:14
  guess
• 33:15
  you
• 33:15
  come
• 33:15
  back
• 33:15
  from
• 33:15
  Alaska
• 33:16
  and
• 33:16
  you
• 33:16
  start
• 33:16
  guiding
• 33:16
  for
• 33:17
  Steelhead.
• 33:17
  Are
• 33:17
  you
• 33:17
  and
• 33:17
  Dustin
• 33:18
  planning
• 33:18
  to
• 33:18
  do
• 33:18
  your
• 33:19
  tying
• 33:19
  nights
• 33:20
  starting
• 33:20
  next
• 33:20
  fall
• 33:20
  and
• 33:21
  into
• 33:21
  the
• 33:21
  winter?
• 33:22
  Yeah,
• 33:22
  yeah,
• 33:22
  we're,
• 33:23
  we'll
• 33:23
  probably
• 33:24
  start
• 33:24
  those
• 33:24
  up
• 33:25
  November,
• 33:26
  December.
• 33:27
  Um,
• 33:27
  that
• 33:27
  was
• 33:28
  something
• 33:28
  really
• 33:28
  cool
• 33:28
  that
• 33:28
  we
• 33:29
  started
• 33:29
  up
• 33:29
  at
• 33:30
  our
• 33:30
  local
• 33:30
  brewery
• 33:30
  here
• 33:31
  in
• 33:31
  Euclid,
• 33:31
  Ohio.
• 33:32
  Collision
• 33:33
  Bend
• 33:33
  Brewery.
• 33:35
  Every
• 33:36
  Tuesday
• 33:36
  night,
• 33:36
  6:30
• 33:37
  to
• 33:37
  9,
• 33:38
  we
• 33:38
  have
• 33:38
  a,
• 33:38
  have
• 33:38
  a
• 33:39
  pretty
• 33:39
  regular
• 33:40
  crew
• 33:40
  of
• 33:40
  like
• 33:40
  nine
• 33:41
  or
• 33:41
  ten
• 33:41
  people
• 33:41
  show
• 33:42
  up
• 33:42
  and
• 33:42
  it
• 33:42
  was,
• 33:43
  it
• 33:43
  was
• 33:43
  a
• 33:43
  cool
• 33:43
  way
• 33:43
  to
• 33:44
  kind
• 33:44
  of
• 33:44
  get
• 33:45
  the,
• 33:45
  get
• 33:45
  the
• 33:45
  Cleveland
• 33:46
  community
• 33:47
  involved
• 33:47
  and,
• 33:48
  and
• 33:49
  learn
• 33:49
  and
• 33:50
  you
• 33:51
  know,
• 33:51
  meet
• 33:51
  a
• 33:51
  bunch
• 33:51
  of
• 33:52
  other
• 33:52
  other
• 33:52
  folks
• 33:52
  around
• 33:53
  the
• 33:53
  area.
• 33:54
  Very
• 33:54
  cool.
• 33:54
  Have
• 33:55
  you
• 33:55
  figured
• 33:55
  out
• 33:55
  how
• 33:55
  much
• 33:56
  money
• 33:56
  you
• 33:56
  raised
• 33:56
  with
• 33:56
  your
• 33:57
  special
• 33:57
  edition
• 33:58
  beer?
• 33:59
  I
• 33:59
  will
• 34:00
  find
• 34:00
  out
• 34:01
  probably
• 34:02
  next
• 34:02
  week.
• 34:03
  I
• 34:03
  gotta,
• 34:04
  I
• 34:04
  gotta
• 34:04
  find
• 34:04
  that
• 34:04
  out
• 34:05
  pretty
• 34:05
  soon.
• 34:05
  So.
• 34:07
  Yeah.
• 34:07
  So
• 34:07
  you
• 34:07
  wanna
• 34:07
  let
• 34:08
  the
• 34:08
  listeners
• 34:08
  know
• 34:08
  if
• 34:08
  they
• 34:09
  haven't
• 34:09
  been
• 34:09
  able
• 34:09
  to
• 34:09
  make
• 34:09
  it
• 34:10
  to
• 34:10
  one
• 34:10
  of
• 34:10
  the
• 34:10
  tying
• 34:10
  events.
• 34:10
  The
• 34:11
  beer
• 34:11
  and
• 34:11
  what
• 34:11
  you,
• 34:11
  the
• 34:11
  money
• 34:12
  you
• 34:12
  raised
• 34:12
  and
• 34:12
  what
• 34:12
  you're
• 34:12
  using
• 34:12
  it
• 34:13
  for.
• 34:13
  Yeah,
• 34:14
  yeah.
• 34:14
  So
• 34:14
  we,
• 34:15
  we
• 34:15
  did
• 34:15
  a
• 34:15
  collaboration
• 34:16
  beer
• 34:17
  with,
• 34:17
  with
• 34:17
  Collision
• 34:18
  Bend
• 34:18
  Brewery
• 34:19
  in
• 34:19
  Euclid,
• 34:19
  Ohio
• 34:20
  and
• 34:21
  then
• 34:21
  Mad
• 34:21
  River
• 34:21
  Outfitters
• 34:22
  out
• 34:22
  of
• 34:22
  Columbus.
• 34:25
  It's
• 34:25
  a,
• 34:25
  it's
• 34:26
  a
• 34:26
  hella
• 34:26
  style
• 34:27
  lager.
• 34:27
  It's
• 34:27
  called
• 34:28
  the
• 34:28
  Steelhead
• 34:28
  Sipa.
• 34:29
  And
• 34:30
  a
• 34:31
  dollar
• 34:32
  from
• 34:32
  Mad
• 34:32
  River
• 34:33
  Outfitters
• 34:33
  and
• 34:33
  a
• 34:34
  dollar
• 34:34
  from
• 34:35
  Collision
• 34:35
  Bend
• 34:36
  off
• 34:36
  of
• 34:37
  every
• 34:37
  pipe
• 34:37
  sold
• 34:38
  is
• 34:38
  going
• 34:38
  to
• 34:39
  the
• 34:39
  Cleveland
• 34:39
  Metro
• 34:40
  Parks
• 34:40
  Fisheries
• 34:41
  Fund.
• 34:41
  So
• 34:42
  you
• 34:42
  know,
• 34:42
  going
• 34:42
  directly
• 34:43
  into
• 34:43
  our
• 34:44
  fisheries
• 34:45
  around
• 34:45
  this
• 34:45
  area,
• 34:46
  which
• 34:46
  if
• 34:46
  you're
• 34:46
  familiar
• 34:47
  with
• 34:47
  a
• 34:47
  Lot
• 34:47
  of
• 34:47
  our
• 34:47
  steelhead
• 34:48
  alley
• 34:48
  streams.
• 34:49
  A
• 34:49
  lot
• 34:50
  of
• 34:50
  the
• 34:50
  access
• 34:50
  points,
• 34:51
  especially
• 34:51
  the
• 34:52
  stuff
• 34:52
  that's
• 34:53
  close
• 34:53
  to
• 34:53
  Cleveland,
• 34:54
  is
• 34:54
  all
• 34:56
  Cleveland,
• 34:56
  Cuyahoga
• 34:57
  county
• 34:57
  metro
• 34:57
  parks
• 34:58
  area.
• 34:59
  Very,
• 34:59
  very
• 35:00
  cool.
• 35:00
  And
• 35:00
  the
• 35:00
  food
• 35:00
  there
• 35:01
  is
• 35:01
  very
• 35:01
  good
• 35:01
  as
• 35:01
  well.
• 35:02
  Very,
• 35:03
  very
• 35:03
  good.
• 35:03
  Yeah.
• 35:04
  And
• 35:04
  so
• 35:04
  before
• 35:05
  I
• 35:05
  let
• 35:05
  you
• 35:05
  hop
• 35:05
  this
• 35:05
  evening,
• 35:06
  is
• 35:06
  there
• 35:06
  anything
• 35:06
  else
• 35:06
  you
• 35:07
  want
• 35:07
  to
• 35:07
  share
• 35:07
  with
• 35:07
  our
• 35:07
  listeners?
• 35:08
  No,
• 35:09
  I
• 35:09
  think
• 35:09
  we
• 35:09
  covered
• 35:10
  pretty
• 35:10
  much
• 35:10
  everything.
• 35:11
  Yeah.
• 35:11
  You're
• 35:11
  not
• 35:12
  going
• 35:12
  to
• 35:12
  be
• 35:12
  in
• 35:12
  Alaska
• 35:12
  fishing
• 35:13
  and
• 35:13
  being
• 35:13
  like,
• 35:13
  darn,
• 35:13
  I
• 35:13
  wish
• 35:14
  I,
• 35:14
  like,
• 35:14
  brought
• 35:14
  that
• 35:15
  up.
• 35:17
  Hopefully
• 35:18
  not.
• 35:18
  Hopefully
• 35:19
  not.
• 35:19
  Yeah,
• 35:19
  hopefully
• 35:19
  not.
• 35:20
  And,
• 35:20
  you
• 35:20
  know,
• 35:20
  nothing
• 35:21
  more
• 35:21
  extravagant
• 35:21
  than
• 35:23
  sell
• 35:23
  by
• 35:24
  two
• 35:24
  old
• 35:24
  Topo
• 35:25
  Chico
• 35:26
  ginger
• 35:27
  beer
• 35:27
  for
• 35:28
  crazy
• 35:28
  purchases
• 35:28
  in
• 35:29
  Alaska.
• 35:30
  Correct.
• 35:30
  All
• 35:31
  right,
• 35:31
  well,
• 35:31
  we'll
• 35:31
  stick
• 35:32
  with
• 35:32
  that
• 35:32
  one.
• 35:32
  And
• 35:32
  so
• 35:32
  what's
• 35:33
  the
• 35:33
  best
• 35:33
  way,
• 35:33
  Josh,
• 35:34
  for
• 35:34
  folks
• 35:34
  to
• 35:34
  follow
• 35:35
  your
• 35:35
  adventures
• 35:35
  on
• 35:35
  the
• 35:36
  water
• 35:36
  and
• 35:36
  at
• 35:36
  the
• 35:36
  vice
• 35:36
  or
• 35:37
  to
• 35:37

• 35:37
  a
• 35:37
  day
• 35:38
  with
• 35:38
  you
• 35:38
  on
• 35:38
  the
• 35:38
  water?
• 35:39
  I
• 35:40
  would
• 35:40
  say
• 35:40
  I'm
• 35:41
  probably
• 35:41
  most
• 35:41
  active
• 35:42
  on
• 35:42
  Instagram.
• 35:43
  You
• 35:43
  can
• 35:43
  always
• 35:43
  just
• 35:44
  shoot
• 35:44

• 35:44
  a
• 35:44
  message
• 35:44
  there
• 35:45
  or
• 35:45
  kind
• 35:45
  of
• 35:45
  follow
• 35:45
  along.
• 35:46
  My
• 35:46

• 35:47
  is
• 35:48

• 35:48

  then
• 35:49

• 35:49

• 35:53
  You
• 35:54
  know,
• 35:54
  I'm
• 35:54
  pretty
• 35:54
  active
• 35:55
  on
• 35:55
  the
• 35:55
  Mad
• 35:55
  River
• 35:56
  Outfitters
• 35:56
  Instagram
• 35:57
  as
• 35:57
  well.
• 35:57
  That's
• 35:57
  just
• 35:58
  matter
• 35:58
  of
• 35:58
  our
• 35:58
  outfitters.
• 36:00
  And

  then,
• 36:01
  you
• 36:01
  know,
• 36:02

• 36:03
  feel
• 36:03

• 36:04
  the
• 36:04

• 36:05
  Give
• 36:05
  the
• 36:05
  shop
• 36:05
  call
• 36:05
  and.
• 36:06

• 36:07
  get
• 36:07
  on
• 36:07
  my
• 36:07
  schedule
• 36:08
  that
• 36:08
  way
• 36:08
  and.
• 36:09
  And
• 36:09
  things
• 36:09
  like
• 36:09
  that.
• 36:10
  It
• 36:10
  was
• 36:10
  super
• 36:11
  cool.
• 36:11
  I
• 36:11
  will
• 36:12
  drop

• 36:13
  in
• 36:14
  the
• 36:14

• 36:14
  And
• 36:15
  Josh,
• 36:15
  I
• 36:15
  appreciate
• 36:16
  you
• 36:16
  carving
• 36:16

• 36:16

• 36:22
  This
• 36:22
  was
• 36:22
  a
• 36:22
  pleasure.
• 36:23
  Absolutely.
• 36:24
  Take
• 36:24
  care.
• 36:25
